00:01:06.000 I did not watch it.

00:01:07.000 I've watched a couple clips here and there.

00:01:09.000 But someone who made headlines is someone who, let's say, interjected at one point of the speech, Congresswoman Lauren Bobert, who speaks at a lot of our Turning Point USA events and is from Colorado.

00:01:21.000 And she joins us right now.

00:01:23.000 Congresswoman, how are you doing?

00:01:26.000 I'm doing great, Charlie.

00:01:28.000 Unfortunately, the state of our union is not great.

00:01:31.000 And, you know, we heard a lot of gaslighting last night, but we didn't hear a lot of solutions.

00:01:37.000 I was just happy when the speech was over because with all the spending talk that Biden had, I think his Amex card had reached its limit.

00:01:46.000 So you've made some headlines for interjecting.

00:01:49.000 Tell us about it.

00:01:52.000 Listen, Charlie, we all saw what took place in Afghanistan, that horrible, botched withdrawal.

00:01:58.000 A lot of people are upset at me on the left for interrupting a speech, but I think that there are 13 families whose lives are far more interrupted right now because of Joe Biden's failures.

00:02:14.000 We heard a lot of promises last night for increased taxes and spending, but Joe Biden said nothing about how he was going to fix the crises he created.

00:02:23.000 Biden was trying to earn political points by talking about troops that were being buried in flag-draped coffins.

00:02:32.000 My mind went straight to the 13 soldiers that died in Afghanistan under Joe Biden's watch.

00:02:40.000 The mother of one of those soldiers lives in my district, and she told me that Joe Biden killed her son.

00:02:46.000 Last night, Biden invited a big tech CEO to the State of the Union, but couldn't be bothered to recognize any of the families who lost loved ones in Afghanistan.

00:02:56.000 Biden took no responsibility for his failures last night in Afghanistan, but he also took no responsibility for the other crisis that we're seeing with the border, inflation, transportation, and even the rising of crime in our cities.

00:03:10.000 Joe Biden and the Democrats tried to act like they weren't the party that defunded and defamed the police for the past two years.

00:03:20.000 The gaslighting is ridiculous, and Americans aren't falling for it.

00:03:23.000 Yeah, and so his approval ratings are at record lows.

00:03:26.000 Even in Colorado, Joe Biden's numbers are underwater.

00:03:30.000 Talk about more about just kind of the general lack of addressing, trying to bring the country together.

00:03:37.000 This seemed like a radical left-wing speech in more ways than one to just kind of dive more into that.

00:03:44.000 The missing components of this speech were so evident.

00:03:47.000 Whether it be Biden's war on energy, he didn't, there's almost no accomplishments mentioned at all.

00:03:54.000 Help us through that.

00:03:56.000 Right.

00:03:56.000 There aren't any accomplishments mentioned because there aren't any to discuss.

00:04:00.000 We've been under one-party Democrat rule at a national level now for the past year, and there's no policy that we can point to that's actually helping American families right now.

00:04:11.000 And I certainly wasn't assured of anything more that Joe Biden will continue to try to do except for raise taxes, increase government spending, fuel the flames of inflation, and deflect on the issues that Americans really are concerned about, like the border crisis, transportation crime, just to name a few.

00:04:30.000 But, you know, if I were to give Joe Biden my own rating, I'd certainly give him an F.

00:04:35.000 But his failures happened before Russia, before Russia invaded Ukraine.

00:04:41.000 It really started by killing American energy, making us even more dependent on Russian oil.

00:04:48.000 His total failure in Afghanistan.

00:04:50.000 He showed the world he is weak.

00:04:53.000 And I don't think that sanctions will convince Putin that Joe is really a threat.

00:05:00.000 We have the southern border that is absolutely wide open.

00:05:03.000 He canceled construction of the border wall on day one, but American citizens are still paying $5 million a day in government contracts for a wall that is not being built.

00:05:14.000 And this is just more weakness that our enemies have been noticing for the past year.

00:05:20.000 So there's certainly a lot of things that he should have been talking about.

00:05:24.000 One thing I did notice, Charlie, is President Biden never said build back better.

