00:01:34.000 It's reprehensible what Vladimir Putin is doing.
00:01:36.000 There's no defense of it, period.
00:01:37.000 Innocence will die.
00:01:38.000 Innocence have already died.
00:01:40.000 Indiscriminate bombing of civilian centers, an invasion of a sovereign country, regardless of whether or not it's a democracy and Ukraine is not a democracy.
00:01:48.000 It's disgusting what Vladimir Putin is doing.
00:01:50.000 It's his war and he should own it.
00:01:52.000 And he will own it.
00:01:53.000 He is owning it.
00:01:54.000 He lied to the West.
00:01:55.000 He lied to the world.
00:01:56.000 He said, I'm not going to invade any.
00:01:57.000 That's exactly what he has done.
00:02:00.000 There's a lot of backstory, though, worth getting into.
00:02:03.000 And we're going to dive into this in a way I think that many shows will refuse to.
00:02:07.000 We're going to follow the entire history, the entire story.
00:02:09.000 We're going to have experts, legitimate experts, not the talking heads on television that say the same thing over and over again, and dive in to how the Biden-Obama regime, going back to Obama being president, created this.
00:02:23.000 How the West lied to Ukraine and actually weakened Ukraine through false promises, about how the destruction of American energy superiority and supremacy played into Russia becoming stronger and why Russia feels so empowered and emboldened to do this at this particular moment.
00:02:41.000 War is an awful thing.
00:02:42.000 It's terrible.
00:02:43.000 You're seeing the images of apartment buildings being bombed.
00:02:46.000 You're seeing the images of Russian tanks go through Ukraine and breaking in just the last couple of moments.
00:02:52.000 There's a firefight happening outside of Kiev right now, the capital of Ukraine, where it seems that the people of Ukraine and the Ukrainian military are doing everything that possibly can to hold the line against Russian aggression.
00:03:04.000 Now, it's unclear what Putin's aims and objectives are here.
00:03:08.000 He wanted to take Chernobyl.
00:03:10.000 We're going to have an expert that will tell us why that's strategically important.
00:03:14.000 There are troops coming from the south and from the east, but this was best explained.
00:03:18.000 Cut 80.
00:03:19.000 Jennifer Griffin walked through the latest of what's happening in Ukraine.
00:03:23.000 Play Cut 80.
00:03:24.000 There are indications, as Lucas is reporting, of an amphibious assault underway to the west of Mariupol.
00:03:31.000 Thousands of naval infantry, we're told, are moving ashore near Mariupol on the Sea of Azov.
00:03:37.000 According to this senior U.S. defense official, the Russians have lost a little bit of their momentum in these first two days.
00:03:45.000 No population centers have been taken so far.
00:03:47.000 Russia has yet to achieve air superiority, according to this official.
00:03:52.000 Ukraine's air and missile defense capability is still working, though degraded.
00:03:57.000 Ukrainian warplanes are still operational, we're told.
00:04:00.000 In general, in the first two days, according to this official, in general, we assess the Russian forces are encountering greater resistance than they expected.
00:04:10.000 They're not as strong as they pretended to be.
00:04:12.000 The Russians can't even control the air against a far poorer country and weaker country with nowhere near the military sophistication.
00:04:19.000 Cut 54: Ukraine's three largest cities are under attack right now, and that Russian Marines are on the ground.
00:04:26.000 Play Cut 54.
00:04:27.000 O'Shin, I can tell you that Ukraine's three largest cities are under attack tonight: Kyiv, the capital, Kharkiv, in northeastern Ukraine, and also Odessa.
00:04:37.000 In the last hour, I told you an amphibious landing by the Russians was being prepared.
00:04:41.000 I can now report that Russian Marines are on the ground in Odessa.
00:04:46.000 In Cut 56, intense fighting is taking place near Chernobyl.
00:04:49.000 Chernobyl actually has been taken by Russian troops, and they crossed into Ukraine from the puppet government in Belarus.
00:04:55.000 Play Cut 56.
00:04:57.000 Harris, good morning.
00:04:58.000 At this hour, Russian forces continue their air and ground campaign against Ukraine.
00:05:03.000 The Ukrainian Interior Minister says that Russian troops have now crossed the border from Belarus into northern Ukraine and are currently battling his troops in the Chernobyl zone.
00:05:14.000 This is a key zone because if they are able to move forward from there, they can continue marching on to the capital of Kyiv.
00:05:22.000 Kyiv really badly.
