00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, today on the Charlie Kirk show.
00:00:01.000 Rick Scott, Republican from Florida, comes out with 11 great points Republicans need to run on.
00:00:07.000 We're also joined by Matt Schlapp from CPAC, where I will be there in just a couple hours.
00:00:11.000 That and so much more.
00:00:12.000 Email me directly, freedom at charliekirk.com, and get involved today with TurningpointUSA at tpusa.com.
00:00:19.000 That's tpusa.com, where we play offense with a sense of urgency to win the American culture war, tpusa.com.
00:00:26.000 Buckle up, everybody.
00:00:27.000 Here we go.
00:00:27.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:00:29.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.
00:00:31.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:00:35.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:00:38.000 I want to thank Charlie.
00:00:39.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:00:40.000 His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.
00:00:48.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:00:57.000 That's why we are here.
00:01:00.000 Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com.
00:01:09.000 So crime is on the rise all across the country, but there's two kind of tracks of the crime issue.
00:01:17.000 There's the fact that criminals feel empowered to do what they want to do because the police don't have the ability to intervene, just kind of smash and grab stores.
00:01:25.000 The anarcho-tyranny, where if you dare participate in a thought crime or give $50 to the Canadian truckers, they're going to raid your apartment, where if you want to just go steal a couple thousand dollars of merchandise, you're perfectly fine.
00:01:39.000 So there's a couple of crimes in particular I want to talk about that I think illuminate the moment that we're in in the country, but it's not just the police part of it.
00:01:48.000 It's also the district attorney.
00:01:50.000 It's the prosecution of such crimes.
00:01:53.000 So this one story is so extraordinary.
00:02:00.000 And there's been a lot of back and forth on this, but the latest is this.
00:02:05.000 George Gascon, who I think is being recalled in Los Angeles County, the fact he got elected in the first place is just extraordinary, is actually saying that his recommended sentence for this person is too short.
00:02:20.000 Now, who is this person?
00:02:22.000 Well, this person is allegedly by the name of Hannah Tubbs.
00:02:25.000 I refuse to use the term Hannah Tubbs.
00:02:28.000 I'm just going to call this person Tubbs.
00:02:31.000 This person Tubbs is a deranged criminal.
00:02:35.000 I don't say that lightly.
00:02:36.000 He's a sick individual.
00:02:38.000 This person Tubbs, two weeks shy of their 18th birthday.
00:02:43.000 Now, this person was a man when they committed the crime, still a man, now considers himself to be a woman, just so you know.
00:02:51.000 So Tubbs goes into Denny's.
00:02:55.000 This was back in 2014.
00:02:58.000 Grabbed a 10-year-old girl by the throat, locked her in a stall, shoved her hand down the girl's pants, and sexually assaulted her.
00:03:07.000 Prosecutors say stopping only after someone else entered the restroom.
00:03:12.000 Tubbs is now 26, pleaded guilty to assault, and was sentenced to two years in a juvenile facility.
00:03:19.000 Criminal record includes another allegation of sexual abuse of a child, so a repeat offender.
00:03:24.000 Now, Gascon says, quote, while most people, while for most people, several years of jail is adequate, it may not be for Miss Tubbs.
00:03:34.000 If we knew about her disregard for the harm she caused, we would have handled this case differently.
00:03:41.000 The complex issues and facts of her particular case were unusual, and I should have treated them that way.
00:03:48.000 This change in policy will allow us in the space that moving forward.
00:03:50.000 So there'll be no change, basically.
00:03:53.000 This person's going to a juvenile facility for two years, probably get out sooner than that for multiple assaults against a child, gender transition to a woman, and they're going to walk the streets free, probably doing it again.
00:04:07.000 Now, recently released phone conversations between Tubbs and his father said, They're going to stick me on probation and it's going to get dropped.
00:04:20.000 It's going to get done.
00:04:21.000 I won't have to register, won't have to do nothing.
00:04:24.000 They will not have to register as a sex offender.
00:04:27.000 And so, this kind of goes back to the Ukraine conversation in a very interesting way, which is what are we going to prioritize in our society?
00:04:38.000 So, the same sort of interventions that we need to prioritize, what problems kind of necessitate our focus, where are the real concerns, the civilizational concerns, such as deterioration of the family, crime, drugs, all these sorts of things.
00:04:55.000 And the same can be for what sort of crimes should we prosecute and how should we focus on them.
00:05:02.000 Now, do you notice how I worded that?
00:05:03.000 Because it's not that the left doesn't want all crimes to be prosecuted, they want some crimes to be prosecuted heavily and severely, and other crimes they couldn't care less.
