00:02:54.000 We are in a state of national mourning as we should be.
00:02:57.000 And the Democrats are so despicable.
00:02:59.000 The Democrats are not lifting a finger to remember the well over 100 people that have died in Texas Hill Country.
00:03:09.000 What you are not being told by the media anywhere is that the death toll likely would not have been as high if it wasn't for DEI.
00:03:19.000 This Texas tragedy is just the latest example.
00:03:22.000 It's not just incompetence.
00:03:24.000 This is DEI working to undermine meritocratic institutions, and more people likely died than otherwise would have because of DEI.
00:03:35.000 Let me prove it to you.
00:03:36.000 In 2014, the Obama administration sued the Austin Fire Department about 11 years ago, Fire Union, for supposed racial discrimination, resulting in a settlement.
00:03:46.000 So the Obama administration was so worried that the fire department in Austin, Texas was racist, because, you know, when you're putting out fires, you got to make sure that you have a diverse fighting force.
00:03:57.000 All jokes aside, well, the pressure was on the city to prove its diversity credentials.
00:04:02.000 So a few years later, they picked Joel Baker as their first black fire chief.
00:04:07.000 He announced right away that promoting diversity is one of his top priorities.
00:04:11.000 They brought him in from Atlanta, and his priority was not putting out fires or being prepared for floods.
00:04:18.000 No, his priority was to make sure that the fire department was blacker.
00:04:23.000 Play cut 347.
00:04:24.000 This two-time fire chief wants to make a difference in the growing city of Austin and tells us he wants to start by bringing in more diversity.
00:04:32.000 It's important that the Austin Fire Department, as much as we can, reflect the community in which we serve.
00:04:38.000 But when you hire people based on race, you're not hiring based on skills.
00:04:42.000 So right now, Baker is facing a vote of no confidence by his union for, this is the key, for denying the pre-deployment of resources to Kerrville, Texas.
00:04:51.000 Now, Kerrville is in Texas Hill Country, which is west of Austin.
00:04:56.000 Austin has a monster fire department, and so his union, they wanted to pre-deploy resources to Kerrville, Texas.
00:05:04.000 But Baker apparently didn't act because of budgetary concerns.
00:05:09.000 Well, the only problem, the Austin Fire Department is fully reimbursed by the state of Texas for such deployments.
00:05:15.000 They tried explaining this to him, but he didn't quite comprehend the idea of reimbursement.
00:05:21.000 I don't think he knew the word reimbursement.
00:05:24.000 They decided, they sat down, they said, sir, this will be reimbursed.
00:05:27.000 And according to reports, is he didn't understand it.
00:05:29.000 The head of the Austin Fire Union, this is not me making up, said, quote, I explained the reimbursement process to Chief Baker last week, and he failed to understand this very simple concept.
00:05:40.000 You see, when you hire fire chiefs based on diversity, you get morons.
00:05:46.000 You don't get smart people.
00:05:47.000 Austin hired a DEI fire chief who could have saved an untold number of lives, but was unable to comprehend the simple concept of reimbursement.
00:05:58.000 You have to also wonder, there's another piece of tape here that we're going to play of the Democrats also saying that Camp Mystic was too white.
00:06:07.000 Literally, they said, oh, Camp Mystic was too light.
00:06:09.000 Other Democrat influencers are laughing and making light and fun of this online saying, well, all those Christian girls praying to Jesus, Jesus didn't save them.
00:06:18.000 This is the state of the wretched status of the modern Democrat Party.
00:06:24.000 But the Austin Fire Association has said that the fire chief Baker denied pre-deployment two days before floods began.
00:06:34.000 So they knew this flood was coming two days before.
00:06:36.000 Kerrville is not a major city.
00:06:38.000 It's growing, but it's not a major city.
00:06:41.000 And this is not random people accusing this DEI fire chief.
00:06:45.000 This DEI fire chief, that guy right there, he runs one of the biggest fire departments in Texas and one of the biggest in the country.
00:06:52.000 His own firefighters are accusing him of not understanding a very basic concept called reimbursement.
00:06:59.000 His own fire union is accusing him of this.
00:07:03.000 Let's trace this back.
00:07:04.000 This all started with the Obama administration.
