00:00:45.000 Well, before we get to all of the breaking news, and there is plenty of breaking news, let's talk about a simple fact.

00:00:50.000 If you're not protecting your online data, you are not doing it right.

00:00:52.000 You need to protect your online data.

00:00:54.000 Well, why should you care about encrypting your online data?

00:00:56.000 It's often easy for a hacker to bypass Wi-Fi security and steal your information, which is why I use ExpressVPN to stay secure online.

00:01:03.000 And it's hard to know whether your device or your network is vulnerable.

00:01:06.000 If you ever use a Wi-Fi in a public place, you're sending data over an open network, meaning no encryption at all.

00:01:10.000 The best way to ensure your data is encrypted and can't be read by hackers, check out ExpressVPN the way that I do.

00:01:15.000 It's really easy.

00:01:16.000 Just download the ExpressVPN app on your computer or smartphone, tap one button to secure 100% of your network data, and then use the internet the way you normally would.

00:01:24.000 ExpressVPN is incredibly reliable.

00:01:25.000 It is the fastest VPN service I have tried.

00:01:28.000 So, if you want the best in online security and privacy protection, head on over to expressvpn.com slash Ben for three extra months with a one year package.

00:01:36.000 Protect your internet today with the VPN I trust to keep my data safe.

00:01:39.000 Again, that's expressvpn.com slash Ben to get started.

00:01:42.000 Expressvpn.com slash Ben, go check them out right now.

00:01:46.000 Again, expressvpn.com slash Ben, get three extra months free with a one year package.

00:01:51.000 Go check them out right now.

00:01:53.000 The people I trust, you should trust them as well.

00:01:55.000 Okay, so over the weekend, we saw this horrific event in Compton, which of course is one of the most crime-ridden areas Los Angeles has been for decades at this point, in which a man walked up to a police vehicle and essentially attempted to murder two police officers.

00:02:15.000 I mean, that's all this is.

00:02:16.000 I mean, police officers shot point-blank range in the face, and then protesters tried to block the hospital.

00:02:24.000 Here is the story via Fox News.

00:02:27.000 Protesters reportedly shouting slogans like death to the police showed up to the LA area hospital treating two law enforcement officers who were ambushed and shot on Saturday.

00:02:36.000 The LA County sheriffs said. 0.97

00:02:37.000 said to the protesters blocking the entrance and exit of the hospital emergency room, yelling, we hope they die.

00:02:42.000 Referring to two LA sheriffs ambushed today in Compton, do not block emergency entries and exits to the hospital.

00:02:47.000 People's lives are at stake when ambulances can't get through.

00:02:49.000 Okay, here is the basic rule here.

00:02:51.000 If in fact you block an ambulance trying to get into a hospital because you are a human piece of debris, the ambulance should just run you over.

00:03:00.000 Okay, if you have like a second to get out of the way, if you are purposefully putting yourself in front of an ambulance that is attempting to ship somebody who is injured and requires life-saving medical attention, and you block the ambulance, they should just assume that you don't care about your life because obviously you don't.

00:03:15.000 You don't care about the person's life inside of the ambulance.

00:03:17.000 You don't get to block ambulances.

00:03:20.000 A local faith leader who's at the hospital told the KABC reporter the protesters tried to then break into the emergency room.

00:03:26.000 Here's one of the local faith leaders explaining to ABC7 and KABC exactly what these quote-unquote protesters were saying as they unloaded the gurneys with the near corpses of two L.A.

00:03:38.000 Sheriff's deputies, one of whom was a 31-year-old mother and the other of whom was a 24-year-old rookie.

00:03:44.000 They were saying death to the police, kill the police, and they were using all type of curse words and derogatory terms about the police, just provoking our police officers.

00:03:58.000 Unacceptable behavior because the hospital should be a sanctuary where, you know, we should leave hospitals alone.

00:04:07.000 Well, yes, leave hospitals.

00:04:08.000 How about this? 1.00

00:04:09.000 How about don't be a piece of crap who celebrates the attempted murder of two police officers? 1.00

00:04:14.000 Again, the video is absolutely insane. 1.00

00:04:16.000 It was taken by security footage nearby.

00:04:19.000 And you can see what appears to be a Young, I mean, I assume this is a, it looks like a person who is minority, but it's kind of far away, but you can see sort of the color. 0.59

00:04:29.000 A person walks up to the cop car and takes two shots inside the car and shoots the jaw off of the female police officer who then had to call for medical attention. 0.97

00:04:40.000 The reaction by people nearby is absolutely insane and confirms a simple fact. 0.94

00:04:45.000 When you spend years promulgating the lie that the police are systemically racist and out to harm black people, And then, the result is that people run around shooting cops, taking potshots at cops, resisting arrest, spray-painting businesses with, all cops are bad, ACAB. 0.84

00:05:02.000 That is a predictable result of the philosophy that the police are systemically racist. 0.54

00:05:05.000 There have been times in American history where the police are, in fact, systemically racist.

00:05:09.000 And the way that you can tell they are systemically racist is because you can name the actual system of racism.

00:05:13.000 You can point out the policy they are implementing.

00:05:15.000 You can point out the police practices that are, in fact, racist.

00:05:18.000 But when you label something systemically racist without naming the practice, without naming the law, without explaining how the process produces the racism, you just say that they're racist.

00:05:27.000 It's just out there.

00:05:29.000 In the air, then anybody who's complicit with that system is part of the racism.

00:05:33.000 And if anybody who is part of the system is a racist, well then all cops are bad by nature.

00:05:37.000 That is the logical endpoint of a philosophy that suggests that the police are systemically racist without requiring you to present any evidence other than disparity.

00:05:45.000 Because not all disparity is discrimination.

00:05:47.000 It is not.

00:05:48.000 Well, the predictable result of that is people were literally celebrating in the streets after two officers were nearly murdered in Compton. 0.99

00:05:56.000 Here is a video of one of these pieces of crap celebrating the shooting. 0.99

00:06:01.000 Video of a man and a woman in a car. 1.00

00:06:18.000 God, that's crazy.

00:06:20.000 They just got aired out.

00:06:23.000 Somebody ran up on the car and bust on it.

00:06:26.000 Right through the window, in the face and on.

00:06:30.000 How delightful.

00:06:32.000 How delightful.

00:06:33.000 What a wonderful culture we've created in this country with regard to the police officers.

00:06:38.000 How incredible.

00:06:39.000 How incredible.

00:06:40.000 And there was video of protesters attempting to enter the hospital grounds, we say.

00:06:43.000 People attempting to break into the hospital, presumably to prevent medical attention from being performed on the police officers, who literally were just sitting there.

00:06:50.000 Okay, this was not even a case where the police were in some sort of confrontation with a criminal suspect.

00:06:54.000 The police were literally just sitting there in their car and they were assassinated.

00:06:58.000 Thank God they're not dead.

00:06:59.000 They were in critical condition.

00:07:01.000 I believe they're out of surgery at this point.

00:07:02.000 But people were trying to break into the hospital.

00:07:04.000 It was really, really charming.

00:07:07.000 We are out here at St.

00:07:08.000 Francis Hospital, where two of America's most notorious gang members have been brought to.

00:07:16.000 We're going to go up here and just check on these murderers right here.

00:07:22.000 We're down here.

00:07:23.000 Excuse me?

00:07:24.000 No, we're coming to visit someone.

00:07:25.000 No, you're not.

00:07:26.000 We can't go visit nobody?

00:07:27.000 You can once we confirm who it is, but there's no visitation allowed anyway, so you gotta go.

00:07:31.000 All right, y'all, you see what's happening right here, right? 0.98

00:07:34.000 They got these pigs out here. 1.00

00:07:37.000 Okay, literally this guy is describing these police officers as pigs. 1.00

00:07:41.000 They are all women of minority descent. 0.98

00:07:43.000 You can see it in the video.

00:07:44.000 It doesn't matter.

00:07:45.000 Because understand, from the philosophy of all, cops are bad. 0.95

00:07:49.000 And the cops are systemically racist. 0.97

00:07:50.000 Once you join the cops, you are no longer black. 1.00

00:07:53.000 You are no longer Hispanic. 0.99

00:07:54.000 Your status as a person of color is now called into question.

00:07:57.000 Because after all, you have joined the system of oppression.

00:08:01.000 Saying over and over and over again that a system is systemically racist, again, without evidence, without naming the policy that needs to be changed, without explaining which officers are bad or which people in charge are the problem.

00:08:13.000 Doing that implicates everybody who is involved in that system.

00:08:17.000 There is no excuse for this sort of immoral behavior.

00:08:21.000 Yet this has become a Democratic talking point.

00:08:23.000 It has.

00:08:25.000 This doesn't mean that Democrats are responsible for people going and shooting cops.

00:08:29.000 It doesn't.

00:08:29.000 I've never been of the belief system.

00:08:31.000 That if you say something that is not an explicit call for violence, and then someone goes and performs violence, this is your fault.

