00:00:57.000His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.
00:01:05.000We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:01:55.000So, Heather, you write in this piece: the guardians of the medical profession are discarding merit in order to alter the demographics of their field.
00:02:05.000Now, my wife just had a baby last week, and we wanted the best experts there, and thankfully we had them.
00:02:14.000Are you trying to tell me that the direction medicine is going is that it's not going to be on merit, it's not going to be on competency, but instead on skin color?
00:02:25.000And you may soon be getting an obstetrician that knows more about white privilege and heteronormativity than he or she does about how to deliver a C-section or a breach birth.
00:02:38.000We have the very leaders of the medical profession, the Guardians, the AMA, the American Association of Medical Colleges, who have declared a patent untruth that medicine is shot through with systemic racism.
00:02:54.000And the solution to that is massive racial preferences, both in admissions to medical schools and then into appointments to medical positions, into who runs research labs, what kind of research gets done.
00:03:08.000Meritocracy is now viewed as just another symptom of white supremacy.
00:03:15.000So, I'm reading this piece here, and I just want to re-emphasize this.
00:03:18.000According to medical and STEM leaders, you write, to be white is to be per se racist.
00:03:23.000Apologies and reparations for that offending trait are now derujeur.
00:03:28.000In June 2020, Nature identified itself as Nature magazine as one of culpably, quote, white institutions that is responsible for bias in research and scholarship.
00:03:38.000You continue to say the AMA strategic plan, quote, blames white male lawmakers for America's systemic racism.
00:03:45.000So, Heather, you know, America has always had the best healthcare.
00:03:49.000It's not always been widely accessible, and it's obviously been very expensive.
00:03:52.000But we're playing with some very dangerous things here.
00:03:55.000The death of meritocracy in a field of science and medicine is something that I don't think any decent civil society would do if it was sane.
00:04:03.000Is there any sort of institutional backlash against this, or is it just all kind of a mass social experiment in a field that should be immune from such idea pathogens?
00:04:13.000There is no institutional backlash, Charlie.
00:04:18.000Recently, the National Cancer Institute sent out a notice to its cancer research centers saying, well, we give out this prestigious grant for the most cutting-edge researchers in cancer who are most likely to make breakthroughs by engaging in high-risk ideas.
00:04:39.000You know, maybe their research won't pan out, but it could be paradigm shifting.
00:04:44.000And the problem with these so-called outstanding investigator awards is that they have been predominantly given to white and Asian researchers in the past.
00:04:54.000And that, according to the National Cancer Institute, which is a branch of the NIH, means that those awards are patently prima fascia, invalid, and racist.
00:05:04.000So they asked their cancer centers to send in a different group of nominees.
00:05:10.000In other words, change your standards, lower your standards to make sure that you're sending us underrepresented minorities regardless of their qualifications, who will then, of course, be selected for these awards.
00:05:23.000And I asked an oncologist, when are you guys going to fight back?
00:05:29.000When are white and Asian researchers going to say we refuse to be sidelined?
00:05:34.000We refuse to have our accomplishments be torn away from us and demeaned for the trivialities of our skin color.
00:05:42.000And he answered, basically, we need our jobs.
00:05:46.000Those few individuals who have spoken out have been destroyed and we can't afford it.
00:05:53.000So we're facing a fear factor where there are individual doctors who see what's happening.
00:05:58.000They are appalled, and yet they will be crushed if they speak out and say we should be admitting medical students based on their medical skills, not based on their skin color.
00:06:08.000Right now, a Black medical school applicant with mediocre MCAT scores, these are the standardized test scores to medicine, has a nine times greater chance of admissions than an Asian applicant.
00:06:23.000These are scores that would be automatically disqualifying if presented by white and Asians, and yet we are admitting Blacks and Hispanics with much lower skills and they get passed along.
00:06:34.000I mean, it doesn't take someone to understand all the intricacies of MSPE, the medical student performance evaluation, and all this, which is someone listening saying, wait a second, hold on.
