Summary

Joe Biden's State of the Union was a disaster in the making, and not for the reason you thought it was going to be a good one. The Vice President's motorcade was blocked by pro-Hamas crazies who were sitting out in the middle of the street in favor of Hamas, and a bunch of crazies were blocking his way to the Capitol building to deliver a speech to the American people. It's no mystery why the heck this happened, and it's even more troubling that it happened on the most watched night of the presidential year, and that it's coming from a guy who's running for president and is not even close to being on the same page as Donald Trump in the polls, let alone in the lead up to the mid-term elections. And it's no wonder that his team couldn't seem to get the message across to the country that the country is in good hands, or that it needs to be better than it is right now, because that's what we're all about, and Joe Biden is the problem, not the problem. The real problem is not that people are angry, it's that they're passionate and want too much, and they're just too passionate and they just want too hard. And that's why they're angry and they want to make a statement that's loud and they can't get their point across, and then they block the president's way in order to do it, and make sure they're loud and clear about it. and they don't have a chance to vote for the president in the midterms, and get their voice heard across the country and that they deserve to have a say in the process or not just to be heard in the message they're being heard. . Thank you for listening, and tweet me what you think of it! Transcript

00:00:00.000 So last night was Joe Biden's big State of the Union address and the stakes were high.
00:00:04.000 Because after all, this is a very closely fought election.
00:00:07.000 The President of the United States is ailing.
00:00:09.000 He has been trailing in the polls to Donald Trump, his arch nemesis.
00:00:13.000 And all he really had to do was be alive and be normal.
00:00:18.000 He did the first thing, he couldn't do the second thing, like, at all.
00:00:21.000 And one wonders what exactly his team thought they were doing when they wrote this State of the Union address, which was extraordinarily divisive, really polarizing, really quite nasty.
00:00:32.000 Did they think that the only way they were going to get him energetic enough for the speech was to ramp him up so high that they could not ramp him back down?
00:00:39.000 Whatever cocktail they used to awaken him.
00:00:42.000 Did they use too much?
00:00:43.000 Whatever it was, Joe Biden's State of the Union address last night was, I think for him, a disaster in the making.
00:00:49.000 Not for Democrats.
00:00:49.000 Democrats are pretending they love the thing.
00:00:51.000 And they were always going to pretend that they loved the thing, members.
00:00:53.000 The media were always going to use words like feisty, energetic, combative.
00:00:57.000 That was a foregone conclusion.
00:00:58.000 But if you were the median voter, the person who's deciding between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, And you watched Joe Biden last night.
00:01:05.000 Did that make you think our country is in the best of hands?
00:01:08.000 Or did it make you think angry old man screams at clouds and also thinks many, many Americans are terrible people and also has his priorities totally screwed up?
00:01:18.000 Because I think there are a lot of independents out there who are going to look at what Joe Biden did last night and how he acted and say to themselves, if they were trying to offer a contrast between crazy Trump over here and solid, stolid Joe over here, that missed.
00:01:32.000 Attitudinally, it missed.
00:01:33.000 Politically it missed.
00:01:35.000 I want to get to that in a moment but I think first we have to set the stage for the State of the Union Address.
00:01:38.000 Let me explain where we are in American politics at this point.
00:01:41.000 It's a damned clown show.
00:01:43.000 It is a complete and utter cluster.
00:01:45.000 It is a clown car filled with clowns and inside the clowns are more clowns.
00:01:50.000 That is where we are at this point in American politics.
00:01:53.000 It feels as though the WWE ate American politics and then vomited it back out and what is left on the floor is what we saw last night.
00:02:01.000 And it's true on all sides.
00:02:03.000 This is not even a partisan point.
00:02:04.000 I don't know how any rational person can look at the state of our Congress and think to themselves, we have elected the best.
00:02:10.000 Just across the board, we are electing the best people.
00:02:13.000 Or look at the situation in Washington, D.C.
00:02:16.000 and think to themselves, our country is on the right track.
00:02:18.000 This is a unified country filled with purpose.
00:02:21.000 This is a country that has real values at the root of it.
00:02:24.000 It's very hard to think about that when you see the visuals from last night.
00:02:27.000 So we begin before the State of the Union.
00:02:29.000 The State of the Union got started about 25 minutes late.
00:02:32.000 One of the reasons was because the Biden motorcade that was making its way from the White House to the Capitol building was blocked by a bunch of pro-Hamas crazies who were sitting out in the middle of the street in favor of Hamas.
00:02:44.000 And Joe Biden has been catering to these people.
00:02:46.000 He's been suggesting that the real problem is that they're just too passionate, folks.
00:02:49.000 It's not that they're wrong and that they're actively siding with the worst terror group in the region right now, which is saying a lot.
00:02:56.000 It is that they just believe too hard.
00:02:58.000 They just want too much.
00:03:00.000 And so last night, he allowed his motorcade to be blocked for legitimately dozens of minutes on the most watched night of the presidential year by a bunch of nutjobs Who are sitting in the middle of the street on behalf of terrorists who mass rape and murder people.
00:03:14.000 So, here was some of the footage last night in Washington, D.C.
00:03:17.000 As we say, this was in the lead-up to the State of the Union.
00:03:19.000 What you're seeing behind me are dozens of ceasefire protesters standing just a block or two away from the Capitol.
00:03:25.000 They have shut down Pennsylvania Avenue, this major road, what they believe could be the motorcade route for President Biden as he makes his way from the White House to the Capitol for the State of the Union speech.
00:03:37.000 Now, of course they know It is unlikely that they would actually stop the motorcade.
00:03:41.000 They considered this more of a symbolic protest.
00:03:45.000 They wanted to block this road to again keep up that pressure campaign against the president as those uncommitted votes are happening across the country.
00:03:53.000 They felt like this was the biggest platform where they could make a statement to the president and actually block his route to come and speak in front of Congress.
00:04:01.000 And again, CNN is very happy to cover all of this because the entire media narrative about Joe Biden's campaign is that he needs to push further to the left.
00:04:08.000 More.
00:04:09.000 More cowbell.
00:04:10.000 More to the left.
00:04:11.000 None of these people, by the way, were arrested.
00:04:13.000 As we'll see, that was not the story for the entirety of the night.
00:04:15.000 Someone was arrested for protesting last night, but it was not the people who are Pearl Hamas.
00:04:19.000 It was actually a gold star father.
00:04:21.000 We'll get to that a little bit later on.
00:04:23.000 Okay, then you actually enter the House of Congress.
00:04:25.000 And I got to tell you, When you see this cavalcade, this veritable cornucopia of stupidity and assaninity, all I can think to myself is...
00:04:36.000 There has never been a greater assemblage of IQ points since Bozo the Clown ate alone.
00:04:41.000 That is where we are.
00:04:44.000 From the moment that the cameras began to broadcast inside the Capitol building, and you could see who was there.
00:04:50.000 So first of all, just on an optic level, on an optic level, if you're a member of Congress, you should look like a member of Congress.
00:04:56.000 You should not look alternatively like a trucker or a terrorist.
00:05:00.000 You should look like, you know, you belong there.
00:05:02.000 That you're in the people's house.
00:05:04.000 That you're a representative of the American people.
00:05:08.000 And yet what we ended up with last night, because all the politics has become performative, WWE-style screaming at one another.
00:05:14.000 Because of all of that, that was represented, you know, quite well in Congress.
00:05:18.000 So we start with the left and then we'll get to the right momentarily.
00:05:20.000 We'll get to more on this in just one second.

00:06:18.000 Go to puretalk.com slash Shapiro and switch on over.
00:06:22.000 So, on the left, for example, you had Ilhan Omar and Ayanna Pressley, who are sitting there, clownishly sitting there, with little signs, as though they're at a terrorist auction, holding up signs.
00:06:36.000 One says, stop sending bombs.
00:06:37.000 That's the one being held by the pro-terrorist Ilhan Omar.
00:06:40.000 And Ayanna Pressley, who's the Ringo Starr of the Hamas squad, holding up a sign that says, lasting ceasefire now.
00:06:47.000 They're holding up their little signs.
00:06:49.000 So that was just truly terrific.
00:06:51.000 Then you had other members of the squad draping each other in the keffiyeh, which is the Palestinian dress scarf that has been historically associated with terrorism.
00:07:05.000 It was really made famous by Yasser Arafat, the arch terrorist who really led off the era of plane hijackings back in the 1970s.
00:07:12.000 It is folded in a particular way.
00:07:14.000 It is highly associated with terrorists right now living in the Gaza Strip.
00:07:19.000 And you have members of Congress like Rashida Tlaib presiding over other members of Congress like Cori Bush draping each other in the Palestinian keffiyeh.
00:07:28.000 Absolute clown show.
00:07:29.000 And this is the clown show on the left.
00:07:30.000 The clown show on the left is politically motivated clown show.
00:07:36.000 Again, the clownishness of the left is always refracted through the prism of something highly political.
00:07:42.000 Then there's the clown show of the right, which is just dumb.
00:07:44.000 I mean, I'm sorry, it's just dumb.
00:07:47.000 So let me present to you two Congress people and how they decided to dress for the State of the Union last night.
00:07:52.000 So Marjorie Taylor Greene decided to go as a trucker.
00:07:55.000 She wore a red jacket above a t-shirt that said, say her name.
00:08:02.000 She was advocating in favor of something that was actually good and proper and right, which is Lakin Riley, who is the woman who was just murdered by an illegal immigrant at the University of Georgia.
00:08:09.000 All of that would have been fine.
