00:00:00.000 This episode is brought to you by our friends who can protect your data and anonymize your activity at expressvpn.com slash Charlie.

00:00:10.000 E-X-P-R-E-S-S V-P-N.com slash Charlie.

00:00:14.000 Protect yourself against big tech and big brother.

00:00:19.000 I'm Alex Marlow, editor-in-chief of Breitbart News.

00:00:22.000 Thrilled to be filling in for my friend Charlie Kirk on the Charlie Kirk show today.

00:00:26.000 On the show, we break down the gas crisis.

00:00:29.000 Why it's Joe Biden's fault and his incompetent cabinet secretaries are responsible, the attack on Israel, why it proves Trump right and why it matters to you.

00:00:38.000 And I give you details on my forthcoming book, Breaking the News, which is out Tuesday.

00:00:42.000 I did a deep dive investigation into the establishment press, and you'll never think of the corporate media the same way again if you read it.

00:00:49.000 Peter Schweitzer calls it a must-read.

00:00:51.000 I humbly agree.

00:00:52.000 You can check that out wherever books are sold.

00:00:54.000 Buckle up.

00:00:55.000 Here we go.

00:00:56.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.

00:00:58.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.

00:01:00.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.

00:01:03.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.

00:01:06.000 I want to thank Charlie.

00:01:07.000 He's an incredible guy.

00:01:08.000 His spirit, his love of this country.

00:01:10.000 He's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.

00:01:17.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.

00:01:26.000 That's why we are here.

00:01:29.000 My name is Alexander Marlowe.

00:01:30.000 I'm editor-in-chief of Breitbart News, and I'm thrilled to be here for my good friend Charlie Kirk today, who is on a vacation.

00:01:36.000 Now, I told you I personally insisted Charlie take a vacation because, Charlie, you're overdue, buddy.

00:01:41.000 Let me just fill in.

00:01:42.000 I'm a satellite radio guy typically in SiriXM Patriot.

00:01:45.000 I'm the morning drive host over there on their one conservative station, which is SiriusXM 125, the Patriot channel.

00:01:51.000 Charlie's been kind enough to guest on my show and fill in for me.

00:01:54.000 And I'm thrilled to return the favor.

00:01:56.000 He's built an incredible platform, and I'm a regular listener to the Charlie Kirk podcast.

00:02:00.000 And Charlie and I go way back.

00:02:02.000 It is amazing because I was on the verge of hiring Charlie at Breitbart.com.

00:02:08.000 And he said that this Turning Point USA thing is just getting a little bit bigger than I had anticipated.

00:02:14.000 It's probably about eight, nine years ago, I would say.

00:02:17.000 And he said, I'm going to roll with that for a little bit, but let's circle back up in a few years, see how it's going.

00:02:22.000 Well, I guess history has spoken in that regard.

00:02:26.000 Turning Point USA is a behemoth, and we're thrilled to support it at Breitbart.com and to support all the great students who are connected to Charlie.

00:02:33.000 So again, thrilled to be here.

00:02:35.000 And we have a lot of news to get to today.

00:02:37.000 I want to share with you guys some of the knowledge that I have at Breitbart.com.

00:02:43.000 The first thing I want to mention, though, at the outset, and again, thanks to those of you who are listening, and thanks to those of you who are checking this out on Breitbart.com's front page and on our Facebook page as well, where I think we're broadcasting live due to this very cool video setup they've got here in the studio.

00:02:59.000 But one thing I want to start with, and this is an amazing coincidence for me, is I have a book coming out on Tuesday, which is wildly coincidental because it fits in with so many of the topics.

00:03:08.000 It's called Breaking the News, and it is the subtitle, Exposing the Establishment Media's Hidden Deals and Secret Corruption.

00:03:17.000 And the reason why I think this is such an important topic is because I spent one year doing a deep dive into corporate media, into the establishment media.

00:03:26.000 And really what I try to illustrate with this book, and I think if you pick it up, I think you will never look at the media the same way again, is I emphasize all of the filters that are put on all the news that you see.

00:03:36.000 And a lot of you know that the media swings liberal.

00:03:39.000 They're left of center.

00:03:41.000 They have a liberal bias.

00:03:42.000 Well, it goes so much more beyond that.

00:03:44.000 It goes into the point where they are framing their news to set an agenda.

00:03:49.000 And I think this fits in very nicely in terms of what is the news of the day, because it is no longer just about a left-right divide.

00:03:56.000 It is about moving the news in order to put it in a direction that sets a narrative.

00:04:01.000 And this narrative is something that benefits these corporations that are in charge of everything you read and everything that you see and much of what you listen to as well.

00:04:10.000 And so, a couple of the revelations that you're going to see in this book is deep ties between the Chinese government and the elite American media.

00:04:18.000 Now, I'll tell you that this fits in well with what's going on in the news right now.

00:04:22.000 Because, again, there's all this discussion about where was the origin of the coronavirus.

00:04:26.000 Do we even remember that the Chinese coronavirus was from China?

00:04:30.000 So much of America does not contemplate that.

00:04:33.000 The next thing that's in there, tricks the media use to contort every story to fit its agenda.

00:04:39.000 And what I mean by this is, I give you a code that you can break down.

00:04:42.000 When you're reading a story in the New York Times, you're not just reading a story, you're reading spin.

00:04:47.000 And I give you the codes to be able to break down what you're reading and when, meaning if it's a front page story on a narrative that is not a left of center, pro-globalist, pro-corporatist narrative, it's going to be framed differently than something that is a pro-America first MAGA narrative, if that story even makes it.

00:05:06.000 I give you some of the tools.

00:05:07.000 One thing that Charlie was very excited about the last time we spoke, you're going to get to meet the big tech heiress who bought the institutional left and became the new Soros.

00:05:16.000 So that is an amazing thing that you will learn if you pick up the book on Tuesday.

00:05:20.000 And I don't think you'll be able to avoid this one.

00:05:22.000 I think once this comes out, people are going to be talking about it as well as so much more.

00:05:26.000 And I'll get into some of that throughout the day.

