The Ben Shapiro Show - Trump CRUSHES Corpse Biden in DISASTER Debate

00:00:00.000 Well, last night was the first and probably only debate between Donald Trump, former President of the United States, and Joe Biden, the current President of the United States.

00:00:08.000 I said before this debate, it was going to be one of the only debates in my lifetime that really, really mattered.

00:00:11.000 It was going to be a turning point in this process because there's no new information that's been added to this process for legitimately a year.

00:00:18.000 And it was going to go one way or it was going to go the other, but the worst possible thing that could happen for Joe Biden was for him to show up on stage and fall apart.

00:00:26.000 And that is precisely what happened last night.

00:00:29.000 Donald Trump was disciplined.

00:00:30.000 Donald Trump gave the best debate performance of his career, but he did it on a night where Joe Biden assumed room temperature.

00:00:37.000 Joe Biden effectively died on the stage last night.

00:00:40.000 I don't even mean that in terms of a figurative performance.

00:00:43.000 I mean, he looked as though he was physically going to die on the stage.

00:00:47.000 It was pretty horrifying on a sort of emotional level.

00:00:50.000 To watch an 81-year-old man being trotted out there by his team, by the Democratic Party, by his family, to be humiliated on national television in front of hundreds of millions of people.

00:01:01.000 As an American, it was deeply depressing and disturbing because you know that the most evil people around the world are looking at this and they are licking their chops.

00:01:08.000 They feel like they now have a window between now and when Donald Trump presumably takes office in January, where they gotta go.

00:01:15.000 The world just became a much more dangerous place.

00:01:18.000 The feeling when watching this was stunned disbelief.

00:01:21.000 Just absolute stunned disbelief because I think everybody kind of thought, okay, so they'll shoot Biden filled with that cocktail of his and he'll probably just make it through.

00:01:29.000 It'll probably be okay.

00:01:30.000 And then the question will be whether Trump is too volatile or Trump blows right past the moderators or whatever it is.

00:01:35.000 And again, we'll get to Trump's performance, which I thought was outstanding.

00:01:39.000 For Donald Trump, this was easily the best performance of his life.

00:01:42.000 He kept himself contained.

00:01:43.000 He kept himself restrained.

00:01:45.000 He was appointed when he needed to be.

00:01:47.000 But this debate was not about Donald Trump.

00:01:49.000 It was all about Joe Biden.

00:01:50.000 And that is why this race is now all about Joe Biden.

00:01:53.000 The sheer panic breaking out among Democrats this morning is astonishing to watch.

00:01:58.000 There is open talk, not like behind closed doors, open talk by nearly every major Democrat in the media, including public officials.

00:02:06.000 About whether they even have the ability to remove Joe Biden from the ticket.

00:02:10.000 Remember, we are less than two months out from the Democratic National Convention.

00:02:15.000 All the delegates have already been pledged.

00:02:18.000 They would have to force Joe Biden on a personal level to either resign the office to Kamala Harris, declare that he is not going to run again and thereby free up his delegates, or they would have to wrest it from him in some sort of coup.

00:02:30.000 And by the way, it really isn't the DNC.

00:02:31.000 The DNC is all for optics.

00:02:34.000 They actually have a sort of fake DNC, a virtual convention, where they are going to ensure that the nominee is nominated.

00:02:40.000 That is 40 days from now.

00:02:42.000 There is no time for any of this if you are a Democrat.

00:02:46.000 The state of insane panic that is breaking out in the Democratic Party is amazing.

00:02:50.000 But the conclusion last night is that Donald Trump absolutely crushed Joe Biden because Joe Biden is not alive.

00:02:57.000 He is not with it.

00:02:58.000 He is senile.

00:02:59.000 And this brings us to another conclusion. 0.99

00:03:01.000 The media are some of the most abject liars in modern history. 1.00

00:03:05.000 They are such liars. 0.99

00:03:06.000 Now, we all knew this already. 0.99

00:03:07.000 We knew this about COVID.

00:03:08.000 We knew this about Black Lives Matter.

00:03:10.000 We knew this about election 2016, election 2020.

00:03:11.000 We knew this.

00:03:13.000 But the legacy media They should be ashamed of themselves.

00:03:17.000 I mean, it is humiliating and sick what the legacy media have done.

00:03:22.000 Remember, they've spent three years declaring that Joe Biden is mentally fit, not just mentally fit, doing back handsprings and reciting Virgil in Latin.

00:03:30.000 They say that Joe Biden is so, they've been telling you not to believe your eyes, not to believe your ears, not to believe your brain, that the things that you are seeing in your head, they're all fake.

00:03:39.000 They're just cheap fakes.

00:03:40.000 When you saw clips of Joe Biden wandering off into the woods, or Joe Biden falling upstairs, or Joe Biden spacing out as he stares into the darkness, like Simon and Garfunkel, They kept saying that was all fake.

00:03:53.000 It was all in your mind.

00:03:53.000 It was all in your brain.

00:03:54.000 It was all in your head because you're the crazy one. 1.00

00:03:57.000 Folks, Joe Biden is dead. 1.00

00:03:59.000 That's what the debate proved last night.

00:04:01.000 It proved that Joe Biden is not with us. 0.89

00:04:03.000 And by the way, he's a terrible president. 0.98

00:04:05.000 A terrible president.

00:04:06.000 The cost of living is up almost 20% from 2021.

00:04:07.000 Families everywhere are feeling that burden.

00:04:11.000 Legacy Media.

00:04:12.000 They lie about that.

00:04:13.000 They've been lying about Joe Biden's health.

00:04:14.000 They lie all the time.

00:04:15.000 They are lying also about our economy, which is one reason you need to start saving money today.

00:04:20.000 And that is why I refer you to Pure Talk.

00:05:10.000 I just want to play this because this is important.

00:05:12.000 This is just a few weeks ago.

00:05:14.000 This is a montage of a variety of Democratic commentators Praising Joe Biden's mental stability and fitness.

00:05:22.000 After a Wall Street Journal article came out, maybe six weeks ago, talking about how Joe Biden clearly behind closed doors was losing it.

00:05:28.000 And by the way, not just behind closed doors, like outside of closed doors, to pretty much everyone.

00:05:32.000 And everyone in the media went nuts.

00:05:33.000 Here is just a bit of a montage, it's a much longer montage, of members of the media proclaiming that Joe Biden is healthy, well, fit, brainy, intellectual, witty, and with it.

00:05:43.000 Here we go.

00:05:45.000 Start your tape right now, because I'm about to tell you the truth.

00:05:49.000 And F you if you can't handle the truth.

00:05:52.000 This version of Biden is the best Biden ever.

00:05:58.000 In fact, I think he's better than he's ever been.

00:06:03.000 President Biden has a photographic memory.

00:06:06.000 His understanding and mastery of a complicated geopolitical situation is remarkable.

00:06:12.000 He is sharp, intensely probing, and detail-oriented and focused.

00:06:18.000 Jackie, are you here?

00:06:19.000 Where's Jackie?

00:06:20.000 I didn't think she was going to be here.

00:06:22.000 It was sitting, you know, two feet from him across the table, and he was, you know, intense.

00:06:29.000 Had trouble walking sometimes?

00:06:30.000 Yeah, so did FDR.

00:06:32.000 He wanted GD war.

00:06:33.000 But he's totally focused.

00:06:35.000 He's very sharp.

00:06:35.000 They say he's sharp in meetings and so on.

00:06:37.000 Very lucid, very well informed.

00:06:40.000 Biden is state lead.

00:06:41.000 He comes with gravitas.

00:06:42.000 There hasn't been, as far as I know, a single claim that Biden Made a mistake.

00:06:48.000 Ageism is an issue.

00:06:50.000 It goes on and on like this.

00:06:51.000 We don't have to play the whole thing because you could have done this on a consistent loop for three years.

00:06:56.000 And we were all watching Joe Biden fall apart in real time. 0.98

00:06:58.000 And all these people were telling you that you were crazy. 0.94

00:07:01.000 And then last night they got abjectly destroyed by their own lies.

00:07:06.000 And now they are in a state of panic too.

00:07:08.000 Not just because they think Trump is going to win.

00:07:09.000 And they're right about that.

00:07:11.000 Not just because it's now obvious to everybody that Joe Biden is senile.

00:07:15.000 That's true.

00:07:16.000 But because their own credibility just exploded into tiny bits of shrapnel last night.

00:07:23.000 All of which means that the threat that the media posed to the country, it's very real.

00:07:26.000 Because what that means is someone else has in fact been running the country for the past several years.

00:07:30.000 The person we saw on stage last night is not capable of running a country.

00:07:34.000 He is not capable of walking to a bathroom.

00:07:38.000 I'm not even joking about that.

00:07:40.000 We'll see tape a little bit later on of him being guided off the stage by Jill.

00:07:44.000 As I say, I come back to the word sad.

00:07:46.000 Like, I started off last night and it was amusing, and then the more you think about it, the sadder it becomes.

00:07:50.000 Someone else has been running the country.

00:07:52.000 It is not Joe.

00:07:53.000 It might be Jill.

00:07:54.000 Edith Wilson style.

00:07:55.000 Maybe it's all the Obama holdovers.

00:07:57.000 Whomever it is, is not Joe Biden.

00:08:00.000 And you know who knows that?

00:08:01.000 All of America's enemies.

00:08:03.000 The world became so much more dangerous, regardless of the election, when the President of the United States performed like a befuddled Alzheimer's patient at early bird dinner at the nursing home.

00:08:14.000 That is a horrible look for the rest of the world.

00:08:16.000 Do you think Iran is scared more now, or are they scared if Trump is president?

00:08:23.000 Right now, Iran, if you are seeking a nuclear weapon, Iran is going to accelerate that process dramatically before January.

00:08:28.000 China, if they're thinking about blockading Taiwan, they're going to do it before January.

00:08:32.000 If you're Russia and you're thinking about a massive war move, you're going to do that before January. 0.89

00:08:37.000 Because the president of the United States is non-compost mentis, which means that, as I said earlier, you've seen the media.

00:08:43.000 The media are actively now stumping for Joe Biden to be removed from the ticket.

00:08:50.000 Which is insane.

00:08:51.000 Understand that it is currently the end of June.

00:08:55.000 We have July, August, September, October.

00:08:57.000 That's it.

00:08:57.000 We have four months until the election, and they are talking about removing the incumbent president and major party nominee from the ticket right now.

00:09:06.000 It's not us on the right.

00:09:08.000 It is people on the left.

00:09:09.000 Okay, so I want to start this from the beginning.

00:09:13.000 We'll go through the debate in detail, and then we'll get to the response, because the next several weeks in politics are going to be unprecedented in American history.

00:09:21.000 So, the debate starts, and right away, you know this is going to be very bad for Joe Biden.

00:09:26.000 Right from the very beginning, from the very first moment, because after the anchors introduce themselves, both men walk on the stage.

00:09:34.000 We'll play it, and I'll narrate it to you if you're just listening.

