00:01:18.000 Getting quite a response on the Sue the View topic.
00:01:21.000 I'm going to ask our next guest about that, but I do want to ask about some other news of the day first.
00:01:27.000 Kurt Schlichter is with us.
00:01:29.000 He is always fun.
00:01:30.000 He's the author of We'll Be Back, The Fall and Rise of America.
00:01:33.000 Kurt, welcome back to the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:01:35.000 Kurt, I want to start with you about this story that seemed to be breaking the last 24 hours, suggesting that the Department of Justice is criminally investigating Donald Trump for January 6th.
00:01:48.000 What are your thoughts?
00:01:50.000 It just reminds me of Jeffrey Toobin making a Zoom call.
00:01:54.000 It's a lot of undignified activity that is ultimately sad.
00:02:02.000 Nothing's going to happen.
00:02:04.000 I hope nothing's going to happen because this is kind of a recipe for disaster.
00:02:08.000 The idea of trying a president who half the American population thinks was wrongly stripped of his victory in a Democrat stronghold, a 95% Democrat stronghold like Washington, D.C.
00:02:26.000 It's one of those things that pulls about five blocks of the Jenga Tower that is our country now.
00:02:32.000 But why wouldn't they do it then, Kurt?
00:02:33.000 I don't know if I totally see it the same way.
00:02:35.000 They'd love to unravel the country.
00:02:37.000 They would love to try to create some form of civil unrest that could only further justify their national police powers.
00:02:45.000 I mean, why wouldn't they do that?
00:02:47.000 Well, look, they very well might.
00:02:50.000 I mean, these guys aren't geniuses.
00:02:52.000 These are the same guys who brought us the Iraq war and the Afghan route and, of course, the Washington, the Wall Street meltdown.
00:03:04.000 So these aren't geniuses, Charlie.
00:03:06.000 But I'm put to mind of the place where I served in the Army last, which is Kosovo, where you had one group of people deciding they weren't going to play by the norms and rules anymore.
00:03:18.000 And for a little while, they did okay.
00:03:20.000 And at the end of the day, you know, I was walking through their utterly destroyed and ruined villages.
00:03:27.000 Okay, these things boomerang and they accelerate.
00:03:29.000 This is very dangerous stuff.
00:03:31.000 I write about in my new book, We'll Be Back, Fall About the Fall and Rise of America.
00:03:36.000 It's extremely dangerous.
00:03:38.000 It's extremely short-sighted.
00:03:39.000 And you'll notice, Charlie, I'm not talking about the legal stuff because as far as a legal case, it's absolute nonsense.
00:03:47.000 It's just ridiculous.
00:03:48.000 No, I totally agree.
00:03:48.000 Of course, of course, none of that matters.
00:03:50.000 There's no disagreement there.
00:03:52.000 And so, but the question is: will Merrick Garland then proceed with charges?
00:03:57.000 We're going to get the clip in just a second here.
00:03:59.000 But interestingly enough, Lester Holt's, the way he framed the question, the way Lester Holt framed the question was very telling.
00:04:07.000 Because Lester Holt said, don't you think this is going to tear the country apart?
00:04:10.000 And then Merritt Garland said, no one is off limits.
00:04:13.000 So, Kurt, I would love to see the active Department of Justice investigation into Bill Clinton's visits to Epstein Island if no former president is off limits.
00:04:22.000 Yeah, that's going to happen.
00:04:24.000 And it will happen.
00:04:25.000 Look, everything's on the table if they criminally charge Donald Trump with a nonsense crime in a biased venue.
00:04:33.000 I mean, everything's on the table.
00:04:35.000 And I think the Republicans are going to take back the House.
00:04:38.000 Well, and the Senate.
00:04:40.000 I mean, I think that's a done deal.
00:04:41.000 And if they want to spend the next few years responding to subpoenas, they can.
00:04:47.000 That's fine.
00:04:49.000 You know, look, I don't care what the rules are.
00:04:53.000 I've made my suggestion.
00:04:54.000 You guys got to tell me what the rules are, but you're going to play by them and it's going to hurt.
00:05:00.000 Well, the rules are constantly changing.
00:05:02.000 It seems.
00:05:02.000 I mean, obviously, they are constantly changing.
00:05:05.000 I suppose the question is then, how would we possibly respond appropriately if they were to indict Trump?
00:05:15.000 You know, it's such a, I mean, it's so absurd.