00:05:23.000 They want to get rid of President Zelensky.
00:05:25.000 It's not going to be as easy as they thought, though.
00:05:27.000 There's some fight left in the Ukrainians.
00:05:28.000 This is no Afghanistan.
00:05:30.000 This is no situation where people just flee to the hills and allow the Taliban to take over.
00:05:34.000 Vladimir Putin largely underestimated the fight and the result of the Ukrainian people and military, and also he overestated his own military might.
00:05:43.000 It's an international humiliation for Vladimir Putin as he's not able to take what he thought was going to be just a walk in the park.
00:05:50.000 Over 130 airstrikes were done throughout the country of Ukraine.
00:05:54.000 So there's a lot to get into as to what America's involvement and role should be and actually what's happening on the ground in Ukraine.
00:06:00.000 And the first thing, from a moral standpoint, what Vladimir Putin is doing is reprehensible.
00:06:05.000 A stronger country crushing a weak one after lying to the world saying that he's not going to incur on it.
00:06:11.000 It's just separatist regions.
00:06:13.000 Now, every single foreign policy expert on television, including people from the CIA who go on TV to talk, not as much as CIA, but the intelligence apparatus, they said this would just be a minor incursion.
00:06:23.000 This is a full-fledged invasion from every potential direction.
00:06:28.000 Joe Biden has responded in the way Joe Biden will, kind of muttering, saying that we're going to just put sanctions on, and that's the extent of what we're going to do.
00:06:37.000 Listen to this montage from Biden's response in Cut 74 as he continues his knock-on wood policy.
00:06:44.000 That's exactly what he did when we left Afghanistan.
00:06:46.000 And I will make the argument that our improper, imprudent withdrawal from Afghanistan led to this event and set the table for Putin's invasion of Ukraine.
00:06:59.000 Play Cut 74.
00:07:01.000 You didn't mention SWIFT in your sanctions that you announced.
00:07:04.000 Is there a reason why the U.S. isn't doing that?
00:07:08.000 It is always an option, but right now, that's not the position that the rest of Europe wishes to take.
00:07:14.000 Given the full-scale invasion, given that you're not pursuing disconnecting Russia from what's called SWIFT, the international banking system, or other sanctions at your disposal, respectfully, sir, what more are you waiting for?
00:07:27.000 The sanctions we opposed exceed anything that's ever been done.
00:07:31.000 Let's have a conversation in another month or so to see if they're working.
00:07:35.000 Sanctions clearly have not been enough to deter Vladimir Putin to this point.
00:07:39.000 What is going to stop him?
00:07:41.000 No one expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening.
00:07:47.000 So Biden's going through saying that, look, the sanctions aren't going to prevent this.
00:07:50.000 And we need to just take a step back and ask ourselves the question: why now?
00:07:56.000 Why is Putin invading another sovereign country at this moment?
00:07:59.000 And what did we do that actually set the conditions for this invasion?
00:08:04.000 Well, Putin knew that this opening would never come again.
00:08:06.000 He knew that we, including myself, are war-weary.
00:08:10.000 20 years in Afghanistan, we have multiple crises here.
00:08:12.000 We're being invaded on the southern border.
00:08:14.000 The last thing we wanted is to try to get in some sort of border dispute 5,000 miles away.
00:08:18.000 And I remain with that view.
00:08:20.000 Could you imagine if we had American troops on Ukrainian's border, on Ukraine's border, and Vladimir Putin went for it?
00:08:24.000 We would then be in a full kinetic war with Russia.
00:08:28.000 And I don't think this is going to be as easy as Vladimir Putin planned.
00:08:31.000 Ukraine's a massive country, both from a square mile perspective and also from a population standpoint.
00:08:39.000 In Ukraine, they're arming the citizenry, getting ready to fight in the woods and fight in the streets.
00:08:45.000 This is not going to be an easy toppling of the government and replacing it, as Vladimir Putin has been saying.
00:08:54.000 Joe Biden made a series of decisions this last year that laid the foundation for all of this.
00:09:04.000 And war is a travesty.
00:09:05.000 It's evil and it's unacceptable behavior from the Russian government.
00:09:10.000 He said, oh, no, no, we're just putting troops there because of Western aggression.
00:09:14.000 And then he goes for it.
00:09:16.000 And there's already a couple hundred people dead we know of and there's going to be a lot more than that.
00:09:21.000 Biden said he was engaging in diplomacy.
