00:01:11.000 That's why we are here.
00:01:14.000 Thank you, everybody.
00:01:15.000 Please take a seat.
00:01:16.000 Thank you.
00:01:17.000 We have a great guest tonight, so I'm not going to take much time.
00:01:20.000 But I do have to address something that I've received a lot of questions about that is an ongoing issue.
00:01:27.000 You know, we've been doing this now for two years.
00:01:31.000 So praise God.
00:01:34.000 Has anyone attended every single one?
00:01:37.000 Wow, I have.
00:01:40.000 So there you go.
00:01:41.000 And very few of us.
00:01:42.000 So it's been a pretty amazing thing.
00:01:44.000 If you ever want to go back and re-watch all of these, I encourage you to do so.
00:01:48.000 There's been some amazing guests over the last couple of years and just awesome knowledge and wisdom shared.
00:01:55.000 And thanks to Dream City for allowing this platform to happen.
00:01:59.000 So for years, it's important we recognize something has changed in the last couple weeks, not just the last couple of weeks.
00:02:07.000 So in January, James O'Keefe was still a Project Veritas.
00:02:12.000 Donald Trump was not yet indicted, and Tucker Carlson still had a television program.
00:02:17.000 And those three things have changed.
00:02:19.000 And I'm going to talk about the Tucker one in particular because I'm receiving a lot of questions about that.
00:02:24.000 And if you saw my show today, I was pretty fired up about it.
00:02:27.000 And so if you look at America as something that is worthy of protection, let's use something we're all very familiar with after the last couple of years.
00:02:37.000 Let's just say it's an immune system.
00:02:41.000 What are the elements that prevent bacterial infection or viral infection?
00:02:46.000 Truth and justice.
00:02:47.000 And you need truth and you need justice.
00:02:49.000 That is what creates society's antibodies, if you will.
00:02:52.000 Truth tellers are necessary to be able to check the massive lies in your society.
00:02:59.000 And it's been remarkable in the last week and a half how many messages I've received, but also just seeing more broadly how important one man's cable television program was to so many of you.
00:03:13.000 And I have not seen that sort of, let's just say, response to any sort of medium since the great Rush Limbaugh passed away.
00:03:24.000 And in some ways, Tucker Carlson was almost the unofficial handing of the baton from Rush to Tucker.
00:03:30.000 And so Tucker Carlson was fired.
00:03:33.000 And he told us why he was fired if you speak Tucker's language, which I'm going to show you the video and I'll tell you how to interpret it.
00:03:40.000 Because he put out this video on Twitter that to the outsider or to the untrained eye, you're like, okay, this is just a generic video.
00:03:48.000 I happen to know Tucker rather well, and he was communicating exactly what happened to you.
00:03:53.000 See, Tucker was on air for seven years, and it was a remarkable thing, right?
00:03:58.000 Tucker was able to challenge some of the biggest lies in our society.
00:04:01.000 They came after him.
00:04:02.000 They intimidated him.
00:04:04.000 In fact, Tucker was willing to say that we were in a spiritual war on cable television.
00:04:12.000 That is very, very hard to hear to find a cable television host say, you know, this is just diabolical.
00:04:18.000 But Tucker was not just effective and persuasive.
00:04:21.000 Let's be honest, Tucker was willing to use his prime time television program to talk about topics that you cared about, but the regime did not want you to talk about.
00:04:32.000 The open border, adverse events to a vaccine.
00:04:36.000 Why are we involved in this proxy war in eastern Ukraine?
00:04:39.000 Asking questions about that.
00:04:41.000 January 6th tapes.
00:04:42.000 You might agree or disagree on these topics, but he certainly made it interesting and he was darn effective at it.
00:04:48.000 And one of the things we're trying to do by having this gathering is trying to tell you that you need to speak the truth in your life in every circumstance, especially in our community.
00:04:59.000 And I think we could all take really a lesson from Tucker is he did this night after night in an incredibly effective way.
00:05:07.000 And he's not done.
00:05:07.000 You've not heard the last of Tucker Carlson.
00:05:09.000 Let me tell you.
00:05:10.000 You've not heard the last of Tucker Carlson.
00:05:12.000 It's a total mess right now.
00:05:12.000 Let me just tell you.
00:05:14.000 They're trying to take him out, and there's so many leaks and awful things.
00:05:17.000 Let me just ask, I'm just very curious.
00:05:19.000 How many of you have stopped watching Fox News?
00:05:21.000 Raise your hands after this?
00:05:22.000 Wow.
00:05:26.000 That's pretty decisive, right?
00:05:30.000 Wow.
00:05:31.000 I wonder why all of a sudden they went from 3.5 million viewers and now 1.3 million people.
00:05:36.000 And I just think people have, I don't know, it's pretty amazing.
