00:01:39.000 This is what we voted for, which you guys can find at...
00:01:42.000 Charliekirk.com, because this is what we voted for, and that is actually the theme and the open today, which is the stunning and perplexing politics of immigration.
00:01:53.000 You see, for almost all of my political career, and for as long as I have memory, Democrats have had an advantage on immigration.
00:02:02.000 There's issues that they've always had advantages with us over.
00:02:05.000 Climate, education, and immigration, they almost always have some form of advantage.
00:02:11.000 Interestingly enough, education, less and less so.
00:02:14.000 Remember that election where Governor Youngkin won in the great state of Virginia?
00:02:19.000 He became the governor of Virginia with actual favorability advantage on the issue of education.
00:02:27.000 But on immigration, Democrats have always had us over a barrel by 20 points or 30 points because what did Republicans stand for when it came to immigration?
00:02:38.000 And this is the kicker, everybody.
00:02:41.000 If there is just one thing that you remember that I tell you, it is how wrong, how fraudulent, how deceitful the Jeb Bush, Karl Rove perspective on immigration was.
00:02:53.000 Back in 2014-2015, we had the Gang of Eight.
00:02:57.000 And yes, Marco Rubio was part of it, and he has come a long way, and I'm Marco Rubio's biggest fan and supporter.
00:03:02.000 But yes, we had the Gang of Eight, and I remember it.
00:03:04.000 This was the first couple of years I was involved in politics.
00:03:08.000 And it was unchallengeable dogma in the Republican Party that we are going to lose Hispanics forever if we do not pass mass amnesty.
00:03:22.000 Now, see, this was largely passed and was pushed, I should say, By the Koch brothers, by corporate interests, by the Chamber of Commerce.
00:03:30.000 This was largely being advanced by sinister multinational corporations that didn't actually care about the politics.
00:03:38.000 They wanted cheap labor.
00:03:41.000 And the Democrats were like, sure, you want cheap labor?
00:03:43.000 We want cheap votes.
00:03:45.000 Marriage made in heaven.
00:03:48.000 Instead, what was created is a weapon of mass migration.
00:03:53.000 Not a weapon of mass destruction.
00:03:56.000 A weapon of mass migration.
00:03:59.000 And Jeb Bush and all of the Republican orthodoxy was, and every single donor believed this, we need to win back Hispanics, and by doing so, we have to calm down our rhetoric on immigration.
00:04:12.000 This is without a doubt one of the greatest missteps, one of the greatest errors in modern, if not all of, Almost everybody fell for this.
00:04:25.000 And honestly, I was 20 years old at the time.
00:04:28.000 I was 21 years old at the time.
00:04:29.000 I kind of fell for it, too.
00:04:31.000 I was like, well, do we need to water down our language?
00:04:33.000 And do we need to be more compassionate?
00:04:35.000 Because a lot of Latinos and Hispanics, they seem to be for open borders, and they have friends that have come here illegally.
00:04:41.000 And it was a ruse, everybody.
00:04:44.000 It was a major scam.
00:04:47.000 Paul Ryan and John McCain, all of the moderate apparatchiks were together saying, we must do this or else we're going to lose Hispanics 90-10.
00:04:59.000 It'll be like black America.
00:05:00.000 And they were fear-mongering and they were blackmailing us saying, you must do mass amnesty right now or else you will be a minority party forever and you'll never win back Hispanics.
00:05:12.000 And 10 years ago to this month, The most consistent political candidate that we've ever seen, Donald Trump changed everything.
00:05:20.000 He said, nope, they're illegals, many of them are rapists, they're thugs, they're terrible, we're going to build a wall, Mexico will pay for it, we're going to do mass deportations, and he has unwavered in that commitment.
00:05:32.000 And then we were told by the moderates in the Republican Party, oh, you guys are going to lose us, majorities, you're going to lose elections if you talk like this, and Hispanics will turn against you.
00:05:44.000 Turns out, The exact opposite was actually the case.
00:05:47.000 It turns out that the more aggressive and hawkish that we got on immigration, the more Hispanics were coming our way.
