00:00:23.000 Buckle up, everybody.
00:00:24.000 Here we go.
00:00:25.000 Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:00:27.000 Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campuses.
00:00:29.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:00:32.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:00:36.000 I want to thank Charlie.
00:00:37.000 He's an incredible guy.
00:00:38.000 His spirit, his love of this country.
00:00:40.000 He's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.
00:00:46.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
00:00:55.000 That's why we are here.
00:00:58.000 Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com.
00:01:07.000 It does not look like there will be a speaker deal today.
00:01:11.000 Now, we're watching the House of Representatives drama that could change.
00:01:15.000 There are deals that are being cut.
00:01:20.000 But I want to take a step back.
00:01:22.000 Someone says here, Charlie, stop with the scare tactics.
00:01:24.000 Kevin needs to go.
00:01:26.000 I understand that.
00:01:28.000 I understand that.
00:01:29.000 That is the perspective of the audience.
00:01:31.000 Someone says, Charlie, there is no deal.
00:01:32.000 Aren't there any rhinos who will work with the communists?
00:01:36.000 And there aren't any rhinos who will work with the communists.
00:01:38.000 They're loyal to the leftist Jeffries.
00:01:41.000 Yeah, that's not true, but that's okay.
00:01:44.000 Maybe you guys know something that I don't know after working the phones for three hours with many of the Freedom Caucus people.
00:01:50.000 But let me kind of take a step back here.
00:01:54.000 Actually, yeah, let's play this.
00:01:55.000 Play Cut 53.
00:01:56.000 This is Don Bacon who says that we need to consider working with Democrats to get this deal done.
00:02:04.000 Play Cut 53.
00:02:06.000 All our committees are now shut down, and it's on these 20 people.
00:02:09.000 They're embarrassing the House.
00:02:11.000 They're embarrassing the Republicans.
00:02:12.000 They're embarrassing our country.
00:02:14.000 So I think over time with focus, we'll get some of these over.
00:02:17.000 But we also have to be willing to consider working with the Democrats at some point to get some concept, work on some concessions, to get some support there.
00:02:25.000 Look, I think Don Bacon is totally wrong here.
00:02:27.000 He shouldn't be doing that.
00:02:29.000 But that's where this is headed.
00:02:32.000 Someone says, Charlie, they're bluffing.
00:02:33.000 It's a lie.
00:02:34.000 Okay, well, let's take a step back.
00:02:35.000 Look, the emails that I'm getting from all of you is no McCarthy under any circumstances.
00:02:40.000 That is the perspective of the American grassroots and the base.
00:02:44.000 And I understand that.
00:02:45.000 I sympathize with that sentiment.
00:02:46.000 I think a lot of this is because of the $1.7 trillion omnibus that was passed in December.
00:02:55.000 I do not think that it has been properly explained or built out how large of a betrayal that is.
00:03:06.000 Now, look, the omnibus was negotiated in the Senate, and it was passed by the outgoing Democrat House.
00:03:13.000 Republicans voted against it.
00:03:16.000 And then a month later, Mitch McConnell turned around and started working with Democrats to set up a government spending bill for the next nine months.
00:03:24.000 The primary power that Republicans had was completely robbed of them.
00:03:29.000 I think that so much of what we are seeing unfold right now in the House floor is a byproduct of the $1.7 trillion omnibus bill.
00:03:42.000 Now, someone says right here, Charlie, please explain why a Republican House leadership is better than Hakeem Jeffries.
00:03:49.000 Yeah, I mean, the fact I have to explain it is a little silly.
00:03:52.000 How about Jim Jordan as the head of judiciary?
00:03:54.000 How about a Church and Pike committee?
00:03:55.000 Marjorie Taylor Greene on committees.
00:03:57.000 The Biden family being investigated, Fauci being investigated, Twitter being investigated, Google being investigated.
00:04:03.000 Someone says here, Charlie, investigations mean nothing.
00:04:05.000 That's not true.
00:04:07.000 That is not true at all.
00:04:09.000 Someone says, Charlie, you are a swamp creature for saying that there are only two options.
00:04:14.000 You're losing your credibility and are easily fooled.
00:04:18.000 Okay, Steve, let me ask you, who do you think is going to become Speaker of the House?
00:04:23.000 You have to live in the reality of the moment.
00:04:27.000 So who do you think is going to become Speaker?
00:04:29.000 I'm curious.
