The Ben Shapiro Show - Trump’s Last Day, And Biden’s First | Ep. 1177

00:00:00.000 President Trump gives his farewell address, the media go full Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally over Joe Biden, and President Biden's early picks don't inspire a lot of confidence.

00:00:08.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.

00:00:08.000 This is the Ben Shapiro Show.

00:00:15.000 The Ben Shapiro Show is sponsored by ExpressVPN.

00:01:23.000 They are indeed simply smarter wireless.

00:01:26.000 Okay, so today is President Trump's last day in office.

00:01:30.000 He is leaving around noon today, or he left around noon today, depending on when you are listening to this.

00:01:35.000 And Joe Biden is slated to take office around noon Eastern time.

00:01:40.000 He'll be sworn in slightly before then.

00:01:41.000 That is when he is going to be giving his inauguration address, and we'll be covering that a little bit later on when he actually gives it.

00:01:48.000 But first, President Trump has to leave.

00:01:50.000 President Trump gave a farewell address last night.

00:01:53.000 And honestly, listening to the farewell address, it makes you sad for a couple of reasons.

00:01:57.000 One, what we're about to get from the Biden administration is not going to be conducive to American liberty.

00:02:01.000 For all the talk about the wonders of Joe Biden, which we'll get to in just a second, and how he's going to bring the country together, The reality is the next four years are going to be a time in which many of your core liberties are encroached upon.

00:02:12.000 Religious liberty will be encroached upon. 1.00

00:02:13.000 Freedom of speech will be encroached upon.

00:02:15.000 Freedom of association will be encroached upon.

00:02:17.000 All in the name of healing and unity.

00:02:20.000 That is what we can expect over the next four years.

00:02:22.000 I hope that that is not so.

00:02:23.000 As with every president, every week in shul, in my synagogue, we pray for the government of the United States, including the president of the United States.

00:02:30.000 We'll continue to do that for Joe Biden, obviously, because you pray for the person who is who is holding the office.

00:02:36.000 I just pray that Joe Biden doesn't do what his base wants him to do, which is to encroach upon those core liberties that Americans hold dear.

00:02:43.000 So seeing Trump leave office and in some ways he was a bulwark against a lot of those encroachments.

00:02:48.000 That's sad.

00:02:49.000 It's also sad to hear Trump's farewell address in the sense that you hear what could have been had he stayed on message.

00:02:55.000 And this is something that so many of us said for years at a time, which was Trump is giving us all this good policy, right?

00:03:01.000 He's giving us the judges that we want.

00:03:02.000 He's giving us the foreign policy that we want.

00:03:04.000 He's giving us a booming economy.

00:03:07.000 Why can't he just stay out of his own way?

00:03:09.000 Why doesn't he just stay on the teleprompter?

00:03:11.000 So last night he gives his farewell address and his farewell address is replete with a bunch of statements that frankly are great.

00:03:17.000 He says a lot of things here that I wish he had just said for four years.

00:03:20.000 And by the way, if he had said that for four years long, Then he wouldn't be leaving the White House with this sort of aura of depression, right?

00:03:28.000 He probably wouldn't be leaving the White House at all if he had stopped with the extraneous nonsense that he was doing throughout his administration and had just stuck to the fact that his administration accomplished some pretty fantastic, fantastic things.

00:03:41.000 Now here is Trump in his farewell address leading off.

00:03:45.000 As I conclude my term as the 45th President of the United States, I stand before you truly proud of what we have achieved together.

00:03:55.000 We did what we came here to do, and so much more.

00:04:02.000 This week, we inaugurate a new administration and pray for its success in keeping America safe and prosperous.

00:04:11.000 We extend our best wishes and we also want them to have luck.

00:04:17.000 A very important word.

00:04:19.000 Okay, so he still does not mention Joe Biden's name there, but obviously he is talking about the incoming Biden administration.

00:04:24.000 He then continues and talks about American unity.

00:04:27.000 Again, this is the message that I wish he had been pressing forward for his entire time in office.

00:04:31.000 Yes, he was taking unbelievable slings and arrows, like no president in the modern history of the United States.

00:04:36.000 I mean, it was way worse than what George W. Bush had to take.

00:04:39.000 Yes, it is true that he was taking incoming fire from people inside the executive branch through the Russia investigation and the perversion of that investigation.

00:04:46.000 All of that is true.

00:04:47.000 It is also true that if he had presented an optimistic face to the American public during what was a boom time in America before COVID, it would have served him quite well.

00:04:55.000 Here was Trump talking about American unity.

00:04:59.000 We must never forget that while Americans will always have our disagreements, we are a nation of incredible, decent, faithful, and peace-loving citizens who all want our country to thrive and flourish and be very, very successful and good.

00:05:16.000 We are a truly magnificent nation.

00:05:20.000 Okay, President Trump continued along these lines.

00:05:22.000 He talked about how Americans were horrified by the assault on the Capitol building.

00:05:26.000 And again, this is true.

00:05:27.000 I understand that for a lot of media, for a lot of Democrats, the idea here is that Republicans were totally fine with the assault on the Capitol building.

00:05:34.000 That is not true.

00:05:35.000 The attempt to lump everybody in with the Capitol rioters is being used as the pretext in order to encroach on American liberties.

00:05:40.000 Here was Trump talking about the horrible events on January 6th.

00:05:45.000 All Americans were horrified by the assault on our Capitol.

00:05:49.000 Political violence is an attack on everything we cherish as Americans.

00:05:53.000 It can never be tolerated.

00:05:55.000 Now, more than ever, we must unify around our shared values and rise above the partisan rancor and forge our common destiny.

00:06:05.000 He again talked then about his his movement.

00:06:08.000 He talked about the movement that he had led.

00:06:11.000 And honest to God, if you just stayed on this message, it's the reason I'm frustrated here is because, again, we're going to talk in a second about what's about to hit the United States in the form of the Biden administration.

00:06:22.000 And a lot of people are saying, oh, return to normalcy.

00:06:24.000 Well, in some ways, it will be a return to normalcy, right?

00:06:26.000 You're not going to get the extraordinary bloviation.

00:06:29.000 You're not going to get the crazy tweets.

00:06:30.000 You're not going to get the daily news cycle that revolves around something weird that went through Trump's head and then got spilled out on Twitter.

00:06:36.000 That's not what you're going to get.

00:06:37.000 All you're going to get.

00:06:39.000 In my opinion, and this is my prediction, it's consistently bad policy that violates your rights.

00:06:43.000 That's what you're going to get.

00:06:44.000 So if that's the old normal, the old normal wasn't that great.

00:06:47.000 I remember the Obama years.

00:06:48.000 And I remember the gaslighting the media put us through.

00:06:50.000 I remember the establishment media defending everything Obama did, even as he encroached on their own liberties.

00:06:55.000 Obama jailed journalists.

00:06:57.000 Obama was engaging in foreign wars without congressional supervision.

00:07:02.000 And the media treated it like it was nothing.

00:07:03.000 The media treated it like the only scandal of the Obama administration was that he once wore a tan suit.

00:07:08.000 So we're gonna go right back to that.

00:07:09.000 We're just gonna get the steady encroachment on American liberty.

00:07:11.000 But we're not gonna get at least the circus, right?

00:07:13.000 The circus won't be in town as much.

00:07:14.000 But, you know, instead we'll get actual policy that violates your rights.

00:07:19.000 We'll get actual bad stuff happening in the United States much worse than anything that Trump did in terms of policy.

00:07:25.000 Here is Trump talking about his movement.