00:07:06.000 Obama sued the Austin fire department saying, you guys are too white.
00:07:10.000 We're still facing the consequences of his disastrous DEI push.
00:07:14.000 And we here on the Charlie Kirk Show are one of the few programs that are actually covering this.
00:07:19.000 And let me say this as clearly as possible.
00:07:21.000 The death toll reaches at least 119 in the Texas floods with 173 missing.
00:07:27.000 This will be one of the most, the deadliest flooding incidents, catastrophes in the modern era.
00:07:35.000 How many people unnecessarily died because of DEI?
00:07:39.000 Well, you could rest easy because they say diversity is our strength.
00:07:43.000 And now those little girls are dead.
00:07:45.000 Those families are without their daughters.
00:07:47.000 But hey, you have a black fire chief in Austin.
00:07:52.000 You should be happy about that.
00:07:57.000 Private student loan debt in America totals over $300 billion.

00:08:45.000 Well, whyReFi can get them released from the loan.
00:08:47.000 That is whyrefi.com.
00:08:51.000 Okay, so Douglas Mackey.
00:08:54.000 Douglas is attorney came on the program, you might remember, because Joe Biden and his Department of Justice, one of the first things that he did, they decided to go after this poor young man, Douglas Mackey.
00:09:06.000 What was his crime?
00:09:07.000 Did he traffic children?
00:09:10.000 Did he burn down a Wendy's?
00:09:11.000 Did he shoot a police officer?
00:09:13.000 Did he murder his fellow citizen?
00:09:15.000 No, Douglas Mackey was the focus of the Biden Department of Justice because he made a meme.
00:09:23.000 PlayCut 345 up on screen.
00:09:25.000 That's right.
00:09:25.000 He made a joke back in the 2016 election.
00:09:28.000 We are now talking nine years later, Douglas Mackey is finally free.
00:09:32.000 And on the Twitter page, he said, avoid the line, vote from home.
00:09:37.000 Text Hillary to 59925.
00:09:40.000 A joke, of course.
00:09:41.000 Now, mind you, many Democrats have made this joke all the time, but they claimed that he was interfering with the election and that he was infringing on people's rights.
00:09:49.000 A KKK-era law that was a conspiracy to take away people's rights.
00:09:55.000 Well, legal experts say the following.
00:09:57.000 He got a unanimous second circuit ruling that his conviction was unjustified.
00:10:04.000 Even a Biden appointee ruled in our favor along with two George W. Bush appointees.
00:10:10.000 It's not as good as a rule we could have gotten.
00:10:13.000 The ideal ruling would have been, quote, there is no way you can take away someone's civil rights by posting a meme.
00:10:18.000 Instead, the court just ruled that the law in question requires a conspiracy.
00:10:24.000 And there's no evidence that Mackey was executing a conspiracy by posting memes.
00:10:30.000 But it's still a big win against one of the most sinister efforts of the Biden regime.
00:10:35.000 Now, let's just take a step back.
00:10:38.000 I know that there's a lot of people fired up about Epstein.
00:10:42.000 A lot of people fired up about all sorts of things.
00:10:45.000 If Kamala Harris would have won, this would have been 100x.
00:10:50.000 I know people don't want to hear it, but you need to hear it right now.
00:10:53.000 The Douglas Mackey being freed case is a great reminder and should be a reminder to you that we as a civilization dodged an enormous bullet.
00:11:04.000 We would be doing a show from a hidden bunker.
00:11:06.000 We'd probably be under indictment right now.
00:11:08.000 And you guys would be crowdsourcing my bail.
00:11:11.000 It would be dark times right now.
00:11:14.000 Homes would be raided.
00:11:15.000 Offices would be subpoenaed.
00:11:18.000 It would be a full-fledged police state that we'd be living in right now.
00:11:22.000 Instead, we get to have the freedom to have the Student Action Summit this weekend.
00:11:27.000 And yes, things can always be better.
00:11:30.000 I acknowledge it.
00:11:31.000 I agree with it.
00:11:32.000 And for people that are so fired up about what's happening, just understand there's a lot.
00:11:37.000 I'm having a lot of private conversations as well.
00:11:39.000 Not everything on the show is all that is happening.
00:11:42.000 But guys, take a step back.