00:04:31.000 Who can get to 218?
00:04:33.000 I understand the sentiment.
00:04:34.000 I understand this.
00:04:36.000 Someone says, Charlie, you are just dead wrong.
00:04:38.000 I've never emailed anyone before.
00:04:39.000 This is historic, and your only two options is just faulty.
00:04:42.000 What the 20 is trying to accomplish is rules committee changes so McCarthy just can't go in and suspend the rules.
00:04:48.000 Well, no, that's what I said.
00:04:50.000 I said, but that would still make Kevin McCarthy Speaker of the House.
00:04:54.000 So is the strategy to get rid of McCarthy or is the strategy to get concessions?
00:04:58.000 If it's concessions, I think it's very admirable.
00:05:03.000 Someone says, Charlie, I'm surprised what you think are the two possibilities now.
00:05:06.000 I would have hoped that you'd understand where the Freedom Caucus is going with this.
00:05:09.000 It's trying to get rid of the GOP establishment.
00:05:11.000 Too bad you speak as you do.
00:05:13.000 You so disheartened Charlie that I'm going to have to change the channel.
00:05:16.000 Well, it's the facts.
00:05:17.000 You realize McCarthy is getting closer to becoming Speaker of the House, not further away from Speaker of the House.
00:05:24.000 That might anger you, but it's the Freedom Caucus that is actually meeting with McCarthy to make his speakership more inevitable.
00:05:32.000 There's only six or seven people, and you guys might agree with that.
00:05:35.000 That's fine.
00:05:35.000 I'm not going to say that you're wrong, that are trying to get rid of McCarthy.
00:05:38.000 14 of the 20 are actually not trying to get rid of McCarthy.
00:05:41.000 They're trying to get concessions to make the Congress more conservative.
00:05:46.000 Okay, let's play a piece of tape here.
00:05:48.000 And by the way, Don Bacon said from the floor, maybe it's time to start working with Democrats.
00:05:53.000 Let's go to here.
00:05:54.000 Let's go to Cut 54.
00:05:55.000 Matt Gates and Laura Ingram play Cut 54.
00:05:57.000 Hey, Congressman, will you be okay then if there's ultimately a deal struck with moderate Democrats that give Democrats kind of co-control of the committees?
00:06:05.000 You're fine with that.
00:06:07.000 No, absolutely not.
00:06:08.000 That will not happen.
00:06:08.000 There are two potential scenarios here.
00:06:10.000 No, listen, I'm on the floor, Laura.
00:06:12.000 These 212 Democrats are going to vote for Hakeem Jeffries every single time.
00:06:17.000 If Democrats join up to elect a moderate Republican, I will resign from the House of Representatives.
00:06:24.000 That is how certain I am.
00:06:25.000 I can assure your viewers that won't happen.
00:06:27.000 Charlie, surprise and the lack of fight in you.
00:06:29.000 That's just so silly.
00:06:30.000 It's just such a shocking thing to hear.
00:06:32.000 Lack of fight.
00:06:33.000 Right.
00:06:34.000 This is why we always lose.
00:06:35.000 At some point, you have to stand for something and be unwilling to surrender, get some stones and quit settling.
00:06:42.000 Cowardice is not a good look on you.
00:06:45.000 Right.
00:06:46.000 Charlie, we are tired.
00:06:48.000 It's time to say that we want Hakeem Jeffries or we want Byron Donalds.
00:06:53.000 Kevin McCarthy is worse than Hakeem Jeffries.
00:06:56.000 Okay, that's the perspective of the conservative grassroots.
00:07:01.000 Someone says here, Charlie, you're wrong.
00:07:02.000 They're not getting close to electing McCarthy.
00:07:05.000 You're either lying or you're being misled.
00:07:07.000 Yeah, you're wrong.
00:07:08.000 I mean, the 20 holdouts, 14 or 15 of them, they have been actually trying to bring this to the brink to get concessions from Kevin McCarthy.
00:07:19.000 That has been the strategy.
00:07:20.000 There are six or seven that are never Kevin's, but just understand what the strategy actually is here.
00:07:26.000 Now, maybe you at home, Natalie, know something I don't know after talking to 12 of the no's last night.
00:07:33.000 Maybe you're more read into that.
00:07:35.000 Someone says, Charlie, why aren't you fighting for us?
00:07:38.000 Actually, I am fighting for you.
