The Charlie Kirk Show - No One Does It Like Trump

00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.

00:00:01.000 Andrew Colvitt and Blake Neff are back for this episode of the Charlie Kirk Show.

00:00:06.000 We cover the fallout from RFK's combative, really explosive confirmation here.

00:00:13.000 We go through more clips, more reaction, and then we also tune in to the Laken Riley Act signing ceremony.

00:00:20.000 Some truly powerful moments there, especially when Laken's mother, Allison Phillips, took the podium to speak.

00:00:28.000 Her reaction, President Trump's deeply personal reaction.

00:00:32.000 You're not going to miss it.

00:00:33.000 We have a new day in America, and this Lake and Riley Act is an amazing, amazing development.

00:00:41.000 As we try to secure our borders of this country once again.

00:02:04.000 Blake, say hello.

00:02:05.000 Hello, Andrew.

00:02:06.000 It's a great day.

00:02:08.000 It is a great day.

00:02:09.000 I think it's important that we keep the show rolling here, Blake.

00:02:14.000 That confirmation hearing with RFK was pretty explosive at times.

00:02:21.000 I knew that he was going to be coming into a hostile environment, but I actually didn't anticipate the sort of moralizing and the virtue signaling from the Democrats that we saw there.

00:02:33.000 Actually, I thought I knew it was going to be like a five, six at least.

00:02:37.000 But I think what we saw was like an eight, nine to a ten at times grandstanding from Bernie Sanders, grandstanding from Senator Warren and, you know, Senator Hassan from New Hampshire.

00:02:48.000 I mean, it was the list goes on.

00:02:49.000 They all came at him very hot.

00:02:52.000 What do you make of the environment within the Congress?

00:02:55.000 Well, I'm definitely not surprised about it, Andrew, because you have to think all the factors that could come into play to make this a barn burner hearing are there.

00:03:07.000 First of all, he is a former Democrat.

00:03:09.000 He ran for president as a Democrat.

00:03:11.000 So that means two things.

00:03:12.000 They can be angry at him for being a traitor, not one of their own.

00:03:19.000 It also means they have reason to think.

00:03:21.000 We can possibly sink this guy.

00:03:23.000 He's not someone Republicans are naturally aligned with.

00:03:27.000 Republican senators, I should say.

00:03:29.000 And so, if they think they can take him out, they're going to go harder, I think.

00:03:34.000 Also, he's plausibly the reason they lost the election.

00:03:38.000 We won well enough.

00:03:39.000 I don't think you can say...

00:03:41.000 He was 100% needed, but he gave the Trump campaign a lot of energy right after the Democratic convention, right around that time, really built that coalition so they can dislike him for that reason.

00:03:55.000 And of course, there's also, lurking in the background, the economic reason.

00:04:00.000 Obviously, you know, there's reasons they can give to oppose all of Trump's picks, but RFK is the one where you can say there is a large vested interest in the United States, both in government and in the private sector, that really, really badly does not want this to go through, which means they're able to spend millions of dollars on the oppo, on the background networking.

00:04:25.000 There can be this vast ad hoc apparatus to stop this nomination, which means they're all going to have the opposition research they can draw on.

00:04:33.000 They can get professional coaching from the lobbyists who will say, you need to do this, you need to say this.

00:04:39.000 So they're going to make the full court press, and the pressure is on for Trump, for MAGA, for Maha to make it clear to Republicans that they need to make this confirmation, because Republicans will look for an out on this if they can.

00:04:57.000 It's like the line from Star Wars, like, fear will keep the rebel senators in line.

00:05:02.000 Fear of MAGA. Well, I think this is a clip that really sums it up well, Blake.

00:05:09.000 This was Senator Bennett from Colorado just screaming at RFK Jr., basically saying he was playing games, he's going to kill people, 143. This matters.

00:05:23.000 It doesn't matter what you come here and say that isn't true, that's not reflective of what you really believe, that you haven't said over decade after decade after decade, because unlike other jobs we're confirming around this place, this is a job where it is life and death for the kids that I used to work for in the Denver Public Schools and for families all over this country that are suffering.

00:05:48.000 From living in the richest country of the world that can't deliver basic health care and basic mental health care to them.

00:05:56.000 It's too important for the games that you're playing, Mr. Kennedy.

00:06:01.000 And I hope my colleagues will say to the President, I have no influence over him.

00:06:06.000 I hope my colleagues will say to the President, out of 330 million Americans, we can do better than this.

00:06:14.000 Well, and so that seems to be the crux of the, I would say, the main thrust of the argument is that, you know, RFK is considered anti-vax.

00:06:25.000 And so there was a lot of these exchanges going back and forth about this particular topic, specifically around the vaccine topic.

00:06:34.000 I personally believe that, you know, he made some good points.

00:06:39.000 He called Senator White in dishonest.

00:06:41.000 We're going to pull that clip.

00:06:42.000 He said repeatedly that he's not anti-vax, but that he is asking uncomfortable questions through his advocacy.

00:06:50.000 I want to take you back in time to this clip, which has been going around the internet lately.

