00:01:22.000 So we all need extra protection for our immune systems.
00:01:25.000 My very good friend at Centurion Labs have combined five key ingredients to defend your immune system against allergies, colds, the flu, and even the coronavirus.
00:01:34.000 It's called Centurion Defender and incorporates vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc, copper, QCERTIN in just one capsule.

00:01:46.000 I'm currently taking one Defender with breakfast and one Defender with dinner and just keep living my life.
00:01:52.000 As you know, I'm a big believer in getting vitamin D levels up.

00:02:42.000 Thank you, Luke.
00:02:43.000 It's great to be here.
00:02:44.000 Please sit, everybody.
00:02:45.000 I want to tell you about Dream City Church, and Luke and Angel have heard me say this a couple times.
00:02:51.000 This is a very special church, and it is an unusual church in more ways than one.
00:02:57.000 I first got connected to Luke and Angel Barnett on a cross-country flight from Miami to Phoenix.
00:03:03.000 Now, by connected, I mean that Angel kept on coming back to the exit row, waiting for me to stop napping to try to say hello to me.
00:03:11.000 Relentlessness is a virtue.
00:03:13.000 I don't think it's a fruit of the spirit, but it's close.
00:03:17.000 And we connected and I came to service here, and I was so moved by this church and just how big the impact was in more ways than one.
00:03:26.000 And Luke and I really hit it off.
00:03:28.000 And so we were planning an event, and it wasn't like any sort of event in 2020.
00:03:34.000 Our organization, Turning Point USA, we had the opportunity to host the then president of the United States in Phoenix.
00:03:40.000 We only had a couple weeks' notice.
00:03:42.000 And I reached out to the Barnetts.
00:03:44.000 I said, hey, you know, can we rent out your facility and do the event here?
00:03:48.000 And they were enthusiastic in support of it.
00:03:51.000 And things, you know, started to, let's just say, escalate in the coming weeks.
00:03:56.000 It was during a lot of lockdowns.
00:03:58.000 We lost insurance.
00:03:59.000 The mayor said, Don't host the event.
00:04:01.000 A lot of things were happening at the moment.
00:04:04.000 And I remember getting a call from Angel, and I looked at the caller ID.
00:04:08.000 And I've never been so wrong in my life, and I'm proud to talk about it.
00:04:11.000 Where I turned to my team, I said, You guys see this right here?
00:04:14.000 This is them probably going to cancel our event because you get so used to it, right?
00:04:18.000 You get so used to people just kind of walking away, their knees start quivering.
00:04:22.000 I'm so sorry, Charlie, we're with you, but we're not really with you, and maybe we can help you find another place to do your event.
00:04:26.000 I've heard it so many times.
00:04:27.000 And I answered the phone call: I said, Hey, Angel, how are we doing?
00:04:31.000 Said, Charlie, we're under a lot of pressure.
00:04:33.000 Some staff are resigning.
00:04:34.000 People are walking out.
00:04:36.000 People are saying they're never coming to the church again.
00:04:38.000 And we can't wait to host the event at Dream City Church.
00:04:40.000 I said, I was.
00:04:51.000 And in the months that followed, and I was so blown away.
00:04:54.000 And I believe Dream City was blessed for that obedience, blessed for the courage.
00:04:59.000 And the months that followed, we had lunch, you know, not too far after when Luke had the horrible Boulder incident.
00:05:08.000 And I remember, it's a different story for every time, but we had this amazing lunch, and Luke was like, Hey, Charlie, I feel really moved to try to do something for our local area.
00:05:19.000 And it was just the perfect time to collaborate.
00:05:22.000 I said, Hey, why don't we do a monthly gathering at the church on Tuesday nights where we open it up to the whole community and talk about what's happening in the city and in the nation around us?
00:05:34.000 And so we started Freedom Night in America back in May of last year, not missing a month, and it has grown in attendance and influence.
00:05:41.000 And now I'm proud to say we've done it at Steve Smotherman's Church, we're doing it at Troy Maxwell's Church, and we're expanding it across the country.
00:05:49.000 And we'll dive more into what that actually means.
00:05:53.000 So, for those of you that might not follow the work that we do or kind of have any understanding what I focus on, my day job is focused on the second most important thing a human being can focus on.
00:06:08.000 So, whenever I say that, someone says, Well, what's the first thing?
00:06:10.000 Okay, the first thing is the most important thing.
00:06:13.000 The most important thing is winning souls for Jesus Christ, expanding the church, and spreading the gospel.
00:06:21.000 It's number one.
00:06:22.000 So, what's the second most important thing?
00:06:25.000 Make sure you could do the first thing.
00:06:29.000 Now, this gathering around us, we all have a certain type of privilege right now, not white privilege.
