00:02:59.000I think the whole thing was hilarious.
00:03:00.000By the way, we as conservatives, We can take a joke, unlike the left.
00:03:03.000They're so serious with themselves all the time.
00:03:06.000And I got to tell you, we actually could play some of the clips here.
00:03:09.000Before I play some of the clips here, I just want to say this is just a testament to how powerful and how viral and influential what Turning Point USA has been able to do on campuses across the country.
00:03:22.000And if they're not making fun of you, you're not making a difference.
00:03:27.000And I'll tell you, so they, I could tell you, one of the things I'm probably most proud of, of my entire life, Is that on South Park?0.68
00:03:37.000I guess I have been able to get them to make a pretty good argument against abortion on South Park, thanks to my videos.0.82
00:03:44.000So, not only that, we'll play another video of them quoting the Bible on South Park.
00:03:51.000So, let's start with this video where someone comes up to the master of debate.
00:04:27.000And quoting scripture, pro life argument, and again, as we like to say at Turning Point USA and all of our work, we are living in their feeds rent free, their social media feeds.
00:04:40.000And it's a major win and huge cultural victory for sure.
00:04:45.000Well, Charlie, let's get into some of the things that are happening in our country that are big, big, big things.
00:04:52.000And you really have a well balanced, good take on what should happen, what needs to happen, what is happening.
00:05:02.000And so let's talk about that for a little bit, if you would.
00:05:05.000Well, first of all, last time I was here with all of you guys, Joe Biden, I think, technically was still president, and Kamala Harris was running for the presidency.
00:05:18.000And a year ago, we were averaging thousands of people. Coming across our border that were not invited, and now our border is completely secure.
00:05:30.000And in fact, I would not yet say that New Mexico is safe, but it's safer.
00:05:37.000Your violent crime rate is going down, your homicides are going down.
00:05:40.000Of course, the local media won't put two and two together.
00:05:43.000Oh, wait, when you do deportations and you deport the violent criminals and secure the southern border, Albuquerque becomes more livable.
00:05:51.000And all of a sudden, violent crime starts to go down.
00:05:53.000The numbers, by the way, are pretty amazing if you look at it.
00:05:56.000It's still one of the more dangerous cities in America.
00:06:48.000We are a country of laws, and we need to understand that the law abiding immigrants in this country should not be penalized for those that try to come from everywhere around the world.
00:06:58.000And this is not just a Central South American issue.
00:07:01.000Over 130 countries from around the world were represented of people that were coming across the southern border a year ago.
00:07:07.000So the border is completely secure, which is amazing.
00:07:10.000And now President Donald Trump is going forward in the biggest deportation effort in American history.
00:07:15.000And some people say, oh, I don't know if I like that.
00:07:17.000Either we're a nation of laws or we're not a nation of laws.
00:07:20.000What other law should we make an excuse for?
00:07:26.000And people say, well, it's not the same thing.
00:07:28.000Sometimes it's not the same thing, but some people come here and they steal social security numbers.
00:07:32.000Some people come here and they have fraudulent identities, but here is the core basis.
00:07:37.000We are a nation, and a nation must fundamentally have something in common.
00:07:42.000And if you come here, and most importantly of the entire conversation, if you come here and you don't assimilate, and this is the biblical component here that we need to talk about immigration without assimilation is an invasion.0.71
00:07:56.000And when you do not assimilate to the United States of America, so what does that mean?
00:08:00.000You learn English, this is your home, this is your country.
00:08:04.000This is the place that you are willing to bleed for, that die for.
00:08:07.000This is the place that is your new homeland.
00:08:11.000And the difference that I found so often is that we have always said to people that have come to this country the last couple decades, you're allowed to come with all of these rights and all of these privileges and all of these benefits, but no expectations.0.95
00:08:26.000We need to have expectations for the people that come to the United States of America.0.97
00:08:29.000The first expectation follow the rules of the land when you come here.0.91
00:08:35.000And Steve, I want you to give your example because we were talking about this backstage because some people try to.
00:08:41.000Misuse biblical scripture to justify open borders.
00:08:46.000Just so we are clear, the idea of borders comes from scripture.
00:08:49.000The idea of boundaries and barriers comes from the Bible.
00:08:53.000But most importantly, whenever the Bible talked about immigration, it talked about assimilation to the laws and the customs and the traditions of the nation of Israel.0.95
00:09:03.000And this is the most important thing.1.00
00:09:05.000We are a very welcoming and generous nation, but we should not put up with people that come to the United States, especially.1.00
00:09:12.000The Muslim immigrants that we've seen across this country, and they don't want to assimilate to the United States of America.1.00
00:09:17.000They want to bring third world ideas into our nation and our country.1.00
00:09:21.000And by the way, this is a colorblind idea.0.90
00:09:23.000If you are out here and you're Hispanic or if you're white, all of us together, this transcends skin color.
00:09:29.000This is not about red, this is not about black, this is not about white, this is not about Asian.
00:09:33.000It's about red, white, and blue being the ultimate connective tissue of the United States of America.
00:09:38.000And so, Steve, I want to reiterate though the biblical side of this because some people will say, well, The Bible tells us that we must open up our borders to all people at all times.
