00:00:00.120 Justin Trudeau goes surfing on Truth and Reconciliation Day, the Conservatives in Alberta are acting like liberals,
00:00:05.480 and the CBC gets smacked down in an epic interview with lawyer Mary Hennon.
00:00:09.940 It's Fake News Friday, I'm Candice Malcolm, and this is The Candice Malcolm Show.
00:00:17.840 Hi everyone, thank you so much for tuning in to the program.
00:00:20.440 It's Friday, which means that we do Fake News Friday.
00:00:22.700 This is my favorite show of the week because we get an opportunity to focus in on media malfeasance in this country,
00:00:30.120 the various ways that the media misrepresent the truth, that they lie to you, that they create fake narratives,
00:00:34.980 and they basically either just get stories wrong because they're incompetent or because they are malicious.
00:00:39.980 So the first thing I want to talk about is how Justin Trudeau spent the day yesterday in Tofino on a personal vacation with his family.
00:00:48.140 Justin Trudeau just spent the entire election reminding us that he is the politician that cares the most,
00:00:53.440 that he is the one that is best suited to address this issue of reconciliation with Canada's First Nations people,
00:01:00.320 that he is the one that is making the most progress, and that he's the one to continue to guide us on this front.
00:01:07.000 We heard this so much after the unmarked graves that were allegedly discovered on various First Nations reserves
00:01:12.440 and near residential schools.
00:01:13.740 Trudeau cares the most, he is, you know, he flew out to Quesas in Saskatchewan as soon as that story broke
00:01:20.620 so that he could be there doing a photo op, you know, showing remorse and contrition,
00:01:26.580 and this is really his brand that he cares the most, except for the fact that his record is pretty much the complete opposite.
00:01:33.660 He came into office on a promise that he would end these water boil advisories on First Nations reserves,
00:01:39.400 and that is still in place.
00:01:41.100 He took a bunch of First Nations kids to court because he didn't want to pay them out despite a ruling against him.
00:01:47.220 And really, this is no surprise, that rather than spending Canada's First Truth and Reconciliation Day
00:01:52.140 doing something to promote the relationship, to address the many, many problems that exist in First Nations community,
00:01:57.920 to really make an effort to try to improve opportunity and prosperity and freedom
00:02:02.460 for individuals in First Nations in Canada.
00:02:06.080 Justin Trudeau just selfishly went off on a personal vacation to Tofino,
00:02:09.820 and not just that, but he lied about it.
00:02:11.220 So the Prime Minister's official itinerary from the Prime Minister's office, here it is,
00:02:14.740 Prime Minister's itinerary for Thursday, September 30th, 2021,
00:02:17.800 that he's going to be in Ottawa all day in private meetings.
00:02:20.840 So why is it that on the First Reconciliation Day that his government was the one that introduced and passed,
00:02:25.380 why wouldn't he have things planned?
00:02:26.860 Why wouldn't he go out to Kamloops and be part of that community's ceremony?
00:02:32.280 Why wouldn't he be doing anything?
00:02:34.260 Why would he take this off?
00:02:35.260 Why did the media give him a pass on that?
00:02:37.580 Well, it took a reporter from The Toronto Sun, my colleague Brian Pusifimi,
00:02:41.640 to break this story wide open.
00:02:43.700 He tweeted this yesterday afternoon.
00:02:45.180 He says,
00:02:45.480 How is Canada's Prime Minister spending our first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation?
00:02:49.340 Tofino, baby, surfs up.
00:02:51.740 And Brian, well, this is something that he's become known for.
00:02:54.920 He tracks and follows the Prime Minister's personal jet, the challenger,
00:02:58.420 and sees where it goes in order to understand what the Prime Minister is doing and where he's going.
00:03:02.740 And here he uncovered that the Prime Minister was actually going to Tofino.
00:03:06.760 So my question is this, and this is why I included it in Fake News Friday,
00:03:10.120 is why did it take a reporter from The Toronto Sun?
00:03:12.720 The Toronto Sun is sort of a small, scrappy, conservative paper that the legacy media,
00:03:16.760 and the mainstream media hate, why did it take a reporter from The Toronto Sun
00:03:20.100 to do something that the Parliamentary Press Gallery should have done?
