The Ben Shapiro Show

The Soul Of The Left, Revealed | Ep. 335

Summary

Why is it so terrible for a person with one skin color to fall in love with a person of a different skin color? Because interracial sex advances white supremacy, which is the flip side of white supremacy. Ben Shapiro explains why interracial love is a no-no, and why racism against interracial relationships is a yes-no. Plus, why is it that the Big Sick, a new comedy-drama based on a true-life love story, is a hit in the media, but only with white women? And why does that matter to the Left? 00:00:00.000 For centuries, one of the great fears from racists was the specter of interracial relationships.
00:00:04.000 Racists in the post-Civil War era worked strenuously to enshrine anti-miscegenation laws.
00:00:09.000 The 1921 Constitution and laws of the KKK, for example, called for adherents to, quote, avow the distinction between the races.
00:00:16.000 The infamously racist birth of a nation was based on the fear of rape of white women by black men.
00:00:20.000 Modern era KKK flyers complain about the ultimate abomination, miscegenation, which decrees the death of a race.
00:00:26.000 Race mixing is against God's law.
00:00:28.000 This sort of disgusting propaganda has, thank God, fallen out of common fashion.
00:00:32.000 Except on the left.
00:00:34.000 Today, over at Jezebel, this headline actually ran.
00:00:37.000 This is a direct quote.
00:00:37.000 This is pretty incredible stuff.
00:00:44.000 Why in the world would it be so terrible for a person with one skin color to fall in love with a person of a different skin color?
00:00:48.000 In fact, the left has been generating trumped-up headlines about supposed conservative objections to Cheerios commercials and Old Navy commercials and State Farm commercials involving interracial relationships.
00:00:58.000 The left can't come up with any legit sources who actually object to these commercials, so instead they find random Twitter followers and then build a story out of them.
00:01:05.000 But Jezebel is a relatively mainstream left outlet.
00:01:08.000 There, Aditi Natashakini writes, quote, The Big Sick, which is a new show.
00:01:13.000 has been roundly lauded in the press lately, including here at Jezebel, and not without good reason.
00:01:17.000 It's a funny, heartwarming love story based on the true-life experiences of co-writers, married couple Kumail Nanjiani and Emily Gordon.
00:01:24.000 But as much as I liked it, and I did, I also found myself exhausted, yet again, by the on-screen depiction of a brown man wanting to date a white woman, while brown women are portrayed, alternatively, as caricatures, stereotypes, inconsequential, and or the butts of a joke.
00:01:38.000 So the story is actually based on a true real-life relationship, but it's still annoying to this lady.
00:01:44.000 That's because even using a white woman as a romantic lead means, quote, in the complex hierarchy of power and race in America, paying, quote, lip service to the one notion that has shaped the history of South Asian and American culture alike.
00:01:56.000 Whiteness as the ultimate desire, the highest goal in defining oneself as an American.
00:02:01.000 So, racism against white women who have sex with brown men is fine, but racism against brown men who have sex with white women is terrible.
00:02:09.000 As Keeny says, quote,
00:02:16.000 The only disagreement between Keeney and the KKK isn't on the appropriateness of interracial relationships, but on whether such relationships advance or inhibit white supremacy.
00:02:24.000 This seems weird, but intersectionality is basically the flip side of white supremacy.
00:02:28.000 Interracial sex is a no-no, because it might imply that separateness for non-white races is taboo.
00:02:33.000 The only strange element here is that many people on the left fail to see their own hypocrisy when they don't stand up to racism emanating from their own side of the aisle.
00:02:40.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.
00:02:41.000 This is The Ben Shapiro Show.
00:02:47.000 Alright, so Trump was in Europe, Linda Sarsour makes an idiot of herself and says some pretty awful things.
00:02:52.000 We'll get to all of that in just a second, plus I will explain why I am wearing this magnificent hat.
00:02:58.000 But first, I want to say thank you to our sponsors over at Birch Gold.
00:03:01.000 So, if you're concerned that perhaps the stock market is inflated, if you're worried that the real estate market might be inflated, if you're worried that the economy is overheated, or if you're just worried about the possibility of a natural disaster knocking the stock market off its moorings,
00:03:14.000 Or an international incident, which seems to be the possibility of which seems to be growing.