00:07:28.000 Together with millions of hard-working patriots across this land, we built the greatest political movement in the history of our country.

00:07:35.000 We restored the principle that a nation exists to serve its citizens.

00:07:40.000 Our agenda was not about right or left.

00:07:44.000 It wasn't about Republican or Democrat, but about the good of a nation, and that means the whole nation.

00:07:52.000 Okay.

00:07:53.000 And then he spilled out a series of his accomplishments.

00:07:56.000 And by the way, they are real accomplishments.

00:07:58.000 He talked about the income rising throughout the nation in unprecedented ways in the early years of the administration.

00:08:05.000 He talked about the stock market boom.

00:08:06.000 He talked about how when the nation was hit with a pandemic, Operation Warp Speed helped contribute to the development of vaccine inside of months.

00:08:14.000 Not years, months, nine months.

00:08:16.000 He talked about border policy, including agreements with Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador to keep people in those countries as they applied for asylum, as well as building wall.

00:08:26.000 He talked about America's foreign policy and restoring a certain level of foreign policy leadership that was completely lacking.

00:08:31.000 I mean, it was Barack Obama who suggested that America had to lead from behind, which is a contradiction in terms you may have noticed.

00:08:37.000 Trump didn't do that.

00:08:38.000 Trump may have gone his own way on foreign policy, but all too often, going his own way meant actual good foreign policy.

00:08:45.000 He talked about his policy in the Middle East, which led to historic peace agreements that never would have been possible under a democratic administration, because the Democrats believe that the only way to solve the question of peace in the Middle East is to force our only ally in the region, Israel, into concessions to terrorists.

00:09:00.000 Trump overturned that agenda, and instead he said, you know what?

00:09:03.000 Israel's not going anywhere.

00:09:04.000 We're recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital, we're recognizing the Golan Heights as Israeli sovereign territory, and they're not going anywhere, so you may as well make peace with them if you want to fend off the Iranian threat. 0.97

00:09:13.000 And it worked.

00:09:14.000 It worked in extraordinary ways.

00:09:16.000 The Abraham Accords are a major accomplishment, a major diplomatic accomplishment that if they had occurred under any other president would have undoubtedly won that president a Nobel Peace Prize.

00:09:25.000 But most of all, most of all, what Trump should have stood for, what was the message that he was putting out in some of his major addresses, whether it was his address in Poland with regard to Western civilization or his address at Mount Rushmore with regard to American values.

00:09:38.000 The notion that America ought to be proud of its founding principles, When that leaves, okay, when that leaves the White House, that is going to be a tragedy for the country.

00:09:48.000 Not Trump leaving the White House personally, right?

00:09:51.000 Trump is just a person.

00:09:52.000 But what replaces Trump, the incoming Biden administration, has already pledged itself to the vision of the 1619 Project, which is that America is a horrible place, filled with brutality and racism, and that the only way that can be fixed is the complete reimagining of the relationship between individuals and government.

00:10:09.000 So this is why, if you are a conservative, you think of this as a blown opportunity.

00:10:14.000 You think of all the great things that happened here in terms of policy, and then you think of this as a massive blown opportunity.

00:10:19.000 And the tragedy of a blown opportunity is sometimes greater than the tragedy of inevitable fate.

00:10:26.000 This was not inevitable.

00:10:27.000 There was nothing here that was inevitable. 1.00

00:10:29.000 It was not inevitable that Donald Trump was going to lose to a geriatric dotard. 1.00

00:10:33.000 That was not a thing. 0.99

00:10:35.000 Okay, Trump's loss is gonna have some pretty significant repercussions for the rest of the country.

00:10:39.000 And by the way, losing those two Senate seats in Georgia, which he contributed to, is also gonna have some pretty serious repercussions for the United States.

00:10:45.000 When you watch him talk, as he did in his farewell address, you think, why couldn't we have had that for four years?

00:10:49.000 Why couldn't we have had that?

00:10:50.000 Because if he had done that for four years, then he would have done it for eight.

00:10:52.000 And we can get to more of what Trump had to say in his farewell address in just one second.

00:10:57.000 Then we will get to the mainstream media just orgasming all over themselves. 0.99

00:11:01.000 I mean, it really is quite disgusting.

00:11:02.000 We'll get to that in just one moment.

00:11:05.000 I've been talking about ExpressVPN on my show for months.

00:11:07.000 Why haven't you gotten a VPN yet?

00:11:08.000 You need a VPN.

00:11:09.000 Do you want big tech looking over your shoulder, particularly big tech as pushed into censorship by the Democrats in Congress and the media?

00:11:18.000 Do you really want hackers to be able to access your private information online?

00:11:22.000 You don't.

00:11:22.000 This is why you need ExpressVPN.

00:11:24.000 That's why I and thousands of my patriotic listeners choose to secure our online data by using ExpressVPN.

00:11:29.000 Did you believe that a VPN isn't for you because you can use the internet just fine without one?

00:11:32.000 Well, anytime you go online, your ISP can see every site you're visiting.

00:11:35.000 If you're confused about how it works, ExpressVPN is an app for computers and smartphones that encrypts your network data, reroutes it through a secure server.

00:11:41.000 That means you can use the internet more anonymously without having your activity tracked.

00:11:45.000 Do you think VPNs are complex?

00:11:46.000 Only for tech experts?

00:11:48.000 Okay, I am certainly not a tech expert.

00:11:48.000 They are not.

00:11:50.000 You can just download it.

00:11:51.000 It takes like a couple of minutes.

00:11:52.000 You click a button.

00:11:53.000 You are now protected.

00:11:54.000 It's that easy.

00:11:55.000 I trust ExpressVPN to protect my online data because they are rated number one by CNET and Wired.

00:11:59.000 Man, they stand with my values.

00:12:01.000 Now is the time for you to take a stance.

00:12:16.000 OK, so President Trump and the message that he puts out in this farewell address is the one that is going to be lost amid a Democratic backlash to traditional American values, which they've been pushing during the Obama years.

00:12:26.000 They continue to push it hard today.

00:12:28.000 The basic idea of the Democratic Party and the media is that America is an awful place founded on awful values.

00:12:33.000 Yesterday, the White House had put out the 1776 report.

00:12:37.000 I talked about it briefly on the show.

00:12:39.000 The 1776 report was meant as a rebuttal to the 1619 project.

00:12:42.000 CNN reported, not in an opinion piece, reported that it was racist.

00:12:47.000 They said that the 1776 report, which basically just said the Declaration is good, the Constitution is good, and identity politics is bad, was actually racist.

00:12:54.000 So that is what is incoming here.

00:12:56.000 Trump, in his farewell address, expresses the beliefs of, I think, the vast majority of the American public when he says, no, America is a wonderful place.

00:13:03.000 Here is Trump talking about our values.

00:13:05.000 He says, no nation can thrive if you lose faith in your own values.

00:13:10.000 No nation can long thrive that loses faith in its own values, history, and heroes, for these are the very sources of our unity and our vitality.

00:13:21.000 What has always allowed America to prevail and triumph over the great challenges of the past has been an unyielding and unashamed conviction in the nobility of our country and its unique purpose in history.

00:13:35.000 We must never lose this conviction.

00:13:37.000 We must never forsake our belief in America.

00:13:41.000 Okay, but unfortunately, many people have lost their belief in America.

00:13:44.000 By the way, some of that applies on the right as well as the left.

00:13:47.000 And if you storm the Capitol building because you believe that America is so much on the brink that there is no future for the country, unless you overthrow the democratic process, you have lost your faith in America.

