The Charlie Kirk Show - Pop Culture Primer — The Royals, New Oscar Diversity Push, Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift and More with Alex Clark and Jobob

00:00:00.000 Welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.

00:00:01.000 This is a very special pop culture episode.

00:00:05.000 We talk Chris Pratt, we talk Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift, we talk the Oscars going even more woke.

00:00:11.000 You're not going to want to miss it.

00:00:13.000 We have a lot of fun here.

00:00:15.000 I'm just going to let me say this.

00:00:16.000 If you find yourself over a certain age and a little out of touch with pop culture, I want to say, listen in.

00:00:22.000 This is going to be like a little primer.

00:00:23.000 It's going to catch you up.

00:00:24.000 It's important that we know what's going on in our culture.

00:00:27.000 It's important that we know what's going on beyond the realm of politics.

00:00:30.000 And from time to time, we like to do that here at the Charlie Kirk Show so that you know what's going on, so you know what to talk about with your kids.

00:00:36.000 If you're young, if you're one of our younger audience, you're going to really love this.

00:00:39.000 We have some fun, lively debate back and forth, lots of laughs.

00:00:43.000 We welcome Alex Clark, host of the Spillover podcast and a Turning Point USA contributor, as well as Joe Bob, the man who only needs one name, who is a funny, funny guy and pop culture expert, also a Turning Point USA contributor.

00:00:57.000 We go through all the different stories that are current right now.

00:01:00.000 Buckle up. 0.96

00:01:01.000 Here we go.

00:01:02.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.

00:01:04.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campuses.

00:01:06.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.

00:01:09.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.

00:01:13.000 I want to thank Charlie.

00:01:14.000 He's an incredible guy.

00:01:15.000 His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.

00:01:22.000 Turning point USA. 0.65

00:01:23.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.

00:01:32.000 That's why we are here.

00:01:35.000 Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com.

00:01:45.000 Hello, everybody.

00:01:46.000 Welcome back to the Charlie Kirk Show.

00:01:47.000 This is Andrew Colvett, executive producer of the Charlie Kirk Show, joined by none other than Alex Clark, host of the Spillover podcast, and Joe Bob, the TPUSA contributor that only has one name.

00:02:00.000 One grandparent was Joe, the other one was Bob.

00:02:02.000 That's all you need to know for that.

00:02:03.000 It is a weird name, but you know, it is easier.

00:02:06.000 So nobody has to pronounce the last name.

00:02:06.000 It's easier.

00:02:08.000 Well, that's true.

00:02:09.000 Yeah, but it's confusing on multiple levels, which we can discuss at another time.

00:02:14.000 But I just want, okay, let me set the stage for our audience because they're probably like, what the heck is going on?

00:02:19.000 We went from like, you know, Joe Biden, indictment, Title 42, women's sports, and now we got Alex Clark and Joe Bob.

00:02:28.000 We're talking about culture, pop culture.

00:02:31.000 Pop culture.

00:02:32.000 Yeah, this is a pop culture hour.

00:02:33.000 If you are anything like myself, and certainly like Charlie, I'm bad, but Charlie is like really bad at pop culture.

00:02:40.000 If you're anything like us, then this is why we have Alex and Joe Bob because we're going to talk all about pop culture.

00:02:47.000 And, you know, listen, you can, you can, you know, say pop culture doesn't matter.

00:02:51.000 You can thumb your nose at it.

00:02:53.000 You can, you can do all those sorts of things, which conservatives are very guilty of doing.

00:02:56.000 Let's be honest.

00:02:57.000 We don't, we like to sort of, you know, act like we're above it.

00:03:01.000 Well, listen, here's the thing: one of our missions on this show and at Turning Point USA is to reach young people.

00:03:07.000 And guess what they're consuming?

00:03:08.000 Pop culture.

00:03:09.000 So you've got to be, you've got to be educated on this stuff.

00:03:12.000 So we're just going to have fun for this hour.

00:03:14.000 We're going to talk about all these different stories.

00:03:16.000 And by the way, you definitely need to subscribe to Alex Clark's, Alex Clark's, did I say that?

00:03:22.000 Podcast, The Spillover.

00:03:23.000 And Joe Bob, where can people find you?

00:03:25.000 The internet.

00:03:26.000 Just type in J-O-B-O-B, you'll be able to find me.

00:03:28.000 But I heard from the producers as a part of reaching that younger audience.

00:03:32.000 If there are enough texts and emails, you will do a TikTok dance.

00:03:37.000 Did I hear that correct?

00:03:39.000 No, producer Andrew.

00:03:43.000 I don't want the Chinese being able to see my dance moves. 1.00

00:03:45.000 Those are confidential.

00:03:48.000 That could cause a national crisis.

00:03:50.000 You should still text me.

00:03:51.000 Taiwan will get invaded immediately after if I do a TikTok dance watch.

00:03:55.000 All right.

00:03:55.000 So, okay.

00:03:56.000 There are a lot of topics that I want to cover here.

00:03:59.000 And it was funny, when we were in the break, we were talking about what we were going to start with first.

00:04:04.000 And there's a ton of options on the table.

00:04:07.000 And of course, Alex Clark said, I don't want to talk about the Queen's Coronation or the King's Coronation because I don't know anything about the British stuff.

00:04:13.000 And so I immediately thought, then we're starting with the coronation.

00:04:16.000 Of course.

00:04:17.000 So, Joe Bob, why don't you fill us in?

00:04:19.000 So King Charles is now King Charles, right?

00:04:21.000 He's been crowned.