00:03:17.000 You need to at least put some of your assets in gold.
00:03:19.000 Birch Gold helps you do that.
00:03:20.000 Birch Gold Group.

00:03:37.000 You should own some precious metals.
00:03:38.000 Everybody should have a piece of their portfolio in precious metals.
00:03:40.000 It has never been worth nothing, precious metals.
00:03:42.000 It would always be worth something.
00:03:43.000 It's a very safe haven for assets in volatile times economically.
00:03:47.000 And while the economy seems to be doing well right now, we all know, I mean, we all remember 2007-2008.
00:03:52.000 You can see how things collapse really quickly and that's why it's important to have at least some of your bets hedged with precious metals.
00:03:57.000 So go over to birchgoldgroup.com.
00:03:59.000 So you go birchgold.com slash ben.

00:04:19.000 Birchgold.com slash Ben.
00:04:22.000 Okay, so the last 48 hours have been very, very rough for the left.
00:04:25.000 The entire week has been very rough for the left, actually.
00:04:27.000 President Trump was in Poland and, you know, first I should probably, before I jump right into the news, I should explain why I'm wearing this hat.
00:04:34.000 I was in Texas.
00:04:35.000 The last couple of days I was in Texas.
00:04:36.000 Texas is just a wonderful state.
00:04:39.000 It's a wonderful state.
00:04:40.000 We went to a little town in the middle of nowhere and we were talking with some of the people there and they were talking about how they were basically just able to build their houses without any state permitting, without any local permitting.
00:04:49.000 They just go out and build a house.
00:04:51.000 Like, that's America, man.
00:04:52.000 I mean, that's awesome.
00:04:53.000 In California, you have to get a permit to retile your bathroom.
00:04:56.000 I mean, legitimately, you have to get a permit to retile your bathroom.
00:04:59.000 In my house.
00:05:01.000 It is an amazing state.
00:05:03.000 It's why everything looks brand shiny new over in the state of Texas.
00:05:06.000 And so in honor of the great state of Texas, I am wearing this hat.
00:05:11.000 We took a picture yesterday of me standing next to a truck wearing this hat.
00:05:13.000 It does look like I'm about to release a really bad country album.
00:05:16.000 And I do understand, we'll talk a little bit more about this later, but I do understand that me in a cowboy hat is a little bit incongruous.
00:05:23.000 But, um, I have a piece of music that I will play that I think will help fix all of that.
00:05:27.000 Okay, so, back to the news.
00:05:28.000 So, President Trump is over in Poland, and he gives what is a very, very good speech.
00:05:32.000 His speech in Poland is, I think, the best speech of his presidency.
00:05:35.000 I think it was much better, actually, than his speech in Saudi Arabia.
00:05:38.000 I was not a big fan of his speech in Saudi Arabia.
00:05:40.000 I thought it was weak tea.
00:05:41.000 I thought it didn't really focus in on the issues that needed to be talked about.
00:05:44.000 But his speech in Poland I thought was really quite good.
00:05:46.000 I thought the Trump speech in Poland
00:05:48.000 Really called out the clash of civilizations that is happening.
00:05:51.000 He is not shying away from the fact that Western civilization is in a Samuel Huntington style battle with other civilizations that are attempting to rise and take its place.
00:06:00.000 So Trump had this to say.
00:06:01.000 He said that we are going to have to ask whether the West has the will to survive.
00:06:07.000 The defense of the West ultimately rests not only on means, but also on the will of its people to prevail and be successful and get what you have to have.
00:06:18.000 The fundamental question of our time is whether the West has the will to survive.
00:06:25.000 Do we have the confidence in our values to defend them at any cost?
00:06:30.000 Do we have enough respect for our citizens to protect our borders?
00:06:35.000 Do we have the desire and the courage to preserve our civilization in the face of those who would subvert and destroy it?
00:06:45.000 We can have
00:06:50.000 The largest economies and the most lethal weapons anywhere on earth.
00:06:55.000 But if we do not have strong families and strong values, then we will be weak and we will not survive.
