00:01:14.000 With us right now is Kash Patel, one of the friends of our show.
00:01:18.000 Cash, welcome back.
00:01:20.000 Thanks for having me, Charlie.
00:01:21.000 Great to be with you guys.
00:01:23.000 Cash, you have a new book.
00:01:24.000 Tell us about it before we get into the news of the day.
00:01:26.000 I appreciate it.
00:01:26.000 I do.
00:01:27.000 We're just launched yesterday exclusively.
00:01:29.000 President Trump put out the plot against the king: 2,000 mules.
00:01:32.000 It's our sequel to our best-selling children's book, The Plot Against the King.
00:01:36.000 First, we wrote about Russia Gate because the left told us we can't teach our children about the youth and history and facts.
00:01:42.000 And then we did a sequel to talk about election integrity.
00:01:44.000 So they say Orange Man bad, which is why I'm wearing this t-shirt.
00:01:47.000 President Trump says plot against the king, 2,000 mules good.
00:01:50.000 So plotagainsteking.com.
00:01:53.000 It's about Dinesh, Dinesh's story in 2000 Mules.
00:01:56.000 We collaborated with him on this book and they go out through the kingdom and they see how the mules left glowing poo in the streets and basically jeopardized the integrity of an election system, just like they did in 2020.
00:02:08.000 It's not political, it's just teaching our kids about service and truth like we did in Plot Against the King, one.
00:02:14.000 And now we're onto our way to a trilogy and we want to put it in every school in every district in America.
00:02:20.000 And President Trump was kind enough to champion that message yesterday on Truth Social.
00:02:23.000 Well, we got to get that in our Turning Point Academy.
00:02:26.000 That is for sure.
00:02:27.000 Let's do it.
00:02:28.000 So email us, everybody, your thoughts for Kash Patel Freedom at CharlieKirk.com.
00:02:32.000 Cash, what is the latest, what's your thoughts on the latest news out of the New York Attorney General's office?
00:02:36.000 Well, it's no surprise.
00:02:36.000 What are your thoughts?
00:02:37.000 Look, this lady made it her mission to campaign on actually bringing a case before she knew about anything about the case and was ever in the seat to begin with.
00:02:45.000 And New York, my original home state, will hopefully be rescued by the great Lee Zeldon, who's running for governor there, and hopefully put an end to this.
00:02:53.000 But she basically manufactured, I believe, evidence to say we couldn't come at you criminally.
00:02:58.000 We tried for one, two, three, four years, but now we're going to come at you civilly and say you did some stuff wrong, so you have to pay us.
00:03:07.000 And the fake news media is going to get the headline that they want, quote unquote, Trump world and family prosecuted.
00:03:14.000 You know, it's just another two-tier system of justice now on display at the state level in New York.
00:03:20.000 So, Cash, what is your opinion on the Department of Justice's non-stop just barrage campaign against Donald Trump?
00:03:30.000 You said before they're not going to indict Donald Trump.
00:03:33.000 Not trying to pin you on this, but do you still have that belief?
00:03:37.000 Yeah.
00:03:38.000 Look, you're right, though.
00:03:39.000 It is a barrage campaign, like none other.
00:03:42.000 Look, I'm a former national security prosecutor.
00:03:43.000 I was at this DOJ where I did some of the best work in my career.
00:03:47.000 And those days of the DOJ are long gone.
00:03:49.000 But what you have is the government gangsters at the top who started Russia Gate, the guys like John Carlin.
00:03:55.000 And then there you have Lisa Monaco and Merrick Garland, the guys that covered it up at the FBI, like Chris Ray and the corrupt FBI agents who have now been exposed to the whistleblower program.
00:04:04.000 These people have been running at Trump for six, seven years, and this is just their next iteration because they've moved on.
00:04:12.000 You can tell no one's talking about January 6th anymore because that chapter is over because we expose the truth on what happened in January 6th and President Trump's authorization of the National Guard.
00:04:21.000 And I think a similar approach will be taken here.
00:04:24.000 Now they're just doubling down.
00:04:25.000 They're going to attack Trump's everyone in Trump world they're coming after and they're not going to stop.
00:04:31.000 They are going to try to get an indictment, but I still believe they're going to come up short.
00:04:36.000 So, Cash, how do we respond to this?
00:04:38.000 You know, I'm rather impatient.
00:04:41.000 And I say that it's about time for the DA and the sheriffs of the world to start indicting Democrats for the crimes that we know, not doing what they do where you just make stuff up.
00:04:49.000 I mean, Cash, they don't respect the rule of law.
00:04:51.000 They don't respect us.
00:04:53.000 There is nothing that we do that they respect.
00:04:53.000 They don't.
00:04:57.000 The only thing that they respect, Cash, let me actually change that is red wave elections.
00:05:02.000 That does actually threaten them.
00:05:04.000 But, Cash, beyond that, should we just sit on our hands and wait around?
00:05:07.000 Or is it time?
00:05:08.000 I mean, you say this as a former process, as a former prosecutor.
00:05:11.000 I know that you might have a different take, but isn't it time for us to start prosecuting all these vigilantes?
00:05:16.000 I mean, they have a sheriff in Texas who says they're going to criminally investigate Ron DeSantis.
00:05:22.000 Okay.
