00:01:41.000 Buckle up, everybody.
00:01:41.000 Very important.
00:01:42.000 Here we go.
00:01:43.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:01:45.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campuses.
00:01:47.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:01:50.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:01:54.000 I want to thank Charlie.
00:01:55.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:01:56.000 His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.
00:02:04.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:02:13.000 That's why we are here.
00:02:17.000 So good to see all of you.
00:02:18.000 It's, I think, 122 degrees outside, literally.
00:02:21.000 And I just want to say thank you.
00:02:23.000 Thank you.
00:02:24.000 Love you guys too.
00:02:25.000 And thank you to the Dream City family.
00:02:25.000 Thank you.
00:02:28.000 It's just so amazing to be able to partner like this every single month.
00:02:33.000 I know that this Freedom Square was kind of close to the other one.
00:02:37.000 And we said, hey, let's try it out on a Wednesday.
00:02:39.000 So just so honored to be able to continue to do this.
00:02:42.000 And thank you to the Barnetts and the whole team here.
00:02:44.000 And please do consider supporting the important work that Dream City is doing in the community.
00:02:50.000 And it allows us to do this every single month.
00:02:52.000 And so I just want to thank the entire Dream City family again.
00:02:56.000 It's absolutely terrific and tremendous.
00:02:58.000 And now I'm going to show you the national impact that this has already made.
00:03:04.000 So right now, this week, we are starting a new initiative at Turning Point USA that really started in this room.
00:03:14.000 And, you know, we talked a lot, the Barnetts and I, about the need to get the church to stand up for these issues in this time.
00:03:24.000 Because if the church does not stand up, then we're going to have a nation and a country that is unrecognizable.
00:03:32.000 So at Turning Point USA and Dream City, we think big, right?
00:03:37.000 We try to think in a national scale.
00:03:40.000 And so this week, we have started officially Turning Point Faith, where we have added 28 people on staff that are going to be bringing this model of Freedom Square to hundreds and hopefully eventually thousands of churches across the country.
00:03:59.000 And I want, I think our Turning Point Faith staff, they're here somewhere.
00:04:04.000 I don't know where they are, but they're all the way in the back, all the way in the back there.
00:04:08.000 And those are some amazing freedom fighters.
00:04:11.000 And so that's happening right now this week.
00:04:14.000 And last week, I think it was last week.
00:04:16.000 This time is, I'll tell you, we've had a very long year this month, okay?
00:04:23.000 It's been something.
00:04:25.000 We have officially expanded this idea to Steve Smotherman's church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where they are now going to be meeting monthly for Freedom Square as well.
00:04:38.000 So this movement is growing, and we're just so thrilled to say that this has been the beginning of something very special.
00:04:45.000 And so I want to give some local updates because that's really what makes this unique of what's happening in the community around us.
00:04:52.000 And then we are going to have a conversation with my pastor, Rob McCoy, who's going to be the, he's the co-chair of Turning Point Faith.
00:05:00.000 And we're going to talk about this idea of the looming lockdown towards the church.
00:05:06.000 The question that we are going to answer tonight is, should the church lock down again when they try to usher in these lockdowns?
00:05:16.000 I think we have that answer, but if only every pastor in the country had that same sort of boldness.
00:05:24.000 So we're going to explore that together.
00:05:26.000 So I first just want to say thank you for all of you that came to our turning point action event with President Trump a couple, I think it was two weeks ago.
00:05:34.000 Thank you guys that attended that.
00:05:36.000 And that was a lot of fun and definitely made some national news.
00:05:41.000 Okay, I want to go through a couple things that are happening locally, some dates and times, because a lot of you say, Charlie, what can I do?
00:05:48.000 What can I do?
00:05:49.000 We always want to give you options if you want to impact your local community because there's a lot of stuff happening.
00:05:54.000 Number one, did you guys hear about this Scottsdale consent form?
00:05:59.000 Some of you?
00:06:00.000 Okay, so I am a resident of Scottsdale, and they are going to hear from me very soon on this.
00:06:07.000 The Scottsdale Unified School District, they say mistakenly, sent out a form saying that they need biometric information from every single student.
00:06:20.000 They know any illegal or antisocial tendencies of parents.
00:06:25.000 And they also want to know personal family history to see if things are not being taught correctly in the home, that the school might remedy it.
00:06:35.000 This is Scottsdale Unified School District.
00:06:37.000 Now, they said it was a mistake.
00:06:42.000 But I think there needs to be some explanation from the Scottsdale Unified School District of what is going on there.
00:06:48.000 So if they decide to host in-person school district meetings, which they have not yet decided, they are having a meeting on August 24th.
00:06:59.000 I will be there, whether online or in person.
00:07:02.000 And I would love us to show up with compassion and hopefully in a magnanimous type way, but also filled with truth to ask some questions.
00:07:12.000 First of all, you're never going to mask our children again.
00:07:15.000 I don't care if it's the Delta, the Lambda, the Zelda variant.
00:07:19.000 You're not putting a mask on our kids again.
00:07:21.000 That's not going to happen.
00:07:23.000 And also, you're not going to force the vaccine on high school kids at the Scottsdale Unified School District.
00:07:32.000 It's not going to happen.
00:07:33.000 Now, there's so much happening in the country, but I want to really focus what's happening in these trends here.
00:07:40.000 Many of you have heard that New York City has now instituted vaccine passports.
00:07:47.000 You are not allowed to go to restaurants or theaters or other areas if you're not able to show proof of identification.
00:07:54.000 So at least now we can say the discussion around voter ID is over, right?
00:08:00.000 No longer can they say that it's wrong.
00:08:02.000 Am I right, Matt?
00:08:03.000 That they can no longer say that they can't show voter ID.
00:08:06.000 So at least that discussion is over.
00:08:09.000 But this is a very beyond troubling trend.
00:08:12.000 And unfortunately, this is happening here in Arizona as well.
00:08:17.000 Not through government leaders, but two restaurants in this local area that we know of are saying that they will not serve you if you do not have the vaccine.
00:08:28.000 And the two restaurants, Oven and Vine and FNB, I think are making a big mistake because I believe that it is not biblical or scriptural or filled with the spirit of Christ to discriminate against people because they decided not to take an experimental vaccine.
00:08:46.000 We must stand against this sort of discrimination.
00:08:50.000 And the fact that it's coming here to Arizona is very troubling.
00:08:55.000 And so I just think mentioning it is very important.
00:08:57.000 I'm not saying that boycott or whatever, but I do think that this deserves to be challenged.
00:09:03.000 Maybe even a thoughtful letter, email saying, hey, why are you instituting this type of policy?
00:09:08.000 What if all of a sudden people, what if people have legitimate reasons not to take this?
00:09:13.000 What if they have legitimate concerns and skepticism?
00:09:15.000 Are you going to have a big sign that is outside of the restaurant that says unvaccinated need not apply?
00:09:22.000 You see, in our nation, we turn the page from that kind of dark moment of segregation, of othering.
00:09:29.000 But now we are asking for intimate medical information of whether or not you are going to be served food at certain restaurants in the Scottsdale area.
00:09:38.000 I think this is a great opportunity for us to educate and course correct.
00:09:42.000 I think it's a great opportunity for us to say, you know what?
00:09:44.000 This is not right.
00:09:45.000 And the scripture that says for us to love what is good and hate what is evil.
00:09:50.000 This is not something that we should tolerate.
00:09:52.000 And I can give you a lot of examples of this.
00:09:54.000 First of all, medical information is not restaurants' business.
00:09:56.000 Let's just be very clear.
00:09:58.000 We should not be screening for your entire medical history.
00:09:58.000 Okay.
00:10:01.000 Number two, this is not in any way going to heal or bring the country or the nation together.
00:10:09.000 By definition, it's discrimination.
00:10:12.000 And some people say, well, Charlie, isn't this against the law?
00:10:15.000 Unfortunately, the courts have said that you are able to now, now it's not totally defined yet, you're able to kind of have this kind of process, you know, kind of this process and this sort of rule, I guess you could say.
00:10:30.000 Let me tell you my concern.
00:10:33.000 And I'm going to kind of go into some of the national trends and how this comes.
00:10:37.000 They're almost begging for a confrontation right now.
00:10:42.000 I don't quite know what is going to slow these people down.
00:10:46.000 Now, if you got the vaccine, I've never ever said a negative thing.
00:10:50.000 Some of my closest family members have.
00:10:52.000 Seriously.
00:10:52.000 And you know what?
00:10:53.000 I know some people that have given me really good reasons.
00:10:56.000 They say, you know what?
00:10:56.000 I'm over the age of 70.
00:10:58.000 I know the costs and benefits.
00:10:59.000 I'm really worried about the virus.
00:11:01.000 And this has really let me live my life again.
00:11:02.000 I say, you know what?
00:11:03.000 That's a great, that's what medical decisions are for.
00:11:05.000 You making your own informed decision.
00:11:07.000 I'm not going to say that's a bad decision or not.
00:11:09.000 That's the whole idea of personalization and customized choice.
00:11:13.000 However, it's almost as if they're trying to provoke a response, as if they almost want the conflict, that they're saying that you can't go to certain segments of society.
00:11:25.000 So I just want to caution all of us that we cannot lose one of the fruits of the spirit in how we talk about this, even how we protest about this and how we do activism about this, which is self-control.
00:11:37.000 This is a very emotional issue.
00:11:39.000 It is for me.
00:11:40.000 I could tell you right now, as you know, I've decided not to get the vaccine.
00:11:43.000 I get very worked up about this type of issue.
00:11:46.000 But I also don't want to all of a sudden become an ambassador where we might win the argument, but we lose the entire debate because we just get so kind of out of control on this.
00:11:57.000 And I also don't want to give people that wish to have these mandates excuses if we are not in control of how we talk about this and how we demonstrate about this.
00:12:08.000 If they're begging for a fight, let's not give them one.
00:12:11.000 If they're begging for this kind of confrontation, let's not give them.
00:12:14.000 We don't know that's necessarily the case.
00:12:16.000 But when all of a sudden you're starting to hear people on TV say that, quote, we can't trust the unvaccinated.
00:12:24.000 That's a doctor who went on CNN.
00:12:26.000 Go figure.
00:12:27.000 When you have Francis Collins, the head of NIH, National Institute of Health, and this is a real thing, he has come out and he has said, parents, you need to wear masks around your children at home.
00:12:44.000 That's the government's guidance where they say that you must mask up around your own children at home.
00:12:50.000 It's almost like they want us to get overreacted to that.
00:12:54.000 Maybe not.
00:12:55.000 Maybe they just think that's perfectly rational and calm.
00:12:58.000 So my one message to you guys is let's not take the bait as far as getting overcharged.
