00:01:34.000 153 days.
00:01:37.000 It has been 153 days, at least from when one negotiation ends and one begins.
00:01:44.000 In September, there was a continuing resolution fight.
00:01:50.000 Now, let's go even further back.
00:01:52.000 Let's go back.
00:01:53.000 In December of 2022, right after the midterms, this has just been kind of brushed aside.
00:02:01.000 The outgoing old bulls of the Senate, Senator Shelby of Alabama and Nancy Pelosi in the House of Representatives, they struck a deal.
00:02:09.000 And we were outraged about this deal.
00:02:12.000 They said we want to rob the legislative calendar of budgeting and we're going to do a massive omnibus budget and kick it all the way to September of 2023.
00:02:27.000 Now we were outraged because he said, wait a second, we have this incoming House Republican Congress that they're not going to have a lot of time.
00:02:37.000 But we said, okay, September, we're going to be ready for it.
00:02:40.000 Now, in the midst of it, there was a debt ceiling fight.
00:02:43.000 The debt ceiling fight happened in the late spring.
00:02:46.000 And obviously, that didn't go well.
00:02:47.000 No cuts.
00:02:48.000 FBI got all their money.
00:02:50.000 The border was not secured.
00:02:52.000 We still borrowed $2 trillion.
00:02:54.000 The intel agencies got everything they wanted.
00:02:56.000 Ukraine still got money.
00:02:58.000 We said, hey, but the big fight is coming in September, everybody.
00:03:02.000 And in September, there was a clean, really a dirty, continuing resolution building upon Nancy Pelosi's budget, building upon Chuck Schumer's budget, building upon Joe Biden's budget.
00:03:15.000 The FBI still gets all their money.
00:03:17.000 The CIA still gets all their money.
00:03:19.000 The Department of Education still gets all their money.
00:03:21.000 The Department of Justice still gets all their money.
00:03:23.000 And that decision resulted in the removal of Kevin McCarthy.
00:03:28.000 You all remember it was a kind of a carnival of votes and up and down, and we landed with Speaker Johnson.
00:03:35.000 And so Speaker Johnson becomes Speaker, and we were very forceful at the time.
00:03:39.000 We said, Speaker Johnson, fight now, not later.
00:03:44.000 Fight now, not later, because you're going to get nothing but excuses in the new year.
00:03:49.000 And we were told by all the insiders, they tried to call me and the staffers, Charlie, you don't know what you're talking about.
00:03:54.000 You don't know what you're talking about.
00:03:56.000 We're going to get some really great deal.
00:03:58.000 Just wait for the new year.
00:04:00.000 Then you might remember in November, we warned, we said, hey, Thanksgiving and Christmas, don't punt this to the new year.
00:04:07.000 Once you get into the new year, you're not going to get anything substantive.
00:04:10.000 But I was told by Speaker Johnson and his team, and there were some very, let's just say, heated discussions and debates.
00:04:17.000 And I don't even call Speaker Johnson back anymore.
00:04:19.000 He was like, hey, can you call me?
00:04:20.000 Just show me the goods, man.
00:04:23.000 And honestly, I hate to be proven right.
00:04:25.000 I hate to be.
00:04:26.000 It's really sad, honestly.
00:04:28.000 It's sad.
00:04:29.000 Because we said, look, if you're not going to work through Thanksgiving and work through Christmas, we're supposed to believe that there's going to be this incredible movement of courage in January.
00:04:40.000 But no, we were told by even some conservatives that come on the show, oh, just wait till January.
00:04:45.000 Oh, just wait till January.
00:04:47.000 Oh, just wait till January.
00:04:48.000 January is what it's going to happen.
00:04:50.000 I said, guys, I got to be honest.
00:04:52.000 I don't believe you.
00:04:53.000 I don't believe you.
00:04:55.000 You aren't going to do anything in January.
00:04:57.000 You're supposed to, I'm supposed to believe you.
00:04:58.000 You're just going to arrive after a four-week Christmas break and find all the courage to cut spending and secure the border and do the necessary things to shut down the government.
00:05:06.000 I don't believe you.
00:05:08.000 I don't.
00:05:09.000 But we were told by all the experts and all the insiders and all the consultants in Speaker Johnson's office: hey, January is where we draw the line.
00:05:18.000 And we said, Hey, why don't you work through Christmas?
00:05:20.000 Why don't you use all of the holiday distraction to your advantage, even if you think you're going to go down in the approval poll ratings?
00:05:29.000 First of all, who cares?
00:05:30.000 But if that really matters to you, just get it over in Christmas, hold a line.
