The Ben Shapiro Show - The Covid Misinformation Is Coming From Inside The White House | Ep. 1307

00:00:00.000 The Biden administration seeks new mask and vaccine mandates as they wildly misconstrue the data on the Delta variant surge.

00:00:05.000 And Joe Biden's got a huge inflation problem.

00:00:08.000 This is the Ben Shapiro Show.

00:00:08.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.

00:00:10.000 The Ben Shapiro Show is sponsored by ExpressVPN.

00:00:18.000 Protect your online privacy today at ExpressVPN.com slash Ben.

00:00:22.000 Speaking of which, have you ever read the fine print that appears when you start browsing in incognito mode?

00:00:26.000 It says your activity might actually still be visible to, like, your employer, your school, your ISP.

00:00:30.000 How can they even call it incognito?

00:00:32.000 To really stop people from seeing the site you visit, you need to do what I do and use ExpressVPN.

00:00:37.000 Think about all the times you've used Wi-Fi at a coffee shop, a hotel, even at your parents' house.

00:00:41.000 Without ExpressVPN, every site you visit could be logged by the admin of that network.

00:00:45.000 That is still true even when you are in incognito mode.

00:00:47.000 I mean, do you really want your parents, your friends, your family, your ISP to see what you are doing online?

00:00:52.000 Frankly, it's none of their business.

00:00:53.000 What's more, your home internet provider can also see and record your browsing data.

00:00:57.000 In the US, they are legally allowed to sell that data to advertisers.

00:01:00.000 ExpressVPN, however, is an app that encrypts all of your network data and then reroutes it through a network of secure servers so your private online activity stays just that, private.

00:01:09.000 Your privacy is important to you.

00:01:34.000 Alrighty, so we have a serious case of institutional mistrust that has broken out in this country with regard to the CDC, with regard to the NIH, and that mistrust is well-founded.

00:01:43.000 It is well-placed. 0.96

00:01:44.000 Dr. Rochelle Walensky of the CDC is garbage at her job. 1.00

00:01:47.000 Dr. Anthony Fauci is garbage at his job. 0.99

00:01:49.000 They are just purveying misinformation at this point. 0.98

00:01:51.000 Now, the narrative you have been told is that the misinformation on COVID is coming predominantly from the right.

00:01:56.000 If that were true, then presumably there would be this huge partisan gap, an unending partisan gap between Democrats and Republicans.

00:02:02.000 Now, there is a partisan gap in vaccinations between Democrats and Republicans.

00:02:06.000 However, a huge percentage of the people who are unvaccinated at this point are in fact Democrats.

00:02:11.000 And that includes a disproportionate number of Black and Hispanic citizens who certainly are not watching Tucker Carlson.

00:02:18.000 So why is this happening?

00:02:19.000 The reason this is happening is because the same people who are telling you to get a vaccine are simultaneously telling you the vaccines don't work. 0.99

00:02:25.000 The same people who are telling you that you need to mask up after having a vaccine are simultaneously telling you that you're an idiot for not getting the vaccine in the first place. 1.00

00:02:34.000 And this is ridiculous. 1.00

00:02:35.000 It is. 0.82

00:02:36.000 You don't trust your institutional actors because at this point they're not showing you the data.

00:02:40.000 You know what a good scientist does?

00:02:42.000 Shows you the data.

00:02:43.000 I feel like Cuba Gooding Jr.

00:02:46.000 in Jerry Maguire at this point.

00:02:48.000 Show me the data.

00:02:49.000 That's all.

00:02:50.000 I'm more than happy to take whatever precautions you recommend so long as the precautions are steeped in data and backed by data.

00:02:57.000 I'm not going to listen to Dr. Rochelle Walensky because she's the head of the CDC.

00:03:00.000 I'm going to listen to her if she makes a convincing argument.

00:03:02.000 But she is saying things right now that are just not factually true.

00:03:05.000 And the same thing is true of the vaunted and sainted Dr. Anthony Fauci.

00:03:10.000 And yet the media's take, of course, is that it is solely mistrust bred by the right that is causing the vaccine hesitancy in the United States.

00:03:17.000 Here's Chuck Todd of MSNBC making that case yesterday, for example.

00:03:20.000 I fear that the reckoning is here.

00:03:22.000 This is the reckoning.

00:03:24.000 The campaign of mistrust that was waged against those of us in mainstream journalism by what's happened in the right wing for the last decade.

00:03:34.000 Unfortunately, our reckoning is in an ICU way too close to many of our lives.

00:03:41.000 Okay, so first of all, let's just talk once again about the death from COVID stats, okay?

00:03:45.000 Because I think it's important for you to know where we currently stand.

00:03:48.000 Right now, the seven-day rolling average of death in the United States remains at 316, according to the New York Times.

00:03:53.000 Okay, that is up from about a month ago, but it is not up from two months ago, when it was about that.

00:04:00.000 Okay, so we've essentially been pretty flat.

00:04:02.000 In terms of the number of diagnosed cases in the United States, the diagnosed cases in the United States are up pretty wildly.

00:04:07.000 The seven-day rolling average is about 51,000 cases.

00:04:10.000 But are we in crisis mode if we're having 300 deaths today from COVID?

00:04:14.000 First of all, there are plenty of good epidemiologists, including Dr. Scott Gottlieb, who's been former head of the FDA.

00:04:20.000 He's been out there saying that he thinks a couple more weeks and the Delta variant is basically blown through the system and we're kind of done.

00:04:26.000 Hey, but panic has set in in the Biden administration and they're seizing control of the means of production, essentially.

00:04:33.000 So and they're doing so by purveying bad data.

00:04:35.000 So they've now said that you need to mask up your kids, that if you're vaccinated, you still need to mask up, which is which is wild and anti data.

00:04:41.000 And they're doing this on the basis of bad or no data.

00:04:45.000 Okay, the data I'm about to present to you are from the CDC.

00:04:48.000 The data that I'm about to present to you are from actual studies in places like the New England Journal of Medicine.

00:04:53.000 The things that Dr. Walensky is saying right now, and Dr. Fauci is saying right now, are not evidenced.

00:04:59.000 So for example, Rochelle Walensky, she says, you know what?

00:05:02.000 Maybe we, you know, the real reason that we need to mask up the vaccinated, the real reason that we're recommending that vaccinated people mask up, is because vaccinated people could get breakthrough.

00:05:12.000 And she's asked, at what rate?

00:05:14.000 The rate you're about to hear Rochelle Walensky trot out for vaccinated people getting breakthrough cases is off by a magnitude of about, let's see, 500, I believe, is the number.

00:05:26.000 Here she is, just giving a stat that is completely wrong.

