Summary

TikTok has been almost banned in the United States, and a bill has been introduced that would force it to divvy up its Chinese ownership. What's the difference between TikTok in the US and China's version of the app? And why is TikTok so politically polarizing? Alex Blumberg explains why TikTok is actually a viral psyop created by the Chinese government, and how China is trying to destabilize the U.S. social fabric through the means of culture and social division. And why are we so obsessed with the LGBTQ+ agenda on TikTok? And what does that have to do with gender identity? And how can we stop TikTok from spreading its political agenda in the first place? Alex explains the connection between Tik Tok and China s political agenda, and the growing number of people who identify as LGBTQ+ and identify as bisexual, gay, or gender non-binary, and why this matters to China and the rest of the world. And he explains how TikTok might be the perfect tool for China's political agenda and why we should be worried about it. And how it's a useful tool for destabilizing the social fabric of the USA, not only at home, but around the world, and in the long-term, and what China is really trying to achieve through social division and division through the use of social division on social media platforms like TikTok and other social media, and other tools like Tik Tok. TikTok is not only a tool, but a political weapon, and it s a tool that can be used to spread China s agenda, but it s also a tool to create social division, and destabilize our society, and destroy our social unity. and our ability to be more diverse and more diverse and in the 21st century a tool for social change, and more we can be more like China s China s own version of . the Chinese version of democracy more like the Soviet Union? is a tool of social change or less like the French Revolution better than the French revolution but more like The Beatles ? less like The French Revolution? 00:00:00.000 Alrighty, so TikTok has now been almost banned in the United States.
00:00:04.000 I say almost because the House of Representatives has now passed a bill that would effectively force TikTok to divest its Chinese ownership, which makes perfect sense.
00:00:12.000 TikTok is a viral psy-op that was created by the Chinese government.
00:00:17.000 It's incredibly sophisticated.
00:00:19.000 Algorithmically, it is amazing at picking up viral content and then magnifying it, but There are editorial choices made inside that algorithm about which content to magnify.
00:00:27.000 In the United States, the content that gets magnified on TikTok is the most politically polarizing.
00:00:32.000 Huge amounts of the LGBTQ plus minus divided by sign agenda are pushed by TikTok.
00:00:36.000 And you can tell the difference because TikTok in China doesn't do any of those things.
00:00:40.000 And to understand just what the Chinese are doing with TikTok, really, you should pick up a copy of Peter Schweitzer's new book, Blood Money.
00:00:45.000 He talks at length about TikTok and what TikTok is doing.
00:00:49.000 So what they're really attempting to do is dissolve the Social unity of the United States through social division.
00:00:56.000 Social media division.
00:00:57.000 That is the goal with regard to TikTok.
00:00:59.000 That's the thing they are attempting to do.
00:01:00.000 And really, there's nothing new there.
00:01:01.000 This has been a long-time communist strategy.
00:01:04.000 During the Vietnam War, for example, the North Vietnamese understood they didn't have to beat the United States on the battlefield.
00:01:09.000 Far from it.
00:01:09.000 They weren't capable of beating the United States on the battlefield.
00:01:12.000 All they really had to do was keep up the internal pressure in the United States Push their agenda with the peaceniks, and then have the peaceniks undermine the war effort in Congress, thereby essentially handing South Vietnam over to the North Vietnamese.
00:01:25.000 China is figuring the same thing.
00:01:27.000 What they are figuring is that if they wreck whatever social fabric exists in the United States through the means of culture, which is what TikTok is, they create this very highly addictive, highly watchable medium And then they control exactly what people see while gathering data about you.
00:01:42.000 If they can do all of that, then they can undermine the power of the United States, not only at home, but in the world more largely.
00:01:48.000 Well, the House recognizes that, of course.
00:01:50.000 TikTok, first, I should first start with this.
00:01:53.000 TikTok is, in fact, a viral psyop.
00:01:56.000 As evidence of this, I point to a new poll that shows, according to Gallup, almost 30% of Gen Z women now identify as LGBTQ+, most as bisexual.
00:02:07.000 That is not a biological bottleneck that is happening in real time.
00:02:11.000 If the claim now is that one-third of all Gen Z women are either bisexual, homosexual, or gender non-binary, or trans.
00:02:20.000 If that's the claim, that makes no biological sense.
00:02:23.000 It has never made sense of any subpopulation anywhere in world history ever at any time.
00:02:27.000 The only way that could be happening is if people are glued to their iPhones, and they are depressed, and they're upset, and then, because they are depressed and upset, they start blaming it on their own sexual ambiguity, which is something that TikTok is clearly pushing at this point.
00:02:43.000 This makes no sense on any sort of biological evolutionary level.
00:02:48.000 It is also worth noting, by the way, that this huge number of women who are now identifying as bisexual, and bisexuals predominate among people who are identifying as LGBTQ plus minus divided by sign, the reason that you are seeing that huge predominance is because you can claim that you're bisexual while simultaneously not actually acting in sexual ways with a member of the same sex, which is actually what happens with a lot of these girls.
00:03:10.000 In any case, That is just one piece of evidence, but we know that TikTok has created these viral sort of sensations where people act in strange ways.
00:03:20.000 And all of this has been mainlined into American politics.
00:03:24.000 Trans politics was not part of American politics 15-20 years ago.
00:03:27.000 It certainly is now, despite the fact that in more sane places, like apparently Great Britain, where children will no longer be prescribed puberty blockers at gender identity clinics, according to the National Health Service of England, don't worry, in the United States that's still being pushed as a positive good by New York Magazine.
00:03:43.000 And again, that's only happening because you do have outside forces that are really pushing this quite hard.
00:03:49.000 And China knows this, which, once more, is why China's version of TikTok is very different from the American version of TikTok.
00:03:55.000 Well, in early March, Representative Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin and Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi of Illinois, who's a Democrat, they actually introduced the so-called Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act.
00:04:08.000 That bill prevented app store availability or web hosting services in the United States for ByteDance-controlled applications, including TikTok.
00:04:15.000 So what exactly is ByteDance?
00:04:17.000 ByteDance is the parent company of TikTok or the majority holder of TikTok.
00:04:22.000 Mike Gallagher, who full disclosure, I'm very friendly with, he said, this is my message to TikTok.
00:04:27.000 Break up with the Chinese Communist Party or lose access to your American users.
00:04:30.000 America's foremost adversary has no business controlling a dominant media platform in the United States.
00:04:34.000 TikTok's time in the United States is over unless it ends its relationship with CCP-controlled ByteDance.