00:09:23.000 And you look back, he actually wasn't.
00:09:25.000 He was engaging in begging.
00:09:26.000 He's basically begging Putin not to do this with no leverage at all whatsoever.
00:09:31.000 And one of the reasons, and we're going to get into this, is Biden disassembled the American energy supremacy and superiority we had under Trump.
00:09:39.000 Our economy is far weaker than it was previously.
00:09:43.000 You put all that together, what negotiating chips do we actually have?
00:09:49.000 With all the noise surrounding the topics of money and the economy, today more than ever before, you need a financial guide that you can trust.
00:09:57.000 That's why I trust PAX Financial Group.
00:10:00.000 Not only do they share my conservative values, they are committed to putting your interests ahead of their own.
00:10:06.000 Big Wall Street firms are forcing their political agendas into your investments.
00:10:10.000 And it's time to stop giving your money to companies that don't share your values or use their profits, my profits, as a way to silence Christians.
00:10:19.000 PAX is proud to offer an alternative called BRIs, biblical responsible investing.
00:10:26.000 Look, I got to know the people behind PAX Financial at a pro-life dinner in San Antonio.
00:10:32.000 I got to know them, and they told me about biblical responsible investing.
00:10:35.000 And at first, I wasn't really sure what to make of it.
00:10:38.000 But as I got to know the team behind PAX Financial, we agreed to partner with them here on the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:10:43.000 Biblical responsible investing supports and promotes our values of being pro-family and pro-life and screens out companies that support pornography or anti-Christian or anti-conservative.
00:10:55.000 If you have $150,000 or more in investments, text them, Charlie, at number 74868.
00:11:03.000 Text them, just Charlie, right now to number 74868.
00:11:08.000 They'll be able to schedule a 15-minute free no-obligation consultation.
00:11:12.000 I'm moving some of my money over to PAX Financial.
00:11:14.000 And honestly, I hope they do well with it with some of the returns.
00:11:18.000 But I'm happy that part of my portfolio will be able to go towards biblical responsible investing.
00:11:25.000 I think they're going to crush it for me in the market, but I'll be able to know that my hard-earned dollars are not going towards pornography, anti-Christian, pro-BLM nonsense.
00:11:35.000 You'll be connected with a financial advisor who will walk this through with you.
00:11:38.000 Text Charlie at number 74868 today.
00:11:41.000 Invest in companies that don't hate you.
00:11:43.000 Invest in companies that I believe are actually consistent with biblical truths.
00:11:48.000 Go to biblical responsible investing.
00:11:50.000 If that interests you, text right now to 74868.
00:11:53.000 Just Charlie in the body there.
00:11:55.000 Check it out right now.
00:11:56.000 Brought to you by PAX Financial Group PAX.
00:12:02.000 One of the tragedies of this entire thing is the West lied to Ukraine for years.
00:12:06.000 We taunted Putin and kind of dangled NATO membership to Ukraine, which actually weakened Ukraine.
00:12:13.000 Ukrainian people had this far-distant hope that they were going to join NATO, and that was never a serious offer, nor should it have been, by the way.
00:12:19.000 NATO was big enough as it was and was largely an American project.
00:12:23.000 And because of that, Ukraine probably didn't make the investments in their military or their own domestic security apparatus that they otherwise would have because there was this distant hope that we were going to help them, that we were going to come and bail them out if they were ever invaded.
00:12:36.000 And now they're left completely and totally alone.
00:12:39.000 Instead of being very clear with Ukraine, that look, this is not our fight, you're going to have to ramp up your own security production and you're going to have to defend yourself against an invasion or whatever might happen in the future.
00:12:50.000 Instead, the constant infiltration of the American security apparatus and State Department in Ukraine via Hunter Biden, John Kerry, Joe Biden demanding prosecutors to be fired, all the different types of activity that we saw in Ukraine has led this moment of a very weakened Ukraine and also a stronger Russia.
00:13:10.000 Now, the environmentalists have completely captured the White House.
00:13:13.000 Biden is completely controlled by the environmentalists.
00:13:16.000 The stronger America's energy production has been and was, the weaker Russia was and the more timid they were.
00:13:23.000 But also, we had a president for four years, President Trump, that was able to prevent Vladimir Putin from doing any sort of incursions of Georgia, of Crimea, or Ukraine.
00:13:32.000 Why?
00:13:32.000 Why is it that the president that was accused of being a Russian agent is also the president that was able to stop Russia from doing any sort of adventures abroad?