00:08:11.000 It would have been better if she had been dressed like, you know, a congressperson sitting in Congress.
00:08:15.000 Instead, she wore a MAGA hat, a red jacket with multiple buttons on it, as though she's wearing a flare.
00:08:22.000 In terms of the image that you're projecting to the American public, because remember, most people don't watch politics the way that you do if you watch or listen to this show.
00:08:29.000 Not exactly the image that you want to promote.
00:08:30.000 So on the one hand, you have Ayanna Pressley and Cori Bush and AOC and the squad dressing up like fans of Hamas, like clapping along and holding up their lighters in the air for Hamas.
00:08:41.000 And on the other hand, you have Marjorie Taylor Greene and Troy Nels, congressmen from Texas, who decided that he was going to wear a t-shirt that was a mug shot Of Donald Trump.
00:08:53.000 That was like an actual thing.
00:08:55.000 He wore a t-shirt that is a mugshot of Donald Trump that says, never surrender beneath his suit jacket.
00:09:01.000 Like, dude, who are you winning?
00:09:06.000 All you have to do is not be crazy and no one can do it.
00:09:10.000 No one can not be crazy.
00:09:12.000 No one.
00:09:13.000 So you look at the Congress people, then you look at the cabinet, and you see this gaggle of dolts walking in from the Biden administration.
00:09:21.000 And it's the Secretary of State, Tony Blinken, who is currently simultaneously trying to fund the Israelis and fund the terrorists.
00:09:28.000 We'll get to that in a little bit.
00:09:29.000 You have Lloyd Austin, who when he's not in a hospital, is doing a terrible job trying to fill military recruitment spots.
00:09:37.000 You have the Secretary of Commerce, Gina Raimondo, Who has just done wonders for commerce and unblocking those supply lines and all the rest of it.
00:09:45.000 It's been great.
00:09:45.000 You have Pete Buttigieg, fresh off paternity leave.
00:09:48.000 He's been back from paternity leave for maybe a year at this point, but nobody noticed that he came back.
00:09:52.000 But he was there looking like Howdy Doody.
00:09:55.000 So that was great.
00:09:55.000 I mean, it's just a parade of idiocy walking in.
00:10:00.000 And that's your stage.
00:10:01.000 That's what sets the stage.
00:10:03.000 And then the speech begins.
00:10:05.000 And Joe Biden comes in hot.
00:10:08.000 He comes in really, really hot.
00:10:10.000 So Joe Biden gets in there and he opens with a joke that nobody understands.
00:10:13.000 Like, this is gonna be a long night.
00:10:15.000 It was.
00:10:15.000 It was a very, very long speech.
00:10:17.000 And it's a particularly long speech when you don't understand what's being yelled at you.
00:10:22.000 It was to me like being yelled at.
00:10:25.000 In Polish.
00:10:26.000 I have no idea what half the speech was because he was slurring his words so badly.
00:10:30.000 I understand that the baseline, the bar for Democrats was set at, will he die?
00:10:36.000 And I understand all he had to do to not go below that bar was actually not die.
00:10:42.000 That's just a really low baseline.
00:10:44.000 And we'll give him credit for that.
00:10:45.000 He was breathing both at the beginning of last night and at the end of last night.
00:10:48.000 And in between there was an extraordinary amount of yelling and haranguing and a lot of I would look away from the TV for just a moment and just listen.
00:11:01.000 And you could not tell what the hell he was saying.
00:11:04.000 He went from this, this was the trajectory of his speech, just to give you the quick preview.
00:11:07.000 The trajectory of Joe Biden's speech last night was angry, energetic coherence at the very beginning, very, very angry, very, very over the top, insulting, but coherent.
00:11:19.000 And then it went to angry incoherence Loud incoherence.
00:11:26.000 And then it went to whispering incoherence, because he lost energy.
00:11:30.000 The drugs started to wear off about 40 minutes into this thing, and by the end he was gonna... At the very end, he kind of surged a little bit of energy in to get in his last licks.
00:11:40.000 What was very weird about the State of the Union is, of course, it was not a State of the Union arrest at all.
00:11:44.000 At all.
00:11:45.000 Normally, the President of the United States opens with some sort of broad peroration, and within the first couple of minutes, He says, the state of our union is strong.
00:11:53.000 And I've never heard a president get up there and say, the state of our union just sucks right now.
00:11:56.000 I got to tell you, it just blows, man.
00:11:58.000 They all say the same thing.
00:11:59.000 They talk about the glories and wonders of America, and then they say the state of our union is strong.
00:12:02.000 That's the formula.
00:12:04.000 Joe Biden gets up there and he immediately launches into a harangue against Republicans about Ukraine.
00:12:12.000 Well, this does a couple of things.
00:12:14.000 First of all, this starts the comparison that he is seeking to make between himself and Republicans.
00:12:20.000 According to Joe Biden, he is the Halcyon apex predator of democracy.
00:12:26.000 This guy is democracy embodied.
00:12:29.000 And all of his opponents are fascists.
00:12:30.000 They're not just fascists, by the way.
00:12:32.000 They're fascists who side with Putin.
00:12:34.000 That was the first five to 10 minutes of the speech.
00:12:37.000 We'll get some more on this in just a second.

00:13:31.000 Type in Ben Shapiro.
00:13:32.000 He opens up with a very weird joke that no one understands, which is his way.
00:13:37.000 You have to assume that's what he's going to do at the top now.
00:13:40.000 And then he starts comparing himself to Franklin Delano Roosevelt and suggesting that this is like 1941.
00:13:45.000 Here we go.
00:13:47.000 Mr. Speaker, Madam Vice President, members of Congress, my fellow Americans.
00:13:55.000 In January 1941, Franklin Roosevelt came to this chamber to speak to the nation.
00:14:02.000 And he said, I address you at a moment unprecedented in the history of the Union.
00:14:09.000 Hitler was on the march.
00:14:11.000 War was raging in Europe.
00:14:13.000 President Roosevelt's purpose was to wake up Congress and alert the American people that this was no ordinary time.
00:14:21.000 Freedom and democracy were under assault in the world.
00:14:25.000 Tonight, I come to this same chamber to address the nation.
00:14:30.000 Now it's we who face unprecedented moment in the history of the Union.
00:14:35.000 And yes, my purpose tonight is to wake up the Congress and alert the American people that this is no ordinary moment either.
00:14:43.000 Not since President Lincoln and the Civil War have freedom and democracy been under assault at home as they are today.
00:14:50.000 Okay, so his excuse for being a terrible president is that he is facing the two most historic crisis of the last two centuries in American life.
00:15:00.000 World War II?
00:15:01.000 And the Civil War.
00:15:02.000 Those are the two comparisons he makes off the bat.
00:15:04.000 Now, let's just be clear about where we are in American life right now.
00:15:07.000 You know what we're not doing?
00:15:09.000 Killing each other by the hundreds of thousands, which is what actually happened during the Civil War.
00:15:12.000 You know what we're not doing in America right now?
00:15:15.000 Holding hundreds of thousands of people in abject servitude and bondage, which is what was happening during and before the Civil War in the South.
00:15:21.000 You know what else is not happening right now?
00:15:24.000 We are not fighting a globalized world war against the Nazis and the Japanese and their allies.
00:15:29.000 That's a thing that's not happening right now.
00:15:32.000 I mean, these are things that I noticed.
00:15:34.000 When he compares the state of the country to the Civil War and World War II, that says something about him.
00:15:40.000 It says something about his governance.
00:15:42.000 Because if we are living in a time where zero American troops are currently overtly committed abroad in a war, Which is the case, right?
00:15:50.000 We do not have boots on the ground in Ukraine.
00:15:51.000 We do not have boots on ground in Gaza.
00:15:53.000 Well, we'll get to that in a moment because Joe Biden wants to put boots on the ground in favor of Hamas in Gaza, effectively speaking.
00:15:59.000 It's bizarre.
00:16:00.000 It makes no sense.
00:16:01.000 We'll get to that in a moment.
00:16:02.000 But we don't have major troop commitments around the world right now.
00:16:06.000 We don't have, according to him, any sort of serious economic turmoil.
00:16:09.000 The economy is going great guns.
00:16:10.000 And yet he's comparing us to 1941 and 1861.
00:16:13.000 Why?
00:16:14.000 Both of those situations, America had an enemy.
00:16:17.000 Who are the enemies, according to Joe Biden?
00:16:20.000 The enemies, as it turns out, are two.
00:16:22.000 Russia and you.
00:16:24.000 Those are the two enemies, according to Joe Biden.
00:16:26.000 And that's the linkage.
00:16:27.000 So he leads off with this long harangue about the war in Ukraine, about how this is a war on democracy.
00:16:33.000 Vladimir Putin has invaded a sovereign democratic nation, and the whole purpose of that is so he can get to what he says is an assault on democracy at home, which is about Donald Trump.
00:16:43.000 There are a few things that are weird about this particular tactic.
00:16:45.000 One, he starts off by saying there's a war on democracy around the world, and then he proceeds to cite the Russian war in Ukraine.
00:16:52.000 Totally fair, that's fine.
00:16:54.000 Ukraine is in fact a democratic state, however flawed and corrupt, and Russia is in fact an autocracy.
00:16:58.000 There is another democracy I noticed that is under grave assault right now from multiple directions.
00:17:04.000 From its north, by Hezbollah, and from its south, by Hamas.
00:17:08.000 It is, in fact, an American ally that just lost 1,200 of its citizens and 240 were taken, kidnapped.
