00:00:01.000 We are close to getting it done in Nebraska, but it's not over yet.
00:00:04.000 There are some calls to action throughout the hour.

00:00:11.000 So that is not the action item.
00:00:13.000 The action item instead is let's get this out of committee.

00:01:40.000 Yesterday, we isolated a big problem.
00:01:43.000 In Nebraska, they appropriate their electoral votes based on congressional district.
00:01:49.000 And also, two of the votes go to who wins the entire state.
00:01:52.000 Joe Biden got one of those electoral votes in 2020.
00:01:55.000 Obama got one of them in 2008.
00:01:58.000 We were playing around on 271.com and I didn't see any real Republican focus or effort to try to get this done.
00:02:05.000 So we decided to make a point of it.
00:02:07.000 You decided to make a point out of it.
00:02:10.000 Now, this is far from over.
00:02:12.000 The fight is on, everybody.
00:02:14.000 But what happened yesterday was one of the great movements that we've seen in quite some time.
00:02:20.000 The power of this audience, the power of all of you that picked up your phones, that decided to let your voice be heard, in particular, those of you in Nebraska.
00:02:31.000 We sent out a tweet yesterday saying that Nebraska needs to fix this.
00:02:34.000 This is a way to guarantee Donald Trump gets another electoral vote.
00:02:38.000 It guarantees another vote to make Donald Trump more likely to become the 47th president of the United States.
00:02:44.000 It opens up Nevada.
00:02:45.000 It opens up different pathways.
00:02:47.000 And if you're trying to win the presidency, you want as many options as possible.
00:02:52.000 Our working theory on this program is that the Rust Belt elected Donald Trump in 2016, and the Sunbelt very well might elect Donald Trump in 2024.
00:03:03.000 It stops giving Democrats a free electoral vote in a red state in every election indefinitely.
00:03:09.000 So we decided to make a point out of it.
00:03:10.000 And the governor of Nebraska, to his great credit, Governor Pillin, came out and said, I support this bill and I will sign it.
00:03:18.000 That came out of nowhere, but it came from you.
00:03:21.000 It came from the grassroots.
00:03:23.000 It came from the people.
00:03:24.000 President Trump, a couple hours later, came out and said, I love this bill.
00:03:28.000 Let's sign this.
00:03:30.000 Let's get this done.
00:03:31.000 Let's make this happen.
00:03:33.000 And now all eyes and the eyes of the nation are on the unicameral Nebraska legislature.
00:03:41.000 We have to get this out of committee and get it to a floor vote.
00:03:45.000 Now, they're doing a lot of different excuses right now.
00:03:48.000 We have to keep on calling.
00:03:50.000 We have to keep the pressure on.
00:03:52.000 We have to respectfully state our case.
00:03:54.000 We're going to share all the phone numbers for LB764.
00:03:59.000 Again, some of the excuses they say is, oh, we're running out of time.
00:04:02.000 No, no, no, we're not going to put up with these excuses.
00:04:04.000 Running out of time, extend the session.
00:04:05.000 Oh, it's not a priority bill.
00:04:06.000 We'll make it a priority bill.
00:04:08.000 There is no reason why this cannot become law.
00:04:11.000 People are trying to make excuses for why this can't happen using legislative procedure.
00:04:16.000 Here's the truth.
00:04:16.000 Unless the Nebraska Constitution explicitly says they can't do this, they're just lying or they're being lazy.
00:04:24.000 So let's turn these people into potential heroes.
00:04:28.000 Nebraska, you have the opportunity to save the Republic.
00:04:32.000 Did you think I was going to say that?
00:04:33.000 For those of you in blood red Nebraska, that you have an opportunity to save this beautiful country.
00:04:42.000 I get asked all the time, Charlie, how are we going to save the country?
00:04:45.000 How are we going to save the republic?
00:04:48.000 Well, here is an opportunity.
00:04:50.000 So, first and foremost, I think that if you live in Nebraska, you absolutely need to contact, and I'll give you the two names.
00:04:57.000 Now, if you're out of state, it could go either way.
00:05:01.000 So, I would be careful.
00:05:03.000 I would be super polite.
00:05:04.000 I would introduce yourself as an out-of-state citizen and a proud patriot because I see it both ways, because this is not really a Nebraska issue.
00:05:11.000 In some ways, it is, but it's really a national issue.
00:05:13.000 It's a future of America issue.
00:05:15.000 So, if you call from out of state, I think you should say, hey, I don't live in Nebraska, but I have such great respect for Nebraska.
00:05:20.000 And my two cents are that I think that we need to get this fixed.