00:03:23.220 The whole idea of having a Parliamentary Press Gallery,
00:03:26.320 having all these reporters in Ottawa, supposedly, is that they are in the know,
00:03:30.760 they're connected, they have their ear to the ground,
00:03:33.120 they're the ones that know what's going on within the Prime Minister's office,
00:03:36.480 within the sort of inner circles and upper halls of power in the country.
00:03:40.480 So why didn't anyone from the Parliamentary Press Gallery break the story?
00:03:43.860 You have to ask yourself that, because there's basically two reasons why.
00:03:47.720 Either they are very incompetent at their jobs and they just had no idea
00:03:51.840 and they're not doing what they're supposed to be doing,
00:03:54.180 they're not really as tuned in and connected as they want you to believe,
00:03:59.200 or alternatively, they knew.
00:04:01.320 They knew that the Prime Minister was taking a personal day,
00:04:03.500 they knew that he was taking some time with his family,
00:04:06.040 taking some time on the West Coast to just get away from it all,
00:04:08.800 but they didn't think that the public deserved to know.
00:04:11.280 So either they're incompetent or they're in cahoots with the Trudeau Liberals.
00:04:15.880 Either way, that's pretty bad.
00:04:17.860 You can make up your own mind about which one you think it is,
00:04:21.000 but good for Brian for breaking this story wide open.
00:04:23.960 And it goes from bad to worse, because the Prime Minister's office
00:04:26.360 just sort of subtly acknowledged that, yes,
00:04:29.140 they were lying when they said that he was in Ottawa.
00:04:31.440 The reality is he's in Tofino,
00:04:32.800 because they quietly updated his itinerary for Thursday, September 30th.
00:04:36.780 Here is what it looked like later in the afternoon.
00:04:39.240 He's actually in Tofino, British Columbia in private meetings,
00:04:42.180 and Global News caught up with him.
00:04:43.900 This is what those private meetings look like.
00:04:45.660 Here is Justin Trudeau walking on the beach
00:04:47.940 with his wife, Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau.
00:04:50.840 Why not in person, sir?
00:04:56.620 They invited you.
00:04:57.820 And a spokesperson for the Prime Minister's office
00:05:15.000 did reluctantly confirm to Global News
00:05:17.380 that, yes, the Prime Minister is in Tofino with his family
00:05:20.880 for a few days on a personal vacation.
00:05:23.820 So again, not so big on that whole leadership thing.
00:05:27.100 You know, the Prime Minister is leading a country
00:05:28.820 through a very difficult time in dealing with reconciliation
00:05:32.640 for some of the horrible things that happened
00:05:34.540 to First Nations people in this country.
00:05:36.860 And rather than doing anything about it,
00:05:38.740 he's just off on the beach hanging out with his family.
00:05:41.140 That tells you everything you need to know.
00:05:43.240 All right, so moving on.
00:05:44.340 I got to cover this story.
00:05:45.760 I really hate, as a general rule,
00:05:47.560 when media outlets become the story
00:05:49.580 or when journalists become the story.
00:05:50.980 I know it's happened a few times to us at True North,
00:05:53.040 partially because usually liberals and liberal governments
00:05:55.920 are so overzealous and anti-independent media
00:05:59.120 that we end up having to be the story
00:06:01.060 because we get turned into it
00:06:02.720 because they won't let us report or they won't let us in.
00:06:04.960 This is one of those that's just sort of tangentially
00:06:07.040 turned into a story about us
00:06:09.060 because of the way that a government is treating us.
00:06:11.880 Sadly, though, it is a conservative government
00:06:13.920 out in Alberta.
00:06:15.100 So let me just tell you about this story.
00:06:16.980 So it starts with Dr. Dina Henshaw,
00:06:18.920 who's a top doctor out in Alberta,
00:06:20.720 giving a press conference last Friday
00:06:22.680 talking about this new fourth wave
00:06:24.600 that's really just hammering Alberta
00:06:26.240 and really, really a bad news story
00:06:28.760 for Jason Kenney and his government,
00:06:31.040 the way that they're handling it,
00:06:32.340 and the media are just really drumming it up,
00:06:34.320 drumming it up,
00:06:34.840 making it seem like it's this huge disaster war zone,
00:06:37.920 and really just exaggerating it out of control,
00:06:40.680 out of control.
00:06:41.760 The legacy media is doing their best work in overtime,
00:06:44.720 trying to make Kenney and the UCP government look bad.
