00:00:01.000Tyler Boyer from Turning Point Action joins us, tpaction.com, and then Blake Masters, all about how we can retake Arizona.
00:00:09.000As always, you can email me your thoughts, freedom at charliekirk.com, and subscribe to the Charlie Kirk Show podcast by opening up your podcast app and typing Charlie Kirk Show.
00:00:51.000We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:01:34.000By doing zero, you're actually hurting us more than you're helping at all.
00:01:39.000So, and part of this is because Mitch McConnell just can't get on board with the fact that Blake Masters is the best Senate candidate maybe in the country.
00:02:19.000So, I mean, Mitch McConnell months and months ago said that, I mean, basically that, oh, yeah, we're going to get involved.
00:02:26.000And then all of a sudden did nothing in Arizona.
00:02:29.000But the reason why this is important is because Mitch McConnell has been talking to donors for not just months, but years, saying, like, this is the biggest battle of our lifetime.
00:02:37.0002024, Republicans are going to mop the floor with Democrats on the Senate level.
00:02:42.000So this is the battle that's a great map.
00:02:47.000And he's been telling, and these people have been telling donors, like, oh, yeah, give me money as a leader so I can go help in the strategic areas.
00:02:56.000Well, there's not a more strategic area to fight in than Arizona.
00:03:00.000Arizona is the most strategic place, not just for 2022, which is the biggest battle in the Senate, but 2024, where, you know, it's argued, we've spent time on this.
00:03:11.000There's four states that matter for the presidency in 2024.
00:03:15.000And multiple of those states have Senate races again in them in 2024.
00:03:19.000And they have Senate races today in 2022.
00:03:22.000And we have to win and build the bench deep now.
00:03:25.000And this Blake Masters win, which is inevitable at this point.
00:03:30.000Look, the establishment doesn't want to wake up in January and have the grassroots say, you did nothing for us.
00:04:44.000You can't go around telling donors forever that you're going to fight in the most strategic places and be the smartest entity for spending money and then not spend the money when push comes to shove over leadership battles.
00:04:57.000And here's the facts: I have a lot of respect for the fights that happened in Washington, D.C. Leader McConnell did the right thing when it came to the Supreme Court battles.
00:05:10.000This is on the same scale as the Supreme Court battle.
00:05:14.000If we lose the Senate, we're going to be in a really bad position ahead of 2024.
00:05:19.000But I think there's some surprises, right?
00:05:56.000I know, but like, no, throughout the state, the vast majority of the state, even like deep into Milwaukee, you're like, man, this just feels like a Republican state.
00:07:32.000Too often, we find ourselves arguing about whether or not America is great or not, or whether we should be ashamed or whether we should love America.
00:07:41.000For too many years, too many of our schools have been neglecting to teach young people about our great heritage of liberty, presenting them instead a dishonest narrative of America as a fundamentally unjust or racist country.
00:07:52.000Hillsdale College is winning in for America, the wonderful Hillsdale College, by offering a free online course, such as The Great American Story, A Land of Hope, Constitution 101, The Meaning of a History of the Constitution.
00:08:04.000As we get closer to Constitution Day, September 17th, I encourage all of you to enroll in one of these wonderful free courses from Hillsdale.
00:08:11.000And even better, encourage your friends and family to sign up too.
00:08:14.000Begin your Hillsdale course today at charlie4hillsdale.com.
00:08:48.000To no great effect because we have a wide open southern border.
00:08:50.000So if that's the best you can do, I respectfully request you resign.
00:08:53.000Let's get someone in the seat who will actually secure our border.
00:08:57.000Mark Kelly, if this is the result of Senator Kelly being focused on the border, my gosh, he's the most ineffective and worst senator of all time.
00:09:04.000You or did you not vote to reject 18,000 more border patrol agents in the Inflation Reduction Act passage?
00:09:11.000He's the 50th vote in the U.S. Senate.
00:09:14.000Mark Kelly a year ago could have dug his heels in and said, Mr. President, I'm not supporting a single thing, not a single spending bill, not a single piece of your agenda.
00:09:23.000You never have to wonder which way Senator Kelly is going to vote because any spending bill that Biden puts in front of him, he will sign.
00:09:29.000So yeah, we got the Inflation Reduction Act, and Mark Kelly was the deciding vote.
00:09:48.000Let's be clear: the greatest threat to seniors' retirement today is the massive, crushing inflation that Joe Biden and Mark Kelly caused.
00:09:58.000He's called abortion demonic, a religious sacrifice.
00:10:02.000I don't even know what that means, folks.
00:10:04.000And the only countries in the whole world that support Senator Kelly's preferred no-limits extreme abortion policy are China and North Korea.
00:10:25.000If you watch some very critical people, we're like, oh my goodness, Blake Masters is the greatest Senate candidate we have in the Republican.