00:13:56.000 Okay, so if you want to believe in America, then you actually have to believe in its founding values, and that includes respect for its institutions, as well as a belief in the founding values of liberty that are encoded in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.

00:14:09.000 And then Trump continued along these lines.

00:14:10.000 He talked about a shared national identity, which of course is completely contrary to the democratic agenda, which is to divvy everybody up by race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and then to treat them as separate members of groups, and then to redistribute the benefits of American society by group.

00:14:27.000 Here is Trump cutting against that.

00:14:31.000 The key to national greatness lies in sustaining and instilling our shared national identity.

00:14:37.000 That means focusing on what we have in common, the heritage that we all share.

00:14:42.000 At the center of this heritage is also a robust belief in free expression, free speech, and open debate.

00:14:51.000 Only if we forget who we are and how we got here could we ever allow political censorship and blacklisting to take place in America.

00:15:02.000 It's not even thinkable.

00:15:04.000 Shutting down free and open debate violates our core values and most enduring traditions.

00:15:11.000 Okay, now that is the next frontier of the battle.

00:15:13.000 It is very obvious that the left, the Democratic Party, they are insistent that the First Amendment be curbed.

00:15:19.000 This is the message from the media in the aftermath of the Capitol riots, is that your First Amendment rights have to be stopped.

00:15:24.000 Social media has to be used as a private entity and abused as a private entity in order to stop you from exercising your First Amendment rights.

00:15:31.000 In fact, we may have to rethink the very concept of free speech in the United States, said CNN yesterday.

00:15:36.000 So Trump is not wrong about all of this.

00:15:38.000 The fact that the fomenting of untruths about the election helped to create the climate for the Capitol riots is going to have unforeseen effects that are just grave for the future of American liberty, for sure.

00:15:52.000 And so Trump concludes on a very dissonant note, right?

00:15:54.000 Because it is indeed for conservatives a very pessimistic time.

00:15:58.000 If you're a conservative, it is hard not to be disheartened today.

00:16:01.000 Not because Trump particularly is leaving the White House, although obviously if you see him as a bulwark against the encroachments of the left, that's a problem.

00:16:09.000 But mainly because they look to the future and they see democratic wins on the horizon.

00:16:13.000 They see the renewal of the democratic cultural tsunami against them that happened during the Obama years, except redoubled in strength and power.

00:16:22.000 They see all the institutions of the United States run by members of the hardcore left or pliable Corporate executives who are willing to do their bidding.

00:16:30.000 That is what they see.

00:16:31.000 So when Trump says, when he concludes that he leaves joyful and optimistic, a lot of conservatives are shaking their head today going, I'm not sure why I should be joyful and optimistic.

00:16:40.000 I'm not seeing exactly what the future holds that is good here.

00:16:44.000 Okay, and you know what?

00:16:45.000 Hold that feeling.

00:16:46.000 If you're a conservative, hold that feeling and understand that feeling.

00:16:48.000 It is not unjustified.

00:16:50.000 But that is why the battle, the ideological battle, the philosophical battle, is not over.

00:16:56.000 It really is just beginning.

00:16:57.000 Because the very notion that one man in the White House or even a party in Congress was going to hold back the cultural tide when conservatives have abandoned that, or that if you just vote a guy into power that he's going to protect all of your interests, it's an anti-American idea.

00:17:12.000 And it's spread throughout all sides of the American political debate.

00:17:12.000 Okay?

00:17:16.000 There's this idea that if my man is in the White House and everything is fine and America is protected, No, you don't protect your rights.

00:17:22.000 You don't protect your rights, you, your family, your local community.

00:17:26.000 The thing that protects all of America is the social fabric that we build between each other and an insistence on not only our own rights, but the rights of others.

00:17:36.000 So other institutions are going to have to be built in the social sphere because we are looking down the barrel of social authoritarianism, Not just coming from the Biden administration, but from all, again, of their institutional allies in everywhere from the university, to the media, to Hollywood, to social media.

00:17:53.000 All aspects of the American culture.

00:17:54.000 All those guns have now been trained on conservatives.

00:17:58.000 And we can see it coming.

00:18:00.000 So when Trump says that he's joyful and optimistic, it just sounds dissonant.

00:18:03.000 It sounds dissonant.

00:18:05.000 It sounds like a seventh.

00:18:07.000 An octave is, in music, an octave is non-dissonant.

00:18:12.000 A seventh is that weird feeling that you get when somebody is playing an A and almost an octave up.

00:18:18.000 They are playing a note that is one below the octave.

00:18:21.000 Right. It's it sounds terrible.

00:18:23.000 It's actually called the devil in music.

00:18:25.000 Quick music theory lesson there for you.

00:18:27.000 But it sounds dissonant.

00:18:28.000 It doesn't sound correct.

00:18:29.000 So here is Trump talking about joys.

00:18:31.000 He leaves the Oval Office and all conservatives across the land shaking their heads.

00:18:34.000 I go from this majestic place with a loyal and joyful heart and optimistic spirit and a supreme confidence that for our country and for our children, the best is yet to come.

00:18:52.000 Thank you and farewell.

00:18:54.000 God bless you.

00:18:55.000 God bless the United States of America.

00:18:59.000 Yeah, well, on his way out the door, President Trump issued a bunch of pardons.

00:19:03.000 Some of them are just unjustifiable.

00:19:05.000 I mean, frankly, unjustifiable.

00:19:06.000 He pardoned Steve Bannon in the final hours of his presidency. 0.98

00:19:10.000 Okay, whatever you think of Steve Bannon, and frankly, I think that Steve Bannon is a wet bag of garbage lit aflame years ago. 0.97

00:19:19.000 He's one of the worst people I personally know, Steve Bannon. 0.98

00:19:22.000 The man was being tried for scamming Trump supporters.

00:19:25.000 That's what he was being tried for.

00:19:26.000 He was being tried for setting up a private funding effort to quote-unquote build the wall, and then he allegedly was taking that money and lining his own pockets and that of his cronies.

00:19:36.000 And Trump pardoned him on the way out the door.

00:19:39.000 That's an ugly, ugly thing to do.

00:19:41.000 Okay, well, the big story is not what Trump does as he leaves.

00:19:45.000 The big story is what comes next, because how are we going to fight back against all of this?

00:19:49.000 Well, the first thing, obviously, that we have to fight is the overwhelming power of the media.

00:19:53.000 So Trump, for four long years, was battling with the media.

00:19:56.000 And it was the area of his administration that was the most unlike other administrations.

00:20:00.000 It was also the area a lot of conservatives resonated most to, because it was perfectly obvious that the media are just a propaganda arm for the Democratic Party.

00:20:07.000 And they are back in business, baby, for them.

00:20:10.000 I mean, you can see them.

00:20:12.000 They're tweeting each other as though they are graduating high school.

00:20:15.000 They're tweeting each other as though they're signing each other's yearbooks.

00:20:17.000 Like, oh my god, we made it, guys.

00:20:18.000 It was so hard.

00:20:19.000 Just the obnoxious 17-year-olds.

00:20:21.000 It was so hard.

00:20:22.000 We had to take like pre-calculus together, man.

00:20:25.000 Remember that time when we had to do a test?

00:20:28.000 That's how the media are treating each other, except they're patting themselves on the back for their actual heroism under fire.

00:20:34.000 And then they're like, OK, well, I guess we can go back to sleep.

00:20:36.000 It's exciting stuff.

00:20:37.000 I mean, really exciting stuff.