00:06:36.000 We have American privilege right now.
00:06:36.000 Nope.
00:06:39.000 Luke, try to do this conference in Ottawa right now.
00:06:45.000 We could have a truck parade maybe in Ottawa.
00:06:47.000 They're arresting pastors all across Canada because they have a different political document than we do.
00:06:53.000 And so, I have to be told by pastors, like, hey, we don't do politics, we don't do that.
00:06:56.000 I get it, it's messy, it's divisive, which always makes me chuckle.
00:06:59.000 They say, Yeah, we don't focus on divisive stuff at our church.
00:07:02.000 Well, do you mention eternity?
00:07:03.000 Because that can kind of be divisive.
00:07:06.000 Yeah, you're going to hell forever.
00:07:08.000 That's not divisive, though.
00:07:09.000 You know, it's we're here.
00:07:10.000 Okay, sure.
00:07:14.000 It's not divisive.
00:07:15.000 But no, look, I get it, it can be unclear at times.
00:07:18.000 Let's put it that way.
00:07:19.000 But I think there is a moment that's happening in the American church where I know that the Holy Spirit is speaking to so many pastors and church leaders right now in this audience who are like, You know what?
00:07:32.000 You're right.
00:07:33.000 The difference between having a government that is run by citizens or one that is run by unaccountable rulers is the difference between Justin Trudeau or Ron DeSantis.
00:07:45.000 And it directly impacts the American church.
00:07:47.000 So, Archer Pavlovsky, who's a pastor in Canada, has now been arrested multiple times for opening his church.
00:07:55.000 But it happens here in America as well.
00:07:57.000 Of mine, Pastor Mike McClure, San Jose, California, is facing $6 million in fines and personal seizures of his own property for opening the church.
00:08:06.000 You see, for years, we have done nothing as the church or done very little because we've believed the separation of church and state.
00:08:14.000 Now, I could get into that at a different time if you guys want.
00:08:17.000 It's actually not in the Constitution.
00:08:18.000 It's nowhere in the founding documents.
00:08:20.000 It's a single letter that Thomas Jefferson wrote to the Danbury Baptist Convention.
00:08:24.000 But let's pretend it's correct.
00:08:26.000 Let's just pretend for a second that is the law of the land and we should live under the separation of church and state.
00:08:32.000 Well, then let's keep the state out of the church.
00:08:35.000 What is it that a public health authority has the right to shut down a church?
00:08:40.000 Why does a bureaucrat we didn't vote for all of a sudden say, you know what?
00:08:43.000 You're not allowed to have Easter service.
00:08:48.000 It pains me how many millions of Americans, especially in places like New York and Los Angeles and Chicago, have not been able to go physically in church the last two years.
00:08:58.000 Now, some people say, well, Charlie, it's online.
00:09:00.000 Look, watching online church is like watching a fireplace on your TV, okay?
00:09:05.000 You get everything except the warmth.
00:09:09.000 Now, how deep do I need to dive into the scriptures?
00:09:12.000 Do not forsake the gathering of believers.
00:09:24.000 It matters.
00:09:25.000 Jürgen, you could go back to Australia right now.
00:09:28.000 I don't think you would have an open church.
00:09:29.000 You'd be in prison and it would be an amazing prison ministry.
00:09:33.000 I know it.
00:09:36.000 It's true.
00:09:37.000 The type of government you have matters.
00:09:39.000 And it's time for the church to talk about good government versus bad government.
00:09:42.000 Now, let me be very clear.
00:09:44.000 I'm not even going to mention political parties at all in this entire speech.
00:09:46.000 You can fill in the gaps, okay?
00:09:48.000 I'm not going to say one gap is better than the other.
00:09:50.000 I'm going to say right from wrong because the scriptures tell us right from wrong.
00:09:54.000 Now, some pastors will say, okay, Charlie, nowhere in the scriptures does it say we should care about that.
00:09:59.000 Well, the Lord, not anyone, not Paul, not Peter, the Lord in Jeremiah 29, 7 said, demand the welfare of the nation that you are in because your welfare is tied to the nation's welfare.
00:10:13.000 That's God speaking.
00:10:14.000 You are commanded to care about what's happening around you.
00:10:18.000 And so some people say, well, Charlie, it's unclear what the right way forward is.
00:10:23.000 I say, okay, well, you're a Christian.
00:10:24.000 You believe in the Bible.
00:10:25.000 Let's agree on maybe two basic things.
00:10:27.000 Let's start with this.
00:10:28.000 God created man and God created woman.
00:10:30.000 How about that?
00:10:31.000 Let's start with that.
00:10:33.000 And if the church can't take a stand on that issue, it's like, well, that's too controversial for us.
00:10:40.000 No, many, some pastors will say that.
