00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:00:02.000 Andrew Colvett in for Charlie Kirk, who's on assignment at UNLV today.
00:00:06.000 We have a action-packed hour.
00:00:09.000 We detail everything that happened at the University of Memphis last night.
00:00:13.000 It was going viral everywhere.
00:00:15.000 And so we talk through it, what actually happened with the university, how they sabotaged the event in many ways, at least appears to be so.
00:00:23.000 And then we have Charlie come in to give his exclusive reaction to the events that unfolded at the University of Memphis and Kyle Rittenhouse.
00:00:31.000 Lots to unpack and discuss.
00:00:32.000 Don't go anywhere.
00:00:33.000 You're not going to want to miss it.
00:00:34.000 Buckle up.
00:00:35.000 Here we go.
00:00:36.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:00:38.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.
00:00:40.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:00:43.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:00:46.000 I want to thank Charlie.
00:00:47.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:00:48.000 His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.
00:00:57.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:01:06.000 That's why we are here.

00:01:35.000 This is Andrew Colvett.
00:01:36.000 Honored to be with you today, the executive producer of this fine show and sometimes guest host when Charlie's on assignment, which he is today at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
00:01:45.000 He's going to be doing another tabling event on campus, answering the crazy questions from the lefty students.
00:01:52.000 And by the way, there's a ton of support when Charlie goes out there.
00:01:55.000 That's something I want to make very clear to the audience.
00:01:57.000 You know, I see some people tweeting in the aftermath of last night's craziness with Kyle Rittenhouse that they somehow think that there's no support on these campuses for conservatives.
00:02:08.000 That is totally not true.
00:02:11.000 There is a ton of support when Charlie goes to these campuses.
00:02:14.000 I would say it's probably about 60, 70% supporters, actually, and about 30% people or 40% people that disagree or want to ask questions, some protesters, of course.
00:02:23.000 It all makes for a very lively experience, to say the least.
00:02:28.000 But what happened last night at the University of Memphis is an absolute disgrace that didn't have to happen, especially the way it went down.
00:02:37.000 It did not have to happen.
00:02:39.000 And I'm going to tell you all about it because I was in the middle of it last night dealing with press and dealing with the school and dealing with the campus chapters.
00:02:47.000 It was nuts.
00:02:49.000 And I would say it was unprecedented in the history of Turning Point USA of all its campus organizing.
00:02:55.000 Last night was unprecedented.
00:02:57.000 What they had to deal with, what our brave students had to deal with, what the campus chapter and the field staff had to deal with, and what Kyle Rittenhouse had to deal with at the University of Memphis, which just boggles the mind on some level because it's in a red state in a really red state in Tennessee.
00:03:12.000 And yet a lot of people in the comments were saying, don't, you know, don't lump Memphis in with us in Tennessee.
00:03:17.000 It's like its own thing.
00:03:18.000 It's not part of Tennessee.
00:03:20.000 Don't smear the Tennessee name with Memphis, which is incredible because it is in Tennessee.
00:03:27.000 And last year, there was 398 homicides in Memphis.
00:03:31.000 It's a huge number per capita.
00:03:34.000 And it was a record-breaking year for Memphis.
00:03:36.000 And yet, local activists, BLM activists are not worried about crime in the urban core of that community.
00:03:44.000 They're worried about Kyle Rittenhouse.
00:03:46.000 They're worried about Turning Point USA.
00:03:49.000 So let me tell you exactly what happened.
00:03:51.000 People think that we sort of engineer these things from the top of Turning Point USA, these events.
00:03:56.000 That's not true.
00:03:58.000 What happens is local chapters submit requests for grants to host speakers at their local chapters.
00:04:06.000 They come up with all kinds of names.
00:04:08.000 There are events going on all across the country at TPUSA chapters at different schools that nobody ever hears about because they don't turn into big, you know, chaotic scenes like what unfolded last night in Memphis.
00:04:21.000 They request the speaker.
00:04:24.000 We're allowed to sort of vet some, sure, but we try and give wide birth to these chapters at Turning Point USA so that they're able to feel like they have some autonomy, that they have some control.
00:04:35.000 A bunch of schools have requested Kyle Rittenhouse.
00:04:37.000 He came out with a book, and a couple of them have already happened.
00:04:41.000 As a matter of fact, you didn't hear about them because they happened in sane places.
00:04:44.000 Memphis, unfortunately, is not a sane place.
00:04:48.000 At least it's full of insane people.
00:04:51.000 And I'm sure there are some great people in Memphis, of course, as well.
00:04:55.000 And a lot of them wanted to come out to this event.