00:07:07.000 And everything that he says there is 100% true.
00:07:10.000 You know, I think the values that he talks about preserving, I would like to see him talk about a little bit more.
00:07:14.000 Explicate.
00:07:14.000 What are those values that are worth preserving?
00:07:16.000 And it's not just the value of being able to do whatever you want.
00:07:19.000 It's Judeo-Christian moral systems that suggest not only that you have rights, but that you have responsibilities.
00:07:25.000 And I'd like to hear Trump talk a little bit more about what personal behavior looks like in that context, what political behavior looks like in that context, why it is that government was instituted in the first place.
00:07:33.000 Like, foundational principles need to be retaught.
00:07:35.000 Trump obviously can get eyeballs whenever he wants, and I think that that's a wonderful quality in a president.
00:07:40.000 I would like to see him use it for good.
00:07:41.000 I think he did that in Poland, and so I thought that that was a really first-rate speech.
00:07:47.000 Naturally, the left hated it.
00:07:49.000 Trump also went hard at Russia in the speech.
00:07:51.000 He actually talked about Russia invading Ukraine.
00:07:53.000 He said that he opposes Russian action in Syria.
00:07:56.000 He's talked about instituting missile defense in Poland, which is something that Obama withdrew from.
00:08:02.000 And, uh, and, you know, all of that the media ignored because that cuts against their narrative, which is that Trump is in Putin's pocket.
00:08:07.000 Here he is speaking very proudly to the Pogols about the fact that they need missile defense, about the fact that Vladimir Putin on their borders is not a good thing.
00:08:15.000 And he is, uh, and he's being scoriated by the media nonetheless.
00:08:19.000 So here is Trump talking about Russia a little bit during that speech yesterday.
00:08:22.000 We urge Russia to cease its destabilizing activities in Ukraine and elsewhere, and its support for hostile regimes, including Syria and Iran, and to instead join the community of responsible nations in our fight against common enemies and in defense of civilization itself.
00:08:47.000 Okay, so he's trying to draw a useful line here, and I think that it is useful.
00:08:54.000 So it's funny, when it comes to Russia, a lot of people on the left have a very different story than when it comes to Saudi Arabia, for example.
00:09:00.000 So they'll say about Saudi Arabia and members of the Islamic world, we need them as allies in the war on terror, so you have to make overtures to them.
00:09:06.000 When it comes to Russia, they'll say you can never make an overture to Russia, because if you do, you're just emboldening them.
00:09:11.000 These positions are somewhat inconsistent.
00:09:13.000 I think what Trump is doing here is he's saying to Russia, listen,
00:09:16.000 You go any further and we're going to stop you, but why don't you join us?
00:09:19.000 Now, do I think that's delusional?
00:09:20.000 Do I think Russia's actually going to join us in our battle on behalf of Western civilization?
00:09:24.000 No.
00:09:24.000 Unlike a lot of the people at sort of the alt-right, I don't think that Russia is part of the common cause for Western civilization, nor have they really ever been.
00:09:32.000 I mean, Russia has always had its own interests at heart.
00:09:35.000 Trying to convert them into modern-day Germany or modern-day France or modern-day Britain is just silly.
00:09:40.000 It's not happening.
00:09:42.000 What Trump says there is just fine.
00:09:44.000 There's really not a huge problem with it, and it's not any different than anything that Bush said or anything that Obama said.
00:09:48.000 The media went nuts on all of this.
00:09:50.000 So, as always, the media decided that this was racist and sexist and Nazi.
00:09:55.000 Okay, so, Vox has a piece today called, Trump's speech in Poland sounds like an alt-right manifesto.
00:10:01.000 And here's what it says.
00:10:02.000 This morning in Warsaw, Poland, President Donald Trump issued a battle cry for family, for freedom, for country, and for God in a speech that often resorted to rhetorical conceits typically used by the European and American alt-right.
00:10:14.000 Wait, what?
00:10:15.000 So, um, family is something I talk about a lot, freedom is something I talk about a lot, country is something I talk about a lot, and God is something I talk about a lot.