00:04:41.000 Ranking member Krishnamoorthy, a Democrat, joined Gallagher in saying this.
00:04:46.000 Congressperson says, so long as it is owned by ByteDance and thus required to collaborate with the CCP, TikTok poses critical threats to our national security.
00:04:53.000 Our bipartisan legislation will protect American social media users by driving the divestment of foreign adversary-controlled apps to ensure Americans are protected from the digital surveillance and influence operations of regimes that could weaponize their personal data against them.
00:05:07.000 So again, large-scale bipartisan backing for this ranging from Representative Elise Stefanik to Representative Seth Moulton, who's a Democrat from Massachusetts, One representative said the dangerous link between TikTok and the Chinese Communist Party has never been more apparent.
00:05:23.000 When TikTok's CEO came before the Energy and Commerce Committee last year, he readily admitted that ByteDance employees in China have access to U.S.
00:05:29.000 user data.
00:05:30.000 This alone should serve as a wake-up call.
00:05:33.000 We'll get to more on this in a moment.
00:05:34.000 First, let's be real.
00:05:35.000 French fries are the only good vegetable there is.
00:05:37.000 But, unfortunately, they're not really vegetables the way that you're supposed to think about vegetables.
00:05:41.000 This is why you need Balance of Nature fruits and veggies.
00:05:44.000 It's the most convenient way to get whole food ingredients daily.
00:05:47.000 You know, like the veggies that count.
00:05:48.000 Balance of Nature uses an advanced cold vacuum process that encapsulates fruits and veggies
00:05:53.000 into whole food supplements without sacrificing those natural antioxidants.
00:05:56.000 The capsules are completely void of additives, fillers, extracts, synthetics, pesticides, or added sugar.
00:06:00.000 The only thing in Balance of Nature's fruit and veggie capsules,
00:06:03.000 that'd be the fruits and the veggies.
00:06:04.000 Balance of Nature helps our bodies obtain the necessary nutrients for proper functioning.
00:06:08.000 Replacing deficient nutrients can increase energy levels and provide other health benefits.
00:06:11.000 I've been traveling a lot.
00:06:12.000 Often I get sick when that happens.
00:06:14.000 That hasn't been happening since I've started taking Balance of Nature.
00:06:17.000 Imagine trying to eat 31 different fruits and veggies every day.
00:06:19.000 That sounds horrifying, but with Balance of Nature, there's never been an easier way to ensure you get your daily fruits and veggies.
00:06:24.000 Go to balanceofnature.com, use promo code Shapiro, get 35% off your first set of fruits and veggies, and an additional 10 bucks off every additional set you buy.
00:06:32.000 That's balanceofnature.com, promo code Shapiro.
00:06:34.000 Okay, so, honestly, like a shockingly good thing, Apparently, Congress has now voted overwhelmingly to ban ByteDance from owning TikTok in the United States.
00:06:48.000 The vote was 352 to 65.
00:06:50.000 One member voted present.
00:06:52.000 That act, which was originally pushed, as we say, by Representatives Gallagher and Krishnamoorthy of the House Select Committee on Chinese Communist Party, it took about a week and a half for it to pass.
00:07:04.000 TikTok has been using all of its powers in an attempt to push people not to vote in favor of forcing ByteDance's divestment.
00:07:12.000 That doesn't mean TikTok dies.
00:07:14.000 It means that ByteDance is going to have to sell its share to an American company, which would make TikTok significantly less of a threat to national security.
00:07:23.000 certainly wouldn't be any more of a threat to national security than other American-owned
00:07:26.000 social media companies. And we can have a whole conversation about the threat to America's
00:07:30.000 elections and national security that such companies pose in the United States, but it
00:07:33.000 is way worse when the Chinese Communist Party is controlling one. And again, there's wide
00:07:37.000 bipartisan consensus on this. So, for example, Senator Ted Cruz says the TikTok is a CCP front,
00:07:43.000 which of course it is.
00:07:44.000 Would you be a yes on the bill as it currently stands, Senator? Well, it depends.
00:07:53.000 It depends what the bill specifically says.
00:07:55.000 I will say this.
00:07:56.000 I'm glad the House is acting.
00:07:58.000 I am deeply concerned about TikTok.
00:08:00.000 I've been very vocal about my concerns in TikTok.
00:08:03.000 We had the CEO of TikTok testify before the Judiciary Committee just a few weeks ago, and I vigorously questioned him.
00:08:09.000 Really, on two fronts, I'm concerned about TikTok.
00:08:12.000 Number one, I'm concerned about Chinese surveillance and espionage.
00:08:17.000 TikTok is controlled by the Chinese Communist government.
00:08:20.000 It has 170 million users in the United States, and it gives the Chinese government the ability to monitor, number one, what they're saying, number two, their physical location using GPS, number three, potentially what they're searching for and what they're doing with their phone.
00:08:35.000 It's a second set of concerns.
00:08:37.000 is the propaganda that the Chinese government pushes on TikTok and pushes in particular at kids.
00:08:43.000 And I think it is deeply, deeply harmful.
00:08:47.000 So, he's right about all of that, obviously.
00:08:49.000 Even Nancy Pelosi on the other side says that she's in favor of banning Chinese ownership of TikTok.
00:08:55.000 Here she was, but she does it in the weirdest possible way because, again, Congress is a refuge for the low IQ.
00:09:00.000 Here's Nancy Pelosi.
00:09:02.000 First of all, this is not a ban on TikTok.
00:09:06.000 I'm a grandmother of teenagers.
00:09:07.000 I understand the entertainment value, the educational value, the communication value, the business value for some business on this.
00:09:15.000 This is not an attempt to ban TikTok.
00:09:18.000 It's an attempt to make TikTok better.
00:09:20.000 Tic-tac-toe.
00:09:22.000 A winner.
00:09:24.000 What?
00:09:25.000 Tic-tac-toe?
00:09:27.000 A winner?
00:09:29.000 Oh!
00:09:30.000 Oh, I changed my mind on retirement.
00:09:32.000 Everybody needs to retire at 65, including our congresspeople and presidents.
00:09:36.000 That's what we actually need right now.
00:09:38.000 Now, there were some people who were a no on this, and it was a weird horseshoe of people who said no about this.
00:09:44.000 So you had some members of the libertarian right, people like Rand Paul, who just don't like legislation on virtually anything.
00:09:49.000 At least Rand Paul has the virtue of consistency.
00:09:51.000 Here was Senator Paul from Kentucky.
00:09:55.000 You say no ban.
00:09:56.000 Why are you opposed to this?
00:09:58.000 Well, there's this little thing called the Bill of Rights, which is an impediment.
