The Charlie Kirk Show - Ask Charlie Anything 47: EVERY Joe Biden Executive Order Explained

00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, today on the Ask Me Anything episode, which of course is brought to you by those of you that support us at charliekirk.com slash support, I go through all 30, that's right, all 30 of Joe Biden's executive actions and executive orders.

00:00:13.000 If you guys have not been watching the news, tuned out completely and you're like, what's been happening?

00:00:18.000 How bad is it?

00:00:18.000 Give me the damage report.

00:00:20.000 I go through it piece by piece, language by language, the good, the badly, the insane, and the awful.

00:00:26.000 We go through it all.

00:00:27.000 Joe Biden's 30 executive actions and orders, the transgender debate, where do we get information from, and what kind of immigration policy should we actually have for our country.

00:00:38.000 All of that is addressed and so much more. 0.99

00:00:41.000 Buckle up, everybody.

00:00:42.000 Here we go.

00:00:44.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.

00:01:13.000 That's why we are here.

00:01:16.000 The Chinese coronavirus has changed the way a lot of businesses operate.

00:01:20.000 We spend more time on video calls, email, and in-chat discussions.

00:01:23.000 Unfortunately, many of these conversations aren't as safe or as private as we think they are.

00:01:28.000 Interference from foreign governments, hackers, and third-party advertisers mean that our private beliefs, ideas, and intellectual property are being shared, spied, and stored.

00:02:17.000 Hey, everybody.

00:02:17.000 Happy Monday.

00:02:18.000 Welcome to this episode of Ask Me Anything.

00:02:21.000 I'm taking your questions that you have emailed us, freedom at charliekirk.com.

00:02:25.000 If I answer your question, you get a signed copy of the MAGA doctrine because you've also asked the question and show us your subscribe to the Charlie Kirk Show.

00:02:34.000 As I am doing this episode, we are the fourth podcast in Apple News Podcasts, and we are eighth overall.

00:02:42.000 Thank you guys for subscribing to the Charlie Kirk Show.

00:02:45.000 And if you can get one friend to also subscribe to the Charlie Kirk show, just send him a link to this and say, hey, hit that subscribe button, listen to this.

00:02:51.000 That would really bless us.

00:02:52.000 Thank you guys so much.

00:02:53.000 So here's the first question.

00:02:54.000 Joe Biden has thus governed in accordance with what seems like unitary executive theory, which I thought Democrats are opposed to with his 30-plus executive orders in the first three days of the White House.

00:03:05.000 Now, let me just stop here in the question.

00:03:07.000 That is sort of true.

00:03:09.000 Unitary executive theory mostly applies to a working theory around the vice president of the United States.

00:03:14.000 However, I understand the essence of the question.

00:03:16.000 Can you help me make sense of what these executive orders do and what they're aiming to accomplish?

00:03:21.000 Are there any particularly egregious ones that you can think of?

00:03:25.000 So yes, let's go through all 30 executive orders that Joe Biden has done.

00:03:29.000 Now, remember, this was the way that they tried to attack Donald Trump, and Joe Biden is now predictably using executive action to try and undo the successes of the Trump presidency.

00:03:38.000 Let's work backwards.

00:03:39.000 On January 22nd, Joe Biden, President Joe Biden, put forward a executive order restoring collective bargaining power and worker protections for federal workers and lays the foundation for a $15 minimum wage.

00:03:53.000 Now, I'm not planning to make this podcast about the minimum wage, about how it raises prices, about how it disenfranchises low-income workers.

00:04:01.000 But as quickly as I possibly can describe it, a sudden and dramatic raise in the federal minimum wage is disastrous to middle-income workers and low-income workers.

00:04:14.000 Prices will go up, and people without a certain skill set will be forced out of the labor pool.

00:04:21.000 There's been some phenomenal scholarship done on this by Thomas Sowell and Milton Freeman and many others.

00:04:26.000 It sounds good to want to raise the minimum wage, but every single city that has done it, such as Portland and Seattle and New York, has seen a rapid increase in prices, such as AOC famously complaining about a $17 sandwich at LaGuardia Airport, or Portland and Seattle that saw double-digit decreases in waiters and waitresses and middle-class work all across major metropolitan areas.

00:04:52.000 And so the $15 minimum wage that Joe Biden has now signed an executive order, it doesn't put it necessarily into place, but it sets the foundation, lays the foundation for a $15 minimum wage.

00:05:04.000 Now, collective bargaining is basically a handout to unions, not union members, but union leaders.

00:05:11.000 So that is what this executive order is focused on.

00:05:14.000 The second executive order, number two of 30, is around the economy, which calls for assistance to those who are struggling to buy food, missed out on stimulus checks, or are unemployed.

00:05:24.000 Really no specifics there.

00:05:26.000 Not a reversal, just kind of seems more like an executive declaration.

00:05:29.000 So not a lot there to really focus on.

00:05:32.000 The third executive order on January the 21st by President Biden was signed in and said it accelerated the manufacturing and delivery of supplies for vaccination testing and personal protective equipment.

00:05:43.000 Well, something that President Trump had already put into effect was Operation Warp Speed.

00:05:48.000 It was working wonderfully.

00:05:49.000 Real results were being delivered to the American people.

00:05:52.000 Over a million people, if they so choose and they believed it would work for them, were getting the vaccination every single day.

00:05:58.000 Joe Biden got rid of Operation Warp Speed and signs a redundant executive order acting as if the administration before him was doing nothing.

00:06:08.000 The next executive action was written towards FEMA, directing to expand reimbursements to states, cover the cost of National Guards personnel and emergency supplies.

00:06:18.000 Nothing really that controversial there.

00:06:19.000 To be honest with you, that's a pretty normal executive order.

00:06:22.000 I could see President Trump signing something similar to that.