00:13:03.000 We must contest these things.
00:13:05.000 Don't get me wrong.
00:13:06.000 But also, what if they are wanting to try to provoke something to justify an even bigger power grab on top of it?
00:13:13.000 Does that make sense?
00:13:16.000 This is an opportunity for us to win the argument because I actually think 80 million people have decided not to get the vaccine, but I think 300 million people agree that you should not be forced to get the vaccine against your will, regardless of whether or not you have gotten the vaccine.
00:13:32.000 So it says in Romans 12, 2, do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world.
00:13:40.000 I love that word pattern, don't you?
00:13:42.000 Because it feels as if things are working in a pattern right now.
00:13:45.000 That word in Greek, pattern, you have to understand the context of when Paul wrote this.
00:13:50.000 The word Greek, it means things that are repeating, that are over-cascading, overwhelming.
00:13:56.000 It kind of feels that way, doesn't it?
00:13:58.000 So this is a test of faith for a lot of us.
00:14:00.000 It's an opportunity for us to say, you know what?
00:14:03.000 Everyone around me says to do something, but I know that's not what I should do, and I'm going to resist from that.
00:14:08.000 And so here's the trend that we're seeing right now, is that another round of lockdowns are coming.
00:14:14.000 They are.
00:14:15.000 It saddens me to say that because I believe the lockdowns from last spring that went on for three months and six months was one of the worst mistakes that has been done in my lifetime in modern American history.
00:14:33.000 And we have to now tell that story, that it was, when you have lost more young people to suicide in the last 18 months than from the virus, we should call time out.
00:14:46.000 When you have lost 40% of small businesses, we should say time out.
00:14:50.000 When we now know how the virus operates, we are now able to use our own agency, our own ability to make decisions and other therapeutics and treatments.
00:15:00.000 What if the cure ends up being worse than the disease?
00:15:04.000 What if we're trying to kill a mouse with a tomahawk missile?
00:15:09.000 What if we defeat and crush the virus, but we lose the country?
00:15:14.000 And so this is an opportunity.
00:15:16.000 I think right now we're going to talk about this.
00:15:18.000 Rob and I are going to explore it because Rob is from California and they're not as enlightened as those of us that are in Arizona.
00:15:25.000 No offense, Rob, in government, where they will push this as far as they can unless we tell them otherwise.
00:15:35.000 Now, I do want to say the state legislature and the governor here in Arizona did do some very good things to ban vaccine passports, to ban mandatory vaccinations, and they have said the right things recently saying that they are not going to lock down the state again.
00:15:57.000 This is where all of us need to get involved and say, you know what?
00:16:00.000 We are not going to allow Arizona to go through another round of lockdowns.
00:16:03.000 When I go to these events and people come up, they say, Charlie, you know, I own a gym.
00:16:08.000 I owned a gym, and I wasn't able to survive because of this last lockdown.
00:16:13.000 That's where we're all of a sudden imposing these sorts of measures.
00:16:16.000 And then, for what?
00:16:18.000 Unfortunately, I believe that these round of lockdowns is trying to usher in some other form of an agenda that is unspecified, that is not, it's not consistent with the American way of life.
00:16:30.000 So, this is why when you look around, these kind of public displays of support, continuing showing up, continuing doing these things matter so much.
00:16:38.000 Remember, the sovereign in this country is not we, the government, it's we, the people.
00:16:45.000 And we still have this power that is vested in us.
00:16:49.000 And so, to kind of summarize this all together, there are a lot of negative trends that are happening nationally.
00:16:56.000 But I could tell you right now here in Arizona, I'm very concerned about this kind of vaccine can't eat at these restaurants.
00:17:02.000 I think that needs to be challenged.
00:17:03.000 But the reason we keep on doing this type of focus on these freedom squares that we are is that since we have started these freedom squares, I'm getting text messages from state legislators and state senators saying, Man, I'm hearing from so many people that are showing up to this Freedom Square thing.
00:17:18.000 Like, we're going to pass this bill or not pass this.
00:17:20.000 This is the grassroots, everybody.
00:17:22.000 This is the church reawakening and taking a stand in the public square.
00:17:27.000 And so, in the next 30 days, my call to action is this for you guys: show up to a school board meeting, any school board meeting, maybe the Scottsdale Unified one, which is definitely going to be number one on my list.
00:17:39.000 Also, be aware and be alert about the coming lockdowns.
00:17:44.000 Go and support the business owners here and even regionally, because New Mexico is not too far from here.
00:17:50.000 And boy, are they trying to lock down very soon?
00:17:53.000 And say, we are going to support the business owners and the pastors that refuse to lock down again.
00:17:59.000 This is a major and major issue.
00:18:02.000 And we are also, and finally, we are also going to inform as many people as we possibly can at the reality of what we're dealing with.
00:18:13.000 1,800 people die every single day from heart disease.
00:18:17.000 1,600 die every single day from cancer.
00:18:20.000 Right around 330 die from the virus, and we don't even know how specific those numbers are.
00:18:28.000 I am not willing to lose the country if we just crush the virus.
00:18:32.000 Liberty is only preserved if we do something about it.
00:18:36.000 And every single one of you play an active role in that.
00:18:39.000 That's a beautiful segue with someone who has been fighting for liberty when it really has been difficult.
00:18:47.000 Please join me in welcoming Pastor Rob McCoy, co-chair of Turning Point Faith and pastor of Calvary Chapel Gotsby.
00:18:55.000 Rob, welcome.
00:18:56.000 Thank you, Charlie.
00:18:57.000 So, Rob, last year, you were faced with a test where California locked down and many of the other churches in your local area decided to comply.
00:19:08.000 You opened up right near Easter and came under massive ridicule and backlash.
00:19:14.000 Let's talk about just the positives first and we can go back.
00:19:18.000 Has your church flourished or succeeded?
00:19:20.000 Has it crippled?
00:19:21.000 Has it gotten smaller?
00:19:23.000 What has happened since you decided to take that stand?
00:19:27.000 Let's see, we've baptized more people in six months than the attendance of the church was six months ago.
00:19:39.000 We've grown now more than 400%.
00:19:43.000 We had Larry Elder come and speak, a gubernatorial candidate.
00:19:49.000 And I do want to say, we take no stances on any elections or politics at Turning Point USA or Turning Point.
00:19:56.000 And I didn't at the church either.
00:19:56.000 I understand that.
00:19:58.000 The point is, only an educated electorate can make decisions.
00:20:02.000 So we invite everyone.
00:20:04.000 So he came out and the place was packed to standing room only.
00:20:08.000 We had to turn folks away because of fire codes.
00:20:11.000 And we can't fit any more services.
00:20:13.000 So I'm going to see if Luke wants to build us a church.
00:20:19.000 So Rob, talk about that moment when you decided to open up.
00:20:24.000 That was May of last year.
00:20:26.000 Yeah.
00:20:27.000 Can I add this, Charlie, real quick?
00:20:29.000 Having the privilege to meet Tommy and Luke, Pastor Tommy and Pastor Luke, and seeing this fellowship, you know, you and I met, and I was a pastor of a small church.
00:20:36.000 These two guys are in the book of who's who.
00:20:38.000 I'm in the book of who's he.
00:20:41.000 And when you guys put the engine on this Freedom Square and gave Charlie this opportunity, I just want to say thank you to all of you because you have made this significantly possible and it comes with the leadership of this fellowship.
00:20:55.000 God bless you guys.
00:20:59.000 So Charlie asked me to come out to this event and I sat in one of those seats, not in the front row.
00:21:04.000 They put me somewhere with her.
00:21:05.000 No, I'm kidding.
00:21:06.000 No, but I sat and I listened and I watched as your entire congregation not only went through these teachings, but there was application to apply them at your local jurisdictions, whether it be the school board or the city council.
00:21:19.000 I was so moved by that, saw what occurred that I went back to our church and we did the same thing.
00:21:25.000 And now all the mama bears are calling for Freedom of Information Act from our school boards and they're lighting it up.
00:21:31.000 God bless you guys.
00:21:34.000 And so what's happening here is starting this organic movement.
00:21:38.000 And I'm getting calls from pastors.
00:21:39.000 Oh, Charlie, we're doing our own Freedom Square.
00:21:41.000 I'm like, where are you?
00:21:42.000 Spokane, Washington.
00:21:43.000 I'm like, oh, really?
00:21:45.000 And now with the new people that we're hiring at Turning Point Faith, we're going to organize it.
00:21:49.000 But this is the drumbeat, the center of it all.
00:21:51.000 It really is the beginning stages of a fulfillment of a vision.
00:21:55.000 So Rob, talk about that moment because talk about how you weighed the costs and the benefits where you talked with your wife and you said, look, we could go to jail if we do this.
00:22:05.000 So at the time, being the pastor of the church, I was also a city councilman.
00:22:05.000 Yeah.
00:22:09.000 I just finished my term as the mayor of the city.
00:22:12.000 And I had been elected and I was coming up for re-election in November.
00:22:16.000 I don't know if you ever heard of the borderline shooting.
00:22:18.000 12 of our young people were killed in the country western dance hall.
00:22:21.000 Two of them were from my congregation.
00:22:22.000 I was the mayor pro tem during the shooting.
00:22:25.000 And then two weeks later, I became mayor.
00:22:27.000 I love my city.
00:22:29.000 I officiated those services.
00:22:32.000 There's nothing I wouldn't do for that community.
00:22:34.000 My heart was broken.
00:22:35.000 We had a memorial dedicated to him one year from that day.
00:22:39.000 I was a good mayor.
00:22:40.000 They were going to re-elect me.
00:22:41.000 And I had a chance to minister to countless people.
00:22:45.000 And we come into the lockdown.
00:22:47.000 And the governor of our state, Governor Nussalini, says, did I spell that wrong?
00:22:58.000 I'm sorry.
00:23:01.000 He said, as we were coming into the Holy Week, that the church was non-essential.
00:23:09.000 Our abortion clinics were essential.
00:23:11.000 You could rip apart a child in its mother's womb and flush the parts into the sewage systems of the state.
00:23:18.000 The cannabis distributors were essential.
00:23:20.000 Liquor stores were essential, but the church wasn't.
00:23:22.000 I said, well, we didn't know the severity of the virus.
00:23:24.000 We said, what if we follow CDC standards?
00:23:26.000 No, you're not essential.
00:23:28.000 I thought, I'm not going to contend right now with all those that you say are essential, but I do know this.
00:23:33.000 None of them are covered by the First Amendment.
00:23:37.000 So we decided that we were going to have communion on the first Sunday, a sacrament in the Christian church for our holy week, Palm Sunday.