00:17:16.000 And still 134 being held hostage.
00:17:18.000 Joe Biden said not one word in terms of attacks on democracy when he was talking about the Iranian multi-pronged attack on Israel.
00:17:25.000 Nothing here.
00:17:26.000 Why?
00:17:26.000 Because he is completely servile to his own base.
00:17:30.000 And when I say his base, I don't even mean most of his base.
00:17:32.000 I mean his radical fringe base.
00:17:34.000 He is servile to the Hamas squad.
00:17:35.000 They are running this place now.
00:17:37.000 They are the captain now.
00:17:39.000 That is why he didn't mention it there.
00:17:40.000 Okay, so he starts off with this long thing about Ukraine and Russia.
00:17:43.000 And I think most Americans are sitting home and they're like, um, you know, we got some problems at home.
00:17:46.000 Why don't we start with that one?
00:17:49.000 Right.
00:17:49.000 But why don't we start with like, you know, the border?
00:17:51.000 Why don't we start with inflation?
00:17:53.000 Why don't you make me feel better about my economic prospect?
00:17:57.000 By polling numbers, the Ukraine war is not in the top 10 top American priorities right now, and he led with it.
00:18:03.000 He led with it only because what he's attempting to do is label everyone who disagrees with him not only in league with Putin, but akin to Putin in terms of trying to overthrow democracy here at home.
00:18:14.000 So he starts off with all this Ukraine talk, and he compares himself to Ronald Reagan, which is amazing since he was an opponent of Ronald Reagan, obviously.
00:18:21.000 He was in the Senate at the time.
00:18:22.000 It wasn't long ago when a Republican president named Ronald Reagan thundered,
00:18:29.000 Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.
00:18:32.000 Now, my predecessor, a former Republican president tells Putin, quote, do whatever the hell you want.
00:18:51.000 That's a quote.
00:18:53.000 The former president actually said that bowing down to a Russian leader, I think it's outrageous, it's dangerous, and it's unacceptable.
00:19:03.000 So first of all, he's lying.
00:19:05.000 That's not really what Donald Trump said.
00:19:07.000 What Donald Trump said was, everybody in NATO needs to pay a percentage of GDP toward their defense in order to fulfill their NATO commitment, or I'm going to say to the Russian leaders, whatever the hell you want, which of course he's not really going to do.
00:19:19.000 It's an empty threat.
00:19:20.000 It's a gesture meant to say to NATO, pay your, in any case, put aside that.
00:19:25.000 None of this was really about Russia, Ukraine.
00:19:26.000 It was really about you.
00:19:28.000 You, the people, and the people who oppose him are the baddies.
00:19:32.000 Here is Joe Biden making the overt connection between Russia invading Ukraine and January 6th.
00:19:38.000 My message to President Putin, who I've known for a long time, is simple.
00:19:42.000 We will not walk away.
00:19:44.000 We will not bow down.
00:19:51.000 I will not bow down.
00:19:59.000 In a literal sense, history is watching.
00:20:02.000 History is watching.
00:20:04.000 Just like history watched three years ago on January 6th, when insurrections stormed this very Capitol and placed a dagger to the throat of American democracy.
00:20:14.000 We must be honest.
00:20:16.000 The threat to democracy must be defended.
00:20:19.000 My predecessor and some of you here seek to bury the truth about January 6th.
00:20:24.000 I will not do that.
00:20:26.000 This is the moment to speak the truth and to bury the lies.
00:20:30.000 Here's the simple truth.
00:20:32.000 You can't love your country only when you win.
00:20:35.000 Okay, first of all, that last line from Joe Biden is hysterically ridiculous.
00:20:39.000 Democrats buy polling data like their country when they win.
00:20:43.000 That is just a fact.
00:20:44.000 The polling data demonstrate that a much larger percentage of Democrats than Republicans change their opinion on the very nature of America based on who wins the presidency.
00:20:54.000 Republicans have a pretty even-handed view of America being good.
00:20:59.000 Two-thirds, three-quarters of Republicans are always saying that America's the greatest country in the world.
00:21:04.000 And then, for Democrats, it bounces.
00:21:06.000 If Barack Obama's president, then it's like 55%.
00:21:08.000 And if Donald Trump is president, it's like 35%.
00:21:11.000 We'll get to more on this in just one second.
00:21:13.000 First, the NBA season is already well underway.

00:22:04.000 In any case, what he is doing here is so disgusting.
00:22:09.000 Number one, comparing January 6th to the Russian invasion of Ukraine is pretty insulting to Ukrainians because, let's be real, hundreds of thousands of people have been killed and wounded in Ukraine.
00:22:17.000 January 6th, the only person who was killed on January 6th was Ashley Babbitt.
00:22:21.000 It was bad.
00:22:22.000 It was ugly.
00:22:23.000 It was terrible.
00:22:24.000 It was, in fact, a small riot.
00:22:26.000 That is what January 6th was.
00:22:27.000 But Joe Biden has to blow it up into something bigger than that.
00:22:30.000 He has to say that January 6th is emblematic of a threat to democracy akin to Vladimir Putin invading Ukraine and overthrowing the republic.
00:22:37.000 Now, I know a lot of things about January 6th.
00:22:39.000 I hated January 6th.
00:22:40.000 I thought it was terrible.
00:22:40.000 I think that the feelings of people who walked into the Capitol building on January 6th were in fact fostered by fibs that Donald Trump was telling after the election about his belief that the election was stolen.
00:22:51.000 However, there's one thing I 100% know about January 6th.
00:22:54.000 It was not a dagger at the throat of democracy.
00:22:58.000 No one in their right mind thought that democracy in the United States was about to be overthrown on January 6th.
00:23:04.000 We all watched the TV, and we said, that's ugly and that's bad, and people who are committing criminal acts should be arrested.
00:23:10.000 That's what rational people did.
00:23:11.000 Only hysterics looked at that and thought, my God, Donald Trump is going to enshrine himself in the White House with his Praetorian Guard.
00:23:18.000 He's going to overthrow democracy, march himself down in purple robes into the Senate chamber and call for the execution of his political enemies.
00:23:26.000 No one thought that was happening.
00:23:27.000 And if you did, it's because you're a stupid person.
00:23:29.000 That's a stupid idea.
00:23:31.000 Within two hours, the entire place was cleared and the Republican vice president was certifying the election along with the Republican majority leader.
00:23:39.000 It was an absurdity to make this claim, but Joe Biden's re-elect depends on exactly that.
00:23:43.000 It depends on you, the moderate, the independent, some left-leaning Republican.
00:23:48.000 It depends on you believing that the threat is that if Donald Trump becomes president, democracy ends tomorrow in the same way that Vladimir Putin is an autocrat, Donald Trump's an autocrat.
00:23:57.000 That's the argument that Joe Biden was making last night.
00:24:01.000 And he kept saying stuff like, And history is watching.
00:24:03.000 History is watching this.
00:24:04.000 History is an old perv looking through your bathroom window with a pair of binoculars.
00:24:10.000 History, like me.
00:24:14.000 This routine is so tiresome.
00:24:15.000 Okay, so, right off the bat, you get Ukraine, January 6th, and then abortion.
00:24:20.000 So, again, the Orwellian nature of Democrats claiming that the essence of freedom is killing your baby is pretty despicable.
00:24:27.000 The distance the Democratic Party has moved even in my lifetime on abortion is truly amazing.
00:24:31.000 It was Bill Clinton who was saying safe, legal, and rare, which implies that there is, in fact, a moral problem with abortion.
00:24:39.000 Maybe there are other priorities that outweigh it, but, in fact, it's a tragedy and a bad thing.
00:24:44.000 Now, freedom, the ultimate guarantee of freedom is you being able to kill your baby in the womb.
00:24:49.000 So here was Joe Biden attacking the Supreme Court again.
00:24:51.000 This is the guy who one second ago was saying, literally in the same speech, that democracy was under attack.
00:24:55.000 And here he is attacking an independent branch of government that is supposed to be nonpartisan in its application of the law, and who by law are not allowed to fight back against Joe Biden.
00:25:05.000 They're sitting right there and he's ripping into them.
00:25:07.000 He's just gross.
00:25:07.000 It's not hyperbole to suggest history is watching.
00:25:15.000 We're watching.
00:25:16.000 Your children and grandchildren will read about this day and what we do.
00:25:21.000 History is watching another assault on freedom.
00:25:24.000 Like most Americans, I believe Roe v. Wade got it right.
00:25:27.000 Roe v. Wade?
00:25:27.000 What is Roe v. Wade?
00:25:28.000 I thank Vice President Harris for being an incredible leader defending reproductive freedom.
00:25:32.000 My predecessor came to office determined to see Roe v. Wade overturned.
00:25:47.000 Thank you.
00:25:48.000 He's the reason it was overturned, and he brags about it.
00:25:52.000 Look at the chaos that has resulted.
00:25:56.000 Many of you in this chamber and my predecessor are promising to pass a national ban on reproductive freedom.
00:26:02.000 My God, what freedom else would you take away?
00:26:05.000 What freedom else would you take away?
00:26:07.000 What else?
00:26:07.000 what and the freedom and oh my god god if you find this sort of thing attractive i recommend
00:26:17.000 that you watch the entire speech which was like 70 minutes of this
00:26:22.000 Just terrible all the way through.
00:26:23.000 Now again, he's attacking the Supreme Court.
00:26:25.000 They're sitting literally right there.
00:26:26.000 They did not, in fact, suggest that there must be a mandate on pro-life legislation around the country.