00:07:40.000 I'm trying to prevent a uniparty speaker.
00:07:43.000 Interesting.
00:07:44.000 Email us freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:07:46.000 Subscribe to the Charlie Kirk Show podcast.
00:07:49.000 Someone says here, Charlie, I really dislike Kevin McCarthy, but this deal seems to be really good.
00:07:55.000 In life, you have to compromise at times, and it should be taken.
00:07:59.000 Someone says here, Charlie, you are not a fighter.
00:08:03.000 We need to entertain the fact that the Democrats taking the house is okay.
00:08:07.000 We need to put it all on the line and risk it for the country.
00:08:10.000 I'm surprised that you do not want to risk the house.
00:08:14.000 Okay, interesting.
00:08:15.000 Email us, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:08:18.000 Someone says here, don't be a Neville Chamberlain.
00:08:21.000 Interesting.
00:08:22.000 I'd be careful calling somebody a Neville Chamberlain if you really don't know what that means.
00:08:28.000 The $1.7 trillion omnibus was one of the main reasons that I think people are so upset.
00:08:35.000 And by the way, I'm not even saying you're wrong if you want to get rid of Kevin.
00:08:38.000 I'm not saying your sentiment is incorrect.
00:08:41.000 I'm simply telling you what is the reality, what the negotiations are happening.
00:08:45.000 You can get very upset about the reality.
00:08:47.000 That's fine.
00:08:48.000 But it is my job.
00:08:49.000 It's my obligation to you to communicate to what the members themselves are telling me.
00:08:56.000 Someone says, Charlie, stop mentioning Jeffries.
00:08:58.000 Well, no, we're getting hundreds of emails of people saying that they're comfortable with taking the risk of no McCarthy or Jeffries or saying it's exactly the same.
00:09:07.000 I reject that premise.
00:09:08.000 I do not think they're exactly the same.
00:09:11.000 Hey, I appreciate the negative emails, but I owe an obligation to you guys to tell the truth.
00:09:17.000 Where do you guys stand on this?
00:09:19.000 Email me, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:09:23.000 Charlie Kirk here.
00:09:24.000 Look, I've told you about producer Andrew and how Relief Factor has really improved his life and relieved the pain in his knees and back.
00:09:31.000 Now, let me tell you about Yvonne in California.
00:09:33.000 She says this, quote, both my husband and I are in our 70s and so grateful to have found Relief Factor.
00:09:39.000 We tried so many other solutions, but none of them have given us the freedom from aches and pains like Relief Factor.
00:09:44.000 I hear Yvonne, Relief Factor works for me too.
00:09:47.000 Relief Factor is a 100% drug-free solution developed by doctors based on scientific research to help your body attack the underlying inflammation causing you pain.

00:10:06.000 After trying Relief Factor, over half a million people have gone on to order more.

00:10:15.000 That's relieffactor.com or call 8004Relief.
00:10:18.000 Live your best life and feel the difference with Relief Factor.
00:10:24.000 Someone says here, Charlie, you are totally wrong.
00:10:26.000 It is time to risk it all.
00:10:28.000 Our country is going down.
00:10:30.000 We need to entertain the risk of losing the House of Representatives.
00:10:33.000 Boy, a lot of that kind of theme here.
00:10:36.000 Someone says, Charlie, you're too nice of a guy.
00:10:39.000 How did the election go in lawless Arizona?
00:10:42.000 I prefer listening to Gates, Boebert, and the 20 America First Patriots.
00:10:46.000 And look, I will say this, Don, thank you for the email.
00:10:48.000 I appreciate that.
00:10:49.000 And no, it didn't go well in Arizona.
00:10:51.000 And I fully acknowledge that things should have and could have gone better.
00:10:55.000 But a little cruel to mention that, but as is life.
00:11:00.000 I think that many of you that are holding the 20 people up as never Kevins need to understand that some of them are never Kevins, but 14 or 15 of them that I have communicated with are doing this to negotiate a more conservative house with Kevin still as speaker of the house.
00:11:22.000 And for that, it seems they've done a remarkably effective job.
00:11:26.000 They have.
00:11:27.000 I do think having Jim Jordan in charge of judiciary, a special investigation into Twitter, into Fauci, into the vaccines, and the CDC, the FDA, into the southern border, into Afghanistan, is something that would be worthwhile to shine a light on the darkness.