00:05:30.000 If you're a vaccinated person, and you're in one of those areas, as you said, a sea of red, a sea of COVID, you have a reasonable high chance, if nobody's wearing a mask, to interact with people who may be infectious.

00:05:45.000 And so for every 20 people, one or two of them could get a breakthrough infection.

00:05:50.000 For every 20 vaccinated people, one or two of them could get a breakthrough infection.

00:05:55.000 They may only get mild disease, but We wanted them to know that they could bring that mild disease home.

00:06:00.000 They could bring it to others.

00:06:01.000 Okay, so she said right there, 1 in 10 or 1 in 20.

00:06:06.000 It's like 10% of people who've been vaccinated will get a breakthrough infection, according to Dr. Rochelle Walensky.

00:06:12.000 A 10%?

00:06:14.000 What is the actual percent of people who are going to get breakthrough infections in the United States thus far?

00:06:18.000 This is according to the Centers for Disease Control.

00:06:20.000 She's the head of it.

00:06:21.000 Okay, this is according to the CDC.

00:06:23.000 I'm quoting her own agency now.

00:06:25.000 Quote, with more than 156 million Americans fully vaccinated nationwide, approximately 153,000 symptomatic breakthrough cases are estimated to have occurred as of last week.

00:06:35.000 That represents 0.098% of those fully vaccinated.

00:06:40.000 Okay, so there's a rather large difference between 10 in 100, 1 in 10 vaccinated people getting COVID symptomatically, and 1 in 10,000.

00:06:52.000 Okay, that is what the stat is right now.

00:06:55.000 Right now, one in a hundred, not one in a thousand, one in 10,000 people in the United States who have been fully vaccinated have gotten some sort of breakthrough infection, symptomatic breakthrough infection.

00:07:05.000 By the way, how many of those people have actually been hospitalized?

00:07:07.000 According to the CDC, about 6,000.

00:07:09.000 About 6,000 people out of 160 million vaccinated.

00:07:13.000 So one in every 25,000 people or so is gonna get a symptomatic breakthrough infection so bad they have to be hospitalized and much lower than that in cases of death.

00:07:21.000 But she's using this in order to argue that you need to mask up.

00:07:25.000 That is COVID misinformation.

00:07:26.000 Is she going to get tossed off of YouTube? 1.00

00:07:28.000 Is she going to get tossed off of Facebook? 0.85

00:07:30.000 She is a vaccine denier.

00:07:32.000 She is anti-vax.

00:07:34.000 She's giving you bad data.

00:07:36.000 She's not even quoting her own agency.

00:07:37.000 You know why they're doing this? 1.00

00:07:38.000 The answer is they think you're an idiot. 1.00

00:07:39.000 That's really why they're doing this. 1.00

00:07:41.000 They think that you're a fool and you can't do risk assessment. 0.92

00:07:43.000 And so, for some reason, they think that it is a good idea to tell you lies about the efficacy of the vaccine in order to get you to take the vaccine, which doesn't even make sense as a tactic. 0.97

00:07:52.000 If you want people to get vaccinated, what you tell them is the truth.

00:07:55.000 The vaccines are unbelievably effective.

00:07:57.000 They are a medical miracle.

00:08:00.000 And if you get it, you're largely protected and you can go back to life.

00:08:02.000 That's how you get people to get vaccinated.

00:08:04.000 You know how you don't get people to get vaccinated?

00:08:07.000 You know, if you get vaccinated, you're going to have to wear a mask the rest of your life.

00:08:09.000 And by the way, your danger factor is still pretty high.

00:08:12.000 Like, what in the world are they doing?

00:08:14.000 Maybe they just feel like if they control your life at every turn because you can't control your own life or do your own risk assessment, they're better off. 0.98

00:08:21.000 But it's dictatorial, totalitarian crap based not in any sense. 0.89

00:08:25.000 I mean, that's just that is anti-evidence, anti-evidence. 0.97

00:08:28.000 On that basis, where Shovelensky says, let's mask the children.

00:08:31.000 Again, children, the evidence that children ought to be masked is really, really skimpy.

00:08:37.000 Hey, children are bad at wearing masks.

00:08:38.000 Children are uncomfortable in masks.

00:08:40.000 Children should not be wearing masks in 95 degree weather outside.

00:08:43.000 You know, he used to know this Dr. Fauci like as of last year.

00:08:46.000 Under 350 kids under the age of 18 have died from COVID this entire time in a subpopulation of 75 million people.

00:08:54.000 And here she is saying you need to mask your kids, presumably to protect the adult who won't get the vaccine while dealing with infectious people.

00:09:01.000 Like, again, that is your choice.

00:09:03.000 You don't want to do that, that's fine.

00:09:04.000 But I'm not going to mask up my three-year-old.

00:09:06.000 I have a seven to five and a one.

00:09:07.000 I'm not going to mask up any of those kids in order to protect you if you don't want to get the vaccine.

00:09:11.000 And by the way, here's the amazing thing.

00:09:12.000 I have not met a single unvaccinated person who is trying to request that I mask my child to protect them.

00:09:20.000 It is only controlling totalitarians like Rochelle Walensky who say that I need to mask up my child so that a 45-year-old who doesn't want to get vaccinated can feel safe.

00:09:31.000 Which, as we'll see, is really just the talk of the teachers unions.

00:09:34.000 Here's Rochelle Walensky saying mask your children. 1.00

00:09:36.000 What we're now seeing with this transmissible Delta variant is, you know, 12 to 17 year olds now, we still have about 30% of those vaccinated.

00:09:46.000 So we haven't seen the vaccination rates in those people.

00:09:49.000 We now have a very high transmission.

00:09:52.000 The majority of people in our schools right now will be unvaccinated just by virtue of the numbers.

00:09:57.000 And we felt that it was really important to lean in and try and have our children back to school in the safest way possible.

00:10:04.000 And that would mean masking.

00:10:05.000 By the way, they're not going to bring the kids back to school.

00:10:07.000 They're just not going to.

00:10:08.000 In fact, Randy Weingarten, I mean, the CDC wrote its school standards at the behest of the American Federation of Teachers run by Randy Weingarten.

00:10:15.000 Here's Randy Weingarten yesterday, who won't commit to reopening the schools.

00:10:19.000 Remember, 40% of all school teachers in New York City, the epicenter of the epidemic, are still not vaccinated.

00:10:25.000 They don't want to go back to school.

00:10:26.000 This is all political.

00:10:27.000 Here's Randy Weingarten saying openly, well, you know, maybe they won't go back to school.

00:10:31.000 Maybe they just won't be school anymore ever again.

