00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:00:02.000 This is producer Andrew Colvett filling in for Charlie.
00:00:05.000 But never fear, we have an action-packed episode in store for you.
00:00:08.000 Blue states shedding the mask mandates, all because the science has changed, folks.
00:00:13.000 Or is there something more to the story?
00:00:16.000 We go into great detail what's going on in places like Manhattan and New York City, New York State, California, and elsewhere.
00:00:23.000 We also have the great Libby Evans, the editor-in-chief of the Postmillennial, who joins us for a first-person account as a Brooklynite.
00:00:31.000 I called her a Manhattanite.
00:00:32.000 Whoops.
00:00:33.000 She is in Brooklyn, but she gives us the first-hand details.
00:00:35.000 You're not going to want to miss it.
00:00:36.000 Post-millennial, excellent, excellent outlet and great friends of the right-wing dissident movement.
00:00:43.000 You're not going to want to miss it.
00:00:44.000 Buckle up.
00:00:45.000 Here we go.
00:00:46.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:00:48.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.
00:00:50.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:00:53.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:00:57.000 I want to thank Charlie.
00:00:58.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:00:59.000 His spirit, his love of this country.
00:01:00.000 He's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.
00:01:06.000 Turning point USA.
00:01:07.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:01:16.000 That's why we are here.
00:01:19.000 Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com.
00:01:28.000 There is an absolute explosion going on.
00:01:32.000 We talked about this in the show yesterday.
00:01:33.000 Charlie did that.
00:01:35.000 The science has changed.
00:01:36.000 That is what the left wants you to think, that the science has changed.
00:01:41.000 And I think Charlie made a very compelling argument for the fact that the science hasn't changed.
00:01:45.000 The hypothesis has changed.
00:01:47.000 The scientists have changed.
00:01:48.000 And certainly the political calculus has changed.
00:01:52.000 Make no doubt about it.
00:01:55.000 The political establishment on the left is looking at these abysmal polls and saying that we're about to get crushed in November.
00:02:04.000 The rats are jumping off the ship.
00:02:06.000 The ship is sinking.
00:02:08.000 And they all know it.
00:02:10.000 Now, there are a few holdouts to this, but I think it's important to count the victories while we have them.
00:02:17.000 You've got states like California, New York, Oregon, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware.
00:02:25.000 These are blue states that have looked at the tea leaves and their political futures, not the science, mind you, but their political futures, and said, now is the time to change the science.
00:02:39.000 Now is the time to say what people on the right, shows like this one, have been saying for a very, very long time now.
00:02:46.000 Was it Connor was 15 days to slow the spread?
00:02:49.000 We've probably been saying this for about, you know, 735 days now, that it was time to end this nonsense.
00:02:57.000 Now, I want to start all of this with a clip of a comedian, Heather McDonald.
00:03:04.000 And I'm not playing this clip to be crass or to celebrate somebody's pain or injury.
00:03:12.000 I hope that this comedian, Heather McDonald, is well.
00:03:16.000 She's talking to reporters.
00:03:16.000 She seems to be.
00:03:18.000 But if you haven't seen this clip or heard it yet, it is very telling.
00:03:21.000 And the reason I want to start with it is because it feels exactly like what's happening within this larger COVID narrative, this larger mask mandate narrative, everything that's happening in Canada.
00:03:37.000 This is the perfect visualization of the regime's narrative.
00:03:41.000 Play Cut 72.
00:03:43.000 I don't mean to brag.
00:03:44.000 I don't care, but I want you to know: double-vat booster flu shot.
00:03:51.000 And I'm going to be honest, I have the shingle shot too.
00:03:56.000 And I still get my period.
00:03:58.000 What?
00:03:59.000 Yes!
00:04:00.000 Jesus loves me the most.
00:04:02.000 Seriously.
00:04:04.000 So nice.
00:04:05.000 So nice.
00:04:13.000 And that laughter, no, it was not part of her act.
00:04:16.000 She fractured her skull.
00:04:18.000 She fell backwards at that very moment and cracked her skull open.
00:04:22.000 Serious injury, by all accounts.
00:04:24.000 But what you saw there and the timing of it is just, it's one of those things that you really can't make up.
00:04:32.000 Because, you know, she sits there trumpeting all the talking points as she should, right?
00:04:42.000 Any good left-wing entertainer is going to trumpet those same points.