00:05:15.000 Sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl, but it's not that big of a deal, especially if the man thinks that he's a woman.
00:05:20.000 I mean, it's a transgender person.
00:05:21.000 We have to have sympathy for that person.
00:05:23.000 Obviously, let them lose.
00:05:24.000 Just let them prowl the streets, do whatever they want.
00:05:27.000 For the left, that sort of crime, no big deal.
00:05:32.000 Smash and grab at department stores, no big deal.
00:05:35.000 But the sort of crimes that really bother them would be misgendering somebody.
00:05:42.000 The crime that they really want to focus on would be political type crimes.
00:05:46.000 Do you walk into the Capitol building and take a selfie?
00:05:50.000 Well, we want to lock you up for the rest of your life.
00:05:53.000 Here's the recorded audio: the sex offender calls Hannah Tubbs, even though it's such a joke, saying that I won't have to register as a sex offender because of the light on crime policies.
00:06:06.000 Play cut 17.
00:06:07.000 Don't worry about it.
00:06:08.000 It's a strike, but they're going to plead.
00:06:09.000 I'm going to plead out to her.
00:06:10.000 I'm going to plead guilty.
00:06:11.000 They're going to stick me on probation, and it's going to be dropped.
00:06:14.000 It's going to be gone.
00:06:15.000 I won't have to register once or nothing.
00:06:15.000 Done.
00:06:17.000 For an offender, you don't have to register.
00:06:19.000 I won't have to do none of that.
00:06:21.000 So, what are they going to do to you then?
00:06:22.000 Nothing.
00:06:23.000 They're going to do nothing.
00:06:25.000 I can walk the streets.
00:06:26.000 I'm going to be just fine for walking into a Denny's for a 10-year-old girl and sexually assaulting that girl.
00:06:33.000 Completely, totally an innocent victim.
00:06:36.000 Totally innocent.
00:06:37.000 But that is the new regime of Los Angeles.
00:06:40.000 A similar story happened in Louisville.
00:06:45.000 I want you to imagine for a second: if a Trump supporter tried to murder a Jewish mayoral candidate, how do you think that person would be treated?
00:06:55.000 Do you think that person would be bailed out?
00:06:59.000 Well, BLM Incorporated has now bailed out an individual in Tennessee.
00:07:05.000 This BLM activist was charged in a murder attempt of a Jewish mayoral candidate.
00:07:10.000 Quintez Brown, a local political activist, allegedly attempted a shooting attack on Craig Greenberg, a Jewish Democrat running for mayor in Louisville.
00:07:20.000 Louisville police have charged Quintez Brown, a local political activist.
00:07:24.000 Brown 21 has been prominent in the city's civil rights activism.
00:07:28.000 That's what they say.
00:07:29.000 Yeah, burning down cities is civil rights activism, including Black Lives Matter protests.
00:07:35.000 And previously worked for the Louisville Courier Journal.
00:07:39.000 Wow.
00:07:39.000 He's a journalist.
00:07:40.000 So he's an attempted murdering journalist, BLM guy.
00:07:44.000 Got it.
00:07:46.000 Police said he was charged on Tuesday for attempted murder in his alleged shooting attack in Greenberg's downtown office.
00:07:55.000 No one was hurt, but a bullet penetrated Greenberg's clothing.
00:08:00.000 No motive has been reported.
00:08:01.000 Oh, I wonder what the motive would be against a Jewish candidate.
00:08:04.000 Of course, you're not allowed to say that if it's a potential black criminal, like, oh, no, no, we don't know what the motive is, right?
00:08:09.000 Okay, sure.
00:08:11.000 The suspect arrested over an attempted assassination attempt, released on bail.
00:08:18.000 People say that he has suffered from mental illness, referring to his disappearance last year for two weeks.
00:08:24.000 And who bailed him out?
00:08:25.000 The local BLM chapter bailed him out.
00:08:28.000 They raised the money and they got Quintez Brown out of jail.
00:08:32.000 So now Quintez Brown is walking the streets after he tries to murder a Jewish man running for office.
00:08:39.000 I want you to imagine for a second if a Trump supporter did that.
00:08:45.000 A MAGA hat-wearing Trump supporter tried to murder a Jewish man running for office.
00:08:53.000 I mean, it would be nationwide news.
00:08:55.000 It would be a hate crime.
00:08:57.000 Every Republican would have to apologize preemptively for what's happening.
00:09:01.000 Instead, the media is completely silent on this.
00:09:04.000 Meanwhile, this guy shared anti-Semitic views, but we're not allowed to say that there's any sort of motive here because he's a member of BLM.