00:05:24.000 And I hope you guys do.
00:05:26.000 The two individuals that really this is weighing on, because the governor will sign it, President Trump is behind it, is Senator Ray Aguilar and Senator Rita Sanders.
00:05:37.000 These two individuals can become heroes.
00:05:40.000 Now, I'm going to share these phone numbers, but if you're out of state, it's especially important to be respectful.
00:05:46.000 The last thing that we want to do is for annoying people to call from out of state and start bullying them and telling them what to do.
00:05:55.000 This could backfire significantly.
00:05:57.000 So, if you don't feel as if that you're equipped to do that on the phone, then don't do it.
00:06:01.000 You can also email.
00:06:02.000 We're going to put up all the information on screen.
00:06:04.000 Can we put it up, please?
00:06:05.000 For Senator Aguilar and Senator Sanders.
00:06:08.000 What happened yesterday is so significant that MSNBC led with it, Politico led with it.
00:06:14.000 This was brought from the dead.
00:06:17.000 And you better believe the Democrats are now mobilizing all of their forces to try to block this.
00:06:22.000 So, it is game on.
00:06:23.000 This program, this show, you can make this happen.
00:06:28.000 It's not there yet.
00:06:30.000 There should be no popping of champagne.
00:06:32.000 But the fact the governor said he's going to sign it and he's voicing support of it is a major win.
00:06:37.000 God bless you, Governor Pillen.
00:06:38.000 You're doing the right thing.
00:06:39.000 And now we just need to encourage some of these state lawmakers to get it done.
00:06:43.000 They will be heroes.
00:06:45.000 They will be nationwide household names.
00:06:48.000 So let's score.
00:06:49.000 We're in the red zone.
00:06:51.000 Here is MSNBC this morning.
00:06:54.000 They woke up in response to what the Charlie Kirk show program did, in response to what you, the grassroots, did.
00:07:00.000 You spoke out.
00:07:01.000 You allowed your voice to be heard.
00:07:04.000 Again, this thing was dead on the operating table.
00:07:06.000 It was flatlining.
00:07:08.000 No one thought this thing had a snowball chance in hell.
00:07:12.000 And you brought it back to life.
00:07:13.000 And now Democrat operatives from San Francisco to Seattle to LA to Chicago to Boston to D.C. are freaking out because this changes the entire electoral math for Joe Biden.
00:07:25.000 If Nebraska gets this done, Joe Biden's path becomes harder.
00:07:30.000 Don't take my word for it.
00:07:31.000 MSNBC laying it out, saying if Nebraska acts, Joe Biden cannot win the presidency just by rebuilding the blue wall.
00:07:40.000 That's how big this is.
00:07:41.000 Play Cut 59.
00:07:42.000 So, Jim, it is never too early to talk about 270, the magic number.
00:07:46.000 And there's some development.
00:07:47.000 Let's talk about the map.
00:07:48.000 Yeah, let's talk about the map for a second because there's a buzzing about certain about Nebraska right now.
00:07:52.000 The governor there has thrown his support behind an effort that would no longer allocate the electoral votes by a congressional district.
00:07:58.000 Right now, it's five votes there.
00:08:00.000 Technically, Republicans get four, and President Biden, Democrats get the one from Omaha.
00:08:04.000 If that changes, and we don't know that it will, the state legislature is going to look at it.
00:08:07.000 But if that changes, that takes away Biden's best path to win.
00:08:11.000 Because if you get, if he wins, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, but loses the other swing states and no longer picks up the one in Nebraska, 269, that leads playbook this morning, the alarm among Democrats that this is possible.
00:08:27.000 Oh, it's possible.
00:08:28.000 And the alarm is on because they know that Nebraska is deep red.
00:08:32.000 We just got an email from one of our listeners.
00:08:33.000 We're trying to independently confirm this.
00:08:35.000 Jonathan says, Charlie, I called both senators.
00:08:37.000 Both people were nice.
00:08:39.000 Aguilar's office says he supports winner-take-all.
00:08:42.000 If that is true, God bless you, Aguilar.
00:08:44.000 Please move this through committee.
00:08:46.000 And Aguilar, you're a great patriot.
00:08:49.000 Seriously.
00:08:50.000 Welcome on this program anytime.
00:08:52.000 He is the one that controls this bill in committee right now, based on all of our information that we've gotten out of Nebraska.
00:09:00.000 And history will remember you fondly.
00:09:03.000 And so if that's true, Senator Aguilar, we will be very thankful for your service to this republic.
00:09:11.000 And so I hope that is true.