00:04:22.000 That's what a coronation is.

00:04:23.000 He was the king already.

00:04:24.000 And I think this is interesting too, because my wife and I were just in London for like a week, like two weeks ago, and everybody was prepped with the coronation.

00:04:32.000 Oh, the coronation is happening May 6th.

00:04:35.000 And isn't the coronation going to be so grand?

00:04:37.000 It was funny.

00:04:38.000 All of our tour guides in London were saying, well, the king will walk down this road and the king will do this.

00:04:44.000 And I couldn't help but think the entire time, and maybe this just makes me a patriot American, who cares?

00:04:52.000 I do not understand why anybody cares so much about the king of a foreign country and this whole idea of running society as a democracy, the idea of a monarch and king.

00:05:05.000 I don't get it.

00:05:07.000 Well, I mean, that part of it is really not the controversial part.

00:05:12.000 I mean, you and I had a disagreement in the break.

00:05:15.000 I think there's a place for the royals and the monarchy as an institution in England.

00:05:20.000 I think it's good when a country holds up these institutions that have history and tradition built into them that the people know and love and look up to.

00:05:29.000 The queen was the great.

00:05:31.000 There's a lot of people in this audience that think the queen was this globalist shill and she was actually working with the Rockefellers and all this stuff.

00:05:36.000 I don't know anything about that.

00:05:38.000 All I'm saying, all I'm saying is that she comported herself with dignity, respect.

00:05:43.000 She honored the church and the Church of England, the tradition that was handed down to her.

00:05:47.000 She was a steward of, she looked at her family as something to be protected from the British tabloid press.

00:05:55.000 Now, Joe Bob comes at it from a different angle.

00:05:57.000 You don't like it, do you very much?

00:05:59.000 No.

00:05:59.000 You know why?

00:06:00.000 Because I'm an American.

00:06:01.000 Okay, but here's what I don't understand.

00:06:03.000 You're king of England.

00:06:04.000 And I feel like there's a piece that I'm missing here.

00:06:06.000 It seems to me like the English aren't that excited about this coronation and stuff either.

00:06:10.000 Is that because they all hold a grudge against him for cheating on Princess Diana forever ago?

00:06:14.000 Or what's the problem?

00:06:15.000 I think that, well, Joe Bob, what's your take?

00:06:17.000 You're the one.

00:06:18.000 I don't know if I call myself an expert or anything.

00:06:22.000 Well, when I was there, everybody was excited about it.

00:06:24.000 That was the interesting thing, too, because I kind of thought, like, okay, you go through the motions, you know, whatever.

00:06:28.000 But then they were showing us like this many people are going to be out front of Buckingham Palace.

00:06:33.000 This many people are going to be lining the streets.

00:06:35.000 And I thought, really?

00:06:36.000 Like, that many people still care?

00:06:39.000 Okay, but I think to your point, there could be a disconnect between what you're seeing in the media and some of the tabloid press versus your run-of-the-mill average British citizen, right?

00:06:50.000 I want to play.

00:06:50.000 And there's all this other intrigue because Harry and Megan are on the outs.

00:06:56.000 I heard that Megan showed up in disguise.

00:06:58.000 Did you see that?

00:06:59.000 No.

00:07:01.000 How did you hear this?

00:07:03.000 Yeah, I mean, the pictures were all over Twitter.

00:07:04.000 It was by far the best part.

00:07:06.000 Hold on, no, hold on.

00:07:08.000 The best part is 66.

00:07:09.000 Put this image up on the screen and put it on the stream.

00:07:12.000 This is a picture of Harry.

00:07:15.000 He didn't get in the front row and he's sort of persona non grata.

00:07:19.000 He's in the back row and at a second row, if you will.

00:07:23.000 And there is this aunt of his that was Princess Anne.

00:07:26.000 Yeah, was it Princess?

00:07:27.000 I forget what her name is.

00:07:28.000 Princess Anne.

00:07:29.000 So she's riding around on a horse.

00:07:31.000 She's getting all these, she's getting all this free pub, you know, older lady riding on the horse looking strong. 0.93

00:07:35.000 And then she wears this crazy hat that blocks Harry's face. 1.00

00:07:39.000 Was that on purpose?

00:07:41.000 I would presume.

00:07:42.000 Was it?

00:07:43.000 Oh my gosh.

00:07:44.000 I mean, maybe it was a happy accident, but you got to believe somebody.

00:07:48.000 I mean, everything is so scripted with the British. 1.00

00:07:50.000 Oh, but that was definitely on purpose. 0.64

00:07:52.000 Nobody else is wearing, I mean, they're all, a lot of them are wearing ridiculous hats, but nobody's wearing one that would blatantly block out the person behind them.

00:08:01.000 I mean, he really burns some bridges.

00:08:03.000 So there's another, another sort of behind-the-scenes story, right?

00:08:07.000 That his father, Harry's father, the king, gave away, was it Frogmore?

00:08:13.000 Put the name of the estate in the chat.

00:08:16.000 It was something frog.

00:08:17.000 It was an estate that was the last piece of property that he had control of because of his royal bloodline, right?

00:08:25.000 King Charles gives it to Prince Andrew.

00:08:28.000 So now Prince Andrew, and he's the one on the outside.

00:08:33.000 They deny it.

00:08:34.000 Frogmore Cottage is what it's called.

00:08:35.000 Frogmore Cottage.

00:08:36.000 So they give this last remaining estate that Megan and Harry could use when they went to the UK.

00:08:44.000 They give it to Prince Andrew.

00:08:46.000 I don't know where he is.