00:06:48.060 So in this context,
00:06:49.920 Dr. Dina Henshaw talks about one of the policies
00:06:52.720 to do with the school closures,
00:06:54.480 to do with outbreaks within schools,
00:06:56.620 talking about how you don't necessarily have to have
00:06:59.520 a positive COVID test to get included into these numbers.
00:07:02.900 Now, I'll just stop right there
00:07:04.300 and say that this is confirmation of the fear
00:07:08.820 and the concern that so many people out there have,
00:07:11.300 not just on the right,
00:07:12.120 but across the political spectrum,
00:07:13.440 across society,
00:07:14.180 people who are really starting to grow tired
00:07:16.260 of this COVID stuff,
00:07:17.200 getting tired of the lockdowns and the mandates
00:07:20.180 and just the heavy-handed,
00:07:22.200 top-down government approach
00:07:23.600 of both overzealous health officials and politicians.
00:07:27.520 And one of the things that people are mistrustful of
00:07:29.880 is the numbers.
00:07:30.700 They think that the numbers are inflated,
00:07:32.280 that the numbers are exaggerated,
00:07:33.700 that they're often cooked.
00:07:35.020 And what Henshaw said in her press conference
00:07:37.020 was very poorly worded.
00:07:38.640 It left much to be desired.
00:07:40.460 It was so vague that you could really apply
00:07:42.580 your own interpretation onto it.
00:07:44.920 So I'm going to show you the 30-second clip.
00:07:46.960 And I want to point out
00:07:47.920 that this was going viral on social media.
00:07:50.140 This was going viral on TikTok,
00:07:52.080 on YouTube, on Facebook, everywhere.
00:07:54.600 Nothing to do with True North,
00:07:55.720 nothing to do with The Rebel.
00:07:56.840 It was a clip,
00:07:57.920 actually a clip from Global News Edmonton.
00:08:00.060 So this is the way that Global News Edmonton clipped it.
00:08:02.240 It wasn't the way that some independent journalist
00:08:04.740 was trying to frame it
00:08:06.060 in order to take it out of context.
00:08:07.980 This is the way the mainstream media was clipping it.
00:08:11.040 And you can see it in this video
00:08:12.700 that was taken from TikTok.
00:08:14.380 You can see that it is exactly the same way
00:08:16.860 that was clipped on Global.
00:08:18.680 So let's play that clip right now.
00:08:20.960 If individuals choose to not get tested for COVID
00:08:24.260 but are home with an illness,
00:08:26.160 they're now counted in the list
00:08:28.980 as being part of that outbreak.
00:08:31.620 And so it's less dependent on needing a test
00:08:35.260 to be a part of identifying where there is an issue.
00:08:38.280 We are, as I mentioned, working with education
00:08:41.060 to determine if there are any adjustments
00:08:42.780 that need to be made.
00:08:44.220 So even if you're not tested,
00:08:45.860 you're listed as part of the outbreak.
00:08:48.000 That is confirmation of the thing
00:08:50.120 that so many people believe.
00:08:51.840 And that is why this video took on a life of its own.
00:08:53.980 Like I said, it started getting picked up by influencers,
00:08:56.440 not just in Canada, but in the United States.
00:08:58.680 Big, big accounts pointing at this saying,
00:09:01.140 look, this is what health experts are doing.
00:09:03.140 They are cooking the numbers.
00:09:06.480 And so all that True North did
00:09:07.940 was we took that exact same clip,
00:09:09.660 the exact same one that was clipped by Global Edmonton.
00:09:11.540 We put it in a better quality
00:09:12.580 because as you can see,
00:09:13.380 the quality there was just someone
00:09:14.840 videotaping a television screen.
00:09:16.680 So we found the original, cleaned it up,
00:09:18.900 posted it on Twitter.
00:09:20.240 Within 25 minutes of us posting it on Twitter,
00:09:23.520 the Alberta government, this Twitter account,
00:09:26.060 which is run by the political staff
00:09:27.580 in Jason Kenney's office, what did they do?
00:09:29.940 They posted this.
00:09:31.100 This claim is false.
00:09:32.640 All reported positive COVID-19 cases
00:09:34.720 are confirmed by lab test.
00:09:37.600 And you can see they screenshotted Ezra Levant,
00:09:40.140 who had the original grainy TikTok video here,
00:09:43.020 and they screenshotted True North.