00:10:33.000 First of all, fine.

00:10:34.000 You want to do this?

00:10:35.000 I am more than happy to keep my kids in private school and we should be setting up school voucher programs where all the money that we were going to spend at the public school to follow the school should be spent on the kid.

00:10:46.000 Just give the money back to the parents so the parents can send their kids to a parochial school.

00:10:50.000 Here's Randy Weingarten refusing to say whether they're opening this.

00:10:54.000 It's so political and so non-data driven.

00:10:59.000 Kids not being able to get vaccines 12 and under has really thrown this curveball that says that while vaccination is the number one gold standard, that we need to bring back our masks for schools.

00:11:18.000 So the bottom line is, We're going to keep kids safe.

00:11:23.000 We're going to keep our members safe.

00:11:25.000 And we're going to try to open up schools and we're going to try to move through this political battlefield.

00:11:31.000 No, you're not.

00:11:32.000 Your political battlefield is, how do I get my teachers paid without them ever having to go to work again?

00:11:37.000 The teachers are directly opposed in these unions to the interests of the students.

00:11:41.000 Meanwhile, I got Dr. Anthony Fauci, the greatest of all doctors outside of Dr. Joe Biden, saying that you should wear a mask even though you're vaccinated.

00:11:47.000 Remember, two weeks ago, he was saying that if you're vaccinated, you don't need to wear a mask.

00:11:50.000 And two weeks before that, he was saying you should wear a mask if you're vaccinated. 0.92

00:11:53.000 As we will see, he denies that he has ever flip-flopped because he's a liar.

00:11:55.000 Here's Dr. Fauci.

00:11:57.000 The recommendations and the guidelines have been changed to say that if you are vaccinated, even though you are vaccinated, you are in an indoor public setting in an area of the country with a high degree of viral dynamics, namely the red and orange sections on the CDC chart, then you need to wear a mask even though you are vaccinated.

00:12:21.000 Okay, and then he says we're not flip-flopping on this.

00:12:24.000 And because they lie to you.

00:12:26.000 I mean, that's all I can say.

00:12:28.000 He's lying. This is not true.

00:12:29.000 Something has changed and what has changed is the virus.

00:12:34.000 The CDC hasn't changed and the CDC hasn't really flip-flopped at all.

00:12:39.000 What's happened is that when that earlier recommendation was made, we were dealing predominantly with the Alpha variant.

00:12:47.000 However, now we are dealing with the Delta variant, which is really quite a lot more transmissible than the Alpha variant.

00:12:56.000 Okay, so he says that the data have changed, except that the data have not changed.

00:13:01.000 The data have not changed.

00:13:02.000 The main vectors of transmission in society are not the vaccinated.

00:13:07.000 And then Fauci backs this up by saying, well, you know, what we're seeing is that viral loads are really high from the Delta variant.

00:13:13.000 As we will see, there are no data to back this up.

00:13:15.000 He's just saying this stuff.

00:13:17.000 When you go back 60 days of the two months ago, when you look at the level of virus in the nasopharynx of a person who's vaccinated and gets a breakthrough infection, it was considerably less than the level of virus in the nasopharynx of an unvaccinated person.

00:13:35.000 The data were clear.

00:13:37.000 Now that we have a Delta variant, that has changed the entire landscape. 0.85

00:13:42.000 Because when you look at the level of virus in the nasopharynx of a vaccinated person who gets a breakthrough infection with Delta, it is exactly the same as the level of virus in an unvaccinated person who's infected.

00:13:58.000 Okay, but the problem is, he does not make it clear whether the viral load being carried by the vaccinated person is as infectious Okay, it is not merely a question of viral load.

00:14:07.000 It's whether this is infectious viral load.

00:14:10.000 So, people dug into the actual CDC stats here, and here is what they found.

00:14:14.000 They found that the CDC had cited an Indian study to support this idea that the viral load was really high in breakthrough infections from the Delta variant.

00:14:25.000 There's only one problem.

00:14:27.000 The study was done.

00:14:28.000 First of all, it was retracted.

00:14:30.000 The study itself was bad and it was retracted.

00:14:32.000 Second of all, the study itself was done on the basis of a vaccine that is not legal to use in the United States.

00:14:38.000 It was the wrong vaccine and the study was retracted.

00:14:40.000 I mean, this is nuts.

00:14:44.000 According to STAT, which is a news source, quote, an administration official speaking on the condition of anonymity told STAT, health experts do not have studies proving that fully vaccinated people are transmitting the virus.

00:14:56.000 Rather, the official said, the updated guidance is based on studies showing that vaccinated people who contract the Delta variant have similarly high levels of virus in their airways, which suggested they may be infectious to others.

00:15:06.000 With other variants, vaccinated people had substantially lower levels of virus in their noses and throats compared to unvaccinated people.

00:15:12.000 Okay, so they know that there's a higher viral load, but they don't know whether that's infectious viral load.

00:15:17.000 All of which is prompting the Washington Post to ask, where is the data?

00:15:21.000 The Washington Post is asking, where's the data?

00:15:23.000 We'll get to that in just one second.

00:15:25.000 First, let's talk about the fact you don't want to go to the auto parts store today, or pretty much ever.

00:15:29.000 Why?

00:15:29.000 You're gonna stand in line, finally get to the front, answer a bunch of questions, and then they'll be like, you know what?

00:15:33.000 We don't have that in stock, but we can order it for you and we can upcharge you.

00:15:37.000 Or you could just go to the internet and get the part yourself.

00:15:39.000 Go to rockauto.com.

00:15:40.000 Rockauto.com always offers the lowest prices possible, rather than changing prices based on what the market will bear, like airlines do.

00:15:47.000 I spend up to twice as much for the same parts.

00:15:49.000 They're a family business serving auto parts customers online for 20 years.

00:15:52.000 Go to rockauto.com to shop for auto and body parts from hundreds of manufacturers.

00:15:56.000 The catalog is unique and remarkably easy to navigate.

00:15:58.000 Quickly see all the parts available for your vehicle and choose the brands, specifications, and prices you prefer.

00:16:03.000 Go to rockauto.com right now.

00:16:04.000 See all the parts available for your car or truck.

00:16:06.000 Write Shapiro in their how did you hear about us box.

00:16:08.000 So they know that we sent you.

00:16:10.000 Again, no reason to stand in line, get upcharged, have to wait to get the part in the mail anyway, go back to the store.

00:16:15.000 Instead, just get the part you need at the best available price.

00:16:17.000 That's what rockauto.com does.

00:16:19.000 Great American business.

00:16:20.000 Head on over to rockauto.com right now.

