00:04:17.000No, they've never actually believed that.
00:04:18.000What they're trying to say is that the church should not get involved in the state.
00:05:58.000We're either here to talk about truth or we're here to pander to the middle.
00:06:01.000And so what I find is that the church has been lied to.
00:06:04.000I think it's an unclean spirit from the pit of hell.
00:06:07.000To get us into a place of passivity, intimidity, not of strength or courage, as it says in Joshua 1 9.0.69
00:06:14.000So the Joshua generation was the one that heard Moses' farewell address and entered into Canaan, the land, the promised land, as it was given.0.59
00:06:23.000And what's one of the first things it says in Joshua 1 9?
00:06:40.000Every single one of those things, not even mentioned in Exodus or Leviticus or Deuteronomy, which it is, the first 11 books of Genesis answer all these questions.
00:06:49.000Bereshit, which is in the beginning, is the first words of the Hebrew Bible.
00:06:53.000In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.0.57

00:08:01.000What happens when groups of people try to create a city, a town, or a government for their own sake and consolidate governmental control in centralized, authoritarian fashion?

00:08:17.000And if you're new to this church and your pastor's not challenging you, you're not diving deep into the scriptures.
00:08:23.000Now, that's not the only thing the scriptures have to offer, but to say that the Bible doesn't speak to these things at all, or you say, I only do the gospel, I do the gospel too.
00:08:45.000But, Charlie, in the bearish sheet of our nation, in the beginning, in the genesis of our nation, wasn't the church completely separated from politics?
00:08:58.000I mean, pastors stayed completely out of government, right?
00:09:01.000Like, what happened in Sunday morning services.
00:09:05.000Had no influence on the Revolutionary War, right?
00:09:13.000If you go to kind of your typical woke church, they'll tell you that, when in reality, 55 out of 56 of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were Bible believing church attending Christians.0.65
00:09:25.000The American founding, which, by the way, to this day, is the greatest political accomplishment post what we see in Exodus.
00:09:33.000I truly believe that what is formed in Exodus and the American founding.
00:09:36.000Are two of the greatest political breakthroughs in human history.
00:09:56.000Which is, Jonathan Edwards gave a very famous series of sermons saying, Sinners in the hands of an angry God, which is that if you do not repent, it says in 1 Chronicles, a nation that does not repent first and foremost.
00:10:08.000And I don't remember the exact scripture, but it basically says you will be condemned and it's not going to go well for you.
00:10:13.000I'm paraphrasing the essence of what it says in 1 Chronicles.
00:10:16.000So basically, what we talk about, basically, sometimes is the American founding.
00:10:22.000What we don't talk about is the decades of sermons, of pastoral ministry that led to this incredible celebration of 1776.
00:10:33.000And America was a drunk nation, America was a lost nation, America was an amoral nation in the 1750s and 1760s.
00:10:41.000But a revival came to America, and that revival triggered a new generation.
00:10:45.000You know who was in the crowds listening?
00:10:48.000A young Benjamin Franklin, a young Thomas Jefferson, a young James Madison, a young John Adams.
00:10:53.000They were literally 12 or 13 years old.0.51
00:10:55.000Ben Franklin, who gets labeled as a deist, and that's probably true, but we don't know if he gave his life to the Lord at the end of his life.
00:11:02.000But Ben Franklin was such a wise man, he went to over two dozen of George Whitefield's speeches.
00:11:07.000He became a friend of his, and he was so moved by what this man was saying.
00:11:11.000He said, My goodness, that there is another way.
00:11:13.000And so, all of a sudden, when you start to drink from the streams of liberty, you want to find its source.
00:11:17.000So, a generation was born, the generation that we now revere of Jefferson, Washington, Hamilton, you know, Governor Morris, some of the lesser known founders.
00:11:27.000And then they said, wait a second, if we're going to believe that God is king and Jesus is king, why are we listening to the tyrannical edicts of King George?
00:11:38.000That question is only asked if you study the scriptures and you give your life to Jesus.
00:11:43.000It says in John 10 10 I've come to give life, and life more abundantly.
00:11:48.000Where the enemy is here to steal, plot, and deceive and destroy.
00:11:51.000It's a beautiful contrast that shows the spiritual battle here.
00:11:55.000And so the founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson in particular, wrote in the Declaration of Independence one of the course of human events that becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands that have tied them to another.
00:12:03.000That is an anthem of eternal truths that you, a human being, have a right to self government.
00:12:18.000God is mentioned four times in the Declaration of Independence.
00:12:21.000At the end, you could read it as a prayer.
00:12:23.000Where it's almost an appeal to the supreme judge of the world.
00:12:27.000Now, if you know your scriptures, who's the supreme judge of the world?
00:12:30.000Jesus is the supreme judge of the world.
00:12:33.000The founding fathers put in their letter to King George a direct appeal to Christ our Lord.
00:12:39.000And yet I have to be lectured that the founding fathers were secular.
00:12:44.000Separation of church and state appears zero times in our founding documents, it does not exist.
00:12:49.000What does appear is the establishment clause, which is that Congress shall make no law.
00:12:53.000It gets misinterpreted by secular left wing revisionist judges by saying, well, that means that.
00:12:57.000Government cannot get involved at all in making truth claims.1.00

00:25:26.000I think it's just this eternal moral accomplishment, not just accomplishment, moral revelation that God comes down.