00:09:11.000 You sexually assault a 10-year-old girl, you get a couple years of juvenile detention when you're 26 and nothing on your record.
00:09:19.000 You try to murder a Jewish man running for office and you're a Black Lives Matter black activist, no big deal.
00:09:26.000 But you walk into the Capitol and take a selfie and wave a flag, they're going to treat you as if you're in gitmo, a political prisoner.
00:09:35.000 How many years have I been telling you about Relief Factor?
00:09:37.000 Producer Andrews right here doing an Iron Man thanks to Relief Factor.
00:09:40.000 And truth is, I know there are millions of people.
00:09:42.000 In fact, some say over 100 million people struggling with some kind of pain, maybe from exercise or just getting older.
00:09:48.000 That can do it, getting older, which is why I'm so impressed with the people at relieffactor.com.
00:09:52.000 They are on a mission.
00:09:53.000 You rarely see this kind of focus and commitment.
00:09:55.000 They recently shared with me that they are doubling down and want to literally double their total number of happy customers in the next year.
00:10:01.000 And I believe they'll do it.

00:10:32.000 Senator Rick Scott has come out with a pledge to the voters of this country, 11-point plan with 128 promises from Republicans saying we win elections by having plans.
00:10:50.000 So you can see it at rescueamerica.com.
00:10:52.000 I'm open-minded to this, and actually, I think it's a good thing Republicans are starting to put their promises in a clear, easy to understand, easy to follow, very public fashion.
00:11:03.000 Here are some of the promises.
00:11:06.000 It's an 11-point rescue plan for America.
00:11:10.000 You guys can download it and check it out.
00:11:13.000 So it actually has here, Rick Scott says, quote, great nations don't automatically last forever.
00:11:20.000 It's true.
00:11:21.000 Wise, actually.
00:11:22.000 All right, here they are.
00:11:24.000 He says, the hour is late for America.
00:11:26.000 He says our government has created the highest debt in human history.
00:11:29.000 Pleased to hear him talk about the debt.
00:11:31.000 He says, quote, Americans are afraid to speak their minds for fear of being silenced and canceled by woke elitists.
00:11:37.000 He's totally right.
00:11:38.000 Our children are being poisoned by a false political agenda in their schools.
00:11:42.000 Correct.
00:11:43.000 Inflation is a tax placed on us by politicians who waste our money.
00:11:47.000 Totally agree.
00:11:48.000 Our inept withdrawal from Afghanistan dishonored the sacrifices of thousands of Americans and encouraged our enemies.
00:11:55.000 Half right.
00:11:56.000 The way we withdrew was stupid, but we should have withdrew.
00:11:59.000 Our poorest southern border is a national crisis.
00:12:02.000 Yes.
00:12:03.000 Our cities are overrun by theft, violence, and a 30% increase in murder.
00:12:08.000 I agree.
00:12:09.000 Our government is making us less energy independent and killing jobs.
00:12:12.000 Spot on.
00:12:13.000 American warfighters are being indoctrinated with left-wing woke foolishness and kicked out of the military because of big brother vaccine mandates.
00:12:21.000 Yes.
00:12:22.000 Our government is eroding our work ethic by paying people not to work.
00:12:26.000 Yes.
00:12:27.000 We are allowing biological males to destroy women's sports.
00:12:31.000 Yes.
00:12:32.000 Our kids are being taught to hate America and divide each other by skin color.
00:12:37.000 Yes.
00:12:37.000 Boy, I feel like I'm reading a show prep document from the Charlie Kirchhoff.
00:12:41.000 It's good.
00:12:43.000 The FBI is spying on concerned parents who speak out at school board meetings.
00:12:47.000 Washington's economy is growing and America's economy is shrinking.
00:12:47.000 Yes.
00:12:51.000 Yes.
00:12:51.000 And lethal drugs are pouring into our country from China and our southern border.
00:12:55.000 Rick Scott, I got to say, that's a good diagnosis.
00:12:59.000 It's very good.
00:13:01.000 There's a couple things that I would add, such as corporate tyranny that he doesn't have in there, but he's close.
00:13:07.000 So here are the 11 promises by Rick Scott.
00:13:10.000 With Republicans in leadership, our kids will say the Pledge of Allegiance, salute the flag, and learn that America is a great country and choose the school that fits best for them.
00:13:20.000 Good.
00:13:21.000 Number two, government will never again ask American citizens to disclose their race, ethnicity, or skin color on any government form.
00:13:28.000 I love that.
