00:01:27.000 Joining us now is Ambassador Sam Brownback, former U.S. Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom.
00:01:33.000 Ambassador, thank you for taking the time.
00:01:35.000 The oldest Christian country in the world, Armenia, is under attack.
00:01:40.000 Walk us through what's happening in Armenia right now.
00:01:43.000 Well, it's basically a continuation of what Turkey tried to do to him 100 years ago.
00:01:48.000 Turkey had a genocide of Armenia.
00:01:51.000 It was a million Christians killed 100 years ago.
00:01:55.000 Hitler famously said, who remembers the Armenians before his own genocide that he did on the Jewish people?
00:02:02.000 And you're seeing Erdogan, the head of Turkey, pushing, prodding, allowing, enabling Azerbaijan to take over and kick out 120,000 Christians in Nagora-Karabakh, which had been a Armenian settlement within Azerbaijan and now threatening Armenia.
00:02:24.000 I mean, Azerbaijan is with the backing of Turkey to attack Armenia proper.
00:02:29.000 That's what's taking place, and nobody's talking about it.
00:02:32.000 That's what's really discouraging about this.
00:02:35.000 Yeah, so I don't understand.
00:02:36.000 I mean, here we have 125,000 Christians that are being forcibly moved.
00:02:40.000 Is that right?
00:02:41.000 Or that?
00:02:42.000 Yeah.
00:02:43.000 Why?
00:02:44.000 First of all, where's the faith community on this?
00:02:46.000 I haven't heard a lot of the major Christian leaders.
00:02:49.000 I mean, God bless you for speaking out about it.
00:02:51.000 What's going on?
00:02:54.000 I think people get confused or they get back and forth saying, well, it's Armenia's side.
00:03:00.000 It's Azerbaijan's side.
00:03:02.000 It just kind of goes back and forth.
00:03:04.000 Azerbaijan has played this very well on top of it.
00:03:07.000 They have built a good relationship with Israel of sorts.
00:03:10.000 Now, recently, they didn't vote to condemn Hamas.
00:03:13.000 So hopefully that's going to break that alliance some.
00:03:16.000 But Azerbaijan has gotten weaponry from the United States.
00:03:20.000 It's been helpful for us against Iran.
00:03:23.000 But now with Turkey's backing, they are really going at these Armenian Christians.
00:03:30.000 And we're just not doing anything.
00:03:31.000 And I think most people just get kind of befuddled.
00:03:34.000 Well, it's a he said, she said.
00:03:36.000 I'm not sure which way this is going.
00:03:38.000 What has happened is 120,000 Armenian Christians who have lived in the same place.
00:03:44.000 Their ancestors have for 2,000 years have been run out of Nagora-Karabakh.
00:03:48.000 And now they're concerned about Armenia proper being attacked by Azerbaijan.
00:03:53.000 Well, yeah, talk more just about the focus of our, so we're super concerned as a country, I guess, about Russia and Ukraine.
00:04:00.000 For good reason, Israel and the Gaza thing gets a lot of attention, but this has just been so de-emphasized.
00:04:05.000 And just talk more to our audience about Armenia, a Christian country, the oldest Christian country in the world.
00:04:13.000 And there was a genocide of the Armenian people, but Turkey, a member of NATO, did the genocide, and then it gets covered up in the Western world.
00:04:23.000 Talk about that.
00:04:25.000 Well, this is at the end of World War I, about 1915.
00:04:29.000 There's the Armenian genocide.
00:04:30.000 As I mentioned earlier, about a million, could be a million and a half Armenian Christians were just killed by the Ottoman, the falling of the Ottoman Empire.
00:04:39.000 And it was just kind of not anybody paid much attention to it.
00:04:44.000 Armenia is a small Christian country that's kind of right there in the Middle East.
00:04:49.000 It's an ancient Christian population.
00:04:53.000 And it just gets overlooked.
00:04:56.000 And then for a long period of time, Charlie, here was an issue was their defender was Russia.
00:05:03.000 Russia has defended Armenia for a long period of time.
00:05:06.000 And so I think the West kind of looked at it and said, well, okay, that's what the Russians are doing there.
00:05:12.000 And the Armenians were fine with it.
00:05:14.000 It was really a marriage of necessity that they were in that region.
00:05:18.000 But recently, Armenia has started to go more democratic as an open society and wanting to embrace the West.
00:05:25.000 Well, as soon as you do anything like that, the Russians shoot you.
00:05:30.000 They don't want anything to do with democracy.
00:05:33.000 They don't want anything to do with an open society, even if it's another Christian nation.
00:05:39.000 And that's really put Armenia in this situation where they're kind of swimming between two boats.