00:11:43.000 Look at this Douglas Mackey situation.
00:11:45.000 You should count our blessings.
00:11:46.000 They would have done hundreds like this, thousands like this.
00:11:49.000 The entire Department of Justice would have been turned inward against the United States of America.
00:11:54.000 We know the police state that was popping up and emerging.
00:11:59.000 And praise the Lord, Douglas Mackey is free, and we can kind of rest easy that even though that things at times might not be exactly to the flavor or the taste that we would like, that we are in an unspeakably better position that President Donald Trump is in the White House.
00:12:19.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.

00:13:15.000 That's alanjackson.com/slash Charlie.
00:13:18.000 I'll see you there.
00:13:21.000 Joining right out of the gate, we have a terrific guest who's making stuff happen in the federal government.
00:13:27.000 I just want to get right to it, and we wanted to get her at the top of the show.
00:13:30.000 It's May Mailman, White House Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Policy Strategist.
00:13:35.000 May, great to see you.
00:13:36.000 May you have some news about California Title IX and also some Harvard subpoenas, and we need to keep the pressure on Harvard.
00:13:43.000 May, the floor is yours.
00:13:44.000 Walk us through it.
00:13:45.000 Yeah, so today, this morning at 9 a.m., we dropped a major lawsuit against California that would result in California losing $45 billion.
00:13:56.000 So it's funding for schools because California continues to violate Title IX.
00:14:01.000 Remember, Title IX says that you can have access to federal money, but you have to agree to a few basic things.
00:14:07.000 And one of those basic things is to not discriminate on the basis of sex.
00:14:12.000 If California is violating the rights of women by forcing them to shower and change with men and also compete against men if they're going to play sports, if they're going to play female athletics, then that is not equal opportunities for women and that violates Title IX.
00:14:28.000 So California has been warned repeatedly that this is going to happen and California is now going to get what it asks for.
00:14:36.000 So that is our big lawsuit this morning.
00:14:38.000 And so this is, I want to play cut 351.
00:14:40.000 This is when I joined the Gavin Newsom podcast when he wanted to have me on the show while his state is falling apart and I happily obliged.
00:14:48.000 This is 351 where Gavin Newsom said that, well, trans athletes are unfair.
00:14:52.000 So which is it, Gavin Newsom?
00:14:54.000 By the way, right now, Gavin Newsom is in South Carolina campaigning for the presidency.
00:14:58.000 He's in South Carolina, which of course, you know, the Democrats, they've decided to get rid of Iowa, get rid of New Hampshire because they were too white.
00:15:04.000 Not an exaggeration.
00:15:05.000 So South Carolina is now the new first state.
00:15:07.000 So Gavin Newsom is in South Carolina right now campaigning for the 2028 presidency.
00:15:12.000 Let's play Cut 351.
00:15:14.000 So like you right now should come out and be like, you know what?
00:15:17.000 The young man who's about to win the state championship in the long jump in female sports, that shouldn't happen.
00:15:23.000 You as the governor should step out and say no.
00:15:25.000 No, and I appreciate it.
00:15:26.000 But like, would you do something like that?
00:15:28.000 Would you say no men in female sports?
00:15:29.000 Well, I think it's an issue of fairness.
00:15:31.000 I completely agree with you on that.
00:15:32.000 So that's easy to call out the unfairness of that.
00:15:35.000 There's also a humility and a grace that these poor people are more likely to commit suicide, have anxiety and depression.
00:15:42.000 And the way that people talk down to vulnerable communities is an issue that I have a hard time with as well.
00:15:48.000 So both things I can hold in my hand.
00:15:51.000 How can we address this issue with the kind of decency that I think is inherent in you, but not always expressed?
00:15:59.000 So he's saying it's deeply unfair.
00:16:01.000 And by the way, just so we're clear, that man won the state championship, just so we are clear.
00:16:07.000 The man won the state championship.
00:16:09.000 So what is the ask in this lawsuit?
00:16:11.000 What would be considered a victory for California to protect women?
00:16:16.000 Because a lot of money is on the line.
00:16:17.000 What would be considered a victory here?
00:16:20.000 So one, they need to change their policies.