00:05:41.000 And the reasons they gave is terrible.
00:05:44.000 So I want to play this piece of tape.
00:05:46.000 It has 80 million views of Tucker putting it on Twitter.
00:05:46.000 You've probably seen it.
00:05:49.000 But the reason I think it's very fitting tonight, not just because all of you are immensely curious in it, is that Tucker actually makes one of the most, let's just say, articulate spiritual arguments that you'll hear if you listen to it carefully enough.
00:06:05.000 He walks through the beginning, this first 17 seconds is just kind of that he's basically telling you he's having fun despite all the nonsense because Tucker is a lighthearted guy.
00:06:14.000 Then he goes into telling you in code, this is why I got fired, because the people in charge of my network were angry I challenged neoliberalism.
00:06:23.000 And then he calls them all a bunch of liars without saying it, because he's still technically an employee of Fox.
00:06:29.000 He was not fired, by the way.
00:06:30.000 His show is canceled.
00:06:31.000 It's very important.
00:06:32.000 But then at the end, he makes this unbelievably triumphant, beautiful, in the only way Tucker can.
00:06:38.000 He basically says that true things ultimately prevail.
00:06:42.000 That is Christianity, everybody.
00:06:45.000 That is the promise of Christ.
00:06:48.000 And if you know Tucker well, you could see, because some people are accusing him, oh, he's reading.
00:06:54.000 Oh, if Tucker's reading it, that means he wrote it.
00:06:57.000 And Tucker does not write anything by mistake.
00:06:59.000 He was a 30-year magazine writer, and he's a darn talented writer, let me tell you.
00:07:05.000 One of the most gifted writers of a generation.
00:07:07.000 So he prayed over and poured over every single word of this.
00:07:11.000 So I want you to listen carefully.
00:07:12.000 And at the end, he makes an argument.
00:07:15.000 The iron law of the universe, this could be best summarized as John 1.
00:07:20.000 In the beginning was the logos, was the word, that there's a natural harmony of the cosmos.
00:07:25.000 What Tucker is saying without saying it is, hey, we're in a spiritual war, and truth will always win.
00:07:31.000 With that kind of backdrop, for some of you, this will be the second or third time watching this video.
00:07:36.000 For some of you, the first time watching this, listen to Tucker Carlson speak in code of what actually happened to him in the last couple weeks.
00:07:42.000 Enjoy.
00:07:45.000 Good evening.
00:07:45.000 It's Tucker Carlson.
00:07:47.000 One of the first things you realize when you step outside the noise for a few days is how many genuinely nice people there are in this country, kind and decent people, people who really care about what's true, and a bunch of hilarious people, also.
00:08:01.000 A lot of those.
00:08:02.000 It's got to be the majority of the population, even now.
00:08:04.000 So that's hurting.
00:08:06.000 The other thing you notice when you take a little time off is how unbelievably stupid most of the debates you see on television are.
00:08:14.000 They're completely irrelevant.
00:08:15.000 They mean nothing.
00:08:16.000 In five years, we won't even remember that we had them.
00:08:19.000 Trust me, as someone who's participated.
00:08:22.000 And yet, at the same time, and this is the amazing thing, the undeniably big topics, the ones that will define our future, get virtually no discussion at all.
00:08:32.000 War, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic change, corporate power, natural resources.
00:08:39.000 When was the last time you heard a legitimate debate about any of those issues?
00:08:44.000 It's been a long time.
00:08:45.000 Debates like that are not permitted in American media.
00:08:49.000 Both political parties and their donors have reached consensus on what benefits them, and they actively collude to shut down any conversation about it.
00:08:59.000 Suddenly, the United States looks very much like a one-party state.
00:09:03.000 That's a depressing realization, but it's not permanent.
00:09:07.000 Our current orthodoxies won't last.
00:09:10.000 They're brain dead.
00:09:11.000 Nobody actually believes them.
00:09:13.000 Hardly anyone's life is improved by them.
00:09:16.000 This moment is too inherently ridiculous to continue, and so it won't.
00:09:21.000 The people in charge know this.
00:09:23.000 That's why they're hysterical and aggressive.
00:09:25.000 They're afraid.
00:09:26.000 They've given up persuasion.
00:09:28.000 They're resorting to force.
00:09:30.000 But it won't work.
00:09:31.000 When honest people say what's true calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful.
00:09:38.000 At the same time, the liars who've been trying to silence them shrink and they become weaker.
00:09:44.000 That's the iron law of the universe.
00:09:46.000 True things prevail.
00:09:48.000 Where can you still find Americans saying true things?
00:09:51.000 There aren't many places left, but there are some, and that's enough.
00:09:55.000 As long as you can hear the words, there is hope.
00:09:58.000 See you soon.
00:10:01.000 Isn't that beautiful?
