00:00:00.000 You are listening to The Blueprint, Canada's Conservative Podcast.
00:00:09.040 Is the Prime Minister actually saying that taxpayers should be on the hook when he breaks the law?
00:00:20.420 What is it going to take for the Prime Minister to have any respect for any laws in this country that may curb his out-of-control behaviour?
00:00:30.000 All these deficits leading to nothing but burying Canadians in taxes.
00:00:38.000 Mesdames and Messieurs, the Honourable Andrew Scheer, dear members of the Conservative Party of Canada,
00:00:45.000 It is an honour to be with you today at the National Convention of the Conservative Party of Canada.
00:00:51.000 If I agree to come here today, it's not only because I share the values of the party,
00:00:57.000 but also because I have a lot of respect for its leader.
00:01:00.000 When I met Andrew Scheer for the first time in April, I was immediately impressed by his
00:01:15.000 heart, his great listen and his deep desire to respond to the needs of Canadian citizens.
00:01:22.000 When I was talking to him, I realized how much the values of the Conservative Party of Canada
00:01:28.000 are the same that I have always defended as an entrepreneur.
00:01:32.000 These are the values that I still build my business model today,
00:01:37.000 such as the creation of wealth, the rigorous management of finances and the efficiency of operations.
00:01:44.000 On the political plan, I believe fundamentally in a state that is minimal in the market,
00:01:51.000 that encourages the creation of businesses by equitable fiscal, and especially, that supports families.
00:01:59.000 The government should manage public money in a responsible way, through a fair tax system while also supporting families.
00:02:16.000 You know, I grew up on a farm where I learned to rentabilize every square foot of a land for
00:02:22.000 that they report.
00:02:23.000 I learned to do a lot with little resources.
00:02:26.000 I learned to be creative and to use the tools I used to optimize family income.
00:02:32.000 For example, one of my first job was to use the farm tractor to offer a service to the neighbors.
00:02:39.000 These principles have remained both in my personal and professional life.
00:02:44.000 I really believe that to succeed, you have to know how to control your expenses
00:02:48.000 and learn how to optimize your income.
00:02:51.000 It's a completely transparent concept in politics.
00:02:56.000 And yet, it seems hard to understand for Trudeau's government.
00:03:02.000 Let's talk about the way the current government manages the economy and public finances.
00:03:08.000 While the wage rate has never been as low as 40 years ago,
00:03:13.000 Justin Trudeau's government decides to spend as if we were in a recession,
00:03:19.000 or worse, in a war period.
00:03:22.000 We spend without counting.
00:03:25.000 We inject money into the economy by a keynesian policy,
00:03:29.000 when we cross a super economic cycle.
00:03:33.000 We are putting our country into so much debt and leaving to future generations a substantial economic burden.
00:03:43.000 They are destroying the balanced budget inherited from the previous conservative government.
00:03:50.000 It's impossible, today, to achieve deficits in a full employment period.
00:03:59.000 The current government acts as an irresponsible government,
00:04:04.000 a taxpayer government, a socialist government.
00:04:09.000 A government that has not taken his promise to reduce the income of the PME.
00:04:23.000 A government that has taken the age of retirement to 65 years,
00:04:27.000 while the other countries of the OCDE have increased it,
00:04:30.000 while in the meantime we need to maintain our growth.
00:04:34.000 With this fiscal reform, the Liberal government is going to put the brakes on the wheels of the entrepreneurs
00:04:41.000 and to stop the creation of businesses.
00:04:46.000 We have reduced our PME, our employers,
00:04:49.000 rather than to put real measures in practice to make our economy prosper.
00:04:55.000 But the thing is, we will not counter tax invasion,
00:04:59.000 while suffocating our entrepreneurs with more taxes.
00:05:02.000 Thank you very much.
00:05:11.000 At the time of today, the economy is in full regime.
00:05:14.000 We need to take the wave and not to nager at the current rate.
00:05:17.000 We need to prepare for an eventuality of a lower cycle,
00:05:20.000 because the question is not to know if there will be one,
00:05:24.000 but when it will arrive.
00:05:26.000 The last one we met was during the recession of 2008.
00:05:30.000 What are we going to do when this cycle is going to arrive,
00:05:33.000 while we have already injected too much money into the economy?
00:05:36.000 The current government has endowed the country without any reason valid.
00:05:43.000 Even though the government has found a way to shoot itself in the foot on lucrative initiatives like the Trans Mountain Project.
00:05:58.000 This expansion project has been mismanaged in a number of ways.
