00:01:39.000 Go to proclaim365.com today.
00:01:43.000 That's proclaim the numbers365.com today.
00:01:49.000 Hey, everybody.
00:01:51.000 Special episode of the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:01:52.000 Very special guest.
00:01:54.000 Say hello.
00:01:55.000 It's good to be back.
00:01:56.000 A lot of things have changed since I've been on the show.
00:02:00.000 We're married.
00:02:01.000 We're married.
00:02:02.000 That's a big development.
00:02:03.000 It's very we're going to do this as an annual thing every because I think the last time we did it was right around right when we got engaged.
00:02:09.000 Yeah, that was like November, December last year.
00:02:12.000 So it's like the yearly roundup.
00:02:15.000 Some people know you.
00:02:18.000 Some people don't.
00:02:19.000 So introduce yourself.
00:02:21.000 My name's Erica Kirk.
00:02:23.000 How does that feel?
00:02:23.000 I love saying that.
00:02:25.000 I love taking your last name.
00:02:26.000 No, my name is Erica Kirk.
00:02:29.000 I have a clothing line, Proclaim Streetwear, and I also am the leader of Bible in 365.
00:02:35.000 And I am married to my best friend and the love of my life and an amazing human.
00:02:42.000 Well, likewise.
00:02:46.000 And that's one of the things that I wanted to talk about, which is the Bible in 365.
00:02:53.000 So you work so hard on this.
00:02:55.000 And you have this amazing community of people that you've put together.
00:03:00.000 And you interact with them.
00:03:03.000 And basically, you help people read the Bible starting in January for an entire year.
00:03:10.000 It's actually really cool.
00:03:12.000 So this started almost six years ago originally in my studio apartment in Brooklyn.
00:03:20.000 And it eventually has now grown into thousands of people.
00:03:25.000 And we have readers all over the world.
00:03:28.000 And the cool thing about it is that we all read the Bible cover to cover together.
00:03:33.000 It's not you starting at your own pace.
00:03:35.000 It's not an app where you just, you know, click the little checkbox.
00:03:38.000 I read my reading for today.
00:03:40.000 There's a sense of accountability that's built into it.
00:03:42.000 And that's what I love.
00:03:43.000 And that's what I found when I first started reading.
00:03:46.000 I had so many questions because when I was younger, I never read the Bible cover to cover.
00:03:52.000 And I had so many questions.
00:03:53.000 And I had, I just wanted to do it along with someone that had also read scripture.
00:04:01.000 And so, anyways, out came from that a community, Bible in 365.
00:04:07.000 And basically, you can tailor your plan of like how you receive everything.
00:04:11.000 And then also, we are launching our branded app that is coming out December 31st or December 30th, I can't remember.
00:04:18.000 And so people can start anytime throughout the year, but the ideal is to do it January 1.
00:04:23.000 Because that's when we're all going to be reading as a family.
00:04:27.000 And some people just do it every year, right?
00:04:29.000 Yeah.
00:04:29.000 So we have a lot of returning family members, as we like to call it, because it really is a family.
00:04:33.000 We pray together.
00:04:34.000 We praise together.
00:04:36.000 We have a group called Prayer Warriors where you can sign up and you can be able to share with us what's on your heart, prayer requests, how we can be doing life with you, celebrating with you.
00:04:47.000 Yeah, it's just, it's an amazing community, and it's beautiful to be able to grow alongside people on this journey.
00:04:52.000 And there's really nothing more important than digging into God's word.
00:04:56.000 Well, and people are always giving excuses like, I don't know where to start.
00:04:59.000 It's too much time.
00:05:00.000 But you don't just go through like Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy.
00:05:04.000 I mean, you go through every book, but you do do it consecutively.
00:05:07.000 But you kind of break it up.
00:05:08.000 You have Psalms, Proverbs, New Testament, Old Testament, right?
00:05:11.000 And so every day you have a reading from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs.
00:05:16.000 And I broke it up that way because I heard the saying goes, unfortunately, is that the Old Testament is where Bible plans go to die because a lot of times.
