00:00:00.000 Hey, everybody.
00:00:00.000 Today on the Charlie Kirk Show, an amazing messianic Jew rabbi talks about Israel and replacement theology.
00:00:07.000 And then Larry Elder talks about his new book, As Goes California, and refutes some of the racial lies of the left.
00:00:12.000 Email us as always, freedom at charliekirk.com and get involved with TurningPointUSA at tpusa.com.
00:00:19.000 Buckle up, everybody.
00:00:20.000 Here we go.
00:00:21.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:00:23.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.
00:00:25.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:00:28.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:00:32.000 I want to thank Charlie.
00:00:33.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:00:34.000 His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.
00:00:41.000 Turning point USA.
00:00:42.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:00:51.000 That's why we are here.
00:00:54.000 Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com.
00:01:03.000 We've spent a fair amount of time talking about how Israel is dividing the left and the Democrats.
00:01:10.000 I mentioned this briefly with the great Candace Owens yesterday, and you should check out our conversation, by the way, with Candace Owens.
00:01:17.000 And I said, Israel is also dividing the right.
00:01:20.000 I could go through many different examples of this.
00:01:24.000 Tucker Carlson is being called an anti-Semite in the New York Post.
00:01:29.000 Candace Owens is being called to resign by Ben Shapiro.
00:01:33.000 I have been attacked as an anti-Semite.
00:01:35.000 And still this morning, a great rabbi came out and defended me to his great credit.
00:01:40.000 I really appreciate it.
00:01:41.000 I'll read the tweet where he says I'm a great friend of the Jewish people, and I appreciate that.
00:01:45.000 So I want to focus on that.
00:01:47.000 How Israel is dividing the right.
00:01:50.000 I think it's breaking the left.
00:01:51.000 I think it's a much bigger issue on the left, much bigger.
00:01:53.000 They're going after the DNC.
00:01:55.000 They're primarying people on the squad, but it's still an issue on the right.
00:01:58.000 Joining us now is Rabbi Jason Sobel, author of FusionGlobal.org.
00:02:03.000 Rabbi, thank you so much for taking the time.
00:02:05.000 First, introduce yourself and what you do and what you believe.
00:02:10.000 Yeah, shalom.
00:02:11.000 It's great to be here with you.
00:02:12.000 And just before I even share that, I want to thank you personally as a Jewish follower of Jesus, as a rabbi of someone who has lost family in the Holocaust.
00:02:23.000 I want to appreciate, I appreciate your stand with Israel.
00:02:27.000 I'm an author.
00:02:28.000 I've written a number of books with Kathy Lee Gifford called The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi, Signs and Seeks with the Messiah, part of the Chosen TV series as a spiritual advisor.
00:02:40.000 But part of our passion is to connect the old and new Gentile and Jew.
00:02:44.000 I am Jewish, raised Jewish, but I am a Messianic Jew, a follower of Jesus.
00:02:48.000 Well, praise God.
00:02:49.000 Thank you.
00:02:50.000 And I want to have you on at a separate time to talk about that because I think that's amazing and praise God.
00:02:56.000 So, Rabbi, you're looking at this, I'm sure, on social media.
00:03:01.000 You're seeing how it's dividing the right.
00:03:03.000 It's dividing Christian circles.
00:03:05.000 I mean, Ben Shapiro got very upset that Candace Owens tweeted a Bible verse and he responded unfavorably towards that.
00:03:13.000 What's going on here, Rabbi?
00:03:16.000 You have a unique perspective.
00:03:17.000 Being a messianic Jew, you understand this situation, I think, better than most.
00:03:25.000 How do you view this?
00:03:26.000 Yeah, absolutely.
00:03:27.000 I think that the reality is, is that the Jewish community is very sensitive at the moment.
00:03:35.000 They feel under attack.
00:03:37.000 They feel under siege because of so much attack on the left.
00:03:41.000 I mean, even stuff that I have gotten on social media to supporting Israel.
00:03:46.000 So I think that sometimes there is an overreaction to even some of our friends like yourself when it comes to these matters.
00:03:57.000 There's a hypersensitivity at times, which sometimes can be unfortunate.
