00:00:00.000 The Omicron variant of COVID-19 spooks the globe.
00:00:04.000 Anthony Fauci announces he is the voice of science, again.
00:00:07.000 And Joe Biden struggles to respond.
00:00:09.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.
00:00:09.000 This is the Ben Shapiro Show.
00:00:11.000 Today's show is sponsored by ExpressVPN.
00:00:16.000 This video is sponsored by ExpressVPN.
00:00:17.000 I protect my data with VPN, so should you.
00:00:19.000 Visit ExpressVPN.com.
00:00:21.000 Slash Ben will get to all the news in just one moment first.
00:00:24.000 Using the internet without ExpressVPN is like leaving your laptop exposed at a coffee shop table while you run to the bathroom.
00:00:29.000 Most of the time, probably okay.
00:00:31.000 But then there's that one time where you go to the bathroom, you come out, and there's some weird guy who's just reading your emails.
00:00:35.000 Why would you just do that?
00:00:36.000 Why wouldn't you just close your computer?
00:00:37.000 Well, do the same thing when you use ExpressVPN, because here's the thing.
00:00:40.000 Every time you use public Wi-Fi, somebody could be snooping on your data, looking over your shoulder.
00:00:45.000 ExpressVPN puts a stop to this.
00:00:47.000 It creates a secure encrypted tunnel between your device and the internet, so your online activity cannot be seen by anyone.
00:00:52.000 I use ExpressVPN on all my devices.
00:00:54.000 It works on everything.
00:00:55.000 Phones, laptops, even routers.
00:00:56.000 So everyone who shares your Wi-Fi can still be protected, even if they don't have ExpressVPN.
00:01:01.000 I use ExpressVPN on my phone because I'm on it all the time.
00:01:03.000 I use it on my computer as well.
00:01:04.000 The best part is, using ExpressVPN, it's as easy as closing that laptop when you head off to the coffee shop bathroom.
00:01:10.000 ExpressVPN is the world's number one rated VPN by Mashable, The Verge, countless others.
00:01:15.000 If you're like me, you believe your online activity is your business, secure yourself.
00:01:18.000 Visit expressvpn.com slash ben today.
00:01:20.000 Again, that's expressvpn.com slash ben.
00:01:22.000 You can get an extra three months for free when you use expressvpn.com slash ben.
00:01:28.000 Okay, quick reminder, before we actually get to the news, today, like today, it's the last day to get 50% off your Dailyware membership by using code DW50.
00:01:36.000 I'm just gonna ask you, you need to do it.
00:01:37.000 Please just do it.
00:01:38.000 Seriously, if you've been considering it for years, Now number one is the best deal you're going to get all year.
00:01:42.000 We do it like once a year.
00:01:43.000 We may not do it next year.
00:01:44.000 50% off your DailyWare membership, but you're also helping us fight because that's what we do here, right?
00:01:49.000 We are the people who are going out and hiring Gina Carano when she gets fired from Disney Plus for no reason at all to make a movie with us and saving her from the cancellation pile.
00:01:58.000 We are the folks who are doing the investigative reporting that leads to the exposure of the terrible public school system in Loudoun County, and that can shift the political race.
00:02:06.000 We are the folks who are fighting the Biden-Vaxx mandate by actually taking the Biden administration to court in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
00:02:12.000 We need your help to do all those things.
00:02:13.000 So not only do you get all of our awesome content, and you get deals on our merch store, which is now available, and you get all of the brand new stuff we're gonna be doing next year.
00:02:20.000 And we have like a ton of content I cannot wait to tell you about.
00:02:23.000 Tons more things we're gonna get involved with.
00:02:25.000 We need your help.
00:02:26.000 So today is the last day to get 50% off your daily wear membership.
00:02:28.000 Use code DW50 and get involved today.
00:02:31.000 Alrighty, so.
00:02:32.000 Omicron.
00:02:34.000 So, we have a new variant of COVID-19.
00:02:38.000 You may be sensing already that I'm taking this rather lightly.
00:02:42.000 And I am.
00:02:42.000 And the reason that I'm taking this rather lightly at this point is because I have no evidence that we should be taking this super seriously.
00:02:47.000 When I say that, what I mean is, since Delta, I have been of the opinion that you are going to get immunity one of two ways.
00:02:54.000 Either naturally, or via the vaccine.
00:02:56.000 That's the whole story.
00:02:57.000 And it's your choice.
00:02:59.000 I'm not under the weird assumption that some people seem to be under that you're never going to get COVID.
00:03:03.000 I think that you will.
00:03:04.000 I think that even if you get vaccinated, at some point you are likely to get COVID.
00:03:07.000 And because you're vaccinated, it's likely to be very mild.
00:03:10.000 And we have great therapeutics that are coming online.
00:03:12.000 We should have the new Pfizer therapeutic that is going to be widely available in the next couple of weeks.
00:03:17.000 And so the only thing that would freak me out at this point is if there was a variant that emerged that was more deadly.
00:03:22.000 That's the only thing.
00:03:23.000 And I'm not that freaked out by a new variant that is more transmissible.
00:03:26.000 Again, the reason being, there is no evidence whatsoever that the T-cell and B-cell immunity that has been created by the vaccine and by previous natural immunity Is completely ineffective against the new variant.
00:03:38.000 If it were, it would be more deadly.
00:03:40.000 If I'm just worried about people getting infected by a new variant, I'm not that worried because that's been true since Delta.
00:03:46.000 So there's been a lot of data out there about the fact that, for example, the Biden administration, under Joe Biden, more people have died in the United States of COVID than died under Trump. 0.59
00:03:54.000 And using Joe Biden's stupid math, which is the president is always responsible for anything bad that happens, that means that Joe Biden really is solely responsible. 0.92
00:04:01.000 But here's the thing. 0.97
00:04:02.000 I don't think Trump was responsible for the deaths last year because no one did great against COVID unless you were a tiny island nation that literally sealed your borders like New Zealand or like Taiwan or something.
00:04:12.000 Or Unless you basically... There is no or.
00:04:19.000 There's no or.
00:04:20.000 If you're a tiny island nation, you did great.
00:04:20.000 That was it.
00:04:22.000 If you're not a tiny island nation, you eventually got hit.
00:04:24.000 End of story.
00:04:25.000 And it moved through your population.
00:04:27.000 And if you vaccinated, fewer people died.
00:04:28.000 And if you didn't vaccinate, more people died.
00:04:30.000 That's the whole thing.
00:04:31.000 So this year, A lot of people died, not because, again, not because of Joe Biden.
00:04:37.000 OK, I'm just going to put it out there.
00:04:39.000 A lot of people this year did not die because of Joe Biden.
00:04:41.000 A lot of people died this year because Delta was very transmissible and a lot of people were not vaccinated.
00:04:46.000 I can say that Joe Biden's language with regard to science was super counterproductive with regard to the vaccines, because it was.
00:04:52.000 I can say that he sent mixed messages throughout the pandemic, which he did.
00:04:55.000 But in the end, every person has to make their own decision as to whether they get vaccinated or not.
00:04:59.000 And Delta changed the game as far as the number of people who actually got the disease.
00:05:03.000 So, I've said since the vaccines were available, effectively speaking, from a public policy perspective, the pandemic is now over.
00:05:09.000 The reason that I've been saying that is not because the pandemic is over, okay?
00:05:12.000 The pandemic is not over, people are still dying of COVID.
