00:00:14.000 If the most important thing for you is just feeling good, you're going to end up miserable.
00:00:19.000 But if the most important thing is doing good, you'll end up purposeful.
00:00:24.000 College is a scam, everybody.
00:00:26.000 You got to stop sending your kids to college.
00:00:27.000 You should get married as young as possible and have as many kids as possible.

00:00:41.000 Most important decision I ever made in my life.
00:00:43.000 And I encourage you to do the same.
00:00:45.000 Here I am.
00:00:46.000 Lord use me.
00:00:48.000 Buckle up, everybody.
00:00:49.000 Here we go.
00:00:56.000 The Charlie Kirk Show is proudly sponsored by Preserve Gold, the leading gold and silver experts and the only precious metals company I recommend to my family, friends, and viewers.
00:01:09.000 All right, welcome back to the Charlie Kirk Show, hour two of our first show back in the new year.
00:01:14.000 Never been so excited to see the calendar flip from 2025 to 2026, the new year.
00:01:23.000 Lots to cover.
00:01:25.000 And we have, I think, the most important journalist from the state of Minnesota and one of the most important journalists in the country.
00:01:31.000 She did the fall of Minneapolis, which is truly important following the George Floyd riots.
00:01:37.000 And she's a senior reporter from Alpha News, Liz Collin from Minneapolis, Minnesota, or at least thereabouts.
00:01:44.000 Liz, welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:01:45.000 It's good to see you again.
00:01:47.000 Hi, you guys.
00:01:47.000 Happy New Year.
00:01:48.000 Good to see you as well.
00:01:49.000 Thanks for having me a lot on here.
00:01:52.000 A lot to talk about.
00:01:53.000 Yeah, I mean, we actually had reached out to you.
00:01:56.000 I know Blake and you were talking about.
00:01:57.000 Back and forth.
00:01:58.000 You're in high demand lately.
00:01:58.000 But you're.
00:02:00.000 On the Somalia fraud issue.
00:02:03.000 And we did not know when we booked you that we were also going to be welcomed by the news that Tim Waltz is deciding not to run for reelection.
00:02:12.000 What is the story behind the story here, Liz?
00:02:15.000 Yeah, you guys, these last few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind in Minnesota.
00:02:19.000 You can certainly say that with news and politics, no doubt.
00:02:24.000 Governor Tim Walz making it official, actually just about an hour ago here, that he will not seek re-election to a third term as governor.
00:02:33.000 There have been many political scandals on his watch.
00:02:36.000 We've been detailing all of them, but this billion-dollar fraud scheme seemed to be the last straw.
00:02:42.000 In his case, $9 billion in all and counting.
00:02:46.000 We now have multiple federal investigations going on here in Minnesota.
00:02:51.000 And yeah, compared to mainstream media, I think we've been one of the very few, certainly the most prominent in the state of Minnesota criticizing the governor.
00:02:59.000 We have been for several years with our exclusive reporting.
00:03:03.000 But we even showed up at that press conference today, our photojournalist, which it's really difficult to even call it a press conference, you guys, but Governor Walls took no questions at all.
00:03:12.000 Alpha News tried to get into the room, but we were told we were not on the list, so we could not.
00:03:18.000 The governor, it's been years now since they've even responded to our request for comment on any story, but really just a bizarre situation.
00:03:26.000 If any of your viewers were seeing this at all play out on X, you have Walls coming off, I think, quite angry.
00:03:34.000 I think that's fair to say.
00:03:35.000 He talked about how he was supposedly fighting fraud for his last seven years in office, which came off as a bit of a surprise to any of us paying attention.
00:03:43.000 Basically, blaming Republicans and President Trump for all of this, referring to Nick Shirley's viral video, which got an awful lot of attention, called that a right-wing YouTuber.
00:03:55.000 And Nick Shirley was breaking into daycares.
00:03:58.000 We have that clip.
00:03:59.000 We have that clip.
00:04:00.000 Let's play it real quick.
00:04:01.000 Let's play 179.
00:04:04.000 We've got conspiracy theorist right-wing YouTubers breaking into our daycares, demanding access to our children.
00:04:12.000 We've got the president of the United States demonizing our Somali neighbors and wrongfully confiscating funds that Minnesotans rely on.
00:04:22.000 It's disgusting and it's dangerous.
00:04:24.000 Now, what comes to mind for me, Liz, is he can talk a big game there.
00:04:28.000 He can say that, yet I feel like nothing confirms all of the theories and allegations going on in Minnesota more than the fact Governor Walls realizes I can't fix this in the 11, in the 10 months till the next election.
00:04:44.000 I have to drop out to give us a shot in this race.
00:04:47.000 That seems like the greatest confirmation of all that there's a gigantic scandal here, correct?
00:04:53.000 Yeah, I mean, I think Blake Bernie wasn't paying attention.
00:04:55.000 It certainly seems that that way, that with what he's saying now, it's almost kind of opposite day, but we see that message again and again from the governor's office.
00:05:05.000 But you have some interesting maneuvering happening behind the scenes, and this is something we've been monitoring for months now.
00:05:11.000 Even when Governor Walls announced in September that he would run for reelection for a third term, many were very surprised by that with all of the baggage that he carries in the state.
