00:00:40.000His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.
00:00:49.000We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.

00:01:13.000Currently, there is some rather interesting news happening on the House floor.
00:01:17.000Mary Miller, Scott Perry, the head of the House Freedom Caucus, Ralph Norman, Anna Paulina Luna, Byron Donalds, Andrew Clyde, Michael Cloud, Josh Bretchen, and Dan Bishop have switched their votes to Kevin McCarthy in this latest round.
00:01:38.000As I predicted, which came under pretty intense ridicule from some of you that emailed me, this has been a tactic of negotiation.
00:01:53.000So I think there's anywhere between six to nine holdouts right now.
00:02:04.000And by holdouts, I mean people that are not going to vote for Kevin McCarthy.
00:02:11.000But as I predicted earlier in the program, because we have been talking to these patriots that are doing this for quite some time, that their strategy, many of them, some of the strategy is no Kevin, no Kevin, no Kevin, no Kevin, which I understand that many of you are sympathetic with.
00:02:31.000Other people say don't like Kevin, not my first choice, but also Kevin has 150 to 175 votes baked in.
00:02:40.000So therefore, let's try to get the most conservative Congress possible.
00:03:02.000Now, in a second, we have Congressman Troy Nells.
00:03:05.000I want to welcome back, but understand this, that Kevin McCarthy for years traveled the country, raised a bunch of money from big donors, and supported candidates in difficult races.
00:03:21.000Burgess Owens, Young Kim, many of these people that you have been seen, being seen on there, and in some ways, you have a majority thanks to that.
00:03:30.000So a lot of them have loyalty to Kevin because Kevin came in with a fair amount of resources to help them out.
00:03:41.000To build this out further, though, if you are in a competitive race, if you are in a 50-50 type district and you're trying to raise money, and Kevin McCarthy comes in with millions of dollars to support you, then you are more likely than to support him.
00:04:03.000He's been doing that for many, many years.
00:04:06.000Now, some of you are saying, you know, Charlie, these people are sellouts.
00:04:09.000Some of them are sellouts, but some of them are not.
00:04:12.000I don't think Burgess Owens is a sellout.
00:04:55.000Some of them are, hey, we want concessions to try to make this the most conservative Congress because there is another part of this, which is Kevin McCarthy has power too.
00:05:08.000Kevin McCarthy has the loyalty and the support of 120 to 150.
00:05:45.000I applaud those in the House Freedom Caucus that have been voting against McCarthy.
00:05:50.000I appreciate the leadership team sitting down with these individuals at a table, having a conversation, you know, breaking bread and trying to work out our differences.
00:06:00.000So if we're going to come to an agreement, let's get that agreement done.
00:06:03.000Let's get it done so we can work for the American people.
00:06:07.000So, Congressman, can you give our audience some peace of mind about what a conservative Congress can do if Kevin McCarthy ends up winning?
00:06:17.000Some of our audience, they are not convinced.
00:06:45.000And I will say this as it relates to, you use the word investigations.
00:06:49.000You know very well, it's been very clear that Jim Jordan, he wants to get to work on the judiciary, and he wants to have a lot of investigations.
00:06:57.000We need to investigate Christopher Wray with the FBI.
00:07:08.000We need to have all those individuals in front of us to ask the questions that have not been asked by this one-party rule under Nancy Pelosi.
00:07:17.000In addition to that, we have Comer, Representative Comer, who's going to be over oversight government reform, that has had press conferences and said, we are going to investigate Hunter, his laptop, and we know who the big guy is.
00:07:30.000So I think he has some very sharp, strong conservatives behind him that will help lead with these investigations.
00:07:39.000As it relates to policy, we have the commitment to America out there.
00:07:43.000Yes, it needs to be refined a little bit more detail.
00:07:46.000But I believe when you look at that commitment as it relates to the southern border, which makes me very, very angry because I believe, you know, it's putting the American people last and the American people are suffering, dying from fentanyl.
00:07:58.000I believe we have a solid plan to secure our southern border.
00:08:02.000Now, the fiscal irresponsibility with this Congress for the past several years, $31 trillion, and you can't just blame the Democrats for $31 trillion.