00:08:37.000 But if we are worried about raising the temperature, if we are worried about the way that words are used by people in order to justify their actions, and if you are worried about a rising tide of crime and anti-police sentiment, and then you forward that sort of thing, Then you are complicit in the broader message, and the broader message is a lie, it is bad, and it does incentivize people to violence.

00:08:58.000 So does that mean that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are responsible for what happened in Compton?

00:09:02.000 No, it doesn't mean they're responsible for what happened in Compton any more than Bernie Sanders is responsible for what happened at the congressional baseball game, or any more than Donald Trump has been blamed for what happened at the El Paso Walmart.

00:09:12.000 That's not the way this works.

00:09:13.000 If you haven't explicitly called for violence, you are not to blame.

00:09:16.000 But, if you do not bring down the temperature, and if you promulgate lies that result in police officers being targeted, maybe you ought to examine your own ideology. 0.99

00:09:25.000 Maybe you ought to examine your own garbage philosophy, because this is garbage, okay? 0.99

00:09:29.000 It is garbage to suggest that the police, broadly speaking, across the United States are systemically racist. 1.00

00:09:33.000 The evidence to that effect is zero. 0.98

00:09:35.000 It is zero.

00:09:36.000 There is no evidence that the police are systemically racist.

00:09:39.000 Even if you want to make the claim that the police are systemically too brutal, that they use excessive police force too much, that is a problem of police brutality.

00:09:48.000 That would not necessarily be a problem of racism.

00:09:51.000 In fact, in these major American cities, most major American cities that have a heavy minority population, the police force is plurality or majority minority.

00:10:00.000 But that doesn't matter.

00:10:01.000 Again, once you are implicated in the quote-unquote system, then you're a part of the racist system.

00:10:05.000 This all is the predictable result of the Imbra Max Kendi, Robin DiAngelo, Stokely Carmichael recasting of racism from, you have to identify a person who judges people on the basis of race, or a policy that segregates people on the basis of race, or separates people or treats people differently on the basis of race.

00:10:23.000 Two, a philosophy of racism that suggests that any system that results in a disparity of outcome is itself racist, and anybody complicit in that system is a racist as well by definition.

00:10:33.000 The result of that is all cops are bad.

00:10:35.000 You cannot philosophically separate the police are systemically racist, when you won't name the racist policy or the racist person, from all cops are bad.

00:10:44.000 Because who's the good person working within the racist system?

00:10:47.000 Who's the good person?

00:10:49.000 It isn't the minority police chiefs, who by the way have been resigning en masse.

00:10:52.000 We have the minority police chief in Seattle, out.

00:10:54.000 We have the minority police chief in Dallas, out.

00:10:56.000 We have the minority police chief in Rochester, out.

00:10:59.000 This sort of stuff is happening all across the country.

00:11:02.000 And as we'll see, people have been willing to overlook the fact that the police have been systemically targeted across the country by BLM.

00:11:11.000 They have.

00:11:12.000 And BLM does not give a damn about the facts.

00:11:13.000 They don't care about the facts of any individual case.

00:11:15.000 They're not interested in alleviating police brutality.

00:11:18.000 They're not.

00:11:18.000 They're interested in a narrative.

00:11:19.000 The narrative is that all cops are bad.

00:11:21.000 That is the BLM slogan.

00:11:24.000 To pretend anything else doesn't mean everybody marching with BLM knew that was the slogan.

00:11:28.000 But to separate off All Cops Are Bad from the BLM messaging is a lie.

00:11:33.000 And the way you can tell it's a lie is because it doesn't matter what the situation is, BLM will provoke protests and riots based on any situation whatsoever involving a police officer and a minority suspect.

00:11:43.000 It doesn't matter what the circumstances surrounding it are.

00:11:46.000 We'll talk about this more in just one second.

00:11:50.000 Let's cool down for a second.

00:11:51.000 Let's talk about how you can make your house look better.

00:11:53.000 So you're spending more time than ever in your house.

00:11:57.000 You literally cannot go outside.

00:11:58.000 The way that it works on the West Coast is because of COVID, you're not allowed to go outdoors to another place.

00:12:03.000 Like you can't go to a restaurant or museum or anything.

00:12:05.000 And then you can't go outside outside because the air quality is terrible.

00:12:08.000 So you're in your house all day long staring at those ugly blinds.

00:12:11.000 Well, now that you're staring at those ugly blinds, now that I've told you about that, maybe you want to replace those ugly blinds with something much nicer.

00:13:15.000 See how much you can save when you go to blinds.com and at checkout, mention that you heard it on the Ben Shapiro Show.

00:13:21.000 Okay, so.

00:13:22.000 The situation in Compton, unfortunately, is not an outlier.

00:13:29.000 What we've seen, according to ABC News, okay?

00:13:31.000 Remember, these are mainstream media sources.

00:13:34.000 They're not coming from right-wing sources.

00:13:36.000 As of July 22nd, okay?

00:13:38.000 So July 22nd is several months ago.

00:13:40.000 Police officers who had been killed this year surged 28%.

00:13:43.000 28%.

00:13:43.000 This is according to ABC News, July 22nd, okay?

00:13:48.000 So now we're going back approximately two full months.

00:13:53.000 For having gotten a taste for public service while in the U.S.

00:13:55.000 Coast Guard, said ABC News, Jonathan Shoup joined the police force looking for a career he was passionate about after managing delivery teams for Amazon for nearly five years, his brother said.

00:14:03.000 For 405 days, the 32-year-old Shoup, according to his brother, lived what he realized was his calling in life as a member of the Bothell Washington Police Department.

00:14:11.000 He became the 32nd U.S.

00:14:12.000 law enforcement officer shot to death this year on July 13, marking a 28 percent jump in felonious officer deaths over the same period in 2019.

00:14:20.000 We have seen a serious jump in the murder of police officers over the course of the year, particularly since the George Floyd protests began.

00:14:29.000 As of September 11th, 37 law enforcement officers have been reportedly feloniously killed in 2020.

00:14:36.000 That is an increase, a pretty significant increase.

00:14:41.000 33 law enforcement Officers were killed total, were non-feloniously killed in 2020, or accidentally killed in 2020.

00:14:51.000 This is according to the FBI.

00:14:53.000 Eight were victims of an ambush, entrapment, and premeditation.

00:14:56.000 Two were victim of an unprovoked attack.

00:15:01.000 So, just good stuff happening all across the country.

00:15:04.000 In totality, by the way, more than 700 police officers were injured in the George Floyd protests across the United States.

00:15:10.000 That was just as of early June.

00:15:12.000 June 8th, 2020, New York Post.

00:15:14.000 More than 700 officers injured in George Floyd protests across the United States, which probably means that thousands of officers have now been injured across the country.

00:15:22.000 And you can just see it in the headlines.

00:15:24.000 You can see, in Chicago, July 21st, 49 police officers injured.

00:15:28.000 August 15th, 2020, Chicago, 17 police officers injured.

00:15:32.000 June 2nd, 2020, LA, 20 police officers injured.

00:15:35.000 July 26th, 2020, LA, 4 police officers injured.

00:15:38.000 July 5th, 2020, Portland, several officers injured.

00:15:41.000 August 20th, 2020, Portland, 2 officers were injured after mortars were used.

00:15:45.000 July 15th, 2020, Three police officers were injured.

00:15:49.000 Sirius had injuries.

00:15:50.000 The chief of the department had broken fingers.

00:15:52.000 August 9th, 2020, Newsbreak reported more than 100 officers were injured in protests.

00:15:57.000 So we're talking about thousands of police officers over the last couple of months who have been injured or, and a few dozen killed.

00:16:07.000 connected with the rise in crime that we've seen across the country.

00:16:09.000 Now, not all those police officers who were killed were killed as a result directly of BLM or the riots.

00:16:15.000 But when you lead to an upswing in crime, and when you continue to say over and over and over that the cops are racist, there is a predictable result to that.

00:16:23.000 There is, in fact, a predictable result to that.

00:16:26.000 So how have Democrats dealt with all of this?

00:16:28.000 Well, they've continued to maintain the narrative, of course.

00:16:31.000 So Eric Garcetti, the LA mayor, he said these attacks are abhorrent.

00:16:35.000 You'll notice something in the Democratic response to this.

00:16:37.000 They'll say the attacks are abhorrent.

00:16:38.000 At no point will they say our police are not systemically racist.

00:16:40.000 At no point will they actually defend the cops.

00:16:42.000 That's just not a thing they will bother to do.

00:16:44.000 They're not going to bother defending the police officers.

00:16:45.000 Instead, they'll make vague statements about how violence is bad.

00:16:48.000 Now, I'm old enough to remember when this was considered insufficient.

00:16:52.000 I'm old enough to remember when it was considered absolutely insufficient to suggest that all violence was bad.

00:16:59.000 You had to ideologically condemn the philosophy that lay behind violence.

00:17:04.000 This was, in fact, what Joe Biden said was his leading cause in life after Charlottesville.

00:17:09.000 But it turns out that if you're Joe Biden, you can simply elide the philosophy of the people who are doing the assassination attempts and the widespread rioting and the looting.