00:06:44.000You're trying to tell me that my doctor who might be performing highly complicated surgery on me, by the way, medical error is one of the leading causes of death in America, as it is, just so everyone's clear, that medical error kills a lot of people every single year.
00:06:59.000We can get the actual number, but it's significant that now we're going to be introducing a supply of people that have subpar scores.
00:07:07.000Can you just build that out more, Heather, just how wide the gap is now of the lowering of standards?
00:07:15.000I'm just kind of glossing this right here.
00:07:16.000I didn't get a chance to get to this part in the piece, but it says something like this.
00:07:19.000The University of Pennsylvania Medical School guarantees admission to black undergraduates who score a modest 1300 on the SAT, maintain a 3.6 GPA, and complete two summers of internship at the school.
00:07:32.000The school waives its MCAT requirement for these Black students.
00:07:36.000UPenn's non-preferred medical students score in the top 1% of all MCAT takers.
00:07:41.000What would a white student have to take then, Heather?
00:07:44.000And how is that not outright in total discrimination?
00:07:49.000Again, a white MCAT score has to be in the top 1%, at least, if not better than that.
00:07:58.000But if you're black, they don't even want to look at your MCATs because there are virtually no, I mean, there's few individual blacks that are, of course, are scoring high, but on average, there is what's known as a whole standard deviation of difference, and that's a fancy statistical term that basically means a really big, really significant difference between the average black MCAT score and the average white MCAT score.
00:08:22.000Again, blacks are being admitted with scores that would be automatically disqualifying if submitted by whites.
00:08:29.000And then what happens is, is quite predictably, according to mismatch theory, which is propounded by Richard Sander at the UCLA Law School and others, they don't do as well.
00:08:39.000If you're admitted to an academic environment where you are not competitively qualified, you're not going to learn as much.
00:08:45.000The teaching is going to be pitched at a higher level of skills than you have.
00:09:22.000You know, we're just going to change or destroy the yardsticks rather than acknowledge that there are underlying skills gap differences that need to be closed.
00:09:30.000And it's too late to do it in medical school.
00:09:33.000And you are putting people's lives at risk, not only when you show up at an ER with a fatal heart attack, but it's a more subtle problem as well, Charlie, which is medical research.
00:09:44.000The federal government has encumbered medical research labs with these absurd diversity requirements for racism in who gets to work there, racism in clinical trials.
00:09:56.000And that is slowing down the pace of research.
00:09:58.000People tell me I'm spending more time writing my diversity, equity, and inclusion statement to try and justify how studying cell signaling and nematodes for cancer research has a diversity impact than I am actually doing the science.
00:10:15.000So we are destroying the golden goose that has saved billions of lives the world over.
00:10:23.000I mean, this is the most serious, one of the most serious things happening in front of us.
00:10:26.000And it's political in some sense, but I mean, you look at science and medicine is now going to be flooded with unqualified, over-promoted people based solely on the color of their skin.
00:10:57.000And the reason she saw it happening is she saw it happening on college campuses.
00:11:00.000And she started happening, she saw it happening at entry-level jobs.
00:11:03.000And I remember some of these kind of moderate Republican types would say, oh, Charlie, who cares about affirmative action if it's a janitor or if it's this?
00:11:10.000And now it's affirmative action for your brain surgery, everybody, or your pilot, where your hand, your life is literally in somebody's hands.
00:11:19.000So, Heather, I have a theory here, and I'd love your thoughts on it.
00:11:22.000Politically, I'm just talking politically, not culturally and not in the corporate world.
00:11:26.000It seems as if there has been a de-emphasizing of the race issue versus 2020.
00:11:32.000Crime is up, and talking about BLM and talking about equity all the time seems to turn off suburban and independent voters.
00:11:40.000What's your thoughts on that, Heather?