00:23:47.000 That was April 3rd, was a Saturday.
00:23:49.000 We're getting ready to do communion on the 4th.
00:23:53.000 And it was as though all hell broke loose.
00:23:56.000 I mean, word got out to England.
00:23:57.000 People were sending clips in the newspaper.
00:23:59.000 We didn't do a press release.
00:24:00.000 I don't even know what one is.
00:24:02.000 And all this stuff started happening.
00:24:03.000 I thought, this is insane.
00:24:05.000 And I called the city manager, and I really appreciate him.
00:24:09.000 And I love the folks I serve on the city council.
00:24:10.000 I said, look, you guys are going to have enough because the state wants to usurp the local autonomy.
00:24:15.000 I'm just going to tell you right now, I'm resigning from my seat because I know the council members are going to censure me.
00:24:21.000 And I swore to defend that constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
00:24:25.000 And I'm making a stand and I'm out.
00:24:29.000 I worked hard to get that seat.
00:24:31.000 And I love my city.
00:24:33.000 And I gave it up.
00:24:35.000 And as I did that, we went into Palm Sunday and we had communion, a sanctuary that holds 400, 450 people.
00:24:41.000 We had 10 chairs and they were separated.
00:24:45.000 And it took four hours to do communion.
00:24:49.000 We followed everything.
00:24:52.000 And the press descended on us.
00:24:55.000 But to their credit, they reported that it was the cleanest place in not only Ventura County, probably the state of California.
00:25:02.000 And protesters and the whole like, but we did communion.
00:25:05.000 And as we did that, all of a sudden people started saying, and I thought to myself, this, Governor, you said the church isn't essential.
00:25:14.000 And the body and blood of Christ in communion, which is a sacrament, is essential.
00:25:18.000 I was thinking about my brothers and sisters in Catholic faith, literal body and blood of Christ.
00:25:21.000 And you're not letting your congregants come.
00:25:24.000 I couldn't grasp that.
00:25:26.000 And then I thought about this.
00:25:27.000 I've been married to my wife, Michelle, for 31 years.
00:25:29.000 You're going to find this a little crass, but bear with me.
00:25:31.000 Not that, but what I'm about to say.
00:25:36.000 If you, now, I'm going to be 57 next week.
00:25:41.000 I was a swimmer, all-American.
00:25:42.000 I know it's hard to believe I look more like a buoy now, but I still got some fight in me.
00:25:48.000 If you tell me my wife is non-essential, you'll be picking up your teeth with your broken arm.
00:25:55.000 Now you're all going, oh.
00:25:59.000 As shepherds of the bride of Christ, where are you?
00:26:04.000 Meaning pastors across the country who bowed to tyranny and forbade the people, even following CDC standards, to allow them to declare the church not essential.
00:26:13.000 I can't live with that.
00:26:15.000 None of us should be able to tolerate that.
00:26:18.000 Period.
00:26:21.000 And so, Rob, we started to see more and more pastors start to stand up, and we started to see this kind of trend grow.
00:26:31.000 And a year ago, it would have been unthinkable, unthinkable, that the current governor of California would be in a statistical tie for a recall, and that the person that is the highest, again, taking no opinion on the candidates, the next person that might fill it is a talk show host, conservative Larry Elder.
00:26:55.000 So, Rob, are people starting to rise up in California?
00:27:03.000 I think so.
00:27:04.000 I think so.
00:27:05.000 You know, our election system there is a little funky.
00:27:11.000 I'll leave it at that.
00:27:14.000 But I'll say this to you, Charlie.
00:27:15.000 You're an instigator.
00:27:18.000 Because, yeah, amen to that.
00:27:19.000 But in a good way.
00:27:21.000 So we had survived the Holy Week thing.
00:27:25.000 And then most of the churches were still kind of observing it.
00:27:30.000 And we'd let people come in.
00:27:31.000 We wouldn't stop them.
00:27:32.000 And we were now realizing after the riots in Los Angeles, where 75% of the businesses that were burned and looted were Jewish-owned and targeted.
00:27:41.000 And the governor embraced it, you know, shoulder to shoulder, no masks, no social distancing.
00:27:47.000 At that point, I said, we're opening this Sunday.
00:27:51.000 And then Jack Hibbs said, let's wait till Pentecost Sunday.
00:27:54.000 I was a little irritated, but you were the one who said, let's get a lawsuit.
00:28:06.000 That's like the farmer wanting breakfast and he wants ham and eggs.
00:28:09.000 And for the pig, it's a sacrifice.
00:28:11.000 And for the chicken, it's an offering.
00:28:15.000 I was the pig.
00:28:18.000 But we decided we were going to contest it.
00:28:21.000 And we were going to open on May 31st.
00:28:22.000 And we did.
00:28:23.000 We opened up wide.
00:28:25.000 And not a single case of COVID, not one.
00:28:30.000 And we were going to kill grandma and the super spreaders, not one case of COVID.
00:28:34.000 We come into August, middle, almost late August, still not a case of COVID.
00:28:39.000 And three of the five supervisors didn't want me to run for supervisor or ever have an elected office because they knew we were gaining momentum.
00:28:48.000 And they voted to get an attorney to get a restraining order, emergency restraining order, to shutter the church.
00:28:58.000 And they found a political and predictive judge to enforce it.
00:29:01.000 And so they gave us a restraining order and they named me and a thousand congregants, whether congregants or visitors, and with a fine attached to it.
00:29:14.000 And that citation, if you have an NOTC scholarship, you lose it.
00:29:17.000 If you have a concealed carry permit, you lose it.
00:29:20.000 And this is serious.
00:29:21.000 You're going to govern employment employee, you have a problem.
00:29:23.000 This is serious.
00:29:26.000 And so now we're coming up to the rubber meets the road and Charles here.
00:29:31.000 We need a lawsuit.
00:29:33.000 And I'm like, I just want a drink with an umbrella on a beach somewhere.
00:29:39.000 He's 27, 28?
00:29:41.000 27.
00:29:42.000 I'm almost 57.
00:29:44.000 All right.
00:29:45.000 My tank's running out.
00:29:48.000 So I called our attorney, and it was Saturday before the Sunday deal.
00:29:54.000 And I had a terrible pain in my shoulder.
00:29:57.000 And I tried to get some vacation.
00:29:58.000 I couldn't process it.
00:30:00.000 And all these things were happening.
00:30:02.000 And I have to go back down to our home in Southern California from where we were vacation in Northern California, my in-law's house.
00:30:09.000 My son-in-law's with me.
00:30:11.000 We're at the airport.
00:30:12.000 I called the attorney and I said, his name's Bob.
00:30:15.000 I said, Bob, tell me, if I violate this restraining order, tell me everything I can lose.
00:30:23.000 And he says, well, you lose your house.
00:30:25.000 You'll lose a church.
00:30:27.000 You'll get audited.
00:30:28.000 You'll get death threats.
00:30:29.000 He starts going down the list.
00:30:33.000 And I'm, you know, my chest is tight.
00:30:36.000 I said, is there anything else?
00:30:40.000 He goes, yeah, matter of fact, there is.
00:30:41.000 And he lists some more things.
00:30:43.000 And I'm hyperventilating.
00:30:46.000 And my shoulder, I've never had pain like that.
00:30:48.000 And I said, is there anything else?
00:30:51.000 And he lists like two other things.
00:30:52.000 I'm like, dude, is there anything else?
00:30:54.000 And he goes, I think that's about it.
00:30:55.000 And it's a legal pad of consequences.
00:30:58.000 And they're all severe.
00:31:00.000 And I said, Bob, I know you can't counsel me to break the law, but I will be breaking the law tomorrow.
00:31:06.000 Will you defend me?
00:31:07.000 And he said, yes.
00:31:08.000 I said, I just need permission from a few places, but I'm making the decision personally, but I'm not going to do it without counting the cost for those who will be involved.
00:31:17.000 I called my wife.
00:31:18.000 I said, honey, this is what we can lose.
00:31:20.000 And I went down the list.
00:31:22.000 And she said, I'd rather be a widow than be married to a coward.
00:31:35.000 I told my kids, all five of them will walk with the Lord and my son-in-laws.
00:31:39.000 My two son-in-laws are great guys.
00:31:41.000 And they said, That's why we're on board.
00:31:43.000 Let's do this.
00:31:44.000 I told my staff, they're like, Hello, we're in.
00:31:48.000 Not one person peeled off.
00:31:50.000 But then I had to go to the elders, 15 elders.
00:31:53.000 I said, Fellows, I've gotten permission from my wife, my kids, from the staff, but I'm coming to you with a different proposition.
00:32:00.000 Tomorrow, I'm going to break the law.
00:32:04.000 And if you don't want me to, then you need to accept my letter of resignation tonight.
00:32:11.000 And I said, I'm not going to be hurt if you ask me to resign because I know you have a fiduciary responsibility, but you're not cowards and you signed up for this.
00:32:23.000 Every single one of them said, We're in.
00:32:30.000 Last one was our landlord, a guy in Texas, a friend of mine.
00:32:37.000 He wanted to buy us a church, and I don't want to own property because I'm very political.
00:32:42.000 I said, I'd lease it from him, and he said, Okay.
00:32:45.000 And I offered him the square foot amount.
00:32:48.000 He goes, That's low.
00:32:49.000 I go, You're going to give it to me.
00:32:52.000 Anyways, I call him up and I said, You know, they're going to take your building.
00:32:55.000 There's a lot of things they can do to you.
00:32:57.000 He said, We gave that to the Lord a long time ago.
00:33:02.000 You go kick there, and then I'll leave that alone.
00:33:10.000 I share all that to tell you this: courage isn't the absence of fear.
00:33:16.000 We're all scared.
00:33:19.000 Everyone has to make a decision.
00:33:21.000 It's going to cost you something.
00:33:23.000 But I learned how to overcome the fear and listen very carefully.
00:33:29.000 Anything given to the Lord first will never be lost.
00:33:34.000 And here's the thing that set me free: when I looked at that yellow legal pad and I counted the cost and I said, none of that matters more to me than liberty for my children and my grandchildren.
00:33:55.000 Yeah.
00:33:57.000 And when I had made that decision in the airport with the attorney, you know what happened?
00:34:02.000 I've never experienced this in my whole life.
00:34:04.000 Now, this is a church of great faith.
00:34:06.000 I would attend here if I lived here.
00:34:11.000 My shoulder pain, gone.
00:34:14.000 It's gone.
00:34:17.000 When you count and you realize they can have everything, when you've surrendered it, there's nothing that they can take from you.
00:34:26.000 And you are free.
00:34:28.000 You're free.
00:34:29.000 Fight.
00:34:30.000 Stand.