00:10:42.000 And then we actually get to a deeper, more revealing point, which is if you believe the scriptures are the inerrant perfect word of God, then all of a sudden that shouldn't be that big of an issue.
00:10:53.000 But bad theology leads to bad politics.
00:10:57.000 If you believe the scriptures are just kind of, it's a suggestion manual, like that's a good starting point.
00:11:01.000 No, it's the word of God.
00:11:04.000 It is the beginning of the end.
00:11:05.000 It's the alpha and the omega.
00:11:06.000 It's not like, well, God created man and woman and these other 25 other genders that you could kind of have a fluid scale on.
00:11:14.000 No, it's actually really clear.
00:11:16.000 And if the church is not going to be the communicators of order in a chaotic world, then who?
00:11:22.000 So it's easy for the church to retreat.
00:11:24.000 And I get it.
00:11:25.000 I'm sure there's a thousand different eschatologies in the audience right now.
00:11:28.000 I'm not going to get into it, okay?
00:11:30.000 Charlie, you pre-trib or post-trib.
00:11:32.000 I don't get into that.
00:11:33.000 Okay, pantrib.
00:11:33.000 It's all going to pan.
00:11:34.000 Okay?
00:11:35.000 We'll figure it out later.
00:11:36.000 So I know I offended somebody by saying that.
00:11:37.000 Couldn't care less.
00:11:38.000 Okay.
00:11:39.000 My eschatology is very simple.
00:11:40.000 Occupy till he comes, and the hour and the day is unknown.
00:11:43.000 Okay?
00:11:44.000 Here's why it matters.
00:11:45.000 Some people say the world is ending.
00:11:47.000 Jesus is coming next Thursday.
00:11:49.000 It doesn't matter.
00:11:51.000 It's like Jesus is going to zap us up.
00:11:53.000 He's going to get us out of all this chaos.
00:11:55.000 It doesn't matter.
00:11:56.000 That is a temptation you cannot fall victim to.
00:12:00.000 Never does it say, like, hey, it looks like things aren't falling apart.
00:12:04.000 They're falling into place.
00:12:05.000 I can just kind of retreat to the hills.
00:12:06.000 House is on fire.
00:12:07.000 Let's get the kids out.
00:12:08.000 Well, if the house is on fire, why don't you put the fire out?
00:12:11.000 If things around you are deteriorating, if we have truth and light, we should be advancing that where it matters most, not running away from the fights and the battles that are happening around us.
00:12:22.000 Now, why do I mention the eschatology?
00:12:24.000 Because so many churches now say there's nothing we can do.
00:12:28.000 But instead, the scriptures tell us to fight for truth and righteousness and to expel the darkness from our land.
00:12:37.000 And so when you have, for example, in the state of Oregon, a teenager can get sexual reassignment surgery paid for by the taxpayers without parental consent, and the church is like, yeah, we don't take a stance on this, then what exactly are you taking a stance on that is significant?
00:12:54.000 Because without the church, who is going to call right from wrong?
00:12:59.000 Here's one of your thought crimes.
00:13:00.000 You guys can write this down.
00:13:01.000 Without a belief in God, right and wrong is merely an opinion.
00:13:06.000 Now you might say, well, Charlie, how can you say such a thing?
00:13:08.000 I visit college campuses and you don't.
00:13:10.000 When you don't believe in God, right and wrong is merely in an opinion.
00:13:14.000 If you go to Columbia, Yale, Stanford, UCLA, and you try to talk about morality, they say, well, that's just your morality.
00:13:20.000 My morality is I believe that I can do whatever I want, whatever I want to do it.
00:13:24.000 Absent the laws of nature and nature is God, as articulated in the Declaration of Independence, absent a divine truth giver, you are going to descend into moral and societal chaos.
00:13:36.000 And this is the struggle of the church right now because this is why I think so highly of Dream City and Troy and Steve Smotherman and Keith and so many people here because the easy way out in the last two years was to do what most American churches did.
00:13:54.000 So there are three types of churches and pastors in America.
00:13:57.000 First, I just want to reinforce the type that we should all want to be, the courageous church and pastor.
00:14:03.000 Okay?
00:14:03.000 That is the goal.
00:14:05.000 But it is very rare.
00:14:07.000 A vast majority of churches would quasi-apologize for even mentioning some of the things I just said.
00:14:14.000 They would do what I call the half-truth sermon.
00:14:16.000 You guys ever hear this sermon where they spend half the sermon apologizing in advance?
00:14:20.000 I know there's a lot of people out there that might disagree and that's fine and you might leave, but please don't throw things at me.
00:14:25.000 Don't leave.
00:14:25.000 Please keep tithing and offering.
00:14:26.000 And it's like, okay, I got it.
00:14:27.000 After about 30 minutes of half apologizing, if it's in the Bible, you have nothing to apologize for.
