00:03:14.000 Nancy Pelosi calls on the 25th Amendment.

00:03:16.000 I got to admit, when I saw this story, I didn't quite understand it.

00:03:20.000 So I did some thinking and I did some reflecting.

00:03:23.000 We're going to go a level deeper here.

00:03:25.000 First, let's play tape of, in a very bizarre way, Nancy Pelosi calling for the 25th Amendment.

00:03:32.000 Tomorrow, by the way, tomorrow, come here tomorrow. 0.58

00:03:32.000 Play tape. 0.58

00:03:37.000 We're going to be talking about the 25th Amendment, but not to take attention away from the subject we have now.

00:03:44.000 Okay, here's the thing.

00:03:46.000 Now, the 25th Amendment, if you don't know what that is, is a procedure to be able to remove the President of the United States, whether it is removal of the President of the United States or his death or resignation.

00:03:59.000 So, usually, the 25th Amendment is most popularly used as a way of succession of who gets to be made president next.

00:04:07.000 So, there are four sections of the 25th Amendment.

00:04:09.000 Section 1: The vice president becomes president after the removal, resignation, or death of the president.

00:04:15.000 Section 2: If the vice president office is vacant, the president nominates a successor.

00:04:20.000 Both chambers of Congress must establish a majority vote to confirm the nomination.

00:04:24.000 Here's a little trivia question, a little trust system going here.

00:04:27.000 Without Googling, when was the last time the 25th Amendment, Section 2, was used in our country?

00:04:35.000 Ready, trivia, go.

00:04:41.000 Okay, correct.

00:04:44.000 Well, before I say the answer, if you email it to us, freedom at charliekirk.com on Total Trust System, I'll pick three winners that win the MAGA doctrine, the first three people that get it right.

00:04:54.000 Total Trust.

00:04:55.000 You guys could Google it, but I trust you.

00:04:58.000 That's right.

00:05:00.000 When Spiro Agnew resigned as Vice President of the United States, the negating nabobs of negatism and Gerald Ford, who was House Minority Leader, got appointed Vice President.

00:05:11.000 Section 3 establishes protocol if the president is too ill or disabled to serve, but only needs a temporary replacement.

00:05:20.000 In this situation, the president gives a written declaration to Congress.

00:05:24.000 The vice president becomes acting president and remains so until the president writes another declaration to resume office.

00:05:33.000 When was the last time the 25th Amendment, Section 3, was used in our country?

00:05:37.000 Jeopardy Music.

00:05:40.000 If you get this right and email it to us, freedom at charliekirk.com.

00:05:42.000 We'll give you a signed copy of the MAGA doctrine.

00:05:45.000 So the last time that that was used was when President Reagan was shot, hospitalized, and there was kind of a calamity that happened of who's actually going to take over the government.

00:05:58.000 And hilariously, Al Haig, who was the Secretary of State, came out in front of the entire media and said, I'm in control here.

00:06:07.000 A complete violation of the succession of power.

00:06:10.000 Let's actually play tape of one of the worst PR disasters in the history of American politics.

00:06:15.000 Play tape.

00:06:17.000 Who is making the decisions for the government right now?

00:06:19.000 Who's making the decisions?

00:06:20.000 Constitutionally, gentlemen, you have the president, the vice president, and the secretary of state in that order.

00:06:28.000 And should the president decide he wants to transfer the helm to the vice president, he will do so.

00:06:35.000 As of now, I am in control here in the White House, pending return of the vice president, and I'm in close touch with him.

00:06:43.000 If something came up, I would check with him, of course.

00:06:46.000 So then, how about section 4 of the 25th Amendment?

00:06:50.000 Section 4 further explains what happens if the president is unable to give temporary power to the vice president.

00:06:57.000 And here's where it gets interesting: Congress leaders can petition to remove the president from power in cases where he's too ill to write a declaration.

00:07:09.000 I think that's what Nancy Pelosi might be hinting at.

00:07:13.000 Under the House's written declarations, the vice president becomes acting president.

00:07:20.000 The president then has a chance to petition it if he feels he can fulfill the duties of office.

00:07:25.000 Now, again, the 25th Amendment was first used in 1973 when Richard Nixon nominated Gerald Ford as vice president after the resignation of Spear Agnew.

