00:01:12.000 Joining us now is the center of all the energy this week at CPAC is Matt Schlapp.
00:01:19.000 Matt, welcome to the program.
00:01:20.000 Looks like it's a great one.
00:01:22.000 Great to be with you, Charlie.
00:01:23.000 Matt, give us the update of how things are going on the ground at CPAC.
00:01:26.000 Yeah, you know, I think it's awfully important now that we're in this election year that we wake everybody up who feels like, you know what, we've lost so much.
00:01:35.000 We've lost so much ground to the left that is there really any use after all the cheating in the elections?
00:01:41.000 You know, what do I matter?
00:01:43.000 And since I live in this kind of like broken, bankrupt blue city of Washington, D.C., I experience that on a regular basis.
00:01:51.000 Great people who love this country just feel like the fight is over.
00:01:54.000 And so the job of CPAC with everyone who's in the hall and also just all the people who are watching from around the country and around the world is to begin the rallying cry this year to make everybody realize we are right at the brink of victory.
00:02:07.000 Donald Trump wins that White House again.
00:02:10.000 We get four more years to actually drain this swamp starting on the very first moment of the very first day.
00:02:16.000 This gives this country a new birth of freedom.
00:02:19.000 It's not the long-term answer because in a democracy, you get kind of short terms, but it is the absolute reprieve we need.
00:02:26.000 And I feel it, it's coming together, Charlie, because, you know, Washington's not exactly the place everybody who thinks like us wants to fly to, but this place is completely jam-packed.
00:02:36.000 You know, the tickets are sold out.
00:02:37.000 The rooms are gone, and people are stoked.
00:02:41.000 So, Matt, tell us about some of the big themes and some of the, I know you have Trump coming this weekend.
00:02:46.000 He's going to be giving a major address.
00:02:48.000 Some of the big themes that you're hearing from the grassroots as we get ready for this incredibly significant election in November.
00:02:56.000 Yeah, it's big.
00:02:57.000 It's hard to, we always say it's the biggest election in our lifetime, but this is now kind of like the only election in our lifetime.
00:03:02.000 Not just the biggest, but like everything is on the line.
00:03:05.000 And, you know, usually our straw poll gets a lot of news.
00:03:08.000 It's the real America's Voice straw poll.
00:03:11.000 But I don't think it's so much about the presidency.
00:03:13.000 I think you can stick a fork in her.
00:03:15.000 I think that part's done.
00:03:16.000 But it's the question of who's Donald Trump going to pick to be his VP.
00:03:19.000 Most of those major contenders will be here in an apprentice-like, you know, performance, showing the crowd what they got, what they think.
00:03:29.000 And then we'll ask the question of our attendees: who would you like to see Donald Trump pick?
00:03:34.000 And then the second big theme, our overall theme is where globalism goes to die.
00:03:39.000 And there's so many things happening around the world and in our society that are being controlled by these global elites.
00:03:46.000 One of the worst things is the fact that the WHO is on the brink of taking basically the national sovereignty of free people and really dictating terms to them on basic questions of health or using health as a scare tactic to shut us all down and close down our churches and close down our schools.
00:04:02.000 Can you imagine, you know, Americans didn't exactly clothe themselves in valor during the last pandemic.
00:04:09.000 Can you imagine if it's China who's dictating those terms?
00:04:12.000 Well, that's that's the strange world we're going into.
00:04:15.000 And these are the types of things we're talking about.
00:04:17.000 So, Matt, yeah, talk more about the health thing.
00:04:19.000 You have a whole bunch of doctors coming, don't you have like Dr. McCullough or Dr. Malone or somebody doing something huge?
00:04:24.000 Tell us about that.
00:04:25.000 Yeah, Dr. Malone and other leading health experts from around the world have convened their own meeting, which is coinciding with CPAC.
00:04:33.000 And it started yesterday at our international summit.
00:04:36.000 It's the first time we've had an international summit.
00:04:38.000 Over 20 countries assembling to talk about these basic issues.
00:04:41.000 And we passed a resolution of action and condemnation on the WHO.
00:04:45.000 Robert was there.
00:04:47.000 Robert and I are kind of like fake ranchers out in the Virginia Mountains because we're so done with living in the city.