00:05:22.000 We laugh at it.
00:05:23.000 I mean, but why don't we have sheriffs saying we're going to go, you know, we're going to go investigate Peter Strzok?
00:05:28.000 I don't know.
00:05:28.000 Who are you?
00:05:29.000 I'm some sheriff from Wyoming and I'm just going to go do it.
00:05:32.000 I mean, it's about time we start to do what they're doing to us.
00:05:36.000 Cash, what are your thoughts?
00:05:38.000 You know what?
00:05:38.000 That's actually, that's actually pretty brilliant.
00:05:40.000 And I never thought of that.
00:05:41.000 We should get state and local authorities to do the job that our federal government is failing to do in law enforcement because our DOJ and FBI has been totally politicized and destroyed.
00:05:51.000 So I'm all for this great idea.
00:05:53.000 Let's go to states across the country where we have Republican attorney generals and Republican district attorneys and say, prosecute Peter Strzok, Comey, McCabe, everybody else.
00:06:03.000 You can go find the crimes that they committed at the state level too.
00:06:07.000 Since this federal government, I mean, whether it be destruction of evidence or, you know, seditious conspiracy against the country, which is, by the way, what Peter Strzok did.
00:06:15.000 Peter Strzok was conspiring against the entire federal government against a sitting president, both while sitting and former.
00:06:24.000 And they're using this language against us.
00:06:26.000 But where I get this from, Cash, is you have some, and she might be a sweet person.
00:06:31.000 I think she's full of venom.
00:06:33.000 This woman in Fulton County, Georgia, who's putting out her chest, like, yeah, I'm going to go indict a former president.
00:06:38.000 Like, you're a local DA.
00:06:39.000 Like, why don't you worry about arson and rape and murder and kidnapping, not indict no, but that's what they do.
00:06:46.000 And remember, when they indicted Steve Bannon a couple of days ago, they used the Manhattan District Attorney, that guy, Bragg, Alvin Bragg.
00:06:54.000 I mean, New York is Gotham, but they're more worried about political stuff.
00:06:59.000 Now, Cash, AGs can't do this, many AGs because they can't impanel grand juries, but DAs and sheriffs can.
00:07:05.000 Why is it that we haven't thought of this before?
00:07:08.000 Honestly, I don't know.
00:07:09.000 It's great that you have.
00:07:10.000 And that's why you have your show in the audience that you do.
00:07:13.000 And I'm all for it because I literally even look a guy that was in law enforcement for years never thought because I was trained when it's a federal crime, our federal government's going to come in.
00:07:22.000 They have totally, totally failed.
00:07:22.000 But you're right.
00:07:24.000 And when they have failed, there's no law saying that a state level prosecution from a state DA can't do it.
00:07:29.000 And here's what I will highlight.
00:07:31.000 While the DAs in rogue places like Atlanta, New York City, and whatnot are coming after political prosecutions, what they are failing on is crime.
00:07:38.000 And that's why it's exploding in LA, New York City, Chicago, and places like that.
00:07:42.000 But when you go and look at Republican DAs and Republican sheriffs in counties across America, those are safer counties because you know what they're doing?
00:07:49.000 Their job.
00:07:50.000 They're enforcing the street-level code of conduct and laws to protect the everyday citizenry.
00:07:55.000 But I agree with you.
00:07:56.000 And I'll go on the road with you for this.
00:07:58.000 Let's champion it.
00:07:58.000 Let's find a couple of DAs.
00:08:00.000 I agree and say, let's go all in.
00:08:03.000 I'll do it for free.
00:08:04.000 I'll do the work for free on this one.
00:08:05.000 Well, there you go.
00:08:06.000 There's plenty of good sheriffs.
00:08:08.000 And by the way, you got to find what laws they broke.
00:08:10.000 We know all of it.
00:08:11.000 It's all transparent.
00:08:12.000 So, Cash, we're going to do the road show.
00:08:13.000 The road show will be all about finding DAs.
00:08:17.000 And so, if there's any DAs out there that listen to our program, because there's a lot of them, or any sheriffs, we got all the goods.
00:08:23.000 I would love to see some West Texas sheriff indict Peter Strzok.
00:08:28.000 And by the way, but why not?
00:08:30.000 That's what they do to us.
00:08:31.000 We know the laws that Peter Strzok broke.
00:08:33.000 And the DOJ is John Durham.
00:08:36.000 In 20314, we might get the Durham report.
00:08:40.000 Okay.
00:08:41.000 I mean, at this point, it's a joke.
00:08:43.000 It's a mockery.
00:08:44.000 So, all right, let's play.
00:08:46.000 Letitia James predicted she was going to go after Trump.
00:08:49.000 I'm not saying that we have to be political.
00:08:51.000 I'm saying we have to have a focus on the law and justice.
00:08:55.000 Cash, you have detailed it all here.
00:08:57.000 And if the DOJ is not going to do the job, the states have to step up.
00:09:00.000 Play Cut 69.
00:09:01.000 Will you sue him, perhaps?
00:09:03.000 Oh, we're going to definitely assume we're going to be a real pain in the ass.
00:09:06.000 I will never be afraid to challenge this illegitimate president.
00:09:10.000 We need to focus on Donald Trump.
00:09:11.000 We need to follow his money.