00:26:32.000 That's not what Roe vs. Wade does.
00:26:34.000 But he is a liar, and the Democrats pretend he's not a liar.
00:26:36.000 When I say Democrats, I mean the media, because they are the same thing.
00:26:39.000 By the way, Donald Trump's position on a federal abortion ban is no.
00:26:44.000 That should be pointed out also, Donald Trump's position on abortion is significantly more moderate than Joe Biden's.
00:26:48.000 Joe Biden's is, abort until you're 87.
00:26:51.000 Like, Joe Biden's mother still has a few years to decide whether to abort him or not, according to Joe Biden's policy.
00:26:57.000 But, Donald Trump wants, apparently, perhaps, a 16-week federal abortion ban.
00:27:02.000 Which, for those who can't do math, is four months.
00:27:04.000 Which is really, really late-term abortion.
00:27:06.000 That's late.
00:27:08.000 Most of Europe doesn't allow that.
00:27:10.000 But, again, the truth didn't matter.
00:27:12.000 What mattered was the attitude.
00:27:13.000 It also mattered who he was trying to pay off.
00:27:15.000 And again, this entire election cycle is predicated on a complete misconception about the nature of modern American politics.
00:27:21.000 Every Democrat is in love with 2012.
00:27:22.000 Every Democrat thinks they can replicate the Obama coalition, abandoning the middle and simply getting the base out to vote.
00:27:28.000 It's not going to work.
00:27:30.000 There are not enough of them.
00:27:31.000 There are not.
00:27:32.000 It's a point Nate Silver has made.
00:27:33.000 It's a point Nate Cohn has made.
00:27:35.000 It's a point that pretty much every elections analyst has made.
00:27:37.000 There is not enough juice in the Democratic base for that juice to be squeezed into the White House.
00:27:44.000 That is not a thing.
00:27:46.000 Joe Biden should be tacking to it, but he can't.
00:27:48.000 He's so afraid of his own base at this point.
00:27:50.000 We'll get to more on this in just one second.
00:27:51.000 First, you know I've been talking about my Helix mattress for years.
00:27:54.000 I took their magical Helix sleep quiz.

00:29:03.000 Helixsleep.com slash Ben.
00:29:05.000 So, last night for example?
00:29:07.000 He decided to once again call out the head of the UAW.
00:29:11.000 So Joe Biden has overtly sided against American business over and over and over.
00:29:15.000 And one of the ways he has done that is he has sided with the UAW.
00:29:18.000 The UAW, which is dedicated to the proposition that, effectively speaking, American car companies should not be competitive on the world stage.
00:29:26.000 Here was Joe Biden calling out the UAW.
00:29:29.000 By the way, what's amazing about this?
00:29:31.000 This would be the equivalent of the President of the United States being a Republican and the President of the United States calling out the biggest single Republican donor in the country for plaudits.
00:29:44.000 When Joe Biden calls out the unions, he's not doing so because he loves what the unions do.
00:29:48.000 He is doing so because the unions have been paying his freight since he was in the Senate in Delaware when he was 29 years old.
00:29:54.000 Joe Biden has an incredibly cozy and corrupt relationship with American unions.
00:29:58.000 And so here he was basically just saying the quiet part out loud.
00:30:00.000 Here tonight is UAW President Sean Fain, a great friend and a great labor leader.
00:30:07.000 And Don Sampson, a third generation worker, UAW worker at Belvedere.
00:30:14.000 Sean, I was proud to be the first president to stand on the picket line.
00:30:18.000 And today, Don has a good job in her hometown, providing stability for her family and pride and dignity as well.
00:30:26.000 Showing once again, Wall Street didn't build America, they're not bad guys, they didn't build it though.
00:30:31.000 The middle class built the country, and unions built the middle class.
00:30:36.000 First of all, this line is such absolute horsepucky.
00:30:38.000 It's so stupid.
00:30:40.000 Which middle class?
00:30:40.000 You mean the middle class people who then became rich from building the country, and then who didn't build the country, I guess?
00:30:46.000 This notion that the middle class is like a group of people who are just in the middle class their entire life is complete economic ignorance.
00:30:53.000 No single class built the American experiment.
00:30:57.000 A group of people built America, and those people across the course of their lifetime very often moved from poor to middle class to rich, actually.
00:31:06.000 It's just this bizarre notion that there's a basket of people called the middle class is so stupid.
00:31:11.000 My parents have been not rich, and then they've been middle class, and then they've been upper middle class, and now my parents are probably considered fairly well off.
00:31:21.000 But that's over the course of their life.
00:31:22.000 They started off in like a one-bedroom apartment in Boston, sleeping on the floor.
00:31:27.000 And that's most people in America.
00:31:28.000 Most people in America have had an income trajectory.
00:31:31.000 So when he says things like, the rich people didn't build this country, first of all, the rich people in this country got rich by creating businesses that give you products and services you want to buy.
00:31:40.000 It's not like they just stole the money.
00:31:42.000 This zero-sum thinking from Democrats and economics is insanely ridiculous.
00:31:46.000 It's so Facially stupid.
00:31:49.000 But we all have to pretend, I guess, that it's something that makes sense.
00:31:55.000 What about the poor people?
00:31:55.000 They didn't?
00:31:56.000 I guess the poor people didn't, according to Joe Biden.
00:31:59.000 And then Joe Biden starts talking once more, jabbering about economics.
00:32:02.000 My favorite part of his economics talk, I had two kind of signal moments where I thought, this is pretty great.
00:32:07.000 One was when he started talking about the cost of housing.
00:32:09.000 I loved this.
00:32:10.000 He started talking about how inflation was really, really bad.
00:32:14.000 And so to solve inflation, he's going to give you money.
00:32:17.000 Which is the opposite of solving inflation.
00:32:19.000 Inflation is defined as too many dollars following too few goods.
00:32:23.000 That is what creates price inflation.
00:32:25.000 And he's like, I know inflation's bad, I'm gonna solve it by creating more dollars.
00:32:29.000 I know the cost of housing is so important to you.
00:32:37.000 If inflation keeps coming down, mortgage rates will come down as well.
00:32:41.000 And the Fed acknowledges that.
00:32:43.000 But I'm not waiting.
00:32:45.000 I want to provide an annual tax credit that will give Americans $400 a month for the next two years as mortgage rates come down to put toward their mortgages when they buy their first home or trade up for a little more space.
00:32:59.000 Oh, so free money.
00:33:00.000 That'll solve the inflation crisis.
00:33:02.000 Then all of a sudden he started jabbering about how he wanted to fly people to Moscow.
00:33:05.000 I like this part a lot.
00:33:06.000 This is pretty great.
00:33:08.000 I'm going to get in trouble for saying that, but if you want to get in Air Force One with me and fly to Toronto, Berlin, Moscow, I mean, excuse me.
00:33:16.000 Well, even Moscow, probably.
00:33:20.000 And bring your prescription with you, and I promise you I'll get it for you for 40% the cost you're paying now.
00:33:25.000 Same company, same drug, same place.
00:33:28.000 Again, he's going to fly you to Moscow.
00:33:29.000 So now he's doing Tucker Carlson's video about how cheap groceries are in Moscow.
00:33:32.000 That's where we are now with this president.
00:33:36.000 The synapse is really, it's fiery, guys.
00:33:38.000 It's combative.
00:33:40.000 He's more alive than he's ever been.
00:33:43.000 The underlying point that he is making, which is that you can buy medications more cheaply abroad than you can in the United States, that is because those other countries are cheating.
00:33:49.000 It's because they're cheating.
00:33:51.000 And no American president, right or left, has had the balls to say to any of these other countries that you should not be allowed to pay a lower price than we are paying here in the United States.
00:34:02.000 And we will sanction you if you do.
00:34:04.000 The reason they're doing that is because they are collectively bargaining on behalf of nationalized healthcare systems with drug companies in the United States, and those drug companies being underpaid by Canada, then overcharge American citizens to make up for it.
00:34:15.000 The American government should step in, not in order to skew the market at home, which kills all of the research and development, which actually creates the drugs in the first place, but by forcing foreign countries to pay their fair share, the same way that Donald Trump has forced foreign countries to pay their fair share with regard to NATO.
00:34:29.000 In just one second, we'll get to more from Joe Biden's absolutely asinine State of the Union address.
00:34:33.000 And it wasn't just stupid in terms of content.
00:34:36.000 It was aesthetically foolish.
00:34:39.000 His over-the-top demeanor, his yelling, his screaming, his slurring of words.
00:34:44.000 If you felt quieted by that speech, let me just recommend that you see a doctor on your own because clearly the president needs to see one.
00:34:53.000 We'll get to more in just one second.
00:34:54.000 First, Jeremy's Razors is doing the unthinkable.

00:35:05.000 Lower price.
00:35:06.000 Smooth 6, Precision 5?
00:35:07.000 You guessed it.
00:35:08.000 Lower price.
00:35:09.000 Take advantage of Jeremy's March of Man-ness now.
00:35:12.000 It's like March Madness, but it's the March of Man-ness.

00:35:19.000 First, does it make sense that a single company controls 90% of all internet searches, runs your email service, and gets to track everything you do on your smartphone?
00:35:26.000 Big tech is more powerful than most countries, and they profit by exploiting your personal data.
00:35:30.000 It's time to put a layer of protection between you and your online activity, and the people who exploit that online activity.
00:35:37.000 That's why I use ExpressVPN.
00:35:39.000 Think about how much of your life is on the internet.
00:35:41.000 Sadly, every site you visit, video you watch, or message you send gets tracked and datamined.