00:05:57.000 The more aggressive and hawkish that we got on immigration, we finally for the first time ever are beating Democrats on the issue of immigration.
00:06:06.000 It turns out at the core Americans are actually very Very supportive of mass deportations.
00:06:13.000 And what I love is that the Democrats, they're continually polling this.
00:06:18.000 Or there's no way America...
00:06:21.000 America actually wants door-by-door, block-by-block mass deportations.
00:06:26.000 And the Democrats, they don't quite understand this.
00:06:29.000 Here is Amy Walter from the Cook Political Report, who accurately says this is the first time ever.
00:06:38.000 Democrats used to have an advantage over Trump and immigration.
00:06:41.000 They have a disadvantage now.
00:06:43.000 Play cut 422.
00:06:44.000 The question going forward, I think, is how Democrats do talk about these issues.
00:06:49.000 It's going to be really important for not just what's happening today in Los Angeles, but just writ large.
00:06:57.000 I think there has been a lot of pullback and a lot of hand-wringing from Democrats about an issue which they used to have an advantage on.
00:07:06.000 During Trump's first term, they have a disadvantage on now.
00:07:10.000 This issue isn't going away.
00:07:12.000 And how Democrats respond to whether this is going to happen in other states, how they address concerns about safety and security, that is going to be critical just for the next, well, forever long.
00:07:27.000 It's been flipped.
00:07:28.000 Remember the RNC autopsy report of 2013?
00:07:31.000 It's funny.
00:07:32.000 I actually went to one of those meetings.
00:07:34.000 I was brought.
00:07:34.000 to one of those RNC donor meetings by Mike Miller, one of my dear friends, runs MJ Miller Jewelers in the suburbs of Chicago in Barrington, Illinois, which I encourage you guys to go to if you have any jewelry needs.
00:07:47.000 He actually did our wedding ring and many other things.
00:07:49.000 But he brought me to the RNC autopsy report in Chicago because Reince Priebus, who I really like, he was doing a roadshow.
00:07:56.000 Just here's the report, here's the data.
00:07:58.000 And he was going to meet with donors because people were very, very upset with what happened in 2012.
00:08:03.000 And this is what was in the official RNC autopsy report in 2013.
00:08:10.000 Quote, Blake, can we tweet this out?
00:08:26.000 This is so important.
00:08:28.000 Let me say this again.
00:08:30.000 Quote, Among the steps Republicans must take in the Hispanic community.
00:08:34.000 This was the official RNC autopsy report in 2013.
00:08:38.000 We must embrace and champion comprehensive immigration reform.
00:08:43.000 If we do not, our party's appeal will continue to shrink to its core constituencies only.
00:08:49.000 This was all before Donald Trump.
00:08:51.000 Here is Jeb Bush at CPAC back in 2015, 2016, probably 2015.
00:08:59.000 Play cut 448.
00:09:01.000 What we need, which are economic-driven immigrants, those that want to come here to work, to invest in their dreams in this country, to create opportunities for all of us.
00:09:12.000 And that's what we need to get to.
00:09:14.000 Chamber of Commerce, Balderdash.
00:09:18.000 Jeb Bush being applauded by the 19 different K Street lobbyists that he bussed on over to the Gaylord Hotel.
00:09:25.000 And you have the Jeb Bush, you have the RNC autopsy, Donald Trump changed it all.
00:09:29.000 And now we have an advantage on the immigration issue.
00:09:33.000 America supports it.
00:09:34.000 51% of people want mass deportations.
00:09:36.000 54% people want raids on violent criminals.
00:09:39.000 A 20-point lead on the mobilization of the National Guard.
00:09:44.000 And Donald Trump changed it all.
00:09:46.000 Donald Trump knew it.
00:09:47.000 He intuited it.
00:09:49.000 Knowing at its core that There was going to be a huge political realignment in a way where the Democrats still are reacting, and you know who supports it the most?
00:10:01.000 Immigrants.
00:10:02.000 That's right.
00:10:02.000 Do you know that legal first-generation immigrants, foreign-born immigrants, are actually more hawkish on immigration than Americans?
00:10:11.000 There's a national focus on eating all the healthiest of foods, and that's great news for Balance of Nature.