00:13:44.000 Not only was President Trump an anti-war president of new wars for America, there were no new wars that broke out anywhere.
00:13:53.000 Now, there was the Syrian Civil War that was a travesty for humanity with the Russian-backed Bashar al-Assad, but the world was more peaceful when Trump was president.
00:14:02.000 Why is that?
00:14:03.000 Number one, Trump looked at things in concentric circles.
00:14:06.000 I wrote an entire book about this called the MAGA Doctrine.
00:14:08.000 And you can have whatever opinion you want of Trump's personality.
00:14:11.000 He was a phenomenal president when it came to this.
00:14:11.000 It's irrelevant.
00:14:13.000 Phenomenal off the charts, especially when it came to being able to keep the world in a peaceful place.
00:14:18.000 And he looked at concentric circles.
00:14:19.000 He said, okay, if I'm actually going to go through with any threats or diplomacy, we have to get our own country organized, our own country strong.
00:14:30.000 Unshackle the American energy entrepreneur, expanding liquid natural, liquefied natural gas LNG leases, build the Keystone XL pipeline, strengthen the American economy, cut taxes, deregulate the economy.
00:14:44.000 So America was humming.
00:14:45.000 That gives you a lot of leverage to then engage in diplomacy.
00:14:51.000 Strong and rich countries are able to effectively engage in diplomacy.
00:14:56.000 When Vladimir Putin talked to Emmanuel Macron, he looked at him.
00:14:59.000 He's like, this guy's a joke.
00:15:01.000 He doesn't have the military capacity.
00:15:04.000 He doesn't have the economic strength to actually make good on any sort of promise.
00:15:09.000 This is nothing more than not, it's not even a negotiation.
00:15:13.000 It's a joke.
00:15:14.000 And Putin treated it as such.
00:15:18.000 And so the first thing that Trump did, which was so effective, is make the American economy so strong, so powerful, that there are no chips that other countries can play against you.
00:15:30.000 The second thing is that in the art of negotiation, be unafraid to say what the other side fears.
00:15:37.000 Trump was over the top.
00:15:39.000 Some would say bombastic.
00:15:40.000 He would exaggerate, engage in hyperbole, but it worked.
00:15:44.000 The results spoke for themselves.
00:15:46.000 It was peaceful.
00:15:47.000 There were no new wars.
00:15:49.000 For example, when Trump met privately with Vladimir Putin, Trump said this.
00:15:54.000 said, listen, Vlad, if you move against Ukraine while I am president, I will hit Moscow with missiles.
00:16:03.000 Vladimir Putin reportedly responded, no way.
00:16:06.000 Then Trump said, oh yeah, all those beautiful golden turrets will be blown up.
00:16:13.000 During that same visit, Trump told Xi Ji Ping that any military move against Taiwan would be met with an attack on Beijing.
00:16:19.000 You just go straight to the throat.
00:16:21.000 Now, Trump was reported to be so erratic and so unpredictable, Putin didn't believe him.
00:16:26.000 And then he probably got home and he said to himself, is this guy crazy enough to actually bomb Moscow?
00:16:32.000 I don't know if I want that.
00:16:33.000 Boom.
00:16:34.000 Leverage.
00:16:34.000 Strength without firing a missile.
00:16:38.000 You think that Putin looks at Biden and says that's a guy that actually is going to be willing to fulfill his promises?
00:16:44.000 Of course not.
00:16:46.000 Xi, like Putin, is said to have been stunned, though it was not possible whether either man believed Trump was serious.
00:16:53.000 It's also possible that both accounts are exaggerated.
00:16:56.000 But it is a fact that neither man made the moves against Trump, and it's said that he's said to have warned against.
00:17:03.000 The MAGA doctrine was being willing to go straight to the throat and say, oh yeah, you're going to move against Ukraine.
00:17:09.000 I'm going to go bomb the Kremlin.
00:17:11.000 Now, some people would say that's irresponsible.
00:17:13.000 Well, it worked.
00:17:15.000 It worked where there were no invasions of Ukraine, no trying to capture of Taiwan.
00:17:20.000 The world was at stasis because America was strong.
00:17:23.000 We were strong domestically.
00:17:25.000 We were strong from an energy standpoint and economically.
00:17:30.000 Look, there's so much political pressure out there from the left and the woke mob, and it's from the Democrat Party.
00:17:35.000 Our society has ultimately been controlled by cancel cultural elites.