00:10:03.000 180 million Americans use TikTok to express themselves.
00:10:06.000 You're going to tell them they're not allowed to do that anymore?
00:10:09.000 You're going to take the company away, destroy the value of the company?
00:10:12.000 There's also the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution says you can't take someone's property without due process.
00:10:18.000 So 60% of TikTok is owned by international investors.
00:10:22.000 You're just going to take their investment?
00:10:24.000 What happens to their investment if it gets to the deadline and they haven't made a sale?
00:10:29.000 The day after the deadline, all the value of their company is gone.
00:10:33.000 If you don't like what they do on TikTok or Facebook or Google, don't use them.
00:10:38.000 All of these information, all of these internet companies take up information.
00:10:43.000 And so I think if you destroy TikTok, you may well make its competitors bigger.
00:10:49.000 Okay, so the question here, on a First Amendment level, is there are places like the ACLU that are arguing that this violates the First Amendment, the attempt to divest TikTok of its Chinese ownership.
00:10:59.000 The claim being that what you post on TikTok is free speech, therefore that speech is protected, therefore TikTok can't be collaterally attacked.
00:11:05.000 That's a bit of a weird argument.
00:11:07.000 The other argument is, of course, that the That the property rights that are inherent in TikTok, which is what Senator Paul is talking about right there, are not owned all by people who are a national security risk, and therefore you can't divest them of their property without due process of law.
00:11:23.000 That'd be a Fifth Amendment claim.
00:11:24.000 That is what he's talking about there.
00:11:26.000 On the other hand, the claim is going to be that this is a national security risk because it's the Chinese Communist Party that basically runs the place.
00:11:32.000 And I come down, obviously, on the second side of that.
00:11:34.000 That, at least, is a principled argument.
00:11:35.000 Then you have the unprincipled argument.
00:11:37.000 So you have the argument of Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, who basically is opposing the TikTok ban because she likes being on TikTok.
00:11:43.000 Because she's the TikTok Congresswoman.
00:11:46.000 So she says, quote, Yeah, that's right.
00:11:47.000 No, on the TikTok forced sale bill.
00:11:49.000 This bill was incredibly rushed from committee to vote in four days with little explanation.
00:11:52.000 Yeah, that's right.
00:11:53.000 AOC is sitting around reading these bills.
00:11:55.000 I am sure that's happening.
00:11:57.000 I'm sure that every bill she has voted on, she has read in detail and can cite these specific provisions of.
00:12:02.000 She says that there are serious antitrust and privacy questions here and any national security concerns should be let out to the public prior to a vote.
00:12:08.000 I'm pretty sure we know about the national security concerns.
00:12:11.000 Maybe it's that you like TikTok because you're popular on TikTok and also you're kind of soft on China.
00:12:16.000 We'll get some more on this in just one moment.
00:12:17.000 First, Grand Canyon University.
00:12:19.000 It's a private Christian university in beautiful Phoenix, Arizona.
00:12:22.000 GCU believes our Creator has endowed us with certain unalienable rights—life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness.
00:12:27.000 They believe in equal opportunities and that the American Dream starts with purpose.
00:12:31.000 GCU will equip you to serve others in ways that promote your flourishing, creating a ripple effect of transformation for generations to come.
00:12:37.000 Whether you're pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree, GCU's online, on-campus, and hybrid learning environments are designed to help you achieve your degree.
00:12:45.000 Find your purpose today at Grand Canyon University.
00:12:47.000 Private.
00:12:48.000 Christian.
00:12:48.000 Affordable.
00:12:49.000 Visit gcu.edu.
00:12:50.000 That's gcu.edu.
00:12:52.000 Speaking of soft on China, Eric Swalwell, the Democratic congressperson from California, also came out against the TikTok ban.
00:12:59.000 I mean, that dude did shtup a Chinese spy, so there's that.
00:13:03.000 Many people look at this as a TikTok potential ban in the United States.
00:13:06.000 How will you vote on this?
00:13:10.000 I don't like bans on speech, John.
00:13:15.000 I don't like the Republican book bans.
00:13:17.000 I don't like the bans on bodies that Republicans have put in place across the country.
00:13:23.000 I want to find ways to better restrict the use of data without taking away a platform Uh, that so many small businesses rely upon and so many young people, you know, use to communicate.
00:13:36.000 And this would do nothing to look at other social media companies and, you know, and their data.
00:13:40.000 So I, I just, I don't like bans on speech, John.
00:13:43.000 So, um, it's gonna be hard to support that one.
00:13:47.000 Uh, I don't believe you.
00:13:48.000 I don't believe you at all.
00:13:50.000 I think that you're just a little soft on China.
00:13:52.000 Maybe a little sweet on China, too.
00:13:54.000 Just a little bit.
00:13:55.000 In any case, this thing now heads to the Senate, where it is likely to pass.
00:14:00.000 There's enough bipartisan support to pass this thing.
00:14:02.000 Joe Biden has already said that he would sign the bill if it passed.
00:14:05.000 White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre acknowledged the White House is providing technical support in the crafting of the legislation.
00:14:11.000 Donald Trump used to be in favor of a ban on TikTok, and then he has flipped in the recent past.
00:14:17.000 Speculation attached to that flip has to do with the fact that there is a Republican billionaire named Jeff Yass, who's a hedge fund manager, who's a big investor in TikTok.
00:14:27.000 His fund has a $33 billion stake in TikTok, and he started spraying money around to a lot of Republicans recently.
00:14:34.000 And so the speculation was that because Yass is a big donor, who has funneled $130 million since 2020 into PACs and right-of-center think tanks like the Club for Growth, that this is what led Donald Trump to change his mind.
00:14:47.000 Apparently, Yass has been calling Congress people and saying that he is pulling funding if they support a TikTok ban.
00:14:52.000 One source described it as bullying to the New York Post.
00:14:55.000 If he's able to persuade an enclave of libertarian Republicans to fight tooth and nail against this, he'll scare off votes, said one Hill source.
00:15:01.000 Whatever the case may be, TikTok is in fact a danger to national security.
00:15:06.000 That is the reality.
00:15:07.000 Again, it's likely to pass in the Senate, Joe Biden is likely to sign it into law, and is a tactical, political mistake for President Trump to oppose the attempt to divest TikTok of its Chinese ownership.
00:15:16.000 Because it allows...
00:15:18.000 Joe Biden, who is unbelievably soft on China, whose son was paid by China, who's been just extraordinarily, indescribably soft on China's production and shipping of fentanyl into Mexico and then into the United States, where it's killed over 100,000 citizens a year.