00:05:36.000 But you guys had time to reduce your House majority to get rid of George Santos.
00:05:41.000 Last evening, look, there is no way to spin it.
00:05:44.000 There is, I guess, a little bit of a hopeful element.
00:05:46.000 There's 103 really good, strong members of Congress that did the right thing.
00:05:52.000 But yesterday, led by Speaker Johnson himself, he voted for this.
00:05:57.000 Led by Speaker Johnson himself, House Republicans teamed up with Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden, and they punted to March.
00:06:05.000 So that means from December of 2022, when we did not control the House, punted all the way to September of 2023, then punted to November of 2023, then punted to January of 2024, and now we have punted to March of 2024.
00:06:24.000 It has been an uninterrupted punting game from 90 days, nine months, 60 days, 90 days, not cutting spending, not securing the border, still borrowing $2 trillion and amounting to the ever-growing debts and deficits.
00:06:43.000 And now we're supposed to believe that you guys are going to find your backbone and courage in March of an election year.
00:06:50.000 That in March of an election year, you guys are all of a sudden going to be willing to lock down and shut down the government.
00:06:57.000 Speaker Johnson, you are an enormous embarrassment, an enormous disappointment.
00:07:02.000 I even said yesterday, I was willing to cut you some slack.
00:07:06.000 I said, I'm willing to just let bygones be bygones.
00:07:09.000 You should shut down the government.
00:07:10.000 What is the argument as to why you did not shut down the government today?
00:07:14.000 What is the argument?
00:07:16.000 We are being materially invaded by the cartels.
00:07:20.000 We are being invaded on a daily basis.
00:07:23.000 And what is the reason?
00:07:25.000 You did not draw a line in the sand.
00:07:28.000 We will have another 400,000 illegal foreigners during the duration of this contuning resolution.
00:07:34.000 Why is this acceptable?
00:07:36.000 And I want to be perfectly honest with you.
00:07:38.000 I don't like these segments.
00:07:40.000 I don't like just complaining and attacking.
00:07:43.000 But it's necessary.
00:07:44.000 It's necessary.
00:07:44.000 I got to be honest.
00:07:46.000 I wish I had all this great news to share with you.
00:07:49.000 But I cover this stuff for a living very carefully.
00:07:51.000 And I remember in December of 2022, when they robbed the House majority all the way to September of 2023, and then they punt to November.
00:07:59.000 Then they punt to January.
00:08:00.000 Do you see what's going on here?
00:08:01.000 They think they could just keep punting by 60 to 90 days, and you're going to lose interest, and you're going to lose concern.
00:08:07.000 And meanwhile, all the things that they complain about, and this is why I, and to Jim Jordan's credit, he voted correctly on this.
00:08:13.000 By the way, can we get the roll call of the people that voted for it and who didn't?
00:08:16.000 Grace Chong does a great job of this, by the way.
00:08:18.000 She does a really great job on, I get all these screenshots sent from her.
00:08:22.000 She's really great.
00:08:23.000 She works with Steve Bannon, and I follow all of it, the roll call.
00:08:25.000 She does a great job.
00:08:26.000 So we can get those two.
00:08:27.000 There's one of the people that voted for the CR and people that didn't vote for the CR.
00:08:31.000 Thank you.
00:08:31.000 Yeah, I think this is the ones who voted no.
00:08:34.000 The 108 Republicans that voted against it, which is great.
00:08:37.000 And then there's a lot that voted for it.
00:08:40.000 And Speaker Johnson is leading the charge.
00:08:41.000 Speaker Johnson says, oh, 400,000 illegals, no big deal.
00:08:44.000 Speaker Johnson continues on Nancy Pelosi's budget.
00:08:48.000 Speaker Johnson continues on the Chuck Schumer budget.
00:08:51.000 Just keep on capitulating.
00:08:52.000 He had so many opportunities.
00:08:54.000 Imagine in a different universe.
00:08:56.000 He could have said, hey, we're going to work through Thanksgiving.
00:08:59.000 If you're going to take me out as speaker, I'm going to be known as the most tough-nosed speaker in American history.
00:09:05.000 I'm going to go down swinging.
00:09:06.000 I'm going to go down fighting for the American people.
00:09:08.000 Could you imagine an alternative universe?
00:09:10.000 Speaker Johnson had a spine.
00:09:12.000 If Speaker Johnson had gusto, if Speaker Johnson really was a strong man, Speaker Johnson, he is one of the weakest politicians I've ever seen ascend.