00:04:58.000 So we put out this event, promoted it, marketed at the local level.
00:05:01.000 The staff does a great job with this.
00:05:04.000 And apparently, 15,000 tickets were attempted to be reserved.
00:05:08.000 Now, obviously, we can't put 15,000 people at these events.
00:05:12.000 So there's a whole process that then ensues to make sure: A, you're not, it's not a bot.
00:05:17.000 B, you're not somebody coming in bad faith, that these are actually students that get the priority that want to hear somebody like Kyle speak.
00:05:24.000 Kyle is not an employee of Turning Point USA.
00:05:26.000 He doesn't work for Turning Point USA.
00:05:28.000 He's somebody that our chapter requested come and speak.
00:05:32.000 So the university was getting a lot of local pressure from local activists.
00:05:38.000 And, you know, you need to cancel this event, you know, racism, all this stuff.
00:05:43.000 Newsflash.
00:05:44.000 Kyle shot three white people in Kenosha.
00:05:48.000 And there was no black people involved.
00:05:51.000 But they so badly want to attach this to him that the BLM activists, local agitators, left-wingers made it all about that.
00:05:58.000 And what they ended up doing, the school ended up on the day of, and this is completely unprecedented, forcing our local chapter and our field team to change the ticketing system.
00:06:08.000 Now, let me reiterate: we have a very elaborate and sophisticated ticketing system to ensure that it's good faith people that are allowed to come to the events, people that actually want to hear and engage and, yeah, debate.
00:06:19.000 And if you, if you have a difference of opinion, you get to come to the front of the line if you're doing it in good faith, not if you're trying to shout down our people, not if you're trying to stage a walkout protest.
00:06:29.000 So the morning of, they forced a ticketing change.
00:06:32.000 And their stated reason, they wanted to ensure that the ticketing was fair and equitable, fair and equitable.
00:06:42.000 Now, these protesting groups, these agitators have their own group chats.
00:06:47.000 Well, our savvy little students, not little, but our savvy students at Turning Point USA are in those group chats.
00:06:54.000 And so early yesterday morning, when the school told them they had to put out this new ticketing system and get people to reapply for tickets.
00:07:02.000 So if you had the thousands of people that had attempted to get tickets, you were no longer, those were no longer valid requests.
00:07:10.000 And if we had emailed you and told you that you were approved for your ticket, that was no longer valid either.
00:07:15.000 You had to go through a new ticketing system the day of the event.
00:07:19.000 Well, guess what?
00:07:20.000 In those agitator, left-wing group chats, they knew exactly when the link was going to go live.
00:07:26.000 Somebody had tipped off the agitators to scoop up all the tickets.
00:07:31.000 So they had been tipped off.
00:07:32.000 And guess what?
00:07:33.000 They scooped up all the tickets.
00:07:35.000 And their express stated reason was to stage a walkout to disrupt the event.
00:07:42.000 Never in the history of Turning Point USA campus activism and organizing has that happened.
00:07:48.000 So certainly we knew it was going to be a little bit crazy.
00:07:52.000 Next thing we know, the school then tells the local chapter, we're not going to stop anybody if they're shouting.
00:07:59.000 Yeah, there'll be police there, but they're going to be shouting, and we can't do anything about it.
00:08:03.000 And oh, and by the way, we know you said you had 50 seats that were reserved and you were going to put people in 50 specific seats.
00:08:11.000 We can't do that anymore.
00:08:12.000 You get eight.
00:08:13.000 Oh, and these agitators, as soon as they came in, they actually started reserving their own seats and taping the names of the legal defense team that defended Kyle when he was acquitted.
00:08:28.000 So he started taping the names of seats of his lawyers.
00:08:31.000 That's how insane it got.
00:08:34.000 So Kyle did his best.
00:08:36.000 He showed up at an event that was totally rigged against him from the jump.
00:08:40.000 And he took questions.
00:08:42.000 He got shouted down.
00:08:44.000 You know, but we're going to play the tape.
00:08:45.000 We're going to play the tape.
00:08:46.000 Cut 88.
00:08:47.000 Go ahead and play cut 88.
00:09:00.000 That's a mass group of people that are storming out of the Rittenhouse speech, chasing people down outside of a parking garage.
00:09:09.000 It really is amazing that nobody got hurt last night.
00:09:12.000 Let's go ahead and play Cut 90.
00:09:14.000 This is just students screaming at Kyle Weiss trying to answer a question inside the venue last night.
00:09:18.000 Cut 90.
00:09:19.000 But on August 25th, I was violently attacked by a mob of rioters.
