00:00:57.000 Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com.
00:01:06.000 So Matt Gates did it.
00:01:09.000 Matt Gates has been flirting with this for a couple of weeks, a couple of months, teasing it on Twitter.
00:01:16.000 In fact, Eric Swalwell a couple weeks ago said, I've never seen anyone talk as big of a game as Matt Gates and not do anything.
00:01:23.000 And Matt Gates said, save this tweet, dudes.
00:01:26.000 Like, I'm going to show you.
00:01:28.000 Of course, we went through the shutdown conversation, which was not even a shutdown.
00:01:34.000 It would have been a temporary pause in government spending.
00:01:38.000 Temporary pause in some government business.
00:01:41.000 We lost the messaging war on that.
00:01:43.000 We capitulated.
00:01:45.000 So the Speaker of the House, as of this broadcast, is Kevin McCarthy.
00:01:51.000 We remember all the drama that happened in January.
00:01:56.000 Now, you, right now, unless you are 113 years old, you have not lived through a motion to vacate the speaker.
00:02:04.000 So this is new for everybody.
00:02:08.000 Everybody.
00:02:09.000 There's no one that can go on TV and say, you know, I've been through this before.
00:02:12.000 Nope.
00:02:13.000 No one's been through this.
00:02:14.000 John Boehner has not been through this before.
00:02:15.000 Newt Gingrich has not been through this before.
00:02:18.000 The perv Denny Hassert has not been through this before.
00:02:21.000 Nancy Pelosi has not been through this before.
00:02:24.000 No one.
00:02:24.000 This is the first time in 113 years that a Speaker of the House is facing a motion to vacate vote.
00:02:32.000 And in 1910, it was used when Republican House Speaker Joseph Cannon filed a motion to vacate against himself in order to quell a party rebellion by proving he still had a mandate.
00:02:44.000 So let's just go through all of the details and all the facts because there's so much chatter out there and people calling each other names on both sides.
00:02:51.000 We're going to take a step back.
00:02:53.000 Let's walk through exactly the facts here, what this involves, and then we're going to ask the question: is this a good idea?
00:03:02.000 I think the world of Matt Gates, but he's going to have to answer the question, is this a good idea?
00:03:06.000 Okay, a motion to vacate is a motion by a single member of Congress to call on the House to consider by an up or down vote, the whole House, not just Republicans, dismissing a speaker.
00:03:19.000 In full, the name is quote, resolution to vacate the office of the speaker.
00:03:26.000 A motion to vacate is a quote privileged resolution, which means it gets immediately moved ahead of all other House business.
00:03:36.000 It gets moved to the front of the line.
00:03:38.000 The House must vote on it within two legislative days.
00:03:43.000 Though they could buy more time by going into recess, but that's probably not going to happen.
00:03:48.000 So the motion succeeds through a simple up or down majority vote.
00:03:53.000 The whole House votes.
00:03:55.000 If it succeeds, then McCarthy is no longer speaker and the house goes exactly back to where we were in January.
00:04:02.000 And also, the committees, the assignments that we've seen, the weaponization of government committee, a lot of this stuff goes into suspension because without a speaker, there really is no business of the house.
00:04:15.000 So there does not have to be an immediate replacement at hand.
00:04:17.000 You're just going to have basically the same sort of circus that we saw back in January, just go through itself again.
00:04:27.000 So the House would then proceed immediately to a new speaker election, just like the one we had in last January.
00:04:35.000 Now, again, this has not been used in over 113 years.
00:04:39.000 This is very serious stuff.
00:04:41.000 Very serious stuff.
00:04:42.000 And I'm going to go through why this is happening later in the program.
00:04:46.000 It's happening because Republicans have not listened to their voters and they've ignored you for the last 20 or 30 years.
00:04:52.000 And it's created the inevitable volcanic eruption in Washington, D.C.
00:04:58.000 That has to be communicated.
00:05:00.000 When leaders ignore their voters, you're going to get unprecedented activity.
00:05:06.000 The disconnect is so massive between what you are demanding them to do: secure the border, defund Jack Smith, balance the budget.
00:05:13.000 Those are the top three priorities of the base.
00:05:15.000 Secure the border, take care of Jack Smith, balance the budget, or otherwise own as cut spending and also take care of the Ukraine thing.
00:05:22.000 That's not unrealistic stuff.
00:05:25.000 But when leaders don't do that, you get a set of preconditions that can best be described as chaos.