00:07:34.000 A few months later, it was used again when Nixon resigned and Ford became president. 0.81

00:07:39.000 So, what exactly is Nancy Pelosi getting at here?

00:07:42.000 And why even ask the question?

00:07:44.000 Well, here's why.

00:07:45.000 Because Pelosi on Wednesday said on the view that Trump's use of steroid dexamethasone to combat the virus may impede his judgment.

00:07:54.000 According to the New York Post, Nancy Pelosi and Representative Jamie Raskin, Democrat from Maryland, said in a press release that they will introduce a bill creating a commission to evaluate the presidential mental and physical fitness.

00:08:08.000 The bill would establish a commission on presidential capacity to discharge the powers and duties of the office that would enable Congress to ensure effective and uninterrupted leadership in the highest office of the executive branch of government.

00:08:21.000 So there's three levels I want you to think about this on.

00:08:24.000 Let's go a level deeper.

00:08:26.000 Level one, let's just talk about the face value.

00:08:28.000 Pelosi wants to throw some shade at Trump before the election.

00:08:32.000 It might be the probably most obvious and probably most likely reason.

00:08:37.000 Basically, she's trolling him.

00:08:39.000 Now, if this is the case, since Trump's doctors have cleared him to serve as president, let me be abundantly clear.

00:08:46.000 This is akin to the Speaker of the House plotting a coup.

00:08:51.000 This is the same Nancy Maureen Antouette that at 90 years old was taken for a ride by her hairdresser, but she's telling the president of the United States that he's unfit to serve. 1.00

00:09:03.000 Nancy Pelosi is trying to get under the skin of the president. 1.00

00:09:08.000 Nancy Pelosi is trying to provoke the president. 1.00

00:09:11.000 Nancy Pelosi is trying to bother the president. 1.00

00:09:13.000 This is a strategy that Democrats have been trying to use, which is troll the president into a reaction against them. 0.96

00:09:22.000 Level two, this also could be Nancy Pelosi's long game in case Trump wins. 0.94

00:09:29.000 This could be her justification for trying to remove a sitting president. 0.99

00:09:33.000 No more impeachment, because that didn't work. 1.00

00:09:36.000 If Trump wins again, why wouldn't Nancy Pelosi try to angle the 25th Amendment to try to remove President Trump? 1.00

00:09:43.000 This could be her trying to flex the muscles or stress test the system to see if she can remove Trump if he wins re-election.

00:09:54.000 Number two actually points to a sequence of indicators.

00:09:58.000 The Democrats are very uncertain about what's going to happen in November.

00:10:01.000 If the Democrats actually believed that they were going to win the Senate and win the White House, why is it that Joe Biden is going around and refusing to say that he'll pack the courts?

00:10:12.000 In fact, Joe Biden, when asked at an event in Arizona, said, in order to find out if I'm going to pack the courts, you have to elect me.

00:10:20.000 Play tape.

00:10:21.000 You'll know my opinion of court packing when the election is over.

00:10:24.000 Now, look, I know it's a great question, y'all, and I don't blame you for asking, but you know, the moment I answer that question, the headline in every one of your papers will be about that.

00:10:36.000 Other than, other than focusing on what's happening now.

00:10:42.000 Why is Joe Biden now all of a sudden crisscrossing the country?

00:10:45.000 What's changed?

00:10:46.000 Some people will say we're closer to an election.

00:10:49.000 That's probably a good reason, a good answer, but it's not the full picture.

00:10:53.000 I think Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are sharing a concern that the Democrat base is not going to show up in big numbers, that younger voters and minorities are at risk, and therefore they're running towards the middle and camouflaging, hiding, and disguising their deeply held socialistic views.

00:11:12.000 But here's the third level, and it's actually the most fun.

00:11:19.000 What if Nancy Pelosi wants to get rid of Biden? 0.89

00:11:24.000 The intended suggestion is to remove Trump.

00:11:28.000 But this move to invoke the 25th Amendment has added benefit given the far left of the party has a new commission to remove Biden should the need arise.

00:11:41.000 Think about it.

