00:01:31.000 Isn't it interesting how Republican senators are far more interested in what's happening in Ukraine than what's happening in Canada?

00:01:38.000 It's fine that the entire basically domestic Canadian military was mobilized against Canadian citizens. 0.89

00:01:46.000 People trying to film on the streets were arrested and were assaulted.

00:01:49.000 People were run over, literally, on the streets of Canada.

00:01:56.000 The organizer of the Canadian convoy, someone by the name of Tamara or Tamara Lich, has been denied bail.

00:02:06.000 She's threatened with 10 years in prison for wanting her daughter to grow up in a free Canada.

00:02:11.000 It was a nice goal, but wrong country. 0.90

00:02:14.000 They don't want it.

00:02:16.000 Now, what's amazing, and I'm still trying to make sense of this, is do the people of Canada support this?

00:02:26.000 Well, first, we know that American Democrats totally do support this from the post-millennial.

00:02:32.000 A recent poll revealed that a majority of American Democrats approve of the Canadian prime minister's crackdown on the freedom protesters in Ottawa after he invoked the Emergencies Act last week.

00:02:46.000 In a poll conducted by Trafalgar and the Convention of States action obtained by the Daily Wire, it revealed that 55% of likely general election voters overall disapprove of Troto's Trudeau's handling.

00:02:57.000 However, Democrat voters, 65% of them, favor Trudeau's crackdown on the protesters.

00:03:05.000 Of course, Republicans, 87%, say they disapprove of such measures.

00:03:12.000 Now, whether or not we know American Democrats support it, but do Canadians support it?

00:03:20.000 Well, it sees that 66%, according to Morrow Public Opinion, of Canadians support Prime Minister Justin Trudeau bringing in the Emergencies Act.

00:03:30.000 A majority, 56% of Canadians, do not support the truckers who are protesting in any way, shape, or form.

00:03:37.000 This is a majority view held in every province, region, across the country.

00:03:43.000 Now, most people in America have no idea what's actually happening in Canada.

00:03:46.000 I talked to some people that are kind of moderate to the left the other day, and I said, you know, what's amazing is happening in Canada.

00:03:53.000 They said, what do you mean?

00:03:55.000 I said, what do you mean?

00:03:56.000 They said, yeah, what's happening in Canada?

00:03:58.000 Zero knowledge at all whatsoever, had no understanding or awareness of anything happening in Canada.

00:04:06.000 So, for those of you that might not have seen the coverage this weekend, Trudeau basically declared martial law.

00:04:14.000 He brought the military in the streets of Ottawa and went block by block, street by street, and the police willingly and in some cases enthusiastically followed the orders of Justin Trudeau.

00:04:26.000 And I just want to give a little warning here, which is we support the police 100% in America, but we will stop supporting the police at a moment's notice if they just follow orders the way the Canadian police did.

00:04:50.000 We love the police.

00:04:51.000 They restore order.

00:04:53.000 They do their job.

00:04:54.000 They do a great service.

00:04:57.000 But for every police officer out there, I hope you're listening very carefully and I hope you're doing some reflection.

00:05:03.000 Hope you're doing some prayer and some meditation and rumination on this.

00:05:08.000 Would you march the streets of Ottawa and arrest peaceful protesters and knee them in the rib and take them out of trucks and arrest them forcefully and trample them like they did?

00:05:22.000 Would you do that?

00:05:25.000 What's happening in Ottawa is far more instructive to the future of America than what's happening in Kiev or whatever is happening in Ukraine.

00:05:35.000 Ottawa is a test run.

00:05:39.000 Ottawa is a dry run.

00:05:41.000 It's a dress rehearsal.

00:05:44.000 And there's many components of this because it's both what is happening with the force of the police and also the extra judicial measures that Canada has been willing to implement, such as seizure of bank accounts, the capturing of crypto asset Bitcoin wallets, the multiple different ways that they are beginning a crackdown against dissidents.

00:06:16.000 And something very important to remember.

00:06:19.000 Totalitarians and that idea of totalitarianism is a 20th century wrinkle in some ways.

00:06:26.000 We had dictators prior to the 20th century, but C.S. Lewis, Winston Churchill, Elvis Huxley, George Orwell, and Arthur Kessler, the big five that we talk about, Darkness at Noon, Screwtape Letters, 1984,

00:06:43.000 Brave New World, and the writings of Churchill, all five of them, and they were all contemporaries, they knew each other, all five of those authors in the 1940s and 1950s, they really developed in a deep and thoughtful way this idea of totalitarianism, which is more than a dictatorship, which is one man making a decision.