00:04:02.000 So, what is your advice then of how we heal this?
00:04:06.000 How can we be America first while also supporting Israel, our ally in the Middle East?
00:04:12.000 I think that's a great question.
00:04:13.000 I think the first thing we need to understand is that it's important to stand with Israel like you have, because, you know, we are a nation that's based on Judeo-Christian values.
00:04:25.000 It's the old and the new.
00:04:27.000 And once you attack those values, you undermine the very foundation, which is what's going on.
00:04:33.000 But I think there's something more.
00:04:35.000 You know, in the Sermon on the Mount, it says this: Jesus taught us these words.
00:04:41.000 He said, we need to pray for those who persecute us, and we need to love those who even hate us and bless those who curse us.
00:04:51.000 And I think there is a responsibility to show love and grace and pray to the other side for the other side.
00:05:00.000 And I think we need to be able to ask the tough questions without getting offended.
00:05:07.000 So I think there has to come in that spirit and that attitude, which is, I think, really significant.
00:05:12.000 And we have to look to bridge the divide and look at what unites us and not what separates us.
00:05:18.000 Yeah.
00:05:18.000 And so let's talk about this because the bond that Christians and Jews have together is beyond deep.
00:05:27.000 I mean, the Old Testament canon of Christianity is the Tanakh.
00:05:34.000 It is the divine word of God, and it is a shared story.
00:05:38.000 Talk about this, especially as we're in a time where radical Islamist and radical Marxist forces are coming after the values of the Torah, the values of Western society, the values of Christianity.
00:05:54.000 Talk about how we have to focus on what unites us against people that we share nothing in common.
00:06:00.000 Absolutely.
00:06:01.000 A house divided can't stand.
00:06:03.000 And one of the reasons why there is this desire to separate Jews and Christians is that because when Jews and Christians unite, we become an unstoppable force for global change and transformation in the world.
00:06:19.000 And part of what people need to understand is that we're trying to solve, we're trying to come up with political solutions to a spiritual problem, and you can't solve a spiritual problem with political solutions.
00:06:33.000 So the key is for Jews and Gentiles to unite, understanding the fact that what brings the radical left to unite with Islamism, which is crazy because they are antithetical to everything the left stands for, everything our nation stands for.
00:06:53.000 It's because they both hate the Judeo-Christian values and roots of our faith.
00:07:00.000 And if we don't unite at this moment in time, what's going to be lost is more than Israel.
00:07:05.000 It's going to be everything our nation stands for because they'll bring it here.
00:07:12.000 So, Rabbi, explain to our audience that might not be as educated or aware, how would you summarize Judeo-Christian values?
00:07:20.000 Yeah, I would summarize Judeo-Christian values as those biblical values rooted in the Ten Commandments, rooted in the exhortations of the prophets for morality and justice, also built on the teaching of Jesus and the New Testament that really laid the foundation of Western civilization and everything we know.
00:07:45.000 So, for example, we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all people are created equal, endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights.
00:07:54.000 That is not a doctrine found in Islam.
00:07:57.000 That is a doctrine found from the book of Genesis where God says he made us in his image and therefore it is wrong to murder and kill because we're actually damaging God and his image within us.
00:08:11.000 So these Western values of democracy, of freedom, of morality that our nation has been founded on, what has made us great, is rooted in the Old and New Testament, those Judeo-Christian values which gave birth to the Enlightenment and so many of the great things of Western civilization.
00:08:30.000 And I think it's important to also understand that America has been Israel's greatest friend, which we're so grateful for.
00:08:38.000 But I also think there's a promise that was given to Abraham in Genesis 12, where God says he will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel.
00:08:48.000 And I believe one of the reasons why America has been blessed is because they have been a blessing to Israel.
00:08:55.000 That is said repeatedly in Genesis 12, 3.
00:08:58.000 One of the first things that is said is that if you bless Israel, you will be blessed.
00:09:03.000 And if you curse, it's also repeated more explicitly in the book of Numbers as well.
00:09:08.000 Rabbi, how can people follow you, your work, your books?
00:09:11.000 Yeah, Rabbi Jason Sobel on any social media, fusionglobal.org.