00:05:25.000 Once you get to Leviticus.
00:05:26.000 It's hard.
00:05:27.000 And then Deuteronomy.
00:05:28.000 Right.
00:05:28.000 And a lot of people.
00:05:29.000 And then Judges.
00:05:30.000 Right.
00:05:30.000 They get stuck in.
00:05:31.000 1 Kings.
00:05:32.000 2 Kings.
00:05:33.000 Exactly.
00:05:34.000 And then by Obadiah, you're done.
00:05:35.000 I know, but there's you have to, and that's the thing that breaks in my heart is that a lot of Christians are like, I don't need to read the Old Testament.
00:05:42.000 That really doesn't relate to the New Testament, blah, blah, blah.
00:05:45.000 And it does.
00:05:47.000 Literally, Jesus came to fulfill all of the prophecy.
00:05:51.000 And so if you don't understand the Old Testament, you'll miss a lot of key points in the New Testament.
00:05:57.000 And just all in general, it's just so important to be familiar with God's Word because His Word never returns void.
00:06:04.000 And it's, so how do people sign up for it?
00:06:06.000 So they can go to Bibleon365.com or proclaimstreetwear.com slash Bible in 365.
00:06:13.000 And you can sign up there.
00:06:14.000 So what have been some of the things that you've learned by helping other people read the Bible throughout the year?
00:06:20.000 Just seeing the way God moves in their life and seeing how much more, how do you put it?
00:06:29.000 How much more they are aware of how alive God's word is and how they're able to incorporate what they're learning in scripture into their life and vice versa.
00:06:43.000 And the thing that I think is also really powerful is how people are able to spend their time in the morning or they carve out the time in their day where they can spend time with God, just them, one-on-one.
00:06:57.000 And to know that I can be a part of that journey is extremely humbling.
00:07:02.000 But they literally are able to sit down and say, you know what, for these 15 minutes, for these 20 minutes, I'm devoting it to God.
00:07:09.000 And this is my time to just dig deeper into scripture.
00:07:12.000 Yeah, and I mean, I know a lot of people that have been touched on it through it.
00:07:16.000 And it's also an accountability thing, right?
00:07:18.000 Because every day gets sent to you.
00:07:21.000 How long does it take to do the readings on average a day?
00:07:23.000 I would say probably 15 minutes, if that.
00:07:25.000 15 minutes.
00:07:26.000 But the thing is, okay, we've talked about this.
00:07:28.000 What happens if the government were to say, or the powers that be were to say, the Bible's no longer allowed?
00:07:38.000 Burn the Bibles.
00:07:39.000 Take them away.
00:07:40.000 Can't read them.
00:07:41.000 How much of scripture do we have memorized?
00:07:45.000 And not even to the point where we just have like a few verses, but, and we've talked about this.
00:07:49.000 How much of scripture do you have memorized to the point where you know where the commas are, the periods are, the pauses?
00:07:57.000 It's that type of realization that you think to yourself, okay, we need to dig a little bit deeper.
00:08:05.000 We need to really get into the word, not only just to obviously memorize it and the power of memorizing it, but also to be able to spread the gospel, to be able to be the salt and the light, and just really be able to make a difference while we're here for this short amount of time that we're even alive.
00:08:24.000 We're honored to be partnering with Alan Jackson Ministries.
00:08:26.000 And today, I want to point you to their podcast.
00:08:29.000 It's called Culture in Christianity, the Allen Jackson Podcast.
00:08:33.000 What makes it unique is Pastor Allen's biblical perspective.
00:08:36.000 He takes the truth from the Bible and applies it to issues we're facing today: gender confusion, abortion, immigration, Doge, Trump in the White House, issues in the church.
00:08:45.000 He doesn't just discuss the problems.
00:08:47.000 In every episode, he gives practical things we can do to make a difference.
00:08:50.000 His guests have incredible expertise and powerful testimonies.