00:14:35.000 Courageous is the goal.
00:14:36.000 But the middle part, which I think is most pastors, and maybe this is one of you, maybe church leaders, is the uncertain.
00:14:44.000 Some would call them cowardly.
00:14:46.000 Some would call them confused.
00:14:48.000 I think that's a fair way to say it.
00:14:50.000 Where they say, Charlie, I know something's wrong.
00:14:53.000 I just don't know what to do about it.
00:14:56.000 I don't know how to make sense of all these different types of issues.
00:15:00.000 I have half of my church saying that critical race theory is terrible and the other half of my church that says it's the best thing ever.
00:15:07.000 And I have decided to just kind of do nothing and just preach the gospel.
00:15:13.000 I'm sure you've heard this one to 500, 1,000 times.
00:15:16.000 So the churches that do nothing have made a decision.
00:15:20.000 They have decided to tell their congregants, you don't matter enough to me for me to actually make sense of things that matter to you.
00:15:26.000 So let me make sense of this.
00:15:27.000 We have financial counseling ministries.
00:15:29.000 We have marriage ministries.
00:15:30.000 We have teenage youth ministries.
00:15:32.000 We have every type of ministry you can imagine.
00:15:35.000 But most churches do not even say to their congregants, like, hey, I can help make sense of that from a biblical perspective for you.
00:15:42.000 Because here's what it says to the mom that all of a sudden her 15-year-old daughter comes home and says, hey, I think I'm a man.
00:15:50.000 Which, by the way, is happening at an increasing rate.
00:15:52.000 40% of our nation's young people, according to Arizona Christian University, identify as LGBTQ, whatever.
00:16:00.000 And one in 10 in certain communities are transgender, according to the recent study.
00:16:06.000 But if the church says, yeah, we don't do that, then basically you're telling that teenage mom, go somewhere else to go find your morals.
00:16:13.000 And guess what?
00:16:13.000 They will.
00:16:14.000 They'll go to CNN.
00:16:16.000 They'll go to any, they'll go to Facebook, they'll go to Instagram.
00:16:19.000 The church is basically like, hey, we don't want to get engaged in this for whatever reason.
00:16:24.000 And the answer is very clear.
00:16:26.000 We all know this.
00:16:27.000 The answer is, unfortunately, too many churches have fallen in love with the business model of modern American Christian Incorporated.
00:16:35.000 Now, this is what's so amazing about Dream City.
00:16:38.000 Dream City is a big church.
00:16:40.000 Costs a lot to keep these lights on.
00:16:42.000 If they could take a stand on these issues, your church could take a stand on these issues, okay?
00:16:49.000 Because it's one of those things like, hey, I'm going to lose tithes and offerings.
00:16:55.000 Who cares?
00:16:58.000 We're going to lose attendance.
00:16:59.000 Refiners fire.
00:17:00.000 Gideon's army got smaller before they got stronger.
00:17:03.000 Who cares?
00:17:03.000 But here's the thing: it's all lies from the enemy.
00:17:06.000 It's all lies.
00:17:08.000 Every pastor that I know that has taken a stand last two years has more tithes, more offerings, more people attending.
00:17:15.000 They're taking more stances than ever before.
00:17:18.000 Every single church.
00:17:22.000 But then there's one more category we got to talk about, which is the complicit church.
00:17:27.000 Now, I struggle here.
00:17:28.000 I'll be very honest.
00:17:30.000 I got all my wonderful pastor friends that can help me through all this.
00:17:34.000 I struggle.
00:17:35.000 I struggle when a church flies the gay pride flag.
00:17:41.000 I struggle when a church has the big thing outside, Black Lives Matter, whatever.
00:17:46.000 I struggle with that.
00:17:49.000 I struggle when a church decides to be not confused, which I think we need to have loving encouragement and shepherd those people towards truth.
00:17:58.000 I struggle, though, when the church is actively complicit in a lot of these things.
00:18:04.000 Because you look at a lot of these different types of things.
00:18:06.000 I listened to one of these sermons the other day where a pastor in New York City said that the American church is the number one communicator and purveyor of racism in America.
00:18:16.000 The American church is what he said.
00:18:20.000 And I could go one after the other after the other.
00:18:23.000 And these sorts of pastors, unfortunately, I think have a couple of different things going on in these churches going on.
00:18:28.000 Number one, I don't think they were corrected early.
00:18:30.000 So this is a good kind of lesson for us.
00:18:32.000 If you see someone straying early, intervene.
00:18:36.000 If there was one lesson from COVID, it's early intervention matters.
00:18:40.000 And the same can exactly be said for bad theology and bad governmental views.
00:18:45.000 When someone says, hey, you know, Jesus was a socialist, be like, yeah, we got to get lunch like now.