00:15:33.000 Joe Biden's been unbelievably soft on China.
00:15:35.000 But this allows Joe Biden to outflank Trump on China.
00:15:39.000 So it's a bad political move by Donald Trump.
00:15:42.000 Meanwhile, Joe Biden continues to struggle in the polling data.
00:15:46.000 According to brand new polling, you remember right after Joe Biden's State of the Union address, people like me said it was divisive and awful.
00:15:51.000 And the media told you that it was feisty and wonderful.
00:15:54.000 Well, I was right.
00:15:55.000 It turns out that most people agreed with me, including independents.
00:15:58.000 According to a brand new poll from Harris X and Forbes, The question was, did President Biden do an adequate or inadequate job addressing immigration during the State of the Union Address?
00:16:07.000 And here we're just going to read you the stats from Independents, because Democrats, of course, approve.
00:16:12.000 71% of Independents say inadequate.
00:16:14.000 Do you think that President Biden's State of the Union Address served to unify or further divide the country?
00:16:18.000 Independents, 63% divide, 37% unify.
00:16:23.000 Did President Biden's delivery of the speech raise questions or concerns about his age or not?
00:16:28.000 60% of independents, yes, it raised questions and concerns.
00:16:31.000 40%, no, it did not raise questions and concerns.
00:16:33.000 In other words, State of the Union did not stop the bleed, which is what you would imagine since he gave a crazy old man shouting at clouds State of the Union address.
00:16:41.000 Meanwhile, more and more poll analysts are looking at Joe Biden's lack of support in the Black and Hispanic community and they're pulling the fire alarm.
00:16:49.000 Not just Jamal Bowman.
00:16:50.000 According to Axios, new data shows the Democrats' longtime advantage with Black, Latino, and Asian-American voters has shrunk to its lowest point in more than 60 years, creating a massive vulnerability for President Biden and Congressional Democrats.
00:17:03.000 The big picture is that Latinos, the nation's largest non-white group, still lean Democratic, but they've been shifting Republicans over the last two decades.
00:17:09.000 They are no longer the slam-dunk Democrats they were in 1960.
00:17:13.000 A New York Times-Siena College poll out March 2nd found that Biden led Trump by just 56-44 among non-white Americans.
00:17:20.000 That is a group Biden won by almost 50 points in 2020.
00:17:25.000 So again, these are terrible numbers for Joe Biden.
00:17:28.000 It is a disaster area for him.
00:17:31.000 And yet he keeps doubling down on the idea that the only way to appeal to people who are non-white is to move to the political left, which is crazy because, let's be real about this, on social issues, black voters are more moderate than the typical upper crust white college graduate lady in the suburbs that Joe Biden relies upon.
00:17:48.000 On immigration, Hispanics are way more conservative.
00:17:51.000 Then Joe Biden thinks that they are.
00:17:53.000 And we're about to undergo another massive migration crisis on our southern border due to what is happening in Haiti.
00:17:59.000 So according to the Washington Post, the United States has now sent a specialized Marine unit to help secure the U.S.
00:18:04.000 Embassy in Haiti as the country struggles through a political transition amid rising gang violence, according to authorities.
00:18:10.000 Haiti, the Caribbean community, and the United States are setting up a committee of Haitian leaders to take over for embattled Prime Minister Ariel Henry and lead the beleaguered nation to new elections.
00:18:19.000 Henry is under pressure to resign.
00:18:21.000 Apparently, the person who is currently in charge of Haiti is, I kid you not, a person who calls himself BBQ.
00:18:32.000 Which is always great.
00:18:34.000 When a person who calls himself Barbecue is running your country, probably things are gonna go amazing.
00:18:40.000 I mean, first of all, anybody with a real nickname like that, probably bad.
00:18:46.000 Barbecue, really bad.
00:18:49.000 Now, the guy's actual name, Jimmy Charizier, he insists that his name, Barbecue, comes from his mother's roadside fried chicken.
00:18:56.000 Others insist that the name comes from a reputation for burning people alive.
00:19:01.000 I will let you guess which one that is.
00:19:03.000 It was either his mom's fried chicken, or he burns people alive.
00:19:08.000 Which one do you think BBQ is named after?
00:19:10.000 He's an ex-police officer turned violent warlord.
00:19:14.000 He moved against the government, he cast himself as a revolutionary, and he organized a mass jailbreak of 3,800 prisoners.
00:19:20.000 Well, the Prime Minister Errol Henry, who may or may not have been complicit in the murder of the prior Prime Minister, was out of the country.
00:19:26.000 So things are going amazingly well in Haiti, obviously.
00:19:30.000 Many of the gangs in Haiti are believed to have ties to members of Haiti's elite, according to the Irish Times.
00:19:36.000 Charizier has a gang called G9, which is in a federation of nine gangs.
00:19:41.000 And apparently, it receives half of its income from the prior government, before his death.
00:19:48.000 Haiti has been a failed state for a very long time, at this point.
00:19:52.000 A Haitian migration crisis is in the making here, and everybody knows it.

00:20:53.000 This is why in the state of Florida, we've been preparing for this.
00:20:56.000 According to the New York Post, border agents in Miami have been told to prepare for a wave of migration from Haiti following the takeover of the country by bloodthirsty gangs, including, by the way, cannibals.
00:21:05.000 So things are, like, it's a full-scale zombie hellscape out there.
00:21:09.000 An internal agency email leaked to The Post pointed out it is unlikely Haitians who take to the sea and enter Florida illegally will be repatriated back to their home country given its instability.
00:21:17.000 The message also warned that even one vessel of migrants landing would overwhelm agency capabilities in the area.
00:21:24.000 So, you're going to see a massive number of people who are attempting to cross the water into Florida.
00:21:30.000 You're gonna see a lot of people go to Mexico and try to cross the southern border.
00:21:33.000 Roughly 15,000 people, according to the United Nations, have already been internally displaced in recent days due to the gang takeover of the country.
00:21:41.000 According to the email, with the breakdown of the government in Haiti, repatriating Haitians may not be happening for the foreseeable future.
00:21:47.000 If this is the case, the Coast Guard may not be stopping Haitian sail freighters.
00:21:52.000 If the ships actually reach Florida's shores, it'll be difficult to contain the groups or transport them in timely fashion for processing or to identify fraudulent family claims.
00:22:04.000 So what is Joe Biden doing about the southern border in the wake of all of this?
00:22:08.000 Not much of anything.
00:22:09.000 One Department of Defense official said today that we are already alerted to maritime mass migration from Haiti, so get ready.