00:05:34.000 So the Republican House majority is still extremely narrow.
00:05:38.000 And Gates only needs four other Republicans to join him for McCarthy to lose his majority.
00:05:44.000 So if that happens, the only way that Kevin can remain speaker then is by the support of Democrats.
00:05:50.000 But Democrats are saying, we are all going to vote to remove you as speaker, Speaker McCarthy.
00:05:55.000 We, as a bloc, are going to remove you, Speaker McCarthy.
00:05:58.000 Every Democrat, remember, the Democrats, they don't go through any of this stuff.
00:06:03.000 And in some ways, that is, you know, a good thing.
00:06:07.000 And also, honestly, I'm glad that our party is not just like the Borg from Star Trek with no individual thought, some sort of commissar pollut bureau.
00:06:16.000 I'm glad that we have free thinkers.
00:06:18.000 At times, it could be rather frustrating, but I'm glad that we are not some sort of collectivist, communist, Marxist, totalitarian political party.
00:06:28.000 But again, you think Pelosi would put up with this?
00:06:31.000 If someone would have tried to do, if AOC, for example, would have been like, I'm going to do a motion to vacate against Nancy Pelosi, she would have been audited.
00:06:39.000 Her parking pass would have been, you know, would have been voided.
00:06:43.000 There would be like a dead horse's head in AOC's bed by the next time she woke up.
00:06:48.000 Her boyfriend would be fired at whatever job.
00:06:50.000 And her like third removed aunt would be deported from the country.
00:06:55.000 Democrats play for keeps.
00:06:57.000 It's not even a matter that Democrats know how to achieve consensus.
00:07:00.000 It's that Democrats would be terrified because Pelosi would make it personal quickly.
00:07:06.000 There'd be six attack pieces.
00:07:08.000 There would be, is AOC paying her taxes?
00:07:11.000 There would be like a Daily Beast article, Washington Post article.
00:07:13.000 That's all before Nancy Pelosi is done with her first cup of coffee, ruling with an iron fist.
00:07:20.000 Republicans don't play like that.
00:07:22.000 So here's what is going to happen: probably as early as this afternoon.
00:07:28.000 Kevin McCarthy, the current Speaker of the House, is going to bring this to a vote to the U.S. House of Representatives.
00:07:36.000 And by up or down vote, the House is going to have to decide.
00:07:41.000 And what is almost certainly going to happen is five or six Republicans are going to vote with all the Democrats, and Kevin McCarthy will likely be fired as Speaker of the House.
00:07:54.000 So then we're going to be without a speaker.
00:07:57.000 Now, I know that based on the emails, there's a lot of rejoicing and a lot of celebration that Kevin will no longer be speaker.
00:08:04.000 But then I ask the question the same way that you think, hey, let's get rid of this person.
00:08:11.000 Bad example, but it's very similar to kind of neoconservatism foreign policy, which is, let's get rid of this and then we're going to get something better.
00:08:19.000 Well, sometimes you get something worse.
00:08:21.000 Sometimes you get something far worse.
00:08:24.000 Back in January, there were a few Republicans who made noises about negotiating a deal with Democrats for a moderate speaker.
00:08:32.000 If the Republican caucus crumbles and it looks like we might get a government shutdown a month from now, there might be a very anti-shutdown Republicans to make a deal to elect a Democrat or to elect a left-wing Republican with Democrat support.
00:08:46.000 Let me read you a real text message, okay?
00:08:48.000 From a member of Congress.
00:08:49.000 I'm not going to say who, but it's someone who's on our show a lot.
00:08:52.000 She said, I am flaming pissed at Kevin.
00:08:56.000 I can't even put into words, but this is wrong.
00:08:58.000 This is a bad idea.
00:09:00.000 This will suspend all activity of Congress.
00:09:03.000 I will likely vote against Matt's motion.
00:09:05.000 The timing is wrong.
00:09:06.000 This is a huge problem.
00:09:08.000 I'm not going to tell you, well, it's a woman who talks like that, so you could guess who said that.
00:09:12.000 It's only like two or three options.
00:09:15.000 I was texting this morning.
00:09:16.000 So I was just asking, hey, is this a good idea?
00:09:18.000 Is this a bad idea?
00:09:21.000 Our production team guessed correctly.
00:09:22.000 Who do you think sent me that message?