00:13:29.000 Three, the soft on crime days of coddling criminal behavior will end.
00:13:34.000 We will refund and respect the police because they, not criminals, are the good guys.
00:13:38.000 Four, we'll secure our border, finish building the wall, and naming it after Donald Trump.
00:13:43.000 I love it.
00:13:44.000 Number five, we will grow American's economy, starve Washington's economy, and stop socialism.
00:13:48.000 A little generic, a little light there, but philosophically on point.
00:13:52.000 Six, we'll eliminate all federal programs that can be done locally and enact term limits for federal bureaucrats and Congress.
00:13:59.000 I like that.
00:14:00.000 Seven, we will protect the integrity of American democracy and stop left-wing efforts to rig our elections.
00:14:07.000 Good.
00:14:09.000 We'll promote and defend the American family at all costs.
00:14:12.000 Yes.
00:14:13.000 Nine, men are men, women are women, and unborn babies are babies.
00:14:19.000 We believe in science.
00:14:22.000 America 10.
00:14:23.000 Americans will be free to welcome God into all aspects of our lives.
00:14:27.000 And 11, we are Americans, not globalists.
00:14:32.000 Americans will be dependent on no other country.
00:14:35.000 We will conduct no trade that takes away jobs or displaces American workers.
00:14:39.000 Countries who oppose us at the UN will get zero financial help from us.
00:14:43.000 We will be energy independent and build supply chains that will rely on our adversaries.
00:14:47.000 So I can go through this in greater detail.
00:14:49.000 This is a phenomenal 11-point plan.
00:14:52.000 Where was this 11-point plan when Trump took office in 2017?
00:14:56.000 Answer: The transformation of the Republican Party was just starting then.
00:15:00.000 This is a nationalist, pro-worker, pro-family, pro-American party.
00:15:05.000 And Rick Scott, I think, did a very good job of articulating that.
00:15:10.000 If this is the direction the Republican Party is going to continue to do from leadership and go from leadership, the country has a shot.
00:15:18.000 You guys can check this out at rescueamerica.com.
00:15:22.000 He's talking about the right things.
00:15:24.000 I know a lot of people say, oh, it's just talk.
00:15:26.000 Well, talk is what you need before action, but it's a good start.
00:15:32.000 Look, there's so much political pressure out there from the left and the woke mob, and it's from the Democrat Party.
00:15:37.000 Our society has ultimately been controlled by canceled cultural elites.
00:15:42.000 We talk openly on this program about what you need to do.
00:15:47.000 And so I am involved.
00:15:48.000 I am invested personally and also through the Charlie Kirk show to try to do everything we possibly can to try and push back against these Democrats and their lies.
00:15:58.000 You can get a signed picture by President Trump himself.
00:16:01.000 Look, I vetted this.
00:16:02.000 It's terrific.
00:16:03.000 And not only will you be taking a stand against the radical left, you'll be entering the winning piece of history itself.
00:16:09.000 All you have to do is text the word victory to 55404 today to enter.
00:16:14.000 That's VICTORY to 55404.
00:16:18.000 Join me in standing up for President Trump and canceling the radical left.
00:16:22.000 Look, here's what we're really doing, though.
00:16:23.000 We're building a grassroots army to push back to try to win the Senate race in Georgia, try to win the Senate race in Arizona.
00:16:29.000 This is paid for by the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
00:16:32.000 And I could tell you this: we have got to retire Chuck Schumer.
00:16:35.000 Text right now to win a signed picture with President Trump, V-I-C-T-O-R-Y-55404.
00:16:42.000 Take out your phone right now, free of charge.
00:16:44.000 VIC-T-O-R-Y-5-5-404.
00:16:51.000 Joe Biden just announced the Schmerlu sanctions on Ukraine.
00:16:56.000 Not really sure what that was all about.
00:16:59.000 He kept slurring his words, which you guys can have your own interpretation for that.
00:17:05.000 I just want to reiterate this point, though.
00:17:07.000 The reason why Putin feels so empowered is because of Biden's war on domestic energy.
00:17:15.000 I don't think we should get involved in Ukraine.
00:17:16.000 I think it's a waste of time.
00:17:18.000 We have so many things happening here in our country.
00:17:19.000 We've said that repeatedly.
00:17:21.000 But one thing I can agree with establishment Republicans on and warmonger Republicans is none of this would be an issue if we allowed domestic exploration of our own assets.
00:17:36.000 On Thursday, I will be speaking at the legendary Conservative Political Action Conference, which is a phenomenal gathering and organization run by my friend who's with us right now, Matt Schlapp, the chairman of CPAC, and I will be there midday Thursday.
