00:00:58.000 Write to you guys.

00:00:59.000 Great episode in store.

00:01:00.000 Fight for your liberty.

00:01:01.000 We're not going to take another lockdown.

00:01:03.000 Not going to happen.

00:01:04.000 Here we go.

00:01:06.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.

00:01:08.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campuses.

00:01:10.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.

00:01:13.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.

00:01:16.000 I want to thank Charlie.

00:01:17.000 He's an incredible guy.

00:01:18.000 His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.

00:01:25.000 Turning point USA.

00:01:27.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.

00:01:36.000 That's why we are here.

00:01:39.000 Is the economy coming back?

00:01:41.000 Well, I hope so, unless we try to stop all the positive economic resurgence that we're seeing right now.

00:01:47.000 I know a lot of you are worried about the direction of our country and especially economically.

00:01:51.000 And we've talked a lot about the culture issues the last few weeks, but now we're going to have to get back into whether or not we are going to lock down our country again.

00:02:00.000 And if you follow my commentary, if you follow my opinion of the first round of lockdowns, I'm completely opposed to them.

00:02:07.000 It's not that I'm not opposed to them because I hate people or I want to see people suffer.

00:02:11.000 It's because I actually think the lockdowns make more people suffer than they actually help.

00:02:15.000 I actually also think restricting liberty and freedom with that kind of a broad application with no nuance whatsoever, I think does incredible damage to our country.

00:02:26.000 So let's just first talk about some of the positive economic news.

00:02:29.000 That's right, positive economic news.

00:02:31.000 So according to CNBC, private payrolls rose to 2.369 million in June, according to ADP and Moody's Analytics.

00:02:40.000 May's number saw a massive revision upwards.

00:02:44.000 Probably didn't hear about this in the media.

00:02:45.000 Going from an initially reported loss of 2.76 million to a gain of nearly 3 million, actually over 3 million.

00:02:52.000 ADP initially said May saw a loss of 2.76 million.

00:02:56.000 However, the Labor Department two days later reported a gain of 2.5 million for May.

00:03:01.000 The hospitality industry, they were the biggest gainer.

00:03:04.000 So people that are traveling again, people that are going back hopefully to hotels and restaurants with 961,000 new hires.

00:03:11.000 Now, mind you, if you shut down the country again, when people are just starting to go back on vacation, you are going to have massive depression and people that thought they were going to have their jobs back completely eliminated.

00:03:23.000 Mark Zandi, who is the chief economist at Moody's Analytics, says, quote, it looks like an economic recovery began in June, end quote.

00:03:30.000 For the month, hiring was especially strong in the leisure and hospitality industry, the industry which took the biggest hit from the Chinese coronavirus.

00:03:37.000 Now, mind you, if you wanted the American economy to fail, like Bill Maher does, in fact, let's play the tape from Bill Maher just so that people can understand the parameters of how some of the left operates about their motives and their incentives.

00:03:50.000 There are people that actually want the economy to fail so that they can defeat Donald Trump.

00:03:55.000 Play tape.

00:03:56.000 This economy is going pretty well.

00:03:58.000 We have to, what?

00:04:00.000 Why is that funny?

00:04:01.000 It is going well for now.

00:04:02.000 For now, right.

00:04:03.000 That's my question.

00:04:04.000 That's my question.

00:04:04.000 Thank you.

00:04:07.000 I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point.

00:04:10.000 And by the way, I'm hoping for it because I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy.

00:04:15.000 So please bring on the recession.

00:04:17.000 Sorry if that hurts people, but it's either root for a recession or you lose your democracy.

00:04:22.000 Maybe since we started to see the economy rebound and recover, are there some people that actually don't want to see this happen?

00:04:29.000 Now, mind you, to put some things in perspective, the national unemployment rate was at a 50-year low prior to the shutdown, and now it's 13.3%.

00:04:39.000 So Bill Maher is getting his wish.

00:04:40.000 Bill Maher is probably pretty happy right now.

00:04:44.000 He wanted to see a recession so that America could fail, henceforth, get rid of Donald Trump.

00:04:51.000 Now, mind you, the stock market has remarkably had the best second quarter in two decades.

00:04:55.000 Now, I'm telling you, if these lockdowns happen, I would not be long on the market in the short term.

00:05:00.000 I think the market is going to get hit very hard and very quickly if we shut down America again.

00:05:04.000 We'll get to that in one second.

00:05:06.000 Mind you, a lot of the people that are getting worried, understandably, are saying, well, there's an increase in cases.

00:05:10.000 And they're not actually pointing out the death rates.

00:05:12.000 They're actually remaining constant or going down.

00:05:15.000 And mind you, I'm very skeptical about the death rates in general when it comes around the Chinese coronavirus.

00:05:20.000 We had Dr. Burks say at a press conference that they are counting deaths very liberally.

00:05:27.000 We've said this once.

00:05:28.000 We've played the tape before on the Charlie Kirk show.

00:05:30.000 If you haven't heard it, let's play it again right now.

00:05:33.000 So I think in this country, we've taken a very liberal approach to mortality.

00:05:39.000 And I think the reporting here has been pretty straightforward over the last five to six weeks.

00:05:46.000 Prior to that, when there wasn't testing in January and February, that's a very different situation and unknown.

00:05:55.000 There are other countries that if you had a pre-existing condition, and let's say the virus called you to go to the ICU and then have a heart or kidney problem.