00:05:21.000 It's really hard to think, but I can see a number of things.
00:05:23.000 Certainly, there will be a pushback.
00:05:25.000 The House and the Senate will come to a complete stop.
00:05:29.000 The Department of Justice, and of course, justice being in quotation marks, will end up defunded.
00:05:36.000 So will the FBI.
00:05:37.000 It probably should happen anyway.
00:05:40.000 Boy, I could see Ron DeSantis saying, well, you know, he's a resident of Florida and you're not coming to get him.
00:05:47.000 He's just not going.
00:05:49.000 You're not getting him.
00:05:51.000 And that would be, that would initiate a constitutional crisis.
00:05:57.000 There's absolutely nothing good about this.
00:06:00.000 And again, I want to emphasize the alleged criminal charges, which I never hear what the actual charge is, but the alleged criminal charges are absurd on their face.
00:06:11.000 It's ridiculous.
00:06:12.000 You're allowed to protest an election.
00:06:14.000 If you weren't, the entire J6 kangaroo court committee would be in jail because most of them protested Bush's election and Trump's first election.
00:06:28.000 This kind of thing is unsustainable, Charlie.
00:06:30.000 You can't have two sets of justice.
00:06:32.000 And that's what they want.
00:06:33.000 And it's not going to work.
00:06:35.000 History teaches us that.
00:06:37.000 And so does our recent experience.
00:06:40.000 Yeah, it just seems as if the lack of clarity from a lot of, I don't know, conservatives on this is rather telling.
00:06:50.000 So, Kurt, I want to.
00:06:51.000 They'll get clear real quick.
00:06:53.000 And I mean, you know, we'll have that 180 pounds of miracle whip stuff in a $5,000 seat named Mitt Romney.
00:07:04.000 I'm sure he'll pipe up about, you know, with the cliché du jour.
00:07:09.000 But the rest, this is going to radicalize the conservatives, which, you know, oh no, throw me in that briar.
00:07:16.000 So, yeah, this is cut 71.
00:07:18.000 I think this tape is very telling.
00:07:20.000 So it's, I believe Lester Holt from NBC News sitting down with the Attorney General Merrick Garland.
00:07:24.000 And even the way Lester Holt asks the question, I think, is very revealing.
00:07:28.000 For example, if Lester Holt was really bought in on this idea, he would have framed it this way.
00:07:34.000 He would have said, now, Merrick Garland, a lot of your critics say that you're not moving fast enough in your indictment of Donald Trump.
00:07:43.000 What is taking you so long?
00:07:45.000 That would have been the way the regime media would have framed the question.
00:07:48.000 Instead, it's like, hey, have you thought this through?
00:07:54.000 So it's about a minute clip.
00:07:56.000 Listen to this.
00:07:56.000 It's very important, everyone.
00:07:58.000 And then Kurt, just answer right out after the clip about a minute long play cut 71.
00:08:03.000 You said in no uncertain terms the other day that no one is above the law.
00:08:07.000 That said, the indictment of a former president of perhaps candidate for president would arguably tear the country apart.
00:08:17.000 Is that your concern as you make your decision down the road here?
00:08:21.000 Do you have to think about things like that?
00:08:23.000 Look, we pursue justice without fear or favor.
00:08:28.000 We intend to hold everyone, anyone who was criminally responsible for events surrounding January 6th for any attempt to interfere with the lawful transfer of power from one administration to another accountable.
00:08:44.000 That's what we do.
00:08:45.000 We don't pay any attention to other issues with respect to that.
00:08:50.000 So if Donald Trump were to become a candidate for president again, that would not change your schedule or how you move forward or don't move forward.
00:08:58.000 I'll say again that we will hold accountable anyone who is criminally responsible for attempting to interfere with the transfer, legitimate lawful transfer of power from one administration to the next.
00:09:11.000 Kurt?
00:09:13.000 Well, that's just a flat-out lie because prosecutors, in fact, use their discretion all the time.
00:09:19.000 The Democrats or his prosecutors use their discretion not to charge actual criminals all the time.
00:09:25.000 The Justice Department uses discretion not to charge criminal rioters who happen to be left-wing all the time.
00:09:32.000 And they've used their discretion to overcharge and basically persecute and deprive the civil rights from January 6th defendants.
00:09:40.000 So he is a liar.
00:09:42.000 He is garbage.
