00:00:03.000 My name is Charlie Kirk.
00:00:05.000 I run the largest pro American student organization in the country fighting for the future of our republic.
00:00:11.000 My call is to fight evil and to proclaim truth.
00:00:14.000 If the most important thing for you is just feeling good, you're going to end up miserable.
00:00:19.000 But if the most important thing is doing good, you will end up purposeful.
00:00:24.000 College is a scam, everybody.
00:00:26.000 You've got to stop sending your kids to college.
00:00:27.000 You should get married as young as possible and have as many kids as possible.
00:00:31.000 Go start a Turning Point USA college chapter.
00:00:33.000 Go start a turning point USA high school chapter.
00:00:35.000 Go find out how your church can get involved.
00:00:37.000 Sign up and become an activist.
00:00:39.000 I gave my life to the Lord in fifth grade.
00:00:41.000 Most important decision I ever made in my life.
00:00:43.000 And I encourage you to do the same.
00:00:45.000 Here I am.
00:00:46.000 Lord, use me.
00:00:48.000 Buckle up, everybody.
00:00:49.000 Here we go.
00:00:56.000 Noble Gold Investments is the official gold sponsor of The Charlie Kirk Show, a company that specializes in gold IRAs and physical delivery of precious metals.
00:01:06.000 Learn how you could protect your wealth with Noble Gold Investments at Noble Gold Investments.com.
00:01:13.000 That is Noble Gold Investments.com.
00:01:18.000 So, there's going to be some hard truths today straight from the Bible, but I think everybody here would rather get the weaponry and the skills and the truth than just the nice prepackaged message.
00:01:33.000 And so, if you want to get that sort of message, there's plenty of other types of churches and people you can go to, but You're going to feel empowered and you're going to feel equipped.
00:01:43.000 And I know for me, if I ever have some news that is a little unsettling, I want the doctor to tell me straight.
00:01:49.000 I don't want all of a sudden to go to the doctor and have the doctor tell me, well, you know, here's the good news that you're still alive.
00:01:56.000 You know, I want to hear what's wrong and what we can do about it and what we've been given to do something about it.
00:02:01.000 And so I'm going to say something very, some people would consider this controversial, but I don't, which is the churches that refuse to recognize Satan.
00:02:12.000 And refuse to recognize the evil one and the one that is in rebellion to God, they are doing the work of Satan in the church.
00:02:19.000 We need to recognize that we are in this battle and this struggle.
00:02:23.000 So, Satan is a real thing, it's not imaginary.
00:02:26.000 We need to call Satan by name.
00:02:28.000 Now, Satan hates it when we call Satan by name.
00:02:31.000 Now, in the Bible, Satan is mentioned as a person and always he, not it, not some sort of amorphous figure, not some sort of idea, but that had being.
00:02:42.000 Now, that's a hard thing for some Christians to recognize and realize.
00:02:45.000 Because one pastor said to me, Charlie, you know, I don't talk about the spiritual war because that's a little dark.
00:02:51.000 It's a little bit scary.
00:02:53.000 It's a little bit intimidating.
00:02:55.000 I say, well, hold on.
00:02:56.000 It's absolutely scary.
00:02:57.000 I mean, what we're talking about here without the truth of Jesus Christ is overwhelmingly intimidating.
00:03:04.000 Without the truth of Jesus Christ, this is something that I would stay away from.
00:03:07.000 Without the truth of Jesus Christ, this is something that I would just say, we're not prepared to even talk about this.
00:03:12.000 You know, let's just focus on, you know, what?
00:03:15.000 Let's just, you know what?
00:03:16.000 Let's just do the yoga thing.
00:03:17.000 Let's just all just kind of, right?
00:03:20.000 That's what I would do without this, right?
00:03:22.000 Find my inner peace, whatever that sort of nonsense that happens.
00:03:25.000 Instead, we need to say what we're really up against here.
00:03:28.000 So, here are three truths about Satan.
00:03:31.000 And we're going to get into this.
00:03:33.000 Again, so few, I talk to Christians at times like, man, that makes me feel uncomfortable.
00:03:37.000 You got to confront it directly.
00:03:38.000 Okay, number one is that Satan is a liar, he is the master of deceit.
00:03:43.000 So, now I'm going to take a little bit of a tangent, but a good one.
00:03:47.000 And I want everyone to open up their Bibles right now John 8 44.
00:03:51.000 Now, I said that intentionally.
00:03:53.000 Open up your Bibles.
00:03:54.000 For those of you that are looking at your iPhone right now, I love you.
00:03:57.000 I love you.
00:03:58.000 I love you.
00:03:59.000 That's not a Bible.
00:03:59.000 Now, I'm going to take a side note here, total tangent.
00:04:03.000 And Juergen might disagree, but that's fine.
00:04:05.000 So, which is this I think we got to get back to physical Bibles in the church, okay?
00:04:11.000 And by the way, if you're reading from an iPhone, God bless you.
00:04:15.000 Just maybe you forgot your Bible at home, happens all the time.
00:04:17.000 It could be a helpful tool.
00:04:18.000 But I'm going to give you five reasons.
00:04:21.000 I didn't come here to talk about this, by the way.
00:04:22.000 But five reasons why we got to get physical Bibles back in the church.
00:04:26.000 Real reasons, okay?
00:04:27.000 Number one, Satan can't distract you at that moment.
00:04:30.000 Through what you are reading to get you away from reading the Word of God.
00:04:35.000 So if you're reading from your iPhone, maybe you have more of the fruit of the Spirit of self control than me.
00:04:40.000 But you might be getting that little Instagram direct message.
00:04:43.000 You might be getting a text message.
00:04:45.000 What a time for the evil one to take you outside of the Word of God, right?
00:04:49.000 You're basically saying, you know what?
00:04:51.000 Distract me.
00:04:52.000 You're basically saying, you know what?
00:04:54.000 Maybe I should go return that Snapchat.
00:04:55.000 And then all of a sudden you're taking the selfie like, what?
00:04:57.000 Was I reading John 1 or what was going on?
00:04:59.000 No, just you have it.
00:05:01.000 You have, by definition, this right here.
00:05:04.000 Is how it is.
00:05:05.000 It's unchanging.
00:05:06.000 It is non disruptible.
00:05:08.000 It is permanent.
00:05:09.000 Okay, so no distractions.
00:05:10.000 Number two, you develop a unique relationship with the weight and the feel and the touch of that thing.
00:05:18.000 There is nothing else in your life that will have that sort of mass and that touch.
00:05:22.000 Those of you that have really spent time with your Bibles, you know exactly what I'm talking about, right?
00:05:27.000 You know that when you pick it up, you could just close your eyes like, I know what this is, right?
00:05:31.000 Now, with your phone, it's not the case because it's more than one thing, right?
00:05:34.000 It's a communication device, it's a camera.
00:05:36.000 It's a GPS system.
00:05:38.000 So it's more than one thing.
00:05:39.000 Again, I'm all for watching sermons.
00:05:41.000 I'm all for listening to podcasts on those.
00:05:42.000 They could be super wonderful.
00:05:44.000 And maybe you need to just get a quick dose of scripture.
00:05:46.000 I'm talking about your go to.
00:05:48.000 I'm talking about every time when you get your chair time, and everyone should have at least 20 minutes a day of chair time and reading the Word of the Lord.
00:05:53.000 Are you flipping open your iPhone where it's also your texting, your Netflix watching, or is it something that has a special weight to it?
00:06:02.000 And then almost becomes a weapon, which is the Word of the Lord is a sword against the evil one that you could put on it.
00:06:08.000 Third thing.
00:06:09.000 Okay.
00:06:10.000 It's dedicated to just that, as I mentioned, which is it's totally and completely unique.
00:06:15.000 It is something that it does not, it does not there.
00:06:17.000 So it's, you have a relationship with the weight and the touch, and there is nothing else you will do with this Bible except connect to the Lord.
00:06:24.000 And that's so important.
00:06:25.000 The fourth thing, which I love, is that it grows as you grow.
00:06:29.000 You ever see those Bibles with those highlights and those notes, the tears that you cry over those pages?
00:06:34.000 That's beautiful.
00:06:35.000 All of a sudden, you see how much you've been transformed by the word with the word.
00:06:40.000 You don't get that with an iPhone.
00:06:41.000 You can maybe like highlight, you ever try to highlight something in the, In the Bible app, it's impossible, right?