00:17:17.000 You can simply elide it.

00:17:18.000 Simply by pretending that all... I covered it under the rubric of all violence is bad.

00:17:24.000 Which is pretty astonishing stuff.

00:17:26.000 We're going to get to the Democratic response to this in just one second.

00:17:28.000 First, let's talk about how time-consuming and challenging hiring can be.

00:17:33.000 When Daily Wire was small, it was hard enough.

00:17:35.000 Now that Daily Wire is very large, it is very, very difficult to find the right person for our position because we really need to do a lot of pre-selection.

00:17:41.000 Well, what helps us with that pre-selection?

00:17:43.000 ZipRecruiter.

00:17:43.000 ZipRecruiter will send your job to over 100 of the web's leading job sites, but they don't stop there.

00:17:48.000 With their powerful matching technology, ZipRecruiter scans thousands of resumes to find people with the right experience and then actively invites them to apply to your job.

00:17:55.000 ZipRecruiter makes hiring efficient and effective with features like screening questions to filter candidates and an all-in-one dashboard where you can review and rate your candidates.

00:18:02.000 ZipRecruiter is so effective that four out of five employers who post on ZipRecruiter get a quality candidate within the very first day.

00:18:08.000 If you're looking to hire somebody or if you're looking to get hired, ZipRecruiter is indispensable.

00:18:12.000 Like, let's say that you had a producer, let's call him Nick for the sake of argument, who just randomly decided to take two weeks off to go hunting wolves in the woods in the middle of a wildfire or something.

00:18:20.000 You might think, well, you could probably find somebody better to be a producer than a person who goes and whittles in the woods in the middle of a wildfire.

00:18:26.000 And then you might check out ZipRecruiter.

00:18:27.000 Right now, try ZipRecruiter for free by going to ZipRecruiter.com slash DailyWire.

00:18:31.000 That is ZipRecruiter.com slash D-A-I-L-Y-W-I-R-E.

00:18:34.000 ZipRecruiter.com slash DailyWire.

00:18:36.000 Go check them out right now.

00:18:37.000 ZipRecruiter is indeed the smartest way to hire. 0.73

00:18:40.000 So how have Democrats responded to this latest assassination attempt?

00:18:44.000 So Eric Garcetti, the L.A.

00:18:46.000 mayor, who's in charge of the police department, here's his response.

00:18:50.000 There's no place in civilized society for anybody to draw an arm and to shoot our law enforcement officers that put their lives on the line.

00:18:58.000 And I won't ever let a couple voices that not only are uncalled for, but it's abhorrent to say something like that when we have two deputies who are sheriff deputies in grave condition.

00:19:08.000 This is a country in which that sort of behavior is unacceptable, abhorrent, and we do pray that these folks will recover, and I hope that everybody listening today will unify around that.

00:19:18.000 Okay, well, that's at least better than what Joe Biden had to say, right?

00:19:20.000 Notice he still won't say anything about BLM.

00:19:23.000 But here is the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris statement.

00:19:25.000 You ready for this?

00:19:26.000 Because it's kind of long.

00:19:27.000 Jill and I were devastated to learn of the cold-blooded shooting of two L.A.

00:19:30.000 County deputies yesterday, as well as the horrific death of Deputy Ryan Hendricks, a Marine veteran and police officer killed in the line of duty in Henderson County, North Carolina.

00:19:37.000 These attacks are absolutely unconscionable.

00:19:39.000 They bring only greater violence, injustice, and grief to a nation in desperate need of healing.

00:19:44.000 Oh, only greater violence is it?

00:19:45.000 Uh-huh.

00:19:46.000 Oh, that, that, ah, yes, I see.

00:19:48.000 Brave officers who pin on the shield carry a sacred responsibility and make an extraordinary sacrifice.

00:19:52.000 Just as they owe it to the American people to protect and serve with honor, restraint and accountability, Americans owe it to them to lessen the needless danger of their inherently dangerous jobs.

00:20:02.000 Active lawlessness and violence directed against police officers are unacceptable, outrageous, and entirely counterproductive to the pursuit of greater peace and justice in America.

00:20:09.000 This is Biden and Harris trying to prop up the systemic police racism narrative at the same time that they mourn the shooting of these police officers.

00:20:17.000 It's more difficult for us to affect change when people are shooting police officers.

00:20:20.000 You see, it's bad that people shoot people.

00:20:23.000 And it's also bad that you're attempting to block our ability to create change within police departments.

00:20:29.000 At no point here, does Joe Biden or Kamala Harris, at no point will they say, we need to stop calling our police systemically racist.

00:20:36.000 At no point will they say that, because that is their narrative.

00:20:38.000 Instead, the big problem here, politically speaking, is not people who keep claiming that the police are a bunch of racists, and that the system is inherently racist, and that anybody who joins up with that system is inherently racist.

00:20:49.000 At no point will they stop making that claim.

00:20:50.000 Instead, what they will do is they will say, yeah, but if you shoot the cops, it makes it hard for us to really make the argument about how the police need systemic change.

00:20:59.000 Jill and I are keeping these deputies and their loved ones in our hearts and are praying for a full recovery for the two L.A.

00:21:03.000 deputies now fighting for their lives.

00:21:06.000 Now, this sort of language, of course, is nothing new.

00:21:08.000 Way back when, during the Obama administration, there were six Dallas police officers who were murdered by a person associated with the Black Lives Matter movement.

00:21:15.000 They were shot in cold blood.

00:21:16.000 in Dallas and the President of the United States also pooh-poohed the association with Black Lives Matter ideology, of course. Because again, the narrative matters far more than the actual consequences of the narrative. If you keep saying over and over and over for the final time, if you keep saying over and over and over that police departments across the country are systemically racist, and then you can't name a policy that you would change. In fact, you block any attempt at political change. Not only that, but whenever there's an incident involving the police, you chalk it up to police racism, even when it is

00:21:46.000 obviously not police racism.

00:21:48.000 When you do all of that, what you are actively suggesting is that anyone who works with the police is complicit in systemic racism and therefore bears guilt for the systemically racist system.

00:21:57.000 That is the claim that you are making.

00:21:59.000 And in fact, this is the claim that Joe Biden has repeatedly made.

00:22:02.000 Joe Biden has made that claim over and over and over.

00:22:04.000 That doesn't mean that he's responsible for cops getting shot.

00:22:06.000 It does mean that he is responsible for forwarding a movement That does drive people toward an anti-police perspective, the fringes of which will be violent.

00:22:16.000 That is what that means.

00:22:18.000 And by the way, undercuts the policing in areas that actually need policing.

00:22:21.000 What we've seen in Minneapolis is that criminals are just not being arrested.

00:22:25.000 You're gonna see the same thing in L.A., in D.C., in New York, and the predictable increase in crime is going to fall largely in minority high-crime areas.

00:22:33.000 This is backed by science, by the way.

00:22:34.000 Roland Fryer has done studies suggesting that when there's a high-profile police-involved shooting in any city, immediately following that, there's a tremendous rise in murder in those cities, and those murders disproportionately affect minority communities.

00:22:46.000 Okay, the Democrats know exactly what they're doing at this point.

00:22:48.000 The narrative matters more than human life.

00:22:50.000 The narrative matters more than the truth about the police.

00:22:53.000 The narrative matters more than anything, because they can make political hay out of it by saying over and over and over that the system is racist.

00:23:00.000 Here is Joe Biden, June 10th, saying absolutely there's systemic racism in law enforcement.

00:23:05.000 Do you believe there is systemic racism in law enforcement?

00:23:09.000 Absolutely.

00:23:10.000 But it's not just in law enforcement, it's across the board.

00:23:13.000 It's in housing, it's in education, it's in everything we do.

00:23:17.000 It's real.

00:23:18.000 It's genuine.

00:23:19.000 It's serious.

00:23:20.000 Look, not all law enforcement officers are racist.

00:23:23.000 My lord, there's some really good, good cops out there.

00:23:26.000 But the way in which it works right now, we've seen too many examples of it.

00:23:31.000 Okay, that is the most useless statement in the world.

00:23:34.000 Sure, there are some good cops, but the system itself is bad.

00:23:37.000 Okay, this is the precise polar opposite of the truth, which is that there are some good cops, there are some bad cops, but the system overall is good.

00:23:46.000 If you say the system overall is good and there are some bad cops, that means we can target the bad cops for removal.

00:23:50.000 If there are some good cops, but the system overall is bad, that means the minute you pin on that shield, the minute you put on the blue uniform, you are now part of the bad system.

00:23:59.000 This is the difference between saying that there is an entire system There's an entire Nazi system out there.

00:24:06.000 And there are a few good Germans in that Nazi system. 0.63

00:24:08.000 But overall, the system's really bad.

00:24:10.000 And saying, well, you know, today, you know, in Germany, there are probably some neo-Nazis out there, but entirely, the German society is not Nazi.

00:24:16.000 That's the difference.

00:24:17.000 There's a polar opposite difference in how you're approaching the problem.

00:24:21.000 And each system of ideas have consequences.