00:05:28.000 That was his entire agenda, and it was rejected by the American people.

00:05:34.000 Biden's poll numbers reflect what the American people are seeing.

00:05:39.000 And they see that he is incapable of improving the country.

00:05:44.000 So he reverted to what all Democrats revert to, tax and spend policies.

00:05:49.000 Yeah, he said building a better America, whatever that means.

00:05:52.000 Yes.

00:05:53.000 And so I think you wore a drill baby drill shirt as well yesterday.

00:05:57.000 And a lot of the State of the Union is theater.

00:06:00.000 So now I got to ask you, Congresswoman, because we've been receiving a lot of emails and some of our listeners are divided.

00:06:05.000 I think you could probably see part of why they're divided because we really went after Nancy Pelosi when she tore the speech.

00:06:11.000 We said, have some respect for the president.

00:06:13.000 What do you have to say for people that say, hey, look, I'm with you, Congresswoman, but maybe you shouldn't interrupt a president of the State of the Union.

00:06:19.000 What's your thought on that?

00:06:21.000 First of all, I was really caught up in the emotions of it.

00:06:24.000 He started mentioning Afghanistan, but didn't bother to mention the 13 soldiers.

00:06:30.000 He went on to something totally different.

00:06:32.000 And that really just overwhelmed me.

00:06:35.000 And I couldn't help but speak out.

00:06:37.000 And look, I would love to have a conversation in a better setting with him.

00:06:40.000 I would love to be able to talk to him.

00:06:42.000 And maybe I'll get the chance to do that when Republicans are in the majority in 2023.

00:06:49.000 And we can actually put forward my articles of impeachment for Joe Biden and have a real conversation.

00:06:54.000 And as far as the drill baby drill goes, look, Joe Biden, he waged a war on American energy and left us in a very dangerous place.

00:07:03.000 We rely on Russian energy importing nearly 600,000 barrels of energy per day when we should be energy independent and certainly energy dominant.

00:07:13.000 We should be able to export energy to our allies, which is literally exporting freedom.

00:07:19.000 And so I wore drill baby drill on my shaw to remind the Democrats of exactly what we should be doing and how we should stop funding Russia's war.

00:07:28.000 Yeah, and that's a lot of the State of the Union is kind of like making alternative points.

00:07:33.000 And I think people understand that.

00:07:35.000 And I'll be honest, like if I was in the audience, I don't know if I would have been able to contain myself.

00:07:38.000 So I think that's a fair answer.

00:07:40.000 If I had to listen to Joe Biden go on and massacre the truth for however long he talked.

00:07:46.000 And I said full disclosure, I didn't even listen to the entire speech.

00:07:49.000 It's how I remain sane.

00:07:50.000 I've looked little pieces and bits.

00:07:52.000 In closing, Congresswoman, tell us about your race. 0.70

00:07:54.000 A tough one in Colorado with redistricting.

00:07:59.000 So, in Colorado's redistricting, we actually picked up a seat in Colorado that we're hopeful that we will be able to win, that Republicans will be able to win.

00:08:06.000 And in my district, I went from Republicans leading by a six-point advantage to now a nine-point advantage.

00:08:12.000 So, we have a couple of liberal Republicans.

00:08:16.000 I think the R behind their name stands for rollover, who are trying to challenge me.

00:08:20.000 But we have a caucus and assembly process in Colorado that I value dearly, and they're trying to buy their way onto the ballot.

00:08:26.000 I don't think that they'll be successful, but I'm looking forward to continuing to serve the people of Colorado's third district.

00:08:33.000 It truly has been the honor of my life.

00:08:35.000 We've worked on over 650 constituent cases, returned hundreds of thousands of dollars back to the district to people who were owed that money from the government, but bureaucrats were getting in the way.

00:08:46.000 And then, of course, just all the travel through my district, which is nearly half the state of Colorado, meeting with people, listening to them, hearing from them, and coming up with solutions has been just an honor and a joy to do.

00:09:04.000 I'm still on the western slope.

00:09:06.000 So, we lost a little bit of my northern district.