00:05:24.000 But now it seems that it seems to be more and more truthful now.
00:05:28.000 And this is something we were hearing months ago, that Senator Amy Klobuchar will, in fact, be running for Minnesota governor.
00:05:35.000 And then you have perhaps some backroom dealing going on that Walls would then be appointed to her Senate seat because she is not up for reelection until 2031.
00:05:47.000 So there would be a special election in 28, but Walls would have some sort of swap out.
00:05:52.000 And until then, this is all just sort of speculative at this point.
00:05:56.000 But many of these Democrats, one could say that fraud has been happening on the watch of many Democrats here in Minnesota.
00:06:04.000 It's been 20 years now since there was a statewide office held by a Republican in Minnesota.
00:06:10.000 But they've been all very quiet.
00:06:12.000 You did not see anybody really going to bat, if you will, for Governor Walls for these many weeks and months.
00:06:18.000 And sometimes, you know, that silence speaks louder than anything else.
00:06:23.000 So, you know, this seems to be the first shoe to drop.
00:06:27.000 And this swap out idea is fascinating because I could actually see that really coming to bear here.
00:06:34.000 But the question then becomes, where is accountability?
00:06:37.000 So you've been doing the research and the investigations here, Liz, in Minnesota.
00:06:41.000 Who is most responsible?
00:06:44.000 Obviously, the buck stops with the guy at the top, but it seems like this fraud has, you have to have so many people turn a blind eye to allow the fraud to go this long, this large, this widespread.
00:06:57.000 Who needs to be held accountable next?
00:06:59.000 Yeah, I think it's a great point, Andrew.
00:07:01.000 In many ways, this fraud is almost baked into the legislation that we see passed again and again at the state capitol with these NGOs, these nonprofits that are formed.
00:07:11.000 I'll just highlight some recent reporting over at Elpha News within the last few months, but a transportation company paid millions of dollars over what the Minneapolis School District was allowing.
00:07:22.000 We find that these vans are either sitting for months on end or, in fact, they're driving around town without any passengers in them at all, a Somali-owned company, several Somali-owned companies working for the Minneapolis School District.
00:07:36.000 Well, it turns out that there is some legislation passed in 2023 under a DFL trifecta, so controlled by Democrats, that basically 100% of the reimbursement that is submitted to the federal government will go to the district and those companies.
00:07:55.000 And what are the monitoring systems put in place for these so-called rides and services?
00:08:00.000 This is all of a sudden assigned to what they consider the homeless and highly mobile population in Minneapolis.
00:08:07.000 All of a sudden, there's a 40% spike in homeless kids in Minneapolis.
00:08:07.000 So, what do we see?
00:08:12.000 So, when you really take a look at a lot of this, the math certainly does not add up.
00:08:15.000 It has not been for years, but we continue to detail those stories over at Alpha News from whistleblowers who've been trying to bring this to the attention of prosecutors, of authorities for such a long time.
00:08:27.000 I've interviewed recently just a TSA agent who detailed her time at the airport here, how she would watch millions of dollars in cash and carry-on luggage be flown out of MSP on a weekly basis by a couple of Somali men, sometimes the same, sometimes different.
00:08:45.000 And this was also corroborated by a former HSI agent who I then interviewed, who talked about how again and again they would present these cases to the U.S. Attorney's Office back then, and there would be no prosecution at all, no charges.
00:09:02.000 Very similar with Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.
00:09:04.000 We're hearing a lot about her again as President Trump continues to bring her up, but marrying her brother, the fact that there are questions if she's even a U.S. citizen.
00:09:14.000 But so much of this has been reported before and not by the mainstream media.
00:09:20.000 The mainstream media is very complicit in Minnesota.
00:09:23.000 I know you guys know that well, with perhaps the focus being more on what they do not report than what they do.
00:09:30.000 And the Minnesota Star Tribune, Minnesota's largest newspaper, is run by a former commissioner of Governor Tim Walz.
00:09:40.000 Yeah, the Star Tribune has really just been exposed as a total.
00:09:44.000 It's been so great where they've been like they initially said this is over, you know, this is overreacting.
00:09:49.000 There's nothing to see here.
00:09:50.000 And then as it becomes real, they've had to pivot to.
00:09:52.000 Actually, we've been covering this for years.
00:09:55.000 We've totally talked about the.
00:09:56.000 It's very funny to see them squirm back and forth on this.
00:10:00.000 Yeah, it's really shows how important your investigations have been, Liz.
00:10:07.000 And, you know, you're, you, I want to make you on the show to make sure, you know, with Nick Shirley, God bless him.
00:10:13.000 We're very happy for Nick's, the success he's having, the virality of that video, and what it's really unleashed nationwide.
00:10:19.000 Second half of this hour, we're going to be covering Washington Somali daycare fraud and other fraud in the state of Washington.
00:10:25.000 It's important, but you guys at Alpha News have been on this for so long and you've been so good.
00:10:33.000 Howdy, Blake here.
00:10:35.000 You know, in moments like this, truth really matters.
00:10:38.000 The truth was important to Charlie, so we want to share with you a new documentary that's caught our attention.
00:10:43.000 Not because it's political, but because it refuses to shy away from the questions that so many Americans are still asking.