00:10:22.000 I think the alt-right are a bunch of crap bags, okay?
00:10:24.000 So, I was unaware that the language of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln and
00:10:31.000 And every great American thinker of the past two centuries, all of which focused on family and freedom and country and God, I'm not sure what is... that's not blood and soil.
00:10:40.000 Like, the alt-right focuses on blood and soil.
00:10:41.000 In fact, the alt-right basically says that freedom is not even something that is necessary, that freedom can be quashed by a powerful central government.
00:10:50.000 On behalf of the quote-unquote civilization, right?
00:10:52.000 The alt-right is not a small government group.
00:10:55.000 And the alt-right, large segments of the alt-right are not pro-God.
00:10:58.000 I mean, a lot of the alt-right thinkers actually think that God, Judeo-Christian values are weakening.
00:11:02.000 They're sort of Nietzschean thinkers in many ways.
00:11:05.000 So it's a very weird critique from the left.
00:11:08.000 They're trying to fit an ideological square peg into the round hole of the alt-right.
00:11:13.000 It says, drafted by Steve Miller, the architect of the travel ban, Trump's speech used the type of dire last chance warning often utilized by the far right on both sides of the Atlantic.
00:11:21.000 The fundamental question of our time is whether the West has the will to survive.
00:11:24.000 JFK said very similar type stuff in the 1960s.
00:11:28.000 And when Trump says, do we have confidence in our values to defend them at any cost?
00:11:31.000 Can we protect our borders?
00:11:32.000 Will we preserve our civilization?
00:11:34.000 Why is that a far-right thing?
00:11:36.000 This is not a far-right thing.
00:11:37.000 This has been typical American rhetoric, again, for two centuries.
00:11:41.000 And it is the central question for any country.
00:11:43.000 is whether you have values you are willing to preserve, and will you preserve those by internal action in order to preserve freedom, and will you preserve those by outward-facing action.
00:11:52.000 But the left is so concerned with labeling Trump a Nazi that they are willing to take language that is eminently non-Nazi and then try and pretend that it's Nazi.
00:11:59.000 So Peter Beinart, who is just an intellectual sinkhole.
00:12:02.000 Peter Beinart is a Hamas apologist.
00:12:05.000 He's respected on the left because he's anti-Israel and he's Jewish.
00:12:08.000 He has a piece in The Atlantic
00:12:11.000 In which he says, the racial and religious paranoia of Trump's Warsaw speech.
00:12:14.000 He says, in his speech in Poland on Thursday, Donald Trump referred ten times to the West and five times to our civilization.
00:12:21.000 His white nationalist supporters will understand exactly what he means.
00:12:27.000 Why is that white nationalism?
00:12:30.000 Like, I'm Jewish.
00:12:32.000 I'm part of our civilization.
00:12:33.000 The West is a Judeo-Christian one.
00:12:35.000 A Judeo-Christian one.
00:12:37.000 The West is not just a location as Beinart notes, but it is an ideology, and it's an ideology based on Judeo-Christian values that undergird a system of constitutional freedoms.
00:12:45.000 That's what the West
00:12:47.000 Was, right?
00:12:48.000 I mean, that's what we're talking about here.
00:12:50.000 But Beinart redefines the West and redefines our civilization to make them racist, sexist.
00:12:54.000 I mean, honestly, if you can't use the word our civilization, the phrase our civilization, or the West, then I don't know what you're talking about.
00:13:00.000 Like, is Aragorn a racist in Lord of the Rings when he says men of the West?
00:13:06.000 Was Churchill, when he talked about the West, the defense of the West, was he a racist, sexist?
00:13:10.000 I mean, what is this nonsense?
00:13:13.000 You know, Beinart says the West is not a geographic term.
00:13:15.000 Poland is further east than Morocco.
00:13:17.000 France is further east than Haiti.
00:13:19.000 Well, so what?
00:13:21.000 It's a culture.
00:13:22.000 I think everyone acknowledges that.
00:13:23.000 No one says it's West on a map.
00:13:25.000 The West is not an ideological or economic term either.
00:13:27.000 India is the world's largest democracy.
00:13:29.000 Japan is among its most economically advanced nations.