00:10:08.000Donald Trump Jr. has just tweeted: proud of my conservative friends in the House who just won the best deal the right has ever gotten from Republican leadership.
00:10:17.000We need to put petty personal disputes aside and do what's best for the movement.
00:10:21.000This is a transformational deal that will change Congress for the better.
00:10:25.000Congressman Nels, you are part of the House Freedom Caucus.
00:10:27.000I'm sure you agree with Donald Trump Jr.
00:10:29.000There's been some major victories in this kind of, let's just say, multi-day carousel.
00:11:49.000Well, you know, Leader McCarthy asked me to be one of the five to be on that select committee, you know, Jim Jordan, myself, Jim Banks.
00:11:55.000And he asked me, I'd have been the only freshman on it, but he's exploited my strength, and that's my law enforcement background in it for 30 years, a sheriff for eight.
00:12:05.000So I know a little bit about January 6th because I conducted a very thorough investigation into it.
00:12:11.000And Charlie, what it was, it was a law enforcement failure.
00:12:14.000Now, the sham committee, Benny Thompson, Liz Cheney, and everyone else on that committee, they're trying to blame Donald Trump.
00:12:20.000They released their big 840-something page report the other day.
00:12:24.000Donald Trump's name is mentioned like 4,200 times.
00:12:28.000But I tell you, most of your viewers obviously have heard the name Ray Epps.
00:14:04.000And they say that their grievances are not being heard.
00:14:07.000They're concerned a little bit about the medical treatment that they've received and obviously religious services.
00:14:13.000And even a few have expressed concerns over physical assaults that have been taking place in the facility against them by personnel with the police.
00:14:24.000Congressman Nels, we still do not know the whole story there.
00:14:28.000Last thing, if Speaker McCarthy pulls this off with concessions, are we going to have a Church and Pike style committee to get the bottom, get to the bottom of what happened on January 6th?
00:15:22.000If the National Guard would have been on our nation's capital on January 4th, like the intelligence suggested, January 6th would have never happened.
00:15:56.000Look, COVID tax relief is if you own a business and you did the tough thing during COVID, you paid your employees and your people and you pulled them through the pandemic.
00:16:05.000And now doing the tough thing could qualify you for up to $26,000 per employee at COVIDTaxRelief.org.
00:16:11.000Government funds are available to reward companies with two or more employees who stayed open during COVID.
00:16:15.000This is not a loan, and you do not have to pay it back.
00:16:18.000This program is complicated, but nobody knows more about it than COVIDtaxRelief.org.
00:16:22.000You pay nothing up front, and they do all the work.
00:16:24.000So check it out right now, covidtaxrelief.org.
00:17:15.000One of the areas that Republicans oftentimes get wrong is we try to elevate a particular politician to almost a godlike or celebrity-like figure.
00:17:25.000And I think that that can be a mistake that you and I really shouldn't throw our weight behind a particular candidate.
00:17:30.000We should throw our weight behind principles, which is why what's happening in the House of Representatives, I don't get the huffing and the puffing.
00:17:36.000I find it hilarious and delightful that for once, Republicans are taking their time to do something right.
00:17:43.000And when I say do something right, it doesn't mean that we're going to get 100% of what we want.
00:17:48.000I mean, I think probably both you and I would prefer if Kevin McCarthy was not the Speaker of the House.
00:17:54.000I would prefer if Kevin McCarthy was not the Speaker of the House.
00:17:57.000I think that he's a creature of the swamp.
00:17:59.000He's not as bad as some of the other ones, but he is a creature of the swamp.
00:18:02.000I prefer someone more committed to investigating the corruption that has been embedded in the federal government that's been weaponized against conservatives across the country.
00:18:52.000And so shifting gears for a second, you had a tweet I think that Elon Musk responded to earlier this week around a genre of a topic that, for whatever reason, I got in a lot of trouble for tweeting about just how athletes seem to be suddenly dropping.
00:19:07.000Tell us about some of those numbers there about this alarming increase in athletes that have been dropping across the world.