00:35:45.000 But when you run ExpressVPN on your device, their software hides your IP address.
00:35:50.000 This is something Big Tech can use to personally identify you.
00:35:52.000 So, ExpressVPN makes your activity harder to trace and sell to advertisers.
00:35:56.000 ExpressVPN also encrypts 100% of your internet data to keep you safe from hackers and eavesdroppers on your network.
00:36:02.000 ExpressVPN does all of that without slowing your connection.
00:36:04.000 What I like most about ExpressVPN, it's really easy to use.
00:36:07.000 Download that app on your computer or phone, tap one button, you are now protected.
00:36:11.000 So, stop handing over your personal data to the big tech monopoly that mines your activity and sells your information.
00:36:15.000 Protect yourself with the VPN I trust to keep me safe online.

00:36:28.000 So Joe Biden's speech was interminable.
00:36:30.000 We're only going to hit a few of the highlights in terms of policy because they're incredibly stupid and because he does that part every year.
00:36:35.000 I really kind of want to focus more on the overall impression that I think people are going to get from the speech, but it's difficult for me to just skip over the lies that he tells.
00:36:43.000 So, for example, clip 13, he starts talking about billionaires in the United States.
00:36:46.000 According to Joe Biden, billionaires don't pay taxes.
00:36:49.000 This is ridiculous.
00:36:51.000 It is ridiculous.
00:36:52.000 I have made in this country some money, more money, a lot of money, a super lot of money.
00:36:57.000 And let me tell you that each step along the way I have paid more taxes.
00:37:01.000 I pay more taxes now than I have ever paid in my life.
00:37:04.000 I pay millions of dollars in taxes every single year.
00:37:07.000 The idea that I am not paying my fair share is ridiculous because I've been the guy who paid a much lower share of my income to the federal government.
00:37:16.000 When Joe Biden says stuff like the billionaires aren't paying their fair share, let's be clear, the top quintile in terms of income in this country are paying all net taxes, not some, all.
00:37:28.000 When you include all the government benefits people are getting back, the people at the top of the income spectrum are not just paying most of the taxes, they're paying the vast bevy of taxes.
00:37:35.000 One of the great lies about the American tax system is that it is a non-progressive tax system.
00:37:39.000 It is, in fact, the most progressive tax system in the Western world.
00:37:43.000 If you go to Europe, it's not that they have lower taxes, it's that everybody at the bottom end of the spectrum has higher taxes.
00:37:49.000 The top tax brackets kick in at like 60 grand a year in many places in Europe.
00:37:53.000 In the United States, the more money you earn, you are paying way, way, way more money.
00:37:57.000 So here he is just lying.
00:38:00.000 You know, there are 1,000 billionaires in America.
00:38:04.000 You know what the average federal tax is for those billionaires?
00:38:08.000 No.
00:38:10.000 They're making great sacrifices, 8.2%.
00:38:14.000 That's far less than the vast majority of Americans pay.
00:38:18.000 No billionaire should pay a lower federal tax rate than a teacher, a sanitation worker, or a nurse.
00:38:23.000 They're not.
00:38:25.000 They are not.
00:38:26.000 He is a liar.
00:38:28.000 Minimum tax for billionaires of 25%, just 25%.
00:38:33.000 You know what that would raise?
00:38:34.000 That would raise $500 billion over the next 10 years.
00:38:39.000 He's not proposing a 25% income tax on billionaires because if they're making a billion in income, you're paying a lot more than that in federal income tax.
00:38:47.000 I can promise you that.
00:38:49.000 I know it for a fact.
00:38:50.000 When I was living in California, by the way, and I had the state tax on top of what I made, I was paying more than half of my income to the federal and state government.
00:38:56.000 Just another reason why I left the state of California.
00:38:58.000 When Joe Biden says things like, a minimum tax of 25% for billionaires, he is treating all money that is brought in as the same.
00:39:06.000 He's treating capital gains the same as income.
00:39:10.000 He's also treating wealth the same as income.
00:39:11.000 It makes no sense.
00:39:12.000 I mean, even PolitiFact was like, this makes no sense because it doesn't.
00:39:16.000 Okay, that wasn't the only lie he told.
00:39:17.000 He suggests Republicans want to cut Social Security, which of course is... Listen, I wish Republicans wanted to raise the retirement age or cut Social Security.
00:39:23.000 They don't actually want to do any of those things because they're too afraid of doing it.
00:39:27.000 And then, he started jabbering about potato chips and Snickers.
00:39:32.000 So, remember, this is all before he hits immigration.
00:39:34.000 We got to, you have too few potato chips in your Frito-Lays.
00:39:38.000 And also, remember Snickers?
00:39:40.000 They'll make you angry.
00:39:43.000 You won't want to see me without a Snickers.
00:39:45.000 We got to that before we got to Lake and Riley.
00:39:47.000 Don't worry, we'll get to that in a moment.
00:39:49.000 In fact, the snack companies think you won't notice if they change the size of the bag and put a hell of a lot fewer... Same size bag.
00:39:59.000 Put fewer chips in it.
00:40:00.000 No, I'm not joking.
00:40:03.000 It's called shrink-placing.
00:40:04.000 Pass Bobby Casey's bill and stop this.
00:40:09.000 I really mean it.
00:40:10.000 I really am.
00:40:10.000 You probably all saw that commercial on Snickers bars.
00:40:16.000 You get charged the same amount and you got about, I don't know, 10% fewer Snickers in it.
00:40:25.000 I love the canned laughter.
00:40:27.000 It's like watching an old episode of Three's Company with this guy.
00:40:31.000 Snickers bar... We need to make it illegal for inflation to be happening.
00:40:36.000 If we just say...
00:40:39.000 This is all before he got to the border.
00:40:41.000 All of it.
00:40:42.000 He finally got to the border.
00:40:43.000 And then he suggested he's doing everything that he can on the border.
00:40:47.000 And he yells at Republicans for not passing the quote-unquote bipartisan bill in the Senate for which a majority of Republicans did not vote.
00:40:53.000 A few Republicans voted in favor of it because it was lumped in with also a bunch of aid for Ukraine and Israel.
00:40:59.000 And then came what was probably the hottest moment of the night.
00:41:02.000 And that was Marjorie Taylor Greene.
00:41:04.000 She got up and she started yelling at the president.
00:41:05.000 Because the way that this works now, and it's worked this way really since Obama's era, is that there's always some member of Congress who yells at the president, and the president yells back at the member of Congress.
00:41:15.000 This is sort of the way that it goes.
00:41:16.000 And honestly, I'm kind of fine with it.
00:41:17.000 I kind of am.
00:41:18.000 I would rather that American government worked more like British Parliament, where people are just rude to each other and overtly nasty to each other.
00:41:24.000 And we get to see all of it out in the open, as opposed to the kind of false decorum But in any case, she starts yelling at Biden about Lincoln Riley.
00:41:33.000 And he then proceeds to screw this up about three ways from Sunday.
00:41:38.000 I'd be a winner.
00:41:41.000 Not really.
00:41:42.000 I...
00:41:43.000 Lincoln, Lincoln Riley, an innocent young woman who was killed.
00:41:58.000 By an illegal.
00:42:00.000 That's right.
00:42:01.000 But how many of thousands of people being killed by legal?
00:42:05.000 To her parents, I say my heart goes out to having lost children myself.
00:42:10.000 I understand.
00:42:12.000 Okay, he is disgusting.
00:42:15.000 Let me explain all the ways this is disgusting.
00:42:16.000 One, her name is Laken Riley.
00:42:19.000 Not Lincoln Riley.
00:42:20.000 Laken Riley.
00:42:21.000 Can you imagine if Donald Trump did that?
00:42:23.000 If somebody was calling out the name of the victim and he proceeded to just botch the name of the victim.
00:42:26.000 First thing, while by the way looking at a pin that has her name on it.
00:42:31.000 He can't read anymore.
00:42:32.000 This old bat.
00:42:34.000 So he screws that up.
00:42:35.000 Then, he says she was killed by an illegal.
00:42:38.000 And you can almost see Kamala Harris crawl under her seat.
00:42:41.000 Behind him, because that's the thing Democrats don't want you to say.
00:42:44.000 You're not allowed to call.
00:42:45.000 There are no illegal people.
00:42:47.000 They are undocumented.
00:42:49.000 And so this has now opened up a wound on the far left, which demonstrates, by the way, where the Democratic Party are at this point.
00:42:54.000 Democrats are more upset.
00:42:57.000 They have more internal agony over Joe Biden using the term illegal to describe the person who murdered Lake and Riley than screwing up Lake and Riley's name.
00:43:07.000 That shows you where their priorities are, truly.
00:43:09.000 Okay, so that was group number two.
00:43:13.000 So there was the Lincoln-Riley versus Lincoln-Riley.
00:43:15.000 That's like a football coach or something.
00:43:18.000 That's number one.
00:43:19.000 Number two was the illegal.
00:43:21.000 And then he says, how many thousands of people are co-violent?
00:43:26.000 So he starts downplaying illegal immigrant crime.
00:43:30.000 He's downplaying it.
00:43:30.000 He's pretending that it doesn't happen, like at all.
00:43:32.000 Or that if it does happen, it's totally fine.
00:43:35.000 And then he uses this and he swivels off of this to attack Donald Trump as being mean to the immigrants.
00:43:42.000 Again, by the way, him screwing up Lake and Riley's name will be in every Republican ad for the foreseeable future.
00:43:48.000 And it should be because it's gross.