00:04:54.000 And he's just a fabulous, wonderful, kind of late in life conservative.
00:04:59.000 I don't know if he'd even call himself a conservative.
00:05:01.000 He's just had enough with these elites who are destroying all of our lives.
00:05:05.000 So, you know, being a conservative is the term I always use.
00:05:08.000 I don't know if it's operable anymore.
00:05:10.000 Now I'm just an American and I love freedom and I adore our Constitution and our history.
00:05:15.000 And we have a lot of people rallying to this cause, as you know, Charlie, who maybe wouldn't have gone through the orthodox paths to get to join us.
00:05:22.000 And Robert Malone is one of them.
00:05:23.000 But we need them.
00:05:24.000 We need every single one of them.
00:05:25.000 I always say, if you agree with us on a couple questions, join this fight because it's a fight to save America.
00:05:31.000 So there's also a lot of chatter around, you know, the getting the grassroots organized in Arizona and Wisconsin and Georgia.
00:05:40.000 Talk about that.
00:05:41.000 You have some big precinct leaders, state party chairs that are coming.
00:05:44.000 I know Steve Bannon had a PACT force multiplier event.
00:05:48.000 Tell us all about that.
00:05:50.000 Yeah, it was awesome.
00:05:51.000 I was there.
00:05:51.000 I think, I mean, he says it was more than 200.
00:05:53.000 I would kind of, I would up that probably double that.
00:05:56.000 And it was really exciting to talk about these people.
00:05:59.000 Look, Charlie, I know you're very involved in this effort.
00:06:02.000 Everyone has their own lane they want to pick.
00:06:04.000 Should we be chasing ballots?
00:06:05.000 Should we be voting early?
00:06:07.000 Should we be having a whole coordinated activity at these election centers?
00:06:11.000 Should we be guarding election boxes?
00:06:14.000 I think the key is, is that here at CPAC, we have different groups that have signed up to do different things.
00:06:20.000 And my call to the activist is get in those rooms.
00:06:23.000 Take those $12 an hour jobs, even if you're someone who doesn't need the money.
00:06:27.000 Get in the rooms.
00:06:28.000 It used to be about being an election observer.
00:06:31.000 In my time in national politics, it was all about the volunteers watching the count.
00:06:36.000 Well, things have gotten so crooked.
00:06:38.000 You got to be in the room with doing the count.
00:06:42.000 Most of these elections are being determined by temps in our largest cities.
00:06:45.000 So why don't we get those jobs?
00:06:47.000 And if there's wrongdoing, take the videos.
00:06:49.000 And the other thing we have to do is we have to intimidate in the nicest of ways all these elected officials that continue to flout the law.
00:06:57.000 I don't care what jurisdiction you're in.
00:06:59.000 Go to the meetings, make appointments, make it very clear, become conversant with the law.
00:07:05.000 If the citizens don't stand up, nobody in a white building in Washington, D.C. is going to make any changes.
00:07:12.000 And I will say this, all this news about Michael Watley from North Carolina being the chairman is someone I've known for 20 years.
00:07:20.000 He's brilliant.
00:07:21.000 He's an election lawyer.
00:07:23.000 He's exactly the type of leadership, if that's where this goes, that we need.
00:07:27.000 And I'm going to help him just in every way I possibly can.
00:07:31.000 And I think we need, look, we need new leadership in these organizations who have quite frankly failed us.
00:07:38.000 And the grassroots believes that and fundraising shows that.
00:07:42.000 And I also think it's very important for groups like CPAC and Turning Point and others to be very well funded in their plans.
00:07:49.000 If we just rely on the national committees and the national campaigns to get this thing done, we will fail again.
00:07:55.000 We've got to make sure all these outside groups have the coffers to do what it takes.
00:07:59.000 That's what the left does now.
00:08:01.000 And, you know, as much as I think the left is evil, sometimes I think they're slyer than us.
00:08:06.000 How about we hopscotch them and we innovate and we do things they've never thought of?
00:08:11.000 No, I love that.
00:08:12.000 So Matt, walk us through the sequence, some of the speakers, how people can watch online.
00:08:16.000 I know Real America's voice is streaming a lot of it, just the details for people that are remote.
00:08:20.000 Well, I want to first compliment Real America's voice on streaming the international summit.