00:17:55.000 Matt, welcome back to the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:17:58.000 Great to be with you again, Charlie.
00:17:59.000 Matt, how's it looking for this year?
00:18:01.000 I bet record numbers.
00:18:03.000 Tell me.
00:18:04.000 Well, I think that's the case.
00:18:06.000 You know what it's like to have a conference with record numbers, but what I always notice, I know that we're doing well when the media starts turning on us quickly.
00:18:14.000 And, you know, we had a lot of attacks already.
00:18:18.000 What's strange, Charlie?
00:18:20.000 We get attacks from the right and the left.
00:18:20.000 You'll get this.
00:18:22.000 It seems like the right is never happy with the decisions we make.
00:18:26.000 And of course, the left would like just to put us all in prison, a la Canada.
00:18:31.000 So we must be doing something right because everything's kind of exploding.
00:18:36.000 Well, you guys do an amazing job.
00:18:38.000 Honored to speak there.
00:18:39.000 So tell us about some of the big headliners that you guys have.
00:18:42.000 And what's the message of this year's CPAC?
00:18:45.000 Yeah, thanks for coming, Charlie.
00:18:46.000 You're going to be speaking, I believe, twice on Thursday.
00:18:49.000 You're going to be a part of a tribute to Andrew Breitbart, the 10th anniversary of his death.
00:18:54.000 That panel is called War from his famous comments about what the left really wants to do to all of us and to our culture.
00:19:04.000 And you're also going to be giving a standalone speech, which I know people are excited to hear what your message is.
00:19:10.000 I'm going to ask you what your message is, but I'm first going to tell you that I had a hand in picking the theme of the conference because I've lived through all this crap like we all have over the last couple of years.
00:19:23.000 And our theme is awake, not woke.
00:19:24.000 To me, what establishment Republicans are missing is they think this is all about the economic situation, which is pretty bad, but it's bigger than that.
00:19:32.000 And I think this whole the death of woke and woke on trial in November is what it's all about.
00:19:38.000 Well, that's phenomenal.
00:19:39.000 I love that.
00:19:40.000 And you have a great way of framing the tone and the message to really kind of fit where the country's at.
00:19:45.000 You're not really sure what I'm going to talk about.
00:19:47.000 I think kind of a theme, Matt, that I'm going to play on.
00:19:49.000 I know something that you're focusing on through the breakouts and other things is the rise of the citizen and the collapse of the regime.
00:19:56.000 Is we're starting to see regular everyday people rise up.
00:19:59.000 Talk a little bit about that, Matt, at CPAC.
00:20:01.000 You see people from all across the planet come.
00:20:03.000 I'm guessing you guys are almost sold out, if not sold out already.
00:20:06.000 But these are everyday normal people, moms and dads, and parents that show up to school board meetings, students as well.
00:20:13.000 It's a gathering of regular, everyday grassroots Americans that are able to congregate, gather, and be encouraged towards action.
00:20:23.000 So, as far as the sellout part of it, it's hard for me to ever get to selling out because I'm always trying to figure out a way to cram.
00:20:23.000 Yeah.
00:20:31.000 You understand this: 10 people here, 25 people there, because they have a right to be able to hear from these great leaders and speakers.
00:20:38.000 And we got the biggest ballroom in Florida.
00:20:41.000 On command of the president, he told me, Hey, Matt, you can do a little better than at Hyatt.
00:20:45.000 And we don't like that Hyatt too much.
00:20:47.000 I don't like that.
00:20:47.000 So we did do it.
00:20:48.000 That's right.
00:20:49.000 We do not like them.
00:20:50.000 And I learned the hard way, Charlie.
00:20:52.000 I've realized now you really can't do a conservative.
00:20:55.000 It's not really a conservative conference.
00:20:57.000 It's a conference about America.
00:20:58.000 It's a conference about the Constitution.
00:21:00.000 You can't do that in hotels that will cancel you.
00:21:04.000 And they try to do that to us.
00:21:05.000 And so, you know, we're going to a hotel that's friendly territory or at least just apolitical.
00:21:10.000 That'd be nice, right?
00:21:10.000 How about that?
00:21:13.000 And so the crowd will be great.
00:21:15.000 And I do agree with you about this idea of citizens.
00:21:18.000 We have a woman coming from Miami who runs a couple of schools and outlawed CRT in her schools and doesn't follow any mask mandates ever, never did, no vax mandates.
00:21:29.000 And she's a real hero, I believe.
00:21:31.000 We have people who took back their school boards in Texas and exposed the idea that parents are not domestic terrorists.