00:09:27.000 Thank you.
00:09:27.000 Thank you.
00:09:28.000 Thank you very much.
00:09:29.000 Wonderful drive you guys have here.
00:09:31.000 Very profitable, very respectful.
00:09:34.000 Thank you.
00:09:36.000 You know what was amazing about this, actually, to me, was that there was still that Black Lives Matter is still a thing.
00:09:42.000 After they've been disgraced, after their founders have been proven to be frauds, after they've fleeced money from thousands, if not millions of donors, that there's still people in Memphis that are wearing BLM shirts.
00:09:56.000 The organization that betrayed black people, you're still wearing BLM shirts.
00:10:02.000 It's a remarkable, remarkable sociological observation.
00:10:09.000 You know, it takes a long time for these messages to get through.
00:10:13.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:10:15.000 We're all getting the sense that we're being lied to.
00:10:17.000 Well, that's because we are.
00:10:18.000 Suspicious events are unfolding.
00:10:19.000 Even worse, it's hard to believe what anyone has to say about it.
00:10:22.000 And we all know the mainstream media has their own agenda.
00:10:26.000 That's why you need to trust your gut and take action.

00:11:16.000 So, so really what this comes down to, folks, and I do want to play a few more pieces of tape here, but what this comes down to is essentially a lawless, chaotic city in the midst of an otherwise really pretty well-functioning state, pretty safe state.
00:11:32.000 And that, you know, honestly, just makes me really sad.
00:11:35.000 But all this started because the administration was pandering to petulant children.
00:11:40.000 There was local politicians that were saying, you got to cancel this event.
00:11:43.000 And the school said, well, we have to uphold the First Amendment.
00:11:46.000 Well, that all sounds really nice in theory if you're going to allow the event to go on and not cancel it.
00:11:51.000 But when you do everything you can in your power to essentially hamstring an event, to overwhelm it with protesters, to tell the protesters in advance, we're not going to do anything to stop you, and then you aid and abet the protesters, which is an open question.
00:12:05.000 Did the administration leak the details of this new ticketing system to the protesters in advance?
00:12:11.000 Were they the ones that did it?
00:12:12.000 Are they in these group chats?
00:12:14.000 Are they protesters themselves?
00:12:16.000 These are serious questions that the state of Tennessee should investigate.
00:12:19.000 Lawmakers should investigate what happened at University of Memphis last night.
00:12:24.000 Because it's unacceptable.
00:12:25.000 Somebody could have got seriously hurt by empowering these agitators, by refusing to secure the situation, by refusing to remove agitators when they were disrupting events.
00:12:41.000 The event was ready to go.
00:12:44.000 And by the way, we had so many people in good faith that wanted to come to this event.
00:12:47.000 We were begging for a larger venue, and the University of Memphis refused.
00:12:51.000 They refused to do overflow rooms.
00:12:52.000 They refused to do a bigger venue.
00:12:55.000 They capped the event at 330 people.
00:12:58.000 We could have easily packed out 2,000 people at this event, maybe 3,000.
00:13:02.000 And they all would have been good faith.
00:13:04.000 Yeah, sure, there would have been a couple protesters.
00:13:06.000 That's fine.
00:13:07.000 That's fine.
00:13:08.000 As long as you're respectful, we don't care.
00:13:10.000 That's part of what this is.
00:13:12.000 But I knew this event was going to get going to get rowdy right when I saw this clip.
00:13:17.000 96.
00:13:18.000 Go ahead and play it.
00:13:26.000 So what that clip is, for those of you, we had to blur out a bunch of the words, obviously.
00:13:32.000 They were saying lock his AS up and then F his A up.
00:13:39.000 So they transitioned towards the end to F is A up.
00:13:42.000 And they're talking obviously about Kyle Rittenhouse.
00:13:45.000 And then go ahead, one more clip, 97.
00:13:56.000 Like, I don't even understand what's going on there.
00:13:59.000 What happened was that was after the event, and people are running, mass hysteria, cats and dogs living together.
00:14:06.000 You know, all hell's breaking loose.
00:14:08.000 I have no idea what actually inspired that particular moment.
00:14:12.000 But what happened was Kyle went to the event.
00:14:15.000 A bunch of them staged a walkout.
00:14:17.000 They shouted him down.
00:14:18.000 He took questions bravely.
00:14:20.000 He stared down the crowd.
00:14:21.000 That's what he's good at for at least 30, 45 minutes.
00:14:26.000 He said, this is going to be the last question.
00:14:28.000 He answered the last question, and then he left.
