00:06:44.000 You're able to have a referendum on a person, an idea, a pattern of behavior, a bill, a policy, and a family.
00:06:54.000 You see, over the last couple decades, America has been ruled by dynasties, as if we're supposed to go back to the 13 and 1400s and destroy this idea of the consent of the governed.
00:07:08.000 That if you are a son or a daughter, a wife or a spouse, somehow you have a right to rule that other people do not have.
00:07:18.000 The founding fathers did not like monarchies.
00:07:20.000 They hated oligarchies.
00:07:22.000 This idea of dynasties was largely repulsive.
00:07:26.000 Now, of course, there was John Adams and John Quincy Adams.
00:07:29.000 There are some exceptions to that.
00:07:30.000 But largely, Washington and Jefferson and Madison and Jay.
00:07:35.000 They went out of their way to say that bloodlines should not be a prerogative to rule.
00:07:41.000 They very well could have created the Washitonian and Jeffersonian republics of Virginia or of Pennsylvania, but they resisted that.
00:07:51.000 They wanted to try to give people power in a decentralized way, to give them the ability to rise up, to be able to vote their mind and put people in office that reflect their values.

Yesterday, the wonderful people of Wyoming dethroned a political dynasty.