00:10:17.000 Their method of producing a vibrant nutritional supplement is second to none.
00:10:21.000 While so many others use chemicals and additives, Balance and Nature is made solely from whole food ingredients.
00:10:26.000 While other methods sacrifice nutritional quality for the sake of profits and volume, Balance and Nature's advanced vacuum-cold process involves freeze-drying the fruits and veggies into a fine powder, helping to retain as much nutritional value as possible.
00:10:40.000 Compared to the other inferior methods, which cut corners at your expense.
00:10:44.000 Balance of Nature packs a nutritional punch, and that's the whole reason for taking Balance of Nature, getting the most nutrition for the sake of your health.

00:11:09.000 This is the fight we've been waiting for.
00:11:13.000 You see, the Democrats, they're making a major strategic error, but they're not going to, regardless of what I say on the show, they're not going to stop because they are enthused with pathological energy when it comes to open borders.
00:11:26.000 Open borders is the life force of the globalist elite.
00:11:30.000 It is a baseline fundamental belief of the Democrat party.
00:11:34.000 Thou End of story.
00:11:38.000 We are the only political movement to say, no mas, no more, hasta la vista, adios.
00:11:43.000 The Democrat Party built their entire coalition on the great replacement reality.
00:11:48.000 We are going to have millions of people come into the country and try to replace the native-born population to change the politic.
00:11:56.000 If you can't win elections because the people don't support you, well, then change the people.
00:12:01.000 Replace them.
00:12:01.000 And so just flood it with...
00:12:05.000 Do you know we actually don't know how many illegals are in this country?
00:12:09.000 Do you know it's kind of a guesstimate?
00:12:12.000 It could be 20 million, it could be 30 million, it could be 40 million.
00:12:15.000 We have no idea.
00:12:17.000 A couple thoughts on this.
00:12:18.000 So Kim Kardashian has come out this morning.
00:12:20.000 Oh my goodness, it's terrible.
00:12:21.000 We're told that ICE exists to just keep our country safe and remove violent criminals.
00:12:25.000 Blah, blah, blah, blah.
00:12:26.000 You know, immigrants are terrific.
00:12:27.000 But you don't understand Kim Kardashian.
00:12:29.000 Do you understand that every single one of these people, they're actually in violation of federal law?
00:12:34.000 Number one, it's a federal crime to enter and remain in the U.S. without permission.
00:12:37.000 8 U.S.C.
00:12:38.000 1325.
00:12:39.000 Illegal entry.
00:12:41.000 That's right.
00:12:41.000 Illegal entry.
00:12:42.000 It's a felony.
00:12:44.000 Failure to register with the government is a crime.
00:12:46.000 8USC 1302-1312.
00:12:48.000 That's right.
00:12:48.000 You actually, if you are here illegally, do you know that you must tell the government and be fingerprinted after 30 days?
00:12:54.000 Do you know that if you're here illegally, you have to tell the government every year of your address?
00:12:59.000 8USC 1305.
00:13:00.000 How many of these illegals are telling the federal government, here is my address every single year?
00:13:07.000 I bet there's like eight in the history of mass migration that have ever done this.
00:13:12.000 They're all breaking federal law.
00:13:15.000 So people say, oh, we only want to deport the criminals.
00:13:18.000 This is not just cherry-picking.
00:13:19.000 This is straight, mainstream federal law enforcement.
00:13:25.000 18 U.S.C.
00:13:26.000 1546, using fake documents to enter or stay as a felony.
00:13:29.000 How about this one?
00:13:30.000 8 U.S.C.
00:13:31.000 1305, must notify the government of your current address every year.
00:13:35.000 Also, fake visas, green cards, social security numbers, which they all use, called document fraud.
00:13:41.000 18 U.S.C.
00:13:42.000 1546.
00:13:44.000 Identity theft.
00:13:44.000 To be able to work.
00:13:46.000 That is 18 U.S.C.
00:13:50.000 10281028A.
00:13:51.000 Or how about working without authorization violates federal law?
00:13:54.000 18 U.S.C.
00:13:56.000 1311342A.