00:21:39.000 We have business people who are coming forward who are saying, you know, wokeism is destroying, woke incorporated is destroying what we understand to be the free market system in America.
00:21:50.000 So, yeah, I agree with you.
00:21:51.000 It's like, I love all the senators and the congressmen and the governors, and we have great ones.
00:21:55.000 But really, this is a moment for citizens to stand up.
00:21:58.000 So, if that's what you're going to talk about, I think it's really going to hit a chord.
00:22:01.000 And for me, what I've seen is everyone's too damn quiet.
00:22:07.000 Everyone is so worried that they'll get canceled personally that we're almost giving up the whole show because we're so scared of the ramifications on our individual lives.
00:22:16.000 That's exactly right.
00:22:18.000 Well, and that's part of what CPAC has always done and has done for me too for 10 years.
00:22:22.000 You guys have been always so generous and nice to give me a platform to be able to invigorate people and to be able to get the message out.
00:22:31.000 It's been phenomenal.
00:22:32.000 So, Matt, I want to shift gears a little bit just to talk with you personally.
00:22:35.000 You could talk on behalf of CPAC or not, however you want to navigate that about your book.
00:22:40.000 It's a great, it's a phenomenal book.
00:22:43.000 You and I have been talking about it for a little while.
00:22:44.000 It's called Really Defeating Cancel Culture: The Desecrators.
00:22:49.000 Talk about your book and why you wrote it.
00:22:52.000 I wrote the book because, quite honestly, my friend Deal Hudson flew out and saw me at CPAC and said, Hey, you need to write a book about what you and Mercy went through supporting Trump as an establishment, Bush Republicans in 2015 and 16.
00:23:06.000 And then Mercy went to work for President Trump, and I was an advisor on the outside, much like you were.
00:23:12.000 And, you know, what was that story like?
00:23:14.000 Because at the end of it, it was very hard for us to deal with the fact that we had very few friendships that remained.
00:23:21.000 I had very few commercial contacts that remained.
00:23:26.000 It was destruction.
00:23:27.000 And so as I saw this destruction going on in the country with Black Lives Matter violence, assassinating cops, burning down our cities, we were also facing this destruction in our own life where Mercy was and still is on assassination lists from these far left groups.
00:23:43.000 She's on lists that say she should never get a job again in America because she is too associated with Trump.
00:23:49.000 And as you know, Charlie, even being associated with Trump isn't easy because it's a, you know, it's a mixed group of folks that are inside that camp too.
00:23:57.000 So it's, it's a tough, it was a tough couple of years.
00:24:00.000 And it just kind of all poured out of me.
00:24:04.000 And I feel deal must feel the same way.
00:24:07.000 And it's a real call to arms.
00:24:09.000 It's not about me as much as it is about the country and our values.
00:24:14.000 And to understand that cancel culture is only the top level of the evil goes much deeper.
00:24:21.000 And the spiritual element to this cancel culture battle is why we call it the desecrators, because there's an attempt to destroy all goodness, all truth, everything that's holy, everything that's transcendent, the church, America, faith, gender, everything in life that builds culture, builds civilization, and creates human joy.
00:24:41.000 There's a coordinated attack on each and every one of those at the same time.
00:24:45.000 The book is called The Desecrators, Defeating the Cancel Culture Mob and Reclaiming One Nation Under God.
00:24:50.000 Go buy a couple of copies and then go get Matt to sign it at CPAC.
00:24:53.000 Go find him.
00:24:54.000 He'll probably be running in between interviews.
00:24:56.000 So, Matt, I want to ask you personally, just where do you think the state of the Republican Party is?
00:25:00.000 We had you on about a year ago, right before CPAC, and we were both pretty fired up that too many Republicans seemed uninterested in fixing our elections.
00:25:09.000 The lack of any sort of infrastructure post-election to be able to actually fight for election integrity.
00:25:14.000 You were on the front lines in Nevada.
00:25:15.000 You did a great job despite kind of the last minute operation there, which obviously wasn't on you.
00:25:20.000 It was just based on the lack of that from the campaign.
00:25:23.000 What's the state of the Republican Party right now?
00:25:26.000 That's a great question.
00:25:27.000 I think that these committees still have a role to play.
00:25:31.000 They're an important finance arm for the party.
00:25:36.000 But the real question is, why is the left able to raise so much more money and use nonprofits in new and innovative ways?
00:25:44.000 They never seem to get into any legal trouble and really swamp us.
00:25:49.000 And that's what the last election showed.
