00:01:31.000 Okay, joining us now is Todd Bensman, who is an immigration expert.
00:01:37.000 And he joins us now.
00:01:38.000 You can check out his website, ToddBensman.com, currently serves as Texas-based Senior National Security Fellow for the Center for Immigration Studies.
00:01:46.000 Todd, welcome to the program.
00:01:47.000 You're the author of the book, Overrun.
00:01:49.000 You do a great job.
00:01:50.000 So, Todd, how bad is it right now on the southern border?
00:01:54.000 Well, appearances are not reality at the border.
00:01:58.000 The administration is spiking the football in the end zone and taking victory laps, saying that the numbers of illegal crossings is down.
00:02:08.000 And it is true that the number of illegal crossings are down, which gives the appearance of kind of orderliness at the border.
00:02:16.000 But what they won't tell you is that by the percentage of decline, that same number is being brought through the ports of entry with permission slips that they're handing out by the buckets, by the dump truck load to anybody who applies.
00:02:35.000 So they're handing out probably something on the order of 1 million of those in the course over the course of a year.
00:02:43.000 So the same high numbers, 200,000 a month, are still entering the country, but they're just being diverted through this other kind of pathway.
00:02:52.000 They call it legal orderly pathways is actually the term for this.
00:03:00.000 But the cities like Chicago and New York and Washington and everywhere else, all they know is that there's all these people are coming in that are uninsured and needy and going into their school systems and getting onto the public roles and filling up hotel space and all the rest.
00:03:18.000 So none of that has changed.
00:03:19.000 Just the way that they're entering looks like it's fewer, but it's the same.
00:03:25.000 How many have entered it this year illegally into our country?
00:03:28.000 It's hard to say, but altogether, we think that there are probably on the order of four and a half million people, new people have entered and been allowed to stay in the United States since Biden's inauguration.
00:03:43.000 There have been some changes recently in policy.
00:03:46.000 Title 42 went away and it only went away in mid-May.
00:03:51.000 So we don't have a really good figure on how many are entering, mainly because the dump truck loads of passes that they're handing out on the Mexican side, they're not telling us how many.
00:04:07.000 So we can only kind of guess.
00:04:10.000 They will not tell us how many.
00:04:11.000 Nobody's demanding the numbers really.
00:04:15.000 Up until yesterday at the hearing with my orcas, he was being asked how many.
00:04:20.000 They're also flying probably, we think on the order of 40,000 a month from foreign airports into American airports directly through ports of entry.
00:04:33.000 So we think about 80,000 a month, maybe 100,000 a month are being brought in just in these two hidden ways.
00:04:41.000 So, you know, I do have a FOIA request that has been ignored and we are suing the Center for Immigration Studies has a federal lawsuit to get those numbers.
00:04:54.000 We were told in our last round of meetings with the DHS lawyers that we may actually get the data in another week or two.
00:05:04.000 So once we actually have hands on the data, I'll be able to give you a good answer to that.
00:05:12.000 People ask me all the time when I travel about Strong Cell.
00:05:14.000 Charlie, is Strong Cell legit?
00:05:16.000 Charlie, do you really believe in the anti-aging properties of NADH?
00:05:19.000 Well, it's not a matter of whether or not, if I believe it, it's the science.
00:05:22.000 You guys can check it out.
00:05:23.000 Back check me, look at NAD and see what it could do for you.
00:05:25.000 Well, look, I take NAD every single day.
00:05:27.000 Strong Cell is a scientific breakthrough in cellular health replenishment that combines NADH, CoQ10, and marine collagen to boost your body's cellular function.
00:05:36.000 I personally take Strong Cell every day and do so, and so many, and so do a ton of Kirk listeners.
00:05:42.000 Go see the reviews for yourself.
00:05:44.000 If you are someone who relies on caffeine or sugar to get yourself going, then you have to give Strong Cell a try.
00:05:48.000 I only have one important request as I recommend this life-changing product.
00:05:52.000 You've got to give it at least four weeks to realize the best results.