00:22:16.000 The number one push factor that drives these Haitians into Broward County, Palm Beach County, where they don't disperse throughout the country.
00:22:23.000 They stay in Southeast Florida.
00:22:25.000 That driving factor is the deterioration of conditions in Haiti.
00:22:28.000 So what are we doing to prepare for that wave and to ensure that these people are
00:22:35.000 not paroled into the United States as the administration has done with people
00:22:39.000 on the southern border but instead are repatriated back at the dock at Port-au-Prince?
00:22:43.000 Congressman, we're doing a number of things to ensure that we're
00:22:51.000 keeping track of the situation and we're prepared.
00:22:54.000 At the moment, we have not yet seen large numbers, what we would characterize as a maritime mass migration, but we are alert to that.
00:23:01.000 Do you anticipate a mass migration, though?
00:23:03.000 We are alert to that possibility.
00:23:05.000 I think you're right that the driving conditions in Haiti could very well press more people.
00:23:12.000 We've recently approved some additional assistance that we can provide to the Coast Guard.
00:23:18.000 I think that that has now fully been approved.
00:23:20.000 We'll be providing notifications if we haven't already.
00:23:23.000 Well, this might call for, you know, the President of the United States to do what many of us have long wanted him to do, which would be to close the southern border.
00:23:31.000 A couple of executive orders would do that.
00:23:33.000 And a couple of weeks ago, there was some talk about Joe Biden doing that because he was getting all sorts of pressure on the immigration front.
00:23:38.000 So naturally, Kareem Jha and Pierre picked today to explain that Joe Biden actually will not be doing any of that.
00:23:43.000 There will be no executive action on the southern border.
00:23:47.000 The President said yesterday that he was hoping executive action on the border would happen by itself, that Congress would legislate it.
00:23:54.000 Can you just confirm for us that this indicates that he's no longer considering executive action on the border?
00:24:01.000 Well, the President has been very clear, and I've been very clear, anytime I've asked about executive actions here, the bottom line, the bottom line is, in order to actually have change, extensive change, real change, comprehensive change, that Senate bill that was negotiated between Republicans and obviously Democrats in the Senate would have been the best way to go.
00:24:23.000 It would have been the toughest, fairest piece of legislation, law, if you will, if it had
00:24:29.000 been moved and the president was able to sign it into law.
00:24:32.000 And that's what's important.
00:24:33.000 The president is trying to make it very clear no executive action would have that effect,
00:24:38.000 the effect that this bipartisan negotiation would have had.
00:24:42.000 So she's really bad at her job.
00:24:44.000 Not as bad as the president is at his job.
00:24:46.000 So in the middle of what is going to be another mass migration wave from Haiti, because again, it's a failed state.
00:24:51.000 Nobody's been able to fix Haiti for decades at this point.
00:24:54.000 Given that fact, again, now would be an excellent time for Joe Biden to actually take control of the border.
00:24:58.000 He's not going to do that.
00:24:59.000 He's just going to **** about how Republicans won't move a bill that he wants them to move.
00:25:04.000 Meanwhile, Mayor Eric Adams, I don't know how many times we can play this stupid game again where liberal mayors talk about how wonderful, how wonderful other places are and how we need more migrants and then the migrants arrive in their cities and like, oh no, what did we do?
00:25:18.000 Reminds me of one of my favorite tweets.
00:25:20.000 I can't believe this leopard is eating my face, says woman who voted for the leopards eating people's faces party.
00:25:26.000 That is where we are right now.
00:25:27.000 Mayor Eric Adams tweeted, quote, So first off, let me say, literally no one calls New York City the Port-au-Prince of America.
00:25:32.000 For good reason.
00:25:33.000 If Haiti were the Port-au-Prince of America, there would be people literally eating other people in the streets.
00:25:37.000 And New York may be bad, but it hasn't reached that level quite yet.
00:25:39.000 we stand with you today and always.
00:26:00.000 Because I've been told by Eric Adams that they can't take any more mass migration.
00:26:04.000 Bad policy has consequences.
00:26:06.000 Joe Biden on the border, it's going to get worse over the course of the next few weeks.
00:26:09.000 Watch for it.
00:26:10.000 Meanwhile, Janet Yellen, our terrible Treasury Secretary, she says the number one priority of this administration is fighting inflation.
00:26:17.000 Well, as always, they're doing a stellar job of it.
00:26:20.000 But if you go back and look at month over month, December, January and February, it showed an increase of inflation.
00:26:25.000 Is inflation coming back?
00:26:27.000 Well, look, inflation is down almost two thirds from the high it reached in 2022.
00:26:34.000 And the trend is clearly a favorable one.
00:26:38.000 I wouldn't look at Expect this to be a smooth path month to month, but the trend is clearly favorable.
00:26:48.000 That said, President Biden's top priority is addressing the issue of high costs that concern so many Americans.
00:27:00.000 Okay, so then why aren't you good at it?
00:27:02.000 Like at some point you might want to get better at it.
00:27:04.000 She also did apologize for saying that inflation was transitory two full years ago and it turned out not to be so transitory actually.
00:27:13.000 In 2021, though, you did say that inflation was transitory.
00:27:15.000 Do you regret saying that now?
00:27:17.000 I regret saying it was transitory.
00:27:20.000 It has come down, but I think transitory means a few weeks or months to most people.
00:27:28.000 And by the way, transitory typically means that you would then get a deflationary cycle that would bring prices back to normal, not that everything would remain 20-25% more expensive than it was.
00:27:37.000 We'll get to more on this in just one second.
00:27:38.000 First, with inflation on the rise, $20 barely gets you anything these days.
00:27:42.000 In most restaurants, you can't get a burger and fries for under that.
00:27:45.000 How about, like, at the gas pump?
00:27:46.000 Well, you might be able to get, like, a quarter of a gallon or something.
00:27:49.000 I mean, like, really, gas is getting very expensive.
00:27:51.000 But, from my cell phone company, PureTalk, you can get unlimited talk, text, plenty of 5G data for just $20 a month.
00:27:57.000 PureTalk gives you the same quality of service as your current cell phone provider, but for half the cost.
00:28:01.000 I want to ensure you heard that.
00:28:02.000 This is top-tier coverage on America's most dependable 5G network for half the cost of other carriers.
00:28:07.000 The average family will save almost a thousand bucks a year, all with no contracts and no activation fees.
00:28:11.000 You can switch to PeerTalk with the phone and phone number you currently use, or you can take advantage of their great deals on the latest iPhones and Androids.
00:28:17.000 Making the switch is incredibly easy.