00:08:47.000 So essentially, you're saying that was on purpose, like a big F you to Harry.

00:08:50.000 I think the whole thing. 0.97

00:08:51.000 Like, we're going to pick the pedophile over you. 0.98

00:08:53.000 Yes. 0.95

00:08:53.000 I think the whole thing is like, I think it was a message from King Charles saying, you have disgraced this family, young sir. 0.95

00:09:00.000 You have literally, you wrote a book calling yourself the spare. 0.97

00:09:03.000 You make me look like a big jerk while I'm trying to take over the reins from the queen that everybody loved who's been serving since, you know, I was, what was it, 60, 70? 0.99

00:09:12.000 How I don't know. 1.00

00:09:12.000 70 years. 1.00

00:09:13.000 Yeah.

00:09:13.000 I think it said it is a terrible look on Harry.

00:09:17.000 I don't think he should have showed up at all.

00:09:19.000 The way that he has trashed that entire institution, that entire family, the fact that he had the gall to show up, I thought that was so disrespectful.

00:09:28.000 Like he shouldn't have come.

00:09:30.000 It's still his dad, allegedly.

00:09:31.000 All right, hold on.

00:09:32.000 Hold on.

00:09:33.000 We have this image that you talked about of her going in disguise.

00:09:37.000 I don't think this is all true.

00:09:40.000 This is 100%.

00:09:43.000 I apologize because you can't see it.

00:09:48.000 There is somebody, there is a mysterious person that showed up to the coronation that nobody knows who they are.

00:09:53.000 They cannot identify them, but clearly they are in fake glasses, a fake mustache, and a fake wig.

00:09:58.000 And people are saying it's Megan Markle.

00:10:00.000 It's a spinning image, so you don't need to see it on the radio.

00:10:02.000 It's a spinning image of the.

00:10:03.000 The guy's wearing a blonde wig with a big old, what is that, a Fu Manchu?

00:10:07.000 Like, what do you call that?

00:10:09.000 And like 70s creeper glasses.

00:10:11.000 Clearly, this is a disguise.

00:10:13.000 So who is in disclosure?

00:10:13.000 No, look at the chin.

00:10:14.000 The chin doesn't.

00:10:15.000 So here's the question.

00:10:16.000 If Megan Markle were in disguise, how would she do it any different than that photo?

00:10:22.000 I don't think she could.

00:10:24.000 I just don't think she could do it, right?

00:10:26.000 I mean, maybe she would.

00:10:27.000 Maybe she's, you know, a woman scorned, as they say. 1.00

00:10:31.000 I mean, maybe this is like MI6, like helping her out, like on the DL, or maybe it's just a bad, like, Hollywood prosthetics, like, shop that's like, don't worry, girl, we got you.

00:10:40.000 But no one has been able to say or identify who this person is.

00:10:44.000 If you got, if you, you in the audience, if you think you know the answer to this, freedom at charliekirk.com, I want to hear your response.

00:10:44.000 All right.

00:10:50.000 Do you think that picture is Megan Markle?

00:10:53.000 Like, is there a chance?

00:10:55.000 I don't know.

00:10:56.000 Do you, and by the way, here's the other real more serious question.

00:10:59.000 Do you think that there is a place for the British monarchy in today's day and age, or do you think it's a vestige of years past and it should be wiped from the face of the aisle?

00:11:08.000 Well, I just wanted people to stop pretending it's important.

00:11:11.000 It's a bunch of adults that act like it's important.

00:11:14.000 Alex Clark, host of the Spillover podcast, which, by the way, is doing tremendous.

00:11:19.000 Everybody around the office just like bigs up on your podcast all the time.

00:11:24.000 Why don't you tell us a little bit about it?

00:11:24.000 You get some great guests.

00:11:25.000 Just on the spot.

00:11:27.000 I've had everybody from someone that grew up, their family business was doing exorcisms with their dad.

00:11:33.000 They performed over 200 in their living room.

00:11:35.000 So that's fun.

00:11:36.000 That's different.

00:11:38.000 And experts, different child psychologists and different things.

00:11:41.000 Every week essentially is a different interview with somebody that either has an incredible life story or incredible expertise on something.

00:11:49.000 And it's one a week?

00:11:51.000 One a week, every Friday.

00:11:52.000 So, subscribe anywhere you get your podcast to the spillover and the Charlie Kirk show.

00:11:56.000 Both of those should be your top subscribed shows.

00:11:58.000 I agree.

00:11:59.000 But, Charlie Kirk show, first spillover, second.

00:12:01.000 Close.

00:12:02.000 It's like one A, one B. Joe Bob, tell people where to find you and what you do.

00:12:06.000 I mean, you are Charlie's dance instructor.

00:12:10.000 Yeah, that is it.

00:12:10.000 I do all of if you've seen Charlie Kirk dance ever, I have done the choreography for that.

00:12:15.000 Obviously, that is zero times.

00:12:17.000 But I don't know.

00:12:19.000 I don't know what to tell people what I did.

00:12:20.000 You're a turning point contributor, contributor, comedian.

00:12:23.000 If I deduce it down, I think I'm a professional smart Alec.

00:12:27.000 I think that's my actual job.

00:12:28.000 Thank you for using the nice.

00:12:30.000 Yeah, I kind of figured, you know, Joe Bob doesn't do himself any justice here.

00:12:34.000 He's a former boy bander. 1.00

00:12:35.000 Yeah, Joe Bob opens for Charlie when he does his campus tour.

00:12:39.000 Joe Bob was, if you heard the oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, that's what it was.