00:04:47.000 And then she collapses.
00:04:50.000 Just like the media's narrative, just like the regime's narrative around masking, around vaccines.
00:05:00.000 And I want to get to something that I think is pretty telling, okay?
00:05:07.000 You've got pieces in the Washington Post.
00:05:12.000 You've got their editorial board saying what the Omicron COVID wave taught us.
00:05:19.000 Open everything from the Atlantic.
00:05:23.000 You've got Dr. Wen from CNN.
00:05:25.000 She's writing op-eds in the Washington Post saying, avoid all extremes.
00:05:31.000 So let me get this straight.
00:05:32.000 We have the very same people that have been jamming extremes down our throats for the last two years, telling us to mask our kids, telling us to vax our kids, which are still stuck on it.
00:05:42.000 I'm going to get to that in a little bit.
00:05:44.000 Telling us that even at your home, if you're with unvaccinated people, you have to mask up.
00:05:51.000 We have the DHS, and I'm going to get into this story in a little bit in more detail.
00:05:56.000 The DHS issuing a terror bulletin this week saying that their number one concern are individuals spreading election misinformation and COVID misinformation.
00:06:10.000 So that's, yes, that's right.
00:06:11.000 The DHS is now targeting Americans, and their top priority is not the CCP.
00:06:16.000 It's not Al-Qaeda.
00:06:19.000 It's not ISIS.
00:06:21.000 It's you, regular Americans, that believe that there were serious irregularities in the election or that you believe that the regime's narrative about COVID and vaccinations were politicized.
00:06:33.000 You are the top threat, according to the DHS.
00:06:35.000 And so we have these same charlatans, these same crooks, these same con men and women now coming out when the science has changed, when the science has not changed, folks, the narrative has changed.
00:06:46.000 The polling has changed.
00:06:48.000 The political realities staring them down in November have changed.
00:06:52.000 And they have the gall to come out and write in the Washington Post that it's time to avoid all extremes when it comes to this next wave.
00:07:02.000 Well, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Dr. Wen, to the Washington Post editorial board, even to the Atlantic, which says it's time to end all COVID restrictions.
00:07:17.000 Open everything, says the Atlantic.
00:07:21.000 The bad news is this, is that we're not going to forget.
00:07:26.000 We're not going to just let this one go by.
00:07:29.000 You've stolen two years of the American life.
00:07:34.000 You've stolen two years of our children's lives.
00:07:38.000 And in places like Los Angeles and New York City, you're still doing it.
00:07:42.000 Eric Adams wants the mass mandates for children to continue on, even while other blue states are lifting them.
00:07:50.000 The UK has moved up its lifting of restrictions by a week.
00:07:54.000 So they are going to lift all restrictions by the end of February.
00:08:00.000 And just breaking last night, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Quebec, and Prince Edward Island all announced plans to lift COVID-19 restrictions, saying it will increasingly be up to citizens to assess the risk they face from the virus.
00:08:17.000 That's according to the Canadian press.
00:08:20.000 What you are seeing is the people rising up, the rising up of the citizen, saying we're not going to take it anymore.
00:08:27.000 And God bless our trucker friends to the north.
00:08:31.000 They were the catalyst for a lot of this sudden change of science.
00:08:37.000 But we aren't going to forget.
00:08:38.000 We're going to name names.
00:08:40.000 And we are going to keep a list of folks that have steered us so terribly wrong, that have damaged the American way of life, that have caused inflation to spiral out of control, that have caused our supply chains to be backed up, that have hurt and harmed our children.
00:08:59.000 And we won't forget, and we want accountability.
00:09:02.000 And that is the message to the American elite and ruling class that have been so, so horribly wrong.
00:09:12.000 How many years have I been telling you about Relief Factor?
00:09:13.000 Producer Andrew's right here doing an Iron Man thanks to Relief Factor.
00:09:16.000 And truth is, I know there are millions of people.
00:09:19.000 In fact, some say over 100 million people struggling with some kind of pain, maybe from exercise or just getting older.
00:09:24.000 That can do it, getting older, which is why I'm so impressed with the people at relieffactor.com.
00:09:28.000 They are on a mission.
00:09:29.000 You rarely see this kind of focus and commitment.
00:09:31.000 They recently shared with me that they are doubling down and want to literally double their total number of happy customers in the next year.