00:09:12.000 What is fueling my soul right now is Trump and this illegitimate president.
00:09:17.000 I look forward to going into the office of attorney general every day, suing him, and then going home.
00:09:25.000 I think it's reprehensible what she's staying for, you know, all that.
00:09:29.000 But I actually have some respect for it in one sense, where she said she was going to go after a political opponent, and she's done that.
00:09:36.000 And Republicans talk a good game.
00:09:38.000 How many times have you heard an attorney general candidate?
00:09:40.000 I'm going to go after the Biden administration.
00:09:42.000 Yeah, okay.
00:09:43.000 The way you go after the Biden administration is not just filing lawsuits against the federal government.
00:09:46.000 It's, hey, have you looked into Hunter Biden's crimes lately?
00:09:52.000 Letitia James know exactly what she's doing, knows exactly what she's doing.
00:09:55.000 Okay, Kash Patel is here.
00:09:57.000 We're figuring out how to save the country through DAs and sheriffs.
00:10:01.000 Should have been done a long time ago.
00:10:05.000 Are you like every one of us that thinks our country has gone nuts, whether it's Russia Gate market crashes or selling oil to China or this insane inflation?
00:10:14.000 Well, right now, you need a financial mind who understands your concerns, but at the same time, as a Christian worldview of money.
00:10:20.000 That's why you should talk to my friends at PAX Financial Group.
00:10:24.000 Look, I've given my money to PAX Financial to manage.
00:10:26.000 If it's good enough for me, I think it's good for you.
00:10:28.000 Like all of us, they have concerns, but they also have hope.
00:10:31.000 In this market, you must have a financial person who shares your hope and at the same time can help you with biblical responsible investing, B-R-I, biblical, responsible investing.
00:10:41.000 That's why I want you to text the word Charlie to 74868.
00:10:46.000 That is Charlie to 74868 to connect with my friends at the PAX Financial Group.
00:10:51.000 Biblical responsible investing.
00:10:53.000 So take out your phone.
00:10:54.000 Just text Charlie to 74868.
00:10:57.000 That's 74868.
00:10:58.000 Text Charlie to connect with my great friends at the PAX Financial Group.
00:11:06.000 Cash, our audience loves this idea.
00:11:09.000 And they could get us the thoughts freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:11:12.000 They said, Charlie, thank you, thank you, thank you.
00:11:14.000 Go after the criminal cartel in Washington.
00:11:14.000 This is brilliant.
00:11:17.000 And Cash, the reason why now this is acceptable in the American zeitgeist is they have a county sheriff who's investigating a city governor.
00:11:26.000 Okay.
00:11:26.000 If that's now the new standard of what is acceptable, then we can have a county sheriff in Athens, Tennessee.
00:11:33.000 Great folks there.
00:11:34.000 We can have a county sheriff in western North Dakota or in Nebraska.
00:11:39.000 Say, hey, I'm going to go investigate Peter Strzok.
00:11:41.000 And we're going to go, we're going to have a special committee here in West Texas or in central Nebraska.
00:11:48.000 According to interstate obligations, if a sheriff puts forward an indictment, it will then get kicked up to state agencies.
00:11:48.000 And guess what?
00:11:57.000 And then wherever Peter Strzzok is, they're going to have to demand summons like, hey, you got to go now to North Dakota or you got to go to Nebraska and face a judge.
00:12:05.000 Cash, is this a doable idea?
00:12:08.000 It's going to require some, it's doable.
00:12:09.000 Yes.
00:12:10.000 It's going to require some savvy state level gymnastics because, yes, you can, as a matter of state, prosecute crimes that happened some partly outside of your state.
00:12:19.000 Generally, that's reserved for the federal courts, but the federal judiciary or excuse me, the federal law enforcement agencies have shown themselves to be a failure.
00:12:26.000 And so if they're doing it, you're right.
00:12:28.000 Why don't we do it?
00:12:29.000 And look, I'm going to be in Phoenix September 30th and I'm going to be hanging out with Carrie Lake and maybe we should all get together with our local sheriffs that'll be there.
00:12:36.000 We can start the process in Arizona and show the country the power of this movement.
00:12:40.000 But I think it is absolutely doable.
00:12:44.000 And there are state-level crimes and very smart lawyers, way smarter than me at the state level district attorney's offices that can go after specific electronic crimes, crimes of, you know, process crimes, crimes of destruction of evidence, crimes of conspiracy.
00:12:59.000 Those all happen within states.
00:13:01.000 And every day, states are prosecuting crimes within states with actors from outside of their states.
00:13:07.000 Yeah, it's the fact that this is happening.
00:13:10.000 We got to start to go to different levels, unfortunately.
00:13:14.000 It's what they're doing.
00:13:15.000 So, Cash, what is going on with Mr. Durham?
00:13:18.000 Is it ever going to happen?
00:13:19.000 There's a Dan Chenko case coming up.
00:13:20.000 It's pretty important, though, isn't it?
00:13:23.000 Well, I think at least the stunning part about that, and you're talking to the guy that figured out and told the world that Christopher Steele was a paid informant, not only for the Hillary Clinton campaign, but the FBI as well.