00:09:36.000 This is why you should subscribe over at Daily Wire, by the way, so you can actually watch the whole show in its entirety and uncensored.

00:09:43.000 Here is the beginning of the debate.

00:09:45.000 Now, please welcome the 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden.

00:09:50.000 Don't worry.

00:09:51.000 Don't worry.

00:09:51.000 He looks terrible.

00:09:53.000 Tara.

00:09:54.000 Randomly pointing to people.

00:09:56.000 He looks stiff.

00:09:57.000 He's ungainly.

00:09:58.000 He can barely move.

00:10:00.000 And then he stands behind the podium and he looks stone.

00:10:03.000 His pupils are the size of saucers.

00:10:06.000 And then here comes Trump.

00:10:07.000 And Trump looks exactly the same as Trump has always looked.

00:10:09.000 Donald Trump is, has been preserved in amber for years.

00:10:15.000 He looks exactly the same as he looked in 2015.

00:10:18.000 Joe Biden looks as though he is no longer living.

00:10:20.000 And that was just the very beginning.

00:10:22.000 That was the very beginning, and off the bat, you're like, okay, this is gonna be dicey.

00:10:27.000 Listen, we in politics have been watching this stuff.

00:10:29.000 We've been watching Joe Biden do this stuff, and I've been saying for a long time that watching Joe Biden do a press conference is like watching Nick Wallenda walk across a volcano on a tightrope.

00:10:37.000 You're not watching because you're interested in seeing Nick Wallenda walk across the volcano on this tightrope.

00:10:42.000 You're watching just in case he falls off the rope.

00:10:44.000 Last night, Nick Wallenda fell off the rope into the volcano.

00:10:49.000 So, the debate begins, and Joe Biden comes out, and again, from the very first moment, he's incoherent.

00:10:56.000 He starts talking, he's clearly got something quasi-memorized, and he starts to garble it.

00:11:02.000 The signals start to cross.

00:11:04.000 I don't know if you've ever had like a really long night.

00:11:06.000 You haven't slept in like two days.

00:11:08.000 And no matter how hard you're trying to get something out, it just won't come out correctly.

00:11:12.000 That was Joe Biden last night.

00:11:14.000 Except all the time.

00:11:16.000 And by the way, he set the rules.

00:11:18.000 Joe Biden had a week to prepare for this debate.

00:11:21.000 He went to Camp David.

00:11:22.000 He did no press conferences.

00:11:23.000 He did no work.

00:11:24.000 The world's on fire.

00:11:25.000 And this guy went off to camp where he was lectured by a bunch of adults going to sleep at four o'clock in the afternoon, resting up and setting every rule.

00:11:32.000 The New York Times reported yesterday, every rule of this debate was demanded by Joe Biden.

00:11:38.000 No audience, microphones that mute.

00:11:41.000 These were all rules set by Joe Biden.

00:11:45.000 OK, so it was not possible for there to be a friendly environment for Joe Biden since he had literally preset the entire environment.

00:11:51.000 And Donald Trump, Had done, it turns out, the brilliant thing of having just accepted.

00:11:56.000 Some people like me were kind of skeptical of that.

00:11:58.000 We're like, um, maybe he should have fought back about the crowd.

00:12:01.000 There's no crowd.

00:12:02.000 Maybe he should have fought back about the mics. 1.00

00:12:04.000 But Trump recognized that the minute he did that, then Biden would likely pull out and cite Trump's negotiation as a rationale for not doing the debate.

00:12:11.000 So instead he just accepted.

00:12:13.000 Because the question you have to be asking yourself after this is they all knew behind closed doors this man he's seen now.

00:12:17.000 They all knew it.

00:12:18.000 And then they put him out there anyway.

00:12:22.000 There's an old saying, an old aphorism, better to be thoughtful than to open your mouth and that be confirmed.

00:12:28.000 That was Joe Biden last night.

00:12:29.000 So here's the very beginning of the debate, Joe Biden talking on Trump's economy.

00:12:33.000 We're in a situation where if you had to take a look at all that was done in his administration, he didn't do much at all.

00:12:40.000 By the time he left, there were things that were in chaos, literally chaos.

00:12:44.000 Thank you, President Trump.

00:12:46.000 We have the greatest economy in the history of our country.

00:12:49.000 We have never done so well.

00:12:53.000 Everybody was amazed by it.

00:12:54.000 Other countries were copying us.

00:12:56.000 We got hit with COVID.

00:12:58.000 And when we did, we spent the money necessary so we wouldn't end up in a Great Depression, the likes of which we had in 1929.

00:13:06.000 By the time we finished, so we did a great job.

00:13:08.000 We got a lot of credit for the economy, a lot of credit for the military, and no wars, and so many other things.

00:13:13.000 Everything was rocking good.

00:13:15.000 But the thing we never got the credit for, and we should have, is getting us out of that COVID mess.

00:13:20.000 Okay, so again, Trump was very lucid last night.

00:13:23.000 I haven't talked a lot about Trump yet because again, Trump isn't the story.

00:13:25.000 But here's the thing, Trump could have been the story if he had turned into bad performance.

00:13:29.000 Trump last night was excellent.

00:13:31.000 I don't mean good, I mean excellent.

00:13:33.000 He had his moments about 45 minutes in, he got distracted by some of the January 6th, 2020 stuff.

00:13:38.000 When he was talking about his own trials and tribulations, obviously he has a tough time avoiding that landmark.

00:13:42.000 But he did it better than any time I have ever seen.

00:13:45.000 He was disciplined.

00:13:46.000 He knew what he was doing.

00:13:47.000 He stayed within himself.

00:13:49.000 He did not attempt to overrun the rules.

00:13:51.000 He did not attack the moderators.

00:13:53.000 He was given time.

00:13:54.000 He filled the time.

00:13:55.000 And...

00:13:56.000 There were some devastating moments for Joe Biden that were at the hands of Donald Trump.

00:14:00.000 Donald Trump did an excellent job last night.

00:14:03.000 He looked hale.

00:14:03.000 He looked healthy.

00:14:04.000 Maybe he was taking his balance of nature.

00:14:06.000 See, here's the eternal truth.

00:14:08.000 Vegetables are not pleasant to consume.

00:14:09.000 You know who knows that?

00:14:09.000 Donald Trump.

00:14:10.000 He talks about it a lot.

00:14:11.000 Actually, I don't like vegetables either, but here's the thing.

00:14:14.000 With Balance of Nature Fruits and Veggies, you actually don't have to like vegetables, you can still get the nutrients.

00:15:04.000 And it turns out that in debate, particularly presidential debate, the moments that tend to matter is where one of the candidates channels the thing the audience is feeling.

00:15:11.000 This, by the way, is true just in terms of entertainment and TV.

00:15:14.000 There's always one character on every show who's kind of the voice of the audience.

00:15:17.000 It happens on a lot of comedies, a lot of dramas too.

00:15:21.000 Always the most popular character is the person who says the thing the audience is thinking, but they're not willing to say.

00:15:27.000 All in the family, that was Archie Bunker.

00:15:28.000 He was always saying the thing about Meathead that everybody felt about Meathead.

00:15:31.000 So in 2020, Joe Biden had that line in the first debate when Donald Trump was way outside himself and he was yelling and he was ranting and he was talking over people. 0.78

00:15:40.000 And Joe Biden eventually turned him and said, shut up, man.

00:15:43.000 Will you shut up? 0.97

00:15:44.000 And everybody, even people on the center on the right were like, I mean, he won't shut up.

00:15:50.000 That's kind of true.

00:15:52.000 He was saying the thing out loud.

00:15:55.000 Last night, Donald Trump became the voice of the audience because we were all watching in horrified silence as you watch this train slowly chugging toward a ravine where the tracks end.

00:16:09.000 So, very early on in the debate, Joe Biden made the signally false claim that no American troops had died on his watch, and Donald Trump absolutely smoked him.

00:16:18.000 As far as Afghanistan is concerned, I was getting out of Afghanistan, but we were getting out with dignity, with strength, with power. 0.78

00:16:26.000 He got out.

00:16:26.000 It was the most embarrassing day in the history of our country's life.

00:16:31.000 Again, he had hits like that, but the story was Biden.

00:16:35.000 So even in his sort of rote lines, his one-off lines, Joe Biden was unable to fulfill the dictates of the English language.

00:16:43.000 He just couldn't.

00:16:45.000 He couldn't fulfill the basic rules of grammar.

00:16:47.000 So, check out clip six.

00:16:49.000 Here is Joe Biden talking about tax cuts.

00:16:53.000 He mixes up, in this clip, trillionaires and billionaires and million and trillion.

00:16:58.000 He's incoherent, folks.

00:17:02.000 That $2 trillion tax cut benefited the very wealthy.

00:17:06.000 What I'm going to do is fix the tax system.

00:17:08.000 For example, we have 1,000 trillionaires in America.

00:17:11.000 I mean billionaires in America.

00:17:13.000 And what's happening?

00:17:14.000 They're in a situation where they in fact pay 8.2% in taxes.

00:17:16.000 8.2% in taxes. If they just paid 24% or 25% either one of those numbers, they'd raise

00:17:23.000 $500 million.

00:17:25.000 Again, not with it.

00:17:28.000 And that became perfectly clear in one of the takeaway clips of the night.

00:17:32.000 So at a certain point, Joe Biden just started rambling about Medicare and Medicaid.

00:17:38.000 And he ended with a line that is going to go down in presidential debate history.

00:17:44.000 And Donald Trump just puts him through a wall.

00:17:48.000 I mean, he just puts him through a wall here.

00:17:51.000 Everything we have to do with, uh, look, If we finally beat Medicare.

00:18:00.000 Thank you, President Biden.

00:18:01.000 President Trump?

00:18:03.000 Well, he's right.

00:18:03.000 He did beat Medicare.

00:18:04.000 He beat it to death.

00:18:05.000 And he's destroying Medicare.

00:18:07.000 Because all of these people are coming in.

00:18:09.000 They're putting them on Medicare.

00:18:11.000 They're putting them on Social Security.

00:18:13.000 They're going to destroy Social Security.

00:18:15.000 This man is going to single-handedly destroy Social Security.

00:18:18.000 These millions and millions of people coming in, they're trying to put them on Social Security.

00:18:23.000 He will wipe out Social Security.

00:18:25.000 He will wipe out Medicare.

00:18:27.000 So he was right in the way he finished that sentence.

00:18:29.000 And it's a shame.

00:18:32.000 Joe Biden looks right there as though death is coming at him.

00:18:36.000 On the stage at the sixth sense, he's seeing things no one else is seeing.

00:18:40.000 As Matt Walsh said last night, he is seeing into the afterlife already.

00:18:44.000 He's standing there, for folks who can't see it, and he is gazing, gape-jawed and stony-eyed, into a mid-distance that does not exist, into another dimension.

00:18:55.000 That line there, that Donald Trump uses, I mean, Biden opened himself wide up to it.

00:19:00.000 I beat Medicaid?

00:19:01.000 We finally beat Medicaid.