00:12:43.000 Whoa, whoa, whoa.

00:12:44.000 Actually, when Charlie got Antifa came after him at UC Davis, you were filming right there close to the glass getting broke by Antifa saying, whoa, whoa, whoa.

00:12:55.000 I turned into an Antifa riot.

00:12:57.000 I'm the comedian that goes on.

00:12:58.000 When I would open for Charlie, I would pull up a random person from the audience and I would do this terribly death-defying stunt.

00:13:04.000 I would guess their gender.

00:13:06.000 I know.

00:13:06.000 It was amazing.

00:13:07.000 And it actually was 100%.

00:13:08.000 But, anyways, I found myself in the middle of a riot on accident and glass getting shattered in my face.

00:13:14.000 Well, you know what's funny about that?

00:13:16.000 I think, I don't know if I sent you the clip, but you did.

00:13:18.000 With Greg Gutfeld played it.

00:13:21.000 Greg Gutfeld plays the clip of the glass getting broke at UC Davis for his show, Gutfeld.

00:13:27.000 And then he gets done with it and he's looking at the camera and goes, that's a lot of woes.

00:13:32.000 Why is that such a perfect impression of him, though?

00:13:36.000 I have no recollection of those woes.

00:13:38.000 Well, it was a scary one.

00:13:39.000 I mean, who knows what they were going to do next?

00:13:40.000 Were they going to bash the windows in and then break through?

00:13:43.000 I mean, I'm surprised you stayed there as long as you were.

00:13:45.000 Well, this is why I don't go to these because I would literally poop my pants.

00:13:48.000 Like, I would have been so scared if I was standing there and using the radio friendly.

00:13:53.000 I would be so scared if I was standing there and all of a sudden the door is shattering, glass breaks, and Antifa storming in. 0.80

00:13:58.000 Like, I could not do that.

00:13:59.000 Well, and also, you know, big shout out to all of the security.

00:14:02.000 The SWAT team came in and like, really just my mom is listening also, and she's very concerned about these sorts of things.

00:14:07.000 We are very well protected, but in that particular instance, I was a little bit too close.

00:14:11.000 I want to say one thing to the folks at UC Davis because I get to see some of the behind-the-scenes chatter.

00:14:11.000 Well, you know what?

00:14:18.000 We haven't forgot what you did, and we are still very much looking at our options.

00:14:24.000 So stay tuned for that.

00:14:25.000 Is that the right way to get it?

00:14:27.000 If anybody knows what happened, the chancellor at UC Davis, the guy gets paid $800,000 a year to be a mediocre hack.

00:14:36.000 He came out the day of the event with a sanctioned university video that they produced in-house at the university and said that Charlie had advocated for harm against trans people.

00:14:49.000 He was parroting a talking point from the Sacramento B that was parroting a trans activist and serial hoaxer, Aaron, what is it, Aaron in the morning, who is a trans person that lies about conservatives for a living on the internet and said Charlie wanted to lynch trans people in an interview with Riley Gaines, who we just had on.

00:15:07.000 Well, so and then the Sacramento B was forced to retract that.

00:15:12.000 But for some reason, the chancellor of UC Davis has not.

00:15:16.000 I actually tweet him like once a week.

00:15:17.000 Say, hey, waiting for the apology.

00:15:20.000 And again, UC Davis, we know where to find you, and so do our attorneys.

00:15:24.000 That's all I'm going to say.

00:15:28.000 I want to talk about relief factor.com.

00:16:06.000 Chris Pratt is undeniably talented.

00:16:10.000 So is Morgan Wallen.

00:16:11.000 Now, Morgan Wallen is a country star.

00:16:13.000 We were talking about this in the break.

00:16:14.000 Both are what you would call in modern parlance, cis white male Christians.

00:16:20.000 And they just, people love to hate on these two, but they are incredibly successful.

00:16:26.000 I don't think Alex likes either of them.

00:16:28.000 No, I do.

00:16:29.000 You were looking at me like you didn't like them.

00:16:31.000 No, I like them.

00:16:32.000 I just did.

00:16:32.000 I'm just waiting to see what you're going to bring up about them.

00:16:35.000 But yeah, Chris Pratt's in the news right now because of talking about more Christianity stuff.

00:16:39.000 His faith.

00:16:40.000 His faith.

00:16:41.000 And then Morgan Wallen's in the news because he just announced a few minutes ago that he was canceling the next six weeks of shows.

00:16:47.000 Which is a massive deal.

00:16:48.000 I mean, if you think the Taylor Swift tour is a big deal, well, Taylor Swift didn't have 15 of the top, actually was the top 15 on the top 100 charts.

00:16:56.000 All top 15 were Morgan Wallen songs.

00:16:58.000 What did Taylor Swift have?

00:16:59.000 You can tell me on the other side of the break.

00:17:00.000 I'm sure it was very impressive. 0.98

00:17:02.000 But anyways, I will say, so I started this by saying that cis white Christian men are getting hated on.

00:17:07.000 Chris Pratt's taking all kinds of incoming because of his faith.

00:17:10.000 He's saying people are recasting him in Hollywood.

00:17:12.000 Then we started talking about Morgan Wallen.

00:17:14.000 I made the off-hated comment that Morgan Wallen had the top 15 of the 100 songs on the charts when his new album released, which had like 15.

00:17:26.000 Yes, she had the whole top 10.

00:17:29.000 She also, her and Morgan Wallen both have taken up, had the longest running album in the top 10 of Billboard 200.

00:17:37.000 She is equal but different.