00:09:37.000 And I believe they'll do it.
00:09:38.000 So here's the deal.
00:09:39.000 If you're struggling with back pain, neck pain, shoulder, hip, or knee pain, even general muscle aches and pain, then I'm suggesting you order their three-week quick start, still discounted, only $19.95.
00:09:49.000 Go to relieffactor.com.
00:09:50.000 That's relieffactor.com.
00:09:52.000 Check it out right now, relieffactor.com.
00:09:54.000 You should order the three-week quick start too.
00:09:55.000 Discount only $19.95 to see if it will work for you.
00:09:58.000 I think it possibly could.
00:10:00.000 Give your body what it needs to heal itself.
00:10:01.000 Go to relieffactor.com.
00:10:03.000 That's relieffactor.com.
00:10:04.000 Check it out right now.
00:10:08.000 Now, is this little breath of sanity something to celebrate and let it all just go away and say, hey, you know, let's let bygones be bygones.
00:10:18.000 Let's move on.
00:10:20.000 States like California, New York, Oregon, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, all lifting some sort of mask mandate.
00:10:31.000 You've also got Saskatchewan, Alberta, Quebec lifting COVID restrictions.
00:10:39.000 You've got the UK moving up its lifting of COVID restrictions.
00:10:43.000 Now, some of that certainly is tied to Boris Johnson's political controversies regarding even just today, newly dropped pictures from The Guardian showing him partying during Christmas during the height of the COVID season, which, I mean, it's just further proof that politicians are human beings, folks.
00:11:03.000 I don't fault the man for partying during Christmas.
00:11:08.000 Steve Kirsch, he runs a great sub stack.
00:11:11.000 You should check it out.
00:11:12.000 Something that we often will reference.
00:11:14.000 And he had a great article, The 12 Spreaders of Disinformation.
00:11:21.000 He calls it my disinformation dozen list.
00:11:24.000 And he lists the top 12 people that you need to remember as the country returns to some sort of sanity because they led us down a path of destruction.
00:11:36.000 I think a level of destruction that we will probably not fully realize for a generation.
00:11:45.000 His first on the list, President Joe Biden.
00:11:48.000 I think that's fitting.
00:11:50.000 The regime starts at the top.
00:11:53.000 At least he's the figurehead.
00:11:55.000 We're not sure how much he's actually in charge of these days.
00:11:58.000 Maybe it's Ron Klein and Joe Joe Joe Biden.
00:12:03.000 Told you you might be able to have a nice 4th of July if you get the vaccine.
00:12:07.000 He bullied.
00:12:08.000 He's scared.
00:12:09.000 He continues to erode public trust by failing to look at actual science, failing to speak to dissident scientists.
00:12:18.000 I could go on and on.
00:12:19.000 Number two, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky.
00:12:23.000 News story out today.
00:12:24.000 She is refusing to update the CDC guidance on masking, even as states do so.
00:12:31.000 She's been a disaster.
00:12:33.000 Tony Fauci, number three, arguably could be number one or number two.
00:12:38.000 Spread disinformation about the sources of the virus, lied about funding it, continues to do so when questioned by Senator Rand Paul, and failed to properly promote early treatments.
00:12:50.000 Four, U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, also another one of those science has changed, guys.
00:12:58.000 Did nothing about effective early treatment protocols.
00:13:01.000 Compounded the air by labeling people trying to spread life-saving information as disinformation spreaders.
00:13:07.000 Bill Gates funded the misinformation campaign and the fact checkers.
00:13:12.000 Amen to that.
00:13:13.000 FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock, she's in charge of the FDA.
00:13:17.000 They approved vaccines for little kids that are at the lowest risk.
00:13:23.000 By the way, polling on that is really interesting.
00:13:25.000 And I want to get into that a little bit later.
00:13:27.000 It's like suburban moms are starting to revolt against the regime.
00:13:32.000 Number seven, COVID-19 guidelines.
00:13:34.000 Chairman Cliff Lane discredited every single COVID early treatment, including fluvoxamine, which has a 12 times reduction in fatalities.
00:13:44.000 A lot of these people completely ignored early treatment.
00:13:46.000 I think you'll see a trend there.
00:13:48.000 Tom Shimma Bukuro, not somebody that we've mentioned on the show, but I'm glad to see him here.