00:10:03.000 Especially from a spiritual perspective.
00:10:06.000 As long as you can hear the words, that is Christianity, the spoken truth.
00:10:10.000 In the beginning was the word, and the word became flesh.
00:10:14.000 And I have no idea how this entire thing is going to end up, except I can tell you, if Tucker wrote that, those last three words he put there intentionally, see you soon.
00:10:23.000 He's not done.
00:10:25.000 And I hope all of us remember this and make, let's just say, more enlightened media choices.
00:10:34.000 If you want to listen to our podcast, that's fine.
00:10:36.000 Here's my one recommendation.
00:10:37.000 Support independent media.
00:10:39.000 Support people that are pushing back on the consensus, that are doing reporting, people like Matt Walsh, people like Tim Poole, people like Steve Bannon, Real America's Voice or whatever, because he's right.
00:10:52.000 There are real issues in our country that have spiritual dynamics to it that are much more important than, oh, this side is good and that side is bad.
00:11:00.000 So I'm getting asked a lot of questions about the Tucker thing.
00:11:03.000 But the last thing I'll say is this.
00:11:04.000 I had a conversation with him a couple of days ago.
00:11:07.000 He's in great spirits.
00:11:09.000 He was wrong, but he's not acting like a victim.
00:11:11.000 In fact, I think the enemy is going to regret ever doing what they did to Tucker because he's more motivated than ever to make sure that our side wins.
00:11:22.000 With that, join me in welcoming our guest tonight, an amazing American.
00:11:26.000 Get on your feet.
00:11:28.000 He is someone who's going to reignite America.
00:11:30.000 He inspires me.
00:11:31.000 He's a hero of mine.
00:11:32.000 Barry Maguire, everybody, author of Ignite Your Life.
00:11:34.000 Barry, come on up here.
00:11:38.000 Sorry.
00:11:39.000 Take a seat, everybody.
00:11:40.000 Thank you.
00:11:42.000 Okay.
00:11:44.000 Well, Barry, welcome.
00:11:45.000 I want to say, having Barry here is a real blessing.
00:11:49.000 Usually, Barry's right up front, faking notes.
00:11:52.000 You know, you don't get invited to your own church.
00:11:55.000 You do know that.
00:11:56.000 I speak all over the country, but you're without honor at your own country.
00:12:00.000 We're breaking the rules.
00:12:01.000 I think that's actually in Luke: that it's you can't be a prophet in your own hometown, right?
00:12:06.000 Exactly.
00:12:06.000 Is that Nazareth Jesus was rejected?
00:12:08.000 There you go.
00:12:09.000 That's true.
00:12:10.000 Is that correct?
00:12:11.000 Yeah.
00:12:11.000 So we're now bucking the trend.
00:12:13.000 Barry is welcome in Nazareth at aka Phoenix.
00:12:17.000 So, Barry, I wish we had hours to go through this.
00:12:23.000 I've known you for years.
00:12:24.000 And I just want to bring you.
00:12:26.000 You were 22 years old when I met you the first time at the Trump Hotel in D.C. I was naive enough to believe I could save the whole country.
00:12:33.000 I'm still working on that.
00:12:34.000 So thank you.
00:12:35.000 I'm not going to give up.
00:12:36.000 I'm not going to give up.
00:12:38.000 But, Barry, from the first time I met you, I saw something rare.
00:12:43.000 You were a joyful Christian.
00:12:45.000 Yes.
00:12:45.000 Yes.
00:12:46.000 There's so many angry Christians out there, which I think is one of the most awful things.
00:12:50.000 If you're an angry Christian, you're a bad ambassador for the promise and for the hope of the gospel, right?
00:12:56.000 But, Barry, I saw you in real time, so we got to know each other.
00:12:59.000 We saw each other at events, probably 100 events, right?
00:13:02.000 And from bellhops to waiters to waitresses to people that were serving us to random people, Barry would go up and say, Do you know the Lord?
00:13:09.000 And he would just love on people.
00:13:10.000 And it just poured out.
00:13:12.000 And those of you that know Barry know that this is not some just sort of shtick.
00:13:15.000 This is who he is.
00:13:16.000 Barry, tell your story and talk about your book, Ignite Your Life, and let's have some fun.
00:13:21.000 Well, you know, the story of joy is an interesting one because Karen and Karen can be up here with me.
00:13:25.000 Karen, I love you to death.
00:13:27.000 You're my life everywhere.
00:13:30.000 There she is right there.
00:13:31.000 We're working on 60 years of marriage in December.
00:13:37.000 Frankly, I think the Lord's coming before that.
00:13:39.000 We're not going to see it, but you know.
00:13:42.000 But, you know, I was born in a Christian home, and so a Sunday morning, Sunday night, Wednesday night, so, you know, all the stuff.