00:11:43.000 Mental acuity, presidential fitness. 1.00

00:11:46.000 Those commissions that Nancy Pelosi is forming won't go away if Joe Biden wins. 1.00

00:11:52.000 They'll be more applicable if Joe Biden wins. 1.00

00:11:56.000 Is Nancy Pelosi trying to stage a counter move to remove a Democrat president? 1.00

00:12:01.000 Don't put it past her. 1.00

00:12:03.000 Nancy Pelosi, her entire life, has been about the absolute pathological pursuit of power.

00:12:10.000 If Biden truly alienates the left, I don't mind fracking.

00:12:15.000 I'm a moderate.

00:12:16.000 And the Democrat Civil War that we've been talking about and warning about, then maybe this is the long game for Nancy Pelosi.

00:12:25.000 You see, no one knows the inner party tension better than Speaker Pelosi. 1.00

00:12:30.000 She's a mob boss. 0.99

00:12:31.000 That's who she is. 1.00

00:12:32.000 She's a San Francisco mob boss. 1.00

00:12:35.000 The only difference between her and Al Capone and Tony Soprano and the Gambino crime family is instead of bullets and laundering money, she collects votes and organizes donors. 0.77

00:12:46.000 It's no different. 1.00

00:12:50.000 She has to hold on to power by organizing families. 0.63

00:12:56.000 And the godfather, Don Corolone, had to organize the five crime families. 0.94

00:13:01.000 She has to organize the five major factions of the Democrat Party: the people that worship the earth, the people that love abortions, the people that actually care about skin color, the corporate types, and the blue dog Democrats.

00:13:15.000 The only thing that has kept the party together thus far is their hatred of Donald Trump.

00:13:20.000 That is the only reason why the five crime families of the Democrat Party have not gone to bitter in warfare.

00:13:29.000 All of that goes away if Biden becomes president.

00:13:32.000 It also might make some sense as to why Kamala Harris is their pick, a decision that has confused many, including myself.

00:13:40.000 She delivers no political benefit at all whatsoever. 0.98

00:13:43.000 She's not from a swing state. 0.98

00:13:46.000 People from California don't like her. 0.89

00:13:47.000 The only people that like Kamala Harris are people that she has favor-traded for in the donor community, especially in the Silicon Valley tech elites. 0.79

00:13:56.000 But she does check enough far-left boxes that she might be there precisely as a compromise pick between the moderates and the far left should Biden not be able to serve because of dementia.

00:14:11.000 Now, under the pretense and the premise of trying to attack the fitness of Donald Trump, Pelosi and House Democrats now have the perfect structure in place to remove a feeble Biden.

00:14:23.000 Now, mind you, I don't like conspiracy theories.

00:14:25.000 I don't dive into it.

00:14:27.000 But this is a pretty interesting theory to work through.

00:14:30.000 It's not rooted in conspiracy.

00:14:32.000 It's rooted in facts. 1.00

00:14:35.000 Nancy Pelosi has always been about building a Democrat machine. 1.00

00:14:40.000 She's a machine political figure.

00:14:43.000 Joe Biden, on the other hand, he's barely surviving the primary, let alone the pressure or the stresses of the president.

00:14:51.000 If you ask anyone who has become president, what is harder, running for president or being president, they say being president is infinitely tougher.

00:15:00.000 Because when you're running for president, you get to be an attack dog.

00:15:03.000 You get to complain.

00:15:04.000 When you are president, you have to take responsibility. 1.00

00:15:08.000 Nancy Pelosi barely fended off Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the radical wing of the Democrat Party in the House. 1.00

00:15:15.000 Maybe Nancy Pelosi is trying to align the bitter attack dogs into place to remove a looming Biden presidency. 0.58

00:15:26.000 Nancy Pelosi's continual reference to the 25th Amendment means there's something going on here that we're not being told.

00:15:36.000 I think all of you listening to this program know there's a deeper story happening here that has yet to unfold.

00:15:43.000 I'm just going to make a prediction right here, right now.

00:15:46.000 And I hope that you guys play this tape a couple weeks from now.

00:15:49.000 Two weeks or three weeks from today, America will be at a choke point that we have never seen before.

00:15:58.000 I'm looking at leading indicators.

00:16:00.000 I'm looking at the intensity in people's eyes.

00:16:03.000 I'm looking at the emails that I'm receiving.

00:16:05.000 I'm looking at the language that is being used.