00:14:32.000 And then what he did is he went to a private room with a bunch of our Turning Point USA students and staff and hung out with them for two hours and answered all of their questions, took pictures with them, and then he left peacefully.
00:14:44.000 So I don't even know what was going on outside.
00:14:46.000 I don't know what they were running around doing.
00:14:49.000 But a total, total breach of trust, of order, of civilized gathering in peaceful assembly by the University of Memphis.
00:15:02.000 They should be ashamed of themselves.
00:15:04.000 They should be investigated.
00:15:05.000 Did they leak this information to protesters intentionally to sabotage this event?
00:15:09.000 Completely unprecedented in the history of Turning Point USA campus events and organizing and a total disgrace to the state of Tennessee.
00:15:17.000 Whatever's going on in Memphis, it's completely out of control.
00:15:22.000 And frankly, it needs to stop.
00:15:25.000 They pandered to petulant children who intentionally sabotaged an event, a legal event with somebody who'd been acquitted by a jury of his peers, who did not shoot black people, who shot a pedophile and an abuser, and he was acquitted.
00:15:43.000 He's a free man.
00:15:44.000 He gets to tell a story of what happened to him.
00:15:47.000 And instead, anarchy ensues.
00:15:50.000 Why?
00:15:51.000 Because of the same failed left-wing pandering BS that so many big cities are suffering under today.
00:16:00.000 What kind of civilization do you want?
00:16:01.000 Do you want clean streets and safety and rule of law?
00:16:06.000 Or do you want chaos?
00:16:08.000 Do you want to pander to the petulant anarchists that want to ruin our cities?
00:16:14.000 After a long day, no one wants to spend an hour in the kitchen making dinner.
00:16:18.000 Well, how about quick and easy barbecue?
00:16:20.000 No, not takeout.
00:16:21.000 I'm talking juicy steaks, succulent chicken or fish, and healthy grilled veggies cooked on your own Soler infrared gas grill.
00:16:28.000 Soler grills are the hot, fast grills that heat up to 1,000 degrees in just three minutes, even in the dead of winter, and that heat locks in juices and flavors and grills your food faster.

00:17:20.000 Charlie Kirk is on the line.
00:17:22.000 Charlie, welcome to your show.
00:17:25.000 It's good to keep doing this.
00:17:26.000 You know, I was listening to the open and you did terrific and head into UNLV today, the home state of your home state of Nevada.
00:17:34.000 And that's going to be, I think it's going to be mostly peaceful.
00:17:37.000 I don't know if it'll be like Memphis with Kyle Rittenhouse, but UNLV, it's a very liberal place, and Nevada is the place we need to be.
00:17:44.000 So thanks for filling in.
00:17:45.000 I'm about to hit the campus soon.
00:17:47.000 Yeah, absolutely.
00:17:48.000 I mean, Charlie, I mean, you have not really chimed in too much about this.
00:17:51.000 You had some tweets about it.
00:17:54.000 You know, what is your initial reaction to what you saw take place last night with Kyle Rittenhouse at University of Memphis?
00:18:01.000 Yeah, my take's a little different, not different, but just I'm used to this.
00:18:07.000 I mean, I've been doing this for 10 years.
00:18:09.000 I've seen this sort of behavior so often that this doesn't shock me or surprise me.
00:18:14.000 I mean, we haven't seen this for a little while at Turning Point USA.
00:18:17.000 We haven't seen this kind of where they hunt you down in the streets and they blockade staffers from leaving and they dox the personal information of individual students.
00:18:25.000 But we have experienced very similar instances like this.
00:18:29.000 Remember last year at University of California at Davis, where I went and spoke there and four people were arrested and they had hundreds of protesters and they were breaking windows and they were trying to get into the event center.
00:18:41.000 And so this is chilling stuff.
00:18:43.000 And the deeper question is, did the university collude with these activists?
00:18:48.000 Because the university has to be neutral.
00:18:50.000 The university is not allowed to favor one activist group over the other.
00:18:54.000 The university is not allowed to give preferential or special treatment to one group or the other.
00:18:59.000 And they might have opened themselves up to a huge lawsuit and how they handled stuff.
00:19:04.000 But even beyond that, it goes to show like, wait, what is the big issue you have with Kyle Rittenhouse exactly?
00:19:10.000 And, you know, they said, oh, it's BLM protesting.
00:19:12.000 And he said, well, Kyle Rittenhouse defended himself against people that were trying to harm him.
00:19:18.000 And he went through a very public, very intense trial and was acquitted on all accounts.
00:19:25.000 And so it's really remarkable how they pick their targets and why they pick them.