00:34:33.000 And Rob, you've seen your church grow and flourish ever since.
00:34:37.000 So some Christians are out there and some pastors are out there.
00:34:41.000 And they say, Rob, nice story, but you are in violation of Romans 13.
00:34:47.000 You need to submit to your government authorities.
00:34:49.000 It's not the Christian's role to do this.
00:34:53.000 We're on the live stream right now, and I'm sure there's a lot of people here that come to Freedom Square and you go to other churches as well.
00:34:59.000 And you have other pastors that you know.
00:35:01.000 Rob, why is that interpretation not correct?
00:35:06.000 And why you were being obedient to the Lord and also the scriptures.
00:35:13.000 Romans 13 is a significant passage because all of you in this room who love this country and this unprecedented freedom that we've enjoyed for 245 years in the 6,000 years of recorded history, there's never been a nation that's enjoyed more freedom, more prosperity, more blessing.
00:35:35.000 And it came from Romans 13.
00:35:38.000 There was a minister by the name of Jonathan Mayhew.
00:35:40.000 He died in 1766.
00:35:43.000 And they were dealing with King George and the tyranny of England.
00:35:47.000 They were watching with this oppressive taxation and the slavery issue that they had convictions in opposition to and they had no voice.
00:35:55.000 The king ruled.
00:35:56.000 They were subjects.
00:35:59.000 And Jonathan Mayhew looked at Romans 13 and it says that God appoints all positions of authority that we're to submit to them and they're therefore our good.
00:36:09.000 And he declared, when the ruler ceases to do good, he ceases to be the authority.
00:36:21.000 And he coined a phrase that John Adams said started the revolution.
00:36:25.000 Now, he was dead in 1766, but he coined the phrase that lit up the eastern seaboard and inspired the founders.
00:36:32.000 He said, disobedience to tyrants is obedience to God.
00:36:42.000 Now, for my fellow pastors tuning in on live stream or not, you know, some of the congregants or the folks who are struggling with it, remember this.
00:36:49.000 Jonathan Mayhew lived in an oligarchy, a monarchy, excuse me.
00:36:55.000 We live in a constitutional republic.
00:36:58.000 So let's look at Romans 13.
00:37:00.000 All positions of authority are appointed by God.
00:37:05.000 What's the authority in America according to the first three words of the preamble of the Constitution?
00:37:13.000 And who has to be afraid of the authority, those who would do evil?
00:37:17.000 You see, elected officials govern by our consent.
00:37:21.000 And if they cease to honor and they don't honor the authority, meaning we the people, and they proceed in that capacity, it also says that there are ministers of justice to execute wrath on those who would do evil.
00:37:35.000 They don't carry the sword in vain.
00:37:37.000 That's why the founders gave us the Second Amendment.
00:37:40.000 Tyrants want you silent.
00:37:43.000 And we have a nation that's bottom up.
00:37:46.000 We the people, they govern by our consent.
00:37:49.000 And so for all the pastors out there who say that you must submit to authority, welcome to the United States of America.
00:37:55.000 We the people are the authority.
00:38:01.000 So Rob, I want to close with this question.
00:38:04.000 Then we want to do some questions from the audience because I know that we never get to enough questions here.
00:38:08.000 And Rob will be open to take some questions as well.
00:38:11.000 Rob, what is the potential power of the church?
00:38:15.000 How many churches need to rise up to actually fix this kind of cultural trend?
00:38:20.000 Not politics, but actually fix what we've been seeing.
00:38:24.000 And why hasn't the church done it?
00:38:26.000 And where's the opportunity there?
00:38:28.000 Yeah, good government only happens with good people.
00:38:31.000 And from the moral law comes civil law.
00:38:34.000 And our founders gave the king, we the people, counselors.
00:38:38.000 Kings need counselors, presidents need a cabinet.
00:38:41.000 They gave us the First Amendment, the freedom of the press, the freedom of religion, the freedom of speech, and the freedom to peaceably assemble for a right of redress of grievances against the government.
00:38:47.000 Point.
00:38:48.000 The press is to report the truth and the pulpits are to proclaim it.
00:38:52.000 You'll know the truth.
00:38:53.000 The truth will set you free.
00:38:55.000 Only a moral people can govern a republic.
00:38:58.000 And the idea is, as it says in 2 Corinthians, where the spirit of the Lord is, there's liberty.
00:39:02.000 Liberty is, as Charlie said, is not man's idea.
00:39:05.000 It's God's idea.
00:39:06.000 The pulpits must proclaim it and stand upon it.
00:39:09.000 And if they don't awaken and push back on the tyranny, they will be held liable for the enslavement of humanity while tyranny comes and absolutely eviscerates the most free nation on the face of the earth.
00:39:26.000 One in nine Americans fought the Revolutionary War.
00:39:28.000 Charlie and I have been looking at the data.
00:39:31.000 If 25% of the churches are willing to defy tyranny, we will stop this juggernaut of socialism.
00:39:38.000 And so, and I could tell you all tonight, it's happening.
00:39:44.000 When all of you show up, you'd be amazed at how many pastors are saying, wow, the numbers are increasing and things are happening and changing in Arizona.
00:39:53.000 And other pastors from other states are now getting extra resolve and conviction because these movements start to almost take the momentum of the life of their own.
00:40:03.000 And so what's really important to re-emphasize about what Rob just said is that it doesn't take 75% or 80%, just one in four churches, one in four pastors that start to speak out against this.
00:40:17.000 So let's think about this.
00:40:19.000 Is Hollywood going to save the country anytime soon?
00:40:22.000 Media, tech companies, is the federal government the only institution that's left that has any sort of organization, that has a claim for truth, that is able to call a crooked line from a straight line, that's able to call good from evil, dark from light, and right from wrong, is the church.
00:40:44.000 And for pastors and the church out there that are a little squeamish or uncertain, this is a call to action and an opportunity.
00:40:52.000 Because I could say personally that if you sit idly by when all of this is happening and you have membership and you have influence, you're like, oh, no, I'm not really going to comment on those things.
00:41:06.000 What a morally questionable decision, to be perfectly honest.
00:41:10.000 And Rob, what do you have to say about the other pastors that have been doing this?
00:41:14.000 Are you starting to see this trend pick up?
00:41:16.000 Are you seeing more pastors that are speaking out than ever before?
00:41:20.000 Yeah, absolutely.
00:41:22.000 So we're having service, and this is how I had the privilege to meet you all.
00:41:25.000 We were having service, and I'm thinking I'm the only one.
00:41:29.000 And then it's a Sunday service second row.
00:41:31.000 There are these really kind of charismatic people in the second row going, go on, come on, come on.
00:41:37.000 And I'm like, where are they from?
00:41:38.000 You know, that was JĂĽrgen.
00:41:40.000 JĂĽrgen Matesius.
00:41:42.000 He comes out with his whole staff.
00:41:43.000 They drove.
00:41:45.000 Come on.
00:41:46.000 Yeah, come on.
00:41:48.000 It's so good, Mike.
00:41:48.000 It's so good.
00:41:49.000 That's awesome now.
00:41:50.000 You're all right.
00:41:51.000 So good, Charlie.
00:41:53.000 So good.
00:41:54.000 Yeah.
00:41:55.000 So JĂĽrgen's there, and he goes back the next Sunday, opens his church, and he tells the story about a Marine that put a gun to his mouth, pulled the trigger, didn't go.
00:42:06.000 Redid again, didn't go.
00:42:07.000 His father calls him, let's go to church.
00:42:08.000 He goes, Dad, there's no churches open.
00:42:11.000 He says, I heard a one awakened.
00:42:13.000 They had opened that Sunday.
00:42:14.000 He got saved, brought his girlfriend, she got saved, dad got saved.
00:42:17.000 And Juergen says this is happening all over.
00:42:19.000 We've had a 30% increase in overdose and suicides and 300% increase in child abuse in our county alone.
00:42:26.000 This is criminal what they're doing to us.
00:42:28.000 The elderly are dying alone.
00:42:30.000 The abused are quarantined with their abusers.
00:42:32.000 They've shuttered our schools when more kids have drowned in bathtubs and have died from COVID.
00:42:37.000 Listen, there's going to be a lot of variants.
00:42:39.000 And the very last variant of COVID is communism.
00:42:43.000 Fight it.
00:42:45.000 Amen.
00:42:51.000 So we're going to take some questions here.
00:42:54.000 I want to just emphasize no public service announcements.
00:42:57.000 Charlie, can I add this?
00:42:58.000 It's good.
00:42:59.000 Got a call from the attorney just as coming in.
00:42:59.000 You're going to like it.
00:43:02.000 Not only did they drop their case against us, so they're finding us $3,000 every service, and we had over $300,000, they dropped that.
00:43:08.000 They offered us $100,000 to go away because we countersued them and we're in a cross-complaint.
00:43:13.000 And then today they went and asked that it be dismissed so that they said there's no longer an emergency yet.
00:43:18.000 We're still under emergency orders by the governor.
00:43:19.000 So you can't talk out of both sides of your mouth.
00:43:21.000 We're going to win this thing.
00:43:22.000 Yeah.
00:43:29.000 So please, no public service announcements.
00:43:32.000 Let's do questions because there's a lot of people that want to say a lot of different things.
00:43:37.000 So just ask a question and make it as short as you can so we can get to as many as possible.
00:43:40.000 We'll start right here.
00:43:41.000 And students get preference.
00:43:42.000 If you're a student, you're able to cut in line.
00:43:44.000 Okay, yes.
00:43:46.000 My name is Mark Delmaistro.
00:43:47.000 I'm a combat Vietnam veteran.
00:43:49.000 Thank you for your service.
00:43:54.000 More than that, I'm an American patriot, but more than that, I believe in God and I'm not ashamed or afraid to say it.
00:44:00.000 Loud and clear, I believe in God.
00:44:05.000 God chooses the color of our skin, and God chooses if we're a man or a woman, and God chooses our parents, our brothers, and our sisters, and God chooses the nation we are born in.
00:44:17.000 If the Democrats can tell a lie all the time, why can't we tell this simple truth all the time and take the race card off the table?
00:44:26.000 Amen.
00:44:27.000 I agree.
00:44:28.000 So I will answer that by saying you're right.
00:44:34.000 And this is really a theological debate that we're in our country right now.
00:44:38.000 We believe that there is a God and we are not him.
00:44:44.000 They don't believe those things.
00:44:45.000 And we need to re-emphasize it.
00:44:47.000 Next question.
00:44:47.000 Thank you so much.
00:44:49.000 Hi, my name is Joshua.
00:44:52.000 I'm a sixth grader.
00:44:54.000 And I was asking, what advice would you give to a young entrepreneur?