00:17:40.000 She had to take albums.

00:17:42.000 She also had 10 full albums charting on the Billboard top 10s last week.

00:17:46.000 Are they dating or something?

00:17:47.000 No.

00:17:48.000 We're just coming here.

00:17:49.000 Apparently, it's like Morgan v. V. Taylor.

00:17:52.000 Now, okay.

00:17:53.000 So Morgan, Morgan is a guy that, okay, so he just canceled all of his shows.

00:17:58.000 I can play this clip for everybody because people are getting real fired up about it.

00:18:02.000 He has a vocal condition that he has injured his vocal cords.

00:18:06.000 Now, this became the source of some controversy because he was spotted partying with LSU swimmer and influencers gymnastics.

00:18:14.000 Influencer Livvy Dunn, who has like 10 million followers on Instagram.

00:18:20.000 I know, I just saw from the article I read.

00:18:22.000 It was like 10 on Instagram.

00:18:24.000 Morgan has a type.

00:18:25.000 Morgan has a type.

00:18:26.000 Okay, let's play Cut 68.

00:18:27.000 This is Morgan's excuse for not being able to perform his tour for the next six weeks.

00:18:33.000 Wait.

00:18:34.000 I got some bad news for my doctors at the Vanderbilt Voice Center yesterday.

00:18:40.000 After taking 10 days of vocal rest, I performed three shows last weekend in Florida.

00:18:47.000 And by the third morning, I felt terrible.

00:18:50.000 So I went in and got scoped yesterday, and they told me that I re-injured my vocal cords and that I have vocal fold trauma.

00:18:59.000 Their advice is that I go on vocal rest for six weeks.

00:19:04.000 So that's what I'm going to do.

00:19:07.000 We're working on rescheduling all the dates during this time frame.

00:19:11.000 We've almost got that done, but some of them are pending, so I'll keep you updated.

00:19:14.000 I won't be able to make these festivals that I have during this time frame, but we are going to make those right.

00:19:22.000 Wait a minute.

00:19:23.000 Okay.

00:19:24.000 So you told me that he's going on vocal rest and therefore is taking six weeks off.

00:19:28.000 And then there was a video, and I kind of assumed that it would be like type text.

00:19:32.000 But if you're on vocal rest, you shouldn't be talking as a person who has had to go on vocal rest.

00:19:38.000 You shouldn't be talking.

00:19:39.000 He says in the full-length video, he says they even advised me not to talk.

00:19:42.000 Yeah, I told him I was going to come and I was going to at least say this.

00:19:46.000 Okay.

00:19:48.000 Let me say something unpopular about Morgan Wallen.

00:19:50.000 Okay, I think he's unbelievably talented, hot as hell.

00:19:54.000 I love his music, all of that.

00:19:56.000 That's how you really feel.

00:19:57.000 Here's the thing: I feel uncomfortable right now.

00:19:59.000 Morgan Wallen, Morgan Wallen has repeatedly shown us how unprofessional he is.

00:20:07.000 He is very irresponsible.

00:20:09.000 He does not take care of his voice.

00:20:10.000 He knows that he's on tour right now.

00:20:12.000 So why is he going out and partying?

00:20:14.000 And we know by reports, the one show that he had that was canceled.

00:20:18.000 The one in Alabama or was that Mississippi?

00:20:20.000 I don't know.

00:20:21.000 But just a few days ago, he had to cancel the show also.

00:20:23.000 And by the way, they knew he wasn't in the building a full hour before people started showing up.

00:20:28.000 They still let fans show up just to tell them, hey, he's not coming on tonight, Senthamora Home.

00:20:32.000 So he goes out, he parties, he drinks.

00:20:35.000 He does it.

00:20:35.000 He's not taking care of his voice while he's on this tour.

00:20:39.000 And so a lot of this, I feel like, can be blamed on him.

00:20:41.000 But he's a rock star.

00:20:43.000 Yeah.

00:20:43.000 I feel bad for him.

00:20:44.000 I mean, you're supposed to, aren't you supposed to sort of like destroy hotel rooms and all this stuff?

00:20:49.000 I mean, I don't condone that.

00:20:51.000 I'm just, you know, but I mean, it's kind of an MO, right?

00:20:54.000 I mean, we're going to be really surprised that he's living hard.

00:20:57.000 When you're talking about like artists, and in this particular case, literally a rock star, do you get the question is, do you get the massive amount of creativity in the artistry without the crazy stuff?

00:21:10.000 Right?

00:21:11.000 You know what I'm saying?

00:21:11.000 Again, not condoning it.

00:21:12.000 Well, there is a okay.

00:21:14.000 So Morgan Wallen is widely known to have a drinking problem, right?

00:21:17.000 And actually, his first song on his record, I read this whole write about it, is Born with a Beer in My Hand.

00:21:22.000 And he said, people keep telling me not to drink because they think it's going to kill me.

00:21:25.000 But if I wouldn't have drunk, if I would have ever picked up the bottle, I wouldn't have anything to write about.

00:21:29.000 That's what he says.

00:21:30.000 Yeah.

00:21:31.000 Again, don't condone it.

00:21:32.000 I'm just saying that's his perspective.

00:21:34.000 But now, I bring this up, you know, in a and I we're sort of skipping over Chris Pratt, who's getting hated on, but whatever.

00:21:41.000 I bring this up, and then instantly our team, Daisy and Emma from our team, rush in and they're like, you are dead wrong about Morgan Wall.

00:21:48.000 Taylor Swift is the best.