00:16:22.000 See all the parts available for your car or truck and write Shapiro in there.

00:16:25.000 How did you hear about us box?

00:16:27.000 So they know that we sent you.

00:16:28.000 Okay, so.

00:16:30.000 Here is what the Washington Post writes.

00:16:31.000 Even the Washington Post is like, guys, this is coming from nowhere.

00:16:35.000 New recommendations from federal health officials this week on when vaccinated Americans should don face masks came with a startling bolt of news.

00:16:42.000 People who have had their shots and become infected with the Delta variant of the coronavirus can harbor large amounts of virus just like unvaccinated people.

00:16:48.000 That means they could become spreaders of the disease and should return to wearing masks indoors in certain situations, including when vulnerable people are present.

00:16:54.000 Okay, so first of all, even if vaccinated people are infectious, That still does not mean that vaccinated people should be wearing the masks at this point.

00:17:03.000 The reason I say this is because it is now your responsibility as an unvaccinated person to take into account the risks in life.

00:17:12.000 When people have the flu, many people stay home.

00:17:15.000 Some people don't.

00:17:15.000 When people have a cold, a lot of people go to work with a cold because you can work through a cold.

00:17:19.000 Do we mandate that everybody mask up at all times?

00:17:23.000 I mean, that's really the limiting principle here.

00:17:25.000 If you could infect somebody with anything, do you have to mask up for the rest of time?

00:17:28.000 Is this the new rule?

00:17:30.000 Because the vaccine is now available to all the adults.

00:17:33.000 If you are vaccinated, let's say that you're vaccinated and let's say you can even pass this thing.

00:17:36.000 But everybody around you has the ability to protect themselves by getting a vaccine.

00:17:40.000 Is it your obligation to wear a mask to prevent somebody who doesn't feel like getting vaccinated from getting vaccinated?

00:17:47.000 Is that how we are going to operate?

00:17:49.000 I mean, serious question, is that how we're going to operate in the United States?

00:17:51.000 But put that aside, is there even evidence to support this notion that the vaccinated are main vectors of transmission, that they get breakthrough infections at a 1 in 10 rate, as Rochelle Walensky falsely says, and that even if they have those breakthrough infections, they're now transmitting the virus at the same rate as the unvaccinated?

00:18:09.000 Here is the Washington Post.

00:18:10.000 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention did not publish the new research.

00:18:14.000 In the text of the updating masking guidance, the agency merely cited, quote, CDC COVID-19 response team unpublished data 2021.

00:18:22.000 Some outside scientists have their own message.

00:18:24.000 Show us the data.

00:18:26.000 Greg Gonsalves, an associate professor at the Yale School of Public Health, who is not a conservative, says, they are making a claim that people with Delta who are vaccinated and unvaccinated have similar levels of viral load.

00:18:36.000 But nobody knows what that means.

00:18:37.000 It's meaningless unless we see the data.

00:18:40.000 According to a federal official knowledgeable about the research but who is not authorized to be a spokesperson for the government, quote, the data will be published imminently.

00:18:47.000 The data were alarming and recently presented, the official said, we saw the data and thought it was urgent enough to act in the context of a steeply rising preventable surge of COVID-19.

00:18:55.000 Because tests showed similar levels of virus in the vaccinated and unvaccinated, the CDC inferred the Delta variant can be transmitted by people with breakthrough infections.

00:19:05.000 Fauci said, I think the implications are that people who are vaccinated, even when they're asymptomatic, can still transmit the virus.

00:19:10.000 But!

00:19:11.000 But!

00:19:12.000 Okay, here's the big but, as MC Hammer might say.

00:19:16.000 Here's the big but.

00:19:18.000 Fauci noted there is not yet clinical data on what the high viral loads mean in terms of disease transmission.

00:19:29.000 Let me read that again, slowly, for those of you who are Listening to Positive America.

00:19:34.000 Fauci noted, there is not yet clinical data on what the high viral loads mean in terms of disease transmission.

00:19:42.000 That means, even if you have a high viral load, we don't have any data on whether that high viral load is being detected and whether that high viral load is actually transmissible.

00:19:54.000 You could still be carrying a high viral load, but it's not particularly transmissible because your body did a good job of killing off the virus.

00:20:01.000 Fauci said you can make a reasonable assumption that vaccinated people can transmit the virus just like unvaccinated people can.

00:20:06.000 Can you make reasonable assumptions?

00:20:07.000 He says, it's just a question.

00:20:08.000 He says, I have a reasonable assumption.

00:20:10.000 That reasonable assumption is that, for example, if you've had COVID-19 and then you get over COVID-19, your body has developed a level of immunity.

00:20:17.000 Fauci won't make that assumption, but he'll make the assumption that if a vaccinated person has a high viral load, it's exactly the same as an unvaccinated person having a high viral load.

00:20:26.000 What's the evidence to back that up?

00:20:27.000 He presents none.

00:20:28.000 It's a reasonable quote-unquote assumption.

00:20:31.000 Three senior administration officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the new research convinced health officials it was time to update the agency's guidance.

00:20:38.000 That's not true.

00:20:39.000 OK, well, what happened here is that you were seeing an uptick in communities and you have health actors who don't trust the American people.

00:20:45.000 And so they say everybody needs to mask up again.

00:20:47.000 This was not driven by new data.

00:20:49.000 This was driven by the pure panic button controlling top down mentality of people in the public health establishment.

00:20:56.000 When scientists compared viral loads in vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals infected with an early variant of the virus, the alpha variant, there were considerable differences in the amount of virus each carried.

00:21:05.000 The CDC did not answer questions Wednesday about whether it relied on outside sources of data or the number of patients examined in its outbreak investigations.

00:21:13.000 Okay, this is one of the questions, because as I mentioned, the CDC seemed to rely on an Indian study that was retracted in their internal paperwork.

00:21:21.000 The medical and scientific community has generally endorsed the change in CDC mask guidance, The questions about viral loads is among many unknowns surrounding SARS-CoV-2, including the frequency of breakthrough infections and whether they play a significant role in the recent rise in cases.

00:21:35.000 Robert Wachter, Chair of the Department of Medicine at University of California, Berkeley, he said, if we're seeing more breakthroughs, is it just because the virus is better and the vaccines don't hold up quite as well?

00:21:43.000 Or is the efficacy of the vaccines beginning to wane independent of Delta?

00:21:47.000 And then Walensky says, the big concern is that the next variant that might emerge just a few mutations away could eventually evade our vaccine.

00:21:53.000 Okay, so there is no end point here.

00:21:55.000 There is no end point here.

00:21:57.000 And I guess that's the idea.

00:21:59.000 You're supposed to listen to them.