00:09:52.000But most importantly, in the book of Deuteronomy, it says, Be careful who you allow into your nation, because who you allow into your nation can one day become your masters.
00:10:01.000Here's a verse that I actually had, I was looking at earlier that I want to read.0.72
00:10:05.000It's from the book of Numbers, which is a phenomenal book.
00:10:09.000The real title of the book of Numbers is In the Wilderness, but I wish it would be called that.
00:10:29.000This should be every time you talk about immigration, you should say, One law and one rule shall be for you and for the stranger who sojourners with you.
00:10:38.000There are no alternative laws, there are no alternative customs.
00:10:42.000We have one law equally applicable to all Americans, regardless of where you come from or regardless of the story that you tell.
00:10:50.000And you think about it the legal immigrants that have come here, you say, Wait a second.
00:10:55.000Why can this person come with a DUI on their record?0.99
00:10:59.000They could start carjacking, cut in line, steal a social security number, when if I did one thing wrong that I came here legally, I would be deported.
00:11:06.000And when you say it's not fair, you're right.
00:11:08.000It wasn't fair under Joe Biden, but fairness is coming back to our immigration system thanks to Donald Trump.
00:11:16.000You know, Charlie, biblically, people say those things, and it just amazes me where they get it from.
00:11:22.000But when Rahab, the prostitute, saved the spies, helped them get out, they said they would save her and her family, whoever's in her home at the time.
00:11:29.000And when she was taking, when they overtook Jericho and she was taken out, she wasn't even allowed in their camp.0.91
00:11:36.000She had to stay outside the camp until she was assimilated as a Jew.0.89
00:11:41.000And what people miss is that God set this up.0.80
00:11:43.000Folks, if we're in a war, I don't want someone next to me that I don't know that's going to help.
00:12:05.000And this is what he said to me was interesting.
00:12:06.000He said, Pastor Steve, of all the people I talked to, you're the only one I've talked to that understands the Constitution as well as I do, and I'm from Jamaica.
00:12:15.000And because he assimilated into our culture.
00:12:18.000And I think that's what Charlie's talking about, folks.
00:12:20.000We just can't have people coming in here randomly holding up flags from other nations.
00:12:24.000This is and always will be the United States of America.
00:12:32.000And we are very welcoming, but we will not tolerate you coming here.1.00
00:12:37.000Wave a foreign flag of any origination and then act as if that is the American thing to do.0.99
00:12:43.000Our ancestors of all different skin colors and all different backgrounds that built America, they forgot their foreign flag and they pledged allegiance to a singular creed, the United States of America.
00:12:55.000And if that offends you, then we're in the middle of the most important debate in America, which is that if you do not assimilate in the national project, you don't have a nation.
00:13:46.000And the fact that it's been one party Democrat rule in this state for far too long.
00:13:51.000But the more I travel, the more I study, the more I realize widespread public crime is a choice.
00:13:59.000It is a choice by your leaders not to put police on the streets and convict the criminals.
00:14:06.000And this, by the way, Is again, it's not a skin color thing, they always like to racialize it.
00:14:12.000But if you guys say no, you don't feel safe allowing your kids to play out at night in your home city, then your leaders have failed you and they should all be fired regardless of their political affiliation.
00:14:28.000Because a very simple part of being an American should be that you feel at home in your community.
00:14:37.000I mean, the joke that someone said to me recently is like, Yeah, I have to shower with my pistol because I don't know what's going to come to the front door.
00:15:00.000It's not an indictment of the people, it's an indictment of your leaders.
00:15:04.000It's an indictment of what your leaders have allowed to happen to you.
00:15:07.000And whether it be the widespread homelessness, the open air drug addiction, or the easy on crime policies, Now that we have a secure southern border, I think we could start to finally get New Mexico to back where it was 30 or 40 years ago when it comes to crime.
00:15:25.000But I just hesitate because if the young ladies in this room don't feel safe walking the streets of downtown Albuquerque, then there's something.
00:15:36.000Again, everyone's laughing and you should laugh because, of course, you don't feel safe.
00:15:39.000The police officers don't feel safe sometimes walking the streets of Albuquerque.
00:15:43.000And again, we like to insult some of these other countries like, oh, you know, Japan or South Korea.
00:15:50.000You could walk the streets of Tokyo and you would be just fine.
00:15:54.000You could walk the streets of Seoul, South Korea.
00:15:56.000And you know one thing that Japan has in common?
00:16:02.000And now we have decided to embark on a bigger and broader project where we bring a lot of different people here.
00:16:07.000But the failure to assimilate to, hey, here in America, you're not able just to go assault a woman at 1 a.m., or you're not able to just steal a car.
00:16:34.000And so crime has quickly become one of my top political issues.
00:16:39.000And it's tied a little bit into the immigration issue, without a doubt.
00:16:43.000But in this state in particular, I believe there's a once silent, increasingly vocal majority in the state that is sick of the lies, the deceit, the corruption, the lack of safety that your leaders have exhibited.
00:16:59.000And I think it's time to completely clean house in this state.
00:17:02.000And allow a new generation of leaders to take hold.
00:17:07.000And you know, Charlie, we should demand that by our media too.