00:05:15.000 The question is, from a public policy perspective, what can government do and what can government not do?
00:05:20.000 Now that you've had the choice to get vaccinated and the vaccines, again, they remain durable, not against infection, they're not, but they remain very durable.
00:05:27.000 against hospitalization and death by all available data so far. And I only care about hospitalizations and death because my kids all have colds this week. I do not care about how many people in the United States get a cold this year. I don't care. No one knows. No one cares. Why? Because my kids are going to be fine. COVID is the only disease I've ever heard of in my entire life, but we care deeply about how many people get it and don't get hospitalized and die.
00:05:49.000 I don't know why. The only thing I can think is that there are a lot of people who have gotten in the headspace of We Have to Panic.
00:05:56.000 And if the stats on hospitalizations and deaths are not sufficient to cause panic, well, then we'll just go to the number of people who are infected.
00:06:02.000 Even the Biden administration has said we shouldn't be paying attention to the infection numbers.
00:06:06.000 We should only be paying attention to the hospitalization and death numbers.
00:06:10.000 Okay, so I'm not particularly freaked out by Omicron at this point because there is no evidence, none, zero, zip, zilch, that it is deadlier and more likely to affect hospitalization than Delta or than the original.
00:06:23.000 Delta was much more transmissible, not more deadly.
00:06:26.000 Delta was more transmissible, not more likely to get you hospitalized if you got it.
00:06:29.000 It's just more likely to give it to you.
00:06:32.000 As far as Omicron, so far as I'm aware, there is no data whatsoever That it is more that is more deadly or that you're more likely to go to the hospital if you get it than if you get Delta or if you get the original variant.
00:06:44.000 And yet everybody is going nuts about this, which leads me to suggest that I think the entire world has gone crazy and people are now mentally and emotionally fragile and something in the in the human psyche has cracked over the amount of media attention and governmental attention that has been placed on a disease that at this point Thanks to therapeutics is rather treatable and thanks to vaccines is not nearly as deadly as we thought it was going to be at the beginning.
00:07:11.000 Remember at the beginning they were saying that this thing was going to kill 3-4% of the people who got it.
00:07:15.000 Unless you're over the age of 75 and have a pre-existing condition, it ain't.
00:07:19.000 We'll get to more on Omicron and what we know and what we don't in just one second.
00:07:22.000 First, let's talk about something amazing you can do for your family.
00:07:26.000 Okay, so I did this for my family.
00:07:28.000 I went to my parents' garage.
00:07:30.000 They had a bunch of old films.
00:07:31.000 They had a bunch of old film reels and VHS tapes and like stuff that they couldn't access because who has the technology anymore?
00:07:36.000 I took all that stuff.
00:07:37.000 I loaded it up in a legacy box.
00:07:39.000 I sent it to legacy box and legacy box sent back a digitized version of all of this material.
00:07:44.000 Legacy Box is the best way to preserve your past.
00:07:48.000 Send your Legacy Box filled with old home movies and pictures.
00:07:50.000 They'll do the rest.
00:07:51.000 They digitize your moments onto a thumb drive, the cloud, or DVD.
00:07:54.000 It's like magic.
00:07:55.000 My parents gave out DVDs to all the members of our family with all those childhood memories.
00:07:59.000 They've got preserved memories from their childhoods.
00:08:02.000 It's an amazing, amazing thing, right?
00:08:03.000 It makes accessible stuff that you thought was completely inaccessible and, by the way, protects it against the elements because digitized stuff isn't going to get hurt by like moths, okay?
00:08:11.000 But if you leave it in your garage and it's just old film reels, it will.
00:08:15.000 Go check out Legacy Box right now.
00:08:16.000 It's trusted by over a million people.
00:08:19.000 It's easy.
00:08:19.000 It's safe.
00:08:20.000 Every kit includes everything you need to safely pack and send your recorded moments.
00:08:23.000 I know the folks who run it really trustworthy.

00:08:40.000 Okay.
00:08:41.000 Everybody is going crazy over Omicron, according to the Associated Press, quote.
00:08:45.000 The new, potentially more contagious Omicron variants of the coronavirus popped up in more European countries on Saturday, just days after being identified in South Africa, leaving governments around the world scrambling to stop the spread.
00:08:57.000 Question.
00:08:59.000 What do you think you're going to do?
00:09:00.000 Seriously, you tried lockdowns with Delta.
00:09:02.000 Did it work?
00:09:03.000 How'd that work out for you?
00:09:05.000 Not well.
00:09:05.000 I've noticed that Delta is still going around in New York.
00:09:08.000 It's still going around in Vermont.
00:09:09.000 High rates of vaccination was still going around in Israel where nearly everyone was vaccinated.
00:09:13.000 How about this?
00:09:14.000 How about recognizing that stopping the spread is not chiefly the mechanism by which you defeat the disease?
00:09:19.000 Stopping the hospitalization and the death is the mechanism by which you chiefly stop the disease.
00:09:24.000 Every single scientist knows this.
00:09:26.000 Everyone.
00:09:28.000 Everyone.
00:09:29.000 Unless this thing is more deadly, in which case, unless this is like super deadly, in which case, You have to ramp up the mRNA vaccines because they can, right?
00:09:37.000 They're actually talking about doing that right now.
00:09:39.000 Now that they know that these mRNA vaccines are highly effective, if this thing affects the cells in a different way, if it has different spike proteins, for example, they can actually tailor a new vaccine and have that thing rolling off the lines in the next couple of months.
00:09:54.000 They've already talked about this.
00:09:56.000 But stopping the spread, 15 days to slow the spread has now become nearly two years to slow the spread, gang.
00:10:02.000 And guess what?
00:10:02.000 The spread was not slowed.
00:10:04.000 It was not.
00:10:04.000 Delta completely overcame.
00:10:06.000 All the talk about cloth masks are going to save us all.
00:10:08.000 You know what you noticed?
00:10:09.000 Every place where people went indoors, in large numbers, whether it was masked or unmasked, there was high spread.
00:10:16.000 Germany, high spread today.
00:10:18.000 Huge parts of Europe, high spread today.
00:10:20.000 Okay, so all of this crap about how you're going to slow the spread, slow the spread.
00:10:25.000 Okay, let me just explain something to you.
00:10:26.000 Ain't happening.
00:10:28.000 It ain't happening.
00:10:29.000 You can slow it temporarily for a small period of time, and then all you're going to have done is destroyed your economy, prevented people from living free lives, and that's it.
00:10:36.000 Those are all the things you have accomplished.
00:10:38.000 Because it will eventually wash through the population as it has every single place.
00:10:43.000 Every place.
00:10:46.000 Delta was transmissible.
00:10:47.000 This is more transmissible.
00:10:49.000 New Zealand tried this routine where they shut all their borders, and it turns out it got in there anyway, and then they tried to do lockdowns, and then eventually they're like, oh yeah, we probably should vaccinate everybody.
00:10:58.000 I'm bewildered by the fact that we're now a year and a half into this thing, more than a year and a half, and we know what we are going to know about COVID.
00:11:07.000 There is no mystery left when it comes to COVID, really.
00:11:10.000 This is not a mysterious disease.
00:11:12.000 We know that if you're in close contact with other people in indoor spaces, you are likely going to get it.
00:11:17.000 We also know it does not have to be deadly for you if you get vaccinated.
00:11:21.000 We also know that if you are young and healthy, it's not going to be deadly for you if you are young and healthy.