00:07:05.000 But totalitarianism is all-encompassing, total.

00:07:10.000 Total is the root of the word.

00:07:14.000 We control your thoughts.

00:07:17.000 We control your dreams.

00:07:20.000 We control your actions.

00:07:23.000 We control your ambitions.

00:07:26.000 As it famously says in 1984 by Orwell, the best way to keep a secret from Big Brother is to first keep the secret from yourself.

00:07:36.000 So what's happening in Canada, you could call it a canary in the coal mine.

00:07:39.000 You can call it a harbinger, a thing to come.

00:07:42.000 But I hope every American freedom lover, regardless of your political party, is studying it carefully and then making moves appropriately because it's going to come here next.

00:07:53.000 The people of Canada overwhelmingly support it.

00:07:55.000 That's what everyone is, that's what the polls are showing.

00:07:58.000 I don't know if I believe that or not, but let's say it's 50% of people in Canada support it.

00:08:03.000 It's awfully telling.

00:08:04.000 They're not a freedom-loving people.

00:08:05.000 They're not a liberty-loving people like we are in America.

00:08:10.000 But the point is that Trudeau had power and he was willing to use it.

00:08:16.000 Now, orders are only as good as the people who execute them.

00:08:24.000 Orders are only as good as the shock troopers that hear the order and then do it.

00:08:30.000 And so for American National Guardsmen, American police officers, this needs to be a time of reflection that when it comes here, when it comes to our shores, whose side will you be on?

00:08:50.000 We already know in New York City, the wonderful New York Police Department, who we totally support, they're arresting nine-year-olds for not having vaccine paperwork at museums.

00:08:59.000 I'm just following orders.

00:09:01.000 More evil has been done.

00:09:04.000 Let me say more evil has been executed in the last hundred years from people that gave the excuse.

00:09:10.000 I was just giving orders.

00:09:11.000 I am not comparing Canada to the atrocities of 1930s or 1940s Germany explicitly.

00:09:18.000 I think it's in the same ecosystem.

00:09:20.000 But just following orders was not an excuse at Nuremberg.

00:09:23.000 It's not.

00:09:26.000 You pledge an oath to the Constitution.

00:09:30.000 And if the leaders feel as if their orders are not going to be followed through by police officers or by National Guardsmen, then all of a sudden they might not make them in the first place.

00:09:40.000 They need shock troopers.

00:09:42.000 And what's happening in Ottawa is some of the shock troopers, not all, that are doing this in the streets of Ottawa, dragging people through the streets, throwing people down in the snow, seizing property, no bail, no chance of getting out of jail for the foreseeable future.

00:09:56.000 Huh, I wonder where we've seen that before, like the January 6th protesters that are in solitary confinement, the political prisoners.

00:10:02.000 Those police officers that are doing that, many of them are bragging on social media and having the time of their lives.

00:10:09.000 They're loving it.

00:11:58.000 Trudeau says the MPs who vote against the Emergency Act indicate that, quote, they don't trust the government to make incredibly momentous and important decisions.

00:12:06.000 Obviously, they don't trust the government, but the fact that they say that out loud and it's some sort of insult in Canada shows the different philosophy governing a country like Canada versus America.

00:12:17.000 In America, not trusting the government is a huge part of one of our major political parties.

00:12:23.000 We are naturally skeptical of centralized power, and you should be.

00:12:27.000 If you are embracing a centralized power, you hate history. 1.00

00:13:25.000 A majority of the MPs gave Trudeau the emergency acts power, martial law, because a bunch of people went to Ottawa peacefully, had a block party, and a bouncy castle and honked their horns.

00:13:43.000 That is worth signing the emergency act as if they're being invaded, as if there was some sort of ISIS insurgency.

00:13:51.000 Now, I want to use this moment to give a little fair warning.

00:13:55.000 There is a trucker American convoy that is starting up.

00:13:59.000 There's two of them, and I think they'll meet up at some point.

00:14:02.000 I am fully, completely, and enthusiastically in support of an American freedom convoy.

00:14:10.000 However, and listen carefully, the United States government, the regime, remember the regime is bigger than the government.

00:14:18.000 We've been through this before.

00:14:19.000 Regime is a blanket term we use on this program that incorporates Hollywood, Silicon Valley, celebrities, banking titans, World Health Organization, unelected bureaucrats, and of course the government.

00:14:34.000 It's all the power sources.

00:14:37.000 The regime is already working to kill the convoy before it starts.

00:14:42.000 The federal government and the regime has perfected the extra judicial powers, and they've done it in many different ways, like against WikiLeaks over a decade ago, when they weren't able to get a judge or a grand jury to agree Julian Assange had committed a crime.