00:17:10.000The media doesn't say anything about her, won't.
00:18:41.000But you guys should give yourselves a round of applause because this church stood courageously against wokeism during COVID and the years subsequent.
00:18:51.000Critical race theory, postmodernism, deconstructionism, questioning biblical inerrancy, undermining the community of the Christian project, which is the church.
00:19:02.000And I think we're doing a good job of pushing wokeism out.
00:19:05.000That can be better understood as Marxism.
00:19:08.000Wokeism is call something racist until you control it.
00:19:11.000Call something unjust until you control it.
00:19:14.000So, I hope everyone understands that in the West right now, there is a project that is underway.
00:20:04.000The bigger question, though, is what happens when you import tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of this foreign ideology?0.67
00:20:12.000And out of all the different backgrounds, the one ideology that has the worst track record of assimilating with the United States of America is Islam.0.90
00:20:21.000And we are right now on the precipice of having the mayor of New York City.0.96
00:20:25.000And the mayor of London, both being Muslim.
00:20:29.000Now, you might say, well, how does that impact me here in Albuquerque, New Mexico?
00:20:32.000Now, I don't know if you guys have a big Muslim issue or not here in New Mexico.
00:20:41.000If our greatest, I shouldn't say greatest, if our biggest city is about to fall to an Islamic mayor, we should take a step back 24 years after 9 11 and we should ask ourselves the question.0.99
00:20:56.000Why did we send all of these hundreds of thousands of young men and women to go fight in Iraq and Afghanistan just to have that ideology come to the biggest city in the United States of America, New York City?0.97
00:21:08.000And so we need to take what does and how does that impact all of you here in New Mexico?
00:21:14.000Again, you're a little bit removed from it.
00:21:17.000But from the top down, understand that this parasitic ideology is about conquering without ever having to fire a shot.
00:21:26.000It is not done with tanks or mortar shells or with drones.0.98
00:21:31.000It is conquering via maternity wards.0.95
00:21:35.000It's conquering in the delivery room.0.99
00:21:38.000Mass production of new babies that are brought in via mass immigration.0.83
00:21:43.000You might say, oh, Charlie, you're just exaggerating.1.00
00:21:46.000The mayor of Minneapolis is about to be a Muslim.0.88
00:21:50.000So you're about to have Minneapolis and you're about to have New York City.0.84
00:21:52.000Do you think Ilhan Omar has assimilated the United States of America or Rashida Tlaib or Zorhan Mamdani?
00:21:59.000Again, if we are part of the United States of America, we should care about when our biggest city is about to fall to this kind of ideology.0.99
00:22:06.000And Islam is not compatible with Western civilization.1.00
00:22:10.000Islam is at odds with all the freedoms that we enjoy.1.00
00:22:14.000They do not believe in any separation between mosque and state.1.00
00:22:18.000They do not believe in freedom of speech or freedom of expression.
00:22:20.000They do not believe in the freedom to criticize the government.
00:22:23.000The practices that we enjoy are so great here in the United States of America.
00:22:27.000And here's the one thing that's the kicker.
00:22:29.000You have this axis, again, the red green axis, this Marxism Mohammedan axis.0.50
00:23:00.000They'll throw you off a roof once they're done with us, okay?
00:23:05.000But their hatred and their venom to want to suffocate the United States is what unifies them.
00:23:12.000So, the first thing that needs to happen is you need more pastors like Steve Smotherman that are willing to speak out very plainly about the spiritual implications.
00:23:25.000Now, a lot of people are talking about Israel.
00:23:27.000I'm sure we'll get a question or two on Israel.
00:23:57.000And as London became more secular and as London became less religious, they imported more Middle Eastern Muslim immigrants and it was unrecognizable.1.00
00:24:09.000Midterm elections are coming up and control of Congress is on the line.0.81
00:24:14.000If there's one thing financial markets hate, it's uncertainty.
00:24:17.000And uncertainty is exactly what the next few months are going to bring.
00:24:22.000If it taught us anything, it's that uncertainty breeds volatility.
00:24:26.000Between now and November could be one of the most volatile stretches for the stock market and the economy.
00:24:32.000So you owe it to yourself to have a plan.
00:24:34.000Here's the good part there's a simple way to protect what you've built, and that's gold.
00:24:39.000Physical gold and silver let you hedge against that volatility.
00:24:43.000And there's no better partner for it than Noble Gold Investments.
00:24:46.000For over a decade, Noble Gold has helped everyday Americans protect their wealth with precious metals.
00:24:51.000They make it simple, they make it easy.
00:25:15.000And here's the best part: To celebrate America's 250th, just mention the Charlie Kirk Show when you call Noble Gold, and they'll send you a free 10-ounce silver bar when you open a new qualified account.
00:25:26.000Mention the Charlie Kirk Show, that's all you got to do, and they'll do the rest.
00:25:32.000And so, Steve, but here's the one good piece of news that I want to mention, and then I want you to riff on Islam as well.0.98
00:25:37.000That we are starting to see a resurgence of people going back to church.0.87
00:25:41.000Gen Z is the most Christian generation that we have seen in 50 years.
00:25:48.000We are seeing young men give their life to Jesus.