00:22:00.000 They don't have to release the data.

00:22:02.000 They don't have to tell you why they're doing what they're doing.

00:22:04.000 They don't have to present evidence that even if there are higher viral loads, that those viral loads are as transmissible as for the unvaccinated.

00:22:11.000 They don't have to do any of that.

00:22:12.000 They can just tell you what to do.

00:22:14.000 And you have to listen. 1.00

00:22:15.000 And then they will label you an idiot. 1.00

00:22:16.000 Label you an idiot if they don't present you with an actual argument on the back of all of this jibber jabber about how everyone is going to die of the Delta variant. 1.00

00:22:24.000 And again, let me remind you, these vaccines, it's amazing. 1.00

00:22:28.000 I'm like the opposite of a quote-unquote vaccine denier.

00:22:30.000 I think these vaccines are incredibly effective.

00:22:32.000 In fact, according to researchsquare.com, they put together a really cool chart showing how much a risk is lowered from COVID-19 after taking the vaccine.

00:22:43.000 Basically, number one, if you are below the age of 30, you are less likely to die of COVID unvaccinated than every other age group in the United States vaccinated.

00:22:56.000 So we should start with that.

00:22:58.000 We're talking about like at a rate of 0.0001.

00:23:01.000 0.0001% of people who are unvaccinated under the age of 30 will die of COVID.

00:23:07.000 Those are very, very low numbers.

00:23:09.000 Nobody stops their life to prevent the chance of a 0.0001% chance of dying.

00:23:14.000 Nobody does that.

00:23:15.000 Okay, but how effective are these vaccines?

00:23:18.000 If you are at the age of 30, then your risk from death of COVID-19 goes from 0.001%, which is one in about Let's see, 1 in 100, 1 in 1,000, 1 in 10,000, 1 in 100,000.

00:23:29.000 About 1 in 100,000, if you are at the age of 30, below the age of 35, it goes from that to 0.0001%.

00:23:31.000 If you're 35, it goes from 0.005% all the way down to close to zero.

00:23:33.000 If you are at the age of 30, like below the age of 35, it goes from that to 0.0001%.

00:23:42.000 If you're 35, it goes from like 0.005% all the way down to close to zero.

00:23:48.000 And now if you go at the higher you go, the more the risk is higher at the baseline and then the more the risk is reduced on a percentage basis.

00:23:56.000 If you're 55, you had a nearly 0.1% chance of death from COVID-19 before vaccination.

00:24:01.000 And now you're down to like a 0.005% chance of death from the vaccine, post vaccine.

00:24:08.000 So that means that your risk factors have dropped by a factor of about 20.

00:24:12.000 The vaccines are incredibly, incredibly effective.

00:24:15.000 But we are now supposed to, we're now told that vaccines are less effective, which is a terrible pitch for people to get the vaccine.

00:24:23.000 Hey, so this has led to a sort of box canyon for a lot of the members of the left.

00:24:28.000 On the one hand, they keep downplaying the efficacy of the vaccine.

00:24:31.000 On the other hand, they want to force you to get the vaccine.

00:24:34.000 Hey, you wouldn't have to force people to get the vaccine if you just made clear how effective the vaccine is.

00:24:39.000 You wouldn't.

00:24:39.000 And if people chose to get unvaccinated and go about their daily business, that would be their choice.

00:24:44.000 Instead, you got this box canyon, as I say, of we are going to not give you any data.

00:24:49.000 The data we give you are going to be wrong half the time.

00:24:52.000 The data are going to be wrong in the direction of saying that the vaccine is less effective rather than more effective.

00:24:57.000 And also, now we have to force you to get the vaccine. 1.00

00:24:59.000 This is where Bill de Blasio comes in, the idiot mayor of New York City. 1.00

00:25:02.000 Here he was explaining that it's time to mandate vaccinations. 1.00

00:25:08.000 We've got to shake people at this point and say, come on now.

00:25:12.000 We tried voluntary.

00:25:14.000 We could not have been more kind and compassionate as a country.

00:25:18.000 Free testing everywhere you turn.

00:25:20.000 Incentives.

00:25:22.000 Friendly, warm embrace.

00:25:24.000 The voluntary phase is over.

00:25:27.000 We can keep doing those things.

00:25:28.000 I'm not saying shut it down.

00:25:29.000 I'm saying voluntary alone doesn't work.

00:25:33.000 It's time for mandates because it's the only way to protect our people.

00:25:38.000 Or you could theoretically just say, number one, if you're vaccinated, you're protected.

00:25:42.000 And number two, you could stop lying about how the vaccinated are the real vectors of transmission.

00:25:47.000 And the vaccinated are like they've split the message.

00:25:49.000 And in splitting the message, they've undermined their own trust.

00:25:52.000 And not only that, they've undermined confidence in the power of the vaccine in the first place.

00:25:56.000 Nancy Pelosi is doing the same thing.

00:25:58.000 She announced a mask mandate in the House again. 1.00

00:25:59.000 Now, here's the thing.

00:26:00.000 I believe every Democrat in the House has had the vaccine at this point.

00:26:04.000 So I'm not sure exactly what she's worried about.

00:26:06.000 But this is about control at this point.

00:26:09.000 When people don't give you the rationale for why they are doing what they are doing, when they won't give you the rationale for why you must follow their rules, that means that they are authoritarian.

00:26:19.000 This is authoritarian nonsense.

00:26:21.000 Here's Nancy Pelosi announcing that everybody in the house is going to mask up again. 0.92

00:26:25.000 Everybody in that, again, the entire Senate, I believe every single Senator in the U.S.

00:26:29.000 Senate is vaccinated at this point.

00:26:31.000 Every Democrat in the House is vaccinated.

00:26:34.000 I believe most of the Republican House members are vaccinated.

00:26:36.000 If they're not, that's their problem.

00:26:39.000 But here's Nancy Pelosi saying that she's going to mandate masks on the House floor again. 0.65

00:26:44.000 Consistent with the newly updated guidance from the Office of the Attending Physician related to the increased threat from the Delta variant of the virus, the Chair wishes to inform all members and staff that masks will once again be required in the Hall of the House.

00:27:01.000 Members are reminded that under House Resolution 38, the Sergeant-at-Arms is authorized and directed to impose a fine against any member acting in violation of this policy.

00:27:13.000 So they're gonna find people now.

00:27:15.000 At this point, it is just about the control.

00:27:17.000 So Kevin McCarthy said, okay, our guys aren't masking.

00:27:20.000 Like, we're not doing that anymore.