00:06:25.000 The next executive order was establishing the Pandemic Testing Board to expand United States coronavirus testing capacity.

00:06:33.000 Again, not wildly controversial, but somewhat redundant.

00:06:36.000 President Trump had already really mastered this and perfected this.

00:06:40.000 And it seems as if President Biden is trying to go out of the way to not give any form of credit as if he's starting from a zero-based position and that Donald Trump left the country in complete and total ruin when it came to preparation, testing, vaccination, or supplies with the Chinese coronavirus.

00:06:59.000 He very well could have kept President Trump's operation into tact.

00:07:04.000 And wouldn't that have been one way for President Biden and unify the country if President Biden in his transition would have said, you know what?

00:07:10.000 President Trump and his administration, regardless of politics, did step up and do a pretty amazing job when it came to the Chinese coronavirus.

00:07:18.000 I'm going to keep that in place.

00:07:19.000 Instead, he's decided to disassemble it and rebuild it in his own image.

00:07:23.000 And here's a prediction right now.

00:07:24.000 There's going to be a lot of problems when it comes to delivering because it's not so easy just to all of a sudden tear down the operation and the infrastructure of your predecessor and act as if you're going to be able to deliver all these vaccines and personal protection equipment.

00:07:38.000 You remember the difficulties that President Trump had early on in the Chinese coronavirus pandemic to just get all this infrastructure in place.

00:07:46.000 Now, maybe some of this is just building off of it, but the appearance of all these executive orders is as if that President Biden is working from a complete and total position of disadvantage.

00:08:00.000 In our fast-paced world, it's tough to make reading a priority.

00:08:03.000 At least it used to be.

00:08:04.000 At thinker.org, T-H-I-N-K-R.org, they summarize the key ideas from new and noteworthy nonfiction, giving you access to an entire library of great books in bite-sized form.

00:08:14.000 Read or listen to hundreds of titles in a matter of minutes, from old classics like Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People to recent bestsellers like Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules for Life.

00:08:23.000 When I'm just driving to work or driving to the Charlie Kirk show every single morning, sometimes I pop open a thinker summary book, and it really opens my mind, expands my horizons, and I learn something new every day.

00:08:34.000 If you want to challenge your preconceptions, expand your horizons, and become a better thinker, go to thinker.org. 0.97

00:08:39.000 That's T-H-I-N-K-R.org.

00:08:41.000 Start a free trial. 0.50

00:08:42.000 Again, that's thinker.org.

00:08:47.000 The next executive order, I'm reading from CNN.com that actually, interestingly, had the best chart when it came to this, establishes a preclinical program to boost the development of therapeutics in response to pandemic threats.

00:09:02.000 Not really that controversial.

00:09:03.000 Again, something that President Trump already did.

00:09:05.000 This kind of seems more checking a box there.

00:09:08.000 I'm not going to really attack President Biden for that one.

00:09:10.000 Next one, enhancing the nation's collection, production, and sharing and analysis of coronavirus data.

00:09:17.000 Again, I believe this was already happening under President Trump.

00:09:20.000 All of these different agencies are already working together.

00:09:24.000 I would love to have a reporter go through this list and say, President Biden, why are you re-signing executive orders that President Trump had already signed?

00:09:31.000 Or are you just signing them so that you get credit for things that are already in motion?

00:09:36.000 I'd love to get some explanation there.

00:09:39.000 Next executive order on January the 21st, signed by President Biden.

00:09:43.000 It directs FEMA to create federally supported community vaccination centers.

00:09:49.000 Pretty sure those already existed in many areas across the country.

00:09:53.000 It seems just increasingly redundant.

00:09:55.000 Next executive action directs the Department of Education and Health and Human Services.

00:09:59.000 Oh, I love this one.

00:10:00.000 To provide guidance for safely reopening and operating schools, child care providers and institutions of higher education.

00:10:07.000 So, of course, now that Biden is president and Trump is gone, we can open the schools.

00:10:12.000 And guess what?

00:10:13.000 Chicago restaurants are reopening, restaurants are reopening in Los Angeles and New York City.

00:10:18.000 President Biden even said in his own remarks that there's nothing we can do to flatten the curve of the virus.

00:10:26.000 This is going to be a status quo for quite some time.

00:10:28.000 Play tape.

00:10:30.000 Now, if only Joe Biden was that honest when he was running against Donald Trump, when he said, I have a plan, man.

00:10:36.000 Come on.

00:10:37.000 I have a plan.

00:10:39.000 I'm going to turn this thing around.

00:10:40.000 We're going to trust the scientists.

00:10:42.000 We're going to trust the science.

00:10:43.000 Well, now that Joe Biden's in charge, he realizes that maybe Donald Trump was doing a pretty spectacular job when it came to delivering personal protection equipment, trying to put forward measures to allow people's individual and freedom not to be eroded, to reopen the country.

00:11:03.000 And the way the media is covering this is quite honestly reprehensible and it's disgusting.

00:11:07.000 It really is.

00:11:08.000 They're acting as if everything Donald Trump did in regards to the Chinese coronavirus was non-existent or a total mistake.

00:11:15.000 It is so incredibly dishonest.

00:11:17.000 Next executive action signed on January 21st calls on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to release clear guidance on the Chinese coronavirus, decide whether to establish emergency temporary standards, and directs OSHA to enforce worker health and safety requirements.

00:11:32.000 There's really nothing in that executive action.

00:11:34.000 It's pretty much just, hey, everyone, do your job.

00:11:38.000 It's basically that executive action.

00:11:40.000 I'm not kidding.

00:11:41.000 There's really nothing there.

00:11:42.000 Okay, next one.

00:11:43.000 Requiring mask wearing in airports and on certain modes of transportation, including many trains, airplanes, maritime vessels, and inner city buses.

00:11:51.000 International travelers must provide proof of a negative Chinese coronavirus test prior to coming to the United States.