00:16:23.000 In fact, the California athletic group, the Interscholastic Foundation, asked the state for clarity because they heard this podcast.
00:16:31.000 They heard him say it was deeply unfair.
00:16:33.000 And they said, hey, are we still having to comply with California law, which makes us have to put men in women's sports?
00:16:39.000 And California categorically said, yes, you can self-identify into whatever category you would like to.
00:16:46.000 So California has specifically doubled down.
00:16:49.000 So they absolutely have to change that policy.
00:16:52.000 I think they thought they were going to be getting away with some sort of not at all response, which was if a man is competing, then another woman can also compete.
00:17:02.000 Like we can add an additional person.
00:17:03.000 It's like, wait, more people have to humiliate themselves.
00:17:07.000 That's going to be your solution?
00:17:09.000 It's like, have more women have to be exposed to this?
00:17:12.000 That's the opposite of a solution.
00:17:14.000 It also acknowledges you know the difference between a man and a woman because you only have to allow another woman if a man is competing.
00:17:22.000 So there is a sex difference.
00:17:23.000 You've acknowledged the problem and you've proposed basically the opposite of a solution.
00:17:28.000 So what they need to do is change their policy, then they need to restore obviously all of the awards.
00:17:33.000 And you know what?
00:17:35.000 Otherwise, we're going to take your money and we want back pay as well for all the years that you've been not in compliance.
00:17:40.000 And this is a great fight for the administration.
00:17:42.000 Number one, we ran on this.
00:17:43.000 This is one of our 20 campaign promises, which is no men and female sports.
00:17:46.000 Number two, it's California.
00:17:48.000 So there is so much money at stake here.
00:17:51.000 And then number three, listen, this is the morally right thing to do.
00:17:55.000 This is the morally right thing to do.
00:17:58.000 And so California, let me just be clear.
00:18:00.000 They are putting $45 billion at risk over the fight of having men in female locker rooms.
00:18:08.000 Am I understanding this is the hill they're going to die on?
00:18:12.000 That they're going to die, not on abortion, not on immigration, but they're going to die on men in girls' locker rooms?
00:18:20.000 Yeah, it's completely crazy.
00:18:22.000 You know, they like to say it's an 80-10 issue, but you and I know that that's just people who have to say it out loud.
00:18:26.000 If you were to ask people quietly, no one will ever know what's your position on here.
00:18:31.000 We're well over 90-10.
00:18:33.000 And so for, you know what the sad part is, is that these are kids too.
00:18:38.000 And what they're doing to kids to confuse them, are you a boy or are you a girl?
00:18:44.000 And then lie to them.
00:18:45.000 So this is the other thing.
00:18:47.000 Men and women's sports is, it's something visible.
00:18:51.000 It's something we as the American public can see.
00:18:53.000 But what's so dangerous about it is that this is social transition.
00:18:57.000 The reason why schools want to let men into women's sports is because they are trying to quote unquote socially transition them, which then those students go on to have chemicals and then those chemical students go on to have surgeries.
00:19:10.000 And so it's not just a burden on the women, which it is a burden on the women here.
00:19:17.000 It is this, this is the step toward a life of sadness, frustration, and attempting to live a lie that you can never play out.
00:19:27.000 And so if California wants to be compassionate, they want to show compassion to kids who are not doing well, who feel that they are in the wrong body either that or feel that they want to be cool or please their parents, and their parents want to, you know, say, I've got a trans kid because then maybe they'll get a bunch more dinner parties.
00:19:44.000 But either way, this is the opposite of compassion.
00:19:48.000 And so, what we are asking for is basic compliance with the law.
00:19:52.000 But we want the same thing from Harvard as well.
00:19:54.000 And so that's why today we announced that we launched some subpoenas into Harvard because they will not give us any information about what the Ford students are doing there.
00:20:05.000 And we have a lot of information that Harvard, one, discriminates against U.S. students.
00:20:10.000 You get punished if you're a U.S. student, but you don't get punished if you're a foreign student because then maybe you'll get deported.
00:20:16.000 So Harvard's problems continue apace.
00:20:20.000 Yeah, so what would you say is the pressure campaign against Harvard, I believe, is working.
00:20:26.000 And this is one of many different vectors of attacks.