00:09:21.000 Honestly, Speaker McCarthy would have done a better job.
00:09:23.000 I know that's controversial.
00:09:24.000 Speaker McCarthy was getting more concessions.
00:09:27.000 He wasn't getting great concessions at times, but Speaker McCarthy was doing a much better job than Speaker Johnson.
00:09:32.000 That is the thought crime of the day.
00:09:34.000 He was doing a better job than this.
00:09:34.000 He was.
00:09:36.000 We have got nothing.
00:09:37.000 You know, we've had nothing, absolutely nothing since Speaker Johnson became Speaker.
00:09:41.000 In fact, we got the opposite.
00:09:42.000 We're spending more money.
00:09:43.000 And then 107 Republicans voted on this CR.
00:09:50.000 Interestingly enough, the person who didn't vote for it is Elise Stefanik.
00:09:54.000 She knows what she's doing.
00:09:55.000 She's in the vice presidential race.
00:09:57.000 She's a smart cookie.
00:09:59.000 I'll tell you what.
00:10:00.000 She knows she gets this Axios piece, Donald Trump heavily considering Stefanik.
00:10:05.000 She knows exactly what she's doing.
00:10:07.000 If she would have voted for the CR, she would have been took out of the running immediately.
00:10:11.000 I'm not even saying I'm supportive of Stefanik for VP, but it's an interesting indicator because she's in House leadership and she was one of the few people not to follow along House leadership.
00:10:19.000 Very, very interesting.
00:10:20.000 Very telling.
00:10:21.000 Because Stefanik knows what's popular with the people.
00:10:23.000 And therefore, leadership knows what's popular with the people.
00:10:26.000 But they don't care.
00:10:27.000 They don't represent you.
00:10:29.000 They just, the country's burning and they do what they want.
00:10:33.000 They don't care about you.
00:10:34.000 They never have.
00:10:40.000 Hi, I'm Adriana, a politics major at Hillsdale College.
00:10:43.000 Here's Hillsdale President Dr. Larry Arn with a Constitution Minute.
00:10:47.000 America's founders recognized an obvious fact of life.
00:10:49.000 Human beings differ in terms of physical attributes and talents.
00:10:53.000 Because of this, some people will be better at some things than they are at others.
00:10:56.000 But they also recognize that the tall and the short among us, the swift and the slow among us, are still human beings if we are recognizable as human beings.
00:11:04.000 And therefore, we are equal in terms of the rights that pertain to human beings.
00:11:09.000 Rights attached to human nature, rights that come from God.
00:11:12.000 The Declaration of Independence names three of the big ones.
00:11:15.000 Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
00:11:18.000 Exercising these rights is necessary if we are to be truly free.
00:11:21.000 In our own time, many influential people believe that only government can decide what our rights should be.
00:11:27.000 This is dangerous.
00:11:28.000 Understanding our rights and how the Constitution protects them is vital to our freedom.
00:11:32.000 To learn more and get a free pocket constitution, visit constitutionminute.com.
00:11:39.000 So let me tell you one of the reasons why I'm more frustrated regarding Speaker Johnson than Speaker McCarthy.
00:11:47.000 Two men that I've had an opportunity to get to know.
00:11:50.000 And there's no, it's not helpful to dive overly interesting in the details.
00:11:55.000 And this is not a robust defense of Speaker McCarthy, but this is my own personal take.
00:12:01.000 I take my faith in my Christianity very seriously.
00:12:05.000 When somebody leads with their Christianity, when somebody leads with their biblical beliefs, I immediately hold them to a higher standard.
00:12:15.000 I say, wow, okay.
00:12:17.000 You're going to invoke the holy.
00:12:21.000 You're going to wear the badge of what it means to be a Christian.
00:12:26.000 I'm going to look at you a little bit differently.
00:12:28.000 And by the way, the scriptures support this.
00:12:30.000 The scriptures support the idea that if you say that you are a Christian and say that you are a believer, that you should be looked at differently.
00:12:40.000 By the fruit, you will know them.
00:12:41.000 And so Speaker Johnson, at almost every turn, reminds us that he is a Christian.
00:12:47.000 At almost every turn, Speaker Johnson tells us and reminds us that he has a biblical worldview.
00:12:54.000 And I'm not doubting that he might believe it, but if I don't see any evidence of that, I get rather annoyed.
00:13:02.000 In fact, I get ticked off for good reason because it gives Christians a bad name, number one.
00:13:09.000 Number two is that if you actually believed these things, Speaker Johnson, you would not be acting like this.