00:11:26.000 When I say it's not going to be, I mean like the number of people who are healthy and 30 years old who have died from COVID is vanishingly small.
00:11:33.000 So what are you talking about?
00:11:36.000 Has Omicron changed the game?
00:11:39.000 And if so, why?
00:11:40.000 Explain.
00:11:41.000 Delta was already super transmissible, so now it's super duper transmissible under Omicron.
00:11:47.000 Okay.
00:11:48.000 And?
00:11:49.000 Really, and?
00:11:50.000 The UK on Saturday tightened its rules on mask-wearing.
00:11:54.000 Well, that'll fix it, probably.
00:11:55.000 And on testing of international arrivals after finding two cases.
00:11:58.000 New cases were confirmed Saturday in Germany and Italy with Belgium, Israel, and Hong Kong also reporting that the variant has been found in travelers.
00:12:04.000 Okay, so are we just gonna do this forever?
00:12:05.000 I assume yes.
00:12:06.000 I assume there will be, oh, meh, crot. 0.99
00:12:09.000 And then, we'll move on to whatever the next letter of the Greek alphabet is.
00:12:13.000 And we'll just keep going.
00:12:14.000 We'll just keep going.
00:12:15.000 Five years from now, there'll be a new variant.
00:12:16.000 People will be like, wow, this one's even more transmissible than the last one.
00:12:19.000 We'll be like, yeah, but nobody's dying.
00:12:21.000 And all of our leaders will be like, yes, but it's more transmissible.
00:12:23.000 Like, but no one's dying.
00:12:25.000 Nope, more transmissible.
00:12:27.000 This is insanity.
00:12:29.000 Okay, now the reason, again, that I'm focused in on the deadliness is because who cares if it's more transmissible if there aren't more people getting hospitalized and dying?
00:12:37.000 Okay, right now.
00:12:40.000 And it's amazing.
00:12:41.000 The authorities we are supposed to listen to are the people who know the least.
00:12:43.000 Okay, so I'm going to give you the person who knows the most.
00:12:46.000 Okay, this is the South African doctor, Angelique Coetzee.
00:12:50.000 She identified Omicron in South Africa.
00:12:53.000 Here she is explaining what Omicron is and what it is not.
00:12:58.000 The overall patients that was recorded yesterday was around about 3,700.
00:13:05.000 So our positivity rate is 9.2%.
00:13:11.000 Yes, it is more than we would have loved it to be.
00:13:17.000 But looking at the mildness of the symptoms that we are seeing, currently there's no reason for panicking.
00:13:25.000 As we don't see severely ill patients.
00:13:31.000 So then what the... What in the hell are we talking about?
00:13:35.000 We're shutting down the globe again. 1.00
00:13:37.000 The stock markets are dumping because they're afraid that all these morons who run our governments are just gonna shut everything down. 0.99
00:13:42.000 And the doctor who discovered the variants in South Africa is like, yeah, we're seeing mild disease. 0.98
00:13:46.000 No increase in hospitalizations, no increase in deaths. 0.98
00:13:49.000 Are you all insane? 1.00
00:13:49.000 Have you all lost your damn- The answer is, they love the control. 1.00
00:13:52.000 They love it so much. 1.00
00:13:53.000 And they know, again, that the political arena is stacked in favor of control.
00:13:59.000 You want your politicians to- And you know what?
00:14:00.000 It's our fault.
00:14:01.000 It's our fault.
00:14:02.000 We, as individual human beings living in democracies, we want our leaders to do something!
00:14:06.000 Do something!
00:14:07.000 Save us!
00:14:07.000 Protect us!
00:14:08.000 Here's the thing.
00:14:08.000 They can't.
00:14:10.000 They cannot.
00:14:10.000 The only thing that our leadership was capable of doing during this entire pandemic was throwing money at the big pharma companies.
00:14:16.000 And big pharma companies came up with an answer.
00:14:19.000 So, that's it.
00:14:20.000 Those are all the things.
00:14:21.000 That is what government has been able to do.
00:14:23.000 But you out there, you somehow think that if your leader tells you to stay home, your leader has done you a favor.
00:14:28.000 Your leader has not done you a favor. 1.00
00:14:29.000 Your leader's an idiot. 1.00
00:14:30.000 Your leader knows less than this doctor. 1.00
00:14:32.000 Yeah, I'm listening to the science.
00:14:34.000 She's a doctor.
00:14:35.000 Is she not the science? 0.99
00:14:36.000 But no, we're supposed to listen to Dr. Anthony Fauci, who again has pretzeled himself into a human Ouroboros by shoving his head so far up his ass it's coming out his head again. 0.93
00:14:45.000 We're supposed to listen to him, who's been wrong every single step of the pandemic, but not the lady who discovered Omicron. 0.98
00:14:52.000 Not that lady. 0.56
00:14:52.000 You can't listen to her because she's saying it's a mild disease. 0.56
00:14:57.000 Over in the UK, they're going to boost mask wearing.
00:15:00.000 They said that anyone arriving in England must take a PCR test for COVID-19 on the second day after the arrival and self-isolate until they provide a negative test.
00:15:07.000 If someone tests positive for the Omicron variant, he said their close contacts will also have to self-isolate for 10 days regardless of vaccination status.
00:15:16.000 Okay, regardless of vaccination status.
00:15:18.000 So before, if somebody was a close contact, got COVID, and you were vaccinated, you didn't have to isolate.
00:15:24.000 Now, because of Omicron, they have to isolate.
00:15:26.000 Okay, meanwhile, many countries have slapped restrictions on various Southern African countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, the EU, Iran, Japan, New Zealand, Thailand, and the United States.
00:15:37.000 Also, I should note here that Israel actually shut its borders to all travelers again.
00:15:45.000 Again, so that was great.
00:15:46.000 They were open for like 12 hours.
00:15:48.000 And then the Israeli government, because again, all politics is stacked in favor of lockdown fanatics.
00:15:53.000 The Israeli government was like, no one comes in again.
00:15:55.000 And by the way, if you do come in and you get a special dispensation, the way that it works in Israel, you have to take a PCR test.
00:16:00.000 You have to stay in a quarantine hotel until you take the PCR and get the results.
00:16:04.000 Then even if you come up negative, you have to quarantine for a week.
00:16:07.000 Wherever you're going.
00:16:08.000 Until you take a second negative PCR test.
00:16:10.000 Everyone has lost their minds.
00:16:11.000 You wonder why the markets are dumping?
00:16:12.000 It is not because of Omicron. 0.99
00:16:14.000 The markets are dumping because the markets recognize that a bunch of political leaders who are stupider than your typical kitchen sink are running the place. 1.00
00:16:23.000 By the way, how dumb are our political leaders? 1.00
00:16:25.000 How politically motivated are our political leaders? 0.99
00:16:28.000 All you have to do to understand the answer to that question is notice That the reason that we named this thing Omicron is because of politics.
00:16:36.000 I'll explain in just one second.

00:18:06.000 Enter promo code Ben at checkout.
00:18:08.000 Okay, so.
00:18:10.000 How much is politics infusing how we do public health these days?
00:18:13.000 You know why this thing is called Omicron?
00:18:15.000 You know why?
00:18:16.000 The reason why is because they didn't want to name it new.