00:09:17.000 And we have a new book called Signs and Secrets of the Messiah, a fresh look at the miracles of Jesus.

00:10:23.000 So, Rabbi, I want to ask you two questions.
00:10:25.000 The first of which, why is Israel in America's interest?
00:10:28.000 We get this question frequently.
00:10:30.000 A lot of people are war-weary.
00:10:31.000 They are America first.
00:10:33.000 How would you answer that question, Rabbi?
00:10:34.000 Yeah, absolutely.
00:10:35.000 First, we should put America first as a priority.
00:10:40.000 I mean, again, I'm grateful to the United States and everything that it's done for my family, for Israel.
00:10:47.000 But I also think we have to understand a couple of things.
00:10:49.000 One is approaching it from a spiritual perspective.
00:10:53.000 In the Bible, if we believe the Bible, if we think it's foundational to who we are as a nation and our values, as you mentioned before, God made promises of the land of Israel to the Jewish people.
00:11:08.000 In fact, Jesus was a Jew.
00:11:10.000 He is still a Jew.
00:11:13.000 He is the king of the Jews.
00:11:14.000 Salvation is of the Jews.
00:11:17.000 It all began in Israel.
00:11:18.000 It is all going to end in Israel.
00:11:21.000 And of course, it is going to be the center of the conflict because the scriptures has been clear from the very beginning.
00:11:29.000 So I think spiritually, from a biblical perspective, it's very important.
00:11:35.000 You can't be pro the Bible and anti-Israel when the Bible is very clear that Israel are the owners of the land and not the occupiers, according to some of the things that we're hearing out there from the other side.
00:11:52.000 I think so, spiritually it's very significant.
00:11:54.000 As we mentioned, there's a blessing for those who bless Israel.
00:11:58.000 But I also think there's something else.
00:12:00.000 You know, I think the United States and Israel is inextricably linked in the thoughts of the Islamists in the Arab world.
00:12:10.000 There is radical Islam on the rise.
00:12:14.000 And I believe radical Islam is a major threat to our nation, to the world, nations like Iran and others that surround them.
00:12:24.000 And Israel is a beacon of light and a line of first defense against those nations.
00:12:31.000 They call Israel the little Satan and America the great Satan.
00:12:35.000 So I think even from the perspective of defense, from the perspective of God's blessing and God's promises, from the perspective of the future of what's going to happen, from the perspective of, listen, I go to Israel a lot.
00:12:51.000 We do a lot of tours of Israel.
00:12:53.000 Christian and Muslim background believers in the Palestinian territories are persecuted for their faith and can't even go to Manger Square on Christmas because of the fact that you have these radical Muslims that attack them.
00:13:10.000 If we don't care about Israel, the history and legacy of Christianity will be lost and eradicated.
00:13:20.000 And we will lose the historical archaeological proof and evidence for the Bible.
00:13:25.000 That's the way that Christians will be massacred as a result of it.
00:13:30.000 That is 100% the strongest argument.
00:13:32.000 Let me ask you, this is a theological question.
00:13:34.000 Some of the disagreement amongst Christian circles comes down to this idea of replacement theology, which is that when Israel is mentioned, the church actually becomes new Israel.
00:13:46.000 This was mainline church doctrine for hundreds of years, and it is no longer in most evangelical circles.
00:13:55.000 Where do you fall on that?
00:13:56.000 What do you think the scriptures say about this idea of replacement theology?
00:14:01.000 Did the church replace Israel as we read the scriptures?
00:14:06.000 I think it's absolutely incorrect.
00:14:09.000 I think the Gentile followers of Jesus become partakers of God's promises to Israel through Abraham, but not overtakers of those promises.
00:14:20.000 And I think Paul makes this case in Romans 9, 10, and 11.
00:14:24.000 Romans 9, he talks about Israel's past riches.
00:14:27.000 Romans 10, he talks about their present unbelief.
00:14:30.000 He says, I wish, Paul says, I wish I could be cut off for their salvation.
00:14:34.000 In Romans 11, Paul lays out the greatest proof that God has not done with Israel.
00:14:39.000 He says, I am a believer in Jesus.