00:45:02.000 And what industry do you think conservative people should be focusing on more?
00:45:12.000 That's going to be like a Christian Jeff Bezos, right?
00:45:14.000 I want to live long enough to see him president.
00:45:19.000 First of all, thank you for being here.
00:45:20.000 It's awesome.
00:45:21.000 And sixth grader already thinking that way.
00:45:23.000 So here's a couple pieces of advice when it comes to an entrepreneur, speaking one entrepreneur to the other.
00:45:30.000 If you want to find something to do in the entrepreneurial realm, there's a really simple rule.
00:45:35.000 Go find something everyone is complaining about and go solve their problem.
00:45:40.000 The best entrepreneurs find things that people are complaining about and go solve their problems.
00:45:45.000 Number two, maybe college is for you.
00:45:49.000 Maybe it's not for you.
00:45:51.000 I would argue that maybe taking a gap year before college, you will never have a time where you have more energy, more ability, and more capacity to take risks when you're 18, 19, and 20, and you're not hopefully burdened down by debt, and you could take that risk at that time.
00:46:09.000 Number three, we do need more entrepreneurs.
00:46:12.000 And for adults out there, please be more supporting and understanding of students and young people that want to take risks and start businesses and want to do things that are not necessarily in the cookie cutter college trajectory.
00:46:28.000 We need more people to start new stuff.
00:46:31.000 And so I want to just encourage you, and I want you to think really big.
00:46:37.000 I want you to enjoy working harder than the people next to you, but never work to satisfy others.
00:46:44.000 Work to glorify the Lord and work to do big and ambitious things that make people's lives better.
00:46:50.000 Remember, solve people's complaints and you'll be very successful.
00:46:54.000 Rob, you want to piggyback on that?
00:46:55.000 Hey, Joshua, my dad, when I told him I was going into ministry, he said, you're not going to be able to provide for your family.
00:47:00.000 It's a waste of time.
00:47:02.000 I went in the ministry and they didn't have anything to do with me.
00:47:05.000 My dad had Alzheimer's.
00:47:07.000 He wasn't speaking.
00:47:08.000 I'm at the home.
00:47:09.000 My mom and my wife are talking.
00:47:11.000 And my dad's looking at me.
00:47:12.000 And I don't talk to him because he has a short-term memory problem.
00:47:15.000 He's gone to be with the Lord.
00:47:16.000 But I turn and look at him.
00:47:17.000 And he's looking at me.
00:47:19.000 He says, what do you do?
00:47:22.000 I said, sir, I'm a minister.
00:47:23.000 I'm a pastor of a church.
00:47:25.000 He didn't know who I was.
00:47:27.000 He goes, you know, my son's a minister, and I'm very proud of him.
00:47:34.000 You do what God told you to do.
00:47:35.000 You stay the course, but seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
00:47:42.000 Next question.
00:47:45.000 So first of all, I want to thank you, Charlie.
00:47:48.000 My name is Christy Blackman.
00:47:50.000 We live, my husband's Walter and Williams.
00:47:52.000 Awesome.
00:47:53.000 Of course.
00:47:54.000 Great guy.
00:47:55.000 Thank you.
00:47:56.000 Stand up.
00:47:56.000 You're doing a great job, by the way.
00:47:58.000 Thank you.
00:47:58.000 You really are.
00:48:04.000 So I want to say a special thanks to you and also to Angel and to Jim Lehman.
00:48:11.000 We have been battling the problem of socialism on the Navajo Nation and the other Indigenous reservations for quite some time.
00:48:21.000 They're not even Walt's district, but we feel that God wants us to go out there.
00:48:26.000 Turning Point was the only organization that foleyed over the dough last year to help us.
00:48:33.000 I'm going to start crying.
00:48:36.000 And then watching Angel come in with this home that they're working on.
00:48:43.000 I just can't thank you guys enough.
00:48:45.000 And I hope you do more of this.
00:48:47.000 And I know I'm supposed to ask a question, but this is a thank you.
00:48:51.000 That really blessed me.
00:48:52.000 And thank you for saying that.
00:48:54.000 And I also want to say we have some guests here.
00:48:58.000 Jim Layman and Matt Salmon are here listening tonight.
00:49:01.000 So thank you guys for attending.
00:49:04.000 And I just want to make sure I say thank you for attending tonight.
00:49:08.000 And General Maguire is here as well.
00:49:10.000 So thank you as well.
00:49:12.000 So I might be missing somebody.
00:49:14.000 I just want to say thank you guys for attending.
00:49:16.000 And we need to keep pushing forward.
00:49:19.000 Okay, the next question.
00:49:20.000 Yes.
00:49:21.000 My name's Savannah Badilla.
00:49:24.000 And I have a question for you.
00:49:27.000 What have you learned since being married?
00:49:29.000 That's a great question.
00:49:31.000 I have learned, as my wife's right here, that the teachings of the Bible are beyond true.
00:49:39.000 When a man finds a wife, he finds a good thing, is what it says in Proverbs.
00:49:43.000 And that is absolutely true.
00:49:46.000 And I've learned a lot.
00:49:48.000 And I've also learned, this is very important for young people out there, that the secular narrative of don't get married, put all this stuff aside, is a bunch of rubbish.
00:50:00.000 It's garbage.
00:50:02.000 And so still in the newly wed phase, but I could tell you, it's been the greatest blessing and adventure and journey.
00:50:10.000 And I just want to encourage and support every young person out there to dismiss all the noise from the secular culture.
00:50:16.000 If you believe you found the right person that you want to be in a covenant with, you don't have to wait till you're 28 and you have all those corporate boxes checked.
00:50:24.000 You don't have to wait till you're 32 and you're like, oh, I'm too young.
00:50:28.000 Obey the Lord and you will be blessed.
00:50:30.000 And I could tell you right now, that's something I've really learned the last couple months.
00:50:33.000 Rob, Savannah, my son, my youngest, is 19 years old.
00:50:38.000 And he said, Dan, how old do you have to be to get married?
00:50:40.000 Because he's sweet on a girl.
00:50:41.000 And I won't tell you who that is, but everybody knows.
00:50:43.000 He said, how old do you have to be to get married?
00:50:45.000 And I said, son, if I had met your mom when I was 19, I would have married her.
00:50:48.000 Get busy, son.
00:50:49.000 Go get that done.
00:50:51.000 When you get past 18, okay?
00:50:53.000 There we go.
00:50:54.000 So it's been an amazing blessing.
00:50:56.000 How old are you?
00:50:58.000 10.
00:51:00.000 What a wise question.
00:51:02.000 And we're so glad you're here.
00:51:03.000 So thank you, Savannah.
00:51:04.000 And a beautiful name, by the way.
00:51:05.000 So thank you.
00:51:06.000 All right.
00:51:07.000 Hello, my name is Elise.
00:51:09.000 I'm 16.
00:51:11.000 You have a lot of fans.
00:51:14.000 Hello.
00:51:17.000 So this is something that God has put on my heart quite a bit recently.
00:51:21.000 And I was wondering if either of you had an answer to it.
00:51:24.000 So a lot of conservatives and Republicans are people of faith.
00:51:28.000 And while I believe many do reflect that, there are so many that seem to get so wrapped up in their party that they start to act like a Republican rather than a Christian.
00:51:40.000 Rob, do you want to start with that?
00:51:42.000 Yeah.
00:51:45.000 It is true I'm a registered Republican.
00:51:48.000 An endangered species in California is the California Condor and a conservative Republican.
00:51:55.000 The Republican Party in California spent a million dollars against me in a primary.
00:52:01.000 It's a train wreck.
00:52:03.000 Politics, excuse me, parties are platforms, and they're only as good as the people who participate in them.
00:52:10.000 I'm a Christian before anything else, and I will always be.
00:52:14.000 Now, in a party system, you need to activate and work together.
00:52:20.000 And that party will only be as good as the people who participate.
00:52:23.000 If you're a registered Democrat, make sure that the Democrat Party becomes pro-life.
00:52:28.000 Make sure that they stand for life.
00:52:32.000 Push that.
00:52:32.000 That is one of the most heinous issues on the face of the earth.
00:52:35.000 If you're an independent, provoke them to jealousy as your numbers grow.
00:52:40.000 But whatever you are, this is a participatory government.
00:52:43.000 Join in.
00:52:44.000 I agree with you.
00:52:45.000 Don't put your party above your faith, but make sure your faith moves the party.
00:52:52.000 And outside of the party side of it, just as a conservative, my day job, no different than plumbers or electricians, is kind of conservative ideas, right?
00:53:05.000 And so at times people can say, Charlie, you care more about that than the kingdom, which is not true.
00:53:12.000 It can appear that way.
00:53:14.000 But also, when it's your job, you want to try to do that thing for the kingdom.
00:53:19.000 So I'm focused on the second most important thing that a human being can contest for.
00:53:25.000 And I also talked about the first thing as well.
00:53:28.000 So the most important thing you can do is to bring souls to Jesus Christ that they're born new and that they can find eternal life.
00:53:36.000 Now, you might say, well, Charlie, why are you focused on the second thing?
00:53:39.000 What is the second thing?
00:53:41.000 To make sure you can do the first thing.
00:53:44.000 It's pretty important.
00:53:45.000 It be sense in every dollar of evangelism.
00:53:48.000 Yeah, and so, for example, there's certain the type of government you have matters.
00:53:52.000 The type of framework you have matters.
00:53:54.000 We take it kind of sometimes for granted in our country.
00:53:57.000 We wouldn't be able to have Freedom Square in Wuhan.
00:54:00.000 Wouldn't happen.
00:54:01.000 They don't have religious freedom.
00:54:03.000 In fact, China just last week removed thousands of crucifixes and Bibles and burned them publicly, and the church had to go further underground.
00:54:13.000 So that kind of system does really matter a lot.
00:54:15.000 But I do agree with you.
00:54:17.000 If that ever happens and that crosses, that is a problem.
00:54:20.000 But I'll also say some churches are very even far away from that.
00:54:25.000 Some churches don't comment on the moral issues at all.
00:54:27.000 So it has to be a balance, has to be a hierarchy.
00:54:30.000 Jesus is the head of the church, right?
00:54:32.000 And that always must remain constant.
00:54:34.000 Thank you so much for that wise question.
00:54:36.000 Thank you.
00:54:39.000 Hello, Charlie.
00:54:40.000 My name is Chris.
00:54:41.000 My not-so-Christian college is out in Oregon.
00:54:44.000 Which college?
00:54:45.000 You go to Evergreen State?
00:54:46.000 Corbin University.
00:54:47.000 Okay, that's not so Christian.
00:54:48.000 Yeah, nothing more.
