The Ben Shapiro Show - The Twitter Files | Ep. 1623

00:00:00.000 Left-wing journalist Matt Taibbi releases Twitter files demonstrating just how and why the company shut down the Hunter Biden story before Election 2020.

00:00:07.000 The media rushed to attack both Taibbi and Elon Musk.

00:00:10.000 And Donald Trump calls for a suspension of the Constitution.

00:00:13.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.

00:02:34.000 While Elon Musk had promised that he would open up the Twitter files upon taking over, and so he has.

00:02:40.000 So, late Friday night, Matt Taibbi, the former Rolling Stone journalist, he's a left winger, but he's sort of been alienated from the left wing by their wokeness.

00:02:48.000 He released a long thread of information regarding the suspension of the Hunter Biden story in the month leading up to the 2020 election.

00:02:55.000 You'll all remember that in October, the New York Post came up with a story about Hunter Biden's laptop that contained all sorts of Brilliant information as well as some rather relevant information about whether Hunter Biden may have been picking up bags of cash using his daddy's last name and whether or not he was actually conveying some of that money over to quote unquote, the big guy that was testified to by Tony Bobulinski, a person with whom Hunter Biden was actually doing business.

00:03:17.000 He suggested that Joe was benefiting from his son running around the entire globe, picking up bags of cash in China and in Ukraine and in other parts of the world.

00:03:26.000 So, that story was suspended, you'll remember, from Twitter.

00:03:29.000 If you posted the story, you were suspended from Twitter.

00:03:32.000 And there was a concerted effort by social media platforms to shut down the distribution of the story, as well as those who were attempting to distribute the story.

00:03:40.000 You'll also recall that Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, he actually said that he was approached by the FBI and told, That there was going to be a wave of Russian disinformation.

00:03:47.000 And maybe this was the Russian disinformation.

00:03:49.000 So basically the social media bros just decided we are not going to allow this information to be disseminated.

00:03:54.000 Did it make a difference in the election?

00:03:56.000 It didn't make no difference in the election, obviously.

00:03:58.000 Would that have been enough to make Donald Trump the president?

00:04:00.000 Nobody really knows the answer to that question.

00:04:02.000 I, on my own, somewhat doubt that given the margin of popular vote victory in the particular states at issue in Arizona and Georgia and Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and all the rest.

00:04:13.000 But with that said, Does that mean that the election was rigged?

00:04:17.000 Well, rigged again is different than stolen.

00:04:19.000 Stolen is where somebody actually loads the ballot box filled with all sorts of false ballots or they take a bunch of good ballots and they throw them in the river or something.

00:04:28.000 Rigged means that all of the factors in the election are corruptly changed in order to prevent the election of one candidate or another.

00:04:34.000 Does this thing count under part of rigged?

00:04:36.000 It certainly would.

00:04:37.000 When you have social media making an overt effort to aid one candidate at the expense of another candidate, that obviously is part of rigging the game.

00:04:45.000 Okay, well, here's what Matt Taibbi actually showed.

00:04:48.000 And the big question here is twofold.

00:04:49.000 One, what is the relationship between Twitter and the Democratic Party?

00:04:52.000 And two, what is the relationship between Twitter, the Democratic Party, and the FBI?

00:04:56.000 And that last part is not demonstrated by the Twitter files, as we'll get to.

00:04:59.000 But the Twitter files do show an extraordinarily warm relationship between, let's say, middle management at Twitter and high-ranking members of the Democratic Party.

00:05:07.000 And that, of course, is no surprise.

00:05:09.000 And the middle management problem is a very serious problem at a lot of these big social media companies.

00:05:13.000 This is true also at Facebook.

00:05:15.000 Mark Zuckerberg, for example, he has sort of a congenital like for free speech.

00:05:19.000 He gave an entire speech in 2018 at Georgetown University talking about free speech.

00:05:23.000 And then his middle management has decided that they're not going to allow free speech.

00:05:23.000 That was pretty good.

00:05:26.000 And it seems like the same thing sort of happened over at Twitter.

00:05:29.000 They'll have a founder of a company and then when the founder of the company gives up control to a bunch of people who are the middle management, the middle management just do what they want to do.

00:05:36.000 So here's what Matt Taibbi showed.

00:05:37.000 He was given the files by Elon Musk and then he put them out there.

00:05:41.000 He said, the Twitter files tell an incredible story from inside one of the world's largest and most influential social media platforms.

00:05:46.000 It is a Frankensteinian tale of a human built mechanism grown out of control of its designer.

00:05:51.000 Twitter in its conception was a brilliant tool for enabling instant mass communication, making a true real-time global conversation possible for the first time.

00:05:57.000 In an early conception, Twitter more than lived up to its mission statement, giving people, quote, the power to create and share ideas and information instantly without barriers.

00:06:04.000 As time progressed, however, the company was slowly forced to add those barriers.

00:06:07.000 Some of the first tools for controlling speech were designed to combat the likes of spam and financial fraudsters.

00:06:12.000 Slowly over time, Twitter staff and executives began to find more and more uses for these tools.

00:06:16.000 Outsiders began petitioning the company to manipulate speeches, well, first a little, then more often, then constantly.

00:06:23.000 Says Matt Taibbi, by 2020, requests from connected actors to delete tweets were routine.

00:06:28.000 One executive would write to another, more to review from the Biden team, and the reply would come back handled.

00:06:32.000 So you'd get the Biden Democratic campaign basically calling up Twitter and saying, here's a bunch of tweets we don't like, take a look at them.

00:06:41.000 And then Twitter's middle management wouldn't even elevate that to sort of the Jack Dorsey level.

00:06:45.000 They would just say, okay, we handled it, it's gone.

00:06:47.000 Celebrities and unknowns alike could be removed or reviewed at the behest of a political party, says Matt Taibbi.

00:06:53.000 And this includes people including, for example, James Woods.

00:06:56.000 Both parties had access to these tools, says Taibbi.

00:06:58.000 For example, in 2020, requests from both the Trump White House and the Biden campaign were received and honored.

00:07:02.000 However, the system was not balanced.

00:07:04.000 It was based on contact.

00:07:05.000 Because Twitter was and is overwhelmingly staffed by people of one political orientation, there were more channels, more ways to complain open to the left, well, Democrats, than the right.

00:07:14.000 And of course, this is part of the quote-unquote rigged game.

00:07:17.000 We as a company, we deal, Daily Wire does, with people at Facebook, we deal with people at Twitter, but let us just say that the modes of communication are rather narrow for right-wingers.

00:07:28.000 However, if you are on the left, you have a lot of friends who work at places like Twitter, places like Facebook, and so if you have a complaint, it gets handled in short order.

00:07:35.000 As Tayibi says, the resulting slant in content moderation decisions is visible in the documents you're about to read.