00:06:55.000 This is from 2005, Blake, where he was talking with Joe Scarborough.

00:07:00.000 Remember, he's still considered a Democrat in good standing at this point in history.

00:07:05.000 Play cut 140. My son, born in 1991. It has a slight form of autism called Asperger's.

00:07:14.000 And again, when I was practicing law and also when I was in Congress, parents would constantly come to me and they'd bring me videotapes of their children, and they were all around the age of my son or younger.

00:07:26.000 So something happened in 1989. Exactly.

00:07:30.000 What happened was the vaccine schedule was increased.

00:07:33.000 We went up from receiving about 10 vaccines in our generation to these kids.

00:07:39.000 Received 24 vaccines, and they all had this thimerosal in them, this mercury, and nobody bothered to do an analysis of what the cumulative impact of all that mercury was doing to kids.

00:07:50.000 As it turns out, we are injecting our children with 400 times the amount of mercury that FDA or EPA considers safe.

00:07:58.000 Now, Blake, I know you're kind of a contrarian when it comes to RFK, as you are with many things.

00:08:03.000 We love that about you.

00:08:04.000 It's sometimes annoying, but we love it about you.

00:08:07.000 From your perspective, as somebody that would call some of this junk science, that would call some of it woo-woo, this is what so much of this hearing is hinging upon.

00:08:21.000 Where does the line between asking tough questions, uncomfortable questions, and woo-woo science come into play?

00:08:27.000 Because it strikes me that asking tough questions is what will propel truth forward, will propel real science forward, instead of relying on these institutionalized, calcified places like the FDA, CDC, and NIH.

00:08:43.000 Well, first of all, we're really seeing sort of the peril of existing issues.

00:08:49.000 In the modern age.

00:08:50.000 Like, RFK, in this confirmation, to some extent, he's a victim of just being a famous person for decades on end with a consistent portfolio.

00:08:59.000 He's been in the public arena.

00:09:02.000 He's really gotten involved on medical questions.

00:09:07.000 On other topics, too.

00:09:08.000 But he's really been on the vaccine beat.

00:09:11.000 And so he just has decades of things that he's said.

00:09:14.000 And I don't think RFK, probably, RFK Jr., ever, he probably never really planned to run for president the way he did.

00:09:20.000 He probably never planned that he would be in...

00:09:23.000 Certainly not a Republican administration.

00:09:25.000 And he's not a doctor.

00:09:27.000 And so over his history, he's had statements that are not fully precise.

00:09:32.000 He's probably occasionally said things that outran 100% of what he believes or 100% what he could prove.

00:09:38.000 He'll say things that are provocative or thought-provoking.

00:09:43.000 And now he's having – he's up for a serious position, and he has to say, okay, what I seriously believe at the moment is X, Y, and Z.

00:09:52.000 And it's not super surprising, I think.

00:09:55.000 I think that's smart.

00:09:56.000 Yeah.

00:09:56.000 So it's not super surprising that Congress is raking him over the coals.

00:10:01.000 I think it's the job of RFK supporters, RFK himself and our show here to make it clear what he really believes, what he's saying, which is defensible versus what is essentially fear mongering by his opponents.

00:10:17.000 And I think he's striking a good tone where he's saying, I am not anti-vaccine because I don't think we want polio to come back.

00:10:24.000 I don't think we want measles to come back.

00:10:27.000 But what is true is we have in our recent history a vaccine that was very scientifically novel, that was pushed out very quickly, very aggressively.

00:10:38.000 People were compelled to take it in situations that seemed very dubious in the military, very young people who weren't in danger from the virus itself.

00:10:46.000 And they outrun the evidence on it.

00:10:49.000 And there's certainly at least a lot of anecdotal evidence that it had harms they said couldn't happen.

00:10:55.000 And that has created a huge amount of distrust.

00:10:58.000 And I think the room is there for him to say we actually need more investigation to restore public confidence that has been so badly damaged by elite health care distribution.

00:11:07.000 No, I think that's a really good point that he's got this long portfolio of comments that he's made dating all the way back to like the 80s.

00:11:17.000 And some of those things he's probably not going to agree with anymore.

00:11:19.000 Some of those things he might have revised his position.

00:11:22.000 And some of those things he's going to have to bring to heel to the president's position.

00:12:26.000 That is relieffactor.com.

00:12:28.000 Blake, I want to play this clip first.

00:12:32.000 I think it illustrates kind of what you're talking about with Some of the things that RFK Jr. has said in the past, maybe he wants to walk those back, maybe he's refined his position, but I thought it was illustrative nonetheless.

00:12:44.000 This is another exchange he had with Senator Bennett, talking about Lyme disease, 147. Did you say that Lyme disease is highly likely a materially engineered bioweapon?

00:12:57.000 I made sure I put in the highly likely.

00:13:00.000 Did you say Lyme disease is a highly likely...

00:13:06.000 I probably did say that.

00:13:08.000 Did you say that?

00:13:10.000 I want all of our colleagues to hear it, Mr. Kennedy.