00:19:31.000 And look, Memphis is the, I don't know if you covered this.
00:19:34.000 I might have missed this.
00:19:35.000 Memphis is a very dangerous city.
00:19:38.000 It is one of the more murderous cities in the country.
00:19:40.000 It is one of the least safe cities in the country.
00:19:43.000 And it's remarkable to me that in Memphis, what gets the students fired up?
00:19:47.000 Is it, you know, the kids that are getting shot on their way to work?
00:19:50.000 Is it the terrible gang violence?
00:19:53.000 Is it that one poor teacher jogger?
00:19:55.000 Do you remember that story a year and a half, two years ago where that teacher was jogging really early in the morning and she was hunted down?
00:20:02.000 Did that receive this sort of condemnation and these sort of protests?
00:20:06.000 No, almost assuredly not.
00:20:08.000 Instead, it's a guest speaker on a college campus that gets the entire campus to get basically put into a war zone.
00:20:16.000 A lot of people are texting me.
00:20:17.000 They said, wow, thank you so much for hosting Kyle and for the courage to do this.
00:20:21.000 And Andrew, you could tell, it's like we never even wavered a second.
00:20:24.000 We never even thought twice about it.
00:20:25.000 It's like, yeah, our students wanted to host him.
00:20:27.000 We have our students back 100%.
00:20:29.000 Kyle is a decent and a good person.
00:20:31.000 And he's here to tell his story and here's to speak out.
00:20:34.000 And look at the response he received.
00:20:36.000 And so not to mention the more cruel chance that these activists were hurling towards our students and Kyle yesterday.
00:20:44.000 Yeah, I mean, people don't realize that.
00:20:46.000 Our local chapters are these brave students.
00:20:49.000 They were the ones that wanted to host Kyle.
00:20:51.000 And he's actually spoken at a couple other schools.
00:20:53.000 He's got a couple other ones that are coming up.
00:20:55.000 He has his book.
00:20:57.000 They were the ones that wanted to host Kyle.
00:20:59.000 It's not like we came from on top and said, hey, you guys need to start booking Kyle at these schools.
00:21:04.000 No, they request it because Kyle's story, I think, resonates on a really profound level with a lot of students across the country.
00:21:11.000 And that's a guy that stood up, defended himself and was acquitted and has a really important story to tell.
00:21:18.000 And Charlie, yeah, to your point, there was 398 murders in Memphis last year.
00:21:24.000 Most of it, sadly, is black on black crime.
00:21:27.000 And we don't need to make it about that.
00:21:29.000 But the fact of the matter is, is there's a huge element of this story where they want to paint Kyle as a white supremacist, as somebody.
00:21:37.000 He shot three white people.
00:21:41.000 And to your point, Memphis is in self-defense that were trying to harm him.
00:21:45.000 One pulled a gun on him.
00:21:46.000 And actually, he showed incredible discipline when he, I mean, so many people, if you look back at those, the video of Kyle would have shot off a barrage of bullets.
00:21:56.000 Kyle, you know, it was like three or four shots, bang, bang, bang.
00:21:58.000 And he ran away, went straight to the police.
00:22:00.000 All right.
00:22:01.000 So, but beyond that, to your point, 398 murders.
00:22:06.000 They broke a record in Memphis last year.
00:22:09.000 And so, yeah, there's bigger problems in Memphis than a guest speaker at a college that would have been completely, completely safe and normal and orderly had the university not jettisoned our ticketing system the day of the event.
00:22:25.000 And instead, somehow these protesters were tipped off and they were allowed to scoop up large chunks of these tickets and then turned it into a chaotic scene, staging walkouts, shouting down Kyle.
00:22:37.000 Kyle did a tremendous job, I thought, acquitting himself brilliantly in the face of that.
00:22:43.000 And then he spent two hours with our students afterwards, just taking private questions, trying to have a constructive dialogue and exchange with them.
00:22:50.000 And they had a bunch of questions for him.
00:22:51.000 They booked him.
00:22:52.000 And to your point, Charlie, there does need to be an investigation of what happened last night in Memphis.
00:22:59.000 Tennessee is a great state.
00:23:01.000 We love the state of Tennessee.
00:23:02.000 Memphis is an outlier, if there ever was one.
00:23:06.000 I don't know if you have friends that you can call to get this looked into, but I certainly believe it needs to be looked into because whatever happened was complete sabotage.
00:23:16.000 It is.
00:23:17.000 And we very well might file a lawsuit.
00:23:18.000 And we might file a lawsuit just on technical grounds.