00:25:33.000Most of the world, most of your neighbors on Mercer Island or whatever, they think that morality, that you come up with it yourself, we believe morality is external, that it is given.

00:28:30.000But somebody who's constantly vulnerable, who is searching and confused, becomes the perfect raw material.
00:28:38.000For an authoritarian Maoist type regime to take root.
00:28:42.000So there's a lot of different components to this, but I just, parents, I implore you, be careful sending your kids to government schools.0.61

00:29:45.000And, Charlie, could you just bring some encouragement and kind of bring a fresh charge?
00:29:50.000To our amazing kingdom teachers that are on the front lines, and for those considering being teachers, is there something that you can bring for them today?
00:30:00.000Yeah, I mean, pray for wisdom and God will give it to you generously.
00:30:04.000And I mean, if you are in a government school position and you are tenured, I think that you should speak your faith every single day, and I think you should make them fire you.
00:30:13.000If they're allowed to put forward sexual perversion, and they're allowed to do the alphabet thing, and they're allowed to do the rainbow flag thing, those are religious symbols, by the way, make no mistake.
00:30:22.000Why can't you proclaim the truth of Jesus Christ?
00:30:24.000And by the way, if you have tenure, it's not easy to fire you.
00:30:26.000They could make life hell for you, they could really go after you, but you might say, Well, Charlie, I want my pension and all that.
00:31:16.000You know, some of you are going to be very outspoken, some of you are going to be quieter.
00:31:19.000But my goodness, what I have found is that there are so many of these kids that there's this unbelievable, again, we have thousands of these videos coming up of these young, now like.

00:32:32.000I know, and some of you guys are like aghast, but this is happening in Washington.
00:32:37.000Right now, we don't know the number, they keep it quiet, but at least thousands of kids are undergoing this minimum, probably more, tens of thousands, right?
00:32:54.000And by the way, parents are being held hostage by these doctors because these doctors will say, Well, your kid is threatening to kill themselves, and would you rather have an alive trans son than a dead daughter?
00:33:06.000When in reality, the parent would say, How dare you morally blackmail me?
00:33:10.000Saying that my kid's going to kill themselves if they don't get on irreversible lupron that chemically castrates them.
00:33:17.000Maybe they have other underlying treatable conditions like depression and anxiety, and that surgery is not the answer to those things.

00:36:25.000So, my question for you is you know, we're going into an election year this next year, and we were so shocked and blown away in 2020 because of just how much integrity was shown in that election that there's probably people here wondering how do we position ourselves as we go into an election year?

00:36:51.000And how are you positioning yourself to get people to not be passive and complacent as we go into a very important year for our country?
00:37:37.000The most important thing is sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ every single day.
00:37:41.000The second most important thing is making sure you could do the first thing make sure that the church is not deemed non essential while abortion clinics and liquor stores and marijuana dispensaries and strip clubs are deemed essential.
00:37:58.000I mean, we're only a couple years removed from when fascism came to America.
00:38:04.000So, look, the church needs to rise up and needs to do something about it.
00:38:08.000This election is going to be the most unpredictable, confusing election in history.
00:38:12.000There's probably going to be third party candidates, no labels, Cornel West.
00:38:15.000We talk about this on our show all the time.
00:38:18.000I have no idea how this is going to end up.
00:38:19.000Donald Trump is facing 600 years in federal prison.
00:38:24.000And by the way, I'll be honest, one of the great disappointments is how silent and quiet the church has been in this massive injustice of them targeting Donald Trump.
00:38:36.000I have not seen the American pastoral community come out and say this is modern day Maoism, where you can use the force of the federal government to go after a political dissident who's a former president on drummed up fake charges, like absolute fake charges.
00:38:54.000You might hate Trump in this audience, but there is no excuse for you to say that what's happening to him is proper, ordinary, or acceptable.
00:39:03.000I'm not even here to tell you to like him, okay?
00:39:07.000You might think that he is all the worst things, but.
00:39:10.000But you should also, boy, if you're a spirit filled Christian, I think you'll see what this is.

00:39:50.000And so, my theology is the Nicene Creed, is the inerrancy of Scripture, is that God will meet us halfway with something miraculous if we obey, if we act with obedience.
00:40:02.000And I will be honest, it is going to take a move of God for Donald J. Trump to become president again.
00:40:25.000I'm going to do whatever I am called to do, whatever that is, right?
00:40:29.000And we help at Turning Point, help fill that gap or fill that void.
00:40:34.000But somebody said the other day, they said, Well, Charlie, how big of a miracle is this going to take?

00:42:11.000Yeah, and we're going to try to make it a little bit different, but I think they're going to, I don't know, we'll be better attended or less attended.

00:44:26.000It is, you know, how many know that Buddha, before he died, said, strive without ceasing?