00:10:51.000 It exposes the truth.
00:10:52.000 Thank you, Dr. Fauci, is a hard-hitting investigative docu thriller from award-winning filmmaker Jenner First.
00:10:59.000 He digs through thousands of documents, sits down with scientists, intelligence insiders, and whistleblowers, and exposes what may be one of the most significant public health cover-ups of our lifetimes.
00:11:11.000 This film isn't about scoring partisan political points.
00:11:14.000 It's about transparency, accountability, and the courage to follow the evidence wherever it leads.
00:11:20.000 If you've ever wondered what really happened behind closed doors, this is something you need to see for yourself.
00:11:26.000 Angel Studios was the only platform willing to release it, and that's because you, not Hollywood, decide what gets made.
00:11:33.000 Join the Angel Guild today at angel.com/slash Charlie Kirk.
00:11:37.000 Become a member and stream Thank You, Dr. Fauci today.
00:11:43.000 We have Liz Collins standing by, and it's a before we bring her in, I want to play this clip of President Trump just went to, just went ham on Ilhan Omar and the Somali pirates.
00:11:55.000 Play cut 183.
00:11:58.000 Somalia, Somalia pilots, pirates.
00:12:02.000 But what they are doing is they're stealing money from the American taxpayer.
00:12:06.000 And every one of them should be forced to leave this country, including Ilhan Omar, who's a total crook.
00:12:13.000 And we're not going to pay it anymore.
00:12:15.000 We're going to have Waltz go pay.
00:12:16.000 We're not going to pay them.
00:12:19.000 Waltz needs to pay.
00:12:21.000 Trump just got to.
00:12:22.000 We can dream.
00:12:22.000 We can dream.
00:12:23.000 Liz, Trump, I think, is echoing the sentiment of a lot of Americans that we feel where we don't understand why we had to take in hundreds of thousands of Somalians from a culture that doesn't share our values, doesn't assimilate very easily or seamlessly.
00:12:37.000 And now we find out they're defrauding us.
00:12:41.000 What can be done?
00:12:42.000 And if you've investigated this, as far as deportations, there's a new report, Liz, just broke.
00:12:48.000 I just saw it, so I don't expect you to know about it.
00:12:50.000 That even local Hilton hotels and Hampton Inns in the Minnesota or the Minneapolis area are declining ICE agents and DHS officers from getting hotel rooms because the assumption is they're working to deport Somalis.
00:13:07.000 What can be done in that regard?
00:13:08.000 And what are people on the ground saying?
00:13:10.000 Yeah, you know, I actually did see that report and I was able to actually ride along with ICE just a couple of months ago.
00:13:17.000 And this is how deep this all runs, you guys.
00:13:19.000 I think this story is a good example.
00:13:21.000 But I accompanied them on a ride along for a news story and they talked about just the growing frustration they have with Minnesota, how difficult their job is because you have so few counties in the state that cooperate with ICE.
00:13:36.000 So instead of doing these pickups at jails and prisons in Minnesota, instead they have to go out into neighborhoods where they are met by these activists.
00:13:47.000 In fact, the Star Tribune has a live reporting feed where they go ahead and blast out where ICE is going to be next.
00:13:55.000 So this has been going on now for months in Minnesota, but we went out.
00:13:59.000 The Star Tribune.
00:14:01.000 Yes, they actually are basically promoting this, where ICE is going to be, so they can be met by activists.
00:14:06.000 But during our ride-along, we picked up a former Minnesota state employee who was being paid six figures by the state, had worked for two different agencies, and turns out was a convicted felon and was hired anyway and now faces deportation.
00:14:24.000 And that was a story that we documented for Alpha News.
00:14:27.000 But again, you see this kind of at every turn, sort of this radical leftism that has taken hold in many agencies.
00:14:35.000 And I think that that's a perfect example of something that has been playing out here as well.
00:14:41.000 It's really interesting.
00:14:42.000 Minnesota used to just be this very, let's say it was probably one of the best run blue states.
00:14:47.000 It was a desirable one.
00:14:48.000 And you look at the map and we well know that people are fleeing California, fleeing Illinois, fleeing New York.
00:14:54.000 But actually, there's a lot of domestic out-migration out of Minnesota now.
00:14:58.000 People, they can sense that it's going south.
00:15:01.000 This is a bit of a swerve, but I thought you might have some thought on this.
00:15:04.000 It just seems like every program in Minnesota very quickly can become this feeding frenzy for fraud.
00:15:09.000 I know you guys have a new paid leave law that just came into play.
00:15:13.000 They added to their own, they added their own payroll tax to the state on top of what you pay for Medicare Social Security for paid leave.
00:15:20.000 And you're eligible for it if you are self-employed.
00:15:23.000 You can join into it.
00:15:24.000 You can get a maximum of 20 weeks of family or medical leave.
00:15:29.000 And so it seems to me like this is going to obviously present people an opportunity to incorporate a self-employed business, declare that they're paying themselves a certain salary.
00:15:38.000 This feels like COVID.
00:15:39.000 Yeah, and then you go on, you go on your leave for long COVID or whatever, your family member is sick or you have any one of your four wild claims, and you can get a maximum of 20 weeks of leave a year.