00:09:24.000 Freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:09:26.000 And look, I see it.
00:09:27.000 I see it from all, because honestly, at my core, I'm also kind of of the perspective of when will Republicans actually represent their voters?
00:09:36.000 So I see it from that perspective too.
00:09:39.000 Debt ceiling, CR, Ukraine, open border, Jack Smith.
00:09:43.000 It's like, how many hits are we supposed to take here?
00:09:48.000 But we also must pause and ask the question: what does success look like?
00:09:55.000 Who are we going to now have as speaker?
00:09:58.000 And now that we are in the middle of a continuing resolution for a chance to get actual spending cuts, which probably won't happen, we're going to have to now relitigate the speaker fight.
00:10:09.000 I'm going to tell you more details about this, but I just wanted to set the table of exactly what's happening because this afternoon, Kevin McCarthy will likely be fired as Speaker of the House.
00:10:20.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.

00:11:02.000 Join me in making the switch today.
00:11:04.000 So many people have successfully made the switch and they're very, very happy about it.
00:11:08.000 Go to patriotmobile.com/slash Charlie.
00:11:10.000 I know the team at Patriot Mobile.
00:11:12.000 I trust the team at Patriot Mobile.
00:11:14.000 I think the world of the team at Patriot Mobile.
00:11:16.000 So check it out: patriotmobile.com/slash Charlie or call them at 972Patriot.
00:11:23.000 So we're going to have a vote this afternoon to vacate the chair.
00:11:30.000 So back in January, there were a few Republicans who made noises about negotiating a deal with Democrats for a moderate speaker.
00:11:35.000 So that could also happen.
00:11:37.000 Could also happen if the moderate, like Dusty Johnson, Don Bacon, go and make a deal with the Democrats.
00:11:44.000 And by the way, that means that they could change all the House rules.
00:11:47.000 Just so we're clear, if you get a bad speech, I mean, you might say, okay, Charlie, I hate Kevin.
00:11:52.000 Okay, that's fine.
00:11:53.000 But let's just say you get a different, let's say you get Dusty Johnson or Don Bacon or Tom Emmer.
00:11:57.000 You realize they could change all the rules, get rid of the weaponization of government committee.
00:12:01.000 They could get rid of any of the rules changes, which based on several of the emails, you guys are saying, burn it down, burn it down.
00:12:08.000 One of you say, Matt Gates for speaker.
00:12:10.000 Okay, he'll get three votes.
00:12:12.000 So you need 217.
00:12:15.000 Now, the fact that this motion has not been used in over 113 years is very interesting and telling because I actually don't think the anger, the rage, the fury that all of us are feeling is unwarranted.
00:12:31.000 I don't.
00:12:32.000 I see your thousands of emails.
00:12:34.000 I hear you.
00:12:35.000 This is nothing more than a result of the regime not doing the basic stuff that they have campaigned on.
00:12:48.000 And it's just going to be a complete mess.
00:12:51.000 It is going to be a circus, to put it differently.
00:12:55.000 You see, over the last couple of decades, we have given power.
00:13:03.000 We have voted people into office time and time again to do very basic stuff.
00:13:09.000 Can you balance the budget?
00:13:11.000 Can you cut spending?
00:13:13.000 Can you rein in the Department of Justice?
00:13:15.000 And we've said before, we do not have an opposition party in this country.
00:13:20.000 Can you protect our border?
00:13:22.000 How many Republican AGs are using any of their investigative power to go after some of the Democrat operative groups that are obviously not operating under the law?
00:13:32.000 None.
00:13:34.000 Have there been any subpoenas offered?
00:13:36.000 None.
00:13:37.000 They're talking about this impeachment inquiry.
00:13:38.000 By the way, impeachment is going to be done.
00:13:41.000 We're probably not going to impeach Joe Biden, not impeach Mayorkas.
00:13:44.000 You could put all that aside.
00:13:45.000 That's all just DOA, dead on a rival with this whole new thing.
00:13:49.000 This is such a consequential development.
00:13:51.000 Impeachment, Hunter Biden, all that stuff is just, you could just ride, unless there is some sort of deal that gets struck here.
00:13:57.000 Okay.
00:13:58.000 And some of you are saying, you know what?
00:14:00.000 Fine.
00:14:00.000 Forget it.
00:14:01.000 Burn it all down.
00:14:03.000 And then you need to ask the next question.
00:14:05.000 Is it important to control the House of Representatives in the next Congress?
