00:00:45.000We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:02:24.000This is the first time in 113 years that a Speaker of the House is facing a motion to vacate vote.
00:02:32.000And in 1910, it was used when Republican House Speaker Joseph Cannon filed a motion to vacate against himself in order to quell a party rebellion by proving he still had a mandate.
00:02:44.000So let's just go through all of the details and all the facts because there's so much chatter out there and people calling each other names on both sides.
00:02:53.000Let's walk through exactly the facts here, what this involves, and then we're going to ask the question: is this a good idea?
00:03:02.000I think the world of Matt Gates, but he's going to have to answer the question, is this a good idea?
00:03:06.000Okay, a motion to vacate is a motion by a single member of Congress to call on the House to consider by an up or down vote, the whole House, not just Republicans, dismissing a speaker.
00:03:19.000In full, the name is quote, resolution to vacate the office of the speaker.
00:03:26.000A motion to vacate is a quote privileged resolution, which means it gets immediately moved ahead of all other House business.
00:03:36.000It gets moved to the front of the line.
00:03:38.000The House must vote on it within two legislative days.
00:03:43.000Though they could buy more time by going into recess, but that's probably not going to happen.
00:03:48.000So the motion succeeds through a simple up or down majority vote.
00:03:55.000If it succeeds, then McCarthy is no longer speaker and the house goes exactly back to where we were in January.
00:04:02.000And also, the committees, the assignments that we've seen, the weaponization of government committee, a lot of this stuff goes into suspension because without a speaker, there really is no business of the house.
00:04:15.000So there does not have to be an immediate replacement at hand.
00:04:17.000You're just going to have basically the same sort of circus that we saw back in January, just go through itself again.
00:04:27.000So the House would then proceed immediately to a new speaker election, just like the one we had in last January.
00:04:35.000Now, again, this has not been used in over 113 years.
00:05:25.000But when leaders don't do that, you get a set of preconditions that can best be described as chaos.
00:05:34.000So the Republican House majority is still extremely narrow.
00:05:38.000And Gates only needs four other Republicans to join him for McCarthy to lose his majority.
00:05:44.000So if that happens, the only way that Kevin can remain speaker then is by the support of Democrats.
00:05:50.000But Democrats are saying, we are all going to vote to remove you as speaker, Speaker McCarthy.
00:05:55.000We, as a bloc, are going to remove you, Speaker McCarthy.
00:05:58.000Every Democrat, remember, the Democrats, they don't go through any of this stuff.
00:06:03.000And in some ways, that is, you know, a good thing.
00:06:07.000And also, honestly, I'm glad that our party is not just like the Borg from Star Trek with no individual thought, some sort of commissar pollut bureau.
00:06:18.000At times, it could be rather frustrating, but I'm glad that we are not some sort of collectivist, communist, Marxist, totalitarian political party.
00:06:28.000But again, you think Pelosi would put up with this?
00:06:31.000If someone would have tried to do, if AOC, for example, would have been like, I'm going to do a motion to vacate against Nancy Pelosi, she would have been audited.
00:06:39.000Her parking pass would have been, you know, would have been voided.
00:06:43.000There would be like a dead horse's head in AOC's bed by the next time she woke up.
00:06:48.000Her boyfriend would be fired at whatever job.
00:06:50.000And her like third removed aunt would be deported from the country.
00:07:22.000So here's what is going to happen: probably as early as this afternoon.
00:07:28.000Kevin McCarthy, the current Speaker of the House, is going to bring this to a vote to the U.S. House of Representatives.
00:07:36.000And by up or down vote, the House is going to have to decide.
00:07:41.000And what is almost certainly going to happen is five or six Republicans are going to vote with all the Democrats, and Kevin McCarthy will likely be fired as Speaker of the House.
00:07:54.000So then we're going to be without a speaker.
00:07:57.000Now, I know that based on the emails, there's a lot of rejoicing and a lot of celebration that Kevin will no longer be speaker.
00:08:04.000But then I ask the question the same way that you think, hey, let's get rid of this person.
00:08:11.000Bad example, but it's very similar to kind of neoconservatism foreign policy, which is, let's get rid of this and then we're going to get something better.
00:08:19.000Well, sometimes you get something worse.
00:08:21.000Sometimes you get something far worse.
00:08:24.000Back in January, there were a few Republicans who made noises about negotiating a deal with Democrats for a moderate speaker.
00:08:32.000If the Republican caucus crumbles and it looks like we might get a government shutdown a month from now, there might be a very anti-shutdown Republicans to make a deal to elect a Democrat or to elect a left-wing Republican with Democrat support.
00:08:46.000Let me read you a real text message, okay?
00:09:27.000I see it from all, because honestly, at my core, I'm also kind of of the perspective of when will Republicans actually represent their voters?
00:09:36.000So I see it from that perspective too.
00:09:39.000Debt ceiling, CR, Ukraine, open border, Jack Smith.
00:09:43.000It's like, how many hits are we supposed to take here?
00:09:48.000But we also must pause and ask the question: what does success look like?
00:09:55.000Who are we going to now have as speaker?