00:13:34.000 And it was a shock to even me to have Durham tell the world that Dan Chenko, the source of the Steele dossier, which was totally made up and the FBI knew it, was not only a target of an FBI investigation criminally, but when they ended that investigation and he went to Brookings with Fiona Hill and the DNC and everybody paid him to work with Christopher Steele, the FBI then hired him and put him on the payroll at the FBI to do what?
00:14:03.000 To prosecute Trump.
00:14:04.000 I mean, this talk about, I get why people say the FBI needs to be completely destroyed.
00:14:10.000 This is a rogue, rogue department that is acting.
00:14:14.000 They're saying they're acting lawfully.
00:14:17.000 And we got to get the documents out.
00:14:18.000 We need Congress more than ever.
00:14:20.000 Hopefully John Durham does it, but Congress wants a gavel switch can put these documents out from the FBI that show their own corruption.
00:14:26.000 And they're going to scream the same thing.
00:14:28.000 No, no, it's classified.
00:14:29.000 We can't talk about that, just like they did during Russia Gate, the newness members, and everything else.
00:14:32.000 Well, you know what?
00:14:33.000 They only do it when it covers their own corruption.
00:14:35.000 And Chris Ray is deafening whistleblowers who are coming forward.
00:14:40.000 And apparently he's hiring criminals for the FBI to prosecute.
00:14:43.000 Unbelievable.
00:14:44.000 Will we ever know how many people were on FBI payroll?
00:14:48.000 Will we ever know how deep it is?
00:14:50.000 Is the only way to get to the bottom of this, a Church and Pike committee equivalent, maybe a Jordan Hawley committee where it's a special committee and it's more than just writing letters.
00:15:00.000 We're talking about full extraction of information.
00:15:03.000 Your thoughts, Cash?
00:15:04.000 I think you're right.
00:15:05.000 And listen, maybe I'll go back to Congress and help them do it.
00:15:08.000 Oh, you should.
00:15:08.000 Kash Patel in charge of the special committee overseeing the FBI.
00:15:13.000 But until then, I need people to buy my book so I can afford to go back to Congress.
00:15:16.000 PlotAgainsttheking.com.
00:15:18.000 Tick off the left.
00:15:19.000 The New York Times is already doing hit pieces on it.
00:15:21.000 I have to tell you right now, I'm going to call everyone I know that is Byron Donalds, who's trying to be in leadership.
00:15:21.000 I love it.
00:15:28.000 I think very highly of Byron.
00:15:30.000 And I'm going to tell them, hey, Kash Patel should be the like Andrew Weissman of this new Congress.
00:15:39.000 Give him power, give him funding, give him standing, give him a staff, give him a team, give him a subpoena button, and let's see what happens.
00:15:48.000 Kash Patel, everybody, buy his new book.
00:15:51.000 It's a great book.
00:15:52.000 Kash Patel is a fighter.
00:15:53.000 We love having cash on this program, and he's very, very smart.
00:15:57.000 Thank you, Cash.
00:15:58.000 Thanks, Charlie.
00:15:59.000 I'll see you live next week in Arizona.
00:16:03.000 Look, rents are going way too high.
00:16:05.000 The rent is too high.
00:16:06.000 If you're renting or have a friend or family member, that is, right now is the time to make the move to homeownership.
00:16:11.000 My good buddies, Andrew Del Rey and Todd Avakian at Sierra Pacific Mortgage have helped so many people to make that leap from renting to owning.
00:16:17.000 I know what you're saying.
00:16:18.000 Oh, Charlie, rates are too high.
00:16:19.000 Listen, you could always refinance.
00:16:22.000 The problem is, though, why are you giving all of your money to rent when you could be building equity with lots of programs that offer first-time buyers assistance with little to no down payment needed?
00:16:32.000 I encourage you to visit andrewandtodd.com right now.
00:16:35.000 They're beautiful people.
00:16:36.000 They're wonderful.
00:16:37.000 The thing I love about these guys is not about the transaction.
00:16:40.000 They're about helping you.
00:16:41.000 They just helped me through a whole problem right now.
00:16:43.000 They were amazing.
00:16:44.000 There's no one like it.
00:16:45.000 And by the way, I dealt with the banks before them.
00:16:47.000 I mean, never again.
00:16:50.000 The banks, the worst.
00:16:51.000 Andrew and Todd made the whole process seamless.
00:16:55.000 They're helping you create a plan to help you reach your goals, whether it's for today or a year from now.
00:16:59.000 With today's still historically low interest rates, it's easier than you think to become a homeowner.
00:17:03.000 I've relied on them and producer Andrew has as well.
00:17:06.000 I highly recommend you take action right now.
00:17:09.000 I use them and you should too.
00:17:10.000 I know them personally.
00:17:11.000 They're patriots.
00:17:12.000 They're Christians.
00:17:12.000 Unlike these big woke, godless banks.
00:17:15.000 Why would you do your loans with banks who hate you?
00:17:18.000 And if you know someone who's still paying rent, tell them about Andrew and Todd.
00:17:20.000 Again, you might say, Charlie, now's the worst time to buy.
00:17:23.000 That's not true.
00:17:24.000 Okay, property values are going to go up.
00:17:26.000 And if you're renting, you're getting poorer.
00:17:29.000 So stop paying rent.
00:17:30.000 Start putting your hard-earned money into a home.