00:13:14.000 I want them to hear it.

00:13:15.000 You said yes.

00:13:17.000 Senator Bennett's getting really into this one.

00:13:20.000 But that's an example of, you know, I actually would love to hear the rest of the exchange.

00:13:24.000 I don't think we have that tape.

00:13:26.000 But, you know, he was constantly getting cut off.

00:13:28.000 And you could actually see them using his speech impediment.

00:13:34.000 Forgive me, I can't remember the exact name of the condition, but they were using it against him because they knew that he couldn't reply back in a rapid pace, and so they would use that against him and cut him off repeatedly, which was another theme that we saw in this confirmation here.

00:13:51.000 Blake.

00:13:51.000 Yeah, I have enjoyed it because even with, I think, spasmodic dysphonia, I think?

00:13:58.000 Dysphonia.

00:13:58.000 Yeah, dysphonia is what he has.

00:14:01.000 But despite that, he's been very...

00:14:04.000 He's been aggressive.

00:14:05.000 What senator was it where...

00:14:07.000 He basically just said it is maliciously dishonest to present what I said that way.

00:14:12.000 Senator Wyden.

00:14:13.000 Yeah, very combative compared to even the other hearings we've had so far.

00:14:17.000 Hegseth was a forceful guy, but I don't think he had an exchange like that with any of his senators.

00:14:22.000 I think you're right.

00:14:24.000 139, we have that clip.

00:14:25.000 It's a good clip.

00:14:25.000 Let's go ahead and play it.

00:14:26.000 All of these things cannot be true.

00:14:31.000 So, are you lying to Congress today when you say you are pro-vaccine?

00:14:37.000 Or did you lie on all those podcasts?

00:14:40.000 As you know, because it's been repeatedly debunked, that statement that I made on the Lex Friedman podcast was a fragment of the statement.

00:14:49.000 I said, there are no vaccines that are safe and effective, and I was going to continue for every person.

00:14:56.000 Every medicine has people who are sensitive to them, including vaccines.

00:15:01.000 He interrupted me at that point.

00:15:04.000 I've corrected it many times, including on national TV. You know about this, Senator Wyden.

00:15:09.000 So bringing this up right now is dishonest.

00:15:12.000 Boom.

00:15:13.000 Love that exchange.

00:15:14.000 I just want to, for the audience's sake, we're working on getting the feed from the Lake and Riley signing ceremony that's happening right now.

00:15:21.000 So bear with us as we get that feed.

00:15:24.000 But Blake, your reaction to, I mean, this sort of is the clip that...

00:15:30.000 You were referencing where he was pretty combative back, pretty aggressive back, in which we all know President Trump loves to see a fighter.

00:15:37.000 Exactly, exactly.

00:15:38.000 And I think he's got to do it because they have the attacks ready to bring against him.

00:15:45.000 We know for a fact this is one of the big, probably big four really controversial nominees that President Trump made.

00:15:53.000 We know Charlie's told us that there are people in Trump's circle who said...

00:15:57.000 Don't make this nominee.

00:15:58.000 Just bail on that promise.

00:16:00.000 There are people looking for excuses to vote against him.

00:16:03.000 And so, as you say, Trump likes a warrior.

00:16:05.000 Trump has faced unlimited opposition in the past decade.

00:16:10.000 And he overcame it by fighting directly through it in the most straightforward way imaginable.

00:16:16.000 So he'll definitely respect someone who does the same.

00:16:19.000 And I think...

00:16:20.000 That respect is what he needs, because you have to have Trump, you have to have MAGA saying, this nomination is essential, this is a promise the president made, and if you vote against this, you are abetting the failure of President Trump to keep his promises, and that will be remembered, that will reflect on whether you are supported the next time you are up for office, it will reflect whether we fund a primary challenge to you.

00:16:47.000 That threat has to be there to make sure people stay in line, because we should be honest with ourselves.

00:16:53.000 This is not a nomination other Republicans would make, and it's one that Republicans would not conventionally vote for.

00:17:01.000 So they have to be pressured heavily to stay in line.

00:17:05.000 Well, and, you know, we also saw Nicole Shanahan is going out making very direct threats of primarying senators that vote against. 1.00

00:17:14.000 RFK Jr., that was, of course, his running mate when he was still running for Congress.

00:17:18.000 He also made another viral clip here, Blake, that President Trump is going to like very much.

00:17:23.000 Play cut 142. I don't want to take food away from anybody.

00:17:27.000 If you like a McDonald's cheeseburger or Diet Coke, which my boss loves, you should be able to get them.

00:17:37.000 If you want to eat Hostess Twinkies, you should be able to do that.

00:17:41.000 But you should know what the impacts are.

00:17:43.000 On your family and on your health.

00:17:45.000 So you're still going to be able to get McDonald's, Blake.

00:17:49.000 All praise.

00:17:50.000 McDonald's will still be available.

00:17:54.000 Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here.

00:18:53.000 He was soon arrested again in New York City on charges of endangering a child, but because of New York City's deadly sanctuary policies, as we have in California but because of New York City's deadly sanctuary policies, as we have in California and many other We're going to end them.