00:11:42.000 Ephesians 5, 12, expose their evil deeds.
00:11:45.000 To know the time, the place, the manner, the configuration, the funding.
00:11:50.000 Don't discount that, everybody.
00:11:52.000 Know that it's frustrating, but that's not nothing.
00:11:57.000 It's a new year, and there's one resolution you can easily tackle to do some serious good in your life.
00:12:02.000 Change the way you buy meat with Good Ranchers.

00:12:13.000 I was blown away.
00:12:14.000 We had it for Christmas.
00:12:14.000 It's amazing.
00:12:16.000 I had people asking me, Charlie, how can I get more of this?
00:12:18.000 I told them, goodranchers.com.
00:12:20.000 But look, over 85% of all the grass-fed beef in America is imported from overseas.

00:13:19.000 I really enjoyed it this Christmas.
00:13:21.000 Check it out right now: goodranchers.com.
00:13:25.000 That is goodranchers.com and goodranchers.com, promo code Kirk.
00:13:31.000 I want to just make one moral argument and then we can proceed.
00:13:39.000 The idea that it means nothing to expose dark deeds, I disagree with.
00:13:50.000 Ephesians 5:11 says to have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
00:13:57.000 It's actually our theme verse.
00:13:58.000 We have it around here somewhere.
00:13:59.000 I don't know what happened to it.
00:14:00.000 Exposing evil is a moral good.
00:14:04.000 Now, I hear you.
00:14:06.000 I share some of the negativity of Charlie.
00:14:10.000 These people never go to jail.
00:14:11.000 These people are never held accountable.
00:14:13.000 So the question is: is it better to expose and to publicize it, even though nothing might happen, or not be able to expose or publicize it at all?
00:14:22.000 The second thing is this: if Republicans are able to get this figured out and control the House, if the speaker is Jim Jordan or Kevin McCarthy or Byron Donalds or this other Kevin Hearn guy or whomever, that it's not just about investigations.
00:14:36.000 It's also about oversight.
00:14:38.000 It's about bringing the heads of departments and having them answer and do the actual check and balances work.
00:14:45.000 Now, at times, is that all bark and no bite?
00:14:48.000 Yeah, that's true.
00:14:49.000 But I would love to be able to have Matt Gates, Lauren Bobert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Andy Biggs be able to have subpoena power, subpoena power against the FBI to find out what actually happened on January 6th.
00:15:10.000 And that ties into our next guests.
00:15:12.000 And by the way, email us your thoughts, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:15:15.000 Cynthia Hughes, founder of the Patriot Freedom Project, and Jerry Perna, mother of Matthew Perna, who tragically took his own life after January 6th.
00:15:24.000 Cynthia and Jerry, welcome to the program.
00:15:27.000 Hi, Charlie.
00:15:28.000 Thank you for having us.
00:15:29.000 Thank you for having us.
00:15:30.000 And I'm his aunt.
00:15:31.000 Okay.
00:15:31.000 By the way.
00:15:32.000 Well, thank you.
00:15:32.000 Thank you both.
00:15:33.000 Tell us about both your stories and the work you're doing on this second anniversary of January 6th.
00:15:40.000 Third anniversary, but two-year anniversary.
00:15:43.000 So, Charlie, thank you for having me and Jerry and giving us the opportunity to speak out about J6, Patriot Freedom Project, and Matthew Kirna.
00:15:54.000 So I founded the Patriot Freedom Project after my own family was caught up in this train wreck and was held in solitary confinement for six straight months with one hour a day out of his cell on nonviolent charges with no criminal history.
00:16:10.000 And it became very, very frustrating.
00:16:14.000 And I decided I had to act and do something about it.
00:16:18.000 And so I connected with some families, started a family support group, connected with the great Julie Kelly.
00:16:25.000 And the next thing I knew, I was talking to Dinesh D'Souza and his amazing wife, Debbie, who graciously and generously donated to my cause.
00:16:36.000 And Patriot Freedom Project was born.
00:16:39.000 And with the help of the great Steve Bannon, we've raised over a million dollars and we've hired attorneys.
00:16:47.000 We have helped pay mortgage and rent and utility bills.
00:16:52.000 Families that have lost their health insurance because their husband is still in jail.
00:16:57.000 We've paid COBRA.
00:16:59.000 We've helped hire experts for these lawyers for trials.