00:20:39.000 The establishment media massage parlor and journalism outlet is back in session.

00:20:45.000 So Jim Acosta, who is not a reporter, he's an activist who made a name off the fact that he yelled at Trump a lot in the White House press room.

00:20:54.000 He tweeted out, just a couple of guys covering the White House on the last full day of the Trump administration.

00:20:58.000 Think we will finally have time for that drink now, Peter Alexander.

00:21:00.000 Guys, we're graduating high school.

00:21:02.000 Hope you had a good one.

00:21:03.000 I mean, that really is what this is.

00:21:06.000 And then he like circles his picture 10 times.

00:21:08.000 He writes like a little pink heart above his picture.

00:21:10.000 Say, I love you.

00:21:11.000 I'll see you later.

00:21:11.000 And then you never talk to him again.

00:21:13.000 Right?

00:21:14.000 That is the Jim Acosta journalism-ing that we have become accustomed to.

00:21:19.000 And the amount of just sycophantic worship that is now in play for Biden, it's astonishing.

00:21:24.000 Okay, so I sort of get it with Obama.

00:21:26.000 I do.

00:21:27.000 Obama was the first black president of the United States.

00:21:29.000 It was a historic moment.

00:21:30.000 There was this idea that we were all gonna move beyond the greatest conflict in American history, the racial conflict that has riven American history.

00:21:37.000 We were gonna finally come together as one because we had the first black president and the media were just like, you know what?

00:21:41.000 We're not doing journalism for the next eight years.

00:21:42.000 Guys, let's party and go on vacation.

00:21:44.000 We are just going to ignore everything that is happening because this guy is so historic. 0.74

00:21:47.000 Okay, this time, The person that they have decided to worshipfully praise, the person for whom they are Jeffrey Toobening, is a 78-year-old, senile, old, corrupt politician from Delaware.

00:22:00.000 That is the person for whom they are doing this.

00:22:03.000 Right?

00:22:03.000 So, we can dispense with the myth that the media were only doing it for Obama.

00:22:08.000 They will do it for any Democrat.

00:22:09.000 Any Democrat who takes office and is powerful is now considered worthy of the of the same treatment the New England Patriots owner received at the Flower Garden Massage Parlor from the media. 0.99

00:22:24.000 The media, honestly, God, they're such whores. 1.00

00:22:26.000 I mean, it's just, it's unbelievable. 0.99

00:22:28.000 So I'm gonna show you the whorishness of the media because, again, here's the thing.

00:22:31.000 If you are on the left and you're really happy today, totally understandable you're on the left.

00:22:36.000 If you proclaim that you are an objective journalist, that you are just a massage parlor, and in fact, you're performing prostitution out of the back, it's a little bit different. 0.85

00:22:44.000 Hey, I'm conservative.

00:22:45.000 That means that I get to be upset when a Democrat takes office, and I will be happy if a Republican takes office, and I try to be above simple Republican-Democrat and actually go to conservative principle, right?

00:22:54.000 I'm pretty obvious about what I do.

00:22:56.000 I'm pretty obvious about who I am.

00:22:57.000 But seeing Jim Acosta treating this thing like, well, guys, we finally did it.

00:23:00.000 Yeah, I know you finally did it.

00:23:02.000 Glad to see that you finally accomplished what you had sought all along, which was to make sure that a Democrat gets elected in the next election.

00:23:08.000 Right, that is the exact- Okay, so I'm going to show you the media shift.

00:23:11.000 Because the media flipped.

00:23:12.000 Boom.

00:23:13.000 They went from, the country is aflame. 0.98

00:23:15.000 All will die. 0.99

00:23:17.000 Hellfire! 0.94

00:23:19.000 I'm here for your so- Like, putting on a holocaust cloak from Princess Bride. 0.98

00:23:22.000 Getting rolled forward like Andre the Giant.

00:23:24.000 Warning everybody that we're all going to die.

00:23:26.000 Right?

00:23:27.000 And then, they flip on a dime.

00:23:28.000 And suddenly, it's My Little Ponies.

00:23:31.000 Suddenly, it's Rainbow Sparkle.

00:23:33.000 Yes, my daughter watches My Little Ponies.

00:23:36.000 And it's Applejack running through the meadows that the flip in time is astonishing, and it is perfectly clarifying as far as who these people are.

00:23:46.000 And the answer is they are just activists.

00:23:48.000 They are just activists.

00:23:49.000 And here's the thing.

00:23:50.000 If you want to be an activist, be an activist. 0.99

00:23:51.000 If you want to be a journalist and pretend to be objective, don't be a whore. 1.00

00:23:54.000 We're going to get to this in just one second. 0.98

00:23:56.000 First, Let us talk about defending your rights and defending yourself and your family.

00:24:01.000 When the founders wrote the constitution, the first thing they did was make sacred the rights of the individual to share their ideas without limitation by their government.

00:24:07.000 The second thing they did was secure the rights of individuals to protect that speech and their lives with force if necessary.

00:24:12.000 Owning a rifle is a heavy responsibility and building rifles is no different.

00:24:16.000 Bravo Company Manufacturing, BCM for short, builds a professional grade product built to combat standards.

00:24:21.000 This is because BCM believes the same level of protection should be provided to every American, regardless of whether they're a private citizen or a professional.

00:24:27.000 And the people at BCM assume when a rifle leaves their shop, it will be used in a life or death situation by a responsible citizen, law enforcement officer, or a soldier overseas.

00:24:36.000 I personally take gun ownership incredibly seriously.

00:24:38.000 Abide by the law.

00:24:39.000 Know what you are doing.

00:24:41.000 Train with your guns.

00:24:42.000 Know how to use them in case, God forbid, you needed to use it to protect your life.

00:24:44.000 And the people at BCM feel the exact same way.

00:24:47.000 They make incredible, incredible products.

00:24:50.000 To learn more about Bravo Company Manufacturing, head on over to BravoCompanyMFG.com.

00:24:54.000 You can discover more about their products, special offers, upcoming news.

00:24:56.000 That is BravoCompanyMFG.com.

00:24:59.000 Now, by the way, would be a good time, if you have not invested in a rifle, do it before Joe Biden prevents you from being able to do it.

00:25:03.000 If you need more convincing, find out even more about BCM and the awesome people who make their products at YouTube.com slash Bravo Company USA.

00:25:10.000 That is BravoCompanyMFG.com.

00:25:13.000 Okay, so, I mean, the whorishness of the media knows no bounds.

00:25:18.000 It is astonishing.

00:25:19.000 I'm just gonna read you a series of headlines.

00:25:20.000 These headlines have been threaded over Twitter by David Harsanyi, who writes for National Review and New York Post.

00:25:27.000 Okay, here we go, you ready?

00:25:27.000 These are pretty amazing.

00:25:29.000 This one, gotta love this one.

00:25:32.000 All the times Joe Biden's love for ice cream melted our hearts.

00:25:37.000 How about this one from CNN Politics?

00:25:39.000 Joe Biden and Kamala Harris drop a playlist for your inauguration watch party.

00:25:47.000 And then there was that Vogue cover.

00:25:48.000 Remember there was a Vogue cover of Kamala Harris?

00:25:49.000 And there was an entire debate in the media over whether it was too disrespectful of Kamala Harris?

00:25:53.000 Because I remember those sorts of debates over Donald Trump.

00:25:56.000 Were the covers of Donald Trump as like a pincushion?

00:25:59.000 Were those respectful?