00:19:15.000 He was released again to reoffend.

00:19:19.000 The Biden administration then provided this illegal alien criminal with a free, taxpayer-funded flight from New York to Georgia, where he was arrested yet again, constantly, this time for stealing from a Walmart along with his gang member brother, who was a bad one.

00:19:36.000 Only after being released a third time by the U.S. law enforcement did this cold-blooded criminal go out on that fateful morning, hunting for women.

00:19:47.000 On whom to pray.

00:19:48.000 That's what he did.

00:19:49.000 He hunted.

00:19:50.000 He hunted.

00:19:50.000 It was like a hunter.

00:19:52.000 I'm going to show him who the hunter is.

00:19:55.000 This horrific atrocity should never have been allowed to happen.

00:19:58.000 And as president, I'm fighting every single day to ensure that such a tragedy never happens again.

00:20:04.000 We don't want this to happen.

00:20:06.000 And under the law, thank you.

00:20:14.000 Under the law I'm signing today, the Department of Homeland Security will be required to detain all illegal aliens who have been arrested for theft, burglary, larceny, shoplifting, assaulting a police officer, murder, or any crime that results in death or a serious injury.

00:20:33.000 In addition, for the first time ever, this act gives state governments the ability to sue the federal government for immediate injunctive relief if any future administration.

00:20:43.000 ever again refuses to enforce the immigration laws of the United States like happened for four long years.

00:20:51.000 And that was happening for four long years, Frightful years.

00:21:03.000 Amazing.

00:21:04.000 You'd say, how can people do this?

00:21:06.000 How can they allow this to happen?

00:21:08.000 How can they allow criminals to pour into our country and then try and defend it?

00:21:12.000 And they're still trying to defend it, but they can't.

00:21:15.000 That's why I'm here instead of somebody else, actually.

00:21:18.000 It's the biggest reason.

00:21:19.000 I believe it's the single biggest reason.

00:21:21.000 Inflation was horrible.

00:21:22.000 Many things were horrible during that administration.

00:21:25.000 When you look at what took place in Afghanistan, the way they got out.

00:21:29.000 Not that they got out, but the way.

00:21:31.000 So many things were horrible.

00:21:33.000 But to me, this was the worst of all.

00:21:36.000 It's a landmark law that we're doing today.

00:21:38.000 It's going to save countless innocent American lives.

00:21:43.000 I want to thank every House Republican, every Senate Republican, as well as the 12 Senate Democrats and the 48 House Democrats who voted to pass this vitally important bill, and many of them are with us today, and I really do appreciate it.

00:21:58.000 I very much especially appreciate the bipartisan support.

00:22:02.000 The Democrats, really a big percentage of them came through, and plenty of them wanted to.

00:22:07.000 They probably felt they couldn't, but they really wanted to.

00:22:10.000 They don't understand that would have made them a lot more popular, would have made them a lot better with their people.

00:22:17.000 The ones that didn't are going to be, they're going to be sorry, because the people are not going to forget that they wouldn't sign.

00:22:25.000 This is a...

00:22:26.000 Perfect, incredible tribute to an unbelievable young lady.

00:22:31.000 We're joined today by many great supporters of our new strong border policies, and they are indeed strong, including Vice President Vance, thank you, J.D., the Secretary, Scott Bessing, who just got approved, by the way.

00:22:46.000 Where's Scott?

00:22:47.000 He just got approved.

00:22:48.000 Scott, I'm very impressed.

00:22:50.000 Got a lot of Democrat votes, too.

00:22:53.000 We got a lot of Democrat votes.

00:22:56.000 That's great.

00:22:56.000 I don't know.

00:22:56.000 Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

00:22:58.000 I'll have to think about that.

00:23:01.000 Secretary of Homeland Security, who's going to be fantastic.

00:23:04.000 I know her so well.

00:23:06.000 And I know it's probably not complimentary because she is a woman, but she is tough.

00:23:11.000 Where is she?

00:23:12.000 Where is Christy?

00:23:14.000 Christy?

00:23:15.000 Great.

00:23:16.000 Stand up, please.

00:23:16.000 You have such an important job to do.

00:23:24.000 Really great.

00:23:25.000 Thank you very much.

00:23:26.000 And don't let that look fool you.

00:23:28.000 That look is...

00:23:29.000 She's tough, and she cannot stand that she's having to sit here and even listen to this today.

00:23:36.000 Another one who's done a job like nobody that I've seen in a long time, Tom Holman.

00:23:42.000 He's my friend, but he is something special.

00:23:46.000 He is something special.

00:23:49.000 Great.

00:23:53.000 And Tom and Christy, the numbers are unbelievable what's happened.

00:23:56.000 It's like just shut down.

00:23:58.000 Nobody thought that was even possible.

00:23:59.000 It's just shut down.

00:24:00.000 They showed an area that a year ago had thousands and thousands of people rushing into our country.

00:24:06.000 And today there was nobody there.

00:24:09.000 It was like a beautiful sight.

