00:01:28.000We've been crisscrossing the country from Michigan to Minnesota, and we're heading to Texas this week.
00:01:35.000My day job is to go to college campuses so you don't have to, and the spread.
00:01:39.000The message of truth and of liberty, and every message I give, I make sure that I tell young people the importance of ultimate purpose.
00:01:49.000And I don't know if you noticed this, you probably have, but for many students across the country right now, they are experiencing a crisis of purpose.
00:01:58.000In fact, I was in Minnesota, in Mankato, and I had some students come up and they say, basically, what is the point of existence?
00:02:30.000Satan has done a very good job of leading us to believe that there's nothing to believe in.
00:02:35.000And we've seen that over the last year and a half.
00:02:38.000And kind of in my job, I talk about a lot of different things, but I'm trying to bring people to ultimate purpose.
00:02:46.000And the ultimate purpose is Jesus Christ.
00:02:48.000And purpose comes from a Greek word, telos, which is where we get the word telescope from, which means far out in the distance, that which is worth aiming for.
00:02:59.000And without any form of purpose, then you start to get into a lifestyle that prioritizes indulgence or pleasure and all these sorts of different things.
00:03:09.000And so I was really moved this last week when I had students come up to me.
00:03:14.000And again, the primary thing I do is not.
00:03:18.000To spread the gospel in the sense that you might think, but everywhere I go, I spread the gospel.
00:03:22.000It's no different than those of you that are plumbers or carpenters or police officers, you're able to do it through the work that you embody and you still talk about it every single day.
00:03:32.000And I was really moved when students came up to me.
00:03:35.000They said, Charlie, I'd never heard anyone in the history of this campus say that Jesus Christ was the king of the world.
00:03:44.000And it moved me back to an earlier time when I was in church.
00:03:48.000And I just know I have to get my life right with Christ.
00:03:50.000And I was just reminded that this is a good kind of lesson that I learned this last week for all of you that you need to say that every single day to somebody.
00:03:59.000And it might not be politically correct, of which, if you know me, I could not care less about that.
00:04:05.000That you need to say every single day that there is objective truth, that there is a point for your existence, that there is a God who loves you and that created you.
00:04:18.000And I don't know if any of you have had this experience before, but I was kind of jolted awake the other night with just kind of a repetition of Genesis 1 1.
00:04:26.000I was like, why can I not get Genesis 1 1 out of my head?
00:04:31.000And it's a scripture that everyone knows in one way or the other.
00:04:35.000And by the way, Raul gave me this beautiful Bible.
00:04:38.000And I'm going to get into Bibles in a second, which is a really important thing because I think physical Bibles need to have a comeback and we've got to get rid of our Bible apps.
00:04:45.000I'll get into that later, though, because I'm a big believer in physical Bibles.
00:06:51.000In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
00:06:53.000This right here should give us all comfort that there are things that we cannot do, there are things that are above our ability to understand and comprehend.
00:07:06.000And as I mentioned earlier, there is a God and we are not Him, and therefore that God is worthy of our praise.
00:07:57.000That as soon as you admit, like, wow, my human comprehension, my human sized brain cannot wrap my head around this, there's something greater than this.
00:08:09.000And we now live in a country, and I believe this the reason that we are becoming significantly less free is because we've become more secular, is because we have removed God from society.
00:08:23.000Now, this is not something that you'll hear from a lot of different people outside of the church, but I believe.
00:08:27.000That as soon as you de emphasize God, people will start to find other false religions.
00:08:32.000They'll start to find other false religions rooted in teachings that are not of the Bible.
00:08:37.000It says 365 times throughout the Bible, do not be afraid, once for every day.
00:08:44.000And yet I feel in the last year and a half we've been living in a nonstop, perpetual place of constant fear.
00:08:50.000God does not want you to be afraid, He does not.
00:08:53.000He's not giving you a spirit of fear, but a spirit of courage and that of a sound mind.
00:08:57.000And can you live a free and full life if you do not be afraid?
00:09:02.000Understand the objective meaning of God's place in society and in your life.
00:09:08.000Now, some people will say, Well, Charlie, I know lots of good atheists.
00:10:02.000Sometimes the spirit of slumber doesn't come upon you when you're watching a football game, but the spirit of slumber comes on you when you're reading the Bible because Satan wants to distract you.
00:10:10.000From reading the Word of God, He wants to take you away from this.