00:16:09.000 America is about to hit a collision before the election that we've never seen before.

00:16:16.000 It is the only logical conclusion that I can give to all of this heated rhetoric.

00:16:24.000 Either Democrats still haven't accepted the results of the 2016 election, or they just might be refusing to accept the pending positive results of the upcoming election.

00:16:36.000 So the question remains this. 0.85

00:16:37.000 What is Nancy Pelosi willing to do to hold on to power?

00:16:42.000 And if Joe Biden becomes president and there's a Democrat House, will it be Nancy Pelosi's government or Joe Biden's government?

00:16:50.000 That's the question. 0.98

00:16:53.000 Nancy Pelosi has never allowed someone to usurp her. 1.00

00:16:58.000 Even when Barack Obama had those short two years of her as Speaker of the House, she would always dominate headlines. 0.56

00:17:04.000 Famously, she said, we have to pass the bill to find out what's in it, just like we have to elect Joe Biden to find out what he'll do.

00:17:10.000 When you run complex, multi-member systems, you always have to have different plans at your disposal.

00:17:21.000 Nancy Pelosi has never been fond of the Biden machine.

00:17:26.000 Do you know who she has been fond of?

00:17:29.000 Anyone and everyone that has come into power from the San Francisco political machine.

00:17:36.000 Like someone named Kamala Harris. 1.00

00:17:38.000 That's who Nancy Pelosi has been fond of. 1.00

00:17:41.000 And maybe that's who she wants to become president. 0.93

00:17:46.000 Look, there's a serious problem out there.

00:17:48.000 Our first responders and heroes, a lot of you listen to the show, a lot of them you have relatives of first responders.

00:17:54.000 You have to pay out of your pocket for gear for the job that you're doing.

00:17:59.000 So for example, if you're a police officer, or if your husband's a police officer, or EMS or medical worker, you have to deal with constrained budgets as it is.

00:18:08.000 They're trying to defund the police and you have to pay out of your pocket for the gear.

00:18:13.000 Hunting for military or first responder discounts has usually been a total headache.

00:18:17.000 My police officer friends who are total heroes, they say they can't find the discounts they need.

00:18:22.000 Big general retailers don't care about you and your sacrifices, just as long as you're just adding to the card button, typical new age corporate America.

00:18:30.000 That's what's amazing about GovX.

00:18:32.000 You see, GovX works directly with brands to negotiate the best prices possible because you deserve the gear you need at the prices you've earned.

00:19:02.000 GovX.com, promo code Kirk.

00:19:07.000 We're going to talk about a news item that no one else is going to talk about today.

00:19:12.000 What if I told you that the reason that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will not condemn China is because they're benefiting from China.

00:19:22.000 Now, you might have heard about Hunter Biden.

00:19:26.000 You might have heard about Joe Biden and his family's connection to the Chinese Communist Party.

00:19:32.000 But what if I told you that on congressional stationery, the Congress of the United States, Lance Gooden, who is the United States Congressman for Texas's 5th District, alleges in a letter that we have reason to believe that the Chinese Communist Party is funneling money to Joe Biden's campaign through green groups.

00:20:00.000 Lance Gooden is asking the Employment Prevention Agency, the EPA, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Department of Justice to investigate this foreign election interference.

00:20:12.000 In fact, I want our team to reach out to Lance Gooden to see if we can have him on the Charlie Kirk Show podcast to talk about this.

00:20:18.000 The letter starts from Congressman Wooden.

00:20:23.000 Dear Administer Wheeler, I respectfully request that the EPA conduct a swift and thorough investigation into foreign influence, financial involvement, and election interference by a number of environmental groups in the U.S., including the Sea Change Foundation, the Sierra Club, and the Sunrise movement.

00:20:39.000 Based on information recently brought to my attention, I believe there's considerable evidence of foreign interference in our government perpetrated through environmental groups like these taking shelter behind the nonprofit status of donor anonymity.

00:20:52.000 He goes on to say that these 501c4 organizations that operate as environmental groups are getting significant funding from the Chinese Communist Party.

00:21:04.000 He says this, China has a long history of successfully destroying American industries for their own benefit. 0.95

00:21:10.000 It's true. 0.94

00:21:11.000 We cannot allow China to undermine and threaten our energy industry the way they destroyed our manufacturing industry. 0.89

00:21:18.000 The future and national security of Americans are at stake.