00:08:24.000 That was an amazing thing to see a resolution on the WHO, a resolution in support of Israel and a resolution calling out the crimes of the Biden administration on election interference, akin to what Vladimir Putin gets charged with doing by trying to put Donald Trump in prison, all coordinated, by the way, by the White House Council, who continues to be an anonymous person in our society.
00:08:44.000 I think we ought to make him famous because what he's doing is wrong.
00:08:47.000 And so over the course of the next couple of days, as you know, with your great conference, these grassroots supporters will be hearing from the big names.
00:08:56.000 We had less congressmen and senators, Charlie, because quite frankly, if you don't believe in using the power, then we're not going to buy you to CPAC.
00:09:03.000 We want people like Tommy Tuberville, who spoke this morning, who believes in using his Senate power to stop the intransigence of the Biden administration.
00:09:10.000 And beyond that, I don't think just picking a bunch of Washington politicians does very much.
00:09:15.000 We need to get back into these grassroots and highlight the heroes, highlight the heroes on the border, highlight the heroes in our communities that are standing up for girls' sports and the pushing back on the insanity of what's going on in our schools.
00:09:30.000 And, you know, and we're also going to have this international flair.
00:09:33.000 We have the president of El Salvador closing tonight, President Bukeley.
00:09:38.000 And we're going to have Javier Millé, the new president of Argentina, will be joining us.
00:09:43.000 And then they come with all these interesting people from their areas.
00:09:46.000 You know, Charlie, they love to call us racists.
00:09:48.000 It's just so strange that when all the continents assemble at our conferences of all different religions, all different skin colors, it really kind of makes that racism charge completely absurd.
00:09:59.000 I love it.
00:09:59.000 Matt, keep fighting.
00:10:00.000 Great work.
00:10:01.000 Thanks so much.
00:10:02.000 Thank you, Charlie.
00:10:05.000 As we've all seen over the past few years, the amount of heavy metals, microplastics, and other toxins we are all exposed to has only increased.
00:10:13.000 These are important world issues we must continue to discuss.
00:10:16.000 And since you know that I take my health seriously, I only stand by the best.
00:10:19.000 One company that is aware of these global challenges and that I proudly support is Ascent Nutrition, which has unique health products meant for these times.
00:10:28.000 One I've been using is their Pine Pollen Tincture, which contains 200 nutrients and important components like glutathione and DHEA.
00:10:37.000 Glutathione is known for healthy detoxification and immune support, while DHEA is known as the happiness hormone and supports mood and brain health.
00:10:47.000 Pine pollen is also nature's highest source of special phytohormones, which support hormone function, libido, and adrenal health.
00:10:55.000 I love it because you could truly feel the benefits.
00:10:58.000 And since I am now telling everyone about it, they expect to sell out fast.
00:11:02.000 Before they sell out, click the link in the description below and use the code Kirk to save 10% on your Pine Pollen Tincture and all other products.
00:11:13.000 I want to analyze part of the Trump town hall that he had with the great Laura Ingram.
00:11:18.000 Laura Ingram is terrific, great American.
00:11:21.000 If he continues with this type of messaging, he's going to consolidate Republican support and it's going to be harder and harder for the bad guys to do what they did in 2020.
00:11:33.000 I don't know if we have this one piece of tape.
00:11:37.000 It was just one of the funniest Trump moments I've seen in some time where he says, and there's people, they're coming in.
00:11:44.000 They say, Where are you from?
00:11:46.000 Congo.
00:11:47.000 And where did you live?
00:11:48.000 Prison.
00:11:49.000 Do we have that quote?
00:11:51.000 Ryan, it's one of the funniest little summaries.
00:11:55.000 Donald Trump running against migrant crime and running against an invasion is a winning message.
00:12:02.000 When you think about it, people, civilizations, countries, nations, towns have been invaded for over 5,000 years.
00:12:11.000 It is a message that is very easy for people to understand.
00:12:16.000 Let's play Cut 50.
00:12:17.000 This is a winning message.
00:12:19.000 This wins over blacks, wins over Hispanics, wins over working-class voters, wins over suburban voters.
00:12:26.000 And boy, it is a huge issue across the country.
00:12:30.000 You are seeing break-ins, DUIs, rapes, arson, murder committed by illegals.