00:19:02.000 He needs a mission accomplished banner on an aircraft carrier.

00:19:06.000 We finally did it, Jill!

00:19:08.000 We beat Medicaid.

00:19:11.000 Of course, of course Donald Trump was going to put him through a wall.

00:19:15.000 Now, again, one of the things about Trump that's fascinating is a point that I made last night on The Daily Wire backstage.

00:19:20.000 That's on our feed, you can go check that out as well.

00:19:22.000 It's worth a listen.

00:19:24.000 It was right in the aftermath of the debate.

00:19:26.000 So one of the things that's really fascinating about Donald Trump as a nominee is sort of the innate wisdom of making him the nominee.

00:19:32.000 Now listen, I didn't support Donald Trump in the primaries, right?

00:19:34.000 I supported Ron DeSantis as a voter in the primaries.

00:19:37.000 He wasn't on the ballot by the time it got to Florida.

00:19:40.000 When it comes to this race, however, the magic of Donald Trump is very simple.

00:19:46.000 There is no new information about Donald Trump.

00:19:48.000 He will say nothing that shocks you.

00:19:50.000 He will say nothing that is capable of appalling you because it turns out you've heard it all before.

00:19:55.000 And what that means is that he can take heterodox positions with the base because he has earned trust with them.

00:20:01.000 That no other Republican can.

00:20:03.000 So last night, he was asked about the abortion pill.

00:20:05.000 Now listen, as a pro-lifer, I think the abortion pill is a grave evil.

00:20:08.000 I think it is a serious moral quandary and problem.

00:20:12.000 Donald Trump has taken the most moderate position on abortion of any Republican of my lifetime.

00:20:16.000 He's able to get away with that because of the trust that he has earned with the Republican base.

00:20:20.000 He's gonna get 99% turnout with the Republican base.

00:20:23.000 But also, it means that with the audience, there's nothing he can say that is particularly shocking.

00:20:31.000 Which puts all the focus back on Joe Biden.

00:20:33.000 If you imagine for a second, a more conservative, and dare I say, intellectually serious Republican candidate, Ron DeSantis, for example, up there.

00:20:41.000 And he takes the hard pro-life position.

00:20:43.000 Suddenly the debate becomes his pro-life position.

00:20:45.000 Donald Trump didn't do that because he can stick and he can move knowing that no bad information really can harm him and that the base loves him.

00:20:52.000 So here he was last night on the abortion pill.

00:20:55.000 As president, would you block abortion medication?

00:20:59.000 First of all, the Supreme Court just approved the abortion pill, and I agree with their decision to have done that, and I will not block it.

00:21:07.000 Again, that is a position that is heterodox for Republicans to take.

00:21:10.000 Trump can get away with it.

00:21:11.000 One of the big issues, obviously, on which Trump hammered the living daylights out of Biden was on the border, which you would expect.

00:21:16.000 This has been Trump's signal issue since 2015.

00:21:20.000 And under Joe Biden, the border has absolutely exploded again.

00:21:22.000 I urge you, if you have not seen the episode that we did about the border that divided states of Biden, you should go check it out behind the paywall at Daily Wire.

00:21:28.000 Plus, it's a disaster area.

00:21:31.000 Well, Joe Biden was comatose last night on virtually every issue.

00:21:34.000 He could have used some coffee.

00:21:36.000 Maybe from our friends at Black Rifle Coffee.

00:21:37.000 See, I love Black Rifle Coffee, but I don't always have time to brew coffee the traditional way each morning.

00:21:41.000 That's why I love Black Rifle Coffee's ready-to-drink cans.

00:21:44.000 Ready-to-drink coffee is perfect for people who need their coffee quickly, like during the break.

00:21:47.000 Biden should have chugged four of them.

00:21:48.000 Each contains at least 200 milligrams of caffeine and is available in a variety of flavors, like vanilla bomb, salted caramel, mocha, and vanilla caramel.

00:21:55.000 Black Rifle Coffee is a veteran-founded coffee company operated by principled men and women who honor those who protect, defend, and support our country.

00:22:00.000 With every purchase you make, they give back.

00:22:25.000 That's BlackRifleCoffee.com.

00:22:26.000 Again, BlackRifleCoffee.com.

00:22:29.000 Best coffee in the business.

00:22:30.000 BlackRifleCoffee.com.

00:22:32.000 So here's Donald Trump hammering Joe Biden about the border.

00:22:34.000 And then we'll get to Biden's response, because again, this debate was not about Trump's excellence so much as it was about Joe Biden falling into a hole in the earth and never again appearing.

00:22:44.000 Here is Donald Trump.

00:22:47.000 There have been many young women murdered by the same people he allows to come across our border. 1.00

00:22:53.000 We have a border that's the most dangerous place anywhere in the world.

00:22:56.000 Consider the most dangerous place anywhere in the world.

00:22:59.000 And he opened it up, and these killers are coming into our country. 1.00

00:23:02.000 And they are raping and killing women. 1.00

00:23:05.000 And it's a terrible thing. 0.99

00:23:06.000 As far as the abortion is concerned, it is now back with the states.

00:23:09.000 The states are voting.

00:23:11.000 In many cases, it's frankly a very liberal decision.

00:23:14.000 In many cases, it's the opposite.

00:23:16.000 Look at Biden.

00:23:17.000 Okay, this is the thing.

00:23:17.000 bringing it back to the vote of the people, which is what everybody wanted, including

00:23:21.000 the founders, if they knew about this issue, which frankly they didn't.

00:23:26.000 Look at Biden.

00:23:27.000 Okay, this is the thing.

00:23:28.000 Trump's talking, what he's saying is perfectly fine, perfectly good.

00:23:31.000 Joe Biden is not with everyone.

00:23:33.000 Every split screen was a referendum on Joe Biden.

00:23:36.000 Every single split screen.

00:23:37.000 So Roger Ailes on Fox News, formerly Fox News, he used to have a way of evaluating how people were doing on the TV.

00:23:44.000 He would turn down the sound.

00:23:45.000 If you turned down the sound on this debate, Joe Biden loses immediately.

00:23:50.000 Immediately.

00:23:50.000 Remember, this is after like 25 years of plastic surgery, and they shot him with uppers, and he had a week of rest.

00:23:55.000 Okay, so here was Joe Biden's response to Donald Trump talking about the border and abortion.

00:24:02.000 The utter incoherence.

00:24:04.000 He's not there.

00:24:06.000 I can't say to him, he's not there.

00:24:09.000 Look, there's so many young women who have been, including a young woman who just was murdered.

00:24:14.000 And he went to the funeral.

00:24:17.000 The idea that she was murdered by an immigrant coming in, they talk about that.

00:24:23.000 But here's the deal. 0.92

00:24:24.000 There's a lot of young women who are being raped by their in-laws, by their spouses, brothers and sisters. 1.00

00:24:32.000 It's just ridiculous. 0.99

00:24:35.000 And they can do nothing about it. 0.91

00:24:36.000 And they try to arrest them on the cross-state line.

00:24:38.000 Thank you.

00:24:40.000 What is he jabbering about?

00:24:44.000 What the did he just say?

00:24:47.000 What was that?

00:24:48.000 I mean, listen, I'm glad that someone is apparently taking on the scourge of sister on sister.

00:24:54.000 Apparently, it's like Joe Biden's high priorities. 0.93

00:24:56.000 Don't worry about the illegal immigrants murdering people. 1.00

00:24:58.000 Sometimes sisters murder sisters. 1.00

00:25:01.000 Sometimes in-laws murder in-laws.

00:25:03.000 And then a border state lines and you know.

00:25:07.000 All the mockery that I did of Joe Biden leading up to the debate, that there would be points where he just faded off into oblivion, they came true.

00:25:13.000 They happened.

00:25:14.000 I'm not gonna say that I'm a prophet or anything.

00:25:16.000 But frankly, I don't think it took the powers of prophecy to foresee the possibility this would happen. 0.99

00:25:20.000 All it took was not having your head directly up your ass so far it was coming out your own face again, like the rest of the legacy media, who are lying to you this entire time. 0.98

00:25:27.000 Okay, here was, again, the signal moments of the debate. 0.99

00:25:32.000 The number one moment, in chronological order, was the Donald Trump, you beat Medicaid to death, after Joe Biden said that we beat Medicaid.

00:25:45.000 Here was the actual signal moments of the debate.

00:25:47.000 So Biden is talking about immigration, and he just falls apart.

00:25:52.000 He starts speaking Swahili.

00:25:54.000 He starts speaking in tongues. 0.58

00:25:55.000 The spirit comes upon him, and he just starts making sound out of his mouth hole. 0.90

00:26:00.000 And Trump just... I mean, there are no words.

00:26:06.000 Here we go.

00:26:07.000 This is the moment.

00:26:08.000 When he was president, he was separating babies from their mothers, putting them in cages, making sure the families were separated.

00:26:16.000 That's not the right way to go.

00:26:18.000 What I've done since I've changed the law, what's happened?

00:26:21.000 I've changed it in a way that now you're in a situation where there are 40% fewer people coming across the border illegally.

00:26:28.000 That's better than when he left office.

00:26:30.000 And I'm going to continue to move until we get the total ban.

00:26:34.000 on the total initiative relative to what we can do with more border patrol and more asylum officers.

00:26:42.000 President Trump?

00:26:43.000 I really don't know what he said at the end of that sentence.

00:26:46.000 I don't think he knows what he said either.

00:26:47.000 Yeah.

00:27:00.000 Yeah.

00:27:01.000 Accurate.

00:27:02.000 Fact check true.

00:27:04.000 No notes.

00:27:05.000 10 out of 10.

00:27:06.000 Would ride this ride again.

00:27:08.000 Would stay at this Airbnb.

00:27:10.000 Yes.

00:27:10.000 You laugh so you don't cry because that's the leader of the free world.

00:27:20.000 That's the leader of the free world.

00:27:21.000 That is the occupant of George Washington's office.

00:27:25.000 And Trump's lying there.

00:27:26.000 I don't know.

00:27:35.000 Oh my god.

00:27:38.000 We're all sleep deprived after watching that debate, but my goodness.

00:27:41.000 I don't know what he said at the end of it, so frankly I don't think he does either.

00:27:46.000 It's so good.

00:27:48.000 Oh, it's so good.

00:27:49.000 It's so good.

00:27:50.000 I gotta say, um...

00:27:52.000 You know, Joe Biden, he's the kind of person where you get up at 2 a.m.

00:27:54.000 and he's wandering around in the kitchen because he's lost his way.

00:27:56.000 And if that's ever happened to you, sometimes it can be scary.

00:27:58.000 You have a member of your family and they're like wandering around the middle of the night.

00:28:01.000 Is it a bad guy?

00:28:02.000 Is it a member of your family?

00:28:03.000 The last thing you would like to do in that situation is use deadly force.

00:28:05.000 This is why you should have the Burna Less Lethal Pistol Launcher, developed by a team of common sense gun owners who understand the importance of having choices.