00:28:19.000 Their US customer service team can help you join PeerTalk in as little as 10 minutes.
00:28:23.000 Choose to spend your hard-earned money with a wireless company that shares your values,
00:28:26.000 supports our military and veterans, a company that creates American jobs and refuses to advertise on
00:28:31.000 fake news networks. Don't spend another day spending ridiculous amounts of money on your
00:28:34.000 phone plan. Go to PeerTalk.com slash Shapiro. Right now, my listeners can get an additional
00:28:38.000 50% off their very first month of coverage. That's PeerTalk.com slash Shapiro.
00:28:43.000 By the way, it is still unclear at this point what the Fed is going to do.
00:28:48.000 Now, it's amazing that the Federal Reserve, despite the fact that inflation remains hot,
00:28:50.000 they keep talking about when they're going to cut rates, which demonstrates once again,
00:28:53.000 is a political entity.
00:28:55.000 They want Joe Biden to be reelected president.
00:28:57.000 They believe the only way to do that is to keep the economy overheated.
00:29:00.000 Because if they increase the interest rates again, for example, just to take down those last vestiges of inflation, they're afraid that the economy will, in fact, avoid the supposed soft landing that it is currently undergoing.
00:29:11.000 And so they're already talking about heating up the economy again, even as inflation remains well over 50% too high.
00:29:18.000 So just well done, Joe Biden, on the economy.
00:29:20.000 Again, everything they touch is turning to political gold, which leaves them with one final argument.
00:29:25.000 One final argument.
00:29:25.000 That, of course, is abortion.
00:29:27.000 The Democrats are betting it all on abortion.
00:29:29.000 They're going to bet that there are enough ladies out there who are afraid that the Republicans are going to ban abortion, they're going to need one, that they will vote Democrat.
00:29:37.000 I think this is unlikely to be true.
00:29:40.000 The reason I think this is unlikely to be true is that, first of all, people in purple states are kind of purplish on abortion.
00:29:46.000 What I mean by that is they don't actually want full-scale abortion up to point of birth.
00:29:51.000 So when Donald Trump makes the argument, as he apparently is going to, that there ought to be something like federal action against abortions past the 16th week, which is really late, Again, for those who are bad at math, that's four months in.
00:30:05.000 That's plenty of time.
00:30:06.000 I mean, as a pro-lifer, I think that all of this should be off the table, but even if you are not pro-life, four months is plenty of time for you to figure out whether or not you want to kill the baby that's growing inside you.
00:30:16.000 If that's Donald Trump's position on the federal law, a plurality of Americans believe that.
00:30:21.000 About 50% of Americans are in favor of a 16-week ban on abortion.
00:30:25.000 And then there's another 20 or so percentage who believe that it should be restricted far earlier.
00:30:31.000 And then only about 24% of people who believe in the full Joe Biden abortion to the point of birth position.
00:30:38.000 Nonetheless, Democrats are going to see if they can run on Roe vs. Wade, and they are calling— You know they're getting desperate when they're calling out the celebs.
00:30:44.000 And they're calling them out early.
00:30:46.000 So remember, Hillary Clinton did this a lot in 2016.
00:30:48.000 Remember the star-studded DNC that featured all of these celebrities singing fight song in what was one of the most obnoxious displays of entertainment-slash-politics of my lifetime?
00:30:58.000 Like, Elizabeth Banks singing fight song alongside Hillary Clinton.
00:31:03.000 It's like, oh no!
00:31:06.000 Well, now we're doing it again.
00:31:07.000 This time, it's Jill Biden.
00:31:09.000 First of all, you can't trust Joe around the ladies, because he might start sniffing hair.
00:31:12.000 So they tried out Jill, who's a doctor, so she knows a lot about abortion.
00:31:16.000 She's a doctor of education.
00:31:18.000 She's not a real doctor.
00:31:20.000 But, in any case, she appeared alongside someone who looks something like Christina Aguilera.
00:31:25.000 Oh wait, I'm being told that is Christina Aguilera.
00:31:28.000 Okay, well, okay, this waxwork of Christina Aguilera standing alongside Dr. Joe Biden, and they are discussing Roe versus Wade and abortion, which is just terrific.
00:31:42.000 It was shocking and devastating.
00:31:44.000 From state to state, abortion bans went into effect, threatening the health and lives of women across the country, while also threatening doctors with prosecution for simply doing their jobs.
00:31:57.000 And now, extremists are even threatening the right to access IVF and contraception for so many families.
00:32:09.000 Secrecy, shame, punishment, danger, even death.
00:32:14.000 Extremists are working harder than ever to drag us back to a past we thought was long over.
00:32:20.000 But we say our reproductive health care decisions should be made by us and our doctors, not politicians.
00:32:28.000 We should have the freedom to make our decisions about our own bodies.
00:32:32.000 I will not let my daughter live in a world where politicians make decisions about her body.
00:32:38.000 I thought she was going to stop that sentence.
00:32:40.000 I will not let my daughter live since she's pro-abortion.
00:32:43.000 Our reproductive rights will be on the ballot in all 50 states together.
00:32:48.000 OK, OK, OK.
00:32:49.000 So this is going to be the shtick.
00:32:50.000 OK, so you're going to trot out Jill Biden, this charmless person, to make the case about abortion standing next to Christina Aguilera, who was last relevant in the entertainment world.
00:33:02.000 What, 10 years ago?
00:33:05.000 That's like the late end of her relevance.
00:33:07.000 She was most relevant in the entertainment world when I was like 15 years old.
00:33:10.000 So it's been a while.
00:33:12.000 In any case, this is what you guys got.
00:33:14.000 You had a crappy president.
00:33:15.000 He was bad at everything.
00:33:16.000 He was leaving the borough wide open.
00:33:17.000 Got inflation.
00:33:18.000 Got complete social decay.
00:33:20.000 But you do have Christina Aguilera standing next to Joe Biden lecturing you about abortion.
00:33:24.000 Meanwhile, you also have Olivia Rodrigo pushing abortion.
00:33:28.000 So she apparently at her concerts has been handing out Plan B. According to PopBase, one of the world's most trusted sites, Olivia Rodrigo's G.U.T.S.
00:33:36.000 World Tour in St.
00:33:37.000 Louis, always a great name for a world tour is G.U.T.S., handed out free Plan B pills to fans who wanted them from the Missouri Abortion Fund.
00:33:46.000 Funding abortion.
00:33:46.000 It's a good idea, right?
00:33:47.000 That's what it says on the on the pills.
00:33:49.000 We can help you find abortion care.