00:11:56.000 Hold on.

00:11:56.000 I thought it's racist to try to ask people to have requirements for coming into the country.

00:12:01.000 What about that poor person coming in from Honduras that might be coming in from a flight, or maybe the poor person from Guatemala City flying into Houston that can't afford a Chinese coronavirus test, Joe Biden?

00:12:10.000 Are you trying to tell me that we should be screening people before they come into our country?

00:12:14.000 And insofar as wearing masks everywhere, masks are already mandated everywhere.

00:12:19.000 So this is Joe Biden just trying to check a box and try to keep his base happy.

00:12:23.000 Next executive action, January 21st, creates the COVID Health Equity Task Force to help ensure an equitable pandemic response and recovery.

00:12:34.000 Basically, this task force is going to try to convince the country the virus is actually the KKK virus.

00:12:40.000 The virus infects black people more than white people, that we need to redistribute income and wealth because certain people, according to public reports, have gotten the Chinese coronavirus at higher rates than white individuals if they're black.

00:12:56.000 This is not correct at all.

00:12:59.000 And we've debunked this many times on this program.

00:13:02.000 The virus is colorblind.

00:13:04.000 People of all colors get it equally.

00:13:06.000 Any insinuation, anything different, is racist.

00:13:10.000 We refuse to do that.

00:13:12.000 But that's exactly what this commission task force is going to seek out and try and do.

00:13:16.000 I can't wait to read that report.

00:13:17.000 Next executive order: a presidential directive to restore America's leadership, support the international pandemic response effort, and promote resilience for future threats and advance global health security and the global health security agenda.

00:13:30.000 Now, this is a great example of what Eric Weinstein calls the idealism of the time as the cover of the theft.

00:13:40.000 This idealism of American leadership sounds really good.

00:13:44.000 I've said it before, but I mean it completely differently than Joe Biden.

00:13:48.000 You know the way he means American leadership?

00:13:51.000 He means American surrender to international trade organizations and treaties and allowing American sovereignty to be destroyed.

00:13:57.000 I'm going to read this executive action again to you, and can you try and tell me exactly what this is?

00:14:00.000 By the way, there's an executive action versus an executive order.

00:14:03.000 They're technically different.

00:14:05.000 An executive order is a lot more serious.

00:14:07.000 An executive action is basically telling your department what to do and signing a piece of paper.

00:14:11.000 That's basically what it is.

00:14:12.000 But let me say this again: a presidential directive to restore America's leadership, support the international pandemic response effort, promote resilience for future threats.

00:14:22.000 What the heck does that mean?

00:14:23.000 Promote resilience?

00:14:26.000 Advance global health security and global health security agenda.

00:14:29.000 It's a bunch of gibberish.

00:14:31.000 The next executive action that was signed on January the 20th launches a 100-day masking challenge asking Americans to wear masks for 100 days, requiring masks and physical distancing in federal buildings and on federal lands and by government contractors and urging state and local governments to do the same.

00:14:48.000 Again, every state and local government building that I have ever been in recently doesn't just require masks, they require a certain type of masks.

00:14:56.000 They won't require kind of the bandana mask. 0.98

00:14:58.000 It has to be like an N95 mask. 0.98

00:14:59.000 And if you even dare lower it slightly, they will come after you unbelievably aggressively.

00:15:05.000 So again, just it kind of feels redundant.

00:15:07.000 And by the way, the reason all these executive orders were signed so quickly is that Joe Biden is trying to create a narrative that things were absolutely terrible and were falling apart.

00:15:18.000 And he signed all these executive actions and the inevitable decline in cases and deaths that's going to happen in April and May because of vaccinations and herd immunity.

00:15:26.000 Joe Biden wants full credit for it because he'll be able to say, Don't you know?

00:15:29.000 On January 20th, I signed this 100-day masking challenge as if he's asking you to go 100 days without drinking soda pop or in his terms, corn pop.

00:15:41.000 I don't know.

00:15:41.000 The point is that this has already been happening.

00:15:45.000 It's symbolic at best.

00:15:48.000 Okay, the next executive action.

00:15:51.000 Stops the United States' withdrawal from the World Health Organization.

00:15:54.000 My goodness. 0.99

00:15:55.000 Just give a handout to China.

00:15:58.000 With Dr. Anthony Fauci becoming the head of the delegation to the WHO. 0.97

00:16:03.000 We have gone after Dr. Anthony Fauci as being a clueless fool many times here on the program. 0.87

00:16:10.000 In fact, let's play some tape here of Dr. Anthony Fauci of just a refresher to go and show how he has lied to you and deceived. 0.87

00:16:20.000 Now, mind you, maybe that's why he's so revered on the left.

00:16:25.000 He's willing to lie for the greater good.

00:16:28.000 Play tape of Anthony Fauci saying, I don't think this virus is going to infect anybody.

00:16:33.000 We're fine.

00:16:34.000 What are you talking about?

00:16:36.000 Play tape of him in January.

00:16:37.000 Dr. Fauci, coronavirus, of course, has been in the news so much.

00:16:41.000 People are worried.

00:16:43.000 Should they be worried?

00:16:44.000 Are they worried unnecessarily?

00:16:46.000 And what should they be doing?

00:16:48.000 I don't think people should be frightened.

00:16:50.000 I mean, the risk right now, today, currently, is really relatively low for the American public.

00:16:57.000 And now play tape of him saying, masks, come on, do you have to wear masks?

00:17:00.000 Play tape.

00:17:02.000 Right now, people should not be worried.

00:17:03.000 There's no reason to be walking around with a mask.

00:17:06.000 When you're in the middle of an outbreak, wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better, and it might even block a droplet.

00:17:16.000 But it's not providing the perfect protection that people think that it is.

00:17:22.000 Bingo.