00:21:49.000 She was delayed for four hours in the pouring rain in Nashville and she still played her show.

00:21:54.000 Now, Joe Bob brought up an interesting counterpoint to that.

00:21:57.000 What was your point, Joe Bob?

00:21:59.000 I mean, the point is that there's a lot of money on the line here.

00:22:02.000 And if I were her, I don't care.

00:22:05.000 If the options were given to me in the dressing room, hey, do you want to play this show in the rain or do you just want to call it quits?

00:22:11.000 How much money are you paying me?

00:22:12.000 A couple million dollars?

00:22:13.000 Yeah, let's go ahead and go play that show.

00:22:15.000 Yeah, exactly.

00:22:16.000 She probably, so, okay, reports are, and I don't know if you know this, so Alex is a die-hard Swifty.

00:22:22.000 Literally, the background of my phone.

00:22:23.000 Unapologetic.

00:22:24.000 Like, it's fairly obnoxious if you're around the turning point ecosystem.

00:22:29.000 But nevertheless, we have Swifties on our team too, apparently.

00:22:33.000 They're coming out of the woodwork here, folks. 0.96

00:22:35.000 I had no idea.

00:22:36.000 So, is this true?

00:22:38.000 Have you heard the same that Taylor Swift is about to double this tour that she's on?

00:22:42.000 Is it going to double her net worth?

00:22:45.000 Yeah, so she already has a net worth of over 400 million. 0.95

00:22:49.000 This era's tour is on track to becoming possibly one of the highest-grossing tours of all time.

00:22:54.000 And we're talking, there are people that are camping out for days to get merch.

00:23:00.000 The merch that you can buy online, by the way.

00:23:03.000 They're camping out to get merch, waiting for hours and hours.

00:23:06.000 Those fans, when there was like a three-hour rain delay on Sunday night for her last Nashville show, they didn't go home and just say, All right, forget it.

00:23:15.000 They waited for her and she still performed.

00:23:18.000 And she went two hours past curfew.

00:23:21.000 I believe, oh my gosh, what is it?

00:23:24.000 $1,000 a minute?

00:23:25.000 I believe she owed like $120K just in overtime fees for going over.

00:23:30.000 All right.

00:23:31.000 Go ahead, Joe Bob.

00:23:32.000 Well, no, I would, you know, if that, if that's actually true and she's going to make all of that money, I think put your money where your mouth is, especially when she starts spouting off about politics. 1.00

00:23:40.000 Go ahead and lead by example.

00:23:42.000 Proactively giving your money.

00:23:44.000 So she was vehemently anti-Trump.

00:23:47.000 She had that whole that whole behind-the-scenes interaction with her with her, yes, where she endorsed voting for a pure communist, but that's fine.

00:23:58.000 Um, so she she she tells her parents, like, I have to come be public about this.

00:24:03.000 You know, I've never gotten political before, but I'm telling you, this time is different.

00:24:08.000 It's Donald Trump, and you're and you still back, you still back this person.

00:24:12.000 I am, I feel like I am emotionally mature enough that I can separate the art from the artist.

00:24:17.000 Let me tell you something that drives me nuts about conservatives.

00:24:20.000 If we really were to say, all right, we are boycotting every single celebrity, artist, musician, actor that is a leftist, then I guess we're all going to be living under an overpass in a cardboard box because everything pretty much in pop culture leans left.

00:24:37.000 So, what do we have?

00:24:38.000 So, to me, I look at Taylor as one of the greatest performers and songwriters of all time, and I love her art.

00:24:45.000 And so, I can set aside that she is a raging leftist for that. 0.85

00:24:52.000 That is worth it to me.

00:24:53.000 Some people, for some reason, can't make excuses.

00:24:55.000 I think that's a fine point, but they'll make excuses for other celebrities, which I won't.

00:24:59.000 I think you're right.

00:24:59.000 I think so.

00:25:00.000 The point I was making is that you got Chris Pratt, you've got Morgan Wall, and they get so much hate online when anything goes bad or if there's any controversy.

00:25:08.000 It's like this massive news story.

00:25:10.000 Here's what I will say: I think Taylor gets the female version of it. 1.00

00:25:13.000 I do think that.

00:25:14.000 I mean, she looks like a Barbie doll. 0.96

00:25:16.000 She's tall, slender, beautiful, talented, rich, you know, straight, that much we know. 0.87

00:25:22.000 She dates around, which brings me to my next Taylor Swift controversy.

00:25:25.000 So, apparently, I didn't know this.

00:25:28.000 Swear I didn't know this.

00:25:29.000 I got told this from my team in the break.

00:25:32.000 So, apparently, she was dating some dude in the UK.

00:25:35.000 Apparently, she loved British actor Joe Alwyn.

00:25:37.000 Okay.

00:25:38.000 Oh, my God.

00:25:38.000 Yes.

00:25:39.000 And now they broke up after six years.

00:25:41.000 It was secret for six years.

00:25:43.000 No, it wasn't secret.

00:25:44.000 It was open, but they were very, very private.

00:25:44.000 Oh, it wasn't.

00:25:47.000 Okay.

00:25:47.000 So you knew about this.

00:25:48.000 It was a bit of a double.

00:25:48.000 Okay.

00:25:49.000 But then they broke up.

00:25:50.000 And now she's dating Maddie Healty.

00:25:50.000 They broke up.

00:25:54.000 She's dating.

00:25:55.000 She is allegedly talking to casually seeing Maddie Healy, who is the lead singer of the band the 1975.

00:26:01.000 Surely you're familiar with the 1975.

00:26:03.000 I am.