00:14:58.000 So what do they do?

00:14:59.000 They freeze people's accounts.

00:15:01.000 They'll pressure financial institutions To cut off payments.

00:15:04.000 They'll seize crypto wallets.

00:15:06.000 They'll infiltrate this convoy with federal agents.

00:15:10.000 They'll criminalize the protesters as part of the American Freedom Convoy by labeling them domestic violent extremists, DVEs, and they'll try to instigate violence when none is present.

00:15:22.000 There is a cancer in America, and it's not Trump supporters.

00:15:26.000 It's the corrupt fourth estate regime.

00:15:30.000 And this is going to happen in the next couple weeks.

00:15:32.000 So you're going to see an American Trucker Freedom Convoy.

00:15:36.000 And I want every trucker who participates, and again, I enthusiastically support this to know the moment that you cross into the Eastern time zone and the closer you get to D.C., you must be willing to go to jail for the rest of your life despite doing nothing wrong, having no money, no job, no insurance, and be tarred and feathered as a terrorist for the rest of your life.

00:16:07.000 The U.S. Trucker Convoy is set off for D.C. this week from California, and I think there's another one coming in a couple weeks.

00:16:14.000 This one's called the People's Convoy.

00:16:16.000 It's rolling out of California tomorrow, actually, representing all Americans.

00:16:23.000 The convoy is going.

00:16:25.000 Now, if they try to blockade D.C., they're going to do what Trudeau did, but they're going to do it, I think, even more.

00:16:33.000 They're going to bring in the National Guard.

00:16:35.000 And so that goes back to my warning: police officers and National Guard, are you willing to execute the orders against your own citizens as you watch what happened in Canada?

00:16:46.000 Washington, D.C. prepares for a U.S. Freedom Convoy.

00:16:52.000 They're going to try to compare this to January 6th.

00:16:56.000 And they're going to try to infiltrate the convoy with federal agents to try to instigate chatter that is not authentic or organic.

00:20:01.000 So tell us a little bit, Drew, about some of the philosophy you're going to bring by going to the front lines and reporting what's actually happening when news unfolds.

00:20:11.000 Yeah, so this is what has become like a lost art.

00:20:15.000 You know, with our new show, I'll be hosting five days a week, and I have an entire network of on-the-ground reporters that I've been in contact with for the past few years, even right now, with some upcoming episodes on Frontlines.

00:20:27.000 Today we got Kyle Rittenhouse, but tomorrow we have the on-the-ground journalists in Ottawa right now.

00:20:32.000 They're going to come on live tomorrow and give us updates of what is actually taking place on the ground in Canada.

00:20:39.000 Alex, the woman that was assaulted by police officers the other day, some post-millennial journalists that are on the ground, Rebel News, they're doing an amazing job.

00:20:48.000 So the reason why this is important, Charlie, is, I mean, my experience being on the ground, the 2020 riots and 2021, just covering protests and stuff like that, is, you know, when we're dealing with fake news, right?

00:21:00.000 When we're dealing with these, I call them fake news media cartels.

00:21:03.000 I mean, they all move in unison.

00:21:05.000 They are an establishment that has the same message when they're slandering and targeting their political opponents.

00:21:12.000 The only way to really combat that is to have people that are involved with these stories that are taking place, especially when there's things unfolding on the ground.

00:21:21.000 So the philosophy behind what frontlines is actually going to be is a continuation of what I've already been doing.

00:21:28.000 And that's having people on the ground being at these places because it's really hard to lie when you have video evidence.

00:21:34.000 I mean, there's no commentary.

00:21:36.000 There's, you know, the context is given, but it's just you see it for yourself.

00:21:40.000 It's hard to really deny reality when things are just happening right before your very eyes.

00:21:45.000 But they still try, anyways.

00:21:46.000 And you know this, Charlie, even though you're literally watching something in real time happen, they still come and they slander and they lie and they propagate.

00:21:54.000 But I mean, that doesn't mean we stopped trying.

00:21:56.000 Yeah, it was a fiery but mostly peaceful protest in Kenosha, right?

00:22:01.000 While the building is burning behind that guy and he has like the goggles, you know, on his hat, on his forehead.

00:22:07.000 Yeah, it's fiery, but mostly peaceful.

00:22:09.000 So, Drew, talk to us about Canada.

00:22:12.000 We're getting some footage here and there out of Ottawa, but I don't think nearly enough.

00:22:17.000 Talk about how the regime of Canada is making what you are doing with us at Turning Point USA, citizen journalism, basically illegal now.

00:22:28.000 Well, this is real totalitarian fascism.