00:12:40.000 Play Cut 50.
00:12:41.000 It's a new category.
00:12:42.000 I don't know if you've heard this, but I came up with this one: migrant crime.
00:12:46.000 There's crime, there's violent crime, there's migrant crime.
00:12:49.000 We have a new category of crime.
00:12:51.000 It's called migrant crime.
00:12:52.000 And it's going to be worse than any other form of crime.
00:12:55.000 He continues to say that if we don't have a border, we do not have a country.
00:13:01.000 My favorite part of the town hall that I encourage you to watch is this: it's Cut 47.
00:13:08.000 It is: he very easily could have defected.
00:13:12.000 He very easily could have backed down or surrendered.
00:13:15.000 Play Cut 47.
00:13:16.000 Here we just say to yourself, you know, I'm done.
00:13:19.000 This is what they, why?
00:13:21.000 A lot of people would have said, I'm going to come out.
00:13:24.000 Why are you staying in this?
00:13:27.000 I can't because I want to make America great again.
00:13:30.000 It's not great right now.
00:13:32.000 And we can do that.
00:13:33.000 We can do that.
00:13:35.000 We can do that.
00:13:36.000 We can do it.
00:13:37.000 We can get it fixed.
00:13:38.000 It's harder now.
00:13:40.000 It would have been so much easier if we just finished off that.
00:13:42.000 Everything would have been so perfect.
00:13:44.000 We had the border set.
00:13:45.000 Everything was set to rock and roll.
00:13:47.000 He wants common sense things for the country.
00:13:51.000 Play cut 51.
00:13:52.000 And I always say, I want people with common sense because there's so many things happening in this country that don't make sense.
00:13:59.000 Who wants an open border?
00:14:00.000 Who wants high interest rates?
00:14:02.000 Who wants all electric vehicles?
00:14:04.000 And they're fine, but you want to have choice.
00:14:06.000 You want to go to combustion.
00:14:08.000 You want to go to any hybrid.
00:14:11.000 I think the hybrid are much better from that standpoint.
00:14:14.000 But you talk, we were talking about forces.
00:14:17.000 We're talking about mission.
00:14:18.000 We're talking about so much.
00:14:19.000 It's all based on common sense.
00:14:21.000 We want a strong military.
00:14:22.000 We want choice in education.
00:14:24.000 We want to have things that can really make our country great again.
00:14:29.000 Contrast that with Cut 79.
00:14:33.000 And the economy is growing.
00:14:35.000 It's growing.
00:14:37.000 Jobs, income across the board.
00:14:40.000 We have the most advanced economy of any major nation in the world.
00:14:45.000 It really makes people say, you know, is Biden going to drop out of the race?
00:14:49.000 At this point, I think I want to run against Biden more than anybody else.
00:14:53.000 It seems to be that the Democrat cabal, the Democrat oligarchy, they're pushing and they're pushing to try to have Biden removed, but it's getting late in the game.
00:15:04.000 It's getting late in the game.
00:15:05.000 And my advice to Speaker Johnson is: you guys missed the opportunity to get through all the impeachment stuff.
00:15:11.000 You have to put points on the board for this continuing resolution coming up in March, by the way.
00:15:16.000 It's coming up in just about a week.
00:15:18.000 And are we going to do another CR?
00:15:20.000 It is just one CR after the other, one CR after the other.
00:15:28.000 Hey, this is Charlie Kirk, and I know a lot of you have been suffering under the Biden economy.
00:15:32.000 Recently, school loan payments have been reinstated, and for many, it's adding thousands to their monthly expenses.
00:15:38.000 My friends, Andrew Delray and Todd of Akeen, they're amazing.
00:15:40.000 They really helped me through a tough, tough situation recently.
00:15:43.000 They've been excellent.
00:15:44.000 They're ethical.
00:15:45.000 They're just really great people.
00:15:47.000 They're followers of Jesus Christ.
00:15:49.000 And our worldviews are the same.
00:15:51.000 I love them.
00:15:52.000 And so please go to AndrewNTodd.com.
00:15:53.000 Interest rates are coming down, and they may be able to lower your overall payment.
00:15:56.000 In fact, one of our team members said, Charlie, is it time to me to own a home?
00:15:59.000 I sat down, I went through the numbers.