00:28:12.000 They engineered the Burna Launcher as a powerful tool for self-defense, allowing users to de-escalate threatening situations without resorting to deadly force.

00:28:18.000 Now listen, I'm about as pro-Second Amendment as it gets.

00:28:21.000 Four pistols, I've got an AR, I've got a shotgun, but the possibility of using non-lethal force in my home, you know, it's a nice idea, and if I can do it, I really should.

00:28:30.000 For me, the Burna is a safer, more sensible alternative that could potentially save lives on both sides, protecting both the user and the aggressor, and minimizing the possibility of terrible mistakes.

00:28:38.000 The Burna is an indispensable tool to keep you and your family safe.

00:28:40.000 It's legal in all 50 states.

00:28:41.000 No background checks or permits required.

00:28:43.000 They've received over 15,000 four-and-a-half-star reviews.

00:28:46.000 Hand-assembled in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Burna can ship directly to your door.

00:28:49.000 It's not just an option, the BRNA. 0.62

00:28:50.000 It's an essential component of responsible non-lethal protection.

00:28:52.000 Visit brna.com slash ben for 10% off your purchase.

00:28:55.000 That's b-y-r-n-a dot com slash ben.

00:28:57.000 And check out the latest news about BRNA.

00:28:59.000 That's b-y-r-n-a. 1.00

00:29:01.000 And it just continued along these lines.

00:29:02.000 It was just like this kind of the whole time.

00:29:04.000 And again, Trump stayed on point.

00:29:07.000 Trump stayed on point.

00:29:09.000 So, clip 14.

00:29:10.000 Here was Donald Trump responding to Joe Biden suggesting that he had killed people and that he had gotten people killed.

00:29:17.000 Again, it was an incoherent point.

00:29:19.000 And here was Trump's response, which was actually on message and on point.

00:29:23.000 Just one second.

00:29:24.000 He said we killed three people. 0.91

00:29:26.000 The people we killed are al-Baghdadi and Salamani, the two greatest terrorists, biggest terrorists anywhere in the world.

00:29:33.000 And it had a huge impact on everything, not just border, on everything.

00:29:38.000 He's the one that killed people with the bad water, including hundreds of thousands of

00:29:42.000 people dying and also killing our citizens when they come in. 0.88

00:29:47.000 We we are living right now in a rat's nest.

00:29:50.000 They're killing our people in New York, in California and every state in the union because

00:29:55.000 we don't have borders anymore.

00:29:57.000 Every state is now a border. 1.00

00:29:59.000 And because of his ridiculous, very stupid policies, people are coming in and they're 1.00

00:30:04.000 killing our citizens at a level that we've never seen. 1.00

00:30:08.000 We call it migrant crime. 1.00

00:30:10.000 I call it Biden migrant crime. 0.95

00:30:12.000 They're killing our citizens at a level that we've never seen before.

00:30:16.000 And you're reading it like these three incredible young girls over the last few days.

00:30:21.000 Look at Biden's face.

00:30:22.000 Look at his face.

00:30:22.000 and he just had the funeral for this girl 12 years old this is horrible

00:30:28.000 what's taken place what's taken place in our country we're literally look at his

00:30:32.000 face uncivilized country now he doesn't want it to be he just doesn't know it's

00:30:39.000 I mean, truly, again, Trump was very good, and Biden was the worst debate performance I have ever seen in my entire life, bar none, no contest, no question, not a technical knockout, a full-scale knockout.

00:30:52.000 And it wasn't just that he was senile. 0.94

00:30:53.000 He was also crotchety. 0.79

00:30:54.000 He was like the worst of Biden on all scores.

00:30:56.000 So there was a point where Biden kept relying on these stories that had been largely debunked.

00:31:01.000 So we'll get to his Charlottesville lie, which he keeps telling over and over and over, and Trump thoroughly fact-checked him on the stage over it. 0.99

00:31:08.000 But he also relied very heavily on the so-called suckers and losers comment. 0.98

00:31:12.000 So there was a story in the Atlantic a couple of years ago, several years ago, in which it was claimed that Donald Trump, in visiting the beaches of Normandy, had called the fallen soldiers suckers and losers. 0.98

00:31:23.000 And that was trafficked in the Atlantic anonymously. 0.76

00:31:26.000 And then denied by pretty much everybody.

00:31:28.000 And Biden tries to trot that out for sympathy and then mentions his son Beau dying.

00:31:33.000 It's like all the worst of Joe Biden. 1.00

00:31:35.000 And then he gets crotchety and tries to call Trump a sucker and a loser. 1.00

00:31:37.000 And he just looks unhinged. 0.99

00:31:40.000 If the idea of this debate was make Trump look unhinged, Trump was the sane and responsible personality on the stage last night.

00:31:46.000 And Joe Biden needed a cleanup crew.

00:31:49.000 His adult diaper was full last night.

00:31:51.000 Here was Joe Biden.

00:31:53.000 I went to the World War II cemetery, World War I cemetery he refused to go to. 0.99

00:31:57.000 He was standing with his four-star general and he told me, he said, I don't want to go in there because they're a bunch of losers and suckers. 0.99

00:32:04.000 My son was not a loser, was not a sucker. 1.00

00:32:06.000 You're the sucker. 1.00

00:32:07.000 You're the loser. 1.00

00:32:08.000 President Trump? 1.00

00:32:10.000 First of all, that was a made-up quote. 1.00

00:32:11.000 Suckers and losers. 1.00

00:32:12.000 They made it up. 1.00

00:32:13.000 It was in a third-rate magazine that's failing, like many of these magazines.

00:32:17.000 He made that up.

00:32:18.000 He put it in commercials.

00:32:19.000 We've notified him.

00:32:21.000 We had 19 people that said I didn't say it.

00:32:23.000 And think of this.

00:32:24.000 Who would say I'm at a cemetery or I'm talking about our veterans?

00:32:28.000 Because nobody's taking better care.

00:32:29.000 I'm so glad this came up.

00:32:31.000 And he brought it up.

00:32:33.000 There's nobody that's taken better care of our soldiers than I have. 0.99

00:32:36.000 To think that I would, in front of generals and others, say, suckers and losers. 0.92

00:32:41.000 We have 19 people that said, it was never said by me. 0.98

00:32:45.000 It was made up by him.

00:32:46.000 Just like Russia, Russia, Russia was made up. 0.98

00:32:49.000 Just like the 51 intelligence agents are made up.

00:32:52.000 Just like the new thing with the 16 economists are talking, it's the same thing.

00:32:57.000 51 intelligence agents said that the laptop was Russia disinformation.

00:33:02.000 It wasn't.

00:33:03.000 That came from his son, Hunter.

00:33:05.000 It wasn't Russia disinformation. 0.98

00:33:07.000 He made up the suckers and losers, so he should apologize to me right now. 0.98

00:33:12.000 Four-star general standing at your side who was on your staff who said you said it. 0.99

00:33:16.000 Period.

00:33:17.000 That's number one.

00:33:18.000 And number two, the idea, the idea that I have to apologize to you for anything along the line.

00:33:24.000 We've done more for veterans than any president has in American history.

00:33:27.000 American history.

00:33:29.000 Okay, and he starts repeating himself.

00:33:31.000 So he had a bunch of verbal tics last night.

00:33:32.000 The idea that was a big verbal tic last night.

00:33:34.000 He kept saying it over and over.

00:33:35.000 Every time his brain farted, he'd go, the idea that, the idea that, the idea that.

00:33:42.000 Just terrible stuff.

00:33:44.000 Now, again, I thought the foreign policy part for Trump of this debate was easily the best part of the debate for Trump.

00:33:48.000 I thought that it was truly excellent stuff.

00:33:51.000 Like grade A, uncut, pure political cocaine.

00:33:54.000 Really good stuff here.

00:33:56.000 So, here was Donald Trump talking about the fact that the veterans and the soldiers, they actually like him, and that Joe Biden's foreign policy is an embarrassment.

00:34:04.000 He is right about this.

00:34:05.000 Donald Trump was pummeling him on policy, and Joe Biden was walking into walls last night.

00:34:11.000 Our veterans and our soldiers can't stand this guy.

00:34:14.000 They can't stand him.

00:34:15.000 They think he's the worst commander-in-chief, if that's what you call him, that we've ever had.

00:34:20.000 They can't stand him.

00:34:21.000 So let's get that straight.

00:34:23.000 And they like me more than just about any of them.

00:34:26.000 And that's based on every single bit of information.

00:34:29.000 As far as Russia and Ukraine, if we had a real president, the president that knew, that was respected by Putin, He would have never.

00:34:37.000 He would have never invaded Ukraine.

00:34:39.000 A lot of people are dead right now, much more than people know.

00:34:42.000 You know, they talk about numbers.

00:34:43.000 You can double those numbers, maybe triple those numbers.

00:34:47.000 He did nothing to stop it.

00:34:48.000 In fact, I think he encouraged Russia from going in.

00:34:51.000 I'll tell you what happened.

00:34:51.000 He was so bad with Afghanistan.

00:34:53.000 It was such a horrible embarrassment, most embarrassing moment in the history of our country, that when Putin watched that and he saw the incompetence that he should, he should have fired those generals like I fired the one that you mentioned.

00:35:06.000 So he's got no love lost.

00:35:07.000 But he should have fired those generals.

00:35:09.000 No general got fired for the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country, Afghanistan, where we left billions of dollars of equipment behind.

00:35:18.000 We lost 13 beautiful soldiers and 38 soldiers were obliterated.

00:35:23.000 And by the way, we left people behind, too.

00:35:25.000 We left American citizens behind. 1.00

00:35:27.000 When Putin saw that, he said, You know what?

00:35:29.000 I think we're going to go in and maybe take my... This was his dream.

00:35:33.000 I talked to him about it.

00:35:34.000 His dream.

00:35:35.000 The difference is he never would have invaded Ukraine.

00:35:39.000 Never.

00:35:40.000 Just like Israel would have never been invaded.

00:35:44.000 In a million years by Hamas. 0.77

00:35:46.000 You know why?

00:35:47.000 Because Iran was broke with me. 0.64

00:35:49.000 I wouldn't let anybody do business with them.

00:35:51.000 They ran out of money.

00:35:52.000 They were broke.

00:35:53.000 They had no money for Hamas. 0.59

00:35:54.000 They had no money for anything.

00:35:56.000 No money for terror.

00:35:57.000 That's why you had no terror at all during my administration.

00:36:01.000 This place, the whole world is blowing up under him.

00:36:06.000 That right there was some of the best stuff in the whole debate for Trump.

00:36:08.000 And Trump had a bunch of moments. 0.96

00:36:09.000 That was like the best stuff because the truth is there is no argument that Joe Biden's foreign policy is anything but trash. 0.93

00:36:15.000 And here was the thing. 0.94

00:36:17.000 Trump didn't even have to make the point that Biden was senile, which is the big takeaway from the debate.

00:36:20.000 All he had to do was pummel him on policy, and he actually did it.

00:36:23.000 He actually did it.

00:36:25.000 By the way, he had a follow-up point on policy that was phenomenal.