00:05:45.000 They've left Russia, but the West hasn't picked them up yet.
00:05:49.000 And I think that's part of the reason why you haven't seen a lot of Christian communities talking about it.
00:05:55.000 Yeah, that's a good explanation.
00:05:58.000 But, you know, for example, on social media, there's massive uproar about the plight of the Muslims and this nonsense about Israeli genocide on Gaza, all a bunch of trash, right?
00:06:10.000 That none of that stuff is true.
00:06:12.000 And there's no sympathy at all for Christians.
00:06:16.000 Like nobody cares at all whatsoever about why, why do you think there's so much Christian hatred?
00:06:23.000 Oh, I wish I knew the answer to that one.
00:06:26.000 And you see, there's more persecution of Christians today in the world than any time in the history of Christendom.
00:06:33.000 Never been more.
00:06:34.000 And it's as if the world says, you know, the Christians are the largest faith community out there.
00:06:40.000 You guys are big enough to take care of yourselves.
00:06:42.000 Or you did this to other people in the past.
00:06:46.000 You're getting it now.
00:06:48.000 I don't know which or if it's both or what the case of it is, but you've just got large-scale Christian persecution taking place.
00:06:58.000 I just saw another report today of Christians being killed in Nigeria.
00:07:03.000 You're seeing the Catholic community being thrown out of Nicaragua, some of their institutions by Ortega.
00:07:10.000 The Chinese are at war with all faiths, Christians included.
00:07:15.000 And I don't know why, but it's up to us to stand up for it and not to be embarrassed about standing up for Christians around the world that are being persecuted.
00:07:24.000 It seems like a lot of times people kind of, well, I don't want to speak out about it.
00:07:30.000 And we have to.
00:07:31.000 These are key brothers and sisters that are being persecuted, locked up, killed in various places around the world.
00:07:38.000 Ambassador, any other aspects to this issue you want to make sure our audience is aware of or anything you'd like to plug that are action items for our audience?
00:07:48.000 Yeah, they can go on a website, 120,000reasons.org, 120,000, that's the number of Christians that got run out of Nagora Karabakh, 120,000reasons.org for more information.
00:08:04.000 And the one thing they really can do is push their members of Congress not to sell weaponry to Azerbaijan, push the Biden administration not to sell weaponry to Azerbaijan.
00:08:16.000 that we've been supplying weapons to them and that's got to cease and we need to supply help to Armenia.
00:08:23.000 So I'm just logistically curious.
00:08:25.000 It just came to me.
00:08:26.000 So in what period of time did they move these Christians out of this region and how far did they travel?
00:08:33.000 They went down this place called the Leyton Corridor and it's about 22 miles and this happened in a period of about 10 days.
00:08:40.000 So no, I'm just really curious.
00:08:42.000 So in 10 days, 120,000 people moved.
00:08:44.000 Why is it that people can't leave northern Gaza for an Israeli invasion and the UN calls that a humanitarian crisis?
00:08:51.000 Egypt won't let them move.
00:08:53.000 I mean, I just saw a report today where Egypt was letting 400 or something like that out of Gaza, about 2.5 million people.
00:09:01.000 Yeah.
00:09:02.000 Unfortunately, a lot of times in the Middle East, you get these refugee populations that are used as pawns in kind of the battle over Israel and Israel's position in the Middle East, which the Iranians, and that's who's behind this, are trying to push out into the sea.
00:09:21.000 You know, I just find it fascinating.
00:09:23.000 Even from moving from southern Gaza to north, from northern Gaza to southern Gaza, the UN says it's impossible and that it's a human rights catastrophe.
00:09:32.000 Has the UN called what's happening in Armenia and Azerbaijan a human rights catastrophe?
00:09:37.000 Has the UN spoke out about this?
00:09:40.000 I haven't seen them.
00:09:41.000 There was a former UN special rapporteur that has spoke out about the conditions and the nature of genocide being there in Armenia, but the UN itself hasn't spoken out.
00:09:52.000 Looks very telling.
00:09:54.000 Well, and it's part of the testing that's taking place of the United States right now in this final year of the Biden term.
00:10:03.000 And who knows how the election goes next year, but the final year of this Biden term, you're getting all this testing.
00:10:07.000 And one of the testings that nobody's talking about is what Turkey is doing through Azerbaijan to Armenia.
00:10:15.000 And that's to me what's really trouble.
00:10:16.000 People talk about Russia and Ukraine.
00:10:18.000 They're talking about the Middle East.
00:10:19.000 Everybody's watching China and Taiwan.
00:10:21.000 But what about this one?
00:10:23.000 We need people really to speak out on it.
00:10:25.000 And we need to not be complicit with the United States.
00:10:30.000 Just to repeat, everybody, such an important story.