00:25:52.000Forrest Frank is one of the most downloaded to and listened to Christian artists out there.
00:26:01.000Downloads, a disproportion of them are Christian.0.77
00:26:05.000But the spiritual battle is coming to the West.0.56
00:26:08.000And the enemies are wokeism or Marxism combining with Islamism to go after what we call the American way of life.0.74
00:26:16.000And the American way of life is very simple.1.00
00:26:18.000I want to be able to get married, buy a home, have kids, allow them to ride their bike till the sun goes down, send them to a good school, have a low crime neighborhood, not to have my kid be taught the lesbian, gay, Transgender garbage in their school.0.99
00:26:36.000While also, while also not having them have to hear the Muslim call to prayer five times a day.0.99
00:27:49.000And I know when you watch movies or shows, they depict it as this nice, kind religion that everybody's so sweet and we're being so unfairly treated.
00:28:37.000And then consummated the marriage when she was nine years old.
00:28:42.000We believe the greatest man ever to live defeated death at the grave, rose three days later, and when it came to children, said it's better for you.
00:28:56.000To have a millstone hung around your neck than to go after one of these children.
00:29:01.000I'm sorry, I'm Team Jesus on this one.0.53
00:29:11.000And I want to comment on the wokeism stuff too, everybody, which is that if you know of a church that has a gay pride flag outside of that church, that is not a church, that's something else.
00:29:23.000And I'm not trying to attack the individuals running that church, Steve might.
00:30:50.000The three most important things that every church should talk about, and Steve talks about it every Sunday, is where did I come from or how did I get here?
00:32:13.000But if you see someone that is sinning, you take them privately.
00:32:17.000Say, hey, you're not living Christ like in this way, this way, this way.0.97
00:32:21.000Either you're engaging in homosexuality or you're fornicating or you're cohabitating.0.99
00:32:26.000And by the way, we're not just picking on homosexuality.0.89
00:32:29.000If you are living with somebody before you get married, you are sinning, and that is the sin of cohabitation.0.64
00:32:35.000If you are sleeping with somebody before you get married, that is the sin of premarital sex.
00:32:40.000And even worse than even all of those, if you are sleeping with a married person or sleeping while you are married, that is the sin of adultery, which in the Old Testament, Was punishable by death.
00:32:50.000I'm not saying it should be punishable by death, but it was a very serious sin in the Old Testament, right?
00:32:55.000But if I see somebody either, you know, they are not living in a standard befitting of God, they might be recklessly gambling.
00:33:02.000By the way, we have a huge gambling problem in this country.
00:33:05.000The sports gambling stuff is getting totally out of control.
00:33:09.000And young men, I want to tell you before football season kicks off there's a much better use of your time than trying to do a parlay bet on DraftKings or FanDuel.
00:33:18.000Spend that money on yourself, by improvement on your family.
00:33:52.000Jesus says, do not judge, lest you not be judged.0.99
00:33:56.000Oh, hypocrite, which by the way is a judgment.0.91
00:33:59.000Jesus was telling us how to judge, not not to judge.0.98
00:34:03.000It is one of the misquoted, most misunderstood scriptures.
00:34:07.000And instead, what we need to do is we need to talk about the perfect standard that Jesus puts up and how we fall short of it, and that we as the church need to constantly be aiming towards the holiness.
00:34:19.000Some people say, well, Charlie, you know, I just want to be happy in marriage.
00:34:22.000No, you don't want to be happy in marriage.
00:34:47.000Every Sunday, Steve is doing altar calls.
00:34:50.000Because the most important question of all the questions, the most important question is not how am I going to pay my mortgage, the most important question is not how much money I have in the bank account.
00:35:47.000To the modern church, happiness is the goal, judgment is the ultimate sin, and God is just a guess.
00:35:53.000In a true biblical church like the one you're sitting in, God is the ultimate truth, holiness is the goal, and the greatest sin is blaspheming in the name of God and defiling the name of Jesus Christ.0.87
00:36:07.000That's how you know you're sitting in a Bible-based church.0.86
00:36:35.000And the reason he does this is because he's a believer.
00:36:38.000And God has elevated him supernaturally for this day.
00:36:42.000And I believe he did it through COVID in a big way because Charlie was the only person out there that had a voice that was being listened to that was talking about the evils of it.
00:36:52.000Now it's proved that it was all a hoax.
00:36:55.000And I want to, again, we're going to throw, we're going to do a volleyball of compliments back here, right?
00:37:00.000It's like a pickleball of compliments.
00:37:01.000But Steve, I stood here on this stage, I think in 2020 or 2021, and you were the only place open.
00:37:10.000And we talked about, you guys supported me.
00:40:45.000Exaggerative writing, or is that literal everlasting covenant with the people of Israel?
00:40:50.000Now, and then the question is, what Israel?
00:40:52.000I'll get kind of get into that in a second.
00:40:54.000Now, in kind of normative Protestant teaching, and Steve, you could chime in at any time, there is a spectrum all between dispensationalism or cessationism, all the way something from called remnant theology.
00:41:08.000But the most important thing in the question that we must ask is, do we believe that the land rights given to Israel seven times throughout Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, and repeated in Joshua? Are completely null and void.