00:10:13.000And I know for me that when I open a Bible app, for whatever reason, whatever crisis is going on that day in my life just happens to appear and emerge.
00:10:22.000That He's gonna do whatever He possibly can to understand Satan is a person.
00:11:00.000No, I want a dedicated, unchanging, uncorruptible, non-influenced, cannot be influenced from anything, place where I can get straight and get right with God.
00:11:13.000And the other reason that I love it is that.
00:11:15.000A Bible has a certain weight and feel to it.
00:11:18.000Anyone who's been in sports or anyone who's been in law enforcement and anyone who's been in the military, and thank you to our veterans, by the way, for serving our wonderful and amazing country.
00:11:26.000And that when you use a weapon and you know the weight of it, you know the texture of it, you know the feel of it, same if you're a baseball player or a football player.
00:11:38.000I know when I pick up my Bible, this is my weapon.
00:11:41.000As soon as I pick it up, this is dedicated for a specific purpose, a connection to the divine.
00:11:48.000When I pick up my phone, that's not the purpose of the phone.
00:11:51.000In fact, for my phone, it's just kind of like, what is it today that I need to be upset about, right?

00:13:51.000I get it, but there's infinite truth in every single book of the Bible.
00:13:56.000And so I was reading Exodus and I was reading the Ten Commandments, and I just thought to myself, Am I actually following the Ten Commandments?
00:14:04.000Okay, not murdering, you know, that one's good so far, and it will remain that way.
00:14:09.000You know, honoring your mother and father, you know, all these things.
00:14:12.000And then the Sabbath, I was like, yeah, whatever.
00:14:16.000I was like, am I really too busy for that?1.00
00:14:18.000And, you know, being around a lot of Orthodox Jews, I was always so moved at how Orthodox Jews obeyed the Sabbath as if it was the kind of commandment we take it with lying and murdering.1.00
00:15:12.000Well, then what is God trying to tell you with this?
00:15:14.000So, anyway, in July, I said, you know what?
00:15:17.000I'm just, again, if you know my schedule, I'm giving 330 speeches a year.
00:15:22.000I'm doing two podcasts a day, three hours of radio a day, and then also running an organization with 200 employees and having to raise the money for all that.
00:15:59.000You understand, God gave us the Ten Commandments to bless us.
00:16:03.000God gave us the Ten Commandments not because He hates you, but if you follow them, that you're blessed.
00:16:07.000And this is a totally different way to view the Decalogue than what most of secular society will tell you, right?
00:16:14.000Most of secular society will act as if God is the fun police.
00:16:18.000He gives you the Ten Commandments because He doesn't want you to live like the rest of people.
00:16:23.000It's the exact opposite of the truth, and I'll prove it to you.
00:16:25.000Is that sometime at the 12 o'clock service, not you, because you're at the 8 o'clock service, someone's going to stumble in because they made bad decisions last night.
00:16:32.000You all made wonderful decisions last night because you're here at the 8 o'clock service.
00:18:22.000You could do things you otherwise wouldn't do.
00:18:24.000Now, this might not be relevant to everyone in the audience, but I know for young people, this is extremely relevant because you live off of these devices as if they're some sort of.
00:18:36.000And ever since I was able to turn off the phone and just take a legitimate Sabbath, all of a sudden those other six days are centered around that one day.
00:18:45.000All of a sudden it leads up to, and so yesterday I took the 24 hours, which you actually look at the Bible, it really is Friday night to Saturday night.
00:18:52.000Not against Sunday church, I'm actually very insupportive of it.
00:20:30.000I believe that if you actually use the reason that God gave you, we'll get into reason maybe in this service or the next service, that we actually grow closer to God.
00:20:40.000However, I believe that if you have the spirit of trying to prove God wrong, then you'll find some reason not to believe in Him.
00:21:01.000But they certainly do not care in their viewpoint as much as Christianity for intention.0.88
00:21:07.000We care about did you mean to do well or what is the intention of your heart?
00:21:13.000In Judaism, they say what actually ended up happening, a very more legalistic, law based way to look at things, where Jesus Christ knows that, hey, not only should you not commit adultery, But if you lust with your eyes, you've already committed adultery in your heart.
00:21:30.000Almost impossible for human beings to live up to.
00:21:35.000Because it's not just what happens outside, it's also what happens inside.
00:21:39.000And so, the significance of this, I believe, in more ways than one, is that we must understand that in the world that we're living in, we must try to prioritize obedience to God and obedience to a transcendent order.