00:20:31.000 Has Harvard been compliant or are they fighting the administration?
00:20:33.000 One minute remaining.
00:20:35.000 Yeah, Harvard had, just like every other university, just like Columbia, the opportunity to have a good relationship with us and say, you know what, we did not treat our Jewish students well.
00:20:44.000 We made Jewish students have to hide their identity.
00:20:46.000 And also, of course, we did discriminate on the basis of race.
00:20:50.000 Good luck to you if you are an American, white, or Asian student trying to get into our university.
00:20:54.000 They could have just said, we want to resolve our problems.
00:20:57.000 And instead, they continue to double down.
00:20:59.000 So Harvard, as the president has made note, they are welcome to come to a change of heart and start to comply with the law.
00:21:08.000 But until then, we would like to know what's going on there.
00:21:12.000 We would like to know about the racism that is happening.
00:21:15.000 And we'd like to know what the foreign students are up to because the foreign students are there with a program that is run by the federal government.
00:21:22.000 We'd like to know what's happening in our own program, which of course we have a right to.
00:21:27.000 The focus needs to be the violation of the students for fair admission.
00:21:31.000 Harvard is actively discriminating against white and Asian students every single day.
00:21:37.000 It is active racist discrimination.
00:21:39.000 May, great work.
00:21:40.000 And I think you went to Harvard, didn't you?
00:21:42.000 So keep the fight up against your alma mater.
00:21:44.000 Maybe I'm misremembering, but May, great to see you.
00:21:47.000 Thank you so much.
00:21:48.000 Thanks.
00:21:52.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:21:53.000 Brand new year, brand new opportunities to change the world for the better.

00:22:10.000 Your gift of pre-born will give a girl the truth about what's happening in her body so that she can make the right choice.
00:22:16.000 What better way to start this new year than to join us to save babies?
00:22:20.000 And $28 a month will save a baby a month all year long.
00:22:24.000 A $15,000 gift will provide a complete ultrasound machine that will save thousands of babies for years and years to come.
00:22:30.000 And will also save moms from a lifetime of pain and regret.

00:22:48.000 I'm a donor.
00:22:49.000 You should be too.
00:22:49.000 CharlieKirk.com, pre-born banner.
00:22:54.000 Joining us now is Batya Ungar Sargon, author of Second Class.
00:22:59.000 Batya, great to see you.
00:23:00.000 Sorry if I mispronounced the second part of your last name.
00:23:03.000 Great to see you.
00:23:04.000 Charlie, thank you so much for having me.
00:23:06.000 I have to say, I just feel daily more and more grateful to you for the service that you're providing our nation as an American, as a Jew, as an American Jew.
00:23:19.000 I feel so unbelievably indebted to you for the work that you're doing holding the moral center of this country.
00:23:29.000 Our great vice president, before he became vice president, gave an amazing speech, I think it was in March or May of 2024, in which he said that it's obvious that our foreign policy should be guided by the moral intuitions of regular Americans.
00:23:46.000 And when I hear you talking, that's really what I hear.
00:23:49.000 I hear that moral intuition of the average American, which is so good and so fundamentally misunderstood.
00:23:59.000 So thank you for everything you do for this country.
00:24:01.000 And thank you for having me.
00:24:03.000 Thank you.
00:24:03.000 That is very sweet and means the world.
00:24:05.000 And we will continue on this program.
00:24:08.000 Tell it like it is.
00:24:08.000 Tell the truth and not pander to fake stuff that is thrown at us.
00:24:15.000 So, Bacha, I want to get your thought here.
00:24:17.000 You're the author of Second Class, which is How the Elites Betrayed America's Working Men and Women.
00:24:23.000 President Donald Trump has remade the Republican Party into the muscular class party.
00:24:28.000 You and I have talked about that for some time.
00:24:31.000 But there's a new Axios story out that is going quite viral.
00:24:34.000 And we're hearing this from Democrats, quote, the grassroots want more.
00:24:38.000 Some of them have suggested what we really need is to be willing to get shot.
00:24:42.000 When visiting ICE facilities or federal agencies, a third House Democrat told Axios, quote, they want blood.
00:24:50.000 And there's a quote here that's about they literally want blood.
00:24:53.000 What's going on in the Democrat Party?