00:18:51.000 Like, your schedule is done.
00:18:54.000 We got to get lunch now.
00:18:55.000 Or like, yeah, I just read an article for Huffington Post, and I think we should get rid of all private property and universal health care, and there's no genders, open up the borders, take the guns, shred the Constitution.
00:19:05.000 Thomas Jefferson's a racist, and I'm non-binary, and my pronouns are on it.
00:19:09.000 Like, yeah, again, like coffee now.
00:19:11.000 You intervene.
00:19:12.000 You do not allow lies to go in your life without you confronting them.
00:19:18.000 How many pastors that are in the woke crowd, how many pastors out there that were spewing this nonsense when people who love them let them continue to talk in a sea of lies?
00:19:29.000 Now, maybe they'll keep on going that way, but we have a moral obligation to lovingly correct these people.
00:19:36.000 And I know it's tempting.
00:19:37.000 Oh, I've wrote that pastor off.
00:19:39.000 I've wrote that church off.
00:19:40.000 I will say this: there's a lot of pastors that are privately seeking repentance for some of the stands they've took over the last couple years.
00:19:47.000 They are.
00:19:48.000 They look back like, man, what was I thinking?
00:19:50.000 What was I thinking saying that only vaccinated people are allowed in my church?
00:19:53.000 What was I thinking?
00:19:55.000 And they might feel so uncomfortable.
00:19:56.000 And what a great opportunity for us to offer forgiveness, right?
00:19:59.000 What a great opportunity for us to be like, I get it.
00:20:03.000 I know you misstepped, and you are forgiven.
00:20:05.000 And let's try to get you better educated so it doesn't happen again.
00:20:09.000 Now, that's one thing, but there's other ones that just dig in more.
00:20:12.000 And they just say, hey, you know what?
00:20:13.000 This church, we are going to be the woke church.
00:20:16.000 We are going to do all this sorts of things.
00:20:18.000 In fact, I could go peace, I could go example by example by example, but let me give you one example of it's in secular society, but it's still one that people are surprisingly silent on.
00:20:29.000 In the suburbs of Portland, they're opening up a new charter school in September, but only black kids are allowed to go to the charter school, right?
00:20:36.000 But they say it's separate but equal, so it's all good, right?
00:20:40.000 Now, you should, that should horrify you, right?
00:20:42.000 After Brown versus the Board of Education got rid of separate but equal.
00:20:46.000 Now, most of the churches in Portland wouldn't dare speak out against a black-only school because they say you're a racist if you dare hate the fact that we're using racism to try to get rid of the alleged racism that exists today.
00:20:58.000 Now, it's very simple.
00:20:59.000 Two verses.
00:21:00.000 In 1 Samuel, God does not care about the exterior.
00:21:02.000 He cares about that which's in the heart.
00:21:05.000 In the New Testament, very clear, neither slave nor Greek nor Jew.
00:21:08.000 We are all one in Christ Jesus.
00:21:11.000 And let me just say this.
00:21:13.000 If the church does not stand up against the institutional racism that is CRT, this is going to take over the entire country.
00:21:20.000 This is a moral obligation for us to stand up against the people that wish to put us back in the tribes, that wish to put us back into different corners and turn people against each other.

00:22:37.000 And so those are the three different types of categories.
00:22:39.000 Now, maybe you're listening to this and you're not quite doing what you think you need to do.
00:22:45.000 So let me just tell you more about what we've been able to partner with here at TPUSA Faith and what we're doing.
00:22:50.000 We're doing this once a month here in Phoenix.
00:22:52.000 I'm personally traveling the country to churches to try to inspire pastors and faith leaders to take stands on these topics and issues.
00:23:00.000 Here's the thing.
00:23:01.000 If you are not Creating biblical citizens, creating and educating biblical citizens, I believe you are allowing Satan to continue to gain territory in our country.
00:23:11.000 So, what is a biblical citizen?
00:23:13.000 Learning about the documents, learning about the Federalist Papers, learning about the Ten Amendments, learning about the founding of our country, knowing about your rights and what you can do about it.
00:23:22.000 Diving deep into these.
00:23:23.000 Again, it doesn't have to be a political thing, but if you have someone in your church who's like, oh, yeah, I don't like the fact that we're going to be talking about the Constitution.
00:23:30.000 I think at some point you've got to be willing to let a little bit go to go gain a lot.
00:23:35.000 And so, what we are doing, and we have a table out here that I want to encourage all of you guys to go out to, our TPUSA table.
00:23:41.000 I'm going to go, I'm actually going to go there after this speech to go speak with you guys and just, you know, meet you with you guys, is we're trying to create a buffet line in kind of a metaphorical buffet line in conjunction with a lot of people here, which is, hey, you want a go-to sermon on these 10 topics?