00:17:32.000 Again, there are some packages you might be available that might be available for you or no down payment.
00:17:36.000 Go to andrewandtodd.com.
00:17:38.000 That is andrewandtodd.com.
00:17:39.000 Tell them Charlie Kirk sent you.
00:17:41.000 They're wonderful people, enthusiastic.
00:17:43.000 They send me scripture.
00:17:44.000 They love the Lord.
00:17:46.000 They love the country.
00:17:47.000 Stop renting.
00:17:48.000 Start buying.
00:17:49.000 They're wonderful people.
00:17:50.000 AndrewandTodd.com.
00:17:55.000 I just want to thank all of you.
00:17:57.000 I learned so much from your emails and from your commentary and your feedback.
00:18:01.000 Sometimes we miss some stuff and you guys just fill in the void.
00:18:04.000 The collective intelligence of our audience is superior to any mind or any person, any snobby or smug person on cable TV.
00:18:13.000 And it's great to see.
00:18:14.000 We read every email.
00:18:15.000 We don't respond to them all, but I learn a lot.
00:18:17.000 I wish I could respond to more of them, but sometimes I respond when I think they're just outrageous things that you guys are sending me.
00:18:23.000 But that's very rare.
00:18:25.000 In fact, usually it's things we learn.
00:18:26.000 So it's freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:18:28.000 I keep it open all day.
00:18:29.000 It's great.
00:18:29.000 We love the feedback.
00:18:30.000 We love the commentary.
00:18:31.000 We love the disagreement as well.
00:18:33.000 That's what keeps things exciting and fun.
00:18:34.000 If we read all the time, it would be rather Stalinist.
00:18:37.000 With us right now is a great American patriot who is someone who's a political dissident, and they are treating him as if he is, they want to turn him into a political prisoner.
00:18:48.000 Let me put it that way.
00:18:49.000 And when you start to get into, let's just say, the pattern that the Department of Justice has shown where you start to have political prisoners, one after the other, Bannon, Navarro, it's a very dangerous precedent.
00:19:03.000 Peter Navarro's new book is Taking Back Trump's America, Why We Lost the White House and How We'll Win It Back.
00:19:09.000 Peter Navarro joins us right now.
00:19:11.000 Peter, welcome back.
00:19:13.000 Charlie, you are the, you and Pozo and others are really the young guns, the new generation.
00:19:21.000 We're passing the baton to you.
00:19:23.000 I've watched you over the years going back to the beginning of the Trump administration, and you are really on fire right now.
00:19:31.000 So I congratulate you.
00:19:33.000 It's so important because so many of the people in the Trump movement, a little long in the tooth, and you're teaching a whole new generation what it's about.
00:19:44.000 Charlie, my new book for me really is not a book, it's a mission.
00:19:49.000 The title says it all: taking back Trump's America.
00:19:53.000 We got to get Trump back in the White House in 2024.
00:19:57.000 But first, before we do that, Charlie, we got to focus like a laser beam on taking the gavel out of Pelosi's cold hands because they have weaponized the investigatory powers of Congress in an unconstitutional way.
00:20:11.000 They're out to take Trump down.
00:20:13.000 They're screwing the economy with all their profligate trillion-dollar fiscal spending bonanzas.
00:20:21.000 And I'm trying to stay really focused, particularly on the House races, a few of the Senate races, like Blake Masters in Arizona, Merchant Walker in Georgia, and JD Vance in Ohio.
00:20:35.000 But you know the mission, Charlie, and I'm glad to be on the battlefield with you.
00:20:40.000 So I want everyone to pick up a copy of this, Taking Back Trump's America.
00:20:44.000 I'm going to say this, Peter.
00:20:45.000 You can agree or disagree, but Peter, he needs the best lawyers he can get right now.
00:20:50.000 The DOJ is coming after him.
00:20:52.000 And if you want to support Peter, but also get a book in return to learn, we're going to talk about the book in great detail.
00:20:57.000 It's Taking Back Trump's America by Peter Navarro: Why We Lost the White House and How We'll Win It Back.
00:21:04.000 Now, Peter, I think some people in our audience, though, are going to say we didn't lose the White House.
00:21:09.000 It was taken from us.
00:21:11.000 We were interfered with.
00:21:12.000 Why did you decide to use that language?
00:21:16.000 In the first chapter, Charlie, I explain how bad personnel, disloyalists, traitors, and incompetent people within the West Wing made that election close enough to steal.
00:21:29.000 So, can you say some names on our program?
00:21:33.000 I can say all of them.
00:21:34.000 Here's the problem.
00:21:36.000 And let's do a little history here, Charlie.
00:21:38.000 Ronald Reagan personnel is policy, one of the great phrases of all time.
00:21:42.000 In other words, if you put the wrong people in that don't reflect the president's ideology, you're going to get the wrong result.
00:21:50.000 Reagan actually learned that from Nixon, who made that mistake.
00:21:53.000 In Trump land, we did not.
00:21:55.000 The day after the November 8th, 2016 election, a devil's bargain, what Steve Bannon calls the original sin of the administration, was to think somehow we could integrate the rhino RNC traditional Republican wing in with the Trumpers.
00:22:12.000 It did not work.
00:22:14.000 If, if in terms of name and names, if I had two people alone who would never have darkened the Oval Office door, I think Trump would still be there.