00:36:28.000 So he was talking- I enjoyed it on a very personal level.

00:36:31.000 So, Joe Biden suggested that everybody wants a ceasefire, the Israelis want a ceasefire, we want a ceasefire, only Hamas doesn't want a ceasefire. 0.68

00:36:39.000 Trump comes back at him.

00:36:41.000 And Trump says, actually, Israel does not want a ceasefire.

00:36:44.000 Israel would like to win.

00:36:46.000 And you are preventing them from winning.

00:36:49.000 Fact.

00:36:49.000 Check.

00:36:50.000 True.

00:36:51.000 Here is Donald Trump on this one.

00:36:54.000 You gotta ask him, as far as Israel and Hamas, Israel's the one that wants to go. 0.96

00:37:00.000 He said the only one who wants to keep going is Hamas. 0.90

00:37:03.000 Actually, Israel is the one, and you should let him go and let him finish the job. 1.00

00:37:07.000 He doesn't want to do it. 0.89

00:37:08.000 He's become like a Palestinian, but they don't like him because he's a very bad Palestinian. 1.00

00:37:12.000 He's a weak one. 0.94

00:37:13.000 What he's trying to say there, by the way, is that they don't even like him because he's not 0.70

00:37:22.000 radical enough for them, but he is acting like a Palestinian or at least an advocate for the

00:37:25.000 Palestinians.

00:37:27.000 That's true.

00:37:27.000 That is 100% true.

00:37:29.000 OK, again, best of Trump, worst of Biden.

00:37:32.000 And that delta is massive, massive.

00:37:35.000 Okay, in just one second, we're going to keep going with this.

00:37:37.000 We're going to go through the whole debate, man.

00:37:39.000 This is a historic moment in American history, this debate.

00:37:42.000 First, I got to remind you, new movie coming out in theaters this July 4th is being brought to you in part by Daily Wire Plus.

00:37:47.000 Jeremy Boring announced on Thursday our partnership with Angel Studios to bring you a brand new film.

00:37:51.000 It's called Sound of Hope, the story of Possum Trot.

00:37:53.000 You might know Angel Studios from their incredible movie, Sound of Freedom.

00:37:56.000 Obviously, U2's a huge hit, had a big impact in the world of entertainment and in the world at large by shining a great light on the child trafficking crisis.

00:38:03.000 Now, Angel Studios is back.

00:38:04.000 They're continuing their fight for kids.

00:38:06.000 Daily Wire Plus is proud to join them in that fight.

00:38:08.000 Sound of Hope is the true story of 22 families from a rural church who adopted 77 kids from the foster system.

00:38:14.000 If you missed the town hall last week, we have a trailer for you guys so you can get a feel for what the movie is all about.

00:38:17.000 Take a look.

00:38:22.000 Are you sure these people want us?

00:38:24.000 I know they do.

00:38:25.000 You can call me Mama.

00:38:30.000 Oh, Lord.

00:38:32.000 No!

00:38:32.000 No, no, no!

00:38:34.000 If we can't wrap our arms around the most vulnerable, then what do we have?

00:38:40.000 Noise!

00:38:41.000 And the children can't take the noise anymore.

00:38:44.000 This is something that we must do.

00:38:52.000 22 families want to adopt.

00:38:54.000 Hotel wants kids now. 1.00

00:38:55.000 That's about right.

00:38:58.000 What's happening with Possum Trot could mean a huge change for the system.

00:39:02.000 I've seen the movie.

00:39:20.000 It is powerful.

00:39:20.000 It is inspiring.

00:39:21.000 It is awesome.

00:39:22.000 We do have a Sunday special coming up with the Bishop, who serves as the basis for the film, who's an amazing person.

00:39:27.000 The movie's really important.

00:39:28.000 You should go see it for a variety of reasons.

00:39:31.000 Number one, it's actually important for people to see strong religious institutions portrayed well on the big screen.

00:39:36.000 We need more films that hope, inspire, and don't instill doubt and cynicism.

00:39:41.000 So, go to the theater starting July 4th.

00:39:43.000 Sound of Hope tickets on sale right now.

00:39:44.000 Get yours at angel.com slash ben.

00:39:47.000 Okay, meanwhile, So Donald Trump, as I say, showed so much more discipline last night than he ever has in a debate before.

00:39:53.000 And I think that's because he understood the change in incentive structures.

00:39:56.000 So in 2016, Trump figured he wasn't going to win.

00:39:58.000 And so he was like, let it all hang out, man.

00:40:00.000 Just say whatever you want to say.

00:40:01.000 Do all the things.

00:40:02.000 And then he won.

00:40:03.000 And in 2020, because he'd won in 2016, he figured he could do the same thing and he could still win.

00:40:07.000 And also he could not believe he was going to lose to this guy.

00:40:11.000 This time around, Donald Trump actually listened and he actually did the thing.

00:40:16.000 So as you know, if you're a regular listener to the show, for weeks, I've been advising publicly that if asked about January 6th, Donald Trump should say, January 6th, 2021, whatever you think about it, does not matter.

00:40:27.000 November 5th, 2024 matters.

00:40:30.000 Whatever you think about me in election 2020, I left office January 20th, 2021, and this guy has been president for the last three and a half years, and he has botched this job.

00:40:41.000 He has mutilated this job.

00:40:43.000 He has Jeffrey Dahmer'd this job, right?

00:40:46.000 That's what he should say.

00:40:47.000 So Trump was asked about January 6th, and he did it.

00:40:50.000 He did the thing.

00:40:50.000 People were tweeting last night that I must've been jumping up and down in the room.

00:40:53.000 Basically, yes.

00:40:55.000 He took my advice.

00:40:57.000 It was great.

00:40:58.000 Here we go.

00:41:00.000 What do you say to voters who believe that you violated that oath through your actions and inaction on January 6th and worry that you'll do it again?

00:41:06.000 Well, I don't think too many believe that.

00:41:08.000 And let me tell you about January 6th.

00:41:10.000 On January 6th, we had a great border.

00:41:14.000 Nobody coming through.

00:41:15.000 Very few.

00:41:16.000 On January 6th, we were energy independent.

00:41:18.000 On January 6th, we had the lowest taxes ever.

00:41:21.000 We had the lowest regulations ever.

00:41:23.000 On January 6th, we were respected all over the world.

00:41:26.000 All over the world, we were respected.

00:41:28.000 And then he comes in, and we're now left at. 1.00

00:41:31.000 We're like a bunch of stupid people. 1.00

00:41:34.000 What happened to the United States' reputation under this man's leadership is horrible. 1.00

00:41:40.000 Good for him.

00:41:42.000 Yes, good.

00:41:44.000 Excellent.

00:41:44.000 Now, he was asked to follow up by Tapper and then he talked about January 6th and how it was misconstrued for some of those people.

00:41:51.000 And he redirected toward what Democrats did in 2020 by allowing the entire country to burn down.

00:41:55.000 And all of that was fine.

00:41:56.000 But the initial response is the message to the American people.

00:42:00.000 Donald Trump can do discipline.

00:42:03.000 Donald Trump can do sobriety.

00:42:05.000 And he did it last night.

00:42:07.000 He really did.

00:42:07.000 And then he did it again.

00:42:09.000 So he was asked by the moderators about seeking retribution against his political enemies.

00:42:14.000 And what I had suggested is that he say that his retribution will be success, and also the only person on the stage who's exacting retribution is Joe Biden, who sicced his DOJ on him.

00:42:25.000 And you know what Donald Trump did?

00:42:26.000 He did the thing again!

00:42:27.000 It was great!

00:42:28.000 Here he was, clip 24.

00:42:30.000 Well, I said my retribution is going to be success.

00:42:33.000 We're going to make this country successful again, because right now it's a failing nation.

00:42:37.000 My retribution is going to be success.

00:42:39.000 But when he talks about a convicted felon, his son is a convicted felon at a very high level.

00:42:44.000 His son is convicted, going to be convicted probably numerous other times.

00:42:48.000 Should have been convicted before, but his justice department let the statute of limitations lapse on the most important things.

00:42:55.000 But he could be a convicted felon as soon as he gets out of office.

00:42:58.000 Joe could be a convicted felon with all of the things that he's done.

00:43:01.000 He's done horrible things.

00:43:02.000 All of the death cause at the border, telling the Ukrainian people that we're going to want a billion dollars or you change the prosecutor.

00:43:11.000 Otherwise, you're not getting a billion dollars.

00:43:12.000 If I ever said that, that's quid pro quo.

00:43:16.000 That we're not going to do anything.

00:43:18.000 We're not going to give you a billion dollars unless you change your prosecutor having to do with the son. 0.87

00:43:22.000 This man is a criminal.

00:43:24.000 This man, you're lucky.

00:43:25.000 You're lucky.

00:43:26.000 I did nothing wrong.

00:43:27.000 We'd have a system that was rigged and disgusting.

00:43:30.000 I did nothing wrong. 0.86

00:43:31.000 Now, I will say, I think that Trump did miss a kill shot here.

00:43:34.000 Trump could have just said right here, listen, you should have been prosecuted over your mishandling of classified documents.

00:43:40.000 The only reason that you escaped a felony charge on mishandling of classified documents is because the prosecutor said you are effectively mentally unfit to stand trial and in the throes of senility.

00:43:50.000 I wonder why he might have said that.

00:43:52.000 And then you call him a liar.

00:43:54.000 Was he a liar, Joe? 0.81

00:43:55.000 Was the special prosecutor a liar when he said that you are effectively non-compos mentis? 0.98

00:44:01.000 That's the kill shot that Trump missed, but not a huge deal.

00:44:04.000 Okay, so then we get into the section of the debate Where Joe Biden decides to go after Trump on Charlottesville and character and democracy and all this.

00:44:13.000 Now, this is an argument that was core to Biden's argument in 2020 and since January 6th.

00:44:18.000 The problem is, in the polls, he's actually losing this argument now.

00:44:20.000 In the swing states, a plurality of voters believe that Biden is more of a threat to democracy than Trump.

00:44:26.000 So Biden was asked a question, and I actually think that this is the most underreported headline from the debate, is what Biden said in response to this question, because it's actually quite dangerous.

00:44:33.000 He was asked a question by the moderators, About whether people who are voting for Trump are themselves a threat to democracy.

00:44:42.000 Right?

00:44:42.000 Not whether Trump's a threat to democracy, because Biden says that all the time, but whether people who are voting for him are a threat to democracy.

00:44:49.000 Now, huge mistake that's happened in debate before is presidential candidates slandering the American people or the part of the American people who are not going to vote for them.

00:44:57.000 This happened multiple times in presidential history in the modern era.

00:45:00.000 Remember Mitt Romney suggesting 47% of Americans aren't going to vote for me anyway, they don't pay taxes.

00:45:05.000 And a huge number of people were very upset about that.

00:45:07.000 And you remember Hillary Clinton in 2016 famously suggesting that people who didn't vote for her were deplorables.