00:06:07.000 Some countries are recording that as a heart issue or a kidney issue and not a COVID-19 death.

00:06:16.000 Right now, we're still recording it.

00:06:18.000 And we'll, I mean, the great thing about having forms that come in and a form that has the ability to market as COVID-19 infection, the intent is right now that those, if someone dies with COVID-19, we are counting that as a COVID-19 death.

00:06:37.000 So do not let the left fearmonger.

00:06:40.000 And here's just a, let's say, hard truth.

00:06:45.000 Do you know that 7,500 people die every single day in America?

00:06:51.000 That was before the Chinese coronavirus.

00:06:54.000 Unfortunately, a lot of people die in our country.

00:06:59.000 Unfortunately, death is part of life.

00:07:04.000 And I think we've convinced ourselves in a country, 340 million people, we can micromanage and centrally plan all of our decisions.

00:07:12.000 I'm not saying we shouldn't do anything for communities that are at risk, nursing homes, all that.

00:07:18.000 But trying to convince ourselves of the daily death toll that they have on CNN every single day, just ask yourselves the question.

00:07:24.000 Would CNN have the daily death toll tally if Joe Biden was president?

00:07:30.000 Of course not.

00:07:30.000 It's just designed to make Trump look bad.

00:07:33.000 And I am not minimizing the tragedy of any loss of life.

00:07:36.000 Let me repeat that.

00:07:37.000 I am not minimizing the tragedy of any, any, any loss of life.

00:07:41.000 But we have to be sober and honest about the reality of the world we live in.

00:07:48.000 People unfortunately pass away.

00:07:51.000 And saying that we can prevent that from happening by reshutting down the American economy after we did it for 100 days with at best questionable results.

00:08:01.000 And quite honestly, I think the honest take is disastrous results.

00:08:05.000 Increase in depression, alcoholism, drug usage, social isolation.

00:08:09.000 60% of all new prescriptions are antidepressants.

00:08:13.000 Not to mention the riots and the protests and the arson that came after all of the shutdowns.

00:08:21.000 which just created a powder keg of pent-up energy.

00:08:25.000 You listening to this right now should push back against corporations and local municipalities that are trying to shut you down.

00:08:32.000 We are not going to tolerate another lockdown.

00:08:35.000 I tweeted this and I'll say it right here.

00:08:37.000 If they have to arrest me for civilly disobeying a lockdown, then so be it.

00:08:43.000 I'm a huge fan of Henry David Thoreau.

00:08:45.000 Henry David Thoreau wrote the book Civil Disobedience.

00:08:48.000 In the book Civil Disobedience, he talks about that if you are going to disobey a law or an order from a government, you must be willing to accept the penalty.

00:08:59.000 I don't say this lightly, but I will not abide by another lockdown.

00:09:03.000 It's just not going to happen.

00:09:04.000 Now, I'm not going to be reckless.

00:09:06.000 I'm not going to go breathe in everyone's mouth or try to spread something that I don't have, by the way.

00:09:11.000 I've been tested and I do not have it at the recording of this podcast.

00:09:16.000 But I'm not going to stay sheltered in place for something that is not supported by data, not supported by science, to try to restrict my liberty and freedom of people that already have malevolent aims and goals for our country.

00:09:30.000 And mind you, you can't invest in the future of our country if you do not have certainty.

00:09:35.000 Stephen Weiting, a chief investment strategist and chief economist at Citi Private Bank, this is basically what he said.

00:09:41.000 He said, quote, the coronavirus is right now accelerating in the Americas, but not the rest of the world.

00:09:45.000 Again, it's at Latin America and parts of the United States, and that can slow us down.

00:09:49.000 But if we look at the daily data, we look at employment, credit card use, mobility, all those things, it's unlikely that we're going to get a shock as severe as what we saw in the March and April period.

00:09:58.000 I agree with this.

00:09:59.000 I was recently in Wyoming in a tourist part of the world.

00:10:03.000 And yeah, there were some people wearing masks and four-year-olds wearing masks.

00:10:06.000 I'm so against children wearing masks.

00:10:08.000 I think it just robs kids of their childhood.

00:10:10.000 And the data shows that it's a higher likelihood of them getting the flu and dying than of the Chinese coronavirus.

00:10:18.000 And so if you do not have your child wear a mask during the flu season, do not have your child wear a mask during the Chinese coronavirus season or whatever we're going through.

00:10:27.000 By the way, these people that are walking the streets with their homemade handkerchiefs, can someone notify them that there's no medical utility at all to that at all?

00:10:36.000 Now, if you're wearing an N95 mask, a little bit of medical utility if you have the virus not to spread it. 0.96

00:10:43.000 And Nancy Pelosi wears those ridiculous match color matching scarves and the media does not call her out on it at all.

00:10:50.000 So these people that are just wearing these handkerchiefs thinking that it's going to help them from either spreading the disease or getting the disease, they're just totally wrong. 0.64

00:10:58.000 It has absolutely no medical utility at all whatsoever.

00:11:01.000 What it does is it appeases authoritarian politicians, power grabbers that wish to dehumanize us and take our liberty and freedom away.

00:11:10.000 And it also makes anti-social social activists, you're like, my gosh, what is that?

00:11:14.000 Well, an anti-social person is someone that honestly wants to watch the world burn.

00:11:18.000 A lot of people, some of the worst people that have ever done damage to the entire world are anti-social behaviors.

00:11:23.000 That's a different psychological episode at a different time.