00:24:11.000 And also Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso.

00:24:15.000 Great guy.

00:24:16.000 Great guy.

00:24:16.000 Thank you, John.

00:24:20.000 And I also want to thank the bill's sponsors, Senator Katie Britt.

00:24:25.000 Katie?

00:24:25.000 Thank you, Katie.

00:24:28.000 And Congressman Mike Collins.

00:24:31.000 And Mike, you were fantastic from Georgia.

00:24:34.000 He took this.

00:24:38.000 He loves this state, and he took this very personally.

00:24:41.000 So thank you very much, Mike.

00:24:43.000 As well as Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley.

00:24:47.000 Chuck is here someplace.

00:24:49.000 Chuck, thank you very much.

00:24:51.000 You look great.

00:24:54.000 And House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, who is a special guy, special man.

00:25:01.000 And House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green.

00:25:05.000 Thank you very much.

00:25:06.000 Thank you, Mark.

00:25:08.000 And we have many other congressmen and senators, but I'm not going to introduce because this is about your daughter.

00:25:14.000 This is about something that's so important, and we're going to just go along.

00:25:19.000 Thank you also.

00:25:20.000 We have to say Burt Jones is in the room, and Burt is your lieutenant governor, and he was on this like you wouldn't believe.

00:25:27.000 Thank you very much.

00:25:28.000 I see you sitting there.

00:25:29.000 Thank you very much.

00:25:33.000 So we have state, local officials.

00:25:35.000 We have law enforcement organizations.

00:25:37.000 We have everybody.

00:25:38.000 Most of them are in the room or represented in the room, and they're incredible people.

00:25:43.000 And I've never seen them come together like they have for this.

00:25:46.000 I've done many of these, not of this kind, but different bills, different passages, having to do with many different things, from homeland security to inner security to taxes to 50 different items.

00:26:00.000 I've never seen such support.

00:26:03.000 As you have today and as your great daughter has today.

00:26:07.000 So I've never seen anything like it.

00:26:08.000 And we have to thank your daughter for that because she's going to save a lot of lives.

00:26:14.000 She's going to be responsible for saving a lot of lives.

00:26:17.000 So I'd like to just say to the angel families, I've been with them and they've been with me from 2015 when I first...

00:26:27.000 Got this crazy idea in my head to run for president because we can do better as a country.

00:26:32.000 I want to thank so many of the people that are here that have been the angel moms.

00:26:38.000 And we call them angel moms, but they're angel families, fathers and sons and daughters.

00:26:43.000 But they've suffered tremendously, like you have, for no reason whatsoever.

00:26:48.000 I want to thank Alexis Nungari, the mother of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungari. 0.99

00:26:54.000 Murdered last summer by two illegal alien gang members released into the United States by Joe Biden's open-border stupid policies. 0.92

00:27:03.000 And thank you very much, Alexis. 0.98

00:27:05.000 I want to thank you very much.

00:27:06.000 We had an amazing trip, and it was really special to meet you and your family.

00:27:12.000 Appreciate it very much.

00:27:13.000 So sad we have to be here, frankly.

00:27:17.000 And Jocelyn, as you know, is in our hearts, as she was then.

00:27:20.000 It was an amazing day we had, a great day.

00:27:23.000 But it was a day of celebration of somebody that unfortunately won't be with us.

00:27:28.000 But she is with us now.

00:27:29.000 You know that. 0.94

00:27:30.000 Here also is Patty Morin, the mother of Rachel Morin, killed two years ago by an illegal alien who was let into our country by the last administration's ridiculous, weak policies. 0.89

00:27:41.000 Open border. 0.80

00:27:42.000 Can you imagine?

00:27:43.000 When I heard open border, I said, oh, that's terrible.

00:27:46.000 They're going to release...

00:27:47.000 There are prisons all over the world.

00:27:49.000 They're going to release their prisons into our country.

00:27:51.000 That's exactly what happened.

00:27:53.000 Patty is joined by Rachel's brother, Michael, Rachel's daughter, Clementine, and sister-in-law, Shannon.

00:27:59.000 Thank you all for being here.

00:28:01.000 We appreciate it very much.

00:28:03.000 Thank you very much.

00:28:04.000 Thank you.

00:28:05.000 With us as well is the loving family of Kayla Hamilton, a 20-year-old girl murdered in July 2022 by the MS-13 illegal alien gang member.

00:28:16.000 Who is violent, vicious, and they knew it, and they didn't do anything about it.

00:28:20.000 And I want to thank you to Kayla's mother, Tammy, and her grandmother, Kathy, and her stepfather, Jeremiah, very much.

00:28:29.000 And finally, I want to thank others who have also suffered this horrible scourge that goes on with young people being killed, and other people, too, but young people, largely young people being killed.

00:28:45.000 Thank you to Scott Root, the father of Sarah Root, killed at 21 years of age.

00:28:51.000 Think of that, 21, by an illegal alien, shouldn't have been in our country, would have never been in our country if we were here. 1.00

00:28:59.000 What a sad thing.