00:09:44.000 And, you know, as much as it pains me to say we should give thanks for Mitch McConnell preventing him from getting on the Supreme Court because he's an absolute disgrace.
00:09:52.000 This is why Republicans are ill-equipped for this moment.
00:09:55.000 Republican attorney generals and governors should come out and say, if you indict Donald Trump, we will indict Hunter Biden immediately and we'll figure out the charges later.
00:10:03.000 Right?
00:10:04.000 Oh, we know he, we know Hunter Biden lied on his gun form.
00:10:08.000 Yet he's running around while the rest of us are supposed to be disarmed because a few left-wing psychotics decide to go on killings first.
00:10:17.000 Look, this is unsustainable, Charlie.
00:10:19.000 It cannot continue.
00:10:20.000 And it's not.
00:10:22.000 I think the unsustainability is the plan.
00:10:24.000 I think they want the unrest.
00:10:26.000 I think they encourage it.
00:10:27.000 I think they think that the quicker the unrest happens, God forbid, I don't want unrest and you don't either, but I think that they want it to try to justify a national power grab.
00:10:38.000 Hey, everybody, this common sense is brought to you by the folks at secondvote.com, amazing people who are fighting back against woke corporations.
00:10:46.000 Subscribe now at secondvote.com, promo code Charlie.
00:10:50.000 Good afternoon.
00:10:50.000 I'm Rebecca Hatfield, president of Second Vote.
00:10:53.000 We've had uniquely American common sense since 1776, but now we're in the age of common nonsense.
00:10:59.000 Today's common nonsense comes from the left's radical agenda.
00:11:03.000 Inflation has reached a 40-year high, and we're headed into a recession.
00:11:07.000 If you have common sense, the causes are obvious.
00:11:10.000 Extreme environmental policies, massive government spending, and woke fund managers.
00:11:15.000 The left has spent years trying to kill domestic fuel production and now energy prices are skyrocketing.
00:11:20.000 But instead of talking to American energy companies, Joe Biden is in Saudi Arabia begging Middle Eastern dictators to increase supply.
00:11:29.000 When the far left and woke corporations push extremist environmental policies, they have serious consequences.
00:11:36.000 According to research from the Heritage Foundation, American families have lost $6,800 per year due to inflation, and we'll all feel that.
00:11:46.000 When government gets bigger, our paycheck gets smaller.
00:11:49.000 And inflation is the inevitable result of massive government spending.
00:11:53.000 But inflation doesn't just affect the dollars you spend.
00:11:56.000 It also affects the dollars you invest by destroying the purchasing power of your dollar.
00:12:00.000 The Wall Street Journal recently exposed how so-called ESG funds cost between five and 15 times as much as other funds, but perform worse.
00:12:10.000 This is why secondvote.com scores hundreds of companies on whether they support the leftist extreme environmental agenda.
00:12:18.000 For 10 years, Second Vote has been looking out for conservative consumers helping you to shop your values.
00:12:23.000 I'm Rebecca Hatfield, reminding you that your first vote is at the ballot box, but your second vote is with your wallet.
00:12:29.000 Make sure you go to secondvote.com and subscribe now using promo code Charlie for just $40 for a whole year.
00:12:35.000 That's secondvote.com, promo code Charlie.
00:12:40.000 Kurt, you have some experience in defamation law.
00:12:42.000 What are your thoughts on the view?
00:12:44.000 Turning point USA being slandered and smeared by the view.
00:12:48.000 Do you think we got a shot?
00:12:49.000 Do we have a case here?
00:12:50.000 You're a lawyer.
00:12:51.000 Well, you may or may not.
00:12:53.000 Now, I'll certainly talk to you offline because I don't want to give everything away.
00:12:57.000 I'm looking on my wall.
00:12:58.000 My first plants case was a $3 million defamation win.
00:13:02.000 I also, and it's public knowledge, so I can talk about it, defended Ben Shapiro against the Clockboy lawsuit for defamation in Texas, which we won hands down.
00:13:11.000 So I know a little about this stuff.
00:13:15.000 You know, the view shouldn't be calling people Nazis, and it shouldn't be saying that people are associated with Nazis.
00:13:20.000 And I do know, I think it's cute that they, after they said that you and your organization were caborting with Nazis, they came back and read a disclaimer and then promptly said more stuff.
00:13:34.000 So I'm thinking right now there are some lawyers there pouring themselves a very stiff drink.
00:13:41.000 But don't get your hopes up.