00:21:54.000And obviously, this is kind of, you know.
00:21:59.000We have people in most of society and most in cultural institutions that want to glorify and glamorize the watering down of God.
00:22:10.000And I want to say this again that if you follow God's commandments, you will be blessed.
00:22:15.000And we should do everything we possibly can to try to tell people that the laws of nature and nature's God, as the founding fathers wrote in the Declaration of Independence, or as it says in Galatians 3, that the law is a schoolteacher to Christ.
00:22:31.000It's there to actually have you grow closer to God.

00:23:45.000And so, a couple things I just want to kind of mention, and I encourage you guys to come to the next services.
00:23:50.000Every service will be different because it's kind of off the cuff.
00:28:24.000It's when we decide that things that feel good that we know that are not good for us, especially in the sexual domain, that's where Satan is licking his chops and he knows he's got you.
00:28:35.000He knows that's where human beings are in some ways at their weakest.
00:28:38.000This is why it says in the New Testament flee from sexual immorality.
00:28:43.000And it goes on to say that Satan prowls the earth, in 1 Peter, prowls the earth like a lion looking for those to devour.
00:28:52.000It's a pretty profound statement, isn't it?
00:28:54.000Now, again, I'm not sure any of you expected to come at an 8 a.m. service and hear about Satan, but you'll be glad you did because he's real, okay?
00:29:02.000The third thing is by who you surround yourself with and what you put into your mind and what you put into your soul.
00:29:08.000This is a very important thing that you are a combined moving average of the five people you spend the most time with.
00:29:17.000Go home tonight and list the people you spend the most time with, the five people you spend the most time with.
00:29:22.000Not your five best friends, not the five people you want to be with, but just an allotment of time.
00:29:39.000What kind of music are you listening to?
00:29:41.000If you listen to music that is constantly glorifying, tearing people down instead of building people up, all of a sudden those are vectors.
00:29:50.000For the enemy to be able to get into you, to be able to try and corrupt you.
00:29:54.000And so those are three very simple ways.
00:29:57.000And one of my favorite scriptures in the entire Bible, again, let's try to bring back physical Bibles.
00:31:11.000No coincidence that Satan then prays on Jesus when he's at his weakest.
00:31:17.000Everyone here in this room, when you are tired, when you have to work that second shift, when you have to get up at 3 a.m. to go drive a friend to the airport, When your son messes up, Satan has you targeted immediately.
00:31:31.000You know, when you sleep in and you're working out and you're listening to praise music, you're fine.
00:33:51.000Well, if you want to hear about Jesus, you got to know what is the consequence of not accepting Jesus, which is permanent rebellion, living in discord and disharmony.
00:34:03.000I talk about jobs and industries on this show all the time, but I didn't expect to find an entire skills trade community on TikTok.
00:34:10.000Plumbers, electrician, builders, and contractors sharing the work they do every day.
00:34:15.000And it went way beyond tips and tricks.
00:34:17.000People were sharing their craft, connecting with local contractors, and talking about how they were building their businesses and growing their teams.
00:34:24.000It opened my eyes to how people in the trades are using TikTok to share their skills, make connections, and find new opportunities.
00:34:30.000I remember thinking, this is exactly what we need more of people sharing what they know and creating opportunities for others.
00:34:36.000And I never expected to find a community like this.
00:34:41.000You start with something you know, and suddenly you're finding a whole new side of it that surprises you and leaves you wanting to know more.

00:34:55.000And so Jesus never questions that Satan can give momentary gain and pleasure here on earth.
00:35:03.000And he said to him, If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, He will command His angels concerning you.
00:35:39.000I don't think I have time to get into it.
00:35:42.000And again, the devil took him to a high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory and said to him, All these things I will give to you if you fall down and worship me.
00:35:50.000And then Satan said to him, Go, Satan, or go away, Satan, depending on your translation, for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God and serve him only.
00:36:03.000Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and began to minister to him.
00:36:07.000Now, depending on the translation, some will say that the angels kind of caught him because Jesus was exhausted in the earthly form because it's tough work to fight Satan in the earthly form.
00:36:20.000Only Jesus' divine nature was able to defeat Satan.
00:36:23.000Understand, Satan being the rebel, being a deceiver, being a serpent, being the usurper, he tried everything he could to overthrow God and took one third of all angels with him.