00:09:13.000 And so for those of you that might be calling, Senator Aguilar or whatever, any of these individuals that we're not quite sure, insiders are telling us they might be holding it up, just be super sweet.
00:09:22.000 Just say, hey, I encourage you.
00:09:23.000 If you are out of state, email.
00:09:25.000 If you're out of state, let's not call.
00:09:25.000 Please.
00:09:27.000 If you're in state, please call and let your voice be heard.
00:09:32.000 But understand that your style is just as important as substance.
00:09:39.000 No one wants to have angry calls coming at them.
00:09:41.000 Okay?
00:09:43.000 We're getting a lot of feedback here.
00:09:46.000 So if you're out of state, I encourage emailing.
00:09:48.000 If you're in state, I encourage calling.
00:09:52.000 Let's get this thing across the finish line.
00:09:54.000 The left is completely scrambling right now.
00:09:57.000 Feels good, doesn't it?
00:09:58.000 Usually we're the ones scrambling.
00:10:00.000 It all happened here on this program.
00:10:02.000 You did this.
00:10:03.000 If we get this done, this makes history.
00:10:05.000 This permanently changes electoral math.
00:10:07.000 It's a big deal, everybody.
00:10:09.000 So let's get this thing done.
00:10:11.000 Let's move it to completion.
00:10:13.000 No excuses.
00:10:17.000 You all know how your tax dollars have been used to push progressive politics in public schools, while math and English scores decline.
00:10:24.000 For years, America's biggest asset managers have been doing the same thing, using your retirement savings to push their politics, their DEI and ESG agenda.
00:10:33.000 Without your consent and at your expense, there's an alternative.
00:10:37.000 At Strive, we put shareholders first.
00:10:39.000 Maximizing your returns is our only agenda.
00:10:42.000 To learn more, visit Strive.com now.
00:10:45.000 That's Strive.com.
00:10:49.000 You know, some of the insiders are sending messages like, okay, the bill is on the general file and the lineup for bills not prioritized.
00:10:56.000 With our time left and eight bills that are prioritized ahead, we will not get to it.
00:10:59.000 I'm a huge proponent of winner-take-all and have always moved it.
00:11:02.000 Enough of these excuses.
00:11:02.000 We'll just get to it.
00:11:03.000 This parliamentarian stuff, you just got to bulldoze through that.
00:11:08.000 There's no way to change priority in Nebraska that's BS.
00:11:10.000 The governor doesn't agree.
00:11:12.000 The Nebraska state party chair is going to come through.
00:11:14.000 You're trying to tell me that if there was a crisis in Nebraska, a natural disaster, they couldn't pass a bill quickly.
00:11:21.000 That if there was some sort of urgent measure, this is urgent.
00:11:24.000 You have a regime that's destroying the country and Nebraska is about to send one of their electoral votes in a goofy way that only one of the state does.
00:11:31.000 I understand there's probably a lot of stuff that they got to get done.
00:11:33.000 They probably have to, you know, do budgeting and taxes and all sorts of, I get all that.
00:11:37.000 But we're talking about the Republic here and the eyes of the nation are now in Nebraska.
00:11:42.000 And I mean, I'll listen to all of your parliamentarian excuses.
00:11:46.000 Now, just so we're clear, Mr. Aguilar is now a yes on winner-take-all, which is huge, everybody.
00:11:52.000 So I think we can temporarily suspend the phone calls to Aguilar's office.
00:11:58.000 If you want to call them, say thank you and try to ask, hey, how can we help?
00:12:01.000 What's the path forward?
00:12:04.000 What are the impediments to this?
00:12:07.000 And again, we're kind of doing this live and in real time, everybody.
00:12:12.000 And we're going to be calling next Tuesday, hopefully to celebrate.
00:12:14.000 But if we have to go to Tuesday to try to usher this thing along, then so be it.
00:12:19.000 And we're not going to take any of these excuses.
00:12:21.000 Here's the thing: you have the votes.
00:12:22.000 You have the governor.
00:12:23.000 Let's get it done.
00:12:25.000 This, oh, you know, it's a not-priority bill and there's eight other bills.
00:12:28.000 This is so foreign to me.
00:12:30.000 This is why people don't like politicians, to be honest.
00:12:33.000 But hey, we have an opportunity for these politicians to figure it out.
00:12:35.000 It's really not that complicated, guys.
00:12:37.000 It's not.
00:12:38.000 We don't have to overthink it and get too deep into, oh, you know, we're not going to get to this session.
00:12:44.000 Cut that nonsense.
00:12:45.000 Enough of that.
00:12:48.000 That dog's not going to hunt.
00:12:50.000 Politico.com, the lead story.
00:12:54.000 Watch this space.