00:15:50.000 $1,400 a week is what the state will pay.
00:15:53.000 So that's $28,000 a year.
00:15:55.000 Am I reading this right, Liz?
00:15:56.000 Yeah, no, you're absolutely right, Blake.
00:15:58.000 And that's what I was talking about, just sort of how this is baked into the legislation.
00:16:02.000 In fact, people are actually calling on just a forensic audit overall of the Minnesota state budget at this point.
00:16:07.000 I think there are five or six federal investigations now ongoing in Minnesota, and I think they will be taking a look at a lot of this.
00:16:15.000 Republicans certainly have been raising alarm surrounding this new law that just went into effect January 1st.
00:16:25.000 You had Governor Walls in this, you know, so-called, I guess, press conference today talking about how he's going to be back out in front of cameras tomorrow talking about how great this new law is.
00:16:34.000 And there are many questions about fraud.
00:16:37.000 Already, thousands of people have been approved for this.
00:16:39.000 And speaking with small business owners, whether it's COVID or other mandates that were put in place on small business owners in Minnesota, they have expressed serious alarm.
00:16:48.000 The Chamber of Commerce, many departments came out against passing this.
00:16:53.000 But again, this has been a Democrat-controlled state for such a long time.
00:16:59.000 You're right that tens of thousands of people have fled the state at this point.
00:17:05.000 But Governor Walls, in the last seven years, it's really hard to understate how much has happened here, whether it's defunding the police, a lot of these mandates on small businesses, education scores really in the tank at this point.
00:17:21.000 Thousands of businesses closing in Minnesota, in addition to people moving out.
00:17:27.000 And we've always been known for years as a welfare state.
00:17:32.000 The good people of Minnesota, whether it's Lutheran social services, Catholic charities, taking people in.
00:17:39.000 But this Somali part certainly has been different, and the evidence has pointed to that.
00:17:44.000 It's about 100,000, they say, Somalis in Minnesota.
00:17:47.000 You know, I've covered cases where they will be on the stand saying this is our culture.
00:17:52.000 They consider themselves business people.
00:17:55.000 And this is under oath.
00:17:57.000 They're saying this.
00:17:58.000 It's just, it's totally different than anything we've seen before.
00:18:02.000 Liz, you're quite the trooper.
00:18:03.000 I would get out of Minnesota if I were you, but you're there.
00:18:06.000 You're covering it for us.
00:18:07.000 And I suspect we're going to get a lot of material from it in the weeks to come.
00:18:11.000 Thank you very much for coming on.
00:18:12.000 Thanks, Liz.
00:18:13.000 Thank you guys.

00:19:41.000 He is an amazing journalist who is part of TPUSA Frontlines team doing the sort of guerrilla on-the-ground journalism that the mainstream news media refuses to.
00:19:53.000 And now Jonathan has, I mean, he's done amazing work for Turning Point for years, but he is uncovering the extent of Somali fraud in the state of Washington.
00:20:04.000 So Minnesota has gotten a lot of the attention, but this fraud and this tendency by specific community in specific kinds of states expands well beyond Minnesota.
00:20:15.000 We've heard Ohio, and Jonathan's on the ground in Washington exposing it there.
00:20:19.000 Welcome to the show, Jonathan Cho, Frontlines TPUSA.
00:20:23.000 Hey, guys, thanks for having me.
00:20:24.000 Yeah, man.
00:20:26.000 So give us the rundown here.
00:20:29.000 So this fraud has been going on for who knows how long, and you are uncovering it.
00:20:35.000 And it appears that instead of like we're in Minnesota, they are, Tim Walz is saying he's not going to run for reelection.
00:20:42.000 We have a new socialist mayor of Seattle, Katie Wilson, who's promising to probably make things worse.
00:20:50.000 Tell us, give us the lay of the land.
00:20:51.000 What's the state of things in Washington?
00:20:53.000 Well, first of all, credit to Nick Shirley, who busted this story wide open in Minnesota.
00:20:59.000 And again, this morning, Tim Walz finally saying he's no longer going to run for governor.
00:21:05.000 Shirley's coverage had a lot to do with that.
00:21:07.000 That's what also inspired, though, our coverage here in Washington.
00:21:11.000 As soon as that story broke in Minnesota last week, independent journalist Cam Higbee, along with citizen journalist Kristen Magnusson and I decided we needed to start looking here.
00:21:22.000 Magnusson busted an entire list, identified more than 500 Somali-run daycares.
00:21:31.000 What we did was simply process of elimination.
00:21:33.000 We went through the inspection histories, anything with red flags, serious violations, we decided to go after and we did the divide and conquer approach.
00:21:41.000 So after just only four days now and nearly 40 Somali daycares from Seattle to Kent to Auburn to SeaTac, all over South King County, we've uncovered what appears to be possible signs of Somali daycare fraud.
00:21:58.000 In at least four cases, the daycare was officially registered with the state of Washington.
00:22:03.000 But when we knocked on the door, either no one came to the door and only spoke to us through a ring camera and said, no, no daycare here, never registered, or the person ran us off the property saying, no daycare, go away.
00:22:16.000 Wow.