00:07:40.000 However, it's also the assessment of multiple current and former high-level executives.

00:07:45.000 Twitter took extraordinary steps to suppress the story, removing links and posting warnings that it may be unsafe.

00:07:59.000 They even blocked its transmission via direct message, a tool hitherto reserved for extreme cases like, for example, child pornography.

00:08:05.000 White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany was locked out of her account for tweeting about the story, prompting a furious letter from Trump campaign staffer Mike Hahn, who ceded to at least pretend to care for the next 20 days.

00:08:15.000 This led to public policy executive Carolyn Strom sending out a polite WTF query.

00:08:20.000 Several employees noted that there was tension between the comms policy team, who had little or less control over moderation, and the safety and trust team.

00:08:26.000 The safety and trust team, as we'll see, is led by Yul Roth.

00:08:29.000 Yul Roth is a far-left winger who's very fond of shutting down information he doesn't like.

00:08:34.000 Strom's note returned the answer that the laptop story had been removed for violation of the company's quote-unquote hack materials policy.

00:08:39.000 And you'll remember that this was largely driven by quote-unquote intelligence experts who had decided that they were going to suggest that this was all Russian disinformation based on literally nothing.

00:08:49.000 And people like John Brennan, the former head of the CIA, out there saying, well, this is probably Russian disinformation.

00:08:54.000 On the base of nothing, there's a letter signed by 100 intelligence experts put out there by the Biden campaign saying that the Hunter Biden laptop really was, it was obviously a Russian plant or something.

00:09:05.000 They based that on nothing.

00:09:07.000 Although, according to Matt Taibbi, several sources recalled hearing about a general warning from federal law enforcement that summer about possible foreign hacks, there's no evidence of any government involvement in the laptop story.

00:09:16.000 In fact, that might have been the problem.

00:09:17.000 The decision was made at the highest levels of the company, but without the knowledge of CEO Jack Dorsey, with former head of legal policy and trust Vijaya Gaddy playing a key role.

00:09:24.000 You'll remember Vijaya Gaddy from such shows as Joe Rogan's, where he just turned her in knots, along with Tim Pool over their failure of content standards.

00:09:32.000 They just sort of randomly suspend people for no apparent reason.

00:09:35.000 And again, this is the middle management problem.

00:09:37.000 You're Jack Dorsey, you hire a bunch of people to handle the day-to-day, and those people who handle the day-to-day do a bad job and shield you from all of the rough decision-making.

00:09:44.000 They just freelanced it, is how one former employee characterized the decision.

00:09:48.000 Hacking was the excuse, but within a few hours, pretty much everyone realized that wasn't going to hold, but no one had the guts to reverse it.

00:09:53.000 You can see the confusion in a lengthy exchange, which ends up including Gaddy and former trust and safety chief, Yoel Roth.

00:09:59.000 Coms official Trenton Kennedy writes, I'm struggling to understand the policy basis for marking this as unsafe.

00:10:04.000 By this point, everyone knew this was F'd, said one former employee, but the response was essentially to err on the side of continuing to err.

00:10:11.000 Yoel Roth wrote, for example, Though as discussed, this is an emerging situation where the facts remain unclear, given the severe risks here and lessons of 2016, we're erring on the side of including a warning and preventing this content from being amplified.

00:10:24.000 I mean, given the lessons of 2016.

00:10:26.000 Again, this was part of the propaganda effort on behalf of Democrats in the media, which is that 2016 was decided by Russian disinformation.

00:10:32.000 And so they were like, we are not going to allow even the, even the remotest whiff of Russian disinformation.

00:10:36.000 And so we're going to shut down the story, even if there is no basis for calling it Russian disinformation.

00:10:41.000 Vijaya Gaddy said, what is the warning that will come up?

00:10:43.000 And Yoel Roth said, when you click the link, you'll see the generic unsafe URL.

00:10:46.000 Not ideal, but that's the only thing that we have.

00:10:50.000 Ian Plunkett, another member of the team, said, Whatever we do in the comms, let's make it clear we're proactively but cautiously interpreting this through the lens of our hacked materials policy and allowing the link with a warning and significant reduction of spread.

00:11:00.000 Former Vice President of Global Commons Brandon Borman asked, Can we truthfully claim this is part of the policy?

00:11:06.000 To which former Deputy General Counsel Jim Baker again seemed to advise staying the non-course because quote-unquote, caution is warranted.

00:11:12.000 So basically they'd been intimidated over at Twitter, the middle management, into believing that it is better to shut down the material than to allow the dissemination of the material.

00:11:18.000 The burden of proof was to prove that the material was not Russian disinformation.

00:11:22.000 The burden of proof was not on Twitter to provide any evidence whatsoever that the Hunter Biden story was actually Russian disinformation.

00:11:31.000 Well, Taibbi points out that there was actually one humorous exchange on day one when Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna reached out to Vijaya Gaddy to gently suggest she hop on the phone to talk about the backlash re-speech.

00:11:40.000 Khanna was the only Democratic official Taibbi could find in the files who expressed concern.

00:11:44.000 Ro Khanna, by the way, I will say this, nice guy.

00:11:46.000 He's been on my show before.

00:11:47.000 We had a good discussion about minimum wage.

00:11:49.000 He apparently emerges as the hero of this story.

00:11:51.000 Gaddy replied quickly, immediately diving into the weeds of Twitter policy, unaware that Khanna was more worried about the Bill of Rights.

00:11:57.000 So I kind of kept saying, like, isn't this sort of a First Amendment violation if you are doing this at the behest of government agencies?

00:12:02.000 And Twitter's like, no, no, no, this is Twitter policy.

00:12:05.000 And Khanna keeps trying to say, is this a First Amendment issue?

00:12:09.000 He said, hope you're well, Vijaya.

00:12:10.000 This seems a violation of First Amendment principles.

00:12:12.000 If there's a hack of classified information or other information that could expose a serious war crime and the New York Times was to publish it, I think the New York Times should have that right. 0.96

00:12:19.000 A journalist should not be held accountable for the illegal actions of the source unless they actively aided the hack.

00:12:23.000 To restrict the distribution of that material, especially regarding a presidential candidate, seems not in keeping with the principles of New York Times versus Sullivan.

00:12:29.000 I say this is a total Biden partisan.

00:12:31.000 Convinced he didn't do anything wrong.

00:12:32.000 The story now has become more about censorship than relatively innocuous emails.

00:12:35.000 It's become a bigger deal than it would have also been.

00:12:38.000 This is correct.

00:12:39.000 Ro Khanna was actually correct.

00:12:40.000 Within a day, the head of public policy, Lorne Culbertson, received a ghastly letter, report, from Carl Szabo of the Research Firm NetChoice, which had already polled 12 members of Congress, 9 Republicans and 3 Democrats, from the House Judiciary Committee.