00:13:42.000 A huge part of my practice is telling people, no, you don't have a defamation case.
00:13:47.000 And it's because we have the First Amendment.
00:13:50.000 You pretty much get to say whatever you want within very strict guidelines.
00:13:54.000 They exist, but they're very strict.
00:13:57.000 You can say what you want and no one can sue you.
00:14:00.000 And that includes bad things about other people.
00:14:04.000 It's very hard to win a defamation suit.
00:14:06.000 Maybe easier after the Supreme Court revisits something called Sullivan versus New York Times, which would affect you guys because you guys are public figures.
00:14:16.000 And the standards for abuse of public figures are much more.
00:14:19.000 Well, but hold on.
00:14:20.000 But Kurt, no, no, no.
00:14:21.000 They smeared our students, though.
00:14:22.000 Those are not public figures.
00:14:24.000 Minors.
00:14:25.000 That's a good argument.
00:14:27.000 But good arguments lose all the time.
00:14:30.000 I don't know what the answer is.
00:14:33.000 And if I did, I would tell you offline because I don't want to give their lawyers any help.
00:14:39.000 But no, I think I've seen the gist of the season to syslidar, and I think that was exactly appropriate.
00:14:47.000 I think what they did was, at the very least, morally obnoxious.
00:14:52.000 People need to stop calling other people Nazis when they're not Nazis.
00:14:57.000 I don't think that's too much to expect as society.
00:15:01.000 There are a lot of bad people out there.
00:15:03.000 You guys are not among them.
00:15:06.000 But, you know, I think people should be circumspect in how they characterize others.
00:15:12.000 Now, whether there's a remedy at law for that, that's always a very tough question.
00:15:17.000 They're very hard cases to win.
00:15:19.000 I said earlier, if there's a 50-50 shot, we're going to go ahead and do it.
00:15:22.000 I mean, look, there's never 100%, but if there's even a 50% chance, then it's worth the campaign to go against them.
00:15:29.000 I know you can't, you know, possibly hedge on one side or the other, but in kind of more generalities, you know, why is it that these people are able to continue to get away with this so many times, one after the other?
00:15:43.000 Well, look, they get away with it because the law is designed to let people get away with it.
00:15:48.000 The law is, the law disfavors defamation lawsuits.
00:15:52.000 The remedy for hostile speech is generally considered, except on college campuses where they just outlaw all speech that they don't like, is more speech.
00:16:03.000 There are certain circumstances where you can collect money damages for it.
00:16:08.000 And, you know, you guys may or may not be in that category.
00:16:13.000 And like I said, I spend in my conservative law practice, I spend an inordinate amount of time telling people, nah, you can't do it.
00:16:20.000 And here's why you shouldn't do it.
00:16:23.000 But there are other reasons.
00:16:25.000 And it is, you know, it strikes me as something that you want to explore in depth.
00:16:31.000 And of course, if you ever want to give me a call, you guys got my cell number.
00:16:34.000 Well, thank you.
00:16:34.000 Yes, we do.
00:16:35.000 Yes, Kurt, we're out of time.
00:16:36.000 Thank you.
00:16:37.000 We really appreciate it.
00:16:38.000 And we'll see what happens.
00:16:39.000 If we got a 50-50 shot, we're going for it.
00:16:41.000 We're not going to let our kids be smeared and slandered by that.
00:16:43.000 Kurt Schlichter, author of We'll Be Back, The Fallen Rise of America.
00:16:46.000 We appreciate it.
00:16:49.000 Look, inflation is out of control, and you need physical things you can touch in your investment portfolio.
00:16:56.000 Now gas is $7 a gallon.
00:16:58.000 A 10-year-old Honda Civic will set you back $20,000 and rent is $2,000 a month.
00:17:05.000 Welcome to 8.6% inflation.
00:17:08.000 And it doesn't look like it's going to get better anytime soon.
00:17:11.000 So what can you do?
00:17:12.000 You could try trading stocks or buy mutual funds, but returns are sinking fast.
00:17:17.000 You'd have to make at least 10% with charges just to break even.
00:17:21.000 And if you're looking at retiring comfortably, well, they're not even options.
00:17:25.000 You might have heard about gold IRAs, but you don't know much about them.

00:18:00.000 With us right now is one of my favorite comedians and commentators, someone who I listen to on a regular basis.
00:18:06.000 Adam Carolla, author of the new book, Everything Reminds Me of Something.