00:14:42.000 There's always been a remnant of Jews who have believed.
00:14:45.000 In the days of Elijah, he thought he was the only one.
00:14:48.000 He says, and ultimately, one day, all Israel will be saved in the end.
00:14:54.000 And then he even says, they are enemies for the sake of the gospels, but they are beloved for the sake of the patriarchs.
00:15:00.000 And he recognized that even when they don't believe, there's still a promise because of the covenant God made.
00:15:08.000 And all the first disciples, all the first apostles were Jewish.
00:15:12.000 I'm Jewish.
00:15:13.000 I followed Jesus.
00:15:14.000 And it's an example that God still has promises and will keep them.
00:15:18.000 Even in their unbelief, God still has promises to Israel that will ultimately be fulfilled.
00:15:23.000 Rabbi Jason Sobel, excellent work.
00:15:25.000 Thank you so much.
00:15:26.000 God bless you.
00:15:27.000 And Shabbat Shalom Baroch Hashem.
00:15:30.000 Shabbat Shalom Tadala El.
00:15:32.000 It's great being with you.
00:15:33.000 May God give you Rav Brachot.
00:15:35.000 Many blessings.
00:15:36.000 Thank you.
00:15:37.000 May God keep you.
00:15:39.000 It says in number six.
00:15:40.000 Thank you.
00:15:44.000 Herzog Foundation.
00:15:45.000 For years, I've been talking about our nation's public schools and how they've been captured by progressive ideologues, teaching things that directly contradict the values of American families.
00:15:56.000 That's especially true if you are a Christian family.

00:16:48.000 Joining us now is a good friend of mine and great patriot, Larry Elder.
00:16:53.000 As Goes California is his new book.
00:16:55.000 I love this topic.
00:16:56.000 I have a heart for California and I have a theory about it.
00:16:58.000 We'll talk about it.
00:16:59.000 My mission to rescue the golden state and save the nation.
00:17:02.000 Larry, welcome back.
00:17:04.000 I miss you on radio, but I'm glad this is where you are spending your time.
00:17:07.000 Tell us about your book.
00:17:08.000 Well, as you know, California is a magnificent state geographically, all four seasons.
00:17:13.000 You can go skiing and surfing in the same day, but the left-wing one-party politics state is doing the best it can to drive people out.
00:17:21.000 For the first time in the state's 170-year history, Charlie, 700,000 people have left in the last couple of years.
00:17:28.000 Crime, homelessness, schools are near the bottom.
00:17:30.000 And the number one reason that people cite for leaving California is they cannot afford the price of a home.
00:17:36.000 Average price of a home in California, as I point out in my book, As Goes California, 175% above the national average.
00:17:42.000 Why?
00:17:42.000 Because the Democrats are in bed with the environmentalists, and the environmentalists don't want anything built.
00:17:47.000 There's a law called the California Environmental Quality Act that pretty much allows anybody to stop anything for any reason.
00:17:53.000 Unions file lawsuits to stop developers from developing until they employ union labor, which means the costs higher.
00:18:00.000 NIMBYism people file because they're NIMBYs, and the environmentalists file because they don't want any land spoiled in the land that they live on.
00:18:07.000 So what's going on in California is we've had a nomination of Democrats for decades.
00:18:13.000 Super majority of Democrats in the Senate, super majority of Democrats at the Assembly.
00:18:17.000 So Republicans need not even show up for work.
00:18:19.000 Charlie, there hasn't been a statewide Republican elected in California in over 20 years.
00:18:24.000 As you know, I tried in 2021 during the recall election, lost it by about 20 points, assuming the election was fair.
00:18:32.000 And this is what's going on in this state.
00:18:33.000 Gavin Newsom wants to be president, I point out in my book.
00:18:37.000 And if you think about it, name the policy that Joe Biden has enacted, whether it's the debt forgiveness, whether it's the trillions of dollars of spending, whether it's a pullout of Afghanistan, whether it's open borders, name the policy that Gavin Newsom has objected to.
00:18:50.000 He hasn't objected to anything.
00:18:51.000 In fact, he effusively praised the way Joe Biden pulled out of Afghanistan.