00:08:54.000 They've been great friends.
00:08:55.000 And now you can hear from Charlie in his own words.
00:08:57.000 Each episode will make you recognize the power of your faith and how God can use your life to impact our world today.
00:09:04.000 The Culture and Christianity podcast is informative and encouraging.
00:09:07.000 You could find it on YouTube, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.
00:09:10.000 Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss any episodes.
00:09:13.000 Alan Jackson Ministries is working hard to bring biblical truth back into our culture.
00:09:18.000 You can find out more about Pastor Allen and the ministry at alanjackson.com forward slash Charlie.
00:09:26.000 Yeah, and so many people have an interest to do this, and there are a lot of Christians listening, and there's some non-Christians listening.
00:09:33.000 And it's a challenge, but did you find throughout the year people, you know, they grow in their faith and they want to read even more?
00:09:43.000 And I mean, breaking it up over a year every day is really important, but it doesn't stop there where people have questions and, you know, talked a little bit about that.
00:09:53.000 Yeah, so the cool thing about this being a Bible in 365 community is that let's start it from this way.
00:10:00.000 We've had people who were looking for churches because their church wasn't open in small towns in the middle of nowhere.
00:10:05.000 We're able to see on our back end where that person's located and be able to say, okay, so are you looking for a church within this mile of radius?
00:10:13.000 They say yes.
00:10:14.000 So we're able to then reach out to people within that same community and say, hey, would you be able to connect with XYZ to be able to share which churches are open, which ones that are in alignment with the gospel?
00:10:25.000 Would you be able to connect?
00:10:26.000 So I think that's really beautiful is the connection part and the community part because we are made for community and we crave it right now, especially with everything that's gone on with COVID.
00:10:35.000 When it comes to questions, I love when people reach out and either text or email questions about what's going on in the reading.
00:10:43.000 We also are big on, obviously the number one resource is the Bible, but we're also really big on sharing other resources and different commentaries that are very helpful to understanding of digging deeper into the word.
00:10:53.000 So that's really fun.
00:10:54.000 We incorporate that within the reading as well.
00:10:57.000 But the thing that's amazing that I love is how many returning people come back every year.
00:11:03.000 And that's the thing that's so powerful is they say, well, I did it last year, but now this year I invited my sister and my mom and my brother.
00:11:10.000 And a lot of people are like, oh, is it mostly just women?
00:11:13.000 No, we have men and women in this.
00:11:16.000 We have young and old.
00:11:17.000 Our oldest reader is 82 and our youngest one is 13.
00:11:22.000 Wow.
00:11:22.000 It's amazing.
00:11:24.000 And so it's Biblein365, the number 365.com.
00:11:30.000 And, you know, you work so hard at this.
00:11:32.000 I'm so proud of you.
00:11:33.000 You've changed so many lives through this.
00:11:35.000 And you have like a very small team.
00:11:37.000 I haven't.
00:11:37.000 God has.
00:11:38.000 God has.
00:11:39.000 But you've also made the choice to do this.
00:11:41.000 And you have one person on the team that helps.
00:11:44.000 For Bible in 365, that just kind of helps put it together.
00:11:48.000 But this is the time where people make New Year's resolutions.
00:11:52.000 This is the time where people are reconsidering life choices after drunk nights near Christmas or whatever.
00:12:00.000 Right.
00:12:00.000 And they're seeing their high school friends maybe going back home or they're seeing their grandkids and they're like, I got to fix something.
00:12:08.000 This is a great New Year's resolution.
00:12:11.000 And it's so much more than that, too, because you're dealing with people's souls.
00:12:14.000 You know, you want to be the reason why heaven is crowded.
00:12:18.000 You want to be the reason why people know God or know of Jesus Christ and know what he's done in your life.
00:12:24.000 And you want to be a part of that journey with people.
00:12:27.000 And there is so much more to this world than the sinful ways of living that are easy to do out there.
00:12:34.000 And there's something really powerful and beautiful in obedience to Christ and obedience to the Holy Spirit.