00:22:17.000 And you guys are definitely, I want the audience to understand just how much you guys have ruffled feathers in the state of Washington.
00:22:24.000 Throw up 144.
00:22:25.000 This is NBC.
00:22:27.000 National NBC is posting about your guys' reporting saying that, you know, essentially trying to downplay who you are.
00:22:37.000 Far-right, you know, YouTubers, independent journalists, so-called, are now harassing local daycares because they happen to be Somali.
00:22:46.000 Is that the truth?
00:22:47.000 You heard Tim Waltz saying something similar, Jonathan, with, you know, basically calling him a conspiracy theorist and a right-wing YouTuber trying to downplay the significance of this work.
00:23:01.000 What are you doing that's getting under their cross so much, Jonathan?
00:23:04.000 Well, it does seem like that seems to be the playbook initially, at least for these Democratic elected officials and also the left-wing corporate media.
00:23:13.000 It's pretty much deny, dismiss, and then try to discredit.
00:23:17.000 But at the end of the day, we have official public documents.
00:23:21.000 You referenced Katie Wilson, the new mayor of Seattle, just a few days ago.
00:23:25.000 Went to her inauguration, and she pretty much admitted that her social media post right after this story broke, where she called, you know, all the people knocking on the doors of these Somali daycares to figure out whether or not actual fraud was happening.
00:23:39.000 She referred to them as extremist influencers.
00:23:43.000 And when Higby confronted her and I confronted her, she admitted she was talking about me.
00:23:49.000 So we're clearly living rent-free in our head.
00:23:51.000 But again, all joking aside, the fact that a sitting official, this not only includes the mayor of Seattle, I'm talking about the Washington state governor, Bob Ferguson, along with Attorney General Nick Brown, instead of calling for a robust investigation into the Somali daycares, they're now playing defense.
00:24:10.000 They're pointing fingers at President Trump.
00:24:14.000 They're calling us harassers.
00:24:15.000 So again, I think there's clearly a coordinated effort going on right now.
00:24:20.000 We have that clip, Jonathan, of the new, she was just sworn in this morning, right?
00:24:26.000 A couple days ago.
00:24:27.000 Katie Wilson.
00:24:28.000 Okay, so she's just sworn in.
00:24:30.000 When we say she's a socialist, she's actually a socialist.
00:24:33.000 She's proud of this.
00:24:34.000 She calls herself, she's a part of the Democrat Socialists of America.
00:24:37.000 She narrowly won her election over the incumbent there was just a, I guess, more of a traditional Democrat.
00:24:45.000 Here's 166, Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson calling Jonathan Cho and Cam Higbee extremist influencers, which is a bold claim.
00:24:54.000 166.
00:24:56.000 Everyone has a place in Seattle.
00:24:57.000 This is your city.
00:24:58.000 That means that you belong here.
00:25:00.000 Drew, as you put it, extremist influencers have a place in Seattle.
00:25:03.000 Mommy's right here.
00:25:04.000 So I guess so.
00:25:05.000 John?
00:25:06.000 Well, I asked her, she said in her speech that everybody has a place in Seattle.
00:25:11.000 And I said, Katie, you said everyone has a place in Seattle.
00:25:14.000 Does that include, as you put it, extremist influencers?
00:25:16.000 And she looked at you and she said, well, there's one standing right there.
00:25:19.000 I guess so.
00:25:20.000 And she's calling me an extremist influencer.
00:25:22.000 Again, I triggered that post, apparently.
00:25:24.000 And then I asked her if her administration will investigate Somali daycare fraud, and she literally started pushing me away.
00:25:31.000 All right.
00:25:31.000 So her staff ushered me away.
00:25:32.000 So it's all on camera.
00:25:34.000 We simply stood in line.
00:25:35.000 We just wanted to ask her basic questions, but Katie Wilson and her administration, afraid of questions, basically.
00:25:41.000 Yeah, terrified questions.
00:25:42.000 Yeah.
00:25:43.000 That's amazing.
00:25:45.000 Good for you, Jonathan.
00:25:47.000 I mean, you know, Minnesota is getting all the attention, but Washington is an absolute hotbed of extreme actual extremists on the left.
00:25:56.000 They're going to ruin that state.
00:25:57.000 That is a state that is a proud capitalist past.
00:26:00.000 I mean, you've got Boeing, you've got Starbucks, you've got Microsoft, Amazon.
00:26:07.000 This is a proudly capitalist state, and it's kind of got this, people don't understand this.
00:26:12.000 Like the Seattle area has this kind of Scandinavian heritage as well, like very intrepid entrepreneurs, very self-sufficient people.
00:26:21.000 It's getting completely annihilated from, you know, I would say from progressive left, but the tax base, the massive influx of foreigners, the traffic in Seattle is horrendous now, by the way.
00:26:38.000 But it's just, I'm shocked at how much fraud we've explored, we've discovered already in Minnesota, but how much we're about to discover in Washington state.
00:26:48.000 And the question that I then have, Jonathan, is that instead of investigating it, they're shooing you away.
00:26:55.000 What is the reticence with actually investigating this fraud?
00:26:59.000 Great question.
00:27:00.000 You've got to ask them.
00:27:01.000 And I want to be very clear.