00:10:33.000 The UN international communities are lecturing Israel for allegedly perpetuating a genocide, which is false, and that people can't move to southern Gaza, but they're perfectly fine with 120,000 Christians being moved in 10 days in Armenia.
00:10:49.000 It really doesn't make a lot of sense.
00:10:50.000 Ambassador Brownbach, thank you so much.
00:10:52.000 Thank you, Charlie.
00:10:56.000 America's colleges and universities today are less concerned with critical thinking than with indoctrination.
00:11:02.000 It is no wonder why so many young Americans embrace cancel culture, deny free speech to conservatives, and even celebrate terrorism.
00:11:08.000 But I'm happy to report there is one college where students debate ideas openly and honestly, where they pursue truth together with their professors, and where America's great heritage of liberty is studied and revered.
00:11:18.000 My favorite college, Hillsdale College.
00:11:20.000 As stated in Hillsdale's founding document in 1844, Hillsdale's original mission was to offer the kind of serious liberal arts education needed to preserve the blessings of civil and religious liberty across the land.
00:11:31.000 And this mission continues to guide Hillsdale College today.
00:11:34.000 You can learn more at my favorite college's website, charlieforhillsdale.com.
00:11:38.000 There you will find a short video that's just over a minute long showing how Hillsdale's work, not only on its Michigan campus, not only in Washington, D.C. campus, but across the nation is effective in defending American liberty.
00:11:52.000 Take some time to watch today at charlieforhillsdale.com.
00:11:55.000 That is charlieforhillsdale.com.
00:11:59.000 Eric Adams, mayor of New York, not my favorite guy, but he has been one of the loudest complainers when it comes to the amount of illegals coming into the country.
00:12:07.000 Non-stop flow of foreigners coming into America, many of whom find their way to New York.
00:12:12.000 And he says, you got to stop.
00:12:14.000 You got to stop.
00:12:15.000 You got to stop.
00:12:16.000 No more.
00:12:17.000 No mas.
00:12:19.000 This is just a little snippet.
00:12:21.000 He's been almost daily complaining, saying, we are full.
00:12:26.000 We are full.
00:12:28.000 No more illegals.
00:12:29.000 PlayCut 87.
00:12:31.000 This is a national and statewide issue that has been unjustly dropped into the lap of New York City residents.
00:12:41.000 We only make up 0.05 of the landmass in New York State.
00:12:47.000 0.05.
00:12:49.000 That's what we make up.
00:12:50.000 Yet, we are housing over 99% of the migrants.
00:12:55.000 And he's getting it from his constituents.
00:12:57.000 Black residents in New York, they're getting very angry.
00:13:01.000 So Eric Adams is trying to find a solution.
00:13:03.000 He says, quote, this is devastating for our city.
00:13:07.000 PlayCut 88.
00:13:08.000 It is going to cost us this year $5 billion.
00:13:14.000 And three years, $12 billion.
00:13:17.000 This has created a crisis that's wrong for New York taxpayers, wrong for the migrants, and wrong for our city and wrong for our country.
00:13:28.000 And the national government is not doing their job.
00:13:32.000 Ooh, those are fighting words, Eric Adams.
00:13:36.000 Today, Eric Adams was in D.C.
00:13:39.000 He was about to sit down with Joe Biden in the White House to discuss the immigration crisis.
00:13:46.000 And then people said, oh, Eric Adams canceled the meeting.
00:13:50.000 He said, I have to go back to New York.
00:13:52.000 People were saying, what's going on?
00:13:53.000 What's happening?
00:13:55.000 Right on schedule.
00:13:59.000 This morning, the FBI raided the home of top Eric Adams fundraiser, Brianna Suggs.
00:14:06.000 Not a subpoena, raiding the home.
00:14:09.000 Eric Adams flew a little too close to the sun.
00:14:13.000 Eric Adams, otherwise known as Icarus, complained a little bit too much and he just got some chin music, a little bit of a warning brushback pitch.
00:14:21.000 You better shut up, is what they're saying.
00:14:23.000 Brianna Suggs, we have no idea what the search warrant is about, but this is typical Stalinistic FBI, Southern District of New York tactics.
00:14:32.000 You want to go meet with Joe Biden.
00:14:35.000 You're making too much noise.
00:14:36.000 We will raid you.
00:14:37.000 They're doing this right now to Elon Musk.
00:14:39.000 SDNY is investigating Elon Musk because Elon Musk is complaining too much and noticing too much.
00:14:46.000 Now, maybe Brianna is a bad actor.
00:14:49.000 I don't know.
00:14:50.000 She's a Democrat, so probably is.
00:14:52.000 But they probably had dirt on her for quite some time.