00:18:55.000 So assuming somehow, some way it's not going to happen that we were to swap out Joe Biden for Gavin Newsom, what makes you think the country would be any better off as far as the borders are concerned?
00:19:05.000 Foreign policy is concerned.
00:19:07.000 He's a more extremist than Joe Biden is regarding climate change.
00:19:11.000 He wants to ban the sale of new gas-powered cars in California by 2035.
00:19:16.000 And in two days, by the way, after he issued that edict, he then issued an energy alert telling the 2.9% of people that do have EVs in California not to charge them during peak hours because it taxes the energy grid.
00:19:27.000 This is what's going on in the great state of California.
00:19:30.000 What people frequently say, Larry, and they live in the golden state, is, but what's the point?
00:19:34.000 I'm going to Phoenix.
00:19:36.000 I'm going to Reno.
00:19:37.000 I'm going to Court alone.
00:19:39.000 What is your case for why people should stay and fight?
00:19:43.000 They feel as if it's an unwinnable battle.
00:19:45.000 It's a one-party state.
00:19:47.000 Larry Elder, your response.
00:19:49.000 Well, the good news is that Gavin Newsom has never had lower poll numbers.
00:19:55.000 It just came out a few days ago.
00:19:57.000 These are the worst numbers he's ever had.
00:19:58.000 And the two reasons that people cite crime and homelessness.
00:20:02.000 California has around 12 or 13 percent of the nation's population, but about 30 percent of the homeless.
00:20:07.000 In the last few years, crime has gone up, depending upon the category, depending upon the city, while arrests have gone down because of the soft on crime policies that people like Gavin Newsom has pushed.
00:20:17.000 Now, the reason I mentioned the poll numbers is maybe, just maybe, Charlie, people are beginning to wake up.
00:20:22.000 Black third graders in California, 75% can neither read nor do math at grade level because of the way Gavin Newsom shut down California in a more draconian way than any of the other states.
00:20:34.000 Inner city kids have lost two years of in-school education.
00:20:37.000 They've already been behind.
00:20:38.000 That's going to translate into learning laws over their lives.
00:20:41.000 And this is the kind of stuff that's going on in California.
00:20:43.000 Gavin Newsom set up a panel for reparations.
00:20:46.000 He has signed a bill that mandates, I'm not kidding you, that every publicly held corporation in California, depending upon its size, has to have a member of the LGBTQIA plus on its board of directors.
00:20:59.000 This is what's going on in the state, and people are beginning to wake up.
00:21:03.000 Here's what often happens, though, Charlie.
00:21:05.000 You got people leaving some of the states that you just now mentioned, and they know they can't afford the price of a house, but they haven't connected the dots to the left-wing policies that have been killing housing units in California.
00:21:16.000 We have the worst per capita housing rate of all the 49 states.
00:21:22.000 We're 49th in terms of housing units per capita in America.
00:21:26.000 Only one state is worse than we are.
00:21:28.000 We're probably down about three or four million units that we otherwise would have if California were a rational state.
00:21:33.000 So people leave and they don't connect the dots between the policies that they've been voting for and once they left California.
00:21:39.000 So they go to Florida, they go to Texas, they go to Washington state, they go to Arizona, and they vote the same way they voted, which is why they left in the first place.
00:21:47.000 My book connects the dots.
00:21:49.000 So at least when you leave California, you'll know why you left California and you won't bring the same left-wing vote that you enacted when you were here in California.
00:21:58.000 As goes California, my mission to rescue the golden state and save the nation.
00:22:04.000 You know, Larry, the picture of California being a liberal state is true, but I will say, having traveled the country and spent a lot of time, the second most state I spend time in is California, Phoenix, Arizona being one.
00:22:16.000 And I have to say, there are still a lot of patriots in California.
00:22:21.000 There is a remnant in California that is unprecedented.
00:22:26.000 It is unparalleled in the whole country.
00:22:28.000 It's different than the remnant in the Northeast.
00:22:30.000 It is different than the remnant in Minnesota.
00:22:33.000 Talk about that, Larry.
00:22:34.000 It might only be 40%, but it is a fighting 40%.
00:22:39.000 It is.