00:24:24.000 Ideas have consequences.

00:24:26.000 Joe Biden has maintained this perspective for a long time. 0.94

00:24:28.000 He said same weekend, June 10th, he said, for too long, black Americans have lived with a knee on their neck, a knee on their neck.

00:24:36.000 And then he talks about systemic racism.

00:24:39.000 And then I mentioned last week, he put out an ad that begins by suggesting that black Americans wake up every day believing they are in danger of losing their lives due to their skin color.

00:24:49.000 This was a Biden ad put out last week.

00:24:51.000 And then you are shocked when the police end up targeted?

00:24:54.000 In minority communities, you end up shocked by this?

00:24:56.000 Here's the Biden-Harris ad.

00:24:59.000 Why in this nation do black Americans wake up knowing that they can lose their life in the course of just living their life?

00:25:06.000 Part of the point of freedom is to be free from brutality, from injustice, from racism.

00:25:12.000 Now is the time for racial justice.

00:25:15.000 I believe with every fiber in my being.

00:25:18.000 Black Americans should not wake up in America believing they are in existential danger of being murdered because they're not.

00:25:24.000 They're not.

00:25:25.000 They're not factually in existential danger of being murdered in the United States and certainly not by the police.

00:25:30.000 Certainly not by the police.

00:25:31.000 Okay, but once you back the narrative, you gotta go all the way.

00:25:34.000 And that's what BLM does.

00:25:35.000 This is why BLM is a scurrilous movement.

00:25:38.000 Because BLM does not care about the fact.

00:25:40.000 BLM is not interested in distinguishing individual instances of racism or even in identifying racist policy.

00:25:45.000 All they're interested in is tearing down systems.

00:25:47.000 I'm gonna show you proof positive of this in one second.

00:25:49.000 First, let us talk about the fact that if you got a lot of credit card debt, you can't let that debt continue to rack up.

00:25:54.000 You just cannot do it.

00:25:56.000 Instead, if you're a responsible person, you gotta consolidate that credit card debt, and you gotta get that rate down so you can pay it off.

00:26:01.000 This is why you need LightStream.

00:26:03.000 LightStream's fixed-rate credit card consolidation loans start at 5.95% APR with auto-pay and excellent credit.

00:26:23.000 Here's what one customer had to say.

00:26:24.000 I heard about Lightstream on this podcast.

00:26:26.000 I was able to look on the website, get clear information.

00:26:28.000 The application process was quick and easy.

00:26:30.000 Listen, I've seen people's lives destroyed because they rack up the credit card debt and then they cannot get out of it because they fail to consolidate that debt and lower the rate.

00:26:36.000 I mean, once you get 20% interest rates, you're dead, right?

00:26:39.000 So instead, you should really check out Lightstream.

00:26:59.000 That is LightStream.com slash Shapiro.

00:27:02.000 Go check them out right now.

00:27:04.000 Okay, so does BLM actually care about black lives?

00:27:08.000 Overall, the answer is, unfortunately, no.

00:27:10.000 Because if they cared about black lives, what they would understand is that you need the cops in high crime areas to rid those areas of crime. 0.98

00:27:16.000 But BLM doesn't care about black lives. 0.98

00:27:18.000 BLM doesn't care about cops. 1.00

00:27:19.000 BLM cares about narrative. 1.00

00:27:20.000 The narrative is America's evil. 0.95

00:27:22.000 And America's police are evil.

00:27:24.000 And this is why you see this continuous press forward.

00:27:27.000 Like, I gotta be honest with you.

00:27:29.000 Conservatives are bewildered.

00:27:30.000 Bewildered.

00:27:31.000 And by the way, most rational people should be bewildered by the attempt by BLM to lump in every single police-civilian interaction as an element of systemic racism, no matter the circumstance.

00:27:44.000 It's insane. 0.53

00:27:46.000 It's insane.

00:27:46.000 Like, there are instances of police brutality and apparent racism.

00:27:51.000 If you want to look at apparent racism, the Ahmaud Arbery case, in which allegedly one of the suspects said the N-word, that would be a case of apparent racism, right?

00:27:59.000 I mean, that's a case with some evidence to it.

00:28:01.000 Somebody has testified to that.

00:28:02.000 Okay, the Walter Scott case in South Carolina, in which a black man was shot in the back by a police officer who planted a gun.

00:28:07.000 That is, at the very least, horrific police brutality, for which the guy is serving a first-degree murder charge, and maybe racism.

00:28:15.000 I'm not sure about the racism aspect of the case because I don't know the evidence of the case with regard to racism.

00:28:19.000 Follow the evidence where it goes.

00:28:21.000 And if the evidence supports a particular charge of racism or brutality, then we should talk about the racism or brutality in that particular charge.

00:28:28.000 But instead, you have to understand, the fact must be secondary to the narrative in the case of BLM.

00:28:33.000 Every case must be treated the same because every evil, every evil by an individual is a result of the racist system.

00:28:39.000 It's an attempt to remove responsibility from minority Americans who are committing crimes by suggesting the system is indubitably and always responsible for those crimes. 0.60

00:28:49.000 And the police who go to deal with those crimes are indubitably part of a systemically racist system no matter what they do.

00:28:55.000 Literally no matter what they do.

00:28:57.000 Perfect example, last night in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

00:29:00.000 So last night in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, there was a suspect.

00:29:04.000 Okay, the suspect in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, apparently was a Hispanic man And he charged police officers with a knife.

00:29:13.000 Here's the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office.

00:29:15.000 Okay, here's their description.

00:29:16.000 Then we're going to play you the tape, okay?

00:29:18.000 Because they have body cam footage.

00:29:19.000 The Lancaster County District Attorney's Office is investigating a police-involved shooting Sunday afternoon that resulted in the death of a man.

00:29:25.000 Lancaster City Police responded to a home in the 300 block of Laurel Street about 4.15 p.m.

00:29:30.000 for a reported domestic disturbance.

00:29:32.000 On scene, a Lancaster City Police officer fired at a 27-year-old man who was armed with a knife.

00:29:37.000 The man, identified as Ricardo Munoz, was killed and pronounced dead at the scene.

00:29:40.000 The Lancaster County D.A.' 's office investigates all officer-involved shootings in Lancaster County to determine if force used by police was justified and if a crime occurred.

00:29:48.000 The Lancaster County detectives are continuing to investigate, and D.A.

00:29:51.000 Heather Adams will make a final determination on the use of force upon completion of the investigation.

00:29:56.000 However, we would like to release some information based on a preliminary investigation, which included review of footage from the firing officer's body camera.

00:30:03.000 The footage shows that when the officer gets in front of a residence in the 300 block of Laurel Street, Muñoz immediately engages from inside and runs toward the officer, brandishing a knife above his head in clear view in a threatening manner.

00:30:15.000 The officer then fired.

00:30:16.000 No one else was struck by the gunfire.

00:30:18.000 Here is the actual body cam footage.

00:30:23.000 OK, here comes the suspect.

00:30:24.000 He is charging out the door.

00:30:25.000 The officer attempts to retreat.

00:30:27.000 He attempts to retreat, and Muñoz is coming at him with the knife over his head, charging him.

00:30:33.000 Charging him.

00:30:35.000 As it turns out, by the way, this particular suspect also happens to have been charged with four counts of aggravated assault just a couple of years ago.

00:30:46.000 In fact, on Monday, March 4th, 2019, apparently, this guy was charged with stabbing people.

00:30:53.000 He was holding a knife.

00:30:55.000 Apparently, he saw the officers and held the knife to his own throat.

00:30:58.000 The officers gave commands to him to drop the knife.

00:30:59.000 He didn't comply.

00:31:00.000 He then attempted to climb over a handrail toward the front of a resident.

00:31:04.000 And then they had to use a taser on him.

00:31:07.000 And then they took him into custody.

00:31:09.000 Apparently, there were three adults who'd been injured by this guy involved in stabbing and slashing.

00:31:16.000 So, this is the definition of a justified shooting.

00:31:19.000 This is the definition of a justified police shooting.

00:31:21.000 Did it matter?

00:31:22.000 Of course it didn't matter.

00:31:23.000 There were riots in Lancaster last night.

00:31:25.000 Protests and riots.

00:31:26.000 People smashing police cars.

00:31:28.000 And the police allowing it to happen, by the way. 0.94

00:31:31.000 The police allowing these pathetic specimens of humanity to break apart, smash windows, break the police car, The media's culpability in this is insane. 0.79

00:31:44.000 Here is the headline from NBCPhiladelphia.com. 0.91

00:31:47.000 You ready for the headline in this?

00:31:49.000 Man shot and killed by police in Lancaster.

00:31:51.000 Wow.

00:31:52.000 Conveying zero of the actual relevant information.

00:31:54.000 How about man charging officers while brandishing a knife, shot and killed in Lancaster.

00:32:00.000 Oh, but that would actually dissuade people from rioting, you see.

00:32:04.000 So the protesters gathered in Lancaster.

00:32:07.000 It was protests.