00:05:28.000 But again, go to, if you go to alexmarlow.com, you could pick it up today.

00:05:32.000 And I'm very appreciative for the time to plug away at this.

00:05:35.000 And it's very kind of Charlie to give me the platform to do so.

00:05:38.000 But I think this will wildly change the way you look at media and news.

00:05:41.000 And I think you'll learn a lot.

00:05:42.000 A year of investigative research, Peter Schweitzer, who is the top investigative journalist, I believe in America, says that everyone wants to criticize the media, but not many have the goods.

00:05:52.000 Alex Marlowe drops fact after fact in this devastating, devastating portrait, a must read.

00:05:57.000 So I think you guys won't be able to miss it.

00:05:59.000 And I will be back on Charlie's show to talk about it when it's out on Tuesday.

00:06:04.000 So if you want to show some support, I highly appreciate it because we don't want this to get canceled.

00:06:09.000 Canceled culture is real.

00:06:10.000 Canceled culture is legitimate.

00:06:12.000 And they're not going to want this book out because it gives away so many of their tricks, their tricks. 0.64

00:06:17.000 Like, for example, how the coronavirus became God's gift to the left.

00:06:22.000 And we see it today with so much of the control that is taking place by our federal government.

00:06:27.000 And the coronavirus has become so much less about science and so much more about trying to set a narrative where the government controls you.

00:06:35.000 And now the corporations control you as well.

00:06:37.000 If you think the vaccine passports or the mask mandates have been more emphasized by the government, I disagree.

00:06:45.000 I think it's more about the corporations.

00:06:47.000 The government has given us recommendations like the CDC, I think increasingly less credible over time.

00:06:53.000 As time's gone on, I think that these recommendations have been become clear with the masks at the start.

00:07:00.000 You were not supposed to wear masks, then you had to wear masks.

00:07:03.000 And now we're at the point where even if you're vaccinated, you're supposed to wear a mask outside.

00:07:08.000 Did you guys catch the latest CDC guidelines that came out where they were actually recommending even if you've been vaccinated, then you should still be wearing a mask outside in certain circumstances.

00:07:19.000 And now they're confused about that.

00:07:20.000 Fauci was out there yesterday suggesting, well, maybe you shouldn't wear masks outside, but they're not clear.

00:07:27.000 And why aren't they clear?

00:07:28.000 Because the chaos is used as an excuse for the establishment left and the Democratic Party, who is in charge, to try to control more of your freedoms and to control your mind.

00:07:38.000 And this is the thing.

00:07:39.000 All we need is some consistency.

00:07:41.000 All we need is some incentive.

00:07:42.000 And all we need is some clarity.

00:07:44.000 But we've gotten so far away from the science and so towards better safe than sorry or listen to the government at all times.

00:07:52.000 Listen to the establishment at all times.

00:07:54.000 Do not question.

00:07:55.000 Just blindly go through life.

00:07:57.000 Put on your face diaper.

00:07:58.000 Never take it off, even if you've been vaccinated.

00:08:00.000 So, why would you want to get vaccinated if you don't get any privileges for it?

00:08:04.000 Well, just trust them.

00:08:05.000 Just trust Dr. Fauci.

00:08:07.000 Just trust the CDC.

00:08:09.000 Just trust Rochelle Walensky.

00:08:12.000 All these people I'll be coming back to throughout the show today.

00:08:14.000 And I will also be pointing out some good news.

00:08:17.000 And a lot of that comes out of Florida with Governor DeSantis, who is now, he is now giving people clemency.

00:08:23.000 He's pardoning anyone who's been charged for defying the COVID rules, the coronavirus rules, the Chinese virus rules.

00:08:29.000 This is very cool stuff.

00:08:30.000 And a lot of people who had actually been charged with crimes for doing things that were simply free will, stuff that we used to associate in America with the essence of our country, freedom, individualism, those became crimes for a moment in time over the last year.

00:08:48.000 And DeSantis pardoned a bunch of these people.

00:08:50.000 First of all, let's play a clip of Dr. Anthony Fauci, Saint Anthony Fauci, the man who has masked up a nation and a planet over the last year or so and loves him some TV time.

00:09:03.000 In fact, I think I saw Fauci in some of my home movies.

00:09:05.000 I was videotaping my children who are two and a half and one walk around the house.

00:09:10.000 My one-year-old now just started walking.

00:09:12.000 He looks like he's had about six twisted T's every time he starts walking, but it's adorable.

00:09:18.000 And then lo and behold, there's Fauci in the video.

00:09:20.000 Let's hear him on Chuck Todd's show on NBC.

00:09:22.000 Go ahead.

00:09:24.000 And are we going to essentially, but is the mask going to be something we have with us in a seasonal aspect?

00:09:32.000 You know, that's quite possible.

00:09:34.000 I think people have gotten used to the fact that wearing masks clearly, if you look at the data, diminishes respiratory diseases.

00:09:42.000 All right.

00:09:42.000 So it's possible that we're going to have seasonal masking.

00:09:45.000 Now, here is a clip of Fauci that we have.

00:09:48.000 Let's play clip number 70, guys.

00:09:50.000 This is not the same answer here.

00:09:52.000 Go ahead.

00:09:53.000 If you were going into a completely crowded situation where people are essentially falling all over each other, then you wear a mask.

00:10:01.000 But any other time, if you're vaccinated and you are outside, put aside the mask.

00:10:07.000 You don't have to wear it.

00:10:08.000 But this is the contradictions that people are getting sick of because Fauci is saying that you can take your mask off if you're outside, but if you're not socially distanced, then the vaccination might not do enough.

00:10:22.000 What is this messaging?

00:10:23.000 You would think this is actually an anti-vax messaging because it's sending a signal.

00:10:28.000 The vaccine is not adequate for you to go outdoors without a mask on, which I don't know how many of you have been going outdoors without masks on over the last several months because there are states, places like Florida and places like Texas that have been widely open.

00:10:42.000 Remember, Florida opened up Disney World about nine months ago and did not see any massive spread of the virus, despite the media insisting that it would happen.