00:22:39.000 I traveled up and down the state when I ran for governor in 2021, Charlie, and you ride through California in the middle of the state, all of a sudden, you see Trump signs everywhere.
00:22:48.000 You take away San Francisco, take away LA and parts of San Diego, and California is actually quite normal.
00:22:55.000 There are rational people.
00:22:56.000 This is a big agriculture state.
00:22:58.000 It used to be a big oil and gas state.
00:23:00.000 All of 10 of the major oil and gas companies used to be headquartered here in California.
00:23:04.000 We still do a lot of oil and gas work here in California.
00:23:06.000 But there are a lot of rational, normal people who are fed up.
00:23:10.000 When I ran for governor, I was drawing, according to security detail, Trump-like size crowds.
00:23:16.000 I raised $27 million in around eight weeks.
00:23:19.000 People really thought for a while that something might happen.
00:23:22.000 The recall was in the margin of error for a while.
00:23:25.000 And then in comes Joe Biden, in comes Kamala Harris, in comes Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and they all said the same thing.
00:23:34.000 Nobody said Gavin Newsom is doing a great job in the way he shut down the state in a more severe way than anybody else.
00:23:39.000 Gavin Newsom is doing a great job on crime on schools.
00:23:42.000 All said, wait for it, stop the Republican takeover, because Californias have been indoctrinated to believe, no matter how bad things are, the actively Republicans would be worse.
00:23:51.000 And that prevailed here in California.
00:23:53.000 Yeah, I mean look, it's liberal politically, but it's not as left-wing as people think.
00:23:58.000 Now, mind you, i'm not recommending any sort of policy change, but if you were to just remove San Francisco and La, the country's a I mean, the state is a right-wing state.
00:24:07.000 Now again that those are big centers.
00:24:09.000 So let me one of the things that just infuriated me recently, Larry, is this cut?
00:24:14.000 I want to find this here.
00:24:16.000 It's uh, mr Newslini who again, I think you did a mitzvah for the entire movement.
00:24:21.000 Larry, you got under his skin, you made him spend a hundred million dollars.
00:24:25.000 You did, you did wonderful, listen to this.
00:24:28.000 200 million dollars.
00:24:29.000 Even better than that was uh, pre-inflation dollars.
00:24:33.000 Gavin Newsom bragging that we can clean up the streets.
00:24:35.000 It's true, because it's true.
00:24:37.000 This is, this is so insulting.
00:24:41.000 Yeah, I mean, Xi Jinping comes, we can clean up the streets.
00:24:44.000 They can do it if they want.
00:24:47.000 Vagrancy homelessness, defecation and crime is a choice.
00:24:51.000 Let me say that again, they are making a choice, play cut six.
00:24:57.000 I know folks say oh, they're just cleaning up this place because all those fancy leaders are coming into town.
00:25:03.000 That's true.
00:25:05.000 Because it's true, but it's also true.
00:25:08.000 For months and months and months, prior to APEC, we've been having different conversations, one of my least favorite things.
00:25:16.000 They say, well, you know, we need to have conversations.
00:25:18.000 Larry Elder.
00:25:19.000 Respond to Nussalini.
00:25:21.000 Well, you heard him say that it is true that we're cleaning up because the premier, the dictator from China, is here, which means, when all they've been talking about the inability to figure out how to handle this problem, they can solve it if they choose to.
00:25:36.000 One of the reasons we have this problem is that Gavin Newsom in 2011 said, come on down to California.
00:25:41.000 If you're homeless, come on.
00:25:42.000 People don't have any resources.
00:25:44.000 Come on.
00:25:44.000 Don't have any human capital, come on, we're the golden state.
00:25:47.000 Come on to California, come on down.
00:25:49.000 So he is, in part, why we have the problem.
00:25:52.000 He was the mayor of San Francisco Charlie, for two terms and he said, by the end of his second term, he was going to solve the homeless problem in the Bay Area.
00:25:59.000 Have you been there recently?
00:26:01.000 He spent eight years as lieutenant governor of California and sat around pounding the table saying he had nothing to do when I said, how about going back to San Francisco and completing the job on homelessness that you promised?