00:13:51.000 And the parents mentored me well, and so we got married.
00:13:55.000 And Karen did not have quite the same upwriting I did, but she was solid with me.
00:14:00.000 And we were volunteering for everything in the church.
00:14:03.000 And, you know, like during the week, we'd go out and knock on doors.
00:14:06.000 We were just doing everything we possibly could.
00:14:09.000 And we realized we didn't have joy.
00:14:14.000 And we said, how's that possible, God?
00:14:17.000 We're doing all we're trying to earn our way into heaven, like earn God's favor, which you can't do that, by the way.
00:14:22.000 He already loves you completely.
00:14:24.000 You can't get any more than completely.
00:14:27.000 But we were just trying to figure that out.
00:14:30.000 And we actually were having some times when we were kind of nipping at each other, right?
00:14:37.000 Like, this should not be right.
00:14:39.000 We should not be having these kinds of situations.
00:14:41.000 You're having joy.
00:14:42.000 Where's all this joy going to come from?
00:14:44.000 And so we started praying for joy.
00:14:47.000 We literally started praying every day, God, we want joy.
00:14:52.000 And we end up about maybe a month later or so.
00:14:58.000 And we went to a luncheon at our church, 50th anniversary luncheon.
00:15:03.000 They had Herb Ellingwood.
00:15:05.000 Herb was the legal affairs secretary for Ronald Reagan and then President Reagan after that.
00:15:10.000 And he was the speaker.
00:15:11.000 And I was assigned the seat next to him next to the podium.
00:15:15.000 And for an hour, I was wanting to hear about Reagan.
00:15:21.000 Do you really pray in his office?
00:15:23.000 He never mentioned Reagan.
00:15:24.000 I never thought of Reagan.
00:15:26.000 For an hour, he's told me story after story after story.
00:15:30.000 He was laughing.
00:15:30.000 He was crying about how he was sharing his faith at all these crazy places.
00:15:35.000 And last night, you don't believe what happened last night.
00:15:39.000 I walked away from that in tears.
00:15:43.000 And I said, I want what he has.
00:15:46.000 I want what he has.
00:15:47.000 I want that joy.
00:15:49.000 So, Karen and I talked about, we said, well, we had no idea that joy came from sharing faith.
00:15:55.000 Sharing faith is something we've been doing a good bit.
00:15:58.000 We'd gone to Bandsu Explosion class, but it was hard.
00:16:01.000 It was, you know, all the scripting and getting the points right.
00:16:04.000 And it was a difficult type of thing.
00:16:07.000 And here he's having fun.
00:16:08.000 He's not doing anything.
00:16:09.000 He's just loving on people.
00:16:11.000 So we talked about, he said, okay, we're going to start doing that.
00:16:14.000 So we started just loving on people and having the time of our lives doing it immediately.
00:16:20.000 Within, oh, I don't know, maybe three or four weeks.
00:16:22.000 We were laughing one day.
00:16:24.000 And I said to Karen, we have joy.
00:16:28.000 Never guessed it had anything to do with sharing the faith, which we don't want to do, right?
00:16:32.000 No one wants to share their faith.
00:16:34.000 So it was just amazing.
00:16:36.000 So that was 1973.
00:16:38.000 The next three years, we were sharing our faith to the point where just amazing things were happening in our lives every day.
00:16:45.000 It has for all these years, since 50 years of doing this, Karen and I.
00:16:50.000 And one day I was in my office.
00:16:56.000 I decided, God, you must be leading me into full-time ministry.
00:16:59.000 I can see where this is going.
00:17:01.000 It keeps getting stronger and stronger and stronger.
00:17:03.000 And I'd had a Jewish rep, I was back in New Jersey earlier that week, and it was snowing outside.
00:17:09.000 We got back in the car.
00:17:10.000 I turned the engine on.
00:17:11.000 He says, before you put in gear, I wonder if we can talk.
00:17:14.000 And I said, what about?
00:17:15.000 And he says, I'm heading for divorce.
00:17:18.000 I don't know what to do.
00:17:19.000 Would you pray for me?
00:17:20.000 Now, I had never sat a serious conversation with him about the Lord.
00:17:25.000 But you know what?
00:17:25.000 If you just love on people and let them know that you're a Christian, that you trust God, when they have a problem, they come.
00:17:34.000 They do.
00:17:35.000 And so we had a great time together.
00:17:37.000 I got there.
00:17:37.000 Okay, God, you're taking me in the next realm now.
00:17:39.000 People are actually asking for stuff without me even being out there in front of them on it, just doing it matter of factly.
00:17:47.000 So I prayed this most fervent prayer of my life.
00:17:50.000 Literally, I said, God, I want to be where you want me to be.
00:17:53.000 I don't care what it is.
00:17:55.000 My family business, I love it.