00:41:22.000And the second part, which is important for those people that believe in replacement theology, do you believe that when it ends times prophecy, when it says Israel, the physical place of Israel, that that has any connection to the actual physical place today?
00:41:35.000Now you say, where should your loyalty lie?
00:41:37.000Where I disagree with some pastors is where they say we must defend everything that the Israeli government does.
00:41:43.000You should not defend everything that the Israeli government does, period.
00:41:48.000You are loyal to one thing only you are loyal to Jesus Christ.
00:42:26.000What I think is happening though is that sometimes there's a theological argument and a geopolitical argument.
00:42:32.000The theological one, I'll let Steve kind of chime in on what the position of his church is, I think should be very simple, which is that the error I think replacement theology makes can be found in Romans 9, 10, or 11.
00:42:45.000Where in Romans 11, Paul basically says, We are grafted in to the old covenant, that we are an extension to the Jewish people on top of us.
00:42:54.000That he says, No, even though the old covenant is way, do not cast away the people of Israel.
00:43:00.000But instead, we are a covenant on top of.
00:43:02.000Now, there is an equally as confusing verse in Hebrews 10 that sometimes gets used by replacement theology.
00:43:08.000I don't want to get into that, but it's somewhat taken out of context.
00:43:12.000But the one other aspect, I got a lot of thoughts on this.
00:43:16.000The other aspect that I think is very concerning is that as this debate has come up, and your question was beautiful and wonderful, some people have used this debate as an excuse to peddle their Jew hate.
00:43:28.000And there is a disturbing rise online by some people of people that want to blame the Jews.
00:43:34.000For why they have no money in their bank account and why their car ran out of gas and why they can't make good decisions.
00:43:40.000Everybody, if you are blaming the Jews for your decisions, you are on a bad self destructive cycle and you should stop immediately and repent.
00:43:48.000That is evil and that is dark and that is wrong.
00:43:56.000The Israeli government has really bad abortion policies, the Israeli government has gay pride parades in downtown Tel Aviv, the Israeli government pushed the vaccine on all their people.0.55
00:44:06.000And basically, turned Israel into a petri dish for a vaccine that none of us supported.0.54
00:44:11.000I don't like the fact that the Israeli government mistakenly or unmistakably bombed the church the last couple of weeks ago.
00:44:17.000With all that being said, though, Israel looks like a much better country when contrasted with what I said earlier with Islamic totalitarianism around it.1.00
00:45:14.000Not all of them, but the country, the whole of the Jewish community, most of them have rejected Jesus as the Messiah, even though he was Jewish.0.71
00:46:17.000And just a couple of thoughts in closing.
00:46:19.000There are a lot of verses I want you to think about, which it talks about I will bring you from scattered nations and bring you into a great nation, which very well I believe, I have a hard time not believing that it's a fulfillment of prophecy when the nation of Israel was created.
00:47:04.000My question is, from a Christian perspective, if Jesus Christ, Lord, will be the president of the U.S. tomorrow, what do you think will be his perspective of migration at the moment?
00:47:17.000Oh, first of all, I don't think Jesus would ever have to be president or would want to be president, but I mean, look, Jesus is 100% truth and 100% grace.
00:47:27.000And by the way, Jesus is God, and God gave us the law.
00:47:30.000And so, again, I'm speculating on what Christ our Lord would do, but Christ our Lord would say, follow the laws.
00:47:35.000As he followed the laws and the customs of the Roman Empire when render under Caesar what was Caesar.
00:47:40.000So he would say, what do the laws of America say?
00:47:44.000And he would say, do so compassionately, do so lovingly.
00:47:47.000And if you came here illegally or you broke the law, then what does the law say you do?0.75
00:47:51.000You'll be deported back to your country of origin.0.57
00:48:44.000As long as you're willing to assimilate, right?
00:48:46.000And you have to come here the right way.
00:48:49.000Look, I'm speculating on what Christ our Lord would do as President of the United States.0.86
00:48:52.000All I can say is what the Bible teaches, and the Bible is very clear when it comes to immigration, which is tall walls, doors with certain standards, assimilate, and if not, you will be removed from that nation.0.87
00:49:32.000Before he ever stepped onto a debate stage or behind a microphone, Charlie understood something really important.
00:49:38.000That if you want to lead, you first have to learn.
00:49:41.000Charlie believed that ideas shape character, conviction, and courage.
00:49:45.000That's why he spent years studying the classics, the American founding, and the Bible through Hillsdale College's free online courses.
00:49:51.000He would rave about these courses all the time.
00:49:54.000These free online courses are taught by Hillsdale College professors and draw from the same great books and enduring ideas studied on Hillsdale's campus.
00:50:02.000Hillsdale's newest free online course is the Iliad, where Professor Stephen Smith guides students through Homer's great Epic of Honor.
00:50:09.000Courage, friendship, leadership, and the pursuit of true greatness.
00:50:13.000For nearly 3,000 years, the Iliad has shaped the Western imagination.
00:50:17.000It tells the story of Achilles as he confronts injustice, rage, grief, responsibility, and the terrible costs of war.