00:13:31.000 No one considers them part of the West.
00:13:33.000 Well, that's actually not super true, actually, now.
00:13:37.000 I mean, Japan is largely considered, if not technically a part of the West, then an outgrowth of the West.
00:13:44.000 I mean, Japan is in the Far East, but their government is much closer to the West than it is to what we would typically term, you know, the quote-unquote East.
00:13:51.000 This is the thing.
00:13:52.000 When we talk about the West, the polar opposite of the West in geography is the East, but the polar opposite of the West in political terms is not the West.
00:13:58.000 It's Islamic civilization, Islamist civilization, right?
00:14:01.000 That's what we're talking about.
00:14:02.000 The West is a series of values.
00:14:04.000 He says, the West is, but Beinart says, the West is a racial and religious term.
00:14:08.000 To be considered Western, a country must be largely Christian, preferably Protestants or Catholic, and largely white.
00:14:13.000 Where there is ambiguity about a country's Westernness, it's because there's ambiguity about or tension between these two characteristics.
00:14:19.000 That's, that's nonsense.
00:14:20.000 Israel is a Western country.
00:14:22.000 Israel is pretty far East and entirely Jewish.
00:14:24.000 It's all Jewish and Arab.
00:14:26.000 I mean, what?
00:14:28.000 But again, the left is so extreme now, they've really boxed themselves in because they are so extreme that they have to, and they're so interested in getting Trump, that they actually have to promote radical, insane rhetoric in order to get where they want to go.
00:14:45.000 They're defending such an untenable position that they feel the necessity to pretend that mainstream rhetoric is now alt-right rhetoric on the part of Trump.
00:14:53.000 Now, what's weird about this is that there's plenty of stuff that Trump has done that you can label alt-right friendly.
00:14:57.000 I mean, during the primaries, he was routinely retweeting and associating with members of the alt-right.
00:15:00.000 I mean, his White House chief strategist said that Breitbart was an outlet for the alt-right.
00:15:04.000 Like, you don't have to stretch to get here.
00:15:06.000 But the left is so out, they're so insane now, they've lost their minds so much, they've lost their moorings, that any reference to the West is considered fascist or alt-right?
00:15:15.000 Goodness gracious.
00:15:15.000 I mean, Winston Churchill spent his life opposing fascism and communism, and he talked about the West incessantly.
00:15:22.000 And I guess that would make him, according to Peter Beinart, a racist and a bigot.
00:15:27.000 The left is so far left now that they are embracing... I mean, the left was unmasked over the last 48 hours between their attacks on Trump for using the terms the West and our civilization, and them going after Mark Penn.
00:15:38.000 Mark Penn is a consultant, a Democratic consultant, who wrote a column saying that the Democrats should move back to the center if they wish to win elections again.
00:15:45.000 Which makes a lot of sense.
00:15:46.000 If you want to win all of the states that Trump just took from you, then you're going to have to abandon the intersectionality garbage that you've been pushing for the last several years.
00:15:53.000 Mark Penn is getting just excoriated by the entire Democratic Party.
00:15:57.000 Here's Mark Penn on Fox News getting destroyed by another member of the left.
00:16:03.000 Look at what happened in the last two years of the Obama administration and what happened in that primary.
00:16:08.000 I think the Sanders campaign and its strength also, I think, pushed Hillary Clinton to the left.
00:16:15.000 The Democratic Party got fundamentally repositioned much farther to the left and out of touch with working class voters.
00:16:22.000 Working-class voters really want to see the values of hard work, family, religion as a strong part of a party that they could support for economic progress.
00:16:31.000 And I think they got left behind in the shift that occurred at that time.
00:16:36.000 Well, you know, I have breaking news for Mark.
00:16:38.000 It's not the 1990s.
00:16:39.000 You know, the administration that he served in locked up more black African-American men than those enslaved in 1850.
00:16:46.000 So everyone doesn't have fond memories of the fallout of the 90s administration.
00:16:51.000 Right now, it's not about the Democrats losing their identity, the party.
00:16:55.000 It's about the identity of the messenger.
00:16:57.000 Not the message.