00:06:46.000 Whoever made that should be totally fired, by the way.
00:06:48.000 You can't highlight anything in the Bible app, right?
00:06:50.000 Total waste of time.
00:06:51.000 You don't have to double click it and it's green and you're like, what is this?
00:06:54.000 And the font's not right.
00:06:56.000 Like, this has worked for a long time, everybody, okay?
00:06:59.000 And then finally, by the way, total side note, and again, I get these emails from people, Charlie, I can't believe you went after the digital Bible.
00:07:06.000 It's like, okay, fine.
00:07:08.000 The fifth, I just want you to be able to worship the Lord uninterrupted and find his truth.
00:07:14.000 This is it.
00:07:15.000 If this is how they were able to read the truth in 70 AD, it should be satisfactory for us in 2021.
00:07:22.000 There's something with picking up a manuscript and a text that is, I don't have to over explain it.
00:07:28.000 If that's how they did it back in Jesus' time, we should be able to do it today.
00:07:31.000 And I don't know about you.
00:07:33.000 I look forward and I relish the opportunity to be able to touch something that doesn't change.
00:07:38.000 Because if everything changes, nothing lasts.
00:07:41.000 Remember that.
00:07:42.000 If everything changes, nothing lasts.
00:07:44.000 Okay, those are five just totally out of.
00:07:46.000 Didn't come here to talk about that.
00:07:47.000 Reasons why we got to bring back physical Bibles in the church.
00:07:49.000 Okay, so here at Awakened Church, I hope you guys will lead that charge.
00:07:53.000 Okay, so let's read out of the Bible, John 8 44, which Jesus is talking to the Pharisees.
00:07:58.000 And he says, You are of your father the devil, talking to the Pharisees.
00:08:03.000 Father the devil.
00:08:05.000 Wow.
00:08:07.000 Because you are not able to listen to my word.
00:08:10.000 You see, Jesus is creating the dividing lines.
00:08:12.000 Christians don't like talking about this.
00:08:14.000 Christians don't like talking about how there are dividing lines light versus dark, good versus evil, convenience, corporate Christianity.
00:08:21.000 Likes to talk about this kind of John Lennon style of Christianity, right?
00:08:26.000 Which is like, there is no war, it's nothing but peace, we all work in harmony, and, you know, let's go do psychedelics or whatever it is, right?
00:08:33.000 Instead, it's like, no, these are dividing lines.
00:08:34.000 Like, you're of the devil, the Pharisees.
00:08:36.000 That's a big statement.
00:08:39.000 You are not, so he was a murderer from the beginning, the devil, murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in truth because there is no truth in him.
00:08:48.000 When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, meaning not of the Lord.
00:08:53.000 For he is a liar and the father of it, the father of all lies.
00:08:57.000 So, have you heard a lie in the last year?
00:08:59.000 I know that everyone's been telling the truth with the virus and masks, vaccines, no lies, right?
00:09:05.000 We are living in an era of truth.
00:09:07.000 So, none of this is applicable, obviously.
00:09:09.000 Do you start to see where all of this flows from, right?
00:09:13.000 Where we are going to the top of the tributary?
00:09:16.000 Where does all of this come from?
00:09:17.000 The abortions, the vaccines, to the masks, to the lockdowns, to the voter fraud, to the corruption, to the insider dealing, to the social media.
00:09:23.000 All of a sudden, we're getting to the real domain that this flows from.
00:09:29.000 Which of you convicts me of sin?
00:09:32.000 And if I tell you the truth, why do you not believe me?
00:09:34.000 He who is of God hears God's words.
00:09:36.000 Therefore, you do not hear because you are not of God.
00:09:40.000 John 8 44.
00:09:41.000 It's a beautiful discourse.
00:09:42.000 So let's go through.
00:09:43.000 So, Satan is a liar.
00:09:45.000 That's number one.
00:09:47.000 And when we talk about lies, we have to understand that Jesus was not true, just not say truth.
00:09:53.000 He was the embodiment of truth.
00:09:55.000 Everything about him was true.
00:09:57.000 Number two is that Satan is a thief.
00:10:00.000 Is that Satan has never built anything.
00:10:03.000 Let me say that again.
00:10:04.000 Satan does not build, he only destroys and he infiltrates, he deconstructs and he obliterates.
00:10:11.000 So anything that is meaningful, he tries to destroy.
00:10:14.000 He is not a creator, it's not in his nature.
00:10:16.000 In fact, Jesus says this in John 10 10.
00:10:18.000 He says, The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.
00:10:22.000 I have come that they might have life and to have it in full.
00:10:25.000 What Jesus is saying here is in John 10 10 is that Satan, by definition, tries to steal from you.
00:10:32.000 This is why Satan hates.
00:10:34.000 When we call them out by name.
00:10:35.000 I want to think about a criminal.
00:10:37.000 Do criminals like it when all of a sudden we say, you're stealing that bank?
00:10:40.000 No, the deeds of darkness are always done under the cover, under the shadow.
00:10:46.000 As soon as we expose the child sex traffickers, as soon as we expose the people that are running guns, we expose the people that are doing murders, they hate that.
00:10:54.000 They want anything but, that's why they run from the police.
00:10:57.000 That's why they try to hide from any sort of exposure.
00:11:00.000 Satan's the same way.
00:11:02.000 Satan hates it when he's called out by name.
00:11:04.000 He hates it when all of a sudden you say, you know what?
00:11:06.000 I see exactly what you're trying to do.
00:11:07.000 You're trying to infiltrate the church.
00:11:08.000 You're trying to turn people against each other.
00:11:10.000 Satan loves it when he's able to sow division between other people.
00:11:15.000 He loves it.
00:11:15.000 He hates harmony.
00:11:17.000 He enjoys discord.
00:11:18.000 He wants to turn people against each other.
00:11:20.000 Satan is a thief.
00:11:22.000 Number three is that Satan, and this is the best news, you say there's good news about Satan?
00:11:27.000 You better believe there's good news about Satan.
00:11:29.000 Satan is limited.
00:11:32.000 Satan is limited.
00:11:33.000 Let me say that again.
00:11:35.000 Satan is limited.
00:11:38.000 In Job 1 6, it says that Satan was roaming the earth.
00:11:42.000 Job was the first book of the Bible ever written.
00:11:44.000 That was actually written.
00:11:45.000 Not that occurred, but that was ever written.
00:11:48.000 Would you roam if you were everywhere?
00:11:50.000 Certain cities have Satan more present than others.
00:11:53.000 Certain counties do.
00:11:54.000 I talked about San Francisco in the service earlier.
00:11:57.000 When I go to San Francisco, I feel a spiritual heaviness the moment I walk into that town.
00:12:02.000 A town that glorifies disobedience and rebellion to the Lord.
00:12:06.000 Now, that doesn't mean that Satan can't come anywhere.
00:12:09.000 That doesn't mean because Satan, first and foremost, goes where he's invited, obviously.
00:12:13.000 Satan goes where the vectors and the highways have been created.
00:12:16.000 We're going to talk about what those highways are.
00:12:18.000 Now, I'm now going to get, I didn't do this in the first service, so this is unique.
00:12:22.000 I'm now going to all of a sudden show you right now 10 ways that Satan corrupts our language, 10 ways that Satan phrases that we hear, that we tolerate, of how Satan is able to come straight into our everyday conversations.
00:12:35.000 10 ways.
00:12:37.000 Number one, how often have you heard this?
00:12:39.000 What I do doesn't really matter.
00:12:42.000 What I do doesn't make any sort of impact.
00:12:44.000 It doesn't matter how I eat, it doesn't matter who I associate with.
00:12:48.000 This idea that your actions and your agency have no application to what you do.
00:12:53.000 Satan loves that.
00:12:54.000 In fact, this is a saying that's quoted a lot, but it's worth quoting again Satan's greatest trick is convincing you he does not exist.
00:13:02.000 He would love to have people believe that it's nothing more than a figment of your imagination.
00:13:07.000 Number two, how often do you hear this?
00:13:10.000 Who cares?
00:13:12.000 Who cares?
00:13:13.000 God cares.
00:13:15.000 Satan wants you to say, Who cares?
00:13:18.000 Whatever, who cares?
00:13:19.000 Who cares whether or not you save yourself for marriage?
00:13:22.000 Who cares?
00:13:23.000 It's not a big deal.