00:54:50.000 But my question for you.
00:54:51.000 So the left is using the vaccine as a symbol of trust, as you mentioned earlier.
00:54:56.000 And so would it be possible to get a bunch of Christian conservatives that have gotten the vaccine like myself to get together and publicly unite against this focus on industries and businesses requiring the vaccine saying we trust the unvaccinated?
00:55:13.000 Would that work?
00:55:14.000 Yeah, I mean, please do that because I think that would actually throw a little bit of a wrench and a curveball into the argument.
00:55:22.000 Yeah, I mean, they kind of just dismiss me as like the unwashed, right?
00:55:26.000 It's like the low level of the caste system because I'm unvaccinated.
00:55:29.000 That's kind of how they trust me.
00:55:30.000 But again, this is beyond vaccinated or not.
00:55:35.000 This is about power and discrimination and stereotyping and othering.
00:55:40.000 And so you being vaccinated and myself being unvaccinated, guess what?
00:55:44.000 This doesn't make either of us a better person anyway.
00:55:46.000 And how on earth did we ever get to a place in our country where I'm even categorizing us based on our medical status?
00:55:52.000 Do you want to trade?
00:55:53.000 Do you want to trade like, hey, what drugs are you on?
00:55:57.000 Like, have you passed an HIV test?
00:55:58.000 Like, that's really creepy, by the way.
00:55:59.000 Like, we shouldn't do that.
00:56:00.000 It's a really bad idea.
00:56:02.000 And also, maybe I'm not a lawyer, but how does this not violate HIPAA?
00:56:05.000 Like, can someone please explain that to me?
00:56:08.000 Seriously, that healthcare privacy is fundamental.
00:56:12.000 So I think you're on to something.
00:56:13.000 I would love to see a coalition of the vaccinated to protect the unvaccinated.
00:56:17.000 Absolutely.
00:56:18.000 Thank you so much.
00:56:19.000 Thank you.
00:56:19.000 Yes.
00:56:20.000 Next question.
00:56:21.000 My man, right here.
00:56:23.000 You attend every event and you're just an awesome person.
00:56:26.000 I just want to.
00:56:27.000 I did miss one.
00:56:28.000 I did miss the one in June.
00:56:30.000 Well, I don't remember that one.
00:56:31.000 I'm glad you're here, though.
00:56:32.000 Okay.
00:56:32.000 Well, I'm glad to be here.
00:56:34.000 Thank you.
00:56:34.000 I'm going to make it brief.
00:56:36.000 I've been a fan of heavy rock music since I can remember.
00:56:40.000 And it's insane to see, it's been eye-opening to me since the Trump era, really, to see how many of my favorite musicians, frontmen guitarists, are blatantly anti-Trump, anti-conservative values, anti-freedom.
00:56:53.000 It's just really strange to see that since I've been into that for a long time.
00:56:58.000 But now people like Eric Clapton are speaking out because he had a very bad reaction to the AstraZeneca vaccine.
00:57:04.000 And he's being shunned by the media and by his fellow musicians.
00:57:10.000 And another example, Axel Rose from Guns N' Roses called his crowd yesterday at a Guns N' Roses concert his fellow political pandemic prisoners.
00:57:19.000 So as people begin to wake up more and more, people begin to speak out in movie industry and the music industry, my question to both of you really is, do you see potential lockdowns, potential looming lockdowns completely backfiring no matter what side you're on?
00:57:39.000 So I think you're onto something.
00:57:41.000 So first, let me just say on rock music, this has been the weirdest thing for me to see.
00:57:45.000 All these people that have made a career of fighting the man and like protesting, like all of a sudden being like, go do everything you're told right now and go be perfectly obedient.
00:57:54.000 It's like, really?
00:57:55.000 Like you're the ones that are like burning flags and like doing all sorts of weird stuff, right?
00:58:00.000 Like go obey now and be a good citizen.
00:58:03.000 Like really?
00:58:03.000 Like your whole thing is about like pyrotechnics, right?
00:58:07.000 Like that's not exactly, you know, following the rules.
00:58:10.000 Anyway, so that's been really interesting to see.
00:58:12.000 I mean, I grew up in a society where all the cool people were fighting the orders and the institutions.
00:58:19.000 My body, my choice.
00:58:20.000 Like now it's all just kind of, that's all gone.
00:58:22.000 So I just find that to be interesting.
00:58:24.000 And no one's ever been able to explain that to me recently.
00:58:27.000 The only explanation that does make sense is their fear of dying.
00:58:30.000 That's the only explanation is that they're so afraid of dying, they're willing to do things they don't actually believe because all they have is this belief of the momentary world, not a belief in the eternal.
00:58:42.000 That's the only explanation that makes sense.
00:58:44.000 I think you might be onto something.
00:58:45.000 And Rob, I'd love to get your opinion.
00:58:47.000 Just anecdotally, non-data, I'm not seeing people put up with this new reinstitution of mask mandates, and I am not seeing people put up with this new lockdown.
00:58:56.000 I was just in Washington, D.C. yesterday, actually this morning, and at the Reagan airport, just kind of sitting there without a mask, you look around like half the people are wearing masks until they're like begrudgingly told to put a mask back on.
00:59:10.000 And I think that there is going to be a backlash if they try to lock down the country again.
00:59:16.000 There is.
00:59:16.000 My fear, as I said earlier, if they're trying to provoke a confrontation that will get wild and chaotic to justify an even bigger power response to try to control the uncontrolled citizenry, right?
00:59:28.000 Rob, do you think that people are going to put up with another lockdown?
00:59:33.000 That's a good question, Charlie.
00:59:36.000 Yeah, because, you know, they're going to push it towards the military and they're going to try to separate us and frighten us.
00:59:44.000 And with the vaccination separation, it's interesting to me that we would suspend freedom out of fear of a virus that has a 99.5% survival rate with 70 under with no comorbidities.
01:00:00.000 We would suspend our liberty for that.
01:00:05.000 And yet you look and people are bowing to it.
01:00:10.000 I can't process it.
01:00:11.000 And then the vaccine, for those of you taking it, no judgment on this end, but we have breakthrough.
01:00:18.000 And now you got Delta and Gamma and Lambda.
01:00:23.000 It's true.
01:00:23.000 They got Kappa Lambda 5, my new, you know, and they announced Lambda today, by the way.
01:00:27.000 I don't know if you heard that.
01:00:28.000 And they're all vaccine resistant.
01:00:32.000 Do you see where this is going?
01:00:34.000 You are a pincushion and they're making a fortune.
01:00:37.000 Whatever you, but my point is, when did they get the right to do that to us?
01:00:42.000 And then to muzzle our kids, I will say, I don't have the answer because the answer lies with each and every one of you.
01:00:50.000 How much are you going to put up with?
01:00:52.000 Because they're going to cause you, it's going to cost you something and you're going to have to make a decision.
01:00:58.000 You'll lose your job.
01:01:00.000 Write it on the legal pad and find out what the future of your kids and your grandkids is worth as far as liberty is concerned.
01:01:07.000 And if it's temporal, we're in trouble.
01:01:09.000 And I just want to kind of reemphasize that point when we get to the next question is that, no, it's going to cost you something.
01:01:14.000 And I've always been so clear about that during these events is I'm not trying to tell you that we can finally win the country back and you can win everything over without possibly having a cost associated.
01:01:25.000 But I can promise you something is that I can promise you that if you commit to this courageous way of action, you can be the same person in public that you are in private and be free.
01:01:36.000 That I can promise you.
01:01:37.000 That you don't have to disguise your beliefs and be somebody different at all times.
01:01:41.000 Yes, next question.
01:01:42.000 How you doing, Charlie?
01:01:44.000 Karl Marx created communism and the way he did it was through economic communism.
01:01:49.000 Economic communism doesn't work in America because we have a middle class.
01:01:54.000 If we had a poor and a wealthy class, it would be able to push through.
01:01:58.000 But since we have a middle class, it doesn't work.
01:02:00.000 From there, there's another thing called social communism, which we are going through right now with critical race theory.
01:02:06.000 Social communism is being pushed back by the church and by people in the community as being called racism as what it is.
01:02:13.000 But in an attempt to bring apart, bring about communism, they are trying to divide people into one or the other.
01:02:21.000 And then in turn, the government comes in and says, we can solve your problems.
01:02:26.000 Now we are moving on to a new one.
01:02:28.000 It's called medical communism, where we are trying and attempting to split people.
01:02:34.000 And in the end, the government will come in and step in and take care of the problem.
01:02:39.000 Operation Shield was just released, the outline for it from the CDCF.
01:02:44.000 The end point of Operation Shield is camps and sectors.
01:02:48.000 Is there a chance, this is directly for you, that you would be able to come in and speak on the horrors of communism and where we are headed?
01:02:57.000 Because I think for half of us, we understand what communism is because we were either born during it or born at the end of it.
01:03:04.000 The new people, we understand in a way we're trying to save our government, but what are we trying to save it from?
01:03:10.000 Is there a chance that you might be able to bring that up and go through what the horrors that we could be facing down the road are?
01:03:17.000 Yeah, the answer is yes.
01:03:19.000 You bring up a super smart point.
01:03:21.000 With your permission, I'm going to mention on my show.
01:03:23.000 Is that okay?
01:03:24.000 And you guys can listen every day on AM 960 locally on the radio every day from 9 to 10.
01:03:29.000 I'm totally going to use that because what you just made me realize, which is so obvious, is that this pattern of rich versus poor, of man versus woman, of black versus white, they're trying to start a new class struggle of vaccinated versus unvaccinated.
01:03:42.000 Obviously, hello, that's so, how did I not realize that?
01:03:45.000 It's so obvious.
01:03:46.000 The thing is, is that in order to take control, they have to split.
01:03:50.000 Of course.
01:03:51.000 And once they split, then the federal government can come in and say, we can take care of all your problems.
01:03:55.000 So you're right.
01:03:56.000 And that kind of pattern has been used, right?
01:04:01.000 And so now the new one they want is this kind of differing Americas.
01:04:05.000 Now, here's what I just want to say about the unvaccinated issue, which I think they haven't totally thought through.
01:04:11.000 You know who the least vaccinated people in the country are?
01:04:14.000 Black Americans and Hispanic Americans.
01:04:17.000 So they're now going to tell Black Americans, 75% of whom are not vaccinated, you can't go to restaurants in downtown New York City.
01:04:26.000 How's that going to work out, right?
01:04:28.000 I thought the whole arc of this entire narrative was racial justice and Black Lives Matter.
01:04:35.000 But so yes, I'm happy to talk about this.
01:04:37.000 But what I do want to re-emphasize, though, and I don't want to get too academic about this, forget, not forget, let's put communism and socialism and collectivism.