00:18:18.000 Okay, new was the next one in the Greek alphabet. 0.86
00:18:21.000 And they were afraid that people are stupid enough to think that if it was called the new variant, they'd be like, oh, you mean the new variant, like N-E-W. 0.90
00:18:28.000 So even if they had, who cares? 0.94
00:18:29.000 But the real reason is because the one after that is Xi, okay?
00:18:34.000 Xi, which is the Greek letter Xi, it is spelled X-I.
00:18:39.000 And you know what else is spelled X-I?
00:18:41.000 The name of China's leader, Xi Jinping.
00:18:44.000 And so even though they are not hourly different, right?
00:18:48.000 A-U-R-A-L-L-Y, they're not, they sound different to the ear. 0.99
00:18:53.000 When you spell them, they look the same, right?
00:18:55.000 The Greek letter psi is spelled X-I, and so is Xi Jinping.
00:19:00.000 And so who was like, well, we don't want to, we don't want to make that, we don't want to remind people that this thing came from China.
00:19:04.000 That would cause racism. 0.57
00:19:07.000 You people.
00:19:09.000 A spokesperson, Tarek Jasarevic, said, quote, New is too easily confounded with new.
00:19:13.000 And Xi was not used because it is a common last name.
00:19:16.000 Oh, really?
00:19:17.000 Is that what this is?
00:19:19.000 You know, Delta is kind of a common name, too.
00:19:20.000 Like, we have an entire airline called Delta here in the United States.
00:19:24.000 I noticed.
00:19:25.000 Also, Alpha is a pretty commonly used term.
00:19:29.000 So is Beta.
00:19:31.000 Says Gamma. 0.62
00:19:32.000 I'm noticing that your sudden shyness about using the Greek alphabet started right about the time that your Chinese paymasters got uptight. 0.93
00:19:42.000 Maybe we should call it the Winnie-the-Pooh variant in order to make sure that we are not targeting Xi Jinping, who definitely, definitely does not look like Winnie-the-Pooh.
00:19:51.000 100% does not look like Winnie-the-Pooh.
00:19:53.000 So we don't know anything about this virus.
00:19:56.000 The only thing that we know about Omicron is that it has more spike proteins, which means that it is more transmissible and may evade whatever vaccine immunity was provided for that spike protein.
00:20:07.000 By the way, what the studies tend to show is that natural immunity has a broader spectrum of disease prevention than does vaccine immunity, according to the Israeli studies, specifically because the vaccines really target only one spike protein, whereas natural immunity can cover more than one.
00:20:22.000 It covers sort of a gamut.
00:20:24.000 OK, so here is Dr. Anthony Fauci, the greatest of all doctors.
00:20:28.000 And he says, well, you know, the big risk here is that it appears more transmissible.
00:20:31.000 Yes, we know.
00:20:32.000 I don't care.
00:20:32.000 I don't care.
00:20:34.000 I assumed every I already once I assume 100 percent of people are either going to get immunity through natural immunity or vaccines.
00:20:40.000 There's no more than 100 percent.
00:20:41.000 There's not 101 percent of humans.
00:20:43.000 It doesn't work that way.
00:20:45.000 So once I've already made that assumption, you can't scare me by telling me that more people are going to get it.
00:20:48.000 I know everybody's going to get it.
00:20:50.000 I'm aware.
00:20:52.000 And, by the way, Pfizer has already come out and they said, oh yeah, by the way, we can rework the vaccines pretty quickly.
00:20:57.000 So if it turns out that this does evade immunity in some severe way, within 100 days, we can rework the Pfizer vaccine in order to generate new immunity.
00:21:10.000 Anyway, here is Anthony Fauci trying to freak you out about the transmissibility of this disease.
00:21:15.000 It has the molecular characteristics that would strongly suggest that it would be more transmissible.
00:21:21.000 It has a bunch of mutations, a disturbingly large number of mutations in the spike protein, which is the business end of the virus, which really binds, particularly in one particular component of that spike that binds to the receptors in your body, in your nose, in your nasopharynx and in your lung.
00:21:40.000 The mutations would strongly suggest That it would be more transmissible and that it might evade some of the protection of monoclonal antibodies and convalescent plasma and perhaps even antibodies that are induced by vaccine.
00:21:56.000 Okay, but here is the thing.
00:21:58.000 If you evade the antibodies that are induced by the vaccine, that doesn't mean that you don't have T-cell and B-cell memory that can still help you, your body, know how to fight this thing.
00:22:06.000 Also, again, we have therapeutics coming online.
00:22:08.000 We have... So here's the question for Anthony Fauci.
00:22:10.000 There he is scaring the crap out of everybody, scaring the pants out of everybody, right?
00:22:14.000 Wow, you know, they might evade the vaccines.
00:22:17.000 One, what are we talking about?
00:22:18.000 Are we talking about evading the vaccines so far as infection?
00:22:20.000 Or are we talking about evading the vaccines so far as the hospitalization and death rate?
00:22:25.000 Again, the only person I have heard who knows anything about the hospitalizations and deaths is the South African doctor who discovered this thing, who said it's causing mild disease, why is everyone freaking out?
00:22:35.000 But I'm going to listen to Anthony Fauci.
00:22:37.000 Okay, so, then Anthony Fauci is asked, does this cause more severe disease?
00:22:41.000 He's like, I don't know.
00:22:43.000 I don't know is not good enough for you to lock down the entire society again, especially because it didn't work the first time.
00:22:49.000 Even, by the way, if it did cause higher rates of hospitalization and death, you would have to explain why lockdowns are the solution to that.
00:22:57.000 Because they weren't the first time.
00:22:59.000 Sweden didn't lock down, and Sweden now has the 56th highest death per million rate.
00:23:04.000 Everyone's ripping on Sweden.
00:23:05.000 Sweden did better than most of y'all, all y'all.
00:23:07.000 Here's Anthony Fauci again, admitting he doesn't know if this causes more death.
00:23:12.000 Do we know if it causes more severe disease?
00:23:16.000 Great question, George, and we don't know that.
00:23:19.000 In fact, we were on the phone with our South African colleagues who have been incredibly good about being so transparent about what's going on there on Friday, and we're meeting with them again today, a little bit later on in a couple of hours, to try and find out if the cases that they've identified that clearly are caused by this variant, what is the level of severity in that?
00:23:40.000 Hopefully it will be light, but you know, South Africa has a relatively small proportion of the population That's vaccinated.
00:23:48.000 So you got to take that into the equation when you're trying to figure out where this virus is really going and what its impact is going to be.
00:23:57.000 Okay, so in other words, you have given us like the wrong information.
00:24:00.000 You just want to scare the living daylights out of us.
00:24:02.000 In a second, we'll get to more of this because it's the markets are reacting.
00:24:05.000 You are reacting.
00:24:06.000 Everybody is reacting, not to the virus. 1.00
00:24:08.000 They're reacting to the insanity and stupidity of our public health officials. 1.00
00:24:11.000 We'll get to more on this in one second. 0.99
00:24:13.000 First, If you're looking for ways to skip the trip to the post office and dodge the hectic holiday shopping traffic, why not save time and money with Stamps.com?

00:25:00.000 You just go Going up a couple of floors?
00:25:01.000 Sure, you know, go to the post office, I suppose.
00:25:03.000 But if you're actually sending a lot of packages, you really need stamps.com.

00:25:21.000 Again, use stamps.com, enter code Shapiro.
00:25:25.000 Okay, so all of our public health officials right now should be focused on one question and one question alone.
00:25:31.000 And that is, is this thing more deadly?