00:05:55.000 It takes a little time to re-engineer your body's NADH.
00:05:58.000 Think about it.
00:05:58.000 It's been on decline in your middle-aged body for a year or so.
00:06:01.000 So check it out.
00:06:02.000 Go to strongcell.com forward slash Charlie and read the personal testimonies for yourself.
00:06:07.000 Then use promo code Charlie to get a special 20% discount on your order.
00:06:11.000 Again, that's strongcell.com forward slash Charlie.
00:06:13.000 20% discount, strongcell.com, promo code Charlie.
00:06:20.000 So I want to play this here.
00:06:22.000 I believe Mayorkis when he says this.
00:06:24.000 He thinks he's doing a great job.
00:06:26.000 PlayCut 85.
00:06:27.000 Secretary Mayorkis, you must resign.
00:06:30.000 Will you resign?
00:06:32.000 No, I will not.
00:06:33.000 I am incredibly proud of the work that is performed.
00:06:35.000 I understand.
00:06:36.000 The Department of Secretary Mayorkas, if you will not resign, that leaves us with no other option.
00:06:42.000 You should be impeached.
00:06:45.000 So Todd, they want open borders.
00:06:47.000 Why do they want them?
00:06:48.000 Why do they want millions of people illegally breaking and entering coming into our country? 0.99
00:06:52.000 Well, there are several reasons, I believe. 0.94
00:06:55.000 I have an entire chapter, chapter four of my book, Overrun, is dedicated to this.
00:07:02.000 I think a lot of it is ideological.
00:07:04.000 It's this feeling of we are being virtuous.
00:07:09.000 We are a virtuous people.
00:07:12.000 And our immigration laws are not virtuous. 0.52
00:07:15.000 Our immigration laws are cruel and inhumane and have to be ignored.
00:07:19.000 So this administration is the first one ever in the history of the country to just simply decouple itself from congressionally mandated statutes to detain and deport.
00:07:30.000 They just decided we are not going to do it.
00:07:33.000 We are going to ignore the 1996 law signed by a Democrat, Bill Clinton.
00:07:40.000 And we're going to do our own thing.
00:07:42.000 And our own thing is we're going to just invent out of whole cloth these massive new admittance programs outside of any authority of Congress, meaning we're going to fly them in from airports to airport and we're going to escort them in over the bridges with these entry permits.
00:08:00.000 All of this is not legal.
00:08:02.000 It's extra legal.
00:08:04.000 There is litigation.
00:08:06.000 Sooner or later, courts are going to strike that down.
00:08:10.000 I believe that they want to do this because there's money in it.
00:08:15.000 The migrant advocacy industrial complex, as I call it in the book, makes money when they have to step forward to help the administration manage the crisis that they engineered and that they built because the DHS finds that we can't handle all of these problems that come with our policies. 0.64
00:08:43.000 So we are going to let $150 million contract to Catholic charities to help us. 0.73
00:08:48.000 We're going to let $500 million for this charity, for that charity, for monies to go out.
00:08:56.000 And they're making money.
00:08:58.000 It would be as if the industrial, like the defense industry that makes bullets and bombs were to take charge of our diplomacy, national diplomacy, we would never see a day of peace.
00:09:11.000 It would be just war all day every year as we're making money.
00:09:14.000 And that's what I think is really driving it on kind of old school journalism that way.
00:09:20.000 People lobby and obtain their policies that benefit them financially.
00:09:29.000 It's the same old story, in my opinion, on that.
00:09:34.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.

00:10:33.000 It's mypillow.com, promo code Kirk.
00:10:37.000 So, Todd, what could Texas do if anything?
00:10:40.000 Because they've been awfully weak on this.
00:10:42.000 You know, they have something in the river.
00:10:44.000 Why is Texas so passive with the routine invasion of our country?
00:10:48.000 Yeah, up until recently, the Governor Greg Abbott's passivity had to do with just kind of a natural conservative.
00:10:58.000 He's a lawyer and he doesn't want to lose litigation that would reflect poorly on him politically.