00:13:24.000 Well, all of a sudden, if you're asking who cares, you're basically saying there's no divine.
00:13:28.000 There's no one in charge.
00:13:29.000 Basically, through your language are two liners, right?
00:13:32.000 Who cares?
00:13:34.000 What a wonderful corruption or incredible corruption of language that Satan was able to do.
00:13:41.000 Hillsdale College, Great Books 101, Ancient to Medieval course, is an absolute game changer.
00:13:49.000 I'm taking it right now, and you got to check it out.
00:13:51.000 So, before Charlie ever stepped into a debate stage or behind a microphone, he understood something important.
00:13:56.000 If you want to lead, you have to first learn.
00:13:58.000 Charlie believed that ideas shape character and conviction and courage.
00:14:02.000 And that's why he spent so many years studying the classics, the American founding, and the Bible.
00:14:06.000 And he did a lot of that through Hillsdale College's free online courses.
00:14:10.000 These are real college courses taught by actual Hillsdale professors.
00:14:15.000 They're amazing, the best academics in the country.
00:14:18.000 One of those courses, like I just said, is Great Books 101 Ancient to Medieval, where you'll study foundational authors like Homer, Augustine, Dante, Chaucer, writers who shape Western civilization, and they still.
00:14:30.000 Speak to the deepest questions about our human nature and courage and family and government.
00:14:35.000 The course includes Homer's Iliad and Odyssey, the epic stories of Achilles and Odysseus that have influenced the West for thousands of years.
00:14:42.000 And this summer, Hillsdale College is releasing a brand new course dedicated entirely to Homer's Odyssey.
00:14:47.000 Great Books 101 is the perfect way to prepare before the full Odyssey course launches in July.
00:14:53.000 Charlie understood that learning isn't just about gaining knowledge, it's about forming the mind and character needed to face the challenges of life with wisdom and courage.
00:15:01.000 So you can enroll today.

00:15:12.000 Learn deeply, think clearly, lead boldly, carry it forward.
00:15:19.000 Number three, what difference does it make?
00:15:23.000 We heard that most famously with Hillary Clinton, who is testifying in front of Congress with the four dead Americans in Benghazi.
00:15:29.000 What difference does it make, that four people?
00:15:32.000 What's the big deal, honestly?
00:15:34.000 Human life being lost?
00:15:35.000 It's only a million abortions a year.
00:15:37.000 Do you all of a sudden see how moral relativism becomes more acceptable with the language?
00:15:42.000 Number four, we're all dead in the long run.
00:15:45.000 It's not like we live forever.
00:15:46.000 Well, we actually do live forever as Christians.
00:15:48.000 But how often do you hear, we're all dead in the long run?
00:15:52.000 Your actions don't really mean anything.
00:15:53.000 You're just a bunch of cells.
00:15:55.000 You know, it doesn't really apply for you today.
00:15:58.000 Number five, which is my favorite.
00:15:59.000 I'll spend a little bit of time here.
00:16:01.000 Well, you see, Charlie, it's my truth.
00:16:04.000 And I don't care about what you have to say.
00:16:07.000 This is my truth.
00:16:08.000 Now, I hear this all the time on college campuses.
00:16:12.000 And I always chuckle when these people come up and they say, Charlie, you don't know what it's like to be judged by the color of your skin.
00:16:21.000 As a white male, I was like, you just judged me by the color of my skin.
00:16:24.000 Like, literally, in that one statement, you just said, I don't know what it's like, which is therefore a judgment.
00:16:28.000 Anyway, the point is that this idea of my truth is everything the devil wants us to believe in.
00:16:36.000 The devil said, I will five times in Isaiah I will become the head of the earth, I will become the one I'm most high.
00:16:42.000 I will govern all territory.
00:16:44.000 I will, When you start to say, I have my truth, all of a sudden you say that everyone can have their own direction to be able to govern their life.
00:16:53.000 How often do we hear that?
00:16:54.000 Well, my truth is that I believe that there's no such thing as man versus woman.
00:16:59.000 That does not make it true, though.
00:17:01.000 Your own personal opinion is completely irrelevant to what is true in the world.
00:17:06.000 And we as Christians have tolerated this my truth nonsense for way too long.
00:17:11.000 Now, number six, this is a hard one for Christians.
00:17:14.000 I'm not going to spend this much time on it, but it's if I'm forgiven, then why don't I just sin?
00:17:21.000 A lot of young people say this to me.
00:17:23.000 They say, well, Charlie, I'm forgiven.
00:17:24.000 So, if I sin, I could just go kind of use my get out of jail free pass later and just like put it in.
00:17:29.000 That right there makes me question whether you really understand or realize your salvation.
00:17:35.000 This is not a get out of jail free card for you to be able to just kind of ravage the streets and prowl, and then all of a sudden when you need it, you're like, yeah, I need to kind of.
00:17:45.000 Can you make bail today?
00:17:46.000 Like, that's not how salvation works.
00:17:49.000 It's a transformation and a renewal.
00:17:51.000 Let me be very clear it's you do not do good things to get saved.
00:17:57.000 You do righteous things because you are saved.
00:18:00.000 Once you are born new, then you want to push goodness into the world.
00:18:04.000 But that's a devil line, isn't it?
00:18:07.000 Oh, just sin because you say you're saved.
00:18:09.000 Well, all of a sudden, it's questioning whether or not you have that salvation altogether.
00:18:12.000 Number seven, God doesn't care about me.
00:18:15.000 Man, how could he let all this suffering happen into the world?
00:18:18.000 How could he let all this terrible and tragedy occur?
00:18:21.000 God doesn't care about me.
00:18:23.000 What a way to all of a sudden start to shrink and to minimalize the world around us.
00:18:28.000 Number eight, which is a very important one, Satan.
00:18:32.000 Loves victims.
00:18:34.000 Loves it when you start feeling sorry for yourself.
00:18:37.000 He is the author and the master of your pity party.
00:18:41.000 The next time all of a sudden you're bitter, he's the one that designed that whole feeling in you.
00:18:45.000 The next time you're like, I'm a victim, I deserve something for how awful of a life I've had.
00:18:50.000 I deserve something because someone said something bad to me.
00:18:53.000 Or I'm a certain skin color, I deserve something because of that.
00:18:56.000 Satan is the designer behind all of that.
00:18:58.000 Instead, you're born new in Jesus Christ and you're a victor over your sin.
00:19:03.000 Not a perpetual focusing on this victimhood mentality that tears people against each other.
00:19:12.000 Number nine, we're going back to our real Bibles, right?
00:19:16.000 Satan is the chief author of invalidating the Bible, of deconstructionism.
00:19:23.000 The Bible's outdated, the Bible doesn't apply.
00:19:27.000 The Bible, like, this is written by old people.
00:19:29.000 They didn't have TikTok, okay?
00:19:31.000 You realize they didn't have TikTok?
00:19:33.000 You realize they didn't have the internet?
00:19:34.000 How dumb they must have been.
00:19:36.000 They didn't have vaccines?
00:19:38.000 Losers!
00:19:41.000 The truths of the Bible are as true today as they were when they were written.
00:19:46.000 And they are eternally true.
00:19:54.000 And let me reiterate this is that as soon as you start to tear apart the truths of the Bible, then all of a sudden you're going to start to fill those things with worldly things, not wordly things of the Word.
00:20:07.000 And so when you pour into the Word and you believe it's the Word of God, all of a sudden it becomes a guardian for you.
00:20:12.000 But what a great way to start deconstructing it.
00:20:14.000 Because, and we were just talking about this backstage.
00:20:17.000 Did you know in 1991, this is according to Pew Research?
00:20:20.000 71% of all American churches believe the word of the Lord, the Bible, was inerrant and perfect.
00:20:26.000 41% of all churches believe that today in America.
00:20:29.000 You want to know why we have the abortion, the vaccine, the school closure, all the stuff we've talked about?
00:20:35.000 Why are all our political issues coming?
00:20:37.000 The church won't do anything.
00:20:39.000 Bad politics comes from bad theology.
00:20:41.000 Bad politics comes from bad theology.
00:20:43.000 If all of a sudden you think this is nothing more than poor Richard's almanac, if you just think this is kind of a suggestion manual, like, oh, it's no different than.
00:20:51.000 The Odyssey.
00:20:52.000 Yeah, it's no different than some sort of allegorical ancient tradition of where we pass down ways to kind of suggestions to live your life.