00:12:53.000 To Representative Judy Chu's office.

00:12:54.000 Netchoice let Twitter know a bloodbath awaited in upcoming Hill hearings with members saying that this whole thing was a tipping point.

00:13:00.000 Jabba reported to Twitter that some Hill figures were characterizing the laptop story as tech's Access Hollywood moment.

00:13:07.000 Jabba's letter contained chilling passages relaying Democratic lawmakers' attitudes.

00:13:10.000 They wanted more moderation.

00:13:11.000 And as for the Bill of Rights, quote unquote, it's not absolute.

00:13:15.000 Apparently the Democrats were complaining the company was inept, that they let conservatives muddy the water and made the Biden campaign look corrupt even though Biden was innocent, and they linked this to Hillary Clinton's email scandal.

00:13:23.000 They said that because she did nothing wrong and that ended up affecting the 2016 election, now we have to shut down the information.

00:13:29.000 So what exactly does all of this show?

00:13:33.000 Well, what it shows is a very, very warm relationship between Twitter's middle management and everybody in the Democratic Party, except for apparently Ro Khanna.

00:13:41.000 What it doesn't show is full-on First Amendment violations in the nature of the government itself intervening and telling Twitter that it had to turn off the spigot on First Amendment activity.

00:13:50.000 And that is not what the Twitter files show.

00:13:52.000 However, that is the dog that's not barking here.

00:13:55.000 Andy McCarthy has a very good piece in the New York Post pointing this out.

00:13:58.000 He says, stop looking for a smoking gun.

00:13:59.000 That's not how this game works.

00:14:01.000 Just as it did in 2016, the Democratic Party colluded during the 2020 presidential campaign with FBI leadership, its like-minded transnational progressives, and the loose-lipped community of current and former national security officials and the media.

00:14:11.000 The objective in 2020 was to try to drag a weak, deeply compromised Democratic candidate across the finish line.

00:14:16.000 The scheme worked in 2020, where it failed in 2016.

00:14:19.000 A big part of the difference was Democrats and their collaborators put 2020 emphasis on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.

00:14:25.000 The result was the systematic suppression of the Biden family corruption scandal.

00:14:29.000 The staggering millions of dollars that are now known to have been poured into the Biden coffers from agents of such authoritarian, anti-American regimes as Russia and China and corrupt ones like Ukraine.

00:14:38.000 Eddie McCarthy says Joe Biden is in it up to his neck, although the media Democrat complex continues branding the scandal as the Hunter Biden probe to obscure Joe Biden's complicity.

00:14:47.000 He says, don't look for a smoking gun.

00:14:48.000 We're not going to see an FBI document that says, tell Twitter the Biden evidence is Russian disinformation.

00:14:53.000 When the new chief twit, Elon Musk, released the so-called Twitter files over the weekend, Matt Taibbi's consequent thread of reporting observed there's no specific evidence of a specific warning to social media that Biden information was sourced to Russia or hacked.

00:15:05.000 However, there is significant evidence of FBI collusion in the scheme.

00:15:09.000 Because the FBI doesn't actually have to issue a specific warning.

00:15:12.000 They just say, by the way, there's lots of Russian disinformation going around.

00:15:16.000 And then all the social media bros, they pick up on this and like, well, you know, we did get really, really bashed around for Russian disinformation last time around.

00:15:23.000 So all you really need is a bunch of former or current intelligence officials going public and saying, this could be Russian disinformation.

00:15:30.000 And all the social media tech bros pick up on this.

00:15:34.000 Did the FBI actually say the Biden evidence was Russian disinformation?

00:15:37.000 It came pretty close, says Andy McCarthy.

00:15:38.000 On Joe Rogan's podcast, Mark Zuckerberg said Facebook restricted the Hunter Biden revolutions due to an FBI warning.

00:15:45.000 Just as there had been a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election, Facebook should be on high alert that there's about to be some kind of dump that's similar to that, which is exactly what the FBI said.

00:15:54.000 And that's how the game is played.

00:15:55.000 It's will no one rid me of this meddlesome priest style stuff.

00:15:59.000 We don't actually have to have the FBI issue a specific Sort of warning about the Hunter Biden laptop story, all you really have to do is just have the FBI issue a generalized warning, and then you have people whispering that this is the manifestation of that theory.

00:16:14.000 So again, the collusion is not perfectly out in the open, which is the game.

00:16:19.000 So the reaction is half the story here.

00:16:21.000 So Elon Musk says that liberal journalists should be looking in the mirror.

00:16:24.000 The reason that they should be looking in the mirror is because many, many, many liberal journalists immediately came out and decided that the problem here is Matt Taibbi.

00:16:33.000 Matt Taibbi should not have distributed this material.

00:16:35.000 These are the journalism experts, guys.

00:16:37.000 These are big, big, big journalists, the journalism people.

00:16:41.000 So for example, Ben Collins, who you'll remember from such things as the Colorado nightclub shooting is the fault of all of the right-wingers until it turns out that the guy who did it actually claims that he is a gender non-binary person.

00:16:52.000 Ben Collins of NBC News, who is a propagandist extraordinaire.

00:16:57.000 He put out a tweet saying, imagine throwing it all away to do PR work for the richest person in the world.

00:17:01.000 Humiliating bleep.

00:17:03.000 It's humiliating for Matt Taibbi to actually release this information.

00:17:06.000 These are journalists.

00:17:07.000 These are the people who want you to have all of the information, except for you.

00:17:11.000 You shouldn't.

00:17:12.000 They should be the ones who filter the information.

00:17:14.000 And then he tweeted out, speak truth to power.

00:17:17.000 But then he put a bunch of asterisks and he says, what this really means is it tweets selective leaks from the richest man in the world for power.

00:17:24.000 So basically Matt Taibbi was was being used by Elon Musk.

00:17:27.000 Now, are we better off having this information?

00:17:29.000 Sure, we are.

00:17:30.000 But not according to Ben Collins.

00:17:31.000 It's very good to suppress information. 1.00

00:17:33.000 You are too stupid to understand the information. 1.00

00:17:35.000 It would be bad for you to understand the information. 1.00

00:17:37.000 Chris Hayes of MSNBC tweeted, watching some of the most famous, most powerful and richest men red pill themselves into disaster.

00:17:43.000 Pretty wild.

00:17:45.000 Most powerful and richest.

00:17:46.000 Red pill themselves in disaster pretty well. 0.62

00:17:47.000 Mehdi Hassan, who used to work for Al Jazeera, so he knows a fair bit about taking money from rich oligarchs.

00:17:53.000 He put out a tweet saying, imagine volunteering to do online PR work for the world's richest man on a Friday night in service of nakedly and cynically right-wing narratives and then pretending you're speaking truth to power.

00:18:03.000 Well, maybe you guys are the power.