00:16:00.000 I said, get in the owner game.
00:16:02.000 Honestly, enough renting.
00:16:03.000 You are burning your money renting.
00:16:04.000 It might be a little bit more to own, but you're building equity.
00:16:06.000 That's money you'll have for the rest of your life.
00:16:09.000 Perhaps a reverse mortgage is a perfect solution.
00:16:11.000 It's about expertise you could trust in times like this.
00:16:13.000 I can't tell you how helpful they've been for me personally.
00:16:15.000 They've just been excellent.
00:16:16.000 Andrew and Todd, I'm honored to call them friends.
00:16:18.000 We hang out when I go to Orange County together.
00:16:20.000 They're really great.
00:16:21.000 So say, Charlie sent me 888-888-1172.
00:16:24.000 That's 888-888-1172.
00:16:26.000 They helped me through a mortgage situation recently that was super complex and moving pieces, and it was really, really tough.
00:16:32.000 And other banks, by the way, wanted nothing to do with it, and they crushed it for me.
00:16:36.000 10 out of 10.
00:16:36.000 AndrewandTodd.com.
00:16:38.000 So check it out right now, AndrewandTodd.com.
00:16:42.000 Joining us now is Russ Vote.
00:16:45.000 Russ, welcome back to the program.
00:16:46.000 Russ, I read this article trying to attack you for being a Christian.
00:16:52.000 I didn't even make it all the way through the article, as most of them.
00:16:55.000 But the Raw Story one says, Christian nationalist Trump ally crafting plan to invoke Insurrection Act on day one.
00:17:02.000 Russ, what's going on here?
00:17:04.000 Yeah, this is part of an ongoing strategy on the left to demonize Christians who are involved in the political process.
00:17:10.000 And generally, the left is okay if you privatize your faith, but God forbid you would ever take your Christian worldview and seek to apply it on a principled basis to the various public policy questions that come across the public square.
00:17:25.000 And this has been an effort for years.
00:17:28.000 The left has invested in the term Christian nationalist because they're trying to get Christians who think and love and care about their nation to not endeavor to be in the public square.
00:17:41.000 And this is kind of, you know, the latest of their attempts to weaponize this.
00:17:48.000 They're trying to kind of connect it with the Trump administration.
00:17:51.000 Obviously, the President Trump supports what he has put out on his website.
00:17:56.000 That's his agenda.
00:17:57.000 We have a separate think tank in which we work on paradigm shifting ideas.
00:18:01.000 And one of those paradigm shifting ideas is that as a country, we've been too secular.
00:18:06.000 The conservative movement has been too secular and that we're not going to save our country or have anything to sell to the American people that's largely just divorced from the soul and is just pure materialism.
00:18:17.000 We believe that you've got to appeal to people on the basis of who they are, created in the image of God.
00:18:23.000 And one of the aspects of that is that people have souls.
00:18:26.000 And so that is why we care a lot about this debate because for too long, and Charlie, you've seen this a lot with all of the work that you've been doing in churches, that people in the pews have had pastors that have been giving them bad advice that have been saying, look, don't work tirelessly and care about your country.
00:18:45.000 That's wrong.
00:18:46.000 And one of our major priorities as a center is to change that worldview.
00:18:51.000 The dominant view of the Uniparty is secularism.
00:18:55.000 And I hope everyone understands that.
00:18:57.000 And the Uniparty thrives on, especially from the center right, de-emphasizing any sort of biblical worldview.
00:19:06.000 And you might have your own private traditions.
00:19:08.000 You might have Christmas or you can go to Mass, but don't you ever allow it to instruct why you do what you do.
00:19:15.000 So, Russ, I want to play a tape here.
00:19:17.000 It's from Joy Reed, PlayCut 52.
00:19:20.000 Russell Vaut, Trump's former OMB director.
00:19:23.000 Christian nationalism is a top priority, along with invoking the Insurrection Act on day one to quash protests and refusing to spend authorized congressional funds on unwanted projects.
00:19:35.000 So, your response to Joy Reed.
00:19:38.000 I mean, they mash about 15 to 20 different policy ideas.
00:19:42.000 I think she was referring to impoundment.
00:19:44.000 That's a budget idea that has nothing to do necessarily with what we're talking about.