00:11:10.000And I mean, this tweet from Tom Bevin, who I consider to be a very fair-minded guy from Real Code Politics, it's over.
00:11:16.000I'm not sure how many people watched or will watch how much it will matter, but Masters was the clear winner of the debate.
00:11:23.000Kelly made his points on abortion and social security, but Masters simply crushed him on inflation and illegal immigration.
00:11:29.000I thought you made a really good point there where you were kind of in a very strategic way contrasting him with cinema.
00:11:37.000And again, we're no fans of cinema here, but you were saying he could have been like a cinema-esque figure and said, Biden, I'm not going to vote for anything if it wasn't for border security.
00:11:44.000Blake, I thought that was very effective.
00:12:52.000Well, yeah, Blake, I think you showed the clear contrast that he knows nothing about Arizona when it came to specific topics when he got off script about water issues.
00:13:03.000I thought that was so crazy last night.
00:13:05.000You had the libertarian, who is such a sham, saying that we shouldn't grow our own food basically in Arizona, which was the craziest thing I've ever heard come out of a libertarian's mouth that we shouldn't be self-reliant.
00:13:44.000But, you know, I thought the contrast was so clear with that.
00:13:47.000What are some of your thoughts on specifically these issues that are deep issues that are deep rooted in Arizona that Mark Kelly from Houston doesn't understand at all or seems to not understand at all as you as you took him down that path?
00:13:59.000Well, you know, we put him in a tough spot on the border.
00:14:02.000I asked him that very simple question: like, Senator Kelly, have you done everything in your power these last two years to secure the border?
00:14:10.000And I think it was a clever question, but it wasn't a gotcha question because it's just honest.
00:15:11.000His lack of understanding of the water issues in Arizona show you that he's really not a senator for Arizona because it's a massive crisis here, especially with the population growth.
00:17:24.000The Democrats are collapsing in front of our eyes.
00:17:26.000And Blake, I think you make a really smart point.
00:17:28.000Inflation is robbing security by another means because if the dollar weakens, then all of a sudden that $2,500 or $3,100 a month that seniors are living on, that purchasing power gets destroyed.
00:18:47.000That is preparewithkirk.com, preparewithkirk.com.
00:18:54.000And so you look at the top issues: inflation, crime, elections, and voting, jobs, unemployment, immigration infrastructure, abortion ranks one, two, three, four, five, six, seven on the list.
00:19:04.000You know, Mark Kelly really was, he wasn't able to give you an answer, Blake, was he, about how he decided not to vote for more Border Patrol agents.
00:20:13.000I think they're some of the best that have ever been really released amongst candidates with you and your family and your home.
00:20:20.000And all these series of ads, I think, really make it.
00:20:23.000I've had friends that are millennials, like we are, that are younger that have said, wow, that's actually made a difference.
00:20:31.000I think that message that you're delivering of, you know, what are we going to do?
00:20:35.000What are we going to tell our kids in 20 years when we look back and say we didn't fight for them?
00:20:42.000Can you give a little bit more depth to that, especially with this ad you're talking about with the border?
00:20:47.000Like what, yeah, talk a little bit to maybe some millennial families, you know, 30s and 40-year-olds that are maybe first-time voters really and paying attention to center races.
00:20:58.000Well, yeah, you know, I think most politicians just sound fake all the time, unfortunately, whether they're giving a stem speech or whether they're in your living room advertising on TV.
00:21:44.000But I feel like, no, I'm in touch with our generation, millennials, right?
00:21:49.000We have a long runway ahead in this country, but we're not children anymore.
00:21:52.000In fact, a lot of us are having children.
00:21:54.000And the problems that our families are facing because of Joe Biden, I mean, it just boils my blood.
00:22:00.000So it's a pleasure to get out there in the political arena, but also talk like a normal person and say, hi, I want my, water came up in the debate last night, right?
00:22:11.000I want my boys to be able to stay and choose to live in Arizona when they're my age in 30 years.
00:22:18.000And you get the sense that too many of our political leaders, they're just not even thinking about five years down the road, let alone 30 years, right?
00:22:25.000But when you have kids, it changes your time horizons.
00:22:30.000And so I think getting more young parents into politics would be a really good thing.
00:22:35.000And so we just try to show glimpses of our family life and talk honestly about the issues.
00:22:38.000And I'm glad to hear it's resonating with voters.
00:22:41.000Well, and I'll tell you, as a dad, of three kids too, similar to you, where it's just like, you know, we're just trying to get by, getting our kids taught and schooling them and taking them to practice and to getting dinner on the table every day.
00:22:55.000Yeah, this gas and groceries issue is number one for people our age.
00:23:02.000I mean, it's crazy that it was clear last night in the debate that Mark Kelly had no understanding of that at all.
00:23:09.000I'll say this, and Dennis Prager has been so helpful in this.