00:21:20.000 We must protect our resources. 0.68

00:21:22.000 Foreign countries, particularly China and Russia, aim to diminish American energy independence.

00:21:28.000 It behooves them to fund organizations who work to stifle domestic energy progress.

00:21:33.000 For instance, Russia has an interest in ending oil and gas production in America because their entire economy is dependent on Russian dominance in the oil market.

00:21:43.000 What Lance Gooden is talking about here is very wise.

00:21:48.000 If I was China, what groups would I want to support in America?

00:21:52.000 If I was sitting on a couple billion Chinese Communist Party dollars, who would I support?

00:21:58.000 Would I support conservative groups that want a strong America?

00:22:03.000 Or would I support Black Lives Matter or BLM Incorporated or the Sierra Club that wants to end all energy independence?

00:22:10.000 Just looking at things geopolitically, what country do you think wants fracking to end?

00:22:17.000 Of course Russia does.

00:22:19.000 Of course, Iran does.

00:22:22.000 Of course, China does.

00:22:24.000 They want American energy independence to end.

00:22:29.000 Well, what groups are advocating for American energy independence to end?

00:22:34.000 Well, according to Lance Gooden, the Sierra Club, which is an environmental organization in the United States with over 750,000 members, remember the Sierra Club and the idea of the environment is a massive focus of the theological belief of the American left.

00:22:53.000 They say on the front page of their website this, the end of oil is near.

00:22:59.000 That's a nice opening shot.

00:23:02.000 The Sierra Club, on the top of their website, says, fight back, help protect earth resources from the Trump administration.

00:23:10.000 The Sierra Club has a very sophisticated, expensive website.

00:23:16.000 You go to donate, and they ask for donations, and they say all their donors are anonymous, which they're afforded to under IRS tax code, something that I know quite well.

00:23:27.000 And they argue here that they say, and I quote, we need to end oil.

00:23:33.000 Since 1982, 1892, the Sierra Club brags that they have ended and retired 300 coal plants.

00:23:44.000 The Sierra Club advocates on their website right here that they want all fossil fuels to be destroyed.

00:23:53.000 I don't know the evidence that Lance Gooden has, and I'm very careful to make accusations without the evidence in front of me.

00:23:59.000 But Lance Gooden is the one making the accusation, Congressman Gooden from Texas. 0.66

00:24:04.000 And he argues that if you wanted to get rid of oil and natural gas, as the Chinese Communist Party, why wouldn't you fund the green groups? 0.92

00:24:14.000 He says he has evidence that suggests that, and it makes perfect sense.

00:24:18.000 Thanks to President Donald Trump, America is energy independent.

00:24:22.000 Thanks to President Donald Trump, we are exporting energy for the first time in our country's history.

00:24:28.000 Environmentalists and enemies of America make perfect partners in the demolition of American energy.

00:24:37.000 Look, if you're hungry right now, I got a solution for you.

00:24:40.000 Let me tell you about Good Ranchers.

00:24:42.000 They got the best meat in the country because Good Ranchers began with the standard of bringing top-quality, 100% American-born, raised-and-harvested meat to families across America.

00:24:52.000 This vision was instilled into them from their grandparents that owned community grocery stores and believed in trust, charity, American values.

00:24:57.000 Maybe you're a college student and you're tired of just eating the endless piles of garbage they feed you.

00:25:02.000 Maybe you're a single mother and you just want to be able to feed your kids good protein, or maybe you're a father with an obligation to put food on the table.

00:25:10.000 Well, why don't you put meat on the table from goodranchers.com?

00:26:04.000 I am so thankful that the founding fathers created a decentralized form of government. 0.93

00:26:08.000 Checks and balances not allowing autocratic, power-hungry fools from assuming too much power. 0.99

00:26:14.000 That is, of course, the exception in the state of California, where a power-hungry, autocratic fool by the name of Gavin Newsom is the governor. 0.96

00:26:22.000 Gavin Newsom tweeted out from the office of the governor of California at CA Governor: going out to eat with members of your household this weekend, don't forget to keep your mask on in between bites. 0.86

00:26:34.000 Do your part to keep those around you healthy, slow the spread.