00:19:48.000 You had all sorts of normal social conservative policies that have been articulated.
00:19:54.000 And then you're bringing in Joy's concerns about the conservative movement and us being against critical race theory, which is state-sanctioned racism.
00:20:02.000 So, they have put all these things together and just said that's Christian nationalism.
00:20:08.000 And every one of them needs to be unpacked and to figure out what, in fact, we are proposing and what we are not.
00:20:13.000 What is leftist slander?
00:20:14.000 Each one of them, they are slandering us, which is par for the course.
00:20:19.000 But what I do think that clip shows is the extent to which, not unlike racism, not unlike bigotry, the left uses these pejoratives to scare us out of the public square.
00:20:32.000 Whenever, if it's tax cuts or D-reg, they don't really care about that.
00:20:37.000 But when it's a cultural issue that gets at what the nation honors and dishonors, what it favors and disfavors, that's when they throw the pejoratives of.
00:20:46.000 And what we've learned over the last five years, or really since Donald Trump came to office in 2016, you do not save your country by retreating.
00:20:54.000 You save your country by pinning your ears back and moving forward, winning the debate, and not really caring about what they say about you on CBS and at the nightly news.
00:21:03.000 100%.
00:21:04.000 And again, everybody has a worldview.
00:21:07.000 Everybody does.
00:21:09.000 The only people that are not allowed to mention or act on their worldview are Christians.
00:21:14.000 It's important.
00:21:15.000 You have the guy that was the, what was that, the monkeypox response director.
00:21:19.000 He's dressed in all sorts of weird, like satanic garb.
00:21:23.000 You got all sorts of Levine with obviously trans ideology.
00:21:27.000 But if you dare have a biblical worldview, they're going to try and crush you.
00:21:31.000 Joy Reed continues.
00:21:32.000 And I don't mean to put you through the firing squad here, Russ.
00:21:34.000 I just think it's interesting, you know, because Joy Reed and that kind of community of cable news broadcasters, they're trying to create this fear-mongering tactic around Christians acting in government.
00:21:49.000 Let's go to 54, please.
00:21:52.000 He also wants to dismantle the Department of Education, enforce Florida-style patriotic education in our schools, end federal funding of any schools that mentions so-called critical race theory, gender ideology, or what people like Stephen Miller determine to be inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content.
00:22:11.000 They intend to force children to learn about their version of the nuclear family, including the roles of mothers and fathers and things that make men and women different and unique.
00:22:21.000 That's what our kids will learn in Trump's Christian nationalist public schools.
00:22:25.000 Wait, I'm sorry.
00:22:26.000 What would make men and women unique?
00:22:28.000 Is that radical?
00:22:30.000 Russ, that sounds like a great school.
00:22:32.000 Yeah, that part is true.
00:22:33.000 We are totally okay with schools treating men and women differently on the basis of their biological sex.
00:22:40.000 I am opposed to the Department of Education because I think it's the Department of Critical Race Theory.
00:22:45.000 I mean, you have grants after grant of culturally responsive learning where you're funding essentially a cultural revolution, not just with teachers, but with the students.
00:22:55.000 That's what all this woke is about.
00:22:57.000 It is not about improving schools and it's not about improving test scores.
00:23:02.000 It is about creating a cultural revolution.
00:23:04.000 And we are not going to save our country if we're not willing to have that debate.
00:23:08.000 So happy that she spotlighted that one because we are, it's been one of our number one priorities.
00:23:13.000 So let me ask you a strategic messaging question.
00:23:16.000 I have no problem if it's properly understood when someone calls me a Christian nationalist.
00:23:21.000 I reject when they're trying to use a dog whistle when they're trying to say it's a fascist and all that nonsense.
00:23:25.000 I love the Constitution.
00:23:27.000 You love the Constitution.
00:23:28.000 But should we lean into this as far as the label?
00:23:32.000 How from a messaging standpoint, one of our producers, who, by the way, is not a Christian, but a great patriot, says, you guys should lean in on this, that do not give the left an inch.
00:23:43.000 What do you think, Russ?
00:23:44.000 Well, I know there's a lot of disagreement on our side about this.
00:23:47.000 And I wrote a provocative article from Newsweek that says, what's so bad about Christian nationalism?
00:23:52.000 And we have leaned into it more so than many.