00:18:05.000 Maybe when it comes to the media infrastructure, you guys are the power.

00:18:08.000 Maybe the former power or the heads of Twitter and the management level who are shutting down information.

00:18:13.000 And then Manny Hassan can't stop himself.

00:18:15.000 He continues, oh, and doing it at the end of the same week, the richest man alive unbalanced, unbanned a bunch of neo-Nazis on this website.

00:18:21.000 But sure, the laptop, the laptop, man, the distraction tactics from these folks is astonishing.

00:18:27.000 They have to distract because that's all they have.

00:18:29.000 Because again, they can't acknowledge that this story is a big story.

00:18:33.000 It is, in fact, a big story when Twitter is working with the Democratic Party in order to shut down major stories damaging their candidate just before an election at the vague behest of the FBI.

00:18:43.000 That's a pretty massive story and a pretty serious First Amendment violation, at least in spirit, if not in actual practice.

00:18:50.000 But again, these are the journalism-ing experts.

00:18:55.000 They're not enemies of you.

00:18:57.000 They want you to have the information, but the information that they want you to have is the information that you should get.

00:19:03.000 If Jason Schreier from Bloomberg, quote, this thread should be taught in journalism school as evidence of the importance of editors.

00:19:09.000 Because otherwise, you know, the editors, they're the ones who make sure you don't get the information.

00:19:12.000 Wajahat Ali, world's worst columnist, he says, Elon Musk is the richest white nationalist on earth.

00:19:19.000 Did you know he's a white nationalist, Elon Musk?

00:19:20.000 I didn't know that. 1.00

00:19:21.000 But Wajahat Ali knows that because he's a moron. 1.00

00:19:23.000 I don't know. 0.99

00:19:23.000 Is it worth it to work for Al Jazeera, Wajahat? 0.99

00:19:24.000 White nationalist on earth.

00:19:26.000 Elon Musk is the richest white nationalist on earth.

00:19:27.000 Did you know he's a white nationalist, Elon Musk?

00:19:29.000 I didn't know that. 1.00

00:19:30.000 But Wajahat Ali knows that because he's a moron. 1.00

00:19:32.000 Well, he'll eat well for the rest of his life, I guess. 0.99

00:19:34.000 But is it worth it, says Wajahat Ali?

00:19:36.000 I don't know, is it worth it to work for Al Jazeera, Wajahat?

00:19:38.000 I don't know.

00:19:39.000 Wesley Lowry, who is the wildly partisan reporter formerly of the Washington Post, said an article really would have worked better I mean, just, uh, wow.

00:19:50.000 That's, uh, that's great, Wesley.

00:19:52.000 And you have John Neffel from the, um, from the Media Matters for America crew.

00:19:52.000 Thank you.

00:19:57.000 He says, the Taibbi thread is a great example of overwriting when you don't have the goods, but you don't want to admit you're just doing PR for the world's richest person.

00:20:05.000 Or Hannah Geist from the SPLC, the Southern Poverty Law Center, tweeting out something similar.

00:20:09.000 I mean, all of the left-wingers, blue checks, were out there doing this routine. 1.00

00:20:15.000 So, Hannah Geist tweeted out, I just have a question.

00:20:18.000 Everyone writing for the Washington Post is working for Jeff Bezos, one of the richest men in the world.

00:20:22.000 on a site that they own and are desperate to drive traffic to.

00:20:24.000 I just have a question.

00:20:26.000 Everyone writing for the Washington Post is working for Jeff Bezos, one of the richest men in the world.

00:20:30.000 Turns out the owners of the New York Times, pretty rich.

00:20:33.000 But again, these journalism experts, they don't want...

00:20:37.000 This is the whole point that they're proving the point.

00:20:40.000 The point is that the journalism mechanisms are broken and they are essentially run by Democratic partisan hacks and social media is run by similarly minded Democratic partisan hacks and so they can shut down the free flow of information.

00:20:51.000 We'll get to more on this in just one second.

00:20:53.000 First, there's a lot going on in the world right now.

00:20:55.000 There's a lot going on in my family right now.

00:20:57.000 And this means I'm just not getting the kind of sleep that I am used to.

00:21:00.000 Except that I am saved each and every night by my Helix Sleep Mattress.

00:21:04.000 Because I lie down on that thing and it is off to dreamland for me.

00:21:07.000 This mattress was made just for me because they gave me a personalized quiz.

00:21:10.000 I took that quiz and then they made a mattress that was personalized just for me.

00:21:13.000 A mattress should not be a one-size-fits-all solution.

00:21:16.000 Why should you have to compromise on comfort?

00:21:17.000 Helix has a sleep quiz that matches your body type and sleep preferences to the perfect mattress for you.

00:21:21.000 Because why would you buy a mattress made for somebody else?

00:21:23.000 I took that Helix quiz.

00:21:24.000 I was matched with a firm but breathable model.

00:21:26.000 I tend to heat up at night, and if the mattress is too soft, I get back pain.

00:21:28.000 Helix fixes all of that up for me.

00:21:30.000 Go to helixsleep.com slash ben.

00:21:32.000 Take that two-minute sleep quiz the way I did.

00:21:33.000 Find the perfect mattress for your body and sleep type.

00:21:35.000 Your mattress will come right to your door, shipped for free.

00:21:37.000 Helix has a 10-year warranty.

00:21:39.000 You get to try it out for 100 nights risk-free.

00:21:40.000 They'll even pick it up for you if you don't love it, but you will.

00:21:42.000 Helix has over 12,000 five-star reviews.

00:21:45.000 There's a reason for that.

00:21:45.000 For a limited time, Helix is offering up to $350 off all mattress orders, plus two free pillows for our listeners.

00:21:50.000 It's an amazing offer.

00:21:51.000 Take advantage of it at helixsleep.com slash Ben with Helix.

00:21:54.000 Better sleep starts right now.

00:21:56.000 Also, it's been a hard year economically, and that means that essential practical gifts are in high demand this year.

00:22:02.000 Give the greatest gift of all, the gift that says love.

00:22:04.000 American-made meat and seafood from Good Ranchers.

00:22:07.000 With discounts on orders of five boxes or more, you can save on gifts for the whole family.

00:22:11.000 When you give a box of Good Ranchers, you're giving them a true steakhouse experience with 100% American, USDA Prime, and Upper Choice cuts of beef, chicken, and seafood.

00:22:20.000 Other meat delivery companies, even your local grocery stores, import lower quality meat from overseas.

00:22:24.000 Don't give your friends and family less than America's Best this year.

00:22:26.000 If you're not sure what to order, Good Ranchers now offers gift cards.

00:22:29.000 You can let your friends and family members choose for themselves, or give the gift of a subscription and inflation-proof somebody's meat budget.