00:10:51.000 And now we're talking about if you're vaccinated, maybe still you should be wearing your mask outside sometimes.

00:10:58.000 And we could also be having masks at a seasonal level.

00:11:01.000 Now, let's hear from this is the CDC director, Rochelle Walensky, on Chris Fredo Cuomo's show on CNN.

00:11:09.000 Let's hear what she has to say.

00:11:10.000 This is cut 68, guys.

00:11:12.000 Go.

00:11:13.000 What data do you have that suggests you need to go slow before you let people completely unmask and live their lives if they've gotten the vaccine?

00:11:22.000 Well, you know, we know that data are emerging, have been emerging with regard to the variants, specifically the UK variant, the Brazil variant.

00:11:31.000 With those variants here, we do want to make sure that those data are going to be out and demonstrate that our vaccines will work.

00:11:38.000 And I'm looking forward to updating our guidance very soon.

00:11:41.000 So they can't even update the guidance.

00:11:43.000 So it might be unsafe for vaccinated people to unmask outdoors, according to the CDC director.

00:11:49.000 Right, as Fauci says, if you're outside and you've been vaccinated, you don't have to wear a mask unless you can't socially distance, then you do have to put the mask back on.

00:11:58.000 This is so inconsistent, and that is part of the problem.

00:12:01.000 If they would like Americans to start being unified on the topic, it feels entirely political.

00:12:08.000 And people on the left have made it political, even though it's so clear that the masks, the places that had the most masks, did not necessarily do better with the virus.

00:12:17.000 And how could that be?

00:12:19.000 It's because the institutions have lost so much credibility.

00:12:22.000 The institutions have come to a place where when we hear something coming out of the CDC, we hear something coming out of a Dr. Fauci, then we don't know whether or not it is a political statement or whether or not it's a scientific statement.

00:12:35.000 And I'll tell you, those of you who live your life and have not been sequestered in a bubble for the last year, which I'm sure most of you haven't, then you know, I notice stuff like I'm walking around my neighborhood with my children, and there's a soccer game, a bunch of seven-year-olds out there.

00:12:50.000 And I've noticed the breakdowns, typically about a third of the seven-year-olds wearing masks, a third of the seven-year-olds not wearing masks, and about a third of the seven-year-olds wearing the mask improperly.

00:13:00.000 My favorite example recently was I saw a kid, he had one of those heavy-duty, stiff paper painters' masks, the things you would see painters wear around your house.

00:13:09.000 But he had taken the ear strap and he'd actually wrapped it around his forehead and was wearing it like a visor.

00:13:15.000 So I don't know if Dr. Fauci thinks that's an adequate usage of the mask, but no one will clarify what is the truth, what is necessary, and what is something that is just these bureaucrats who live for power trying to use whatever crisis they have available to them to try to make it so that more Americans lose freedoms to be subservient to the collective.

00:13:37.000 That is what it appears to be.

00:13:38.000 That's why they can't message on the masks.

00:13:41.000 And this connects very well to the rest of the news items with an encroaching government.

00:13:48.000 Look, by now, you've all heard me talk about My Pillow and how Mike has done it again by introducing his My Slippers.

00:13:54.000 Mike Lindell, he's got a lot of ambition.

00:13:57.000 He's a patriot.

00:13:58.000 He loves his country.

00:13:59.000 A lot of people like Mike Lindell.

00:14:01.000 In fact, I get emails from people.

00:14:02.000 They say, Charlie, how can I help you?

00:14:04.000 How can I help Mike Lindell?

00:14:05.000 How can I help the country?

00:14:07.000 Well, if you go to mypillow.com and buy anything with the promo code Kirk, it helps both of us.

00:14:13.000 Maybe you want to go buy the My Pillow slippers.

00:14:13.000 That's right.

00:14:17.000 They're beautiful slippers.

00:14:18.000 Maybe you want to buy the My Pillow, My Pillow.

00:14:21.000 My Pillow Slippers are so comfortable that you want to get some for the whole family.

00:14:25.000 So go to mypillow.com and click on the Radio Listener Square and use promo code Kirk.

00:14:37.000 Or call 800-875-0425 and use promo code Kirk. 0.59

00:14:43.000 I think this Israel story is interesting because it is one of these things where if it gets worse, if it spirals out of control, then the implications for Americans actually do grow. 0.67

00:14:53.000 And you see the sides and the lines that people are drawing.

00:14:56.000 Where Andrew Yang put out a very simple tweet on behalf of the Israelis who have, quote, come under bombardment attacks and condemn the Hamas terrorists.

00:15:05.000 The people of NYC will always stand with our brothers and sisters in Israel who face down terrorism and persevere.

00:15:10.000 And he had to walk it back because the canceled mob came for him, as did Gal Gadot, the actress who is Israeli.

00:15:18.000 She plays Wonder Woman, and she said something nice and then she came under attack.

00:15:23.000 And then we're looking at anti-Israel marches breaking out in Chicago, Israeli flags being burned and synagogues attacked in Germany, Arab riots boiling over in Israel itself.

00:15:34.000 Because remember, there are Arabs who can live comfortably in Israel.

00:15:37.000 Where can the Jews live in the region other than Israel? 0.78

00:15:40.000 Not many places, if any. 0.99

00:15:42.000 And while they shout, Allahu Akbar, and a man gets stabbed, a Jewish man. 1.00

00:15:46.000 This is the type of stuff where things get, I think, so much more muddied, so much more chaotic.

00:15:51.000 And this is why the Biden administration made such a big mistake by sending a signal that America's guard is down and that Israel is going to be left to its own defenses. 0.82

00:16:00.000 They've also empowered Iran with their various deals, who is the funder of all things evil in the region. 0.89

00:16:06.000 It is true. 1.00

00:16:07.000 And that's the bottom line.

00:16:08.000 And that's why I think this is such a big deal.

00:16:10.000 And yet you have folks who have been pro-Israel for most of their lives, namely this never Trump contingent of the Republican Party, who is focused on other stuff, focus on non-news items, like, for example, the ouster of Liz Cheney from Republican leadership, which affects people's lives almost not at all.