00:19:16.000Yeah, so the backstory here is I think we were all watching Monday night football when the Buffalo Bills were playing the Cincinnati Bengals.
00:19:23.000I was actually in Cincinnati visiting my parents for Christmas.
00:19:26.000I was upstairs putting my daughter to bed when my phone starts blowing up saying, hey, did you see what just happened to DeMar Hamlin on the field?
00:19:36.000And so I watched this video, and I think I had the same reaction that most of America had: that this was so tragic, so heartbreaking.
00:19:42.000And before we speculate about what might have caused this cardiac arrest in this 24-year-old young man, this professional athlete, you know, you just stop and say a prayer for his safety, for wisdom and guidance for his people caring for him.
00:19:55.000I think we've seen he's gotten incredible care.
00:19:57.000The reports today are that he's talked to his team, even that he's talking to his family, and that could not bring my heart more joy.
00:20:04.000But when I was looking up statistics and data about what happened in the direct aftermath, I found that, yes, it's true.
00:20:11.000This has never happened on the field before, where a player just keels over in the way that DeMar Hamlin did, that has a cardiac arrest after a tackle that, yeah, football's violent, it's a violent sport, but it wasn't a particularly violent tackle compared to some of the other hits that we've seen.
00:20:42.000Even the New York Times reported on this.
00:20:43.000I'm talking about myocarditis or the inflammation of the heart.
00:20:47.000There was immediate speculation on Twitter that this, what happened to DeMar Hamlin, was comodia cordis, which is a very rare thing that can happen to young men if they have a direct blunt force hit to a thin chest wall at a particular part of the cardiac cycle.
00:21:05.000And there was almost immediate, immediate narratives emerging on Twitter that that's what happened to DeMar Hamlin.
00:21:10.000So I looked this up and I found that between every year, I should say, in the United States, there's only between 10 and 20 cases of comodia cordis, and it rarely happens in anyone over the age of 20.
00:21:46.000Now, for comparison, for context here, what did those numbers look like before the rollout of the vax?
00:21:50.000Well, the average number of athlete cardiac arrests before January of 2021 was 29 per year.
00:21:58.000So that's a very statistically significant difference.
00:22:01.000So the point that I made in my tweet was all of this data, science, quote unquote science, the public health establishment, big pharma, even people's doctors, certainly politicians and pundits, ignore these things.
00:22:14.000And this is why you and I and a large part of America have questions about what happened to DeMar Hamlin.
00:22:20.000What caused a heart attack in an otherwise healthy professional athlete, this young man, man, this 24-year-old in the prime of his life, what caused his heart to suddenly stop?
00:22:30.000And until we get answers to these questions, I think a lot of people are going to wonder.
00:22:34.000And why is it that we can't even ask a question about it?
00:22:39.000Why are we not even allowed to talk about it?
00:22:41.000I mean, the power of the pharmaceutical companies.
00:22:44.000Because if we answered these questions, if we answered this questions, what would it uncover?
00:22:48.000It would uncover the truth and the reality of what's happened over the past two years.
00:22:53.000That not only from the very beginning was the COVID-19 virus not as fatal as the public health establishment told us there wasn't this 3.6% fatality rate.
00:23:05.000It wasn't equally fatal to every person, meaning you and I as healthy young people.
00:23:09.000We've probably both survived COVID how many times now.
00:23:11.000This was never going to be something that simply raised our population.
00:23:16.000But because the public health establishment continued with that false narrative, that lie to the American people, they were able to trick people into taking this vaccine.
00:23:26.000This vaccine that we now know is neither safe nor effective.
00:23:30.000It doesn't prevent you from contracting the virus.
00:23:32.000It doesn't prevent you from transmitting the virus.
00:23:34.000And it does come with serious adverse reactions, adverse reactions that you don't need to take my word for.
00:23:39.000You can see it in studies with the heart conditions.
00:23:42.000You can see it anecdotally with instances of your family and your friends having suffered.
00:23:47.000We all know people who've suffered these terrible adverse events because of the vaccine.