00:26:04.000 But Maddie Healty is Healy. 1.00

00:26:07.000 What's the wrong of the thing?

00:26:07.000 Healy.

00:26:09.000 Thanks, Ryan.

00:26:10.000 Making me look like I don't know about pop culture.

00:26:12.000 Actually, thank you.

00:26:13.000 Thank you.

00:26:15.000 Healy is now there's a clip here.

00:26:17.000 Cut 23.

00:26:18.000 I want you, I want to play it and get your reaction, Alex.

00:26:21.000 Everything gets done.

00:26:27.000 Okay, so this is him kissing a woman on stage who's wearing not enough clothes.

00:26:33.000 And now there's a guy.

00:26:35.000 And now he just kissing the man.

00:26:38.000 Okay, he's very famous for every show.

00:26:41.000 He brings up someone in the audience when he kisses them.

00:26:44.000 You're talking about people that are, you know, exhibiting rock star behavior.

00:26:49.000 Maddie Healy is the king of that, right?

00:26:51.000 Rockstar behavior, I do not kiss him.

00:26:54.000 I do not associate with a man kissing a man.

00:26:57.000 Destroying equipment, kissing fans, just going to be a bad person.

00:27:00.000 Wait a minute.

00:27:00.000 Answer to get some delivery here.

00:27:02.000 Okay, okay.

00:27:03.000 Yeah, this rock star behavior is.

00:27:05.000 I'm thinking like 70s metal bands and 80s metal bands like breaking guitars and like rock star behavior.

00:27:11.000 Ozzy Osborne bit the head off of a bat.

00:27:14.000 I do not look to Ozzy Osborne as my North Star.

00:27:17.000 Okay, so Maddie.

00:27:19.000 Maddie Healy has rock star behavior. 1.00

00:27:21.000 He does all sorts of crazy things on stage.

00:27:24.000 Okay.

00:27:25.000 I mean, I could already hear our studio live debate over there because they're okay.

00:27:31.000 Okay, hold up.

00:27:32.000 I mean, we're going to get all this hate mail because they're going to think.

00:27:34.000 I'm just kidding, Oz.

00:27:35.000 It's fine.

00:27:36.000 Okay.

00:27:36.000 So you like this as a partnership for Taylor Swift.

00:27:40.000 You think this is a good move?

00:27:42.000 Okay, let me tell you something.

00:27:44.000 Every single woman who decides to end a relationship, usually in her 30s, it's been several years long, and the next person she dates is somebody that is not a long-term forever partner.

00:27:56.000 It is a distraction, something fun in the meantime in the interim.

00:28:01.000 And every friend group has that girlfriend in their 30s, and they have to be like, he's all right.

00:28:06.000 At least he likes her.

00:28:07.000 It's not forever.

00:28:08.000 And that's what's going on right now.

00:28:09.000 So this is a rebound.

00:28:10.000 This is a rebound review.

00:28:11.000 This is a rebound.

00:28:12.000 All right.

00:28:12.000 Again, not advocating for this.

00:28:15.000 It's a funny simp.

00:28:16.000 Okay.

00:28:16.000 All right.

00:28:17.000 Well, I don't know what to tell the parents out there.

00:28:20.000 These are your kids.

00:28:22.000 This is what they're listening to.

00:28:23.000 I mean, here's the bottom line.

00:28:24.000 This is what your kids are listening to.

00:28:26.000 It's good for you to be in the know if you find yourself a parent in the audience.

00:28:32.000 Where have all the mortgage companies gone?

00:28:34.000 With all the here today, gone tomorrow companies out there.

00:28:36.000 It's important to use seasoned mortgage experts with years of experience.

00:28:40.000 Use the company I personally use for my mortgage needs.

00:28:43.000 I've used them, and I could tell you, Andrew Del Rey and Todd of Akian at Sierra Pacific Mortgage make the process enjoyable.

00:28:49.000 Yes, they're friends of mine.

00:28:50.000 Yes, they're Christians.

00:28:51.000 Yes, they're conservatives.

00:29:41.000 In fact, they would love to hear that.

00:29:43.000 They're good friends.

00:29:44.000 We have dinner often.

00:29:45.000 I think the world of them, they've helped me personally.

00:29:47.000 So check it out.

00:29:47.000 No more woke banks.

00:29:48.000 They hate you.

00:30:02.000 It's good to start building equity.

00:30:04.000 Look, I'm not telling you what's going to happen, but it looks like the housing market might be surging up a little bit.

00:30:08.000 Go to AndrewandTodd.com.

00:30:10.000 That's AndrewandTodd.com.

00:30:11.000 Call 888 888 1172 AndrewandTodd.com.

00:30:17.000 All right.

00:30:18.000 So I, yeah, I don't know if we want to go into what we're talking about in the break or if we want to move on to Richard Dreyfus because this is what I mean.

00:30:25.000 You know, yeah, Taylor Swift one time dented my freezer.

00:30:28.000 I'll leave it at that.

00:30:29.000 All right.

00:30:30.000 It's a true content.

00:30:31.000 I used to live in Los Angeles.

00:30:32.000 Producer Andrew has like an entire secret Hollywood life that he lived before working on the Charlie Kirk show.

00:30:38.000 It's very juicy.

00:30:39.000 Yeah, it's very, it's very not that interesting because I lived it, but I will tell you, there was some interesting highlights.

00:30:46.000 I will tell you.

00:30:48.000 One of these days I will divulge for the audience how I, you know, another weird one.

00:30:52.000 I went to Rihanna's birthday party one time.