00:33:51.000 And then it's emergency contraceptives in case you decide to, you know, have that fling after the Olivia Rodrigo concert and then get pregnant so that you can make it.
00:33:59.000 She's handing out abortion pills at concerts.
00:34:02.000 Well, this is the world liberals want, I suppose.
00:34:05.000 So, I guess you can vote for that if you do want that.
00:34:07.000 Meanwhile, Donald Trump continues to battle in court.
00:34:10.000 We'll get to that momentarily first.
00:34:12.000 As parents, we care about what our kids watch.

00:35:09.000 To commemorate my short but brilliant career as the world's number one rapper, We just dropped a new shirt over at the Daily Wire store.
00:35:18.000 It's some new drip, my homies.
00:35:20.000 It's my Dr. Dreidel t-shirt.
00:35:22.000 Okay, so shout out, first of all, to Terrible Quality Memes for the Dr. Dreidel meme.
00:35:27.000 That's from that account, and it's awesome.
00:35:29.000 You can buy it right now at dailywire.com slash shop.
00:35:32.000 Okay, meanwhile, Donald Trump is apparently not going to face some charges in Georgia.
00:35:39.000 According to The Hill, a Georgia judge dismissed some of former President Trump's charges in the sweeping election interference case against him due to a lack of detail.
00:35:47.000 Judge Scott McAfee tossed six charges total contained in the indictment, including three counts against Trump.
00:35:52.000 Those charges involve his pressure campaign on Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, including the infamous call in which Trump asked Raffensperger to find enough votes, exactly 11,779, to overturn Joe Biden's victory in the state.
00:36:05.000 The charges dropped all relate to alleged efforts to solicit Georgia officials to violate their oaths of office.
00:36:11.000 So that's weird, because those are sort of the key charges.
00:36:16.000 The judge said the charges contain essential elements of the crime, but they failed to provide enough detail for the defendants to mount their offenses.
00:36:23.000 Under the current charges, McAfee said the defendants could have violated the laws in dozens, if not hundreds, of distinct ways.
00:36:28.000 So, that really takes the wind out of that particular case.
00:36:32.000 They've been putting aside all the Fannie Willis craziness in Georgia.
00:36:35.000 So, there's that.
00:36:36.000 But the media are now, they've decided, they're going to bank it all.
00:36:39.000 They're going to bank it all on the classified documents case in Florida.
00:36:43.000 Now, to be fair, that is in fact the legal case in which Donald Trump is in the most jeopardy.
00:36:47.000 The January 6th case put forward in Washington, D.C.
00:36:50.000 by Jack Smith alleges crimes that really do not apply to the circumstances in January 6th.
00:36:55.000 The Alvin Bragg case in New York City is a complete joke of a case.
00:36:58.000 It's a ridiculous, ridiculous, stupid case in which Alvin Bragg is claiming that somehow Donald Trump violated campaign finance law federally for which he was not charged, but that somehow amounts to some sort of bootstrapped state crime that Alvin Bragg is going to hit him with.
00:37:12.000 It's ridiculous.
00:37:13.000 The Georgia case is a trumped up RICO charge that really doesn't apply.
00:37:16.000 And now even the central elements of that have been tossed out.
00:37:18.000 So that leaves the Florida documents case.
00:37:21.000 And this, of course, is Donald Trump shifting around classified documents and not turning them over to the National Archives after being asked to do so.
00:37:27.000 Now, the problem politically with this is that Joe Biden just got let off the hook for the same thing.
00:37:33.000 Joe Biden took home documents.
00:37:35.000 He hid those documents in his house for decades, actually, going all the way back to his Senate days.
00:37:42.000 When he was faced with that, he turned them over.
00:37:44.000 But that doesn't change the original crime any more than if I murder someone and the police come to me and I admit to the crime.
00:37:51.000 That means that I now get a lesser sentence.
00:37:53.000 That's not the way that that works.
00:37:55.000 Admitting to doing the crime and working with the authorities does not mean that the original crime never happened.
00:38:01.000 If I commit white-collar fraud and then the police come to me and ask to search my papers and I'm like, sure, here are my papers.
00:38:08.000 I still get hit with white-collar fraud.
00:38:09.000 So the fact that Joe Biden did not commit obstruction of justice doesn't change the underlying offense.
00:38:15.000 The slam on Trump is that he both screwed around with the classified documents and then he committed obstruction by By trying to get other witnesses to perjure themselves or pressuring other witnesses or whatever it is, but I think everybody sees the underlying issue is very very similar.
00:38:30.000 So the media have decided they are now going to try out Trump employee number five, a person named Brian Butler.
00:38:37.000 This is a longtime Mar-a-Lago employee who's a central witness in the investigation into Trump's handling of classified documents.
00:38:42.000 He gave an interview to CNN in which he said he does not believe the criminal case against Trump is a witch hunt.
00:38:47.000 He gave testimony to federal investigators that informed crucial portions of the criminal obstruction charges against Trump and his two co-defendants, Walt Nauda and Carlos de Oliveira, a property manager at Mar-a-Lago, who was very close friends with Butler until Butler apparently flipped.
00:39:01.000 Here is Brian Butler.
00:39:03.000 Given how other people who have been in Trump's orbit and left and told the truth, and how they've been treated, did it ever make you hesitate to... No, look, I was always going to tell the truth, but you know...
00:39:19.000 After one of the interviews with the investigators on this case, I think it got real when at the end of it, it was either my second or third, fourth time talking to them, where they said at the end of it, oh, by the way, all of your grand jury testimony and witness testimony has been turned over to the Trump defense.
00:39:39.000 At that point, you're like, oh boy.
00:39:43.000 Did it make you nervous?
00:39:44.000 Yeah, a little bit.
00:39:45.000 But, you know, I don't want to live in fear.
00:39:47.000 I mean, we're only here for a finite time.
00:39:52.000 To me, I refuse to live in fear like that.
00:39:55.000 I mean, yes, cautious, but, you know, I'm going to tell the truth.
00:40:00.000 OK, so CNN played this as a bombshell.
00:40:02.000 Is this like an actual bombshell that he moved around papers?
00:40:04.000 We all know that Trump moved around papers.
00:40:06.000 On a political level, is this going to hurt Donald Trump in any serious way after what just happened with Joe Biden?
00:40:11.000 I think not.
00:40:13.000 Speaking of legal matters that have now bounced back against Trump's detractors, according to ABC News, former Trump White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, you remember that she testified about what she was told of then-President Trump's actions on January 6th.
00:40:25.000 She told some crazy stories.
00:40:27.000 Remember Cassidy Hutchinson?