00:22:35.000 Let me tell you, the meat from Good Ranchers is fantastic.

00:22:38.000 They actually gave me a kosher steak.

00:22:39.000 It was spectacular.

00:22:40.000 Go to GoodRanchers.com.

00:22:41.000 Use code Ben and check out to get $35 off your gift.

00:22:44.000 That is GoodRanchers.com.

00:22:45.000 Code Ben and get $35 off right now. 0.98

00:22:48.000 It is the gift of the holiday season.

00:22:50.000 GoodRanchers.com.

00:22:51.000 Again, use code Ben and check out, get $35 off your gift.

00:22:55.000 Good Ranchers, American meat delivered.

00:22:57.000 So Elon Musk responds to all of this.

00:22:59.000 He says that these liberal journalists who are slamming Matt Taibbi, they should be looking in the mirror because I thought that they were all about making sure that you had all the information you needed.

00:23:07.000 A lot of liberal news reporters came out and really slammed Matt Taibbi, which was really shocking.

00:23:15.000 What was your response to that?

00:23:17.000 Well, I think those people should be looking in the mirror and wondering why they were deceptive.

00:23:23.000 Why did they deceive the American public?

00:23:25.000 And instead of trying to redirect blame to Matt Taibbi, they should be accepting some responsibility themselves for not being truthful to the American public.

00:23:35.000 Well, yeah, but they're not going to do that, of course.

00:23:36.000 By the way, it is worth noting that many of the former Twitter people, many of the former tweets before Elon Musk took over and fired pretty much everybody, many of them just say this sort of stuff out loud, that they actually shut down information they don't like.

00:23:47.000 So, for example, Yoel Roth, who's one of the worst actors here, Vijay Gady is one of them and Yoel Roth is another of them.

00:23:53.000 Yoel Roth basically said the reason that we shut down Donald Trump's account is because moderators were experiencing all sorts of trauma.

00:24:02.000 So, I mean, like people were mean to them on Twitter and sending them mean DMs.

00:24:08.000 You shut down the account of the current.

00:24:10.000 I mean, at that time, Donald Trump was the president of the United States, the most powerful person on Earth.

00:24:14.000 You shut down his account because your moderators were having mean tweets sent to them.

00:24:19.000 Here is y'all Roth.

00:24:21.000 Donald Trump.

00:24:23.000 That one I don't think was a mistake.

00:24:24.000 January 6th.

00:24:25.000 So it starts on the 6th, but it also starts prior to that.

00:24:30.000 The events of the 6th happen.

00:24:32.000 And if you talk to content moderators who worked on January 6th, myself included, the word that nearly everybody uses is trauma.

00:24:41.000 We experienced those events, not some of us as Americans, but not just as Americans or as citizens, but as people working on sort of how to prevent harm on the internet.

00:24:53.000 How to prevent harm on the internet.

00:24:55.000 Trauma. 0.97

00:24:56.000 You, you whiners. 0.99

00:24:58.000 I mean, honest to God, you whiners. 0.99

00:25:00.000 It's amazing. 0.88

00:25:01.000 If you're gonna talk about people who've been targeted on Twitter before, I'm at the top of that list, okay?

00:25:05.000 In 2015, 2016, I was hit by a non-stop wave of garbage on Twitter.

00:25:09.000 By the way, I've been hit by like a non-stop wave in the last couple of weeks on Twitter because of Kanye West deciding for some reason that I am his worst enemy or something. 0.97

00:25:20.000 So I've been hit by like a nonstop wave of this garbage.

00:25:23.000 And then I say that Kanye West should not be banned from Twitter, even though he's personally targeting me on Twitter. 0.93

00:25:29.000 Why?

00:25:29.000 Well, because as it turns out, being insulted on Twitter is not the equivalent of somebody doing you violence.

00:25:34.000 That's not how any of this works.

00:25:36.000 And if you're a moderator, it is literally your job to wade through the sewage. 0.72

00:25:40.000 I mean, this is the equivalent of your garbage man whose job it is to pick up your garbage and throw it into the giant truck being like, man, I can't be near this garbage.

00:25:48.000 It really smells like, like we know this is literally your job. 0.95

00:25:51.000 You're a moderator experiencing trauma.

00:25:54.000 Again, that is not the standard.

00:25:55.000 The standard is not whether your moderators are insulted, whether your purple haired interns with a neck tattoo are very insulted by the fact that there are people on Twitter who are mean to them and give them the feels.

00:26:06.000 I don't like those people. 1.00

00:26:07.000 I think those people are jerks. 1.00

00:26:08.000 Also, your moderator is what you're paid for. 1.00

00:26:10.000 You don't ban the President of the United States based on that.

00:26:13.000 But they did.

00:26:15.000 And notice the appeal to the feelings here is really amazing.

00:26:19.000 You're the head of safety and moderation at one of the biggest social media platforms in the history of mankind.

00:26:27.000 And because you got the feels, you got the sads, because people were mean to you on the tweeters, now you have to ban accounts?

00:26:34.000 This is how it was run?

00:26:36.000 Are you worried about these Twitter files coming out?

00:26:38.000 What was that experience like having Kellyanne, who's always in control of herself, siccing this mega trolls on you? 1.00

00:26:46.000 It's terrifying.

00:26:47.000 All of a sudden we apply a misinformation label to Donald Trump's account and I'm on the cover of the New York Post.

00:26:53.000 And that is a deeply terrifying experience.

00:26:56.000 And I say this from a position of Unquestioned privilege as a cis white male.

00:27:03.000 Like, the internet is much scarier and much worse for lots of other people who aren't me, but it was pretty f***ing scary for a long time. 0.52

00:27:12.000 Good lord, this dude.

00:27:14.000 Good lord.

00:27:15.000 As a cis white male.

00:27:16.000 First of all, anybody who uses that phrase should be unemployable for the rest of their life. 0.96

00:27:20.000 Cis white male. 0.96

00:27:22.000 As a cis white male.

00:27:23.000 I mean, it was scary for me.

00:27:24.000 Imagine how it was for all of the other people.

00:27:26.000 First of all, there are a lot of people who are cis white males, as you say, who are targeted online.

00:27:31.000 And then it turns out that a lot of people targeting those people are not cis white males. 0.99

00:27:33.000 Like, what is this stupid game that we have to play? 1.00

00:27:35.000 But again, this is the game. 1.00

00:27:37.000 A bunch of woke lefties like Yoel Roth deciding who gets to speak and how.

00:27:41.000 I pointed out last week that since Elon Musk took over, I personally on my Twitter account have gained at this point 800,000 followers in like three weeks.

00:27:52.000 The reason for that is suppression.

00:27:54.000 There's no other rationale for this because of people like Yoel Roth, who's very insulted by the fact that people have other opinions.