00:14:55.000 But why now?
00:14:57.000 You're trying to tell me it's a coincidence?
00:14:59.000 You're trying to tell me that Eric Adams is about to take a seat in the West Wing in a round table with cameras everywhere?
00:15:06.000 Of course not.
00:15:08.000 Joe Biden and his government ordered a hit and said, rate it.
00:15:12.000 This is a problem.
00:15:13.000 You're making us look bad now.
00:15:16.000 And it worked.
00:15:17.000 Eric Adams is on his way back to New York to handle a matter.
00:15:21.000 The Biden crime family, we know, is run like a mob family, La Cosa Nostra.
00:15:27.000 No different than El Chapo, the godfather, the five families of New York.
00:15:32.000 This is exactly how the mob would handle stuff.
00:15:35.000 This is the equivalent of waking up with a horse's head in your bed.
00:15:39.000 For those of you that have watched The Godfather, you know exactly what I mean.
00:15:43.000 Eric Adams got the memo, canceled the meeting, and went home.
00:15:47.000 There will be no summit on illegal immigration.
00:15:49.000 The complaining, I'm sure, will lessen in its volume and intensity.
00:15:53.000 And Eric Adams is probably sick to his stomach.
00:15:56.000 Now, whether or not this is legit with Breanna or not, the regime strikes the Democrats, too.
00:16:05.000 The administrative state runs the country.
00:16:08.000 If you dare complain about open borders, if you dare complain about the issues, we will deploy the shock troops after you.
00:16:15.000 You're trying to tell me that Breonna Suggs and Eric Adams coincidentally find themselves in the crosshairs of the FBI?
00:16:26.000 Really?
00:16:27.000 Not the DAs that don't enforce the law, not Hillary Clinton or Bill Clinton or Nancy Pelosi.
00:16:36.000 No, no, no.
00:16:36.000 Eric Adams and his low-level fundraiser.
00:16:41.000 I would love to see this search warrant.
00:16:44.000 Who am I to defend Breonna Suggs?
00:16:47.000 Honestly, absent like narco-trafficking, or that if she was literally receiving donations from the Chinese Communist Party and laundering them back to Eric Adams, it is reprehensible to have the FBI raid the home of a political fundraiser.
00:17:05.000 Like, what is that all about?
00:17:06.000 They did it to O'Keefe.
00:17:08.000 They did it to Giuliani, and now they'll do it to Breonna Suggs.
00:17:12.000 If you are a threat in the Southern District of New York, they will deploy the shock troops against you.
00:17:18.000 The deep state has not given up any power.
00:17:20.000 And Biden ordered a hit to say, back off, Eric Adams, and it worked.
00:17:28.000 Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:17:29.000 Aren't you tired of not making a difference?
00:17:31.000 You can.
00:17:31.000 We can make a difference standing for life by giving free ultrasounds with our friends at pre-born.
00:17:36.000 In a Dobbs world, states decide about abortion, and so many liberal states are taking extreme stands, even allowing abortion up to literally the second before a baby is born.
00:17:46.000 It's unbelievable, but true.
00:17:48.000 And in California, the demand for abortions has increased 400% in part because the state is inviting women and girls to come to California for the sole purpose of aborting their baby.
00:17:58.000 This is abortion trafficking.
00:18:00.000 Take a stand for life by providing an ultrasound for a young woman.
00:18:03.000 When you do, she is twice as likely to choose life.
00:18:06.000 I'm a donor and you should be too to pre-born.
00:18:08.000 Just $28 provides that ultrasound and saves one baby.
00:18:11.000 $140 saves five.
00:18:13.000 A gift of $15,000 provides an ultrasound machine that can save thousands of babies for years to come.
00:18:19.000 Call 833-850-2229 or click on the pre-born banner at charliekirk.com.
00:18:24.000 That is charliekirk.com and click on the pre-born banner.
00:18:30.000 Joining us now is Andy Biggs.
00:18:32.000 Congressman Biggs, welcome to the program.
00:18:35.000 Speaker Johnson, seems like he's off to a great start.
00:18:38.000 Andy, I know you led the charge for a new speaker.
00:18:40.000 Kind of recollect the last couple of weeks, and it seems as if we're off to a good start.
00:18:44.000 Yeah, I'm pleased.
00:18:46.000 This is, people would say, what plan do you have?
00:18:49.000 And the plan I had was a new speaker, change, change the institution, make it more transparent, more open, and get a guy that we all trust.
00:18:59.000 And I think we're off to a good start with Mike Johnson because he answers and fits the bill to all of that.
00:19:05.000 And I'll just tell you something different.
00:19:10.000 He asked for a meeting with the Freedom Caucus today.