00:43:49.000 It's really gross.
00:43:50.000 Either ignore it, Mr. President, or get her name right.
00:43:54.000 So here he was going after Donald Trump.
00:43:56.000 Again, so much of this, it was just a political attack speech.
00:43:59.000 That's all it was.
00:43:59.000 It had nothing to do with the state of the union.
00:44:00.000 Do you feel more informed about the state of the union today than you did yesterday before having watched this thing?
00:44:05.000 Here he was talking about demonizing immigrants and the nation of immigrants and all the usual shtick.
00:44:11.000 I will not demonize immigrants saying they are poison in the blood of our country.
00:44:17.000 I will not separate families.
00:44:24.000 I will not ban people because of their faith.
00:44:29.000 Unlike my predecessor on my first day in office, I introduced a comprehensive bill to fix our immigration system.
00:44:34.000 Take a look at it.
00:44:35.000 It has all these and more.
00:44:36.000 Securing every other word.
00:44:38.000 Provide a pathway to citizenship for DREAMers.
00:44:40.000 And so much more.
00:44:42.000 But unlike my predecessor...
00:44:45.000 I know who we are as Americans.
00:44:48.000 We're the only nation in the world.
00:44:50.000 The entire media are pretending that this was coherent.
00:44:53.000 It's not coherent.
00:44:55.000 I don't like being gaslit.
00:44:56.000 I really don't.
00:44:57.000 Don't tell me that Marjorie Taylor Greene was dressed well last night.
00:45:01.000 Don't tell me that Troy Nell's shirt was fashion forward.
00:45:04.000 And don't tell me that this old bat is coherent, moderate, and somehow a calming presence on the American public scene.
00:45:13.000 The entire media have combined to piss on our leg and tell us that it is raining about this old man.
00:45:19.000 And it is not going to work.
00:45:19.000 I just don't think it is.
00:45:20.000 I don't think you can watch clips of him and think to yourself, he is with it, he seems in control, because he is not.
00:45:27.000 Joe Biden's litany of randomness went on, and that's every State of the Union's grab bag of silly ideas that are put forward.
00:45:33.000 So he talks about the climate crisis, that he's going to get rid of carbon emissions by 2030 or cut them in half or some such that's never going to happen.
00:45:40.000 And he talks about How he wants to stand with transgender Americans and how we have to stop banning books as though they're widespread book bans in the country.
00:45:47.000 That's not what's happening.
00:45:48.000 What's happening is people are saying in local communities, I don't want genderqueer being available to my third grader at the school library.
00:45:54.000 Not quite the same thing.
00:45:56.000 He suggests that crime is going down because of him rather than in spite of him.
00:46:01.000 I mean, if crime is going down so much, then why is Kathy Hochul deploying 750 National Guard troops to go and guard the subway system?
00:46:07.000 Then he finally gets to the Middle East.
00:46:09.000 And here, the moral relativism and pure cowardice of Joe Biden is on display in pure uncut form.
00:46:16.000 This is a very morally clear conflict.
00:46:18.000 Israel is a democratic state that was just attacked by a monstrous genocidal terrorist group.
00:46:22.000 1,200 of its citizens were murdered.
00:46:23.000 Another 253 were taken hostage.
00:46:26.000 There are still 134 that are being held hostage, including women and old people.
00:46:31.000 They refuse to surrender and they are hiding among civilians and they are killing their own civilians.
00:46:36.000 And Joe Biden's idea here is that there's some sort of moral equivalence.
00:46:40.000 So he first pays some sort of lip service to the Israelis and he talks about how everything was so terrible, what Hamas did.
00:46:50.000 Says here in the chamber tonight, our families whose loved ones are still being held by Hamas.
00:46:53.000 I pledge to all the families who will not rest until we bring their loved ones home.
00:46:55.000 Israel has a right to go after Hamas and Hamas could end the conflict by releasing the hostages and laying down arms and surrendering those responsible for October 7th.
00:47:03.000 That should be the end of it.
00:47:04.000 But is that the end of it?
00:47:05.000 No, because he has to please Dearborn.
00:47:06.000 That Hamas squad that's holding up the dumb signs in the audience and wearing the keffiyehs?
00:47:10.000 He has to please them.
00:47:11.000 And so what that means is then he then spends the next multiple minutes talking about the shortcomings in Israeli aid to the population that Hamas is putting directly in the line of fire.
00:47:21.000 Which is an obligation that I've never heard put on warring countries before.
00:47:24.000 It's weird.
00:47:26.000 Was there talk during World War II about the provision of American aid to civilians on the ground during World War II on the other side?
00:47:33.000 That's a weird thing.
00:47:36.000 Beyond that, Israel actually has been attempting to ship in hundreds of trucks of aid every single day.
00:47:40.000 There is no one to pick them up.
00:47:42.000 No independent drivers will go in there because they are afraid they will be murdered.
00:47:46.000 And they are right to be afraid of that.
00:47:47.000 Hamas hijacks the trucks, which is why the United States and other Arab nations around that region have been airdropping in Food supplies.
00:47:55.000 There's only one problem.
00:47:56.000 Sometimes that doesn't work.
00:47:57.000 Five Palestinians were killed yesterday when one of these big pallets, the parachute didn't work and it dropped right on the heads of Palestinian civilians.
00:48:05.000 The only way this ends is when Hamas surrenders.
00:48:08.000 All American diplomatic pressure should be brought to bear along those lines, not on getting Israel to stop the war, which only prolongs the suffering of Palestinians.
00:48:17.000 The sooner Israel goes in and finishes things off in Rafah and provides some sort of security infrastructure, The faster you're going to get people back into their homes, for example.
00:48:26.000 But that's not Joe Biden.
00:48:27.000 Joe Biden, he was caught on a hot mic literally last night.
00:48:30.000 Saying that he's going to tell Bibi he has to have a come-to-Jesus meeting with Bibi.
00:48:33.000 And put aside the sort of insulting connotation of having a come-to-Jesus meeting with the leader of the world's only Jewish state, I really doubt that Joe Biden would use that language with regard to Hamas.
00:48:42.000 I told them come to Jesus.
00:48:43.000 Yeah, sure, I'm sure that was going to go like amazing.
00:48:45.000 He's too busy kissing their ass for Ramadan.
00:48:47.000 But when he decides to spend multiple paragraphs talking about what he's going to do about the Gaza Strip, and then he uses Hamas statistics.
00:48:57.000 Hamas is the source for the idea that there are 30,000 people who have died in the Gaza Strip.
00:49:02.000 And then he keeps upgrading the number of civilians who have died, even though, again, these are all Hamas Ministry of Health numbers, the propaganda ministry.
00:49:11.000 Here he was yesterday.
00:49:13.000 Israel has an added burden because Hamas hides and operates among a civilian population like cowards, under hospitals, daycare centers, and all the like.
00:49:24.000 Israel also has a fundamental responsibility, though, to protect innocent civilians in Gaza.
00:49:29.000 This war has taken a greater toll on innocent civilians than all
00:49:45.000 previous wars in Gaza combined.
00:49:48.000 More than 30,000 Palestinians have been killed.
00:49:51.000 Most of whom are not Hamas.
00:49:54.000 Thousands and thousands of innocents, women and children, girls and boys, also orphaned.
00:49:59.000 Nearly two million more Palestinians under bombardment or displacement.
00:50:04.000 Homes destroyed, neighbors in rubble, cities in ruin.
00:50:08.000 Phantoms without food, water, medicine.
00:50:10.000 It's heartbreaking.
00:50:11.000 Okay, he spent legitimately 10 seconds on the 1,200 people murdered by Hamas, and he spent paragraphs on the humanitarian problem inside Gaza that could be solved tomorrow if Hamas would surrender.
00:50:22.000 But that's not where he's putting his pressure.
00:50:24.000 He's putting his pressure on America's ally in the region.
00:50:26.000 You wonder why America's allies are getting a little skittish these days?
00:50:29.000 That would be the reason.
00:50:30.000 How many more allies can Joe Biden stab in the back while he's president of the United States?
00:50:33.000 He already left our Afghan allies to get murdered by the Taliban.
00:50:36.000 And he sort of put his toe in the water on Ukraine, but slow-walked it, so people have gotten killed in Ukraine, after having basically incentivized Putin to do so by saying that if he just sort of slid in a little bit into Ukraine, it would be totally fine.
00:50:49.000 And now he's in the process of basically cudgeling Israel into stopping its war on an active, honest-to-God terror group.
00:50:57.000 Then he decided that he was going to drop the biggest insane idea of the day.
00:51:01.000 I don't know who came up with this moronic idea.
00:51:03.000 But here is the dumb idea of the day from Joe Biden.
00:51:05.000 This is truly one of the stupidest things I have ever heard.
00:51:09.000 The United States is the leading international effort to get more humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
00:51:13.000 Tonight, I'm directing the U.S.
00:51:15.000 military to lead an emergency mission to establish a temporary pier in the Mediterranean on the coast of Gaza that can receive large shipments carrying food, water, medicine, and temporary shelters.
00:51:28.000 No U.S.
00:51:29.000 boots will be on the ground.
00:51:31.000 A temporary pier will enable a massive increase in the amount of humanitarian assistance getting into Gaza every day.
00:51:39.000 Okay, so that's a crazy stupid idea.
00:51:42.000 That is dumb.
00:51:43.000 That's incredibly dumb.
00:51:44.000 As an American, I don't want American boots on the ground in Gaza or frankly anywhere near Gaza.