00:09:44.460 I'll read you what we wrote.
00:09:45.780 It said this.
00:09:46.800 Have you seen this?
00:09:47.900 Alberta's top doctor says people homesick
00:09:49.620 are counted in COVID numbers.
00:09:52.020 And you can't see with the way that they screenshotted it,
00:09:54.240 but we had just posted it.
00:09:55.340 Like I said, it was 25 minutes.
00:09:56.500 You can see that we only had 728 views at that point.
00:10:00.960 So typically in the media world,
00:10:02.440 if you're a comps person working for a political office
00:10:04.680 and you see a media outlet post something
00:10:06.920 that isn't accurate, what do you do?
00:10:08.740 You try to get a correction.
00:10:09.940 You contact the editor.
00:10:11.040 You contact the reporter.
00:10:12.240 You say, hey, look, you got something wrong.
00:10:14.140 Can you put a correction?
00:10:15.220 Can you issue a correction?
00:10:16.320 But they didn't do that.
00:10:17.460 Instead, they dunked on us.
00:10:18.780 They just chose to screenshot our tweet,
00:10:21.000 not even retweeting it.
00:10:22.280 They screenshotted it so that people
00:10:23.660 couldn't get the contacts.
00:10:24.620 They couldn't click on the video
00:10:26.120 to see for themselves what Dr. Dina Hinshaw had said.
00:10:28.960 Because if you did click on the video
00:10:30.580 and you saw what she said,
00:10:31.840 you could see that she said
00:10:33.180 exactly what we reported her as saying.
00:10:35.720 So again, just really, really bad strategy
00:10:37.980 on behalf of the conservative government
00:10:39.800 out in Alberta, dunking on True North,
00:10:42.000 dunking on the rebel.
00:10:42.700 You know, these are independent media outlets
00:10:44.520 that are popular among
00:10:45.700 the grassroots conservative base.
00:10:47.400 So dunking on your friends,
00:10:48.960 not exactly a good message.
00:10:50.860 Also, the fact that rather than going,
00:10:52.860 you know, the polite way
00:10:53.660 and asking for a correction
00:10:54.640 and showing some respect to the media outlet,
00:10:56.680 they just dunk on us.
00:10:58.120 They just try to embarrass us,
00:10:59.600 call us a false claim.
00:11:01.020 They didn't do this.
00:11:01.940 Let me know.
00:11:02.500 They didn't do this to Global Edmonton,
00:11:04.240 who are the ones that originally posted that clip.
00:11:06.660 Interesting how they didn't bother
00:11:07.760 to do this fact check on the legacy media.
00:11:10.320 They only chose to do it on independent media.
00:11:12.760 Well, it gets even worse than that
00:11:14.000 because look, here at True North,
00:11:15.180 we're not interested in twerking the truth.
00:11:16.640 We actually want to get stories right.
00:11:18.020 We want to have facts.
00:11:19.000 We want to make sure that we're delivering
00:11:20.960 the truth to our viewers and our audience.
00:11:23.060 That's what you expect of us
00:11:23.920 and that's what we expect of ourselves.
00:11:25.760 So when we saw this overreaction
00:11:27.580 by Kenny Stafford
00:11:29.060 and the way that they were treating us,
00:11:30.660 we did seek to correct
00:11:32.420 and make it clear to our viewers
00:11:34.160 that look, she was actually talking
00:11:35.660 about something very specific here.
00:11:36.900 She wasn't broadly talking about all of Alberta.
00:11:39.180 She was talking about school outbreaks.
00:11:41.200 Again, it was Dr. Dina Henshaw
00:11:42.560 who made the broad statement,
00:11:44.200 who wasn't clear and concise,
00:11:46.180 who didn't make it overwhelmingly clear
00:11:48.160 that she was only really talking
00:11:49.320 about this one instance.
00:11:50.380 So again, we added a second tweet
00:11:53.280 to our thread saying,
00:11:54.980 look, there's more context here.
00:11:56.660 Dina Henshaw was talking about school closures,
00:11:58.840 not talking about COVID case count.
00:12:01.440 And we took down our video on Facebook.
00:12:03.520 We had a video on Facebook
00:12:04.740 that had 45,000 views already.
00:12:06.740 We decided to take that one down
00:12:08.180 and add a fuller, broader one
00:12:10.520 that had more context.