00:13:17.000 And I don't need to look any further than the border issue.
00:13:21.000 Now, Speaker McCarthy, when he was speaker, he would not go around saying, I have a biblical worldview.
00:13:27.000 Okay, got it, man.
00:13:29.000 Speaker McCarthy was a transactional politician.
00:13:32.000 We knew what we were getting there.
00:13:34.000 And yet Speaker Johnson acts exactly the same as Speaker McCarthy, if not even worse, while wearing the cloth, essentially.
00:13:44.000 The most outspokenly Christian politician in America right now is Speaker Johnson.
00:13:52.000 Has he made Christians look good?
00:13:55.000 And I'm not saying he's not a Christian.
00:13:56.000 I'm not doubting his faith.
00:13:58.000 I am doubting the fruit.
00:13:59.000 I'm seeing no fruit.
00:14:01.000 But I'm saying, does that make Christianity look good?
00:14:04.000 Now, when people think of Christian politicians, they think of spineless, gutless, lying, deceitful, no courage, no gusto, no spirit, okay with women being raped on the southern border, okay with fentanyl coming into our country, okay with the FBI infiltrating Latin Mass.
00:14:22.000 What have you done, man?
00:14:23.000 Where is the do not fear, be strong and courageous, as it says in Joshua 1.9?
00:14:29.000 And that is why I hold Speaker Johnson to a higher standard.
00:14:36.000 When you invoke the holy, when you tell me that your worldview is similar to mine, a biblical worldview, then I say, okay, then we're going to be, we're going to be looking at you differently.
00:14:48.000 If Speaker Johnson would have come out and said, look, I'm kind of just a live and let live type guy.
00:14:55.000 For example, if it was Javier Millay, who's honestly terrific in what he's saying and doing, and you want the thought crime of the day?
00:15:05.000 Javier Malay, who is a converted to Judaism, who is into kind of like threesome orgies or some sort of weird stuff.
00:15:12.000 Javier Malay acts with more courage and more fruit of a biblical worldview than even Speaker Johnson.
00:15:19.000 That's your thought crime of the day.
00:15:21.000 And here we have this list of people.
00:15:23.000 And Speaker Johnson led the charge.
00:15:25.000 It would have been one thing if Speaker Johnson would have voted against the CR.
00:15:29.000 Then I would not have as strong of an argument.
00:15:31.000 It would have been a show vote.
00:15:32.000 It just would have protected him.
00:15:33.000 But Speaker Johnson voted yes on yet another punting extension as the country is withering away.
00:15:40.000 Our blood oxygen levels are going down.
00:15:42.000 We are dying on the vine.
00:15:45.000 And Speaker Johnson goes along and he votes to say, yes, we want to punt to March.
00:15:50.000 We want to punt to March.
00:15:52.000 And to be perfectly transparent with you guys, and I'm not trying to blackpill you.
00:15:56.000 I'm not trying to make you feel sad or I'm just being honest.
00:16:01.000 They're not going to do anything in March useful.
00:16:04.000 The closer we get to the election, they're going to say, now we're really in cycle.
00:16:10.000 You want to talk about being in cycle?
00:16:12.000 In March, you're going to say, guys, I'm already getting a primary and attack ads ran against me.
00:16:17.000 That's why we were so forceful, so animated about the fall of 2023 fight.
00:16:23.000 I've been around for 11 years, not a long period of time, but enough to know that if you don't fight in the fall before the cycle begins, you're not going to get anything done.
00:16:33.000 And yet, Speaker Johnson, while intermixing scriptural references, lies to us, lies, by the way.
00:16:41.000 Oh, we're going to do a laddered CR and the big fight is coming in January and I'm not going to put up with the border not being secure.
00:16:46.000 The border's not secure.
00:16:48.000 Speaker Johnson, you could have shut down the government today.
00:16:50.000 You could have done that.
00:16:51.000 Or at least if you would have had a defection from your conference, you could have done a press conference and said, if you vote to keep this government open, you're not getting any money from my PAC.
00:16:59.000 You're not getting any money from leadership.
00:17:01.000 It is leadership's position that the government will be shut down and we're going to blame Chuck Schumer instead.
00:17:06.000 Speaker Johnson bends the knee to Chuck Yu Schumer.
00:17:11.000 Traditional media is crumbling.
00:17:13.000 Why?

00:18:13.000 This is not complicated, by the way.
00:18:15.000 What an opportunity.
00:18:15.000 Speaker Johnson could have put the conference together, could have laid it down and said, listen, we have two demands and they are not unreasonable.