00:12:41.000 And even too, how we've incorporated that in our life with the Sabbath, like honoring the Sabbath and seeing how that's going to happen.
00:12:47.000 So you could testify to the audience, I actually do it.
00:12:50.000 Oh, 100%.
00:12:51.000 He turns his phone off, puts it in a drawer, doesn't touch it.
00:12:54.000 Read journal.
00:12:56.000 This is how it goes.
00:12:56.000 Friday night, 5.15, no later than 5.30.
00:13:01.000 The phone goes into the drawer, closes the drawer.
00:13:06.000 That's it.
00:13:06.000 That's it.
00:13:07.000 Saturday, 5.15.
00:13:10.000 I did 25 hours last weekend.
00:13:11.000 I know.
00:13:12.000 I was really proud of you.
00:13:13.000 Thank you.
00:13:14.000 I know.
00:13:15.000 And he pulls it out of the drawer and turns it back on.
00:13:17.000 That's it.
00:13:18.000 But during that time, which is beautiful, is that you take the time to read scripture.
00:13:22.000 And rest.
00:13:23.000 You rest, you write a note to God.
00:13:26.000 You write and you just pray and you meditate on God's word.
00:13:30.000 And I think that's really something that's workout.
00:13:33.000 I do something restorative.
00:13:35.000 Yeah.
00:13:35.000 Go for a walk.
00:13:36.000 For sure.
00:13:38.000 And the Sabbath has been amazing.
00:13:40.000 And I tell people that all the time.
00:13:41.000 I say it's a gift to us.
00:13:43.000 I know.
00:13:45.000 It's something that we have that can actually benefit our lives.
00:13:48.000 God knows us so well.
00:13:49.000 And I just want to challenge people, New Year's resolution.
00:13:54.000 You know, if we can find time to do the Sabbath, we're very busy.
00:13:58.000 A lot of demands on our time.
00:14:00.000 People listening can too.
00:14:02.000 Yes.
00:14:02.000 And not only that.
00:14:04.000 And there could be exceptions at times.
00:14:06.000 Right.
00:14:06.000 But, you know, with how much spiritual warfare is going on right now, it is palpable.
00:14:12.000 You can feel it in rooms you walk into, when you're watching the news.
00:14:17.000 It is surrounding us.
00:14:19.000 And the only way to fight back is with God's word.
00:14:25.000 The only way to understand and make sense of it is with God's word.
00:14:28.000 And if you don't take time to literally quiet your mind from the noise that's inundating you from news articles to press releases to your friend doing something, your family members not allowing you to come to the holidays or whatever,
00:14:44.000 it's really something that within alignment with the Sabbath and God's word, for you to be able to just take a minute to just breathe, cut out the noise, and just be in alignment with the Spirit and know what's going on and what your role is in all of this.
00:15:00.000 Yeah, it's beautiful.
00:15:02.000 So you also run Proclaim.
00:15:04.000 Talked about that.
00:15:05.000 Proclaim Streetwear.
00:15:06.000 Very proud of it.
00:15:06.000 I'm wearing it.
00:15:07.000 Yeah.
00:15:08.000 All over.
00:15:08.000 I am too.
00:15:09.000 We're twins.
00:15:10.000 And it's all made in America.
00:15:13.000 No Chinese fabrics.
00:15:15.000 So here's the deal.
00:15:17.000 A lot of people get this confused.
00:15:18.000 They think, okay, clothing line equals merch line.
00:15:21.000 They're two completely separate things.
00:15:23.000 Clothing line is you literally have tech packs.
00:15:27.000 Everything is cut and sewn from literally a thread to a full finished garment made in the USA.
00:15:34.000 We work with a factory in New York and in LA, and we get this done.
00:15:39.000 And I actually know the people who make my clothing rather than just some slave labor in central China.
00:15:47.000 And you lived in China for a while.
00:15:48.000 Chongqing.
00:15:49.000 Sounds like, yeah.