00:22:22.000 I had Steve Mnuchin, the Treasury Secretary.
00:22:25.000 That guy was a one-man wrecking crew, Charlie, on our tough-on-China policies.
00:22:30.000 Backstabbed, he back-channeled, and now he's out cashing in on it.
00:22:34.000 The other was the son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
00:22:36.000 A lot of people were afraid to talk about him for obvious reasons.
00:22:41.000 But I'll tell you this as a matter of history.
00:22:43.000 He screwed up our China policy.
00:22:45.000 He screwed up the pandemic.
00:22:47.000 And most of all, he ran the worst campaign in presidential history.
00:22:51.000 He was like a monkey with a flamethrower burning cash, which we did not have at the end.
00:22:56.000 And then you had Charlie, the three generals, H.R. McMaster, Mattis at the Pentagon, and John Kelly as chief of staff.
00:23:04.000 Charlie, what amazed me is like the first rule of the military is what?
00:23:08.000 Obey the chain of command.
00:23:10.000 You don't do that, the military breaks down.
00:23:13.000 Those three generals, they consistently ignored President Trump as the commander in chief because they thought they knew better.
00:23:22.000 And Lighthizer, the trade rep, used to joke with me.
00:23:25.000 He'd say, there are two kinds of people in the White House.
00:23:29.000 The people who thought they had to save the world from Trump, those were the rhinos and the disloyalists.
00:23:35.000 And there were those like me and Lighthouse who thought Trump would save the world.
00:23:40.000 And that never should have happened, Charlie.
00:23:42.000 And certainly it won't happen in the second term.
00:23:44.000 I do offer my dream cabinet, my dream West Wing.
00:23:49.000 I got guys like Kash Patel as the director of national intelligence.
00:23:53.000 I think Pozo, Jack Pessoba, would actually make a hell of a national security advisor right in the West Wing, given his training.
00:24:03.000 Bring back some of the old guard like Robert O'Brien at state.
00:24:06.000 But the mission for your viewers and the Taking Back Trump's America book really is the blueprint for this.
00:24:13.000 We got to start with the House of Representatives.
00:24:15.000 There's a great chapter in the book, Charlie, about how a couple of lunkheads in the White House allowed Trump to focus too much on the Senate races in 2018.
00:24:28.000 We could have held on to the House.
00:24:30.000 Pelosi never would have got the gavel.
00:24:32.000 But that was a strategic failure, and it led to a couple of impeachments and making life miserable.
00:24:38.000 And now Pelosi is using that kangaroo court up on the hill to try to stop Trump from running in 2024.
00:24:46.000 That's so interesting.
00:24:47.000 And Peter, I want to echo what you said there, which is I spent a lot of time in the White House.
00:24:53.000 And full disclosure, we had Jared on our program.
00:24:56.000 I always got along with Jared.
00:24:57.000 I know people had a lot of different opinions, and you obviously had workings there.
00:25:00.000 But with some of the other names that you mentioned, I could say that there was this ideological, not just difference, but there was, what's the right word I'm looking for?
00:25:10.000 There was hatred towards the Trump agenda, that we want to undermine it, that we want to destroy it, that we want to shred it.
00:25:16.000 And so, you know, Peter, what really bothers me is that there were many times to make this right throughout the administration.
00:25:24.000 It was identified.
00:25:24.000 It was talked to.
00:25:26.000 And, you know, I just talked to the president the other day, and he's, you know, I said, well, what are you going to do different if you get a second term?
00:25:31.000 He said, personnel, personnel, personnel.
00:25:33.000 It's people, people, he said that.
00:25:36.000 He acknowledges it.
00:25:37.000 But, Peter, I'll be honest, he still has some of the snakes around him right now.
00:25:41.000 Does he ever, Charlie?
00:25:43.000 And I'm glad you said that because it's got to look.
00:25:46.000 Look, he's not going to be real happy with some of the stuff I'm saying in terms of outing people, but he's got to hear that.
00:25:53.000 And he's got to hear it from you.
00:25:55.000 He's got to hear it from me.
00:25:56.000 He's got to hear it from Bannon.
00:25:58.000 He's got to hear it from Corey Lewandowski.
00:26:00.000 And it's just wrong.
00:26:04.000 It's toxic.
00:26:05.000 And we, you know, this country can prosper under Trump.
00:26:11.000 And I'm glad you saw it from the inside.
00:26:13.000 And guess what?
00:26:14.000 I got along with Jared.
00:26:16.000 That's not the issue.
00:26:17.000 We were not antagonists.
00:26:19.000 We were not doing battle all the time.
00:26:21.000 We disagreed sharply about a lot of things.
00:26:24.000 It was always cordial.
00:26:26.000 But boy, at the end of the day, Charlie, that guy was a one-man wrecking crew, and history needs to know that.
00:26:32.000 And I'm not sure I would have been as harsh on him if he hadn't been writing his book of fiction, which here's the thing with Jared.
00:26:41.000 It's like he always wanted to take credit for whatever happened and then blame anybody for anything that happened bad.
00:26:48.000 And you know what?
00:26:49.000 There's a great story in the Taking Back Trump's America book about his confrontations between him and Dave Bossi and Corey Lewandowski on the other side.