00:18:23.000 We need cuts and we need a border.
00:18:25.000 That's it.
00:18:27.000 We need cuts and we need a border.
00:18:29.000 $2 trillion annualized deficits is unacceptable.
00:18:34.000 Figure it out.
00:18:35.000 Get in the room.
00:18:36.000 Cut the spending.
00:18:36.000 Find the waste.
00:18:38.000 People are complaining.
00:18:39.000 Why are things so expensive?
00:18:40.000 Why are groceries going up?
00:18:42.000 Government fiscal stimulus, aka $6 trillion of federal annualized spending, and we only have $4 trillion in revenue is breaking our monetary advantage.
00:18:55.000 It is breaking the financial system.
00:18:58.000 It's breaking it.
00:18:59.000 Why are houses prices still going up even though the economy is not so good?
00:19:03.000 And Speaker Johnson is a gutless wonder.
00:19:07.000 He's a gutless wonder.
00:19:09.000 And I just want to be very clear.
00:19:12.000 Yesterday, I said, let's just have a new opportunity.
00:19:19.000 Let's just let bygones be bygones.
00:19:21.000 Let's just wipe this clean.
00:19:23.000 And instead, Speaker Johnson, he comes out.
00:19:28.000 What is the calculus here?
00:19:30.000 Now, I could have been proven wrong here.
00:19:33.000 I could have had egg in my face.
00:19:35.000 Remember, I said it was a mistake to punt in November, a mistake to punt in October, a mistake to punt in Christmas.
00:19:42.000 And Speaker Johnson could have actually proven me wrong because the border crisis is far more of a crisis today than it was even back in the fall.
00:19:51.000 Imagine the popular hero that Speaker Johnson could be if he'd come out of nowhere and delivered this decisive force.
00:19:58.000 Again, the people in D.C. are corrupt and they're stupid.
00:20:02.000 They're both.
00:20:03.000 Imagine this for a second.
00:20:04.000 Speaker Johnson could have shut down the government and then he could have gone right to New York City, go to New York City, to AOC's district where all these blacks are angry and saying, I'm shutting down the government for you.
00:20:15.000 And then he goes to Chicago.
00:20:16.000 I'm shutting down the government for you.
00:20:17.000 Then he goes down to the border himself and Speaker Johnson could say, you know what?
00:20:21.000 If Joe Biden wants to reopen the government, he can come visit me in Eagle Pass, Texas.
00:20:25.000 Speaker Johnson could have set up a working office.
00:20:27.000 You're the Speaker of the House, man.
00:20:29.000 You're not some sort of page.
00:20:32.000 You're not some sort of Senate intern.
00:20:34.000 You're acting like you're a Senate intern.
00:20:37.000 Speaker Johnson could have shut down the border, opened up his entire office on Eagle Pass, Texas, and said, hey, you want to reopen the government, Chuck Hugh Schumer?
00:20:46.000 Ha ha, I'm in charge.
00:20:47.000 You're not now.
00:20:48.000 The people have taken back the government and we have our operating in Eagle Pass, Texas.
00:20:55.000 And how would the media have spun that?
00:20:57.000 Speaker Johnson holding the government hostage from Eagle Pass, Texas.
00:21:02.000 They have to cover it.
00:21:03.000 And Speaker Johnson could have this unbelievable, this unbelievable visual of these fighting age males.
00:21:10.000 And they would just be coming in and Speaker Johnson could be doing all these interviews on the Dylan Mulvaney show and on the race lady on MSNBC.
00:21:17.000 He could be doing these interviews while these males are just coming by him and say, you know why the government is shut down here and I'm going to sleep in a tent.
00:21:24.000 Could you imagine the visual?
00:21:26.000 Speaker Johnson sleeping in a tent in Eagle Pass, Texas.
00:21:30.000 By the way, he could, leaders lead.
00:21:32.000 And Speaker Johnson's not a leader.
00:21:33.000 He's not a leader.
00:21:35.000 I wouldn't even, by the way, you know what I said previously?
00:21:37.000 I said, Speaker Johnson, I have him lead a Bible study.
00:21:39.000 That would not go well.
00:21:41.000 That would be a disaster.
00:21:42.000 He should lead nothing.
00:21:43.000 Speaker Johnson is a gutless wonder.
00:21:45.000 No creativity, no spirit, no gusto, no spine.
00:21:49.000 He's a fake.
00:21:50.000 He's a fraud and he's a fake.
00:21:52.000 Again, this wouldn't have been hard.
00:21:53.000 Shut down the government and bring your whole House Republican conference to Eagle Pass, Texas.