00:18:13.000 I'll make sure I got that right.
00:18:14.000 Adam, welcome back to the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:18:17.000 Thanks, Charlie.
00:18:18.000 So, Adam, what is your new book about?
00:18:21.000 Well, it's about whatever the questions were.
00:18:25.000 So, normally, this is my sixth book.
00:18:27.000 Normally, I sit down and write about what I want to write about.
00:18:31.000 In this book, I wrote about whatever anyone asked me.
00:18:34.000 So, it's celebrity questions and fan questions.
00:18:39.000 And it's an interesting process because it got me to think about things I never would have formally thought of because I would just write about the stuff I was thinking about.
00:18:49.000 And it got me out of my box and it made for some interesting dialogue.
00:18:54.000 So, I think your fans will like it.
00:18:56.000 Yeah, I'm flipping through parts of it right now.
00:18:58.000 So, this is one of the questions here.
00:19:00.000 Jesse from Lafayette, Louisiana.
00:19:02.000 It says, I have a traditional fear of death and loss of loved ones.
00:19:06.000 It clouds my thoughts and helps me from enjoying life.
00:19:10.000 I know I'm being, I won't say the word on air, let's just say weak.
00:19:14.000 But how do you block out negative thoughts of your own mortality, especially as a fellow atheist?
00:19:19.000 I don't know you're an atheist, Adam.
00:19:20.000 That's interesting.
00:19:21.000 How do you just give us a teaser?
00:19:22.000 How did you answer that in this in this book?
00:19:25.000 It seems as if there's a couple questions just around that topic here.
00:19:29.000 I'm probably somewhere between atheist and agnostic.
00:19:34.000 And it's not that I don't want to believe.
00:19:36.000 I just didn't grow up in that environment.
00:19:39.000 So I didn't have any base for it in my life.
00:19:44.000 I can't remember what I told that guy to do.
00:19:46.000 I think I told him to tell him something.
00:19:48.000 Yeah, you said my advice is to get super busy.
00:19:50.000 That's what you said.
00:19:51.000 If you have a bunch of responsibilities, you wouldn't care if you died.
00:19:54.000 It would almost be a relief.
00:19:56.000 Yeah, I feel like I had this thought, like, and it's funny.
00:20:00.000 I talked to Dr. Drew about it.
00:20:02.000 You may feel this way as well.
00:20:03.000 I think maybe Dennis Brager feels this way as well, which is, I used to dread cross-country airline flights.
00:20:10.000 I'd be like, oh, six hours of sitting in the same seat.
00:20:14.000 I'm so busy now that I actually look forward to a six-hour airline.
00:20:18.000 It's like, oh, I get left alone.
00:20:20.000 The phone's not going to ring.
00:20:22.000 I can read something.
00:20:23.000 That's exactly right.
00:20:23.000 You know, it's so weird.
00:20:25.000 And I realized death is really just the next logical extension to a six-hour airline flight that you're looking forward to.
00:20:34.000 Yes, especially in the third world country we live in now when it's four hours delayed and you have two people breathing all over you.
00:20:41.000 And so you kind of go through all these different topics here.
00:20:44.000 And it's basically, you could call it an ask me anything basically that you did here, Adam, kind of like what you used to do on Reddit before it became a total cesspool.
00:20:53.000 And you just answer questions from your listeners.
00:20:55.000 So you've written a couple books and it's around the, you definitely have some themes here that I think are super interesting, which is you're one of the most successful comedians ever, and especially of our era, and you are outspoken against all this woke stuff.
00:21:07.000 Adam, it's been a while since we've had a chance to chat.
00:21:10.000 Have you seen any progress at all as far as people pushing against this woke stuff in comedian circles?
00:21:15.000 Or is it just getting worse and the country is just becoming less funny, to put it bluntly?
00:21:21.000 I think guys like Bill Maher are sort of the canary in the coal mine for us.
00:21:28.000 People who think like we think, you know, two years ago, I didn't hear much from him or much pushback in the last four months.
00:21:36.000 It's a constant pushback against the woke progressive movement.
00:21:41.000 So if you took Bill Maher, not that he speaks for every comedian, but just that he's a good kind of bellwether.
00:21:49.000 He's a guy who's liberal and he's left, but he's also intellectually honest and he also believes in freedom of speech.
00:21:57.000 And when you hear guys like that piping up about this subject, that means the pendulum is starting to swing back.