00:26:59.000 I love those guys.
00:27:00.000 Those guys are straight up Trump guys.
00:27:02.000 And what Jared would do with the polling, he would go in and whatever the polls looked like, he'd add points to it and make it seem like Trump was winning in a walk.
00:27:14.000 And it had a Charlie, I was in the oval.
00:27:16.000 Had a material effect, not so much on Trump, but on the people around him, like Mnuchin and Kudlow, who could then say, Yeah, we don't want to get tough too tough on China or do anything, you know, stand pad, and everything's going to be okay.
00:27:32.000 I mean, Mnuchin, you would sit there and say, We're going to win in a walk.
00:27:37.000 And it just, it was just so wrong, Charlie.
00:27:40.000 So, taking back Trump's America is telling the truth.
00:27:43.000 The other, I mean, look, another villain for me.
00:27:45.000 I don't know how you feel about these guys, but Mitch McConnell.
00:27:48.000 Oh, well, worry.
00:27:48.000 I mean, that guy was one-man wrecking crew.
00:27:52.000 When we got there, yeah, he got us a bunch of judges, and good for him.
00:27:56.000 But what he did, Charlie, and this needs to be known, what he did, Charlie, was he slow walked a lot of the Trump appointees to fill the top position.
00:28:08.000 We couldn't drain the swamp.
00:28:09.000 Well, he did that.
00:28:10.000 He did that as it was legislative hostage taking to be able to say, Oh, well, you want, for example, you know, just a name off the top of my head, you know, you want Tillerson, or you want someone in this position, or you want Grinnell.
00:28:23.000 Grinnell was the big one, right?
00:28:25.000 So, Grinnell, as you know, ambassador to Germany, well, Mr. President, these things just don't happen on their own.
00:28:31.000 And he was able to slow walk the wall, able to slow walk a lot of the legislative goals.
00:28:36.000 And for whatever reason, one of the big mistakes I think of the whole, there were a couple mistakes that I think we could all agree with.
00:28:43.000 Jeff Sessions was a massive personnel mistake.
00:28:46.000 It just never should have happened.
00:28:48.000 He was ideological, but he never should have accused himself.
00:28:50.000 And that whole thing went out, went outside, you know, went south.
00:28:54.000 And then the second thing, I'd love your thoughts.
00:28:55.000 That doesn't get focused on.
00:28:57.000 Why did we decide to go after healthcare first?
00:29:01.000 Right?
00:29:01.000 Yeah, that's right in there, too.
00:29:04.000 Let me start with Jeff Sessions.
00:29:06.000 Look, whoa, I love Jeff Sessions.
00:29:08.000 They put him in the wrong post.
00:29:09.000 He got eaten alive at justice.
00:29:11.000 It was stupid.
00:29:12.000 That was just stupid.
00:29:13.000 I say in the book, though, if he had been put at Department of Homeland Security in charge of the border, he would have served for four years admirably.
00:29:21.000 And he would have cleaned that whole place up.
00:29:24.000 The DOJ is way different than DHS.
00:29:27.000 It just, it's a completely different ballgame.
00:29:29.000 Yes.
00:29:30.000 Yeah.
00:29:30.000 I mean, he got finessed by the deep swampers.
00:29:34.000 The Justice Department.
00:29:35.000 They're full of some sharks and predators and piranhas.
00:29:38.000 They ate him alive.
00:29:40.000 And then we got Bill Barr.
00:29:41.000 I mean, there's great stories in Taking Back Trump's America about how Bill Barr literally sold us down the Shanghai, even as he didn't crack down on the Russia hoax.
00:29:53.000 So personnel is policy.
00:29:55.000 My mantra is bad personnel is not just bad policy.
00:29:59.000 Reagan hired young and he hired ideological and he hired loyal.
00:30:04.000 And that made a big difference in the Reagan administration.
00:30:09.000 Peter, I never understood.
00:30:11.000 The first thing we do is a wildly controversial health care bill in Congress.
00:30:15.000 We should have done the wall.
00:30:16.000 We should have done national security.
00:30:18.000 We should have done infrastructure.
00:30:19.000 We should have done something that would have been popular.
00:30:21.000 Your thoughts, Peter?
00:30:23.000 The long version is in the Taking Back Trump's America book.
00:30:26.000 The short version is that was the Rhinos and Paul Ryan, Reince Priebus, trying to stay away from the good stuff, the border and trade and the tax bill.
00:30:37.000 It's pretty simple.
00:30:38.000 They outmaneuvered us because they lied to us.
00:30:41.000 They said, yeah, we can get that done.
00:30:43.000 And it was crazy.
00:30:44.000 How stupid are you?
00:30:46.000 Like that brought Hillary and Bill down.
00:30:49.000 I mean, there's plenty of history to say, don't go there.
00:30:52.000 That was Reinz.
00:30:53.000 That was Ryan when he was Speaker of the House.
00:30:56.000 And we got snookered.
00:30:57.000 Yeah, imagine if we would have made the wall, which was a campaign promise.
00:31:01.000 You have a little momentum from the inauguration, a first 60-day campaign, and said, hey, and then we're going to do a re-domiciling campaign or a window.
00:31:10.000 If you want to bring jobs back to America, do it the right way, not the corrupt way.