00:24:55.000 Are they becoming the Luigi Mangioni Party?
00:24:58.000 So as we've discussed many times, Donald Trump won because he captured that moral center where the vast majority of Americans are at.
00:25:09.000 It's anti-war.
00:25:11.000 It's pro-worker and socially moderate.
00:25:15.000 That's where 60, 70, 80% of Americans are at on every single issue.
00:25:21.000 And that includes being extremely hawkish on immigration.
00:25:26.000 And what's so amazing is that Donald Trump has made Americans much more so.
00:25:33.000 So CNN was forced to admit that back in 2016, only 38% of Americans thought that we should be deporting every single illegal immigrant.
00:25:43.000 That number is up to 55% in the lowest poll, as you tweeted, Charlie.
00:25:50.000 The highest numbers have it at 64% of Americans want every single illegal migrant deported.
00:25:56.000 And the reason for that is very clear.
00:25:59.000 Over successive democratic administrations.
00:26:03.000 Basically, they have instituted economic policy that disinherited working class Americans and their children and made it impossible for them to achieve the American dream.
00:26:15.000 But who could achieve the American dream was the millions and millions of illegal migrants who they were importing to undercut working class Americans' wages.
00:26:24.000 And of course, the beneficiaries of it, which are the credentialed class, that top 10% that now controls over 60% of the GDP.
00:26:31.000 This was very, very intentional.
00:26:34.000 They did it by NAFTA shipping good manufacturing jobs overseas to build up China and Mexico's middle class.
00:26:41.000 They did it when President Obama defunded vocational training, another great avenue to the American dream for working class people who work with their hands for a living.
00:26:50.000 And they did it by opening the border.
00:26:52.000 And effectively, what the American people said was, no more.
00:26:55.000 This is not right.
00:26:56.000 This is not fair.
00:26:57.000 This is not moral.
00:26:59.000 It is moral for a country to put its citizens first.
00:27:03.000 And for the crime of objecting to the disinheritance of their own children, they were smeared as racists.
00:27:11.000 They were called Nazis.
00:27:13.000 Trump was called Hitler.
00:27:15.000 And now this is just the latest salvo of the smearing of the hardest working Americans because they want their children to have a fair shot at the American dream.
00:27:26.000 And they've taken it so far, Charlie, in the face of this mass acceptance by the American people that Donald Trump actually is doing what they asked him to do, what they want him to do.
00:27:39.000 They are effectively saying we need to make a spectacle that is so horrifying that the American people will abandon what they know is in their own interests.
00:27:50.000 That's basically what happened.
00:27:51.000 So for 40 years, leftists were telling working class people, you're voting against your own economic interests when they knew, like, of course, we're not voting against our economic interests.
00:28:02.000 It's now become so clear that these migrants were against the interests of the American working class.
00:28:08.000 And so that argument has failed.
00:28:10.000 So they have to resort now to what they are hoping will be a bloody spectacle.
00:28:16.000 And they are literally sending their people out to commit violence against people, ICE agents, against officers of the state who are trying to do what the American people want them to do.
00:28:28.000 So it seems as if this is a trend.
00:28:30.000 I want to connect this with Zoran Mamdani, who is obviously an insurgent.
00:28:36.000 But I believe that the insurgency of Mamdani can largely be explained through economics.
00:28:42.000 President Trump is doing his best to fix a disordered and broken economic system.
00:28:48.000 But one of the main reasons why you see radical Islamists, and it doesn't have to be Islamists, but he is an Islamist, but radicals like Zo Ron start to pop to the surface is when a generation has lots of student loan debt and they don't own anything, they start to get uneasy.
00:29:06.000 Can you talk about how Republicans, who are the governing and the majority party, it's not enough just to oppose Democrats.
00:29:13.000 We should seek to understand what is the driving force of the disillusionment, the baseline that connects to the Zoron Mamdanis.
00:29:24.000 And at the baseline of it is economics.
00:29:27.000 100%.
00:29:29.000 Effectively what happened was you had a generation of young people who were lied to.
00:29:34.000 They were told, you will go to college and then you will have access to the American dream.
00:29:39.000 For a long time, that actually did work.