00:16:28.000 Liz Cheney was someone who voted with Trump a lot, but then turned on him during the impeachment.

00:16:34.000 And she didn't understand that you can't lead a party that sees themselves at war, figuratively speaking, with the left.

00:16:41.000 And they see our party, the Republican Party, the conservative movement, as people who are under constant attack, bombardments of attacks from the left on a 24-7 basis.

00:16:52.000 And she threw down with them.

00:16:54.000 And she continues to do so.

00:16:56.000 She will not back down.

00:16:57.000 We've got some clips to this effect.

00:17:00.000 Let's play one. 0.93

00:17:02.000 Let's do 50.

00:17:03.000 Can we play clip 50, folks?

00:17:05.000 Go ahead.

00:17:07.000 I will do everything I can to ensure that the former president never again gets anywhere near the Oval Office.

00:17:16.000 We have seen the danger that he continues to provoke with his language.

00:17:22.000 We have seen his lack of commitment and dedication to the Constitution.

00:17:26.000 And I think it's very important that we make sure whomever we elect is somebody who will be faithful to the Constitution.

00:17:33.000 And she's seen as a part of the old school Republican Party that was a warmongering party.

00:17:38.000 And whether or not that's exaggerated a bit, maybe it is.

00:17:40.000 But for the most part, that is how the old school Republican establishment and Democrat establishment for a large measure is seen that way as people who can't stop but get us into wars and leave us into wars forever.

00:17:52.000 And so she already was someone who is probably on the precipice of becoming unpopular within the party. 0.74

00:17:57.000 And then she not only turns on Trump, she's losing her leadership role.

00:18:00.000 She's losing her power.

00:18:01.000 And still, she doesn't back down.

00:18:04.000 She is completely defiant from her own people who have said, hey, Liz, you got to cut this out.

00:18:10.000 Trump is not the problem here.

00:18:12.000 The problem is the left in this country.

00:18:13.000 The problem is the globalist corporatist establishment that is encringing on our freedoms, encroaching on our freedoms on a constant basis.

00:18:20.000 And your priorities are completely in the toilet.

00:18:23.000 And this expands to the whole never Trump movement, who again were pro-Israel until all of a sudden Trump became the master of Middle East foreign policy.

00:18:31.000 Then once Trump perfected it, then all of a sudden they don't care about Israel anymore.

00:18:35.000 And what are they tweeting about?

00:18:36.000 This narrative about Liz Cheney.

00:18:37.000 The Liz Cheney stuff was a total distraction by the establishment, by the establishment media. 0.86

00:18:42.000 The Republican Party had an internal debate.

00:18:44.000 It was overwhelming.

00:18:45.000 People wanted Cheney to go.

00:18:47.000 Cheney has gone.

00:18:48.000 They will replace her with someone who understands that fighting with the left is a number one priority, someone who backs down because they are pressured by the left and the establishment media is not in a position to lead the Republican Party at this time.

00:19:01.000 Whoever that person is, probably Elise Stefanik, who's not a perfect person, but is someone who at least gets that, gets the media war that we're in, the ideological cultural war that we're in.

00:19:10.000 Once someone like that is capped, then that person will do probably a fine job.

00:19:14.000 But these people who think that the Republican base gives a, I gives a care about what CNN and the Washington Post have to say, or even the political establishment has to say, they don't.

00:19:26.000 And if you want to hold your guns and attack Trump and add on to the million people that attack Trump, you're going to lose the faith of the Republican voter base.

00:19:36.000 It doesn't matter what your politics are or who you voted for.

00:19:39.000 Everyone should have the right to express themselves freely.

00:19:42.000 Sadly, the big tech monopoly has instead opted for censorship.

00:19:45.000 To fight back against big tech's control of the internet, I use ExpressVPN.

00:19:50.000 Free to access tech giants make all of their money by tracking your searches, video history, and everything you clicked on, then selling off your sensitive data.

00:19:56.000 When you use the ExpressVPN app on your computer or phone, you anonymize much of your online presence by hiding your IP address.

00:20:03.000 That makes your activity much more difficult to trace and sell to advertisers.

00:20:06.000 What's more, ExpressVPN encrypts 100% of your network's data to protect you from cyber criminals.

00:20:12.000 And it just takes one click to protect all your devices.

00:20:14.000 That's why ExpressVPN, that's right, ExpressVPN is rated number one by CNET and wired.

00:20:20.000 Revoke big tech's right to your data.

00:20:22.000 Visit expressvpn.com slash kirk.

00:20:31.000 That's expressvpn.com slash Kirk for three extra months free.

00:20:40.000 I've been in Washington for about eight years, and one thing that I've learned is that the swamp culture really is real.

00:20:46.000 It was not just a talking point from President Trump.

00:20:50.000 And you saw some of that in what I was playing at the end of the last hour with Liz Cheney and about how she still sticks to her guns, even though it was so clear that she was costing herself massive amounts of political capital.

00:21:01.000 But she had to attack Trump. 0.97

00:21:03.000 She couldn't resist.

00:21:04.000 And this is because Washington, in a way, is a single party town.

00:21:08.000 It is not just the Democrat Party, it's the establishment party.

00:21:11.000 And these are people who scratch each other's backs on such a constant basis that people change over time and they can't resist it.

00:21:19.000 And one person that comes to mind at the moment, the guy named Ken Buck, who wrote a bill, who wrote a book that was supposed to be about draining the swamp.

00:21:27.000 He's a congressman from Colorado.

00:21:29.000 And he was one of the few Republicans who supported Liz Cheney.

00:21:32.000 And Buck is also behind a bill right now that it's making its way through the House.

00:21:38.000 We don't know how far along it's going to get, but it's called the Journalism Competition and Preservation Act.

00:21:44.000 And this is a Democrat-backed bill with a couple of Republicans who've signed on, though I've spoken to some of their shops and many of them think that this was not the bill that was promised to them.

00:21:55.000 But the bill that would allow for big media companies to organize kind of like a union and collectively bargain to get paid by the tech oligarchs in Silicon Valley.