00:50:23.000But Homer's epic is more than a story of ancient battles.
00:50:26.000It raises enduring questions about courage, duty, leadership, sacrifice, and self command.
00:50:32.000Achilles is the greatest warrior among the Greeks, but Homer asks whether strength alone is enough to make a man truly great.
00:50:38.000In this new free online course, you'll follow Achilles through the defining trials of his life.
00:50:43.000And discover why one of the greatest works of Western literature still speaks to the permanent questions of human life.
00:50:49.000Charlie understood that learning isn't just about gaining knowledge, it's about forming the mind and character needed to face the challenges of life with wisdom and courage.
00:50:58.000You can enroll today completely free and take this class or their 40 plus other free online courses.
00:51:04.000Just visit charlieforhillsdale.com to start learning today.
00:51:53.000Smarter, wiser, happier, more direction, more purpose, less corrupted, more understanding, more battle ready, better prepared, less confused, more biblical, more grounded, more Christ like.
00:52:07.000If you are homeschooling, homeschool your kids if you can.
00:52:45.000Hello, my name is Sonia, and this is my third time with you asking the question, but it's really in line with homeschool.
00:52:53.000And it's what can we do as a church to support parents when, you know, the Department of Education hopefully.
00:53:01.000They'll be able to give funds to parents, but this state is awful when it comes to educating our students.
00:53:08.000So, what can we do if parents get the funds?
00:53:11.000How can the church support the parents?
00:53:13.000And is there like an alliance, a parent teacher alliance, separate from the teachers' unions now, that can be formed to help those parents teach them?
00:53:25.000Yeah, I mean, so at our organization, we have Turning Point Education at Turning Point USA, and we create alliances of homeschool parents all across the country.
00:53:36.000This state does not have high enough homeschool rates.
00:53:40.000The homeschool rates are actually mostly in the southeastern part of the state near Roswell.
00:53:45.000That's where homeschooling is a lot more popular.
00:53:47.000In this part of the state, it's not as high as it should be.1.00
00:53:51.000We're homeschooling our kids for a lot of different reasons, but also, honestly, I don't want to deal with not just the LGBT, I don't want to deal with the vaccine mandates, I don't want to deal with any of that stuff.0.95
00:54:01.000And I want my kids to learn the Bible correctly, U.S. history correctly, civics, philosophy.0.98
00:54:08.000And for anyone that thinks homeschooling is like a cutting of corners, it's harder than government run schools.
00:54:14.000Have you seen some of this homeschool curriculum?
00:54:28.000Meaning it's not a problem for you, it's a problem for our society.0.71
00:54:30.000We should make it where the husband or the breadwinner, which should be the husband in a typical biblical context, unless there's an absolute extreme circumstance, Most times it works biologically and theologically better for the husband to be the breadwinner, where he can make enough money so the mom can stay home and homeschool the kids if they choose.
00:54:50.000It is a broken country where both, and it's not your fault.
00:54:55.000You are participating in a broken economy where both of you have to go to work and you have to hand your kid off to the government masters.
00:55:02.000That's broken and that's wrong, and we should try to fix it.
00:55:05.000You know, and Sonia, we host the homeschool convention every year.
00:55:09.000We host it, and their graduation, we host it.
00:55:14.000And even though we have our own Christian school, and I believe it's a whole lot better than the public school, we do support the homeschoolers.
00:56:21.000I want to become a teacher in early childhood, but many programs include courses designed to train future teachers in gender affirming practices and inclusivity, which conflicts with my beliefs.0.74
00:56:38.000How can I mostly get the most out of our education knowing that's coming?0.89
00:56:46.000So you're still in high school, right?
00:57:27.000And this state needs to rally to say three basic things no men and female sports, no chemical castration of our kids, and no more late term abortion.
00:57:38.000Those are three very basic things we could all agree on.
00:57:58.000I'm actually running for governor of New Mexico.
00:58:00.000You know, our Constitution, along with every Constitution in this country, has origins to remedy and recourse to give us the ability to hold our elected officials accountable.
00:58:17.000So, my question is how do we get back to the origins of our state Constitution in order to give we, the people, The remedy and recourse to hold our elected officials accountable for treason, evasion, violations of our rights, theft, fraud, RICO, etc.
01:00:00.000So this is a question from a Gen Zer in Clovis.
01:00:04.000He says Given the current state of the economy, rising housing costs, inflation, and wages, do you think we will ever realistically be able to afford a home or a lifestyle that our Parents and grandparents could achieve before us.
01:00:37.000And he said, Look, the next generation, it's better for them to rent than own.
01:00:43.000And look at all the space that you have in a home, and it's really There's a lot of vacant space you don't use.
01:00:49.000Like, when's the last time you went to the dinner table, the dining room, and you don't need all that space, and you can have a much more efficient rental unit.
01:00:58.000And everything he says is right, more efficient to rent.
01:01:02.000But something about me feels like it's against the American way to not have this is my piece of property, the government can't take it, a landlord can't evict me, and I will defend it with my guns if necessary.
01:02:19.000Some of these people are saying, well, When you have to own, you have property taxes and you have maintenance and you have all these other costs associated.
01:03:36.000Really, a core of our audience is young families.