00:27:21.000 We're done. 0.98

00:27:22.000 So Nancy Pelosi called him a moron because this is, so much of this right now is about not convincing people. 0.99

00:27:29.000 So much of this is not about getting people vaccinated. 0.97

00:27:32.000 It is not about restoring people's freedoms.

00:27:34.000 It is not about giving people freedom of choice and respecting them as individual human beings.

00:27:37.000 It is about control and othering and treating everybody who thinks differently than you as a bad person.

00:27:42.000 The masks have become a sign that you are a grade-A student.

00:27:46.000 You're the kid who gets the gold star in class, as my friend Jon Podhoretz said on the Commentary Magazine podcast.

00:27:52.000 For people who are wearing the mask at this point, vaccinated particularly, this is just another sign that you adhere to the regime that knows best for you.

00:28:01.000 You listen to the quote-unquote experts.

00:28:03.000 Here's the thing, if the experts don't present you data, they're not much kind of expert.

00:28:07.000 And if they've shifted their position a thousand times based on the same data, they're not super expert, are they? 0.98

00:28:13.000 But here's Nancy Pelosi saying that anyone who won't mask up, including the vaccinated, is some sort of moron. 0.97

00:28:19.000 Mask mandate, Speaker Pelosi, any response to the backlash? 0.99

00:28:22.000 Other response?

00:28:24.000 That's the purview of the Capitol position, the official mandate from him.

00:28:30.000 I have nothing to say about that except we honor it.

00:28:33.000 Leader McCarthy says it's against the science. 1.00

00:28:35.000 He's such a moron. 1.00

00:28:40.000 He's such a moron, says Nancy Pelosi. 1.00

00:28:41.000 McCarthy responded by saying, weird, because you weren't wearing a mask like in the middle of the pandemic when you're getting your hair cut. 1.00

00:28:47.000 Correct.

00:28:48.000 The mask is now the sign of virtue for a lot of people.

00:28:51.000 The mask is the sign of virtue.

00:28:53.000 You're a better person if you wear the mask.

00:28:55.000 The mask is just a tool.

00:28:57.000 The mask is just a tool that you are supposed to use in certain circumstances in order to prevent transmission when there's no vaccine available.

00:29:05.000 You want to encourage people to get the vaccination?

00:29:07.000 Tell people that they are on their own and they get to make free decisions and then they can do risk assessments.

00:29:12.000 You know how many people have come up to me who are unvaccinated in the past couple of weeks thanks to the uptick in Delta and said they are now thinking about getting vaccinated?

00:29:18.000 A lot.

00:29:19.000 You know why?

00:29:20.000 Because they're afraid of getting it.

00:29:21.000 Because that's the way that people assess risk.

00:29:24.000 But they don't want you to assess risk.

00:29:25.000 They don't want you to use individual judgment.

00:29:27.000 They don't want you to make judgment based on science.

00:29:28.000 They want to tell you what to do and not tell you why they are telling you what to do.

00:29:32.000 That's what they want.

00:29:34.000 And that's ugly, and it's un-American.

00:29:36.000 It really is.

00:29:37.000 Present the evidence for why you are recommending what you are recommending, and then I'll take it seriously. 0.99

00:29:40.000 Otherwise, shut the f*** up. 1.00

00:29:43.000 Alrighty, we'll get to more on this in just a second. 0.99

00:29:45.000 We'll get to the bipartisan infrastructure bill in just a second.

00:29:48.000 First, I'm thrilled to announce that my new book, The Authoritarian Moment, is now on sale.

00:29:52.000 It is available everywhere.

00:29:57.000 I couldn't have written this book at a more important time in our country's history.

00:30:00.000 As the left increases their iron grip on our institutions, entertainment, education, even the way we interact with one another, our country is becoming more and more divided, more susceptible to authoritarian control.

00:30:10.000 Our chief example today, of course, the CDC continuing to put mandates on masks without even presenting you the evidence.

00:30:16.000 creating an us versus them mentality based on an ever-changing narrative that's spreading like a disease throughout the citizen body politic.

00:30:23.000 It's just another stepping stone toward authoritarianism.

00:30:25.000 We need to fight back. 0.97

00:30:26.000 Now, it's time to read up on the truth in order to stand up to these crazy leftists.

00:32:06.000 You are listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.

00:32:10.000 Okay, so final note on the supposed Delta spike that's going to kill us all so much so that the vaccinated have to remask. 0.89

00:32:22.000 So Britain is a few weeks ahead of us on this.

00:32:24.000 Britain had this major COVID spike, right?

00:32:26.000 So if you look at the case rate in Great Britain with regard to COVID, about two weeks ago, they were up at, even a week ago, they were up at like 50,000 cases a day, which was up near the height of where they had been during the worst of the pandemic for them last January.

00:32:39.000 They were up like 60,000 cases a day, their seven-day rolling average about that time.

00:32:43.000 Again, just as of last week, there are up to about 50,000 cases a day.

00:32:46.000 There's only one problem with the narrative that this continues forever and that we're going to have to mask up in all of this.

00:32:50.000 And that is the Delta variant stopped in Britain.

00:32:54.000 According to the Washington Post, quote, this is a puzzler.

00:32:57.000 Coronavirus cases are plummeting in Britain.

00:32:59.000 They were supposed to soar.

00:33:00.000 Scientists aren't sure why they haven't, but I've been told the scientists know everything.

00:33:04.000 They know everything.

00:33:05.000 And that is why you have to listen to them.

00:33:07.000 The daily number of new infections recorded in the country fell for seven days in a row before a slight uptick on Wednesday when the country reported 27,734 cases.

00:33:15.000 That's still almost half of where the caseload was a week ago.

00:33:18.000 The trajectory of the virus in Britain is something the world is watching closely and anxiously as a test of how the Delta variant behaves in a society with relatively high vaccination rates. 0.74

00:33:27.000 And now people are asking if this could be the first real-world evidence that the pandemic in Britain is sputtering out after three national lockdowns and almost 130,000 deaths.

00:33:36.000 Public health experts alongside the government predicted that cases would be rising in Britain at this point, perhaps even exponentially.

00:33:44.000 The highly contagious Delta variant of the virus first detected in India accounts for almost all new cases there.

00:33:49.000 On July 17th, cases reached 54,600, the highest since January.

00:33:53.000 Two days later, dubbed Freedom Day by the press, Prime Minister Boris Johnson's government ended all government mandates in England for mask wearing and social distancing.

00:34:00.000 And everybody on the left lost their bleep.

00:34:02.000 They lost it. 0.83

00:34:03.000 They said he was going to kill everybody. 1.00

00:34:04.000 The Delta variant was going to murder everyone in Britain, all because of that evil Boris Johnson and his crazy hair.