00:06:06.000 No leadership from the Prime Minister.
00:06:09.000 Interference in provincial jurisdiction with our friends in British Columbia and Alberta.
00:06:14.000 Massive investment of public funds.
00:06:17.000 Your money.
00:06:19.000 While it was not even necessary.
00:06:21.000 The Canada must be competitive on the fiscal plan to promote the creation of companies and investments.
00:06:36.000 It takes a policy of regulation to help companies create jobs and increase their productivity.
00:06:43.000 The economy must be taken seriously by the State administrators,
00:06:48.000 because it is the economy of a country that has a direct impact on the lives of citizens.
00:06:53.000 The Canadian economy increased by 3,05 % in 2017.
00:06:58.000 And yet, it does not surprise the Canadian population,
00:07:03.000 who is worried about the rise of the federal public deficit.
00:07:12.000 If we continue on this move, we are facing a wall.
00:07:17.000 We must also strengthen our energy policies.
00:07:20.000 We have to rely on our resources, our strengths, our natural advantages.
00:07:45.000 We have all the resources necessary to be a strong country, a rich country,
00:07:50.000 who will make a glorious future future generations.
00:07:54.000 But it takes a government with a vision and, above all, courage.
00:08:00.000 And this government will be the one of Andrew Scheer and the Canada Conservative Party.
00:08:21.000 Canada is an energy-self-sufficient country.
00:08:23.000 It is crucial to put ourselves back in the international game regarding energy resources.
00:08:38.000 Norway, a country that I visited recently, has a sovereign fund of $1,000 billion
00:08:43.000 thanks to the development of oil and natural gas development,
00:08:46.000 even though it is one of the richest countries in the world.
00:08:50.000 It is committed to have a carbon-node in 2030.
00:08:53.000 We are supposed to use oil to kill oil.
00:08:57.000 Here is an example to follow.
00:09:06.000 We must be able to exploit our natural resources by optimizing our forces.
00:09:09.000 And the same principle is applicable to the agriculture sector.
00:09:13.000 In other words, we must be able to do the same culture with the same ways of doing it.
00:09:17.000 We must look at where the market goes, encourage the production of new cultures and innovate.
00:09:23.000 That's why we create wealth.
00:09:26.000 Our soils are rich, and we have a surplus of hydroelectricity.
00:09:37.000 We must be able to reduce the electric cost of farmers' producers,
00:09:41.000 to increase our exportations and to reduce our importations.
00:09:44.000 As a Canadian citizen, I chose the Conservative Party of Andrew Scheer,
00:09:51.000 and Andrew Scheer is the leader to offer what's best for Canadian businesses and citizens,
00:09:56.000 to intervene as little as possible in the economy,
00:09:59.000 and to establish necessary measures to create wealth.
00:10:02.000 Another important thing that I am interested in the Conservative Party of Canada
00:10:14.000 is its respect for the province's skills.
00:10:17.000 One party who thinks first and foremost to aid the contribuable
00:10:25.000 rather than to increase the governmental apparatus.
00:10:28.000 The federal government and provincial government must cohabit in a balanced way
00:10:33.000 within the Canadian Federation.
00:10:41.000 The intergovernmental relations are a good condition for the good functioning of Canadian federalism.
00:10:48.000 I am particularly proud that the Party propose a unique income statement
00:10:52.000 administered by Quebec.
00:10:54.000 Andrew Scheer is a leader who listens, who unite as his troops, and inspires us.
00:11:07.000 He has seen people from all the horizons who want a responsible government,
00:11:14.000 like an old bloquist, and to revive the conservative values of the Saguenay after 15 years of absence.
00:11:21.000 The Party has the wind in the voiles, and it is thanks to Andrew Scheer's leadership and the force of his team
00:11:34.000 that we will win the meeting of 2019 with a majoritarian conservative government.
00:11:40.000 The Conservative Party of Canada works for the families, for the builders of this nation, and to create wealth.
00:11:54.000 With the Conservative Party of Andrew Scheer, we will make Canada one of the most prosperous, successful, and inclusive countries in the world.
00:12:01.000 After the passage of the government of Justin Trudeau, we will need to reassure the entrepreneurs and the promoters of great projects
00:12:16.000 in putting in place conditions of winning conditions, and not the frees to their ambitions.
00:12:21.000 And it is Andrew Scheer and his team who will strengthen the trust of investors in our economy.
00:12:31.000 Thank you all for being here, and I wish you all a great 2018 Conventional Party.