00:26:00.000 But we got Kamala Harris in this kind of Weird pose standing in front of a pink curtain, wearing her converse. 1.00

00:26:09.000 And this is considered disrespectful, even though it literally says on the cover of Vogue, by the people, for the people, the United States of fashion.

00:26:16.000 Madam Vice President Kamala Harris and the new America.

00:26:19.000 Journalism-ing up the wazoo.

00:26:21.000 Then we had, of course, Jane Pauley.

00:26:23.000 Remember sitting down with Kamala Harris and looking all weird because she had to mirror the awkward, pathological laughter that Kamala Harris spews from her face every time she says something weird?

00:26:35.000 Okay, the Washington Post headline today.

00:26:37.000 Most people know her as Jill Biden, but to some, she is Dr. B, the compassionate and challenging educator who went the extra mile.

00:26:48.000 Incredible.

00:26:49.000 By the way, Stephen Colbert, last night, cut an entire music video about how Melania Trump is the worst person in the world.

00:26:58.000 She didn't do anything. 0.96

00:26:59.000 She was just there for four years, but she's the worst. 1.00

00:27:01.000 Michelle Obama, the greatest.

00:27:02.000 Hillary Clinton, the greatest.

00:27:04.000 Melania, just horrifying. 0.99

00:27:06.000 Horrifying.

00:27:07.000 Glenn Kessler of the Washington Post, Quote, get ready for reality grounded White House press briefings.

00:27:12.000 Yes, yes.

00:27:13.000 I remember all those reality grounded White House press briefings where Jay Carney and Jen Psaki just lied consistently to you and Robert Gibbs.

00:27:18.000 They just lied over and over and over to you.

00:27:20.000 But you guys didn't care because you were too busy performing.

00:27:24.000 Unspeakable acts upon the administration.

00:27:28.000 Also, this is one of my favorites.

00:27:29.000 Lauren Wolf is an editor at the New York Times.

00:27:32.000 She deleted this tweet.

00:27:33.000 Okay, she deleted this tweet because it was even too awkward for her.

00:27:36.000 She tweeted out a picture of President-elect Biden arriving at Joint Base Andrews.

00:27:42.000 And then, above it, she wrote, Biden landing at Joint Base Andrews now.

00:27:46.000 I have chills.

00:27:48.000 Ooh! 0.96

00:27:49.000 Ooh! 0.96

00:27:50.000 Wow!

00:27:50.000 I'll have what she's having.

00:27:52.000 Exciting stuff.

00:27:53.000 The Washington Post.

00:27:55.000 In fashion.

00:27:55.000 Joe Biden and Kamala Harris display their common ground.

00:27:59.000 I have a journalist named Shimon Prokopek.

00:27:59.000 Amazing.

00:28:03.000 Let the healing begin.

00:28:05.000 We have needed this!

00:28:06.000 Needed!

00:28:07.000 A senile old man running the government and encroaching upon our fundamental rights.

00:28:11.000 We needed it!

00:28:14.000 Just solid stuff.

00:28:16.000 James Homan, another journalist, he's the healer-in-chief.

00:28:20.000 The healer-in-chief, that's his job, don't you understand?

00:28:22.000 He's like a shamanistic healer who can heal him, and he lays on hands, and America is healed.

00:28:27.000 The very moment that Joe Biden takes office, all of our wounds are bound, all of the negativity and toxicity of our politics is ended.

00:28:36.000 Also, we're gonna need some of your First Amendment.

00:28:38.000 Just a little bit of it.

00:28:39.000 Just the part where you say you don't agree, we're gonna need that part.

00:28:43.000 Over at Politico, Biden is about to give the most important inaugural speech since Lincoln.

00:28:48.000 Is he, though?

00:28:49.000 Okay, well, I hope that he can stumble, I hope he can stumble his way through it without Trump and Obama shivering for sure.

00:28:49.000 Since Lincoln?

00:28:55.000 That'll be, that'll be exciting.

00:28:59.000 The flip in time is pretty amazing.

00:29:01.000 David Chalian over at CNN, I think this may be the best clip.

00:29:04.000 So this is CNN last night.

00:29:06.000 And the guy can't control himself.

00:29:07.000 He just cannot control himself.

00:29:09.000 So they show this on screen, some video from the National Mall, okay?

00:29:15.000 And it shows the, from the Washington Mall.

00:29:17.000 And it shows the, they've planted several hundred thousand flags out there to signify the deaths from COVID because obviously they can't have lots of people on the mall right now for both safety reasons and also because we are in the middle of a pandemic still.

00:29:31.000 And they're shining these bright lights up into the sky.

00:29:34.000 And it's very dramatic, right?

00:29:36.000 It's very dramatic footage.

00:29:38.000 And David Chalian cannot help himself.

00:29:39.000 He can't help himself.

00:29:41.000 He goes to work.

00:29:42.000 And here he is working both himself and the Biden administration.

00:29:48.000 Those lights that are that are just shooting out from the Lincoln Memorial along the reflecting pool.

00:29:54.000 I look, it's like almost extensions of Joe Biden's arms embracing America.

00:30:01.000 It was a moment where the new president came to town and sort of convened the country in this moment of remembrance.

00:30:09.000 outstretching his arms and contrast that with that video you just saw of a disgraced president on his way out at his lowest point in his presidency.

00:30:09.000 Wow.

00:30:20.000 Wow.

00:30:21.000 I mean, it's like he's like he's giving us a big hug and then awkwardly stroking our hair and sniffing us.

00:30:27.000 It's like lights shooting out, and it wasn't the only thing shooting out in this particular clip.

00:30:32.000 Amazing.

00:30:33.000 Amazing stuff, David Chandler.

00:30:34.000 Like, arms!

00:30:35.000 Embrace this!

00:30:36.000 I don't want the government embracing me, okay?

00:30:38.000 The government should stay far away from me.

00:30:40.000 So, last night I had some dinner with some folks, and a friend was talking about how he really likes the pomp and circumstance of inaugurations, no matter who's being inaugurated.

00:30:49.000 And I said, I agree that the exiting president should go to the inauguration.

00:30:54.000 OK, Trump should go to Biden's inauguration.

00:30:56.000 Obama did it for Trump.

00:30:58.000 Didn't matter that they hated each other.

00:30:59.000 That is a thing that should happen because it does signify the peaceful transfer of power.

00:31:02.000 It is wrong for Trump not to do that.

00:31:04.000 However, I generally hate pomp and circumstance with regard to the presidency.

00:31:07.000 Despise it. 0.99

00:31:08.000 I despise it because it is monarchic and it is ridiculous. 0.99

00:31:10.000 I hate it with regard to the State of the Union. 0.98

00:31:12.000 I've been perfectly consistent on this for years and years and years. 0.74

00:31:15.000 I think that the president is basically a plumber.

00:31:16.000 I think they should swear him in in the back of a car and then he should go do some plumbing.

00:31:21.000 I don't think he's an important person.

00:31:22.000 I don't think that the presidency of the United States should be treated as though he is an emperor, a god emperor on earth, embracing us with his arms. 0.99

00:31:30.000 That sort of idolatrous crap is bad for the country. 0.99

00:31:33.000 But the media love it. 1.00

00:31:34.000 They are into it.

00:31:35.000 And again, they can't help themselves today.

00:31:37.000 Honestly, I think what's most galling to conservatives is not even Biden taking office.

00:31:42.000 It's the fact that we are now guaranteed four years of gaslighting where the objective journalists decide that journalism consists mostly Of performing favors of an unspeakable type on the Biden administration and then declaring themselves objective in all of their facets.