00:15:50.000 You know all about it.
00:15:51.000 Yeah.
00:15:52.000 I mean, you know about the abuse of workers.
00:15:55.000 It's so sad.
00:15:56.000 Yeah.
00:15:56.000 It's so sad.
00:15:57.000 So anyways, that was my number one thing.
00:15:59.000 I was not going to compromise on.
00:16:01.000 Everything is made in the USA.
00:16:03.000 Everything is highly quality checked.
00:16:05.000 All of our threads and fabrics are organic, which is another thing, really making sure that we don't have any toxins in our clothing because your skin is the largest organ that absorbs everything that it touches.
00:16:16.000 So organic dyes, organic threads.
00:16:19.000 Super comfy.
00:16:20.000 Yeah, you're wearing the bamboo threads.
00:16:21.000 I wear them all the time.
00:16:22.000 I know.
00:16:23.000 I know you only.
00:16:23.000 And I don't get enough of them.
00:16:25.000 I say, I know.
00:16:26.000 And I get a couple more.
00:16:27.000 I know.
00:16:27.000 I'm sorry.
00:16:28.000 So that you're wearing the bamboo threads t-shirts.
00:16:32.000 So, yeah, but the coolest part about all of this is that there's a give back mission attached to it.
00:16:37.000 So the meaning behind a Proclaimed Streetwear is based off of Isaiah 61, verse 1, and then Luke 3.11.
00:16:45.000 So.
00:16:46.000 And business is doing well.
00:16:48.000 Business is doing really well.
00:16:49.000 We sold out immediately when we first launched.
00:16:52.000 Scaling like crazy.
00:16:53.000 Scaling.
00:16:53.000 It's amazing.
00:16:54.000 I'm so grateful.
00:16:55.000 The joggers are super.
00:16:57.000 Glory to God.
00:16:57.000 You're wearing those too.
00:16:58.000 I do.
00:16:59.000 Of course I do.
00:17:00.000 I wear all your stuff.
00:17:01.000 I love it.
00:17:02.000 You're my biggest hype man.
00:17:03.000 I hype it all the time.
00:17:04.000 I know.
00:17:04.000 It's really cool to see how even just a piece of clothing can be an opening and a gateway for people to be able to talk about the gospel.
00:17:12.000 Because someone could see the design on your sleeve and be like, hey, what does that say?
00:17:15.000 And you're like, well, let me tell you.
00:17:17.000 And it's Isaiah 61, 1.
00:17:20.000 The Lord God is upon me.
00:17:23.000 Upon me.
00:17:24.000 Yeah.
00:17:24.000 I was reading it upside down.
00:17:26.000 Oh.
00:17:26.000 That's why I was like.
00:17:28.000 No, it's good.
00:17:29.000 So it's amazing.
00:17:30.000 It's been a blessing to see the way God has started it.
00:17:33.000 And originally, it started in Manhattan in 2018, but a few years prior than that is when I actually started Bible in 365.
00:17:40.000 And I truly believe that if I did not start Bible in 365, I would not have had the moment for God to reveal to me my functional calling of Proclaim Streetwear.
00:17:53.000 Primary calling, spreading the gospel, the Great Commission.
00:17:57.000 That's my primary calling always.
00:17:58.000 But my functional calling was definitely Proclaimed Streetwear.
00:18:04.000 We're honored to be partnering with Alan Jackson Ministries.
00:18:06.000 And today, I want to point you to their podcast.
00:18:09.000 It's called Culture in Christianity, the Allen Jackson Podcast.
00:18:13.000 What makes it unique is Pastor Allen's biblical perspective.
00:18:16.000 He takes the truth from the Bible and applies it to issues we're facing today: gender confusion, abortion, immigration, Doge, Trump in the White House, issues in the church.
00:18:25.000 He doesn't just discuss the problems.
00:18:27.000 In every episode, he gives practical things we can do to make a difference.
00:18:30.000 His guests have incredible expertise and powerful testimonies.
00:18:34.000 They've been great friends.