00:21:01.000 This is Satan trying to debase the bride of Christ, trying to have you question and not have you have faith and follow what always has been true.
00:21:10.000 Number 10.
00:21:12.000 This is probably my favorite on the entire list.
00:21:14.000 I tell this to young people all the time, and they don't know how to deal with it, which is this nonsense of following your heart.
00:21:22.000 Who ever thought of this?
00:21:23.000 Garbage of follow your heart?
00:21:26.000 Why do we ever put up with this?
00:21:28.000 And by the way, I just have to, as a side note, some like of the Christian Pinterest community that post this like intersection of like Oprah Winfrey style, like Eastern meditative thought and like half of a Bible verse, like whoever thought this was a good idea?
00:21:43.000 Like follow your heart, Jesus once said, like that's not at all what he's saying.
00:21:48.000 You follow God's commands is what you do.
00:21:50.000 I mean, what kind of crazy nonsense is this?
00:21:55.000 Follow your heart?
00:21:56.000 And we put up with this so often.
00:21:56.000 Are you kidding me?
00:22:01.000 Well, that's what their heart tells them to do.
00:22:03.000 Okay, well, if we all followed our natural inclination, it's like saying, I have a natural inclination towards violence.
00:22:08.000 Yeah, you know, Charlie, he was a little violent.
00:22:10.000 He was following his heart because his heart tells him, you know.
00:22:13.000 Or what if the church all of a sudden said, oh, yeah, you know, Steve, he's a serial adulterer, but he's following his heart?
00:22:18.000 You have to understand, his heart is to live monogamously, you know, not monogamously, but, you know, in polyamorous relations.
00:22:25.000 Follow your heart?
00:22:25.000 Are you serious?
00:22:27.000 No, we must be obedient to God's commands.
00:22:29.000 We have to stop.
00:22:30.000 Tolerating this nonsense as it infiltrated the church.
00:22:33.000 So let me reiterate this with the devil.
00:22:36.000 He hates this book, and specifically the two books that he hates the most, Leanne and I were just talking about this, are Genesis and Revelation.
00:22:43.000 The beginning and the end.
00:22:45.000 Genesis describes his devices, and Revelation describes his doom.
00:22:49.000 And right there in Genesis 3, we see how the devil works.
00:22:52.000 We see exactly what he does turning people against each other, sowing doubt, trying to question God's commands, introducing this kind of rebellion against God.
00:23:01.000 Now, Who was Satan?
00:23:02.000 There's really no debate about this.
00:23:04.000 Some people infer a lot more about Satan than we really know.
00:23:07.000 And not necessarily all those inferences are outside of what the word of the Lord says.
00:23:11.000 I'm not going to get into all that.
00:23:12.000 Here's what we do know we know that he was an angel that rebelled from the Lord, and the earth is his kingdom.
00:23:18.000 I'm going to stop there.
00:23:19.000 That's what we know.
00:23:20.000 Other pastors go on further about some sort of long kind of idea of this discourse between Lucifer and God.
00:23:27.000 I'll let other people get into that.
00:23:27.000 That's debated.
00:23:29.000 Here's what we know that Jesus Christ.
00:23:32.000 Said that he was the prince of this world.
00:23:35.000 In fact, he was the God of this world.
00:23:37.000 So now let's go back into our Bibles, right?
00:23:40.000 And let's see where the Savior of the world actually confronted the devil himself.
00:23:45.000 And we all know this story, but let's really pick this apart and let's go deeper than just kind of like, oh, yeah, Jesus Christ resisted temptation.
00:23:51.000 Now, we have to remember that Jesus, the divine, became human, right?
00:23:56.000 So he had to go through the exact same things that we went through.
00:23:58.000 So, what's the context of this in Matthew 4?
00:24:01.000 Well, right before Matthew 4, it's kind of a crescendo part, it's his anointing.
00:24:06.000 And so, all of you guys at Awaken conference yesterday, it's amazing, right?
00:24:10.000 Some of you might have felt that that was your anointing.
00:24:13.000 Right?
00:24:13.000 And then all of a sudden you go back home, maybe at 11 o'clock, maybe this morning, all of a sudden these thoughts start to creep in.
00:24:19.000 Man, what I do doesn't really matter.
00:24:23.000 No one cares about me.
00:24:25.000 All of a sudden those 10 things start to seep in.
00:24:27.000 Were those Bible verses Juergen's saying actually true?
00:24:31.000 Was the Bible actually the Word of God?
00:24:32.000 Boom!
00:24:33.000 Right back in there.
00:24:34.000 So what Matthew 4 is telling us is Jesus was baptized in Matthew 3 and anointed, and then right after that temptation comes.
00:24:41.000 So this message right here is perfect timing, right?
00:24:44.000 You have the conference, you get built up, you get sent out in the world, and all of a sudden that's where the temptation's gonna start seep in.
00:24:50.000 Okay, Matthew 1.
00:24:51.000 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
00:24:56.000 After fasting for 40 days and 40 nights, he was hungry.
00:24:59.000 Okay, let me stop here.
00:25:00.000 So, first of all, with 40 days.
00:25:03.000 So, Noah endured the flood for 40 days, Moses fasted for 40 days, Elijah fasted for 40 days, Israelites wandered for 40 years.
00:25:10.000 This number 40 is repetitious about, you know, it's a season of Of trusting the Lord and seeing his deliverance.
00:25:18.000 Now, let me just say this.
00:25:19.000 Anyone who fasts for more than an afternoon, you have some sort of supernatural power I do not have, okay?
00:25:25.000 So if I miss a meal, an energy bar, I'm like, what is this?
00:25:30.000 Get out of here.
00:25:32.000 I mean, I meet these people that fast.
00:25:34.000 They're like, yeah, actually, I know a guy from Oklahoma who fasts like 30 days.
00:25:37.000 I'm like, I don't even understand.
00:25:39.000 It's a different stratosphere.
00:25:40.000 Maybe one day I'll get there.
00:25:41.000 I know you guys have people that fast here, and I know you do.
00:25:45.000 If again, Mikey knows this.
00:25:47.000 If I don't get like my energy bar right at the time I need it while I'm hosting my podcast or radio show, I'm like, what is going on here?
00:25:53.000 I go like full third world dictator, right?
00:25:56.000 Like mobilization of armed forces, go find the people, someone's not doing their job, scorched earth, right?
00:26:02.000 Roll in the tanks, full accountability culture, right?
00:26:05.000 It's like, what's going on?
00:26:06.000 And so 40 days and 40 nights, like I can't even just imagine.
00:26:11.000 Now it says here in the scriptures that he was hungry.
00:26:14.000 That's important because after, you guys know this, after three, four days of fasting, You actually set into a state where you no longer feel hunger, right?
00:26:22.000 But when you start feeling hunger again, you're literally starving to death, right?
00:26:25.000 So that's where Jesus was at.
00:26:26.000 He was at the point where, after it set in, where he was not feeling hunger anymore, he started being hungry again.
00:26:33.000 That's where he was literally starving to death.
00:26:35.000 What does that tell us?
00:26:36.000 The devil, Satan, the serpent's gonna attack you when you're most vulnerable, he's gonna attack you when you're at your weakest, right?
00:26:43.000 So for me, that's after red eye flights, right?
00:26:46.000 Whoever invented this whole thing, they should be put in prison, okay?
00:26:50.000 And I say that jokingly, okay?
00:26:52.000 But it's like a red eye flight for me is the worst thing.
00:26:54.000 Maybe you can sympathize.
00:26:55.000 Some people like it.
00:26:56.000 Sure.
00:26:57.000 It's like you're two hours asleep, nothing but masks on you, people breathing.
00:27:02.000 And then you got to land and you got to be ready to go, right?
00:27:02.000 It's like awful.
00:27:05.000 Not for me.
00:27:06.000 And so that's when all of a sudden Satan comes in and all these questions.
00:27:09.000 What you're about to do today doesn't really matter, right?
00:27:11.000 All of a sudden it wears you down when you're at your most vulnerable.
00:27:14.000 And all of you guys know that moment.
00:27:15.000 And it might not be a physical vulnerability, by the way, it might be that you slept in for 14 hours and you're just in the best shape of your life.
00:27:22.000 But it might be that you are just tired of being around the people you're around.
00:27:25.000 It could be other types of vulnerability and other types of weaknesses.