00:45:12.000 You remember Barack Obama won despite this, but he suggested that a huge swath of Americans were bitter clingers, clinging to gods and guns and xenophobia.

00:45:19.000 So last night, Biden has asked whether everyone voting for Donald Trump is themselves a threat to democracy.

00:45:24.000 And here is his answer.

00:45:26.000 Do you believe that the tens of millions of Americans who are likely to vote for President Trump will be voting against American democracy?

00:45:34.000 The more they know about what he's done, yes.

00:45:37.000 The more they know about what he's done.

00:45:39.000 And there's a lot more coming.

00:45:40.000 He's got a lot of cases down the road coming around.

00:45:44.000 He's got a whole range of issues he has to face.

00:45:47.000 I don't know what the juries will do, but I do know he has a real problem.

00:45:51.000 And so the fact that, could you ever think you're hearing any president say that I'm going to seek retribution?

00:45:57.000 Do you ever hear any president say that I thought Hitler had some good ideas? 0.86

00:46:01.000 What got me involved to run in the first place after my son had died, I decided in Iraq, because of Iraq, I said I wasn't going to run again. 0.98

00:46:08.000 Until I saw what happened in Charlottesville, Virginia.

00:46:11.000 People coming out of the woods carrying swastikas on torches, and singing the same anti-Semitic bile they sang back in Germany.

00:46:21.000 And what did, and a young woman got killed.

00:46:23.000 I spoke to the mother, and she, they asked him, they said, what, what do you think of those people?

00:46:28.000 The people who, the ones that got killed, the ones who tried to stop it, and the ones, he said, I think they're fine people on both sides.

00:46:35.000 What American president would ever say, Nazis coming out of fields, carrying torches, singing the same anti-Semitic bile, carrying swastikas?

00:46:45.000 We're fine people.

00:46:47.000 This is a guy who's done some good things.

00:46:49.000 I'd like to know what they are. 0.90

00:46:51.000 Okay, and then Trump immediately comes back and calls him a liar, because he is.

00:46:54.000 The Charlottesville lie that Biden suggested, that Trump suggested that the white supremacists at Charlottesville were very fine people, he was talking about people opposing the statues coming down, or in favor of the statues coming down.

00:47:08.000 And Trump should lax him on that.

00:47:09.000 But the takeaway there is that, and the thing people are missing, is Joe Biden literally just labeled 75-80 million Americans traitors.

00:47:16.000 He's been doing that kind of sadavoce.

00:47:18.000 He's been pretending it's only the ultra-mega Republicans.

00:47:23.000 And it turns out, no, if you back Trump, he thinks you're a threat to democracy.

00:47:27.000 That's what Joe Biden actually thinks.

00:47:29.000 Well, Joe Biden has sicked his DOJ on Donald Trump.

00:47:32.000 And here's the thing, the IRS will be sicked on you if you're struggling with back taxes or unfiled returns.

00:48:41.000 And it was just a litany of bad news for Joe Biden last night.

00:48:44.000 At one point, Joe Biden actually acknowledged that inflation was bad.

00:48:47.000 And of course, Trump then jumped on him and said, well, I mean, it is your fault, dude.

00:48:52.000 I made sure that we're in a situation where all those black families and those black individuals who provided had to take out student loans that were ballooning, that if they were engaged in nursing and anything having to do with volunteerism, if they paid their bills for 10 years on their student debt, all the rest was forgiven after 10 years. 0.98

00:49:14.000 Millions have benefited from that.

00:49:16.000 And we're going to do a whole lot more for black families.

00:49:19.000 Thank you, President Trump.

00:49:21.000 And he caused the inflation.

00:49:22.000 He's blaming inflation.

00:49:24.000 And he's right.

00:49:25.000 It's been very bad. 0.93

00:49:26.000 He caused the inflation and it's killing black families and Hispanic families and just about everybody. 0.98

00:49:32.000 It's killing people. 0.90

00:49:33.000 They can't buy groceries anymore.

00:49:35.000 They can't.

00:49:35.000 You look at the cost of food where it's doubled and tripled and quadrupled.

00:49:40.000 They can't live.

00:49:41.000 They're not living anymore.

00:49:43.000 He caused this inflation.

00:49:44.000 I gave him a country with essentially no inflation.

00:49:48.000 It was perfect.

00:49:49.000 It was so good.

00:49:50.000 All he had to do was leave it alone.

00:49:51.000 He destroyed it with his Green New Scam and all this money that's being thrown out the window. 0.83

00:49:58.000 Absolutely right.

00:49:59.000 Now, I will say one of the funniest moments of the night is when the discovery was made that America has H2O. 0.52

00:50:05.000 This is a discovery that was made by President Trump, and I'd be remiss if I didn't at least play the clip because it's hilarious.

00:50:09.000 Here was President Trump last night suggesting that America was well endowed with resources when he was president.

00:50:16.000 Here we go.

00:50:18.000 So I want absolutely immaculate, clean water, and I want absolutely clean air, and we had it.

00:50:25.000 We had H2O.

00:50:27.000 We had the best numbers ever.

00:50:28.000 Best H2O ever.

00:50:30.000 We were using all forms of energy, all forms, everything.

00:50:34.000 And yet, during my four years, I had the best environmental numbers ever.

00:50:40.000 And my top environmental people gave me that statistic just before I walked on the stage, actually.

00:50:45.000 Okay, now one of the actual telling clips here, again, I think there were actual moments of quite lucid policy exposition here by Donald Trump.

00:50:55.000 So I played you what I thought was a great moment earlier where he discussed Joe Biden's foreign policy from sort of a 30,000 foot viewpoint and just crushed Biden over it.

00:51:03.000 Then he hit on it then.

00:51:05.000 He said, you know, Joe, you don't fire people.

00:51:07.000 Like, your military made a complete hash out of Afghanistan.

00:51:11.000 You didn't fire anybody.

00:51:12.000 And he doubled down on this here.

00:51:13.000 I thought this was an extremely strong point from Donald- particularly because, again, his entire brand is, you're fired.

00:51:19.000 And what he says here is so- this is actually quite well articulated.

00:51:23.000 Here was President Trump last night.

00:51:25.000 I've never seen him fire anybody.

00:51:26.000 I did fire a lot.

00:51:27.000 I fired Comey because he was no good.

00:51:28.000 I fired a lot of the top people at the FBI, drained the swamp.

00:51:32.000 They were no good.

00:51:33.000 Not easy to fire people.

00:51:34.000 You'd pay a price for it, but they were no good.

00:51:36.000 I inherited these people.

00:51:37.000 I didn't put him there.

00:51:38.000 I didn't put Comey there.

00:51:38.000 He was no good.

00:51:40.000 I fired him.

00:51:41.000 This guy hasn't fired anybody.

00:51:43.000 He never fires.

00:51:44.000 He should have fired every military man that was involved with that Afghan, the Afghanistan horror show, the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country. 1.00

00:51:55.000 He didn't fire.

00:51:55.000 Did you fire anybody?

00:51:57.000 Did you fire anybody that's on the border that's allowed us to have the worst border in the history of the world?

00:52:01.000 Did anybody get fired for allowing 18 million people, many from prisons, many from from mental institutions? 0.97

00:52:09.000 Did you fire anybody that allowed our country to be destroyed?

00:52:13.000 Joe, our country is being destroyed as you and I sit up here and waste a lot of time on this debate.

00:52:18.000 This shouldn't be a debate. 0.91

00:52:20.000 He is the worst president.

00:52:21.000 He just said it about me because I said it. 0.99

00:52:24.000 But look, he's the worst president in the history of our country.

00:52:27.000 He's destroyed our country.

00:52:28.000 Now, all of a sudden, he's trying to get a little tough on the border.

00:52:31.000 He came out with a nothing deal, and it reduced it a little bit.

00:52:36.000 A little bit, like this much.

00:52:38.000 It's insignificant.

00:52:39.000 He wants open borders.

00:52:42.000 Brutal.

00:52:43.000 A brutal and factual hit there from Donald Trump.

00:52:46.000 Again, Joe Biden thinks he's done a good job.

00:52:48.000 That's the part that's amazing.

00:52:49.000 Joe Biden and his team think that he's actually been a good president.

00:52:53.000 And now, Joe Biden was asked by the moderators about his age at the debate, and it was a giant fail.

00:52:59.000 Not only was it a giant fail, it then turned into a dueling conversation about the respective candidates' golf games, which only served to prove that Scotty Scheffler should actually be president of the United States.

00:53:13.000 I will admit this was highly amusing stuff.

00:53:15.000 So Biden tries to answer the question.

00:53:17.000 He can't.

00:53:17.000 He starts garbling his message, babbling about golf.

00:53:21.000 And then Trump comes right back at him because Trump likes golf.

00:53:23.000 He owns golf courses.

00:53:25.000 And it goes downhill from there.

00:53:27.000 Pretty great.

00:53:30.000 I spent half my career being criticized for being the youngest person in politics.

00:53:36.000 I was the second youngest person ever elected to the United States Senate, and now I'm the oldest.

00:53:41.000 This guy's three years younger and a lot less competent.

00:53:44.000 Well, I took two tests, cognitive tests.

00:53:46.000 I aced them, both of them, as you know.

00:53:48.000 We made it public.

00:53:49.000 He took none.

00:53:50.000 I'd like to see him take one, just one, a real easy one, like go through the first five questions.

00:53:54.000 He couldn't do it.

00:53:55.000 But I took two cognitive tests.

00:53:57.000 I took physical exams every year.

00:54:00.000 And you know, we knock on wood wherever we may have wood.

00:54:04.000 I'm in very good health.

00:54:05.000 I just won two club championships, not even senior.

00:54:08.000 Two regular club championships.

00:54:09.000 To do that, you have to be quite smart and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way.

00:54:15.000 And I do it.

00:54:15.000 He doesn't do it.

00:54:16.000 He can't hit a ball 50 yards.

00:54:17.000 You can see he is 6'5 and only 235 pounds.

00:54:19.000 and only 223 pounds or 2035 pounds.

00:54:23.000 Well, you said 64200.

00:54:26.000 Well, anyway, that's what you're anyway.

00:54:29.000 Just take a look at what he says he is and take a look at what he is.

00:54:32.000 Look, I'd be happy to have a driving contest with him.

00:54:35.000 The reason I got my handicap, which, when I was vice president, down to a six... I told you before, I'm happy to play golf if you carry your own bag.

00:54:47.000 Think you can do it?

00:54:48.000 That's the biggest lie, that he's a six handicap of all. 1.00

00:54:51.000 I was a eight handicap.

00:54:54.000 Eight?

00:54:55.000 I've seen you swing, I know you swing.

00:54:57.000 I've seen you swing, I know you swing.

00:54:59.000 Let's not act like children.

00:55:01.000 President Trump, we're going to turn around.

00:55:03.000 Let's not act like children.

00:55:05.000 Trump chiding Biden, let's not act like children, is amazing!

00:55:11.000 That's AMAZING!

00:55:12.000 He's over there like, oh yeah, 6 foot 5, 225 pounds, and I used to have an 8- By the way, ain't no way that dude has an 8 handicap or a 6 handicap, okay?