00:29:00.000 To each of these angel families, we love you and we stand in awe of your courage and your strength.

00:29:06.000 It's the toughest thing anybody has to go through.

00:29:08.000 Many of the angel families here today were betrayed by the last administration. 1.00

00:29:14.000 With this heartless and foolish and really very, very arrogant and very, very dumb policies. 0.99

00:29:24.000 Policies that aren't even believable when you talk about common sense. 0.99

00:29:28.000 I say we're the party of common sense, but the Democrats also, they have plenty of common sense, and that's why so many are here today and so many supported what we're doing, the very government.

00:29:39.000 That was supposed to protect their daughters instead opened our borders and transported the world's most dangerous criminals straight into their communities.

00:29:47.000 They came from prisons and jails and insane asylums and mental institutions from all over the world, not just South America.

00:29:55.000 People think South America.

00:29:56.000 They come from all over the world.

00:29:58.000 They come from every continent.

00:30:01.000 And they came here by plane and they were loaded onto buses and they were driven right up to our border and they drove right through the border and nobody even said a word to them.

00:30:10.000 And in those buses and those cars and those trucks were some of the meanest criminals anywhere in the world.

00:30:16.000 As of last September, 425,000 illegal alien criminals were roaming free.

00:30:23.000 Including 13,099 convicted illegal alien murderers, of which about almost 50% killed more than one person, and they were roaming all over the country in our farms, in our cities.

00:30:36.000 Under the Trump administration, we're moving with urgency and speed to get these vicious and violent criminals the hell out of our country and to restore law and order to our suburbs, our cities, and our towns.

00:30:47.000 And we're going to do it with Tom and with Christie and with all of the people that are working so hard on this.

00:30:53.000 This week, compared to a comparable time a year ago, think of this, the number of illegal border crossers has already fallen by more than 100 percent.

00:31:02.000 And because the election was coming, They started getting a little bit tougher on the border.

00:31:08.000 They tried to follow our policies, and they did much better, but it still was horrible.

00:31:13.000 The numbers were still horrible, so that's 100% over those.

00:31:16.000 They only did it because of the election, so they knew what they were doing was wrong.

00:31:21.000 And those who do cross the border, and you're seeing that every time, all you have to do is turn on your television set or pick up a newspaper. 0.99

00:31:32.000 Read any form of new media, because we have a lot of new media today, fortunately, that's letting the word get out.

00:31:39.000 But they're watching these people be captured and removed from our country.

00:31:43.000 ICE arrests have risen by 15 times, 15 times in just a short period.

00:31:49.000 And over the past eight days, the heroes of ICE and Border Patrol, we can never forget Border Patrol.

00:31:55.000 Those people, I've gotten to know so many of them.

00:31:58.000 Our border czar, as you remember, never went to the border and never made a phone call.

00:32:02.000 She was the border czar.

00:32:03.000 She never made one phone call.

00:32:05.000 They went to the heads of the border.

00:32:07.000 They went to the heads of ICE. Did you ever get a call?

00:32:09.000 No.

00:32:09.000 And she admitted she never made one call, but she was the border czar.

00:32:13.000 And that's exactly what our border was all about.

00:32:16.000 The heroes of ICE have arrested thousands and thousands of illegal alien criminals, including hundreds of gang members, traffickers, child predators, terrorists, and murderers.

00:32:27.000 For the first time in history, we're loading dangerous and illegal aliens into military aircraft and flying them back to the places from which they came. 0.99

00:32:35.000 You probably read about Colombia two days ago.

00:32:38.000 They said, no, we're not taking them.

00:32:40.000 I said, we're going to take them.

00:32:42.000 You're going to take them.

00:32:43.000 You're going to like it, too.

00:32:44.000 You're going to take it?

00:32:45.000 They talked about, we're not going to take people that are in shackles. 0.94

00:32:55.000 I said, well, but the people that are in shackles are murderers. 0.98

00:32:58.000 They're drug lords. 1.00

00:33:00.000 They're rapists. 1.00

00:33:01.000 They're very tough people. 0.99

00:33:03.000 They make our criminals look like very nice people.

00:33:06.000 That's about the only thing that comes out of this.

00:33:08.000 And I said, could you imagine you're a pilot on the plane and you have your co-pilot and you're sitting there and you have 150 people, no shackles, and they like to murder people?

00:33:18.000 This is not a good, this would not be a good flight.

00:33:22.000 So actually, so Colombia apologized to us profusely within an hour, based on something I said, meaning you're going to pay tariffs like nobody's ever paid tariffs before.

00:33:35.000 But they actually wanted to terminate his position.

00:33:40.000 Their essentially Congress met, and they were very angry with them.

00:33:45.000 But they actually said they were going to send the presidential plane to pick up these criminals and to bring them because they didn't want to inconvenience us or have us do a second flight.

00:33:54.000 And that's what they did.

00:33:56.000 And I appreciate it.

00:33:57.000 And I do appreciate the people of Columbia are wonderful people.

00:34:00.000 And the representatives really acted well.