00:27:31.000 If you could go back in time and buy oil before the world relied on it, would you?
00:27:35.000 Of course you would.
00:27:36.000 Anybody would.
00:27:37.000 So, why aren't you buying silver right now?
00:27:39.000 The people who recognized oil early didn't just make money, they got ahead of one of the biggest economic shifts in history.
00:27:46.000 And today, a similar opportunity is unfolding with silver.
00:27:49.000 Silver is more than a precious metal, it's a critical resource used in solar panels, electric vehicles, defense systems, AI infrastructure, and the massive data centers powering that digital world.
00:27:59.000 While demand keeps growing, it's still affordable enough that the average American can start accumulating it right now.
00:28:06.000 That's why investors are turning to silver to protect against inflation.
00:28:10.000 And to own one of the world's most important strategic resources.
00:28:13.000 Don't be the person who looks back in ten years and says, I saw it coming, I just didn't act.
00:28:17.000 Visit Noble Gold Investments.comslash Kirk and learn how easy it is to own physical silver.
00:28:23.000 That's Noble Gold Investments.comslash Kirk.
00:28:26.000 Own the metal the future depends on.
00:28:31.000 The scriptures continue by saying, The tempter came to him and said, If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread, mocking him.
00:28:39.000 The devil is a mocker now.
00:28:41.000 The devil was missing one of his greatest tricks against Jesus.
00:28:44.000 One of his greatest tricks he was not able to use against Jesus, which is hold one's sin against them.
00:28:51.000 Devil wasn't able to do that.
00:28:52.000 It's one of the devil's greatest tricks, right?
00:28:55.000 The devil will always stay in your ear about ways you've fallen short.
00:28:58.000 All of us have friends that like this, right?
00:29:00.000 You screwed up in fourth grade and you spilled orange juice over your classmate and you still see this person.
00:29:05.000 You're like, I remember in fourth grade when you spilled orange juice, loser, right?
00:29:10.000 You all know that person.
00:29:12.000 And they're constantly holding your faults and your missteps against you.
00:29:15.000 The devil didn't have his best trick because Jesus never did anything wrong.
00:29:18.000 He lived the perfect life.
00:29:19.000 So instead, he resorted to his second best trick, which is mocking and then temptation of ruling.
00:29:25.000 So, come on, you say you're the son of God, turn these stones to bread.
00:29:28.000 He was trying to agitate him.
00:29:29.000 Like you're trying to say you're such a tough guy.
00:29:31.000 Come on, punch me right here in the face.
00:29:33.000 Trying to provoke Jesus to try to get him and tempt him to engage on the devil's terms.
00:29:38.000 You see, but Jesus refused to even engage on Satan's terms at all whatsoever.
00:29:43.000 Then the devil took him to the holy city, Jerusalem.
00:29:46.000 And he had him stand at the highest point of the temple.
00:29:48.000 And he says, Come on, if you're the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written.
00:29:53.000 And this is where it gets interesting.
00:29:55.000 Satan is quoting scripture.
00:29:58.000 I want you to think about that.
00:29:59.000 He is quoting this perfect book.
00:30:02.000 He's trying to use scripture against it.
00:30:03.000 Come on, you say you're so powerful.
00:30:05.000 I know your book too.
00:30:07.000 And that's why you have to be alert and filled with the Holy Spirit.
00:30:09.000 Where all of a sudden, you might have false prophets.
00:30:12.000 You might have people that are up that are trying to all of a sudden use things that you've memorized, committed to memory, to try to pursue worldly things.
00:30:19.000 Where all of a sudden people say, You know what?
00:30:20.000 Jesus is all about love, then why wouldn't you say that pedophilia is okay?
00:30:25.000 Now, that might sound extreme.
00:30:26.000 That argument is coming soon.
00:30:27.000 I guarantee it.
00:30:28.000 In fact, it's coming here to California.
00:30:30.000 That's exactly what's happening here Satan was trying to use Jesus' own literacy with the scriptures against him.
00:30:36.000 He will command his angels concerning you, so they will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
00:30:41.000 Jesus answered him, It is also written, Do not put the Lord your God to the test.
00:30:45.000 Jesus is laying it down, like, You don't want this fight.
00:30:48.000 We are going to crush you, is what Jesus is saying.
00:30:50.000 Like, Don't put me to the test.
00:30:52.000 You're not going to like this.
00:30:53.000 I'm going to win and you're going to lose.
00:30:55.000 But the devil, like every single person that has the spirit of the devil on earth, they never know when to stop.
00:31:02.000 They never know when to.
00:31:04.000 They do not have the fruit of the spirit of self control, constantly pushing, constantly trying to conquer, trying to do more than they actually can do.
00:31:10.000 Jesus answered him, Do not put your Lord to that test.
00:31:13.000 Again, the devil took him to another mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.
00:31:18.000 And this I will give to you if you will bow down and worship me.
00:31:21.000 Now, Jesus rebukes him in the next verse, but do you notice what's not here?
00:31:25.000 In Matthew 4, 1 through 11, Jesus never questions what Satan says.
00:31:31.000 He never says what Satan is saying is untrue.
00:31:33.000 He's like, you know what?
00:31:34.000 You do run this earth.
00:31:36.000 This is your kingdom.
00:31:37.000 Jesus never says, No, no, no, no.
00:31:39.000 This is mine, not yours.
00:31:41.000 Jesus basically is like, You know what?
00:31:44.000 This is your enemy occupied territory.
00:31:47.000 And so Jesus, in human form, was going through the same sort of temptation that we go through every single day.
00:31:52.000 So, you know what Satan was doing?
00:31:53.000 World of all their splendor.
00:31:54.000 Come on up here.
00:31:55.000 I'll go make you famous.
00:31:57.000 I'll put you in a Netflix series.
00:32:00.000 I'll make you a billionaire.
00:32:02.000 You'll get a private jet and a yacht.
00:32:04.000 People will love you.
00:32:05.000 You'll get five million Instagram followers.
00:32:08.000 You have songs written about you.
00:32:10.000 How about statues as well?
00:32:12.000 You can go to space.
00:32:13.000 What is it with these billionaires' weird pathological focus of going?
00:32:17.000 It's really creepy, honestly.
00:32:18.000 I think I know what it is.
00:32:19.000 It's because they do not believe in the divine, so they themselves want to become divine.
00:32:23.000 So the only thing they have not yet controlled and conquered is the heavens, and they're never going to control the heavens or the cosmos.
00:32:29.000 I mean, today they launched off.
00:32:30.000 I'm sure he's a good guy or whatever, but there's this weird push to always trying to conquer things that have not yet been conquered.
00:32:37.000 No, they do not understand limitations.
00:32:40.000 On human beings.
00:32:41.000 And Jesus said to him, and every single person can commit this to memory.
00:32:45.000 Then we're going to get into the application of all these texts.
00:32:47.000 Away from me, Satan.
00:32:50.000 Away from me, Satan.
00:32:51.000 For it is written, worship the Lord your God and serve him only.
00:32:53.000 And then the mic dropped.
00:32:55.000 I think some people here today are waiting for this because I'm sure you feel the spiritual heaviness.
00:33:00.000 You feel this in our country, right?
00:33:02.000 And you're like, man, just get out of my head.
00:33:04.000 Get out of my head.
00:33:05.000 Then the devil left him.
00:33:07.000 Let me say that again.
00:33:08.000 Then the devil left him.
00:33:10.000 You know why?
00:33:11.000 Because he's limited.
00:33:12.000 Because the devil was worn out, and the devil's like, fine, I'm going to go to Persia.
00:33:16.000 See you later.
00:33:17.000 Whatever.
00:33:18.000 I'm going to go find some weird corrupt king in Thailand that I can go whisper in the ear of.
00:33:22.000 The Aztecs, they do child sacrifice.
00:33:24.000 Whatever.
00:33:24.000 I'm going over there.
00:33:26.000 This guy, Christ, can't get in his head.
00:33:28.000 The angels come and tend to him.
00:33:29.000 The point is that there are limitations to his power.
00:33:32.000 So if you're going through a moment right now where you feel like Satan is harassing you, it will not last forever.
00:33:37.000 Let me say it again.
00:33:38.000 It will not last forever.
00:33:40.000 It will not last forever.
00:33:40.000 Let me say it again.