00:32:07.000 Protests gathered in Lancaster.

00:32:09.000 Except for the fact that people started smashing things and gathering to do property damage.

00:32:16.000 The police were forced to use tear gas.

00:32:19.000 The protesters built barricades out of trash cans and street signs.

00:32:24.000 They damaged the post office, so apparently they are very against mail-in balloting as well.

00:32:29.000 According to Priscilla Liguori, reporting for ABC 27, more than 100 people protested in the city last night.

00:32:34.000 Crews have spent the morning cleaning up glass bottles and bricks scattered across the streets.

00:32:37.000 The Lancaster police station has a broken door and windows.

00:32:42.000 So, well done everybody.

00:32:44.000 Here's the thing.

00:32:46.000 It doesn't matter what the facts of the case are.

00:32:47.000 It doesn't matter what the facts of the case are.

00:32:49.000 Okay, which is the definition of people who don't care about truth.

00:32:52.000 If you don't care about the facts of the case, you don't care about truth.

00:32:54.000 You just don't.

00:32:55.000 All you care about is the narrative.

00:32:58.000 One of the chief factors, one of the chief people in pushing narrative above facts would be Benjamin Crump, who's been the attorney for nearly every heavily covered race-based crime case of the last seven years in the United States, going all the way back to the Trayvon Martin case, in which he represented the Trayvon Martin family.

00:33:14.000 Benjamin Crump has an ugly habit of simply lying about things that are happening.

00:33:17.000 It's really, really bad.

00:33:19.000 Okay?

00:33:19.000 Because this is picked up by the media and then treated by people as the true narrative.

00:33:23.000 So, on Friday, the family of George Floyd, via Benjamin Crump, pushed back against accusations levied against George Floyd in court on Friday after lawyers claimed he had taken drugs prior to his fatal encounter with Minneapolis police in May.

00:33:37.000 Defense attorneys for the four officers charged in Floyd's death claimed he'd swallowed fentanyl before his arrest.

00:33:42.000 Okay, now, they don't have to claim it.

00:33:43.000 It's in the autopsy.

00:33:45.000 In every autopsy of George Floyd, every single one has shown he had enough fentanyl in him to kill a horse.

00:33:50.000 He had a lot of fentanyl in him.

00:33:51.000 In fact, medically speaking, it is highly probable that George Floyd did not die from the compression to his neck.

00:33:57.000 It is highly probable that he died instead from the overdose of fentanyl that caused excited delirium, which is an actual medical condition in which, basically, you kind of go crazy and then your heart stops.

00:34:06.000 That is also likely what happened in this case with Daniel Prude up in Rochester, New York.

00:34:10.000 Excited delirium is an actual real medical condition.

00:34:13.000 When you take very heavy doses of serious drugs, it does happen.

00:34:16.000 There have been medical articles about it.

00:34:18.000 I've read them on the air.

00:34:19.000 That doesn't mean that excessive force wasn't used with George Floyd.

00:34:22.000 It does mean it's going to be very hard to get a first or second degree murder conviction in that particular case.

00:34:26.000 OK, but the family of George Floyd goes even further.

00:34:29.000 They say he didn't even have drugs in his system.

00:34:32.000 Ben Crump accused the defense team of blaming the dead, a legal maneuver that flies in the face of what we see with our own eyes on video.

00:34:38.000 Here is here is what Crump said.

00:34:40.000 The only overdose that killed George Floyd was an overdose of excessive force and racism by the Minneapolis Police Department.

00:34:46.000 George was lucid, cooperative, obeyed commands, and had situational awareness when he died.

00:34:52.000 The world witnessed his asphyxiation on video, and now Defense Counsel is asking us to disbelieve our own eyes.

00:34:59.000 Um, I'm sorry, but no.

00:35:01.000 The video shows him not being compliant with police officers.

00:35:04.000 The video shows him, in fact, bucking police officers, asking to be taken out of the car and put on the ground, refusing to get in the car.

00:35:12.000 The video shows that there were other people in the car with him who complied with police officers and were not even arrested.

00:35:17.000 The facts of the case do not matter.

00:35:19.000 They do not matter.

00:35:21.000 This is why it's almost a fool's errand to engage in discussions of the facts of the case, because for people on the BLM side, they actively do not care about the facts of the case.

00:35:29.000 They actively dislike facts of cases.

00:35:32.000 Facts of cases cut against what they are trying to promote, which would actually be solution-oriented, because BLM is not solution-oriented.

00:35:39.000 BLM is problem-oriented, because the only solution they will stand for is tearing down the entire system. 1.00

00:35:46.000 Okay, again, Benjamin Crump has been doing this for a long time.

00:35:49.000 Here's what Benjamin Crump said about Michael Brown.

00:35:50.000 Michael Brown, there were two independent state investigations in the state of Missouri with Michael Brown.

00:35:55.000 There was a federal investigation by the Obama DOJ.

00:35:57.000 All of them found that the shooting of Michael Brown was justified, that he reached into the officer's car, a police officer's car, Darren Wilson, reached into his car, fired a gun, ran away from the cop, turned around, charged the cop before he was shot.

00:36:09.000 Here's what Benjamin Crump said about Michael Brown at the time, quote, Hey, here is here is Benjamin Crump on Jacob Blake.

00:36:13.000 and shot. And then when he puts up his hands that the police were supposed to protect him, repeatedly shoots him. Hey, here is here is Benjamin Crump on Jacob Blake. Jacob Blake was, quote, breaking up a fight between two women. He was not breaking up a fight between He went to the house of a woman who had a previously alleged digital rape with a child in the room.

00:36:37.000 And then he resisted arrest.

00:36:38.000 And then he went, apparently, for a knife in his car on the floorboards of the driver's side.

00:36:42.000 But the facts don't matter.

00:36:43.000 All that matters is the narrative, which is why we have now seen repeated riots over cases that are completely uncontroversial as to the justifiability of the shooting.

00:36:51.000 We saw a complete riot in Chicago based on an absolute lie as to something that happened.

00:36:57.000 Supposedly an unarmed young black man was shot.

00:36:59.000 He was armed.

00:37:01.000 We've seen this happen over and over because the BLM narrative is that the police, no matter what, no matter what, it doesn't matter what the antecedent is, the conclusion is the same in the sentence.

00:37:09.000 Blank happened, thus the police are systemically racist.

00:37:13.000 You're going to have to choose a side here.

00:37:16.000 The Democrats have chosen their side.

00:37:18.000 By the way, choosing a side to be on the side of police does not mean you're on the side of bad police.

00:37:21.000 It doesn't mean you're on their side of police brutality.

00:37:24.000 It means that you're on the side of the police who are defending you from the bad guys every single day.

00:37:28.000 That you judge each case independently.

00:37:30.000 That you look at the circumstances of the case.

00:37:32.000 But you gotta choose.

00:37:32.000 You can be on the side of the criminals or you can be on the side of the cops.

00:37:35.000 The Democrats have chosen.

00:37:36.000 They are on the side of the criminals.

00:37:37.000 This is perfectly obvious.

00:37:39.000 As they continue to release rioters and looters.

00:37:41.000 As they continue to try to bail them out.

00:37:43.000 13 members of the Biden campaign bailed out rioters in Minneapolis.

00:37:47.000 As they continue to claim over and over that the police are systemically racist.

00:37:50.000 But Black Lives Matter is a wonderful movement in favor of change.

00:37:53.000 Change they can't specify, by the way.

00:37:55.000 And a program they can't articulate beyond abolishing the police.

00:37:58.000 You get to choose two.

00:38:00.000 Are you on the side of the people who cheer when cops get shot?

00:38:03.000 Or are you on the side of the cops?

00:38:05.000 Are you on the side of the people who suggest that all police are elements, mere widgets, in a criminally racist system?

00:38:12.000 Or are you on the side of those police officers who are serving and protecting in the line of duty?

00:38:16.000 You have to choose now.

00:38:18.000 You have to choose.

00:38:19.000 We didn't have to choose when we were talking about specific problems with specific solutions.

00:38:22.000 But when you name the police as systemically racist, and then the police start getting shot, well, now you're gonna have to make some choices, aren't you?

00:38:29.000 You can either side with the Jacob Blakes of the world, the alleged rapists, You can visit their families and talk about how proud you are of them. 0.98

00:38:36.000 Or you can side with the cops who have to capture these people and prevent them from raping black women. 0.99

00:38:41.000 By the way, the alleged victim in that case is a black woman. 1.00

00:38:46.000 You get to choose.

00:38:47.000 This is your choice too. 0.75

00:38:50.000 In just a second, we're going to see how the media have biased this choice because the media are absolutely irresponsible in disgusting, disgusting ways.

00:38:57.000 We're going to get to that in just one second.

00:38:58.000 First, let us talk about the fact that it is not a great time for you to go to the auto parts store.

00:39:03.000 In fact, it's never a great time to go to the auto parts store.

00:39:05.000 You know what's great?

00:39:05.000 The internet.

00:39:06.000 I'm a big fan.

00:39:07.000 Internet.

00:39:07.000 Great.