00:12:11.880 Well, lo and behold, a few minutes later,
00:12:13.960 Facebook slaps a false information flag
00:12:16.820 on top of our video on Facebook
00:12:18.940 saying that this claim is false
00:12:20.600 and including this fact-checked
00:12:22.540 from the Associated Press
00:12:24.100 saying that a Canadian health official's remarks
00:12:26.820 about COVID-19 were misrepresented online.
00:12:29.860 And it goes to this AP story,
00:12:31.500 which is weird because AP is
00:12:32.980 an American news organization,
00:12:34.600 but still they say,
00:12:36.180 look, this video of Alberta's top doctor
00:12:39.600 saying what she's saying isn't true.
00:12:42.120 Now, do you remember during the election campaign,
00:12:43.480 the Trudeau liberals sliced up
00:12:44.840 this interview of Erin O'Toole,
00:12:46.940 really taking it out of context,
00:12:48.200 making it seem like he was saying yes
00:12:49.820 to privatizing healthcare,
00:12:51.220 even though when you show the full clip
00:12:53.240 with all the context,
00:12:54.160 that's not what he's saying at all.
00:12:55.560 And Twitter slapped a manipulated video post
00:12:58.960 on top of it so that everyone knows,
00:13:00.540 look, this video is unfairly edited
00:13:02.340 and the truth isn't in what he's saying.
00:13:05.360 Well, this wasn't happening here.
00:13:06.680 It wasn't a manipulated video.
00:13:07.880 We didn't manipulate anything.
00:13:09.300 We just showed the full clip in its entirety.
00:13:12.560 And the one that we showed on Facebook
00:13:13.780 was the broader one,
00:13:15.020 making it clear that she was talking
00:13:16.380 about school outbreaks.
00:13:17.500 So why is it that the Associated Press
00:13:20.020 jumped in to tell our viewers
00:13:22.780 that what they were seeing was fake?
00:13:24.860 Well, it didn't even matter at that point
00:13:26.580 because here we have government officials
00:13:28.300 in Alberta colluding with Facebook,
00:13:30.600 colluding with Associated Press.
00:13:31.960 We have big government, big tech,
00:13:33.720 and big media all colluding together
00:13:35.720 to tell you not to believe your lying eyes,
00:13:38.480 not to trust your lying eyes,
00:13:39.700 that independent media like True North,
00:13:41.320 who were just showing you a clip
00:13:42.440 of a doctor saying something
00:13:44.380 that that's not true,
00:13:45.620 that we're lying,
00:13:46.560 that we're misrepresenting the truth.
00:13:47.900 This is what conservatives hate.
00:13:49.720 This is why people are so mistrustful
00:13:51.600 of the forces that be.
00:13:52.700 You have open collusion
00:13:53.980 between big government,
00:13:55.300 big tech, and big media.
00:13:57.080 It is despicable.
00:13:57.920 And again, these are conservatives
00:13:59.960 in Alberta, you know,
00:14:01.400 conservatives who are acting
00:14:02.360 like Stephen Galeboe and Justin Trudeau,
00:14:04.540 trying to censor the internet.
00:14:06.620 And unfortunately, it all backfired.
00:14:08.300 It blew up in their face.
00:14:09.060 The story became huge.
00:14:10.440 So many more people saw that original video
00:14:12.580 of Dina Henshaw
00:14:13.500 because everyone,
00:14:14.520 everyone was out there
00:14:15.580 replying to the original tweet
00:14:17.920 from the Alberta government
00:14:18.720 saying, look at the video,
00:14:20.560 watch it for yourself,
00:14:21.600 make up your own mind.
00:14:22.700 This is what she's saying.
00:14:23.900 So having the government
00:14:24.660 trying to come out
00:14:25.500 and say what you see isn't true,
00:14:27.580 this is the truth,
00:14:28.740 really just a bad look.
00:14:30.320 I don't know what the heck
00:14:31.020 is going on out in Alberta,
00:14:32.980 but it is not good.
00:14:34.280 All right, folks,
00:14:34.740 I want to end on a bit
00:14:35.660 of a positive note today.
00:14:36.980 I saw this interview
00:14:37.720 and it just made me happy.
00:14:38.720 So I'm going to end the show
00:14:39.680 with this video.