00:22:06.000 And these tech oligarchs, what they would do is they would cut a deal with whoever they felt like and these union, this union would form.

00:22:14.000 And who would be the most powerful people in the union?

00:22:16.000 It would be the corporate media, the exact same people that discourage independent journalism, that discourage independent voices like Breitbart and all of your favorite individual podcasts and all of your favorite sub stack subscriptions that you guys are getting.

00:22:29.000 All of those people are going to be disenfranchised.

00:22:31.000 And you know who's going to be in there?

00:22:32.000 It's going to be the biggest news conglomerates on the planet are going to be cutting deals.

00:22:37.000 And you got this guy, Ken Buck, is the guy who's pushing it across the finish line.

00:22:40.000 He's trying to.

00:22:41.000 And this is something that is so outrageous.

00:22:43.000 But when you understand Washington, you understand how this stuff is possible.

00:22:47.000 You understand that there are people who are always going to be beholden, not just to the almighty dollar, which is of course a factor, but the people who back their campaigns, the people who give them support.

00:22:58.000 And eventually these people come around and say, okay, now it's time for us to get ours.

00:23:02.000 And this is a perfect example with this bill right now.

00:23:05.000 So all of you who are so inclined, feel free to reach out to your congress people.

00:23:08.000 Make sure that they're aware of this, this Journalism Competition and Preservation Act, which actually will do the exact opposite, as is so often the case.

00:23:18.000 It will enshrine and entrench the corporate media with more power and it will disenfranchise upstart independent voices out there.

00:23:25.000 They will have less of a say in our media because the big tech giants in Silicon Valley, we refer to those as the masters of the universe at Breitbart.

00:23:33.000 They will get to just display more of your results are going to be tailored to These deals they cut with the corporate establishment.

00:23:42.000 I go into a lot of detail about some of the stuff in the book Breaking the News, and I explain exactly how the big tech oligarchs, I won't say stole the election from Donald Trump, but I will say that if it was not for Silicon Valley and their manipulation, he would for sure have won his second term.

00:24:00.000 And part of the reason why it didn't happen is because Republicans did not push forward any sort of meaningful legislation or regulation that could have rolled back the power of big tech or broken them up in the run-up to 2020.

00:24:12.000 So it's not as simple as just saying it was stolen.

00:24:14.000 But I'll tell you right now, the oppression of accurate stories about Hunter Biden, the oppression of accurate stories that would have made Joe Biden look bad on Twitter and Facebook, for example.

00:24:26.000 In the meantime, Google in early 2020 turned down 100% of Breitbart's traffic on stories about Joe Biden.

00:24:35.000 If you can imagine that, we were getting, unless, of course, you use the word Breitbart in the Google search, but if you were searching for Joe Biden, the chances of you getting a Breitbart story ever was virtually zero.

00:24:46.000 And we're supposed to expect that is a some sort of that's supposed to be some sort of a coincidence.

00:24:51.000 If you look at Amazon.com-owned Alexa.com, which ranks traffic, Breitbart is consistently among the top five pure news sites in terms of traffic across the world.

00:25:00.000 And how we could never rank on Joe Biden's stories when we've broken some of the biggest stories, particularly with Peter Schweitzer, one of our senior editors, and who I believe is the top investigative reporter working in America today.

00:25:12.000 It's the we've led the way of many of the Hunter Biden stories.

00:25:15.000 The New York Post broke a sensational bomb sell shell after sensational bombshell.

00:25:19.000 And if you tried to tweet these things or put them on Facebook, you would either get a note that they were inaccurate or disinformation, or they would just get censored entirely.

00:25:29.000 And who knows about the shadow banning, which takes place as well.

00:25:32.000 All of this stuff is out there for you.

00:25:34.000 And I break so much of it down in breaking the news.

00:25:36.000 And you'll want to be fluent in this stuff so we know how to go forward.

00:25:39.000 So we know how to go forward.

00:25:40.000 So we don't make the same mistakes that we've made in the past.

00:25:44.000 And we hold the left accountable for what they're doing, which is using every rule and regulation they possibly can in order to get more power for themselves.

00:25:53.000 And sadly, there are too many Republicans who are letting them do it.

00:25:56.000 And this is one of the lessons that I've come to learn over the last year of deep research.

00:26:00.000 So if you go to breakingthenewsbook.com, you can get an autograph copy.

00:26:04.000 It's very cool.

00:26:05.000 If you go to alexmarlow.com, you can get it from wherever your favorite local bookseller is.

00:26:09.000 And I would love your support.

00:26:10.000 It would be an honor.

00:26:11.000 And I do think you'll learn a lot.

00:26:13.000 And if you're really so inclined, buy a couple, give it to someone who might not be on the right.

00:26:18.000 Give it to someone who might otherwise not get exposed to some of the ideas we talk about at Breitbart, some of the things that Charlie talks about in the conservative movement in general.

00:26:27.000 The biggest story right now that is going in America, and one that I'm going to spend a lot of time on over the rest of the show, is this gas crisis that's taking place. 0.72

00:26:36.000 And it is really making America resemble a third world nation.

00:26:39.000 And part of the reason why is because we have people who have no idea what they're doing who are in charge. 0.93

00:26:45.000 The lunatics have taken over the proverbial asylum.

00:26:48.000 And one such person is Pete Buttig. 0.95

00:26:52.000 I don't know how many edges he uses.

00:26:53.000 He uses multiple edges.

00:26:54.000 I always lose track.

00:26:55.000 Buttage Edge Edge.

00:26:56.000 Three edges.

00:26:57.000 I don't know.

00:26:57.000 Anyway, he's a guy who was running a small town a couple of years ago.

00:27:01.000 And then he was pretty, he was okay sprouting Democrat talking points on Morning Joe.

00:27:07.000 So they put him in charge of the transportation department.

00:27:09.000 I don't know if Pete knows how to fill in a pothole, but he's now in charge of all transportation for the United States.

00:27:14.000 And now we are in the biggest transportation crisis we've had since the Carter era when it comes to gasoline and massive gas shortages and lines for gasoline.