00:18:35.000 And now you can hear from Charlie in his own words.

00:18:53.000 Alan Jackson Ministries is working hard to bring biblical truth back into our culture.
00:18:58.000 You can find out more about Pastor Allen and the ministry at alanjackson.com forward slash Charlie.
00:19:06.000 So in closing, I want to talk about a lot of the emails we get at freedom at charliekirk.com of people that ask questions and advice about dating advice and marriage.
00:19:18.000 I don't know if we're ready to comment on marriage expert advice yet.
00:19:23.000 That probably can come in the years to come, but it's awesome.
00:19:25.000 And everyone should get married.
00:19:27.000 I totally agree.
00:19:28.000 But let's start with like one question.
00:19:29.000 Charlie, I'm 31.
00:19:32.000 I'm a Christian woman.
00:19:34.000 I've had a good career.
00:19:35.000 I can't find anyone.
00:19:37.000 I never really comment on the woman side of it.
00:19:39.000 I always say, talk to my wife.
00:19:41.000 For the men, get your act together.
00:19:42.000 Stop being a schlep.
00:19:44.000 Stop drinking.
00:19:44.000 Sit up straight with your shoulders back.
00:19:46.000 You know, go lift weights and, you know, don't be a bum, basically.
00:19:50.000 Right.
00:19:50.000 I could say that to young.
00:19:52.000 What about young women?
00:19:53.000 What are they supposed to do?
00:19:54.000 No, it's a good point.
00:19:56.000 You know, I have a few.
00:19:59.000 I have, I see both sides of this.
00:20:03.000 I think there's also a point where young women have this unrealistic checklist that they feel like they have to hit every single point in order for this person to be perfect.
00:20:17.000 And if they're not every single checkpoint of their own liking versus the desires that God has for them, then that person's totally disregarded.
00:20:28.000 I think that women need to not literally prioritize their life in a way where you don't have to be partying every single night.
00:20:41.000 I think it's super unattractive.
00:20:43.000 You don't have, I know I get a ton of backlash on this, but I really say there's no reason to be on the apps.
00:20:50.000 Some people are like, I met my love in my life on the app.
00:20:52.000 Okay, you are very rare.
00:20:54.000 A lot of the apps have totally changed.
00:20:56.000 They're now inclusive to all different types of genders, all different types of backgrounds.
00:21:01.000 They have a tendency to be more an alignment with hookup culture rather than the old school traditional e-harmony where it's like, I'm looking for the love of my life versus now it's like, hey, I'm in Atlanta and I need a drop-off girl.
00:21:15.000 Like there's different, I feel as if there's different intentions behind the app.
00:21:20.000 But for women, just wait on the Lord.
00:21:23.000 And I know that that's hard, but really just wait and take the time to enjoy the season of being single.
00:21:31.000 God is, God knows what you need.
00:21:34.000 You're human.
00:21:35.000 Your husband, my husband, you did not come a second too late or a second too soon.
00:21:42.000 You came at the exact time in my life.
00:21:44.000 And I honestly believe because I was right with the Lord.
00:21:47.000 I was doing everything that I needed to be doing.
00:21:50.000 I was focusing on obviously God, but career.
00:21:54.000 And just in a way where I was like, you know what?
00:21:56.000 When I'm running my race and I'm in a jet stream of healthy things, of having my life together, you came running right alongside me.
00:22:07.000 So I think a lot of people just get nervous or try to force stuff that doesn't work.
00:22:13.000 But they shouldn't be hermits.
00:22:14.000 No.
00:22:15.000 No.
00:22:16.000 Right.
00:22:16.000 They should get out.
00:22:17.000 Yeah.
00:22:17.000 I mean, I always say that if you, pastors need to do a better job of trying to arrange people together.
00:22:23.000 Go to church.
00:22:24.000 Totally.
00:22:24.000 Go to the early service.
00:22:27.000 You know, if you go to the early service and you see other young singles there, they probably got their act together.