00:33:47.000 So, now let's talk about how Satan actually gets penetration in your mind.
00:33:52.000 Because that's where this is happening, right?
00:33:54.000 Now, the scriptures promise us a sound mind.
00:33:58.000 But we have to understand that sometimes we make the entry points, we make the ability for Satan to take, we do his work for him.
00:34:05.000 In fact, we build the on ramps for him sometimes.
00:34:08.000 We're basically like, you know what?
00:34:10.000 Let me construct a special exit where you can just come straight into my consciousness.
00:34:14.000 And sometimes we do this without realizing it.
00:34:17.000 And so, first, we must realize what the scriptures tell us about how Satan acts.
00:34:22.000 Be alert and of sober mind.
00:34:23.000 Alert.
00:34:25.000 I feel as if this church is an alert church.
00:34:27.000 You're aware of what's happening in your school boards.
00:34:29.000 You're aware of what's happening with all the things around you.
00:34:32.000 An alert church is a church that is contesting for the kingdom.
00:34:35.000 Now, alert and of sober mind.
00:34:38.000 The sober mind is a different message for a different time.
00:34:41.000 But your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
00:34:49.000 Resist him, standing firm in faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
00:34:57.000 Don't feel sorry for yourself if Satan's harassing you.
00:34:59.000 If your fellow believers don't always talk about it, they also are harassed at some point.
00:35:04.000 They're also hearing those negative thoughts, those 10 things that are happening, and they're constantly under attack.
00:35:10.000 So, how does Satan get penetration into your mind?
00:35:12.000 There are three ways.
00:35:13.000 This is what the Bible tells us.
00:35:15.000 Both in James and in Matthew, it was written by James and said by Jesus, was this idea that I never thought about very much.
00:35:23.000 And then a really, really wise pastor walked me through the significance of how we create.
00:35:29.000 These vectors for Satan to come into our own life, which is number one, is by vows.
00:35:34.000 That's what Satan did.
00:35:36.000 I will, Five times.
00:35:39.000 Now, vows, earthly vows, they're of the world.
00:35:43.000 But we do this all the time.
00:35:44.000 I'm never going to take a drink again.
00:35:46.000 I'm not going to visit this website.
00:35:48.000 I'm stronger than this.
00:35:50.000 I'm going to stop gossiping.
00:35:51.000 How many times do we fall short?
00:35:52.000 All the time.
00:35:53.000 Do you know why?
00:35:54.000 As soon as we write that vow, and Jesus said, let your yes be yes and your no be no, and then the rest come through Jesus Christ.
00:36:01.000 Why is that?
00:36:02.000 As soon as you say that, Satan's like, ah, now I got a reference point to harass you with.
00:36:06.000 You think you're so strong?
00:36:08.000 You think you can endure it?
00:36:09.000 I'm going to taunt you with this.
00:36:10.000 You see, you wrote right here that you're not going to go to this website.
00:36:14.000 You wrote right here that you're not going to go into credit card debt.
00:36:16.000 You wrote right here that you're like, I'm going to harass you with it.
00:36:19.000 Most times we fail because the way we're actually instructed to do it is the exact opposite.
00:36:24.000 It's not that I will, It's Jesus did.
00:36:28.000 Jesus is.
00:36:29.000 And he is the chairman of the board of my life and he will protect you at that moment.
00:36:33.000 It's totally different.
00:36:35.000 Let me be clear.
00:36:37.000 Every person in this room will lose on your own against Satan.
00:36:40.000 Every single person, myself included.
00:36:43.000 I'm not telling you you have to fight this war.
00:36:45.000 We're in the midst of this war, and some of us are trying to fight it for ourselves, right?
00:36:48.000 And sometimes we go to earthly means to do this, right?
00:36:51.000 We go to yoga class, we try like all these different substances.
00:36:54.000 All I'm saying is you keep on going into the earth to try to defeat the king of the earth, which is Satan, you're going to lose.
00:37:01.000 So instead, you just got to step out of the way and you just got to worship and say, Jesus, can you just take care of this, please?
00:37:06.000 Can you just come in here and slay this for me and take care of this for me and win this battle for me?
00:37:12.000 That's what you got to do.
00:37:14.000 And he will never, ever forsake you or abandon you.
00:37:18.000 Now, so vows are the first way.
00:37:19.000 And that's not to say that you shouldn't identify your sin.
00:37:23.000 That's not to say you shouldn't identify where you're falling.
00:37:25.000 But if you, one Christian said to me once, he said, You know, I am a master of self control.
00:37:31.000 And one thing I don't think the Bible talks about enough is my ability to conquer my own, you know, my own devices.
00:37:37.000 I say, Self control, that's interesting.
00:37:39.000 Where do you think you get self control from?
00:37:41.000 And I say, I also want to tell you about humility.
00:37:44.000 Like, that would be another one.
00:37:46.000 He's like, oh, yeah, this guy's a riot.
00:37:46.000 It's so funny.
00:37:51.000 The Lord transforms all people.
00:37:52.000 This person would definitely be evidence of that.
00:37:54.000 And so he'd always be like, yes, you know, I'm so handsome, creative, generous, successful, benevolent, and forward thinking.
00:38:00.000 He never ever talks about how humble I am.
00:38:02.000 You know, I'm like, okay, great.
00:38:03.000 The point is that where do you think you get self control from?
00:38:06.000 It's a fruit of the Spirit.
00:38:08.000 We don't talk about that one as much, right?
00:38:09.000 Patience, I need that one.
00:38:10.000 Oh, my goodness, with what I have to do, geez.
00:38:14.000 Goodness, kindness, graciousness, but then self control.
00:38:16.000 That's not of your own devices.
00:38:19.000 That is a gift from the Lord.
00:38:21.000 That is the Spirit filling you.
00:38:23.000 And so, vows is number one.
00:38:24.000 Number two is your environment.
00:38:26.000 Satan gets an on ramp based on who you surround yourself with, the music you listen to, and what your environment is.
00:38:33.000 And Jesus proved it.
00:38:35.000 Jesus said, if it caused you to sin, cut off your arm, get rid of it.
00:38:39.000 Make your environment reflective of the type of worship you want to engage in.
00:38:43.000 Now, psychology tells us this, and you should all do this tonight.
00:38:47.000 Write down the five people you spend the most time with, because that's who you are.
00:38:51.000 You become the moving average of the five people you spend the most time with.
00:38:56.000 Do you notice you start saying one liners, kind of the five people you start spending time with?
00:39:00.000 Do you notice you kind of start like dressing?
00:39:02.000 Yeah, I kind of see that around here at this church, so.
00:39:06.000 You guys dress great.
00:39:06.000 That's fine.
00:39:07.000 I'm not as cool as them, right?
00:39:09.000 So I just kind of threw this together.
00:39:11.000 I figured if I.
00:39:14.000 I figured that if I did the, you know, when I speak at Baptist churches, it's a three piece suit, right?
00:39:19.000 Full tie.
00:39:20.000 Right?
00:39:21.000 By the way, you know the idea of worship is like, that's like feeling the Holy Spirit.
00:39:32.000 I'm kidding, I love them.
00:39:33.000 And so I speak at all sorts of different types of churches.
00:39:33.000 It's great.
00:39:35.000 It's actually nice because I'm able to move around.
00:39:37.000 But if I ever left the box of this, it might have screwed up all the energy, right?
00:39:43.000 But you become who you spend the most amount of time with, right?
00:39:47.000 And so you ask yourself am I spending people, am I around gossipers?
00:39:51.000 Gossip is terrible.
00:39:52.000 I can't stand it.
00:39:53.000 Am I around people that are constantly trying to bring down others?
00:39:55.000 Am I around people that are always telling half truths, late to meetings, kind of sending text messages that are always on the end?
00:40:02.000 Am I around people that are kind of talking about superficial material stuff?
00:40:06.000 Am I around people that are kind of putting points on the board of how rich they are, how fast their cars are, how many vacations they take, or talking about deeper and more meaningful things?
00:40:15.000 Am I around people that are filled with scorn and bitterness and revenge and anger around people that are filled with peace and love?
00:40:21.000 Your environment is one of the ways that Satan finds an on ramp, including your music too.
00:40:26.000 For me, in the work that I do, I've cut out almost all secular music.
00:40:30.000 And by the way, I'm not saying that if you listen to secular music, you're a bad person.
00:40:33.000 But for me, music is one of the ways that I really am able to kind of get incantations of truth.