00:11:41.000Think that the Democrats specifically are getting a little uneasy about talking about defund the police and the over-racialization of our politics.
00:11:51.000Well, Biden is clearly terrified about defunding the police, but I don't take any particular long-term sucker from this.
00:11:59.000I think as soon as they get through the elections, they're going to double down on the America is racist and the beating up on whites meme.
00:12:08.000You know, we'll see if Biden restrains himself tonight on the white supremacists as big as source of violence and threat in the United States, which is a complete joke.
00:12:19.000So, right now, you know, they've got the bright, shiny Mar-a-Lago bauble to play with.
00:12:26.000But frankly, I don't think this signals any kind of long-term shift because there's just too many institutional players that, but above all, the universities, but now the press and government, you know, the deep state that are utterly invested in black privilege and the demonization of Western civilization as something that is corrupt and oppressive simply by virtue of its historical demographics.
00:12:55.000So, Heather, do you think that there is a concerted pushback from Latino and Asians?
00:13:01.000It seems as if white voters are split.
00:13:04.000Half are on board for this and half are scared to say anything about it.
00:13:07.000But it seems as if there's this pushback from Asian and Latino voters or people in particular that the hyperracialization of this doesn't necessarily always benefit the kind of body politic of the left.
00:13:20.000Are you seeing any sort of backlash to this, not institutionally, but from the bottom up?
00:13:24.000Well, certainly, you know, the best fighters against racial preferences in admissions, whether it's in, you know, K through 12, gifted and talented programs, admission schools, you know, the Asians have been very good on trying to stand up for colorblind meritocratic admissions on crime.
00:13:47.000And yet, let me tell you, I still remain amazed that the leaders in the Asian community, when they're talking about anti-Asian hate crimes, are still adopting the rhetoric of the left and implying, if not stating outright, that the problem is whites that are beating up on vulnerable Asian elderly when the videos speak for themselves.
00:14:06.000I mean, the Asian hate crime phenomenon is overwhelmingly committed by inner city blacks.
00:14:13.000So, yes, there's grounds there and hope for peeling it off, but it's going to take a while because there's still a strong identification with the Democratic Party for whatever reason, whether it's wanting big government or not wanting to be associated with these racist Republicans that they keep hearing about from the media.
00:15:14.000You rarely see this kind of focus and commitment.
00:15:16.000They recently shared with me that they are doubling down and want to literally double their total number of happy customers in the next year.
00:15:24.000If you're struggling with back pain, neck pain, shoulder, hip, or knee pain, even general muscle aches and pain, then I'm suggesting you order their three-week quick start, still discounted, only $19.95.
00:16:22.000So, so, so, Don, I want to get your reaction.
00:16:24.000There's been so much news here: Special Master abuse of the FBI, DOJ.
00:16:28.000Kind of just riff for a little bit on your take of the abuse of power from the federal government, the continuing targeting of your family and your father.
00:16:38.000Yeah, well, listen, I think, you know, obviously, you've seen all the details.
00:16:41.000I think the thing that a lot of people miss is, you know, what I read, you know, that they used the FBI's hostage rescue team.
00:16:48.000That's one of your thought maybe there was something here that isn't political, you realize that's the intimidation tactic.
00:16:56.000I mean, for those of you who are listening who don't understand, the hostage rescue team, the HRT, that's like the Delta force.
00:17:02.000That's the Navy feels of federal law enforcement.
00:17:05.000I don't even know that they've used the HRT like, you know, on American soil.
00:17:09.000So for them to be, you know, executing essentially a search warrant seems like something they've never been used before.
00:17:19.000You know, a tactic designed simply to intimidate a political enemy.
00:17:23.000You know, that to me was what was, you know, really crazy.
00:17:26.000You're seeing all this stuff right now where they're leaking pictures selectively to the press of documents throughout the floor that seem like they're stage documents to make this seem.
00:18:12.000So, you know, it doesn't surprise me anymore.