00:09:58.000And now that we are in the middle of a continuing resolution for a chance to get actual spending cuts, which probably won't happen, we're going to have to now relitigate the speaker fight.
00:10:09.000I'm going to tell you more details about this, but I just wanted to set the table of exactly what's happening because this afternoon, Kevin McCarthy will likely be fired as Speaker of the House.
00:10:21.000For 10 years, Patriot Mobile has been America's only Christian wireless provider.
00:10:26.000And when I say only, trust me, they're the only one.
00:10:28.000Patriot Mobile offers dependable nationwide coverage, giving you the ability to access all three major networks, which means you get the same coverage you've been accustomed to without funding the left.
00:10:38.000When you switch to Patriot Mobile, you're sending a message that you support free speech, religious liberty, and sanctity of life.
00:10:44.000Second Amendment are military and first responder heroes.
00:10:47.000They're 100% U.S.-based customer service team.
00:12:15.000Now, the fact that this motion has not been used in over 113 years is very interesting and telling because I actually don't think the anger, the rage, the fury that all of us are feeling is unwarranted.
00:13:22.000How many Republican AGs are using any of their investigative power to go after some of the Democrat operative groups that are obviously not operating under the law?
00:14:16.000Again, the best argument for the House of Representatives being read is not what they do, but it's what they don't do.
00:14:23.000I know this is an unbelievably depressing argument.
00:14:26.000It doesn't exactly motivate people to go to the polls, but at least they're not trying to get rid of the Electoral College, add D.C. and Puerto Rico as a state, and pass HR1.
00:16:02.000And we're going to have some of these people on the show.
00:16:04.000Matt Gates, Eli Crane, Bob Good, Andy Biggs, and Congressman Burchett, who currently will probably vote to vacate, and the entire Democrat caucus will likely vote to vacate.
00:16:18.000At that point, it will put all congressional business into suspension and bring us right back to where we were in January.

00:18:24.000Saying that the guy that has been leading the charge against Ukraine funding and asking for the mobilization and calling for government shutdown is that I'm on the side of the Unit Party.
00:18:59.000Right now, Hakeem Jeffries is celebrating this whole thing.
00:19:04.000Hakeem Jeffries and the Democrats, they love it.
00:19:06.000So here's what's going to happen, and it's a fact: the people that will then vote for motion to vacate will be siding with every single Democrat.
00:19:14.000So just so we're clear, the people that will be the most excited to vacate the chair will be the Democrat Party.
00:19:21.000Does that change your calculation at all?
00:19:24.000Probably not, because based on the tone of the audience, is blood, metaphorically.
00:19:32.000There is a bloodthirst I've never seen before in the base of the Republican Party.
00:19:37.000And there really is no convincing people otherwise.
00:21:02.000He can sit down and retire and become a highly paid lobbyist, or he can seek and receive support of Democrats and be saddled by requiring their continued support for as long as he can take it.
00:25:29.000Kevin McCarthy's going to get his wish.
00:25:31.000I don't think the adult in the room would allow America to sit atop a $33 trillion debt facing $2.2 trillion annual deficits.
00:25:39.000I don't think the adult in the room would allow $8 trillion of this debt to come into refinancing at a higher level without serious spending cuts.
00:25:49.000And I don't think the adult in the room would lie to House conservatives.
00:25:52.000And that is exactly what Kevin McCarthy did.
00:25:55.000I think Matt made some good points there.
00:25:57.000I'm just curious, what is the strategy here?
00:27:25.000When the government used emergency edicts during COVID to restrict the gathering and worship of churches, three pastors facing the risk of imprisonment, unlimited fines, and their own churches being ripped apart took a courageous stand and reopened their doors in the face of a world that chose to comply.
00:27:41.000The Essential Church is a feature-length documentary that explores the struggle between the church and government throughout history.
00:27:48.000The story uncovers those who have sacrificed their lives throughout history for what they believe in.
00:27:53.000Rediscover why the church is essential and how we prove this stand remains true from a scientific, legal, and most importantly, a theological and biblical perspective.
00:28:40.000In fact, I invite disagreement to the front of the line.
00:28:44.000I do want to just ask the question, though, which I think is important, which is now that we are 10 months into the Congress, vacating the chair of Kevin McCarthy, which, you know, based on 99% of the emails want Kevin completely removed, who should replace him?
00:29:20.000But I think this is also, this needs to be said that Speaker McCarthy, I don't know this for a fact, that he regrets probably doing the CR.
00:29:34.000And in some ways, he pushed it a little bit too hard.
00:31:02.000And I also want to make sure my position is clear.
00:31:05.000This whole thing about expelling Matt Gates, who is one of the most talented, one of the most important people in the entire conservative movement, to try to expel him, to write that in the Washington Post, man, that bothers me.
00:31:27.000We have mutual admiration, but we see this one completely differently, like completely on different planets.
00:31:35.000And I think one of the buried leads about this entire thing, and it just so happens that McCarthy is wrong place, wrong time, Is 11 years, 15 years of just delayed promises, one-off kind of whisper campaigns.
00:31:56.000And eventually people are saying, we're done.