00:30:54.000 The same thing.

00:30:55.000 At the same mansion where they filmed the bodyguard.

00:30:57.000 It was weird.

00:30:58.000 It was very weird.

00:30:59.000 It was a very weird night.

00:31:01.000 I'm going to tease that just so you know, and then leave you all hanging because that's not front.

00:31:08.000 What if this right-wing conservative producer is front?

00:31:13.000 He actually is part of the business.

00:31:15.000 I lived it, man.

00:31:16.000 I will tell you, I lived it.

00:31:17.000 I looked the darkness in the eye and I said, no, thank you.

00:31:17.000 I saw it.

00:31:20.000 That's all you need to know.

00:31:21.000 Not today, Satan.

00:31:22.000 Not today, Satan.

00:31:23.000 All right.

00:31:23.000 I want to talk about this Richard Dreyfus story because it is very, very interesting.

00:31:27.000 Okay, so, Joe Bob, you filled me in on this.

00:31:29.000 According to you and your sources at CNN, there is news that essentially in order to get nominated for an Oscar next year, you have to hit all these diversity quotas.

00:31:41.000 Is this right?

00:31:42.000 According to the fact-checked news organization known as CNN, films have to meet at least two of four benchmarks, which cover, among other things, whether the lead actors are from underrepresented groups or if at least 30% of the cast and crew come from these underrepresented groups.

00:32:01.000 All right, so this is wild, and it's creepy because Hollywood is a precursor to the rest of the country.

00:32:07.000 But we have this clip from Richard Dreyfus.

00:32:09.000 I want to play because this was the tie-in for you.

00:32:11.000 Play Cut 55.

00:32:13.000 What do you think of these new inclusion standards for films?

00:32:17.000 They make me vomit.

00:32:18.000 Why?

00:32:20.000 Because this is an art form.

00:32:24.000 It's also a form of commerce and it makes money, but it's an art.

00:32:32.000 And no one should be telling me as an artist that I have to give in to the latest, most current idea of what morality is.

00:32:47.000 So Richard Dreyfus has come out basically as a conservative lately, just so we're aware.

00:32:52.000 I mean, there was even a chance he might come on this show.

00:32:55.000 But what's your reaction to this?

00:32:58.000 I want to hear from both of you.

00:32:59.000 The whole idea that Hollywood quote-unquote liberals are trying to effectively compel speech is like the opposite of liberalism, right?

00:33:08.000 And you're not white from what I'm told, necessarily, or at least.

00:33:13.000 Broadcast reports do suggest that I am a brown person.

00:33:17.000 So you still feel this way.

00:33:20.000 Well, I mean, you don't really want to get into that.

00:33:22.000 If you look at people.

00:33:23.000 We all have two minutes left.

00:33:24.000 Yeah, I mean, really, really briefly, if you look at people based on their skin color and not by their merit or the ability to do the job, that is probably more racist than actual racist, avowed racist. 0.99

00:33:36.000 It's ridiculous. 0.93

00:33:37.000 Common sense warning here, folks. 0.92

00:33:38.000 Well, yeah.

00:33:39.000 And if you look at somebody specifically by their quote-unquote diverse pigmentation in their skin and not the merit of which they do their job, like that, to me, it also undermines the job that people are doing. 0.77

00:33:53.000 If I, as a brown guy, was bad, but was a quote-unquote diversity hire, it would do me an injustice.

00:34:00.000 Yeah. 0.99

00:34:00.000 So I'm all about getting rid of all of this crap. 0.99

00:34:04.000 I think it's really freaky, to be honest. 0.96

00:34:06.000 Alex, we got a minute and a half left before the end of the show.

00:34:09.000 What's your thoughts?

00:34:10.000 I just saw a viral tweet a few days ago.

00:34:14.000 I think it was a black woman, and she was talking about how she had just found out that the new job that she had gotten, she was a diversity hire.

00:34:20.000 She said, you know, my hiring manager let it slip in casual conversation, like, oh, you know, we saw your name on the resume and we just, we knew you were black, and so that's why we hired you.

00:34:30.000 Wow.

00:34:31.000 And she was pissed.

00:34:32.000 And she was talking about how, like, that is so offensive, blah, blah, blah.

00:34:36.000 And it went viral.

00:34:37.000 And there were tons of people like, yeah, this is kind of, this is kind of messed up or whatever.

00:34:41.000 And I'm like, this is what this is.

00:34:43.000 Yeah.

00:34:44.000 To feel offended.

00:34:45.000 That is so insulting.

00:34:46.000 Bigotry of low expectations.

00:34:48.000 Yes.

00:34:50.000 They're starting to wake up to it, is what I'm saying.

00:34:51.000 Well, but this is where they're going with it.

00:34:53.000 And if it starts at Hollywood, I mean, here's the thing: nobody watches the Oscars anymore, anyways.

00:34:57.000 Yeah. 0.95

00:34:57.000 I mean, but it's this kind of crap that, I mean, I used to, I grew up loving watching the Oscars. 0.95

00:35:02.000 And now I can't stand it because it's so, it's so woke. 0.98

00:35:05.000 Guys, I wish we had more time, by the way.

00:35:07.000 I don't mean to get the last word in, but I'm the host.

00:35:09.000 So I guess this is how this, it's it.

00:35:11.000 We burned through that hour in more ways than one.

00:35:15.000 So to our audience, we apologize, but we hope you had fun.

00:35:18.000 I know we had a great time.

00:35:20.000 Our crew was enjoying it.

00:35:22.000 I can tell you that much.