00:39:07.000 It allows you to buy products that you need at a price you want.

00:39:10.000 Rockauto.com is no exception.

00:39:12.000 RockAuto.com always offers the lowest prices possible rather than changing prices based on what the market will bear like airlines do.

00:39:18.000 Why would you spend up to twice as much for the same parts?

00:39:21.000 RockAuto.com is a family business serving auto parts customers online for 20 years.

00:39:25.000 Go to RockAuto.com to shop for auto and body parts from hundreds of manufacturers.

00:39:28.000 Best of all, prices at RockAuto.com are always reliably low and the same for professionals and do-it-yourselfers.

00:39:33.000 Why spend up to twice as much for the same parts?

00:39:36.000 The rockauto.com catalog is unique, remarkably easy to navigate.

00:39:39.000 Quickly see all the parts available for your vehicle and choose the brands, specifications, and prices you prefer.

00:39:43.000 They've got amazing selection at reliably low prices and all the parts your car is going to need.

00:39:47.000 Check them out at rockauto.com.

00:39:49.000 It just doesn't make sense to waste time and money by going to an auto parts store when you can stay home and get the lowest price with the exact part.

00:39:55.000 Go to rockauto.com right now, see all the parts available for your car or truck, Right, Shapiro in there, how did you hear about us, Box?

00:40:01.000 So they know that we sent you.

00:40:02.000 Okay, we're going to get into the media's willingness to completely obscure the facts of these particular cases, to obscure the choice that Americans are being asked to make, in just one second.

00:40:13.000 First, if you watch this podcast on YouTube, you should know, on September 28th, it will be moving from the Daily Wire channel to be available exclusively on my YouTube channel, the Ben Shapiro YouTube channel.

00:40:23.000 You can get the link in the description below.

00:40:25.000 I'm also making a lot of new content you can only find on my channel.

00:40:30.000 And what we're doing, for example, all sorts of new videos.

00:40:32.000 There's a personality test that I did where you can actually see how my personality breaks down.

00:40:36.000 My reaction to Batman trailers and all the rest.

00:40:39.000 All my video basically is now showing up on the Ben Shapiro YouTube channel.

00:40:42.000 So if you watch this over at the Daily Wire YouTube channel right now, pause what you're doing, go to the Ben Shapiro YouTube channel, and click subscribe, ring the bell, to make sure that you never miss out on a new video.

00:40:51.000 Also, Now would be a great time to go pick up a copy of my new book, How to Destroy America in Three Easy Steps.

00:40:56.000 Mark Levin on Levin TV.

00:41:00.000 Well, actually on Mark Levin's show, Life, Liberty and Levin over on Fox News.

00:41:04.000 It was featured again over the weekend, charged up the bestseller charts again.

00:41:07.000 Go check it out.

00:41:07.000 It is worth the read.

00:41:09.000 You're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.

00:41:12.000 All right, so the media, of course, have an interest in lying about this.

00:41:21.000 If you look at the headlines, over and over and over, in every single case, they just lie.

00:41:25.000 And this goes all the way back, frankly, to Trayvon Martin, when the media decided that George Zimmerman was a white Hispanic, and that he had not been injured in any altercation with Trayvon Martin.

00:41:33.000 They suggested he was lying about the physical altercation, then it turned out he was not lying.

00:41:37.000 The media, unfortunately, have a stake in lying in nearly every one of these circumstances.

00:41:41.000 They don't wait for the facts to come out.

00:41:43.000 They don't wait for it.

00:41:44.000 They just rush forward with whatever narrative is convenient for them.

00:41:48.000 Well, part of the narrative is that the police are systemically racist.

00:41:51.000 Another part of the narrative is that the riots and the violence that we've been seeing is non-ideological in nature.

00:41:57.000 That what we've instead been watching is basically an even split between right-wing and left-wing violence when it comes to this major uptick in violence in American cities, the rioting and the looting that has shut down major American cities.

00:42:09.000 So the case that they've been pushing more than any case else is the Kyle Rittenhouse case, right?

00:42:14.000 Rittenhouse was a 17-year-old who joined up with a militia to go and quote-unquote defend property in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

00:42:22.000 Hey, now, while he was there, he was apparently charged by people wielding guns.

00:42:27.000 He at one point shot a man in a parking lot after somebody fired a gun in the air, and then he was charged by somebody.

00:42:33.000 He shot one guy to death.

00:42:34.000 Then he was running away, and he was being charged by two other guys, one of whom jumped on top of him, tried to beat him up with a skateboard, and another guy who approached him with a gun.

00:42:43.000 And I can see in this still photo the man approaching him with a gun.

00:42:45.000 In his right hand is a pistol.

00:42:47.000 That pistol is pointed at Kyle Rittenhouse. 0.90

00:42:49.000 Kyle Rittenhouse shoots him in the arm.

00:42:51.000 The reason I bring this up is because, I mean, here is a closer up photo.

00:42:54.000 You can see the man gripping his arm, and you can see in his right hand is a pistol.

00:42:58.000 Okay, now, here is the way that this was covered.

00:43:02.000 The way that this was covered by the media, the media malfeasance here is so astonishingly open.

00:43:08.000 The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ran about the wounded man, this headline, quote, I walked away with my life that night.

00:43:13.000 Wounded Kenosha medic Gage Grosskreutz tells his story.

00:43:16.000 He's a wounded medic, is he?

00:43:18.000 Because the way that normally medics approach people is with brandishing a gun directly pointed at them.

00:43:22.000 That's normally how medics approach people.

00:43:23.000 Then he was featured on CNN as a victim, and he's wearing a hat that says paramedic.

00:43:28.000 Oh, OK.

00:43:29.000 He's wearing a hat that says paramedic.

00:43:31.000 So just to be straight, the good guys, according to the media, in these circumstances are people who attempt to block hospitals while ambulances with deathly wounded officers are inside.

00:43:41.000 Those are the people associated with BLM.

00:43:43.000 They're nice people.

00:43:44.000 And also people who attempt to rush 17-year-olds who have a rifle, right, rush them with pistols in an attempt to shoot them.

00:43:52.000 Those are the good guys.

00:43:53.000 He's a paramedic, guys.

00:43:54.000 Here was CNN covering this over the weekend.

00:43:57.000 I walked away with my life that night.

00:44:02.000 Two people didn't.

00:44:04.000 Gage Grosskreutz is the only person to survive of the three people shot during protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

00:44:11.000 I think about the screams, about the gunshots.

00:44:18.000 I think about everything all the time.

00:44:19.000 I'm missing 90% of my bicep.

00:44:22.000 I'm in constant pain, like excruciating pain, pain that just doesn't go away.

00:44:30.000 He's just a paramedic, guys.

00:44:32.000 That video of him, the actual picture of him holding the pistol, that doesn't exist.

00:44:36.000 He was there trying to provide medical attention with a pistol.

00:44:38.000 That's typically what people do.

00:44:40.000 Okay, all of this has the predictable result of getting the American people to believe things that are not true.

00:44:44.000 So there's a Fox News poll talking about Kenosha and Portland.

00:44:47.000 Okay, here's what the poll says.

00:44:50.000 In general, which better describes the unrest happening in New York, Kenosha, Portland, and other places, protests or riots?

00:44:56.000 Okay, about half of respondents say riots.

00:44:57.000 About 40% say protests.

00:45:00.000 When violence breaks out at these events, who do you think is more often to blame?

00:45:03.000 Left-wing radicals or right-wing radicals?

00:45:05.000 39% left-wing radicals.

00:45:06.000 33% right-wing radicals.

00:45:07.000 9% both.

00:45:07.000 33% right-wing radicals, 9% both, 17% don't know.

00:45:12.000 Well done, media.

00:45:15.000 Truly, well done.

00:45:16.000 Well done.

00:45:17.000 Because you have accomplished your goal, which is to completely obscure who is to blame for what's been happening in America's major cities.

00:45:23.000 Really, I'm impressed.

00:45:24.000 I'm impressed at the ability of the media to push this.

00:45:27.000 They've done an incredible job.

00:45:29.000 Also, you know, I was talking yesterday with a friend about exactly how this has happened, how the media has continued to maintain so much power in promulgating false narratives.

00:45:39.000 And there are a couple of factors.

00:45:41.000 One, you know, the media have been overwhelmingly left for a long time, obviously, and they are adept at getting their message out.

00:45:47.000 But something else has happened.

00:45:49.000 And that is, I remember back to 2004, during the election between George W. Bush and John Kerry, Dan Rather, at the very end of the election, put out this apparently falsified letter suggesting that George W. Bush had gone AWOL, right?

00:46:00.000 It was this last-minute surprise and it turned out to backfire completely on the media because the letter was made up.

00:46:04.000 That George W. Bush had gone AWOL back when he was in the Air National Guard during Vietnam.

00:46:09.000 And I remember at the time, there were right-wing commentators who said that because Dan Rather had been stopped, that the death of the old media was at hand.

00:46:17.000 That the dominance, the tsunami wave effect of the old media had been broken.