00:17:23.000 The point is that Fauci has lied about basically everything.

00:17:27.000 Masks, social distancing, virus, death rates, hospitalizations, opening, schools, vaccination rates, you name it. 0.64

00:17:35.000 Dr. Anthony Fauci is a liar and he should not be allowed anywhere near our American institutions.

00:17:44.000 But he's very helpful to the left because he has great credibility.

00:17:47.000 And somebody wrote this in an article kind of snarkily, and I thought it was really funny, is that Anthony Fauci embodies the principle of failing upward in Washington, D.C. better than any other person.

00:17:58.000 This guy has never succeeded at anything, but he's just kind of been around, and therefore he keeps getting promoted, and he does what he's told, and he's willing to tell the big lie.

00:18:07.000 And the big lie that Dr. Anthony Fauci was willing to tell in the last year is that we must fundamentally destroy and recalibrate our civilization, no matter what, because Donald Trump is awful and he won't listen to me.

00:18:19.000 That was the big lie.

00:18:21.000 And Dr. Anthony Fauci was willing to tell that lie with a long biography of failing upwards.

00:18:28.000 So he's been very useful, and Joe Biden has rewarded him for it.

00:18:31.000 Next, executive action.

00:18:33.000 Joe Biden has created the position of COVID-19 response coordinator, reporting directly to Biden and managing efforts to produce and distribute vaccines and medical equipment.

00:18:42.000 Again, really?

00:18:43.000 We already had this.

00:18:44.000 We had whole coalitions, committees, completely and totally redundant, doing nothing more than checking a box and trying to get a nice article in the New York Times that Joe Biden can read on Sunday morning.

00:18:55.000 Next, executive action.

00:18:56.000 Extending the existing nationwide moratorium on evictions and foreclosures until at least March 31st.

00:19:02.000 Now, this one's really interesting.

00:19:04.000 I'm not going to say I'm for it or against it.

00:19:05.000 I'm principally against it.

00:19:06.000 I'm pragmatically understand it.

00:19:08.000 But I am saying this.

00:19:09.000 This is only delaying the inevitable.

00:19:11.000 The economy is not as bad as it was thanks to President Donald Trump, not even close.

00:19:17.000 And we are going to have a massive real estate eviction crisis over the summer because you're going to have a year of deferred evictions and bankruptcies, market interruptions of people that, quite honestly, they should have been evicted because they were just not doing what they should have been doing regardless of the lockdowns.

00:19:37.000 And so what does that mean?

00:19:39.000 That means property values are going to get majorly disrupted in a lot of these major markets.

00:19:44.000 Renters and landlords are going to have a hard time making due.

00:19:48.000 So, for example, you're not allowed to evict people, even if they're not paying their rent right now.

00:19:54.000 And so, you might say, oh, boo-hoo, so what?

00:19:56.000 He's a landlord.

00:19:56.000 He's got lots of money.

00:19:58.000 Okay, what about a guy who just inherited a home, a single-family home, from his parents?

00:20:06.000 And he said, you know, instead of selling it, I'm going to try and rent it.

00:20:10.000 And he rents it for $1,800 a month.

00:20:13.000 And all of a sudden, some occupant has decided to stop paying the rent last May.

00:20:20.000 Legally, he cannot evict that person.

00:20:23.000 So that guy that now owns the home has to pay property tax on that home.

00:20:27.000 He has to pay heating and cooling and electricity.

00:20:31.000 He has to keep the home up.

00:20:33.000 He cannot get a police judge order to get that person out of the home until March 31st at least because of this moratorium.

00:20:42.000 And I understand that people need a little bit of mercy and grace right now because the economy is in lockdown.

00:20:49.000 I understand that.

00:20:50.000 However, to get to the point of eviction is more than just missing your rent once.

00:20:57.000 To get to the point of eviction is you have to get to the point of delinquency.

00:21:02.000 You have to miss your rent in certain times for three to four months straight before someone can get an eviction order.

00:21:09.000 Next point signed in by President Biden, expends the existing pause on student loan payments and interest for Americans with federal student loans until at least September 30th.

00:21:20.000 This is his gift to his voter base of college students, basically saying you don't have to pay any of your student loans for another nine months.

00:21:30.000 Most student loans are held by the federal government.

00:21:33.000 99% of all student loans are actually administered and distributed by the federal government.

00:21:38.000 And so this is just one way where Joe Biden can get involved in kind of the student loan conversation while trying to give something tangible to his voter base.

00:21:49.000 Next executive order signed, this was a reversal of President Trump rejoining the Paris Climate Accord, a process that will take 30 days.

00:21:57.000 Next week, we're going to do a comprehensive take of the World Health Organization and the Paris Climate Accord and what it actually means.

00:22:02.000 But put simply this.

00:22:03.000 Paris Climate Accord puts international sanctions, rules, restrictions, and measures onto our country and our capacity to develop oil and natural gas, drive certain vehicles, and have energy emission standards on our own domestic energy consumption.

00:22:21.000 Now, mind you, no other country is actually going to follow the Paris Climate Accord, especially China, except us.

00:22:29.000 We're going to be like the good kids, which will destroy the oil, natural, and gas industry in this country, something that Joe Biden promised to do.

00:22:37.000 Remember when he did this?

00:22:38.000 Play tape of Joe Biden saying, I'll phase it out.

00:22:40.000 I'll phase out oil and natural gas.

00:22:42.000 Play tape.

00:22:53.000 Next executive action plays right into this, killing more than 70,000 jobs people estimate of all the ripple effect, canceling the Keystone XL pipeline, and directing agencies to review and reverse more than 100 Trump actions on the environment.

00:23:07.000 So Joe Biden has now decided that the blue-collar workers that have been working on the Keystone XL pipeline, he wants to disenfranchise them on day one.