00:17:40.000 Look, we talk openly on this program about what you need to do.
00:17:45.000 And so I am involved.
00:17:46.000 I am invested personally and also through the Charlie Kirk show to try to do everything we possibly can to try and push back against these Democrats and their lies.
00:17:56.000 And so look, you can get a signed picture by President Trump himself.
00:17:59.000 Look, I vetted this.
00:18:00.000 It's terrific.
00:18:01.000 And not only will you be taking a stand against the radical left, you'll be entering the Winnick Piece of History itself.
00:18:07.000 All you have to do is text the word victory to 55404 today to enter.

00:18:27.000 This is paid for by the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

00:18:51.000 With us right now is Jack Pisobic, who's a good friend and runs Human Events Daily, brought to you and powered by Turning Point USA.
00:18:59.000 Jack has been on top of the Ukraine issue.
00:19:02.000 He's a former intelligence officer for our wonderful military.
00:19:04.000 Jack, welcome back.
00:19:06.000 Charlie, good to be on.
00:19:07.000 Jack, what's going on in Ukraine, and what should America's response be?
00:19:11.000 I think you actually kind of hit the nail on the head a minute ago when you talked about this idea of concentric circles of how the U.S. should, the U.S. is going to have to change its foreign policy moving into this new era.
00:19:24.000 So we are seeing an area where those concentric circles that we do not get to unilaterally conduct our policy throughout the world anymore.
00:19:34.000 What you're seeing is a global restructuring of the world or this neoliberal experiment, the United Nations, NATO, all of these organizations.
00:19:45.000 It has failed.
00:19:46.000 It's done.
00:19:47.000 That was backstopped only by a strong America and an America that could underwrite the whole thing.
00:19:52.000 We don't have that anymore.
00:19:54.000 What we now have is the right because of the rise of China, which we have financed and which we have fueled, they are now working with Russia to rebalance the entire world system, the entire world order.
00:20:07.000 In many ways, you could say it's kind of going back to the system that we had pre-World War II, in a sense where you have this idea, this concept of multi-polarity.
00:20:17.000 So, what you're seeing going on now in Ukraine, it's horrific and it's disgusting.
00:20:22.000 And Vladimir Putin chose to do this.
00:20:24.000 He chose to go down the path of war, by the way.
00:20:26.000 He had so many other methods that he could have chosen.
00:20:30.000 He could have chosen energy.
00:20:31.000 He could have chosen pipelines.
00:20:32.000 He could have chosen economics, anything.
00:20:34.000 He chose war.
00:20:35.000 We need to be very clear about that.
00:20:36.000 That's number one.
00:20:37.000 But number two, we also have to understand that the great global realignment is underway, right?
00:20:44.000 And so what do we need to do as Americans?
00:20:46.000 We need to ask ourselves, if nuclear war is on the table, then that means that New York City, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, they're all on the table now because nuclear war has been stoked as a potential option.
00:21:02.000 Guess what?
00:21:02.000 We are not the only ones with nukes.
00:21:04.000 We need to start acting like we don't control the world anymore.
00:21:08.000 So you're right.
00:21:09.000 Putin decided this and it's reprehensible.
00:21:13.000 Some people are saying he's losing his mind.
00:21:15.000 I don't know if that's true or not.
00:21:17.000 But Jack, what is he thinking or is he not thinking?
00:21:20.000 Is this just a, I'm never going to get this chance again?
00:21:23.000 I don't care if it craters my economy.
00:21:25.000 This is going to be my legacy.
00:21:27.000 And so be it if tens of thousands of people die.
00:21:29.000 Why is he doing this?
00:21:30.000 Charlie, I think that from his perspective, right, and really just to understand the history of Eastern Europe has always been worfing constantly.
00:21:40.000 My family's from Poland.
00:21:41.000 Now you see why we left Eastern Europe.
00:21:44.000 Now you see why we left Poland because Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, these have always been the killing fields of the great empires, whether that's Russia, whether that's the Soviet Union, whether that's the Germans, whoever it is.
00:21:58.000 The fighting and the killing always seems to take place inside these areas.
00:22:03.000 And the bloodshed and the killing that we've seen there and that we're seeing now again has just been the history.
00:22:10.000 The blood that has been soaked into that soil over the past even 100 years, even going back 500 years, right?
00:22:16.000 This is part of it.
00:22:17.000 So Putin is not rising above.