00:23:21.000 Because again, the way that campus speech is supposed to be administered is from viewpoint neutrality.
00:23:27.000 The taxpayer-funded universities, especially state universities, they are not allowed to say, well, you know, we really don't like Kyle Rittenhouse.
00:23:33.000 We don't like Turning Point.
00:23:35.000 We're going to go help BLM to compromise the ticketing system and give them a leg up.
00:23:40.000 It's not legal.
00:23:41.000 You can't do that.
00:23:43.000 And it's interesting.
00:23:44.000 I think the university thought they could get away with it.
00:23:46.000 But more importantly, they are terrified of these students.
00:23:49.000 They're terrified of the activists on campus.
00:23:53.000 And we see this so often when I dialogue with, you know, private, privately with Board of Regent members or board of supervisor members.
00:24:03.000 And I ask them, I say, hey, you know, why don't you just stand up to these couple dozen, maybe 100 students out of 20,000 on campus?
00:24:11.000 They say, oh, you know, well, they're very, very powerful.
00:24:14.000 Like, actually, no, they're not.
00:24:15.000 You make them powerful.
00:24:17.000 These are very weak and loud people that you make powerful through the power that you give them.
00:24:22.000 Instead, you should be like, no, actually, here's your designated place to protest.
00:24:26.000 You don't get any sort of special treatment.
00:24:28.000 Go away.
00:24:30.000 And that's it.
00:24:31.000 And I just, I want to reiterate the point.
00:24:32.000 Memphis is a war zone.
00:24:34.000 Memphis is not a superpopulated city.
00:24:36.000 It's a mid-major city.
00:24:38.000 And they had 300 some plus murders last year.
00:24:41.000 I mean, that is extraordinary.
00:24:43.000 And so what is actually being, yeah, almost 400 murders.
00:24:48.000 And the big concern is that an American citizen patriot who is a decent person comes to speak and field questions on campus.
00:24:56.000 And it's important to note, Kyle Rittenhouse is the one that got away.
00:25:01.000 They wanted to make a show trial out of Kyle Rittenhouse.
00:25:04.000 They wanted to turn him into teenage.
00:25:06.000 They wanted to turn him into teenage Derek Chauvin is what they wanted to do.
00:25:10.000 They wanted to try to send a message that if you dare try to defend yourself or try to protect your community against lawlessness or anarchy or disorder, we're going to throw you in prison and we're going to racialize it even when it doesn't exist.
00:25:22.000 Because again, everyone who Kyle interacted with that evening was white.
00:25:25.000 And Kyle Rittenhouse got away and Kyle Rittenhouse made them all look bad.
00:25:29.000 But the Moscow style show trial that they've done against many other people in these instances where they say, look at this racist person, 50 years in prison.
00:25:37.000 Look at this racist person, 30 years in prison.
00:25:40.000 And it's too toxic and no one talks about it.
00:25:42.000 They tried to do that to Kyle Rittenhouse.
00:25:43.000 And now Kyle Rittenhouse is doing a speaking tour where he's talking about how the mob justice system tried to throw him in jail and how he was not given a fair hearing in the press.
00:25:54.000 And thankfully, we still had this little pocket of decency and normalcy and civility where he was able to get a fair trial in Wisconsin.
00:26:01.000 And so, you know, we deal with this every day at Turning Point USA.
00:26:04.000 And that's the other point I want to make, is that every single day our Turning Point students are experiencing the backlash, the smearing, the slander, the doxing.
00:26:12.000 And that should give all of you inspiration and hope.
00:26:15.000 You know, people ask all the time, they say, Charlie, you know, what can I do to get involved?
00:26:18.000 Well, try to do something as important as our Turning Point students who every single day are putting online.
00:26:23.000 Imagine having our Turning Point USA chapter leader at Memphis had his personal apartment information put public so anyone could go there and either harass him or do violent harm to him.
00:26:34.000 All of it just made public immediately.
00:26:36.000 And that's the playbook that they operate from, which is full-out warfare.
00:26:42.000 They want physical harm to happen to our students.
00:26:44.000 And thankfully, we have the toughest kids in the conservative movement who do not back down.
00:26:48.000 Instead, they double down.
00:26:50.000 Well, and our ranks are growing, Charlie.
00:26:52.000 I mean, you know, you talk about this sometimes, but you're going to be at UNLV.
00:26:56.000 I would suspect that UNLV is going to be a lot like San Diego State and Cal State Fullerton and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where the vast majority, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people show up to these tabling events.
00:27:08.000 The vast majority of them are going to be supportive of Turning Point USA in a view.