00:13:57.000 Or re-entry after deportation is a felony.
00:14:00.000 8 U.S.C.
00:14:01.000 1326.
00:14:03.000 And some of these, by the way, they'll say, oh, you know, some of those are civil.
00:14:05.000 Actually, some of these are not civil misdemeanors.
00:14:07.000 Some of these are not.
00:14:08.000 These are hard, cold felonies.
00:14:11.000 And now, Kim Kardashian's like, oh, you know, we have to keep the borders open.
00:14:15.000 Okay, Kim, how about I send this to your palatial mansion?
00:14:19.000 How about I send Eswin?
00:14:21.000 You want to go hang out with him?
00:14:24.000 This is who you are supporting, Kim Kardashian, just so we are clear.
00:14:28.000 Eswin Uriel Castro.
00:14:30.000 ICE arrested Eswin Uriel Castro, a previously deported illegal alien, has criminal convictions for child molestation and being armed with a dangerous weapon.
00:14:39.000 He's also previously been arrested for robbery and domestic violence.
00:14:42.000 I have a new cast member for Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
00:14:46.000 Gerardo Antonio Palasoyas, an illegal alien from Mexico.
00:14:51.000 He used criminal convictions for homicide and burglary.
00:14:55.000 How's that, Kim?
00:14:59.000 These are the people that we are currently deporting that you are trying to get in the way of.
00:15:03.000 The rioting, the burning of cars, Waymo's going after cops.
00:15:07.000 They want Antonio Benito Giurgarte to stay.
00:15:11.000 What is him?
00:15:11.000 He seems like a really nice fella.
00:15:13.000 An illegal alien.
00:15:14.000 Oh, he's been convicted of drug trafficking.
00:15:18.000 And no, not Ozempic Kim Kardashian, like actual hard drugs.
00:15:22.000 How about Mob Kleb?
00:15:23.000 This guy sounds, he's sweet.
00:15:25.000 This one is a perfect cast member for the Hollywood elite.
00:15:30.000 ICE Los Angeles arrested Mob Kaleb, a 53-year-old illegal, oh, from Cambodia.
00:15:36.000 He just wanted a better life.
00:15:37.000 He just wanted to improve his well-being.
00:15:40.000 Well, he has a criminal history of transport of controlled substance, possession of controlled substance, oh, and a lewd action with a child, and battery.
00:15:48.000 These are just four examples in the last couple of days of real people, real stories, That Joe Biden let them be here, and ICE is finding them, and ICE is removing them.
00:15:59.000 And every single illegal alien has broken federal law.
00:16:03.000 I just went through all the different details.
00:16:05.000 And the final point I'll make is this, and we have Senator Eric Schmidt joining us.
00:16:08.000 This is a strike zone issue for us.
00:16:12.000 Rarely, everybody, do you get the trifecta, an issue that is popular, an issue that is mandatory to save civilization, and an issue.
00:16:25.000 And this qualifies all three.
00:16:27.000 With all the talk about tariffs, high prices, and the stock market, most people are feeling the financial pinch.
00:16:34.000 If that's you, don't liquidate stocks and take a loss before calling my friends Andrew Del Rey and Todd Avakian at Sierra Pacific Mortgage.
00:16:42.000 They can look at helping you reduce your mortgage payments, consolidate those high-interest credit cards, pay student loan debt, or whatever you need, They're one of the rare banks in America that hasn't changed their name or their values in nearly four decades.
00:16:57.000 They really are the experts.
00:16:59.000 They've helped me, and they make it so easy.
00:17:02.000 They'll listen to your needs and find real financial solutions based on what you know today.
00:17:07.000 They can help you get your financial house in order.
00:17:09.000 So don't panic.
00:17:10.000 Call Andrew and Todd.
00:17:11.000 They're the guys I trust with my finances, and they can help you too.
00:17:15.000 888-888-1172.
00:17:17.000 That is 888-1172 or online at andrewandtodd.com.
00:17:21.000 That's andrewandtodd.com.
00:17:25.000 Joining us now is Senator Eric Schmidt.
00:17:28.000 We agree on everything except for the fact he's a Cardinals fan.