00:46:22.000 And I remember thinking that seems a little bit like triumphalism.

00:46:25.000 That the media still have enormous power to push a narrative.

00:46:27.000 But the media did something else.

00:46:28.000 And it's not just the media.

00:46:30.000 The left.

00:46:31.000 They started using cultural mechanisms in order to push political messages.

00:46:35.000 So it's true that the media diversified, right?

00:46:37.000 Daily Wire is an extraordinarily large site.

00:46:40.000 This podcast, this radio show are very, very large.

00:46:42.000 People listen to them.

00:46:44.000 The right wing does have its own ecosystem in getting information out there.

00:46:47.000 And the information is, in fact, out there.

00:46:48.000 And that's good.

00:46:49.000 But the left had held in abeyance a bunch of cultural institutions that they had not fully activated.

00:46:56.000 All of those cultural institutions are now fully activated.

00:46:58.000 And you will be cudgeled into submission by all of these cultural institutions if you don't buy the message that the news media are promulgating.

00:47:06.000 If you don't buy into the narrative that all the violence that's happening has no ideological cause, And that only violence that can be attributable to right-wing supremacists, or white supremacists, or armed right-wing militias, as Joe Biden likes to call them, that only that violence can be pegged to an ideology.

00:47:20.000 But violence that has to do with congressional baseball shooting, and people claiming that they are Bernie Sanders acolytes, or Dallas police officers being murdered by people who claim allegiance to BLM, or police officers being shot point-blank in LA, and BLM protesters attempting to block the hospital.

00:47:39.000 The non-ideological nature of all of that kind of violence has been pushed by the news media.

00:47:44.000 And if you don't believe it, if you don't believe it and you don't repeat it, then our cultural institutions will be brought to bear.

00:47:49.000 And that's why it matters what our cultural institutions do.

00:47:53.000 Because that does shape how people think.

00:47:57.000 It used to be that there was a certain area of American life that was reserved for politics, and that's where we all argued with each other and we got very passionate about politics.

00:48:03.000 And then there were areas of American life that were kind of reserved not for politics.

00:48:07.000 And that didn't mean people in those areas couldn't speak freely.

00:48:10.000 But when you turned on a football game, for example, what you watched typically was football, not social justice messaging that cultured you into a particular belief system.

00:48:10.000 They absolutely could.

00:48:18.000 Well, the left has now activated every element of its fully armed and operational battle system.

00:48:23.000 And that means every element, every cultural element from Hollywood, which now is going to require that Oscar nominees have a certain level of diversity implicit in either their plots or their staffing, To the NFL, which now insists that you mimic the messages they want you to mimic, otherwise you are a racist.

00:48:40.000 So over the weekend, the entire NFL decided to virtue signal about Black Lives Matter and to suggest that America is systemically racist.

00:48:48.000 The same America that gives a largely minority league incredible amounts of attention, time, respect, and money is apparently systemically racist and needs to be lectured on their systemic racism every time they turn on a football game. 0.83

00:49:01.000 And in fact, if you don't go far enough, in pledging fealty to this?

00:49:05.000 If you try to separate football in any way from the politics, you will be cudgeled.

00:49:09.000 Chris Collinsworth pledged fealty to this, and he got canceled.

00:49:14.000 Chris Collinsworth is the NBC broadcaster, and he was broadcasting the Kansas City Chiefs Houston Texans kickoff last week.

00:49:22.000 And he delivered a message about the NFL's social justice initiatives.

00:49:26.000 And he talked about how he was in favor of everything they were doing, but he added an unfortunate line that got him canceled.

00:49:32.000 Here was what that sounded like.

00:49:35.000 I feel like I have to start off by saying I stand behind these players 100%.

00:49:40.000 What they're trying to do is create positive change in this country that, frankly, is long, long overdue.

00:49:47.000 So let's just get that out of the way and go call a football game.

00:49:51.000 Okay, it's that last line.

00:49:51.000 Let's get that out of the way and go call a football game.

00:49:54.000 Pissed people off.

00:49:55.000 Pissed people off.

00:49:56.000 And also, Al Michaels, who's sitting there and doesn't say anything, he apparently is cancelled as well.

00:50:02.000 Once you give in to the woke culture, the demands never stop.

00:50:02.000 See, here's the thing.

00:50:06.000 And that's what everybody on the cultural left knows.

00:50:09.000 This is not merely a question of political left, it is now cultural left.

00:50:12.000 Every, every So, over the weekend, as I mentioned, the NFL decided to go full SJW.

00:50:17.000 Shockingly, the ratings were down.

00:50:18.000 of narratives that are patently untrue, like the police are systemically racist, and America puts black people at existential threat, and America is a discriminatory, horrible place that is rooted in slavery and bigotry.

00:50:28.000 These are the messages that will be promulgated by every area of American life.

00:50:32.000 So, over the weekend, as I mentioned, the NFL decided to go full SJW.

00:50:37.000 Shockingly, the ratings were down.

00:50:38.000 Who could have believed it?

00:50:39.000 Okay, here is, according to the Associated Press.

00:50:42.000 Jason Myers kicked off to start the Seahawks' season opener against the Falcons.

00:50:45.000 And the ball sailed through the end zone for a touchback.

00:50:48.000 No one moved a step.

00:50:49.000 Instead, the players all dropped to one knee.

00:50:52.000 After years of pleading with the NFL to act against systemic racism, they were willing to wait another 10 seconds to make their point.

00:50:58.000 Teams opening this year in empty stadiums knelt, locked arms, raised fists in protest, or stayed off the field entirely for the Star Spangled Banner.

00:51:05.000 And the Black Anthem lift every voice and sing on Sunday as the once-reluctant league brought racial injustice to the forefront on the NFL's first full slate of games.

00:51:12.000 So first of all, The idea that there needs to be a separate Black National Anthem cuts directly against the idea that we're supposed to be a unified polity.

00:51:19.000 There's not a Jewish National Anthem.

00:51:20.000 There's not a Hispanic National Anthem.

00:51:21.000 There's one National Anthem.

00:51:22.000 It's the National Anthem.

00:51:24.000 If you want to say that this is an important song for black Americans, that's fine.

00:51:26.000 To call it a black national anthem suggests that there is a black nation that is separate from the United States of America, which is just not true.

00:51:33.000 Nor ought it to be true if you wish for us to be a common polity.

00:51:36.000 In Atlanta, the teams wore armbands honoring civil rights leader John Lewis and staged the most striking of the day's gestures.

00:51:41.000 They barely flinched as the opening kickoff landed beyond the end line, took a knee, and remained there for about 10 seconds before trotting off the field to resume the game.

00:51:49.000 It's a start, Falcons running back Todd Gurley said after the game.

00:51:52.000 Are we going to keep doing this?

00:51:53.000 You don't want to make it a one-time thing just like having a good time and then the rest of the season you do nothing.

00:51:58.000 The Falcons also wore shirts with a John Lewis quote.

00:52:00.000 The vote is the most powerful nonviolent change engine you have in a democratic society.

00:52:05.000 And that's what the Falcons and Seahawks did before the game.

00:52:07.000 Everybody voted and said we're going to come together as a unit.

00:52:09.000 So basically this is now a Democratic Party get out the vote effort is what this has become.

00:52:13.000 Shocker because no systemic changes in the offing.

00:52:16.000 Remember, the NBA, LeBron James tried to lead a walkout.

00:52:20.000 It failed.

00:52:21.000 He had to come back.

00:52:22.000 And their big development, what they got out of the owners was, we will now use our stadiums, we will now use our athletic arenas, in order to host voting.

00:52:29.000 So it's just a giant Democratic get-out-the-vote effort, no actual policy change.

00:52:32.000 Well done, everybody.

00:52:34.000 While fans were absent everywhere except Jacksonville because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Minnesota Vikings hosted the family of George Floyd, who died in May in a videotaped killing that sparked national protests over police brutality against black people.

00:52:46.000 Vikings players locked arms in the end zone about a half hour before their game against Green Bay for Lift Every Voice, which was played before each game in Week 1, along with the national anthem, as part of the NFL's social awakening.

00:52:57.000 At least six Vikings dealt.

00:52:59.000 During the Star-Spangled Banner, something Coach Mike Zimmer had opposed.

00:53:03.000 About 10 of George Floyd's relatives were shown on the stadium video board from their perch in the upper concourse near the Gjallarhorn.

00:53:09.000 The symbol from Norse mythology, which gave the Vikings their name, has been sounded before every game since 2007.

00:53:13.000 On Sunday, the team said it remained silent to call attention to these silenced voices and collectively work toward a better, more just society.

00:53:19.000 Which voices have been silenced exactly?

00:53:22.000 I've been noticing 15 to 26 million protesters across the country.

00:53:25.000 Which voices have been silenced exactly?

00:53:27.000 The Packers remained in their locker room for both songs, following the lead of the Miami Dolphins.

00:53:32.000 The Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and Arizona Cardinals also remain in their locker rooms for both songs.

00:53:39.000 Colts coach Frank Reich dropped to one knee.