00:31:59.000 And after four years of reporting every sniff of a rumor, unsourced or sourced, inside the Trump administration, we'll go back to the good old days of talking about how wonderful Barack Obama's fashion sense is and how he could have played in the NBA or something.

00:32:12.000 It'll be really, really exciting stuff.

00:32:14.000 We're going to get to more of the media's worship of Biden.

00:32:16.000 Then we'll get to what exactly Biden is planning, because it's not good for the country, guys.

00:32:21.000 It ain't good!

00:32:22.000 Again, I'm praying for the incoming administration just as I prayed for the Trump administration.

00:32:26.000 We literally do that every Sabbath in my synagogue.

00:32:28.000 That doesn't mean I expect that he's going to do good things.

00:32:30.000 In fact, I expect he's going to do things that are deeply damaging to core American liberties.

00:32:34.000 We'll get to more of this in just one second.

00:32:36.000 First, Let us talk about the timepiece that you wear.

00:32:38.000 So, perhaps you're counting the hours of this administration.

00:32:42.000 Perhaps you need a watch to help you count those hours as they tick away.

00:32:46.000 Well, if you need a watch, it's going to work and it's also going to look good.

00:32:49.000 What you really need is a Vincero.

00:34:01.000 All righty.

00:34:05.000 And again, they're moving along two lines.

00:34:07.000 One is Joe Biden is the greatest thing that has ever happened in the history of the United States, which is insane.

00:34:11.000 And second is it's time for revenge.

00:34:14.000 We all know where this is going.

00:34:16.000 And then we'll get to actually what Biden is planning.

00:34:18.000 Before we get to any of that, last Thursday was a big day for The Daily Wire because we are gonna fight in the culture, okay?

00:34:23.000 And the way we're gonna fight in the culture is we're gonna get competitive in the culture.

00:34:26.000 We're not just gonna tear down the culture made by the left.

00:34:28.000 We are going to make our own culture.

00:34:30.000 We have made our first feature film, Run, Hide, Fight.

00:34:33.000 It is an excellent movie.

00:34:34.000 It's got like 98% on Rotten Tomatoes from viewers and like 22% from critics, which is exactly what you would predict.

00:34:40.000 We make stuff you love and the critics hate.

00:34:42.000 If you missed it, head on over to Daily Wire, where you can stream Run Hyde Fight On Demand from our website, mobile or streaming apps on Apple TV and Roku.

00:34:49.000 If you're not a member yet, use promo code RHF to get 25% off.

00:34:52.000 That is RHF for 25% off.

00:34:56.000 Please be aware, the film isn't political.

00:34:58.000 It is intense.

00:34:59.000 It is for mature audiences only, so it's not for the kiddos.

00:35:01.000 It stars Isabel May, Thomas Jane, and Roda Mitchell.

00:35:03.000 Run, Hide, Fight follows Zoe Hull, who's a 17-year-old girl who's just trying to get through the last few weeks of high school, and then she finds herself in the middle of a school shooting while also trying to navigate the recent death of her mother.

00:35:15.000 It's a great movie.

00:35:17.000 And by the way, if you saw the movie and you liked it, leave a review over Rotten Tomatoes, leave a review anywhere else because we need to fight back in the culture.

00:35:23.000 We're excited to bring you great stories that are going to not spit on your values.

00:35:28.000 Right now, you get 25% off at dailywire.com to become a member.

00:35:37.000 In order to do so, dailywire.com.

00:35:39.000 You're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation. 0.99

00:35:42.000 Okay, so now we're going to get the godlike worship of Joe Biden again, a senile dotard who can barely hold it together.

00:35:53.000 They're going to treat him the exact same way they treated Obama, which explains that it really was never about Obama. 0.93

00:35:58.000 It was just about the media, who are all Democratic voters, almost universally Democratic voters, who not only hate Trump, but hate Republicans more generally.

00:36:06.000 The Washington Post editorial board, Democracy Dies in Darkness, gang, literally their words in their, the first words in their editorial today is, well, we made it.

00:36:14.000 What do you mean you made it?

00:36:16.000 Was there any threat to shut down the Washington Post?

00:36:18.000 You made it.

00:36:19.000 Oh my God.

00:36:20.000 Just by the skin of our teeth, we made it.

00:36:22.000 Some 1,461 days after Donald Trump took office as president, he must leave it, having been defeated for re-election last November 3rd by Joseph R. Biden, who will be sworn in as the 46th president at noon on Wednesday.

00:36:36.000 This is a momentous occasion.

00:36:38.000 Oh my God.

00:36:39.000 Okay, so that is the Washington Post.

00:36:41.000 Journalism-ing all over the place.

00:36:43.000 Oh, also, it was very important.

00:36:46.000 We now have a report from the New York Times.

00:36:47.000 This is breaking news.

00:36:48.000 Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep.

00:36:49.000 Here's the breaking news.

00:36:50.000 The breaking news is that Joe and Jill Biden have morning negotiations over who rides the Peloton bike first. 0.89

00:36:57.000 Holy ****!

00:36:59.000 Unreal! 0.53

00:37:01.000 Oh! 0.60

00:37:01.000 They've broken the story! 0.60

00:37:04.000 Amazing!

00:37:05.000 How is that possible?

00:37:07.000 Wow.

00:37:07.000 And again, he and Joe Biden, they have to negotiate.

00:37:08.000 See, this just shows he's a real diplomat, right?

00:37:10.000 Biden has a Peloton bike.

00:37:11.000 That raises issues at the White House.

00:37:14.000 It doesn't exactly comport with his regular Joe from Scranton persona, but beyond the politics of it, the bike could present cybersecurity risks.

00:37:21.000 Wow, wow.

00:37:23.000 And again, he and Joe Biden, they have to negotiate.

00:37:26.000 See, this just shows he's a real diplomat, right?

00:37:27.000 He has to negotiate with his wife over the Peloton.

00:37:30.000 By the way, if Trump had ever bought Melania a Peloton, it would be what a sexist he is for buying his wife a Peloton, right?

00:37:34.000 That's the way that works.

00:37:35.000 Also, if that was not enough for you, the style section of the Washington Post has a fascinating article on Doug Emhoff, Kamala Harris' husband.

00:37:43.000 Wow, can't wait to hear about Doug Emhoff, who I hadn't heard of until five seconds ago.

00:37:46.000 A truly important figure in American politics who's never been elected to anything and happens to be married to Kamala Harris.

00:37:51.000 I remember when we had all of those absolutely sycophantic pieces about Mike Pence's wife.

00:37:57.000 Remember that?

00:37:57.000 Yeah, nope, you don't?

00:37:58.000 Oh yeah, that's right, because they didn't exist.

00:38:01.000 So all of this is very, very exciting stuff.

00:38:04.000 Eddie Glaude from MSNBC puts the final cap on this.

00:38:07.000 He compares Joe Biden to God.

00:38:09.000 I mean, he literally paraphrases the Psalms from the Bible to describe Joseph R. Biden, a corrupt old politician who has been in politics since he was 29 years old at the federal level.

00:38:20.000 Here is Eddie Glaude literally comparing Joe Biden of all human beings to God.

00:38:28.000 Just listening to the words and the song and seeing the lights, President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President Harris pulled the grief and regret out of the privacy of our hearts, if just for a moment, so that we all could share it.

00:38:43.000 Oh, what a first step.

00:38:44.000 What a beautiful step.

00:38:45.000 So I'm gonna, you know, I'm reminded of the psalmist, you know?