00:55:23.000 Like, not even close.

00:55:25.000 So when Trump- I love that that's the thing that pisses Trump off the most.

00:55:28.000 He's like, okay, you've wrecked the country, you've opened the border, you've destroyed us on foreign policy, you've wrecked the economy, but you- Yeah, so you're gonna sit here and tell me that you got a six handicap with a swing? 1.00

00:55:38.000 Looks like it came off my dead grandmother.

00:55:39.000 You gotta be kidding me.

00:55:42.000 It's so good.

00:55:43.000 It's so good.

00:55:43.000 And it's so bad for Biden.

00:55:45.000 I mean, that's really what this is.

00:55:46.000 Just terrible all the way around.

00:55:50.000 Trump makes another good point.

00:55:51.000 He says, listen, I wish you were a great president.

00:55:53.000 If you're a great president, I'd be enjoying my life right now rather than being under prosecution.

00:55:58.000 I wish he was a great president because I wouldn't be here right now.

00:56:01.000 I'd be at one of my many places enjoying myself.

00:56:05.000 I wouldn't be under indictment because I wouldn't have been his political opponent, you know, opponent, because he indicted me because I was his opponent.

00:56:13.000 I wish he was a great president.

00:56:15.000 I would rather have that.

00:56:17.000 I wouldn't be here.

00:56:18.000 I don't mind being here.

00:56:19.000 The only reason I'm here is he's so bad as a president.

00:56:22.000 That I'm going to make America great again.

00:56:24.000 We're going to make America great again.

00:56:26.000 We're a failing nation right now.

00:56:28.000 We're a seriously failing nation.

00:56:30.000 And we're a failing nation because of him.

00:56:32.000 His policies are so bad.

00:56:35.000 His military policies are insane. 0.69

00:56:39.000 They're insane.

00:56:40.000 These are wars that will never end with him.

00:56:42.000 He will drive us into World War Three. 0.97

00:56:44.000 And we're closer to World War Three than anybody can imagine.

00:56:48.000 We are very, very close to World War III and he's driving us there.

00:56:52.000 And Kim Jong-un and President Xi of China, Kim Jong-un of North Korea, all of these are Putin.

00:56:59.000 They don't respect him.

00:57:00.000 They don't fear him.

00:57:01.000 They have nothing going with this gentleman.

00:57:05.000 Okay, he's right about that.

00:57:06.000 Okay, Joe Biden has a final chance to sort of clean up the mess, right?

00:57:09.000 He's got a closing statement.

00:57:11.000 He couldn't even put together his closing statement.

00:57:14.000 He couldn't.

00:57:15.000 It was not possible for him to do so.

00:57:17.000 Watch as his brain just falls directly out his ears.

00:57:22.000 We've made significant progress from the debacle that was left by President Trump in

00:57:29.000 his last term.

00:57:30.000 We find ourselves in a situation where, number one, we have to make sure that we have a fair

00:57:36.000 tax system.

00:57:37.000 I ask anyone out there in the audience, or anyone out watching this debate, do you think

00:57:42.000 the tax system is fair?

00:57:43.000 The fact is that, I said, nobody making under $400,000 had a single penny increase in their

00:57:50.000 taxes and it will not. And if I'm reelected, that will be the case again.

00:57:54.000 But this guy has increased your taxes because of the deficit, number one.

00:57:59.000 He's increased inflation because of the debacle he left after the way he handled the pandemic.

00:58:05.000 And he finds himself in a position where he now wants to tax you more by putting a 10% tariff on everything that comes into the United States of America.

00:58:13.000 What I did was, for example, he wants to get rid of the ability of Medicare for us to be able to negotiate drug prices with the big pharma companies.

00:58:27.000 Well, guess what?

00:58:29.000 We got it down to $35 for insulin instead of $400.

00:58:36.000 I can't do it.

00:58:40.000 There's a minute left of this clip.

00:58:40.000 I can't do it.

00:58:41.000 I can't do it.

00:58:41.000 It's not possible to watch him.

00:58:42.000 It's not possible.

00:58:44.000 Like, it's just not.

00:58:47.000 So, the aftermath of the debate for Joe and Dr. Joe is maybe the most horrifying part of this, because the horror sets in the more you listen to this and the more you watch it.

00:58:57.000 Because yes, it's funny, and yes, it's ridiculous, and yes, it's humiliating, but it's also just sad.

00:59:02.000 It's also just sad. 0.82

00:59:04.000 Dr. Jill, the greatest doctor in all the land.

00:59:06.000 She's such a great doctor and such a great person.

00:59:09.000 She has stood by while Joe Biden humiliated himself in front of billions of people.

00:59:14.000 Billions of people.

00:59:16.000 Joe Biden, right after the debate, he just is smiling, looking wildly out of it.

00:59:22.000 Just looking wildly out of it.

00:59:23.000 And then Jill guides him off stage.

00:59:26.000 Here is some tape of Jill.

00:59:27.000 This is right in the aftermath of the debate.

00:59:29.000 Jill takes his arm, and this is kind of by accident, CNN shows this.

00:59:34.000 You can see, look at this.

00:59:36.000 She holds his arm.

00:59:37.000 He's taking tiny little steps.

00:59:38.000 Tiny little steps so he doesn't fall off the stage.

00:59:41.000 And she's guiding this corpse down the steps.

00:59:43.000 And it's just sad.

00:59:45.000 It's just humiliating.

00:59:48.000 It's really, really sad.

00:59:50.000 He can barely move.

00:59:52.000 And then, Jill does some sort of victory rally with Joe, and she treats him the way I would treat my four-year-old coming home with finger paintings.

01:00:02.000 That's the way she treats him. 1.00

01:00:06.000 It's like stomach-churning to watch these clips of Jill Biden, who is just I don't think he's a particularly good person.

01:00:14.000 Here's Jill Biden, certainly not a very good wife. 1.00

01:00:17.000 No wife should put her husband in a position like this. 0.99

01:00:19.000 Or allow him to put himself in a position like this if you're non-compos mentis, the way Biden clearly is.

01:00:23.000 Biden is smiling randomly, looking out into nothingness.

01:00:27.000 And here's Jill Biden treating him like a child who just came home with a C on the spelling test.

01:00:33.000 Joe, you did such a great job.

01:00:34.000 You answered every question.

01:00:36.000 You were all the way.

01:00:38.000 question and he's smiling like it is my birthday.

01:00:41.000 Let me ask the crowd, what did Trump do?

01:00:45.000 Why?

01:00:48.000 Oh my goodness.

01:00:50.000 Wow, well she, I mean she wants to be president because she is the effective president of the United States right now having earned precisely zero votes and having no qualifications for literally any job because an ed degree gives you nothing. 0.99

01:01:00.000 Especially an ed degree from a university named after your husband.

01:01:04.000 In any case, She then cut another video touting his performance, which she put out on the interwebs right afterward.

01:01:11.000 Of course, she's the one who has to put out the video because Joe is being packed back into the coffin for tomorrow morning.

01:01:17.000 Here we go.

01:01:19.000 You heard Joe's heart tonight on the debate stage.

01:01:22.000 He wakes up every morning thinking about how he can make the lives of Americans better.

01:01:27.000 He's the president we need, the president you deserve.

01:01:31.000 Sign up at JoeBiden.com to help finish the job.

01:01:37.000 Jill Biden, what a piece of work. 1.00

01:01:39.000 Seriously, what a piece of work.

01:01:40.000 Okay, so the fallout sets in immediately.

01:01:43.000 There are two snap polls, one from CNN, one from the Daily Mail, same result.

01:01:47.000 CNN snap poll, Trump wins this debate, 67 to 33, which just informs you that 33% of the American population apparently suffered a brain aneurysm last night.

01:01:56.000 The Daily Mail did a poll of independents in the United States, 68 to 32, in favor of Donald Trump. 0.54

01:02:03.000 And again, 32% of the American public apparently is just as brain dead as our current president.

01:02:08.000 The Biden campaign tried to try out Kamala Harris. 0.88

01:02:11.000 Now, Kamala Harris is in an awkward position because the reality is that no one in the Democratic Party wants her either. 0.99

01:02:17.000 And that's gotta just grate on her, right?

01:02:19.000 I mean, she's sitting there and she's going, I'm a great, I'm so good.

01:02:22.000 I'm a good candidate.

01:02:23.000 Why don't they just hand it to me?

01:02:28.000 And the entire Democratic Party is like, no.

01:02:31.000 We'll prop El Cid on the horse over here.

01:02:33.000 We'd rather go with Bernie, not Bernie Sanders, like Weekend at Bernie's over here.

01:02:36.000 We'd rather that.

01:02:38.000 So she goes on the networks and she has to somehow try to spin this thing.

01:02:42.000 Anderson Cooper, who is a Biden lackey extraordinaire, loves Joe Biden, loves the Biden administration, would be a member of the administration if you weren't getting paid so much money on CNN.

01:02:51.000 Anderson Cooper's like, can you spin this?

01:02:54.000 Should you spin this?

01:02:55.000 How do you spin this?

01:03:00.000 What we saw tonight is the president making a very clear contrast with Donald Trump on all of the issues that matter to the American people.

01:03:08.000 Yes, there was a slow start, but it was a strong finish.

01:03:11.000 And what became very clear through the course of the night is that Joe Biden is fighting on behalf of the American people, on substance, on policy, on performance.

01:03:23.000 Joe Biden is extraordinarily strong, and that cannot be debated.

01:03:27.000 But I'm sorry, on substance and policy and performance tonight, I mean, the President's performance tonight clearly was disappointing for his supporters.

01:03:35.000 CNN is reporting Democratic lawmakers watching the debate were worried about the President's performance.

01:03:42.000 One said it was a disaster, another called it a train wreck.

01:03:46.000 Those are Democrats especially worried that Biden did not punch back on Trump's lies.

01:03:51.000 All of this preceded a Kamala Harris meltdown on Anderson Cooper.

01:03:54.000 At a certain point here, she's tired of hearing the truth, and so she's just going to go full-scale Jack Nicholson and a few good men.

01:04:00.000 I got the point that you're making about a one and a half hour debate tonight.

01:04:06.000 I'm talking about three and a half years of performance in work that has been historic.

01:04:13.000 But is that the man who we saw on the stage tonight?

01:04:16.000 Is that the person you see in meetings every day?

01:04:20.000 The person that you saw on the debate stage that has, for the last three and a half years, up until today, performed in a way that has been about, whether it be in the Oval Office, negotiating bipartisan deals so that we have an infrastructure, a real infrastructure plan where we're putting trillions of dollars on the streets of America to upgrade our infrastructure.

01:04:42.000 Whether it be the person I see in the Oval Office who is meeting with heads of the military and the intelligence community and in the Situation Room.

01:04:52.000 She's still trying to play it, right?

01:04:54.000 They're still trying.

01:04:54.000 And by the way, we'll get to it in a second.