00:27:23.000 If you can even get gasoline in my neighborhood, it is out completely in Northern Virginia inside the Beltway swamp.

00:27:30.000 And not to mention, so much of the world relies on gas, so much of the country relies on gas beyond just using your cars.

00:27:36.000 But then you hear people like Jennifer Granholm, who is the energy secretary, who's kind of excited about it.

00:27:42.000 She says, if you drove an electric car, this would not be affecting you.

00:27:46.000 And now you see what the Green New Deal agenda is all about is they don't hate when there's a gasoline crisis.

00:27:52.000 They don't hate when gasoline is $3 a gallon.

00:27:55.000 Why would they hate it?

00:27:56.000 Because it illustrates the point they're trying to make, which is that we should be getting off of fossil fuels.

00:28:02.000 We should all be taking choo-choo trains to work, or we should be taking choo-choo trains on our vacation, and we should be hauling and shipping stuff across country via choo-choo train.

00:28:11.000 And once we have enough of a network of choo-choo trains that American taxpayers fund, then we'll be A-OK.

00:28:17.000 And those of you who want to drive a car or power a generator or power a lawnmower or do anything that requires gas, then you're actually part of the problem.

00:28:26.000 It's not the people who have interrupted America's energy sector the way it has been interrupted over the past week.

00:28:32.000 This is a very bad sign and is something that is only going to get worse because of our incompetent leadership unless people start getting involved.

00:28:39.000 And I'm talking about not just going to vote.

00:28:42.000 I'm talking about sharing content like this, like Charlie's show, like what we're doing at Breitbart, getting 10,000 people involved in the fight, getting involved in the action, getting them to call businesses, make sure that they're holding people accountable.

00:28:54.000 And let's start being a little more confrontational in a polite way with some people in our lives who voted for this stuff.

00:29:00.000 I had someone who reached out to me the other day who was just apoplectic, a private citizen, who had voted for Trump and was so alarmed that no one understands that if Joe Biden wasn't there, this stuff would not be happening.

00:29:13.000 This is a Joe Biden-induced crisis.

00:29:15.000 And this is exactly what many Americans voted for.

00:29:18.000 And we need to speak out and we need to speak up in a major way.

00:29:21.000 We need to do it right now.

00:29:24.000 With the ever-increasing numbers of makes, fiat Kia, and models, it is now impossible to stock all the parts you need on a traditional chain storefront.

00:29:31.000 Why endure often pointless or seemingly intimidating questioning and wait while the counterman orders the parts on his computer, choosing the only brand his warehouse happens to carry?

00:29:40.000 You have computers with access to rockauto.com at home and in your pocket.

00:29:44.000 Chain stores have different price tiers for professional mechanics and do-it-yourselfers.

00:29:48.000 Rockauto.com's prices are the same for everybody and are reliably low.

00:29:52.000 Rockauto.com always offers the lowest prices possible rather than changing prices based on what the market will bear like airlines do.

00:29:59.000 Rockauto.com is for everybody and does not require membership or account login.

00:30:03.000 Rockauto.com is a family business serving auto parts customers online for 20 years.

00:30:08.000 Go to rockauto.com to shop for auto and body parts from hundreds of manufacturers.

00:30:12.000 They have everything from engine, control modules and brake parts to tail lamps, motor oil, and even new carpet.

00:30:17.000 Whether it's for your classic or daily driver, get everything you need in a few easy clicks delivered directly to your door.

00:30:23.000 The rockauto.com catalog is unique and remarkably easy to navigate.

00:30:26.000 Quickly see all the parts available for your vehicle and choose the brand specifications and prices you prefer.

00:30:31.000 Go to rockauto.com right now to see all the parts available for your car or truck.

00:30:35.000 Write Charlie Kirk in there, how'd you hear about us section?

00:30:38.000 Amazing selection, reliably low prices, all the parts your car will ever need.

00:30:41.000 Rockauto.com.

00:30:45.000 I wanted to play some of the clips to comfort us in terms of how our incredible leadership from the Biden administration is handling this crisis with the colonial pipeline that has been shut down by hackers.

00:30:58.000 We are presuming the hackers are tied to Russia in some way.

00:31:01.000 I don't know if we'll ever know for sure.

00:31:02.000 I was told the Biden administration would be infinitely more responsible when it came to dealing with Russia, even though Trump was actually quite tough on Russia, aside from some of the nice things he said about Putin.

00:31:14.000 But again, art of the deal, important part of what Trump does.

00:31:17.000 But again, they're opening up the pipeline, I guess, at this point for a $5 million ransom, which just shows you how these are basically people who are rogue criminals who don't need much and could still interrupt the American energy sector and way of life so easily.

00:31:36.000 It's such a humiliation.

00:31:38.000 But let's see if there is some any there's some comfort Joe Biden can offer us.

00:31:42.000 Can we play clip 72, folks?

00:31:45.000 Thank you.

00:31:47.000 Were you opposing coming out of it today?

00:31:51.000 Which one of the 12 I've had?

00:31:53.000 I belong to the supervisor.

00:31:55.000 Infrastructure is there.

00:31:56.000 And in particular. 0.62

00:31:57.000 You guys are bad.

00:31:58.000 I'm not supposed to be answering all these questions.

00:32:00.000 I'm supposed to leave, but I can't resist your questions.

00:32:06.000 He's a funny boy, Biden, who's a thousand years old.

00:32:09.000 He's not supposed to be answering questions.

00:32:10.000 He's president of the United States.

00:32:12.000 Who is the person who is giving him these instructions that you're not supposed to answer the questions?

00:32:16.000 Who's in charge?

00:32:17.000 Who is the person who gave him that directive?

00:32:19.000 Do not answer questions?

00:32:21.000 And why don't more of us care about this? 1.00

00:32:23.000 It's not Kamala Harris.

00:32:24.000 I'll tell you that. 1.00

00:32:25.000 She's a total lightweight.

00:32:26.000 So who is the person who is giving Biden the orders not to answer questions?

00:32:30.000 And why is he taking these orders?

00:32:32.000 The country is in a crisis right now.