00:11:27.000 And by the way, as a corollary to this, it gives Antifa the excuse to always wear their masks, which they've been waiting for for some time, because I'm just always been against masks.

00:11:36.000 I think God gave us a face for a reason.

00:11:38.000 And I think that if you disguise and camouflage your face from the rest of the world, really negative, dangerous things can happen.

00:11:47.000 Now, it's really important to remember that people vote with their wallets. 0.99

00:11:51.000 People say, well, it's the economy stupid. 0.99

00:11:52.000 I think there's some truth to that. 0.99

00:11:55.000 If the economy is strong come in the third quarter and the fourth quarter, it would absolutely help Trump's reelection.

00:12:01.000 However, as I played the Bill Maher clip, there are forces on the left and the media that want to keep the country locked down just enough that we're going to miss the rebound window.

00:12:09.000 Now, mind you, if we do not get our country fully open by August, we will not have the rebound we should have come election day.

00:12:15.000 They're trying to wait this thing out.

00:12:16.000 They can't get to September probably because the country will revolt against it, but they're trying their best to wait this out.

00:12:23.000 They're trying their best to really stretch out the clock.

00:12:27.000 And by doing so, and so there are forces that want to keep this country locked down so that we miss our window.

00:12:34.000 And remember, the radical left does not want private property or free enterprise.

00:12:39.000 Some people say capitalism.

00:12:40.000 I prefer the term free enterprise.

00:12:42.000 They want to topple it.

00:12:43.000 It's not some conspiracy theory to suggest that they want to keep the economy on total lockdown while the government hands out free checks to people who don't want to work.

00:12:53.000 Now, while we're looking to get this economy back on track and actually save our country from the cultural destruction that's happening, now mind you, if I were to rank Charlie, what's the biggest threat to America?

00:13:03.000 The economic recession we're going through right now, which albeit I pray it's temporary, or the cultural destruction, it's not even close.

00:13:09.000 The cultural destruction and the corporate funding of that destruction is the biggest issue in America.

00:13:14.000 That's not to say the economic is insignificant, but if you have a wonderfully robust economy and you don't have a country, then what the heck's the point of all this thing?

00:13:21.000 And if you have great GDP numbers and low unemployment and young people hate the country they live in and they're taking down our statues of our history and burning our flag, that seems like a pretty bad deal to me.

00:13:35.000 Look, I want to tell you guys about PC Matic.

00:13:37.000 PC Matic is a whitelist next-generation antivirus system designed to stop modern threats like ransomware, independent testing, the A-B test, just named PC Matic as a top performer in the cybersecurity industry, giving it the best performance award for 2019.

00:13:52.000 Only PC Matic has American research development and support.

00:13:54.000 PC Matic's competition is made in foreign countries like China.

00:13:59.000 Many where the viruses originate. 1.00

00:14:01.000 Buy American.

00:14:02.000 Support our country. 0.99

00:14:04.000 Don't buy antivirus systems that are made in China. 0.99

00:14:08.000 PC Matic protects Windows computers, including XP Vista, Windows 7, 8, and 10 Windows servers, Macs, MacBooks, and Android phones, and tablets. 0.97

00:14:17.000 Again, PC Matic's competition is made in foreign countries, many where the viruses originate.

00:14:22.000 PC Matics is $50 for five devices for one year with a full 30-day money-back guarantee.

00:14:26.000 And if you act now, PC Matic has offered my listeners a free month of security protection with the purchase of an annual license.

00:14:32.000 To access this offer, go to pcmatic.com slash Charlie.

00:14:35.000 Again, to get world-class security that keeps your computers running great, go to pcmatic.com/slash Charlie.

00:14:43.000 Now, mind you, let's go to the biggest state in the country, California.

00:14:47.000 California has now, thanks to the tyrant, Governor Newsom, on Wednesday ordered bars and indoor dining at restaurants to close in most areas.

00:14:55.000 There's no data to support this.

00:14:57.000 Cases are going up because hospital visitations are going up.

00:15:00.000 Hospital visitations are going up because we delayed all surgeries, elective and otherwise, during the Chinese coronavirus shutdown.

00:15:07.000 If you go to a hospital, you're going to get tested.

00:15:09.000 It's just that simple.

00:15:10.000 Hospital tested.

00:15:12.000 Therefore, more people being tested, it goes up.

00:15:15.000 The revised stay-at-home orders affect 19 counties, which are about three-fourths, 75% of 40 million people, all the residents in the state of California, including LA County.

00:15:25.000 This is going to absolutely obliterate any restaurants that were coming back online, any sort of bars, movie theaters, zoos, and museums.

00:15:33.000 We're just destroying kids' lives.

00:15:34.000 We're destroying people's summers, despite most of the deaths.

00:15:39.000 Is that right?

00:15:39.000 50 plus percent deaths being in nursing homes.

00:15:44.000 And I'm just so unbelievably tired of this.

00:15:47.000 And please email me your questions, freedom at charliekirk.com.

00:15:50.000 Why we tolerate the BLM Inc. arsonists that were marching in the streets.

00:15:55.000 I'm talking about tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of people.

00:15:57.000 And we try to say that didn't have some sort of increase in the amount of cases.

00:16:01.000 The activist media is so dishonest.

00:16:03.000 They are so disingenuous that they do not say, huh, maybe all the people that were protesting George Floyd's death or stealing the big screen TVs or burning down our country, maybe they were the super spreader of the virus.

