00:03:50.000 We're going to have trial after trial after trial of the man leading in the polls to be the president of the most powerful nation in the in the country, while you've got Jack Smith and Merit Garland and Sanny Willis attempting to damage him.

00:04:10.000 So I would say, you know, in a word, 2023 was insanity and 2024 is going to make 23 look like a joke.
00:04:19.000 So I want to now transition to the Nikki Haley thing.

00:04:23.000 I visit Citizen Free Press multiple times a day.
00:04:26.000 So I'm kind of connected to what you're focusing on.

00:04:31.000 But I want to warn and caution our audience. 0.70
00:04:35.000 Nikki Haley is surging in some of these polls in New Hampshire and South Carolina.

00:04:42.000 Do not underestimate Nikki Haley, especially in the granite state, especially in some of these more moderate places.

00:04:54.000 The St. Anselm College Survey Center came out with a poll this last week that turned a lot of heads.
00:04:58.000 Trump 44, Haley 30.
00:05:01.000 That's not close, but it's a lot closer than this race has been all year. 0.58
00:05:04.000 And Haley's trajectory could put her in a competitive position by primary day.
00:05:08.000 When you break this poll down by party registration among Republicans, it's a much different race.
00:05:12.000 Trump at 56%, Haley at 22%.
00:05:15.000 No one else is close.
00:05:17.000 Now, that poll shows a big delta.
00:05:20.000 Newsweek, though, Nikki Haley closes the gap on Donald Trump.
00:05:23.000 Nikki Haley surges in poll, according to The Guardian, within four points of Republican leader Trump.
00:05:29.000 Now, these polls might be exaggerated, trying to create a race where there isn't one.
00:05:34.000 But Kane, for those of us that are teen MAGA, Team Trump, it would be a mistake for us to rest on our laurels, act like this thing is in the bag. 0.91
00:05:42.000 Nikki has a two-week window where she might surprise some people.
00:05:46.000 And even if she falls 10 points short, the media will say that that is a win.
00:05:50.000 Your thoughts, Citizen Kane.

00:05:54.000 So quickly, we'll go to the polls first.
00:05:56.000 As you said, they've been all over the map.
00:05:58.000 She is polling higher in New Hampshire than in any other state, obviously. 0.95
00:06:03.000 And lucky for her, South Carolina is probably where she's doing second best, and that follows New Hampshire.
00:06:09.000 So she's going to get a lot of positive press in the first months.
00:06:13.000 And you're absolutely correct that the media is going to blow it up, whether it's 10 points that she loses by a New Hampshire or 15 or even 20.
00:06:22.000 They're going to say that that's a strong showing, that it shows momentum from her candidacy.
00:06:28.000 And, you know, and we need to pay attention and be prepared for this and be prepared to fight back and explain to people that these are really anomalies associated, as you said, with New Hampshire, with South Carolina, and with some of the early more moderate states.
00:06:45.000 Overall, that Newsweek story that you mentioned, I've got it in the stack from last night.
00:06:50.000 And my headline is something about what a stupid headline from Newsweek, because they talk about her gaining, yet they point out in paragraph two that she's still losing to Trump 5113. 0.58
00:07:04.000 Now, she has passed, has passed DeSantis, who is apparently tied somehow with Chris Christie at 9%. 0.97
00:07:13.000 So in the national polls, Trump is still strong.
00:07:16.000 In the New Hampshire-specific polls, you nailed it.
00:07:21.000 There was one, I don't know, this has been a week maybe, that she was within three or four points.
00:07:27.000 But it turns out that polling group was probably pretty suspect.

00:07:32.000 And there was another New Hampshire poll that came out that showed Trump leading by over 20.
00:07:37.000 So we know that, you know, as you said, the polls are all over the map.
00:07:40.000 But yeah, we got to be prepared to race by expectations.
00:07:44.000 That's what I'm getting at, Kane.
00:07:45.000 Iowa, New Hampshire.
00:07:47.000 This is where I told the president this on the phone, and I've said it on the show.
00:07:52.000 Stop putting out these polls that show you up 71 points or whatever, right?
00:07:56.000 Because then if you win by 25, people are going to say that you're collapsing.
00:08:00.000 It's all about managing expectations.
00:08:01.000 Kane, your thought.
00:08:02.000 Yeah, no, that's a good interjection.
00:08:04.000 It absolutely is.
00:08:05.000 Just like Wall Street works by whether or not you beat expectations when you report your earnings, and that determines whether the stock goes up.