00:22:04.000 Yes.
00:22:05.000 Yeah, I agree with that.
00:22:06.000 You also made another point recently, Adam, that I've heard you say, which is that the smart people are starting to defect from the woke.
00:22:16.000 That you're starting people like Glenn Greenwald and Matt Taibbi.
00:22:19.000 And can you build that out a little bit more?
00:22:22.000 Greg Gutfeld mentioned this as well over the weekend, that the people that kind of are able to sustain themselves outside of an infrastructure of teen vogue or whatever, they're actually pushing back against this.
00:22:35.000 Can you help elaborate on that?
00:22:37.000 Yeah, it was funny.
00:22:39.000 I was interviewing Gutfeld when I was in New York for my podcast, and we were having a really interesting conversation.
00:22:47.000 And I came up with this hypotheses because we're kind of wondering who are the people that are stepping outside of the line on the left and speaking their mind.
00:22:59.000 Who are the people that are risking getting fired from their job because they're stepping up and they're speaking up?
00:23:07.000 And I said, I think it's the people who are good or and or I should put a finer point on it, who are excellent and understand it, which is to say, and I come from a blue collar world.
00:23:21.000 I have a guy who works for me right now.
00:23:24.000 His name is Sean.
00:23:25.000 He makes good money.
00:23:26.000 He's a fabricator.
00:23:27.000 He puts cars together.
00:23:29.000 He puts metal together.
00:23:30.000 He's very skilled at what he does.
00:23:33.000 I can't push him around.
00:23:35.000 If I start pushing him around, he'll go across the street.
00:23:39.000 He'll quit.
00:23:40.000 Not that I want to push him around, but he's not going to take a bunch of, you know, I'm not going to be able to say, look, wear double mask and you got to pledge allegiance to the January 6th committee.
00:23:51.000 He'll just go, F you, I'm going across the street because he has a skill, a very candid are good at what they do.
00:24:02.000 Most people are trying to hang on to a job and they live in the middle.
00:24:06.000 So if you work for the Los Angeles Times, you work for the New York Times, you better shut up because you're lucky to have a job.
00:24:13.000 When you're excellent and you sort of know it, you can go, I disagree with the powers that be.
00:24:20.000 And if you want to fire me, fire me.
00:24:21.000 I'll go across the street.
00:24:23.000 I'll go make, I'll go make my own job.
00:24:25.000 And I've always felt that way comedically.
00:24:28.000 I've always felt like I'm good.
00:24:30.000 And everyone is always like, well, why don't you toe the party line?
00:24:33.000 Or how come you don't do this?
00:24:34.000 Or how come you don't agree with that?
00:24:36.000 I'm like, I have a sense of humor.
00:24:38.000 I don't have to do that.
00:24:39.000 If you're somewhere in between and there's people in between in metal fabrication, there's people in between in journalism and there's people in between in comedy.
00:24:49.000 You better shut up.
00:24:51.000 And that's why you get an overwhelming majority of people going along with this crap, not because they believe it, but because they're so so at their job and they're scared.
00:25:01.000 That is so smart.
00:25:03.000 And people like Joe Rogan, for example, he's like, I don't have to put up with your stuff.
00:25:07.000 I don't.
00:25:08.000 I'm going to do whatever I want.
00:25:09.000 And but the people that don't have a lot of talent, they're really afraid of not being part of a massive organization.
00:25:16.000 And yeah, you're seeing that gravitation of talent.
00:25:21.000 So that's a perfect segue to The View, which has made recent news in a couple of days.
00:25:26.000 As you probably saw, Adam, maybe not.
00:25:28.000 The View comes out and smears all of our turning point USA students as Nazis.
00:25:32.000 Whoopi Goldberg can't help herself.
00:25:35.000 What's your thoughts on this entire thing?
00:25:36.000 I mean, The View used to be kind of somewhat of a show that was down the middle.
00:25:40.000 Now it's just become a far left wing Democrat propaganda program.
00:25:43.000 What are your thoughts on this?
00:25:45.000 Well, just from a, let's just approach it.
00:25:48.000 Forget about their politics for a second.
00:25:51.000 Let's just approach it from a pure entertainment standpoint.
00:25:57.000 There are some of the least talented cows in the world on that show.
00:26:01.000 They are so unfunny.
00:26:02.000 They've dropped funny.
00:26:04.000 They've dropped entertaining.
00:26:05.000 They're now just up there railing against whoever they perceive to be on the right.