00:18:15.000I guess I've gotten so accustomed to this sort of stuff going on.
00:18:19.000But, you know, the FBI needs the HRT teams to raid Mar-a-Lago, even though they have documentation going back and forth that everyone's cooperating with one another.
00:18:28.000But, you know, the guys that are on the quote-unquote FBI radar, you know, they magically shoot up schools or do whatever they're going to do because they check some sort of politically correct box.
00:18:36.000We can't actually look at them, but we can persecute your grandmother because she's a conservative or your friend who happened to be within 500 miles of Washington, D.C. on January 6th.
00:18:48.000It's a disgrace what's happened to the FBI, how politicized they become and how they've been weaponized against conservatives.
00:18:55.000And I don't know how much longer this nonsense can continue.
00:18:58.000You watch the press secretary, I guess it was yesterday, talking about how Trump voters are the greatest threat to democracy we've ever faced.
00:19:08.00075 million people are the greatest threat to democracy.
00:19:11.000Not the mushmouth idiot that's actually occupying the White House, but someone who voted for someone that thought they'd do a better job.
00:19:18.000And that seems pretty obvious based on the facts.
00:19:20.000That's the greatest threat to democracy.
00:20:25.000I mean, are they just setting it up to like where they're going to start making sure that we wear our political affiliations on our sleeves and walk around?
00:20:33.000I mean, this historically has not ended well.
00:20:36.000All the names they've called us for so long seem to be the tactics actually employed by people throughout history that the left is doing right now.
00:20:44.000I mean, this does not bode well for our country.
00:20:47.000I hope that reason prevails, but it's like they're trying to goad people into taking on the government at this point.
00:21:09.000They'd actually be right for a change.
00:21:11.000But because it's the leftist, because they control every institution, because they own the media and big tech and everything like that, it's just going to be swept under rug, like it's nothing.
00:21:22.000But yes, I thought that the quintessential definition of democracy was people voting freely for who they think could do a better job.
00:21:30.000And if you compare Joe Biden's track record, despite sort of the sound bites from the same press secretary about the unprecedented economic recovery, I'm not sure I'm seeing that.
00:21:39.000I think anyone with a job or anyone who's filled up their tank or anyone who's been to a supermarket would probably disagree.
00:21:44.000But because the press has just given up on actually doing journalism and they're pure propagandists at this point, they'll just let it go and pretend as though the nonsense that they say is true.
00:21:57.000So it seems to me that everything coming out of this administration, while simultaneously preaching for unity, is trying to do the exact opposite of create unity.
00:22:35.000We had the governor, governor of New York, saying to Trump supporters, jump on a bus and head down to Florida where you belong.
00:22:43.000Now, Don, we could joke about this, but this is very serious where you have this kind of tearing apart a national divorce almost happening in slow motion.
00:22:53.000Your father and you are both saying, can we calm down the temperature here?
00:22:56.000But play cut one, the wonderful governor of New York, play cut one.
00:23:01.000And we're here to say that the era of Trump and Zeldon and Molinaro, just jump on a bus and head down to Florida where you belong, okay?
00:24:14.000And it's why I went and did a political fundraiser for Lee Zeldin, someone who believes in law and order, who wants to represent all people, who wants them in New York to be able to live their American dream, not this really, you know, previously effectively unelected official who's pretending to represent the values of New Yorkers.
00:24:34.000I think even actual New Yorkers, even Democrat New Yorkers are watching this stuff and saying, okay, now they're going too far.
00:24:40.000But again, because it's so easy to become radicalized, because you know you're going to have the boosting in the media.
00:24:47.000You know, you're going to get the campaign contributions from California and New York City.
00:24:51.000You know, it's just easy to take that approach while leaving regular, hardworking Americans by the wayside.
00:24:59.000I see it from Democrats who are shocked that the Biden administration would weaponize and use the FBI against their political enemies.
00:25:07.000But you haven't been watching the left if you're shocked about that.