00:32:33.000 Please explain to us what's going on, Mr. Infrastructure.

00:32:36.000 See, the problem is that infrastructure became packing the Supreme Court.

00:32:40.000 That is what Mondair Jones said, a Democrat congressman from New York, that that's what infrastructure is. 0.98

00:32:46.000 Infrastructure is all the Green New Deal crap.

00:32:48.000 The infrastructure is not keeping our roads moving, our levies, our levies up to date, infrastructure, 5G. 0.78

00:32:58.000 That type of stuff is not what Biden's talking about.

00:33:01.000 Biden wants a Green New Deal.

00:33:03.000 And that's why he can't answer questions is because this stuff doesn't fit in with the Green New Deal narrative.

00:33:08.000 All right.

00:33:08.000 Now, let's hear what the genius, the man we are so blessed to have as our transportation secretary, former small town mayor, Pete Buttedge Edge Edge, 73.

00:33:18.000 We now see gas above $3 a gallon for the first time in seven years.

00:33:22.000 Bottom line, what's your message to Americans who are worried about how this is going to impact their wallet?

00:33:26.000 How long do you think this is going to last?

00:33:28.000 And do you think prices are going to go up even further?

00:33:31.000 Well, my message is that we understand these concerns, that we've seen that in a lot of the impacted geographies, that this is a real issue.

00:33:38.000 And that's one of the reasons why we've been working with every lever of government that's available and not the federal government as an island, but interacting with states and with companies to address this.

00:33:49.000 So, you know, I can't speak to long-term energy markets.

00:33:53.000 Oh, it's about energy markets, long-term energy markets.

00:33:55.000 I think you can speak to it just fine.

00:33:57.000 Cut with the Green New Deal baloney and let Americans use whatever energy source is available to them and is available on the free market.

00:34:05.000 How about that?

00:34:06.000 And while you're at it, why don't you open up some of the pipelines that you shut down?

00:34:10.000 And then maybe you could allow for us to do some more fracking in Pennsylvania, for example, and all these new contracts that have been slowed, if not stopped entirely by the Joe Biden administration.

00:34:19.000 Maybe that would be helpful right now.

00:34:21.000 I got to tell you, I don't have to drive a lot to work.

00:34:24.000 I work from home and for the most part, as much as I possibly can.

00:34:28.000 But I was out in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago visiting family and I would drive in to our headquarters, our world headquarters for Breitbart.

00:34:35.000 And I was there for maybe a week and a half and I spent about $210 on gas during that time.

00:34:39.000 Now, LA is a trafficky town, but it wasn't a particularly long commute.

00:34:44.000 And that's the sort of thing that is hammering not just middle America, but really the lower classes of America are the ones who are hit the hardest.

00:34:51.000 This is a regressive tax on Americans.

00:34:53.000 This is something that is penalizing the working class.

00:34:56.000 And Pete Buttigieg has no relationship to those people.

00:34:59.000 This is why it was so irresponsible and Republicans and conservatives were so correct to point out that this is not a toss-off position.

00:35:07.000 And this guy should not be in charge of our transportation department.

00:35:11.000 We have gas lines.

00:35:12.000 We have gas lines and shortages.

00:35:14.000 We haven't seen gas lines in 40 years.

00:35:16.000 Gas shortages were certain areas of the country completely out of gas.

00:35:19.000 The federal government had to issue a warning for Americans not to fill plastic bags with gas.

00:35:26.000 You guys have seen the photos on social media.

00:35:27.000 They're floating around.

00:35:29.000 The fact the United States government has to put out warnings, stop putting gas into plastic bags right now is a sign we are regressing towards third world status.

00:35:37.000 It's Biden's fault.

00:35:38.000 He needs to be held accountable right now.

00:35:43.000 In 1857, the SS Central, also known as the Gold Ship, sank with 9.1 tons of gold on board.

00:35:49.000 Valued at $2.1 million, that is the modern day equivalent to hundreds of millions of dollars, the greatest American treasure ever discovered at sea.

00:35:57.000 Today, Noble Gold, a California-based company with a pristine reputation, has a share of these coins available to their clients.

00:36:03.000 Over 7,000 gold coins, mostly $1, $5, and $20 gold coins from 1840, 1857 were recovered from the SS Central America shipwreck.

00:36:12.000 Most of these coins were from the ship of gold, were quickly acquired by private collectors when the coins were first brought to the market in 2000.

00:36:18.000 Now Noble Gold's clients can get this unforgettable part of American history at a fair, affordable valuation.

00:36:24.000 Contact Noble Gold and ask about the Kirk shipwreck deal.

00:36:27.000 To receive this unique offer, visit noblegoldinvestments.com and then call a Noble Gold representative to ask about the shipwreck coins.

00:36:33.000 It's time to tell better stories at your parties by showcasing a one-of-kind coins from collection destined to rise in value, noblegoldinvestments.com.

00:36:45.000 All right.

00:36:45.000 So we've got a clip here that I have to add to the pile to illustrate my point about Joe Biden and how he will not address reporters if it is inconvenient to him.

00:36:56.000 But more importantly, if whoever are his puppet masters don't want him to do it, then all of a sudden he'll start reeling it back.

00:37:04.000 Let's play clip 78, please.

00:37:06.000 Also very much.

00:37:15.000 I have no comment on that.

00:37:18.000 It's unbelievable.

00:37:19.000 This is the massive crisis engulfing the country.

00:37:21.000 Is it people can't get to work?

00:37:23.000 I was literally sucking gasoline out of my nanny's gas tank selfishly so I could use it for my family.

00:37:30.000 I was not doing that.

00:37:30.000 That's not true.

00:37:32.000 But this is the thing that's happening in the country.

00:37:33.000 We're filling up people outside.

00:37:35.000 Everyone's becoming a meme filling giant plastic tubs filled with gasoline if they can find it, which they can't do in much of the country.

00:37:43.000 And then you've got Joe Biden who won't comment on it.

00:37:46.000 We've regressed 40 years to third world country status in a matter of two days because a couple of or a handful of troublemakers online have shut down one of our pipelines.