00:25:51.000 It wasn't that Joe Biden or the DNC raised a whole bunch of money.
00:25:56.000 It was that Mark Zuckerberg and all the Zuckerbucks, others, they raised about $500 million to sway the election.
00:26:04.000 All that money flowed through nonprofits.
00:26:07.000 So when you look at the amount of money the left is pushing through nonprofits, we have two choices.
00:26:12.000 We can get power again and try to curtail what some might argue is a misuse of nonprofits, or we could do the exact same thing.
00:26:21.000 And I think that's what we have to learn to do more of is to break our old ways of doing things.
00:26:27.000 And if the left is going to do something and the government won't prosecute them because they think it's lawful, well, we need to, we need to mimic them, which is why at ACU we started this First Amendment fund to help pay for the legal expenses or defend the constitutional rights of those who are being canceled left and right.
00:26:45.000 We mimicked that off of the NAACP fund to uphold the constitutional rights of people of color.
00:26:53.000 And so I think we have to learn from their tricks and hopefully we'll outmaneuver them and they'll have to learn from our tricks.
00:26:58.000 But if we keep doing the same thing, we're going to keep winding up in the same hole.
00:27:03.000 What do you anticipate from Republicans heading into this election cycle?
00:27:08.000 CPAC actually is kind of the beginning of the midterms.
00:27:10.000 I think we could say that.
00:27:11.000 I mean, it's really kind of a starting point.
00:27:13.000 You're going to see a lot of the different messages being shared.
00:27:16.000 It'll be really instructive.
00:27:18.000 Kind of connect that with what do you think the Republican message going into November is going to be if we want to win?
00:27:24.000 I think it is the starting point of the midterms.
00:27:28.000 And look, I think a lot of outsiders are going to win, Charlie.
00:27:30.000 I think this kind of Donald Trump phenomenon is going to keep happening.
00:27:34.000 And I think we're going to win almost every close race, even in tough states, because I think woke is on trial and I think it's incredibly unpopular.
00:27:43.000 And I think that when Republicans get majorities, I'd say the House majority is a dang near slam dunk.
00:27:50.000 The Senate is a little tougher because it's more incumbent on the candidate that emerges from these primaries.
00:27:56.000 But, you know, if we get this power and do the same thing we did the last couple of times with that power, I think the Republican Party will be done.
00:28:04.000 I think the Republican activists want to see us actually believe as deeply in the issues we campaign on as the left is.
00:28:11.000 And that when we get power, we go after their wrongdoing just as aggressively as they go after our fake wrongdoing.
00:28:18.000 And if we don't do that, then you and I need to get together and figure out how we're going to work politics in this country because it won't be through the Republican Party.
00:28:25.000 That's that's well said.
00:28:26.000 And you've been a really articulate critic, as have I.
00:28:29.000 And it's been really helpful to have to have you say that because we have to keep the pressure on the Republican Party.
00:28:36.000 I'm losing patience with them in a lot of different ways, but I hope it's fixable within the party apparatus as it is.
00:28:43.000 We will be at CPAC.
00:28:44.000 And boy, Matt, you must be there already in 48 hours.
00:28:48.000 I will be.
00:28:49.000 I'm leaving this interview, Charlie, to go hop a fly to Reagan Airport and we get started tomorrow morning.
00:28:57.000 And it's exciting.
00:28:58.000 As you know, it's tiring.
00:29:00.000 The best part of all these conferences are the wonderful Americans who come.
00:29:00.000 It's exciting.
00:29:04.000 Amen.
00:29:07.000 Look, meat is hard to come by right now.
00:29:09.000 And you might get meat from overseas.
00:29:11.000 And look, 85% of grass-fed beef in stores and online is imported.
00:29:15.000 Don't pay a premium for low-quality foreign meat.
00:29:17.000 So look, when the box of good ranchers comes to our office, it's a feeding frenzy.
00:29:21.000 Producer Connor, he gets his elbows out.
00:29:23.000 He gets people to get out of the way, is what Producer Connor says.
00:29:26.000 He gets the fresh cuts, 100% American meat, T-Bones, New York strips, ribeyes.
00:29:30.000 In fact, Producer Connor was doing an Instagram live stream and he was grilling T-bones, New York strips, and all sorts of different types of things.
00:29:39.000 Producer Andrew fed his entire family with good ranchers and it actually mended fences.
00:29:44.000 It was people in his family that otherwise would have been very politically divided.
00:29:47.000 Good Ranchers brings families together.

00:30:46.000 Goodranchers.com/slash Charlie.
00:30:51.000 Matt, you know, talk a little bit about how at CPAC, you have the different components of the movement.