00:14:10.000 And that's a question that is an unpopular question.
00:14:13.000 Many of you say, nope, forget it.
00:14:15.000 We don't care.
00:14:16.000 Again, the best argument for the House of Representatives being read is not what they do, but it's what they don't do.
00:14:23.000 I know this is an unbelievably depressing argument.
00:14:26.000 It doesn't exactly motivate people to go to the polls, but at least they're not trying to get rid of the Electoral College, add D.C. and Puerto Rico as a state, and pass HR1.
00:14:35.000 Great, terrific.
00:14:37.000 I actually find that to be a little bit of a win because I see how maniacal the other side is.
00:14:43.000 But this right here is just an aftershock of a political earthquake that started many, many years ago.
00:14:52.000 The 2016 election was a political earthquake, and we've been living with the aftershocks, the tremors of that earthquake ever since.
00:15:00.000 Even seven, eight years later.
00:15:02.000 That's what the civil fraud case with Donald Trump is all about, which we're going to get into.
00:15:05.000 Totally outrageous.
00:15:06.000 Trump here might have his entire business empire taken from him by this very creepy, weird judge in New York.
00:15:14.000 And, you know, I'll read this one email.
00:15:17.000 Charlie, we need to fire McCarthy.
00:15:19.000 Whoever comes is going to be better.
00:15:21.000 That might be true, or that might not be true.
00:15:23.000 You know, somebody says, Speaker of the House, Donald Trump.
00:15:25.000 Yeah, he'll get like maybe 100 votes.
00:15:27.000 That's not going to happen.
00:15:29.000 So what is the plan?
00:15:30.000 And I've asked that.
00:15:32.000 And I see the frustration.
00:15:34.000 There's been big promises that have not been fulfilled.
00:15:34.000 I hear the frustration.
00:15:37.000 Big ones.
00:15:38.000 I totally hear it.
00:15:38.000 I see it.
00:15:40.000 Border's completely open.
00:15:41.000 We had this continuing resolution fight.
00:15:43.000 I look over the weekend and I say, this is, forget it.
00:15:46.000 And I bet Kevin at this point is probably saying, boy, why didn't I just shut down the government?
00:15:51.000 You know, I would be, and I would still be speaker at this point.
00:15:54.000 So, the question is: will Democrats bail out Kevin McCarthy?
00:15:59.000 And right now, here is the whip list.
00:16:02.000 And we're going to have some of these people on the show.
00:16:04.000 Matt Gates, Eli Crane, Bob Good, Andy Biggs, and Congressman Burchett, who currently will probably vote to vacate, and the entire Democrat caucus will likely vote to vacate.
00:16:18.000 At that point, it will put all congressional business into suspension and bring us right back to where we were in January.

00:17:21.000 Okay, let's just play some pieces of tape to continue to frame up what is happening here.
00:17:24.000 I think we did a good job of talking about the facts of the matter, but I want to make sure you see this.
00:17:28.000 Okay, this is Matt Gates.
00:17:29.000 First time in 113 years filing the motion to vacate against Kevin McCarthy, Play Cut 32.
00:17:34.000 Mr. Speaker, pursuant to clause 2A1 of Rule 9, I rise to give notice of my intent to raise a question of the privileges of the House.
00:17:41.000 The gentleman will state the form of his resolution.
00:17:44.000 Declaring the office of Speaker of the House of Representatives to be vacant.
00:17:48.000 Resolved that the office of Speaker of the House of Representatives is hereby declared to be vacant.
00:17:54.000 And here's Kevin McCarthy responding to the motion to vacate play cut 34.
00:17:59.000 Effecting Democrats to back you up in?
00:18:01.000 No, personally, I'm not.
00:18:03.000 Do you need their help to remain in leadership?
00:18:06.000 No.
00:18:08.000 If five Republicans go with Democrats, then I'm out.
00:18:11.000 So it's weather.
00:18:13.000 Probably so.
00:18:15.000 So let's do a thought exercise here.
00:18:17.000 And it's just so funny.
00:18:18.000 Charlie, sorry to see you rolling over inside with the Unit Party.
00:18:22.000 That's really rich.
00:18:24.000 Saying that the guy that has been leading the charge against Ukraine funding and asking for the mobilization and calling for government shutdown is that I'm on the side of the Unit Party.
00:18:33.000 No, no, no, I'm on America's side.