00:17:04.000 And I've gotten very close with many of these families.
00:17:08.000 I spend a lot of time with the families.
00:17:10.000 I've traveled to meet many of the families.
00:17:13.000 I've had several of them in my home.
00:17:16.000 I just want to do my part and support.
00:17:18.000 I'm a person of action.
00:17:20.000 I don't like what's happening in this country.
00:17:22.000 I don't like that we're told we can't vote or support a president that we choose.
00:17:28.000 I don't like that we are ignored about election inconsistencies.
00:17:33.000 And I don't like to see American people's homes and families destroyed.
00:17:39.000 And I'd like to mention, if I could, Charlie, look what's happening with George Tanios and Julian Cater.
00:17:45.000 They're now being sued for $10 million each, along with President Trump.
00:17:50.000 And they're being accused of killing Officer Sicknick.
00:17:54.000 It's a tragedy what happened to Officer Sicknick.
00:17:56.000 We don't like to see the police assaulted, but let's be truthful.
00:18:00.000 It's already been established that these men are not responsible for what happened to Officer Sicknick on January 6th.
00:18:06.000 Their lives have been destroyed.
00:18:09.000 George has lost everything.
00:18:10.000 He has three babies.
00:18:13.000 And Julian Cater is languishing and wasting away in jail, also lost everything.
00:18:19.000 These men come from great families, and they're going to need a lot of help to fight these allegations and this latest lawsuit.
00:18:26.000 So I urge everybody to help support them and to support the Patriot Freedom Project.
00:18:31.000 We offer a lot of services here.
00:18:33.000 We have a mental health group.
00:18:35.000 We have a prayer group.
00:18:36.000 And we're doing a lot to help the lawyers.
00:18:39.000 So Cynthia continues.
00:18:41.000 Cynthia, we are at the two-year anniversary here.
00:18:44.000 Let me ask you, Violet, God bless you for the work you're doing.
00:18:47.000 And the website is patriotfreedomproject.com.
00:18:50.000 If people want to support it, I encourage them to do that.
00:18:53.000 How many people are still in pre-trial detention two years later?
00:18:59.000 So you have just over 100 people that are still, you know, that are in jail, right?
00:19:03.000 And of that number, you have maybe 40 people that are in pre-trial detention.
00:19:09.000 You have people that are awaiting sentencing.
00:19:11.000 You have people that are awaiting, who have been sentenced and are awaiting transferred to prison.
00:19:16.000 People think everybody is in the DC jail.
00:19:18.000 That's not true.
00:19:19.000 There's only about 17 or 18 guys left at the DC jail.
00:19:23.000 Some of them have already been sentenced.
00:19:25.000 Some of them are still awaiting trial, like Jose Padilla.
00:19:28.000 He has not had his day in court, and he's not going to go to trial until the summer.
00:19:33.000 He's been in jail for two years.
00:19:36.000 Pete Schwartz, he's been in jail for almost two years.
00:19:38.000 He just went to trial.
00:19:40.000 He was found guilty, of course, in record time.
00:19:42.000 And I'll tell you what's also happening in a lot of these cases.
00:19:45.000 You know, in DC, nobody's going to get a fair trial, Charlie.
00:19:48.000 All know that.
00:19:49.000 And in Pete Schwartz's trial, you had a juror in the drawer box who literally stood up in the middle of trial.
00:19:58.000 She did not like the videos that were being shown.
00:20:00.000 She ran out of the courtroom, ran out of the drawer box, ran out of the courtroom.
00:20:04.000 I mean, it's unheard of.
00:20:06.000 And there should have been a mistrial right then and there, but not this judge.
00:20:10.000 This judge said, no, we're going to continue on.
00:20:13.000 And then when the verdict came in, and all these three men were found guilty, you had jurors giving these men the middle finger.
00:20:20.000 This is unprecedented what we're dealing with.
00:20:23.000 And this DOJ is not done.
00:20:25.000 We have a very failed judicial system, and we're in big trouble here.
00:20:29.000 And we're going to be dealing with this until January of 25, when hopefully we have a president in the White House that's going to say enough is enough.
00:20:36.000 Get some pardons done.
00:20:37.000 This is ridiculous.
00:20:39.000 Jerry, tell us Matthew's story.
00:20:43.000 Matthew went into the Capitol on January 6th.
00:20:46.000 He stayed within the velvet ropes.