00:25:33.000 And yet that seems to be the thing that people are worried about the least.
00:25:38.000 Okay, so there is no evidence at this point that Omicron is more deadly.
00:25:43.000 And in fact, it would sort of belie the history of viral transmissibility that there would be a new variant.
00:25:50.000 of an old virus that somehow has become more deadly.
00:25:53.000 Usually, the virus has become more transmissible, but not as deadly.
00:25:56.000 That's typically the way that these viruses work.
00:25:58.000 The reason being, viruses want hosts that replicate.
00:26:00.000 They don't want to kill off the hosts.
00:26:03.000 They typically want to be able to breed and then move on to the next person.
00:26:06.000 And if you kill the host, the person doesn't seed it in as many people.
00:26:11.000 But our public health officials are operating from the abundance of caution model.
00:26:16.000 Here's the abundance of caution model.
00:26:17.000 Here's the problem.
00:26:18.000 There is literally no limit to the abundance of caution model.
00:26:21.000 If the idea is that every time there's a variant, you shut down all of society, I'm just wondering when you don't shut down society.
00:26:27.000 For what?
00:26:27.000 I mean, there could be a new... The cold is a virus.
00:26:30.000 In fact, the cold is a coronavirus.
00:26:33.000 Next year, there's going to be a new form of the cold.
00:26:37.000 A common cold.
00:26:38.000 There's actually a bundle of coronaviruses.
00:26:40.000 And next year, there will be a new form of the flu.
00:26:42.000 Should we, as a society, lock down every year during flu season?
00:26:46.000 Because after all, you don't know.
00:26:47.000 This could be the year when there is a more deadly version of the flu.
00:26:52.000 Where are the limits, the abundance of caution principle here?
00:26:55.000 And the answer is, there are none.
00:26:57.000 What you normally do with a disease is you wait until the disease demonstrates signs of deadliness before you start to treat people with radioactivity.
00:27:06.000 If you went to the doctor and the doctor was like, listen, we've got some cells over here.
00:27:09.000 We're not sure what they are, but you know, like they could be benign.
00:27:14.000 They could be, they could be not benign.
00:27:15.000 They could be cancerous.
00:27:17.000 They could be malignant.
00:27:18.000 We just don't know.
00:27:19.000 So we have decided that we are going to zap you.
00:27:21.000 We're going to, we're going to give you, we're going to give you All of the chemotherapy you could possibly want.
00:27:26.000 We're just going to fill your body with the chemo.
00:27:29.000 You'd be like, um, no, I'm going to go get a second opinion because before you do all this damage to my body, I would like to know what it is that I am looking at.
00:27:36.000 Because it's possible that the treatment is worse than the disease.
00:27:39.000 And when it comes to how we as a society have dealt with with COVID, I think it is fair to say at this point that the treatment has been worse than the disease because the treatment didn't even stop the disease.
00:27:48.000 The treatment, in many cases, facilitated the disease.
00:27:50.000 So you got the worst of all of it.
00:27:52.000 Got countries locked down that were not islands, major countries that were locked down after the virus was widely seeded, everyone went home and infected family members, many of those people died, and you destroyed the economy, and you made people dependent on the government, and you prepared a western population for the possibility of authoritarian rule from above.
00:28:10.000 And so now, all those same authoritarians are like, well, you know what, maybe we should just continue doing this forever.
00:28:15.000 After all, abundance of caution.
00:28:17.000 Listen, if you're 75 years old and immunocompromised, maybe you should live your life under the abundance of caution rule because pretty much anything can kill you.
00:28:25.000 If you're 80 years old and you are suffering from some sort of lymphatic cancer, probably you should be super careful no matter what you do.
00:28:33.000 But if you're 30 years old and you're healthy, you cannot live under the abundance of caution regime.
00:28:38.000 And by the way, neither can any whole economy.
00:28:40.000 You cannot.
00:28:41.000 There's no way that entire economies can live under the abundance of caution regime. 0.99
00:28:45.000 Because in the end, somebody's gonna have to pay for all this crap. 0.82
00:28:49.000 We've spent more money over the last two years than any time in human history. 0.98
00:28:51.000 You think we can just keep doing that while shutting down the economy simultaneously?
00:28:56.000 I know Randi Weingarten today is celebrating Omicron because it means that many of her teachers will never have to go back to school.
00:29:01.000 But guess what?
00:29:01.000 Parents will continue schooling their kids.
00:29:04.000 All that's going to happen is you're going to facilitate the vast flow of people from blue states to red states in the United States and the flow from public schools to private schools.
00:29:13.000 And you're going to see people just start to dismiss the regime entirely.
00:29:16.000 It'll break.
00:29:17.000 America's already breaking down into two groups of people, the compliance and the noncompliance.
00:29:21.000 Now, when I say noncompliance, I don't mean people who are refusing to get vaxxed.
00:29:24.000 I mean people who just don't believe that the government ought to have the authority to shut down your entire life because they feel like abundance of caution is their duty.
00:29:32.000 Versus people who are like, well, if the government tells me so, then it's almost in a religious, pagan obsession with the idea that these jackasses wearing white robes know more than anyone else, including the people who discovered the disease.
00:29:44.000 So the stock market has been tanking over the last couple of days.
00:29:48.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, U.S.
00:29:49.000 companies responded to the new COVID-19 variant with a mix of both concern and confusion.
00:29:53.000 Some executives scheduled calls with internal teams to assess the threat or peppered health advisors with questions, while many cautioned they would hold off on making changes to operations until more is known.
00:30:02.000 The fast-spreading Omicron variant is pushing companies in a range of industries to consider how safety measures and new workflows created during the peak of the pandemic could be reinstated.
00:30:12.000 It also served as a reminder executives say that navigating through unknowns of COVID-19 is a new reality of corporate management.
00:30:18.000 Okay, um... Or, alternatively, they're just waiting to see what the government forces them to do.
00:30:24.000 Brian Fialco, chief executive of Jetco Delivery, a Houston trucking and logistics company, said, Fialco said he would watch for guidance from U.S.
00:30:30.000 of just jump to the worst. You have to take it as a real threat. It's a risk. How severe is the risk? We don't know. Fialco said he would watch for guidance from U.S. health authorities.
00:30:38.000 Okay, well, here is the problem. 0.99
00:30:41.000 Our authorities suck. 1.00
00:30:43.000 They suck. 1.00
00:30:44.000 So Anthony Fauci, he came out, he said, it's too early to say if we need more lockdowns, but we have to prepare for the worst. 0.99
00:30:49.000 Well, thank you, sir.
00:30:50.000 That is that is excellent guidance.
00:30:52.000 Wow.
00:30:53.000 Without that, what would I have done today without that?
00:30:55.000 That godlike guidance from Tusayan's, from Dr. Anthony Fauci, the greatest of all doctors, except for Dr. Jill Biden and Dr. J.
00:31:04.000 I mean, what would I have done without the wisdom of a man who tells me that he doesn't know anything, but we should prepare for the worst?
00:31:11.000 Okay, that's it.
00:31:12.000 I guess I have to build a bomb basement.
00:31:14.000 I'm gonna build a bomb shelter today.
00:31:15.000 Gotta prepare for the worst, guys.
00:31:17.000 Next thing you know, there might be a nuclear attack.
00:31:19.000 Here's Dr. Anthony Fauci.
00:31:21.000 Should we expect to be seeing more lockdowns, again, new lockdowns, more mandates?