00:22:31.000 This is the real deal.

00:22:32.000 When you have the federal government, you have the government at large that is literally and specifically targeting political dissent, targeting political opponents and silencing them, especially the media.

00:22:45.000 We know that aspects of the government, they're in cahoots with each other, especially here in the United States.

00:22:50.000 CNN is obviously in cahoots with the Democrat, with the left and the far left.

00:22:54.000 But what we have to understand is when you see a totalitarian government not only control its media, but silence any opposition, that's serious, dangerous territory.

00:23:05.000 And that is exactly where Canada is right now.

00:23:08.000 Rebel news journalists have been specifically being targeted on the ground while they were at the protests in Ottawa.

00:23:15.000 They were reporting this in real time when the police began to move in and clear the streets of the truckers.

00:23:20.000 Some of the journalists on the ground were messaging me telling me, hey, these police, I don't even think they're police officers, Charlie.

00:23:27.000 These are like stormtroopers, like UN shipped in people that are just there to like control the police state, right?

00:23:34.000 These are evil people.

00:23:36.000 These are not people that we back.

00:23:37.000 When we say back the blue, it's not these guys. 0.98

00:23:40.000 These guys are evil.

00:23:41.000 This is the police state.

00:23:42.000 We back the good blue.

00:23:44.000 I think you would agree with that.

00:23:45.000 Yeah, I do.

00:23:46.000 But, you know, so what I'm saying is when you have the media being specifically targeted, they've been messaging me saying, Drew, Alex, she was on Tucker.

00:23:55.000 She's been all over.

00:23:56.000 She was specifically shot with a less lethal munition by a stormtrooper and all these other journalists that are walking around just filming, even citizens.

00:24:05.000 I mean, the viral video that went out the other day of this citizen walking down the street in Ottawa trying to get a coffee and she's filling the cops and they get in her face like a gang of thugs.

00:24:16.000 Say, why are you filming us?

00:24:17.000 Why is your camera in our face?

00:24:18.000 And the stormtrooper grabs her camera, says, do not do this.

00:24:23.000 If we see you again, it's going to be a different story and stops her from filming and threatens her. 1.00

00:24:27.000 So we are seeing a totalitarian regime silence its media.

00:24:31.000 And it's for one reason.

00:24:33.000 They don't want the world to see what's really happening.

00:24:36.000 They don't want their own people to see what's happening.

00:24:39.000 That's the sinister part, Charlie, is not only do they not want the world seeing what's taking place and their crimes against humanity, they don't want people in Canada to see how violent they've been getting.

00:26:02.000 A lot of the civilization, the civilizational turning events, Drew, are happening not in cigar-filled rooms or kind of these backdoor deals.

00:26:23.000 You know, in my theology as a born-again Christian, I would see myself as a little more reformed.

00:26:31.000 But I say that because I think my involvement with journalism and I think my involvement with on the ground reporting has been like this reformation.

00:26:40.000 And when you're experiencing a reformation, when you're experiencing something like that, you're basically going back to the basics.

00:26:49.000 You're going back to what the core doctrine of what something once used to be, departing from where it's at now.

00:26:57.000 And that's what I chose to do with my own personal career.

00:27:00.000 And I think that's kind of what it's become.

00:27:03.000 And I want to encourage people because, listen, I'm a nobody, Charlie.

00:27:06.000 I didn't go, you know, to university or college to be a journalist.

00:27:49.000 We need a reformation in that.

00:27:50.000 We need to come back to just honest articles and reporting of just people breaking down what happened.

00:27:56.000 There's so many different avenues where you could be a writer.

00:27:58.000 You could be a videographer.

00:28:00.000 You could be someone that's on the camera communicating.

00:28:03.000 God knows we need honest people communicating on camera right now, Charlie.

00:28:07.000 And we do our best to do that.

00:28:09.000 But there's so many different avenues people can get involved with.

00:28:12.000 But the core thing here, Charlie, and I know your heart is here too, is truth, right?

00:28:20.000 The core foundation of what we are doing in the world of the media and journalism is we want to tell the truth.

00:28:28.000 We want to know the truth because that is what is going to genuinely lead a human being to make their own autonomous, independent decisions.

00:28:37.000 We have lost that, Charlie, in the media.

00:28:40.000 We have lost that completely and people want that back.

00:28:43.000 People desperately want that back because the news isn't a bad thing.

00:28:47.000 Journalism isn't a bad thing.

00:28:48.000 But just like anything else in this world, it could be taken, tainted, and made evil.

00:28:56.000 I guess we can call it this like reformation that's been happening in the world of journalism.