00:53:41.000 His players noticed.

00:53:42.000 Frank is the leader of the team.

00:53:43.000 He's the one who says, you know what starts with me, Indianapolis linebacker Darius Leonard said.

00:53:47.000 That definitely means a lot.

00:53:48.000 And that's why we stand behind coach Frank.

00:53:49.000 He stands behind us.

00:53:50.000 We all stand together.

00:53:54.000 So, all of the auspices of social justice will be brought to bear via our cultural institutions.

00:54:01.000 Now, the hilarious part of all of this, of course, is that it's never going to be enough.

00:54:05.000 Once you bend the knee, then Joffrey comes.

00:54:08.000 The social justice warrior movement, the woke culture, is not a forgiving culture in which you earn your way into paradise.

00:54:14.000 The woke culture is King Joffrey.

00:54:16.000 And once you bend the knee, the head is the next thing to fall.

00:54:19.000 Okay, once you bend the knee as a corporate entity, There will be no end to the demand.

00:54:24.000 Case in point, former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick blasted the NFL on the league's opening on Sunday, calling the NFL's new social justice-focused propaganda.

00:54:33.000 Okay, fair point.

00:54:36.000 Colin Kaepernick, correct.

00:54:37.000 It was also propaganda when he did it.

00:54:39.000 But now he says the NFL is trying to cover up for its own continued racism.

00:54:43.000 See, the thing is, once you made Colin Kaepernick your moral adjudicator, you're in serious trouble, NFL.

00:54:48.000 So why exactly is it propaganda?

00:54:50.000 Because Eric Reid, one of the first players to support Kaepernick's anti-racism kneeling protests, remains unsigned after being let go by the Carolina Panthers back in March.

00:54:59.000 The NFL announced earlier this year that in the wake of massive anti-racism and anti-police brutality protests that took place in nearly every major city, they would set a weekly social justice priority, embrace BLM slogans, and encourage players to take part in demonstrations, service projects, and social justice-focused initiatives, according to Emily Zanotti writing for Daily Wire.

00:55:16.000 None of that matters, said Kaepernick on Sunday, if Reid remains blacklisted.

00:55:19.000 While the NFL runs propaganda about how they care about black life, they are still actively blackballing Eric Reid for fighting for the black community.

00:55:25.000 Eric set two franchise records last year and is one of the best defensive players in the game.

00:55:30.000 So now they're going to have to appoint Colin Kaepernick the GM of every team.

00:55:34.000 Remember, EA Sports already made him a starting quarterback with franchise potential in their video game, Madden 21.

00:55:40.000 Now, every team should just make Colin Kaepernick the actual GM, right?

00:55:45.000 I mean, he's going to hire Eric Reid.

00:55:46.000 He played and started all 16 games for the Carolina Panthers last season.

00:55:49.000 He recorded 130 tackles, 4 sacks.

00:55:51.000 He joined the Panthers a few weeks into the 2018 season.

00:55:54.000 He recorded 71 tackles and an interception in that season, according to Colin Kaepernick.

00:56:02.000 So, number one, let me just put this out there.

00:56:04.000 If I were an NFL owner, I would hire Colin Kaepernick immediately.

00:56:07.000 Immediately.

00:56:08.000 And I'd make him my starting quarterback.

00:56:09.000 And I would say something very simple, which is, the entire world of media sports has told us that Colin Kaepernick is the most talented player ever to play the game.

00:56:18.000 So, I'm making him my starting quarterback.

00:56:20.000 I don't care who else I have on the team.

00:56:21.000 I'm making him my starting quarterback.

00:56:23.000 And I assume he will justify those expectations.

00:56:26.000 And if he gets sacked every down, I'm leaving him in.

00:56:29.000 First of all, you want to restore the ratings of the NFL, do it.

00:56:32.000 Second of all, we all know that Colin Kaepernick is not playing because Colin Kaepernick doesn't actually want to play.

00:56:38.000 But, if I were an NFL owner, I am full scale in favor of Colin Kaepernick being able to speak on whatever topic he wants to speak out about, and then get sacked because he can't make a secondary read.

00:56:46.000 And as an owner, I'd put my money where my mouth is, plus my ratings would actually spike pretty dramatically.

00:56:52.000 The underlying logic to all of this, in the end, whether it is cultural intimidation via your sporting events, or whether it is...

00:57:00.000 These protests in the streets, or whether it is media that wishes to call you a racist if you disagree with their failure to even bother to report facts.

00:57:08.000 The underlying element here, the underlying idea, and it's employers too.

00:57:12.000 I mean, I can't tell you how many notes I get on a daily basis from people who feel intimidated in their workplace and are deeply afraid to speak out because they're afraid that they will be fired by their employer for having the temerity to question whether America is systemically racist and whether police are systemically evil.

00:57:25.000 The underlying idea here is very obvious, and that is that the That is that unless you give Democrats power, all of this continues.

00:57:34.000 That you have to surrender.

00:57:35.000 Surrender is the only option.

00:57:37.000 That is the underlying logic here.

00:57:39.000 Some people are being pretty clear about this.

00:57:41.000 Shadi Hamid has a piece over at The Atlantic today called, The Democrats May Not Be Able To Concede.

00:57:46.000 If Trump wins, especially after losing the popular vote, the left may draw the wrong conclusions.

00:57:51.000 According to Shadi Hamid, he says a loss by Joe Biden under these circumstances is the worst case, not because Trump will destroy America, he can't, but because it is the social outcome most likely to undermine faith in democracy, resulting in more of the unrest and street battles that cities including Portland, Oregon and Seattle have seen in recent months.

00:58:07.000 For this reason, strictly law and order Republicans who have responded in dismay to scenes of rioting and looting have an interest in Biden winning, even if they could never bring themselves to vote for him.

00:58:17.000 In presidential elections, once is a fluke, twice is a pattern.

00:58:19.000 I struggle to imagine how, beyond utter shock, millions of Democrats will process a Trump victory.

00:58:24.000 A loss for Biden at a time when disillusion is already dangerously high means that things will get really ugly if Democrats can't beat a candidate as unpopular as Trump during a devastating pandemic and a massive national economic contraction.

00:58:36.000 Are they even capable of winning presidential elections anymore?

00:58:38.000 Democracy, after all, is supposed to self-correct after mistakes, particularly mistakes as egregious as electing Donald Trump.

00:58:46.000 This time it would be worse than in 2016.

00:58:50.000 Because Biden's poll numbers this year have been mostly higher than Clinton's were in 2016, a Trump victory will be even harder for the left to absorb.

00:58:56.000 Until Democrats started panicking recently, overconfidence had set in.

00:59:00.000 The polls offered good reason to think a Trump victory was drifting out of reach.

00:59:03.000 If Trump manages to win, he will likely do so despite losing the popular vote.

00:59:09.000 Liberals have convinced themselves that Republicans are, in one way or another, cheating.

00:59:14.000 Democrats have a right to be nervous, says Shadi Hamid over at The Atlantic.

00:59:19.000 He says that we may not be, that we may be on the border of a revolution.

00:59:23.000 He says, a certain kind of cognitive dissonance, the gap between what is and what should be, can fuel revolutionary sentiments, and not in just a fluffy, radical, chic kind of way.

00:59:32.000 In such situations, acting outside the political process, including through non-peaceful means, becomes more attractive, not necessarily out of hope, but out of despair.

00:59:41.000 So in other words, the right should cave to Democrats and elect Democrats so that leftists don't riot.

00:59:47.000 Blackmail is not an electoral strategy, nor should it be.

00:59:49.000 It is not an electoral strategy, nor should it be.

00:59:54.000 And the fact that a writer for The Atlantic is now openly acknowledging what we all know to be the case, which is that the Democrats have basically made their case that they are going to allow riots to continue in America's major cities and justify Every bad thing that happens on the basis that America is systemically racist, unless you elect them.

01:00:13.000 I mean, that is Joe Biden's proposal, is it not?

01:00:15.000 He keeps saying it over and over.

01:00:17.000 Take him at face value.

01:00:18.000 Joe Biden keeps saying over and over and over again that unless you elect him, America's wounds will not be healed.

01:00:24.000 It will remain open and the unrest will continue.

01:00:27.000 Now they're saying the quiet part out loud.

01:00:29.000 If you fall victim to that blackmail, if you decide to humor the blackmail, just understand.

01:00:32.000 Blackmailers never stop blackmailing. 1.00

01:00:34.000 They just understand they've got you by the short hairs and they continue to draw you in.

01:00:39.000 So.

01:00:40.000 Americans do not bend the knee to movements that don't care about truth or decency.

01:00:45.000 Do not bend the knee to movements that suggest that the only alternative to giving them power is violence in the streets.

01:00:50.000 Don't do it.

01:00:51.000 Pick a side.

01:00:53.000 All right, we'll be back here later today with two additional hours of content.

01:00:55.000 We didn't have a chance even to get to COVID or California wildfires.

01:00:58.000 We'll get to that a little bit later on in the program.

01:01:00.000 In the meantime, have an excellent day.