00:31:28.000 You know, I don't know, George.
00:31:29.000 It's really too early to say.
00:31:30.000 We just really need to, as I've said so often, prepare for the worst.
00:31:36.000 And it may not be that we're going to have to go the route that people are saying.
00:31:41.000 We don't know a lot about this virus, so we want to prepare as best as we can.
00:31:46.000 But it may turn out that this preparation, although important, may not necessarily push us to the next level.
00:31:55.000 Okay, so thanks.
00:31:57.000 That's super helpful, Dr. Fauci.
00:31:59.000 It may not push us to the next level, but you gotta prepare for the worst.
00:32:02.000 Meanwhile, Joe Biden was asked about this, and by the way, he stumbles out to the media to talk.
00:32:08.000 I'm noticing something that's not on his face right here while he's very close to the media.
00:32:11.000 Weird.
00:32:12.000 I've been told that masks are the all-purpose solution to everything on Earth.
00:32:16.000 In fact, if we were all smart, what we would do is we'd go get those costumes from Squid Game.
00:32:21.000 Those guys look safe from COVID.
00:32:23.000 I know the markets have dropped significantly today.
00:32:25.000 What's your response to that?
00:32:27.000 And they have like the big mask with like the triangle on their face and they're wearing like radioactive suits and everything.
00:32:27.000 Expect it.
00:32:32.000 Here is here is Joe Biden wearing nothing in Nantucket, right?
00:32:36.000 Belying his own his own.
00:32:37.000 We've got a mask.
00:32:38.000 Masking is the solution to all things.
00:32:39.000 Now, saying he's not concerned about the stock market sell offs.
00:32:42.000 The markets have dropped significantly today.
00:32:43.000 What's your response to that?
00:32:44.000 I expect it.
00:32:45.000 They always do.
00:32:46.000 I think it's a good thing.
00:32:46.000 Does it worry you at all?
00:32:48.000 They always do.
00:32:50.000 Because it worries you at all?
00:32:53.000 Not at all.
00:32:54.000 Mr. President, why are we waiting until Monday, sir?
00:32:56.000 Okay, so then he's asked, okay, so he was asked about the travel ban.
00:33:02.000 Did they put in place a travel ban from South Africa?
00:33:04.000 Now, here's the thing about the travel ban.
00:33:07.000 We learned that the original travel ban really was not particularly effective, right?
00:33:10.000 Trump put in place a travel ban in late January, and it was called by Joe Biden, xenophobic.
00:33:15.000 And most of the media is xenophobic.
00:33:16.000 When Trump does a thing, as we all know, it is xenophobic.
00:33:18.000 When Joe Biden does it, it's just a kindly old gentleman who's doing exactly the same thing as the last guy, but he's nice.
00:33:23.000 So it's good now, right?
00:33:25.000 When he separates families at the border, it's good. 1.00
00:33:27.000 When he has ICE out there rounding people up and keeping them under bridges, that's good, because he's a nice guy, because he's Joe Biden, because he's old and stupid. 1.00
00:33:37.000 Donald Trump is a malevolent evil force in the universe. 1.00
00:33:40.000 And so when Donald Trump does it, it's xenophobic. 0.97
00:33:41.000 When Joe Biden does it, it's just wonder and joy.
00:33:45.000 So Joe Biden announced that there would be a travel ban put in place on some of these African countries.
00:33:49.000 Now, here's the reality.
00:33:50.000 If it's in these countries already, it's already here.
00:33:52.000 It's already in Hong Kong, it's already in Israel, it's already in Britain, it's everywhere.
00:33:55.000 So all these travel bans are going to be for naught and we kind of know that already.
00:33:59.000 So it's basically just pasting a band-aid on what is already a wound underneath that's infected.
00:34:04.000 It's not going to help particularly a lot.
00:34:07.000 But here is Joe Biden.
00:34:08.000 He was asked about the travel ban.
00:34:10.000 He said Monday.
00:34:11.000 And people are like, why are you doing it Monday?
00:34:12.000 Why not immediately?
00:34:14.000 Have you noticed there's a weird tendency in this administration to declare things emergency and then sort of amble on down, taking their time to do them?
00:34:23.000 And we need a vaccine mandate today, vaccine mandate now, today, four months from now.
00:34:29.000 We need a travel ban. 1.00
00:34:29.000 That travel ban has to kick into place because it is urgent, man. 1.00
00:34:32.000 We got to stop this Omicron.
00:34:35.000 We have to stop it.
00:34:35.000 We have to stop it today, Monday.
00:34:38.000 Isn't it Friday, sir?
00:34:40.000 Here's Joe Biden trying to explain.
00:34:43.000 Mr. President, why are we waiting until Monday, sir?
00:34:45.000 Why not an immediate ban?
00:34:48.000 It's going into effect on Monday, but why not do it now, like other countries have done?
00:34:51.000 Well, because that was a recommendation coming from my medical school.
00:34:58.000 Oh, well, you know, he doesn't have a good reason, but that's okay.
00:35:01.000 By the way, again, Joe Biden, in order to explain Omicron, it was very important for him to take off that mask.
00:35:05.000 I'm just going to point out, here he is.
00:35:06.000 He literally, right before this, he literally walks down the street.
00:35:09.000 He's wearing a mask away from people.
00:35:11.000 He walks up to the media, takes off the mask to talk to the media, coughs into his hand, and you get the impression these folks aren't actually taking this as seriously as they want you to take it.
00:35:21.000 You must obey them, but they must obey no one.
00:35:27.000 There he is, walking down the street.
00:35:29.000 Carefully, because it's wet outside.
00:35:31.000 Takes off that mask.
00:35:37.000 Announces the travel ban, and he's about to hack directly into his hand.
00:35:41.000 Solved the problem, guys.
00:35:43.000 Disease solved.
00:35:45.000 Yep, by the way, he was also shopping maskless.
00:35:47.000 So literally, he was in Nantucket, staying with a donor friend, by the way, because he's super not corrupt in any way.
00:35:53.000 He literally is in a store, there's a giant sign on the front of the store that says, required face covering, and you can see him through the window with no mask on.
00:36:02.000 All your leaders are taking Omicron super seriously.
00:36:04.000 They should set the standards for which businesses should be open.
00:36:07.000 They should mandate that businesses force their customers to mask.
00:36:11.000 Or Vax, except for Joe Biden, who is apparently immune to the disease.
00:36:17.000 That's amazing.
00:36:18.000 Joe Biden is the only person on Earth who is completely safe.
00:36:21.000 That's, you know, good, good.
00:36:22.000 I mean, good for America.
00:36:23.000 He's the only person on Earth who is completely safe from the virus.
00:36:27.000 Okay, in one second, we will get to the ineffectiveness of the travel ban, because at this point, it's kind of a little late, is the truth, once it's already seeded places.
00:36:33.000 It's not going to make all that much of a difference, but we'll get to that in a moment.
00:36:37.000 Let's talk about a gift that keeps on giving you joy and comfort every day all year long.
00:36:42.000 It's a gift that looks great.
00:36:43.000 It feels great.
00:36:44.000 I'm talking about the magic of the X-chair.
00:36:47.000 Okay, I love the X-chair.
00:36:48.000 It'll give you like a massage.
00:36:49.000 It's temperature controlled.
00:36:50.000 It's basically like God made a chair and then he bestowed it upon humanity.