00:38:49.000 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

00:38:54.000 My God.

00:38:56.000 Okay, so, four years of this, guys.

00:38:59.000 Four years.

00:39:00.000 This is why you should come subscribe to Daily Wire, because at least we are going to cover that.

00:39:03.000 Like, there will be things happening, and we will cover them at Daily Wire.

00:39:07.000 But you can guarantee that in the mainstream establishment media, basically it's just gonna be why Republicans keep pouncing.

00:39:12.000 Why do they keep pouncing?

00:39:13.000 Pounce, pounce, pounce. 0.98

00:39:14.000 Every time Biden does something truly crappy, it'll be, wow, look at those Republicans pouncing and spoiling all the unity!

00:39:20.000 There was unity, guys! 0.98

00:39:21.000 And the unity meant shut the hell up.

00:39:24.000 He's speaking of which, I mean, they're pretty clear about it.

00:39:26.000 So Eddie Glaude, right?

00:39:27.000 He wants to bind up the nation's wounds, right?

00:39:28.000 That same guy who was a second ago talking about binding the nation's wounds and healing the rift.

00:39:34.000 And then he's like, you know what?

00:39:35.000 There are 400,000 dead people because of the Trump supporters.

00:39:38.000 A thing he actually said on MSNBC, same day, yesterday.

00:39:42.000 Yes, I trust our members of the media to truly take seriously the concerns of all Americans.

00:39:46.000 They just want to bind up our wounds by calling you a person responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths.

00:39:51.000 Here's Eddie Glaude.

00:39:53.000 It's easy for us to place all of the blame on Donald Trump.

00:39:59.000 He makes it easy for us.

00:40:01.000 You know, he does.

00:40:04.000 But there were 75, 74 plus million people who voted for him.

00:40:10.000 Selfishness, greed, you know, they run rampant across the land.

00:40:18.000 Oh, that sounds like some real wound binding right there.

00:40:21.000 Right there?

00:40:21.000 Yeah, that's probably what the psalmist was talking about.

00:40:24.000 It was about, like, binding up the nation's wounds by calling all the people who disagree with you selfish and greedy and responsible.

00:40:30.000 In order to understand what he's saying, you have to see the picture.

00:40:33.000 Which is a picture of all of these flags on the mall that are supposed to represent the 400,000 COVID deaths.

00:40:38.000 So you're responsible for that if you voted for Trump.

00:40:40.000 Exciting, exciting stuff.

00:40:41.000 Also, it'll be wonderful to hear the history of this period written by political grifters like Steve Schmidt, the guy who used to be part of the McCain campaign and then decided that he'd be part of the Lincoln Project.

00:40:52.000 He's gonna write the history, he says, on MSNBC.

00:40:57.000 The winners write history, and they're the losers.

00:41:00.000 The shame of the people around Trump who have participated in the shaping of the great American catastrophe over the last four years will be held to account.

00:41:12.000 It'll be held to account by the judgment of history, by the judgment of decent Americans.

00:41:20.000 It'll be held to account by corporate America as they look for jobs.

00:41:24.000 By corporate Americas, they seek donations.

00:41:27.000 They will not write their history.

00:41:29.000 We will write their history.

00:41:31.000 And their shame will last forever.

00:41:35.000 Their shame will last forever, says Steve Schmidt.

00:41:37.000 By the way, just a quick note, one of the co-founders of the Lincoln Project just dropped out because it turned out that he was DMing young men for sexual purposes.

00:41:45.000 So, yeah, their shame, but our shame is going to last forever.

00:41:48.000 Everybody, everybody who supported any element of the Trump agenda, the shame will last forever.

00:41:52.000 Okay, so this brings us to what they will be covering for.

00:41:55.000 Isn't this exciting?

00:41:56.000 So what exactly will they be covering for?

00:41:58.000 Your entire establishment media who have decided that the age of light has reached us.

00:42:02.000 What will they be covering for?

00:42:03.000 A bunch of truly unbelievably bad policy.

00:42:05.000 That is what they will be covering for.

00:42:06.000 And it begins today.

00:42:08.000 Are you excited?

00:42:09.000 Here we go.

00:42:10.000 Cause you know what?

00:42:11.000 They got rid of the bad orange man who's really bad and orange. 1.00

00:42:13.000 And also even if he is really bad and authoritarian in his sort of intent.

00:42:17.000 We got rid of all of the conservative policy, so now we can finally, untrammeled, move forward toward a more racially polarized and more woke society that dispenses with these little things like your rights, right?

00:42:28.000 We can move toward that at full speed ahead.

00:42:30.000 It is so exciting.

00:42:32.000 It is so exciting.

00:42:34.000 According to Felix Salmon over at Axios, led by incoming Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, the economic policy team has signaled it will be the first administration ever to construct economic policy around issues like race, gender equality, and climate change rather than traditional indicators like gross domestic product or deficit ratios.

00:42:52.000 Amazing!

00:42:52.000 I'm so excited about this, guys.

00:42:54.000 The Treasury Department, the economy of the United States will not be constructed around what provides the most prosperity to the most people.

00:43:00.000 Instead, it will be designed around notions that America is systemically racist and unjust, and we can just redistribute and regulate the economy so as to achieve equal outcome without any worry about what the inputs to the economy are.

00:43:13.000 Isn't that sick?

00:43:13.000 Super exciting.

00:43:14.000 We can divide each other by race and then by sex and like sexual orientation and everything and then it can reorient the entire economic policy of the United States in order to meet pre-examined quotas with regard to each one of those groups.

00:43:26.000 All we have to do is violate some of your economic and free association and liberty rights.

00:43:29.000 That's all we have to do.

00:43:31.000 That's all we have to do.

00:43:32.000 And the media's there for it, man.

00:43:33.000 They are so excited about all of this super exciting stuff.

00:43:37.000 That is according to Axios today.

00:43:39.000 Also, Biden has now announced the 17 executive actions he's gonna sign this afternoon in the Oval Office.

00:43:44.000 Yay! 0.99

00:43:45.000 So, what are some of these magical, magical things that he is going to be doing?

00:43:49.000 So, number one, he's gonna, this is literally number one.

00:43:52.000 He's gonna stop the border wall construction.

00:43:55.000 Okay, first of all, that was like your top priority.

00:43:57.000 Like, that's purely symbolic, of course, right?

00:43:59.000 Because the reality is having a border wall, kind of a good thing.

00:44:03.000 But he's like, you stop that right now.

00:44:04.000 We have to spend trillions of dollars on redistributive purposes.

00:44:08.000 We can't be spending some money on like a wall to stop people from coming across the border illegally.

00:44:12.000 Stop that right now.

00:44:13.000 Now, if that had not been Trump's top priority, would he be doing that?

00:44:15.000 Of course not.

00:44:16.000 He's going to, quote, end the Muslim travel ban.

00:44:18.000 There is no Muslim travel ban.

00:44:19.000 It does not exist.

00:44:20.000 There's a travel ban against a variety of countries, which includes some Muslim countries and some non-Muslim countries.

00:44:26.000 OK, he's going to rejoin the Paris climate agreement.

00:44:29.000 Woo-hoo-hoo! 1.00

00:44:31.000 Wow, so that Paris Climate Agreement, which achieves nothing.

00:44:33.000 Zero things does it achieve.

00:44:35.000 It is a completely symbolic act that is designed in order to cudgel political opponents into silence.

00:44:40.000 That is what the Paris Climate Accord does.

00:44:42.000 The vast majority of countries that have signed on to the Paris Climate Accords are not even attempting to meet their quotas.