00:27:02.000 You know, people like me, Cam Higbee, Kristen Magnusson, and all the other citizen journalists who've been digging, it's because the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families, the actual agency, get this, that not only funds these Somali daycares, but is also supposed to investigate the daycares.
00:27:21.000 Well, they're not doing their job.
00:27:22.000 I mean, we've reached out to DCYF numerous times now.
00:27:26.000 They're not returning our requests for comment.
00:27:28.000 I called them several times.
00:27:30.000 Their voicemail box is still full.
00:27:32.000 So the best part of this is that DCYF also on its webpage put out a statement basically advising daycares on how to respond to all the people making inquiries.
00:27:42.000 But there's no place at all on the website right now to make complaints about suspicious Somali daycares.
00:27:49.000 That's by design.
00:27:50.000 Yeah, it does seem that way.
00:27:51.000 And that's exactly what the Washington state GOP said.
00:27:53.000 Jim Walsh, Travis Couture, two state representatives now also leading the charge here, trying to look into what's actually happening.
00:28:01.000 They've gone so far to say this is essentially a kickback scheme.
00:28:06.000 We've also uncovered that a lot of these Somali daycares have donated to Democratic candidates, not conservative Republican candidates, but Democratic candidates.
00:28:16.000 So it's this vicious cycle that they're alleging.
00:28:19.000 So again, we are at the very early stages of this investigation.
00:28:23.000 In fact, Nick Shirley is a friend of ours.
00:28:25.000 We've invited him.
00:28:26.000 He might come here.
00:28:26.000 We've talked to other journalists across the country.
00:28:30.000 We are urging more eyes on this state.
00:28:33.000 You know, it's shocking.
00:28:35.000 And I want to get back to this idea.
00:28:37.000 I mean, I lived in Seattle.
00:28:38.000 I went to the University of Washington.
00:28:40.000 And when I was there, it was, like I said, proudly capitalist.
00:28:44.000 This was a people that knew how to run.
00:28:47.000 It was kind of like Minnesota, where it formerly used to be this sort of well-run blue state.
00:28:51.000 It functioned.
00:28:52.000 There was order.
00:28:53.000 Kind of the old, Charlie used to talk about this all the time with the old Democrats that ran Chicago.
00:28:58.000 They knew how to run a city.
00:28:59.000 Yeah, they were Democrats, but it was sort of like the old school version.
00:29:04.000 And now you're getting, whether it's New York or Minnesota, you've got basically a communist running Chicago.
00:29:12.000 Now you've got a communist, we'll just keep it what it is, a socialist running Seattle.
00:29:18.000 I mean, this is a really scary trend that we're seeing.
00:29:22.000 Socialist Seattle, communist socialists running Chicago, socialists running New York.
00:29:28.000 I don't know what the heck is going on in Minnesota, but they're basically trying to give away every single dollar that comes into the coffers.
00:29:35.000 And it is going to play out exactly how we know it's going to play out, where rampant fraud, rampant fleecing of the taxpayers, and residents that are productive are going to flee the state.
00:29:49.000 You mentioned this in Minnesota.
00:29:51.000 New York's moving to Florida and other places.
00:29:54.000 Illinois' filling up Phoenix.
00:29:56.000 I can tell you that.
00:29:57.000 This city's full of Chicagoans that have fled the state.
00:30:01.000 Have you felt that already in just kind of in the last couple of years, Jonathan?
00:30:06.000 And now it's going to get worse in Seattle.
00:30:08.000 Are you seeing businesses starting to flee the state?
00:30:10.000 Are you seeing people flee the state?
00:30:12.000 Absolutely.
00:30:13.000 The exodus has already begun.
00:30:14.000 Just look at the data and the numbers.
00:30:16.000 Downtown Seattle, the commercial real estate, the vacancies are at an all-time high.
00:30:21.000 You have property values starting to drop.
00:30:24.000 You have people now, you know, for example, Amazon and Meta.
00:30:28.000 They were going to expand in Seattle, but instead they're moving to nearby Bellevue, which is only 15 minutes away, which is safer, which is pro-police and is simply a better run city.
00:30:40.000 So what's happening now, again, in Washington, the concern is that all the patriots who were common sense have now left and there's no one left to fight.
00:30:49.000 And maybe it is all by design that the GOP, you know, continues to pass these insane policies, frustrating common sense folk and the folk who are going to challenge them, they're no longer here to do that.
00:31:01.000 So again, a lot of theories happening right now, but I'm seeing, again, the data and I'm seeing people now voting with their feet.
00:31:08.000 And that's what's happening in Washington.
00:31:09.000 Yeah.
00:31:09.000 And you saw that.
00:31:10.000 You see that in California, too.
00:31:11.000 It's like if all the people would have just stayed and fought in California, we probably could have won back, Calvin.
00:31:16.000 Honestly, I mean, it's a bittersweet, you know, pill to swap.
00:31:20.000 I don't think we could have won it back.
00:31:22.000 I do.
00:31:22.000 Oh, I do.
00:31:23.000 I mean, if you go back to the 90s, I mean, people were starting to flee the state, California in the 90s.
00:31:28.000 I mean, we're talking millions of people over the last 25 years, 30 years.
00:31:31.000 You should see how many votes we lost.