00:22:20.000 He's not rising above any of this stuff.
00:22:22.000 He's going back into the old way of thinking, into the old way of doing business to say, if I want to push these people out, I'm going to do so with might.
00:22:31.000 I'm not going to do so with diplomacy.
00:22:32.000 I'm not going to do so with negotiations.
00:22:34.000 I'm going to push back.
00:22:36.000 And from his perspective, they have always said they view NATO as a threat.
00:22:40.000 So they view NATO expansion as a threat to Russia and to the Russian motherland.
00:22:45.000 What does that mean?
00:22:46.000 That means where we were talking about putting military forces, putting NATO forces, missiles, armaments, tanks inside Ukraine, he viewed that as a direct threat to the Russian motherland.
00:22:59.000 And perhaps our leaders, instead of using Ukraine as their personal piggy bank, like the Clintons and the Bidens have been doing for years, maybe they should have actually listened to how dire the Russians were telling us they viewed their actions as a threat.
00:23:14.000 What should the United States response be here, Jack?
00:23:17.000 Because the American people don't want troops to be sent there.
00:23:20.000 I don't even think that's in the cards.
00:23:22.000 Military strikes will be met with an escalation.
00:23:25.000 We don't want that to happen.
00:23:27.000 Is there any U.S. response to this besides just a diplomatic and press release one?
00:23:32.000 Well, I think the U.S. response really should be to sue for peace and to broker that peace.
00:23:36.000 If we can stand up and be the ones to say that we brought the sides together, right?
00:23:40.000 Now, I don't know if the Biden administration, unfortunately, are the ones that be able to have any credibility to actually do this, right?
00:23:47.000 Do you really think that Tony Blinken is going to fly to Minsk and anyone's going to be able to listen to him?
00:23:51.000 The guy's a clerk.
00:23:52.000 They laugh at him throughout the world.
00:23:54.000 They're laughing at him when they saw the fall of Kabul.
00:23:56.000 Now it looks like in a couple of these days, we might see a siege of Kiev, of the city of Kiev.
00:24:02.000 They're laughing at Tony Blinken and they're laughing all the way to the bank about it.
00:24:06.000 So, what should the United States position?
00:24:07.000 Look, we should sue for peace and find the peace that we can get.
00:24:12.000 If Russia needs this that badly, look, we've got to find a way to stop the killing, to stop the shooting now.
00:24:18.000 So, that means number one, sue for peace, but also make it hard, make them pay, cut them off economically, cut them off at the knees.
00:24:26.000 If we're talking about sanctions, you got to go for SWIFT.
00:24:28.000 And by the way, we know that China is underwriting a lot of this.
00:24:31.000 China's still buying U.S. or Russian oil.
00:24:34.000 China is still buying the LNG from Russia.
00:24:35.000 They're building pipelines across Mongolia, in the Far East, Russia, into Siberian areas, the Siberian hinterlands.
00:24:41.000 Go to China, put pressure on Xi Jinping now.
00:24:45.000 Don't even do it down.
00:24:46.000 Do it yesterday.
00:24:46.000 Go to him, put the pressure on, put the set and threaten sanctions if you have to.
00:24:50.000 Ratchet up the tariffs, threaten to decouple completely with China.
00:24:55.000 If he wants to realign with China, okay, fine, but you're going to pay the price and China is going to have to pay the price for backstopping all of this.
00:25:02.000 To understand what's going on out there, and I know that this seems like a chaotic period.
00:25:07.000 And I know it seems like a chaotic and a crazy time.
00:25:10.000 It seems like the floor has just fallen out from under us.
00:25:14.000 We're seeing horrific, brutal images that are coming across our screens, coming across social media.
00:25:19.000 I do want to offer one word of caution: don't believe every single video you see on social media.
00:25:24.000 Don't believe everything that comes across that because understand that there's a lot of CGI, there's deep fakes, there's video game videos that are being shown.
00:25:32.000 There's even old videos being shown from training exercises or from 2014.
00:25:36.000 So understand that just because you see something that's coming across your Twitter feed or social media, Instagram, whatever it is, that doesn't necessarily mean that it's real or it's happening right now.
00:25:45.000 But that's not to diminish the fact that there are good people that are fighting for their lives right now.
00:25:51.000 You've got Ukrainians fighting for their homes.
00:25:54.000 You've got people that are trying to protect their land.
00:25:59.000 So understand you are seeing real heroism from the side of those Ukrainian defenders today.