00:30:57.000 I'm always struck by how welcoming it is.
00:30:59.000 Libertarians, traditional conservatives, you don't allow the rhinos.
00:31:04.000 I remember last year or the year before, you uninvited Mitt Romney or you didn't allow him at all.
00:31:08.000 Talk a little bit about how all the different components are, but also, Matt, talk about you got to draw some lines sometimes.
00:31:13.000 Sometimes it's like, you know what?
00:31:14.000 You're really not with us.
00:31:16.000 Yeah, you know, I'm pretty libertarian about things.
00:31:20.000 When I became in charge of CPAC, I thought, well, we'll just kind of let everyone speak.
00:31:24.000 And, you know, I was kind of naive.
00:31:26.000 We'll let everyone get a booth and what's the big deal.
00:31:28.000 And I realized over time that there are divisions and I'm a unifying person generally, but not to a point.
00:31:37.000 And we have to draw certain lines.
00:31:39.000 And I think establishment, Republican leadership, et cetera, just assumed that they could drop in at CPAC.
00:31:46.000 And everyone uses and misuses this word conservative.
00:31:50.000 They were a conservative.
00:31:51.000 So we kind of looked at our ratings and we said, hey, we got to get tougher on these ratings because it's true, every Republican has like a great score, but they're never there on the votes that really matter.
00:32:00.000 So we looked at that and we started using the scorecard to invite members and a lot of members fell off the list and they're kind of sore about it.
00:32:08.000 And it's kind of simple.
00:32:09.000 You know, if you, Ronald Reagan said, if you're, if you're with me 80% of the time, you're with my eight, you're, you're my 80% friend.
00:32:17.000 But if you can't be with us 80% of the time, you kind of suck, Charlie.
00:32:21.000 And you probably shouldn't get a spotlight at CPAC.
00:32:24.000 I couldn't agree more.
00:32:26.000 So your keynote, if you could call it that, I mean, kind of the speaker that will be the most attended speaker of all is, of course, President Trump.
00:32:35.000 Looks like he's going to run.
00:32:36.000 What does he need to do differently?
00:32:39.000 He needs to have a better team around him.
00:32:41.000 He had, I think, his re-elect campaign team was weak.
00:32:47.000 And I think not every member, there was plenty of good people there, like my spouse, but they weren't organized for the battle that laid ahead for them, including on all this illegal voting.
00:32:57.000 Yes.
00:32:58.000 And I also think that he, and I've talked to him about this, you probably have too.
00:33:04.000 He understands the game now of politics and Washington, D.C. a lot better than he did when he came in.
00:33:10.000 I think, quite honestly, him and his family were a little bit disdainful of Washington, D.C. because they had dominated New York City so well that they thought they would dominate Washington.
00:33:19.000 Washington is a mean place filled with people of mediocre talent, and they'll fight to the death to kill you.
00:33:24.000 And I think Donald Trump was getting killed in ways that he never saw coming.
00:33:28.000 And that's the evilness of the swamp.
00:33:30.000 And I think if he gets another chance in the swamp, I think he'll be ready on day one to pick the right kind of people and to know what they're up against.
00:33:37.000 So I'm hopeful that a second Trump term would begin the first moment on the right foot.
00:33:45.000 I think that's right.
00:33:46.000 And from day one, he would purge the intel agencies and all the things that we'd like to see him do.
00:33:52.000 And Matt, I'm encouraged by this new Rick Scott document.
00:33:56.000 I don't know if you saw it or not, but it's basically the Trump Party has kind of now become permanent.
00:34:01.000 Talk a little bit about that.
00:34:03.000 Yeah, look, I get this question all the time is, well, what does the Republican Party can be against Biden and against socialism?
00:34:10.000 Well, what are they for?
00:34:11.000 I would say, are you kidding me?
00:34:12.000 We gave you four years of what we're about and what we stand for.
00:34:16.000 We did, we accomplished more together under President Trump's leadership than any president I can ever remember or any leader I can remember.
00:34:24.000 The policies are right there.
00:34:25.000 If the Republican Party grab them and run on them, they will have one of the most overwhelming victories in November you could ever imagine.
00:34:33.000 Matt, can't wait to see you in sunny Florida.
00:34:36.000 Thank you for having us.
00:34:37.000 It's going to be amazing.
00:34:38.000 And Matt, again, is the author of The Desecrators, Defeating the Cancel Culture Mob and Reclaiming One Nation Under God.
00:34:45.000 It's going to be a packed time at CPAC.
00:34:47.000 You guys can get your tickets.