00:23:56.000 Here you go.
00:23:58.000 You want to get connected with 20 other pastors that are also going through the same things you're going through?
00:24:02.000 Here you go.
00:24:03.000 And this is the type of resource network.
00:24:04.000 There are so many church leaders and pastors that feel as if they're alone.
00:24:08.000 Like, well, I'm the only pastor in this city that's taking a stance on this.
00:24:11.000 It's like, actually, we might know four or five other people.
00:24:14.000 But the point is this: that courage will spread once you start to take that stand.
00:24:19.000 That courage will spread like a wildfire.
00:24:22.000 And understand, at the end of it, you are contesting for liberty.
00:24:26.000 And liberty is not man's idea.
00:24:29.000 It is God's idea.
00:24:30.000 And once you start to get your congregation to drink from the streams of liberty, people are going to want to know its source.
00:24:37.000 And do you want to know the amazing thing that we started to do here at Freedom Night in America?
00:24:40.000 And Pastor Luke will attest to this.
00:24:43.000 We have been able to pinpoint hundreds of people that now attend Freedom Night in America that were not going to church at all.
00:24:49.000 This is a ministry opportunity for you.
00:24:51.000 This is an opportunity for you to open up the doors of your church to people that believe in the Constitution.
00:24:56.000 They believe in our history.
00:24:57.000 They know something's wrong with the country.
00:24:58.000 And guess what?
00:24:59.000 You have to go to church.
00:25:00.000 You got to hear a direct call to Jesus and you got to hear kind of a sermon type message and then we can get into it.
00:25:06.000 And all of a sudden, we have people giving their life to the Lord in record numbers.
00:25:08.000 It's the opposite of what we were taught, right?
00:25:10.000 We were taught if you take stances on these issues, you're going to turn people off.
00:25:14.000 When in reality, like, oh, wow, there's 72 million people in this country that believe in liberty in one way or the other.
00:25:19.000 What's the church doing to reach out to them every single day?
00:25:21.000 What's the church doing to say, hey, at least we have something in common?
00:25:24.000 We believe rights are naturally granted by God, not by government.
00:25:27.000 How are we reaching out to those people to do the most important thing, which is bring them to Jesus?
00:25:32.000 And what we're finding is churches that are taking these stands, they're expanding in such record numbers and amazing capacity and strengthening from the bottom up.
00:25:42.000 And so we look at the scriptures, we look at Daniel, Jeremiah, Nehemiah, Esther, and Mordecai, all people that took stands for God in secular government.
00:25:53.000 There are many more examples beyond that.
00:25:55.000 But we must take a step back as the church and ask ourselves, why is it that we live and we still do live in the freest country on the planet?
00:26:04.000 Is it because of our documents?
00:26:06.000 Our documents are great.
00:26:08.000 It's part of it.
00:26:09.000 But if you just take the U.S. Constitution and you put it into a random country, it doesn't mean anything.
00:26:14.000 We tried it in Iraq.
00:26:17.000 And it's like, okay, the Constitution, I can't do self-government here because I don't have the history.
00:26:23.000 I don't have the culture that can kind of mesh with it.
00:26:25.000 So what is it that made America the most prosperous, wealthy, and generous country in the history of the world?
00:26:33.000 And this is something where all of a sudden we say, oh, well, first of all, it was the church that founded America.
00:26:37.000 Let me say that again.
00:26:38.000 It was the church that founded America.
00:26:40.000 Now, a lot of the secular historians that you might send your kids to college with will disagree with that.
00:26:45.000 Jonathan Whitfield to Jonathan Edwards, George Whitfield, the Jonathan Edwards, the Jonathan Mayhew, were the American founding pastors that preached in the American colonies that laid the philosophical and moral foundation that led to the founding of this country.
00:27:01.000 It was a great awakening that led to the American Revolution of people that were saying, I want liberty.
00:27:06.000 I no longer want to live under King George.
00:27:09.000 Now, that was the first moment in American history.
00:27:13.000 The second, of course, was the church rose up in the 1820s when America was slipping a little bit.
00:27:19.000 Moral decline, widespread alcoholism, questionable behavior.
00:27:22.000 It was the church that aggressively inserted itself to make sure America did not fall.
00:27:28.000 I want you to think of it almost as a trust fall, right?
00:27:31.000 America goes into a trust fall.
00:27:33.000 The only institution that has successfully ever caught America when it's falling is the church, the only institution.
00:27:39.000 In the 1860s, when America was tearing itself apart, it was the church that was the administration of healing and for abolishing slavery.
00:27:49.000 How about in the 1950s?
00:27:51.000 Someone that all of us will agree was probably one of the greatest communicators and pastors in American history.