00:31:33.000 Well, I mean, yeah, fair enough.
00:31:36.000 Call me a conspiracy theorist if you want, but actually, it is a problem, though, because states like Arizona get benefited from Texas, Florida, a lot of red states are benefiting.
00:31:47.000 Jonathan Cho, I know you are midway on this investigation.
00:31:51.000 Please come back when you conclude it.
00:31:53.000 We want to platform it, showcase it, and make sure the world knows.
00:31:56.000 TPOSA Frontlines, Jonathan Cho, great American.
00:31:58.000 Thank you.
00:31:59.000 Thanks for dropping the story this week.
00:32:00.000 Take care, guys.
00:32:03.000 This is Lane Schoenberger, Chief Investment Officer and Founding Partner of YReFi.

00:33:12.000 In the meantime, Blake, you went up to the Great Frozen North and you survived.
00:33:16.000 Yes, I did.
00:33:18.000 For the break, what'd you do?
00:33:19.000 I read that hideous string in a very cool thing.
00:33:23.000 Yeah, we kept talking about it with the ad, and that was the only one I hadn't read.
00:33:26.000 So I went and read it.
00:33:27.000 Yeah, Hillsdale.
00:33:27.000 It's very weird.
00:33:28.000 It's speaking of the North.
00:33:29.000 Is it?
00:33:29.000 Yes, it's very strange.
00:33:31.000 It's not exact.
00:33:32.000 It's a dystopian novel like the others in that listing of 1984 Brave New Orleans, but it's a lot weirder.
00:33:37.000 It has King Arthur-related elements that pop up halfway through.
00:33:42.000 Weird.
00:33:42.000 Very weird.
00:33:43.000 Well, I now need to take the Hillsdale course.
00:33:46.000 Exactly.
00:33:48.000 You might need to read the Prelude books, too.
00:33:50.000 It's a little less weird if you, it's the end of a trilogy.
00:33:52.000 If you're reading it as your only book in that trilogy and you haven't read the first two, it's got to be one of the weirdest books you've ever read.
00:33:57.000 I stayed in Phoenix and I shot off thousands of dollars.
00:34:02.000 I didn't pay for them, but we went to this house and we got there with the kids and they had literal fireworks with the mortar shells, you know, like five-inch and seven-inch New Year's fireworks?
00:34:13.000 New Year's.
00:34:14.000 Yeah, New Year's.
00:34:15.000 Yeah, I mean, there were other houses doing it.
00:34:17.000 I think it's fairly common.
00:34:18.000 I thought you were going to say like thousands of dollars worth of ammo.
00:34:20.000 Like you went rifle shooting.
00:34:21.000 That sounds very Arizona.
00:34:22.000 That would have been very cool.
00:34:23.000 That would be very cool.
00:34:24.000 But we just fired them off.
00:34:26.000 It was pretty fun.
00:34:26.000 The kids enjoyed it.
00:34:28.000 And I will tell you, I had a legitimate celebration.
00:34:31.000 This is probably the first that apparently it's very illegal in Arizona.
00:34:35.000 I didn't do it.
00:34:36.000 Well, I did it.
00:34:37.000 You're throwing all the blame on your own children.
00:34:40.000 It was my children.
00:34:41.000 Very suspicious.
00:34:42.000 Yeah.
00:34:42.000 And the house that we're at.
00:34:44.000 I can neither confirm nor deny that this story I've just told is true, but it's true.
00:34:51.000 But I will tell you, I had a legitimate celebration.
00:34:54.000 I was so ready for 2025, 2025 to be over.
00:34:58.000 It was just a terribly tragic year, and we missed Charlie.
00:35:02.000 I mean, it's time to turn the page and have a new start.
00:35:05.000 It really was.
00:35:06.000 So revisiting this topic, Thomas Massey, throw up at 185.
00:35:12.000 He tweeted out: Wake up, MAGA.
00:35:14.000 Venezuela is not about drugs.
00:35:15.000 It's about oil and regime change.
00:35:17.000 This is not what we voted for.
00:35:19.000 And to that, Blake, your response is?
00:35:22.000 I think it's very funny that Trump comes out and basically says he's like, we did this to take the oil.
00:35:28.000 We're taking all the oil from Venezuela.
00:35:31.000 And then everyone's pointing and saying, don't be tricked.
00:35:33.000 This is about oil.
00:35:34.000 Well, I mean, I do think that there is a little bit of this going on.
00:35:38.000 I mean, I'll be honest.
00:35:39.000 I think there's a little bit of we have the legal precursor with drugs and narco-trafficking.
00:35:46.000 And we have the indictments, and he's an illegitimate person that's, you know, but this is about kind of, I would say this is about two things.
00:35:54.000 I'm going to say one that is provable, one that is a bit conspiratorial.
00:35:57.000 One that's provable.
00:35:58.000 This is about the messy business of empire.
00:36:01.000 And people don't like to hear it, but America, yeah, we're not an empire in sort of a classical Roman sense, but we are an economic behemoth.
00:36:10.000 And we are a hegemon.
00:36:11.000 And there are threats to the hegemony, right?
00:36:14.000 There is the BRICS nations.