00:16:15.000 And Newsom says the bottom line is the spread of this virus continues at a rate that is particularly concerning.

00:16:21.000 Well, thank you, tyrant Newsom.

00:16:23.000 Mind you, the executive order that Newsom signed came days ahead of what is expected to be a very busy 4th of July weekend for the state.

00:16:32.000 A lot of public health officials were worried because they said that a lot of people are going to gather in large numbers.

00:16:37.000 I hope they would gather in large numbers to celebrate our country.

00:16:40.000 Newsom did not order beaches to close, but he said parking lots at all the beaches in Southern California and in San Francisco Bay Area would close to limit the crowd.

00:16:51.000 And this is really interesting as kind of a tangent of this.

00:16:54.000 The European Union, which interestingly enough, no one's calling the European Union racist lately.

00:16:59.000 They said this.

00:17:00.000 Americans will remain barred from European travel as the EU gradually reopens its borders.

00:17:06.000 European Union governments decided Tuesday to open their external borders to Algeria, Tunisia, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Georgia, Japan, Montenegro, Morocco, Rwanda, Serbia, South Korea, Thailand, and Uruguay.

00:17:18.000 Chinese travelers will be allowed in the EU, but only if China announces that it will accept European visitors.

00:17:23.000 But no America.

00:17:25.000 And the media is perfectly okay with this.

00:17:27.000 So Donald Trump closes the borders to the European Union, and they call Donald Trump a racist.

00:17:32.000 European Union closes its borders to America and the media calls it prudent and a good decision.

00:17:39.000 It's all just a farce, everybody.

00:17:42.000 They're just trying to get us to close down again, destroy our country to make sure Donald Trump's not elected and they can get Joe Biden elected.

00:17:49.000 It's that simple.

00:17:51.000 That's why I'm going to civilly disobey this.

00:17:53.000 I will accept the penalty.

00:17:55.000 If you say you civil disobey and then you say, oh, I'm not going to get arrested, I'm going to know.

00:17:59.000 Put me in handcuffs.

00:18:02.000 I will not abide by this anymore.

00:18:04.000 There is no science or data to reflect locking down the American economy or our country or our way of life again.

00:18:10.000 If you're worried about dying, then don't leave your home.

00:18:13.000 You have the freedom to do that.

00:18:15.000 It's like saying, well, Charlie, I'm really worried that if I drive at night, I might die.

00:18:19.000 Well, then don't drive at night.

00:18:21.000 It's funny how that works, right?

00:18:23.000 Well, Charlie, I'm really worried that I might overdose on heroin.

00:18:27.000 Well, then don't overdose on heroin and don't do heroin at all.

00:18:30.000 The point being is that there are lots of foolish things you can do, and you know your own tolerance for what you can do and what kind of liberty that you are able to live through.

00:18:39.000 However, we've not convinced ourselves that the state, the government, the authoritarian centralized government knows best for us.

00:18:45.000 You cannot have freedom without responsibility.

00:18:47.000 You can't.

00:18:48.000 Responsibility means making informed choices.

00:18:51.000 Responsibility means saying, well, that's good for me and that's not good for me.

00:18:54.000 And you know what the amazing thing about freedom is?

00:18:56.000 You have to live up to the choices that you make.

00:18:58.000 You have to take responsibility for them.

00:19:00.000 It's amazing.

00:19:01.000 Like, yeah, I was out late last night and I overslept my alarm and I missed coming to work.

00:19:06.000 Well, whose fault is that?

00:19:08.000 So if you're really worried about catching the Chinese coronavirus, stay at home.

00:19:11.000 Please stay at home.

00:19:13.000 But if you're not, then live your life.

00:19:16.000 The government says you can't live your life because they know it's best for you.

00:19:20.000 It is without a doubt.

00:19:22.000 If a Democrat was president that they wanted to get re-elected, they would be ignoring all of this.

00:19:26.000 This pandemic would be spreading.

00:19:28.000 They'd be saying that we're all fearmongers.

00:19:29.000 The Democrats would be making speeches about how they love freedom and liberty and Republicans just want to prevent you from having a nice time.

00:19:38.000 It's really too bad, though.

00:19:39.000 It's too bad this all had to happen during an election year, an election year where they hate a president so pathologically, where they're so committed to his absolute and complete destruction that they're willing to take down the entire country with it.

00:19:52.000 The Democrats' entire decision-making matrix right now is: we don't care the collateral damage that we cause to America or to Western society as long as we can get the White House back.

00:20:03.000 It's incredibly Machiavellian.

00:20:06.000 If you don't know who Machiavelli is, read his book, The Prince.

00:20:12.000 And it's that old expression that you've heard many times.

00:20:14.000 There's a lot of wisdom in that book, but the one that's the most famous is the ends justify the means, which essentially means there's no morals as long as I get my way because what I want is actually the utmost moral goal.

00:20:34.000 That's how you get authoritarian governments that kill half of their people because they say, well, if we just kill the people that hate us, then eventually we can live in harmony.

00:20:42.000 Just ask the Soviet Union or Mao China or Pol Pot.

00:20:46.000 The tyrants throughout Vietnam, Korea, or Mussolini, how that works out.

00:20:50.000 Interestingly enough, Machiavelli was Italian, and Mussolini basically lived out the ends justify the means phrase throughout his entire tyrannical dictatorship.

00:21:04.000 The American Academy of Pediatrics, they sparked a real debate by recommending that kids should return to classrooms.