00:19:12.000 We had a meeting with him.
00:19:14.000 And it wasn't because he needed our vote.
00:19:16.000 It was because he wanted to know what we thought about certain issues.
00:19:19.000 How's that for a change of pace, Charlie?
00:19:22.000 Andy, I got to give you credit.
00:19:24.000 You saw a vision and you cast it.
00:19:25.000 And Speaker Johnson is a prayerful, godly man.
00:19:28.000 So, Andy, let me ask you, continuing resolution.
00:19:31.000 Do you think that we're going to kick this to January?
00:19:35.000 I see arguments on both sides.
00:19:37.000 What can we expect when it comes to the continuing resolution fight coming into January?
00:19:43.000 Well, I keep telling people a CR talk is a little premature.
00:19:46.000 Let's go ahead and finish the 12 bills, get them over to the Senate.
00:19:50.000 We probably won't.
00:19:51.000 So then let's face it realistically.
00:19:54.000 I am not for a long-term CR.
00:19:56.000 I'm not for a CR that lasts more than, say, 10 days.
00:20:00.000 And the reason is you need to keep the pressure on members of Congress.
00:20:04.000 The Senate doesn't want to do anything.
00:20:06.000 They just want to be able to do an omnibus.
00:20:08.000 And the way you prevent that is you do short-term CRs.
00:20:11.000 If you kick it down the road to, say, even January, the Senate guaranteed is going to pull an omnibus out of its hat and try to get that through.
00:20:21.000 And we just cannot accept that.
00:20:23.000 We're going to have to, I'm not, I don't believe in CRs.
00:20:27.000 So anything you do is going to have to have a penalty for failure to get the work done.
00:20:31.000 So you didn't, so you're going to have to see a reduction in the spending.
00:20:34.000 You're going to have to see policy changes.
00:20:37.000 You might have to see elimination of programs.
00:20:39.000 All of that.
00:20:41.000 If you can't get your work done by November 17th, then and you want to extend government operations without a shutdown, then you're going to have to make some concessions there in order to get that through, I believe.
00:20:56.000 Yeah, and I'm totally with you.
00:20:58.000 I think CRs, it's the ultimate government escape hatch, right?
00:21:02.000 Where they say, you know, it's for an emergency and we've been in like this permanent emergency.
00:21:07.000 Andy, how long have you been in Congress?
00:21:08.000 Six years now, three terms?
00:21:10.000 Is that right?
00:21:10.000 Three or four terms?
00:21:12.000 Yeah, midway through my fourth term.
00:21:14.000 So seven years.
00:21:15.000 Yeah.
00:21:15.000 And I think ever since you've been a congressman, they've been doing CRs, right?
00:21:18.000 Or close to it.
00:21:19.000 I mean, from your time in Congress, have you actually experienced the way that we did budgeting 30 or 40 years ago?
00:21:26.000 No, and Charlie, let me give you some amazing data.
00:21:29.000 The last 10 years, we've done 28 CRs.
00:21:33.000 The last 20 years, we've done 35, 40.
00:21:36.000 There were three times that we did a CR all the way for a full year.
00:21:41.000 And the last time we did the 12 approach bills we're required to under federal law and got them out on time, 12 bills on time, 1977.
00:21:51.000 Does that blow your mind, Charlie?
00:21:53.000 I mean, it's just, it's inexcusable.
00:21:55.000 And I think there's a direct correlation, isn't there, Andy?
00:21:57.000 Because you're a fiscal hawk.
00:21:58.000 It's what I love about you.
00:22:00.000 If you don't actually fix the mechanics, you can't fix the result, right?
00:22:04.000 So exactly right.
00:22:06.000 Exactly right, Charlie.
00:22:07.000 So that's why the whole deal was to try to fix the infrastructure.
00:22:12.000 And then you had a person who was going around the infrastructure fixes we had.
00:22:15.000 So now you have to make a personnel change because you changed the infrastructure and the person that you brought in is not conforming to the new infrastructure.
00:22:25.000 So now you need new personnel.
00:22:27.000 And so that's, if we're going to turn this ship around, and if we don't, by the way, you can't dither around anymore, Charlie, because a year from now we'll be sitting at 36 and a half, 37 trillion.
00:22:38.000 I know.
00:22:39.000 You can't fiddle around.
00:22:40.000 You're going to have to take serious action.
00:22:42.000 Well, so yeah, that's where I'm.
00:22:43.000 So just so you know that my position, Andy, I don't think we should be afraid of government shutdown.
00:22:47.000 I know you're not, right?
00:22:48.000 Social security checks still go out and all that.
00:22:51.000 I don't want one.
00:22:53.000 I'm not saying we should aim for one, but we shouldn't be held hostage by it, right?