00:26:37.000 So there's so much wrong with this.

00:26:38.000 First of all, what incredible micromanaging of tyrannical behavior.

00:26:43.000 But secondly, going out to eat with members of your household.

00:26:47.000 Wait a second.

00:26:49.000 They're members of your household.

00:26:51.000 So they're obviously exposed to you.

00:26:54.000 So why would you need to mask yourself if you believed that masks were effective around members of your household?

00:27:03.000 So let me get this straight.

00:27:04.000 You're going to drive in a car to the restaurant with people you live with.

00:27:08.000 So you're obviously all exposed to the same thing.

00:27:11.000 But the moment that you must mask yourself is in between bites.

00:27:16.000 This virus is such a unique virus, according to Gavin Newsom, that it will not spread while you're eating.

00:27:22.000 While you're actually putting something in your mouth, there's no viral spread.

00:27:25.000 But as soon as the food goes in your mouth, the mask must come up.

00:27:29.000 So you must perfect the spoon soup swoop into your mouth and then the masks go up.

00:27:37.000 You must do an all-one action. 0.86

00:27:40.000 That's what eating in the Chinese coronavirus era under Gavin Newsom looks like.

00:27:46.000 And this is not just California.

00:27:49.000 We are seeing more and more of these edicts come down.

00:27:54.000 Now, mind you, Gavin Newsom just a couple days ago also said that touching your mask can help slow the spread.

00:28:01.000 How am I supposed to eat at a restaurant and eat, put mask up, eat without touching my mask?

00:28:09.000 How does that one work, Gavin Newsom?

00:28:11.000 So according to Gavin Newsom, the only way to possibly do this is to either A, go buy a hazmat suit, or B, you take a bite, you go to the restroom, wash your hands, come back, put the mask on.

00:28:27.000 It's the only way.

00:28:29.000 Do you understand how dangerous it is to give this much power to a small group of people?

00:28:36.000 This is why liberty requires trust.

00:28:38.000 Mike Pence said this in the debate last evening.

00:28:41.000 He says, we trust people, therefore we want to protect their liberty.

00:28:46.000 And a very obvious example of this is when you don't trust people, you take away their liberty.

00:28:51.000 That's why you take liberty away from children when they misbehave.

00:28:54.000 That's why you take liberty away from prisoners when they go to jail.

00:28:58.000 Liberty is protected towards people that are trustworthy.

00:29:04.000 People that are trustworthy have higher degrees of liberty than people that are not trustworthy.

00:29:10.000 This is why we wait to give people firearms.

00:29:12.000 This is why we have driver's licenses for 16-year-olds, not six-year-olds.

00:29:17.000 The idea of freedom is directly linked to trust.

00:29:22.000 Gavin Newsom, J.B. Pritzker, Bill de Blasio, and Governor Cuomo do not trust their citizens to make informed choices.

00:29:33.000 In fact, they're inherently distrustful of the populations that they govern and they oversee.

00:29:41.000 And they believe that they know better.

00:29:44.000 The left commonly says, well, we need to trust the science.

00:29:46.000 What happens when certain scientists disagree?

00:29:49.000 They don't trust the science.

00:29:51.000 They trust scientists that they like.

00:29:55.000 They trust scientists that confirm the political agenda of theirs.

00:30:01.000 Gavin Newsom saying you must put your mask on in between bites is just the latest iteration of a pathological power grab from a democrat power structure that wants to micromanage your entire life.

00:30:16.000 There is no evidence, scientific data, according to Heather McDonald in the City Journal, between countries that shut down their country completely and countries that didn't.

00:30:26.000 None.

00:30:27.000 There's no data to show that countries that overly masked themselves did better than countries that masked themselves, is according to Heather McDonald in the City Journal.

00:30:35.000 If you got a problem with it, take it up with her.

00:30:39.000 The question is this.

00:30:41.000 Does liberty matter? 1.00

00:30:44.000 Is it possible that people are going to do stupid and dumb and foolish things? 1.00

00:30:47.000 And the answer is, of course. 1.00

00:30:49.000 The next question then should be, do you take away people's liberty and freedom because of that?

00:30:54.000 Do you then all of a sudden start to restrict people's agency to make choices?