01:04:47.000 All of these roads lead to one thing, which is authoritarianism.
01:04:51.000 A small group of people having a lot of unchecked power permanently.
01:04:56.000 That's where all of this goes, right?
01:04:59.000 And so we're going to have to get to another question, but I'm happy to talk more about that.
01:05:02.000 You gave me a great point.
01:05:03.000 I want to thank you for that.
01:05:04.000 That was really wise.
01:05:05.000 So thank you.
01:05:10.000 My name is David Alvarado, and I want to make a couple comments and then I'll ask my question.
01:05:15.000 All right, make it quick.
01:05:16.000 Yeah.
01:05:16.000 First of all, thank you, Pastor Rob, for being that gladiator as a pastor.
01:05:23.000 We need more of you.
01:05:27.000 I want to thank you also, Charlie, for basically solidifying in me to run for school board.
01:05:37.000 Awesome.
01:05:39.000 Where are you running?
01:05:41.000 I'm going to answer that in a minute.
01:05:43.000 I had this thought in my head about a year ago.
01:05:46.000 I mentioned it to my wife in passing.
01:05:48.000 She laughed at it.
01:05:50.000 We came to the first town square meeting.
01:05:55.000 When you mentioned run for school board, I gave her a look.
01:06:00.000 She goes, okay.
01:06:13.000 I put my statement of interest in this week.
01:06:18.000 So I'm officially running.
01:06:20.000 If you're in the Deer Valley Unified School District, I need lawyers on the street petitioning for signatures.
01:06:35.000 Now, I wasn't planning on saying that part, but you asked me the question, I answered it.
01:06:39.000 Yes, that is correct.
01:06:43.000 I'm a career educator, started in California, came to Arizona.
01:06:50.000 My life's passion has been to educate children.
01:06:58.000 And I hate what's going on.
01:07:02.000 My first language is Spanish.
01:07:05.000 I'm a bilingual Spanish teacher, now considered ELL.
01:07:12.000 And I know God's been just roughing the edges for me.
01:07:18.000 And I know he's building me up for something bigger.
01:07:23.000 And I know, and I'm going to ask publicly because I need a job.
01:07:28.000 Okay, well, because I know we need to work on the Spanish-speaking population with Turning Point USA.
01:07:36.000 Well, thank you.
01:07:37.000 We'd love to chat with you and connect you through our team.
01:07:41.000 And so.
01:07:42.000 So that was my question.
01:07:43.000 Can you give me a job?
01:07:44.000 Can you hire me?
01:07:45.000 All right.
01:07:45.000 Thank you.
01:07:47.000 I love the courage.
01:07:48.000 You see that?
01:07:49.000 That's courage.
01:07:50.000 So we need more of it.
01:07:51.000 God bless you.
01:07:51.000 That's awesome.
01:07:52.000 I mean that.
01:07:52.000 We'll chat.
01:07:53.000 So, and I do want to mention this on education on the Charlie Kirk Show podcast.
01:07:58.000 Thank you guys for subscribing, by the way, and thank you guys for listening.
01:08:02.000 If you're not yet subscribed, you can take out your phone and type in Charlie Kirk Show and hit subscribe.

01:08:35.000 That's charlieforhillsdale.com.

01:08:39.000 They are awesome classes, intro to the Constitution, Federalist Papers, Where Do Rights Come From.
01:08:44.000 And they have the best American history course for young kids.
01:08:49.000 It's called Land of Hope.
01:08:50.000 It takes, it's like 15 courses long.
01:08:53.000 It's like 30 minutes in each course.
01:08:55.000 I highly encourage it.
01:08:56.000 Charlie F.O.R. Hillsdale.com.
01:08:58.000 You just kind of reminded me of that.
01:09:00.000 Okay, we'll get to the next question.
01:09:02.000 Hi, my name is Nick.
01:09:03.000 I just moved here from Seattle.
01:09:07.000 Right now it feels like a Godforsaken place.
01:09:10.000 And so my question to you is: for me, I felt like I had signs from God to move and that it would be the right decision for me.
01:09:19.000 But would you recommend more people consider leaving the state that they're in if they feel that things aren't being handled well there?
01:09:28.000 You know, Rob, that's actually a question you get a lot.
01:09:32.000 So more people have left the state of California than came there during the dust roll.
01:09:37.000 People are fleeing California.
01:09:39.000 I could take a survey here.
01:09:41.000 Yeah.
01:09:42.000 How many people came here from California?
01:09:44.000 Raise your hand.
01:09:45.000 There you go.
01:09:46.000 Don't ruin their state.
01:09:58.000 Now I understand Congressman McClintock said, what could cause someone to leave the beauty of California for the deserts of Nevada and the wastelands of Texas?
01:10:05.000 He said one thing, bad government.
01:10:08.000 And I'm a third generation Californian, but there are people that have to leave because they can't afford to live there.
01:10:14.000 We have the highest gas tax, sales tax, income tax, corporate tax, everything.
01:10:17.000 We lead in all the worst things.
01:10:21.000 If you were called to something, then go.
01:10:25.000 But if you weren't, stay and fight.
01:10:29.000 Our ancestors that founded this country didn't come looking for gold.
01:10:33.000 They came looking for religious freedom.
01:10:35.000 And they sought what God wanted first, and the rest came later.
01:10:38.000 South America has far more natural resources, but the ones that ended up there were all looking for gold.
01:10:44.000 They established a government that changed the world.
01:10:47.000 Make sure God's telling you what to do.
01:10:50.000 I want to leave California every single day, but I have been called and no one's going to move me but God.
01:11:01.000 So pick that.
01:11:02.000 Beautiful.
01:11:04.000 We can get to a couple more.
01:11:05.000 I know we have a child care deadline, so I want to be, so let's keep them quick.
01:11:09.000 Yeah.
01:11:09.000 Hi, my name is Devin.
01:11:11.000 I've been a nurse for almost a year.
01:11:13.000 And my question is, my hospital is mandating the vaccine, and I'm probably going to be jobless not even a year into my career by November.
01:11:22.000 So how would you suggest that nurses fight this?
01:11:26.000 Yeah, this is, you work for Anthem?
01:11:29.000 I don't want to put you on the healthcare banner.
01:11:29.000 You can't say it.
01:11:32.000 Banner.
01:11:32.000 Yeah.
01:11:33.000 Well, there you go.
01:11:36.000 Yeah.
01:11:36.000 Look, it's, this is, so this is a really, I get really fired up about this, to be perfectly honest with you, especially when healthcare workers want to say no.
01:11:47.000 Maybe listen to them.
01:11:49.000 I thought we're supposed to trust frontline workers, right?
01:11:54.000 And I want to just say, though, that hospitals are not usually able to sustain a business model without massive government support and intervention, right?
01:12:08.000 Medicaid, Medicare, funding.
01:12:11.000 Where are our leaders standing up to say that our frontline workers should be able to be exempt from this mandatory vaccination?
01:12:19.000 I mean, any sort of leader on the federal level.
01:12:22.000 And so, and also at the state levels to a lesser extent.
01:12:27.000 I want to commend you because you've just said out loud that you're willing to stand for truth more than a paycheck.
01:12:35.000 That's a really big deal.
01:12:40.000 And so here's what I'm going to say to the entire world watching out there.
01:12:45.000 There's someone in the healthcare field that owns either a clinic, that owns something that isn't requiring the vaccine.
01:12:54.000 And I want you to repeat your name and I want them to find you and I want them to hire you very quickly because whatever care, you have courage and you're going to be a great worker and employee.
01:13:03.000 And I want everyone out there that's here right now to take a second and realize what you just heard.
01:13:09.000 You went to school to become a nurse.
01:13:11.000 You had to go through residency, right?
01:13:14.000 And now you have a job and employment.
01:13:16.000 And now you're saying, I'm willing to be unemployed, but go pursue righteousness.
01:13:24.000 I want all of us to support people like you.
01:13:30.000 Let me say one more thing.
01:13:31.000 And so whatever you're going to lose, God will bless you as a multiple of that.
01:13:36.000 God will never turn his back on people that stand for righteousness, ever.
01:13:41.000 What is given to the Lord will never be lost, as Rob has said.
01:13:45.000 And if I can ever be personally helpful, seriously, I can send some, you know, just talk to our team after this because you're exactly why this country has hope.
01:13:54.000 Seriously, because you have just said what is right is more important than what is easy.
01:13:59.000 What is good is more important than is pleasurable.
01:14:02.000 And you just blessed me by that because I've said we need more people to actually do that.
01:14:06.000 And so I know some people are saying up front, give me your information.
01:14:10.000 And I can see people giving the little thing there.
01:14:12.000 And Rob, do you want to add on to that?
01:14:14.000 What was your name again?
01:14:15.000 I'm sorry.
01:14:15.000 Devin Williams.
01:14:16.000 Devin.
01:14:17.000 Devin.
01:14:17.000 Devin, were you one of the frontline workers when the pandemic first hit?
01:14:22.000 I started in November.
01:14:24.000 Okay, so you were one of our heroes, huh?
01:14:26.000 Kind of.
01:14:27.000 I work in labor and delivery.
01:14:28.000 Yeah, but you were one of the heroes.
01:14:31.000 Totally a hero.
01:14:32.000 And now we get to punish you by taking your job when you already survived it.
01:14:37.000 Went through it, and now they're saying you don't have a vaccine.
01:14:40.000 So, we not only will people employ her, like Charlie said, if you're an attorney, we're looking for attorneys to step up and defend this mess.
01:14:49.000 Pro bono, liberty.
01:14:53.000 So, it doesn't take everybody, it takes somebody.
01:14:57.000 And I want you to rest easy at night saying, You know what, they might fire me, but I'll be free and I'll be blessed by that.
01:15:03.000 America will be saved by courageous stance like you.
01:15:06.000 I'm going to say, God bless you for that.
01:15:08.000 It's so awesome.
01:15:09.000 So, thank you.
01:15:10.000 All right.
01:15:12.000 Hi, Mr. Kirk.
01:15:13.000 My name's Josh.
01:15:14.000 I'm an 18-year-old high school student.
01:15:16.000 Thank you for what high school?
01:15:17.000 Ironwood High School.
01:15:18.000 It's like 50,000 Thunderbird.
01:15:19.000 Yes, sir.
01:15:20.000 So, I've been blessed by God to have the ability to play golf at a high level, and I'm looking forward to playing NCAA college golf next year.
01:15:27.000 And unfortunately, the NCAA has had some requirements and restrictions with collegiate athletes.
01:15:33.000 And I've had experiences with talking to certain colleges that colleges have cut communications with me because I'm not vaccinated.