01:03:39.000And it's harder than ever to get your share of the American dream.
01:03:43.000Harder than ever for you to be able to own the home.
01:03:45.000By the way, your real estate values here in the state are some of the lowest in the country, and it's still hard for you guys to get your share of the American dream.
01:04:10.000Which really wasn't a vaccine, it was an mRNA and gene altering shot.
01:04:14.000Nine times on you, we shouldn't have done that.
01:04:17.000And as a way that we are sorry, we're gonna make it so easy.0.99
01:04:20.000The same way that we had the VA home loan, we should have the Gen Z home loan.0.76
01:04:25.000In the way that as long as you're not committing crimes and you're ably employed and you're doing the right stuff, you're not just sitting around, we're gonna make it so that you can have an easy entrance into the owner's market.0.93
01:04:38.000We owe it to our young people to make it easier to own homes, not harder.
01:04:43.000Because I do not want to live in a dystopian future where an entire generation rents stuff.
01:06:37.000Okay, so I would say you don't compromise on the truth.
01:06:39.000This is going to be the hardest thing for you, man.0.99
01:06:41.000So, when you're sitting down at lunch with a homosexual or transgender person, your flesh, and it happens to all of us, will whisper, Oh, just tell them it's okay.1.00
01:06:50.000Now, you can be very careful in your language.0.73
01:06:52.000You can love them, but loving is not approval, right?
01:06:56.000And you could be like, hey, let me just tell you what I believe.
01:09:08.000Compassion, but that does not mean they could do it out in the open, and that does not mean we will ever give them a needle to allow them to continue their addiction.
01:10:00.000Yeah, I agree wholeheartedly that we, you know, until we take a stand and understand that we've got to go after the bad guys, and we need to be pro police as long as they're doing their job, and most of them do their job.
01:10:14.000And we need to be able to stand with them and say, hey, the criminals need to go to jail and leave our state.
01:10:20.000And I would just add to that, which is that I think President Donald Trump is doing the right thing as designating the Sinaloa drug cartel as a foreign terrorist organization.0.99
01:10:30.000That is absolutely the right thing.0.65
01:10:32.000Every single person in this audience that calls New Mexico home has lost a friend, a family member, or a neighbor to the malevolent actions of the Sinaloa drug cartel.
01:10:43.000This is not an attack on the Mexican people, many of whom are wonderful and religious and Christian.
01:10:49.000This is an attack on a foreign terrorist organization that is manufacturing fentanyl and drugs and sometimes trafficking people into our communities, and that cartel needs to be wiped off the face of the earth once and for all.
01:12:21.000My question for you is as a Hispanic man who voted conservative and is in a deep blue state, how should I go about turning my state red, especially, or turning our state red next year, especially with our media demonizing Republicans?
01:12:40.000I would focus on the issues they cannot defend.
01:12:42.000Men and female locker rooms, men and female sports, the trans stuff, and crime.1.00
01:12:47.000I would just constantly hit those all the time.1.00
01:12:50.000And look, even if you don't win, you have to keep on fighting for noble causes.
01:12:53.000Even if you don't win, you show up every single next election cycle and start local.
01:12:58.000Win back your city council, win back your school district.
01:13:01.000Local, local, local is how you take a big task like the state of New Mexico.
01:14:14.000I'm a senior studying business administration.
01:14:18.000With Stephen Colbert's show now canceled, what do you think that says about the state of late night TV today?
01:14:24.000And how does the kind of humor we see from shows like South Park compare to mainstream late night hosts in terms of what really connects with audiences?
01:14:34.000If you notice, and I don't watch late shows a lot, but there was a change the last decade where hosts like Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel, I'll put Jimmy Fallon in a different category, I actually think he tries to not be political, is that they were seeking applause more from their audience than laughs.
01:14:53.000And if a comedian wants to be applauded and not have laughs, then you're nothing different than an MSNBC host at 11 p.m. Eastern.
01:15:03.000And that was the fundamental difference, is that they stopped being funny and they started being liberal.
01:15:08.000And look, we as conservative as we can take jokes, as you could tell, I thought that was hilarious, the thing on South Park.
01:15:13.000Here is the key about comedy when it's closest to the truth, that's when it's the funniest.
01:15:20.000And one of the greatest, let's just say, Examples as to why comedy failed was how they never even lifted a finger to make fun of Joe Biden's mental decline.
01:15:33.000And if you want to just my honest take on this, you had the easiest material, like someone who was not a comedian, could come up and do a shtick for 10 minutes on Joe Biden's mental decline, and they wouldn't touch it.
01:15:45.000That showed that they were all partisan actors.
01:15:58.000You know, if I could add to that, When Gerald Ford, I know it's probably you weren't born yet, but when Gerald Ford, when he stumbled off that plane, they mocked him.
01:16:07.000They said there was something wrong with him.
01:16:09.000I mean, they just obliterated this guy.
01:16:51.000The only reason, oh, what about a safety thing?
01:16:53.000Then give them like a jitterbug phone or something.
01:16:56.000They do not need a smartphone, they don't need an iPhone, period.
01:16:59.000If they try to take your Bible away, sue them.