00:26:11.000 This is a guy that can do something about this.
00:26:13.000 When I ran for governor, I consulted with Dr. Ben Carson, Trump's hub secretary, and he said that he and the mayor of LA, a Democrat, had already agreed on a plan, because California the federal government is the largest landowner in California, as it is, I think, in almost every state, and there were large areas of land where low-cost housing could be built, because they wouldn't be subjected to the rules and regulations of local California laws and they would have had this problem solved.
00:26:39.000 When Donald Trump did not get re-elected, Dr. Carlson said the whole thing dead, stopped in its tracks, but this can be solved.
00:26:46.000 If the will is there, it can be solved, and that's what's so frustrating.
00:26:50.000 He's acknowledging, yeah, we could do it.
00:26:52.000 Of course we can.
00:26:52.000 We just don't want to.
00:26:55.000 And, by the way, I ran into a guy just the other day, right before the dick paper from China came.
00:27:02.000 He is a owner of a large company in California that makes and installs fences and gates.
00:27:08.000 He was hired by the San Francisco to install fencing around this homeless area.
00:27:13.000 And I asked him what happened to the homeless people.
00:27:15.000 He said, I have no idea.
00:27:16.000 It wasn't my job to relocate.
00:27:18.000 It was my job just to put up the fencing.
00:27:19.000 And he said that the fencing job should have cost the taxpayers $200,000.
00:27:24.000 But because they're forcing to use union labor and a bunch of other unnecessary rules and regulations, this guy said the job costs the taxpayers in California $5 million.
00:27:35.000 That's why the homeless problem has not been solved.
00:27:37.000 Whenever they build a unit, it's substantially higher than it would be if the private sector were doing it on non-expensive land.
00:27:46.000 I think this is the right cut, guys, isn't it?
00:27:48.000 Larry, I want you to respond.
00:27:50.000 So, you know, I got this boomer Marxist that asked me questions at UCLA all about race.
00:27:56.000 And there is no one better than Larry Elder to respond.
00:27:59.000 So I want you to listen to this old fool, and then I want you to respond because I know you've heard all this stuff before.
00:28:07.000 It starts with my question, but then he asks his question.
00:28:10.000 So just listen carefully to this boomer Marxist play cut 139.
00:28:15.000 All right, you guys want to talk about that?
00:28:17.000 Why don't you go to the one thing that could actually solve black poverty that works in the Asian community, in the Jewish community, in the Vietnamese community, every community, which is dads stay around.
00:28:29.000 I think that you're pointing to the wrong cause of that in many cases.
00:28:34.000 What is the cause?
00:28:36.000 I believe that there's systemic racism in this society that causes some of it.
00:28:41.000 Not all of it.
00:28:42.000 Not all of it.
00:28:43.000 Okay.
00:28:44.000 I'll give you an example.
00:28:45.000 I'll give you some.
00:28:47.000 What can I do that a black person can't do?
00:28:50.000 When an African-American defendant comes in front of a judge, they are less likely to be able to plead down their case from a felony to a misdemeanor.
00:28:58.000 Larry Elder, your response.
00:29:00.000 I don't know where you start with that.
00:29:02.000 The breakdown of the family, particularly in the black community, is an absolute horror show.
00:29:08.000 It's one of the reasons I ran for president.
00:29:10.000 I told Donald Trump that a black male aged 10 to 43 is 13 times more likely to be murdered than a white male same demo.
00:29:18.000 He was shocked by that.
00:29:20.000 He said, what's your source?
00:29:21.000 I said, Center for Disease Control.
00:29:22.000 Have you heard of it?
00:29:23.000 He started laughing.
00:29:24.000 70% of black kids today enter the world without a father in the home married to the mother, up from 25% back in 1965.
00:29:30.000 Now, 25% of white kids enter the world without a father in the home married to the mother.
00:29:34.000 And the stats are clear.
00:29:36.000 Even Barack Obama once quoted it.
00:29:38.000 A kid raised without a father is five times more likely to be poor and commit crime, nine times more likely to drop out of school, and 20 times more likely to end up in jail.
00:29:46.000 What's happened?
00:29:47.000 Lyndon Johnson, a Democrat, in the mid-60s, launched a so-called war on poverty.