00:13:55.000 Never mentioned VARES URF, which underplayed the dangers of the vaccine.
00:14:00.000 Deliberately misled people about causality and VARES by claiming you can't determine causality.
00:14:06.000 John Su, CDC, VARES expert.
00:14:10.000 See Tom Shimma Bukuro.
00:14:13.000 By the way, the VARES thing is a total crock, folks.
00:14:17.000 It is very hard to file a VARES report after somebody's been vaccinated.
00:14:22.000 It's very hard on purpose.
00:14:24.000 And it's mostly doctors doing it.
00:14:27.000 And there's a reason they're trying to discredit.
00:14:30.000 Stephen A. Anderson, the top vaccine safety official at the FDA, deliberately ignored all the VARES and DMED safety signals.
00:14:38.000 Gavin Newsom at number 11, and Dr. Richard Planned, California State Senator, who tried to remove all loopholes and personal exemptions from the COVID vaccine school vaccination.
00:14:50.000 An utter sicko, if you ask me.

00:16:05.000 I mean, in fact, she's already risen.
00:16:06.000 She's already a big deal.
00:16:08.000 Libby Emmons from the Postmillennial.
00:16:10.000 She is a Manhattanite.
00:16:12.000 If you go back far enough in her background, she's a theater nerd.
00:16:16.000 And I love that about her.
00:16:17.000 She's been majorly red-pilled and she sees the world from a completely unique vantage point.
00:16:22.000 And I'm so excited to talk to her.
00:16:24.000 Libby Emmons, without further ado, welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:16:28.000 Thanks, Andrew.
00:16:29.000 Glad to be here.
00:16:30.000 Yeah.
00:16:30.000 Thank you so much.
00:16:31.000 So you are a Manhattanite.
00:16:31.000 Okay.
00:16:34.000 You are a lover of the Big Apple.
00:16:38.000 Unbelievably, you're still there given everything that's happened.
00:16:41.000 You have a son.
00:16:43.000 I don't mean to make it personal, but I mean, obviously, everything that's been happening in the news with mask mandates with the schools, Hochell, Eric Adams, I want the update.
00:16:53.000 What's going on right now with masking, COVID restrictions, vaccines in New York City?
00:16:58.000 Okay.
00:16:59.000 Yeah, I'm in Brooklyn.
00:17:01.000 I used to live in Manhattan, but I've made the jump across the river with so many other people.
00:17:07.000 So what's going on?
00:17:08.000 We have a new mayor who has decided to uphold the vaccine requirements that the old mayor put in place.
00:17:15.000 So there's still these rules where you can't go to restaurants or movie theaters or Broadway theaters or so many other places without showing your vaccine card.
00:17:29.000 New York is a cultural place.
00:17:31.000 It's a cultural capital.
00:17:33.000 So these vaccine mandates essentially lock people out of the cultural life of the city, which is especially damaging, I think, for kids.
00:17:42.000 And kids are locked out as well.
00:17:44.000 Anyone over the age of five is required to have this vaccine man, this vaccine passport.
00:17:50.000 You know, you have to like show your thing.
00:17:52.000 There are even some bars that I know of.
00:17:55.000 One of my favorites, where I will never be going again, that is now requiring you to have the app.
00:18:00.000 There's like this Excelsior app that Governor Cuomo created back when he was the governor before he was run out of office.
00:18:08.000 And you have to show your medical status via an app.
00:18:12.000 Well, so that's, I've actually got a question on that.
00:18:14.000 Just practical living life in New York City.
00:18:17.000 How many places are app-based where they're, I mean, it's actually scanning a database versus a piece of paper.
00:18:25.000 I don't want to encourage any lawlessness here, civil disobedience, or good trouble, or whatever the left likes to call it.
00:18:32.000 But I mean, what's the difference?
00:18:33.000 I mean, what's the breakdown?
00:18:34.000 You go to your average movie theater, for example.
00:18:37.000 Is it a pass?
00:18:38.000 Is it a piece of paper?
00:18:39.000 Is it?
00:18:40.000 So I have a CDC card that just the one that I got when I got vaccinated originally.
00:18:46.000 It has two little shots listed on it.
00:18:49.000 Right.
00:18:50.000 My son doesn't have any of those and he doesn't have a card.
00:18:54.000 So since the mandate was put into effect, I haven't actually tried to go to very many places other than restaurants that I already know with my son.