00:25:10.000They just didn't think it'd be possible.
00:25:12.000You know, the party of unity, the party of tolerance is anything but, you know, it's a wonderful soundbite for them, and the press will carry their water pretending it's so.
00:25:22.000But if you actually listen to their, you know, their actions, if you actually look at their policy, it's anything but.
00:25:27.000And hopefully people are waking up to that because we're living in a very scary time right now.
00:25:47.000And for those brave right-wing Americans who say it's all about shaping America, you're keeping America's independent and safe, if you want to fight against your country, you need an F-15.
00:25:59.000You need something a little more than a gun.
00:26:04.000Well, listen, it's sort of interesting watching Joe Biden try to mock anyone for anything since the guy can't even get through a complete sentence.
00:26:11.000I mean, you got a mush brain president in the later stages of dementia.
00:26:30.000But it literally sounds like he's doing that and threatening ordinary citizens, people who believe in their Second Amendment, that they're going to have to go up against the F-15.
00:26:38.000I mean, that's why the Second Amendment is so important because clowns like this and the left, if you think they're acting anything other than as a dictatorship would be, that's why we have to fight so hard to preserve these rights.
00:26:50.000I'm saying to do that peacefully, to do that voting, but we can't sit by and hope that they're going to do the right thing because to me, it's all one big power grab under the guise of freedom.
00:27:06.000So, you know, watching Joe Biden feebly attempt to try to goad people into a fight, that's what it seems like to me.
00:27:11.000Again, I hope that's not the case, but threatening citizens, if they believe in their Second Amendment rights, they're going to have to be able to take on an F-15.
00:27:20.000I mean, man, that's stupid even for Joe Biden.
00:27:23.000And, you know, God, it doesn't get much dumber.
00:27:51.000Uncle Tom 2 offers a compelling and brave analysis of the true history of black America.
00:27:56.000It talks about the cultural shift from prosperity, integrity, and faith to its current perceived state of anger, discontent, and victimhood.
00:28:05.000Uncle Tom 2 offers historical footage, photos, correspondence, and data to reveal the genuine strides of black America in the 20th century, the deliberate Marxist strategy to create racial tension and replace God with government, the NAACP's sinister agenda, the truth behind Black Lives Matter, and more.
00:28:22.000Don't miss Uncle Tom 2 from executive producer Larry Elder and director Justin Malone.
00:28:26.000With Brandon Tatum, Vodie Bockham, and Chad O'Jackson, watch the movie on demand and buy the DVD now at SalemNow.com.
00:31:52.000One of the selling points of modernity, one of the kind of compelling reasons why all of us have to work so hard and keep this kind of thing, this whole thing afloat, is you get to live longer.
00:32:06.000If you kind of look at the charts of the people that defend free markets, and obviously I'm one of them, but the people that like almost pathologically defend markets at all costs, they say, well, we're living longer than ever before, and we're living longer than we did in the early 1900s.
00:32:21.000Now, if you actually take out infant mortality and pregnancy-related deaths, life expectancy has only moderately increased over the last 50 years, but it's still legit.
00:32:32.000But now that life expectancy is going down, and the last time life expectancy went down was during the height of World War II, we should probably take a pause and say, what the heck is going on?
00:32:45.000The Center for Disease Control and Prevention officials blame COVID-19 for about half the decline in 2021, a year where vaccinations became widely available, blah, Okay.
00:33:32.000You lock down the entire country unnecessarily for two years.
00:33:36.000But its decline in 2020, 2021 will stand as the first two consecutive years of declining life expectancy.
00:33:43.000Life expectancy for women in the United States dropped about 10 months from just under 10, from just under 80 years.
00:33:50.000Maybe our leaders should be more concerned about why life expectancy is declining rapidly more than the MAGA base are sending money to Ukraine.
00:34:02.000If your country seems to not care when life expectancy goes down, you need new leaders.
00:34:12.000Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