00:14:40.700 This is a delicious,
00:14:42.320 delicious interview
00:14:43.100 of a high-profile criminal defense lawyer,
00:14:45.940 Mary Hennin,
00:14:46.720 doing an interview
00:14:47.400 with the CBC's Matt Galloway.
00:14:49.780 Hennin is promoting her new book
00:14:51.140 called Nothing But The Truth,
00:14:52.260 A Memoir,
00:14:52.920 and doing the rounds on the media.
00:14:54.540 You might remember her.
00:14:55.280 She was the high-profile lawyer
00:14:56.680 who defended Gian Gomeschi
00:14:58.340 against sexual assault accusations.
00:15:01.060 This was probably
00:15:01.660 the first high-profile case
00:15:04.420 that sort of led
00:15:05.540 to this big Me Too movement.
00:15:07.360 Hennin was successful.
00:15:08.900 Gian Gomeschi was acquitted
00:15:10.080 of many of the charges.
00:15:11.580 But because of that,
00:15:12.440 she was sort of demonized
00:15:13.300 as being an anti-feminist.
00:15:15.280 And so, you know,
00:15:16.660 that's the context.
00:15:17.540 And because it's the CBC,
00:15:18.580 because they are obsessed
00:15:19.620 with divisive
00:15:20.440 and reductive identity politics,
00:15:22.420 you can see that the interviewer
00:15:23.880 is solely focused
00:15:25.120 on this one issue of feminism.
00:15:27.020 He's berating her
00:15:27.860 for daring to go
00:15:28.740 against the Me Too movement,
00:15:31.080 daring to defend men
00:15:32.340 who are charged
00:15:33.760 to a sexual assault,
00:15:35.020 daring to not fall
00:15:36.500 into this ridiculous
00:15:37.660 and unjust idea
00:15:38.900 that we should always
00:15:39.840 believe women,
00:15:40.740 that we should always
00:15:41.360 believe victims,
00:15:42.480 that men should just, what,
00:15:43.620 go to jail
00:15:44.180 without due process
00:15:46.820 and the rule of law.
00:15:47.940 I mean, it's just so insane.
00:15:49.180 And you can see
00:15:49.700 how Hennin just has no time
00:15:51.420 for this woke leftist nonsense.
00:15:52.760 She has no time for it.
00:15:53.880 She simply eviscerates
00:15:55.200 the interviewer
00:15:56.160 for his ridiculous
00:15:57.460 line of questions.
00:15:58.640 Let's show this video.
00:16:00.060 One of the other questions
00:16:01.040 you're asked,
00:16:01.420 and this will be the final one
00:16:02.260 that I mentioned
00:16:03.100 that's in the book,
00:16:03.780 is you're asked,
00:16:05.040 how can you,
00:16:05.840 as a woman,
00:16:06.400 defend someone
00:16:07.000 who's charged
00:16:07.600 with sexual assault?
00:16:09.160 The same way
00:16:09.900 that a man defends
00:16:10.860 someone who's charged
00:16:12.080 with sexual assault.
00:16:13.400 You know, men have been
00:16:14.120 in my profession
00:16:15.060 for hundreds and hundreds
00:16:16.120 of years.
00:16:17.360 And it's not dishonorable
00:16:19.400 to be a defense lawyer.
00:16:21.440 It's not dishonorable
00:16:22.340 to represent anybody
00:16:23.560 charged with an offense.
00:16:25.580 I don't see
00:16:26.380 the incongruity of it
00:16:27.760 at all.
00:16:29.020 And quite frankly,
00:16:30.340 it's not the question
00:16:32.200 we should be asking.
00:16:33.600 How do you respond
00:16:34.480 when people ask
00:16:35.680 that question
00:16:36.260 and then follow it
00:16:37.300 by saying,
00:16:38.460 do you consider yourself
00:16:40.780 a feminist?
00:16:41.900 Because as you said,
00:16:42.740 I mean,
00:16:43.100 as a woman,
00:16:44.500 this is your job.
00:16:45.340 As a man,
00:16:46.080 that would be the job.
00:16:47.440 But people will add
00:16:49.260 another element to it.
00:16:50.480 And so how do you
00:16:50.920 respond to that?