00:22:58.000 This needs to be a negotiation, not hostage, not a hostage situation where we're willing to do whatever it is.
00:23:03.000 Andy, talk about the psychology of Christmas break and how members seem to lose all principles, guardrails of reality, just so that they could get back on a flight on the evening of December 21st.
00:23:18.000 You're laughing, but there's, it's, it's ridiculously true, isn't it?
00:23:23.000 Oh, it's, it's totally true.
00:23:25.000 I mean, there might be 10 of us that are willing to just say, okay, if I have to stay here on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, I will.
00:23:33.000 I think actually I did fly home one Christmas evening, but the bottom line is these people start unplugging, Charlie.
00:23:43.000 Let's just be honest.
00:23:44.000 They start unplugging in September for the Christmas break.
00:23:49.000 And then the other thing that you can't underestimate this either, Charlie, is that next year is an election year.
00:23:55.000 Presidential elections, members of Congress.
00:23:57.000 So when you get past January, everybody just wants to unplug.
00:24:01.000 You will not see anything meaning, in my opinion, anything meaningful done to change the direction of the country.
00:24:09.000 That's why I'm a big believer in the, if you're going to do a CR, which I hate CRs with a passion, I can tell you why.
00:24:16.000 What they do is that facilitates the deep state, right?
00:24:19.000 I can expand on it.
00:24:20.000 That says, that's facilitating.
00:24:22.000 But if you do longer term, by longer term, I mean anything over eight days, eight to 10 days, then you basically kick this thing down in a way that the pressure is off to solve the problem.
00:24:40.000 And so my position is use short-term CRs to leverage the Senate.
00:24:46.000 They got to get their work done, even the House.
00:24:48.000 If the Senate has now passed, finally has passed three bills.
00:24:53.000 We didn't pass one of those corresponding, which is the Ag Bill.
00:24:57.000 That doesn't mean you can't get into a conference committee situation right now and basically hammer this thing out.
00:25:03.000 But they're like, oh, no, no, no, Andy.
00:25:06.000 That's getting ahead of the ball.
00:25:08.000 Nothing is ahead of the ball game right now, Charlie.
00:25:11.000 We're already so far behind that they need to be off their duffs, getting together and sorting out the issues so that we can see if we can come to a consensus in both the House and Senate, say, on the Ag Bill or the upcoming transportation issue, T-Head bill, the Thud bill, because it stinks and lands bad.
00:25:32.000 So is it your position, Andy, that you would like to see the 12 appropriation bills passed prior to Christmas break?
00:25:39.000 Is that your opinion?
00:25:40.000 Because I agree.
00:25:41.000 We have this chart 68 we put up.
00:25:43.000 Republican courage goes down the closer we get to election day, right?
00:25:48.000 And so it's not exactly there's going to be this, you know, fighting spirit on January the 10th.
00:25:55.000 It's going to be the typical guys.
00:25:57.000 You know it, Andy.
00:25:58.000 Oh, it's an election year.
00:25:59.000 Tough vote for me.
00:26:00.000 So, I mean, I look at it opposite.
00:26:02.000 Put their own stupid Christmas plans aside.
00:26:05.000 And I think it's such a, you know this, Andy, the district you represent.
00:26:08.000 There are people that work in the ER and the hospitals on Christmas Day, police officers that have to work on Christmas Day, you know, the pilots and flight attendants.
00:26:16.000 Like get over yourselves, guys.
00:26:18.000 Okay.
00:26:18.000 And I'm not, Andy, you're the exception.
00:26:20.000 I mean, this whole thing that you guys need like a two-week glorified Christmas break is repulsive to me.
00:26:25.000 Okay.
00:26:26.000 It's that go do something for the country.
00:26:28.000 And so is it your position then that we kind of need to force the hand of Congress to get something substantively done and not kick this?
00:26:37.000 Because the one thing I didn't like when Mike Johnson said, well, maybe we have to do a CR through January 15th.
00:26:43.000 I was like, boy, if you think you're going to get a courageous caucus on January the 15th, it's going to be even worse than before Christmas.
00:26:49.000 Your thoughts, Andy?
00:26:51.000 I agree with you 100%, Charlie.
00:26:53.000 I want the 12 bills done by November 17th.
00:26:56.000 They should have been done by June 30th.
00:26:58.000 That's the federal law.
00:27:00.000 So where we are, and here's my position.
00:27:03.000 Even if you can't get the 12 bills done, if we've taken a floor vote on every one of those 12 bills, that doesn't prevent you from negotiating because something came out of the rules committee that was the appropriate props bill in the house.
00:27:15.000 That means you know you have a bill to negotiate from.
00:27:18.000 Go to negotiate with the Senate.