00:34:10.000 Some of the best infectious disease modelers on the planet, who weren't totally wrong last year when they said that 2.2 million people would die in the United States like Neil Ferguson, the always wrong epidemiologist from the UK.

00:34:21.000 Some of the best infectious disease modelers on the planet warned 100,000 new cases a day this summer could be expected.

00:34:28.000 However, the trend since then has been on a sharp decline.

00:34:32.000 Scientists have theories.

00:34:33.000 Maybe it's the sunshine.

00:34:34.000 There was a week-long heat wave.

00:34:36.000 Yeah, probably it's that.

00:34:37.000 Schools have closed for the summer break, so children are not spreading the virus as much.

00:34:40.000 Test and trace might be working.

00:34:42.000 Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

00:34:44.000 Test and trace ain't working in a country with 50,000 new infections a day, guys.

00:34:49.000 Nope!

00:34:50.000 It's also possible people have stopped getting tested, because if they test positive, even if they are fully vaccinated, they are asked to quarantine for 10 days, even if they are about to travel abroad for their holidays.

00:35:00.000 Or maybe Britain has reached an immunity threshold.

00:35:02.000 More than 70% of adults here are fully vaccinated.

00:35:04.000 88% have had a first dose, one of the best vaccine uptakes in the world.

00:35:08.000 Among those who remain unvaccinated, many have had COVID or asymptomatic infection.

00:35:12.000 Paul Hunter, professor of medicine at the University of East Anglia, says Britain could be approaching population immunity with people immune either from vaccinations or natural infection.

00:35:20.000 By the way, we should check those stats in the United States.

00:35:23.000 Vaccination plus natural infection in the United States?

00:35:26.000 We have got to be closing in on herd immunity at this point.

00:35:29.000 If you look at how many COVID vaccinations we have done in the United States, We have done, at this point, I'm looking up the population stats.

00:35:38.000 Right now, in the United States, approximately 58% of the population has had at least one dose, and 49.8% of the population, 164 million people, have been fully vaccinated in the United States.

00:35:51.000 You take that 50% of the population, and then you gotta add on top millions and millions of COVID infections that have already happened, many of whom didn't get vaccinated afterward because they believed they had natural immunity.

00:36:02.000 We've got to be approaching herd immunity in the same way that the UK does.

00:36:06.000 Martin McKee, professor of European Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, said he doubted Britain was reaching population or herd immunity, in part because that wouldn't explain regional differences.

00:36:16.000 I don't have a simple answer.

00:36:17.000 None of us do, he said.

00:36:20.000 But hospitalizations and deaths are rising in Britain at a far slower rate than during previous waves.

00:36:24.000 More than 6,000 COVID patients are in the hospitals in Britain.

00:36:26.000 That's the highest figure since March.

00:36:28.000 On Wednesday, Britain reported 91 new deaths.

00:36:31.000 91 new deaths in a country of approximately 67 million people.

00:36:37.000 That is not a big number.

00:36:39.000 And we're seeing the same.

00:36:40.000 So again, the media coverage here is just egregiously bad.

00:36:44.000 If you look at the situation in Israel, for example, there are people in Israel.

00:36:47.000 Oh, my God, it's crisis time in Israel.

00:36:49.000 Like, wow, so many people in Israel having serious hospitalizations.

00:36:54.000 And it's really it's really a problem.

00:36:56.000 I'm looking.

00:36:57.000 We're going to keep doing this.

00:36:59.000 We're going to keep doing this.

00:37:00.000 We have to keep doing this because there's no end point.

00:37:03.000 One. According to Johns Hopkins University.

00:37:06.000 One.

00:37:08.000 But we're gonna keep doing this.

00:37:10.000 We're gonna keep doing this.

00:37:12.000 We have to keep doing this because there's no end point.

00:37:14.000 There never was an end point.

00:37:16.000 And this pisses me off. It really does.

00:37:18.000 Because for those of us who were data-driven this entire time, who were willing to do what it took to keep ourselves and our families safe, all we asked was some sort of rationale for why you are doing what you are doing.

00:37:28.000 You know, if you're going to ask me to restrict my liberty, I want an explanation of why my liberty ought to be restricted.

00:37:34.000 If you don't give me that explanation, and you demand that I continue to restrict my liberty, No.

00:37:40.000 The answer is going to be no.

00:37:41.000 And I think more and more Americans are saying no.

00:37:42.000 I think this is... I think we're done.

00:37:45.000 I mean, the American people.

00:37:45.000 I don't think we're going to tolerate this.

00:37:47.000 Maybe they will in places like New York, where apparently they love having idiot bureaucrats in control. 1.00

00:37:51.000 Or LA, where you need Barbara Farrar, who knows as much about science as my seven-year-old, figuring out how many people should mask. 0.99

00:37:59.000 But it is maddening.

00:38:00.000 It's absolutely maddening.

00:38:01.000 Okay, meanwhile, Joe Biden continues to dotter around.

00:38:06.000 It is incredible how we are, the Democratic Party is now completely reliant on the continued durability of a man who clearly is losing it.

00:38:18.000 Here was the President of the United States yesterday saying that he ran for three reasons but he can only remember two.

00:38:22.000 I remember when this killed Rick Perry's presidential campaign when he did something similar.

00:38:25.000 But apparently it's no problem when sitting President of the United States can't put things together.

00:38:29.000 When I said I was running when I announced my campaign, and not many people took it seriously, I said I was running for three reasons.

00:38:39.000 One, to restore the soul of this country, a sense of decency and honor.

00:38:43.000 But secondly, to rebuild the backbone of the country.

00:38:48.000 Hard-working, middle-class folks who built this country.

00:38:56.000 Okay, so, um, that's great.

00:38:58.000 He can't remember basic things.

00:39:00.000 Also, polls show that Joe Biden is in a bit of trouble.

00:39:03.000 As he should be.

00:39:05.000 According to a brand new poll, 6 in 10 Americans say that they blame Joe Biden for trouble on inflation.

00:39:11.000 According to Mediaite, 20% of voters said his economic policies were somewhat responsible, according to this new study.

00:39:17.000 Conducted for Politico by Morning Consult, another 39% said the policies were very responsible.

00:39:22.000 12% said they didn't know.

00:39:24.000 Only 28% of Americans said that Joe Biden's policies were not too responsible or not responsible at all for the surge in inflation.

00:39:31.000 Inflation has continued to surge.

00:39:33.000 The Bureau of Labor Statistics indicated food prices increased significantly in the month of June alone, including the cost of beef, which is up 4.5%, eggs, 3.1%, milk, 0.05%.

00:39:42.000 Home prices have also increased, setting a record year-over-year growth of 17% in May.