00:12:55.000 Nebraska governor Jim Pillan yesterday threw his support behind a bill that would deliver all five of the state's electoral votes to the state white winner of the presidential race rather than allocating them by congressional district political rights.
00:13:06.000 It could shake up the presidential election.
00:13:08.000 Joe Biden, for Joe Biden, it would take away his easiest path to 270.
00:13:13.000 Win the blue wall, states of Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania plus one electoral vote from Metro Omaha.
00:13:17.000 Pillen's announcement came under pressure from MAGA activist Charlie Kirk, though Nebraska Democrats tell semaphores Dave Weigel they're confident the bill won't pass the legislative session that ends next week.
00:13:27.000 Do note, quote, the Democrat majority legislature in Maine, the other state with piecemeal electoral voting, also ends the session next week.
00:13:33.000 Okay.
00:13:34.000 Well, the Democrats are confident.
00:13:35.000 Let's prove them wrong.
00:13:36.000 It's a red state.
00:13:37.000 We have the numbers.
00:13:39.000 And not only do we have the numbers, a old school Democrat who's a socially conservative Democrat in Nebraska, he just switched parties.
00:13:47.000 We now have the ability for this to pass without a filibuster in Nebraska.
00:13:52.000 McDonnell switches parties live from Nebraska.
00:13:55.000 State Senator Mike McDonnell tells NCN, which I imagine is Nebraska Conservative News Network or something, quote, today I am changing my party affiliation to Republican, adding the Democrat Party has, quote, decided to punish me for being pro-life.
00:14:11.000 So far, no word on his future political plans.
00:14:14.000 We have the chair of the Nebraska GOP coming on next.
00:14:19.000 Here's the thing.
00:14:20.000 We did not, I don't do well with excuses.
00:14:24.000 We don't build turning point, turning point action, do all this stuff when I get told that, you know, it's eighth in line for priority.
00:14:30.000 That's not going to work, guys.
00:14:31.000 And by the way, the people of Nebraska, they don't think that way.
00:14:31.000 I'm sorry.
00:14:34.000 Nebraska football did not get the prominence in its heyday with excuses.
00:14:38.000 Oh, sorry, we can't win the national title.
00:14:41.000 We're just, you know, measly in Nebraska.
00:14:42.000 We can never compete against Ohio State.
00:14:44.000 That's not the Nebraska attitude.
00:14:45.000 Cut that out.
00:14:47.000 That's not what made Nebraska the great football power of the 70s, 80s.
00:14:53.000 No, no, no.
00:14:54.000 By the way, you know how many great patriots are in Nebraska that don't share that view?
00:14:58.000 Oh, sorry, you know, we can't do that.
00:15:01.000 And then a couple politicians saying we can't get to it.
00:15:03.000 You just got to cut through that nonsense.
00:15:05.000 Patriots in Nebraska are some of the greatest on the planet in the country.
00:15:10.000 They're patriotic.
00:15:11.000 They're faithful.
00:15:12.000 They're fervent.
00:15:14.000 And I think we're going to get this done.
00:15:16.000 I think that if we keep the pressure on, again, I guarantee you right now, Democrats are flying in operatives right now to Omaha, into Lincoln, to try to do some dark arts.
00:15:27.000 The fact that MSNBC tells you that this could disrupt Joe Biden's pass to the White House, that right there, signed, sealed, and delivered.
00:15:34.000 They're telling you that this could actually hurt the Democrat chances.
00:15:39.000 So do we want to win?
00:15:40.000 And I think the answer is yes.
00:15:41.000 I think the people of Nebraska want to win.
00:15:42.000 We just got to fix a couple things in the legislature.
00:15:44.000 Just got to kind of iron out some of these excuses.
00:15:47.000 We've been through much tougher than that.
00:15:50.000 This all can be fixed.
00:15:53.000 Okay, Kirk fans, I need you to stop and pay attention to this.
00:15:57.000 If you deal with exhaustion, brain fog, mood swings, or food cravings, if you're constantly getting sick or simply lack the zeal you used to have in life, then I have some news for you.
00:16:06.000 While back, I found a liquid supplement called Strong Cell, and it changed my health in a very profound way.
00:16:12.000 I take it every single day.
00:16:15.000 Look, I knew I had to partner with them.
00:16:16.000 I did the research.
00:16:17.000 Google and look up online what happens when you mix NADH with CoQ10 and marine collagen.
00:16:23.000 It's simple.
00:16:24.000 Every area of your body has cells.
00:16:26.000 So if your cells are healthier, then you will also be healthier.
00:16:29.000 You don't have to take my word for it.