00:40:28.000 She was an aide and she came out and she said that Donald Trump had tried to reach across the back seat of the Beast, which is the presidential limousine, and grab the wheel and steer it toward the riot that was happening on January 6th so he could join in or something like that.
00:40:42.000 Well, apparently, Trump's driver that day has now testified, and he contradicts all of this.
00:40:48.000 Among other details, Hutchinson testified she was told Trump was irate on that day and attempted to go meet with supporters at the Capitol.
00:40:54.000 Hutchinson recalled the conversation she had at the White House with Bobby Engel, part of Trump's security detail, who was sitting in the chair looking discombobulated, and Tony Ornato.
00:41:03.000 Well, there's only one problem.
00:41:04.000 An 81-page report from the House Administration Committee's Subcommittee on Oversight called Hutchinson's account into question.
00:41:11.000 The new report cites testimony that was given by four other Trump White House employees
00:41:14.000 to the previous January 6th committee and the account of Trump's Secret Service driver.
00:41:19.000 According to the report, none of the White House employees corroborated Hutchinson's sensational story
00:41:23.000 about Trump lunging forward of the steering wheel.
00:41:27.000 So, oops.
00:41:29.000 She was hero of the Republic for a day, but that's a great way to become hero of the Republic is to
00:41:32.000 crap on Trump.
00:41:34.000 Again, I think all of this is baked into the cake for Trump.
00:41:36.000 The real question for Trump is what additional bombshells he's going to throw into the middle of the race that have nothing to do with his personal foibles.
00:41:43.000 As I've said, people have been asking me a lot recently, obviously, when I'm, you know, out and about, if I think Trump is going to win.
00:41:48.000 And my answer typically has been, if he can stop from shooting himself in the foot too much, I do think he will win.
00:41:54.000 That is a very, very big if.
00:41:56.000 Okay, meanwhile, Republicans keep being weird and bad at this.
00:42:01.000 And this is not good.
00:42:02.000 Again, does anyone know how to play this game?
00:42:03.000 Like, anyone?
00:42:04.000 You know, it's really funny.
00:42:05.000 I've been getting a lot of flack over the course of the last 48 hours about my comments about Social Security and changes to the retirement age and such.
00:42:11.000 I prefaced all of that by saying it's not my job to run for office.
00:42:14.000 I'm not running for office.
00:42:15.000 I totally understand why candidates on the right side of the aisle kick the can down the road because it is, in fact, a political third rail, as George W. Bush learned to his regret in 2005, 2006.
00:42:27.000 However, that would then assume that our politicians on both sides of the aisle would actually have to be good at the actual politics thing.
00:42:34.000 They are shockingly not.
00:42:36.000 The weirdest story of the day comes courtesy of Governor Kristi Noem, widely perceived to be one of the candidates for the vice presidency under a Donald Trump nomination.
00:42:46.000 She tweeted out a video about a local dental group.
00:42:50.000 Now, you have to assume that there was some sort of in-kind contribution that was made, like somebody's braces got done or something, but this is super weird.
00:42:57.000 Sitting governors should not do dental commercials.
00:43:00.000 I know it's a weird rule, but I didn't have to use the rule until now, because nobody did this.
00:43:04.000 It's strange.
00:43:06.000 Well hi, I'm Christine Noem.
00:43:08.000 I'm the governor of South Dakota and had the opportunity to come to Smile, Texas to fix my teeth which has been absolutely amazing for years.
00:43:17.000 I have needed to have an adjustment to my teeth from a biking accident and they have been What's happening right now?
00:43:23.000 I'm doing right now.
00:43:24.000 Years ago I was out bike riding with all of my kids when they were little and had a biking
00:43:29.000 accident and knocked out all of my front teeth.
00:43:32.000 And so several years ago I did a consultation here at Smile Texas and did it by Zoom.
00:43:37.000 I mean, I'm sure it's a great dentist and all but it's weird.
00:43:40.000 And recently, got the chance to work with Dr. Davis.
00:43:43.000 Dr. Dooley's always been fantastic to me too.
00:43:45.000 What's happening and why?
00:43:47.000 Was remarkable and finally gave me a smile.
00:43:49.000 Okay, that's enough.
00:43:51.000 Republicans, stop being weird!
00:43:55.000 Stop it!
00:43:56.000 Just stop being big weirdos all the time.
00:43:58.000 For like five seconds, please!
00:44:00.000 I beg you, as someone who wishes for conservative policy to occasionally win a victory, please stop being so damned weird.
00:44:11.000 Please stop.
00:44:13.000 Again, I sort of have sympathy for... Ken Buck is getting a lot of crap today.
00:44:16.000 Ken Buck is the congressman from Colorado.
00:44:18.000 I disagree with Ken Buck on a lot of things.
00:44:20.000 But Ken Buck has decided that he's going to drop out of Congress.
00:44:23.000 He put out a statement.
00:44:24.000 He said, today I'm announcing I will depart Congress at the end of next week.
00:44:26.000 I look forward to staying involved in our political process.
00:44:29.000 Buck leaves the Republicans with just a five-seat majority.
00:44:32.000 It was already a super slim majority.
00:44:34.000 Here was Buck's comment on why he was leaving.
00:44:36.000 Congressman Buck, talk to me about a bit what has frustrated you so much
00:44:41.000 about this era of politics in this and particularly Congress.
00:44:45.000 What's made it so difficult?
00:44:46.000 You really need me to say that.
00:44:48.000 You need me to explain what's so difficult about this place.
00:44:51.000 I was, as you see, the number three in the seniority on that committee, and I asked questions last.
00:44:57.000 And you need me to explain what is so complicated about that, or how we try to impeach somebody I mean, just on a human level?
00:45:05.000 Do you blame him?
00:45:06.000 I mean, Congress is a clown show.
00:45:06.000 a social media issue as opposed to a constitutional concept.
00:45:11.000 This place just keeps going downhill and I don't need to spend my time here.
00:45:16.000 I mean, just on a human level? Do you blame him?
00:45:20.000 I mean, Congress is a clown show. I don't blame him.
00:45:24.000 I would hope that other Republicans take his place.
00:45:27.000 But on just like a person-to-person level, yeah, Congress is filled with dullards
00:45:31.000 and those dullards are constantly yelling at each other on social media.
00:45:35.000 You know, again, these are the wages of a failed politics in the United States.
00:45:40.000 Alrighty folks, we are not allowed to talk about Dylan Mulvaney, you know, and everything related to Dylan Mulvaney.
00:45:46.000 And that's all I can honestly say here.