00:17:57.000 I'm the third generation leader of my business.
00:17:59.000 We were just starting into retail, just baby steps.
00:18:02.000 It was just getting going.
00:18:03.000 I was excited about that.
00:18:05.000 But more importantly, I wanted to serve God.
00:18:07.000 I just wanted to be close to God.
00:18:09.000 So I said, God, if you want me to leave, I'll leave.
00:18:13.000 But you do know that if I leave, the family business will fail.
00:18:17.000 There's no way else to lead it.
00:18:18.000 And that'd be the end of O'Guire Scarwax.
00:18:21.000 And I have two little girls if you know that as well.
00:18:24.000 But if you want me to leave, you'd almost have to speak to me in an audible voice, is what I said.
00:18:30.000 Okay?
00:18:31.000 Not 20 minutes later, a guy came into my office.
00:18:34.000 His name was Dave McNutt from my church.
00:18:36.000 I didn't know him, but I knew he's a missionary kid born in Africa, my same age.
00:18:41.000 He'd spoken from the platform a couple times.
00:18:43.000 We never exchanged a glance.
00:18:44.000 Here he is in my office.
00:18:46.000 And I said, Hi, Dave.
00:18:48.000 How are you doing?
00:18:48.000 I'm fine.
00:18:49.000 I was in the area.
00:18:49.000 I thought I'd ask you how you're doing.
00:18:51.000 How's life?
00:18:53.000 And so I started going down a path.
00:18:55.000 I made a sap decision.
00:18:57.000 He wasn't into cool cars and shiny paint finishes as a missionary kid.
00:19:01.000 So I started telling people and sharing my faith with.
00:19:04.000 And I joined that last story.
00:19:06.000 He said, Wow, God's given you a wonderful ministry here, hadn't he?
00:19:10.000 And I said, Wait a minute.
00:19:11.000 I mean, it's like Twilight's on.
00:19:13.000 I said, Why would you say that?
00:19:16.000 He says, Well, a pastor couldn't reach those people you're reaching, but as a businessman, you can.
00:19:22.000 And it's obvious that your business is your pulpit.
00:19:26.000 That was 1976.
00:19:28.000 It's obvious that your business is your pulpit.
00:19:30.000 Folks, wherever you are, that's your pulpit.
00:19:32.000 You know, that's your pulpit.
00:19:34.000 Take full advantage of it.
00:19:36.000 So I told him, I said, I just prayed this prayer not 20 minutes earlier.
00:19:40.000 He said, well, that explains it.
00:19:41.000 I said, explains what.
00:19:42.000 He said, I just dropped missionaries off of the Orange County airport.
00:19:46.000 I was driving up Red Hill, the closest main street to my office, and God spoke to me and said, Go see Barry Maguire.
00:19:54.000 And I said, I don't know this guy.
00:19:56.000 I see his name.
00:19:57.000 I recognize him in church, but I don't know what kind of business it is.
00:20:00.000 I'm going to make a fool out of myself.
00:20:02.000 But I walked in with, he said, actually, my throat was, my heart was beating in my throat.
00:20:08.000 I was so nervous that I didn't know what to say, but how's it going?
00:20:13.000 So that's that got us in the direction of sharing our faith.
00:20:19.000 And let me just do a little add-on.
00:20:21.000 24 years later, he calls me.
00:20:22.000 I haven't seen him for 24 years.
00:20:24.000 He went on to a different church.
00:20:26.000 And he said, I have a word for you from the Lord.
00:20:29.000 I didn't want to hear it.
00:20:31.000 I mean, you can't follow all the words from the Lord.
00:20:33.000 You get a few of those.
00:20:35.000 But he sat me down.
00:20:37.000 He said, Have you heard this book, The Prayer of Jabez?
00:20:39.000 I'd not heard of it yet because it just come out.
00:20:42.000 He said, Well, I hadn't heard of it either.
00:20:43.000 I think three months later, everybody we knew in the Christian world read Prayer Jabez, but at that moment they had not.
00:20:49.000 He said, A friend gave it to me.
00:20:51.000 As I was reading the book, God spoke to me, said, Go back and tell Barry.
00:20:56.000 I'm going to enlarge his territory and I'm going to give him a ministry separate apart from his business.
00:21:03.000 And I knew what that meant.
00:21:05.000 It was a ministry to talk to Christians about how much fun it is to share your faith and all the good things that go with it.
00:21:11.000 The next seven years, our 100-year-old family business doubled in size.
00:21:16.000 Our TV show went global on all the discovery networks.
00:21:22.000 I mean, now we're the number one selling car wax in America and countries all over the world.
00:21:25.000 It's been a crazy ride.
00:21:27.000 But because I haven't looked at my business as the important thing, my business is my pulpit.
00:21:33.000 It's secondary, folks.