00:16:31.000 Listen to one of these testimonials.
00:16:32.000 After taking Strong Cell for six weeks, I found improvement in many areas, less shoulder pain, improved mental clarity, increased natural energy, and so much more.
00:16:39.000 I'm thankful that Charlie Kirk recommended this to his listeners.
00:16:42.000 Rebecca says, I absolutely love Strong Cell.
00:16:45.000 At first, I didn't think it would make much of a difference for my chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, but I thought I'd give it a chance.
00:16:50.000 I've tried to find depression meds for 10 years, and since you Strong Cell, I'm feeling better than I ever have on depression medication.
00:16:58.000 Customer for life, thank you, Charlie Kirk, for recommending this product.
00:17:01.000 So there it is.
00:17:02.000 You've heard from me directly and some of the users who have seen their lives changed by Strong Cell.
00:17:07.000 I personally recommend taking it every day for at least 30 days.
00:17:11.000 I take it every day before I go on the air, and it's helped me in more ways than I can even name.
00:17:15.000 Each of our bodies is very different.
00:17:16.000 So I would recommend you give the supplement at least two to three months to see the changes in your body.
00:17:22.000 Go to strongcell.com and learn more for yourself.

00:17:48.000 Joining us now is the state party chair of the state of Nebraska, Eric Underwood.
00:17:53.000 Eric, welcome to the program.
00:17:54.000 Eric, why?
00:17:56.000 Hey, Charlie, how are you?
00:17:57.000 Great.
00:17:57.000 So give us the update from the ground in Nebraska.
00:18:01.000 What do we need to do to get this thing done?
00:18:03.000 Well, you've been doing a lot of what I was hoping to have done there.
00:18:06.000 By you bringing in the outside influence is what's going to make a big difference here.
00:18:11.000 We found that this bill, the winner-take-all, has not only national attention and national effect.
00:18:19.000 It affects us here in Nebraska more than we ever realized.
00:18:22.000 Many of the senators that are at the unicameral would not have to fight so much Democratic money if this one electoral vote wasn't given away to the Democrat.
00:18:31.000 So what we need to do is understand that the unicameral is a one lawmaking body in Nebraska.
00:18:36.000 So you've got 49 individuals that decide.
00:18:39.000 In this situation, we've got to get 32 to 33 of them to get through our filibuster, and then they can move this bill through and get it signed to the desk of our governor, Jim Pillan, who has already said that he's going to vote for it.
00:18:51.000 Right now it's in a committee.
00:18:52.000 That committee needs to vote it out so it can have debate on the floor.
00:18:56.000 That's the first step.
00:18:57.000 So what is the action item for the committee?
00:19:00.000 Mr. Aguilar has now said he supports this, which is great.
00:19:03.000 He has pointed us to now Tom Brewer.
00:19:05.000 Is that correct?
00:19:07.000 So Senator Brewer is the committee chair, and the committee chair then helps plan the agenda for any subcommittees that go through there.
00:19:14.000 Most of our committees have seven or eight individuals that would be voting on to get it through.
00:19:18.000 If Senator Aguilar and Senator Sanders are in agreement with this, that would make it a 6-2 vote to move this bill to the floor.
00:19:25.000 So respectfully, and I have a great relationship with Senator Brewer.
00:19:29.000 I think that this is something that they can help get done to move this out of committee and then get it back onto the floor.
00:19:35.000 And that's where the interesting time comes of our process, where it'll have to be voted on three times by a minimum of 25 people to pass it each time.
00:19:45.000 But we have to deal with the filibuster.
00:19:47.000 To break that filibuster, we need 33 votes.
00:19:50.000 And as you just appropriately said, we have one more Republican unicameral senator as of today.
00:19:57.000 That is huge and breaking.
00:19:59.000 So there's another objection that some of these senators are saying.
00:20:02.000 They're saying that it's not a priority bill and they don't have time to get to it.
00:20:07.000 That just sounds like a bunch of wonky nonsense to me.
00:20:11.000 Explain.
00:20:12.000 Well, you know, when it looks at our legislative session, this is a 60-day session.
00:20:16.000 We had a 90-day session last year.
00:20:18.000 But you made the point, and I think it's appropriate.
00:20:20.000 If there was an emergency, how do we get something through here?
00:20:24.000 There comes a point where you have to decide what the priority is.
00:20:26.000 And both politically, but also what would help us nationally when it comes to whoever the Republican candidate's going to be.
00:20:32.000 And we know who that's going to be, President Trump.
00:20:35.000 This is a great move to help us.
00:20:37.000 And you can tell that the Democrats are absolutely going insane over this.