00:17:15.000 I mean, you can see he's saying reasonable things about the Bill Clinton era.
00:17:17.000 The Bill Clinton era was the most successful era for Democrats in the last 20 years.
00:17:20.000 More successful than Obama.
00:17:21.000 Obama got a lot of things done in his first two years, and then he destroyed the entire Democratic Party wholesale across the country.
00:17:28.000 Bill Clinton actually got a bunch of things done that ended up paving the way for a more successful country because he was willing to move to the center.
00:17:34.000 I mean, for all of Bill Clinton's myriad flaws as a human being and as a political thinker,
00:17:40.000 He was at least willing to move to the middle in order to get some good stuff done, like welfare reform.
00:17:45.000 I mean, he actually, after his massive tax increases, he actually lowered the capital gains tax.
00:17:50.000 But the Democrats are so crazy, they're so far to the left, they're so ensconced with intersectionality and Bernie Sanders socialism, that they are destroying their own party.
00:17:57.000 And I'm going to get to Linda Sarsour in just a second, because Linda Sarsour's speech that came out yesterday is perfect proof of this.
00:18:03.000 But before I do that, I first want to say thank you to our sponsors over at the USCCA.
00:18:08.000 You're at home, you're sitting around, and you hear the front door being pushed open.
00:18:13.000 You run to your safe, you grab your gun, and the intruder comes in and you shoot him.
00:18:18.000 What happens next?
00:18:19.000 Well, you usually think, number one, in order to get to that point you have to have good gun training, you have to know how to use your gun, you have to know when to use your gun.
00:18:25.000 USCCA, the U.S.
00:18:26.000 Concealed Carry Association, helps you learn all of that.
00:18:29.000 But after you pull the trigger, you're going to spend years in the court system
00:18:33.000 We're good to go.
00:18:48.000 We're good to go.
00:19:03.000 Of course!
00:19:20.000 Be able to know, I mean they have classes in how to carry, they have classes in how to, they give you all sorts of education materials, and then they also cover you for, in God forbid the situation you actually have to defend yourself with a gun.
00:19:34.000 They cover you for after that.
00:19:35.000 That's what USCCA is for.
00:19:36.000 Every gun owner should be a member.
00:19:37.000 If you are a gun owner, you should be a member.
00:19:39.000 I am a member of USCCA.
00:19:40.000 You should go over and you should check it out.
00:19:41.000 Go over to USCCA.
00:19:43.000 DefendMyFamilyNow.com DefendMyFamilyNow.com
00:19:47.000 Check it out, and I believe that you can still register to win that $1,776 for the guns and ammo of your choice at DefendMyFamilyNow.com.
00:19:55.000 Okay, so the greatest proof that the left has completely lost its moorings and is just pandering to the most radical constituency on every side
00:20:04.000 We're good.
00:20:20.000 So I'm going to give you a little bit of background about Linda Sarsour before we play the clip that's got everybody buzzing, right?
00:20:25.000 So she actually said on Sunday, she called for a jihad against Trump, right?
00:20:28.000 She used that word.
00:20:29.000 And we'll talk about whether she meant that peacefully or non-peacefully.
00:20:32.000 But first, I think we need to set the stage for who Linda Sarsour is, because the left keeps saying, well, don't take that quote out of context.
00:20:37.000 Okay, well, I don't want to take the quote out of context, so I'll play it in context and explain it.
00:20:42.000 I also don't want to take Linda Sarsour out of context, okay?
00:20:44.000 She's not just some rando who used the word jihad to mean a moderate Muslim struggle within themselves for greater spirituality, okay?
00:20:53.000 She's not Dr. Zudi Jasser.
00:20:59.000 I mean, she's not any of these people.
00:21:01.000 She is a very, very extreme person.
00:21:03.000 For example,
00:21:04.000 Here's what she tweeted about Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
00:21:06.000 Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a victim of female genital mutilation at the hands of Muslims.
00:21:11.000 She is now an atheist and she speaks out against radical Islamism.
00:21:14.000 And Linda Sarsour tweeted out about her and Brigitte Gabriel, another ex-Muslim.