00:21:35.000 We can be in politics, we can be teaching, whatever, but secondarily to living the commission, doing what God's called us to do.
00:21:43.000 Let's get more people in heaven.
00:21:45.000 That's what we got to do.
00:21:47.000 So, Barry, you know, there's some people right now in the audience.
00:21:51.000 They say, but it's hard at my job.
00:21:54.000 Do you mean that when I go out to a restaurant, I got to say it?
00:21:56.000 Just walk us through.
00:21:57.000 What is the Maguire experience?
00:21:59.000 I mean, I've seen it, everybody.
00:22:01.000 It's unbelievable.
00:22:03.000 I mean, it's everybody you could imagine is not an obstacle, like, oh, that person's in the way.
00:22:08.000 It's an opportunity, an opportunity to bring that person in heaven.
00:22:11.000 So, walk us through the Maguire day from Starbucks baristas to everybody.
00:22:19.000 Everywhere you're going, you're putting the gospel all over the valley.
00:22:22.000 I would correct you to say Maguire way.
00:22:24.000 I'm saying it's God's way.
00:22:26.000 We have been taught, all of us have been in church all these years, that it's difficult.
00:22:34.000 And you have to study and you have to get your points down.
00:22:37.000 You have to get your life story.
00:22:40.000 I got a hundred life stories.
00:22:41.000 Which one do you want me to remember?
00:22:44.000 You get this all down, then you go out and expect to be persecuted.
00:22:47.000 And you go out and you finally get somebody, and you're going through the points.
00:22:51.000 And between point two and point three, they're off somewhere.
00:22:54.000 I'm trying to get them back so I can get them to point three.
00:22:57.000 I got to get them saved.
00:22:58.000 You're on the spot.
00:22:59.000 I did it all wrong.
00:23:01.000 Jesus said, Don't know your disciple by your love.
00:23:05.000 And that changes everything.
00:23:08.000 It doesn't take you out of your comfort zone.
00:23:09.000 If you're a Christian, you like to love on people.
00:23:12.000 But if you love on people intensely with the idea that you can move and move everybody every day closer to Jesus, don't worry about getting them saved, but just love on them.
00:23:21.000 When you love on people, folks, the Holy Spirit is loving them through you.
00:23:27.000 When he loves you, he's salvationing you.
00:23:30.000 The whole purpose of his love is to salvation you to get you to heaven.
00:23:33.000 When you love on other people, he is salvationing them through you.
00:23:38.000 Got it?
00:23:40.000 There's no secular conversation.
00:23:42.000 Every conversation is sacred.
00:23:45.000 Every single one.
00:23:46.000 Every person you talk to, I don't care if they call themselves Christians or not.
00:23:50.000 But God is sovereignly, particularly the ones that don't look like me.
00:23:54.000 I love the ones that don't look like me.
00:23:56.000 They're the most fun.
00:23:57.000 And you know that God is sovereignly moving on everybody all around us at the same time.
00:24:02.000 And when we come in, we enter in.
00:24:06.000 It's a sacred opportunity.
00:24:08.000 God is actually bringing us in, being a physical manifestation of what he's already talking to them about.
00:24:16.000 And when you do that, they sense the Holy Spirit.
00:24:19.000 I tell you, even scoundrels, they sense something's different here.
00:24:22.000 You're loving on these people.
00:24:24.000 And I love to do it with people that don't expect me to love about them.
00:24:27.000 We had a waiter the other day, and he could not have been more of a different persuasion than you could possibly imagine.
00:24:33.000 But we loved on him and complimented him on his perfume and tipped him well and talked about God to him.
00:24:41.000 And he was all into it.
00:24:43.000 We have to stop being defensive.
00:24:45.000 We're serving the king of kings.
00:24:46.000 I mean, God is using us and be able to represent him in these last days.
00:24:51.000 It's amazing.
00:24:51.000 So you're saying, how do you make that work?
00:24:55.000 Just love on people.
00:24:57.000 I can't make it any more simple than that.
00:24:59.000 You love on people, and when they see that, they respond.
00:25:03.000 And it happens in the craziest ways.
00:25:05.000 Karen and I get on the plane.
00:25:06.000 We always sit next to each other.
00:25:07.000 We're all suddenly split up.
00:25:09.000 Every time we get split up, we know, okay, God's up to something.
00:25:13.000 And he said me next to a gal who has a girlfriend.
00:25:17.000 And I pull out a Bible and I'm doing some things.
00:25:20.000 She says, oh, you're a pastor.
00:25:21.000 I said, no, I'm not a pastor.
00:25:22.000 I'm a businessman.
00:25:23.000 Well, what's that?
00:25:24.000 Oh, I love God.
00:25:25.000 She's, well, God doesn't love me very much.