00:27:57.000 He himself said, quote, communism is the religion of Satan.
00:28:04.000 How many of you would feel uncomfortable saying that today?
00:28:06.000 Probably a lot.
00:28:07.000 Billy Graham said that 500 times in 1953, 1954, and 1955.
00:28:13.000 He said, I will not allow, as a Bible-believing, spirit-filled Christian to allow my kids and grandkids to live in a secular communist society while the word of God is under assault in the spiritual domain.
00:28:24.000 If Billy Graham can talk about this, you could talk about this.
00:28:30.000 Every time America falls, it is the church that brings it back into alignment.
00:28:36.000 Now, some of you might say, I don't care.
00:28:38.000 I get these messages all the time.
00:28:39.000 I don't care.
00:28:40.000 I'm going to ignore Jeremiah 29, 7.
00:28:42.000 I'm going to ignore the pray for leaders by name in 1 Timothy.
00:28:45.000 I don't care.
00:28:46.000 I'm going to do whatever.
00:28:47.000 We're just going to kind of do our thing, and we're not going to get involved.
00:28:50.000 That's what we would call imprudent.
00:28:53.000 Imagine the world without America.
00:28:55.000 What's the gospel look like without America?
00:28:58.000 The answer is very simple.
00:28:59.000 And every Christian got to get really educated on this.
00:29:02.000 It's called the Great Reset of the World Economic Forum.
00:29:05.000 Now, some people say, well, Charlie, this is end time stuff.
00:29:08.000 Where does it ever say you should try to bring the end times forward?
00:29:13.000 Like, oh, no, no.
00:29:14.000 Yeah, we should try to accelerate the great reset so we can get zapped up.
00:29:17.000 So you get to face your creator.
00:29:19.000 Like, yeah, yeah, you know, I wanted it to happen so that I wanted the suffering to actually accelerate.
00:29:24.000 This is the argument that some people make when they say that.
00:29:26.000 Borderless society, godless society, no private property, no rights.
00:29:30.000 I want you to imagine this.
00:29:31.000 Imagine like Justin Trudeau with a lot more power.
00:29:34.000 Okay?
00:29:35.000 Now, some people say, well, Charlie, we can't challenge our government because in Romans 13, it says that we must submit to our government authorities.
00:29:44.000 How many of you heard this argument at least 10 times in the last two years?
00:29:47.000 Yeah, all the time.
00:29:48.000 So this is what happens when pastors don't know civics.
00:29:54.000 I'm going to say this lovingly, okay?
00:29:56.000 Most pastors know nothing about civics.
00:29:58.000 They might know a lot about theology, they know nothing about civics.
00:30:01.000 Okay.
00:30:01.000 Well, it says we must submit to our government rulers.
00:30:05.000 Okay.
00:30:05.000 Who's the rulers in America?
00:30:08.000 The people.
00:30:08.000 So they must submit to us.
00:30:11.000 We don't submit to them.
00:30:12.000 The governors submit to us.
00:30:14.000 They are violating Romans 13.
00:30:16.000 We are not violating Romans 13.
00:30:19.000 Only a constitutional republic would give dissent to be the biblically sound thing to do.
00:30:26.000 They're representatives, not rulers.
00:30:28.000 We're the rulers.
00:30:29.000 We're the sovereign.
00:30:30.000 What you have seen in the last couple years from the governor of New Mexico, still can't remember her name, to Governor Newsome or whatever, they're in violation of this.
00:30:40.000 But so many churches were paralyzed, like we can't open because we want to be compliant with Romans 13.
00:30:45.000 Read the first three words of the U.S. Constitution.
00:30:49.000 It does not say we the bureaucrats, we the public health officials, we the rulers that are untouchable.
00:30:56.000 It's we, the people, and when our rights are violated, then we have a moral obligation to push back.
00:31:04.000 Let me close with this.
00:31:06.000 And then we're going to call up Pastor Luke and Pastor Juergen and Pastor Steve for a QA.
00:31:11.000 And the reason is, all three of these men, I've spoken at least three to four times at their churches in the last year.
00:31:16.000 We are having massive crowds of new people coming to the church.
00:31:20.000 They're all doing a version of Freedom Night in America at their wonderful church.
00:31:24.000 And we want to try to encourage you to do the same.
00:31:28.000 We want this movement to spread like wildfire to your churches.
00:31:31.000 And again, it's not about right versus left or political parties.
00:31:35.000 It's very simple.
00:31:36.000 Are you going to equip your congregates and your fellow believers in Christ to be biblical citizens?
00:31:43.000 And at the end of the bottom of this, which is we know at the basis, this is a spiritual battle.
00:31:48.000 We know it.
00:31:49.000 We know that the invisible is now impacting the visible.