00:20:48.000 He didn't break in, as was reported.
00:20:50.000 He walked through an open door.
00:20:51.000 He didn't touch anything, break anything, steal anything.
00:20:55.000 He was in there for 10 minutes and he walked out the back door and he was arrested about a week later, or actually, he was, he found his picture on the FBI website a week later and he turned himself in that very same morning.
00:21:08.000 A week later, they came and arrested him and charged him with misdemeanors.
00:21:12.000 And then they, a few weeks later, they charged 240 people with the obstruction charge, which was a felony.
00:21:20.000 And that is when Matt's nightmare began.
00:21:23.000 It was 13 months of constant delays and postponements.
00:21:28.000 He was not in jail.
00:21:30.000 When he turned himself in, he was as polite and cordial and cooperative as he possibly could be with the FBI.
00:21:37.000 And in hindsight, that probably wasn't the best thing to do.
00:21:41.000 But Matt felt that this was all a huge misunderstanding.
00:21:45.000 And he did retain an attorney.
00:21:49.000 And his attorney was Democrat.
00:21:54.000 And Matt did not see a problem with that.
00:21:57.000 And that's just the way Matt was.
00:21:58.000 He wasn't a racist in any sense of the word.
00:22:01.000 He didn't see people by their religion, color, or their party affiliation.
00:22:04.000 And he felt that his attorney was the best man for the job.
00:22:09.000 But it was constantly a battle of delays and postponements that just wore him down mentally over those 13 months.
00:22:18.000 And the DOJ was not willing to budge on a plea deal of any kind.
00:22:23.000 And he had reached his breaking point in December of 2021.
00:22:31.000 And he asked his attorney, what was the best way to make this end quickly?
00:22:38.000 And his attorney says, plead guilty.
00:22:40.000 And I guarantee you won't spend more than six to 12 months in a federal prison camp.
00:22:45.000 Matt had no prior arrest.
00:22:47.000 Charlie, he never even had a parking ticket before all of this.
00:22:50.000 He had a good job.
00:22:51.000 He was an upstanding member of the community.
00:22:54.000 But the community turned on him when the media painted such a negative picture of him as they have the rest of the J-Sixers.
00:23:02.000 And he had reached the point where he wouldn't leave his home.
00:23:06.000 And so he pled guilty.
00:23:08.000 And he was supposed to have his sentencing hearing on March the 3rd of last year.
00:23:13.000 And a week before Matt called me on the phone after he spoke to his attorney, he was sobbing.
00:23:19.000 He said he had a bad feeling about March the 3rd.
00:23:21.000 It was the anniversary of his mother's death.
00:23:24.000 And his attorney told him that they had indeed postponed it until April Fool's Day and that they were actually seeking to add a terrorism enhancement at his sentencing hearing.
00:23:37.000 So his six to 12 month prison sentence, which he had accepted already and mentally prepared himself for that, was now going to be possibly changed to four to six years in jail.
00:23:51.000 And that's Friday evening on February 25th.
00:23:55.000 My nephew at 37 years old hung himself in his garage.
00:24:03.000 And our life.
00:24:05.000 Our lives and our family have not been the same and will never ever be the same.
00:24:10.000 And this DOJ is responsible for the mental torture that they put my nephew and the other J-Sixers through for non-violent misdemeanor crimes, which really, I don't even see the crime in it.
00:24:24.000 It's the people's house.
00:24:25.000 He walked into the people's house through an open door and no one stopped them.
00:24:31.000 No one arrested anybody that day.
00:24:35.000 And it ruined his life and it has ruined ours as well.
00:24:40.000 Well, we are with both of you.
00:24:42.000 And on this two-year anniversary, it's the Department of Justice who is acting in a totalitarian, Stalinistic way.
00:24:53.000 And it's not victimless in any way.
00:24:55.000 How do people support the cause?
00:24:56.000 Again, patriotfreedomproject.com, either of you.
00:25:00.000 Yes, you can visit patriotfreedomproject.com.
00:25:03.000 You can see all the ways you can support our efforts.
00:25:05.000 You can visit us on Truth Social.
00:25:07.000 You can find us on Twitter.
00:25:09.000 And you can, of course, find us on Getter, PatriotFreedomProject.com.
00:25:13.000 Also, if you would like to learn more about Matthew and the amazing life he lived, rememberingmatperna.com.