00:20:41.000 Politically, in Nebraska, that means that we're not going to have $8 million go through the Democratic coffers like it did in 2020.
00:20:49.000 $8 million.
00:20:50.000 We have over 250 outside individuals that donate to the Democratic Party, like George Soros and Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg.
00:20:59.000 Those individuals are affecting Nebraska politics.
00:21:02.000 Why?
00:21:03.000 They care about Omaha or Sarpi, other counties that are in Douglas or in Congressional District 2.
00:21:09.000 No, they care about the fact that there's one electoral vote.
00:21:12.000 So if we can move this to the floor and you can get 33 senators to automatically just vote for cloture, which bypassed the filibuster, we could move this through if they wanted to, but they have to make it a priority.
00:21:24.000 And that's a priority in the sense that this is important priority.
00:21:28.000 So it can be done.
00:21:29.000 Just to be clear, there's no provision that disallows this from becoming law.
00:21:35.000 Is that correct?
00:21:36.000 Procedurally, they could make this happen if they pushed this forward.
00:21:39.000 If they came together, if they coalesced, and obviously with the governor's support, he wouldn't veto it.
00:21:44.000 He's shown that he wants this to be one of his priority finishes to this congressional district or to this Senate unicameral session, as well as the fact that we could also continue into a special session if we want to.
00:21:58.000 We're not done.
00:21:59.000 This can be done.
00:22:00.000 They just have to make that choice.
00:22:02.000 And again, you've said it very appropriately.
00:22:04.000 When we build relationships with our lawmakers, when the party, the people of the party work together with the lawmakers, that's when you're going to get more things done.
00:22:13.000 So I would respectfully ask Nebraskans, as you indicated, we have 600,000 Republicans versus 300,000 Democrats.
00:22:20.000 600,000 Republicans could call up Senator Brewer and the 32, now 33 senators, and say, we really want this to happen.
00:22:29.000 And if we do that, I think we could make this happen.
00:22:32.000 And I think that's happening.
00:22:34.000 We want it to be done respectfully and we want it to be done politely and persuasively.
00:22:39.000 But I think that the energy is increasing.
00:22:44.000 So I just want to reiterate, everybody, any excuse you might hear about how it is not a priority or there's other bills, there is no procedural reason.
00:22:54.000 There is no provision in the Constitution that says that this bill cannot become law.
00:23:01.000 Does it require a prioritization?
00:23:04.000 Maybe.
00:23:05.000 Does it require energy?
00:23:06.000 But this is a question of the will.
00:23:08.000 And let's just localize this because I'm looking at this nationally and I want to reiterate what you're saying.
00:23:14.000 This keeps outside San Francisco and New York money out of Nebraska, correct?
00:23:20.000 100%.
00:23:21.000 And that's why we put it on our political plan.
00:23:23.000 We're constitutionally required to make a political plan and a legislative plan.
00:23:27.000 It really hasn't been done in the past where the party and the legislators would work together.
00:23:32.000 So this is a relationship we had to massage over the last 18 months and under my administration.
00:23:37.000 But the people of the party have become so energized, so empowered.
00:23:42.000 Even this year alone, our county conventions have doubled in the amount of delegates that are showing up to these county conventions.
00:23:48.000 Why?
00:23:49.000 Because they see exactly what you're talking about.
00:23:50.000 This country has many problems that need to be fixed, many concerns.
00:23:55.000 And Nebraska is not a flyover state.
00:23:57.000 We can make a difference.
00:23:59.000 So this is what we're trying to do.
00:24:01.000 When we start to work together with legislators and the people of the party come together, we can get things to happen here.
00:24:07.000 So politically, this was a part of our plan.
00:24:09.000 It was actually in our political plan that we would do a 32 plus one plan.
00:24:15.000 32 Republicans and ideally one Democrat that would believe that this is the right movement forward.
00:24:19.000 Well, now that's a 33 plan to get any bill and any conservative driven mindset through.
00:24:26.000 We have the same challenges when it comes to abortion.
00:24:28.000 We were able to get those pro-life bills moved last year.
00:24:32.000 We were able to protect 19-year-olds last year from having doing just transgender surgeries.
00:24:38.000 We were able to do all that together.
00:24:40.000 But I'm going to be honest with you.
00:24:41.000 What happened is the moment that this party decided to also support America First candidates, there started to become a separation.
00:24:49.000 And so that's why we need to get back to what is our values.
00:24:53.000 It's written in the Nebraska platform that we want the unicameral to change it to a winner-take-all.
00:24:59.000 So if that's what our platform says, isn't that something that we should honor?
