00:01:42.000 I remember back in December of 2022, minding my own business.
00:01:46.000 I was somewhat interested in the RNC thing.
00:01:48.000 It wasn't a top priority.
00:01:49.000 I was, you know, looking at the results as they were coming in and was very underwhelmed.
00:01:55.000 And I learned more and I learned more and met with Tyler and who's part of the RNC.
00:02:00.000 And he said, this is, we got to make some changes here.
00:02:03.000 I expected Rana to resign.
00:02:05.000 In December of 2022, I expected Rana to resign and for a new election for RNC chair to occur, but it was the opposite.
00:02:13.000 It was death gripping on power.
00:02:15.000 It was Rana saying that we're going to stay.
00:02:18.000 We've done a great job.
00:02:20.000 Then I remember out of nowhere, she went on Brian Kilmead's radio program and attacked me in Turning Point, really belittling us.

00:02:27.000 It was unusual.
00:02:28.000 Somebody obviously told her to do it, and we responded on social media.
00:02:32.000 It was a cheap shot.
00:02:34.000 She delivered a cheap shot towards Turning Point. 0.99

00:02:40.000 And the RNC then kept on planting stories against Turning Point.

00:02:47.000 We were just kind of minding our own business and they were leaking stories about how we were to blame for the Cary Lake debacle in Arizona.

00:02:55.000 They were leaking stories for that.

00:02:59.000 We thought that the RNC was important, but it would kind of sort itself out.

00:03:09.000 So then we went to AmericaFest 2022 and took a poll.
00:03:12.000 We took a poll amongst all of our attendees.