00:23:17.000 They didn't vote for me, so I don't care for them.

00:23:19.000 You see, Donald Trump never did that.

00:23:21.000 Donald Trump never punished people who opposed him politically.

00:23:24.000 In fact, he went out of his way to deliver results to people that didn't vote for him politically because he was not the president of the Republican Party.

00:23:31.000 He was the president of the country.

00:23:32.000 The Keystone XL pipeline is a phenomenal achievement that allows us to be energy independent, and this gives a gift to Russia and China in more ways than one.

00:23:46.000 This executive order also rescinds a Trump order banning Chinese communist involvement in the United States power grid.

00:23:52.000 So now we can allow the employers of Hunter Biden, the Chinese Communist Party, to run our power grid.

00:24:00.000 Next executive action signed by President Joe Biden, he rescinded the Trump administration 1776 Commission, something I know very well. 0.71

00:24:08.000 President Trump nominated me to be part of that, and directs agencies to review their actions to ensure racial equity.

00:24:15.000 So for Joe Biden, he wants to have a country that focuses more on 1619 than 1776.

00:24:24.000 There's no way he could have read the 1776 Commission report.

00:24:28.000 Instead, he has done everything he possibly can to try to rewrite American history.

00:24:32.000 Now, one of the biggest lies that is told frequently is that our founding fathers were racists.

00:24:39.000 Now, yes, some of them own slaves.

00:24:41.000 Some of them are very flawed human beings.

00:24:43.000 But did you know that Thomas Jefferson, in the original draft of the United States Constitution, had written a clause condemning King George for bringing slavery to America?

00:24:54.000 Did you know in the original draft of the United States Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson wrote against King George bringing slavery to our country, condemning him for this, that Thomas Jefferson spoke out in such clear and convincing terms against the sin and crime of slavery?

00:25:16.000 This idea that the founding fathers were all on board for slavery is just not true.

00:25:20.000 This is a little nugget of information, by the way.

00:25:22.000 Those of you that are in school, those of you that might have liberal friends, you can say, hey, what do you think of Thomas Jefferson?

00:25:27.000 Oh, he's terrible.

00:25:28.000 He owns slaves, which is true. 0.99

00:25:28.000 He's awful. 0.99

00:25:30.000 Freed the slaves before he died.

00:25:32.000 However, Thomas Jefferson, being the flawed individual himself, argued against King George's involvement in the slave trade.

00:25:40.000 He said, quote, King George waged a cruel war against human nature itself, violating its most sacred rights of life and liberty in the persons of a distant people who never offended him, captivating and carrying them into slavery in another hemisphere or to incur miserable death in their transportation.

00:26:00.000 This piratical warfare, the operum of infidel powers, is the warfare of the Christian king of Great Britain.

00:26:10.000 Wow, what language by Thomas Jefferson. 0.96

00:26:12.000 Determined to keep open a market where men should be bought and sold, he has prostituted his negative for suppressing every legislative attempt to prohibit or restrain this execrable commerce.

00:26:28.000 And that this assemblage of horrors might want no fact of distinguished die, he is now exciting those very people to rise in arms among us and to purchase that liberty of which he has deprived them by murdering the people on whom he has obtruded them, thus paying off former crimes committed against the liberties of one people with crimes which he urges them to commit against the lives of one another.

00:26:58.000 Now that never made it into the final draft of the Declaration of Independence.

00:27:02.000 This was in the original, the rough draft, written in Thomas Jefferson's own handwriting in capital letters.

00:27:07.000 It didn't make it because John Hancock in the original deliberation of the Declaration said, if we can't agree on everything, we're not doing this because they're going to try to use something to divide us and cause a civil war amongst the colonies.

00:27:18.000 Do I think that was a good thing?

00:27:20.000 No, but that's why it happened.

00:27:22.000 It's called history.

00:27:23.000 But this idea that every founding father was completely on board for slavery is just not true.

00:27:31.000 Could not write a more aggressive paragraph using language they used back then against the king of England than what Thomas Jefferson wrote in the rough draft of the Declaration of Independence.

00:27:42.000 Thomas Jefferson also, right when he became the third American president, signed a moratorium of no new slaves into the United States, a provision that allowed him to do that in the United States Constitution.

00:27:54.000 So know your history.

00:27:55.000 Joe Biden doesn't want you to know the history.

00:27:57.000 That's why he got rid of the 1776 Commission.

00:27:59.000 He thinks that's an evil year.

00:28:00.000 Joe Biden and his band of radicals want you to focus on Nicole Hanna-Jones' nonsensical 1619 project.

00:28:07.000 Though somehow we are founded in 1619, we've always had slavery.

00:28:11.000 All these institutions are instruments of white supremacy.

00:28:14.000 And there's not even a conversation beyond that.

00:28:17.000 Joe Biden abolishing the 1776 Commission is just a symbol of how he's going to govern.

00:28:22.000 Our past is wrong.

00:28:25.000 Our history is flawed and not even worthy of appreciating.

00:28:28.000 And anything Donald Trump did to preserve it, I will get rid of.

00:28:31.000 Now, this next executive action is described by CNN by saying, quote, preventing workplace discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

00:28:41.000 Okay, not a big deal, right?

00:28:43.000 Wrong.

00:28:44.000 This executive order is one I really want to focus on. 0.95

00:28:47.000 This executive order allows boys to play in girls' sports.

00:28:52.000 Matt Walsh from the Daily Wire has a phenomenal piece on this.

00:28:56.000 And he says, quote, Joe Biden, who for his first 65 or 70 years of his life showed no interest in trans issues and never hinted at a belief that biological males can be women if they feel like they are, has now become, after just one day in office, most radically pro-trans president in history.

00:29:10.000 At the ripe old age of 78, Biden is governing much like a 19-year-old college student who just took her first gender studies classmate.