00:25:03.000 We decided to come together as the party and say that the central committee voted on the legislative plan to make this happen.
00:25:09.000 We also wanted to make some of the unicameral changes to the rules so that this sort of stuff wouldn't happen where you get through a 60-day session and you have an opportunity that you can make this move forward.
00:25:20.000 They can suspend the rules.
00:25:21.000 They can make things happen.
00:25:23.000 We just have to realize that this is for the good of the country and be okay with being bold.
00:25:28.000 That's really what this is the time for.
00:25:30.000 If we aren't bold, then we're going to lose our country.
00:25:31.000 That's 100% what I would say the call to action right now for all grassroots, all lawmakers.
00:25:36.000 It's time to be bold.
00:25:38.000 And I can't imagine you're receiving a lot of objections here because the momentum is really significant, right?
00:25:43.000 It's for the good of the state.
00:25:46.000 What counter arguments are you receiving that we just don't have time?
00:25:49.000 I think that's rubbish.
00:25:51.000 Well, and that would be, you know, the relationship where I can call them up or text message these senators and say, let's make this work.
00:25:56.000 I started this timeline for this plan over eight, nine months ago, including with Senator Lippincott, who's the one that drafted the bill.
00:26:04.000 I asked him to be able to prioritize it so it could be pulled instantly out of committee and not have to go through that.
00:26:09.000 He just wasn't able to do that this year.
00:26:11.000 And I understand that he's got many other voices that are with him.
00:26:15.000 But I even went to the RNC last year, Charlie.
00:26:18.000 I had a meeting with Rona McDaniel and said, I think this is something that's going to happen.
00:26:22.000 I think this is something that can happen, but I need outside help.
00:26:26.000 And I was basically told that it wasn't much of importance.
00:26:30.000 And so when you start to look at how I was going to influence this, I continued to use the volume of people.
00:26:36.000 And now with what happened over the last 24 hours and your efforts, and as you were talking with Steve Bannon today, that effort of activating the grassroots have multiplied this a million fold.
00:26:47.000 I could never have imagined this happening.
00:26:49.000 Praise God.
00:26:49.000 But in the end, that's.
00:26:50.000 No, I just want to repeat that.
00:26:52.000 Exactly.
00:26:52.000 Praise God.
00:26:53.000 Just under the prior RNC leadership who's gone, they said that another electoral vote for Republicans wasn't a big deal.
00:27:01.000 It was indicated that they couldn't do much from their level and they really couldn't support me more than just she might talk with one or two elected officials here and see if there was any interest in it.
00:27:10.000 That's what I was told.
00:27:12.000 Well, we have a different attitude around here.
00:27:15.000 So I've noticed that about you.
00:27:17.000 That's why I attended your RNC meeting before the last RNC meeting because, and I speak very, very highly of the fact that we are looking at relational organizing.
00:27:26.000 I do a coffee with chairman newsletter every week.
00:27:29.000 And the fact that Nebraska has been archaic in the idea of connecting to the people at the door.
00:27:34.000 And that's really where I think the influence is changing in Nebraska.
00:27:37.000 You no longer have one person or two people bringing all in multi-millions of dollars, campaign consultants deciding what Republican values are.
00:27:46.000 You have the people with a greater voice.
00:27:48.000 And this is key in this populous world that we're living in, where people are driven to be a part of a difference.
00:27:54.000 They don't want kingmakers, they want to be difference makers.
00:27:57.000 You want to know the way that you get them more involved?
00:27:59.000 Let them have a voice.
00:28:01.000 I love it.
00:28:01.000 Give them the opportunity, provide them resources, provide them education.
00:28:05.000 We did a parliamentarian training class, and we had people from outside the state, North Dakota, come and zoom in to the parliamentarian class.
00:28:12.000 Because the more educated the grassroots are, the more empowered they are to do this through the process.
00:28:18.000 And so, our concept here is to honor the Constitution and defend the platform.
00:28:23.000 And we are looking at getting constitutional and platform Republican CPRs because CPRs will revive this party.
00:28:33.000 Okay, Eric Underwood continues.
00:28:35.000 In Nebraska, if you live in Nebraska, please call Senator Brewer's number.
00:28:39.000 It is 402-471-2628 and respectfully request that a vote get scheduled for this legislation to get out of committee.
00:28:48.000 Eric, I want you to continue.
00:28:49.000 You said we're losing the country, and all eyes are on Nebraska right now.
00:28:53.000 You wouldn't have had that on your bingo cart a week ago.
00:28:56.000 No, but it would have been, it was part of the plan, I would say, that I've been hoping for and trying to drive for.