00:37:58.000 This is such an embarrassment for the country.

00:38:01.000 And if we're smart, then we will think of this as a warning. 0.73

00:38:04.000 We will think of this as an opportunity for us to stop making infrastructure about politics and the Green New Deal and about court packing and start making it about whether or not we are protected and whether or not we are operating at an optimal level. 0.82

00:38:19.000 That is the point.

00:38:20.000 Give me the Jennifer Granholm clip, everyone, 79, if you would be so kind.

00:38:24.000 Obviously, are all in on making sure that we meet the president's goals of getting to 100% clean electricity by 2035 and net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

00:38:35.000 And, you know, if you drive an electric car, this would not be affecting you, clearly.

00:38:42.000 Jennifer, you're not supposed to say that.

00:38:44.000 This is the type of stuff that the talk show hosts are supposed to fill in the gap. 1.00

00:38:47.000 She's making my job too easy.

00:38:48.000 I have a book out on Tuesday, and I honestly believe it will change the way you think about media.

00:38:53.000 And not just bias.

00:38:55.000 This goes beyond bias.

00:38:56.000 This is about how media was weaponized against Donald Trump and his supporters.

00:39:00.000 And that's you guys.

00:39:01.000 And it tells the full picture of it after a year of investigations.

00:39:05.000 I think some of the stories that I will be revealing over the next few days, you will not be able to miss.

00:39:10.000 But to get the full picture, you should pick up the book.

00:39:13.000 Highly recommend it, breakingthenewsbook.com.

00:39:15.000 If you'd like a signed book, I'm doing a live signing on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Eastern time.

00:39:19.000 I'd love if you joined there.

00:39:21.000 You can get a signed book, ask a question, and it helps me beat folks like Elizabeth Warren, who why should she be selling books? 1.00

00:39:27.000 Her message is stupid and silly. 0.99

00:39:29.000 But one of the points I make is how the media was so determined to make Trump wrong about everything. 1.00

00:39:33.000 And one story that producer Andrew just flashed across my screen is that now all of a sudden Biden is interested in rebuilding at least parts of the border wall or continuing parts of the wall.

00:39:44.000 It's almost hard to believe that this is happening.

00:39:46.000 The crisis at the southern border is nothing to be laughed at.

00:39:49.000 It is getting worse by the minute because every time we don't address it, it is just more incentive for people in Central America in particular and these cartels that control so much of our border in really a lot of the regions at the very southernmost points of our own country.

00:40:05.000 Yes, that is right.

00:40:07.000 These horrible human smuggling, drug smuggling cartels are so often controlling American towns now at the southern tip of our country.

00:40:16.000 And whenever we don't address it and act like this is some sort of a political thing and not a national security thing, things are going to get so much worse because it sends a signal to the cartels.

00:40:25.000 It's game on.

00:40:26.000 So apparently certain parts of the wall, levee walls, levee walls are where you've got levees in the traditional sense.

00:40:33.000 They've got fencing on top of it typically.

00:40:35.000 They're pretty common if you go down to the border, as I have.

00:40:38.000 Those are back on.

00:40:40.000 But the United States Army Corps of Engineers has insisted that wall construction remains paused to extent permitted by law.

00:40:49.000 Per the Department of Homeland Security, we've started critical work to repair the Rio Grande Valley's flood levee, which was evacuated to make way for border wall.

00:40:59.000 This is remediation work and will not involve expanding border barrier.

00:41:04.000 And the reason why I kind of chuckle at this because they're going out of their way to say we're not building a wall.

00:41:08.000 They're really making a big point, even though they are rebuilding some wall and enhancing some wall.

00:41:13.000 They still want to say we're not doing it because they must make Trump wrong.

00:41:17.000 It must be that Trump was wrong when, of course, building the wall was correct.

00:41:21.000 Of course, any country without a border is not really a country.

00:41:24.000 It is really just a blob of geographical landmass that really has no sovereignty.

00:41:30.000 And if you're not, if you don't know who's coming in and out of your country, then is it even a country at that point?

00:41:36.000 And yet that is the desire of our political establishment in Washington.

00:41:40.000 And Trump was starting to prove with his Remain New Mexico policy, with these policies that were forcing would-be illegal migrants to illegal aliens to apply for asylum at consulates and embassies in their hometowns that have coming up to the United States.

00:41:55.000 All these things that Trump put into place, particularly in the last year of his administration, Biden just undid all of them.

00:42:00.000 And that's why we're having this crisis.

00:42:02.000 And our media is almost completely uninterested, aside from the fact that they kind of dig it.

00:42:06.000 They kind of like it.

00:42:07.000 And that's what's played out here.

00:42:09.000 And there are just too many stories to keep up with.

00:42:11.000 And that's why I always recommend you guys go to Breitpart.com.

00:42:13.000 But I do try to break down some of the motivations that people have at this time, because it is when you see this gas shortage and then you hear Biden administration officials suggesting this is potentially a good thing because it'll force people to take electric cars.

00:42:30.000 It's interesting, isn't it?

00:42:32.000 They're not fans of Israel.

00:42:33.000 Israel is now under attack.

00:42:35.000 Do you think they're really upset about that?

00:42:37.000 They're not fans of a border because they don't think Americans are that great.

00:42:40.000 Just look at the 1619 project.

00:42:42.000 Again, which I break down in incredible detail at Breaking the News in the new book out Tuesday.

00:42:47.000 You get audio book and however you even have audio CDs.

00:42:51.000 I think it's nine CDs.

00:42:52.000 It's a lot of CDs.

00:42:53.000 So you can get it however you prefer.

00:42:55.000 But I break down all the falsehoods, all the misinformation that has been allowed by our social media giants, just so long as it helps the globalist leftist corporate narrative.

00:43:05.000 And that is what we are at war with right now to try to get the truth out.

00:43:08.000 And they're just one crisis after the next.

00:43:10.000 And when you see the motivation and the agenda behind why these things are allowed to happen, you'll be able to see much more clearly about the media and about our political landscape at this time.

00:43:22.000 Thanks for listening and thanks for picking up the book, Breaking the News.