00:26:10.000 So just from a purely, you know, pure entertainment standpoint, they should be taken off the air.
00:26:17.000 But also, Charlie, I was watching some of the coverage of the fake Nazis outside of your event.
00:26:26.000 And I was thinking to myself, what are they protesting?
00:26:29.000 Like, there's a few different ways you could perceive that.
00:26:33.000 Nazis hate turning point or Nazis wish they could have got in to give give a symposium.
00:26:41.000 Like, I'm not even able to do the math correctly.
00:26:44.000 Usually when people, when the trans community comes out, they are coming out against Dave Chappelle.
00:26:54.000 So they're not saying Dave Chappelle is trans.
00:26:57.000 They're trans, and they're coming out against the opposite of trans.
00:27:01.000 So if you have neo-Nazis protesting out in front, then it should be an event for the Jewish Americans of Unite or something, right?
00:27:12.000 That's exactly right.
00:27:13.000 That's what never made sense to me.
00:27:15.000 Is that are they telling us that we are, we're not Nazis, therefore they're against us?
00:27:22.000 And the whole thing didn't make any sense whatsoever.
00:27:24.000 And of course, the view comes out and they smear us.
00:27:29.000 So, Adam, we're almost out of time.
00:27:31.000 I want to just mention the book again.
00:27:33.000 And the book is Everything Reminds Me of Something and it's going to do very, very well.
00:27:40.000 Everyone should pick up a copy.
00:27:41.000 Any other thoughts on this, Adam, on your book that you want our audience to be aware of?
00:27:46.000 Well, first and foremost, unlike The View, it's funny.
00:27:49.000 I realize my job is to be funny.
00:27:51.000 No, I just laughed.
00:27:52.000 I was laughing reading parts of it.
00:27:53.000 It's hilarious.
00:27:54.000 It is.
00:27:54.000 It's really good.
00:27:55.000 And, you know, things get political, people take sides, so on and so forth.
00:28:00.000 But first and foremost, it's always funny, just like all my books are.
00:28:04.000 So if you want a little break and you want to laugh, by all means, but go to Amazon and read the reviews.
00:28:10.000 And if it doesn't seem funny to you, then don't buy it.
00:28:13.000 But if it does, get two of them.
00:28:15.000 One of my favorite parts of the book is this guy says, Where's the worst place you ever visited?
00:28:18.000 And it says it's Joe from Middleton, Delaware.
00:28:20.000 And you give some answer and he said, Well, actually, no, it was probably Middleton, Delaware.
00:28:24.000 So hilarious.
00:28:26.000 Adam, thank you so much.
00:28:28.000 Again, everyone go pick up a copy of the book.
00:28:30.000 Adam is a comedian and he's good at it and he's refused to bend a knee to all these people.
00:28:35.000 Everything reminds me of something by Adam Carolla.
00:28:37.000 Adam, thank you so much.
00:28:38.000 Thanks, Charlotte.
00:28:39.000 Appreciate it.
00:28:40.000 So we're going to be doing an entire press campaign on this.
00:28:44.000 I'm only going to touch on this briefly, but we've had a little bit of a busy week.
00:28:49.000 Student Action Summit, The View, and the college scam.
00:28:52.000 We have a lot going on.
00:28:53.000 But I do want to mention another thing that Turning Point USA is doing, where we have had a donor step up and we are funding a billboard campaign across the heartland of the country with this messaging.
00:29:03.000 We are doing these billboards all across America saying Bill Gates and the CCP are buying up farmland across America.
00:29:10.000 Who is letting this happen?
00:29:12.000 So we are having these billboards all across America trying to raise awareness in the heartland.
00:29:17.000 We right now have billboards in Montana.
00:29:19.000 We have them in Minnesota.
00:29:21.000 We have them in South and North Dakota because as you well know, Republican governors are okay, it seems as if, with Bill Gates buying up all this farmland, with the CCP buying up this farmland.
00:29:32.000 I believe this is one of the most important issues.
00:29:34.000 By the way, billboards are super cheap and they get the word out.
00:29:37.000 Why is it that we are allowing kleptocrats and the Chinese Communist Party to come in and purchase our fertile farmland?
00:29:45.000 Now, if you go actually into the World Economic Forum, we played this tape previously, we'll play it again.
00:29:49.000 Jane Goodall, remember, she said that the world's problems will be solved by mass depopulation.