00:23:54.000 And that is because, unlike most pejoratives, it describes something that's true.
00:24:00.000 We are Christian who are nationalists.
00:24:03.000 We are people who believe that we have a Christian nation.
00:24:07.000 I mean, Christian nationism would probably be the most accurate aspect of what I believe and where I think that, you know, home row should be in the debate, right?
00:24:16.000 But from the standpoint of the extent to which the left is trying to use this pejorative, I understand people don't want to lean into it.
00:24:24.000 And I don't think it's that particularly important.
00:24:26.000 But I do think what is vital is that you've got to understand that it's okay to think and love and prioritize, prioritize being the key word, your nation as a Christian.
00:24:38.000 Right now, churches have all of this talk about love your neighbor, and they don't have any ability to say, no, we do not want that group of refuge coming from that country that is dominated by Sharia law.
00:24:50.000 We don't want that group of individuals, not because they're not made in the image of God, but because they have a different view of what a country should be.
00:24:58.000 And they certainly have no view of what our country with a Constitution and the Bill of Rights should look like.
00:25:03.000 So that's the kind of thing that I do think is important a little bit to prick the conversation and force it a little bit by leaning into the debate and not just say, oh my gosh, they called me a Christian nationalist.
00:25:15.000 I'm just going to run and hide.
00:25:16.000 Like that's, that is what I'm not going to do.
00:25:19.000 And I don't think that's the right approach.
00:25:21.000 But I understand if people have a different view from a strategic standpoint.
00:25:25.000 Yeah.
00:25:25.000 And also it's important to remember you're supposed to love your neighbor as yourself, which also means you must balance serving yourself and your own self-interest as you would love other people.
00:25:34.000 And so I just, the churches always just say, love your neighbor.
00:25:37.000 I say, no, I know, but the commandment in Leviticus says as yourself.
00:25:41.000 Okay, I just, I want to make sure everyone has their theology correct.
00:25:44.000 Just give it a little, I was with President Trump yesterday.
00:25:46.000 He's in great spirits.
00:25:47.000 He has really an amazing motivation to try to transform the federal government and a willingness because obviously what he's going through, you are one of the top people.
00:25:57.000 I'd put you top two or three people that have really thought deeply about how to fix this.
00:26:01.000 I know day one, you know, if asked to serve, which I imagine you will be, you'll be right there in the White House helping, you know, shape and form and restore the constitutional promise.
00:26:12.000 Well, you know, obviously I love working for President Trump and strongly support him.
00:26:16.000 And I think that he's a once in a century individual to carry this banner because of what he's experienced, but also his willingness to have confrontation with the deep state and the forces that are killing our country.
00:26:31.000 And, you know, I remember talking with him about the extent to what we were learning along the way in our first four years.
00:26:39.000 And I think he has a developed sense of what must be done.
00:26:45.000 And that's exciting.
00:26:46.000 And it's exciting to be a part of something where you're trying to put through, like, think like the left does mechanically.
00:26:53.000 How do you seize control of these agencies?
00:26:55.000 What are the paradigms that they have used?
00:26:58.000 Our side is the people that go out and build businesses.
00:27:00.000 Their side is the one that for decades stays in a particular bureaucracy and understands it from the inside and out.
00:27:06.000 And we have largely not had that.
00:27:08.000 And so my perch at Office of Management and Budget gave me the opportunity from a government-wide perspective to have theses that we are developing at the Center for Renewing America that we believe we can offer up as a set of ideas, proposals, menus.
00:27:23.000 Some you take, some you leave for President Trump if and when.
00:27:28.000 And we firmly believe that he will take office next year.

00:28:28.000 He's a terrific person.
00:28:30.000 Go to mypillow.com, promo code Kirk.
00:28:36.000 Brus, before we run out of time, tell our audience about your group, how people can support you.
00:28:40.000 AmericanRenewing.com is our website.
00:28:43.000 We exist to renew a consensus in this country that we're a nation under God with unique interests that flow from our people, our history, our institutions, and that people's enjoyment of liberty, we believe in liberty strongly, is done under just laws and in healthy communities.
00:29:00.000 And in each of those, we're trying to make a corrective of what we believe conservatism of the last 40, 50 years hasn't saved the country.