00:21:09.000 I can't believe it when I saw it.

00:21:10.000 Usually, all the Academy of the Sciences are bought by the cultural Marxists.

00:21:13.000 They said this.

00:21:14.000 The AAP strongly advocates that all policy considerations for the coming school year should start with a goal of having students physically present in school.

00:21:22.000 The guidance says, quote, the importance of in-person learning is well documented, and there's also evidence of the negative effect on children because of school closures in the spring of 2020.

00:21:31.000 Are you guys going to take it any longer?

00:21:34.000 Are you guys just going to be told to stay at home and not live your life, not be able to go to work?

00:21:39.000 I think it's time to call for all patriot loving.

00:21:42.000 This is not political, by the way.

00:21:43.000 It's not conservative.

00:21:43.000 It's not Democrat.

00:21:44.000 It's not that.

00:21:45.000 If you just love your country and you love liberty and you love freedom, do not obey by these guidances.

00:21:50.000 Just don't.

00:21:51.000 We have turning point USA events coming up on the horizon.

00:21:53.000 We just hosted 3,300 people with the president in Phoenix, Arizona.

00:21:58.000 We're not going to slow down.

00:22:00.000 We're not.

00:22:01.000 I am not going to allow some authoritarian, tyrannical power grabber to dictate the direction of our country.

00:22:09.000 Liberty is hard, everybody.

00:22:11.000 It's hard.

00:22:12.000 You know where there's no liberty?

00:22:13.000 Prison.

00:22:14.000 They give you three meals a day.

00:22:16.000 You can leave your cell when they tell you you're perfectly taken care of, but you have no liberty or freedom. 0.52

00:22:22.000 Explain to me how the draconian lockdowns that we just went through is different in any way, shape, or form, if they were enforced to the possible extent, which they were in certain states where Christians are being arrested, than an open-air prison created by politicians to try to protect us.

00:22:39.000 Liberty is hard.

00:22:41.000 It takes mature citizens.

00:22:42.000 It takes informed choices.

00:22:46.000 Another great example of liberty is that when there's a thunderstorm outside in the summer, there's a lot of thunderstorms.

00:22:52.000 Some people take the risk to go for a bike ride.

00:22:54.000 Some people take a risk to go for a hike.

00:22:57.000 Some people take a risk to go for a run outside when there's a thunderstorm and it's lightning out.

00:23:01.000 There is a risk you will get struck by lightning.

00:23:04.000 There is.

00:23:05.000 There is a risk that you might slip and fall.

00:23:08.000 However, it would be foolish and it will be short-sighted to try to say a law that says if you leave your home while it is thundering outside or there's lightning, you'll get arrested.

00:23:19.000 Instead, generally, and to be corrected, I'm sure, by some power-grabbing, authoritarian, nanny-state politician.

00:23:29.000 And both parties, by the way, both parties have people like this.

00:23:32.000 They'll say, you can't leave your home if it's thundering outside.

00:23:36.000 Well, that's not a sign of a mature society.

00:23:39.000 The way that we have developed public policy through almost all movement of people locally and nationally is, yes, you can probably do what you want to do, but you got to own up to it.

00:23:51.000 Yes, you can wake up at 5 a.m. to go hunt a deer.

00:23:55.000 But if you load your rifle incorrectly and it explodes in your face, that's your responsibility.

00:24:02.000 Yes, you can go for a jog at 6 a.m.

00:24:05.000 But if you slip and fall and break your ankle, that's your responsibility.

00:24:09.000 You guys get what I'm saying here.

00:24:11.000 But just think to yourself how much liberty we actually tolerate in our country, gun ownership, owning a car, owning a private airplane if you're able to have the wealth that allows you to do it.

00:24:21.000 All these things have statistical risks built into them, or you could have a less than desirable outcome.

00:24:28.000 But never do we have an argument not to have those things.

00:24:31.000 In fact, it's built in to our entire culture and society.

00:24:37.000 The same can be said for building and construction.

00:24:42.000 Heart disease.

00:24:42.000 Should we just basically say Wendy's and McDonald's are close?

00:24:45.000 Well, according to the arsonists, they don't like Wendy's very much.

00:24:47.000 They burned down Wendy's because they didn't like that a police officer decided to handle a situation in a way that they did not seem to be perfectly within their anti-cop narrative.

00:24:58.000 Liberty is hard.

00:24:59.000 It's difficult.

00:25:00.000 It takes effort and responsibility.

00:25:02.000 A mature society weighs costs and risks and proceeds accordingly, but it does not centrally plan or tell people what they can and cannot do with their lives.

00:25:14.000 Think freely and act on it.

00:25:16.000 No more lockdowns, and that will save our country.

00:25:23.000 ExpressVPN is the software that I and thousands of my fans use every day to protect our data online.

00:25:30.000 In the time since I've started using ExpressVPN, hacking methods have grown even more sophisticated.

00:25:35.000 I'm sure many of you are working at home from these days, and without your IT department to protect you from your online threats, it's important that you take action on your own to secure your devices you use for work.

00:25:44.000 That's why I recommend using ExpressVPN for the best online protection possible.

00:25:48.000 I've been talking about ExpressVPN on my show for some time now, and I'm sure you understand, but some of you still haven't acted.

00:25:54.000 Why is that?