00:29:55.000 Bill Gates buying up the farmland has flirted with the depopulation movement before, play cut one.
00:30:02.000 We cannot hide away from human population growth because, you know, it underlies so many of the other problems.
00:30:09.000 All these things we talk about wouldn't be a problem if there was the size of population that there was 500 years ago.
00:30:17.000 Now, Bill Gates said once, quote, the world today has about 6.8 billion people.
00:30:22.000 That's headed up to about 9 billion.
00:30:23.000 Now, if we do a really great new job on vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we can lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent.
00:30:31.000 Gates allegedly was talking about the reducing the rate of population growth, not by population by 10 or 15 percent.
00:30:38.000 Gates said, quote, amazingly, as children survive, parents feel as if they'll have enough kids to support them in their old age, so they'll choose to have less children.
00:30:45.000 So, it is a stated goal of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to try to say we need less people on the planet in population growth.
00:30:53.000 It's a little bit murky.
00:30:54.000 I'm not going to label him by saying that Bill Gates himself has been advocating for total depopulation.
00:31:02.000 I do have my suspicions that that is a deeply held sentiment of his.
00:31:06.000 However, the point is: why would we allow the Chinese Communist Party, the sworn enemy of the United States, and Bill Gates to buy up this farmland?
00:31:13.000 Well, in a state near you, Turning Point USA is putting up billboards trying to raise awareness on this.
00:31:19.000 And for all of you listening in North Dakota, for all of you listening in South Dakota, for all of you listening in Arkansas, why are your governors allowing this to happen?
00:31:28.000 You know, a good fellow patriot and a friend of mine is Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
00:31:33.000 If Sarah Huckabee Sanders becomes governor of Arkansas, I am going to personally lobby her that it's illegal that Bill Gates should be able to own all this farmland in Arkansas.
00:31:41.000 It should not be allowed.
00:31:43.000 Now, some people say they've emailed the freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:31:46.000 Charlie, it's a free market.
00:31:48.000 How dare you try to prevent the private property rights of another?
00:31:51.000 Look, I love free markets, and free markets need to serve people.
00:31:54.000 However, when markets start to serve people that hate America, such as Bill Gates and the Chinese Communist Party, are we just going to stick to the same old sound bites?
00:32:03.000 Or will we make prudent and small and proper adjustments to say that someone like Bill Gates should not be disenfranchising the normal everyday American worker or farmer so that he can own another couple hundred thousand pieces of farmland?
00:32:17.000 By the way, why do we allow the Chinese Communist Party to buy farmland near our military installations?
00:32:23.000 Can we buy farmland near CCP military installations?
00:32:26.000 Do you think American citizens can go into China and buy farmland next to the Chinese Air Force bases?
00:32:32.000 Yet we allow the Chinese Communist Party to come into North Dakota and to go buy farmland near the military base, all of which is sponsored by Governor Bergnam in North Dakota.
00:32:40.000 He's a fan of it.
00:32:42.000 He's a super fan.
00:32:43.000 He actually helped foster this to happen.
00:32:47.000 This is something that we're continuing to do at Turning Point USA.
00:32:50.000 We're going to keep the exposure up.
00:32:52.000 Just asking the question, why are we allowing this to happen?
00:32:54.000 Nonpartisan educational campaign.
00:32:56.000 Why are we allowing Bill Gates and the CCP to buy up our precious farmland?
00:33:03.000 As always, you can email us your thoughts, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:33:06.000 I want your thoughts throughout the day.
00:33:08.000 Someone just said here, Anthony said, Charlie, sue the View.
00:33:11.000 Make them Turning Points top donor.
00:33:14.000 We are contemplating massive legal action against the View.
00:33:20.000 And we're going to see what our chances are.
00:33:22.000 Lawyers have different opinions, so we're going to look at all of them and we'll see what happens.
00:33:26.000 Email us as alwaysfreedom at CharlieKirk.com.
00:33:29.000 That is freedom at CharlieKirk.com.
00:33:31.000 Again, it is College Scam Book Launch Week.
00:33:33.000 You guys will see me on Jesse Waters tonight, as well as some other programs throughout the week, collegescam.com.
00:33:39.000 It's one way that you guys can support Turning Point USA.
00:33:47.000 Thank you so much for listening, everybody.
00:33:48.000 Email me your thoughts as always freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:33:51.000 Thank you so much for listening.
00:33:52.000 God bless.