01:04:56.000 Everybody in the Democratic Party is calling for Joe Biden to stay on down. 0.98

01:04:59.000 And he's like, nope, I ain't going nowhere, suckers. 0.96

01:05:02.000 I'm here and I ain't going. 0.96

01:05:04.000 I'm going zero places, says Joe Biden.

01:05:07.000 CNN has reported this morning, quote, not only does the president not plan to drop out, Biden remains committed to a second debate in September.

01:05:14.000 Will he even be alive in September?

01:05:18.000 I mean, he's worse than he was in February.

01:05:21.000 It's a disaster area.

01:05:22.000 So, okay, how bad is the fallout in the media?

01:05:25.000 So again, as I said at the top of the show, the fallout here is not just for Joe Biden.

01:05:28.000 The fallout is for members of the media who lied to you, who lied and lied and lied and lied to your face.

01:05:33.000 They were part of an actual media-led conspiracy to pretend that Joe Biden was totally fit, he was totally fine, that behind closed doors, that dude is a chess grandmaster capable of defeating Bobby Fischer, that behind closed doors, he, like Thomas Jefferson, is writing in different languages with each hand simultaneously, that behind closed doors, that dude is performing Quadratic equations and higher-level calculus and decoding the secrets of quantum mechanics.

01:06:00.000 And it turns out that he has no functioning neurons.

01:06:04.000 None.

01:06:05.000 He is gone.

01:06:06.000 So they are humiliated.

01:06:08.000 So let me just read you a few quotes from the New York Times today.

01:06:10.000 These are all different columnists, okay?

01:06:12.000 The New York Times, their op-ed page today is just a series of pieces Of various Democrats crying.

01:06:19.000 Our Tumblr overfloweth.

01:06:21.000 Overfloweth.

01:06:22.000 There is no more room.

01:06:23.000 Every Tumblr in all of a hundred mile radius of our studios here has been overflowing all morning.

01:06:29.000 Serious plumbing issues happening all over the Nashville area.

01:06:33.000 Here is Thomas Friedman.

01:06:35.000 And this is delicious because I think Thomas Friedman is a terrible person and a horrifying commentator.

01:06:40.000 I watched the Biden-Trump debate alone in a Lisbon hotel room, and it made me weep.

01:06:50.000 I cannot remember a more heartbreaking moment in American presidential campaign politics in my lifetime precisely because of what it revealed.

01:06:56.000 Joe Biden, a good man and a good president, has no business running for re-election.

01:07:00.000 The Biden family and political team must gather quickly and have the hardest of conversations with the president.

01:07:04.000 A conversation of love and clarity and resolve.

01:07:06.000 To give America the greatest shot possible of deterring the Trump threat in November, the president has to come forward and declare he will not be running for re-election and is releasing all of his delegates for the Democratic National Convention.

01:07:18.000 Oh man, when Thomas Friedman is weeping alone in a Lisbon hotel room.

01:07:23.000 I mean that, wow.

01:07:24.000 What an image.

01:07:25.000 Usually he's just weeping in the back of taxi cabs.

01:07:28.000 Frank Bruni, same day, same newspaper, quote, 10 minutes in, I had a knot in my stomach.

01:07:34.000 20 minutes in, the knot was so tight, it hurt.

01:07:36.000 We finally beat Medicare, he said early on, and I had no idea what he was talking about, unquote.

01:07:42.000 Nicholas Kristof, ally to the President of the United States, quote, President Biden is a good man who kept a long career in public service with a successful presidential term.

01:07:50.000 But I hope he reviews his debate performance Thursday evening and withdraws from the race, throwing the choice of a Democratic nominee to the convention in August.

01:07:59.000 Michelle Goldberg, New York Times, quote, Biden looked ancient and sounded lost.

01:08:02.000 There will now be a new chorus of cries for him to drop out and I'll be joining it. 0.79

01:08:07.000 The Playbook Politico headline today, quote, Democrats wake up to a nightmare.

01:08:13.000 Quote, the mass panic among Democrats began last night about 12 minutes into the debate.

01:08:17.000 President Biden was answering a question about the national debt.

01:08:20.000 He confused trillionaires and billionaires, but corrected himself quickly.

01:08:22.000 He stumbled over millions and billions, but again, fixed it.

01:08:24.000 Then he started to tick off the things he could pay for with his tax plan.

01:08:27.000 Then something went wrong.

01:08:29.000 As he reached for a final example, he lost his train of thought, stumbled around, and just paused while staring at the floor.

01:08:34.000 When he popped his head up, it seemed like he had recovered his thought.

01:08:36.000 Instead, he blurted out this nonsensical line, we finally beat Medicare.

01:08:41.000 Our phones blew up just like yours.

01:08:43.000 A sample.

01:08:44.000 I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue, said a Democratic House member.

01:08:48.000 I'm on a lot of chains of people gaming out how Biden withdraws.

01:08:50.000 Need open convention.

01:08:51.000 He has to go.

01:08:52.000 Who are the grandees who could tell him to go?

01:08:54.000 Obama, Clinton, Gore, Pelosi, Clyburn?

01:08:56.000 A former senior Obama official wrote.

01:08:58.000 I think there's shortlists being made.

01:08:59.000 Whitmer, Beshear, Cooper, Newsom, a Democratic operative said.

01:09:03.000 A Clinton alum sent a trainwreck gif.

01:09:07.000 The second half of the debate was mildly better for Biden.

01:09:10.000 His campaign insisted their dial-tested focus groups showed improvement.

01:09:13.000 But when it came to focus groups of Democratic insiders, it was too little too late to allay the deep sense of foreboding that rippled through their ranks last night.

01:09:20.000 So about 15 minutes into the debate, when it was clear that Joe Biden was not with it, they started sending out a message, the Biden campaign, that he had a cold.

01:09:27.000 Two sources said he had a cold.

01:09:29.000 Do you mean that his body has assumed room temperature?

01:09:32.000 That was not the result of a cold, my friends.

01:09:35.000 For a cold, right before a debate, you know, just grab some Dayquil and go for it.

01:09:41.000 Nope! 0.77

01:09:43.000 That was a president whose brain has turned into tapioca pudding. 0.95

01:09:47.000 It is full-scale disaster time.

01:09:49.000 They are pulling all of the ripcords in the Democratic Party right now.

01:09:53.000 Dave Wasserman, who is a really good pollster and also tends toward the left, said this debate making abundantly clear Biden's insistence on running for another term when 66% of voters in our swing state polls believe it's likely he won't be able to finish a second term has gravely jeopardized Dems' prospects to defeat Trump.

01:10:08.000 All the members of the so-called Lincoln Project, all the all the Never Trump Republicans who stayed Never Trump Republicans all the way till 2024.

01:10:16.000 The last Japanese in Okinawa 40 years after the collapse, still fighting World War II.

01:10:23.000 Charlie Sykes and Heath Mayo, they tweeted out last night, folks, this is not good at all.

01:10:28.000 Heath Mayo, not good folks, disaster in fact.

01:10:32.000 Casey Hunt of CNN tweeted out in the middle of the debate, The voice, open-mouthed look, and visual contrast between President Biden and former President Trump all have Democrats I'm talking to nearly beside themselves watching this debate.

01:10:43.000 That was 48 minutes into the debate.

01:10:47.000 Joe Scarborough gave up the ghost this morning.

01:10:51.000 So Joe Scarborough, who was the guy who just a few months ago was talking about how Joe Biden was the kindest, smartest, most brilliant, most witty, most generous man he had ever known.

01:11:02.000 This morning he was like, I think he might need to go.

01:11:05.000 I think he might need to go.

01:11:06.000 I'm not sure that anyone has humiliated themselves on behalf of Biden worse than Scarborough has here.

01:11:12.000 His presidency has been an unqualified success.

01:11:19.000 If, however, you believe, as do I, and as do so many people who watch this program and who Fear.

01:11:37.000 Just how dark of a place a second Donald Trump term will take America.

01:11:45.000 Then I think it's critical that we ask the same questions.

01:11:50.000 About this man I love, respect, and whose public service in saving this country from Donald Trump over the last three and a half years, I honor and always will.

01:12:08.000 I think we have to ask the same questions of him that we have asked of Donald Trump since 2016.

01:12:15.000 And that is, if he were CEO, And he turned in a performance like that.

01:12:24.000 Would any corporation in America, any Fortune 500 corporation in America, keep him on as CEO?

01:12:33.000 Oh boy.

01:12:34.000 Van Jones, who is a truly honest person.

01:12:37.000 I know Van, I'm friends with Van.

01:12:39.000 A truly honest person who calls it like he sees it, even when I think he's wrong.

01:12:41.000 Here he happens to be dead on.

01:12:43.000 Here was Van Jones last night on CNN.

01:12:46.000 I love that guy.

01:12:48.000 That's a good man.

01:12:49.000 He loves his country.

01:12:51.000 He's doing the best that he can.

01:12:53.000 But he had a test to meet tonight to restore confidence of the country and of the base, and he failed to do that.

01:13:01.000 And I think there's a lot of people who are going to want to see him consider taking a different course now.

01:13:08.000 We're still far from our convention.

01:13:10.000 And there is time for this party to figure out a different way forward if you will allow us to do that.

01:13:16.000 But that was not what we needed from Joe Biden.

01:13:18.000 And it's personally painful for a lot of people.

01:13:21.000 It's not just panic, it's pain.

01:13:23.000 David Axelrod, formerly of the Obama campaign, he too was in a state of lamentation.

01:13:28.000 Sat cloth ashes the whole deal.

01:13:32.000 You know, he seemed a little disoriented.

01:13:33.000 He did get stronger as the debate went on.

01:13:35.000 But by that time, I think the panic had set in.

01:13:39.000 And I think you're going to hear discussions that I don't know will lead to anything.

01:13:44.000 But, you know, there is going to be discussion about whether he should continue.

01:13:49.000 And I think part of it is Donald Trump did not meet his mission either.

01:13:54.000 he really could not resist the attention of the uh... the temptation

01:13:59.000 to be nasty to uh... prevaricate about a whole bunch of things

01:14:06.000 a disaster area A disaster area.

01:14:08.000 Joy Reid, MSNBC, same story.

01:14:10.000 Here she was saying, like, the quiet part out loud that is now out loud, right?

01:14:14.000 We were all saying it, and then we were yelled at for saying it.

01:14:16.000 Here she is saying it.

01:14:19.000 I too was on the phone throughout much of the debate.

01:14:21.000 With Obama, world people, with the Democrats, with people who are political operatives, with campaign operatives, my phone really never stopped buzzing throughout.

01:14:33.000 And the universal reaction was somewhere approaching panic.

01:14:40.000 The people who were texting with me were very concerned about President Biden seeming extremely feeble, seeming extremely weak.

01:14:51.000 OK, so in just a second, we're going to get into, can they actually replace him?

01:14:55.000 Because that is the question of the day.

01:14:57.000 That is the thing that Democrats are wondering.

01:14:59.000 But to hear that discussion, you have to be a member.

01:15:01.000 Become a member right now.