00:25:55.000 You might still be thinking that security threats don't affect you personally. 0.81

00:25:58.000 But look, ExpressVPN is like leaving your front door unlocked to the Chinese Communist Party. 0.87

00:26:03.000 One of the easiest ways to secure internet data is with ExpressVPN. 0.96

00:26:07.000 So right now, go to expressvpn.com/slash Charlie and get an extra three months of ExpressVPN for free.

00:26:13.000 Go to expressvpn.com/slash Charlie.

00:26:15.000 That's expressvpn.com/slash Charlie.

00:26:22.000 So defund the police is a coming to a neighborhood near you.

00:26:25.000 It officially has hit New York City and Los Angeles.

00:26:28.000 New York City, Bill de Blasio, America's worst mayor.

00:26:30.000 He's been dealing with protesters who refuse to leave an encampment in front of City Hall in New York City, which has been demanding $1 billion be cut from the police department's budget.

00:26:39.000 The department's budget is around $6 billion, and the city had a July 1 budget deadline.

00:26:44.000 So now New York City officials agreed on a budget that shifts $1 billion from the police department, but advocates and lawmakers are now saying it does not go far enough.

00:26:53.000 Look, we've said this many times on the Charlie Kirk Show before.

00:26:57.000 Do not give an inch to the arsonists.

00:27:00.000 Do not give an inch to the radical leftists.

00:27:04.000 They will take a mile.

00:27:06.000 The city council said in a statement that the city's 2021 budget of more than $88 billion reduces police spending and shrinks the New York Police Department's footprint.

00:27:16.000 That was a quote.

00:27:17.000 The changes will cancel a nearly 1,200-person police recruiting class set for next month.

00:27:23.000 That's right, 1,200 people, probably many of them, black and Hispanic, potential police officers.

00:27:29.000 It totally and completely cancels that recruiting class.

00:27:33.000 And queue up, who?

00:27:34.000 The clueless Marxist bartender from New York City, United States Representative Alexandria Casio-Cotez, who criticized the bill, saying the cuts do not go far enough.

00:27:47.000 And I don't offend bartenders. 0.99

00:27:49.000 I just think that she is a disgrace to bartenders everywhere. 1.00

00:27:52.000 I actually think that she gives bartenders a very bad name. 0.99

00:27:57.000 It is a again, I mean, no offense to bartenders, which is actually an ancient profession.

00:28:02.000 It goes back many thousands of years.

00:28:04.000 Defunding police means defunding police.

00:28:06.000 This is what Alexander Acasio-Cotez says.

00:28:09.000 It does not mean budget tricks or funny math.

00:28:12.000 It does not mean moving school police officers from the NYPD budget to the Department of Education budget.

00:28:16.000 So the exact same police remain in schools.

00:28:19.000 I'm not really sure what problem she has with canceling another 1,200 jobs for police officers.

00:28:24.000 LA is following accordingly, of course, the worst ideas will always go to Los Angeles and New York.

00:28:30.000 The Los Angeles City Council on Wednesday approved a $150 million cut to Los Angeles Police Department's budget for the next fiscal year, a move that followed activists mounting calls to, quote, defund the police.

00:28:41.000 The council voted 12-2 with Councilman John Lee and Joe Busciano voting in opposition to the decision.

00:28:48.000 Councilman Lee, surprisingly, made some courageous statements that actually made some sense after the vote.

00:28:52.000 This is from KABC in Los Angeles.

00:28:55.000 Quote, Lee said it's still important to acknowledge how far the Los Angeles Police Department has come in its reformation for decades.

00:29:02.000 He said that two-thirds of the Los Angeles Police Department officers are people of color and that the department has, quote, made a model in its reforms.

00:29:09.000 I'm not saying the Los Angeles Police Department is a perfect organization, but there's always room for improvement.

00:29:15.000 And they go on and on and on about implicit bias training and de-escalation, so on and so forth.

00:29:20.000 Now, the Los Angeles Police Protective League, the union that represents the department's roughly 9,900 sworn officers, has rightly come out against all of this insanity.

00:29:31.000 Listen, we've said this many times before. 1.00

00:29:34.000 This is going to lead to more black and brown deaths in Los Angeles and New York City. 0.97

00:29:38.000 People of color are going to die because of this, dramatically. 0.75

00:29:42.000 Mayor Giuliani proved that increasing police forces can lower the death rates and save black and brown lives.

00:29:48.000 And these types of moves made in Indianapolis are sure to follow in other deep blue cities, which lead to urban blight, a flight out of cities by those with the means to do so. 0.60

00:29:58.000 Now, you remember Patrice Cullers, she's a total gem, co-founder of BLM Inc.

00:30:03.000 Remember, we don't call it by the other name. 0.70

00:30:05.000 We call it BLM Inc. because I do not want to even say a true statement, which black lives do matter, all lives do matter, when describing these Marxist arsonists to our society. 0.73

00:30:16.000 This will end in death and destruction like all other Marxist revolutions if we don't stop its movement in its tracks. 0.53

00:30:23.000 Now, before we go any further, in a previous episode, yesterday's episode, I talked about Senator Mike Braun not denouncing BLM Inc. and saying that he supports BLM Inc.

00:30:31.000 Let me just bring you up to speed on this and you guys can hear the tape for yourself because I do not want to put words in his mouth.

00:30:39.000 I'm very specific when it comes, especially to accusations as serious as people supporting the radical redefinition of our country, play tape. 0.92

00:30:48.000 You support the Black Lives Matter movement.

00:30:52.000 I support that movement because it's addressing an inequity that has not been solved from a grassroots level.