00:27:59.000 Yoel Roth defended, by the way, banning the Babylon Bee for the great crime of noticing that Rachel Levine, who is the Undersecretary of Health and Human Services, is a dude.

00:28:08.000 And Yoel Roth is like, we have to ban the Babylon Bee.

00:28:10.000 I mean, after all, it's mean and nasty and tells jokes I don't like.

00:28:15.000 Okay, Babylon B, which is what got him to buy the thing, I think.

00:28:18.000 That's the one which was not particularly funny.

00:28:22.000 The Babylon B's man of the year is Rachel Levine.

00:28:25.000 Twitter's written policies prohibit misgendering.

00:28:29.000 Full stop.

00:28:30.000 And the Babylon B, in the name of satire, misgendered Admiral Rachel Levine.

00:28:36.000 You know, we landed on the side of enforcing our rules as written.

00:28:41.000 Wow, I mean, well, you landed on the side when they threatened it. 0.55

00:28:47.000 This sort of garbage is the reason why Elon Musk is releasing all of the information. 0.89

00:28:51.000 This is the reason and the journalists are mad about it. 0.98

00:28:53.000 They're upset about it and all the rest.

00:28:54.000 OK, so.

00:28:56.000 This prompted Donald Trump to sound off as it should.

00:29:00.000 It's amazing how often the left forces people into sympathy with the former president of the United States.

00:29:05.000 This was the great theme of his presidency and his campaign in 2015, 2016, when people seem to be attacking Trump unfairly in many ways.

00:29:13.000 A lot of Americans said this is unfair and they sided with Trump.

00:29:15.000 And then when he was president, he was with the Russian collusion stuff.

00:29:17.000 A lot of people like this seems unfair and they sided with Trump.

00:29:20.000 And now all of these revelations are coming out that the Twitter middle management was basically dominated by Democrats who were working hand in glove with the Joe Biden campaign.

00:29:29.000 At the sort of vague behest of governmental powers like the FBI.

00:29:34.000 And they're sympathetic to Trump.

00:29:36.000 And here's the thing about President Trump.

00:29:38.000 He has the unique gift of turning victory into defeat because I don't understand what he is thinking here.

00:29:44.000 I understand his feeling.

00:29:45.000 I get it.

00:29:47.000 His feeling that he was jobbed in the 2020 election by a media that was designated as his enemy.

00:29:53.000 I don't think that he's wrong about that.

00:29:54.000 I think that the media intervened in unique, extraordinary ways in the election of 2020, particularly as a reaction to 2016.

00:30:00.000 They didn't want Trump to win.

00:30:02.000 They thought he was definitely going to lose.

00:30:03.000 He didn't lose.

00:30:04.000 And then they all decided they were just going to become open partisan hacks on behalf of his opponents, up to and including pressuring social media networks to shut down the dissemination of information, even if it meant suppressing fellow journalists at the New York Post.

00:30:15.000 So I understand Trump's outrage.

00:30:17.000 I agree with Trump's outrage.

00:30:19.000 I even agree that the Democratic Party and members of the left-wing media have no problem with subverting the Constitution itself.

00:30:26.000 They don't say so openly.

00:30:27.000 What they like to do is instead gut the Constitution, then wear around its face as a mask.

00:30:31.000 This is their favorite thing, is the Hannibal Lecter Constitution.

00:30:33.000 And they like to take all of the content of the Constitution, rip it out, and then just wear around the Constitution saying, well, at least we still stand for the... This is like Joe Biden saying, it's unconstitutional for me to abolish student loan debt, and then him just doing it.

00:30:47.000 Or Barack Obama saying, I don't have the power to actually just relieve immigration law when it comes to the Dreamers, and then just doing it.

00:30:56.000 Or I have a pen and a phone.

00:30:57.000 Or we can get rid of the Electoral College.

00:31:00.000 Or let's abolish the Senate. 1.00

00:31:02.000 Or Stacey Abrams is the actual governor of Georgia.

00:31:04.000 All the institutions, they gut them, and then they pretend they haven't gotten them.

00:31:07.000 So that's the game.

00:31:09.000 They tend to be a little more subtle about how exactly they gut the Constitution.

00:31:12.000 They pretend that the Constitution, for example, doesn't protect religious freedom to the extent necessary where a Christian baker does not have to bake a transgender cake or something.

00:31:23.000 They'll say that the Constitution doesn't protect that guy.

00:31:26.000 The left is perfectly willing to put aside the Constitution, ignore the Constitution, hate the Constitution.

00:31:30.000 Some of them are pretty open about this.

00:31:32.000 But generally, they tend to be a little bit more subtle.

00:31:34.000 I get all of that.

00:31:36.000 That still does not explain why Donald Trump does things like he did.

00:31:40.000 So, December 3rd, right?

00:31:42.000 This is Saturday, right?

00:31:43.000 So the story has emerged on Friday night.

00:31:44.000 And Donald Trump, then, because he is strategy-free, because he has the unique gift of turning victory into defeat, Donald Trump tweets out on Truth Social, quote, So, with the revelation of massive and widespread fraud and deception in working closely with big tech companies, the DNC, and the Democratic Party, do you throw the presidential election results of 2020 out and declare the rightful winner?

00:32:08.000 Or do you have a new election?

00:32:10.000 A massive fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.

00:32:15.000 Our great founders did not want and would not condone false and fraudulent elections.

00:32:20.000 Okay, so here's the thing.

00:32:21.000 That last sentence is true. 0.94

00:32:23.000 Our founders did not want and would not condone false and fraudulent elections.

00:32:27.000 Also, the election process was certified.

00:32:30.000 Votes were cast.

00:32:32.000 Those votes were not fraudulent.

00:32:34.000 Again, all of the efforts to prove that there was massive, widespread, hundreds of thousands of votes fraud in the 2020 election, Donald Trump failed to prove all of that in court.

00:32:41.000 He didn't even allege that in court, by the way.

00:32:43.000 But so I understand the passion.

00:32:46.000 I understand his outrage when he says that we have the capacity to throw the results of the election out and declare him the rightful winner.

00:32:54.000 Or hold a new election.

00:32:56.000 And we get to suspend the Constitution.

00:32:58.000 All he's doing is granting to his opponents their premise about him, which is that he actually wants to suspend the Constitution.

00:33:05.000 That he doesn't like the Constitution, that he hates the Constitution, that he wants to rip it up, that he's a fascist, that he's an authoritarian.

00:33:10.000 And what he's really doing is granting the media a get-out-of-jail-free card, because all the questions this weekend, and for the foreseeable future, should have been about why the media was complicit in the silencing of members of its own journalistic body.

00:33:23.000 And members of the fourth estate, like why is it that the media were perfectly willing to subjugate their own press interests on behalf of Democratic Party interests?

00:33:31.000 That's what every question was going to be about.