00:08:16.000 And that's a good point.
00:08:18.000 If Trump is constantly putting out these polls showing him leading by 50 or 60 and not explaining clearly that these are nationwide polls, he is a little bit setting himself up for this media attack when Nikki Haley only ends up losing by 15.
00:08:35.000 But it's, you know, look, it's going to coalesce, right?
00:08:38.000 If DeSantis may drop out after Iowa and New Hampshire, you may have Chris Christie says he will not drop out, but it's not going to be a clear, not every voter for DeSantis is going to go for Nikki Haley.
00:08:51.000 We've seen in certain polls that if DeSantis voters don't have DeSantis to choose from, most of them want Trump.
00:08:58.000 So it's not, you know, so I don't really believe that she's going to, that it's going to end up being, let's say, a 60-40 battle if she were the only candidate across all the primaries.

00:09:08.000 And I tweeted this back when Nikki announced back in February.
00:09:11.000 I said, quote, don't underestimate Nikki.
00:09:14.000 She's talented and ambitious. 1.00

00:09:20.000 And I used to be very friendly with Nikki.
00:09:22.000 We've kind of obviously grown apart now that we're in the midst of this primary, but don't underestimate her.

00:09:27.000 I know I have a minority opinion in the MAGA movement that she has surprised a lot of people.
00:09:32.000 If you study her South Carolina governor's races, and obviously I'm not supportive of her candidacy, I'm just talking factually here. 0.96
00:09:38.000 You look at her South Carolina governor's races, you look at her other opportunity, she has a way to scrap herself up to the top through hard work, through grit, through talent, through ambition, whatever you want to call it.

00:09:55.000 There's some very, very powerful people pumping money behind Nikki Haley right now.

00:10:15.000 I'm not sure what Ken Griffin is doing, but the Oracle guy, Larry Ellison, who I think wasted $40 million that could have been given to organizations like Turning Point USA, so that an actual ground effort, grassroots effort in the seven swing states, but instead they wasted that $40 million on Tim Scott.

00:10:40.000 This money is going to flow to Nikki Haley. 1.00

00:12:48.000 And this over Christmas, there was a chatter of who to be VP, and some people were pushing Nikki.

00:13:02.000 And what would your message be to President Trump if he was listening to his advisors about picking Nikki Haley as vice president?
00:13:12.000 My message would probably be what Tucker Carlson's message was at your MFES on stage last week, which I think he said he might actively campaign against that ticket.
00:13:23.000 He would actively campaign against President Trump if he chose Nikki Haley because she's so diametrically opposed to so much of what the MAGA base believes in.

00:13:34.000 I actually hadn't seen it until a couple of days ago when it was mentioned in a story that Trump at Mar-a-Lago had, or, you know, in a speech or a presentation with donors, he had sort of asked them about different candidates and brought up Nikki Haley and wondered what people thought.
00:13:53.000 And then, as you said, Don Jr. has been very public and very vocal about letting his dad know that Nikki Haley is a non-starter as vice president.
00:14:02.000 I would remind him that the base, that most of the things that Nikki Haley stands for, I mean, we've been able to show that she's open, you know, she succumbed to the transgender lobby in South Carolina, for example, on bathrooms and other issues.
00:14:18.000 Most of the cultural issues, most of the, you know, one of the things that we loved about Trump was he was the first president in 50 years to give the middle finger to China.
00:14:27.000 I've been waiting for that since business classes in college, for someone actually to have the guts.
00:14:32.000 And Nikki Haley would suck up to China just like just like Biden does.
00:14:37.000 So my message to Trump would be: stay with your base.

00:15:29.000 There are so many other better candidates from Josh Hawley to Vivek.
00:15:34.000 Vivek probably wouldn't take it.
00:15:36.000 He's a busy billionaire businessman, but there are so many other better candidates.
00:15:42.000 And let's hope it's not Nikki.
00:15:43.000 And look, I'm going to privately do everything I can to make sure Nikki Haley does not become vice president.
00:15:48.000 If this happened, it would be a real gut punch.
00:15:52.000 It would make, if Donald Trump were to pick Nikki Haley as vice president, it would be a lot of wind out of our sails.
00:15:59.000 I'll tell you, Kane, it would be hard to say with a straight face that President Trump would articulate an America first agenda because Nikki Haley's not America first, obviously.

00:28:08.000 President Trump is up five points, but we know that's not enough.
00:28:12.000 We have to be up by even bigger margins here in Arizona.
00:28:16.000 We need all hands on deck to get common sense solutions to the problems that we're all just dying to fix.
00:28:23.000 And we know that there's a problem because the Democrats are now starting to act like there's a problem on the border.
00:28:28.000 But we can't take their act where they say, okay, we're going to do something about the border and trust them.
00:28:34.000 As I've said, between these two, 10, 20 years combined in office, and they've done absolutely nothing except vote against border security, vote against strong energy policy, vote against proper education for our kids.

00:32:25.000 And this is why one of the policies I'm going to be pushing in the United States Senate is pushing to get more kids into skills training and career training where they don't end up $100,000 in debt and unemployable, where they actually end up with great skills.

00:32:48.000 So, Sir Kerry, I hate to put you on the spot here, but at AmericaFest, you were the number one write-in candidate for VP.