00:18:34.000 Okay.
00:18:35.000 I think I've proven that time and time again.
00:18:37.000 But being angry is fine.
00:18:38.000 I'm angry.
00:18:39.000 I'm pissed.
00:18:40.000 I'm upset.
00:18:40.000 What is the plan?
00:18:41.000 All right.
00:18:42.000 And if the plan is vacate, then what?
00:18:44.000 I'm not convinced of that.
00:18:45.000 The same way that people say, let's go take out Saddam Hussein.
00:18:49.000 Okay, then sometimes you get ISIS.
00:18:51.000 Let's take out Qaddafi.
00:18:52.000 Yeah, sometimes you get Bedlam.
00:18:55.000 So just think that through.
00:18:57.000 Okay, let's just go through this.
00:18:59.000 Right now, Hakeem Jeffries is celebrating this whole thing.
00:19:04.000 Hakeem Jeffries and the Democrats, they love it.
00:19:06.000 So here's what's going to happen, and it's a fact: the people that will then vote for motion to vacate will be siding with every single Democrat.
00:19:14.000 So just so we're clear, the people that will be the most excited to vacate the chair will be the Democrat Party.
00:19:21.000 Does that change your calculation at all?
00:19:24.000 Probably not, because based on the tone of the audience, is blood, metaphorically.
00:19:32.000 There is a bloodthirst I've never seen before in the base of the Republican Party.
00:19:37.000 And there really is no convincing people otherwise.
00:19:40.000 Be careful with that.
00:19:42.000 I'll be very honest.
00:19:44.000 Be careful with that.
00:19:45.000 That's not a good way to govern.
00:19:47.000 Additionally, I will agree that this doesn't help.
00:19:51.000 I have great respect for Speaker Gingrich, but him saying to expel Matt Gaits, Matt Gaetz should not be removed from a single committee.
00:19:57.000 Matt Gaetz should not be penalized in the slightest.
00:20:00.000 That's insane.
00:20:02.000 Expulsion from the House?
00:20:03.000 No, no, no, no.
00:20:05.000 Matt Gaetz is just communicating with what a lot of voters want.
00:20:10.000 That's a fact.
00:20:11.000 This whole idea that Matt Gaetz needs, no, no, no, and there's some talk show hosts that say Matt Gaetz is a rhino.
00:20:16.000 No, no, no.
00:20:17.000 Time out.
00:20:17.000 Is this strategically smart?
00:20:19.000 I'm not, I'll be honest.
00:20:20.000 I'm not convinced.
00:20:21.000 I'm not convinced that this is strategically well thought out.
00:20:24.000 I'm not.
00:20:25.000 And by the way, Chip Roy and many other people agree with me.
00:20:30.000 And I, again, this is, I want to know the five or six steps, the actual plan, not just bloodthirst, of what we are going to do here.
00:20:41.000 So someone says here, you know, Vincent, emailed us, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:20:44.000 The House has done nothing since January.
00:20:46.000 Nothing we want will get done, must vacate.
00:20:49.000 We need to go after the traitors and the pieces of garbage.
00:20:52.000 This will send a message.
00:20:54.000 This one right here, Anthony, great show.
00:20:56.000 Check Charlie, great show.
00:20:57.000 Thank you.
00:20:59.000 McCarthy has two choices.
00:21:02.000 He can sit down and retire and become a highly paid lobbyist, or he can seek and receive support of Democrats and be saddled by requiring their continued support for as long as he can take it.
00:21:10.000 Okay.
00:21:12.000 So Newt Gingrich writes in the Washington Post: Republicans must expel Matt Gaetz.
00:21:16.000 And with all due respect, Speaker Gingrich, you're not right here.
00:21:20.000 Dare I say you're, how do I say this?
00:21:23.000 I have such respect for him.
00:21:25.000 You're wrong.
00:21:27.000 This, honestly, this only makes Matt Gaetz's argument stronger.
00:21:32.000 This doesn't help at all.
00:21:34.000 This is bad.
00:21:35.000 Bad stuff.
00:21:36.000 Let's put this article up.
00:21:37.000 Newt Gingrich calling for the expulsion of Matt Gaetz.
00:21:40.000 I don't like it.
00:21:42.000 This only makes the base angrier.
00:21:43.000 This only makes you and me all of a sudden like, wait a second, maybe Matt Gaetz has a point here.