00:17:32.000 Go Cubs!
00:17:33.000 Who's number one in the NL Central right now?
00:17:35.000 It's amazingly the Chicago Cubs, second best team in baseball.
00:17:38.000 It's great.
00:17:39.000 The Cubs haven't been good for like 10 years and I'm enjoying actually watching them.
00:17:43.000 So I think it's going to be a baseball game tonight.
00:17:46.000 As you know, Cubs stands for completely useless by September, so be glad it's just June.
00:17:51.000 Listen, we win a World Series every 108 years, and that's great.
00:17:55.000 Okay?
00:17:55.000 It's kind of like seeing...
00:18:13.000 Listen, these things happen kind of when the divine stars align.
00:18:17.000 I'll never forget.
00:18:19.000 Cubs win the World Series and President Donald Trump becomes elected president in 2016.
00:18:24.000 How dare you?
00:18:25.000 I can't believe you threw that.
00:18:27.000 Within like 72 hours, okay?
00:18:29.000 And of course, in the most Cubbies way imaginable, it was Game 7, extra innings.
00:18:36.000 And my grandma, may she rest in peace, she seemed like every Cubs game since 1949, right?
00:18:41.000 She literally would fill out the scorecard.
00:18:43.000 I'll never forget.
00:18:44.000 We go to extra innings and she says one thing.
00:18:46.000 We're going to blow it.
00:18:47.000 I said, you are the most proven Cubs fan ever.
00:18:53.000 She's like, we are going to blow this.
00:18:55.000 And when we won, it was almost like, wait, we won the world.
00:19:00.000 It's hard.
00:19:01.000 I mean, Senator, you'd get it.
00:19:02.000 I don't want to spend much time on this, but the audience can't understand the weight.
00:19:06.000 It was for the Cubs to not win a World Series.
00:19:08.000 And because people like you would constantly be taunting us.
00:19:11.000 Well, there was a lot.
00:19:12.000 Yes, that's right.
00:19:13.000 Well, as you know, the Cardinals are the crown jewel of the National League with 11 World Series, second only to the Yankees.
00:19:20.000 So I guess, you know, every 108 years.
00:19:23.000 Something like that's bound to happen.
00:19:24.000 I'm happy for your grandmother.
00:19:26.000 That's right.
00:19:26.000 And so my great-grandkids will enjoy the next World Series.
00:19:31.000 And so I will say, though, I think that we have a World Series more recently than you guys.
00:19:35.000 2011.
00:19:36.000 It's true.
00:19:37.000 2011 versus 2016.
00:19:38.000 That's true.
00:19:39.000 You have that on us, so we've got to change that.
00:19:41.000 It's going to be a fun summer, and I hope we can enjoy some good spirit at NL Central Baseball.
00:19:48.000 Speaking of which, though, it's a funny side note.
00:19:49.000 You guys have the congressional baseball game tonight, is that right?
00:19:52.000 Yeah, we've got it tonight.
00:19:54.000 Playing left field.
00:19:56.000 And last year we won 31-11.
00:19:58.000 So it's pretty – There's 30,000 people there at Nats Park.
00:20:05.000 Charlie, it's on Fox Sports 1 and C-SPAN if you want to tune in.
00:20:09.000 It's fun, but we've got a pretty...
00:20:11.000 You know, Stuby and Pfluger and myself, but we got some So hopefully we can put up some runs tonight.
00:20:22.000 So it's really funny.
00:20:23.000 Democrats used to win all the congressional baseball games like 10 years ago.
00:20:26.000 And then, as the Democrat Party has become super old, full of women and a tranny, it's really hard to play baseball, and the Republican Party is more masculine and younger.
00:20:38.000 Again, this is not even like, it's kind of a joke, but it is an interesting data point that the baseball game is a reflection of the current composition of your party.
00:20:47.000 Yeah, no, it is.
00:20:49.000 I think we're younger, we're better.
00:20:51.000 I'm the only senator that...
00:20:55.000 Joni Ernst plays, but the only starter.
00:20:57.000 So it's a lot of house members.
00:20:58.000 But, you know, and for me, that's been great.