00:51:50.000 That's a pretty stupid idea.
00:51:51.000 Hamas is still quite active in that area.
00:51:53.000 Contrary to Joe Biden's lies, the Palestinian population is still quite supportive of Hamas and or terrorist activity against Americans and American allies.
00:52:01.000 So, with that said, his idea is that we are going to ship in, what, the Seabees to build some sort of pier on the coast of Gaza, right there on the beach, and then they're going to ship aid in.
00:52:12.000 Now, let's say that that happens.
00:52:14.000 Let's say that that pier is not attacked for some odd reason.
00:52:17.000 Let's say that Hamas decides to leave that alone as opposed to upping the ante by firing on Americans and killing a couple of Americans.
00:52:23.000 Let's say they decide to do that.
00:52:25.000 Let's say it all works out great.
00:52:27.000 And they build their pier, and they put a ferris wheel on it, and there's like a merry-go-round, and some clown walking around with cotton candy, and it's just a wonderful place.
00:52:32.000 It's like Santa Monica.
00:52:33.000 Then, they bring in the aid, and they take it to the pier, and then they have to offload it from the pier into Gaza, where it is promptly hijacked by Hamas.
00:52:41.000 What is his plan for getting the aid into the hands of the people who are not the Hamasniks?
00:52:47.000 Who does he think is going to be standing on the other end of that pier?
00:52:50.000 So he's now putting Americans nose-to-nose with Hamas, which is not something that Israel wants him to do.
00:52:56.000 Israel is telling him to stay away.
00:52:59.000 It's unbelievable.
00:53:00.000 Whose doltish, cloddish notion was this?
00:53:03.000 It's so stupid.
00:53:05.000 It's unbelievably dumb.
00:53:07.000 But what's even more stupid is that this guy thinks that he's going to buy himself votes in Dearborn for this.
00:53:13.000 He's not going to buy himself votes in Dearborn.
00:53:15.000 The people in Dearborn do not care about Palestinian civilians.
00:53:18.000 They don't.
00:53:19.000 If they did, they would have been protesting Hamas for the last 20 years.
00:53:22.000 They don't care about that.
00:53:23.000 They just hate Israel.
00:53:24.000 That's not the same thing.
00:53:26.000 Joe Biden could give every single person living in Gaza right now a Cadillac and the people in Dearborn, Michigan would not care if it also meant that Hamas surrendered and that Israel had to take security control of the area.
00:53:38.000 They don't want the peace and prosperity of the people living in Gaza.
00:53:41.000 They want Israel to disappear.
00:53:43.000 That's what this entire conflict is about.
00:53:46.000 But Joe Biden is too stupid to know that.
00:53:49.000 It's absolutely pathetic.
00:53:51.000 He finishes up with what he called the unity agenda.
00:53:53.000 So after all this polarization, all this nonsense, then he dropped his line for this.
00:53:58.000 He called it the unity agenda.
00:53:59.000 Now I want to point out one thing here.
00:54:01.000 When we play this clip, I want to point out one rather crucial thing here.
00:54:05.000 There's more to pass my unity agenda.
00:54:09.000 Strengthen penalties on fentanyl trafficking.
00:54:12.000 You don't want to do that, huh?
00:54:15.000 Okay, here's what I want to point out here.
00:54:18.000 That litany, the unity agenda, he says that he wants to strengthen penalties on fentanyl trafficking.
00:54:24.000 to protect us from peril.
00:54:26.000 Ban AI voice impersonations and more.
00:54:31.000 Okay, here's what I want to point out here.
00:54:34.000 That litany, the unity agenda, he says that he wants to strengthen penalties on fentanyl
00:54:39.000 trafficking.
00:54:39.000 And then one second later, like two sentences actually, he says, ban AI voice impersonation.
00:54:45.000 I'd just like to examine the relative seriousness of those two problems.
00:54:51.000 So, we do have a new episode of Divided States of Biden that's going to be coming out very, very shortly on the fentanyl crisis.
00:54:57.000 I've talked to multiple moms, multiple moms, of people who have died of fentanyl poisoning.
00:55:02.000 And it is poisoning because many of the people who are dying of fentanyl don't even know that they are ingesting fentanyl.
00:55:09.000 100,000 plus Americans die every year of fentanyl poisoning in this country.
00:55:13.000 100,000 plus.
00:55:15.000 The vast majority of the fentanyl that is crossing America's borders right now is coming via the southern border.
00:55:22.000 The number one thing that Joe Biden could do to stop fentanyl overdose in the United States is to close the southern border.
00:55:29.000 The second biggest thing that he could do is take some sort of harsh action on the government of China to stop shipping massive amounts of precursor material into Mexico.
00:55:38.000 Has he done either of those two things?
00:55:40.000 No.
00:55:40.000 He had a nice tea with Xi Jinping, and Xi Jinping said, oh, don't worry, it'll be fine.
00:55:45.000 We're taking care of it.
00:55:47.000 And Joe Biden's like... And Joe Biden has left the southern border wide open.
00:55:52.000 The other thing that Joe Biden has done, obviously, is he has suggested that people who are in jail for drug crimes have committed nonviolent crimes.
00:55:59.000 And he spent much of his administration downplaying the evils of drug crime.
00:56:04.000 And then he spends one sentence on fentanyl.
00:56:08.000 One.
00:56:09.000 So we got multiple sentences.
00:56:10.000 We got a couple paragraphs, in fact, about how many potato chips you have in your bag.
00:56:16.000 And you got one sentence on fentanyl.
00:56:19.000 One.
00:56:20.000 Because the implications of that sentence would destroy his presidency.
00:56:25.000 This guy's priorities are all screwed up.
00:56:26.000 And again, as I said at the beginning, Joe Biden, if he wanted to reach out to moderates, could do so in one of two ways.
00:56:32.000 He could appear to be a moderate human being, or he could appear to be politically moderate, and he has decided to jettison both of those.
00:56:40.000 He did not appear to be a moderate, well-calibrated human being last night.
00:56:43.000 He looked like he was off his meds, or alternatively, on some meds.
00:56:47.000 And then, in terms of policy, he was way far to the left.
00:56:50.000 Now, there's one additional kind of button on the State of the Union.
00:56:55.000 And that was, you remember at the top, we talked about how there were all these protesters blocking roads and none of them are arrested last night.
00:57:00.000 Because, of course, if you love Hamas, you don't get arrested.
00:57:02.000 That's typically the way that it works.
00:57:03.000 It's sort of like being a BLM rioter.
00:57:06.000 If you riot and burn down a store, it's in the name of racial justice.
00:57:08.000 Probably fine.
00:57:10.000 If you're a January 6th rioter, then we throw you in prison for the rest of your life if you trespass in the Capitol.
00:57:15.000 Well, there was one person arrested last night.
00:57:18.000 That person was a Gold Star father.
00:57:20.000 So, this Gold Star dad was yelling at Joe Biden.
00:57:23.000 Joe Biden was talking about crime.
00:57:25.000 At no point here, by the way, did he mention the aftermath of his disastrous pullout from Afghanistan, which ended with the murder of 13 Americans.
00:57:32.000 I mean, Joe Biden has forgotten about them.
00:57:34.000 He doesn't care about them.
00:57:34.000 He thinks he did a wonderful job in Afghanistan.
00:57:36.000 You know who hasn't forgotten?
00:57:37.000 The dad of one of them.
00:57:39.000 So here is the Gold Star father yelling at Joe Biden.
00:57:43.000 All Americans deserve the freedom to be safe.
00:57:47.000 And America is safer today than when I took office.
00:57:50.000 The year before I took office, murder rates went up 30%.
00:57:55.000 30% they went up.
00:57:59.000 The biggest increase in history.
00:58:03.000 It was then.
00:58:06.000 Through my American rescue plan, which every American... So, what he screamed there, for those who couldn't understand, was, remember Abbey Gate.
00:58:12.000 Abbey Gate is the location in Afghanistan that was located at the airport where 13 U.S.
00:58:17.000 Marines were blown up, including Steve Niqui's son.
00:58:23.000 He's 51.
00:58:23.000 He's the father of a U.S.
00:58:24.000 Marine who was killed during the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.
00:58:28.000 He was then arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for crowding, obstructive, or incommoding In the house gallery.
00:58:37.000 So the way this math works is if you are pro Hamas and you protest and you obstruct traffic, no problem.
00:58:44.000 If your son was killed in service to the United States, then we remove you and we arrest you if you yell at the president for ignoring your son.
00:58:54.000 Those are the priorities.
00:58:55.000 Now, again, the media were going to play this how they were going to play this.
00:59:00.000 The media were, of course, going to treat this as though this was just a sterling oration and peroration from the likes of Demosthenes or Cicero.
00:59:08.000 And that's precisely what they did.
00:59:10.000 So, for example, last night you had Simone Sanders, who used to be the press secretary for Bernie Sanders, and then went to work for Kamala Harris, talking about how Joe Biden just did an extraordinary job.
00:59:21.000 I thought that, you know, he came and he got the job done.
00:59:23.000 I thought it was... I've seen a lot of State of the Union addresses.
00:59:26.000 It had everything.
00:59:27.000 It had inspiration.
00:59:27.000 It had hope.
00:59:28.000 It had a direct, you know, proverbial molly whopping, if you will, to the Supreme Court justices.
00:59:34.000 Molly whopping?
00:59:35.000 Yes, using the words of a former justice while they're sitting on the front row.
00:59:39.000 What you saw tonight was President Joe Biden at his best.
00:59:44.000 He likes being around people.