00:11:07.000 But I will say that the governor has in more recent months, starting like in May, has gotten aggressive with new tactics down there where he's having the Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and National Guard string razor wire up and then like NFL linemen block these immigrants at the riverbank so that they can't pass.
00:11:32.000 And then as they traverse along looking for a hole, the troops, you know, kind of follow them along and don't let them in.
00:11:38.000 And I was just down there a week or two ago and I watched it happen.
00:11:42.000 I mean, that they were returning to Mexico, large numbers of them. 0.83
00:11:47.000 And that's a new tactic that they're doing.
00:11:49.000 They've actually really fortified in depth this one really busy sector, the Del Rio sector in Texas.
00:11:57.000 And it's very interesting to watch.
00:12:00.000 But what's undermining about it is that the Biden administration's border patrol agents are under orders to find them and bring them in past the Texans. 0.53
00:12:12.000 and then let them loose into the country.
00:12:14.000 So these two agencies have polar opposite agendas and policies that are kind of undermining each other at the same time.
00:12:23.000 And part of what you're seeing is that with the water barrier, it was part of what Greg Abbott's new sort of in-depth fortifications that they're trying out down there.
00:12:33.000 And so the Biden administration has now moved it to the next level and they're suing the state under various grounds to try to get rid of it, which always tells me that they must be worried that it's going to work.
00:12:46.000 So it's very interesting what's going on.
00:12:49.000 Ultimately, what people on Abbott's right want most is to see him not just block them at the river, but to round them up and bring them back to Mexico.
00:13:03.000 And he's...
00:13:04.000 Why don't we do that?
00:13:06.000 He's still just not quite willing to do that.
00:13:08.000 Now, their claim is that they believe that they don't really have the authority.
00:13:13.000 They have to declare an invasion title.
00:13:16.000 Wait, why hasn't he declared an invasion, though?
00:13:18.000 He won't do it because he doesn't feel like they have the legal grounds to do it and that the Texas troopers that are ordered to do that could be arrested for kidnapping.
00:13:33.000 So what would constitute an invasion due to the brilliant legal mind of Greg Abbott?
00:13:38.000 And who would arrest them for kidnapping?
00:13:40.000 The feds?
00:13:41.000 Yeah, the feds.
00:13:42.000 Oh, that would be really rich.
00:13:43.000 Good luck.
00:13:44.000 Good luck arresting a bunch of Texas state troopers.
00:13:45.000 Let me understand this.
00:13:46.000 So Greg Abbott doesn't think it's an invasion.
00:13:49.000 Well, not enough.
00:13:50.000 He doesn't think it enough to actually go the route of Kerry Lake. 0.99
00:13:54.000 Kerry Lake was going to do it if she'd been elected governor of Arizona.
00:13:59.000 Nobody's ever tried it. 1.00
00:14:00.000 It's brand new legal territory.
00:14:01.000 At the very least, it would immediately get tied up in litigation.
00:14:05.000 But a lot of people argue well that, you know, why not test that thing out, make it go all the way to the Supreme Court.
00:14:12.000 But no, hold on a second.
00:14:13.000 Texas signed a declaration of invasion during the wars in the 1800s.
00:14:19.000 They were a sovereign country.
00:14:20.000 So they've signed declaration of invasions before.
00:14:23.000 So it's not new.
00:14:24.000 No, you know, listen, these are legal arguments that have not been thoroughly articulated by the Abbott administration, but some of it has leaked out.
00:14:38.000 I'm in touch with some of the people that are on the inside over there.
00:14:42.000 And they really do feel like the feds would have grounds to arrest their troopers for kidnapping and prosecuting.
00:14:51.000 Yeah, so whether it's true or not.
00:14:54.000 So Abbott is afraid a bunch of feds will come and arrest Texas state troopers.
00:14:59.000 Yeah, Texas tough.
00:15:00.000 Sure.
00:15:00.000 Thanks, Todd.
00:15:04.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
00:15:05.000 Email us your thoughts as always, freedom at charliekirk.com.