00:03:16.000 And it was like 95% wanted Rana to resign.
00:03:20.000 I said, wow, well, our audience, the grassroots, want Rana out of the way.
00:03:23.000 The RNC is not being run well.
00:03:26.000 There's so much potential.
00:03:28.000 We need a healthy and a robust RNC.
00:03:30.000 So we got behind Harmeet Dylan and we were warned by people, oh, Charlie, don't do this.
00:03:34.000 You don't want to make an enemy out of the RNC.
00:03:37.000 So you know what?
00:03:38.000 We have to do what we have to do.
00:03:39.000 Many other groups, they were very afraid.
00:03:41.000 They stayed on the fringes.
00:03:42.000 They stayed on the sidelines.
00:03:44.000 They said, oh, boy, we don't want to make an enemy out of Rana.
00:03:47.000 We don't want to make an enemy out of the RNC.
00:03:49.000 However, we decided to go for it.
00:03:51.000 And we were unsuccessful in Dana Point, California.
00:03:54.000 Rana won another term.
00:03:57.000 The members of the RNC thought she was doing wonderful.
00:04:00.000 They thought the fact that the RNC was not raising a lot of money, they thought that barely winning the House was terrific.
00:04:09.000 But I certainly learned a lot.
00:04:11.000 And we said, okay, maybe they're going to change their ways.
00:04:13.000 Maybe they're going to rededicate themselves to the grassroots.
00:04:16.000 Maybe they'll reach out to the dissident groups and build coalitions.
00:04:20.000 We got a lot of things going on around here.
00:04:22.000 It's not a sole focus.
00:04:24.000 We have over 400 people on staff.
00:04:26.000 We have 300,000 grassroots donors.
00:04:28.000 We have thousands of chapters.
00:04:30.000 We have Blexit, Turning Point Academy, TPUSA Faith coming up next week, week from today.
00:04:34.000 We have the largest pastor summit happening in the country.
00:04:37.000 We got all of our campus tours.
00:04:38.000 I got my speaking stuff, three hours of radio a day.
00:04:41.000 We got a lot going on.
00:04:42.000 The Turning Point Action Conference, America Fest, Young Women's Leadership Summit.
00:04:46.000 We have a lot happening here.
00:04:49.000 Long list of stuff because we're doers at Turning Point.
00:04:53.000 But they didn't change their ways.
00:04:54.000 Instead, they decided to continue in their pattern of DC-centric, smug, elitist, losing culture.
00:05:06.000 We wanted the RNC to show that they had an intent to win.
00:05:10.000 And so the fight continued.
00:05:12.000 We started to ask questions in the spring of last year.
00:05:14.000 What is the RNC doing?
00:05:15.000 And they started to announce all these nauseating debates.
00:05:18.000 And one day I'll be able to tell you the full backstory of what the RNC tried to do to me and actually this show.
00:05:24.000 I won't, I'm not at liberty to share that story, but it was very nasty.
00:05:29.000 We just kept our head down and we kept on working.
00:05:31.000 The RNC was more focused throughout the months of the summer and the fall, planting stories against me, planting stories against this program to try to derail us than actually hiring ballot chasers, trying to defeat Joe Biden or trying to build a strong party because they will not allow a rebellion because they're getting far too powerful, far too comfortable being at the top of the RNC.
00:05:51.000 And still, we kept the pressure on.
00:05:54.000 We had show after show where we asked questions and they got very unsettled.
00:05:59.000 And then back in the fall, they launched another story where they circulated a hit piece from the Associated Press.
00:06:04.000 And they came after us and we just kept on building and building and we kept on showing the world what the RNC was not doing.
00:06:12.000 And then of course, a couple of weeks ago, the RNC announced the worst fundraising totals in the last 30 years adjusted for inflation.
00:06:20.000 And I want to make it very clear.
00:06:21.000 It wasn't just the public attacks, which I'm going to get to in a second.
00:06:24.000 We were hearing privately the head of the RNC, Rana, was badmouthing us, belittling our contribution, saying turning point's not that big, turning point's not important.
00:06:32.000 Even though we have 400 full-time staff, I think the RNC has maybe 30 or 40, maybe.
00:06:37.000 And they continued their assault against Turning Point, continued their character assassination campaign against me, trying to spread lies and falsehoods.
00:06:48.000 Meanwhile, we are hiring hundreds of ballot chasers in Battleground States.
00:06:51.000 And I will ask again, how many ballot chasers is the RNC going to have on their payroll in mid-April?
00:06:57.000 What have they done to secure our elections?
00:06:59.000 The answer is next to nothing and nothing, because the standard is so low for them.
00:07:05.000 But we kept the pressure on, and a big decision needed to be made.
00:07:08.000 Met with Tyler back in December and the whole team, Turning Point Action team, and we said, hey, we need RNC regime change.
00:07:16.000 The RNC is not raising money.
00:07:18.000 The grassroots don't trust her.
00:07:19.000 Big donors are increasingly not supporting her.
00:07:22.000 I remember when we were at our Mar-a-Lago gala for Turning Point USA and Turning Point Action, one of our donors went up and gave a speech, and I didn't tell him to say this, but he said, stop giving money to Rana and the RNC.
00:07:34.000 And 800 of our biggest donors stand up in applause.
00:07:38.000 Of our biggest donors, I said, oh boy, this is a top-down, bottom-up squeeze of the RNC.
00:07:42.000 They have lost trust across the board.
00:07:44.000 Anybody with eyes to see and ears to hear can internalize that the RNC is not representing their voters with a mandate to win.
00:07:54.000 So, I remember we met with the team and we said, Hey, where's this winter meeting coming up?
00:07:59.000 And Tyler said, Oh, nothing really is going to happen at this winter meeting.
00:08:01.000 I said, That's not good enough.
00:08:03.000 We came to the conclusion that we need to host an alternative RNC meeting.
00:08:08.000 And I said, I joked around with the team.
00:08:10.000 I said, Remember, you guys remember when we said this on our program?
00:08:13.000 I said, They're going to send out an assassin against us.
00:08:16.000 I said, They're going to plant stories.
00:08:18.000 They're going to smear us because the RNC is far more focused on petty personal vendettas than they are actually trying to build a party to win.
00:08:28.000 Instead of taking a message from Turning Point, wow, they're gaining a lot of attention, momentum, they're having a lot of success.
00:08:36.000 They are going to try to destroy us.
00:08:37.000 And we were ready for it.
00:08:38.000 We braced for impact.
00:08:41.000 And this last week, we saw it begin to manifest.
00:08:44.000 None of this comes as a surprise to us, but I'm leading today with this program so you get a picture and a window into the RNC.
00:08:52.000 Instead of trying to use every ounce of energy, every ounce of attention, every favor that you could possibly cash in to build a party, defeat the Democrats coming into November, while we are busy at Turning Point with so many projects I can't even see straight, the priority of the outgoing RNC chair, Rana,
00:09:15.000 is to work with NBC News to try and attack Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA and Turning Point Action.
00:09:24.000 Published yesterday, conservative activist Charlie Kirk helped oust Rana McDaniel at the RNC.
00:09:30.000 Now the knives are out for him.
00:09:33.000 The amount of focus and energy that the RNC has dedicated to try to destroy me and Turning Point is remarkable.
00:09:42.000 Instead of saying, boy, we're running out of time.
00:09:46.000 We don't have early state infrastructure.
00:09:48.000 We're not raising a lot of money.
00:09:49.000 Instead of spending money trying to heal relationships with donors and pass off the RNC to the next inevitable chair, now we're going to get into this in a second.