00:25:28.000 I said, well, why are you saying, oh, I'm in a relationship?
00:25:31.000 And she starts saying, I said, you've got that so wrong.
00:25:34.000 She says, why?
00:25:35.000 I said, God loves you.
00:25:37.000 What?
00:25:38.000 Yeah, he loves you.
00:25:40.000 He loves you as much as he's ever loved anybody.
00:25:42.000 Do you know what that means to people?
00:25:43.000 You know, most people can't comprehend that God loves them.
00:25:46.000 They think God's beating up on all the bad stuff.
00:25:49.000 God is mad at them, trying to punish them.
00:25:52.000 He loves them, and he wants to bring them to eternity.
00:25:54.000 He wants them to spend eternity in heaven.
00:25:56.000 When you start sharing that message, it just opens up the doors.
00:26:00.000 And Barry, it should be fun, though.
00:26:03.000 It should be exhilarating.
00:26:05.000 Tell us about it.
00:26:06.000 Because some people are saying, this sounds hard.
00:26:09.000 And it's another thing I have to do.
00:26:11.000 People don't get mad at you when you tell them God loves them.
00:26:16.000 They just don't.
00:26:17.000 That particular gal was praying for her as we landed, but I can think of another.
00:26:20.000 I got in a taxi, and I was just going a short ways, but it was seven degrees outside.
00:26:25.000 I'm from California, Arizona.
00:26:27.000 I don't like cold.
00:26:28.000 So I said, I'll tell you, a short triple.
00:26:30.000 I'll give you a big tip.
00:26:32.000 I don't want a tip.
00:26:34.000 I said, excuse me.
00:26:35.000 He said, I don't want a tip.
00:26:38.000 Well, sir, why don't you want a tip?
00:26:39.000 I'm a bad person.
00:26:40.000 I don't deserve a tip.
00:26:43.000 There's people that are hurting around us.
00:26:45.000 They're everywhere.
00:26:46.000 Everywhere you look, and people are hurting.
00:26:48.000 The world is hurting.
00:26:49.000 And we have God's love.
00:26:50.000 And we just walk right by them on our way to our Bible studies or wooden church.
00:26:54.000 We've got to recognize we're in a war.
00:26:56.000 This is spiritual warfare.
00:26:57.000 And we have the opportunity every moment.
00:26:59.000 I don't care who they are.
00:27:01.000 They're all needing God.
00:27:02.000 And when you allow God to move you by his Holy Spirit in, things happen, you know.
00:27:07.000 So I said, do you know that God loves you?
00:27:10.000 No.
00:27:13.000 You know, a scrumpy guy shorted his wood, shorted his steering wheel.
00:27:17.000 I said, yeah, God loves you.
00:27:18.000 No.
00:27:19.000 I said, sir, I'm a Christian.
00:27:21.000 I know the Bible.
00:27:22.000 I can tell you he loves you.
00:27:24.000 No answer.
00:27:26.000 I said, in fact, do you know he loves you as much as he's ever loved anybody?
00:27:30.000 No answer.
00:27:31.000 I said, I'll give you, it gets even better.
00:27:33.000 Do you know he loves you as much as he loves his own son, Jesus Christ?
00:27:37.000 No answer.
00:27:39.000 Now I'm at the end of my road.
00:27:40.000 So I get out.
00:27:41.000 He puts the window down, the salt or the glass, it's snowing and everything.
00:27:45.000 He's looking at me just blank.
00:27:47.000 I say, sir, God put me in your taxi right now because he wants you to know he loves you and he wants you to spend eternity with him.
00:27:58.000 He just blanked.
00:27:59.000 He's just blank.
00:28:00.000 He's just blank.
00:28:03.000 Then I gave him a really big tip.
00:28:07.000 Have a good day, sir.
00:28:08.000 God bless you.
00:28:08.000 I walked away.
00:28:09.000 Yes.
00:28:11.000 Did I get him saved?
00:28:12.000 No, I didn't get him saved.
00:28:14.000 Did I move him closer to Jesus?
00:28:15.000 You better believe it.
00:28:17.000 And it's imagine how many opportunities we're missing every day.
00:28:21.000 Every day, everyone.
00:28:22.000 Myself included.
00:28:23.000 I mean, I get annoyed with people.
00:28:25.000 And I mean, we all do, right?
00:28:26.000 I especially do at times.
00:28:28.000 I can be better about this, right?
00:28:30.000 Which is, you know, it's, I mean, I got to tell you, somebody who's relentless, if we are all like Angel Barnett on airplanes, I'll tell you, this is our relation.
00:28:39.000 No, it's a real thing.
00:28:40.000 She'll tell you.
00:28:41.000 I was taking a nap.
00:28:42.000 It was a 6 a.m. flight on exit row, and Angel kept on coming back, and she was relentless.