00:19:04.000 Instead, we drive over to Jersey.
00:19:07.000 I live in South Brooklyn.
00:19:09.000 It's easy to get across the bridge, cross Staten Island.
00:19:12.000 And we went to Dave and Buster's last weekend.
00:19:15.000 We had a great time.
00:19:17.000 That is a terrible indictment of the city of New York that New Yorkers are fleeing to Jersey, people.
00:19:24.000 I mean, have some pride.
00:19:26.000 For goodness sakes.
00:19:27.000 Eric Adams, wake up.
00:19:28.000 I'm sorry.
00:19:29.000 I'm sorry to report this news, but this is just the facts.
00:19:31.000 Okay.
00:19:32.000 So the governor came out breaking this morning, right?
00:19:36.000 Or was it last night, one or the other?
00:19:38.000 Oh, she said she's going to make an announcement.
00:19:40.000 You know, they do these pre-things.
00:19:42.000 Oh, well, so I'm seeing across the news that it's that she's going to lift the mask mandate statewide.
00:19:48.000 Now, Eric Adams has also said, though, that he's going to keep it.
00:19:52.000 And he's also encouraging to keep it for schools.
00:19:55.000 Now, we're seeing in blue states, California, Oregon, Connecticut, New Jersey, just to the south of you.
00:20:01.000 I think Governor Murphy saw his political future flash before his eyes in November.
00:20:08.000 And I think maybe he's reacting.
00:20:10.000 I'm not sure.
00:20:11.000 But you're seeing blue states now join the red states in lifting these masks.
00:20:16.000 Uh mandates California.
00:20:18.000 I mean, i'm blown away.
00:20:19.000 I'm I live in California and I can't believe what i'm seeing now.
00:20:24.000 Los Angeles, like California, is maintaining uh, its mask mandates and we don't uh have any clarity yet on when those might be lifted.
00:20:31.000 Um what, what is that dynamic between lifting it on the state and and New York City?
00:20:36.000 Are we seeing any clues that it's going to?
00:20:38.000 We're going to see relief for the city of New York soon, or students?
00:20:42.000 Um, i'm not sure.
00:20:43.000 I haven't seen anything from Adams so far this week other than his plan to implement vegan school lunches on fridays.
00:20:51.000 I wanted to ask you about this day.
00:20:53.000 You know yeah, please send me fridays.
00:20:56.000 But um yeah, we haven't seen anything from Adams about the mask mandates in the city, but we did see governor Hochle who, I will point out, is unelected.
00:21:06.000 Uh, she's running for governor now.
00:21:08.000 She took over after Cuomo was forced out.
00:21:11.000 Um, but she has said that this lifting of mask mandates will not include school children, that the uh order for schools is set to expire february 21st, I believe, which is right before our february break and she said that she'll make decisions about what happens to school children after that.
00:21:32.000 Of course, that's absurd, because we know the CDC has pointed out, even Fauci has pointed out that children are at a far less substantial risk for covid.
00:21:42.000 There have been very small number of deaths in that age group.
00:21:46.000 Um, and these kids are being forced to sit with masks on six hours a day, through music class, you know, through pe class, through everything you know, even outside.
00:21:58.000 Yeah well, and it's, it's child abuse.
00:22:00.000 It frankly is, I mean, the.
00:22:01.000 There's been numerous studies uh, numerous op-eds to the pages of the Washington.
00:22:07.000 Uh, the WALL Street Journal has been excellent on this.
00:22:10.000 Um, talking about the developmental challenge that uh children face when they've been uh, masked at such an early age.
00:22:17.000 Uh, anything from like articulating simple words.
00:22:20.000 I mean, it's so important for children to see the way the mouth moves and the way that we communicate with one another.
00:22:25.000 Um, so I do want to stop on this.
00:22:28.000 This, this plant-based.
00:22:30.000 Uh.
00:22:31.000 I think we have that clip guys, if you can, if you could pull it up.
00:22:33.000 Uh, Eric Adams now encouraging.
00:22:36.000 He wants people to be like plant-based.
00:22:39.000 Uh, what is his point?
00:22:41.000 And why does your son now want to bring his own lunch to school on friday?
00:22:45.000 He likes cheese on his sandwiches right, the child abuse goes further still here, folks?
00:22:52.000 No listen, i'm.