00:36:54.000 And it can grace your tuchus and the rest of your body every time you sit down at your desk.
00:36:58.000 You know, sitting at your desk, it's not that great, but I will tell you, upon the xChair, it's like floating on a bed made of clouds.
00:37:05.000 It's basically like being massaged by angels.
00:37:07.000 This is the xChair.
00:37:08.000 Not only is xChair the world's greatest office chair, with its patented Elemax technology, it doubles as a massage chair, and it can either cool or warm at your back.
00:37:16.000 Can your office chair do that?
00:37:17.000 Or did the schlub who was at your job before just leave you his office chair, and now you're just sitting in the creases that he made? 1.00
00:37:23.000 With his butt. 0.99
00:37:24.000 You should have your own magical X-chair. 0.99

00:37:47.000 First, if you're a fan of my colleague Matt Walsh, you're going to want to hear this.
00:37:50.000 The Daily Wire host and former Virginia resident has just written his first children's book.
00:37:54.000 I've read it more than once.
00:37:55.000 I can tell you it's a very important piece of literature you're going to want on your kid's shelf.
00:38:00.000 Matt will be launching his book tonight on Tucker Carlson's show.
00:38:03.000 You're not going to want to miss it.
00:38:04.000 It is a vital read for all small children.
00:38:07.000 Tune in tonight to Fox News at 8 p.m.
00:38:09.000 Eastern, 7 p.m.

00:38:12.000 Also, remember today, TODAY, the last day to get 50% off your Dailyware membership by using code DW50.
00:38:19.000 We need your support here at Dailyware because we are fighting, and we need you to join the fight with us.

00:38:35.000 It's that time of year. 1.00
00:38:36.000 But also, we have a bunch of amazing content.
00:38:38.000 We have a lot of projects in the queue for 2022.
00:38:40.000 We need more members to make all of that possible.
00:38:43.000 Members are what gave us the ability to pick up Gina Carano after Disney Plus decided to basically just cap her.
00:38:49.000 And we picked her up.
00:38:50.000 We were able to do a movie with her.
00:38:52.000 It is going to be released next year.
00:38:53.000 We are super pumped about that.
00:38:54.000 We're able to launch our investigative journalism team that made a huge difference in Loudoun County and in that Virginia gubernatorial race.
00:38:59.000 We are currently embroiled in a lawsuit with the Biden administration directly over their garbage vax mandate.
00:39:04.000 You can help us out.
00:39:05.000 Today is the last day, the last day, to get our best membership deal of the year.
00:39:09.000 Use code DW50 for 50% Okay, so Joe Biden's big move is to do exactly what Donald Trump did, but not xenophobically.
00:39:30.000 He's going to do a travel ban.
00:39:31.000 And that's supposed to fix everything.
00:39:33.000 Here is the problem.
00:39:36.000 It's not going to work.
00:39:37.000 And the reason it's not going to work is because it's already seeded here.
00:39:40.000 So the Biden administration is trying to double down on boosters at this point.
00:39:45.000 Again, the data on Omicron is not sufficient to say that a 30-year-old needs a booster shot at this point.
00:39:52.000 Fauci said it is conceivable, if not likely, that booster shots will provide at least a partial shield of protection against the new variant.
00:39:58.000 He did not cite any data to explain why he said that that is the case.
00:40:03.000 Also, the experts are saying, yeah, by the way, these travel Bans are not really going to do anything.
00:40:11.000 Fauci has said it is highly unlikely the vaccines offer no protection against the new variant.
00:40:15.000 The WHO says it's working with a large number of researchers around the world to understand the impact Omicron would have on existing vaccines and antivirals.
00:40:24.000 So they don't even know what this thing does to the vaccine at this point.
00:40:28.000 And they're like, well, what if we just keep shooting you full of more vaccine?
00:40:32.000 How about we find out what it does first?
00:40:34.000 I know it's kind of crazy to suggest that maybe we should be guided by data as opposed to just like randomly jabbing people at this point.
00:40:40.000 Again, I'm very pro vaccine, but I like data also, and you've provided me no data, sir.
00:40:45.000 So this is unhelpful as far as the travel bans.
00:40:47.000 So Joe Biden, remember, not a xenophobe.
00:40:50.000 He's not.
00:40:51.000 He's a different old white guy than the last old white guy. 0.81
00:40:53.000 He is not xenophobic.
00:40:54.000 So Fauci comes out.
00:40:55.000 He's like, yeah, maybe it's already here, which is awkward for us a little.
00:41:00.000 Is it possible it's already in the U.S.?
00:41:04.000 You know, of course, anything is possible.
00:41:07.000 We don't know that.
00:41:08.000 There's no indication that it is right now.
00:41:11.000 It seemed to have been restricted.
00:41:13.000 There were some cases that originated in South Africa and that went to Botswana and people who traveled And found out they were infected, and one that had gone actually to Hong Kong.
00:41:25.000 So there's a lot of travel, you never know exactly where it are, and that's the reason why we're getting together to them to try and get the precise molecular makeup of it, so you could actually test for it.
00:41:37.000 Okay, meanwhile, Fauci is trying to- so he's saying it's probably already here?
00:41:42.000 And then he's like, oh yeah, but maybe the- maybe the travel bans will buy us some time.
00:41:46.000 Uh, will they?
00:41:47.000 Explain.
00:41:49.000 You know, it will slow things down, George.
00:41:51.000 Travel bans, when you have a highly transmissible virus, never completely would get the virus to prevent it from coming into the country.
00:42:01.000 No way that's going to happen.
00:42:02.000 But what you can do is you can delay it enough to get us better prepared.
00:42:08.000 And that's the thing that people need to understand.
00:42:10.000 If you're going to do the travel ban the way we've done now and that we're implementing right now, utilize the time that you're buying to fill in the gaps.
00:42:21.000 Okay, so maybe that's true and maybe it's not.
00:42:24.000 I will say that a travel ban that is geared towards South Africa alone and not toward anybody who has traveled to South Africa or from South Africa and people who have been with those people, like once it's already widely seeded, it's a little bit late for that.
00:42:36.000 But again, it's not xenophobia unless Donald Trump does it, is the rule.
00:42:40.000 Fauci, by the way, again, he just keeps throwing out all of these maybes. 0.88
00:42:43.000 And the maybes are designed to scare the crap out of you.
00:42:45.000 So now he's saying, well, maybe we'll do a VAX mandate to just travel, to get on a plane.
00:42:49.000 Now, again, this is insane.
00:42:51.000 The reason it's insane is because the planes have been like one of the safest places this entire pandemic.
00:42:55.000 They've got the HEPA filters.
00:42:57.000 Planes have not been a central vehicle for transmission of the virus throughout the entire pandemic, which was counter to what a lot of people thought.
00:43:05.000 No evidence was ever provided that if you were on a plane with a lot of other people, that you were more likely to get this than if you were at a crowded grocery store, for example.
00:43:13.000 But Anthony Fauci is now saying maybe we'll force you to get the vax so that you will get on a plane.
00:43:18.000 Come on! 0.61
00:43:20.000 Right now, we hope that people who get vaccinated and who follow the appropriate recommendations, that air travel will continue to be safe.
00:43:29.000 And right now, air travel is.
00:43:31.000 When you say travel in general causes a risk of increased transmission, it's the whole process of traveling, going to the airport, being in an airport in congregate setting, people taking their masks off.
00:43:44.000 That's the issue that we've got to make sure that we adhere to more closely and more firmly.