00:44:47.000 The United States has no plan in order to achieve what Joe Biden wants it to achieve.

00:44:51.000 And even if the United States were to meet its quotas under the Paris Climate Accords, it would not lower the global temperature over the course of the next century more than a minute degree.

00:44:59.000 These are all well-established realities.

00:45:01.000 But we're joining the Paris Climate Accords.

00:45:03.000 Good stuff, guys.

00:45:04.000 Also, we're going to end the Keystone XL pipeline and revoke oil and gas development at National Wildlife Monuments.

00:45:10.000 So that's good news.

00:45:10.000 We're going to make ourselves more dependent on foreign oil again.

00:45:13.000 So that's excellent.

00:45:14.000 Also, we're going to count non-citizens in the U.S. 0.84

00:45:16.000 Census.

00:45:17.000 Okay, so one of the things that Trump had pushed was we're not going to count illegal immigrants in the U.S.

00:45:21.000 Census because we use the U.S.

00:45:22.000 Census for apportionment purposes, and we should not apportion congressional seats based on how many people who literally should not be in the country are in particular areas.

00:45:31.000 And Biden's like, no, you know what?

00:45:32.000 I know where all those people live, and they tend to live in blue areas, and we need more congressional seats appointed, apportioned for those particular areas.

00:45:39.000 We're rejoining the WHO.

00:45:41.000 That's exciting. 0.97

00:45:41.000 So we left the WHO because the WHO is a crap Sandwich of an organization that basically is a propaganda outlet for the Chinese. 0.97

00:45:49.000 But we're rejoining it because Trump left it. 0.95

00:45:52.000 That's literally the only reason to rejoin it.

00:45:54.000 Also, he's starting the 100 Days Masking Challenge.

00:45:57.000 Ooh! 0.96

00:45:58.000 Do we get like those physical fitness badges?

00:45:59.000 Like I remember when I was in elementary school.

00:46:02.000 And if you basically didn't keel over in fourth grade, then they gave you like a presidential physical fitness award.

00:46:07.000 It was super exciting.

00:46:08.000 And it went directly in the garbage because it meant nothing.

00:46:11.000 So we're going to have the 100 Day Masking Challenge because you know what?

00:46:15.000 People aren't masking except for, you know, the 80 plus percentage of people who say they're masking in the United States.

00:46:20.000 So, yep, that'll be good.

00:46:22.000 He's going to push pause on student loan payments until September 30th.

00:46:26.000 He's going to defend the Dreamers program for undocumented young Americans.

00:46:29.000 He's going to continue to do the unconstitutional thing of just declining to prosecute people as he ought under the law.

00:46:35.000 He's going to change Trump's arrest priorities for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

00:46:40.000 He's going to restructure the federal government coordination to the COVID-19 pandemic, but he doesn't explain how.

00:46:45.000 And here we go.

00:46:46.000 This is the best part.

00:46:47.000 You ready?

00:46:48.000 Actions to advance racial equity through the federal government.

00:46:52.000 So, welcome back to Critical Race Theory, gang.

00:46:54.000 Because remember, Trump said, no critical race theory in the federal government.

00:46:56.000 We're not going to do any of those things.

00:46:58.000 And Biden's like, nope, we're putting all that back in.

00:47:00.000 So you get to learn about how whiteness dominates America's systems of power and how you are responsible. 0.99

00:47:05.000 You are a white person, and it doesn't matter if you're a black person who agreed in any element with Trump. 0.95

00:47:10.000 This means that you are also white. 0.97

00:47:11.000 You're a multiracial white person.

00:47:14.000 Very exciting stuff.

00:47:15.000 He's gonna revoke Trump's quote-unquote harmful 1776 commission.

00:47:19.000 So instead, he's just gonna reflect the 1619 bullcrap promoted by the New York Times.

00:47:23.000 America's evil. 0.99

00:47:24.000 America's terrible.

00:47:25.000 All this is in the name of healing, guys.

00:47:26.000 Do you feel the healing?

00:47:27.000 Can you feel the warmth?

00:47:29.000 Can you feel it?

00:47:30.000 So much healing happening right now.

00:47:33.000 He's going to strengthen quote workplace discrimination protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity, which effectively means that the federal government is now going to be telling you that if you are a waiter at a if you are a waitress at a Hooters and you decide that you're a man tomorrow, you should remain a waitress at the Hooters.

00:47:49.000 So that's that's exciting stuff.

00:47:51.000 Also.

00:47:52.000 And we are going to be freezing all last minute Trump administration and regulatory actions, and they're going to formulate executive branch ethics doctrines, because that's always worked.

00:48:00.000 Usually when members of the government, including the Trump administration, formulate ethics doctrines, they then follow through with them by, you know, completely ignoring them.

00:48:07.000 So all of this is exciting stuff.

00:48:08.000 Among the people who Biden will be appointing, also some of the best and the brightest.

00:48:14.000 So, for example, Joe Biden has now selected as assistant health secretary Rachel Levine.

00:48:20.000 The only important thing about this human being is that this person is transgender. 1.00

00:48:23.000 According to the Washington Post headline, this is true.

00:48:25.000 Here is the Washington Post headline.

00:48:26.000 Now, you might think to yourself, as assistant health secretary, wouldn't you want, like, the accomplishment in the title?

00:48:31.000 Like, what did this person do to become assistant health secretary?

00:48:33.000 Here's the title.

00:48:34.000 Biden selects transgender doctor Rachel Levine as assistant health secretary.

00:48:38.000 Well, I mean, I know that when I go to the doctor, the first thing I need is a person who believes they're a member of the wrong sex.

00:48:44.000 That's the first thing I look for.

00:48:46.000 Rachel Levine, by the way, is a human being who shipped COVID-positive patients back into nursing homes as the Secretary of Health and Human Services in Pennsylvania, and then took this person's mother out of the nursing homes in order so that that person would not be infected and die.

00:49:01.000 So that might be like the headline, right?

00:49:03.000 And if the media were doing their job, that would be like the top of the story, right?

00:49:05.000 You know that if Trump had appointed this person, that would be the top of the story.

00:49:08.000 But because this person checks the intersectional box, well, magic.

00:49:12.000 So here's the case on Rachel Levine.

00:49:13.000 Cons.

00:49:14.000 Killed a bunch of people in nursing homes by shipping COVID-positive patients back into the nursing homes. 0.93

00:49:19.000 Pros. 0.95

00:49:19.000 Is a man who believes he is a woman. 0.95

00:49:22.000 Strong case being made here.

00:49:24.000 Huge.

00:49:25.000 Huge stuff.

00:49:26.000 So listen, I understand all the people who are ready for the circus to end.

00:49:30.000 I understand all the people who are like, you know what, this last four years was crazy and wild and feels like a fever dream.

00:49:35.000 I get it.

00:49:35.000 Just understand that all of your peace and healing and unity, in reality, it comes along with a bunch of really, really bad policy that is actually going to affect how you live in the United States on a daily basis, not just what irritating things people tweet about on Twitter.

00:49:47.000 Alrighty, we'll be back here later today with one additional hour of content.

00:49:55.000 Although, I'll be honest with you, I don't even know how Michael knows that that is a brand new baby boy.

00:49:59.000 That child has not decided his gender and will not do so for the next 18 years.

00:50:03.000 Michael will be talking about some of the good things coming from Mitt Romney and the confirmation hearings yesterday.

00:50:07.000 Be sure to catch up with him with today's episode, which is available right this very instant.