00:25:20.000 We are in the process of starting his foundation to continue his humanitarian efforts.
00:25:26.000 Thank you both.
00:25:26.000 God bless you both.
00:25:28.000 And we are behind you.
00:25:29.000 Thank you.
00:25:30.000 Thank you, Jerry.
00:25:31.000 Thank you, Charlie.
00:25:32.000 Thank you.
00:25:33.000 Heartbreaking story that we just heard from Jerry and Cynthia.
00:25:38.000 If they can't put you in prison, the regime will make you believe what is the point in living.
00:25:46.000 And the DOJ does not care.
00:25:51.000 I disagree with this email.
00:25:52.000 Charlie, I think you're measured and intelligent.
00:25:55.000 I agree with that part.
00:25:56.000 But your audience is full of morons.
00:25:59.000 I don't agree with that.
00:26:00.000 I think our audience is super smart and have been betrayed and lied to.
00:26:05.000 Thank you for having the patience to tolerate the uninformed, vapid responses you're getting from some of your listeners.
00:26:10.000 I'm watching on RAV now and some of the statements they're making attacking you and saying we're better off having Jeffries over the establishment, Rhino Hack.
00:26:16.000 McCarthy is insane thinking, goes on and compliments me.
00:26:19.000 Kelly, I appreciate the email, but I don't think the people that have been saying that are morons, nor do I think that their feeling is necessarily incorrect.
00:26:31.000 What do I mean by that?
00:26:33.000 The omnibus bill, the open border, the money to Ukraine.
00:26:37.000 You, the audience, have been betrayed.
00:26:40.000 And I hear you and I see you.
00:26:42.000 And I don't think that's a moronic thing to believe.
00:26:47.000 I would encourage, though, to try to embrace some, that's not the right word.
00:26:53.000 I would try to just have a posture of prudence of what is achievable in the art of the possible.
00:27:03.000 When I first started Turning Point USA, the national debt was $12.7 trillion.
00:27:08.000 Now it's upwards of $31 trillion.
00:27:10.000 The southern border was not being invaded, and our country has just fallen apart.
00:27:14.000 And so while I appreciate the defense and thank you for that, and by the way, I take all the criticism.
00:27:19.000 You can email me whatever you want.
00:27:21.000 I don't take it personally.
00:27:23.000 In fact, I appreciate it and I enjoy it.
00:27:27.000 I don't think that if you're saying that Hakeem Jeffries wants to be, it's the same as McCarthy, you're a moron.
00:27:32.000 I think you're wrong.
00:27:34.000 I don't think you're a moron.
00:27:35.000 That's what you're saying is, Charlie, I feel as if everybody is the same.
00:27:39.000 And that sentiment is hard to disagree with.
00:27:42.000 It really is.
00:27:43.000 That sentiment, based on the behavior, the lying, the betrayal, the deceit, is well-founded.
00:27:52.000 It's rooted.
00:27:55.000 It has a foundation in truth.
00:27:57.000 It really does.
00:27:59.000 But then at the other time, at the other side, you have to have the inverse of what is possible.
00:28:03.000 Where it's going right now, and we're looking at the votes, is Kevin McCarthy is rapidly gaining votes in this latest vote carousel.
00:28:11.000 And I don't mean carousel as if it's a circus, but it kind of is a circus.
00:28:15.000 And so we're seeing Donalds.
00:28:19.000 I don't know how Gosar voted.
00:28:22.000 I think that Kevin McCarthy will definitely fall short in this round of votes, but he'll probably fall short of 10 votes.
00:28:30.000 So it was 20 and now it's 10.
00:28:33.000 And so I suppose the question is: what is the goal?
00:28:37.000 And I've said that the goal of most of the House Republicans is not to get Kevin to resign.
00:28:43.000 The goal is to get Kevin to have a more conservative rules, steering, and policies around that.
00:28:52.000 Not saying you should have to support that, but that is the reality of what many of the people's holdouts have been this entire time to get a better deal.
00:29:00.000 And so for the first time, Dan Bishop has now voted for Kevin McCarthy.
00:29:04.000 And for the first time, Byron Donalds has now voted for Kevin McCarthy.
00:29:09.000 And so the more they negotiate, it's actually getting closer towards a McCarthy speakership, not further away.
00:29:17.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
00:29:19.000 Email me your thoughts as always: freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:29:22.000 Thank you so much for listening, and God bless.