00:22:31.000 Literally.
00:22:31.000 Seriously, if you go to the 8 a.m., I totally agree.
00:22:34.000 Then that's probably a good use of your time, right?
00:22:38.000 Like, wow, that other person is there.
00:22:40.000 And a lot of churches have singles ministries.
00:22:42.000 They do.
00:22:43.000 And I think also too, sometimes a lot of people do avoid the singles groups because there's a lot of pressure in people being like, hey, do you want to go grab coffee?
00:22:53.000 Do you want to do this?
00:22:54.000 So there's awkward pressure with that.
00:22:55.000 I get that.
00:22:56.000 But for women, I just really believe that we're in such, I mean, Instagram doesn't help at all.
00:23:03.000 Social media doesn't help at all, but we're in such a culture where people want to have instant gratification and just, trust me, swim in a stream of significance and just wait.
00:23:17.000 Just wait.
00:23:18.000 Whether that's sexually, whether that's relationally, just wait.
00:23:24.000 And I promise you, God will honor that.
00:23:28.000 We get a lot of very impatient people.
00:23:31.000 I think, is that fair to say?
00:23:33.000 Well, yeah, and I get it.
00:23:34.000 I mean, no one wants to be, you know, past the age where they can't have children.
00:23:40.000 But at the same time, women too, if you're choosing to live in a city like New York City and have a nine-to-five career job that you're putting before a potential relationship and you're married to your work, that's a whole different story.
00:23:58.000 So you kind of have to make the decision of, okay, what is more important here?
00:24:03.000 What is more priority?
00:24:09.000 Yeah.
00:24:10.000 And most young men have been completely emasculated and beat down by this culture and by their peers and they have to get their act together.
00:24:22.000 A lot of young women are complaining, I can't find anyone.
00:24:25.000 They're all a bunch of losers.
00:24:26.000 And they're not totally wrong, by the way.
00:24:29.000 And then, or they're a bunch of jerks, which again, they're not totally wrong.
00:24:34.000 But at the same time, but then the men complain about women like you wouldn't believe it.
00:24:37.000 Right, because the women totally emasculate the men.
00:24:41.000 They're like, they're super aggressive.
00:24:43.000 And, you know, and I mean, this is why we're seeing the lowest marriage rates in American history.
00:24:50.000 I don't think our parents' generation really understands this.
00:24:54.000 They don't understand the numbers.
00:24:55.000 The numbers are so bad.
00:24:57.000 I know.
00:24:57.000 It's the most single generation in American history, the least populated, meaning having less children than ever before, most suicidal, most depressed.
00:25:07.000 And there's a lot of different contributing factors to that.
00:25:13.000 And yeah, so people, you know, from a male side, I could, you know, I summarized it kind of quickly.
00:25:18.000 But yeah, I mean, you have to do something that has purpose and you have to dedicate yourself to that.
00:25:26.000 And God is the best thing to dedicate yourself in that way.
00:25:30.000 Totally.
00:25:32.000 And there's just this kind of idea that I can have an immediately pleasurable life and then also find significance.
00:25:41.000 It usually doesn't work that way.
00:25:43.000 No.
00:25:43.000 And it's super fleeting.
00:25:44.000 And there's nothing, I mean, that's trying to build a kingdom on sand.
00:25:49.000 That's just not going to work.
00:25:50.000 So if you are surrounding yourself with people, I mean, you say it all the time.
00:25:54.000 You're a lot like the people you spend time with.
00:25:57.000 You can spend time with.
00:25:58.000 Exactly.
00:25:58.000 And so just really spend 2022 getting your life in order in a way where you're prioritizing properly your time in the morning and be so efficient with your time.
00:26:10.000 I think that's another thing that a lot of people totally disregard is even if you have to go to the point where you are time blocking on your calendar where you say from 6 a.m. to 6.15 a.m., I have my time with the Lord.
00:26:23.000 And then from 6.15 to 6.30, I'm taking a shower.