00:34:02.000 And I appreciate that they took back that tough talk.

00:34:05.000 But, you know, we may have tough talk from others, but it's not going to mean anything.

00:34:09.000 They're going to all take them back.

00:34:10.000 And they're going to like it, too.

00:34:12.000 They're going to like it.

00:34:12.000 They're going to take it back.

00:34:14.000 And they're going to like it.

00:34:15.000 Today, I'm also signing an executive order, too.

00:34:19.000 Instruct the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security to begin preparing the 30,000-person migrant facility at Guantanamo Bay.

00:34:26.000 Most people don't even know about it.

00:34:28.000 We have 30,000 beds in Guantanamo to detain the worst criminal illegal aliens threatening the American people. 0.92

00:34:37.000 Some of them are so bad we don't even trust the countries to hold them because we don't want them coming back, so we're going to send them out to Guantanamo. 0.95

00:34:45.000 This will double our capacity immediately, right?

00:34:48.000 And tough.

00:34:49.000 That's a tough place to get out of.

00:34:52.000 Today's signings bring us one step closer to eradicating the scourge of migrant crime in our communities once and for all. 1.00

00:35:00.000 And it was just a purely, it's just an unforced error that we even have to be doing this.

00:35:05.000 Now we need Congress to provide full funding for the complete.

00:35:09.000 And total restoration of our sovereign borders, as well as financial support to remove record numbers of illegal aliens. 0.97

00:35:16.000 And these are illegal alien killers, criminals at levels that nobody's ever seen before. 0.99

00:35:23.000 And you would have known that, and you were there when I said it. 0.92

00:35:27.000 I said, everybody that's bad is going to be thrown.

00:35:29.000 If you look at Venezuela...

00:35:32.000 Venezuela's crime is down 77% because they've taken their gang members, their prisoners, their drug dealers, their drug lords.

00:35:41.000 They've shipped them all into the United States. 0.97

00:35:43.000 Many other countries, their crime is way down, and our crime is not doing well.

00:35:49.000 But we're going to have it do really well very soon, and we're shipping all these people back where they came from. 1.00

00:35:54.000 And now, before I sign the Lakin-Riley Act into law, I would like to ask Lakin's...

00:36:00.000 Really incredible mother I've gotten to know.

00:36:02.000 A very sad day I got to know her.

00:36:06.000 But this is an amazing tribute to an amazing young person.

00:36:10.000 And if you could come up, Alison, and say a few words, that would be great.

00:36:13.000 Thank you very much.

00:36:15.000 Thank you.

00:36:33.000 We would like to thank Senator Katie Britt for her diligent bipartisan work to get this bill through the Senate. 0.76

00:36:40.000 We'd also like to thank Congressman Mike Collins for his unwavering passion and for leading on the Lake and Riley Act from the start.

00:36:50.000 Our family will forever be grateful for the prayers of the people across our nation and for helping to get this legislation into law.

00:36:59.000 President Trump, for the promises he made to us, he said he would secure our borders and that he would never forget about Lakin.

00:37:09.000 And he hasn't.

00:37:11.000 He's a man of his word.

00:37:12.000 We trust that he will fight for the American people.

00:37:18.000 Most importantly, I want to thank our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, because without his sacrifices, Lakin's story would have ended on that horrific day that she was taken from us.

00:37:29.000 But because of him, we can continue living, knowing that we will see Lakin again.

00:37:38.000 There's no amount of change that will ever bring back our precious Lakin.

00:37:42.000 Our hope moving forward is that her life saves lives.

00:37:47.000 We're so thankful that her passion for helping others and her legacy for doing good in the name of Jesus Christ will carry on.

00:37:55.000 Thank you.

00:37:57.000 Thank you.

00:38:22.000 We're going to sign this in honor of Lakin Riley.

00:38:27.000 Come on up here, some of the people that we love that have been so instrumental.

00:38:32.000 Okay.

00:38:53.000 Thank you.

00:39:11.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.

00:39:15.000 There's a lot of excitement in Washington, D.C. as we start the year, but I wanted to talk to you about something just as exciting happening outside the D.C. Beltway, a revolution in the States.

00:39:24.000 It's the education freedom movement.

00:39:26.000 It's real.

00:39:27.000 It's growing.

00:39:28.000 And growing because some states, as they should, are putting parents in charge of the education of their kids.

00:39:34.000 Everyone knows education has the power to change a kid's life, and anyone who raised a child knows each has different needs, learning styles, and God-given talents.

00:39:44.000 The fact is, parents know their own children best, knows what's best for their development and future.

00:39:50.000 Education freedom legislation puts parents, not zip codes, and politicians in charge of these important family decisions.

00:39:57.000 It's why I strongly support making universal education freedom a reality for every parent in every state.

00:40:04.000 To find out where your state legislature stands and to make sure your voice is heard, go to educationfreedomusa.com now, educationfreedomusa.com.

00:40:15.000 That was an incredibly powerful moment, Blake, when Alison Phillips, Lakin Riley's mother, came up.