00:31:13.000 That would have been very hard for them to defeat.
00:31:16.000 Okay, so the second part here, Peter, is how we win it back.
00:31:19.000 How do we win it back?
00:31:21.000 We have to be true to our MAGA principles, make America great again.
00:31:27.000 There's a great discussion in the book about the central difference between the rhinos and the Trump deplorables.
00:31:34.000 And it really boils down to three things we agree on, which is low tax burden for the middle class, small regulatory burden for small business, strategic energy dominance.
00:31:45.000 We can all agree on that, Charlie, because under the Republican conservative independent tent, we can agree on that.
00:31:52.000 Where we diverge with the rhinos, and this is the problem we had during the first administration.
00:32:00.000 Secure borders.
00:32:02.000 We love secure borders, Charlie.
00:32:05.000 That's the pathway to rising real wages for black, brown, and blue-collar Americans in a prosperous middle class.
00:32:13.000 The rhinos hate that.
00:32:15.000 Why?
00:32:15.000 Because the money from Wall Street and the multinational corporations and big pharma love to import that cheap labor across the border, just as they love to offshore the jobs to the sweatshops of Asia and Communist China and the pollution havens.
00:32:31.000 That's where the battle gets fought.
00:32:33.000 And we can't muddle that.
00:32:35.000 And as we go out and appeal to the voters and the electorate, we have to talk pure MAGA.
00:32:43.000 The other part of that iron MAGA triangle, Charlie, is of course the end to endless wars.
00:32:49.000 And regrettably, we didn't run as hard as we should have in 2020 on that.
00:32:55.000 Going into 22 now, every candidate who's MAGA needs to be talking about those issues and fighting inflation.
00:33:02.000 And that's what we need to go forward with in 2024.
00:33:06.000 And the other part about this whole thing is, is we've got to, in order for Trump to win, it's so critical to win that House of Representatives, Charlie.
00:33:16.000 I can't stress that anymore.
00:33:18.000 If Pelosi holds on to that gavel, Charlie, she's going to make life miserable for everybody in Trump land.
00:33:25.000 And so, what I'm urging people to do, I'm sure you've had a lot of these candidates on, but find a candidate that you can give time and money to running in a toss-up district, Charlie, a toss-up district.
00:33:38.000 Joe Kent in Washington, we love that guy.
00:33:41.000 There's a guy, Bruce Pullikin, in District 2 of Maine.
00:33:46.000 We'd love to have that in Republican hands.
00:33:49.000 Bo Hines in North Carolina.
00:33:51.000 I can go around the country and talk about the races, but it could come down to one, one seat.
00:33:58.000 And so if we don't get that, we're not going to be able to get the White House in 2024, Charlie.
00:34:06.000 Yeah, it's super important.
00:34:07.000 Do you think Trump should announce before the midterms?
00:34:10.000 No, it's too soon now, but I am forecasting a Christmas present, a Christmas president.
00:34:17.000 I think that the time will be ripe.
00:34:21.000 But it's really important now to stay focused.
00:34:25.000 Look, I think it's about less than 50 days now, Charlie.
00:34:28.000 Yeah, we're right.
00:34:29.000 Not only that, ballots go out, ballots go out 18 days.
00:34:32.000 Yeah.
00:34:33.000 So, you know, all my energy, you know, I got legal issues with the FBI and the Department of Dual System of Injustice and the House and all that.
00:34:43.000 But my focus really is making sure, like a laser beam, in the next 50 days that we focus getting that House of Representatives back and making sure, Charlie, that a Trump Republican holds the gavel in there.
00:34:57.000 That is critical.
00:34:58.000 Okay.
00:35:00.000 We don't need to do all this work to turn the reins of power over to rhinos who are going to basically go against Trump.
00:35:06.000 I mean, it's like we don't need that anymore.
00:35:09.000 We need to be united.
00:35:11.000 So, yeah, that's the last question, Peter.
00:35:12.000 What do you say to people that say, hey, I live in a state and I don't like the candidates, but it's against a Democrat?
00:35:17.000 Is there an argument to say, suck it up so we can get the majorities back?
00:35:21.000 Oh, this is easy, Charlie.
00:35:23.000 We live in a virtual world.
00:35:25.000 If you live in Chicago, Illinois, you're surrounded with blues, right?
00:35:32.000 Okay, that's okay.
00:35:34.000 Get on the internet, find a congressional candidate in a toss-up race and send him some money.
00:35:40.000 Volunteer from time.
00:35:42.000 You can volunteer on a congressional campaign in Arizona or Blake Masters, help him out in Arizona, or the Troika governors, Charlie.
00:35:50.000 You know who they are, right?
00:35:51.000 It's Carrie Lake in Arizona, Tudor Dixon in Michigan, Doug Mastriano in Pennsylvania.
00:35:57.000 Those are game changers right there.
00:36:00.000 Mark Fincham.
00:36:01.000 So what I say to people is don't get mad, but also get even.
00:36:06.000 Get even by helping candidates and boost the turnout.
00:36:10.000 It's well said.
00:36:11.000 Peter Navarro, check out his book, Taking Back Trump's America.
00:36:14.000 Thank you so much.
00:36:15.000 Appreciate it.
00:36:16.000 You're my brother, Charlie.
00:36:17.000 Take care.