00:21:57.000 You know what they'd say?
00:21:58.000 Oh, that's a gimmick.
00:21:59.000 No, actually, I think that would have won over a lot of people.
00:22:04.000 A gimmick?
00:22:05.000 You're being invaded with hundreds of, we have never been invaded like this in the history of our country, ever.
00:22:09.000 A gimmick?
00:22:10.000 And by the way, Speaker Johnson, you know, he did this open board.
00:22:13.000 He did this press conference and he did this whole thing.
00:22:16.000 It's a joke.
00:22:16.000 That was a gimmick.
00:22:18.000 You go and bring the House Republican conference and say, you want to reopen the government, Chuck Hugh Schumer, you have to get on a connecting flight through Dallas, Texas, and get in a car for two hours and meet me in Eagle Pass, Texas.
00:22:30.000 Woo-hoo!
00:22:31.000 Hardball.
00:22:32.000 The Democrats would do that to us if there was an issue.
00:22:36.000 How do I know that?
00:22:37.000 They went down to the kids in cages.
00:22:40.000 Remember when all these people are like flying on planes all over the place?
00:22:44.000 They go to D.C. because they were vacating over this abortion stuff.
00:22:48.000 Republicans are lazy.
00:22:50.000 They are dumb.
00:22:52.000 They are weak.
00:22:54.000 And Speaker Johnson, he does this all in the name of God, which is what frustrates me the most.
00:22:59.000 He does this in the name of God.
00:23:02.000 They need real leadership.
00:23:03.000 By the way, we have nothing but ideas.
00:23:05.000 They don't talk to us.
00:23:06.000 They don't want ideas.
00:23:06.000 You know how many ideas I give these people?
00:23:08.000 And this is just one off the top of my head.
00:23:10.000 A single real leader can make cowards brave.
00:23:12.000 Let me repeat that.
00:23:13.000 A single, really great leader can make cowards brave.
00:23:18.000 That is why we have statues to Winston Churchill.
00:23:21.000 We have cowardice across the United Kingdom.
00:23:25.000 And one man steps up and all of a sudden creates a civilization of courage.
00:23:30.000 Lead, follow, or get out of the way.
00:23:36.000 And by the way, the Bible is filled with people of courage.
00:23:38.000 Maybe Speaker Johnson should read the Bible.
00:23:40.000 The thing that he always quotes, or is Speaker Johnson used that as a veneer, as a camouflage, as a protection racket so that people don't criticize him?
00:23:49.000 We're on to your whole shtick, Speaker Johnson.
00:23:51.000 Get out of the way.
00:23:53.000 And by the way, some people say, Oh, Charlie, you're being too mean.
00:23:56.000 We're being invaded.
00:23:58.000 We're borrowing $2 trillion a year.
00:24:01.000 We're not doing nice guy talk anymore.
00:24:03.000 You want nice guy talk?
00:24:04.000 Go to Chick-fil-A, which I'm not a fan of, but fine.
00:24:08.000 Go be one of those guys.
00:24:09.000 Hello, my name's Mike Johnson.
00:24:12.000 What can I get you today?
00:24:14.000 They're always very cheerful.
00:24:15.000 They're always very nice.
00:24:16.000 He's caught up for that job.
00:24:17.000 Go do that.
00:24:19.000 Get people what they want.
00:24:20.000 You're used to giving people what they want.
00:24:22.000 Go give them a chicken sandwich and waffle fries.
00:24:25.000 Great.
00:24:26.000 Get out of the way.
00:24:28.000 This was your great opportunity, man, and you blew it.
00:24:31.000 At least pretend like you care.
00:24:34.000 And by the way, Speaker Johnson gives you this middle finger, this throbbing middle finger, because he even voted for the CR.
00:24:40.000 He voted for the CR.
00:24:42.000 No cuts.
00:24:42.000 So the CR, 400,000 people are just going to come across the border, 400,000 people.
00:24:47.000 Again, this is not that hard.
00:24:48.000 Again, I'm just coming up with these things off the top of my head.
00:24:50.000 He could have shut down the government, go down to Eagle Pass, Texas, pitched a tent, and do interviews.
00:24:55.000 Interviews.
00:24:57.000 Waste of time.
00:24:58.000 But not shocked, because I saw it.
00:25:01.000 I saw it from the first couple of days.
00:25:02.000 Jack Pesobic was ahead of me.
00:25:04.000 I gave Speaker Johnson one week, and boy, I saw a gutless wonder emerge.