00:22:53.000 You know, Libby and I to all all disclosure texting about this.
00:22:57.000 We're both for eating uh, a healthier diet, I mean, it's not that it's, but does not New York have more pressing matters before the mayor than vegan lunches on Fridays.
00:23:09.000 I mean, the crime is skyrocketing.
00:23:12.000 The subways are a disaster.
00:23:13.000 I mean, what's going on here?
00:23:16.000 Yeah, so this sort of harkens back to the glory days of Mayor Michael Bloomberg's leadership in the city when he instituted a tax on sodas.
00:23:28.000 And he was very pro-Nanny State.
00:23:31.000 And I think Eric Adams must have some elements of that as well.
00:23:35.000 He appears to be rather fit.
00:23:37.000 He's a former cop.
00:23:39.000 And now he just wants to make sure that everyone eliminates meat from their diets, I guess.
00:23:44.000 Also, Bill de Blasio, before he left, put a ban on gas stoves, which I think is really peculiar and unpleasant.
00:23:51.000 Have you ever cooked on an electric stove?
00:23:54.000 Have you ever made anything?
00:23:58.000 No, they're doing the same thing in California.
00:24:01.000 No, they hate it so much.
00:24:03.000 Let's play.
00:24:04.000 Yeah, let's play.
00:24:07.000 Of course, of course.
00:24:08.000 Let's play this clip, Cut 50 of New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
00:24:12.000 I've got to get New Yorkers to eat a plant-based centered life, I guess.
00:24:17.000 I eat a plant-based centered life.
00:24:21.000 Some people want to call me vegan.
00:24:23.000 Vegans eat Oreos and they drink Coca-Cola.
00:24:26.000 I don't.
00:24:27.000 I eat a plant-based centered life.
00:24:31.000 That is my question to those who are following me around in restaurants, wondering what I'm ordering.
00:24:36.000 Listen, I'm not doing that.
00:24:38.000 That's noise to me.
00:24:39.000 I got to get New Yorkers to eat a plant-based scented life.
00:24:44.000 I don't know why you have to eat the whole life.
00:24:47.000 I think his grammar is questionable there.
00:24:49.000 I just want to point that out.
00:24:51.000 But I mean, he looked more passionate about that than talking about crime, talking about backing his police officers in the streets, which has been a, as you well know, an incredible saga for the police force recently with those incredible images of them coming out in support of their fallen comrades.
00:25:11.000 And I just, I find it very surprising.
00:25:15.000 How are New Yorkers responding to this?
00:25:19.000 Are New Yorkers still giving Eric Adams the benefit of the doubt?
00:25:22.000 Is they still looking at this as maybe a return to some sort of normalcy after de Blasio?
00:25:26.000 Or are they turning on him yet?
00:25:28.000 I don't think anybody's turning on Adams just yet.
00:25:32.000 I do think that it was really horrifying seeing two of our police officers murdered just recently.
00:25:39.000 And there was, as you mentioned, that incredible funeral procession basically down the street in Manhattan in support of those officers.
00:25:49.000 At the time, after those men were murdered, the president came to New York to talk about it and to try and discuss problems of crime.
00:25:59.000 And he really just came out for more gun control.
00:26:02.000 And it seems crazy to me that Americans who own their guns legally are consistently getting more and more restrictions on their rights to own weapons while career criminals are able to access guns with absolutely no issue at all.
00:26:19.000 And then they use those guns to kill our police officers who are supposed to keep us safe.
00:26:23.000 I do think that there's a big problem with crime in the city.
00:26:26.000 I think it's been a lot more visible.
00:26:28.000 I think the subways are definitely less safe.
00:26:31.000 You even had Adams saying himself that he didn't think that the subways were safe.
00:26:36.000 He, on his very first day in office, witnessed an assault right outside the station.
00:26:40.000 Yeah.

00:27:46.000 Libby, are you moving to Florida soon?
00:27:49.000 No, no.
00:27:51.000 You're sticking it.
00:27:52.000 You're sticking it up.
00:27:53.000 There's a, I can't, I'm not a Florida.
00:27:56.000 I like Florida fine.
00:27:57.000 I like it for vacation.
00:27:58.000 Wouldn't want to live there.
00:27:59.000 Well, I told you, you know, I started this when I was introducing you as a theater, kind of a theater nerd at heart.