00:31:03.000 Now, today, Senator Mike Braun has completely backpedaled.

00:31:06.000 Good for him and has clarified.

00:31:09.000 On his Senate website, he released a statement and was very aggressive.

00:31:13.000 And I wonder if we played a role in that because a lot of people have been contacting him and a lot of people have been calling him out for his statements and for his appeasement of the most radical elements of American society.

00:31:30.000 And so Senator Mike Braun said on a statement, quote, the National Umbrella Organization of BLM is an extremist, radical, Marxist organization dedicated to ending the nuclear family and defunding the police that hijacked an important message.

00:31:42.000 I condemn all acts of violence, rioting, and property destruction done in the name of any social movement.

00:31:46.000 Okay, well, Senator, it would have been nice to hear that on television or any time in the last couple of weeks of which you have remained eerily silent when you originally endorsed BLM Inc., but we want to make sure we give people the opportunity to clarify.

00:31:58.000 And I understand that people have to be enlightened at times and they can move on issues.

00:32:02.000 So we want to make sure that the senator's position as of today was made clear.

00:32:07.000 Now, mind you, I recently tweeted this about America's worst cities.

00:32:12.000 Do you know that it's been 110 years in Washington, D.C. since they've had a Republican mayor?

00:32:17.000 Did you know that it's been 58 years since Detroit has had a Republican mayor?

00:32:21.000 56 years since San Francisco has had a Republican mayor.

00:32:25.000 59 years since Oakland has had a Republican mayor.

00:32:28.000 45 years since Flint, Michigan has had a Republican mayor.

00:32:31.000 31 years since Cleveland has had a Republican mayor.

00:32:34.000 49 years since Hartford, Connecticut has had a Republican mayor.

00:32:37.000 141 years since Atlanta has had a Republican mayor.

00:32:40.000 71 years since St. Louis has had a Republican mayor, and 68 years since Philadelphia has had a Republican mayor.

00:32:46.000 And mind you, 19 years since L.A. has had a Republican mayor.

00:32:49.000 19 years ago, they had a Republican mayor that actually reduced crime and made the city a better place to live.

00:32:56.000 What's the number one sign of a bad home security system, a home security system that's so complicated, you never use it?

00:33:02.000 This is exactly the type of security system SimplySafe has spent a decade fighting against.

00:33:07.000 They believe that simple is safer.

00:33:09.000 And exactly why SimplySafe is the home security for right now, when feeling safe at home has never been more important.

00:33:59.000 Now, mind you, expect all these budget cuts to continue because the swarm of socialists will never be satisfied.

00:34:07.000 The pain, death, arson, and suffering will have to get so extreme for people, reasonable people, to rise up.

00:34:14.000 Now, Victor Davis Hansen said something incredible on Laura Ingram's show, and I want to play a short snippet of this, where he said, the middle class is watching this cultural war and they are terrified.

00:34:23.000 It really resonated with me.

00:34:24.000 I was on the same night on Laura Ingram's Fox show.

00:34:27.000 Let's play tape.

00:34:28.000 All these agendas come into play, Laura.

00:34:30.000 Somebody might want your job.

00:34:32.000 Somebody might have a personal grudge against your family.

00:34:35.000 And under the cloak of this cultural revolution, they start defaming you and lying.

00:34:39.000 And then you have to put a dunce cap and then bow to the mob.

00:34:42.000 And that only empowers people more to come out.

00:34:45.000 So the middle class is waiting to see who's going to win because they're terrified.

00:34:49.000 I think you just articulated it perfectly.

00:34:51.000 And who knows how bad it will be before sane policy returns, if we even have a country by then. 0.88

00:34:58.000 Expect crime to shoot up and unfortunately and tragically expect black and brown lives to be lost, which, of course, happened in Chaz, CHOP, whatever they call it, which, by the way, has just been cleared by police, remarkably. 0.57

00:35:13.000 But the reason why should be scandalous in the press, which it isn't, but it won't get any press coverage at all, which is why we're going to talk about it here on the Charlie Kirk show.

00:35:22.000 I want to thank those of you that are supporters to us on charliekirk.com/slash support.

00:35:26.000 That allows us to be unafraid in telling you the truth, the stories the media will not tell you away from boycotts and riots and all that stuff that anyone who tells the truth now today has to go through.

00:35:36.000 Now, mind you, CHOP or Chaz or whatever, the autonomous country in America, it was not cleared up after weeks of lawlessness, after multiple incidents of violence, but only after the radical left occupiers made a credible threat to swarm and surround Mayor Jenny Durkin's home.

00:35:54.000 And by the way, you know, people died in Chaz, and the entire left-wing worldview is one from Jean-Jacques Rousseau, the failed French philosopher in the 1700s who valued the innocence of children over the maturity of adults.

00:36:09.000 Basically, if you want to learn about the American left, if you want to learn about where their worldview comes from, there's a couple of thinkers that you can study.

00:36:17.000 Hegel is one.

00:36:18.000 John Rawls is another.

00:36:19.000 We talked about him in a previous episode of the Charlie Kirk show.

00:36:22.000 Jean-Jacques Rousseau is another.

00:36:25.000 And if you learn about him, he actually believes that it's the systems around us that create flawed human beings.

00:36:32.000 And therefore, if Rousseau is correct, why is it that when you got rid of police in Seattle, people continued to die?

00:36:39.000 And so Rousseau argued in the 18th century, he says, I prefer the primitive over the civilized, the child over the adult, the passionate over the calmly delivered response.