00:27:13.000 You know, you've got these clowns on social media like Philip Kowski or whatever that say, you know, that these campuses hate Turning Point or whatever.
00:27:21.000 No, it's the exact opposite.
00:27:22.000 There is an army in a peaceful sense of inspired young people that are calling BS on the regime and all of this woke nonsense that they've been force-fed since an early age.
00:27:37.000 And they're fighting back.
00:27:38.000 And it's voices like Turning Point USA on campus that are giving them a home, that are giving them a voice to share with, to fight alongside.
00:27:45.000 And it's been incredible watching your tour and these tabling events and how many hundreds and hundreds of supporters are coming out.
00:27:53.000 Charlie, what's that like on your side from when you started to where we are now?
00:27:58.000 Yeah, significant.
00:27:59.000 I mean, today we're expecting major crowds at UNLV.
00:28:04.000 And typically we used to do these outdoor campus events.
00:28:07.000 You know, we'd get maybe a couple dozen people, 30 or 40 people, some passerby.
00:28:12.000 Now there's hundreds of kids and they wait like two hours just for us to come on campus and they stay there for another couple hours and uninterrupted.
00:28:19.000 And today I think we're going to get more protesters because UNLV is pretty left-wing and pretty liberal, but that's fine.
00:28:24.000 That's part of the American spirit.
00:28:26.000 And, you know, we kind of enjoy it.
00:28:28.000 Like, come up to us.
00:28:29.000 Tell us why your ideas are right.
00:28:30.000 And it's so, it is so challenging to the liberals because they've never had anyone so or a group of people so confident or, and I don't mean confident in a cocky way, but just kind of just comfortable in your right in their ideas that they invite discourse straight up to the microphone.
00:28:47.000 You can ask any question you want.
00:28:48.000 I sit there for two to two and a half hours without my phone, without any notes, basically just drawing from memory and from experience.
00:28:55.000 They can have whatever notes they want.
00:28:56.000 And I never ridicule them if they have a book or if they have a phone.
00:29:00.000 It's fine.
00:29:00.000 You know, I do this professionally.
00:29:01.000 They don't.
00:29:02.000 They could bring a group of people, you know, and they can film it.
00:29:04.000 They could put it on the internet.
00:29:05.000 Oh, my goodness, look at us.
00:29:06.000 We made Charlie Kirk look so bad.
00:29:08.000 Go ahead.
00:29:08.000 Like whatever you want to do.
00:29:10.000 But this is what's going to save the country, which is open air, unscripted, real-time debates and dialogue about the most consequential ideas that are facing our country.
00:29:22.000 It's not going to be just like, oh, we're going to put you in jail or restrict your speech because I think you're a racist.
00:29:29.000 And, you know, for anyone, by the way, you know, one of the kids last night, you know, said, oh, Charlie Kirk's a racist to Kyle Rittman.
00:29:34.000 I was like, okay, come and find me and tell that to my face.
00:29:36.000 Would you?
00:29:36.000 Do you have the courage to do that?
00:29:38.000 Like, and let me respond.
00:29:39.000 Let me go through every single thing that you think I said and say it verbatim.
00:29:43.000 But a lot of them won't, Andrew, because for obvious reasons.
00:29:48.000 Charlie, I want to fixate on one piece of this because you've probably interacted with more college administrators than just about anybody else in the country.
00:29:59.000 And there's a good way to do this and there's a bad way to do this.
00:30:02.000 My read on this is that the University of Memphis essentially empowered petulant children.
00:30:09.000 And, you know, you look at the larger problems within Memphis and the crime and how murderous it is.
00:30:15.000 It really is local leadership.
00:30:18.000 You see it manifest at the school level.
00:30:20.000 They are the source of their own problems.
00:30:22.000 They could have dealt with this in a very orderly way.
00:30:25.000 And instead, they were the ones that empowered what happened, the chaos that ensued.
00:30:32.000 I mean, what is your read on that?
00:30:35.000 All universities are not equal.
00:30:36.000 Am I right?
00:30:37.000 I mean, there is a big range that you experience.
00:30:40.000 There's a sliver that operate like this as if they want the riot.
00:30:43.000 They want the commotion.
00:30:45.000 University of California Davis is a great example of that.
00:30:47.000 I remember last year, we were the ones that hosted Riley Gaines at the University of San Francisco or San Francisco something, where she got helped hunted down in the hallway.
00:30:56.000 Yeah, San Francisco State.
00:30:58.000 And she was hunted down in the hallway and effectively held hostage had a miss her flight.
00:31:03.000 And by the way, the university came out and said, oh, those students did nothing wrong.