00:26:27.000 Like even if you have to be that regimented with your time, it's such a gift that we even have time here on earth.
00:26:35.000 And so like really take that time to invest into certain things, not financially.
00:26:39.000 I'm talking from mind, spirit, body, soul.
00:26:43.000 Like really take the time to invest quality time into things that really matter.
00:26:48.000 Yeah.
00:26:48.000 Really matter.
00:26:49.000 And for men, you know, starting in January, you're listening to this.
00:26:53.000 Sign up for Bible in 365, obviously.
00:26:55.000 Get into the word, but challenge yourself with something that's attainable.
00:27:00.000 And this speaks more to men than women.
00:27:04.000 Not to say women don't need to be challenged, but men especially at that age need to be challenged.
00:27:09.000 And the best way, let's just start with something super easy.
00:27:12.000 Every young man listening to this can challenge yourself physically.
00:27:15.000 You just can't, let's just start.
00:27:16.000 It's so simple.
00:27:17.000 Even if it's a, even if you're just walking outside.
00:27:20.000 Yeah, I mean, you could say that, okay, I can only run a mile in 15 minutes, and now I want to run a mile in 12 minutes.
00:27:27.000 I don't even know how long I run a mile in.
00:27:29.000 I only run 15 slow, but whatever it is, challenge yourself towards improvement.
00:27:37.000 Right.
00:27:38.000 And the physical one's easy because it's super measurable and it doesn't matter where you start.
00:27:44.000 You could be like, yeah, I can only run a mile in 25 minutes.
00:27:48.000 Okay, well, then let's get it down to 20.
00:27:50.000 Or I can only lift 10 pounds.
00:27:52.000 Well, then go to 30.
00:27:54.000 And then all of a sudden, a culture and a psychology of improvement will start to set in.
00:27:59.000 And then all of a sudden, you're like, yeah, I don't feel good when I go drinking anymore.
00:28:03.000 Right.
00:28:04.000 It's like, yeah, because you actually want to improve.
00:28:05.000 Right.
00:28:06.000 You're like going in the pursuit and the direction of trying to become something better.
00:28:11.000 Right.
00:28:12.000 And that's why we were put on this earth to glorify God and everything that we do to the glory of God.
00:28:20.000 And so if what you're doing does not bring glory to God, don't do it.
00:28:26.000 So for high schoolers out there, what's your advice?
00:28:30.000 Oh, gosh.
00:28:31.000 High schoolers, I know you would say don't go to college.
00:28:35.000 Well, I would just say learn how to say no about everything around you.
00:28:38.000 I'd say learn how to think.
00:28:40.000 I'd say really take, really, really, you have two pairs of eyes.
00:28:46.000 You have your physical eyes that you see things, and then you have the eyes of your heart.
00:28:51.000 And you're pretty smart when you're in high school.
00:28:55.000 I mean, you don't know everything, that's for sure, but you're smart.
00:28:58.000 And just really think with your heart alongside your eyes and see with both pairs of eyes to really just be able to see what's really going on in the world and how you can fit within the puzzle pieces of the organized chaos of this world.
00:29:15.000 And how you can really be able to be a solution rather than continually to be adding to the problem or continually being a part of the statistics of TikTok or the statistics of Instagram.
00:29:29.000 collecting your data, creating a second AI version of you.
00:29:34.000 Like there's things and ways for you to be able to stand out.
00:29:38.000 Yeah, I totally agree.
00:29:41.000 And we get a lot of messages from high school kids that are just so alone and propagandized.
00:29:46.000 And that's the thing, too, even with the fact of community, just knowing that you have people within your circle.
00:29:53.000 And even too with Turning Point, when you have, and we were just talking about this with the conferences, people can go to these things and feel so alone.
00:30:01.000 And then all of a sudden they meet their new best friend that lives maybe across the country.
00:30:05.000 But at least they're able to meet someone that they can say, hey, now I have someone to text when I'm feeling a little bit down and I need someone to go be alongside me.
00:30:14.000 It's beautiful.