00:36:16.000 There's Iran, Russia, China that are working to forge inroads in the Western Hemisphere, gain access to mineral rights, gain access to friendly dictators that will allow them to use their countries as playthings.
00:36:30.000 And you've got Cuban.
00:36:31.000 By the way, people don't understand how insidious the Cuban intelligence arm is, really.
00:36:38.000 They have massive presence in the United States, but also throughout South America.
00:36:42.000 It's their one export.
00:36:43.000 Let's not go too far.
00:36:44.000 What's their one export?
00:36:45.000 What's their, okay.
00:36:46.000 They're insidious.
00:36:46.000 What have they done?
00:36:47.000 All right.
00:36:48.000 Just hear me out.
00:36:49.000 So you've got all of these countries that have a presence that are not friendly to the United States in Venezuela.
00:36:57.000 And here we have an opportunity to depose a dictator.
00:37:01.000 You have legal ability to do it.
00:37:03.000 And there is a larger hemispheric rationale economically to do it.
00:37:07.000 Okay.
00:37:09.000 Secondly, and this is where I'm going to get your real eye rolls, more so than the Cubans, there is a story, and I would be remiss if I didn't bring it up, that suggests that Trump is, because you've got these voting systems with the origin stories in Venezuela.
00:37:27.000 Yes, this is going on on the internet.
00:37:28.000 So if you don't want to hear it, you know, maybe, maybe, maybe, you know, that's fine.
00:37:33.000 That's your, I'm not saying I endorse it.
00:37:35.000 I'm just saying people are saying, many people are saying SmartMatic and Dominion have origin stories, or at least one of them does, in Venezuela.
00:37:44.000 And the idea is that President Trump is doing this actually as some sort of 3D chess move to find out the truth about the 2020 election.
00:37:52.000 Good luck.
00:37:55.000 Smartmatic.
00:37:55.000 Smartmatic is the one with the.
00:37:57.000 I'll be blunt.
00:37:57.000 I hope that's not the case because I don't think if an American troop gets killed and it turns out that they did this to go after Dominion, I think that would be a catastrophic error.
00:38:07.000 Listen, it's SmartMatic, apparently.
00:38:09.000 Anyways, so the point is, that is one of the theories circulating is that there are, you know, Emerald Robinson, I think, was one of the people that has reported on this.
00:38:19.000 Just saying House and Habit did a whole thing on it.
00:38:22.000 I saw it.
00:38:22.000 It was going around.
00:38:23.000 People need to be aware.
00:38:24.000 That would be bad.
00:38:25.000 I don't think that they're going to state this publicly, but I do think that President Trump starts posting on True Social about the 2020 election right after Maduro gets captured.
00:38:37.000 Well, he always posts about the 2020 election.
00:38:39.000 I think what's most interesting to me is the take that they told Trump, President Trump, that we're doing this for oil, and the math doesn't quite work out in that way.
00:38:49.000 Like, Venezuela has a lot of oil, but it's not very good oil.
00:38:52.000 It's not as profitable to extract as America's own oil.
00:38:55.000 And also, since we're a net energy exporter, we don't necessarily love way lower oil prices.
00:39:01.000 It's more complicated.
00:39:03.000 But that they told President Trump this to kind of sell him on it because he does like that more mercenary attitude.
00:39:09.000 He likes, you know, with Ukraine, where they're saying, okay, support Ukraine, but then we'll get this rare earths deal.
00:39:15.000 You get this more straightforward thing out of it.
00:39:18.000 Or how he's always said we should have taken Iraq's oil.
00:39:20.000 They almost need to sell him on any foreign intervention by saying, oh, oh, yeah, and we can take the oil too.
00:39:26.000 And then he gets more enthusiastic about it.
00:39:27.000 You did see that.
00:39:28.000 Well, they're doing it for the reasons you stayed of keep out China or box in Cuba or spread democracy or what have you.
00:39:36.000 We got an email from Mike C. Apparently, Danny's telling me all that your emails are pro-Trump, anti-Massey.
00:39:41.000 So great.
00:39:41.000 It says, great job, Andrew and Blake.
00:39:43.000 Pleased with Trump's actions in Venezuela.
00:39:45.000 Long overdue.
00:39:45.000 Tired of the years of talk from weak politicians executing a fake war on drugs, the cartels, and the third world thugs behind it.
00:39:52.000 Let this be a lesson to Mexico, Colombia, and Cuba.
00:39:55.000 And I do think there is a point here, you know, and you saw Marco Rubio said it.
00:39:59.000 Well, for those of you in the world that still want to mess around with America and you think that Trump's just a man of talk and press conference, that's not it.
00:40:06.000 He is a man of action, and there will be consequences.
00:40:08.000 I still want to make sure that this plays out the right way.
00:40:11.000 We don't get overextended, that the transition can happen to a friendlier government to the United States.
00:40:16.000 We can have an actual, real, thriving Venezuela.
00:40:18.000 That would be great.
00:40:20.000 If.
00:40:21.000 And if there's a lot, there's a lot between now and then.
00:40:24.000 It's good if it goes well.
00:40:26.000 It's bad if it goes badly.
00:40:27.000 I know.
00:40:28.000 Well, winners win.
00:40:29.000 Well, losers lose.