01:17:02.000And sue them hard, and we will call the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice and harm Meet Dillon.
01:17:08.000And the Trump administration will sue that school district because you need to be allowed to bring the religious text of your choosing, the Holy Bible, into the classroom.
01:17:17.000You know, I would tell her also to call us and we'll get her in.
01:17:23.000If anyone has a Bible ever taken away in a public school, let us know that is a civil rights violation, and the Department of Justice will come in.
01:17:48.000And my mission right now is to defend the Trump administration on the great stuff they're doing, get JD Vance elected as the next president of the United States in 2028.
01:18:01.000And if they ever run out of people, I don't even know if I would consider it.
01:20:31.000I'm able to turn my phone off for one day a week.
01:20:33.000It says in the scriptures, for six days you shall work, and on the seventh day you shall rest.
01:20:39.000And in the book of Deuteronomy, when it repeats that commandment, which is the fourth commandment, which is in the book of Deuteronomy, it's exactly the same.
01:20:52.000It's the only change when Moses is repeating, except it says, for six days you shall work, the seventh day you shall rest, because you are no longer slaves like you were in Egypt.
01:21:02.000Only slaves work seven days, everybody.
01:21:06.000I encourage all of you to dedicate one day to Jesus.
01:21:12.000You are not too important to stare at all your devices for seven days.
01:21:16.000If you're feeling that you want to pour into your girlfriend, watch what happens the magic power when both of you turn off your phones for one day.
01:22:40.000And you think, of course, but okay, so if it was true, if I could prove to you Christianity was true, would you really stop having premarital sex and all this?0.72
01:22:48.000People don't want to change the way they're living, so they end up lashing out at a religion that tells them to stop doing that.0.66
01:22:56.000And then there's also good faith objections, which is the problem of evil.
01:23:02.000Pastor Steve, how do you deal with the problem of evil when someone says, you know what, I can't be a Christian because my nephew is six years old and he died of cancer?
01:23:09.000This is the hardest question for Christians to answer.
01:23:19.000Or, like, hey, a natural disaster, a tsunami, an earthquake, or the flooding in Texas, like these poor little girls at summer camp, right?
01:23:25.000I mean, it all broke our heart to see that.
01:23:27.000I would say that we live in a fallen world, and the God of this world, when Adam and Eve sinned, they gave him the title deed to the world.
01:23:38.000And that's why we have these disasters.
01:24:08.000Instead of blaming a fallen world and the enemy of our soul, which is the devil, they lash out at God because they have this sense or this thought that God should have stopped this or God should have done something.
01:24:21.000And then I say, we don't have all the answers.
01:25:11.000So I'm not sure if you even know this, but Native Americans are not allowed to own private property on reservations.
01:25:18.000All native land is held in federal trust.
01:25:21.000Why do I never hear you speaking up for indigenous rights, Charlie?
01:25:25.000That's a little too accusatory, but I actually do speak up for the best of Native American culture.
01:25:32.000You know what the first thing needs to happen?
01:25:33.000The first thing that needs to happen is the obliteration of the Bureau of Indian Affairs and redo it in a way that actually represents the best interest of Native and Indigenous people.0.94
01:25:43.000There's a huge alcoholism problem on reservations.
01:25:46.000And look, here's the biggest problem I have: that the Native American reservation, natives were treated terribly 150, 100 years ago.
01:25:56.000We did the worst thing we could have done.1.00
01:25:58.000We gave them endless government benefits, and they've grown addicted to the government.
01:27:36.000And guys, you don't have to come like a 10 out of 10 as if I'm like, you know, I must have missed the Native American portion of our discussion, Steve.
01:27:50.000I was here when you were at UNM, and just thank you for coming back.
01:27:53.000My question is that earlier you said that humiliating someone was a sin, and I don't necessarily disagree, but I am curious as to how you define humiliation and what is the biblical basis for it being a sin.
01:28:59.000I think he seeks to lovingly correct them when necessary and when proper.
01:29:02.000So, anyway, I'd have to think more deeply about that.
01:29:04.000But when you're given the opportunity, like let's say Pastor Steve right now looks at someone in the audience and he knows that that person is cheating on their spouse.
01:29:14.000Is the loving thing for him to call them up on stage right now?
01:29:36.000Hey, Charlie, this is Liberty Natalie, East Campus representing mother of seven, wife, daughter of the king, homeschooled homeschooler.
01:29:48.000And my question for you today is since 2020, You've really encouraged a parallel economy, knowing where our dollars are going, that they're supporting businesses that support our ideals.
01:30:00.000Would you consider reviving or starting a public consumer service similar to secondvote.com, which was a pivotal website, started in 2012 after someone learned that March of Dimes was funding Planned Parenthood chapters?
01:30:15.000Unfortunately, this website was pivotal.
01:30:18.000It was shut down during the Biden administration in 2023.
01:33:02.000If you have somebody, if there's a woman right now in this audience and there is a bad guy that is coming and hunting you down, you're trying to tell me the bad guy's going to wait seven days so that you can get a gun to defend yourself?
01:33:54.000You might laugh, but do you know what immigration's custom enforcement could use for someone that knows how to take down sex trafficking and human trafficking rings?