00:43:51.000 Okay, so in other words, it's not the planes.
00:43:52.000 But we might force you to vax anyway to get on a plane.
00:43:55.000 Because, you know, it's the whole process of travel.
00:43:58.000 Oh, you mean like life?
00:44:00.000 Oh, yeah, it's true.
00:44:01.000 Like, life is a process in which travel is a part.
00:44:04.000 He's like, well, it's not just the travel.
00:44:05.000 It's, you know, you're at the airport and then you're in the car before you go to the airport and then go to Marshall's to pick up a suitcase in order so you can go to the airport.
00:44:11.000 And then when you get off the plane at the airport, you might be hungry.
00:44:14.000 So you go to a restaurant, you pick up some chop suey.
00:44:15.000 Like, what are you talking about?
00:44:17.000 What are you talking about? 0.99
00:44:18.000 Why would you let these Jackasses run your life. 1.00
00:44:21.000 Why? 0.53
00:44:22.000 What evidence have they provided to you that they are good at this?
00:44:24.000 Any?
00:44:24.000 Okay, so Fauci was then asked about representing science because he was saying, look, why are you attacked?
00:44:30.000 Why are you attacked, Dr. Fauci?
00:44:31.000 These are always the questions he's asked by our legacy media.
00:44:34.000 Instead of being asked, why do you shift your opinion every five seconds?
00:44:37.000 Why do you seem to do the bidding of the Biden administration while rolling your eyes during Trump press conferences?
00:44:42.000 Why is it that you're willing to trot out whatever propagandistic line Joe Biden is trotting out today?
00:44:46.000 And why is it that we should listen to you after you've gotten every element of this wrong at some point during the pandemic?
00:44:51.000 You've provided no forecasting ability whatsoever.
00:44:54.000 You haven't even provided diagnostic ability throughout this pandemic.
00:44:58.000 The data you've provided have been counterproductive.
00:45:01.000 You've lost the trust of the American people.
00:45:03.000 Instead of asking actual tough questions, the legacy media are like, why are people so mean to you, Dr. Fauci?
00:45:07.000 Can we make another fawning documentary that shows a picture of you in your home on your computer with a giant poster of you next to you?
00:45:15.000 By the way, that is one I'm never gonna understand.
00:45:18.000 Dead giveaway that somebody is a douchebag is if there is a picture of them in their house with a giant picture of them right next to them. 0.99
00:45:25.000 Dead giveaway you're a douchebag. 0.99
00:45:26.000 We're not talking about a family picture with you and the rest of the members of your family. 1.00
00:45:29.000 We're talking about a portrait of you next to you.
00:45:35.000 That is the douchebag giveaway.
00:45:36.000 Go check out his documentary.
00:45:38.000 It is there.
00:45:39.000 Anyway, here is Dr. Anthony Fauci being asked about why he's criticized.
00:45:42.000 And his answer is, of course, because he is science.
00:45:45.000 He is.
00:45:46.000 Like Emperor Palpatine is the Senate.
00:45:48.000 He is the science.
00:45:51.000 If they get up and criticize science, nobody's gonna know what they're talking about.
00:45:55.000 But if they get up and really aim their bullets at Tony Fauci, well, people could recognize there's a person there, so it's easy to criticize.
00:46:04.000 But they're really criticizing science, because I represent science.
00:46:09.000 That's dangerous.
00:46:10.000 To me, that's more dangerous than the slings and the arrows they get thrown at me.
00:46:16.000 Okay, so I have a question.
00:46:17.000 When you criticize Jay Bhattacharya from Stanford, when you criticize Marty Makary from Johns Hopkins University, when you criticize Scott Atlas from Stanford, when you criticize all those people, are you attacking the science?
00:46:29.000 Or are you just attacking a particular scientific perspective on the data?
00:46:32.000 Why is it that only Anthony Fauci is the science?
00:46:34.000 Why is he the voice of science?
00:46:36.000 He's bad at this.
00:46:37.000 He's just bad at this.
00:46:38.000 Okay, and then he's asked specifically about the idea of being prosecutor.
00:46:42.000 Okay, so there have been a lot of Republicans, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, who've suggested that Anthony Fauci lied to them about gain-of-function research in Wuhan, which he kind of did.
00:46:50.000 The way that he has avoided the actual perjury question is by redefining gain-of-function.
00:46:56.000 Okay, gain-of-function typically means, according to Anthony Fauci, that you increase the transmissibility of a virus within a species.
00:47:02.000 It doesn't mean that you make a virus transmissible across species.
00:47:05.000 And that is a really formal definition of gain-of-function research.
00:47:08.000 That does not meet the smell test.
00:47:10.000 But that's what Anthony Fauci's been relying upon.
00:47:11.000 So Rand Paul and Ted Cruz have been going after him.
00:47:13.000 And Anthony Fauci is asked about this.
00:47:15.000 And he gets super pissed and then cackles like a Bond villain here.
00:47:19.000 Senator Cruz told the Attorney General you should be prosecuted.
00:47:22.000 Yeah.
00:47:25.000 I have to laugh at that.
00:47:28.000 I should be prosecuted.
00:47:30.000 What happened on January 6th, Senator?
00:47:33.000 Do you think that this is about making you a scapegoat to deflect from President Trump?
00:47:39.000 Of course.
00:47:41.000 You have to be asleep not to figure that one out.
00:47:43.000 Well, there are a lot of Republican senators taking aim at this.
00:47:49.000 That's OK.
00:47:50.000 I'm just going to do my job and I'm going to be saving lives and they're going to be lying.
00:47:56.000 I'm going to be saving, OK, how many lives has Anthony Fauci saved?
00:48:00.000 Really?
00:48:02.000 How many?
00:48:04.000 Also, my favorite is humorless laughs.
00:48:06.000 Humorless laughs are some of my favorites.
00:48:07.000 So when you're asked a question, and you don't like the question, and so you just sort of laugh, but there's no laughter in the eyes, that's my favorite kind of political laughter.
00:48:14.000 Kamala Harris is really good at it.
00:48:15.000 That's the one where you like laugh, and it's like this.
00:48:16.000 this. Love that from Anthony Fauci. What about January?
00:48:27.000 What about January 6th?
00:48:27.000 The hell are you talking about?
00:48:28.000 We're talking about whether you lied about gain-of-function research in Wuhan and whether you suck at your job. 1.00
00:48:32.000 That's what we're talking about right now. 0.98
00:48:34.000 What the hell does that have to do with Trump? 0.80
00:48:35.000 What a political hack he is.
00:48:37.000 Remember that time when he was not a political hack or was supposed to not be?
00:48:39.000 Yeah, he's a political hack.
00:48:41.000 But we should always listen to these people.
00:48:42.000 They're the experts.
00:48:43.000 Remember, they've provided you no data that Omicron is more deadly or that it will lead to your hospitalization.
00:48:49.000 They've provided no data.
00:48:50.000 The vaccines don't stand up to Omicron.
00:48:52.000 They've provided no data whatsoever that natural immunity doesn't provide any protection against hospitalization or death from Omicron.
00:48:58.000 But listen to them, because they will laugh at you if not, and they are the science.
00:49:02.000 If you fall for this one, honestly, we're a civilization that gets what we deserve if we have decided to worship at the altar of idols like Anthony Fauci rather than looking at actual hard data that they refuse to provide.
00:49:13.000 All right.