01:15:39.000 And I just wanted to know what I can do moving forward with that because it's my dream to play college golf.
01:15:44.000 And I really would enjoy doing that, but I'm not going to give up my liberties to go play college golf.
01:15:49.000 So, hey, Devin, how it's not appropriate to ask how old.
01:15:52.000 Let's just say, you know, 20s or early 30s.
01:15:54.000 I just want every person over the age of 50 to really just pray tonight about what kind of country our kids have to grow up in right now.
01:16:02.000 And I know you all know it.
01:16:04.000 I'm not going to lecture about it, but I want you to pray deeply about this because they're not in the same America you guys grew up in.
01:16:10.000 Not the same America I grew up in.
01:16:12.000 Take an experimental piece of medicine, or you have to uproot your entire life from playing college golf and being a nurse.
01:16:20.000 What?
01:16:22.000 And so, God will show all of us what we can do about it in our own personal way.
01:16:28.000 So, I don't have an easy answer, but I will say that again, being on the live stream, there are colleges that will hopefully be able to carve out some exemptions.
01:16:39.000 The problem is the NCAA.
01:16:40.000 So, here's what leadership would look like: okay, is that we need a governor who's going to say, Hey, NCAA, you're not going to be even close to doing another event in the state of Arizona until you change something like this.
01:16:56.000 We need to start using the political power that has been given from people to start to push back against these institutions because this is not going to stop.
01:17:07.000 So, here you have an 18-year-old.
01:17:08.000 As you can tell how much this fires me up, right?
01:17:11.000 It's so wrong.
01:17:12.000 This is so evil.
01:17:13.000 Like, I can't, that you're saying, I want to play golf.
01:17:16.000 I want to do what's right.
01:17:17.000 I won't even be recruited to go play golf unless I take an experimental piece of medicine.
01:17:21.000 So, here's the one thing that I'm not going to do: I'm not going to give you hopium.
01:17:26.000 Hope, opium, put it together, make you feel good.
01:17:28.000 It's not good for you.
01:17:29.000 That's your term, by the way.
01:17:30.000 I stole it from Robin.
01:17:31.000 Didn't seem to work.
01:17:32.000 Yeah, exactly.
01:17:34.000 I'm going to say the same thing I said earlier: if you believe it, don't compromise in those beliefs.
01:17:41.000 Okay?
01:17:42.000 The Lord will bless you if you stand for righteousness.
01:17:45.000 Do not conform to the pattern of this world.
01:17:49.000 You will be blessed by that.
01:17:50.000 And you're being tried at a young age.
01:17:52.000 You'll become tougher.
01:17:54.000 You'll become better prepared for the future trials to come.
01:17:59.000 And it might be a little bit of a shift from playing college golf in the short term, but you will become a better person because of that.
01:18:06.000 And guess what?
01:18:08.000 All multi,000 people in this room, we have your back for the decision that you're going to make with this.
01:18:13.000 You are not alone.
01:18:14.000 I want to tell you that again.
01:18:16.000 You are not alone.
01:18:17.000 Rob, do you want to add on to that?
01:18:19.000 We have like one minute, so what he said.
01:18:22.000 There you go.
01:18:23.000 And I want to talk to you.
01:18:24.000 I think Lily is here actually.
01:18:27.000 We have a college athlete outreach division at Turning Point USA.
01:18:32.000 And also, we are helping students through our anti-mandatory vaccine push with Callie Shackelford from First Liberty, great guy.
01:18:40.000 And we are getting, I'll tell you a story.
01:18:42.000 University of Notre Dame, I got really fired up about this one.
01:18:45.000 They're making a girl take a vaccine, even though she has a medical history that shows that she has adverse events to vaccines, right?
01:18:50.000 She got paralyzed before.
01:18:52.000 And we got the right people involved, alumni and donors, and they backed off.
01:18:56.000 We are now winning some of these legal challenges representing students.
01:19:00.000 So there's a little bit of hope here.
01:19:02.000 So it's not all bad, but I do want to manage expectations.
01:19:05.000 We are losing more than we're winning.
01:19:07.000 Like they are steamrolling a lot of this stuff.
01:19:09.000 Okay, you will be the final question.
01:19:11.000 And by the way, thank you for being here.
01:19:13.000 And God bless you for your question.
01:19:14.000 You're the final question.
01:19:15.000 Hey, Charlie.
01:19:16.000 Hey, Rob.
01:19:16.000 My name's Andrew.
01:19:17.000 I work as a paramedic locally.
01:19:19.000 I moved here last year to escape the vaccine mandates, the tyrant that was in charge there, and because God had a different plan for my future.
01:19:29.000 To piggyback off the last question, I moved out here hoping to work as a paramedic.
01:19:33.000 And there's now talk that I may not be able to come into my job if I don't get the vaccine.
01:19:38.000 They may not let me come into the hospital to bring in their, bring them patients, and they might even come into our stations and ask us our vaccine status.
01:19:48.000 What do you say to us in this position?
01:19:50.000 How do we go about this the proper way?
01:19:51.000 And how do we do it legally without getting ourselves in trouble?
01:19:55.000 Do you guys see a pattern here?
01:19:58.000 You know, in the 1950s, the final push towards the Civil Rights Act was testimony after testimony.
01:20:06.000 And yes, I'm unafraid to make this comparison.
01:20:08.000 Some people are saying, you can't say that.
01:20:09.000 I will say this.
01:20:11.000 When black people were coming to town halls and they were saying, I can't get a job because of the color of my skin.
01:20:17.000 I can't get a job because of something I can't change.
01:20:20.000 Now they say, well, just get the vaccine.
01:20:22.000 Change that.
01:20:23.000 Go make the medical decision we want.
01:20:25.000 No, that's not.
01:20:25.000 That's not how this works.
01:20:27.000 Okay.
01:20:28.000 A rights-based argument is nowhere near that.
01:20:31.000 I called this on Tucker Carlson's show three weeks ago a very specific term and people went and lost their mind.
01:20:39.000 Medical apartheid.
01:20:42.000 And that's what's being created.
01:20:44.000 You just heard from 320-somethings that are saying, I want to live my life and I can't.
01:20:50.000 So I want to first talk to the audience.
01:20:53.000 If you've been blessed and you're currently either retired or you run a successful business, please go find young people like this and support them and pray for them and counsel them and back them.
01:21:06.000 It is so incredibly and critically important.
01:21:09.000 For you, hold the line as long as you possibly can.
01:21:13.000 Seek that kind of mentorship and that guidance.
01:21:16.000 You will be strengthened and fastened in your faith through this trial.
01:21:20.000 And which paramedic association is at?
01:21:24.000 Which city?
01:21:26.000 The entirety of Phoenix, kind of the whole area.
01:21:28.000 It's a private ambulance.
01:21:29.000 So how about the taxpayers in Phoenix?
01:21:32.000 We rise up in record numbers than ever before, and we say that paramedics should not be forced against their will to get an experimental vaccine.
01:21:40.000 I think we should rise up in big numbers to the city council and say that.
01:21:44.000 So those last three questions, just so you guys know, and you guys can always email me personally, freedom at charliekirk.com.
01:21:51.000 I know we're over time, Joe.
01:21:52.000 I'm wrapping up, I promise.
01:21:53.000 Freedom at charliekirk.com.
01:21:56.000 When people are emailing me, we are getting thousands and thousands of emails like this.
01:22:00.000 We have to push back in record numbers.
01:22:03.000 Rob, I'll let you have the final word.
01:22:05.000 Foolproof medical exemption.
01:22:07.000 It's called the Declaration of Independence.
01:22:10.000 When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary.
01:22:13.000 All of us are going to have to start applying that.
01:22:16.000 It's only a piece of paper unless we stand upon it.
01:22:21.000 Protect this generation.
01:22:23.000 Do your job.
01:22:24.000 And I'm speaking to myself with that finger that I'm pointing.
01:22:27.000 All of us are in this.
01:22:28.000 God bless you.
01:22:29.000 To close all this together, just give another round of applause for Rob.
01:22:33.000 How great was Rob tonight, by the way?
01:22:36.000 To tie all this together, what I love about Freedom Square is that every time people are asking different questions, there's different issues that rise up.
01:22:45.000 Do you notice the first Freedom Square?
01:22:47.000 Critical race theory, critical race theory.
01:22:49.000 This one is like vaccine, vaccine, vaccine.
01:22:51.000 That's what makes this sort of assembly so important.
01:22:54.000 So I want to thank you guys for attending, but then circle the calendar in September.
01:22:58.000 I don't think we have a date yet, right, Joe?
01:22:59.000 Not yet.
01:23:00.000 So we will be announcing it.
01:23:02.000 But let's make September, as all of a sudden people are coming back into town, our biggest Freedom Square yet.
01:23:07.000 Because you know what happened tonight?
01:23:09.000 Tonight, there might have been a nurse that might find a job because of this assembly tonight.
01:23:16.000 What happened tonight is you might have an 18-year-old that's going to stand for righteousness, even though there might be a cost associated.
01:23:21.000 What happened is we found out that someone's running for school board organically because of this gathering.
01:23:27.000 This is making a difference locally and nationally.
01:23:31.000 And so this is a government for the people and by the people.
01:23:34.000 We have to start to seize it back.
01:23:35.000 I want all of you to do a couple things.
01:23:37.000 I want you to pray and maybe even fast the next couple of days what the Lord is telling you to do about these vaccine mandates.
01:23:42.000 Because those last three questions moved me, I'll tell you right now.
01:23:45.000 And I'm a Scott, so I get really emotional really quick.
01:23:48.000 I'm like, oh boy.
01:23:49.000 Number two, please show up locally and make an impact around these sorts of issues, right?
01:23:54.000 The school board won August 24th on the Scottsdale side of it.
01:23:58.000 And finally, learn and dig deep about the tools at your disposal about this: exemptions, the history around it.
01:24:06.000 Become informed and become aware and become involved.
01:24:09.000 So we're going to see you guys again in September.
01:24:11.000 And everybody, the power is with us.
01:24:14.000 As soon as the people in charge realize there's more of us than there are of them, we are going to win.
01:24:22.000 Time to make sure they hear that message.
01:24:24.000 What a great Freedom Square this was.
01:24:26.000 Thank you again to Dream City.
01:24:27.000 You guys are the absolute best.
01:24:29.000 God bless you guys.
01:24:30.000 We'll see you in September.
01:24:31.000 Thanks so much.
01:24:36.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
01:24:37.000 Email us your thoughts, freedom at charliekirk.com.
01:24:40.000 Thank you for supporting our program.
01:24:42.000 God bless you guys.
01:24:43.000 Speak to you soon.