00:10:00.000 It switches back and forth between suggesting we're immensely powerful and that we're impotent and failing and that we're too radical to associate with.

00:10:11.000 Use unnamed sources throughout, but of course, it was Rana and her media henchmen that developed this and floated this.
00:10:21.000 And we say, we're ready for it.
00:10:23.000 We rise above it.
00:10:24.000 They're very bothered and worried.
00:10:27.000 Meanwhile, we have work to do.

00:10:32.000 But I'm going to kind of paint this picture more so you realize exactly how the RNC operates.

00:12:26.000 Founded in 2012, Turning Point USA has turned into a quasi-party apparatus.
00:12:31.000 And it says one of the main beneficiaries has been former President Trump.
00:12:34.000 It's true, we've had his back at Turning Point Action and continue to.
00:12:37.000 It goes on to basically say in both articles that Rana and the RNC thinks that Charlie Kirk and this program should not be taken seriously because of first, what we said in regards to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
00:12:53.000 We talked about how we want to build a society based on merit, not on race.
00:12:59.000 The RNC finds that very troubling.
00:13:02.000 They think that, I guess, race-based hiring is a good thing. 1.00

00:13:08.000 They also didn't like the very thoughtful, intellectual segment we did with Vince Everett Ellison about MLK.

00:13:40.000 We're in the midst of an election, and they're focused about using their energy to leak stories against conservatives that are actually doing work.

00:13:50.000 I can go in great length and show you all the success that Turning Point has, all the measurable wins, or I can show you this clip from our Restoring National Confidence Summit on how they are bragging about how Turning Point Action is moving the dial, is helping the grassroots.

00:19:20.000 Well, look, I think we've got to have the energy.
00:19:23.000 First of all, you can't win a presidential election, of course, without the help of the RNC.
00:19:27.000 There are fundraising goals that obviously we need to meet.
00:19:31.000 We see that the Democrats basically have a war chest.
00:19:33.000 I mean, they're running basically a corpse and Joe Biden.
00:19:36.000 And that should be an easy lift for us, right?
00:19:39.000 You look at Joe Biden.
00:19:40.000 This guy can barely string a sentence together, Charlie, but he's got the machine behind him.
00:19:44.000 He's got the mainstream media.
00:19:46.000 He's got the Democrat machine behind him.
00:19:47.000 He's got a lot of money behind him.
00:19:49.000 So we've got to start raising some money on the Republican side of the aisle.
00:19:53.000 And I think the truth is, whenever you look at the RNC as a whole, there are a lot of people out there who say, hey, I don't know if I want to give my money to this entity because I don't really know if it's going to the causes that I care about.
00:20:04.000 I don't know if it's going to support the candidates that I care about.
00:20:07.000 Obviously, for me, that is goal number one.
00:20:10.000 We need to ensure that every single penny that we raise at the RNC, if I am elected co-chair, is going to ensuring Donald Trump becomes the 47th president, ensuring we expand our lead in the House, ensuring we take back the Senate with America first candidates.

00:20:27.000 It's vital, but we don't get there without a secure and a fair and a free election.
00:20:34.000 And I think that one of the things that has been lacking whenever you look at us on the conservative side of the aisle is we've kind of had this notion that, yeah, it would be great if we had one day of voting and we all went and voted on the election day and there were paper ballots and it was all, you know, sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows.

00:20:54.000 We obviously know there's early voting in so many states across this country.
00:20:57.000 We know how the Democrats have been ballot harvesting for years, some places legal, some places maybe not so legal.

00:23:34.000 We know how much better off his life would actually be if he decided, you know what, I'm not going to give this thing another go.

00:25:51.000 Lady Justice is supposed to be blind, but you take a look at this ruling in New York, you know, in a state and in a city, quite frankly, that is just going straight down the tubes.
00:26:03.000 These people are more concerned with a political vendetta against Donald Trump than they actually are about cleaning up the streets of New York, protecting the citizens of New York State and New York City.

00:26:17.000 And, you know, like I was just saying, it would have been easy for Donald Trump to say, I'm not going to run this time around because I know they're going to go after me.

00:26:26.000 If Donald Trump were not the leading candidate for the Republican nomination, there's no doubt none of these things would be going on with him.

00:26:44.000 They made hundreds of millions of dollars.

00:26:53.000 Letitia James, the attorney general of the state of New York, who ran a campaign on taking down one man, his company and his family, forget about the New York citizens. 0.87