00:27:20.000 Find out where we're in alliance and find out where there's discord and resolve it.
00:27:26.000 And begin doing that.
00:27:28.000 That has to be done before the middle of November.
00:27:30.000 And if you do that, don't forget, we shut down for basically a week at Thanksgiving, Charlie.
00:27:36.000 So it just, these guys don't, they don't want to do this stuff.
00:27:41.000 So I'm saying that's why if you can't get it done by November 17th, when the current CR ends, then by golly, don't do a six to 10-week CR.
00:27:55.000 Do max of a two-week CR.
00:27:57.000 Do a 10-day CR.
00:27:58.000 That way everybody's sitting at the table working it out, trying to resolve this thing.
00:28:03.000 Because you're right, the closer you get to Christmas, you know what happens?
00:28:06.000 People start peeling off.
00:28:08.000 And you know who wins?
00:28:10.000 Everybody that's a big spender wins because they know that people will start caving and say, oh, gosh, I just got to get out of town.
00:28:19.000 Yeah, okay.
00:28:21.000 Yeah, it's an extra $5 billion that we don't have, but that's okay.
00:28:21.000 Okay.
00:28:27.000 We'll take care of it next year.
00:28:29.000 And next year never comes.
00:28:31.000 They never take care of it.
00:28:32.000 Take care of it now.
00:28:34.000 We need to have a fiscal reckoning in this country.
00:28:37.000 $2 trillion deficits are morally unacceptable.
00:28:42.000 Make the Senate do some work.
00:28:44.000 And my own two cents are two things, Andy.
00:28:46.000 I say this.
00:28:47.000 We've had all the lawmakers on this week.
00:28:48.000 I said this to Marjorie.
00:28:49.000 I said this to Chip Roy.
00:28:51.000 I said this to somebody else that was on the show.
00:28:52.000 I can't remember, and I'll say it to you, which is that we need to put the pressure on the four Red State Democrats.
00:28:59.000 You know this.
00:29:00.000 And then she's not really Red State.
00:29:01.000 I don't know.
00:29:02.000 Cinema, Brown, Tester, Mansion.
00:29:05.000 Make them do some work.
00:29:06.000 Make them take tough votes.
00:29:08.000 Force it onto the Senate.
00:29:10.000 And then you should create the Christmas caucus, Andy.
00:29:12.000 You're not the Freedom Caucus.
00:29:13.000 People that are willing to work through Christmas, if necessary.
00:29:15.000 It could actually change the dynamic.
00:29:17.000 Just say, hey, we're not even going to make any legislative commit.
00:29:20.000 I bet you could get some moderates on that.
00:29:22.000 I really, maybe even Dusty Johnson and that guy from North Dakota, Armstrong, maybe.
00:29:27.000 I don't know.
00:29:28.000 They might have big Christmas plans more important than the country.
00:29:30.000 I think we need a Christmas caucus.
00:29:32.000 Forget the issues.
00:29:33.000 Just people that are willing, if necessary, to work through Christmas to deliver results for the American people.
00:29:40.000 I bet you could get even some Democrats and some moderates on it.
00:29:43.000 That would throw a curveball.
00:29:47.000 Hey, everybody, Mike Lindell has a passion to help you get the best sleep of your life.
00:29:51.000 He didn't stop at the pillow.
00:29:52.000 Mike Lindell has created the Giza Dream bed sheets.
00:29:56.000 These sheets look and feel great, which means an even better night's sleep, which is crucial for your overall health.
00:30:01.000 Mike found the world's best cotton called Giza.
00:30:04.000 It's ultra-soft and breathable, but extremely durable.
00:30:08.000 Mike's Giza sheets come with a 60-day money-back guarantee and a 10-year warranty.
00:30:13.000 Mike's latest incredible deal is the sale of the year.
00:30:16.000 For a limited time, he'll receive 50% off the Giza dream sheets, marking prices down as low as $29.98, depending on the size.

00:30:44.000 All right, Andy, walk me through Israel, Ukraine.
00:30:47.000 It's a little confusing to our audience.
00:30:49.000 It's hard to track.
00:30:50.000 It's changing by the hour.
00:30:51.000 We got IRS cuts.
00:30:53.000 We got the Senate.
00:30:54.000 Walk us through it.
00:30:55.000 Yeah, so what's going on here is the House is going to separate all those issues is my understanding.
00:31:00.000 So the first issue, and we're going to vote on this later today, is what's called the supplemental funding for Israel.
00:31:07.000 Now, mind you, we've already given Israel almost $4 billion this year.
00:31:13.000 But we're going to, apparently, we're going to vote tonight to give them an additional $14 billion.