00:36:54.000 Boy, let me just say that again.

00:36:56.000 Does that not describe the American left?

00:36:59.000 The primitive over the civilized, the child over the adult?

00:37:04.000 He valued human beings in their original state with no responsibilities and nothing but freedom. 0.81

00:37:11.000 Well, his idea of freedom is actually serfdom.

00:37:14.000 But if Rousseau is correct, which they teach our children in higher education, why on earth was Chaz such an utter failure? 0.87

00:37:24.000 Anytime that a socialist tries to say, well, socialism has never been tried, you guys literally colonially took over an inner city, seven blocks in downtown Seattle.

00:37:34.000 Why couldn't you make it work?

00:37:35.000 You tried to extort the citizens.

00:37:37.000 You tried to plant your own food.

00:37:38.000 It was a disaster.

00:37:39.000 You can go back in the archives of the Charlie Kirk show and listen to frontline reports.

00:37:44.000 Not that we begrudge success on this show, but it should be noted that the mayor of Seattle, her home is 5,000 square feet and a $7.6 million home.

00:37:53.000 I don't know how she got that money, and we'll find out, I'm sure.

00:37:56.000 Why is it that the ruling class that have achieved success, why do they feel entitled to enact laws to hurt normal people? 0.74

00:38:04.000 But they themselves will feel insulated from.

00:38:06.000 Durkin had ordered Chaz to be cleared a week ago.

00:38:10.000 But for some reason, I guess the summer of love has come to an end.

00:38:12.000 Let's play tape of the mayor calling this a summer of love.

00:38:15.000 Play tape.

00:38:16.000 Place.

00:38:17.000 How long do you think Seattle in those few blocks looks like this?

00:38:21.000 I don't know.

00:38:21.000 We could have a summer of love.

00:38:23.000 Hedge fund manager James Alkacher, he agreed with me.

00:38:27.000 He said this.

00:38:28.000 When they take over the other neighborhood, it's a peaceful rally or an art festival or CHOP.

00:38:32.000 But when they go to your house, Mayor Jenny, finally it's chaos, tanks, and riot police. 0.54

00:38:38.000 And yet still it's not on CNN despite the police finally dismantling Chaz. 0.53

00:38:43.000 So Mayor Durkin, six shootings and two teenagers dying.

00:38:47.000 By the way, two teenagers died.

00:38:49.000 Two teenagers died in CHOP.

00:38:50.000 Is that the summer of love? 0.76

00:38:52.000 Mayor Durkin, this is a typical leftist leader, totally weak, pandering to radical interests, lying pathologically, and the activist media coming up for her. 1.00

00:39:00.000 And she calls it a Capitol Hill block party.

00:39:02.000 But when your house gets threatened, you call the anti-riot police armed to the hilt.

00:39:08.000 Chaz was one of the single most brazen examples of the disenfranchisement of business owners and families that called that neighborhood home.

00:39:16.000 They'd been complaining for weeks, begging the local government to take action.

00:39:20.000 Even filed a class action lawsuit stating that the city's decision to abandon and close off an entire city neighborhood, the police fire, medical service subjected business and employees and residents of that neighborhood to extensive property damage.

00:39:35.000 Mob rule, chaos, and violence.

00:39:37.000 This is always what happens in a socialist Marxist utopia.

00:39:40.000 They promise you everything and it ends up being dystopian.

00:39:44.000 This is the world that Alexandria, Kaiser-Cortez, Elon Omar, Ayanna Presley, Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders want to create.

00:39:52.000 Mayor Durkin is just the latest example of a failed Marxist experiment in her own city with no backbone and just total weakness. 0.71

00:39:59.000 Remember, Governor Inslee said he didn't even know about Chaz while they were causing and forming an insurrection and a rebellion in his own state. 0.84

00:40:07.000 Play tape.

00:40:08.000 Governor, I'd like to ask you about what's going on in Seattle.

00:40:11.000 There's this thing called the Capital Little Autonomous Zone.

00:40:14.000 What's your thought on that?

00:40:15.000 The fact that the protesters have taken that over and not allowing people to come and go freely regarding the public.

00:40:22.000 Well, that's news to me, so I'll have to reserve any comment about it.

00:40:27.000 I have not heard anything about that.

00:40:29.000 These are the type of leaders that we get from the American left.

00:40:32.000 This is the type of chaos that will happen the more you give Democrats control.

00:40:41.000 And by the way, you guys listen to me enough.

00:40:44.000 I don't play the game Republican good, Democrats bad.

00:40:47.000 I don't do that.

00:40:48.000 I do not do that.

00:40:50.000 I don't say, like, oh, all Democrats are bad, all Republicans are good.

00:40:53.000 In fact, I'm very critical of Republicans.

00:40:55.000 And you guys know that if you listen to the Charlie Kirk show.

00:40:57.000 If you don't believe me, go back yesterday and listen to what I have to say about Senator Mike Braun.

00:41:01.000 And I gave him an opportunity to clear it up here on the Charlie Kirk show.

00:41:03.000 We made sure we aired that.

00:41:05.000 But let me be very clear.

00:41:07.000 The Democrats will destroy everything they touch because their worldview is backwards and malevolent.

00:41:12.000 They do not want what's best for America at all.

00:41:16.000 Tomorrow, we're going to get into the Russia Gate 2.0, which is totally unpacked about the Afghan story. 0.88