00:21:48.000 You're writing in the Washington Post that Matt Gaetz has to be kicked out of Congress.
00:21:52.000 Like, whoa, whoa, Where's the article that says Elon Olmar's got to get kicked out of Congress?
00:21:59.000 Just because Matt Gaetz is filing motions you don't like doesn't mean that all of a sudden you get to kick him out of Congress.
00:22:04.000 I don't like this article.
00:22:06.000 I don't like this.
00:22:08.000 I don't like anything about this.
00:22:09.000 This is DC type.
00:22:12.000 We're going to come and destroy your life type stuff.
00:22:14.000 I don't like it.
00:22:15.000 And quite honestly, it only strengthens those of you that are calling for McCarthy's head.
00:22:20.000 It only probably furthers your resolve.
00:22:23.000 So if Newt Gingrich is trying to calm down the warring tribes, this has the opposite intended effect.
00:22:35.000 The U.S. House will vote on a motion to table Matt Gaetz's motion to vacate during the vote series starting at 1:30 p.m.
00:22:43.000 The Democrats will not vote to table.
00:22:45.000 The Democrats are so excited right now.
00:22:47.000 Oh my goodness.
00:22:49.000 They are, this is a dream for Hakeem Jeffries.
00:22:54.000 This is a dream for these maggots that are destroying our country.
00:22:59.000 They're going to see the warring tribes of Republicans and they want it live on TV.
00:23:04.000 They want it broadcasted.
00:23:06.000 Every cable news channel is going to take this.
00:23:09.000 It's going to just be nonstop infighting, tearing each other apart.
00:23:16.000 And so then a vote will occur where likely every single Democrat will say, vacate.
00:23:24.000 And then five people will then vote with the Democrats.
00:23:30.000 So then you have to ask yourself the question: are you actually the opposition party if you vote with the Democrat Party?
00:23:39.000 For those of you that want to vacate, just, and I know that you don't want to hear this, but I'm not here to do happy talk.
00:23:45.000 And I think I've earned a lot of your trust over the last couple years.
00:23:49.000 If you're vacating, just so we're clear, you agree with the Democrat Party.
00:23:55.000 That's a fact.
00:23:56.000 Now, you might say, but they want it for different reasons.
00:23:59.000 That's a very fair argument.
00:24:01.000 That's very fair.
00:24:02.000 But it will be Democrats plus this.
00:24:06.000 And this is so funny.
00:24:07.000 Betsy says, Charlie, we see through you now.
00:24:10.000 You're just like the rhinos.
00:24:12.000 Quit calling yourself a conservative.
00:24:13.000 You are a fake.
00:24:14.000 Okay, Betsy.
00:24:17.000 I'll listen to you when you've traveled 3,000 days over the last decade fighting for this country.
00:24:21.000 Really, really clear and persuasive.
00:24:26.000 I got to be honest, guys.
00:24:27.000 This is not a good thing to attack the motives of somebody who is simply calling out the facts and asking questions.
00:24:36.000 I hear the rage.
00:24:37.000 I'm not taking it personally.
00:24:39.000 But at some point, you have to wonder, you got to ask yourself the question: is like everyone going to be cast off the island?
00:24:46.000 And by the way, here I am speaking, and I'm saying that Newt Gingrich is completely off the wall.
00:24:52.000 Someone says here, who cares what come next, Charlie?
00:24:54.000 Stop with your questions.
00:24:57.000 The people like the former speaker who take bows for having a great record should calm down.
00:25:02.000 Good for Representative Gates.
00:25:04.000 Burn it all down.
00:25:06.000 Okay.
00:25:07.000 I hear you guys.
00:25:09.000 Loud and clear.
00:25:12.000 Honestly, burn it all down sounds like Antifa.
00:25:15.000 I'm just going to be honest.
00:25:17.000 That doesn't sound like a conservative position, but maybe the new conservative movement is just legislative arson.
00:25:24.000 Maybe.
00:25:25.000 Let's play some more tape here.
00:25:27.000 Let's play Cut 18.
00:25:29.000 Kevin McCarthy's going to get his wish.
00:25:31.000 I don't think the adult in the room would allow America to sit atop a $33 trillion debt facing $2.2 trillion annual deficits.
00:25:39.000 I don't think the adult in the room would allow $8 trillion of this debt to come into refinancing at a higher level without serious spending cuts.
00:25:49.000 And I don't think the adult in the room would lie to House conservatives.