00:31:19.000 Now, this is what's remarkable about this.
00:31:22.000 This will be the first time that I can remember since I got here that we're not going to just add it to the credit card.
00:31:30.000 We're actually going to pay for it.
00:31:32.000 And we're going to pay for it.
00:31:34.000 So everybody knows about Joe Biden funding the IRS with an expansion of $80 billion to go after Americans.
00:31:42.000 Well, they haven't used that yet.
00:31:45.000 They haven't used more than a few billion dollars.
00:31:47.000 So we're going to take $14 billion of it that was otherwise go to the IRS to come after Americans, and we're going to give that to Israel.
00:31:57.000 And that's how that supplemental is going to be funded.
00:32:00.000 The pay for has never been done in my time here in Congress, which makes that kind of historic.
00:32:06.000 And we're trying to set the new boundaries because now you've got the Warhawks and the Biden administration.
00:32:12.000 They want to actually fund Ukraine and they want to fund them for an entire year, Charlie.
00:32:18.000 They want to give them $60 billion.
00:32:21.000 And I'll just say, do they not believe that that money is getting a significant portion of it is getting siphoned off?
00:32:29.000 And I'm not sure that Americans even understand that some of that money is going to pay for pensions for Ukraine government employees.
00:32:38.000 It's going to fund the legislative body in Ukraine.
00:32:44.000 And it's being siphoned off and basically embezzled by ne'er-do-wells in the corruptocracy, kleptocracy, whatever you want to call it, of Ukraine, which we knew going.
00:32:58.000 And it hasn't changed.
00:33:00.000 Who thought it was going to change?
00:33:01.000 I never thought it would change.
00:33:02.000 I knew we could lose money.
00:33:04.000 Yeah.
00:33:05.000 And it's, Andy, I mean, just more broadly, do you see any weakening in your colleagues towards their zeal with Ukraine?
00:33:12.000 Do you see any change of tone attitude at all?
00:33:17.000 I do, actually.
00:33:18.000 You've got the cadre of warhawks that continue to want to go.
00:33:22.000 But now some of the kind of neoconservative warhawks have actually come out and they said, wait a second, we need to know what the mission is.
00:33:29.000 We need to know where the money is.
00:33:31.000 We need to know where the material is.
00:33:33.000 And they want answers to all those questions before they actually give any more money to Ukraine.
00:33:38.000 The administration, I think, is, I've been told that they've actually responded to some of that and they're trying to assuage what is actually a small minor revolt amongst Republicans to prevent them from getting more money.
00:33:55.000 But never forget, this is an effort on the part of the Biden administration to keep this war going without end, without an objective.
00:34:09.000 What's the objective, Charlie?
00:34:10.000 I mean, nobody knows.
00:34:12.000 Since you're beginning, it's a bunch of abstractions and platitudes of like defending democracy and that Putin is terrible.
00:34:18.000 And I mean, Andy, the last thing I'll just say is that I find it just repugnant, to be honest, the fascination of foreign borders while our own is being overrun.
00:34:28.000 We live in a border state.
00:34:29.000 I mean, isn't it the moral obligation to defend the homeland first and foremost?
00:34:34.000 Absolutely.
00:34:36.000 By the time Biden gets out of office, more than 10 million people will illegally have entered the country.
00:34:41.000 And in southern Arizona, just not too far south of where you and I live, they are releasing now tens of thousands of people into the community.
00:34:52.000 They're just doing immediate release.
00:34:54.000 They're doing it all along the southern border.
00:34:57.000 And you're going to see more homes.
00:34:59.000 We see it everywhere.
00:34:59.000 I was walking in Scottsdale, which, and by the way, you've got these illegals all over the place.
00:35:04.000 And they're just being dropped off.
00:35:06.000 They got nowhere to go.
00:35:07.000 And it is making the communities dirtier and messier and more chaotic.
00:35:12.000 We have more crime, Andy.
00:35:13.000 I'm sure you're seeing that in the East Valley.
00:35:15.000 Yeah, that's exactly right.
00:35:17.000 I was looking at videos of the Valley, you know, Valley of the Sun, Phoenix metro area today, and the amount of homelessness is just increasing.
00:35:27.000 And with that will come the crime, as you say.
00:35:30.000 And not to mention the national security issue of the number of Syrians coming through the Tucson and Yuma sectors now has gone way up, Charlie, and other Mideaster countries that have terrorist cells in them.
00:35:44.000 And the question is for us is, Are they coming here?
00:35:47.000 That's right.
00:35:48.000 And what happens then?
00:35:49.000 Got to run.
00:35:50.000 Andy Biggs, thank you so much.
00:35:51.000 We'll have you on again soon.
00:35:52.000 Thank you.