00:16:51.760 Well, you know,
00:16:52.200 it's interesting that they
00:16:53.000 add another element,
00:16:54.220 Matt,
00:16:54.340 because when men
00:16:55.140 disagree with each other,
00:16:56.360 when men do
00:16:57.260 various professions,
00:16:58.220 when men argue about politics
00:16:59.740 or wars or whatever it is,
00:17:01.460 nobody ever says,
00:17:02.140 you know what,
00:17:02.440 you're really a traitor
00:17:03.280 to your manhood.
00:17:05.620 It's a gendered question,
00:17:07.240 I think,
00:17:07.980 in my view.
00:17:08.720 And I don't answer
00:17:09.940 that question
00:17:10.580 because I think
00:17:11.360 it causes us
00:17:12.240 to fight amongst each other.
00:17:13.780 And I think we as women
00:17:14.640 have many challenges
00:17:15.620 in the world.
00:17:16.320 And the last thing
00:17:16.980 we need to be doing
00:17:17.720 is questioning
00:17:19.100 each other's credentials,
00:17:20.560 quite frankly.
00:17:21.300 So there's a spectrum
00:17:22.540 and we have different views,
00:17:24.600 different philosophies,
00:17:25.720 different political leanings.
00:17:28.220 I don't think
00:17:28.960 that undermines it,
00:17:29.980 but I'm not,
00:17:31.160 and there will be no day
00:17:32.440 that I feel compelled
00:17:33.800 to justify
00:17:34.500 what my views are,
00:17:36.140 what my values are,
00:17:37.300 or what I do
00:17:38.260 for a living to anybody.
00:17:40.200 Just so good,
00:17:41.060 so good.
00:17:41.480 So I love how she even
00:17:42.740 turned it around on him
00:17:44.180 using his own woke vocabulary
00:17:46.240 by accusing him
00:17:47.660 of asking her
00:17:48.740 a gendered question,
00:17:49.920 which is 100% true.
00:17:51.500 Of course it is.
00:17:52.260 Of course,
00:17:52.780 the way that he's
00:17:53.640 treating this woman
00:17:54.340 is totally different
00:17:55.840 than how he would be
00:17:56.580 treating a male
00:17:57.500 if it was in the same position,
00:17:59.020 which is just showing
00:17:59.960 the irony
00:18:00.440 and the complete hypocrisy
00:18:02.060 of the woke left-wing position.
00:18:04.000 They pretend to be feminist.
00:18:05.120 They pretend to be the ones
00:18:06.260 that are promoting
00:18:06.940 the rights and equality of women,
00:18:09.000 but you can see
00:18:09.920 by the questions
00:18:10.940 that he's treating her
00:18:11.920 so differently.
00:18:12.640 So because he's so woke,
00:18:13.780 because he's so fixated
00:18:15.000 on gender,
00:18:15.760 he actually turns out
00:18:16.860 to be the one
00:18:17.580 that is promoting
00:18:18.420 an unfair
00:18:19.240 and dishonest approach
00:18:21.180 to treating women
00:18:22.220 in the workforce.
00:18:22.900 So good for Mary Hannon
00:18:24.260 for standing up against us.
00:18:25.740 I love this woman,
00:18:26.360 by the way.
00:18:26.720 If she were to ever
00:18:27.420 jump into politics,
00:18:28.640 I think that conservatives
00:18:29.560 would welcome her
00:18:30.360 with open arms,
00:18:31.300 or at least she should.
00:18:32.080 She would be so good.
00:18:33.220 Like, could you just imagine
00:18:34.720 her on the debate stage
00:18:36.260 with Justin Trudeau
00:18:37.420 debating him in an election?
00:18:38.820 She would absolutely
00:18:39.700 wipe the floor with him
00:18:41.220 and expose his nonsense
00:18:43.020 and his ideology.
00:18:44.180 She has no time
00:18:45.000 for any of that
00:18:45.560 and it would just be so good.
00:18:46.960 I do hope one day
00:18:47.700 that she would pursue
00:18:48.880 a career in politics
00:18:49.780 because I think
00:18:50.780 she would just be
00:18:51.440 absolutely fantastic.
00:18:53.040 All right, everyone,
00:18:53.680 I will leave it there.
00:18:54.480 Have a wonderful weekend.
00:18:55.500 We'll be back next week.
00:18:56.580 I'm Candice Malcolm
00:18:57.040 and this is
00:18:57.720 The Candice Malcolm Show.