00:12:39.000 Recent study, according to Dr. Robert Malone, summary data from Great Britain, reveals that nine out of 10 people dying of COVID are vaccinated.

00:12:48.000 Dr. Malone says, quote, the notion that the vaccines protect against severe disease and death is failing.

00:12:54.000 But Joe Biden says you can't build a wall high enough to keep out the vaccine.

00:14:33.000 Locking down the economy and then, let's say, slowly reopening it is not creating new jobs, it's refilling jobs that previously existed.

00:16:32.000 So, Nigel, you're somewhat of an expert on European affairs, more so than I think anyone in our country is qualified to talk about.

00:16:40.000 What's your perspective on this Russian-Ukrainian situation?

00:16:45.000 Well, you know, mistakes of the past are mistakes of the past.

00:16:48.000 I think that we made some big mistakes.

00:16:49.000 Clinton started it actually deciding that NATO should keep on expanding eastwards and the European Union too.

00:16:57.000 And that's given Putin grounds to say we're being encircled, we're being invaded.

00:17:03.000 And that's the narrative that Putin has pushed to the Russian people.

00:17:07.000 However, that was then.

00:17:09.000 Where we are now is that a sovereign country has been invaded.

00:17:14.000 Tanks, cruise missiles, everything.

00:17:17.000 It's the first time we've seen anything like this on this scale since 1945.

00:17:23.000 The Ukrainians have fought back much harder than anyone thought they would.

00:17:28.000 It's estimated that over 5,000 Russian soldiers have been killed already.

00:17:33.000 But right now, the capital city, Kiev, is about to be encircled by Russian troops.

00:17:41.000 And there's going to be a siege, I would think, for a period of time.

00:17:46.000 Can the Ukrainians hold out against Russian might? 0.96

00:17:50.000 I'm not so sure they can.

00:17:52.000 And for our part, well, Ukraine is not a NATO country.

00:17:57.000 We've chosen not to intervene.

00:17:59.000 And here's the reason why.

00:18:00.000 And here's the scary bit.

00:18:02.000 I've always thought of Putin as being logical, clever, a good guy at playing the international chess game.

00:18:11.000 But I think this time he must have lost his mind.

00:18:14.000 He looks like he's lost his mind.

00:18:16.000 When he has meetings now with foreign leaders, they're not allowed within 40 feet of him, such as his paranoia about coronavirus.

00:18:24.000 And to invade Ukraine, which clearly does not want to be part of Russia, horrible memories of what the Soviet Union did there for year after year. 0.57

00:18:34.000 He's united the world against him in the most incredible way.

00:18:38.000 The British, even the Germans have done a U-turn. 0.90

00:18:43.000 Even the Swedes, who, when Hitler was trying to take the world over, stayed neutral.

00:18:48.000 Even the Swedes are sending some weaponry to help the Ukrainians.

00:18:52.000 And so we now see Russia increasingly being isolated from the rest of the world.

00:18:59.000 But if this man has lost reason, that explains why NATO haven't gone to help the Ukrainians.

00:19:06.000 Because, of course, this is a nuclear power.

00:19:10.000 And we're facing up to the first confrontation between nuclear powers since the Cuban missile crisis nearly 60 years ago.

00:19:18.000 And I certainly don't trust the American leadership to be able to navigate that at all in any way whatsoever.

00:19:24.000 So let me ask you, Nigel, I want to dive deeper into the psychology of Putin because I'm totally on the same page as you.

00:19:31.000 Other people say, you know, Putin is always playing a game.

00:19:34.000 He has a card that we don't see.

00:19:37.000 I don't see a rational explanation for this at all. 0.63

00:19:40.000 This seems like someone who is in the last grasps of dementia, of someone who is pathological, sociopathic.

00:19:47.000 This is not rational.

00:19:48.000 This is not gamesmanship.

00:19:50.000 This is not anything that I think could be other than I'm not going to be around much longer and I want what's mine.

00:19:56.000 Is that the right way to look at it?

00:19:59.000 There's a sense of history here.