00:40:22.000 And it was interesting, the camera I was watching, it kind of almost zoomed in on President Trump standing behind her shoulder as she spoke and sort of talked about Lakin, got emotional, and you could see the president take this heavy, deep breath in, just sort of gutted, as I think I was, as everybody watching would be.

00:40:45.000 Hearing her describe her deceased daughter that was killed at the hands of an illegal Venezuelan immigrant who should have never been in this country, even Bill Clinton, if you'll remember during the campaign, said, didn't think they vetted that immigrant properly.

00:41:03.000 This person never should have been here, killed Lake and Riley, and to hear Alison Phillips speak about that from the heart during this signing ceremony was just...

00:41:11.000 And to see President Trump's reaction was also powerful.

00:41:14.000 It really was.

00:41:15.000 And it's definitely the element of Trump's personal brand of politics where he's at his strongest.

00:41:22.000 We have multiple cases of this.

00:41:24.000 Lakin Riley is out there, but there have been others that we've seen in the past where people have said, President Trump called me.

00:41:32.000 I think some of the people whose family were taken as hostages have talked about this, and there might be other examples.

00:41:38.000 But they've said, you know, President Trump called me about our family's thing and he's followed up with it.

00:41:45.000 He's called us later.

00:41:47.000 And he said he makes these promises.

00:41:49.000 I will get this taken care of.

00:41:51.000 And it's kind of becoming the dominant.

00:41:53.000 I think this will be the dominant theme of Trump's second presidency is that he really is.

00:42:00.000 It feels weird to say he is the American politician most focused on fulfilling the explicit promises he has made.

00:42:08.000 And that's what we've seen these first years.

00:42:10.000 A few weeks, he's just like, alright, what promises did I make in our platform?

00:42:14.000 What promises did I make in my speeches?

00:42:17.000 Let's go.

00:42:17.000 Number one.

00:42:18.000 Number two.

00:42:19.000 Number three.

00:42:19.000 And Blake, you've even seen Democrats, pundits on CNN, MSNBC saying, guys, you shouldn't be surprised that he's doing X, Y, and Z. He said exactly this during the campaign and he's fulfilling it.

00:42:32.000 We're just not used to Republicans or Democrats for that matter, politicians in general, fulfilling their promises.

00:42:38.000 I want to play this clip.

00:42:39.000 Really quick, though.

00:42:41.000 166. And you'll see the camera does actually zoom in on President Trump reacting to Lakin Riley's mother.

00:42:49.000 166. We also want to thank President Trump for the promises he made to us.

00:42:55.000 He said he would secure our borders and that he would never forget about Lakin.

00:43:01.000 And he hasn't.

00:43:03.000 He's a man of his word.

00:43:04.000 We trust that he will fight for the American people.

00:43:10.000 Most importantly, I want to thank our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, because without his sacrifices, Lakin's story would have ended on that horrific day that she was taken from us.

00:43:21.000 But because of him, we can continue living, knowing that we will see Lakin again.

00:43:26.000 Just powerful.

00:43:33.000 I think beyond just promises made, promises kept, Blake, I think to your earlier point, Realizing and seeing the American people realize how personal this is to President Trump and how much of a personal touch he pursues all of his policies with.

00:43:49.000 He is a guy that will call you and check in on you if your wife has cancer.

00:43:53.000 He is a guy, if some tragedy has befallen you, will call in multiple times to check in.

00:43:59.000 This is sort of unprecedented.

00:44:01.000 I don't know where he gets the time, but we have not seen that in an American politician, at least at this scale, on this level.

00:44:07.000 In my lifetime, I've never seen a politician like this.

00:44:11.000 It's an exceptional talent.

00:44:14.000 It sometimes is said what the greatest politicians they can do is there's 340 million people in America.

00:44:22.000 There are 80 million people who voted for President Trump.

00:44:24.000 He does not know all of them.

00:44:26.000 He cannot possibly know or speak to all of them.

00:44:29.000 But the greatest politicians, what they can do is they can create little...

00:44:35.000 Relationships in microcosm that allow tens of millions of people to feel like they know them.

00:44:43.000 And President Trump is incredibly talented at that.

00:44:46.000 He can take Lake and Riley's family and through his honest and earnest care for them to help bring justice for their daughter.

00:44:54.000 He communicates that he understands all the Americans, the thousands of Americans who have been harmed by what happened on our border, who have been harmed by the Biden crime wave.

00:45:06.000 And it's only world class politicians can do that. 0.96

00:45:10.000 None of us are capable of that.

00:45:12.000 Well, maybe Charlie could be capable of that.

00:45:14.000 But only a handful of people can do that.

00:45:17.000 And we're watching a world class politician do world class things.

00:45:23.000 Like I said, there's a reason I rated the first week a 10 out of 10 and surprised you, surprised Charlie, surprised everyone.

00:45:30.000 Yeah.

00:45:30.000 Well, Mark Halperin said he's seen two of these, and it's Bill Clinton, 12-3, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump.

00:45:37.000 Thanks so much.

00:45:38.000 Talk to you soon.