00:29:19.000 Goes on to say that because of this executive order that the media is conveniently ignoring, no child should ever be denied access to the restroom, locker room, or school sports by federal executive order.

00:29:32.000 Basically, if you have a daughter and she's in soccer, if you have a daughter who's in girls basketball, her classmate who's a man can wake up one day full of testosterone and say, I want to compete against you.

00:29:43.000 Oh, and I want access to your locker room. 1.00

00:29:46.000 Basically, allowing widespread gender chaos and potential perversion to occur. 1.00

00:29:53.000 And I don't use that word lightly. 0.98

00:29:55.000 Now, there's a way to deal with a transgender issue that is not this.

00:30:00.000 And it's with compassion, reconciliation, and counseling.

00:30:05.000 It is not opening up our locker rooms and private areas for young women and with that, young men, for people that are gender confused, that are still biologically and chromosomally formed as XX or XY into places of sports, locker rooms, or dressing rooms.

00:30:25.000 And that brings me to our thinker.org book of the week, T-H-I-N-K-R.org.

00:30:30.000 A lot of people are asking, hey, Charlie, where do you get your information from? 0.85

00:30:34.000 How do I get big ideas distilled?

00:30:36.000 Well, go to thinker.org/slash Charlie and check out this. 0.92

00:30:40.000 That's Abergrail Shreier's book, Irreversal Damage, Irreversible Damage, the Transgender Craze, Seducing Our Daughters. 0.61

00:30:47.000 It's thinker.org.

00:30:48.000 You guys can check it out.

00:30:49.000 It talks about men are men and women are women.

00:30:53.000 We have differences, despite what document Joe Biden wants to sign to try to make you feel or think differently.

00:31:00.000 And this executive order, as Matt Walsh puts in writing, says, quote, Joe Biden's political brand has always been that of normal and decent.

00:31:09.000 But these are neither normal nor decent actions.

00:31:11.000 These are actions of either a deranged, a moral pervert, or else a hapless, gutless coward enacting someone else's agenda because he lacks the spine or mental capacity to do the right thing.

00:31:22.000 In this case, I suspect the answer is a little bit of both. 0.79

00:31:25.000 Well done, Matt Walsh.

00:31:26.000 He's a podcaster also for the Daily Wire, very smart guy.

00:31:30.000 And so this executive order, and this is how CNN says it, quote, prevents workplace discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

00:31:39.000 Wrong. 0.96

00:31:40.000 It allows boys to go into girls' locker rooms.

00:31:42.000 It allows boys to compete against girls in soccer.

00:31:46.000 That's Joe Biden's America.

00:31:48.000 How does that heal the country exactly?

00:31:51.000 Did Joe Biden go throughout Pennsylvania campaigning?

00:31:54.000 Well, he didn't really do that much anyway.

00:31:56.000 But when he did, and he said, hey, hey, you guys, co-workers, your daughters, you know what they're missing?

00:32:04.000 Men in their locker rooms.

00:32:09.000 Corn pop.

00:32:11.000 Could you imagine? 0.99

00:32:13.000 Joe Biden, by signing this executive action executive order, shows clearly that things he said on the campaign trail, this idea of unifying and unity, was all a bunch of gibberish, balderdash, nonsense, and garbage. 0.94

00:32:28.000 It's a great way to divide the country, literally, based on those of us that believe that men should not be allowed in women's locker rooms and vice versa. 0.88

00:32:39.000 And that this transgender issue is being completely hijacked by political forces that are trying to destroy the idea of gender at all in our society. 0.81

00:32:50.000 The next executive order, executive action, requires non-citizens to be included in the census and appointment of congressional representatives. 0.89

00:32:57.000 So let me rephrase this. 0.76

00:32:58.000 Requires illegal foreign national border jumpers to be included in the census and allow them to have congressional representation. 0.98

00:33:06.000 So here's a question I always have for people. 0.99

00:33:09.000 You look at a city like Las Vegas.

00:33:11.000 Las Vegas has hundreds of thousands of tourists all around the world that come to Las Vegas, especially in February when it's Chinese New Year and a lot of people go to Vegas from China.

00:33:23.000 Should those people be counted in the census? 0.95

00:33:25.000 They're in America at that time. 1.00

00:33:27.000 They're actually more legal than the illegal foreign nationals. 1.00

00:33:31.000 And you might say, well, they're not living here. 1.00

00:33:32.000 Well, they're using our goods and services.

00:33:34.000 Shouldn't they get congressional representation?

00:33:36.000 They're in Las Vegas. 1.00

00:33:39.000 The same can be said, though, for the people that illegally entered our country. 1.00

00:33:43.000 They do not deserve congressional representation. 1.00

00:33:46.000 They shouldn't be here in the first place.

00:33:48.000 They broke our laws. 1.00

00:33:49.000 They broke and entered into the United States. 1.00

00:33:51.000 They cut in line.

00:33:53.000 And what this does is this cheapens the rule of law and delegitimizes the process of how we actually get representation in our country.

00:34:01.000 Never did the founding fathers envision a scenario where people could illegally domicile themselves into their country and somehow get congressional representation.

00:34:12.000 Next executive order. 0.79

00:34:14.000 Fortifies DACA after Trump's efforts to undo protections for the illegals brought into the country as children.

00:34:21.000 Basically upholding DACA.

00:34:23.000 This is going to be the biggest fight, everybody, immigration. 0.84

00:34:25.000 So get ready, buckle up. 1.00

00:34:27.000 Amnesty is coming.

00:34:29.000 We're going to have to fight it.

00:34:30.000 We're going to push, metaphorically fight it, push back against it on this program.

00:34:34.000 Amnesty is going to be their very, very big push.

00:34:36.000 Next executive action, yes, I'm not done yet.

00:34:38.000 They've been very busy trying to radically redefine our country.