00:21:00.000 You get to know these guys.
00:21:02.000 Scalise is still out there.
00:21:03.000 He leads off the game, as you know, in 2017.
00:21:06.000 I mean, he almost died.
00:21:07.000 So it's a remarkable story.
00:21:09.000 But, yeah, we get after it in the mornings, like 5.45 in the morning for practice.
00:21:13.000 Crazy.
00:21:14.000 So tonight, it's all on the field.
00:21:16.000 Yeah, and by the way, just so everyone remembers, that was literally, like, what, eight years ago.
00:21:21.000 Steve Scalise was shot.
00:21:23.000 And nearly killed at a congressional baseball game practice by a Democrat.
00:21:28.000 A Democrat came and tried to murder him.
00:21:31.000 All right, so Senator, you're in a little bit of a feud right now with the president of Mexico.
00:21:37.000 Tell us about it.
00:21:39.000 Yeah, I mean, we were actually honestly working on this remittance reform.
00:21:45.000 So the House put, like right now, if you're an illegal immigrant and you send money back to Mexico, There's no tax on that, right?
00:21:53.000 So, in the House version, they put a 3.5% tax on that.
00:21:56.000 We were already working.
00:21:58.000 To double that, like, on the Senate side, as that's come over here, I've filed that bill.
00:22:03.000 That's an issue that's important to me.
00:22:04.000 I think it does a couple things we can talk about, like discourage illegal immigration and fairness, because a lot of these folks are being paid under the table.
00:22:12.000 And they ought to, you know, like Americans pay taxes, they should pay taxes too.
00:22:16.000 And then the president of Mexico issues this threat that if, like, if this remittance tax goes in, you know, we're going to rise up.
00:22:24.000 It was very strange.
00:22:26.000 And so I went on X and said, well, that's interesting.
00:22:28.000 How about 15% now?
00:22:30.000 And then the president of the Mexican Senate talked about it yesterday, and I said, well, how about 20%?
00:22:38.000 So let's just keep going with this.
00:22:39.000 But it is interesting.
00:22:41.000 it's like 4% of their GDP is from this remittance that comes from the United States and my position is Like, we're a sovereign country, and you ought to be taxed on these remittances.
00:22:53.000 So I'm hopeful that we'll get that number up from the House bill on the Senate side.
00:22:56.000 And look, we are a sovereign country.
00:22:57.000 And if you want to send money home, just principally, we're not necessarily against that.
00:23:05.000 What this is about, though, is that this has become a primary subsidy as to why mass migration is happening.
00:23:11.000 It's a forcing function.
00:23:12.000 Right?
00:23:13.000 And so, let's just be very clear.
00:23:15.000 If you come here, you know, legally from Vietnam, you want to send money, that's not the problem.
00:23:19.000 The problem is that, therefore, the Mexican government is financially incentivized to keep the invasion going.
00:23:27.000 That's why remittances are so important.
00:23:29.000 We're not trying to be cruel or unusual.
00:23:32.000 It's that the Mexican government has turned a blind eye for quite some time, and it's literally tens of billions of dollars.
00:23:38.000 Okay, I want to play two pieces of tape here.
00:23:39.000 First is...
00:23:41.000 I don't know who she thinks she is or what cards she thinks she's holding, or she's saying that she'll unleash the cartels against us.
00:23:48.000 That's the only card she really has.
00:23:50.000 Playcut 252.
00:23:51.000 If needed, we will definitely mobilize because we absolutely cannot accept any new taxes on remittances sent by our hardworking folks in the U.S. to their families back home in Mexico.
00:24:02.000 Okay, what does she mean by mobilize, Senator?
00:24:05.000 I don't know.
00:24:06.000 That's sort of strange.
00:24:06.000 I don't know, but you don't have to probably guess, go too far out on a limb.
00:24:12.000 The truth is that this mass migration that we've seen that needs to be met with mass deportations is fueled by this international NGO network that, you know, in most the insult to injury, American taxpayers were subsidizing through USAID in many instances, right?
00:24:29.000 But they know exactly what they're sending a signal.