00:31:53.000 So if we know that, then the church must be willing to launch the most aggressive counterattack spiritually that we've ever seen in our nation's history.
00:32:04.000 But here's the good news, everybody.
00:32:06.000 I know I've been kind of somewhat lovingly critical.
00:32:08.000 Is that fair?
00:32:10.000 Okay.
00:32:11.000 They said I could go even further.
00:32:12.000 I think we're good.
00:32:12.000 I think we're good.
00:32:13.000 So, which is this: you are living through a massive political, governmental, economic, and spiritual realignment that will be one of the greatest moments in the history of humanity.
00:32:29.000 You are seeing media companies that once seemed to be untouchable shatter into a million pieces in front of you.
00:32:34.000 You are seeing tech companies that seem to be once untouchable be confused and disarray.
00:32:39.000 It is the Genesis 11 moment of Tower of Babel.
00:32:43.000 That which tries to build to challenge God, He will scatter into places of confusion.
00:32:56.000 And the regime, as I call it, which is a kind of set of forces all together, is starting to crumble.
00:33:03.000 You're seeing it all around you.
00:33:06.000 And Europe, you might be a pastor right now and you might be on the fence, but here's what I could tell you: your congregants right now, they're fighting for their liberty every single day.
00:33:15.000 I guarantee you, if you're hearing this and you have not yet spoken about this or you've not done it the way that you probably might, and I was like, I don't know.
00:33:21.000 I guarantee you, your congregates are showing up to school board meetings.
00:33:24.000 Your congregants are now deciding to homeschool and they are fighting for liberty.
00:33:29.000 And deep down, they are praying.
00:33:31.000 And they say, I just want for one Sunday a year for my pastor to give me just a minute of affirmation to say, Good for you.
00:33:40.000 You're standing up against tyranny.
00:33:41.000 You're pushing back against the bad guys.
00:33:43.000 You're doing the right thing.
00:33:45.000 And you could this Sunday, next Sunday, next month, three months from now, be the spark plug that could give your congregants the reinforcement and the encouragement they need to be informed and active citizens.
00:33:58.000 So the regime as we know it right now is falling apart and the citizen is rising.
00:34:05.000 There's only a couple ways human beings can live under government.
00:34:11.000 You can live as a serf, you can live as a subject, you can live as a slave, or you can live as a citizen.
00:34:18.000 Citizenship is a very unique thing.
00:34:20.000 It is a biblical idea, by the way.
00:34:23.000 The first functioning nation of citizens was the nation of Israel.
00:34:27.000 No prison, no police force.
00:34:29.000 The law was the center of their community and they enforced it themselves.
00:34:33.000 Those are citizens.
00:34:35.000 Because they were once slaves.
00:34:37.000 They were slaves in Egypt.
00:34:39.000 And that tension between human nature and what God wants for us, God does not want you to live in slavery.
00:34:44.000 He will deliver you from slavery.
00:34:46.000 He wants you to live as a citizen.
00:34:47.000 He wants you to live as informed.
00:34:49.000 He wants you to know what's happening around you.
00:34:51.000 He doesn't want you to be in Egypt just because the meat is better.
00:34:58.000 And that's what they said.
00:34:59.000 They said, Who's this Moses guy who delivered us from slavery?
00:35:02.000 Take us back to Egypt, despite the fact that quail's getting blown off course and man is coming from heaven.
00:35:08.000 At least we ate meat in Egypt.
00:35:10.000 What am I getting at?
00:35:11.000 Liberty can be uncomfortable.
00:35:14.000 It's easier to just go make bricks all day in the sun, eat meat, go to bed, and do it all over again.
00:35:19.000 It's easier to do that.
00:35:21.000 But God doesn't want you for that.
00:35:23.000 The message of the gospels is to set the captives free, free from the stranglehold of Satan, free from addiction, free from alcoholism, free from tyranny, free from bad politics and bad government, and to set the people free.
00:35:36.000 And every single one of us have not just an opportunity, but dare I say, we have a commandment to do so.
00:35:44.000 And it is a spiritual war raging around all of us.
00:35:46.000 So all of you, most of you, you're focused on the first thing, and you should bring people to Jesus.
00:35:51.000 It's awesome.
00:35:52.000 I talk about Jesus at least once a week in my podcast, and we're bringing people to Jesus.
00:35:56.000 But that is not my full-time job.
00:35:58.000 I do that when I can.
00:36:00.000 But I'm going to keep on staying in the second most important thing.
00:36:03.000 But here's my challenge to you: dedicate a little bit, a fraction, a minuscule, a decimal of your energy, your resources in the second thing.
00:36:13.000 Because if there is no second thing, then there will be no first thing.
00:36:18.000 And that's my challenge to all of you.
00:36:19.000 Thank you, guys.