00:23:51.000And if now, Charlie, if they admitted, if the public health establishment admitted, well, this is a question that we should certainly investigate.
00:23:58.000I don't know what caused this cardiac arrest.
00:24:03.000Maybe his family knows, but the public doesn't know.
00:24:06.000But if we're even allowed to ask these questions, then everybody who was complicit in this conspiracy over the last two years, whether it's big pharma, politicians, mainstream media, big tech, whoever it might be, they're going to be exposed for the frauds that they are.
00:24:23.000They're going to be exposed for being part of perpetuating this incredible harm on the United States of America.
00:24:28.000And, you know, they don't want that exposed.
00:24:32.000Yeah, and it's almost for committing the crime of noticing.
00:25:09.000And when you see a pattern and you see a pattern manifest, then it is incumbent on you to notice that, to mention it out loud and not just say, well, I'm afraid of the potential backlash that will happen if I dare say that.
00:25:25.000And so I guess we have a minute and a half remaining here, Liz, but a lot of people's lives were ruined for not taking the shot as well.
00:25:32.000In fact, they were the ones that were telling us that we have to show our proof of vaccination status.
00:26:07.000You mentioned that and said this deserves more investigation.
00:26:10.000And the thing, Charlie, is that what happened on Monday Night Football might have been the first time that a lot of Americans who may not be in our politically active sphere, that they realize, hey, this is abnormal.
00:27:25.000One of the things that when I was talking about this on my show, I was talking about how do you pick someone that you can have confidence in to lead the Republican Party in the way that the conservative base wants?
00:27:34.000How do you know if someone is a fighter?
00:27:37.000How do you know if they're a squish ahead of time?
00:27:39.000Because you can't always tell if they're not a politician and you can't look at their record.
00:27:43.000And I said, there's one question that you can ask that distills the answer to that.
00:27:50.000Do the people running for RNC chair acknowledge the reality of the political enemy that we're facing?
00:28:00.000And if the answer to this is no, then we're not going to be able to fight well against this political enemy.
00:28:05.000If the answer to this question is yes, then you can have reasonable confidence that the leader of the RNC, the chair of the RNC, will act in a way that serves our interests.
00:28:14.000And what I mean by this is the political enemy that we're facing is not just Democrats who agree with us on fundamental principles.
00:28:26.000They just have different ideas about how they best want to protect our freedom.
00:28:29.000No, that unfortunately is something from the past.
00:28:32.000We no longer share these fundamental first principles with Democrats.
00:28:37.000So if a Republican doesn't sit here and say, listen, what we're facing right now is a threat by Marxist forces that have infiltrated, embedded themselves, and co-opted most of the institutions in our country, from the education system to the medical field to obviously universities, even to the administrative state and the federal government.
00:28:57.000If we don't sit here and acknowledge that critical race theory is Marxist, that queer theory is Marxist, that our politicians generally turn a blind eye to this and pretend that their Democratic colleagues are just a little bit misguided.
00:29:10.000If they don't understand that, then the RNC, or this is also true of politicians, this is true of the Senate and the House as well, but the RNC is never going to be able to order the Republican platform in a way that fights back effectively against the Democrats' effort to subvert our freedom.
00:29:26.000So whether you're talking about the January 6th stuff, whether you're talking about Russia collusion, whether you're talking about the FBI being weaponized against conservatives, whether you're talking about the electioneering that happened both in 2020 and in 2022, if you don't acknowledge first what the problem is, you're not going to be able to present a solution to fix that.
00:29:46.000I sat down and talked to Harmeet Dylan, who is challenging Ronna Romney McDaniel for the RNC chair.
00:29:54.000I asked her first, what is the political enemy that we're facing?
00:29:57.000And what do you, how do you define what happened in 2020 related to the election?
00:30:02.000What do you think is the cause of these different cultural institutions being co-opted by the left?
00:30:09.000And the answers to those questions, before she even provides the solutions, the answer to those questions will tell you whether or not you can have confidence in the fact that she would lead the RNC in the right direction, which I believe she will.
00:30:20.000Liz Wheeler, thank you for being with us and check out the Liz Wheeler show on podcast.