00:25:52.000 And that is exactly what Kevin McCarthy did.
00:25:55.000 I think Matt made some good points there.
00:25:57.000 I'm just curious, what is the strategy here?
00:25:59.000 What is the tactic?
00:26:00.000 Who's going to replace?
00:26:02.000 And I know these questions bother some people.
00:26:04.000 Stop asking questions.
00:26:05.000 Just do it.
00:26:06.000 Take off the head.
00:26:07.000 Okay, I got that.
00:26:08.000 Well, what is the plan, though?
00:26:10.000 Because you need a speaker.
00:26:10.000 So who's it going to be?
00:26:12.000 Can you just walk me through that?
00:26:14.000 What are the rules changes specifically in the rules committee that we're going to get here?
00:26:20.000 Can you just tell me who the speaker is going to be?
00:26:21.000 You want Dusty Johnson?
00:26:23.000 You want Don Bacon?
00:26:24.000 Far worse than McCarthy.
00:26:25.000 You want a uniparty speaker?
00:26:28.000 Like a blue dog Democrat?
00:26:29.000 You might get that now.
00:26:30.000 Might.
00:26:32.000 A no labels, consensus candidate.
00:26:35.000 I don't know.
00:26:36.000 You tell me.
00:26:37.000 Someone says, Charlie, I think someone got to.
00:26:39.000 I'd like to know how much money you're getting to take this position.
00:26:46.000 Right.
00:26:47.000 How about this?
00:26:47.000 Zero?
00:26:48.000 I care about the country.
00:26:52.000 This is a bad sign.
00:26:54.000 It's a bad sign, guys.
00:26:56.000 But it's where we're at.
00:26:57.000 We are in a very dysfunctional place right now.
00:27:01.000 This one right here.
00:27:02.000 Charlie, I hope you have good security considering the stances you're taking.
00:27:05.000 I'd hate to see you in the streets.
00:27:06.000 Like, now they're just getting to threats.
00:27:08.000 It's really amazing.
00:27:09.000 Wow, people are angry.
00:27:10.000 Freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:27:12.000 I just want to know the plan.
00:27:12.000 For those of you that are pissed and that want my head and to lynch me, what is the five-step plan?
00:27:18.000 Maybe you're right.
00:27:19.000 I want to hear from you of freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:27:24.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:27:25.000 When the government used emergency edicts during COVID to restrict the gathering and worship of churches, three pastors facing the risk of imprisonment, unlimited fines, and their own churches being ripped apart took a courageous stand and reopened their doors in the face of a world that chose to comply.
00:27:41.000 The Essential Church is a feature-length documentary that explores the struggle between the church and government throughout history.
00:27:48.000 The story uncovers those who have sacrificed their lives throughout history for what they believe in.
00:27:53.000 Rediscover why the church is essential and how we prove this stand remains true from a scientific, legal, and most importantly, a theological and biblical perspective.
00:28:02.000 This is not your typical movie.
00:28:05.000 It will change your life.
00:28:06.000 You need to see this movie with your family and friends.
00:28:08.000 The Essential Church is streaming today exclusively at salemnow.com.
00:28:13.000 That's Essential Church Movie streaming at salemnow.com.
00:28:17.000 That is salemnow.com.

00:28:21.000 So go to salemnow.com right now.
00:28:27.000 Somebody says, Charlie, why do you read the negative emails on air?
00:28:30.000 No, no, I think you have to confront the criticism.
00:28:33.000 You have to.
00:28:34.000 And by the way, you guys are the audience.
00:28:35.000 You've stood by me through some tough times.
00:28:38.000 And I appreciate that.
00:28:39.000 No one's above criticism.
00:28:40.000 In fact, I invite disagreement to the front of the line.
00:28:44.000 I do want to just ask the question, though, which I think is important, which is now that we are 10 months into the Congress, vacating the chair of Kevin McCarthy, which, you know, based on 99% of the emails want Kevin completely removed, who should replace him?
00:29:04.000 Should we replace him?
00:29:05.000 Should we just say, you know what?
00:29:06.000 Let's just not do a speaker.
00:29:08.000 That could be an argument, right?
00:29:10.000 That could be an argument.
00:29:12.000 You might get something worse.
00:29:13.000 You might get rules changes that are worse.
00:29:16.000 These are all serious questions.