00:40:38.000 I'm like, you know what?
00:40:39.000 I just need to listen to praise music and scripture music.
00:40:41.000 Too much going on.
00:40:43.000 I'm not going to be able to handle all this other stuff.
00:40:44.000 And for young people in particular, that's important.
00:40:46.000 Same thing for, and we all know this there's a television show, a movie, a comedian, a YouTube series that all of us could identify right now that is an on ramp for Satan.
00:40:57.000 All of us.
00:40:57.000 We could all pick one, right?
00:40:59.000 One of those things where all of a sudden you're like, yeah, you know, that puts me in kind of a little bit of a state of disobedience to the Lord.
00:41:05.000 And that's not to say you can't have any fun.
00:41:07.000 That's not to say that you have to always just kind of shield yourself at all times from everything always out there.
00:41:11.000 But just ask God for wisdom and I'll give it to you generously in James 1 5.
00:41:15.000 But you know exactly those types of things that you have to remove from your life for those on ramps for Satan.
00:41:23.000 If you're struggling with cravings, bloating, and stubborn weight gain, your gut health.
00:41:28.000 It's probably playing a bigger role than you think.
00:41:30.000 A damaged microbiome can affect everything from inflammation and digestion to cravings and weight gain.
00:41:36.000 And with today's processed foods and environmental toxins, a lot of people's digestive health is taking a big major hit, which is why taking care of your gut health may be more important now than ever before.
00:41:48.000 That's where a fermented food called kimchi can make a real difference.
00:41:52.000 Kimchi is naturally rich in over 900 probiotic strains that help support gut bacteria.
00:41:58.000 Because when your gut bacteria are properly supported, your body is better able to process food efficiently, regulate cravings, and support digestion, even maintain a healthier metabolism overall.
00:42:09.000 Studies show that eating kimchi can reduce your body fat by 31.8%.
00:42:15.000 But supporting your gut microbiome takes consistency, and most people aren't eating kimchi every day because of the taste, the smell, the hassle that comes with getting it.
00:42:23.000 That's why Brightcore created Kimchi One, delivering the benefits of fermented kimchi in a convenient capsule form to help restore your gut's natural balance every day.
00:42:33.000 Because when your body is functioning properly from the inside out, everything else becomes easier.

00:43:21.000 The third thing, and this is an important one, which I think that this church does a good job of, but the general American corporate Christianity does not do a good enough job of because they're afraid people are just going to walk out of.
00:43:31.000 Which is, Satan loves to seize an unrepented sin, especially sexual sin and sin of the flesh, which is sins of the flesh, where Satan is the master.
00:43:43.000 Where it be sins of things you can touch and you can feel.
00:43:48.000 And remember, Satan loves to hold that against you.
00:43:51.000 The serpent in the grass loves to say, like, man, your failure time and time again shows that you might as well just give it up and just get drunk every single night.
00:44:02.000 He wants to bring you down by how awful and terrible that you believe you are.
00:44:07.000 But you know what's amazing?
00:44:08.000 Is that once Jesus Christ forgives your sins at that moment, he will never mention that sin to you again.
00:44:14.000 He will never hold that against you.
00:44:16.000 He will never say that you are anything but a son of his and that you are born into eternity.
00:44:23.000 It is wiped clean.
00:44:25.000 And so the devil isn't like that.
00:44:28.000 The devil will hold that fourth grade blunder of spilling orange juice on your friend against you.
00:44:33.000 That becomes your identity.
00:44:35.000 And you'll never get past that.
00:44:37.000 And he uses it as a means of control, as a way to keep you in a perpetual open air prison sentence.
00:44:44.000 And so, in 1,000 times in the Old Testament, is repentance.
00:44:49.000 Thousand times.
00:44:50.000 I think that the church has to get more serious about repentance.
00:44:54.000 I think that we have to get more serious about repenting our own sin and things we've done wrong.
00:44:58.000 It doesn't have to be done publicly, but repentance is some of the most, it's so freeing and it's liberating and it closes off the on ramps.
00:45:07.000 Because remember, Satan is the master of lies.
00:45:10.000 Are you lying to yourself about a sin that you're committing?
00:45:13.000 Are you lying to yourself about a pattern that you're in that you know deep down is not good for you, but then all of a sudden you kind of do the Justification thing.
00:45:21.000 Yeah, I mean, it's fine that I get drunk every single night.
00:45:24.000 I provide for the family and, like, it's whatever.
00:45:26.000 Right?
00:45:26.000 It's not a big deal.
00:45:27.000 It's okay that I swear all the time or I gossip because I'm a good person.
00:45:31.000 Are you kind of in that moral justification range?
00:45:32.000 You're like, God, man, I need your mercy and your grace.
00:45:36.000 I'm not even close to where I need to be right now.
00:45:38.000 Satan doesn't like that.
00:45:39.000 As soon as you repent, you are building a wall that makes it harder for Satan to take seize of your mind and to capture where you are.
00:45:50.000 So now let's talk about, in closing, I'm going to go a little over time, just a little bit, not a lot.
00:45:55.000 How do we counter it?
00:45:56.000 What can we do?
00:45:57.000 So, those are three ways Satan takes hold of our mind in this spiritual war.
00:46:01.000 And what else can we do to actually be able to achieve a peace of mind and a sound mind?
00:46:09.000 And I want to just reiterate our goal.
00:46:11.000 Then the devil left him.
00:46:12.000 How many of you right now would love to have that happen for you right now?
00:46:15.000 I'm sure there are seasons, right?
00:46:18.000 There are seasons where we feel more at peace than others.
00:46:22.000 There are seasons, because that Satan is not constant, right?
00:46:24.000 But God is constant.
00:46:26.000 So, a couple things of how we can counter it, which is number one is prayer.
00:46:31.000 This church is a great prayer church.
00:46:33.000 In fact, I want to compliment you and encourage you.
00:46:36.000 You are a phenomenal prayer church, and you need to do more of it and continue to do what you're doing.
00:46:40.000 Because, again, if we do not get in this position of vulnerable prayer, of letting the Lord just capture who you are and your spirit, then we're always going to be bonded to the earth.
00:46:52.000 Now, my favorite prayer in the entire Bible is three words.
00:46:57.000 It was said by one of the women that Jesus healed, and it was very simple Lord, help me.
00:47:02.000 Lord, help me.
00:47:03.000 That's it.
00:47:04.000 Now, let me be very clear.
00:47:06.000 Your prayers must be sincere.
00:47:08.000 They do not have to be sophisticated.
00:47:11.000 You do not have to write a doctoral thesis submitted to Stanford with citations and footnotes of all the different biblical citations.
00:47:21.000 It has to be just, Lord, help me.
00:47:23.000 Lord, help me.
00:47:24.000 And that sort of sincere, broken down prayer is exactly one of the ways that we counter this onslaught of spiritual warfare.
00:47:33.000 Number two is dig into the word and know it is the word of God.
00:47:36.000 And this right here.
00:47:38.000 Is a USB drive waiting to be inputted and downloaded into your operating system to protect you from the ransomware and malware attacks against the enemy.
00:47:50.000 It's waiting for you.
00:47:52.000 It says, please download it.
00:47:54.000 Please.
00:47:55.000 It's waiting for you just to download it.
00:47:57.000 Because as soon as you do, you start memorizing scripture, you're filled with the word, all of a sudden you're like, oh, I know what's happening here.
00:48:03.000 You start to understand the terrain of which this battle is being fought on.
00:48:07.000 Then, number three, which is very, very important, which is James 4 7, submit yourselves then to God and resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
00:48:16.000 Not that he will walk away, not that he'll just kind of like, okay, what a flee.
00:48:20.000 Whoa, when you flee, you're in danger.
00:48:22.000 That means submission to the Lord, obedience to his commands.
00:48:25.000 He flees and he runs.
00:48:26.000 Adios, Satan.
00:48:28.000 Have a nice day.
00:48:29.000 Like, get out.
00:48:30.000 Now, understand, you are not, again, you are not going to be able to do this, but submission and obedience to the Lord, follow his commands.
00:48:37.000 You are going to fall short.
00:48:38.000 But here's my one challenge to you in the next day or two days, Can you try your best, and you're gonna fail at this, we all will, to try to make your sins accidental sins?
00:48:49.000 To try to make your sins missteps, not deliberate, pre planned, and purchased sins.