00:33:32.000 And you know what Donald Trump could have done here?

00:33:34.000 What Donald Trump could have done is he could have said, so with the revelation of massive deception and working closely with big tech companies, the DNC and the Democratic Party, shouldn't you give me another shot in a clear, fairly run election?

00:33:46.000 I mean, he's running for the nomination right now.

00:33:48.000 Gary declared.

00:33:49.000 Couldn't he be saying, the predicate of me running in 2024 is to correct the error, failure, and sin of 2020.

00:33:56.000 People voted on a false basis.

00:33:58.000 Give me another shot.

00:33:59.000 And I will go in there.

00:34:01.000 And I will make sure that, for example, the FBI is restructured so that they don't intervene in elections in this way as they did in 2016 and in 2020.

00:34:08.000 They won't do that anymore.

00:34:10.000 Right?

00:34:10.000 Couldn't he do that?

00:34:11.000 But he's not doing that.

00:34:12.000 Instead, because he doesn't think through what comes out of his fingers, because there is no brain-finger barrier for the president, the former president of the United States, instead he tweets this out.

00:34:21.000 And so what does that allow?

00:34:22.000 That allows for the Democrats to swivel and hit him and hit other Republicans.

00:34:26.000 And so the story this weekend, because Donald Trump stepped directly on the rake, The story this weekend was not about Twitter.

00:34:33.000 The story was not about the despicable collusion between Big Tech and the Democratic Party and the FBI.

00:34:38.000 That was not the story. 0.99

00:34:40.000 The story this weekend was about whatever dumb crap Trump decided to put on Truth Social. 0.99

00:34:44.000 That is a strategic error. 0.99

00:34:45.000 Even if you are sympathetic to him, as I am, I'm sympathetic to what happened to him in the last month of the election.

00:34:50.000 Frankly, I'm sympathetic to him for the last year of the election.

00:34:53.000 In the last year of the election, it was just lies upon lies upon lies.

00:34:56.000 Ranging from the lies of Black Lives Matter, that America was systemically racist, driven by the white supremacy of Trump, to the lies about COVID, that Donald Trump was uniquely badly handling COVID while everybody else around the world was handling it absolutely wonderfully. 0.96

00:35:09.000 Donald Trump was the real disaster.

00:35:11.000 I'm very sympathetic to all of that.

00:35:14.000 What I'm not sympathetic to is bad strategy.

00:35:16.000 What the president is doing right here, creating an entire news cycle on behalf of his political opponents.

00:35:21.000 We'll get to that in just one moment.

00:35:23.000 First, now that the midterms are over, it's time for some real change.

00:35:26.000 Inflation isn't going to go away overnight.

00:35:28.000 If the current administration keeps handing out free checks, well, it'll take a while for it to go away, actually.

00:35:32.000 The typical investment portfolio right now is 60-40 stocks and bonds, and it's down by 34%.

00:35:36.000 This is the worst drop in a century.

00:35:38.000 Millions of Americans have been taking a hit.

00:35:40.000 So what can you do to set things right?

00:35:41.000 Well, you can invest in assets with low correlation that the executive branch can't actually screw with.

00:35:45.000 Invest in assets that aren't dragged down by the stock market, like fine art with Masterworks.

00:35:49.000 Fine art is so disconnected from stocks that even a 60-40 portfolios were losing this last year.

00:35:54.000 Fine art was selling for 26% more than it was just last year.

00:35:57.000 Just recently, Masterworks sold a painting for a 21.5% net return to their investors.

00:36:02.000 Go to masterworks.com and sign up for Masterworks Invest alongside me.

00:36:06.000 That's masterworks.comslashben to join Masterworks today.

00:36:10.000 Before deciding to invest, carefully review important regulation aid disclosures at masterworks.comslashcd.

00:36:16.000 Again, the way that rich people invest, one of the ways is they get some really fine art.

00:36:19.000 You can do that on a fractional basis by heading on over to masterworks.comslashben and joining Masterworks today.

00:36:51.000 They're awesome.

00:36:52.000 Earlier this fall, Jordan and our production team went to Washington, D.C., filmed a beautiful and engaging documentary on the Museum of the Bible.

00:36:57.000 It's called Logos and Literacy.

00:36:59.000 In it, Jordan meets with historians, theologians, and philosophers to discuss the history of the Bible and its influence on the world.

00:37:05.000 Now, folks, this is all content that is only available to Daily Wire Plus members.

00:37:16.000 That is dailywire.com slash ben today.

00:37:19.000 So again, as I say, the story today should be about Twitter and its suppression of information leading up to the 2020 election.

00:37:25.000 Instead, the media were handed a gift on a platter of President Trump saying that we should cancel the Constitution, hold the new election, make him president or something.

00:37:31.000 None of those things are available in the Constitution.

00:37:33.000 The proper solution for this would be theoretically impeachment of the current president, which is not going to happen, or a new election to be held at its allotted time because this election was legally held.

00:37:44.000 Again, not like a lot of things about what happened in the last election, how it went, the suppression of stories leading up to it.

00:37:49.000 I agree with a lot of that.

00:37:51.000 The election's been held.

00:37:52.000 Biden's the president.

00:37:53.000 Now Trump is running again.

00:37:55.000 So now would be a good time for him to use this as the basis for his relaunch, but he's not doing that. 0.99

00:37:58.000 Instead, he's out there fuming on Truth Social about how we need to overthrow the Constitution, which allows for this kind of crap.

00:38:03.000 So the entire weekend was now dominated by news anchors asking random Republican politicians what they think of Donald Trump wanting to cancel the Constitution.

00:38:11.000 The art of politics, folks, is making it very difficult to vote for your opponent and making it very easy to vote for you.

00:38:17.000 The problem for Donald Trump is that he makes it very, very difficult to vote for his opponents. 1.00

00:38:20.000 It makes it very, very difficult for people to vote for him or to support him because he says dumb crap. 0.97

00:38:24.000 And when he says that sort of stuff, it puts people in a bad position, including sitting Republican Congress people who are now forced into the position of having to answer questions as to whether they support the guy who says we should cancel the Constitution and just had dinner with Nick Fuentes, which is exactly what the gankers want. 0.98

00:38:37.000 This is what the media want.

00:38:39.000 Do not feed, don't feed the trolls. 0.94

00:38:41.000 The media are the trolls. 0.92

00:38:43.000 Stop giving them what they want.

00:38:45.000 But that's what they wanted, and that's what they got.

00:38:47.000 So here's Margaret Brennan on CBS grilling Representative Mike Turner on Trump's statements about the Constitution.

00:38:53.000 A massive fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.

00:39:03.000 Should the standard bearer for the Republican Party, the frontrunner for the nomination for the presidency for your party in 2024, say this?

00:39:13.000 Well, you know, I vehemently disagree with the statement that Trump has made.