00:24:31.000 She's sending a signal that in the United States, what, you know, it should be no coincidence this happened around the time that the, you know, the L.A. riots were starting, that somehow this is like...
00:24:42.000 I don't know exactly what it means, but we're going to mobilize.
00:24:44.000 I don't know what that means, but...
00:24:51.000 I know I don't, and that's why I think that this issue, which was important anyway, I think becomes even more front and center because of her comments.
00:24:59.000 Let's play here.
00:25:00.000 This is now the president of the Mexican Senate.
00:25:02.000 I think he's mocking you.
00:25:04.000 This is in Spanish, but with subtitles.
00:25:07.000 Yeah, so basically for the podcast audience that doesn't speak Spanish, he's mocking you, but it's worth playing.
00:25:12.000 Let's play cut 449.
00:25:13.000 Okay, so at the end he's saying, Did I hear that?
00:25:43.000 Was I referred to as the devil?
00:25:45.000 Yeah, I mean, I think it was dialogue, actually.
00:25:48.000 I don't think he was quite calling you Diablo.
00:25:51.000 But the part that was important is en fuego on gasoline.
00:25:55.000 So these are kind of very—it's very interesting.
00:25:57.000 I want everyone to remember.
00:25:58.000 I want to introduce a third data point.
00:26:00.000 So we have the president of Mexico, Steinbaum.
00:26:04.000 We have this president of the U.S., the Mexican Senate.
00:26:06.000 And do you remember under Joe Biden, the obrador?
00:26:10.000 Do you remember— That he also similarly threatened.
00:26:14.000 He was like, if you don't give us our aid money, you're not going to like what happens.
00:26:18.000 And that was like a lesser covered story.
00:26:20.000 It just kind of went away.
00:26:21.000 And Biden just kind of like flooded in a ton of capital to Mexico.
00:26:29.000 So, Senator, I don't want to speculate too much, but are they threatening the United States of America?
00:26:34.000 It sure seems that way.
00:26:36.000 And I don't, again, I don't know exactly what they mean by mobilize or throwing fuel on the fire.
00:26:43.000 I mean, if you put it in the context of the time in which they're making these comments, you have an American city burning with people waving Mexican flags, right?
00:26:55.000 Maybe it's a signal that's being sent, which, again, is I think why President Trump's leadership is so important to get the National Guard there to help to end this thing.
00:27:04.000 But I think that, Charlie, for the...
00:27:16.000 a lot of our leadership, Republican and Democrat, sort of seeded a lot of important aspects of whether it's related to trade, how we, you know, engage in foreign conflicts and sending, you know, our boys off to fight in foreign wars.
00:27:29.000 There's been this sort of globalist end of history kind of moment where people thought that everybody, you know, that...
00:27:46.000 Like that's what was exposed with all this doge stuff.
00:27:49.000 But it also is a mentality that somehow people in other countries are entitled to our money.
00:27:55.000 And that's not the case.
00:27:56.000 We can make those decisions only if it furthers the interests of the United States of America.
00:28:01.000 But you don't just get it.
00:28:04.000 We're not the piggy bank.
00:28:06.000 You know, we're not the patron for all of these ridiculous causes, and we certainly shouldn't be to funnel an effort to, you know, bring...
00:28:18.000 So I think this is tied together as sort of globalist mindset, mass migration.
00:28:22.000 It's all part of it.
00:28:23.000 And they're mad that the United States is maybe changing direction here.

00:29:21.000 Senator, Big Beautiful Bill, what's going on here?
00:29:24.000 Some of your colleagues are putting up a real fight on behalf of fiscal conservatism.
00:29:29.000 Where are the negotiations?
00:29:30.000 After these riots and after this bedlam, it is mandatory that we pass the Big Beautiful Bill.
00:29:36.000 It is mission critical.
00:29:37.000 I agree.
00:29:38.000 I think that the border provisions, the immigration law enforcement It's on full display as to why, when you see what's happening right now, when you literally have people who are trying to prevent ICE from enforcing immigration law and deport people, which is exactly what President Trump ran on.
00:29:56.000 So we need more detention facilities.
00:29:58.000 We need more ICE agents.
00:29:59.000 We need more enforcement efforts.