00:48:54.000 What do I mean by that?
00:48:55.000 Like, for example, if you all of a sudden have your buddies together and you're like, hey, we're gonna go on a trip, we're gonna visit a strip club, we're gonna get really drunk, and you plan it out, that is pre planned.
00:49:05.000 That is just like, but all of a sudden, if you're doing something and you have a thought and you missed up, those are accidental, those are understandable.
00:49:11.000 The point is, don't build those on ramps.
00:49:13.000 Try your best.
00:49:14.000 To be obedient to the Lord in every single capacity.
00:49:17.000 And then the last thing is this, which is the best news of all.
00:49:20.000 And then I'm gonna talk about an earthly example of what we need to do right here in this moment, which is despite what the devil might be telling you, despite what those thoughts might be weighing down on you, we are promised victory.
00:49:33.000 This is why Satan hates the book of Revelation.
00:49:36.000 He will be thrown into the lake of fire and he will burn forever.
00:49:40.000 That's his destiny.
00:49:41.000 The harasser, the tormentor, the liar, the serpent, the mocker, He will be thrown into the lake of fire.
00:49:48.000 That battle is over and it is done.
00:49:50.000 We are simply just temporary physical manifestations of that spiritual war.
00:49:57.000 Hi, folks.

00:50:52.000 Your friend Andrew sent you.
00:50:56.000 The scriptures say very clearly that, but the Lord is faithful and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
00:51:03.000 It says in John 16 33, I have told you these things that you may have peace.
00:51:09.000 But then all of a sudden, there's a part of the scriptures that we don't talk about.
00:51:12.000 In this world, you will have trouble.
00:51:18.000 Jesus is saying, You're going to have trouble.
00:51:20.000 If you think it's unique that you're being harassed right now by the evil one, it's not unique.
00:51:24.000 He said, You're going to have trouble.
00:51:25.000 But then Jesus says, But take heart, I've overcome the world.
00:51:29.000 Take heart.
00:51:30.000 I've overcome the current governor, mayor, President of this earth that's called Satan.
00:51:36.000 I've overcome all of that.
00:51:39.000 And now I'm going to close on what we have to do right now.
00:51:42.000 Because we not just have to pray and repent and read, but we have to be aggressive and offensive to launch a counter offensive against what Satan has done here.
00:51:52.000 And some people here today might say, Charlie, this message doesn't really apply to me.
00:51:56.000 Charlie, I don't quite get it.
00:51:57.000 And you know what?
00:51:58.000 Maybe it's because you've already been doing all these things and you've been walking in obedience.
00:52:02.000 Or maybe you're not taking enough terrain and Satan doesn't deem you a threat.
00:52:06.000 Not every person is harassed equally.
00:52:09.000 Not every person is harassed equally because he's got limited resources.
00:52:12.000 And the people that are harassed the most are the ones that are taking the most ground.
00:52:16.000 If you're not harassed, maybe you've mastered all this and I got a lot to learn from you.
00:52:20.000 Or maybe this is a reason for you to get more in the fight and go take more terrain from the enemy.
00:52:31.000 So let me close with this.
00:52:33.000 Only two minutes over time.
00:52:35.000 Let me close with this.
00:52:36.000 The type of counteroffensive that we need to launch.
00:52:39.000 Can best be metaphorically depicted in World War II at a certain moment.
00:52:45.000 World War II, I believe, was one of our nation's greatest moments, where we sent hundreds of thousands of our own citizens to never fight on our own land or our own soil, but for the betterment and for the good of the world and for other nations.
00:53:00.000 Outside of Pearl Harbor, no part of World War II was fought on our own shores, and that was preempted against us.
00:53:06.000 And so, after D Day, Allied forces of the French and the British, Canadians and Americans, we were on the march.
00:53:13.000 We were liberating French town after French town.
00:53:16.000 I'm sure this church has felt on the march at some time, right?
00:53:18.000 Building auditoriums.
00:53:20.000 Look around you, how blessed you are.
00:53:22.000 It's unbelievable.
00:53:24.000 Winning souls for Christ.
00:53:26.000 You have force equals mass times acceleration is momentum, right?
00:53:30.000 Where you have mass and you are moving fast.
00:53:32.000 We all know a season where we have momentum.
00:53:35.000 That's what was happening right after we won on D Day.
00:53:38.000 The bad guys, the National Socialist Worker Party, they were on defense.
00:53:41.000 They were losing town after town after town after town.
00:53:44.000 In fact, it looked as if victory was inevitable.
00:53:46.000 We were heading into the winter.
00:53:48.000 It looked like no way are they not going to wave the surrender flag.
00:53:51.000 George Patton was so confident of this, he went to Paris just to kind of go enjoy Paris because we liberated Paris.
00:53:58.000 But evil hates it when they get put on defense.
00:54:01.000 Evil, there's going to be a moment where all of a sudden the Allied forces thought they were going to enjoy Christmas.
00:54:07.000 Allied forces thought they were going to be able to enjoy Belgium and northeast France and just have a nice little chance to take a breath and maybe not have to lose their friends or lose their loved ones.
00:54:18.000 But then the most unexpected.
00:54:22.000 All out counter offensive from the enemy towards the good guys occurred in the Ardennes Forest, which is known as the Battle of the Bulge.
00:54:32.000 Outnumbered 10 to 1, full out Blitzkrieg, the leader, who I refuse to say his evil name, of the National Socialist Workers' Party, who might be the closest to the devil incarnate that we can look at in the next hundred years, who basically satisfied every single one of those things that executed a plan and methodical mass and mechanized murder of a certain type of people and also God's chosen people.
00:54:55.000 Hated it when he got put on defense.
00:54:56.000 Hated it when all of a sudden terrain was taken.
00:54:58.000 He said, That's it.
00:54:59.000 I'm going to try to take every single one of them down with me.
00:55:01.000 His generals thought he was nuts.
00:55:03.000 Now, remember, a sound mind is not something that is a characteristic of Satan.
00:55:06.000 He said, I don't care, go after the Ardennes.
00:55:08.000 We're going to go retake the port city in Belgium.
00:55:11.000 We're going to turn the course of the war.
00:55:12.000 They will never take Germany.
00:55:13.000 American forces were put on defense, they were put on their heels.
00:55:16.000 I'm sure a lot of you feel this way right now, where all of a sudden it's under attack, under attack.
00:55:19.000 And even though you know you're going to win, it's really awful.
00:55:23.000 So they knew they were going to win.
00:55:24.000 They knew that it wasn't a matter of whether or not victory was there.
00:55:27.000 It was, why are you harassing me?
00:55:28.000 Why are you killing my friends?
00:55:30.000 Why are all of a sudden you're bombing us?
00:55:31.000 And they said, We're not sure what's going on.
00:55:33.000 We just want to win this war because we know victory is inevitable, but it feels like hell.
00:55:39.000 It was cloudy, therefore, no ability to bomb the enemy forces was possible.
00:55:43.000 And it was an awful, weeks long struggle.
00:55:47.000 And then, when all of a sudden hope was kind of lost of just kind of this trench warfare setting in, and the Germans were picking off Allied forces, they woke up one day and it was one of the clearest days you could possibly imagine.
00:55:59.000 And the Allied forces bombers couldn't believe their eyes.
00:56:03.000 Miles, they saw every single German tank, artillery, piece of equipment, and troop lined up on a road for 45 miles, totally and completely exposed.
00:56:14.000 And that cloudiness was broken through, and the Allied forces destroyed almost every single piece of German machinery.
00:56:20.000 And out of there broke exactly what you are about to experience because they knew victory is inevitable.
00:56:26.000 And they were crushed and they were defeated.
00:56:28.000 What I'm getting at right now is that the enemy is always going to try to be launched in these all out campaigns, but victory is inevitable.
00:56:35.000 Is ours.
00:56:35.000 We are promised that of a sound mind.
00:56:37.000 We are promised that in the scriptures that we are born new.
00:56:40.000 Remember, he is a liar, he is deceitful, he is treacherous, he's a serpent.
00:56:44.000 He might be the king of this world, but he will be thrown into the lake of fire.
00:56:48.000 If we are serious about saving America and serious about saving our republic, we must now launch that counter offensive against that long 45 mile train of evil forces, and we are going to win.
00:57:01.000 God bless you guys.
00:57:01.000 Thank you so much.