00:21:19.000 Brigitte Gabriel equals Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
00:21:21.000 She's asking for an ass-whippin'.
00:21:23.000 I wish I could take their vaginas away.
00:21:25.000 They don't deserve to be women.
00:21:26.000 This is Linda Sarsour, the leader of the Women's March.
00:21:29.000 She's a feminist icon.
00:21:31.000 This is what she tweeted about the Honor Diaries, which was a movie about honor killings and how they are now endemic in parts of the Muslim world.
00:21:40.000 She didn't like that, so she tweeted, So she can't argue with any of the content.
00:21:51.000 She's just gonna label anybody who funds a movie about honor killings a hate group.
00:21:54.000 Okay, here's a tweet about Sharia law.
00:21:56.000 Linda Sarsour is a big fan of Sharia law.
00:21:58.000 Here's what she had to say about Sharia law.
00:22:00.000 And I'm not talking about Sharia law like the internal governance of the Muslim community when you have a financial dispute and you and your fellow Muslims go to like an Islamic court.
00:22:06.000 We have that in Judaism too.
00:22:07.000 It's called Beit Din.
00:22:08.000 It's not that big a deal, right?
00:22:09.000 It's an ecclesiastical court.
00:22:10.000 But that's not what she's talking about.
00:22:12.000 She's talking about the governance of a country by Islamic law including areas including criminal law.
00:22:17.000 She says, you'll know when you're living under Sharia law if suddenly all your loans and credit cards become interest-free.
00:22:22.000 Sounds nice, doesn't it?
00:22:23.000 Well, I mean, number one, it doesn't sound very nice because you can't buy anything in countries that have only interest-free loans and credit cards, because who in their right mind would provide such things, right?
00:22:31.000 Interest actually happens to be... I'm writing something about this now, biblical takes on interest.
00:22:36.000 Interest happens to be a rather crucial part of the financial markets, but she's tweeted worse things about Sharia law.
00:22:41.000 She's tweeted with regard to women's driving in Saudi Arabia, for example.
00:22:45.000 She was asked about, well, if Sharia law is so great, why can't women drive in Saudi Arabia?
00:22:48.000 And here's what she tweeted, right?
00:22:49.000 She tweeted,
00:22:51.000 She tweeted, 10 weeks of paid maternity leave in Saudi Arabia.
00:22:54.000 Yes, paid.
00:22:55.000 And you're worrying about women driving?
00:22:56.000 Puts us to shame.
00:22:57.000 I mean, just ridiculous.
00:23:00.000 Just ridiculous, right?
00:23:01.000 I mean, she's defending Saudi Arabia because they have paid maternity leave?
00:23:05.000 Well, maybe that's because women in Saudi Arabia aren't working very often.
00:23:09.000 Okay?
00:23:09.000 And not allowing them to drive is still a rather large problem.
00:23:12.000 Okay?
00:23:13.000 Saudi Arabia is not famous for its women's rights.
00:23:16.000 She also happens to be a close associate of many groups that are associated with terrorism.
00:23:21.000 The speech that she actually gave, which she gave at the Islamic Society of North America, which has been linked to terror funding groups for years and years and years and years.
00:23:28.000 And when it comes to terror incidents, she has a long and unpleasant history.
00:23:33.000 I don't think so.
00:23:53.000 Okay, the underwear bomber was not CIA gang.
00:23:55.000 He was a radical Muslim who was attempting to bomb an American plane.
00:23:58.000 So this is who Linda Sarsour is.
00:23:59.000 She's also posed next to people who are convicted of crimes in association with Hamas in photographs.
00:24:06.000 She has bragged about having relatives in jail in Israel.
00:24:09.000 She has tweeted out, I believe, photos of people getting ready to stone Israeli soldiers.
00:24:16.000 She's a really egregious figure, and the left has embraced her.
00:24:19.000 Now what they embraced now, what they've done now, is they've actually embraced her talking about jihad against the Trump administration.
00:24:25.000 So we're going to talk about that, we're going to put it into its complete context, but for that, you're going to have to go over to dailywire.com and subscribe.
00:24:30.000 $8 a month gets you a subscription to dailywire.com.