00:29:02.000 Having LB 764 just magically pop up is not because of what we didn't prepare for.
00:29:09.000 I believe in being proactive.
00:29:11.000 I've been having conversations for the last eight months trying to prepare for some scenario such as this to happen, as I indicated with the RNC, with multiple people at the RNC, because I also thought if it did come up, it would make national news.
00:29:25.000 I don't want Nebraska to be the flyover state.
00:29:26.000 The whole reason that we had Kerry Lake here at the beginning of this year is because I wanted to get as close as we could to the presidential nomination.
00:29:33.000 Nebraska's primary doesn't happen until May 14th.
00:29:36.000 And I think Nebraskans want to be a part of the equation.
00:29:38.000 They want to be a part of being difference makers.
00:29:41.000 I've got a very strong grassroots group here.
00:29:44.000 They're leading this state.
00:29:46.000 And even more so, people call a lot from other states, other counties.
00:29:51.000 Chairman are calling the people here, going, Tell us how you did it.
00:29:54.000 And people will say to me, Eric, how'd you do it?
00:29:56.000 I didn't do it.
00:29:58.000 The people of Nebraska have done it.
00:30:00.000 We went from having 2,000 county convention delegates two years ago to over 4,000 this year across our 93 counties because people are ready to be involved.
00:30:09.000 Now, here's the thing: at some point, somewhere when your voice starts to get active here, there has to be a coalescing.
00:30:16.000 There has to be the unity that people speak of, but it has to be around our values and not candidates or incumbents.
00:30:22.000 And that's a challenge that's happening right now in our party.
00:30:25.000 If an incumbent is not endorsed, if we start to look at America first individuals, such as Dan Fry or John Glenn Weaver or John Walls, if that happens, then we might get a stagnation, a break of the relationships when it comes to our ability to unify on the values.
00:30:43.000 And I don't understand that.
00:30:45.000 It boggles my mind because we're losing the country over personalities, not over our values.
00:30:51.000 We have the right values.
00:30:52.000 And again, as I mentioned, in Nebraska, we have 600,000 Republicans to 300,000 Democrats.
00:30:57.000 We have all five federal officers, four constitutional officers, governor, lieutenant, governor.
00:31:01.000 We have 32, now 33 out of the 49 lawmakers, but yet there's 900 elected Democrats in Nebraska.
00:31:08.000 How did that happen?
00:31:09.000 And in 2017, there were only 500, and they aren't in the highest positions.
00:31:14.000 They're taking over slowly the areas that will affect the culture the most.
00:31:18.000 Our school systems, we have 244 school boards, our board of education, our UNL regions.
00:31:24.000 And so, how do you fix this?
00:31:26.000 The first thing you have to do is create stability.
00:31:28.000 When we took over the party in July 9th of 2022, we kind of called that our Independence Day in Nebraska.
00:31:33.000 When we took the party over, the first thing that we started to focus on was creating the stability at the county level.
00:31:38.000 We developed a precinct concept here in Lancaster County because it made sense.
00:31:42.000 Build a relationship over time, not six months before an election, hoping for money and their votes.
00:31:49.000 That's not how anybody makes any relationship happen because the biggest part of that relationship has to be about trust.
00:31:56.000 And that doesn't happen in six months, it happens over time.
00:31:59.000 And so, that's what's happening this year.
00:32:01.000 Finally, the people in Nebraska are trusting the values of the party will be implemented if the right leaders are there.
00:32:06.000 And we have the right leaders at the unicameral.
00:32:09.000 I'm going to be 100% honest with you.
00:32:11.000 We have the right leaders at the unicameral with the right guy.
00:32:13.000 So, if that's the case, if that's the right case, Eric, then there should be nothing left that is getting in the way.
00:32:18.000 We have Donald Trump's support, the nominee's support, we have your support, the governor's support.
00:32:23.000 What we're going to do is we're going to continue to have those respectful conversations and we're going to move through the parliamentarian, the procedural process, and we're going to see where this ends up.
00:32:31.000 And we're going to find out whether or not our Republican senators believe that they can be difference makers as well.
00:32:40.000 And that's what you're going to see happen.
00:32:41.000 And the people are supporting them.
00:32:42.000 That's what happened last year.
00:32:44.000 We would come 400 to 500 at a time to those subcommittee hearings, and they will support senators that adhere to these values.
00:32:51.000 That's the whole point of this party is to have values, and therefore we must be held accountable to those.
00:32:57.000 Eric, thank you so much.
00:32:59.000 God bless you and see you next time.
00:33:00.000 Thank you, Charlie.
00:33:01.000 Thank you.