00:25:08.000 Now, this is what's amazing to me.
00:25:10.000 Speaker Johnson, 18% of Americans approve of Joe Biden's handling of the border.
00:25:14.000 You've been given a political gift.
00:25:15.000 You've been an opportunity to solve a problem, but given an opportunity to be a leader.
00:25:18.000 Play Cut 62.
00:25:20.000 Biden is struggling to break through immigration, a critical issue for voters.
00:25:25.000 Our polling shows just 18% of Americans approve of Biden's handling of the issue.
00:25:30.000 18%.
00:25:32.000 So, Speaker Johnson, you have an 18% approval rating.
00:25:35.000 Joe Biden has an 18% approval rating on an issue.
00:25:38.000 And you gave him another 60 days.
00:25:42.000 That's what you did.
00:25:43.000 What is the explanation here, pal?
00:25:45.000 By the way, you're welcome on the show anytime.
00:25:47.000 You're welcome here to explain yourself, but our audience is not going to put up with this.
00:25:51.000 Speaker Johnson will be known as one of the fakest, weakest leaders.
00:25:56.000 And I will say this: he's worse than Boehner in some ways.
00:25:59.000 He's worse than Paul Ryan in some ways.
00:26:01.000 He's worse than McCarthy in some ways.
00:26:03.000 Those people did not pretend to be one of us.
00:26:06.000 Paul Ryan did for a little bit.
00:26:08.000 But it's okay.
00:26:09.000 They were transactional politicians.
00:26:10.000 They did this stuff.
00:26:12.000 All right.
00:26:13.000 I want to get to some good news here because this Speaker Johnson is a perfect example of who you should not raise your children to be.
00:26:20.000 You should just look at Speaker Johnson.
00:26:22.000 You should tell your kids, whatever you do in life, don't be like this.
00:26:24.000 Just don't be like this liar.
00:26:26.000 This guy is, he is not authentic.
00:26:32.000 He has no integrity.
00:26:33.000 He has no honesty.
00:26:35.000 What a blown opportunity.
00:26:37.000 Could you imagine the grassroots if they even got a week of Speaker Johnson shutting down the government, going to the border, doing interviews, holding the line?
00:26:52.000 I think approval ratings for Republicans would have gone up.
00:26:55.000 Why do you think Trump is winning?
00:26:57.000 Why do you think he's beating every poll?
00:26:58.000 Why do you think, by the way, this is suspicious and it smells to high heaven?
00:27:01.000 But that's a separate issue.
00:27:03.000 Of all these people saying Trump is going to win, because there is a primal scream in the heartland outside of D.C. There's a primal scream saying, please fight for me.
00:27:16.000 Please fight for me.
00:27:21.000 And Speaker Johnson says, no.
00:27:25.000 Would you like to hear a Bible verse?
00:27:28.000 No.
00:27:29.000 Thank the good Lord that we have Donald Trump.
00:27:32.000 Thank the good Lord.
00:27:34.000 He wouldn't put up with this.
00:27:36.000 In a second, the border was secure under Donald Trump.
00:27:39.000 Numbers were so far down.
00:27:40.000 He got Mexico.
00:27:41.000 By the way, all the successes that we need to focus on with Trump, he did have a largely secure border.
00:27:47.000 I wish he would have done more deportations, but the border was, the border was like placid compared to what it is now.
00:27:54.000 And people say, oh, well, Speaker Johnson's at least at the March for Life.
00:27:58.000 Oh, really?
00:27:59.000 So what have you done to the FBI that spies on pro-lifers?
00:28:02.000 Stop live action role-playing as a speaker of the house.
00:28:07.000 Start acting like one.
00:28:11.000 Joining us now is a terrific person, Jane Zirkle.
00:28:15.000 And is that right?
00:28:17.000 Am I aka calamity, Jane?
00:28:20.000 Yes, Charlie.
00:28:22.000 Live from the March for Life.
00:28:24.000 By the way, so Jane, I want you to just tell our audience, one of the best parts of March for Life is the amount of young people, the amount of energy, the enthusiasm.
00:28:34.000 You're doing a great job in the snow there.
00:28:37.000 I'm in Arizona, no such snow.
00:28:38.000 Walk us through what it's like on the ground at the beautiful March for Life.
00:28:42.000 Yeah, so I'm doing my best Jim Cantori impression right now, but I'm among 50,000 pro-life activists who've come to DC despite the weather, which of course is more than Congress can do.
00:28:53.000 But this year's theme of the 51st annual March for Life is with every woman for every child.