00:39:19.000 Trump has made, you know, a thousand statements in which I disagree.

00:39:24.000 There is a political process that has to go forward before anybody... Constitutional conservatives are pretty clear about where they value the Constitution.

00:39:32.000 Right, exactly.

00:39:32.000 Is there any scenario with suspending the Constitution?

00:39:35.000 You do get to pick the questions, but I do get to pick my answer.

00:39:37.000 I know, I'm trying to get you to answer the question I'm asking.

00:39:40.000 There is a political process that has to go forward before anybody's a frontrunner or anybody is even the candidate.

00:39:48.000 I mean, look how eager Margaret Brennan is.

00:39:50.000 His answer doesn't matter.

00:39:50.000 Look how eager Margaret Brennan is.

00:39:52.000 The question here is the media.

00:39:53.000 The media are loving this.

00:39:55.000 Don't feed the media.

00:39:55.000 They're loving it.

00:39:57.000 Same thing from Jake Tapper at CNN.

00:39:58.000 He's questioning Representative Mike Lawler from New York on Trump's Constitution statement.

00:40:01.000 All these Congress people were booked in order to talk about what the future Republican agenda is going to be come January.

00:40:07.000 And instead, they get questions about Donald Trump and whether he wants to overthrow the Constitution, which again, he doesn't have the power to do.

00:40:13.000 He wouldn't have the power to do even if he were the president.

00:40:15.000 He certainly doesn't have the power to recall the election. 0.99

00:40:17.000 So it's just foolish. 0.96

00:40:18.000 What exactly was the tactic? 0.97

00:40:18.000 There is no tactic. 0.97

00:40:20.000 And all the people who think it's 40 underwater, upside down, hungry, hungry hippos, it ain't.

00:40:24.000 It ain't.

00:40:25.000 Here's Jake Tapper grilling a Republican congressperson, making Republicans look bad again.

00:40:29.000 What is your reaction to Donald Trump calling for the termination of the U.S.

00:40:33.000 Constitution?

00:40:35.000 Well, obviously I don't support that.

00:40:38.000 The Constitution is set for a reason, to protect the rights of every American.

00:40:44.000 And so, I certainly don't endorse that language or that sentiment.

00:40:51.000 I think the question for everyone is how we move forward.

00:40:55.000 You know, I ran for Congress to address the challenges that we're facing Uh, and be forward looking.

00:41:03.000 Uh, frankly, I think people are tired of looking backwards.

00:41:06.000 I think people are tired.

00:41:08.000 Okay, so again, this is like, then the media are doing what they want to do here.

00:41:10.000 ABC's George Stephanopoulos, again, spent the weekend grilling Republican Congress people who were booked, not to talk about this, on this.

00:41:17.000 So when those Republican Congress people saw Trump's truth socially, they must have been like, oh God, now I have to deal with this on the Sunday shows.

00:41:24.000 Here's George Stephanopoulos grilling Representative Dave Joyce from Indiana on Trump's statements about the Constitution.

00:41:30.000 Can you support a candidate in 2024 who's for suspending the Constitution?

00:41:34.000 Well, again, it's early.

00:41:35.000 I think there's going to be a lot of people in the primary.

00:41:37.000 I think at the end of the day, whoever the Republicans end to pick, I'll fall in behind because that's... Even if it's Donald Trump and he's called for suspending the Constitution?

00:41:47.000 Well, again, I think it's going to be a big field.

00:41:49.000 I don't think Donald Trump's going to clear out the field like he did in the 60s.

00:41:51.000 That's not what I'm asking.

00:41:52.000 I'm asking you, if he's the nominee, will you support him?

00:41:56.000 Okay, so again, this is the game they want to play.

00:41:58.000 This is the game they want to play.

00:41:59.000 Okay, now again, the game that they want to play is, will you preemptively disavow a person who may be quite likely to win the nomination of your party based on comments that he's giving today?

00:42:09.000 This is the game the media would love to play, because again, the whole game here is For the media, they want Trump to be nominated, because then they want Trump to run against Joe Biden, and they think that Trump will lose again.

00:42:19.000 They might be wrong.

00:42:21.000 Maybe Trump bucks all odds, and that's not what happens.

00:42:23.000 But that is what they want, and they want to make people uncomfortable.

00:42:26.000 So don't give them that. 0.90

00:42:28.000 Now, the hypocrisy is absolutely galling.

00:42:30.000 I will say that. 0.98

00:42:31.000 The hypocrisy for the Democrats on this sort of stuff, it does stick in my craw, because them claiming that they love the Constitution is just such vomitricious nonsense. 0.98

00:42:41.000 It's nausea-inducing. 0.96

00:42:43.000 Joe Biden doesn't give a bleep about the Constitution.

00:42:46.000 He doesn't care.

00:42:48.000 This is a guy who routinely disregards the Constitution over and over, whether it's an OSHA VAX mandate or whether it is relieving student loan debt.

00:42:55.000 This is a president who just does whatever he wants and then pretends that he cares about the Constitution.

00:42:59.000 But all of this allows him to play this game.

00:43:01.000 So Joe Biden over the weekend slammed President Trump.

00:43:05.000 He put out a statement.

00:43:07.000 Saying the American Constitution is a sacrosanct document that for over 200 years has guaranteed that freedom and the rule of law prevail in our great country.

00:43:13.000 The Constitution brings the American people together, regardless of party, and elected leaders swear to uphold it.

00:43:18.000 It's the ultimate monument to all of the Americans who have given their lives to defeat self-serving despots that abused their power and trampled on fundamental rights.

00:43:24.000 Attacking the Constitution and all it stands for is anathema to the soul of our nation and should be universally condemned.

00:43:29.000 You cannot only love America when you win.

00:43:30.000 Again, this sort of language from Joe Biden is so galling because Democrats Very often, only love America when they win.

00:43:36.000 Look at the polling data.

00:43:38.000 When Democrats are president, Democrats love America.

00:43:40.000 When Republicans are president, Democrats are very wishy-washy on the United States.

00:43:44.000 But don't feed them.

00:43:45.000 Don't give them that.

00:43:48.000 One of the things that is most galling about this, honestly, is that again, Democrats do not If Republicans ran on the Constitution, they would win.

00:43:56.000 Handing that baton to the other side because you are miffed over what happened, correctly miffed over what happened in 2020, is an act of foolishness that allows Democrats to escape the consequences of their own malaction.

00:44:08.000 It's very, very frustrating.

00:44:10.000 Alrighty, guys, the rest of the show is continuing right now.

00:44:11.000 You're not going to want to miss it.

00:44:12.000 We'll be taking your phone calls.

00:44:14.000 Plus, we will be getting into the Democrats recapitulating their 2024 primary schedule, lining it up for maybe Kamala Harris.