00:30:01.000 We need more deportations, right?
00:30:03.000 And so the bill does go a long way.
00:30:04.000 And I think everybody's very supportive of that.
00:30:07.000 And I think the reasons why are highlighted on the television screen every night now.
00:30:12.000 And I think as it made its way to the Senate, the House did great work on this.
00:30:16.000 And I think the Senate, we're actually, we have a lunch today to talk about it.
00:30:20.000 I'm actually going to be visiting with President Trump later today to talk about some of the provisions.
00:30:23.000 I think the Senate wants to make sure if we can find more savings, we want to go do that.
00:30:28.000 And I think that will make the big, beautiful bill even more beautiful.
00:30:31.000 But I will say that I think everybody's united that at the end of the day, we get this thing done.
00:30:36.000 It's got a lot of President Trump's priorities.
00:30:38.000 They're very, very popular with the American people and the things that he ran on.
00:30:41.000 So I'm still very optimistic.
00:30:43.000 I think we're aiming for the 4th of July on the Senate side.
00:30:46.000 And then that would give a couple of weeks that, you know.
00:30:51.000 And so, Senator, part of the provisions as far as cost savings, I know that there is some fear that we're not going to be able to send it back to the U.S. House to be able to get those through, but there's so much good stuff that we hope stays.
00:31:07.000 No tax on tips.
00:31:09.000 Major border security, increase in ICE agents.
00:31:12.000 So what are the elements then you think that will be emphasized or focused on between your colleagues to find those cost savings?
00:31:19.000 Well, there's just nobody in the Senate that really likes what was done with SALT.
00:31:24.000 You know, and you look at what's happening in California, the subsidizing the terrible policy decisions of blue state governors.
00:31:31.000 There's just not a, there's not support for that in the Senate.
00:31:33.000 I, having said that, um, we understand the, um, So we're very well aware of that.
00:31:45.000 But you're talking about hundreds of billions of dollars, again, to subsidize terrible decisions in New York and California and Illinois.
00:31:53.000 My neighbor, J.B. Pritzker, right?
00:31:55.000 So there's definitely a conversation about that, what we can do to find savings there.
00:32:00.000 We just talked about the remittance tax.
00:32:02.000 That would add billions, bringing more revenue in by taxing remittances from Illinois.
00:32:07.000 I think that we're trying to figure out a place where we can maximize the savings, but also deliver on President Trump's promises.
00:32:23.000 And I'm very optimistic that we're going to get there.
00:32:26.000 And we have to unlock growth, right?
00:32:29.000 We got to get to a 3% to 4% growth calculus.
00:32:31.000 We have to, which is about...
00:32:36.000 I think there's some pent-up investment demand that is just willing to be unleashed in our country right now.
00:32:42.000 And you've got the artificial intelligence.
00:32:44.000 You have a blue-collar boom that is really waiting to happen.
00:32:49.000 And so, kind of final question, Senator, are you bullish that this is all going to work out?
00:32:53.000 I am.
00:32:54.000 And you've got to remember, the reconciliation thing, it's a big thing.
00:32:57.000 The Big Beautiful Bill is a big thing, but it's one piece to all of this too, right?
00:33:00.000 We have rescissions packages to codify the Doge reforms.
00:33:04.000 That'll be important.
00:33:05.000 We have the normal appropriations process, which is for discretionary spending, the reconciliations for the mandatory spending.
00:33:12.000 And then you also have what I think President Trump's about to do, which is to finally rebalance trade so we stop getting ripped off around the world.
00:33:19.000 you talked about that demand that's out there.
00:33:22.000 I think once we get I think you're going to see a lot of economic growth from that, too.
00:33:28.000 So you put all of those things together, and if we actually get all that stuff done this year, which I'm confident that we will, you're going to see, again, I think this golden age of America that President Trump's talked about and enough runway for that to happen before 2028.
00:33:42.000 Thank you so much, Senator Schmidt.
00:33:44.000 Keep it up.
00:33:45.000 Good luck tonight, and go Cubs.
00:33:47.000 All right.
00:33:47.000 Thanks, Charlie.
00:33:48.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