00:26:04.000 And the siege of Kiev, which is coming, it is going to be brutal and it is going to be violent.
00:26:11.000 So understand when you're looking at all this just emotionally, what you have to do is you have to say, look, what can I focus on?
00:26:18.000 What can I focus on that I can control?
00:26:20.000 What can I focus on that I can do in my personal life, in my daily life, in my home life, in my community life, my family life?
00:26:28.000 What can I control?
00:26:30.000 And what can I do that matters going forward?
00:26:33.000 Prayer, of course, is a huge part of it.
00:26:35.000 Grieve.
00:26:36.000 And by the way, I'm already starting to hear reports now that humanitarian efforts are escalating.
00:26:41.000 People are putting together teams to figure out: are there ways that charity groups can get in, Christian groups to get in to help the people that are the victims of this violence, the victims of this brutality?
00:26:53.000 And as we gather more information on that, we're going to make that information available to you, available to everybody out there so they know how can they help if you can help with wallets, whatever form it ends up being to be able to get in there and to help the humanitarian side of all of this.
00:27:08.000 So that's the bigger part, number one.
00:27:10.000 What can we do as people, as Christians, as believers?
00:27:13.000 What can we do to help the people who are caught in the middle of this?
00:27:17.000 Look, my family comes from this area.
00:27:19.000 My wife was born and raised in this area.
00:27:21.000 She came to the United States.
00:27:23.000 She'll be the first to tell you.
00:27:25.000 This has been the history of Eastern Europe, the killing fields of World War II, of so many violent conflicts and bloody conflicts for the past 500 years, even the past thousand years.
00:27:36.000 If you want to go back further than that, the word Ukraine itself actually means borderland.
00:27:41.000 So it means at Grenica is border.
00:27:43.000 So it means Ukraine is at the border, is essentially what it means there.
00:27:48.000 And so understand also that the people of this area, the people, the Ukrainian people, the Belarusian people, and the Russian people, they don't want this.
00:27:58.000 Understand that you've got a regime in Russia and you've got a regime in Belarus.
00:28:03.000 The same way that we talk about, you know, regime of the CCP.
00:28:07.000 The people, the regular people, the common man, they don't want this.
00:28:11.000 They don't want to be doing this fighting.
00:28:13.000 That's why you're seeing protests, brave protesters up there in Moscow and everywhere else.
00:28:18.000 They're out there against it because they don't want to support this war.
00:28:23.000 I want to ask you about the actual kinetic conflict on the ground of Ukraine.
00:28:27.000 I want to ask how long this could last.
00:28:30.000 What does Russian success look like?
00:28:32.000 It seems like they're planning for mass casualty events country, both from a landmass standpoint and from nothing else.
00:28:41.000 If the Ukrainian citizens really choose to fight and they really choose to engage, this could result in tens of thousands, and God forbid, hundreds of thousands of people potentially dying.
00:28:51.000 And so I want to kind of go through what you're hearing on the ground there, Jack, because some reports are showing that Putin is just doing a surgical operation straight to Kyiv, get the president, displace him, assassinate him, whatever, and then get a new government in place very quickly.
00:29:08.000 And that's easier said than done, it so seems.
00:29:10.000 There is heavy fighting outside of Kyiv right now.
00:29:13.000 And it doesn't seem as if the Russians have been able to pull off, let's say, air dominance or air superiority or supremacy.
00:29:20.000 And Jack, I want to ask you about that as well, which is, is the Russian military not all that they said they were?

00:30:32.000 Jack, can you please walk us through the conflict on the ground in Ukraine and the kinetic nature of it and how long this might last?
00:30:41.000 All right, Charlie.
00:30:42.000 So you were asking some questions before about is Russia sending their best into this or is this a surgical strike?
00:30:50.000 And one thing that, you know, look, there's a lot of fog of war on all this right now.
00:30:54.000 And we're, you know, we're getting battlefield updates or what we'd call BDA or battle damage analysis from Twitter, essentially, right?
00:31:02.000 Twitter and Telegram.
00:31:03.000 So, you know, take all of this with a huge grain of salt, but there is an interesting throughput line where people are saying, is Russia really sending the vast bulk of their military units?
00:31:14.000 Are they sending those tank columns or are they kind of sending in some of their older equipment, some of the stuff they don't mind, you know, don't mind losing?
00:31:24.000 Or are they holding back?
00:31:25.000 Are they holding back to some extent?