00:29:42.000 But what happened was you had, first of all, people in Silicon Valley who just wanted more and more and more H-1B visas.
00:29:49.000 And those H-1B visas imported half a million people to work in STEM, which undercut the actual pay that an American worker, an American engineer could expect to get in those industries because they had been swelled with migrants, I guess legal migrants in this case.
00:30:08.000 And as a result, American students didn't want to go into those industries anymore because what is the point in graduating with hundreds and thousands of dollars in debt when you're going to be expecting, you know, $50,000 as a salary?
00:30:21.000 It didn't make sense anymore.
00:30:23.000 But in many ways, this lie that was sold to them was you will graduate from college, you will make it into the top 10% as previous generations did, and you will be much more well-off and much wealthier than blue collar workers.
00:30:38.000 And Donald Trump was the first president in 60 years to really reverse that.
00:30:43.000 So in his first administration in 2018, the bottom 25% of wage earners saw a 4% wage increase, but the top 25% only saw a 2.9% wage increase, which means that he was the first president to shrink the gap between that credentialed elite, that caste that had been created by the Democrats of their new base after they had abandoned labor, and then labor, who were now the new base of the Republican Party.
00:31:14.000 So he sort of changed that.
00:31:16.000 He started to say, wait a minute, why are the hardest working Americans downwardly mobile?
00:31:20.000 And these people working in the knowledge industry who are basically a rentier class, who don't produce anything of value, are the ones getting rich.
00:31:28.000 Now, Joe Biden really put a stop to that with the open border.
00:31:34.000 That was effectively the point of the open border.
00:31:36.000 They were worried that if the wage increase of the working class continued apace, that this would lead to inflation.
00:31:43.000 And so they brought in 10 million people to undercut working class people in their places of industry, of work.
00:31:50.000 But right now, we're seeing the same thing happening.
00:31:52.000 The AI revolution is leaving a lot of these over-credentialed people who have recently graduated from higher education without job prospects because those entry-level jobs are being done by AI.
00:32:05.000 And meanwhile, blue-collar workers are seeing real wage increases because of all the mass deportations.
00:32:11.000 And so Trump is again flipping the script and shrinking that class divide based on a college education.
00:32:19.000 Now, the problem is, is that a lot of the education that these people got, education at these institutions of higher ed, we know that they teach them a lot of stuff that's built into this anti-American, anti-Western.
00:32:35.000 You see the love of Hamas on all of these college campuses, and it's very built into the hatred of white people, the hatred of Jews.
00:32:44.000 this is rampant in the woke ideology.
00:32:47.000 And so they get these degrees, they graduate, and then they expect to become very wealthy.
00:32:53.000 Crucially, they expect to be better off than working class people who didn't get these fancy degrees.
00:32:59.000 There's this inherent elitism and snobbery and contempt for the working class built into that education.
00:33:06.000 And so they are very disillusioned.
00:33:08.000 They are very angry.
00:33:10.000 But also, you know, some of them do have legitimate concerns.
00:33:14.000 If there is a group there that is willing to say, hey, wait a minute, like we need a populist revolution.
00:33:22.000 This could come from the left.
00:33:23.000 It could come from the right.
00:33:24.000 Why should we be divided?
00:33:26.000 We should all be working for that American dream for the most amount of people.
00:33:29.000 Like, great, join the movement.
00:33:31.000 The problem is, is that there is a lot of anti-American sentiment baked into this new, you know, leftist proletariat, if you want to call it, which leads to the trust fund socialism of Zaran Mamdani.
00:33:45.000 Macha, thank you so much.
00:33:46.000 Please plug your book super quick.
00:33:48.000 Yes, second class, How the Elites Betrayed America's Working Men and Women.
00:33:52.000 And guys, you don't need me to tell you this, but Charlie is just the absolute best.
00:33:56.000 Keep supporting him.
00:33:57.000 I know I do.
00:33:58.000 Thank you so much for having me.
00:33:59.000 God bless you.
00:34:00.000 Hope to see you soon.
00:34:01.000 Thank you.
00:34:01.000 Very sweet.
00:34:02.000 Thank you.
00:34:03.000 Thanks so much for listening.
00:34:04.000 Everybody, email us as always, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:34:06.000 Thanks so much for listening, and God bless.