00:34:43.000 Reversing the Trump administration's restrictions on the U.S. entry for passport holders from seven Muslim-majority countries.

00:34:51.000 Reversing Trump's restrictions in the midst of a pandemic on the seven Muslim-majority countries that was upheld actually as constitutional.

00:34:59.000 Next executive order.

00:35:01.000 Undoes Trump's expansion of immigration enforcement within the United States. 0.99

00:35:05.000 If you're here illegally, you're going to be okay.

00:35:08.000 But you know what Trump's expansion of immigration enforcement actually was about that they're going to lie to you about? 0.69

00:35:13.000 Going after the murderers, the felons, the rapists, the child sex traffickers, the narcotic traffickers, and the drug smugglers that were here illegally.

00:35:22.000 That's who ICE was going after.

00:35:23.000 This idea that ICE was going into the local Catholic Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe in El Paso, Texas, and arresting and deporting 87-year-old grandmas is nonsense.

00:35:36.000 ICE was focusing their efforts on drug smugglers that were in Chandler and Gilbert and Phoenix, Arizona, that were smuggling narcotics and breaking the law.

00:35:50.000 That's who they were focusing on.

00:35:51.000 But in Joe Biden's America, ICE is going to become nothing more than a glorified TSA.

00:35:56.000 ICE is going to be nothing more than just like, oh, welcome to America.

00:36:01.000 Next executive action, halting the construction of the border wall by terminating the national emergency declaration used to fund it.

00:36:08.000 Joe Biden basically saying, our borders are going to remain open.

00:36:12.000 You can flood into our country.

00:36:14.000 We are not going to do anything in any way, shape, or form whatsoever to stop you coming into America. 0.81

00:36:24.000 By the way, that means we're not going to try and stop child sex trafficking. 0.78

00:36:27.000 We're not going to try and stop guns coming into the country.

00:36:32.000 We want our borders open.

00:36:34.000 That's Joe Biden's America. 0.80

00:36:36.000 Next executive action, extending deferrals for deportation work authorizations for Liberians at a safe haven in the United States until June 30th, 2022.

00:36:46.000 I don't know why Liberia was singled out.

00:36:49.000 America and Liberia actually have a shared history.

00:36:52.000 The capital of Liberia is Monrovia, named after James Monroe.

00:36:57.000 There was an African nationalist movement that popped up, I want to say about 150 years ago.

00:37:04.000 Monroe is the fifth president.

00:37:06.000 It happened around there, where blacks wanted to go back to Africa.

00:37:09.000 And Liberia, actually, the term liberty, like liberation, was supposed to be a free country in Africa.

00:37:16.000 Maybe Liberia is going through something right now.

00:37:18.000 I don't know.

00:37:19.000 I'll look into it.

00:37:19.000 Maybe it's a drought or a famine.

00:37:21.000 Maybe it's some conflict.

00:37:24.000 I think maybe it's something like that.

00:37:26.000 Our team just actually sent this to me right now.

00:37:29.000 Liberian immigrants has a community, has community in Philly, Hopeful.

00:37:34.000 And so there's 400 Liberians living in Pennsylvania. 1.00

00:37:39.000 They want green cards.

00:37:40.000 Joe Biden has announced he would fix it his first day in office.

00:37:43.000 It's the Liberian Refugee Immigration Fairness Program.

00:37:47.000 I guess it was a really big focus for those people living in Philadelphia electorally.

00:37:52.000 That's my guess.

00:37:53.000 And so I have nothing against Liberian people at all.

00:37:55.000 I'm just kind of confused why this is getting singled out.

00:37:58.000 Okay.

00:37:58.000 Next one, almost there, requiring executive branch appointees to sign an ethics pledge, barring them from acting in personal interest and requiring them to uphold the independence of the Department of Justice.

00:38:09.000 This is the one thing on this list, one out of 30, I will applaud Joe Biden on.

00:38:13.000 If this actually gets upheld, doubtful, if this actually gets enforced, skeptical, this is a good thing.

00:38:19.000 Cleaning up ethics and corruption in government, regardless of who does that or what party, deserves to be commended.

00:38:25.000 President Trump did similar executive orders as this, but this is a good thing.

00:38:28.000 And the fact Joe Biden has signed an ethics pledge for other people is very good.

00:38:32.000 And by the way, this also applies to his son.

00:38:37.000 This now basically shows that he will have no meetings, no conversations, no interference, and no inside information of the Department of Justice inquiry and subpoena and investigation into Hunter Biden.

00:38:50.000 I applaud him for that.

00:38:51.000 Pretty bold, but I applaud him for that.

00:38:54.000 And the first executive order that Joe Biden signed directed the Office for Management Budget Director to develop recommendations to modernize regulatory review and undo Trump's regulatory approval process.

00:39:04.000 Basically, what America needs right now is more regulation.

00:39:06.000 That's basically what this is.

00:39:07.000 All this deregulation, freeing up the economy, opening things up, cut that out.

00:39:11.000 Basically, this executive order, the first one he signed in the president's room in the United States Senate, that one is all about adding red tape and regulation to our country.

00:39:24.000 So what is the essence of all this, all 30 of these executive orders? 0.73

00:39:28.000 Backtracking on promises, radicalizing the country on transgender issues, globalizing America, destroying American sovereignty, and yes, one good thing, the ethics issue. 0.85

00:39:38.000 That's about it. 0.64

00:39:40.000 But Joe Biden is working pretty unilaterally, not even trying to worry about Congress, because you know what Congress is too focused on?

00:39:47.000 Impeaching the former president of the United States.

00:39:50.000 And if Joe Biden wants to unite the country, and I don't think he listened to this program, but a lot of you guys have social media followings, and you guys can get a little bit of a drumbeat and chatter on this.