00:28:59.000 And what they aim to honoring here is the work that pro-life activists have done across this country in the post-Roe era.
00:29:06.000 The pregnancy resource centers, the counseling centers.
00:29:09.000 There are over 3,000 pregnancy resource centers across the United States.
00:29:14.000 In the months since Roe v. Wade was overturned, taxpayer dollars, they have used $250 million taxpayer dollars to fund these centers to better support and foster a culture of life.
00:29:27.000 And we need to be seeing that across the states.
00:29:29.000 I want to talk to you a little bit about what we are up against.
00:29:32.000 Two major pro-life bills recently passed in the House, one regarding student care for pregnant students and one regarding funding for pregnancy resource centers.
00:29:42.000 And guess what?
00:29:43.000 Not a single Democrat voted in support of those bills, yet every single Republican voted to support those bills.
00:29:51.000 So that is what we're up against.
00:29:53.000 Joe Biden's deputy campaign manager was making media rounds just a week ago talking about how Joe Biden's day one issue is making abortion access the law of the land.
00:30:03.000 And the radical platform that the Democrats have taken with their pro-abortion agenda is not what represents most Americans.
00:30:09.000 It's definitely not what represents young Americans.
00:30:13.000 And we need strong leaders more than ever to fight against this radical agenda.
00:30:17.000 Across the states now on the state level, you have pro-abortion activists trying to push through codified abortion laws and state constitutions, particularly in states like Florida, Nebraska, Arkansas, just to name a few.
00:30:31.000 Just really quick, can you just talk about the age?
00:30:33.000 There's so many young people that attend the March for Life, which I think is so inspiring.
00:30:37.000 And look at the weather, the fact you get 50,000 people in this kind of a storm.
00:30:41.000 And by the way, it's all across the East Coast.
00:30:42.000 The weather's out of control.
00:30:44.000 Really quick about in one minute, Jane.
00:30:46.000 Can you talk about just the age, the energy, and the next generation involved in this?
00:30:51.000 There are so many young people down here.
00:30:53.000 I'd say the majority of people down here are actually people under the age of 25.
00:30:58.000 And of course, really that age group.
00:31:01.000 I think the weather won.
00:31:03.000 Email us freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:31:05.000 The storm got her, and she'll be fine.
00:31:08.000 She's a tough cookie.
00:31:09.000 Does a great job.
00:31:10.000 Getting a lot of emails, freedom at charliekirk.com in great agreement.
00:31:15.000 And you guys deserve better.
00:31:16.000 That is a theme we say.
00:31:18.000 You deserve better.
00:31:20.000 Many of you are veterans.
00:31:21.000 You've served your country.
00:31:23.000 You pay your taxes.
00:31:25.000 You run your businesses.
00:31:28.000 You raise your kids.
00:31:29.000 You do a great job.
00:31:31.000 You do a really, really great job.
00:31:34.000 You've been, you've honored your country.
00:31:38.000 You don't want extra, you don't want radical elements.
00:31:41.000 Many of you are very decent-minded.
00:31:43.000 You're very moderate-minded.
00:31:44.000 And then you have just a simple ask: hey, can we have a border?
00:31:52.000 And your leaders say no, we won't even try.
00:31:58.000 And what bothers me is: Speaker Johnson, he comes back from the Christmas break.
00:32:02.000 He starts with this press conference at the border and then does nothing for it.
00:32:06.000 He does nothing.
00:32:08.000 Why would he not shut down the government?
00:32:11.000 When you're being invaded, wouldn't that reach the threshold of use every single tool at your disposal?
00:32:19.000 It's a major disappointment.
00:32:21.000 It's beyond a disappointment, the whole thing.
00:32:24.000 There's 108 Republicans, 108 Republicans that voted against it.
00:32:31.000 It's a good start, but it's not nearly enough.
00:32:35.000 You guys need to keep the pressure on.
00:32:38.000 DC is a lagging indicator.
00:32:39.000 It's not a leading indicator.
00:32:41.000 We just got to remove every single one of them.
00:32:42.000 Every single person who voted for the CR, we just got to primary them all.
00:32:45.000 It's not going to happen in one cycle, over two cycles, and we'll list it, right?
00:32:49.000 Dusty Johnson, South Dakota, take that guy out.
00:32:52.000 Speaker Johnson, by the way, someone's just primary Speaker Johnson.
00:32:54.000 I bet you could do really well in Louisiana.
00:32:55.000 Take them all out, one by one.
00:32:58.000 It's going to take some time, but they certainly don't care about the country, and they don't care about you.