00:29:51.000 And since then, we have incentivized women to marry the government and incentivize men to abandon their moral and financial responsibility.
00:29:58.000 Now, 40% of all kids in America enter the world without a father in the home married to the mother.
00:30:02.000 And nobody, but nobody wants to talk about it.
00:30:04.000 When they do, they talk about systemic racism.
00:30:06.000 Let's talk about that.
00:30:07.000 1940, 87% of blacks lived under the poverty line.
00:30:12.000 1940, of course, Jim Crow before Brown versus Board of Education, before the Civil Rights Act, before any of that stuff.
00:30:17.000 America was clearly far more racist then than it is right now.
00:30:20.000 Fast forward, Charlie, 20 years later, 1960, that number had fallen to 47%.
00:30:25.000 A 40-point reduction in poverty in 20 years, the greatest 20-year period of economic expansion in the history of blacks in America.
00:30:32.000 Why?
00:30:33.000 Because it was rare for a kid to be born without a father in the home married to the mother.
00:30:38.000 An embracement of Judeo-Christian values, a belief in patriotism, even as America was not applying those values, and a strong belief in entrepreneurship, all of which right now are under assault by organizations like Black Lives Matter.
00:30:50.000 On their website, they attack a nuclear family.
00:30:52.000 The founders are self-described trained Marxists.
00:30:54.000 Marx was an atheist who wanted to dethrone God, who hated capitalism.
00:30:59.000 And obviously, they're not in favor of American patriotic values.
00:31:02.000 80% of Black people support Black Lives Matter.
00:31:05.000 So the very things that allow Black people to continue moving forward in the face of horrific, hideous racism are now all under attack right now by organizations like Black Lives Matter.
00:31:15.000 And you get some guy like Joe Biden.
00:31:18.000 I used to say that Louis Farrakhan and Al Sharp and Charlie were the biggest race hustlers in America.
00:31:23.000 It is now Joe Biden.
00:31:24.000 He goes to Howard University, says to these kids who are graduating, the number one cause of problems for the homeland is white supremacy.
00:31:32.000 Are you kidding me?
00:31:33.000 The Anti-Defamation League keeps track of how many people are killed every year by political extremists.
00:31:38.000 Last year, they're around 20 to 25 out of the 20,000 people that were homicide victims.
00:31:42.000 You want to play that game?
00:31:44.000 Most homicide, Charlie, is same-race homicide.
00:31:46.000 Most whites who are killed are killed by other whites.
00:31:48.000 Most blacks who are killed are killed by other blacks.
00:31:50.000 However, every year, out of the 20,000 some-odd homicides, there are 750 black, white homicides.
00:31:56.000 500 white people killed by blacks, even though blacks are just 13% of the population.
00:32:01.000 250 blacks are killed by whites, even though whites are 60% of the population.
00:32:05.000 Now, that's homicide.
00:32:06.000 Look at violent non-homicide crime between blacks and whites.
00:32:09.000 Every year, roughly 600,000 such instances.
00:32:12.000 85 to 90% black per white victim, only 10 to 15% the other way around.
00:32:16.000 Now, Donald Trump went to a university and said the number one threat to the homeland was black supremacy.
00:32:21.000 You and I would both denounce him as a race hustling demagogue.
00:32:24.000 But Biden does it.
00:32:25.000 It is not a problem.
00:32:27.000 Jacksonville, Florida, after Biden made the comment at Howard University, some white race, white racists killed three black people.
00:32:35.000 And Biden mentioned it and said, silence is, if you're silent right now, you're being complicit.
00:32:39.000 Two months earlier, black guy wasted two white guys.
00:32:42.000 He doesn't know.
00:32:43.000 Says he killed him because he was white.
00:32:44.000 Biden did not say one word because it didn't drive the narrative.
00:32:48.000 Larry Elder, everybody, as goes California.
00:32:50.000 That was special.
00:32:51.000 We are going to clip that up and put it on social media.
00:32:52.000 God bless you, my friend.
00:32:53.000 Come on anytime.
00:32:54.000 Thank you.
00:32:55.000 Thank you.