00:28:06.000 And I actually love that about you.
00:28:08.000 I think it's completely a wonderful addition to the conservative landscape.
00:28:13.000 We need more people.
00:28:15.000 You know, I would have probably done theater or something as a kid.
00:28:17.000 I just, you know, my conservative parents didn't even think of it as an option, which, you know, probably fine that I ended up playing baseball and football and things like that.
00:28:25.000 Nevertheless, let's move on.
00:28:26.000 I want to talk about Trudeau in Canada.
00:28:29.000 So he's now on record saying that he wants to stay focused on mandates to avoid further mandates.
00:28:37.000 CUT 79.
00:28:38.000 I think one of the things we all understand is just how frustrated everyone is.
00:28:44.000 We're all frustrated.
00:28:45.000 We're all sick and tired of restrictions, of mandates, of having to make sacrifices of not being able to do the things we love.
00:28:54.000 It's been two years and it's really, really tiring for all of us.
00:28:59.000 This government has been focused every step of the way on following the best science, following the best public health advice to keep as many people safe as possible.
00:29:09.000 And quite frankly, it's worked.
00:29:11.000 We've seen the curves lower in Canada than elsewhere.
00:29:15.000 We've seen lower death rates.
00:29:16.000 We've seen quicker economic recovery because Canadians stepped up because Canadians got vaccinated.
00:29:23.000 All right.
00:29:24.000 I can understand frustrations with mandates, but mandates are the way to avoid further restrictions or having to be restricted as people get vaccinated.
00:29:32.000 That's kind of things have gotten.
00:29:34.000 Yeah, I can only handle so much.
00:29:36.000 I was going to make some bad joke about speaking of theater nerds with Trudeau, but I don't know what his theater background is.
00:29:43.000 Anyways, a lot of mass theater, anyway.
00:29:47.000 Yeah, that's a lot of COVID theater, a lot of hygiene theater, as we like to call it.
00:29:52.000 Do you have the update on what's going on with the in Ottawa?
00:29:57.000 Well, actually, a lot of the provinces are lifting restrictions.
00:30:00.000 Are the truckers winning, Libby?
00:30:03.000 You know, I think that in a lot of ways, the truckers are winning.
00:30:07.000 Saskatchewan, Alberta lifted their mandates.
00:30:11.000 Quebec for well, Quebec, I think, is sort of on track too.
00:30:17.000 They set a date.
00:30:18.000 I think the date is March in there, like March 15th, something like that.
00:30:22.000 Don't quote me on that, but I'm pretty sure that they are phasing, but they have not lifted.
00:30:27.000 The truckers, though, have achieved some real global support.
00:30:31.000 They've achieved support in Norway.
00:30:33.000 I believe there's actually an Australian convoy that's going along.
00:30:38.000 They've received support from American truckers.
00:30:40.000 They've received support from tow truck drivers who, as a group, have substantially refused to come in and tow these trucks out of there.
00:30:51.000 They definitely have, I think, a lot of cultural support, but it's these leaders who are still so down on them.
00:30:58.000 We actually have a reporter out in Ottawa.
00:31:00.000 She's been there for a while.
00:31:01.000 I think she's going to stay the week.
00:31:03.000 And she's been covering this.
00:31:04.000 She's been talking to the organizers and she's been talking to truckers.
00:31:08.000 They're pretty entrenched.
00:31:09.000 They're going to stick it out.
00:31:12.000 Well, and there was this incredible clip.
00:31:14.000 Yeah, there was an incredible clip of, you know, they've outlawed, you know, donating food, fuel to these truckers.
00:31:23.000 And there's an incredible clip of just Canadians streaming with jerry cans full of fuel to these truckers.
00:31:31.000 And now we've seen this crisis.
00:31:35.000 You know, it's blocking the main road between Canada and I believe Detroit.
00:31:42.000 Yeah.
00:31:42.000 Is there Ontario?
00:31:43.000 Yes, the Ambassador Bridge, I believe, is what it's called.
00:31:47.000 I think it's 25% of all goods and cross at that at that bridge.
00:31:52.000 Yeah, it's incredible.
00:31:54.000 We've had Viva Fry on the show.
00:31:57.000 We've had Ezra Levant from Rebel News talking about some of their first-hand reporting on the show this week.
00:32:03.000 It's been incredible.