00:28:46.000 If we're all like that when spreading the gospel, we could double the amount of Christians in America, I could tell you, if we're all like Angel Barnett.
00:28:54.000 I'm half kidding, but Barry, let's talk about atrophy, right?
00:28:59.000 Because so there's two types of people, I think, that are here tonight.
00:29:02.000 This is an overgeneralization.
00:29:04.000 Some people here that have given their life to the Lord and been Christians for decades, and some people that have not yet given their life to the Lord.
00:29:09.000 And I want to talk to both of them here.
00:29:11.000 Let's first talk about people here in the audience.
00:29:14.000 Charlie or Barry, okay, I'm a Christian, but you're trying to get people out of that atrophy, right?
00:29:21.000 Of you just feel as if you're going through the motions.
00:29:24.000 How can we reignite them, get them back into enjoying being a Christian?
00:29:29.000 I think the telltale sign is fear.
00:29:32.000 Do you know that 80% of all Christians are living in fear today?
00:29:37.000 Fear.
00:29:38.000 They're living in fear.
00:29:42.000 80% of you, apparently, are living in fear.
00:29:45.000 There's lots of things to be afraid of.
00:29:47.000 You start looking around all the things.
00:29:49.000 I mean, it's really just.
00:29:50.000 So, how do you get out of fear?
00:29:53.000 If I asked you, how many of you live your life by trust the Lord with your whole heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways, acknowledge him, direct your path?
00:30:02.000 You all raise your hands.
00:30:04.000 But 80% of you are living in fear.
00:30:06.000 So you actually believe stuff, but you're not living it.
00:30:10.000 Okay.
00:30:11.000 So how do you get out of that?
00:30:12.000 How do you actually start living your faith?
00:30:17.000 It's a whole different world.
00:30:18.000 You start actually looking at what the scriptures have to say.
00:30:22.000 How do you have wholehearted faith?
00:30:23.000 How can you live every day knowing God's going to answer your prayers, that he is answering your prayers?
00:30:28.000 How do you know every day that God's directing your sets?
00:30:31.000 Karen, I've been there for years.
00:30:33.000 Our website is called igniteamerica.com.
00:30:35.000 You can see all kinds of people who don't look like me that are enjoying this same thing.
00:30:39.000 I don't have an edge on this.
00:30:42.000 There are people of all types and persuasions doing it.
00:30:45.000 There's just not enough of it.
00:30:46.000 80% of the unchurched know the world's out of control, would like to believe there's a God that could solve the problems and are looking for them.
00:30:57.000 80% of the unchurched, that's basically everybody around us.
00:31:00.000 They're all looking.
00:31:01.000 You can't cop out now and say they're going to think you're a fanatic.
00:31:04.000 They're looking.
00:31:05.000 And guess what?
00:31:05.000 Over 80% of them already have a Christian in their life that they trust.
00:31:10.000 We could knight America with the revival in 30 days if we wanted to.
00:31:14.000 And it's so easy.
00:31:15.000 But we got all these fears and we just don't want to do it.
00:31:18.000 But you just let go of your fears, stay in your comfort zone, just love fun, people.
00:31:22.000 And it's amazing what happens.
00:31:24.000 Let me give you a critical voice.
00:31:25.000 I'll give you two critical verses tonight.
00:31:29.000 Romans 8:28 is one that you all know, but I doubt very many of you are really living it.
00:31:33.000 It's that one that goes, all things work together for good.
00:31:36.000 You know, I didn't talk about it.
00:31:38.000 But they don't go to good for me.
00:31:40.000 And maybe they're going to good for somebody else, but not for me.
00:31:42.000 I got old.
00:31:43.000 You don't know the problems I have.
00:31:45.000 You know, the fact of the matter is, he actually said that.
00:31:47.000 God doesn't lie.
00:31:49.000 God is truth.
00:31:50.000 And he says, I'll make everything, everything, everything in your life for now until you get to heaven.
00:31:55.000 I think it's the second most important scripture after John 3:16.
00:31:59.000 I will make everything in your life work together for good if you do two things.
00:32:03.000 You got to read the whole scripture.
00:32:05.000 If you love me with all your heart, all your mind, your soul, God, you own me.
00:32:09.000 I had nothing between me and you.
00:32:12.000 And you live for my purpose.
00:32:16.000 Did you hear that?
00:32:17.000 If you love me and live for my purpose, by purpose, he came to seek and save the lost.
00:32:22.000 There's no confrontation, no disagreement on that.
00:32:26.000 He came to seek and save the lost.
00:32:27.000 When we live our lives not for our purpose, there's nothing in the Bible about your purpose.
00:32:33.000 It's one purpose to seek and save the lost.
00:32:36.000 When we live for his purpose every day, then his promise flips in that all things work together.