00:20:01.000 I think what Putin is harking back to and not the days of the Soviet Union so much, but actually Imperial Russia, Catherine the Great, the Tsars, the great Russian Empire.

00:20:12.000 That's his feeling.

00:20:13.000 Now, look, you know, when it came to the crime, when it came to Crimea in 2014, well, Crimea is Russian speaking.

00:20:21.000 It is Russian culturally.

00:20:23.000 So he kind of got away with that.

00:20:25.000 But there's no doubt about it, that those people living in Kiev, the capital city in the west of Ukraine, you know, they do not feel Russian.

00:20:34.000 They don't want to be Russian. 1.00

00:20:35.000 And for Putin to have done this and to have united the world against him shows complete overreach, total lack of judgment, bordering on megalomania.

00:20:45.000 And if he does take Ukraine, which I have to be honest is the likely outcome, well, my guess, Charlie, is it'll be Moldova next.

00:20:54.000 Moldova, small country, 2.6 million people, very few resources.

00:21:00.000 And then we face the prospect of, well, it wouldn't be Poland. 0.92

00:21:04.000 It's too big and powerful.

00:21:05.000 But what about Estonia?

00:21:06.000 Estonia, NATO member, 1.3 million people in it.

00:21:11.000 What happens if he invades Estonia?

00:21:14.000 Are we seeing a repeat of what Hitler did back in the 1930s? 0.88

00:21:18.000 Now, the problem here, I've said already on this call, that even the European Union have united in terms of collective action.

00:21:27.000 America, can you believe that America, which has led the free world since 1945, the country we look to because of its size, because of its strength?

00:21:38.000 I could not believe that last weekend, Biden was in Delaware.

00:21:44.000 If ever there was a time for an American leader to have come to Europe, to have got the leaders round the table, to assume control of the situation, it was then.

00:21:54.000 And all we got really last night in the State of the Union speech, well, apart from confusing Iranians and Ukrainians, I mean, just how embarrassing can you get? 0.55

00:22:06.000 All we got really from Biden was we're going to do on sanctions the same thing that the Europeans are going to do.

00:22:13.000 And it does appear that since the fall, since the fall of Kabbalah, since the American withdrawal from Afghanistan, at least the way in which the withdrawal was conducted, that America has rather disappeared off the world stage.

00:22:27.000 Now, I quite understand those people who say, hey, you know what?

00:22:31.000 20 years in Afghanistan, the cost of Iraq, the mistakes of Libya.

00:22:36.000 I understand all of those arguments.

00:22:38.000 And hey, I didn't want my country to be involved in those wars either.

00:22:42.000 But this is different.

00:22:44.000 This is a tyrant who is threatening free democratic nations, nations with whom we all have so much in common, values that we share in so many ways.

00:22:55.000 This is a nuclear power run by somebody who now is looking increasingly mad.

00:23:00.000 This is serious.

00:23:02.000 So if he continues the, let's say, campaign, let's say he seizes Kyiv successfully and takes all of Ukraine, which is easier said than done, because then he'll have to govern 25 million people that don't like him, which I don't quite understand what he plans to do with that.

00:23:20.000 That's a separate question.

00:23:21.000 But let's say he goes to Moldova and Estonia.

00:23:24.000 What is the West's proper response here, Nigel?

00:23:26.000 Because it seems that Putin is kind of wagging the thing that we're all afraid of, nuclear conflict.

00:23:32.000 He's like, hey, I'm ready to use nuclear weapons.

00:23:35.000 And that's enough to make the markets go south and enough to make the West kind of very apprehensive for intervention.

00:23:43.000 What is the proper posture for deterrence here?

00:23:46.000 Well, I think the point of that, I mean, the real point is he saw American weakness.

00:23:50.000 He thought he saw European weakness.

00:23:53.000 It was into that vacuum that he's acted.

00:23:55.000 I promise you, if Donald Trump was in the White House, he would not have done this.

00:24:00.000 All right.

00:24:01.000 I absolutely believe that with all my heart.

00:24:04.000 We need to put down an absolute red line.

00:24:07.000 We need to say any incursion of any nature into a NATO country means we will be at war with you.