00:29:20.000 But I think this is also, this needs to be said that Speaker McCarthy, I don't know this for a fact, that he regrets probably doing the CR.
00:29:34.000 And in some ways, he pushed it a little bit too hard.
00:29:39.000 He pushed a little too far.
00:29:41.000 Where he said, we could just do a clean CR.
00:29:44.000 And Matt Gates said, no, you can't.
00:29:47.000 We're going to remove you.
00:29:48.000 So this is all really based in a crescendo of built-up anger that is about the open border and Jack Smith and all these different things.
00:30:02.000 Yeah, and I mean, I hear the emails.
00:30:04.000 We don't care how the sausage is made.
00:30:06.000 We want McCarthy out.
00:30:07.000 Doesn't matter if we have a Democrat speaker.
00:30:08.000 We have hundreds of emails that say that right here.
00:30:10.000 Yeah, Cynthia from Ohio.
00:30:12.000 Okay.
00:30:13.000 Let's do another.
00:30:16.000 I mean, clips like this is why people are so angry.
00:30:18.000 And I hear you.
00:30:19.000 As Bill Clutton says, I feel your pain.
00:30:21.000 Play cut six.
00:30:23.000 Majority leaders recognized.
00:30:24.000 I have very good news for the country.
00:30:27.000 Democrats and Republicans have come to an agreement, and the government will remain open.
00:30:33.000 We will have avoided a shutdown.
00:30:36.000 Bipartisanship, which has been the trademark of the Senate, has prevailed.
00:30:42.000 And the American people can breathe a sigh of relief.
00:30:46.000 That makes me angry.
00:30:47.000 And it should make you angry.
00:30:49.000 Here you have the Uniparty that doesn't control the House of Representatives celebrating.
00:30:53.000 That is what triggered this entire thing.
00:30:56.000 So get ready for another January speaker vote.
00:31:01.000 All over.
00:31:02.000 And I also want to make sure my position is clear.
00:31:05.000 This whole thing about expelling Matt Gates, who is one of the most talented, one of the most important people in the entire conservative movement, to try to expel him, to write that in the Washington Post, man, that bothers me.
00:31:19.000 I got to be honest.
00:31:20.000 That bothers me on a fundamental level.
00:31:22.000 I don't like it.
00:31:24.000 And I really have a lot of respect for Newt Gingrich.
00:31:26.000 He spoke at our events.
00:31:26.000 He comes on our show.
00:31:27.000 We have mutual admiration, but we see this one completely differently, like completely on different planets.
00:31:35.000 And I think one of the buried leads about this entire thing, and it just so happens that McCarthy is wrong place, wrong time, Is 11 years, 15 years of just delayed promises, one-off kind of whisper campaigns.
00:31:56.000 And eventually people are saying, we're done.
00:32:00.000 We've had enough.
00:32:02.000 And we have some emails here.
00:32:05.000 Someone says, Charlie, what are you thinking here?
00:32:07.000 I generally agree with you, but don't see this.
00:32:09.000 Play out the long game.
00:32:10.000 I haven't even stated a position, which is what's so hilarious.
00:32:13.000 I've just asked questions.
00:32:14.000 I've just said, what is the plan?
00:32:18.000 Keeping McCarthy, that's just more of the same old nothing.
00:32:21.000 Nothing, our agenda gets done.
00:32:23.000 Not one Democrat is ever held accountable.
00:32:25.000 And the Swamp Rhinos will be emboldened to continue to run opposition to America first policy.
00:32:29.000 Brian, I agree completely with you.
00:32:31.000 That's what is so irritating here: is that guess what?
00:32:36.000 You have nothing but bad options.
00:32:39.000 You're not going to get anything good.
00:32:41.000 It's just a matter of how bad you're going to get.
00:32:44.000 And what I'm telling you is if you think you have it bad now, it can get a lot worse.
00:32:52.000 And that's the problem.
00:32:54.000 You actually thought Congress would do something meaningful.
00:32:56.000 Nope.
00:32:58.000 Nope.
00:33:00.000 You have something bad.
00:33:02.000 Regime change got us ISIS.
00:33:04.000 Regime change got us the same thing in Afghanistan.
00:33:07.000 I'm just asking questions.
00:33:08.000 And I want to know what is the plan.
00:33:10.000 And are you prepared for something even worse?
00:33:16.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
00:33:17.000 Email us as always, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:33:20.000 Thank you so much for listening and God bless.