00:29:08.000 And there's a reason for that.
00:29:10.000 So we're looking to be for God instead of secular, for country instead of imperial and global, and for community instead of just economic.
00:29:19.000 And that's the organization that we have a host of issues anywhere from big tech reform to stopping the funding for Ukraine.
00:29:26.000 And we'd love if folks would check us out.
00:29:28.000 One of the concerns that I've heard expressed, and I had a very robust discussion yesterday with someone who will be voting for Trump, but he's not a Trump fan.
00:29:37.000 But to his credit, he's voting for him, is he says, Charlie, Trump needs to embrace the Nikki Haley wing, the Bush wing, because he'll need personnel to run the government.
00:29:47.000 Is there truth in that statement, Russ?
00:29:50.000 I think that's the wrong way to look at it.
00:29:51.000 And I am very, very concerned to make sure that we have answered the criticism from the Unit Party and the establishment, your smart set, right?
00:30:00.000 Is they don't believe that populist nationalist government can be done by our side and our wing of the coalition.
00:30:10.000 I reject it.
00:30:11.000 I think that there are wonderful examples of people that served and others who want to serve that are the type that can govern from an America-first perspective.
00:30:22.000 And so I think that is how that would be a mistake to believe that the only people that can govern are the ones that have adopted all of the wrong paradigms that President Trump ran against once, twice, and now a third time.
00:30:38.000 And I think we've got to raise up the right number of leaders who are built for a storm.
00:30:43.000 And, you know, those who are not playing it safe right now, watching people like my colleague, Jeff Clark, that try to be disbarred.
00:30:51.000 I hope we find people that are in any, it doesn't have to be public.
00:30:55.000 It could be at a school board level, but I want to see people that are leaning forward into conflict with great cheer, confidence, and courage to be able to serve their country.
00:31:04.000 I love that.
00:31:05.000 And I've asked this question of James Bacon and others and Sarab Sharma.
00:31:10.000 What is the number of people that will need to be the beachhead Donald Trump becomes 47th president to really reform the federal government?
00:31:18.000 I've heard different numbers.
00:31:19.000 I say, Charlie, you could do it with a mighty hundred.
00:31:22.000 It could take upwards of 1,000.
00:31:25.000 What is the answer, in your opinion?
00:31:27.000 Well, I look at it a little bit more from an institutional standpoint.
00:31:30.000 That's one of the reasons why I think it's important to lean into the organizations that give presidents, Democrat presidents, the ability to control the executive branch.
00:31:39.000 So I look at Office of Management and Budget, and I say, look, it's not just a budget office.
00:31:43.000 It has all of the tools that are necessary to be able to control the deep administrative state.
00:31:50.000 What's important is you actually have to know the tools and be willing to use them.
00:31:54.000 President Trump is someone that was issuing vetoes to protect these tools and not in the midst of an impeachment crisis.
00:32:00.000 And so he certainly knows those.
00:32:02.000 So I don't necessarily have an answer for you.
00:32:05.000 Obviously, we need a good bench.
00:32:06.000 I look at it more from the standpoint of what are those important above-the-line agencies?
00:32:11.000 What are the tools?
00:32:12.000 And are you willing to use them?
00:32:14.000 And what are the paradigms?
00:32:15.000 Obviously, Department of Justice is not an independent agencies.
00:32:19.000 There are no independent agencies.
00:32:21.000 That itself is something that if you name it and you claim it, you have provided and armed an entire bench of appointees to go in and get it right in a way that the founders would have understood.
00:32:32.000 It is going to be the big question.
00:32:33.000 First, can you win the election?
00:32:35.000 Then can you run the government?
00:32:38.000 And there's a lot of smart people that are capable and you're one of them.
00:32:44.000 And by the way, Mike Pence has this ridiculous new effort out, Russ, $20 million effort to fight GOP populism.
00:32:50.000 I read that as they're going to try to undercut the incoming administration.
00:32:55.000 That's what I see is that if there is a Republican administration, we need people to say, I'm willing to leave my farm, leave my job, and go serve this government.
00:33:06.000 I think there would be thousands of great Americans that would step up to save the country.
00:33:10.000 Russ, thank you so much.
00:33:11.000 Thanks, Charlie.
00:33:12.000 Appreciate it.