00:36:37.000When Jesus, in another scripture in Mark, tried to take, was confronted with demon possessed people, he said, What is your name?
00:36:45.000He said, My name is Legion because we are many.
00:36:49.000Now, this is a really important question for a lot of Christians, which is Are we understanding correctly that what's happening in our country and our nation around us is a spiritual battle, not a material battle?
00:37:45.000I'm going to say if you are experiencing spiritual battle and you're doing pretty well in those three things, that means you're doing something consequential enough that Satan is going to try to use his limited resources to come after you.
00:38:34.000Maybe you're not doing something consequential enough for Satan to take you seriously.
00:38:44.000Where every significant pastor who's really making a difference that I know, every Christian music artist, every person that's contesting for truth, said this year has been one of the toughest when it comes to spiritual warfare I've ever experienced.
00:39:16.000For the church that remains open, courageous, going to other countries, ministering, winning souls for Christ, he's like, whoa, there's a problem there.
00:39:27.000That's something I want you to pray about, which is if you're not experiencing that kind of spiritual warfare, if this message didn't resonate with you, maybe you've got it all figured out.
00:40:02.000Number one, so in the other services, we'll talk about the country a little bit more.
00:40:05.000I wanted to make, I didn't really know what I wanted to make this message, but I hope it was, I hope it blessed you, because it's right out of the Bible.
00:40:11.000And so the first thing I want to say is this people ask, they say, Charlie, how can we stay in touch with you?
00:40:17.000Just kind of as a side note, We are on thousands of high school and college campuses across the country.
00:40:33.000Yeah, read the whole Bible cover to cover in one year.

00:41:09.000But it's also to set people free of governmental tyranny, to set people free of the tyranny of their own nature, set people free of the tyranny of bad laws and bad leaders.
00:41:19.000We'll get into that in other services.
00:41:21.000But one way that every person can support us, if this resonated with you, We do at least once a week, sometimes twice a week, right out of the Bible teaching what's happening in the world and what you can do about it on our podcast.
00:42:47.000Grace is unlike any other word that we understand.
00:42:51.000Justice is you getting what you deserve.
00:42:53.000You go in front of a judge, and the judge says, Okay, I'm going to sentence you to 10 years in prison because you stole something from a store.
00:43:01.000Mercy is getting less of what you deserve.
00:43:04.000You get five years in prison instead of 10 years.
00:43:07.000Grace, and we will all face God, the judge, when we die.
00:43:12.000I don't know if you know this, but everyone dies.
00:43:15.000It's important to remind yourself of that.
00:43:17.000That you face God, the judge, and he's going to list everything you did wrong in your life.
00:43:23.000It's going to be a long sentencing hearing for me.
00:43:27.000Well, you get justice, which is hell, because that's what we deserve, mercy, which is less of that, which I'll allow the theologians to figure out what that is, or grace.
00:43:36.000Grace is something so unique, so different, so profound, which is as soon as the sentencing is about to be ushered in, someone comes in and says, No, I will serve that prison sentence for him.
00:43:48.000I will go into the prison cell for him or her so that they can live forever.
00:44:02.000It's that it's equally accepted for all people that allow Jesus Christ to be your Savior, the Savior of the world, to be born new and to be completely and totally renewed.
00:44:12.000That's a gift that we must try to give all people in the world.
00:44:16.000And for those of you that have not given your life to Christ, I could tell you it is the most freeing, liberating thing that a human being can possibly do.
00:44:24.000The most important thing that you can do, which is to be born anew into the kingdom of God.
00:44:33.000And there's a competition right now, and Satan is trying to tell people this doesn't matter.
00:44:41.000But there is a God who loves you, He loves you enough to give you an opportunity and a chance to be able to live forever in eternal communion with Him.
00:44:54.000Our nature is nasty, it's brutish, it's short, and it's awful to one another.
00:45:00.000And so, for my purposes and for all of you, maybe you're like me, where your primary job is not always to spread this type of message.
00:45:09.000Well, Martin Luther had a great quote.
00:45:11.000He said that a Christian will not be known by putting a cross in every shoe, but it's living out the gospel in every interaction and every conversation and proclaiming the gospel at all places you possibly can.
00:45:26.000So, this is something that is profoundly important for every single Christian to focus on.
00:45:31.000And so, just to kind of summarize some of the things we talked about, which is that there is a God and we are not him, and he wants to live in eternity with you and for you.