00:31:27.000 And so it looks like that we're seeing, of course, as you said, we're seeing fighting in the south that is coming out of Crimea and that is coming up north.
00:31:34.000 So there's huge resistance from the Ukrainians in those southern regions across the peninsula, right, that connects Crimea to the mainland.
00:31:41.000 So that's where they're fighting in that isthmus.
00:31:43.000 They're punching out into southern Ukraine.
00:31:45.000 What are they trying to do there?
00:31:46.000 They're trying to build a land bridge.
00:31:48.000 And, you know, maps are very useful in this.
00:31:49.000 And we do map breaks in human events daily all the time because of it.
00:31:52.000 But the idea is they're trying to connect a land bridge between Crimea and those regions in the east, that Donbass region.
00:32:00.000 So there's fighting, pushing out of Donbass, but they're also trying to connect with Russian forces that are coming out of Crimea.
00:32:06.000 That's the southern fight.
00:32:07.000 In the north, you're seeing fights across the border in Kharkiv.
00:32:11.000 And then, of course, mainly you're seeing that this huge push on the city of Kiev itself.
00:32:16.000 That, of course, has equal part psychological operation as it is a direct strike at the regime of Ukraine.
00:32:24.000 And essentially, that is, and even Tony Blinken said this seems to be like a regime change operation.
00:32:30.000 They want to decapitate the government of Ukraine and they want to install their own pro-Russia government in.
00:32:36.000 So in doing that, they've already conducted, by the way, a battle of Chernobyl.
00:32:41.000 Yes, that Chernobyl.
00:32:42.000 That took place, including an aerial assault from Russian paratroopers.
00:32:45.000 They landed in that area.
00:32:47.000 They assaulted Chernobyl.
00:32:48.000 And it looks like they have taken it because that is on a direct path, a direct line to Kiev as they march south on both sides of Nepar River in a classic military-pinter argument.
00:32:58.000 And again, just so, you know, because of course we have to say this, when we're describing operations, that does not mean we are supporting operations or condoning any of this.
00:33:05.000 We're explaining what's going on on the ground as best we know it at this time.
00:33:09.000 We're also getting reports of airstrikes on other military emplacements around the country.
00:33:14.000 There's limited sea skirmishes that have gone on so far in and around the area of Odessa, Snake Island.
00:33:20.000 It looks like there was a huge martyrdom of those 13 defenders of Snake Island, which is just outside of Odessa, which could be used as an amphibious assault landing points for that for an assault further on Odessa.
00:33:32.000 That would be furthest west.
00:33:34.000 If the Russians were able to take Odessa, that would essentially give them control of the entire northern, the entire northern half of the Black Sea.
00:33:42.000 So not just Crimea, but push out all the way across.
00:33:46.000 So you're really seeing this on multi-front.
00:33:48.000 It's really a three-front war that they're fighting right now.
00:33:51.000 This could last for a long time.
00:33:52.000 This doesn't seem like it's easy or it's going to happen overnight.
00:33:55.000 Is that right?
00:33:55.000 Well, it doesn't seem like they're going for a full-on destruction of Ukraine.
00:33:59.000 It looks like they want concessions.
00:34:01.000 It looks like they want a deal.
00:34:02.000 It looks like they want to bring people to the table to fly up to Minsk, bring Zelensky in, send Lavrov, send a delegation to get those concessions from Ukraine.
00:34:10.000 And the big one is getting NATO off the table.
00:34:12.000 And I really do hope that we can sue for peace and that we can get a ceasefire in place as soon as possible.
00:34:18.000 All right.
00:34:18.000 Well, Jack, thank you so much for joining us.
00:34:19.000 Jack Posobiec from Human Events Daily, brought to you by Turning Point USA.
00:34:23.000 Thank you so much, Jack.
00:34:24.000 Appreciate it, Charlie.
00:34:25.000 It was pleasure.
00:34:26.000 Just to compare the Ukraine and Russia's military: Ukraine spent $4 billion on their military.
00:34:31.000 Russia spent $45 billion on their military.
00:34:34.000 And Russia has 900,000 active personnel, and Ukraine has 196,000 active personnel.
00:34:42.000 Russia is going straight for the heart in Kiev, and the people are fighting.
00:34:45.000 They're holding the line in Ukraine.
00:34:48.000 However, it's closing in very quickly, and we're going to keep our eyes on that as it continues to develop.
00:34:53.000 Thank you so much for listening, everybody.