00:31:05.000 It's perfectly fine to congregate outside of a private room where someone is and preventing them from going.
00:31:11.000 And so there is a sliver of these university campuses where the leadership, there's either one or there's only two explanations.
00:31:18.000 One is that they're terrified of these students, which is probably true.
00:31:21.000 And number two is that they're probably also sympathetic to their cause.
00:31:24.000 And so, you know, they're terrified of standing up against them.
00:31:27.000 And there will be no, you know, backlash.
00:31:30.000 Now, in Tennessee, it's a different situation, which is, I believe the University of Memphis is a public university.
00:31:36.000 You can correct me.
00:31:37.000 I believe it is.
00:31:39.000 And if that's the case, then, yeah, Governor Bill Lee and the entire legislature, they should hold hearings on this.
00:31:46.000 On was this technically administered the right way?
00:31:48.000 Because this is a bad look for the state of Tennessee.
00:31:51.000 And for those of you that haven't seen the videos, they're literally hunting down students in the streets, hunting down supporters in the streets.
00:31:59.000 This could have gotten very violent.
00:32:01.000 This could have resulted in hospitalizations and then permanent damage.
00:32:05.000 We've seen that happen before.
00:32:07.000 And in the great irony, and it's a terrible, tragic irony, is they're protesting Kyle Rittenhouse, but they were recreating some of the bedlam that Kyle Rittenhouse was trying to stand up against in his hometown.
00:32:18.000 And, you know, thankfully, again, no one got hurt.
00:32:20.000 The police did their best job to try to normalize this, but you must understand the police are kind of guests on these campuses.
00:32:26.000 They always have to kind of follow orders from the campus administration unless they see an active crime taking place and they're very hesitant to intervene.
00:32:34.000 And so, you know, this is just another example of some of the administration that acts like this.
00:32:39.000 And I want to be very clear and fair.
00:32:41.000 You know, some university campuses, they do stand up to the activist class.
00:32:45.000 They give them their First Amendment rights, as they are due, but they don't pander to them.
00:32:49.000 They don't give them inside access to ticketing.
00:32:51.000 They don't give them a cheat code to be able to disrupt our presence on campus.
00:32:56.000 And so it is still a tragedy that there are university faculty and administration, people in leadership that pander more to a petulant minority than to the reasonable majority on these campuses.
00:33:10.000 Yeah, 100%.
00:33:11.000 And you're actually, we haven't mentioned University of New Mexico, which you personally went out of your way to speak outside of any tour at that campus because they had previously succeeded in getting an event.
00:33:23.000 And by the way, these are outside agitators.
00:33:25.000 A lot of these at University of New Mexico specifically, they were not students.
00:33:30.000 They were sort of like Antifa groups or whatever.
00:33:32.000 Same at UC Davis, but they had locked up Tommy Larin in a room and she had to be sort of rescued out of being barricaded in a room as well.
00:33:42.000 You went back and sort of looked the mob in the eye and we had a successful event.
00:33:46.000 But that would be another example that I'm thinking of.
00:33:48.000 Charlie, let's go ahead and play Cut 98.
00:33:51.000 This is, these are activists stomping, spitting on cars, hitting cars as people were trying to leave the parking garage last night.
00:34:01.000 98.
00:34:02.000 It doesn't look to be like there's sound on this clip, I think, because there was some swearing going on.
00:34:08.000 But yeah, this is just a car pulling out of a parking garage.
00:34:11.000 And meanwhile, these people are hitting the car and spitting on people.
00:34:18.000 Real classy folks.
00:34:18.000 And there's Julia Rosas right there, Rojas, that is working with Turning Point Frontlines, doing a fantastic job.
00:34:26.000 So these are the people we face, folks, right here.
00:34:31.000 These are the people that we're enabling.
00:34:32.000 Charlie, last thoughts here as we go.
00:34:34.000 Got 30 seconds.
00:34:35.000 Yep.
00:34:36.000 I got a head on campus, UNLV, and pray for our safety and hope it's a good one.
00:34:40.000 Thanks, Andrew, for filling in.
00:34:41.000 And this is why we do what we do.
00:34:42.000 Talk to you guys soon.
00:34:43.000 Absolutely.
00:34:44.000 Good work, Charlie.
00:34:45.000 And Godspeed today.
00:34:46.000 Stay safe.
00:34:47.000 Get some great content.
00:34:49.000 And folks, when we record these videos, millions of people see them.
00:34:52.000 Minds are changed.
00:34:53.000 It's having a real impact.
00:34:57.000 Thanks so much for listening.