00:39:59.000 If he wants to unite this country, if he really wants to bring people together, you know how you do that?

00:40:05.000 You say this impeachment is not going forward.

00:40:08.000 Instead, pass my Chinese coronavirus relief bill.

00:40:12.000 Joe Biden is choosing to allow the Senate to go through with what could be an unconstitutional impeachment.

00:40:20.000 And that's our next question here at freedom at charliekirk.com.

00:40:23.000 I know that first question was quite long as we go through all 30 executive actions.

00:40:26.000 But again, a lot of you have emailed us.

00:40:28.000 You said, Charlie, I'm not going to watch the news anymore.

00:40:30.000 I'm just going to go through you.

00:40:31.000 Well, I just went through your news update for the week, I think, more comprehensively than anyone else.

00:40:36.000 And we're going to remain positive despite Joe Biden with a samurai sword going through our country trying to tear everything down.

00:40:42.000 Okay, the essence of the question here is, hey, Charlie, do you think that impeachment is going to proceed?

00:40:50.000 What's the plan?

00:40:52.000 It's a long question, and this is from Brett from Texas.

00:40:55.000 So my friend Kelly Shackelford, who I've done a couple episodes with, super smart, he texted me this last evening, and I want to read this to you.

00:41:02.000 And I think it's really interesting, which is, quote, I believe it's unconstitutional to impeach a former president.

00:41:10.000 The Constitution requires Chief Justice Roberts when the president is tried, slashed, impeached.

00:41:16.000 Kelly Shackelford predicts the Chief Justice will not show up because he won't be part of the unconstitutional action.

00:41:22.000 We will see.

00:41:23.000 So basically, Chief Justice Roberts should not show up to this trial.

00:41:29.000 He should say, I will not oversee this impeachment trial.

00:41:32.000 It's not a current officer.

00:41:34.000 It's unconstitutional.

00:41:35.000 And that will tell us a lot.

00:41:36.000 If John Roberts turns up, shows up, that will tell us a lot about the constitutionality of this impeachment.

00:41:44.000 Here's a question from Jenna.

00:41:45.000 Hey, Charlie, where do you get your information from?

00:41:47.000 I'm a senior in high school, and I want to be informed, but I don't know where to go to be truly informed these days.

00:41:51.000 It's super difficult to look up stuff on Google and find a reliable website that isn't biased.

00:41:55.000 Well, first of all, thank you for listening to our program, and we try to be that source of information.

00:41:59.000 You guys can also, I don't know if you know about this, CharlieKirk.com, we're posting articles there all the time.

00:42:04.000 I encourage you guys to check it out at charliekirk.com.

00:42:07.000 And look, the reason we're able to do all that kind of information processing and research, we have a whole team of researchers that they're constantly diving into documents, making phone calls, talking to sources.

00:42:18.000 We've kind of become this own pseudo news opinion operation.

00:42:22.000 Obviously, we have opinions.

00:42:23.000 We're not going to act as if we're the Washington Post and we have no opinions.

00:42:27.000 We're just, no, we're very much conservatives here.

00:42:29.000 We get that, but we also are fact-first people and we try to be very fair.

00:42:33.000 And you guys, when you support us at charliekirk.com slash support, you make all that possible.

00:42:37.000 But I recommend justthenews.com, real clear politics.

00:42:40.000 The Wall Street Journal generally does a pretty good job, I have to say.

00:42:44.000 They've become a little more snarkily liberal lately, but they generally do a pretty good job.

00:42:48.000 Stay away from New York Times.

00:42:49.000 Stay away from Washington Post.

00:42:51.000 Stay away from some of these message boards, these fringe stuff.

00:42:54.000 It's not helpful.

00:42:55.000 Message boards for conservatives, that's our version of the New York Times.

00:43:00.000 Don't do that. 0.87

00:43:01.000 It's all nonsense, narrative-driven drivel.

00:43:05.000 Okay, next question.

00:43:06.000 Joe Biden is making waves for replacing a bust of Winston Churchill with a bust of Eleanor Roosevelt and Cesar Chavez.

00:43:13.000 He also replaced a portrait of Andrew Jackson with FDR.

00:43:16.000 The Washington Post did an entire piece on this.

00:43:18.000 My question, say hypothetically, you're elected president.

00:43:20.000 What portraits are you hanging?

00:43:22.000 What busts are you displaying in the Oval Office?

00:43:24.000 I didn't even read this question beforehand.

00:43:26.000 Okay, well, I would have definitely the bust of Winston Churchill back there.

00:43:30.000 Winston Churchill saved Western civilization.

00:43:32.000 Winston Churchill is one of the most under, one of the least understood, least appreciated figures of the 20th century.

00:43:40.000 I would have George Washington, who's the father of our country and I believe a true, humble servant.

00:43:44.000 And then I'd have Ronald Reagan.

00:43:46.000 That's who I would have.

00:43:47.000 And so that would be my trifecta.

00:43:48.000 And I definitely would not have Cesar Chavez.

00:43:50.000 Let's put it that way.

00:43:51.000 I would also maybe have Dwight D. Eisenhower, General MacArthur.

00:43:56.000 And if I kind of had to pick our equivalent of a labor leader or philosopher or writer, boy, I would have to probably pick, going all the way back to the founding of our country, I would probably pick, yeah, let me think about this, probably Thomas Jefferson.

00:44:12.000 I'm a big Thomas Jefferson fan.

00:44:14.000 Oh, Teddy Roosevelt.

00:44:15.000 I would definitely have Teddy Roosevelt around.

00:44:16.000 I'm a big Teddy Roosevelt fan for different reasons than people might think.

00:44:20.000 I've done a podcast on that before.

00:44:21.000 I will do one again, but I don't want to repeat it for those of you that have been listening for quite some time.

00:44:27.000 Email us your questions, as always, freedom at charliekirk.com.