00:39:47.000 In fact, Jerome Powell, who is the head of the Federal Reserve, he said, yeah, by the way, you know, we were saying that inflation is transitory and all of that.

00:39:54.000 What we meant was it's not transitory.

00:39:56.000 Here's Jerome Powell.

00:39:57.000 The process of reopening the economy is unprecedented, as was the shutdown at the onset of the pandemic.

00:40:04.000 As the reopening continues, bottlenecks, hiring difficulties, and other constraints could continue to limit how quickly supply can adjust, raising the possibility that inflation could turn out to be higher and more persistent than we expect.

00:40:17.000 Oh, well, no big deal, though.

00:40:19.000 It's all good.

00:40:19.000 Everything's good.

00:40:21.000 In fact, the New York Times has an entire piece today about how isn't it magical that when we just give people money that we alleviate poverty?

00:40:28.000 They have a big, big piece in the New York Times by Jason DeParle today, quote, pandemic aid programs spur a record drop in poverty.

00:40:34.000 The most comprehensive study yet of the federal response to the pandemic shows huge but temporary benefits for the poor and helps frame a larger debate over the role of government.

00:40:41.000 See, here's the thing.

00:40:42.000 According to the left, the way you solve poverty is you just drop bags of cash on people.

00:40:46.000 According to the right, the way that you solve poverty is you incentivize people to make better decisions for their family that allow them to climb the rungs of success.

00:40:54.000 That's permanent.

00:40:55.000 You want to get people out of poverty?

00:40:57.000 You incentivize them to get jobs.

00:40:59.000 You incentivize them to get educated.

00:41:00.000 You incentivize them to make responsible financial decisions.

00:41:02.000 According to the left, the way that you make people not poor is you drop fiat money on them and inflate the currency.

00:41:09.000 And apparently this is supposed to... By the way, there are consequences to that.

00:41:13.000 Here is one of the consequences.

00:41:15.000 The brand new Q2 GDP growth stats are out today.

00:41:19.000 They were expected to be 8.5%, right?

00:41:21.000 Record, massive growth.

00:41:24.000 That was the expectation, 8.5, 8.4%.

00:41:25.000 The economy instead grew at a pitiful 6.5% in the last quarter.

00:41:26.000 So the economists only missed by 25%.

00:41:28.000 There are 400,000 initial jobless claims.

00:41:30.000 6.5% in the last quarter.

00:41:32.000 So the economists only missed by 25%.

00:41:37.000 There are 400,000 initial jobless claims.

00:41:41.000 That is a huge GDP miss.

00:41:44.000 It is a huge GDP miss.

00:41:47.000 you And that GDP miss, the Democrats are going to blame that on the COVID uptick?

00:41:52.000 It is not due to the COVID uptick.

00:41:54.000 It is due to the government botching COVID, and it is due to the public health messaging, and it is due to the fact that you are paying people to stay home, and it is suppressing economic growth.

00:42:04.000 You're inflating the currency, you're inflating prices, demand is starting to decline because you have inflated the prices, and because productivity is not ramping up to meet demand.

00:42:15.000 All of this is policy.

00:42:17.000 Policy is what is doing this right now.

00:42:19.000 If you just left everything, it's fine.

00:42:20.000 The entire Democratic Party was going around shouting, build back better.

00:42:24.000 We got to build back.

00:42:25.000 You know, that's the thing.

00:42:26.000 Build back.

00:42:26.000 You didn't even build back to regular.

00:42:29.000 When they say build back better, what they mean is, what if we use this pandemic as an excuse to dismantle all of the institutions of success that had created a historically prosperous economy in March of last year?

00:42:40.000 What if we just dismantled all of that and then built it back better?

00:42:44.000 Instead, here's what you get.

00:42:45.000 You get my seven-year-old building a beautiful structure with her blocks, and then my one-and-a-half-year-old coming in, wrecking it, and then stacking two blocks and being like, I built back better.

00:42:55.000 This is what you have done if you are the Democratic Party at this point.

00:42:59.000 That is a terrible miss.

00:43:01.000 6.5% growth versus 8.5% growth?

00:43:02.000 Not even close.

00:43:03.000 8.5% growth? Not even close. Not even close. And this is because of the Batchary.

00:43:10.000 It is because they've blown money into this economy at unbelievable record rates that were unnecessary.

00:43:15.000 You know, most people in America ended the pandemic with more in savings than they started the pandemic with.

00:43:20.000 That's how much money we spent.

00:43:21.000 And Joe Biden's plan after that was instead of telling everybody to get back to work, His plan was, what if we just keep giving you money?

00:43:28.000 Like forever. 1.00

00:43:29.000 And the New York Times is there cheering it on like good little idiots they are. 0.98

00:43:31.000 quote, A huge increase in government aid prompted by the covid pandemic will cut poverty nearly in half this year from pre pandemic levels and push the share of Americans in poverty to the lowest level on record, according to the most comprehensive analysis yet of a vast but temporary expansion of the safety net. 0.97

00:43:47.000 The number of poor Americans is expected to fall by nearly 20 million from 2018 levels, a decline of almost 45%.

00:43:54.000 The country has never cut poverty so much in such a short period of time.

00:43:57.000 And the development is especially notable since it defies economic headwinds.

00:44:01.000 The economy has nearly 7 million fewer jobs than it did before the pandemic.

00:44:05.000 Yes, because the way that you solve poverty, according to the left, is you just shovel meaningless dollars at people, which is not a medium or long-term solution to poverty.

00:44:13.000 It has never been a medium or long-term solution to poverty, to just shovel money at people.

00:44:19.000 It exacerbates over-the-long-haul systemic poverty.

00:44:22.000 It creates incentives for people to make worse financial decisions.

00:44:26.000 It reduces growth rates.

00:44:27.000 It gets rid of incentive for entrepreneurs to create new businesses and better products and services.

00:44:34.000 Joe Biden is going to feel the burden here.

00:44:36.000 He really is.

00:44:38.000 The Democratic Party has blowback coming.

00:44:40.000 2022 is going to be a very bad year for them.

00:44:42.000 It's the reason why they're so reliant on the January 6th commission.

00:44:45.000 Because if at any point the American people look around and realize that we shouldn't be in a slow growth mode here.

00:44:52.000 We should be in the fastest growth probably ever thanks to the artificial coma the economy was put in last year.

00:44:57.000 And now it's being blown by the incompetence of a spend first, tax later administration.

00:45:04.000 Yeah, the American people are not going to react well to this in any way, shape, or form.

00:45:08.000 All right, we'll be back here later today with an additional hour of content coming up soon.