00:59:45.000 He's a good retail politician.
00:59:46.000 And he understood the stage he was on.
00:59:49.000 He was comfortable.
00:59:50.000 He wanted, he was inviting the heckle?
00:59:55.000 This is the take of the media.
00:59:57.000 Fiery.
00:59:59.000 Just combative.
01:00:00.000 That's the way they're gonna treat this.
01:00:02.000 And of course you had Dr. Melinda Jackson on NBC doing the same thing.
01:00:08.000 People said they really wanted to see him come out of the box strong.
01:00:11.000 Did he?
01:00:13.000 I say yes.
01:00:15.000 I watched the whole speech from beginning to end.
01:00:18.000 That was really the challenge tonight.
01:00:20.000 There have been so many questions raised about his age.
01:00:22.000 He is 81 years old.
01:00:24.000 He is already the oldest president.
01:00:27.000 And, you know, that has really been something that voters have been raising questions about.
01:00:32.000 We see that in the polls.
01:00:34.000 So tonight he really needed to meet those concerns head on, to appear energetic.
01:00:39.000 Thinking on his feet.
01:00:41.000 And I think he did that.
01:00:43.000 He definitely was, you know, forceful in his delivery.
01:00:49.000 He used the first person a lot.
01:00:51.000 I will fight for you.
01:00:53.000 I will do this.
01:00:55.000 And he engaged in quite a bit of back and forth with the Republicans, which he really seems to enjoy.
01:00:59.000 So he was ad-libbing in places, you know, and having some banter.
01:01:05.000 Oh man, what a fun night.
01:01:06.000 What a just a great night.
01:01:07.000 I don't know what show these people are watching.
01:01:10.000 Now, on the other side of the aisle, back to the Republicans.
01:01:12.000 All Republicans have to do is be not totally insane.
01:01:16.000 That's it.
01:01:17.000 Not that hard a job, right?
01:01:18.000 All you have to do is be not totally insane.
01:01:21.000 There were two big responses from the Republicans last night.
01:01:24.000 One came courtesy of Katie Britt.
01:01:27.000 Katie Britt is a senator from Alabama.
01:01:28.000 She's very young.
01:01:30.000 She has young kids.
01:01:31.000 She gave the weirdest response to a State of the Union address probably ever.
01:01:35.000 It was super weird.
01:01:37.000 Stop being weird, people.
01:01:39.000 I like Katie Brett.
01:01:40.000 I think she's a very good senator.
01:01:41.000 I don't know who told her to do this.
01:01:43.000 So, she did her State of the Union response from a kitchen.
01:01:49.000 You know what the joke's gonna be.
01:01:51.000 You know it.
01:01:52.000 Why doesn't anybody know how to play this game?
01:01:56.000 Why?
01:01:57.000 Which Republican consultant was like, you know what'll be a great idea?
01:02:01.000 We'll put the woman in the kitchen and then we'll have her speak from the kitchen in the middle of an election cycle where Joe Biden is saying that Republicans want to put women in the kitchen.
01:02:12.000 Genius move.
01:02:15.000 It starts that way.
01:02:16.000 Then, Katie Britt delivers the speech in the strangest fashion of anyone I have ever seen.
01:02:23.000 It's as though she's doing an audition tape for Gilmore Girls.
01:02:26.000 That's what this felt like.
01:02:27.000 It's super weird.
01:02:29.000 It's not like awful or evil like many other things Joe Biden was saying.
01:02:33.000 It's just weird.
01:02:34.000 How about you just stop being weird, everyone.
01:02:36.000 Can we just be normal for like half a second?
01:02:38.000 Do we have to be weird all the time?
01:02:40.000 Like a little bit of weird is icing on the cake.
01:02:42.000 But when the whole cake is the weird icing, it's just weird.
01:02:45.000 Stop it.
01:02:45.000 Too much weird.
01:02:46.000 So here was Katie Britt last night.
01:02:48.000 And again, it's the it's not even what she's saying.
01:02:50.000 It's how she's saying it.
01:02:52.000 Why?
01:02:53.000 Why?
01:02:54.000 Stop emoting.
01:02:55.000 You're emoting too much.
01:02:56.000 Stop.
01:02:57.000 I need you to stop.
01:02:58.000 I need it to stop.
01:02:59.000 I need it.
01:03:01.000 Like so many families across America, my husband Wesley and I just watched President Biden's State of the Union address from our living room.
01:03:10.000 And what we saw was the performance of a permanent politician who has actually been in office for longer than I've been alive.
01:03:21.000 One thing was quite clear, though.
01:03:24.000 President Biden just doesn't get it.
01:03:27.000 He's out of touch.
01:03:30.000 Under his administration, families are worse off, our communities are less safe, and our country is less secure.
01:03:38.000 Okay, she started off at like a 7 in the weirdness.
01:03:42.000 Like, a little more weird than your typical 5 politician weird.
01:03:45.000 And then it just kept getting weirder.
01:03:47.000 So, here she was on the Southern- Again, everything she's saying is right.
01:03:51.000 I just don't know why we needed the audition tape.
01:03:55.000 Why?
01:03:55.000 Why is it- By the way, this is like the black hole of politics.
01:03:57.000 If you give the State of the Union response address, you're headed for the garbage can.
01:04:02.000 Politically speaking, in the Republican Party.
01:04:03.000 I mean, whether you're Marco Rubio or Bobby Jindal, like, whoever gives this speech is just doomed to failure.
01:04:08.000 In any case, here was Katie- And again, it wasn't even what she was saying.
01:04:11.000 What she was saying was totally fine.
01:04:15.000 Go.
01:04:17.000 Our families are hurting.
01:04:20.000 Our country can do better.
01:04:23.000 And you don't have to look any further than the crisis at our southern border to see it.
01:04:31.000 President Biden inherited the most secure border of all time.
01:04:39.000 But minutes after taking office, he suspended all deportations, he halted construction of the border wall, and he announced a plan to give amnesty to millions.
01:04:54.000 We know that President Biden didn't just create this border crisis.
01:04:59.000 He invited it with 94 executive actions in his first 100 days.
01:05:07.000 So all the commentary, of course, was not about what Katie Britt said.
01:05:10.000 It's about the fact that Katie Britt went to, like, the Lee Strasberg School of Acting or something.
01:05:15.000 So that's not good.
01:05:16.000 That was not as weird as what Donald Trump did.
01:05:17.000 So, President Trump could have just put out a statement.
01:05:20.000 He could have just done a video where he said, Joe Biden is a terrible president.
01:05:24.000 And he's doing a terrible job.
01:05:26.000 Terrible.
01:05:27.000 They say he's good.
01:05:28.000 He's not good.
01:05:28.000 Most people, many people, I'm leading in polls.
01:05:30.000 He's doing bad.
01:05:31.000 He could have just done that.
01:05:33.000 Would have been fine.
01:05:33.000 Would have been normal.
01:05:35.000 Instead, Grandpa found the Snapchat filter.
01:05:39.000 And it got real weird.
01:05:41.000 So he put, it was really funny.
01:05:44.000 I'll admit it's super funny.
01:05:45.000 But again, clown show.
01:05:47.000 It's a giant circus.
01:05:48.000 Everything is a giant circus and I don't know what to make of it.
01:05:51.000 I grew up in an era when people read books and took policies somewhat seriously.
01:05:56.000 And now we are down to old man screams at clouds and uncle Snapchat filter.
01:06:02.000 That's where we are.
01:06:03.000 That's what we've got.
01:06:04.000 America, amazing job.
01:06:06.000 Truly amazing.
01:06:12.000 Okay, so, just to, you know, add on to the weirdness of last night, which was a very weird night, Donald Trump puts out on his Truth Social platform a video using Snapchat filters of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
01:06:28.000 You can play it.
01:06:29.000 It's just, it starts off, I'm gonna just... Buy America.
01:06:32.000 So trade rules.
01:06:35.000 Buy America has been the law since 1933.
01:06:38.000 Also caps and won't even go into effect.
01:06:45.000 I know that people listen to the show if you can't see the snapchat filter what you're seeing is Joe Biden talking but he's they put on top of him like the weirdest creepy face like this weird pasted on grin and these giant googly eyes and turning your head up like you're evil and it's and then it zooms in on Kamala Harris and it kind of looks like normal Kamala Harris a little bit That's what it looks like.
01:07:08.000 The Snapchat filter's too close to reality here.
01:07:12.000 It's too good.
01:07:13.000 Frankly, I'll be honest.
01:07:15.000 I would watch more politics if it were... Then you had a Snapchat filter with them wearing hats and girly braids.
01:07:21.000 And then you had a Pinocchio nose with rings falling on it on Joe Biden.
01:07:27.000 And then a rat head.
01:07:29.000 Is that a rat head or a dog head?
01:07:32.000 I don't even know what that is.
01:07:33.000 It's like a bizarre alien animal head.
01:07:36.000 So Trump actually put that up on his Instagram page.
01:07:43.000 Those are our alternatives, gang.
01:07:46.000 We're the most powerful country in world history, and this is how far we have come.
01:07:50.000 Now, I am going to vote for Uncle Snapchat Filter.
01:07:53.000 I am.
01:07:53.000 I'm going to vote for him above the crazy old coot who pretends he's a moderate, but actually is extraordinarily radical and also hates half of America.
01:08:01.000 But I'm a little perturbed that we decided that we were effectively going to just Okay.
01:08:16.000 So, in just one second, we'll get to a couple of questions from the vaunted Ben Shapiro show mailbag.
